*FINALS Dark Tournament Final Stadium*

*Sokoya Ramak VS Roen Jaeger*

User Image

Arena Specs The arena sits below ground level in the middle of a 300-foot diameter pit, the stone arena itself spanning 100 feet in diameter located in the exact center. The floor of the arena is sprinkled with just enough sand to cover up the stones beneath, but not enough to be significantly detrimental to footing or traction. Demonic-looking gates at the northern and southern end lead into the arena, through which contenders will enter upon being summoned from their quarters in order to compete in the designated match. The platform is risen approximately four feet off the ground. The new stadium is demonic in construction and theme, and has separated the elements from the arena by way of the dome ceiling. Tiered stands are lined along the walls, allowing up to five times as many spectators to be seated among them, all eager for blood. A bright LCD screen is mounted on the western wall, there to catch close-ups of the brutality for all to see.

Weather Conditions and Bonus Effects Due to the dome ceiling rather than the previous open stadium, weather effects are not applicable for the semifinals. Seeing as tickets are extremely hard to come by without paying nearly an arm and a leg, all the demons in the stands aren't going to leave without getting their money's worth of carnage! An in-ring announcer stands at the ready to begin the proceedings, and a box announcer is seated with the spectators. Will all around get the blood they came to see spilt? To whom will it belong?

Who will win? And who will walk out alive?

Koto leaned over her desk in the stands with an unmistakable anticipation, clutching the short stand of her microphone in her hand. "Here we go, people! Our next two fighters are getting ready to face-off!" the fox demon cried, her enthusiasm emulated in her voice as it rang out to the entire stadium, "And lookout, everybody! I have a feeling this is gonna be a messy one!"

User Image

"Fighting for Team Kami is Sokoya Ramak!" Koto said, looking back towards the crowd as they riled and rioted in the stands. "The demons in the stands are going completely ga-ga over this beautiful, busty babe! But don't let a pair of pretty legs fool you-- this chick took down an ogre nearly twice her size in the Semifinals! Just goes to show you that powerful things can come in small packages!"

"And it looks like Roen Jaeger of the Dream Team is going to take up this challenge!" Koto said, as the crowd began to erupt in massive booing behind the announcer, and started vaulting various trash and litter towards the arena. Various naysaying ensued, curses ranted as the Devil would approach the ring.

User Image

**"Get out of the arena and make way for someone who can really fight!"

"He doesn't deserve to be in the finals!"

"Punish this Devil filth!"

"Give me back my girlfriend!"**

Koto covered her ears with her hands, trying to take cover beneath her desk to escape being pelted with garbage that couldn't quite make it to the ring. **"Jeeze, where do you people get these things to throw at me?! Please, everybody, calm down!"**she protested against the littered assault.

Apparently, the demons hadn't taken Roen's previous two official rounds very well-- considering that he'd fallen to the same person twice. Needless to say, the betting windows were crowded with wagers in favor of the bone-weilding femme fatale.

3II_Juri_II

"Ahem!" Juri coughed into her mic to quiet the crowd. As the various noise and banter settled, the announcer started again. "Both fighters, please approach the center of the ring!"

User Image

Allowing the two to come within appropriate distance, the fish-demon looked between both competitors. Juri's hand swept out to her side, presenting the combatant. **"In the final round... For Team Kami-- Sokoya Ramak!"**

Shifting her weight and transferring her arm to the other side, she then introduced the opponent with the same enthusiasm. **"And for the Dream Team-- Roen Jaeger!"**

The crowd went wild all around them, the entire stadium seeming as if it was spinning in noise around the arena at the very center. It all came down to these two. Only one would win...

User Image

"Are you two ready?" Juri asked, gaining last confirmation from both fighters.

4The Female of the Species

"Here we go, people! Our first two fighters are getting ready to face-off!"

...

"Fighting for Team Kami is Sokoya Ramak!"

Sokoya would blink, as she heard mention of her name. Or more specifically, that she was to be the first combatant. Certainly a different course of events than the girl had originally anticipated, with her opponent still stuck in dressing room or what have you. It really didn't make a good impression on the man, taking longer to get ready than the women.

She was called to the center of the ring then, no doubt to at least prepare for the match. The platinum haired girl didn't approach right away, however. Instead, she made her way to Cameron's side. Her teammate, not far off, would be pulled into a short conversation in whispers. By the tone that could be heard, and the facial expressions upon the girl's face, it was all too clear she was bossing him around. Demanding the thief for something.

Finally the scarffed thief would rummage about his person, and produce a dagger. While by no means a fair counter to a sword, it was still a weapon.

The blade Wrote:

> The daggers name is Gurkha. It's a curved knife with a glassy black blade and a golden hilt. Its glassy appearance is due to it being made of the legendary indestructible 'Deathmetal'. > > The kukri is basically designed for chopping and stabbing purposes as a weapon of war, but it still can be used in other household or daily tasks, such as: building or digging a furrow, to cut meat and vegetables, to cut trees etc. It functions as a cross between a knife and an ax. > > Blade Length: 13.0" > Blade Thickness: 2.75 mm > Overall Length: 18.0" > Weight: 6 pounds

Giving Cameron a small nod, she would let the rest of her team retreat from the stage. And as they did so, the busty warrior would make her way to center stage. From all around came various calls. Some insults of her opponent, some heckling her, but all of them an endless roar of voices.

Odd that none of it really bothered her.

Reaching Juri, Sokoya would hold the dagger to her side, the point down towards the ring floor, as she waited. Other hand planted firmly on her hip, she looked almost casual as her ruby eyes swept the massive crowd.

She had a purpose, a determination to accomplish her one goal. Roen was the only thing left in her way.

5Oncle Roen

The Darkened Devil's left eyebrow quirked as he watched the obnoxiously large doors in front of him start to open at the most dreadful of paces. To say it was tedious would have been the grossest of understatements -- it was damn right annoying to watch the outside world slowly but surely come into existence. And if that wasn't bad enough, but was that booing he was being hit with? Ever the temperamental individual, this nearly drove Roen to dire straights of fury. Nearly. Maintaining his composure more or less and manipulating the length of his tail to wrap it's girth around the sheath of his hand-and-a-half-sword, the Devil lifted his precious weapon into the air while simultaneously leaning down to grab the bucket at his feet. Doing a quick check over of it's contents -- two glasses, ice, and a bottle of champagne -- as well as his own armored person, Roen would begin a slow and steady gait onto the field of battle. He expected the boos, but nothing could really prepare a single individual for the disdain of close to a hundred thousand demons.

**"Get out of the arena and make way for someone who can really fight!"

"He doesn't deserve to be in the finals!"

"Punish this Devil filth!"

"Give me back my girlfriend!"**

Now, Roen Jaeger wasn't keen on the fickle crowds, but that last clear comment made him giggle. Pursing his lips to ward off a smirk that threatened to take over, he continued his long journey to the ring before arriving at it's perimeter. Placing his free right hand on the top and lifting his foot onto it's edge, the Devil pushed and hefted his weight onto the ring before beginning a walk once again to arrive at it's center. Believe it or not, as Sokoya became more and more distinct on the field of battle, the Darkened Devil couldn't help but think of one singular fact. It wasn't her beauty, her demeanor, or even those garnet optics which so vividly matched his own concealed eyes, but rather the woman's stature which caught him by surprise. With her having gone against only the largest of opponent's, it was obviously hard to discern Sokoya's true height over the television; but now that they were up close, it was almost laughable. Almost. He wasn't about to forget the woman's accomplishments and think any less of her prowess simply because of her height.

Upon reaching the center of the ring and coming within earshot of both Juri and Sokoya, the Devil expressed gratitude to Juri first for her lovely voice and introductions before addressing Sokoya wholly and completely. "Can't say I could have been paired up with a lovelier opponent," he would say in his most pleasant of tones while favoring the short and feisty beau with a warm yet charmingly deceptive smiles. "Come -- walk with me. I feel it only proper that I would get to know a finalist of the Dark Tournament before I try killing her." Chuckling despite the threat, Roen brandished his arm towards the side before cocking his head. "My intentions are completely honorable, Sokoya. Please walk and tell me something about yourself and your team." Should the lethal vixen agree and begin to walk away from Juri, the Devil would set the bucket in his hand down and grab the champagne and two glasses before following suite.

6The Female of the Species

The increased tempo of the crowd would alert Sokoya to the Devil's entrance at nearly the same time as her eyes did. Apparently the spectators were anxious to see the fight, for while they might have been hooting and hollaring as she waited, all eyes had been locked on that closed door. Waiting for Roen to make his appearance.

Sokoya would idly watch the man approach the ring, his stride surprisingly casual. There was some level of recognition that he carried something extra with him, but it took a bit before she could make out what it was. And when she did, only one thought ran through her mind.

We were kept waiting....so he could get champagne?

Still, she kept her face mostly neutral, giving him a passive look as he finally approached the center of the ring. A small mental note that while he was coming to her in a friendly matter, he did have his sword brandished in his tail. Sokoya had done her fair share of surprise attacks, and didn't put it past the man to pull something similar.

Roen Wrote:

Chuckling despite the threat, Roen brandished his arm towards the side before cocking his head. "My intentions are completely honorable, Sokoya. Please walk and tell me something about yourself and your team."

"I appreciate the flattery," Sokoya would begin to reply in turn, batting her eyes as she did so, "but I'm here only for the fight. Though, there is one thing I'd like to know." Her pleasant tone turning more serious with each word that slipped out from those full lips of hers.

"Why're you fighting?" She asked, tilting her head to the side as she did so. While she was a little less than half a foot shorter than him, it certainly doubled up with this motion for a certain...cuteness factor.

She knew why she was. To find herself, and prove that it was worth something. Simple enough. But what motivated all the other fighters? More importantly...did he know what was at stake if he lost? "Surely you know you're fighting for that lamp of yours, right?" She murmured, a slight twinkle in her eye.

A particular teammate of hers had his eye on a very specific prize, one that surely Roen could puzzle out easily enough.

As a security guard brought her an umbrella to shield herself from the still-oncoming garbage, Koto was at least able to cover herself until it ended. **"Okay, now this is ridiculous!" Koto commented into her mic as she made an attempt to overlook the ring from the stands, clutching onto the handle of the umbrella with one hand, and her mic with the other. "He appears to be flirting with Sokoya in the middle of the ring! The two seem to be engaged in small talk right now."**

Koto raised an eyebrow and protruded her lower lip in a disheartened pout. "Wish we could hear what they were saying... But by the expression on Sokoya's face--" the fox-demoness said as she saw the closeup of her on the big screen above, "--she's not taking to it too kindly! Look at the seriousness of her face!"

Now Koto was very interested in whatever they were talking about, and was severely disappointed in not being able to hear it. "Juri, what are they saying?"she asked over the speakers, hoping her colleague could give her some insight to the conversation.

8Tale Feather

Alan was at his team's side of the Arena, looking on and would give a grim face to Roen in confirmation to his fears.

Earlier in the tournament, in private, Alan had met a strange girl and became friends with her, knowing full well her existence. She was cheerful, but lonely. In before the second round he had requested of Maria, that in return for his continued co-operation in the tournament, that she would gather as much information as possible about the situation. And thus he was given many of the details concerning Roen Jager's mysterious 'lamp', as well as some other interesting facts as to some rather large pot donations from a certain Darkened Devil.

Roen had almost nothing really to gain from the tournament itself. But now that Alan had found out about his situation, he now most defiantly would have something to loose.

And what was worse? Even if Roen could win his fight, there was still a chance Kami would still succeed in taking the Championship, and Alan would still get his wish.

Not far behind the dashing Devil that was Roen Jaeger, strode his long legged Gypsy bodyguard, new bruises slowly coloring up on her slender throat from the devil's own fingers. But she'd gotten even with a sharp knee to the snarglies before Raelin could break it up, so it was all good now. Not quite as splendidly dressed as her employer, Nox emerged from the entrance hall and made her way to the floor around the fighting ring clad in a close fitting low cut pin striped vest with a matching pleated skirt, crisscross gun belts of supple black leather were worn under said skirt, leaving it free to sway with the motion of her hips. The high on the thigh position of each holster, inches above her over the knee boots, ensured that each grip peeked easily from under the folds of tailored cloth for easy access should the need arise. For practical purposes her long purple hair was caught in a loose braid that hing down her back. Those being that the last time she'd attended one of Roen's matches, she'd had to drag him from the ring and carry his devil a** to the hospital and he'd bled all over her. It had taken her forever just to wash his blood from her hair! Well not this time.

The only real obstacle that she had to contend with this go-round turned out to be a rain of rotting refuse and icy beverages that were being thrown at the red Devil himself . Lucky for Nox, she received only minimal splatter from such activities as most all of the truly nasty stuff had been hurled as soon as Roen appeared and continued thus, following his progress toward the fighting floor. Accompanying the physical manifestations of the crowds distaste were thunderous boo's and jeers cast out from the writhing mass of screaming of demonic spectators.

**"Get out of the arena and make way for someone who can really fight!"

"He doesn't deserve to be in the finals!"

"Punish this Devil filth!"

"Give me back my girlfriend!"**

Of course the fact that it was these same slobbering demons that had voted Roen onto the Dream Team in the first place brought the most malicious of smirks to Nox's lips. Such hypocrites. But then again, what did one expect from Demons. Dumb shits, the lot of them. She paid their jeers no mind. Every match had to have a bad guy. This time it happened to be the boss man.

Eyes of creamy jade remained locked on the scene before her, hands swinging idly opposite her lanky strides as she watched Roen begin working his notorious charm upon Sokoya with a smoothly delivered invite to 'get to know one another'. Thick purple tinted lashes narrowed, her brow furrowing ever so slightly, her head shaking slowly from side to side.

"God damn you Roen..." she muttered softly. Too late..

Women were his strength and yet his weakness all at once. A charmer to the core, Nox had seen Roen's devastating charm and philandering ways literally turn Queens, female assassins and a myriad of other women into desperately begging wenches who clung to his leg in hopes of just one more glance from his eye. But by that same token, she had also witnessed his dreadful weakness. His fetish for getting his a** kicked by members of the female gender. He continually placed himself in situation where such an out com was not only possible, but damn bloody likely. In quite a few such encounters he'd barely survived.

Nox could so see this match heading in that same direction if not effectively nipped in the bud! And so it was up to her to yank the Boss's chain and bring him up short for a moment. Stopping short of the fighting floor, Nox stood impatiently as Sokoya rebuffed Roen's flirtatious gesture . That out of the way, she cupped her hands around the sides of her mouth for a bit of amplification and then shouted her own two cents worth.

"What is this wine and dine st Roen?! Have you forgotten your match with Lucind so soon?! Are you really dim enough to let your soft spot for the female gender lead you into another loss?!"** *Soft spot my a**, she thought but did not say. More like a hard spot!*"Or are you going to think with the big head and do it right this time?"

Only time would tell if Roen chose to heed Nox's words.

Silent My Child, Quiet your Heart. Surrender your Mind to Starry Night. Among the thousands upon thousands of spectators stood a child--a teenager, to be exact--her hands eagerly gripping the rail that separated her from the ring before her. A combination of her relative smallness and a couple tricks here and there brought her to the edge of the ring, and while she was all but positive some security guard or other was bound to come and toss her out, she was determined to watch this particular fight.

Her tell-tale black, leathery tail twitched here and there behind her, just as eager as she was, a single emerald eye staring out from behind auburn-brown bangs. Her other eye was back behind her black eye-patch, hiding from the world, and her gleaming hitai-ate was wrapped proudly about her forehead. She'd packed most of her new clothes and belongings, and today wore a goth outfit completed by her Chuunin vest, MP3 player, and headphones, the latter two helping to add a small soundtrack to the scene before her.

She flinched a bit at the crowd's jeering, her head lowering a bit as if to hide from them, but her eye remained fixed on the Devil, filled with all her hope. One would probably never be able to tell from the way she acted, and even less from the things she said, but somewhere deep down, Faustina Jaeger currently desired for nothing more than to see her father leave this dome a champion.

...Come on, Dad...Show these losers what you're made of!!! Here in My Arms, Rest now in Peace, And, Morning nigh, Joy will come again.

11Just Three Wishes

There he was! Better late than never, Raelin always sai-- was that champagne in his hand? He was courting her? Blasphemous!

The Djinn's skin took on an almost visible red glow, the slightest of scowls crossing her face. Common in pixies (especially in those Disney-created, Wendy-bashing ones from Neverland), the Djinn also showed traits of similar coloration to a peculiar expression-- jealousy? Needless to say, the demons around the petite magical being were beginning to grow somewhat nervous, further trying to slide away from her.

As Raelin sat in the stands with the audio of Roen's and Sokoya's current conversation in the ring inconveniently absent, the petite Djinn amongst the crowd of demons and apparitions could swear she felt her face (as well as her ears) burning. Although there looked to be more going on in this round than the epic final fight they'd bargained for, Raelin hadn't had long to dwell on the internal notion, as shouting ripped her attention from her various conclusion-jumping.

"Mistress Bellanox!" she shouted in surprise, the glow draining from her, resuming her natural color. They gypsy hadn't been lagging behind-- she'd been with the Devil the whole time! No wonder she hadn't come to fetch Raelin before she'd left. Bella could've hardly realized that the Djinn was out of her lamp at all! No matter, seeing as the two were both in place, now.

Quickly dashing up from her seat and striding down the long steps between rows of stands on the bottom tier above the pit, Raelin hastily made her way to the stone rail, the Djinn accompanying her at the woman's right side.

"What on Earth is he thinking, Mistress Bella?" Raelin asked exasperatedly, referring to her current owner with the proper title prefixed before her name. After all, it was Bella who currently held Raelin's bottle --or lamp-- so fondly between her breasts. "I hope he actually has a plan, or he's not going to last long against Sokoya..."

Least he could do is have another bottle. Maybe if he got Sokoya drunk off her a**, his opponent wouldn't be able to fight at all.

Raelin was hesitant and honestly feared the oncoming match. Without her Mistress' wish and the Djinn's power, Roen very well would've died after the second round, after acclaiming horrendous injuries in the subordinates bracket against Edward. Raelin could only hope that this fight would not meet a graver fate.

12II_Juri_II

"Uhhh..." Juri murmured cautiously as she listened in, seeing as she was between the two fighters. **"I don't know... something about a lamp?"** the announcer said into her microphone, to answer Koto's question.

"A-ahem, well! Enough's enough!" Juri shouted, clearing her throat. "Both fighters are in the ring, so we'll begin!"

User Image

Juri stood between both competitors, having gathered that the two of them were more than ready to strut their stuff and begin the main event.

"Alright, everybody! For the final round, Sokoya versus Roen!" she announced, as the demons packed into the rows and rows on tiers and tiers of stands began to roar loudly, cheering on their favorite fighters. After a few moments, as Juri would raise her arm above her head, they soon quieted.

"Ready? Get set..." Juri hummed, then promptly swung her arm down.

*"FIGHT!"*

Silent My Child, Quiet your Heart. Surrender your Mind to Starry Night. Faustina's brow narrowed, her gleaming emerald eye shifting over to a strange, red glow approaching the arena. She straightened herself out, standing up and leaning forward to peer curiously at the odd glow, her eye widening in surprise when she found it to be a...er...a small glowing girl? Her eye followed the girl's path, and felt her throat instantly choke when she found the other figure approaching the ring--a tall, sleek, and absolutely gorgeous woman. Both figures were approaching her father, one of them yelling something out while the other gravitated close to the woman. Her gaze shifted to the thing her father was carrying, then up to the big screen in an attempt to get a better look.

Her Devil of a father was carrying a bucket of ice, glasses, and champagne, the woman was most certainly yelling at him, and the girl was saying something or another to the woman. This was the first time Faustina had seen either of the two females, having assumed she herself was the only person here that actually knew him. So, as was typical of the little over-emotional teenager...she made a couple more assumptions, and her knuckles were soon stark white from how hard her hands were gripping the rail before her.

...Ignore them for now, she mentally coached herself, forcing her gaze to lock back onto her father, her attentions summoned by the announcer's command to begin fighting. You're here for Dad. You can deal with his...NEW family...later! Here in My Arms, Rest now in Peace, And, Morning nigh, Joy will come again.

14Bellanox Fatalis

Whole waiting for Roen to get down to business, Nox's head was turned by the sound of a familiar piping voice from behind. "Raelin?"

Reflexively, her right hand immediately rose and pressed against her cleavage, and the small ornate bottle hidden there in. Wasn't the little Djinn in her bottle? Apparently not. For after a moment, she beheld the small form of Raelin making her way from the confines of the crowd and to her side.

"What on Earth is he thinking, Mistress Bella"

User Image

"Who can tell what he's thinking Rae... Of which head he's thinking with at any given moment." ..... "I hope he actually has a plan, or he's not going to last long against Sokoya...

"You and me both Doll... You and me both." Then she gazed down at the concerned little Djinn, her smile reassuring. "I'm sure he has something worked out for the lovely Sokoya."She paused, glancing back to the ring for a moment. "Roen is a brilliant tactician Rae. And he is smart enough to have learned from his mistakes. He won't underestimate Sokoya. Nor will he show mercy as he did with Lucind." That last came out from between clenched teeth. "If he does, and he survives, I swear I'll kill him myself!"

15The Haelstrom Fist

"My, my my. We come to this competition for the ultimate clashing of two fighter's souls through their firsts - and instead, we're treated to a common soap-opera romance between a flirty git and a scatter-brained brat - I question if they even deserve the right to compete as finalists! What say you, denizens of the Dark Tournament?"

User Image

User Image

A fresh wave of trash headed towards the infamous box-bound host's head - apple cores, wine bottles, emptied aluminum cans - would be skewered into a shower of confetti, blown in an outward direction just above the announcer Koto's ears with a quick but distinct howling sound, before a man dressed in tri-colored garb again made his vicious appearance.

[SCHWARZ BRUDER] [Dark Tournament 2009 Finalist Host]

"**Or will you continue littering like unruly children? Be assured, I can remove throngs of you by force with relative ease if you cannot direct your frustrations to the proper parties. And to the two of you standing in the ring, I say - either battle or go ahead and wed one another, I think I speak for the tournament's entirety when I say we're well tired of waiting. Either show us you've earned the right to come this far, after braving all the hardships that lead you here- or step down so that another may do the honor for you. Hm?**"

It would be difficult not to see Schwarz' location, for rather than sitting behind the desk his fellow host resided at - he was standing, and no less, on top of the desk, only one foot actually connected. As the arena-bound host bid the fight a start, Bruder confirmed this by howling in a manner most eerie:

"**Blood and bone meet spirit and mind - LET THEM CLASH*!!***"

16Oncle Roen

"If you want to spoil my fine mood, you're certainly on that road." All charm and debonair aside, the Devil gazed upon Sokoya with a growing sense of hostility as she asked him of his reasons of fighting right before assuming the role of giving him a few by force. Sighing under his breath and looking away, Roen allowed his deep set garnet eyes to land upon the other members of Team Kami No Ashita in an attempt to discern who had the gall to pull of this stunt. Minute by minute, he could feel those old embers of rage and savagery start igniting within his chest.

"And here I thought I was the only one with enough nerve to manipulate people and events. So which is it, hm? I think you, Sokoya, have far more respect than to wish for things that aren't yours. Maybe the tacky man over there?" Pursing his lips and narrowing his eyes, Roen peered over the rim of his shades at Cameron before moving on with disdain.

Alas, before Roen could identify just whom might had thought up such a dastardly scheme, his attention was pulled towards his side of ring where one Carpathian gypsy began to speak her mind. What else was new? Hearing as well as listening to his bodyguards words, Roen cleared his throat and waved his gypsy friend off with a negligent flick of the wrist before placing his full attention on Sokoya at last. "It makes no difference -- for the moment, at least -- who wants to put a threat upon me and I my own; and I assure you, I do call the one who resides in that lamp one of my own. Circumstances might have changed, but celebrations are still in order."

Raising his hand and grabbing the bottle of champagne out of the bucket of ice, Roen let the bucket hit the floor before he kicked it out of the ring while he went about the tedium of unwrapping the bottle of champagne. Ignoring Juri's announcement that the fight had commenced, Roen began to speak to his opponent. The bout had become official, but it didn't mean nothing so long as fists and blades weren't being swung through the air -- DeSeer help Sokoya should she attack without prompt from the Devil.

"Listen to me, Sokoya. You just might find greater worth in yourself by the light of my words. Since the beginning of history, people have fought in the name of their gods. Bending to the demands of their fickle deity, screaming for righteousness, they wantingly spill the blood of their enemies as well as their own. The purpose behind this blood shed however, goes beyond simple explanations of religion or notions of justice. The truth is buried deep within those who wage the wars. Since the birth of this planet, a memory has become deeply engraved onto the genes of all living things; a memory of aggression as a means of survival. A memory of fighting."

Furrowing his eyebrows and scrunching his nose, Roen grabbed his Peskett close quarters combat weapon and used it's slender blade to drive a hole through the top of the cork. With a few flicks of the wrist and deft maneuverings of the blade, Roen leaned over and held the bottle away from him as a resounding pop hit his ears and a spray of liquid courage splashed everywhere. Grimacing and sucking on his finger tips before wiping the rest on his jeans, Roen proceeded to pour himself and Sokoya a drink before continuing. "Humans seek to defend their actions in the name of truth -- The act of fighting is itself a true act. Without this truth, the warrior will perish. But sometimes -- now this is me referring to what has just transpired -- the truth of battle will become tainted. For good or ill, no one can say."

Holding out his hand for Sokoya to take one of the glasses, Roen would smile sadly before moving on. "Congratulations, Sokoya. You are the first, in my years running through tournaments, to force me to bring something more than just my desire to shed blood into the ring. You have given me a reason -- a drive -- to make sure this only ends with you beaten and bloody." Scoffing, Roen downed his champagne before throwing both bottle and glass to the wayside and out of the ring. Sucking his teeth and fixing his gauntlets on his hands, the Devil took a few steps back and assumed a passive expression. "I can't afford to lose the advantage of a Djinn at my fingertips. I won't allow a person I consider a friend to be taken out of my life. I will not be threatened. Have at you, Sokoya. May your team regret what they have done to the finals of this tournament."

Sokoya let the man's new found hostility wash over her, and sweep across her teammates. She honestly wouldn't have it any other way. The girl had never fought someone in a friendly manner, and would be rather uncomfortable doing so. Odd that she was so much more at home with feelings of fear, hatred, and anger.

While she could have easily pointed out the source of the threat, Sokoya left the question lingering in the air. All the Devil would get for his searching was a half assed shrug of the girls' slender shoulders. Truth be told, the argument wasn't hers, nor did it particularly affect her. Just a passive comment to get the man more into a fighting mood.

Speaking of...Sokoya knew she needed to get hostile.

*"FIGHT!"*

There was the signal! For a moment, Sokoya's body tensed up. It was as if she was expecting Roen to throw his first attack...but it never came. Cautious still, Sokoya dared not make the first move just yet, listening to the man's words as she kept her body in a much more aggressive position.

Right hand, the one with the blade, brought to her forward as she slid her left leg back. The pervasive strategy of showing your side to an opponent. Her left hand was kept close to her chest, fingers curled up into a very lose fist. And yet, still the man spoke on.

Sokoya wasn't going to waste time like Roen. Even if she would sit there and listen, the least she could do would be properly prepare herself. She focused her body into forming whatever it claimed as it's energies, preparing a 'charge' for the battle to come. A few plans already flittering through the girl's mind on how to get some blood flowing.

More conversation, and an offer of a drink. Roen truely wasn't as into the fight as she was hoping, if he was still willing to offer her such words and refreshment. The temptation to sneak an attack in was there, but it was resisted. The idea hidden from her face, nothing more than a mask formed by her coy smile.

Finally!

A firm nod to acknowledge his statement, and the fight was underway. Despite first appearances, Sokoya wasn't much for banter during a fight. The poor girl just wasn't good at coming up with good comebacks and speechs. Blame it on the upbringing.

No doubt the charging would be complete by now. After all, the girl had been doing so over the course of Roen opening a bottle, pouring drinks, downing said drinks, with a little bit of talking thrown in the mix. She was as ready as she was ever going to be.

She took a step forward, with her left. Feet barely moving off of the ground, so as to keep her in position to react to the Devil's own movements. She knew that by moving in close, she was inviting a retaliation shot. But somebody had to act first, and Sokoya had grown tired of waiting.

Her loose left fist came in from her chest, aiming to jab the fellow in his chin. Certainly not a hard hit by any means, the girl didn't even put her weight into it. Was it because she was feigning him? Testing his defenses? Or did she have something else in mind?

Iced Earth - Melancholy

To fight in requiem for a relationship that will now never exist.

Such was Roen's poetic lamentations as Sokoya split the distance between them, putting them both close enough for fists. Though distraught over the fact that his first impression upon the beau had been a total flop, his dejection and melancholy did not blind him to the sleight of Sokoya's tactics. Taking the jab for what it really was -- a set up -- the Darkened Devil reacted appropriately and executed his counter-offense with extreme prejudice.

Shuffle stepping forward and into Sokoya's guard, Roen lifted his fists and batted Sokoya's left hand aside with the steel-plated top of his gauntlet encased right hand while simultaneously sending his left hand -- which still held his CQC Peskett weapon and protruding blade -- into his opponent's throat with a thrust; much like a fencer would. Quick and precise, the thrust was fully capable of being retracted just as quickly as a jab.

Roen's defensive measure would save his chin from mild to severe damage depending on Sokoya's intention on using bone manipulation or not while his counter-offensive served as a reminder that he was as dangerous as a man could get. Should the Devil pierce his opponent's slender throat and effectively deal a mortal blow, he would be quick about the task of throwing her body at the rest of her teammates for hasty medical attention.

Should Sokoya avoid the grievous injury by a stroke of tenacity he was most certainly expecting, more action was to come.

Time seemed to dilate as the fight kicked into gear. Everything happening in slow motion for Sokoya, and no doubt something similar for Roen. Thus was the effect adrenaline has on a person. So much so that while the fights in this tournament lasted nothing more than minutes at the longest, it seemed like an eternity for each fighter.

Her probing jab was batted aside, as Sokoya had already expected. Anticipated. Honestly, she couldn't recall the last time she'd been in a fight of some sort and the first blow was landed. It just never happened, and the girl was banking on that to save her some embarrassment and self inflicted damage.

While Roen's right hand pushed aside her left, she managed to keep her arm and hand fairly close to the center of everything. Sokoya was no pushover after all. Leaning in closer, she brought the gap between them to a even lesser degree.

Why?

Because the same hand that he'd so casually batted away was brought back in. Arcing in around his arm ever so slightly. The way she was bending her elbow meant that it was merely in the man peripherals. Oddly, though, the girl didn't bring the fist in. No, she chose to open those fingers to reveal a pretty little surprise for the man.

Bone Blossom Wrote:

> Cleverly disguised in Sokoya's palm by closing her fingers losely over it, she mocked at making a fist. All this was just a cover for her forming a shape in her hand. > > The shape in question would be that of a Lotus flower still in the process of blooming. White chunks of bone spiraling outwards from a center focal point. > > And as the flower is revealed, a small portion of energy would be poured into, causing a violent reaction. Rather than her usual tactic of launching spikes into opponents, Sokoya opts to cause the bone itself to erupt. This in turn sends sharp bits of fragmentation shooting out from her palm in a wide cone. > > The damage from such a thing would be mostly minor, unless striking at vital points. For example, a bit of fragment striking a major vein in the neck would prove to be dangerous. However, that wasn't her precise goal. Rather, Sokoya hoped to get some in the devil's eyes. Blinding her opponent would be the means for a quick win.

"For you..." The words would be murmured as she let the blossom erupt.

While all this occurred, the man would be attempting to drive a blade into her throat. Something that she hadn't really forgotten about. It was something that was easy to avoid, however. Her right hand had been held out in front of her, kukri in her grip. As the man lunged with his weapons. she would bat it away with her own blade, twisting her body some as she did so.

This, in turn, allowed her to angle the curved blade towards the metal glad hand. Catching the blow in the curve of the weapon allowed for a better control of his actions, namely keeping the man's blade away from her body. The added bonus being that she'd be getting a better angle with her left hand for his face.

20Oncle Roen

Having barely begun moving, it was going to take more than just an initiation of combat to get Roen's battle-hardened heart to pump adrenaline. As it stood, his body was just going through the motions of combat fueled by his senses of rage and blood-lust. While intense sessions of anger made many blind and devoid of even the most common of sense, the Darkened Devil had long ago learned to harness his hate and use it to his advantage. Buried beneath the handsome face and charming demeanor was a furnace of fury, and this furnace was being used to fuel the aggressions he was laying upon Sokoya in bursts of the proverbial flames of war.

He bathed his opponent's in this controlled rage to save himself from burning in it's intense heat. Where these negative emotions came from was a story unto itself with many actors and actresses who played their parts, but that chapter had been closed long ago. Team Kami No Ashita -- The Dark Tournament -- they all were it's sequel. And be it written in ink or blood, this chapter was about to end with Sokoya and Roen being the last lines.

As they were, Roen had sent his Peskett blade into Sokoya's throat while simultaneously shuffle stepping into her guard and batting aside her jab. Sokoya, to her credit, met Roen's advance with an advance of her own and snaked her left-arm on the outside of his right-arm so that it's now opening hand presented a dangerous gift to the Devil's handsome face. Simultaneous with these actions would also be her defense against Roen's weapon with her own. Sokoya swung her kukri and caught the Devil's Peskett nail-like blade before angling the curve of her weapon to the top of Roen's hand.

However, this is where the constant flux and change of battle destroyed any and every plan thrown into it. By not backing down from Roen and instead entreating close-quarters-combat, Sokoya herself had denied the range needed to be granted most, if not all, of her aforementioned desires. With barely a few feet separating Sokoya and Roen after her initial jab coupled with his subsequent shuffle steps and her leaning in, the distance had been cut to nothing, and the two would meet in intimate proximity.

Bringing his right hand in after batting Sokoya's left hand away, Roen went back into guard as he normally did when boxing an opponent while watching and feeling with bitter-sweet interest his slender Peskett Weapon being deflected. Rather than contest the kukri's weight, Roen released the weapon all together and let it dangle from his wrist strap while also bringing his left hand back for his power punches - much like a south-paw boxer. Blinding his right-side peripherals for the most part, it would come as a soft surprise when bone fabrics began spitting themselves against the plates of his gauntlet, some actually leaving scratches in the steel while others clipped the side of his head and brushed the tip of his nose.

Rather then continue the tempo of the battle between them though, Roen would take the temporary lull to instead make eye-contact with his opponent before pursing his lips in a kiss. "For you.." He would say under his breath, brows perking high on his forehead. "Something tells me you don't find me as comely as I do you." His cheeks lifted in merriment while he rolled his right shoulder, bits of bones falling off his spaulder. "I'd never touch a pretty face like yours."

If Sokoya was phased by the close quarters the pair were pulled into, she did not let it show. The two of them having progressivly drawn closer, blocking and diverting attacks at intervals along the way until each was nearly pressed against the other. Chest to chest.

Truthfully, the silvery haired vixen could be classified as either a CQC master, or a dangerous medium range opponent. Her abilities allowed for variances, in the end resulting in a woman that would meet her opponent however they saw fit. It just happened that getting in close was a personal favorite of her.

She liked to be able to see the bloodshed. The pain the opponent felt.

But Roen wasn't showing pain. Hell, her blossom allowed for only the smallest amounts of blood to leak from his face. If anything it made him more attractive, not that the girl would ever be romantically interested in the fellow. But to her....fighting and romance overlapped at points. And for as much as he said he wouldn't dare hit her in the face, she would have enjoyed it.

Then, Roen did the most curious of things. He played at wanting a kiss.

With embers for eyes, Sokoya opted to take the man up on his offer. The two were already damn near hugging, after all. The girl would lean up and lock lips with the fellow. This was assuming she was allowed to....but all actions pointed towards her actions working out. Both arms away from their heads, his own lips asking for a little bit of contact.

And while she would give him a rather passionate looking kiss, there was far more too it.

Sokoya Ramak Wrote:

> Abnormal consumption- Sokoya's diet is what sets her apart from a normal human with a gift. The girl's hunger is sated by two things. Magical energies, which she can forcibly suck from a person's body, and sentient flesh. The flesh of any creature that is of human level intelligence or higher. The former food sates her better, and also allows for certain 'super charged' abilities, expending the stolen energies. To draw from a person's body, she needs a vampire like embrace.

She was draining him of raw magical energies. Whether or not the man claimed magical proficiency was of little concern. He was a Devil! It was in his nature that Roen was supernatural. If it really came down to it, the girl could suck the life force out of somebody without any sort of magical gifts.

What Roen would feel, however, might not be easily discerned. An intense kiss that gave the impression of a slight weakness in the limbs. A head rush. The symptoms one might associate with 'love at first sight'. Though, if she managed to keep draining, the sensations would certainly take on a far darker tone.

And as for what she would obtain right away? It was already getting put to use. The stolen energies swelling up in her body. The only other action the girl would take, would be to move her left hand and arm under Roen, slipping it past his forearm to seek a grip on his shoulder.

Alan didn't know weather to be jealous, or cringe in sympathy for Roen.

Sokoya was most dangerous in the extreme close quarters that he had forced. Whatever advantage or surprise he thought he had over her in that instant, she would meet far more dangerously in turn.

Still, she KISSED him. Alan wanted to laugh just out of the sheer amusement in it. Roen played at flirting, Sokoya took advantage of even that. Alan bet Roen didn't expect THAT sort of twist to happen. Perhaps he had forgotten her vampire-like tendency that was the forefront of her public abilities.

In either case she was defiantly not above the dirty tactics of an assassin to get the job done. A fitting touch for a member of the Kami no Ashita. In spite of the fact that he was somewhat repulsed of the sight of Roen and Sokoya's lips together, the Avion boyfriend was actually proud of the poetic justice of it all.

But Alan had to wonder a moment, with his eyes looking over to Bella and the glowing 'pixy' flying around her. His own hawk like eyes homing in on the details of Raelin's features. Would they be jealous, or were they somehow getting a kick out of the reversal of roles here as well?

Alan couldn't resist, he would put his fingers between his lips and let out a cat-call whistle, cheering Sokoya on.

Silent My Child, Quiet your Heart. Surrender your Mind to Starry Night. Faustina was out of her (stolen) seat, tiny hands gripping the bar before her as she anxiously watched the battle begin to unfold. Her emerald eye flickered periodically between the display before her and the big screen, her teenage heart racing as she silently cheered on her frustratingly handsome kin. His most recent trip to the hospital--and her until-then absence from his side--had put her in quite the scare, making her helplessly and impossibly worried about the man's survival. She had, after all, never seen him fight, and had very little idea what he was capable of. The only hint she had was the raging beast that burned within her, hidden from the world by that abyss-like eye-patch...

She swallowed, flinching as the two combatants quickly closed the distance between them, whittling it down to quite personal close-quarters. She felt her cheeks flush red, and she quickly bowed her head, letting her unruly hair fall to the sides of her face in a pathetic attempt to hide it. Her teeth clenched, and she all but choked in furious surprise, emerald eye shooting to the big screen for confirmation.

Yes, indeed. Her father was kissing his opponent.

That...that...PIG!!! What the hell is with all these women?! Is that why Mother left him? Did she...did EITHER of them...even CARE?! She closed her eye, mind focusing as she tried to calm herself, tried to stop the onslaught of assumptions she was all too prone to. ...No. Father is a great warrior...an infamous S-Class criminal. It's possible this is all a part of his strategy. A bigger, greater plan...right?

Possible, perhaps. But certainly not very likely. Here in My Arms, Rest now in Peace, And, Morning nigh, Joy will come again.

User ImageFidgeting and chewing her lips at the sidelines, a disbelieving Bellanox watched in terrified amazement as Sokoya took full advantage Roen's flirtatious invitations. Everything in the girl's body language indicated that she was leaning in to meet the devil's invitation to snog. (As did the angry glow emitting from Raelin, who stood silently raging beside Nox just outside the ring.) Son-ov-a....she thought. Damn him straight to flaming Christian hell!

And for all the world it looked as if the Dashing Devil was going to once let his fetish get the better of him. Even without knowing of the magical properties of Sokoya's kiss, Nox recognized the the dangers there in. Roen was in more peril from Sokoya, than he'd ever been with Yujiro or Edward, his lips a dwindling hairs breath away from his ultimate destruction.

Only she could stop the travesty of the Devil's impending misstep, and so she would. As Sokoya pressed in close, her lips hovering before Roen's and threatening to press their petal soft swells against, Nox shouted at the top of her lungs, her deep toned voice carrying over the din.

"Roen, you IDIOT!" She shrieked, creamy jade eyes flashing angrily. **"THINK WITH THE BIG HEAD! It's a TRAP! Can't you see how vulnerable you are?! Are you that ready to loose, again?!"Fists clenched tight, she stomped her steel shod boots against the floor in furious frustration. "Keep your head in the fight! 25Just Three Wishes

***Dearly Beloved-- Kaoru Wada***

Should one's gaze venture to the petite Djinn standing to the left of the Carpathian gypsy against the cement wall separating the stands from the arena, they'd be met with a look of complete and utter shock. Her honey-golden eyes were wide; her tiny mouth slightly agape, speechless. However, there seemed to be an underlying expression to complement the severe blow that the simple kiss in the ring had dealt to her.

Was that... heartbreak?

Raelin was a being purely derived of magic-- a sort of mythos brought to existence in order to better the lives of those who were not so fortunate to have powers such as hers. Yet, even without an official, beating heart within her, the Djinn could've sworn she felt it sink. Her hand had the urge to clutch her chest, but she found that her quivering limbs were not able.

*"What... what is this?"* her mind wandered. She felt choked at the throat, as if a tight hand were grasped firmly around the soft flesh of her neck; an aching in her chest that was unparalleled by any physical feelings she'd ever experienced before. *"...Pain?"*

Two types of magical beings were created by Allah: the malaaikah (angels) and the djinn (genies). Both were bestowed with phenomenal powers to carry out their duties. The malaaikah were to live in the sky with Allah, but the djinn were to spend a majority of their dreadfully long eternity in their lamps, in the hopes that a person, Allah's most favored creations, would release them from their lonely prisons.

Beings of heaven, both Allah and the malaa`ikah, were strong, virtuous, and knew only love. Sin forbade to them all... yet ran rampant in the world below. But Raelin had noticed something quite peculiar in her time spent out of her lamp about the earthly beings... they were vulnerable. Violence wounded them, sickness weakened them, and love... love, Raelin felt, promoted a pain worse than death.

Raelin felt that she had fallen into the black abyss of that pain. The malaa`ikah never felt this sort of pain... did the djinn, having been dutifully sentenced to an imprisoned life on Earth, have that sort of vulnerability, too?

Roen had once asked Raelin, in an intimate occasion, what she felt. Raelin hadn't been able to answer... but even now, she still would be at a loss if she were in demand to put her emotions to words.

She felt something welling up inside her... something that begged to be released. Unable to hold herself back from relinquishing it, Raelin's dainty hands clenched the cement rail, nearly throwing herself over the side as she yelled out.

*"GET AWAY FROM HIM!"* the Djinn cried, tears flying from her golden eyes. As the tears fell to the ground, they'd turn into a small pile of sand, and wisped away.

Raelin knew that Sokoya was not to blame. But seeing the woman wrap her arms around him nearly tore her figurative heart apart...

26Oncle Roen

Wary as anyone in their right mind would be, the Darkened Devil would shift and lean his torso away from Sokoya as she went in for a kiss, but it was already too late. Too late for a retreat he was far from willing to go through with. Dropping his head and slanting his face upon contact, Roen allowed his eyes to go into an almost lazy stare at Sokoya's face before finally slipping shut. A sweet and tender kiss he could only lose himself in; a kiss that invoked his envy for whomever had the privileged of feeling those lips on a regular basis. Such was the power of her kiss that he would have been loathe to part from it were it not for some strange feeling overtaking him.

That strange feeling would be his supernatural perceptions being broadened without his consent. Also without his consent would be their search for the dark energies he used to empower himself through the use of his retired World Splitter and the Death Throe clutched in his tail. These dark energies would be tapped into by Roen's supernatural perceptions, be pooled into the Devil, and be transferred through the kiss and into Sokoya much like a circuit. All of this upon initial contact. And upon initial contact, Roen would lurch away almost frantically as a dark headache bloomed within his cranium and exploded outward much like Sokoya's previous lotus blossom.

Cocking his chin and grimacing, the Devil squinted at Sokoya and moved his left to knock Sokoya's left hand away while the thuds in his head blotted out the cries of the audience and all those within it. Roen was a psychic, and as a psychic, he dabbled in energies best left to those who were specially trained for them. These energies, even with training, most often led to insanity, possession by otherwordly creatures, and more often than not -- Death.

But only for psychics. With Sokoya having no degree of psychic power what-so-ever, it was anyone's guess as to what could happen to her when she took these dark energies into her. She could go insane, her head could explode, she could develop a horrible headache just like the one Roen was experiencing, she could be possessed without having anything in the ways to combat the threat, or...nothing could happen. Anything and everything was possible in this once-in-a-life time occasion.

Bringing his right hand to his mouth and running his sword-calloused fingers across his lips to ward off the sensation of Sokoya's plump lips, Roen would squint at his opponent and murmur once again as he watched her standing there. "You okay?" An honest question to be sure. He wanted to bide abit of time to gather himself while simultaneously ensuring the lovely Sokoya was still well enough to continue.

27The Female of the Species

User Image TURN #4

The crowd was in uproars over the change of pace. What was supposed to be a fight was looking to delve into becoming a romantic play or some such. But if only they knew, those in the crowd shouting out their shocked reactions. If only they knew what was truly going on. Roen's entourage was infuriated by the latest development, but Sokoya never even notice. She was far too caught up in the moment.

Lips finally parted, leaving the pair to sort of 'digest' the situation. While Roen seemed to be going through one hell of a headache, Sokoya has having her own little reaction to the whole thing.

Such powers might make a normal person go crazy....but what if the person was already crazy? Sokoya was by no means a stable or normal person. Who, with normal mentality, could bring themselves to eat another human being alive? Who could lay claim to getting their whole hip shattered, moan in ecstasy, and still be considered an average Joe?

Sokoya was already crazy.

What Roen ended up doing, on accident no doubt, would be simplified as reversing the girl's process. Since entering the tournament, Sokoya had steadily drawn herself into a sort of stable standing. Her two personalities fused into one, with her bloodlust and sadomasochistic tenancies somewhat fading away. Until this happened of course.

And as Roen would come to re-regard the woman he was facing, perhaps he would notice the changes that he had wrought upon her. Once lively eyes had taken on a deadened tone. Lifeless bloody hues staring at the man's chest, unblinking. Her delicate face devoid of any expression, save for one:

She smiled.

It was devoid of any sort of joyous expression, however. Something about it just felt gut-wrenchingly wrong. Even her skin seemed to take on a lighter, sicklier tone.

"Heh." The girl's lips would part, filling the quiet air with her cackle. "He..hehehe..."

Roen Jaeger Wrote:

> Bringing his right hand to his mouth and running his sword-calloused fingers across his lips to ward off the sensation of Sokoya's plump lips, Roen would squint at his opponent and murmur once again as he watched her standing there. "You okay?"

"Hehahaha!" The doll like woman roared, finally locking eyes with the man. No response other than the odd laughing.

And with that, a more overt change would occur. The hand that Roen had so casually tried to bat away would...contort. The flesh down it's length writhing along her arm. Then, an explosion of starchy white. A massive quantity of bone being formed and pushed outwards, wrapping itself around the length of her arm and coating part of her shoulder in the process.

As the bone folded and wrapped around her body, pain erupted through her arm. Sweet, delicious pain, as protrusions of bone forced their way through her flesh, ripping and tearing their own paths. Sure, her skin healed over such inflicted wounds, but the pain was the same. Every time.

It took no more than a second for the material to settle in, chitinous plating coating the length of her limb, even going to far as to cover her hand and fingers. The material was by no means a smooth coat, rather it took the appearance of a cliff face, jagged points down the length of it. Even a spike thrust up from her shoulder.

Not one to waste time, Sokoya would capitalize upon her new armor. She would show Roen what it mean to be a living, breathing weapon. And to prove to all those people in her life that looked upon her with disgust and pity. Prove that she could do something.

With a surprising burst of energy, the platinum haired fighter would send her assault. Kukri in her right hand would be brought hooking forward, from her side. By no means a full power swing, due to their proximity, it still held a lot of force to it as she tried to drive the weapon into the Devil's lower side. The same side whose arm was up at the man's face.

Meanwhile!

Her now armor coated left would be seeking a grip on the man's side, effectively holding him in place by grabbing onto his armor, a little below the arm pit. Through all of this, the girl would attempt to fall back into a fighting stance, her right leg moving forward as the left slid back across the hard arena floor.

28Oncle Roen

Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark "I'm sorry." To say Roen was hurt by Sokoya's descent into madness would have been the grossest of understatements - he was crushed. Crushed because there was nothing he could have done to prevent it, nor was there anything he could do now to save her from it. Ridden by guilt, his words would be tinged with bitter regret and pity for the creature he had unwillingly created. The Dark Tournament -- nay his life -- was filled with nothing but regret. He was plagued by it. He lived by it. He was darkened by it. Living up to the title of the Darkened Devil, Roen's eyes disappeared from natural sight as his chin dipped and the bridge of his forehead enshrouded his face in darkness.

Swallowing the lump in his throat as well as the bile coating his tongue, the Darkened One disengaged himself from the pain in his head while desensitizing himself to Sokoya's plight. If he didn't, he would have wept in sorrow for what he had allowed his opponent to do to herself. And though tempted, he couldn't even stomach the idea of offering an apologetic look towards Team Kami No Ashita. As it was, he would just become dispassionate to the paltry excuse for a final's competition and go through the motions of the brutal necessity of putting down a Beast of Blood. Out of courtesy for the woman he had become infatuated with but existed no more.

Tucking his right elbow in as was his wont after wiping his lips, Roen would go into an extreme offense despite the fact that Sokoya's arms went in to both grab him on one side and skewer him in the other. Sliding his left foot forward and pumping up, the Roen aimed to drive his knee-cap into his former opponent's abdominal section just as her kukri came in to split the boiled and tooled leather of his cuirass and drive into the riveted links of the mail beneath. With the gambeson beneath acting as a cushion, Roen would only feel a bruising thud in his bottom ribs as his knee (possibly) pushed the air out of Sokoya and briefly incapacitated her.

Meanwhile, the man's tail would flair out and curl behind him in preparation of unsheathing the Death Throe to fulfill it's name sake.

29Tale Feather

Alan would press up against the Arena edge, too far to interfere, nor would he quiet yet. He saw Sokoya's demeanor change, and it set a chill down his spine, and a pain in his heart.

"Oh no..."

Roen didn't realize this was not HIS insanity ripping at her, but her own.

Alan would be tempted to shout at Sokoya, call her name in hopes that the familiar tone, and the experiences shared so recently would snap back to the forefront. But... he would hesitate.

Roen and she were in close quarters, and to call at her now might make her vulnerable to attack. There was also the fact that her berserk state would be just as if not more lethal than her fighting for a deep reason.

Was it right for him to interfere with that? What was the right course of action to do?

"Zotreth uns'aa! Jivviim uns'aa! Belbau uns'aa jiv'undus!" The girl's singsong voice would chime out as she managed to both latch onto his side with her bone laden left arm, while simultaneously managing a stab with the kukri in her right. And still, she continued to keep her dull red optics locked on the man, a playful smile on her ruby lips. The red a contrast to her porcelain like skin.

It would seem that she was almost unaware of the Devil's attempted counter attack. Truthfully, she didn't even need to be. The two of them were still so very close. So close that the best that the man would manage would be to give the side of her thigh a solid 'Whack'. And as he did so, the smile on the girl's face widened.

She enjoyed being hit.

Now she needed to return the favor! Problem though, was that this violent little doll in the ring was a bit of a 'one upper'. Always had to be the best. So while Roen gave her thigh a bruise, her response would be to wretch her knife from his leather armor, and attempt to plunge it higher. Namely into the man's armpit.

Sokoya wasn't one to just stop there, however. She planned to unleash an onslaught against Roen. To butcher the man and devour the remains. And to do so, she aimed to overwhelm him with attacks. Truth be told, he'd already let this one hit in some sense.

Her left arm, coated with bone as it was, would grip firmly into his side. A tiny touch of her energy forming the joints in her fingers into solid pieces, effectively locking her hand in place until she felt like removing it.

This is where things get nasty.

Like so many times before, Sokoya would form up the energy into her arm, into her hand. And when she did so, she formed up a spike inside of her, attached to her own bones and the armor alike. It felt like someone had ripped out a chunk of her arm doing so, but the pain only sent her to a higher level of ecstasy. Upon it's formation, the spike would then be launched out of the palm of her hand.

Spike Wrote:

> The spike is smaller than some made by the girl, managing only about half a foot in length once fully extended. Protruding out from her palm, it is roughly the width of a quarter. Poised to enter into the man's ribcage, the force of it being projected from her locked on limb would be similar to a heavy compound bow fired from point blank range. > > The worst part about this spike would be when(if) it manages to break into the man's side. If this is the case, then Sokoya would proceed to drain the Devil once more of his dark, chaotic energies. Feeding off them to her own gain while no doubt giving him yet another dose of that painful headache.

As for Roen moving the sword his tail was holding up? Either Sokoya didn't notice, or she didn't care.

Silent My Child, Quiet your Heart. Surrender your Mind to Starry Night. "FATHER!!!"

The cry was out before she even knew she'd said it. Her torso was, by now, leaning far over her ledge, her emerald eye already beginning to water as it stared in horror at the fight before her. With every exchange, it seemed the infamous Devil was only becoming more and more a captured plaything of his bone-encased opponent. Perhaps the most nerve-wracking of it all was that she had no idea of how he was holding up, no concept of how much strength he had, no idea as to what he could and could not take, no premonition of what things he might possibly have in store. She simply didn't know, and she HATED it!

Where once was contempt and loathing for the kiss was now a swelling anxiety, a fear voiced in the desperate cry of a cub watching her kin fall before a hunter. A sort of panic attack began to manifest, her breathing quickening as tears began to break loose from her watering eye. The fear of loosing her father, the helplessness of how she'd survive with no one left for her, and the confusion of how this being--this Devil--she'd always thought to be unstoppable was so easily reduced to a punching bag...

Her lips were shaking, and her throat choked, speechless after that single, shouted word, but still her mind raced, grasping at any alternate possibilities it could come up with regardless of how miraculous they'd be. He'll be okay...He'll be okay...He'll know what to do...He HAS to...!!!

She'd just lost her mother. She refused to loose her father so soon thereafter. Here in My Arms, Rest now in Peace, And, Morning nigh, Joy will come again.

32Oncle Roen

If Sokoya wanted to spout an evil language spoken by evil people, couldn't she have chosen something a little nicer on the ears? Like French? As it was, the linguistics of a subterranean elf did little in the ways of intimidating him. In fact, he could only feel warm and fuzzy at the fond memories of Jhulae Tor'Ana cursing his very existence, damning him to the nine circles of hell, and--well, these weren't the fondest of memories he had with the Drow Maiden Jhulae, but they were certainly the only ones he remembered her use of her native tongue with him! But Roen couldn't afford to think about that woman..

Or her butt..

Or her lips....

DeSeer-damn women always screaming his name and blotting out his concentration! Where was he? Oh, Sokoya! And what happened? That woman went bloody insane in front, that's what! Things weren't looking very well for the Devil from afar, but only Roen knew what was really happening in the ring. He was in complete control. Well, as much in control as anyone could be in a fight.

With is knee-cap glancing off the side of Sokoya's right thigh, Roen had to reevaluate. For an insane woman, she showed more reasoning in terms of her defense than most sane opponent's Roen faced. In light of this, the Darkened Devil concluded that Sokoya wasn't just another mindless fiend, but rather just another raging young adult going through a crisis. If he had seen this once, he had seen it a million times -- It wasn't the dark energies that corrupted her, it was her own natural lack of will.

Just another weak woman to be manipulated, which was exactly what he was doing. He goaded her into close range; He let her grab his cuirass; He didn't even bat an eye when she drove her kukri into his well protected side. He was waiting for the moment Sokoya left herself open and unbalanced, and that time was now. Her leg was lifted to ward off the blow of his knee, her hands were occupied attacking a well protected body, and her face was incredibly close to both of his hands.

Before the time Sokoya would be attempting to yank the wide girth of her blade out of his thick leather armor, Roen was left with the prime opportunity to stab Sokoya right between the eyes with the Peskett CQC weapon dangling from his wrist-strap. She was on one leg, leaning into him, defenseless and -- still just another angry little girl. No longer was there a necessity within him to respectfully put her down, but rather the option to.

____________

"La-de-da." If Sokoya was orgasmic now, wait until she felt the sharp jerk of Roen's torso as he set his left foot down behind him and twisted his body to the left to push his right shoulder into her bosom. If her fingers were still locked in his armor, they would find themselves broken from the odd positioning and dramatic shift - unless she let go. If not, it was all well and good, because the Devil wasn't done. With her kukri coming for somewhere in the middle of his chest due to the shifting of his body, Roen would use his free hands to save himself while cocking his chin up for good measure.

Extending his right hand out to the bend of Sokoya's right elbow, the crazy woman would find that her arm could go no further in it's attempt to stab Roen while the Devil himself grabbed his Peskett CQC weapon from it's wrist strap and proceeded to aim another thrust of it's tip into Sokoya's throat by crossing his left arm over his extended right. If everything worked out, The Insane Beau would be choking blood all over Roen while her awkwardly placed Bone-Harpoon would tear through leather, chainmail, cotton, flesh, muscle, and bone - considering if she still held her hand down there.

If she did, damage would be relative and too complicated to accurately detail. Between the the position of Sokoya's hand (if it was even still there), the resistance of Roen's armor in entirety, and the type of bone used for impalement, it was anyone's guess how severe or mild the injury to Roen could be.

33Bellanox Fatalis

Electrified eyes of creamy jade remained trained upon the action on the fighting floor, the excitement of the close quarters battle catching hold of the leggy Carpathian and holding her riveted to her vantage point there in the Dream Teams section of the side lines. Nox was not a member of said Team, nor had she even fought in the Dark Tournament. Nevertheless there she stood her body tense, hands balled into tight fists as she silently (for now) urged Roen on to success.

Beside her still stood the furiously glowing Djinn, Raelin. Indeed, Nox could see the bright emanation as well as Raelin's profile in the peripheral of her vision and wondered briefly if the lovely little sprite might burst into flames, so consumed was she with burning jealousy.

Well, Nox thought with the slightest of mental shrugs, Seeing as the boss is a notorious man whore, she'll get use to seeing him caught up in the arms of other women. Romantically or otherwise... Eventually. Maybe. If he survives this one.

From her position, the action in the ring looked for all the world like some mutated fighting form that was part wrestling, part sword fight and part brawl with a heavy dose of soft core porn thrown in for spice! As it was, one might be inclined to wonder when the funky guitar music would suddenly sound in the back ground. But the truth of the matter was that the energies emitted both from the fight itself and the almost defining excitement of the mostly demonic spectators combined was enough to dose almost any mere mortal in the arena in an intense adrenalin high. Couple that with the amplification properties of the arena's demonic architecture (Cause we all know, more is always better to demon kind) and WHAM! Nox, being one of the few full blood human's present could feel the build up. And she surely felt it when it hit her full force with an increasing surge of hormonal heart pumping electricity! As intense as say... Riding her beloved Ducati 1098S at night through mid town traffic at top speed with a pack of angry Lycanthropes in hot pursuit. What a rush! Such was undeniably her drug of choice.

Suddenly the ferocious action in the ring altered slightly, the sexual tension drained utterly as Roen with a quick twist of his wrist, lifted and brought his wicked looking Pesket into play, moving to plunge it into the insanely gibbering Sokoya's lovely throat!

"Do it! No Mercy!"

Nox shouted vehemently before sucking her lower lip between her teeth and holding her breath for a seemingly frozen moment to await the outcome. Even with making use of every trick in her mental book to maintain control of the euphoric feeling that came with such bio-chemical surges, Nox stood poised, her face lit with an almost frighteningly bloodthirsty excitement! Was this it? Would this be the culmination of the violently erotisized fight taking place in the ring? She would surely see.

User Image TURN #6

For someone in absolute control of the fight, the Devil was certainly one to space off. His head didn't seem in the game, though truthfully neither was Sokoya's. Her desire wasn't to win, per say. It was to get as much enjoyment out of the fight as possible. Her drow words not meant to intimidate or surprise, but to simply beckon him on. Urging him to harm her as she aimed to do the same to him.

However, a few key differences were starting to arise between the two fighters. Where on relied on equipment and outside sources of power, the other was the weapon. Roen had his armors, his weapons, the energy in his sword. All Sokoya had was herself.

Where Roen tried to strategize, to plan, Sokoya acted on impulse. Fighting on whims and instinct alone. She was a doer. A dog chasing cars, not having a clue what to do with one if she caught it. While both methods of fighting had their merits, it would appear the Devil's was coming up short for one solid reason.

Assumptions.

The first flaw being in thinking that the femme fatale had lifted her leg to block his knee attempt. No such movement had been required. After all, the two of them had been in intimate range of each other. Inches separating the two. There just wasn't room for Roen to lift his knee to strike her. Likewise, she'd turned to the side, removing her gut as a forward striking option.

The next being that by simply turning his trunk, that he'd generate enough force to shatter a hand that was made up of material stronger than steel. Such was unlikely. Other variables had to be accounted for; Slight slack on his armor, her arm's ability to move, and her whole body's capability to reposition. Likewise, there was no need for the girl to lean in on Roen.

Still, with only one arm holding his body, there was little Sokoya could do to stop Roen from turning to face away from her. Though, as he did, the girl did a bit of shuffle stepping to keep her arm locked properly onto him and moving back slightly. Turning so as to fully face her combatant, the movement drained a lot of force from her attempted stab with her right arm.

The same arm Roen was aiming to block. At least in theory. For his left to cross over his right, then he must be aiming to grab her right elbow. Typos aside, it would end up working to the girl's benefit. Why? Because he stopped her weapon and hand right in the same space that he was aiming to thrust to. It took no more than instincts to simply lift her weapon up to push aside his stabbing attempt. Though, it would be questionable whether the man even had the reach to stab her in the first place.

Through all this, Sokoya's spear would still be launched into the man's side, uninterrupted. Aside from Roen's armor, of course, but that would prove less than adequate. The make of the projectile was simplistic. A cone, coming to a single point. Slipping into one of the rings of chainmail, it would simply push through and rip open a hole, the force more than enough to drive a few links into breaking.

She couldn't say how much damage the thrust would do, since Sokoya knew little of Devil biology. But....there was both a lung and a heart in that area, at least in a human body.

Then, there was the draining. Once again pulling energy from the man's body, from his sword, or from where ever she managed to pull from. Though, rather than forming armor with the stolen and devoured power, she would put it to a more offensive use.

Drawing upon the idea that she'd had with the Bone Lotus, Sokoya kicked the move up a notch. Rapidly adding more mass to the spike already in the man's torso, making it more dense so as to not use up more space. In essence, Sokoya took a fleeting moment to build up more shrapnel, which would then be erupted inside Roen's torso. More power by virtue of expending her own energy and the remnants of the stolen energy.

It'd be hard to live through such an attack, sending chunks of sharp bone into his vital organs and what not. And she did all with a small smile on her face. As if she was taunting with the man.

Inconsistencies and vague descriptions were afoot! The only part range played when someone was close enough to get hit by a knee was how much it was going to hurt. The closer the opponent was, the more a knee-strike would hurt. It was that simple. Sokoya, to her credit, found a way to put her thigh in the way of Roen's thrusting knee-cap by twisting her torso and not lifting her leg up. Yet somehow, Roen's knee didn't hit her in the rib cage. Bravo, if Roen had a say when watching the re-runs. Moving on though.

So Sokoya really wasn't off balanced at all! She was on her lovely feet and unleashing bloody hell upon the Devil. But again, for an insane woman, she had the most discerning aptitude of guaranteeing her safety. As soon as Roen twisted his torso and shoved his right shoulder into her tits, darling Sokoya had the unwavering desire to molest the floor behind her with a shuffle step backwards -- paying no heed to the fact that she was just going through an offensive onslaught with her kukri upon his person.

Baring in mind that what the Devil had intended upon doing depended vastly upon his perception that Sokoya was leaning into him, on one foot, and swinging viciously into his armpit, it would come as no surprise that his entire range of tactics would change once he realized that she had a split-second change of heart and went into a back peddle. How would he knew she started moving back? Besides her entire profile and shadow within his sight, it was her tits. Those soft pillow-like chesticles he so lovingly nuzzled his shoulder into were lurching away -- dammit all!

Roen wouldn't stab for a throat that just wasn't going to be there. Roen wouldn't grab an arm who's lethality rate was laughable. The Darkened Devil would watch his opponent shuffle stepping back and twist his torso towards her in turn while reaching up to grab the leather-wrapped hilt of the b*****d Sword hovering above his right shoulder. Unfortunately, not even he was faster than the extension of Sokoya's spike. Even more unfortunate, while Roen was unsheathing his weapon in a slash, his thick leather armor would be straining under the pressure of Sokoya's spike. Sokoya's spike made of a bio-material not known very well for maintaining pointy tips and cutting edges would powerful jut into the Devil's armor, effectively straining itself against the masterfully crafted leather before finally plunging through.

By having her hand so close to the Devil's body before releasing her spike at it's super-duper speed, Sokoya had denied her attack's ability to achieve it's maximum punching power thanks to the natural laws of physics.. Stripped of it's initial burst of speed upon contact with the Devil's armor, her spike would be met with even more resistance once touching the riveted links of Roen's mail.

By this junction, even more stress would be put upon her hollow bone, resulting in a few cracks along it's length (that could very well lead to a shatter!) as well as a stripped tip from gnashing against metal. Alas though, the remaining energy would push through the riveted links of mail, breaking them, to push bluntly into the Devil's gambeson. Well, it hurt. It'd probably leave a mild bruise to boot.

It'd be right around this moment that Roen would be unsheathing the Death Throe from right to left, his left arm moving across his chest in a deadly swipe as he aimed to sever Sokoya's head from between her shoulders. Hopefully, she would still be smiling when her head hit the ground.
