Vincentius Alaphare, the leader of team Draconic Fear, was the first to step forward. He was dressed in his massive armor, the spiked, enchanted plate that he'd had made for him in his younger days as a berserker, and had worn this armor, or a variation of it, since. It was really a strange suit of armor, and the pieces were interchangeable. Of course, they were all made in the same way, yet, they were meant for different purposes. The variation that Vince currently donned was the more heavy version with the large shoulder-plates that stuck out to the right and the left side, sticking out over his shoulder.
The chest plate was bulky, and wider than normal, and was loose-fitting, much as if someone were to wear a steel suit of armor, as opposed to someone wearing leather armor. The leg armor was much the same, as it was one of the few pieces that didn't change, but it didn't matter. All of the pieces of the armor had two things in common. The armor was enchanted to resist extreme cold and heat, and the armor had spikes lining it in crucial points. Along the arms, at the top of the shoulders, on the thighs, on the shins, and along the chest. The armor was definitely a piece of work with its spikes and dark metal, along with the fact that each spike was magically melded to the armor as if to prevent the spikes from snapping off under pressure.
Not only was the armor a piece of work, but it was heavy, and was definitely made for someone who planned to be slow, and was absolutely strong. Vincent stood to 6'11" and weighed 245 pounds, and was capable of wearing the armor easily, even though it did hinder his movement just slightly. Not to mention, the armor had to be held on in an odd fashion, just so he could execute what would be needed as a contingency plan. Of course, he wouldn't need it right away, or at least, he hoped he wasn't going to have to use it right off the bat, but it wouldn't matter. When he stepped forward, closer to the arena where he was being waved to go, the crowd would see the odd working's of Vince's back.
The front plate was held by two straps that were wrapped in very thin sheet metal crossing over one another and locking into a part on the back of the lower-part of the armor that covered the legs. The legs were fully covered, but only in this variation of the armor. As stated, it was meant for power and endurance, not for speed. The straps from the top half of the armor were over-top of a thin iron plate that was stuck firmly underneath the shoulder armor, and fastened in place by the leg armor and the straps that were connected to it. Underneath the iron plate, two more straps ran, securing the shoulder plates to the armor the same way as before.
The only reason his armor was like that was because of the simple fact that Vincent would need to get rid of it quickly, and the straps would prove an easy fix to all of the weapons at his disposal. These weapons included the massive greatsword on his back that weighed roughly ninety pounds. The blade was black, curved, and even the flat sides looked rugged, as if they were covered in something; which of course, they were. They were covered in scales which were crafted beautifully into the blade, even though, they weren't there for pure looks.
The sword was six feet long, a foot long hilt, and five feet in the blade. The hilt looked rather small for both of Vince's large, gauntlet covered hands, but that was simply because he didn't much intend on using both hands. One hand would be used, primarily, and that was all he would need. The sword was secured to his back by a set of straps that ran vertically across his back, secured by the X-crossed fashion, and connected to the sides of the armor which curved around his side. The other weapon Vince carried, rather, other set of weapons, were the two gauntlets upon his hands.
They were made of the same black material as the armor, and were covered in black scales as well. However, what made them unique, and useful as weapons, as that over the knuckles, four massive claws jutted out, over the finger-fittings. They were roughly a foot long apiece, and rather thick, though not as thick as Vince's long fingers. His head was open to the world, but it didn't matter. He very much doubted that people would waste power by swinging upwards at the air to try and strike his head when they could try and stab at Vince's exposed areas, which would be easy to find when he started swinging his sword.
With a grin, the large man stepped forward and stopped mid-arena, waiting for the approach of his team, and the other team. Of course.. there was a little bit of problem with Seph and William.. and so.. he wasn't sure who exactly was going to fill in. He did know, however, that Mordecai was still with him, so he was more than confident that they would be fine. So, he looked ahead at the entrance for the other team, awaiting the arrival of the team's captain.
