From a dark corner of the temple steps forth a single man. Ashen grey locks cascade down to obscure his violet eyes, doing little to hide the two pristine balls of feathers and fluff that protrude from his skull. Wings of violet wreathed in azure flame span behind him to a total wingspan variable between five feet and what could possibly be infinity.
The depiction of a phoenix in tears is mirrored both upon the back of his loose fitting grey shirt and upon the tatoo on his back, the flames thereof almost moving as the tears seem to actually flow. Within his cargo pants a series of magical components he no longer truly needs are on hand, along with a few special pieces of equipment he saw fit to bring along, notably two travel sized grenades from his Aegis days.
Several components about his body seemed rather...unique. Floating about his head a series of planes of magical force deflect light and energy, almost as if they are intended to block not only physical assault, but mental assault as well. The strand of azure orbs floating about his neck glow with an unearthly power, a powerful aura of arcane magic hanging about them. A similar aura hangs about the chain wrapping about his arm and hand, the azure tint following the same line as the end of the chain flicks about his upturned palm, a metallic feather with jagged edges. The last two components that seem out of place are the pinpoint of bright blue light which flits around him randomly and the cerulean glow about his boots that seems to bounce about out of sync with his own boots.

From the depths of the dim entrance corridor to the temple a quiet click clack of feet on the hard wood floor could be heard over the silence of the Hindu temple. As the sound became louder it was obvious that someone had entered the temple, the flickering flames of the tourches illuminated the figure lightly still leaving mysterious shadows upon his features. The figure was a demon in a house of gods. The figure was the man known as Dante.
Dante's attire wasn't his usual jeans and collared shirt..it was more fit for fighting. A dark black yukata of odd proportions covered his upper body. From neck down, the yukata stretched down to his upper thighs where it was supported by a black rope around the waist so that it did not drag and sway like a dress. Down the center, around the collar, and lining the sleeves was a red stitching that gave it a bit of Dante's usual red and black taste. The oddest part about this yukata was the sleeves. On his left, the sleeve stretched long past his hand and extended the width much larger than the width of his arm. At his right, it was just the opposite. The sleeve that should have been there was gone; trimmed at the shoulder, it exposed his entire arm and the ANBU tattoo that rested on it. For pants, he had simple cloth leggings that stretched down to the mid-shin level. They were loose enough for flexibility but not too loose. On his back, as always, sat his katana. Covering his entire face was a mask that depicted a wolf. The mask had a white base paint with black and red designs for whiskers as well as other wolfish features. It seemed to graph to his face leaving no room between his skin and the extremely dense material the mask was made of.
This new setting had a good feeling to it. No more roaring crowds or sand covered colluseums! Just two contenders and the gods that smiled down upon them. Dante observed his opponent from behind the mask, his tail anxiously waving behind him. He made no movement. He merely stood and watched the man in silence from about twenty or so yards away with scattered support pillars between them. Dante's chakra fluxuated throughout his body in an even pulse and was constantly growing as it captivated the fighting spirit that took Dante as its vessel.

The ashen haired man stared across the temple to his opponent, saying only one thing, "I do hope you're prepared to suffer on the receiving end of my fearsome magical spells." It was as if he was trying to hard to be cocky and arrogant for a mage, the way he mentioned his magical means of penning berks into the deadbook just slightly old fashioned and...wrong. Despite this, he raised a hand and fired off five globes of magical energy, single shot orbs that travelled in a straight line and exploded on impact. These too had something off about them, as if he was masking their true intent. The flames about his wings were quickly growing white hot, though they did not actually give off heat. His aura seemed to be expanding by leaps and bounds every moment, a powerful pulsating thing that blinded otherworldly senses.

A wolfish grin sporting pearly white canines surfaced from behind the mask as he listened intently to the man's warning. Suffer!?!? I don't know the meaning of the word...Doooo teach meeee... If he had spoken his words would seem as though they were the words of a mad man. The fighting spirit that was captivated by the intense energies within him seemed to be taking control for the time being. Had it been adrenaline or was it something more..something like malice ?
Wearing the traditional Iwagkure shinobi style of uniform, Dante felt like all restrictions had been dropped. Although he enjoyed looking classy for the ladies, the pants were too restricting..and weights slowed him down a bit. Now he could really show off his talents in grace as well as speed. He was a shinobi, yet half the time he spent standing still looking badass. As the man raised his hand, Dante reacted with perfection. Coming up on his toes to move, he drew his katana with a brilliant screatch as the blade slid against the sheath. His right arm directed the blade in quick slashes that looked as though an angsty artist were flailing their paintbrush harshly upon the canvas. The special attribute of the blade to reflect energies made it easy for Dante to intercept the orbs. Pushing chakra through the hilt, the blade would force the chakra away sending it forward with each slash thus giving his reach about a foot or two farther from the blade's actual tip. As all five orbs would explode, Dante would take this chance. He used his speed with skill to dart behind a pillar. When the explosions had ceased, it would seem as though he had disapeared. No evidence of where he was. He remained completely silent, trying to hide his chakra flow incase this man had some way to sense energies. He would wait for the time being; just waiting for the correct time to make his move.

The orbs of magical force seem to slide past the blade, reacting slower than theu usually would otherwise, but are still deflected to do no harm to Dante. Their detonation seems almost lackluster, as if they had carried no true power and the man was simply blowing smoke. The man began to growl as he apparently had not only failed to kill his opponent, but had lost track of him as well. He called out, "You can't hide from my infinite power! I control all the demons of all the underworlds!" He threw his arms up and scavengers began crawling on all fours across the ground, small demons stepping from the shadows with large blades, and draconic figures wreathed in cool black flame falling from above. Had he summoned an army? Meanwhile, the pulse of his aura continued to grow, streams of white evaporating off of his massive wings to make a thin cloud around him.

The second Dante heard the sound of this legion of creatures scavenging about he knew that he'd have to change his position. Turning his belly to the pillar, he would begin to scale the wooden support struction with chakra as a basis to defy gravity. Chakra pulsating through his hands and feet, he would silently scale up to rafters of the building about 30 or so feet up. Now more than ever, the darkness was his friend, hiding him well in it's grasp. Hidden in his sleeve, Dante would hold a handseal with his left hand. It was a single-handed handseal so he was limited to how much chakra and how quickly he could generate it. For now, he would continue to wait. This many enemies required that he show the true shinobi art of stealth.

The demons and scavengers began advancing on the pillars that supported the roof, having seen where the ninja had gone as they had been summoned everywhere. As they began to climb the massive aura of the mage continued to grow in strength as he threw his arms around wildly. He called out, "MY MINIONS WILL CONSUME YOU!" Two dragons suddenly appeared, filling much of the lower reaches of the temple and crushing several summoned allies. Each of them seems to begin drawing in air for a massive breath weapon attack.

On the move again. This guy is rather presistant in trying to out number me..There's no way he got this far merely summoning minions..A diversion !?!? Dante was no longer conserned with stealth. He quickly darted from beam to beam to move away from the minions. Was he going to just run and hide the entire fight ? HELL NO! As Dante moved, small black orbs about the size of a quarter would drop from his long sleeve. The orb, being black, would be difficult to see and probably wouldn't have been noticed if it hadn't been for the slight tap they made as they landed on the floor. The small orbs would sit in their place until they were given a reason to move. Dante would continue his movement, deploying the small orbs evenly about.
As Dante moved past his opponent he would release about four more orbs at once. The four orbs he release had a single red band painted around them, merely a way of telling them from the rest. This band wouldn't have been seen. These orbs would imediately show their true function. As the orbs fell towards the ground they would pass through the man's energies. The small orbs were explosives made designed to detonate upon detecting energies within a one foot radius of them. The blast radius of each orb was about a yard. Four explosions would go off like grenades bursting, hoping to damage the man a bit or at least distract him while he placed the rest of his orbs about the building.
[ I mean no disrespect by this, but weren't Summons not allowed in this tourney ?]

((Summoning issue addressed via PM to both Tenma and Vintrict, for any that read this fight.))
The pure black orbs would fall to the ground amongsts all of the summoned minions, most of them not even noticing the objects in the slightest. The scavengers would notice, and would move to stare at them, even weakly paw at them. Those dropped near the mage would sadly detonate much further from him than a yard, perhaps even before the left Dante's person. The pulsing aura had been growing by leaps and bounds, and the evaporating cloud growing from the wings was merely a visual manifestation of the extreme presense near the mage. However, should they slip within range to do any harm they would find themselves knocked away by a shaft of white light, whereby they would simply explode instead of be deflected. The shaft seemed to come from nowhere, the mage's features blurring to the point of leaving behind the image of a mage in his rapid movements. The two massive dragons continued to draw in breath for their devestating assault.

Feeling the concusive force of the explosions behind him, Dante smiled knowing that the explosives had done their job. Keeping his distance in the rafters, Dante watched as some of the minions attempted to play with the orbs. Just after the explosions ceased the orbs would begin to move. Gradually increasing in speed, the orbs would begin to rotate in place before they shot off in the direction of Dante's opponent. The pure black orbs were known as the "Tracer Orbs" while the others were called "Detector Orbs". As if pulled by a great magnetic force, the tracers would fire off in the direction of where the detectors caught the energies. The tiny orbs would move with such force that they would shred through some of the most dense objects. A large amount of the minions, including the dragons, would scream out in pain as the orbs pierced their bodies, only slowing a tad bit as they continued in the direction of the man. Hopefully due to the spread of the orbs, Dante could catch the man off guard and hit him in his blind sides. The shinobi would merely hold his position in the rafters with his katana gripped tightly in his right hand.

The lower level summons simply pop in a spray of gore that evaporates before it can truly hit anything and be left behind. The two dragons are interrupted in their assault, white flame leaping into the air as they cry out in pain, though they remain. Blood pools around them with white sparks running across the surface, the elemental energies locked within crying to be released. As the orbs neared the mage he threw his hands up, "YOU CANNOT DEFEAT ME!" The dragons seemed to pour their entire being out through their chests, deflating and stretching out towards he mage. A great white barrier was erected around him, stopping the orbs dead in their tracks and crushing them into oblivion. All the while the pulsating aura continued its growth, the overwhelming sense of vitality surging outward from his form. Hidden within his shell of white light he unleashed five streams of the same white light into projectiles that would circle out from his body, hanging in the air around him.

Dante was begining to get rather annoyed at how presistant the man was at defending such attacks. The man really had not thrown but one forward attack so far. Dante's style of fighting had once been said to resemble a monkey. He uses his grace to move about and strikes when the time is right..but this guy made Dante have to totally rethink his style. Watching the man's energy continue to grow, Dante would place his katana back in the sheith on his back. He would quickly converge his hands over the center of his chest, letting the long sleeve slide down his arm to give him room for motion. Swiftly and rather vigorously, the shinobi would begin to channel large sums of chakra through out his body through the means of handseals. His heart and lungs began to pump at an excellorated rate to help produce a larger fluxuation of chakra through the Tenketsu (chakra pores) of his body. Conventional means of fighting wouldn't work on this guy, so he would have to relly on his surplus of chakra supply as well as his Ninjutsu techniques.

The mage's face seemed to blur as he threw his hands up, the sphere around him condensing into a single point of light between his palms. With a yell he called out, "KAAAAAAMEEEEHAAAAMEEEE-----HAAAAA!!!" What in the name of unholy fuck was that? The light lanced towards Dante's general direction, apparently incinerating much of the temple as five strands of light curl around the outside of the beam, following its path. In reality the temple was not being destroyed, but it was a grand illusion to make it appear those parts that were now being damaged had been destroyed. Just how much had been an illusion thus far, and what else would be an illusion in the moments to come?

Dante may have been busy creating handseals, but he never once took his attention away from his opponent. The moment he caught the sight of the light converging between his palms he knew it would be in his best interest to get the hell out of the way. Sitting in a crouched position on one of the rafters, the shinobi would make his descent as quickly as possible. He would arch his back and push off with his feet to flip backwards to the ground letting the beam pass just in front of him.
*Doton: Retsudotensho!*
Instead of landing on his feet in a full flip, Dante would extend his arms to pull them down in an axe-handle type manuever to strike the ground landing in a crouched position. His channeled chakra would surge through his fists and into the wooden floor of the temple. Only about a second later, a strong rumbling would fill the building as the ground beneath the man began to split apart. The building would seem to split into two parts creating a large trench about twenty five feet deep and around twenty feet wide. The trench that split through the temple stretched from the point where Dante's fist hit to the opposite wall. Hopefully, Dante could knock the man off balance sending him flailing to the depths of the trench were he would lose via a ring out.

As the beam passed the five strands of light circling around it broke away from the main mass. Their path diverted, turning on a dime to chase down Dante, apparently quite a bit more real that their beam-type counterpart. As the ground began to split Shar simply took one step to the side, allowing the split to carry him further to one side. If, by chance, the split was actually causing things to fal down instead of simply split apart as suggested, he'd continue taking sidesteps. Either way, the mage did not seem impressed. "KI BOMB!" yelled the mage, throwing out a spherical blast aimed to rock Dante's world.

[ Eh, sorry for the delay..was out of town..but it wasn't locked so I'ma just go ahead and post. -_- ]
Dante's eyes caught the movement of the smaller strands just slightly enough to know to get the fuck out of the way. With canine like movements, he would push off with all fours and spring backwards quickly. The moment he landed, he would pull himself to a more erect stance so that he could use his speed to sprint his way away from the man's "Ki Bomb" and also with the slight anticipation of further reactions from the strands. If they could change their movements once they could probably do it again. To remain on guard for such an offensive, he would continue to sprint, moving to his left towards the entrance on the left side of the trench. As he darted between pillars and bits of shifted floor, he would hold a single-handed handseal hidden in his long left sleeve.

((Eh, its ok. Still got until tomorrow night, I believe.))
With a titanic explosion a great deal of the temple would look as though it had simply been obliterated by the 'ki bomb.' The weather effects from outside streamed in under the same illusion, but the actual bits of the temple were still there. Dante's hunch that the streams would continue to follow him was spot on, each of them weaving through true and illusionary debris in their chase. As the pulsating aura continued to expand it also began to move forward, the mage looking unhappy as he strides through the apparently half-destroyed temple. The mage would break out into a run, his features blurring as he thrust an arm forward to toss out a cloud of knives intent of skewering Dante.

As soon as Dante moved in front of the large opening near the entrance corridor, he would stop. His left arm would raise in the air, letting the sleeve slide down to his elbow. His hand was open and forced forward as though he were trying to throw something heavy. What he was carrying was heavy alright..but it wasn't visible..not just yet. Suddenly, a flood of a dark flowing material swarmed into the building from the darkness of the entrance corridor. The material was mud. Using chakra Dante forced a mudslide right through the doors. Instead of hitting him with great force and pushing him about the building, the mud seemed to curve around his body taking the blows from the beams as well as catching the knives in its flow.
Instead of stopping right there as a defense, the river of mud would continue blast forward darting towards the mage. As it flowed, the force could be felt as the river pushed against the pillars causing a bit of rumbling in the building. If things went well, Dante's flood would catch the mage and push him straight down into the trench. The speed and heavy weight of the mud made it highly impossible to withstand with normal means.

The mage continued to rush forward, a shaft of light dancing through the air before him as he slides into the onset of the mudslide. The flow of mud passing him by to leave him untouched as it was forced away by his aura alone. With an illusionary knife protruding from his skull he charged on, the five streams converging as he unleashes a powerful blast of magical force in the form of a shockwave. Mud turns to solid rock as its blasted away, the energy in the blast searing away all the water within. His aura continues its expansion as his features continue to blur, white wisps dancing through the air in large quantities.

Dante's onslaught would not stop there. As soon as the river of mud would move pass the man, Dante would move his hand in a circular motion and then clench a fist. The river of mud would seem to leap up and sweep around the man like a snake constricting its pray, gradually moving up in size. This would surely stop his movement thanks to the pressure and chakra fortifying it. Turning it to stone would only make things worse for the mage. With the mud around the man turned to stone, Dante decided to act quick. The trick was old fashion, but it was known to get the job done. Dante's hands quickly converged over his chest in a smashing fashion. Changing the form of earth had very little effect on Dante's manipulation of the object. Dante's chakra would cause spikes to jut out from the inside of the stone around the mage. It was like Dante's very own iron maiden. The spikes started at about a foot around and got smaller as they stretched to make a fine needle point. Each spike would move from a different level of the enclosure Dante made with the constricting motion. With the enclosure hopefully raising over his head by the time it was turned to stone, it would be relatively hard to get out of it quick enough to escape the quick thrusts of the spike. Dante intended to skew the man as many times as possible, hopefully ending the match.

Dante would find very little progress on his ministrations on the mud and rock around the mage, the blurred man still charging forward. Mud and rock was being blasted away from him by the shockwave rapidly closing the distance between the two men, ensuring there was no true enclosure. Each of the five streams of light would aim to strike Dante, convering from all four sides and from above, slicing through rock or mud if necessary. Should the rock stop its flight away from the tremendous (very real) blast of force to actually attempt to crush the charging mage it would find a physical barrier halting its advance, retreating slowly as the mage charged onward. It seemed as though the mere strength and what one might call a spiritual pressure of his aura was creating a barrier, within which chakra manipulation becomes increasingly difficult if anything could get inside.

Dante had suddenly realised what it would take to get to this mage. The man would not battle him with iron and steel, he would not battle him hand to hand, he wouldn't even fight him with the elements. This was the championships, so there was no holding back. The term "fight fire with fire" seemed to perk Dante's interest in this fight.
Slowly, Dante would raise his right hand to grasp the right side of his face. Quick red sparks of chakra seeped from the cracks between his hand and face jumping into the air, then quickly disapating. As the streams of light descended upon him, he did not move nore did he look at them. He merely stood, hunched over a bit, grasping his face as though it were in extreme pain. When the streams got within about a foot of Dante's body they seemed to halt abruptly as though something had intercepted them. There would be more red sparks where the streams hit just as there had been on Dante's hand and face. The streams seemed to fade away as Dante stood fully erect, pulling his arms down to his sides. If anyone had been able to see the color of Dante's eyes, they would be amazed to see his right eye had changed. The pupil had turned bright red while the iris became black as night. The demon seal had been released; Dante's chakra supply had doubled and this would now be clear. A conflagration-like aura surrounded Dante's body, the chakra acting as flames to lick at the air around him. Dante watched the man charge with a grin on his face. Using his left hand, he would once again draw his katana..Things were gonna get ugly. Gooood...Coome to meeee...

Dante had it all wrong. Shar wanted to fight this out tooth and nail, rough and dirty as close as possible. He wanted to hear the splatter of the man's blood and feel the crack of bones under the strain of his attacks. Each of the five streams did not, in fact, fade away, but pulled back instead as if to guard Shar's final approach. The pulse of his aura was overwhelming, the scent of desert sands drifting through the air as his facade began to degrade. Images of the mage began to peel away to reveal a man his polar opposite, with sleek spikes of blue hair and fierce red eyes that burned like the noonday sun.
The shifting sands took to the winds, slowly deconstructing one image for another, that of a man fit for a desert. With the five strands crossed before him and a staff held for support he came to a halt no more than a five feet from Dante. All around Dante there seemed to be the sheer presence of this man, choking the air and bearing down on him like the weight of a world. Chakra would begin to retreat back through the pores as the massive strength of his very soul manifest cut off access and enveloped Dante. The massive spiritual pressure was so intense that he didn't even seem to set foot on the ground, the floor cracking away at a mere touch. As a large spiked ball took shape on one end of his staff he looked to Dante with his fierce eyes. He spoke without malice, "I would have thought you to be smarter than this. I have established control, doing nothing but dominate this place, all the while allowing you to play around with the toys of my brother's mind." He would not be interrupted, continuing to speak even if Dante attempted to break in with a comment or assault. He'd have no way of breaching the barrier, no means of escape, no way to land a blow. Shar would be surprised if the immense pressure didn't crush the life from Dante outright.

Dante was really fucking getting tired of battling the gods of the universe. Nobody wanted to just fight simple; If he wanted to powerplay..Dante would powerplay. Dante's aura would NOT receed. It would remain fluently reaching out with tendrils that licked at the air around him as a manifestation of the chakra that flowed through his vains. Dante would merely wait with his katana gripped tightly in his right hand.

Standing within striking range of Dante the lean man would shake his head, "It is a pity you cannot wholy understand your doom." The motion that followed was simple, his staff lifting frim the ground and extending forcefully to ram the end into Dante's gut, following him if he moves back with even more force the further he goes. Should the strike miss the staff would continue in a fluid motion into a quick revolutionin in the direction opposed to Dante's dodge. Regardless, Dante would find it difficult to move at any great speed or utilize any chakra effectively with the oppresive force of Shar's aura exerting pressure throughout the area. He was effectively turning the fight into a melee brawl, stripping away superhuman characteristics and supernatural manipulations, exactly what Dante was looking for, despite fighting against it. How odd.

Dante was all for a melee match; this was definitely not it. But, pickers cannot be choosers, so Dante had to take matters into his own hands. Having no intentions of ever trying to dodge a stabbing manuever by backing up, Dante would side step the staff letting it pass his left side. Stepping inside the man's stance, Dante would make the distance between the two almost less than an arms length. It may have been risky, but it would seriously lower the amount of reaction time allowed by his opponent. With his right foot forward, Dante would lower the handle of his blade to let the tip raise. His strike was swift as well as strong. Two hands wrapped tightly around the handle he would thrust the blade aimed to gut the man and run him through. The blade's enchantments let it cut through the man's aura as if it were a hot knife through butter. If he made contact, the blade would pass into the man's body just below the sternum at an upward angle so that the blade would exit somewhere in the man's upper back. The speed and sudden movement of the attack after the dodge should have made his strike connect before the staff could revolve to get him.

Each of the five strands hanging around Shar converged at the tip of the blade as it thrust forward, the first among them detonating in a brilliant display. The sheer force of the blast, being of force and not of any magical quality, would slow or deflect the blade enough such that Shar could react adequately. Moving to his right the staff would subtly shift in flight to strike the side of the blade with enough force to damage even the strongest of metals. This would also reveal another quality, in that if it were built of some stronger element a burst of light would accompany any contact with the blade. This extra expenditure would produce a burst of kinetic force, nonmagical in nature, strong enough to damage even the "indestructable" metal adamantium, though it would be much more likely that the blade would simply be torn from Dante's hands and thrown some great distance.

Dante grunted as he drew his blade back. What a pain in the ass; Like fighting god himself. As the staff would attempt to hit his blade, it would be engulfed in what seemed like flames. He would expel chakra through the blade to meet the staff as an opposing force. Because Dante was not a god and could not create instant forces of alarming strength like his opponent, the chakra would merely act as a nulling agent. The staff would never touch the blade as the chakra consumed it to meet with the kinetic force. Stepping back a bit, Dante would draw the katana before him in a readied stance. The burning confligration aura that captivated the true magnitude of the chakra flowing through his vains remained around the blade. He would stand in wait. This guy has to have some weakness.. Dante thought as his tail swayed back and forth behind him. A bead of sweet rolled down his neck. Bringing his right foot forward, he would step hard as if a trigger to ignite the production of even more chakra in his body. His aura would grow larger; more tendrils of chakra would stretch from his body like snakes from Medusa's head.

With a wide sweep he flicked the staff out to his right side, both hands firmly gripping one end as if it were the hilt of a massive blade. Beyond the tip of the staff there did indeed seem to be the faint image of a truly massive blade, much too large to even be contained by the building. A surge of golden light pulsed around each of his hands as he shifted his grip on the staff, a spiked ball errupting from the end of the staff. Allowing it to trail behind him slightly he stepped forward, drawing it forward wsith immense strength, aimed to slam the 3ft diameter spiked ball through Dante's torso.

Dante had no intentions of letting such a nasty looking blunt weapon hit him with full force. Putting his weight to his right side of his body, he narrowly side-stepped the spiked ball letting it graze past his left side as he moved forward. Dante's arms would immediately raise high as he twisted his wrist to turn the blade to point downward. Using the aura around the blade, Dante would push against the staff in a parry-like manuever in order to try to keep the man from swinging it sideways as he moved within its full range. As the aura pushed against whatever the staff was made of Dante would continue moving forward. Upon reaching the lower section of the staff, Dante would push the blade from this parrying motion to quickly spring upwards to move beneath the man's right arm. With a flick of his wrist, he would aim to sever the entire are at the shoulder. His tail curled upwards as he grinned at the man, enjoying the change of pace the fight had gone through.

The blade surged up to slice Shar's arm from his body, but stopped just short of the man's flesh. Between a tangible field of force around his body and the remaining strands hanging in the air it had been stopped dead in its tracks. The spiked ball dropped off the staff behind Dante as the warrior closed his arm down around the blade, giving Dante only one direction to go if he wished to keep the blade. The passage of time between the blade stopping and the brilliant explosion from the dropped ball would barely give it time to reach the floor, dozens of solid spikes launching from the ball as the explosion carried them in all directions, though those not aimed at Dante seemed to turn andseek him out anyway.

[ Kenrou Jyuuken explanations are in my journal. PM if a better one is needed. ]
Dante glared furiously as he watched his beloved katana easily blocked and caught. The Kenrou Jyuuken, Dante's very own chakra manipulation/Taijutsu technique, had been held back for the most part during this entire tournament. Now, with the demon seal released the Kenrou Jyuuken could show the pinnacle of chakra and bodily energy control. Dante's intentions immediately change to become more drastic instead of trying to drag this fight out to see who could endure longer.
The wolfish man's ears easily caught the motion of the spiked ball and the explosion of spikes that insued. Listening closely to the initial separation and movement of the spikes, Dante was able to paint a close enough picture in his mid as to where the general attacks would land. Though, there were so many of them he decided it would be best to just defend accordingly. Dante would concentrate most of his chakra to his back side. The raging confligration-like aura that engulfed his body had seemed to dim down. Was he loosing power ? From the looks of it, ever single spike had made contact with Dante's body, but in reality, coating his back side with a seemingly solid layer of chakra about two inches thick he would catch every single spike. The layer of chakra acting like a skin tight layer of extremely dense armor, the spikes would lodge into the chakra layer seeming as though they had lodged into his back. Had Azure won the battle ?
As though the fight were over, Dante's movements ceased. He slipped forward a bit, releaving his grasp of the katana as the force of the spikes pushed him forward. Just when it seemed he were going to drop to his knees, he would swiftly reach his arms out to grasp the man's shoulders. The confligration-like aura suddenly burst forth from the Tenketsu of his body buring as feirce as ever. As he grasped the man's shoulders, he would once again utilize the Kenrou Jyuuken. The 3rd phase would active as chakra surged through his side forming the shape of two more arms. These arms would stretch around the man to hold his arms at his sides so that he could not move. Though, this wasn't his attack. This was merely the precautions he took to ensure that his attack wouldn't fail. Dante's entire mid section would seem to explode with a series of redish-white flashes that seemed to last less than a second each. This was merely what could be seen with the human eye. Dante's chakra surged through his body in the Kenrou Jyuuken phase 2-3 to flow so swiftly and solidfy as what seemed to be a series simultaneous explosions of force to rip through the man's body. The close proximity easily made reaction out of the question. The swift explosions of force would be similar to taking several 120mm tank shells at point blank all at once. Because the force was so extreme the reaction force would do some severe damage to Dante. Dante grinned with blood seeping through his teeth; a clear sign of internal bleeding. The force would do some major damage to Dante's rib cage, but hopefully it would end the fight with the man who he held onto ever so tightly ripped to shreads. He gave his all; hopefully it would pay off because if it didn't..He'd be in deep shit.

The man's face held no surprise at Dante's grip upon his shoulders, nor at the extra arms emerging to hold him in place. The sound of metal shearing and a rush of wind blasted towards Dante, glowing plates of golden light left in his grip as Shar slipped backwards. The concussive force of the blast emanating from Dante threw the gleaming man back and away, the blunt force clearly causing some form of pain to the main. Between his grip on the katana and the strands of light the weapon released by Dante is thrown off and away somewhere, a single strand breaking off to carry it away at incredible speed. Shar groans as he slides to a stop, still on his feet with clothes torn and cracks running along the golden armor over his chest. Pain flares in his eyes as he holds in a single breath, as though releasing it would allow his body to fly apart. He slowly lets out his breath, the emerald tint in his sclera overpowered by a brilliant golden glow, "Sonuvabitch." Blood runs freely down each arm, golden spars flying from the wounds.

Malice was the only word that could be used to describe the expression that sat on Dante's face. A wolfish grin sat taut on his face, his canine's spattered with fresh blood. His tongue slowly rolled upon his lip to lick up a bit of blood that seemed to escape the grasp of his mouth. This was clearly not the usual monotone Dante. The demon seal was begining to take over. Although that meant he would seem more powerful, the immense strain on his body would be evident as well through his slouched posture and heavy breathing. Dante had always seemed more human than he was demon, but now he seemed to be reverting back to his beastly roots. Slouched down, low to the ground with bloody fangs..Oh he was quite a beast! The arms of chakra seemed to receed only to be replaced by the firey ride aura that engulfed the man. The tendrils of chakra that stretched from his body began to move more erratically; violently whipping through the air and occasionally snagging against the many pillars of the temple. As the tendrils would collide with the solid matter of the pillars the chakra would seem to cause the material to corrode as if the tendrils were made of an acidic material. In reality, the chakra was merely feeding on the solid matter, tearing it down down till it was nothing. Dante would merely stand in his slouched position, his hair dangling deep in his face, catching his breath a bit before the onslaught would continue.

The golden sparks leaping from Shar's wounds slowly coalesce back into the golden armor that had been so rudely ripped from his body. The air around his feet, waist, and brow begins to shimmer, his entire body releasing a blue steam. With a single glance to his staff he held it with both hands in front of him, slowly lowering it as if it weighed a ton to a horizontal position. The blue steam danced out along the length of the staff into the cloud of white wisps, arcs of golden light running up the length of the staff into the cloud, spreading its golden color throughout. With a terrific groan of effort he hauled the staff forward.
The temple exploded in a shower of wood as a 45ft long blade burst forth in a massive swing at Dante.

Dante was quite amazed at how well the man weilded such a large blade. A blade of that length would take quite a lot of strength and to destroy the walls and pillars and still get to Dante. As the blade neared Dante, he would drop to all fours, reverting to his canine heritage in a way. Knowing that the blade's size and weight would make it difficult to change movements, he would take this time as the time to counter-attack. With Dante's palms flat on the floor, his chakra could easily flow through the Tenketsu and into the earth. It would be only a matter of moments when the reasoning was revealed. Thanks to Dante's previous attack, the mage was much closer to the large trench made by Dante earlier in the fight. From the walls of the trench long libs were shaped from the earth, fortified by Dante's chakra. At first there were but only two arms, but gradually more would raise from the trench's edge. The earth made arms would grasp the man's calves, gradually more hands reaching for his legs to attempt to pull him into the trench.

The strands of light would attempt to hold off the earthen hands, but it would not be the strands that gave the most resistance. The golden armor around the majority of Shar's body began to burn with the intensity of the sun, tendrils of light sliding out from his skin to impossible lengths. A thin membrane of light connected each of the tendrils in the shape of a pair of huge wings. Held steady by these new wings the blade sweeps past Dante, the massive blade possibly even crushing him under it. The real threat comes as the blade passes, a massive wake of destruction spreading out behind it in a furious maelstrom of destructive force and all of the debris that had been generated by the sweep of the blade. A slight shift and the blade would dig a huge gouge into the ground, a shock wave extending before it with a resultant wave of earthen material as it slowed to a stop, likely to allow the wake of destruction to pass and demolish the remainder of the temple. All around the illusory damage done to the temple was fading away, revealing true destruction at the passage of Obelisk.

It was quite amazing that the man was able to weild such a massive blade with such force. The long octipus-like tendrils of chakra that extended from his body began to thrash about around him. The tendrils made purely of chakra, fortified through his Kenrou Jyuuken technique, would swing violently through the air to bat away the debris from the destruction of the blade. In order to save himself from the sheer force of the wave, the dried earth brought in previously in the battle would be manipulated to mold around his feet as though he were melding with the floor itself. Meanwhile, Dante would continue the earth onslaught from behind the man. Using the earth shaped limbs as a medium, Dante's chakra would begin to shape around the hands. The chakra would flow freely in the non-matter form like an aura around the earth-made hands. What was Dante up to ?
