Ahg..!! A point blank shot of that spit was agonizing. One had to understand its dangers: capable of so many angles, without having to worry about things like positioning of a limb. It was deadly. And somehow, Jason Steel knew of it. That was all Hibsky could ascertain before his left eye's sight was robbed. The flesh around it would bruise to confirm a shut eye. 50% vision destroyed.
...however.
... truth is, this was a game of dishonesty. Jason had no interest in heeding Seth's words. Seth had no interest in honoring his words. It was a mutual betrayal.
The sink was removed simply to give Seth a quick glimpse of something he needed before that agonizing pain took hold. No. More than that, it was to bait Steel into trying for the target he had been attempting to get ahold of the entire match. A "lapse of defense" would be too enticing. However, the Pendulum Fist was ready to make something horrible happen as well.
What was the true purpose of his little offer?
Stalling for a few more seconds so he could use Smiling Demon again.
Ripping that sink out of the bathroom wall likely weakened its already poor structural integrity. After all, it had countless holes in it where you could see pipework with tape of all things, almost assuredly melted into ineffectual goo by now, wrapped around the seams. Of course, there was no mention or sight of insulating materials for these myriad pipes, and if in desperation, "repairs" had been attempted with tape on stream transfer pipes.. then they weren't exactly in the most structurally sound shape.
HOCCCK-PTEW
Bloody spit fired from Seth's own lips. Down on top of Steel's roaming right hand. It wouldn't stop Steel for more than a single moment, but that was enough. If Steel wanted Seth's throat after that, he could have it.
All Seth desired in exchange... was Jason's body.

This is a hard hitting bash attack that can floor opponents and potentially break bone, but can only cover a two foot gap and leaves no room for redirection once initiated. Effectively, it turns the drunken Seth into an alcoholic wrecking ball, which can attack from impromptu angles but is not an effective gap closer otherwise. > > > > SPIRIT: 4/20.
Seth's legs were dug in as they were to help tilt Jason to Seth's left a little, along with Seth's upper limbs. In Jason's pursuit of the monk's throat, he would likely not see the issue with a little tilting.
Then.
SCHWOOM went the two men, Jason's upper back and shoulders being the mast of their bodily ship. Thanks to the wet and slick floor, and Jason's smelly wet clothing along with bodily occupation- resistance opportunity was minimal.
They were setting sail! The S.S. Hibsky, as Seth's head dug down chin-first into what would probably still be a choking hand.
The sink wall, weakened by that sink departure from earlier and its already s**t integrity from its many holes, would split with ease. Until...

Seth was using his supernatural lurch to plow the two men, Jason first, into not just one or two but the entire series of steamwork. Any seals or switch-valves would become meaningless with this demolition work on the source. Without insulation, the metal would burn horribly- but the real danger was the wave of steam that would engulf them, since the boiler likely wasn't high tech enough to self-regulate in the event of pressure release. Because of course it wasn't, this was a shitty bar bathroom.
It being hot and burning wasn't really "the issue."
Prolonged exposure to good ol' hot steam with any pressurization worth a damn was bad. There were of course thermal burns which you'd feel first, the contact of heated gaseous water with your body. Then there was said water seeping into the pores of your flesh to burn you again, condensing into liquid form and hyper heating the fat under your skin.
Brief contact with a small area on the body under these conditions was bad.

Blisters filled with pus trying to isolate damaged flesh was terrible. However, if you were unfortunate enough to have sufficient liquid on your person- say.. from having soaked or wet clothing. Well then, the problem, and area of effect, intensified. Rapid flesh swelling. Loss of limb strength. Even moments of such exposure to a foot could see it grow three to four times its size and require being cut loose from a boot, for example - rendering any weight on that foot useless for weeks to months, let alone in the immediate future.
The problem here of course: Jason had a lot more to contend with than just a spot or two on one limb.
Seth's arms, Seth's feet, Jason's back, Jason's skull, Jason's limbs...
...were all in line for getting a vicious bath. Hibsky's only saving grace would ironically be Jason. His body would shield Seth in certain locations, like his face. That was cool, because Seth didn't even want to imagine becoming a "hot head" in that context.
Hopefully, Jason lived up to the name "Steel."
Seth really needed him to.
