1Clash Maharaji

arrow Dorms Beneath the colosseum lies housing for fighting participants. The sub-levels are accessable through doors stationed at certain points about the cobblestone track, guarded by selected colosseum staff, which open up to spiraling flights of stairs that lead downward to different rooming sectors. All registered participants will be provided with a place to stay. Feel free to make and spiff up your own room if that tickles your fancy.

2king_of_the_wind

I woke up in this room that was under the colleseum. I was sort of in a daze and looked at a table that had a bunch of burnt looking scrap metal. I Got up and looked at the white walls for about an hour and then went out into the hallway looking for people..

3Clash Maharaji

He lay down in his room, head thumping, right eye swollen shut and the left on the way. He was probably going to take those bandages off of his head by tomorrow, but that didn't compensate for the swelling, and it'd probably be a while longer until the stitches fell out.

Finally, he got up with a groan. "Need to find something to eat...get rid of this emptiness, or I'm gonna puke."

4Cael Zero

Curse descended the spiraling staircase to the dormitory level of the coliseum without breaking a sweat. He walked down a long stretch of hallway until he could find the room designated from him provided by the tournament organization. He opened the door with the key he obtained from a counter near the receptionist desk and stepped inside. He took a few moments to look around at the small place provided for him. He didn't need much, anwyay. He only needed a bed, really, and perhaps a light. Satisfied with that much and hardly interested in whatever other freebies the room provided, Curse nodded, stepping outside, closing the door, and locking it. He slid the metallic key in the inner pocket of his black leather jacket for safekeeping. Idly, he scanned the surroundings with his piercing crimson eyes to see if anyone, particularly other participants, could be found lingering in the halls of his section.

5XShilonX

As Gabriel walked into Shilon's dorm and laid him down, He wondered if Shilon would be in a good enough condition to fight in the tournament when it began.. No matter. He walked out, leaving Shilon to dream, and flew back throgh the halls of the colliseum to the restaurant.

6Mingan Nightwalker

After he left the Arena, Wyvern made his way to the dorms, seeking out a room.

After climbing a stair, he opened the door to find a 1500 feet square suite with a king-size canopy-draped bed, a full-sized sofa sleeper, a separate bedroom with door, a 200 sq. ft. bath with double-head showers with a separate jetted tub, double sinks, a powder room by the main entrance, a nice sitting area, dining table and bar with stools, a living room, walk-in closets and makeup room, four hi-def plasma televisions, a fully stocked refreshment center, overhead reading lights, an in-suite safe, a personal fax/printer/copier, and three dual-line phones.

Oh fuck yes. This would work well.

7Sparn Gerudo

Sparn ignored the basic rules of reality by walking into the room provided for him even though he was somewhere else at the same time.

Screw reality.

He looked around the room, it was completely empty and about 40 by 45 feet in size, with the ceiling ten feet above the floor.

He nodded in approval as he closed the door behind him and his skin started bubbling.

8Sparn Gerudo

Sparn's skin mixed in with the shadow energy in his clothes, as his entire body fused with it. He was solid black, save for his eyes which were solid white.

The darkness started out by forming at his feet, then slowly started to spread. It seemed to have taken a slime-like form, solid enough to retain some shape yet malleable enough to be easily altered.

9Mingan Nightwalker

Instead of wank powers, he would simply wank, locking the door.

10Sparn Gerudo

The entire room was covered in the slime before long, and Sparn started to walk around, tapping spots on the walls as he walked.

11Vaakine

Vallis, Vaak, and Ohgami, relaxed as they finished moving their stuff into their Dorm. Oh, and Kai's stuff. Ohgami shrugged and left. "Im gonna go work out." Vallis layed on the bed and closed his eyes, dozing off. "Im gonna take a nap. A Nice, long Nap.". Vaak grined and walkd out, heading to the Bar.

12Sparn Gerudo

The ooze altered as he tapped it, reforming and solidifying as Sparn walked back to the doorway.

The altered shadows had turned into furniture, and Sparn looked around at his fully furnished room. It had no light sources, but Sparn didn't really want any.

13Sparn Gerudo

The silver haired figure walked down the halls, glancing at each door he passed.

14Kuro_Tsuwamono

A tired Kuro walked down the rooming sectors, looking for a place to stay. He spotted a random door, and opened it, peering around it...

"Hm...this will do."

The room was average: a twin sized bed, with a bedside table and phone. To the right is a door, with a sign that says "bathroom".

Kuro entered the room, and began to settle in,..

15Sparn Gerudo

The aforementioned figure stared at the shadows that had been seeping out under the door to Sparn's room. He sighed and opened the door and stepped inside, closing the door behind him.

16Justus The Deep

Blank lay in his bed, his back against the wall with a bottle of Bud light beer in his hand. The music of Trivium playing through his Discman's headphones.

How boring... He thought, taking a long drink before pushing his thin sunglasses further up the bridge of his nose.

17Sparn Gerudo

Sparn had left the room at some point, because he was absent when the silver-haired figure stepped in. He shrugged and sat down on a shadow couch to wait.

18Airiza Cael

A young woman with crimson coloured hair and stunningly bright green eyes simply sat there on her bed, staring at the wall ahead of her. Her crimson coloured hair flowed down her back and branched out on the bed, being as long as her wavy hair was, it seemed to go everywhere. Her face was expressionless, though her eyes beheld a trace of sadness buried deep within her stunning beauty.

Memories flickered and shimmered on within her endlessly, haunting the young elven girl. Upon her shoulders was wrapped a dark brown cloak, a large hood attached to the back, but usually it would not be found being worn by her. The brown cloak extended to her feet and it was wrapped around well enough that the clothing she wore under the cloak could not be seen.

Her emerald eyes slowly filled with a watery substance...Tears.

I am pathetic..Tears will not fix the haunting past I have endured

With that thought, she gently reached up with her hand, her elegant, frail looking hand and brushed the tear away, not allowing another one to fall. Her bangs hung in her eyes, shadowing the saddening look she couldn't easily keep away. She sighed, and pushed the memories of her past away, allowing a blank stare to form where there was once sadness in her eyes.

19Typhoon Omi

Down the corridors of the dorms, one could hear someone dragging an object along the ground, panting and occasionally complaining. Finally, he came into focus - Omi, dragging an extremely large.. and dead imp of sorts behind him, holding on by the wings. He stopped at one dorm room - and practically collapsed against it back-first, catching his breath with a comically annoyed expression upon him.

"Goooddd.. I should've realized I was a few miles away from the grounds when I first caught the damned thing, much less how long it'd take to drag it here. Why couldn't it have been something small, dammit!" Placing a hand to his forehead, he wiped some sweat from him - then sighed. "The bastard weighing who-knows how many pounds doesn't help, nor does what I'm wearing.. bah - complaining won't get me anywhere, I made it."

Standing up again, already looking 'recovered' - Omi placed his right palm against the door in front of him, and pushed it open. It had been left unlocked, as specified. And, with that, Omi heaved the beast into the dark, unlit room - and placed it to the side, against a wall. Also as instructed. Although, the beast took up quite a hefty portion of the dorm room's space..

Still, Omi made his way out - and shut the door, before securing it. "There. Kuro should be satisfied, I'd hope."

20Kuro_Tsuwamono

Demonic energy surrounds the demon, and transfers him away into the plane of shadows...

Fas was in the elevator with Genis, watching as the numbers brought them to the top floor. They grined at each other when it dinged, bringing them to the Penthouse Suite.

"WOW FAS!" Genis exclaimed, looking around at the huge room. Two Grand King sized beds, big enough to fit several hunnies in. A giant window with remote controlled blinds, a 55" Plasma TV screen, a massive stereo system perfect for bumpin' yo music.

The window affored an eccelent veiw of the colloseum and even had tiny sonic devices that picked up every sound from the fights.

Fas grinned. "Ahh...The perks of Cruxis." He said, walking around his massive Suite before collapsing onto his massive bed with his signature Black and Red sheets.

((Screw logic, I'm in two places at once.))

22Typhoon Omi

First, the door knob was twisted - then, once the paneling of the door was open just a crack, one's right fist gave a light back-jab against it, opening it for himself. For, Omi was entering his dorm for the first time; the other nights, having slept outside or entertaining the thought of sleeping, but then going right back to his training 'regiment'.

It was a plain dorm. One window covered in respective curtains and sealed, one small cooler with some basic foods & drink, a television set of around 30", a restroom connected to it, a closet, and one average, white bed. Most certainly all he needed. The mercenary took a few steps through the doorway, pushing the doorknob shut with his left hand before letting his fingers trail off it. Both his eyelids were nearly shut; he looked exhausted, tired out, and weary. Yet, he merely slipped two fingers beneath the dark leather straps holding the broken blade of his off his right shoulder, before throwing the sword sheath onto a nearby, square table.

Then, he turned a light on next to the bed - adorned on the wall to the very right of it - and fell backwards onto the white sheets of the bed. Rather, collapsed into them, as a hearty yawn escaped his lips. After a few moments, he brought his feet up onto the bed as well, before kicking the boots upon each off them with the opposite foot. The two dark, leather boots collapsed onto the floor with loud thuds - and the mercenary sighed in content.

Next, a tad lazily, he brought his hands up - and began undoing his gauntlets, until both of them were next to the bed as well. Then, Omi pressed the back of his head against the white pillow, the cool feel of the cloth feeling much more than just comfortable. Yet, before succumbing to a long night of rest, he rose his right arm in front of his eyes. Both of them peering over it's exterior slowly.

Instantly, the dimly lit room began significantly more lit-up, by a fierce red glow. For, odd serpentine-shaped rays of light began to extent from around his elbow, spiralling around his arm to his fingertips; numerous more beginning to form. Yet, he merely formed a tight fist, the sound of his knuckles cracking being heard - and, they disappeared in an instant.

A sigh escaped his lips. Both of his arms laid on either side, palms upward. And, before long, he slipped into unconciousness.. a single drop of blood oozing off his upper right arm, onto the white sheets.

23Roy Odisiouix

Roy Odisiouix made his way up to his room, the small little 500 feet by 500 feet was perfect. he hung his cloak on a hook above his bed and layed down in the bed before he smiled and then Ripped an Azorian device similair to a laptop. He layed down an suddenly the room lifted up and expanded into a mini dojo. He smiled impressed with this as he then clicked some buttons on his Azorain comp and several hologram peope started to rise and fight as he stuided them. they were hologram recordings of fights he has had and seen. He began to study them as he then ran a scan on himself to improve any weakened areas of his body and whatnot.

"Now this is pretty kick ass." Roy says to aloud to himself.

Fas was in the elevator, heading up to his room again...

He was covered in bandages, one wrapped around his head and his eye, both arms heavily bandaged and one in a sling. under his clothes he had bandages around his entire torso, and a few on his legs, which, thankfully, were the one part of his body that wasn't heavily damaged. Most of the bandages were covered in Fas' indigo-silver blood.

He let out a sigh just before the elevator dinged and the door opened, making his way down the hallway to his new room...The establishment had been rather pissed since they had bet good money on Fas and Fas lost, so they knocked down the quality of his room.

"...Just someone else I've failed..." Fas said to no one in particular as he walked down the hall.

Did you even listen to anything that Kuro said? You completely ruined a storyline element for Cziri, and you could've still won your match.

26Airiza Cael

Raine walked through the long hallways of rooms, or more staggered. Her hair was wet, strands of it and her bangs hanging in her face and eyes. Her entire appearance was unkempt, holes in her clothing, deep cuts and burns running up and down her arms and neck. A rather large gash was across her forehead. Blood ran like water down her face, dripping off her chin onto the floor beneath her. Her right hand was completely red from the crimson substance that leaked from her body in various places. In her bloodied and torn right hand, she held the hilt of her Odachi. As she staggered through the hallway towards her room, the tip of the Odachi would be drug against the floor, creating a fine little slice from when she entered all the way to when she got to her room. She wondered if the management would care.. She'd kill them if they gave her any crap about cuttin' up their floor.

Her eyes were downcast, no emotion creeping into them at all. It was as though she didn't feel pain. She sighed loudly when she reached her room, turning the knob and opening the door with her left hand. She walked over to the bed that had been provided for her and simply threw her sword down beside the bed, letting it fall where it may.

She staggered over to the bed and sat down on it. Immediately, she began patching up her wounds with a small medical kit she had stored beneath her bed. She really was too stubborn to go the infirmary..Plus she'd probably kill anybody if they touched her. She began bandaging, applying ointment, disinfectant, all that stuff to her various wounds. Immediately after she was done patching herself up, she lay back in her bed and tried to get some long-needed rest.

Fas turned, hearing someone else walking down the hallway behind him, just fast enough to catch a glimpse of Raine. He blinked one eye, and most likely would have blinked the other if it hadn't been bandaged. He raised his hand to wave to her, but she had already gone into her room. He stood still for a moment, then hung his head and let out a sigh before continueing onto his room, and he opened the door, looking at it.

"...Dammit....I'm never going to be able to sleep here."

The room was incredably small, filled with it's past occupent's trash. He could distinctly see roaches scatter when he opened the door.

"...Saddam had it better in his fucking spider hole...." Fas said, sighing as he walked over to the bed and sat on it, trying to keep his eyes from tearing up.

28Trei_Shouri

With a groan, Trei enters his small, spartan dorm room. The poor guy's mind is reeling, battered by the events of the day... That bastard's call for a re-match, the loss of Honour and Glory, and that little explodey trick that had been the blades' last stand. What the hell had happened?

Not really in the mood to stay up too much longer, the young man collapses face-first into his bed, unhooking each sheathe from its respective waist and dropping the ruined weapons to the floor bedside. As always, Honour on the left, Glory on the right... and yet, with both swords reduced to about a foot's worth of blade, it seems like an empty gesture.

Massively bummed, the young man pulls a pillow over his head and forces himself to drift off to sleep...

29Trei_Shouri

It isn't too long before Trei manages to fall asleep, wanting nothing more than to be surrounded in that merciful, dreamless void. The guilt, the fatigue, the confusion... he just wants them all to melt away while he seeks sanctuary in temporary oblivion. And, at first, they do...

Unfortunately, the peace of the Void is about to be shattered; the demons that have so long lain dormant in the young man's mind are stirring, their confidence bolstered by the arrival of new fears and dark memories. Tonight, there will be no peace; there will be no mercy.

Tonight, the demons will run rampant through his blood...

30Trei_Shouri

Images that no one should ever be forced to see run like a nightmare carousel through Trei's sleeping mind, causing the poor guy to thrash around like a fish out of water atop his small bed... Images of dead bodies and demons, of Oblivionic's exploding chest and, worse, his own body breaking apart around him. Images of a young boy amidst a hellhole of carnage, his world shattered beyond repair. In the form of nightmares, Trei's memories are stirring... and with them, something else. A strange, primal presence that stirs within the very core of his soul, an embodiment of instinct and rage that threatens to consume him...

Outside his mind, something else is happening; blood is leaking from his mouth, eyes, and nose, creating dark pools on his pillow. His fingernails, too, are releasing thin, steady streams of the black liquid, creating dark pools around his shattered blades...

31Trei_Shouri

Suddenly, Trei starts tossing and turning, thrashing violently against his blankets while sending sprays of blood across the room. A retching cough sends a huge bubble of the stuff to the ground bedside...

In his dreams, his body is rent asunder again and again, each time creating a pool of blood that stirs with a life of its own... in time, the blood doesn't even pool... it just creates a vaguely human form. Chills and anger rack the young man's body as the being begins to turn around...

32Trei_Shouri

Morning finds the room stained in black blotches, with a very confused and distraught Trei staring up at the ceiling. Towards 2 AM, he'd awoken to find himself surrounded by small pools of blood on his pillow. He'd sat up... and seen the pools of blood bedside.

Now he's too confused to do anything but lie still...with nightmares still flickering in the back of his mind, and bloodstains staring at him like some demon's shadowed eyes, he remains motionless. Only one clear thought runs through his mind, a morose song left on loop; What the hell is going on?

33Typhoon Omi

Swinging his right leg idly off the edge of the cotton bed within his dorm, the mercenary Omi was holding a sheathed weapon in his hands with a small hint of awe. Delivered just that morn, the swordsmith 'Kuro' finally delivered on his promise to craft a blade to offer as a reward for the earlier events that plagued the tournament grounds.

Yet, so far, Omi hadn't so much as unsheathed said weapon. His pupils wearily peered to and fro across the sheath's adorned, laquer design; black, thin, but with a single golden dragon carved into one side's center. The sword guard, oval shaped though coming to a point on the left & right sides, came right up to the bottom of the sheath; the handle jutting out. The handle.. a good 8.35", was rather long for a single-handed blade. Yet, with the elegant straps of cotton & lace which wound about it in a mixture of horizontal & diagonal streaks, it looked like a work of art more than a weapon.. at least, what was visible.

"Caladbolg.." His weary mind reafirmed the name which had been given to this blade, "..you're finally finished. Unfortunately, I hope to not need you." Smirking, his eyes peered up slowly - towards the enblocked window before him. Round II of his branch had begun; his match would be announced at anytime now.. his fists, legs, and wrists still stung from all the practicing the mercenary'd undergone in anticipation. Fresh sweat, though drying, still lingered across his neck & forehead. Still, he seemed to be at an odd calm; eyes lulling to where it appeared as though, he were dreaming away about something. Perhaps, thinking over how his match results would proceed?

Rotating his right shoulder-blade to get rid of the stiffness that'd built up in that region of his body, he sat the sword down next to his bedside; the door was shut & locked, and the two lamps, turned off. It was unlikely for him to just fall asleep right away. Impatience, anticipation.. a rush of emotions would keep his mind too alert for slumber to take him with such ease. As he laid back with both arms lazily crossing behind his neck, dark, wild hair matting against his forearms - Omi looked up at the emptyness of the ceiling above him. One thing was for sure: his next match in this tourney couldn't come quick enough.

34Akako Akari

Sitting still on the edge of a bed Akako stared at the floor. 'This has to be some kind of sick joke...' She thought throughly annoyed. Her crimson eyes left the ground and looked to the door of her dorm. Still and no one there. Then furrowing her brow she stood to her full height, which was a mere 5'2".

The black cloth was tied around her mouth and she wore her usual outfit. The woman popped her knuckled then leaned forward. Her toes held her up-right for a moment until she fell forward her body still erect. Her hands and chest met the ground and she pushed her body up and let it drop again.

The muscles she did have were lean, but they worked charms for her in battle. Her fit abs that made her able to do back flips at ease and her strong legs making her able to doge things more quickly. Akako wasn't a skilled fighter, but she had fun doing it.

Once finished with push-ups she rolled onto her back. Her delicate hands folded beneath her head and she started to do sit-ups. Her long black hair las in a gorgeous mass beneath her and waved each time she came back down.

35Akako Akari

Akako lay on her back and stared at the ceiling now. Her fingers came up and touched her shoulder. The scar was still there but the wound was healed. Flashes of the memory came back to her and she sighed.

Why did that blundering idiot attack me anyways?

Akako sighed and rolled onto her side. The cold floor felt good against her hot skin. Black hair fell into her face and her crimson eyes stared at the wall.

I haven't seen many people lately...I wonder...

Her arms pushed beneath her and she hoisted her body off the ground. She moved gracefully over to the door and opened it. She looked back and forth in the hallway then started to wakl down the hall leaving her door open.

36Typhoon Omi

"517... 518... 519.." Just a notch off of the next digit, in his own dorm room, the mercenary Omi crumbled to the floor, right-shoulder first. Moments before, he had been doing one-arm push ups; this specific time, on his right arm. Left arm crossed over his back & with a formed fist to discourage it from moving from that very spot. Yet, obviously, exhaustion from his constant regiment was finally starting to catch up to the Barton Round III participant; his mouth giving out rough exhales, sweat glistening upon his face, and his chest heaving in a thunderous manner. Near every moment since his Round II victory, aside from sleeping, was spent furthering himself. Keeping in proper shape, focusing himself, maintaining a proper level of stamina.. most of all, however, furthering himself more and more, since he ever persistently viewed his current state as unacceptable.

Dimly lit as usual, the simplistic dorm room gave sight to the mercenary's still-panting body; weary, his expression held a sense of relative exhaustion. Yet, he seemed to be mildly.. furious about something, as his right hand shifted across the carpet, fingers gliding over fibers, before his arm began to shift upright.

"No longer.. is losing at this acceptable. Two men.. I've now been the destroyer of two's ambitions." Gnashing his teeth at the back onto front- Omi managed to shift his body in the proper position for his previous regiment, before continuing it. The weighty chain mesh still lined his body; yet still, his clothing stuck to him a tad, save the gauntlets & boots, which laid patiently by his bedside. And continue, he most certainly did- now at an accelerated pace. No doubt, this practice would be sustained each and every day, until that fateful calendar day, in which his own Round III bout would commence. Small trickles of a bizarre liken-crimson light began to glisten across his neck. Now, he was forcing himself to exert, of all things, that state whilst refining his body; just to add further stress. Yet, one name could not be perished from his mind, as both of his eyelids came to a shut. "Lazenca Miranda.. it will be a pity - you having to face me." Finally shifting his body upright partially, sitting up before shifting into a cross-legged position, his thoughts blazed further. This was signified by his right fist, no longer covered in a gauntlet's material, forming a fist- which knuckle bone resounded in response.

37Kuroiten

Razen is stretched out across his bunk as he has been for most of the last two months, too ill and weak to attempt to even watch any of the matches as his ribs heal.

Razen: I really need to find a medic...or a white mage. Something like that.

His movements are still ginger, but they are stronger and more sure than when he limped off the arena floor to the infirmary.

38Tommy Zocotti

$ From behind the locked door of the fighter's room a sterio blasted ,judging by the amount of bass, some sort of hip hop music that played at a high volume but it was nothing but a hum to anyone to pass by. The shower door clicked open as the man cut off the cold water. Tommy liked cold shower always because he felt they tightened his muscles after a fight or work out instead of relaxing them wih a hot one. He ruteenly brushed his teeth and groomed himself appropriatly before exiting the bathroom with a clean smell lingering behind him. Tommy Zocotti was a tall african american male standing about 6'4 or 5, maybe even 6'6" depending on the sneakers. His build was very thin but his muscles stayed firm in place. A perfect six pack and a large bouldering chest along with cut and shaped bicepts help prove his profession as a gangster that was a warrior at heart. Zocotti sliped on his socks as he hopped on each foot to his closet. Not having to think the man pulled out a pair of what he refered to as brawler's jeans. Baggy jeans in the thigh that he had rolled into thin cuffs not to rip at the bottems with preset scars in patterns and patchs making them seem like pants that had been though a few scraps. The Fighter slipped on a Royal blue tall tee followed by layering with the same type of white tee over it. Tommy walked over to his dresser and grabbed his Warrior belt with all of the bubbles filled and a holster with a loaded FN Five-seveN with an extra clip under the small holster. This"Cop Killer" weapon would have a low chance of use but it was there as both a simbol of his life style and incase his opponent battle that ttype of way. To finish of the outfit of armor he quickly stepped over to his bed and heaved up his battle jacket with both arms swinging it on as he walked out of his door cutting the music off as he left.$

Oppithegus walked along the path his feet makeing a sort of impression in the ground, as he walked down the cobblestone walkway. his breathe was vial and could kill a horse with one blow. Nightmare clenched in his left clawlike hand. with his Dark staff in the form of a sword in his other claw like hand on the right. he finaly came to his room and he walked into it it having to duck down due to his being 8' "5 tall. his two tails swaying behind him. as his green fluericant almost like eyes gazed upon the bed. he layed down on it his mouth falling agape as he fell inot a deep sleep.

40Typhoon Omi

One haggard step after another. It had been a very short time ago since the triumphant mercenary of [Barton Branch Round III] was released from his unconcious, wounded state in the local Infirmary. He refused to merely lay in bed, as very well he should have - so in that act of stubbornness, he had his clothing repatched once more . . and left for his dorm. Though it was a pained means of reaching there, walking.

Miscellaneous bandage cloth lined many spots of his body; left arm wrapped in it, a wooden walking-stick in his right hand helping make the means of stepping along less of a burden. Yet still, as each wooden tile in the hallway of the dorms were met with another rap of the walking-stick, one had to wonder: Could Omi Barsait participate in another round, given his health?

The match itself was rather bizarre, what little of the end he remembered - that, he was still trying to piece together. Before his consciousness fell to the dirt itself, apparently, Lazenca Miranda was pierced directly through the heart in a failed charge of some type. Yet, the swordsman could have sworn in his lingering inferno easing into pained sleep - he had saw something along the lines of Miranda, blurry and with a darker outlining, being dragged away . . . no doubt, Omi Barsait did not enjoy the fact he had slain the man, despite their growing disagreement in principles. In fact, normally, Barsait would have felt an overwhelming level of guilt; but, that match . . something was different of it. He felt no such guilt - just a stinging in his flesh, and a weary mind seeking rest. A testament of the ferocity of their battle, perhaps.

Still, as a gauntlet covered hand - the gauntlets & boots of Barsait having been recovered and brought to him, along with Caladbolg fortunately - the mercenary prattled his dorm door, wooden and creaking forward, open with an apparent level of weakness. Already, he felt like the time he was spending 'resting' was a waste.. there was so much more he could refine now. Practice upon, think upon. But such acts would have to wait until.. well, who knows. "Perhaps in the end, I did lose that match.." Giving a light, merry inner chuckle despite his predicament - the swordsman shifted on into the darkness of the room. Shortly before a flick of a nearby light switch gave the candescent light bulb above a hum to life, casting the glow of sight upon each corner of that small, cozy dorm.

And still, his right shoulder burned.

41Trenchant Cogency

Once the heavily injured mercenary flipped on the light, he would find a familiar child sitting on his bed, looking directly at him with emerald green eyes.

It was Fas in child form, and those emerald green eyes widened at his friend's state, watching the once-powerful mercenary limp horribly, tracing his eyes across Omi and checking the multiple injuries.

"My god...and those are just the ones that are visable..." Fas thought, before leaping off the bed and running over to Omi's side, his bushy blonde hair flying in a flurry with his speed, supporting Omi to keep him from falling down once he reached the Mercenary's side.

"Goddamn, what did he do to you?" Fas said, a heavily worried tone to the voice of the "child".

42Typhoon Omi

Quick surprise followed by a comically confused expression followed Omi's discovery of his 'visitor'. Still, the support was well appreciated; for hadn't he been supported, likely, the mercenary would have collapsed and most quickly. Still, he couldn't help but question despite the spectacle at hand: "Ehr.. Fasumbra? If that's your idea of shape shifting, it's pretty damned odd." Grinning, he then continued on, "Lazenca, for better or worse, was a worthier opponent than I originally anticipated. Had I thought he'd be what he was, the match would've been ended much more quickly.. but, that shows you what arrogance gets ya', I suppose. Guess I did get pretty banged up, though."

His words were an exaggeration; his body was weary. Wounded. Patched cuts, bruises, assorted wounds without equal; and to top it, his right shoulder which had erupted a monstrous level of flames just earlier that day, still wounded as though fire were seeping beneath his flesh . . Regardless, his left hand shot up and waved dismissively, for the mercenary added, "I'll be fine . . I'm just not sure if I'll be fine enough for my next match. I imagine I'll look quite the fool if I walk in there and stumble to the ground before the announcer even gives the word to fight." Giving a slightly weaker laugh, it was apparent the wound-induced fatigue was starting to get at Omi, even if he was resisting it.

43Trenchant Cogency

"I can heal you, but we've got to hurry. Your match just got called..." Fas said, before sitting Omi down on the bed, then grabbing the injured shoulders in a very firm grip, one that would most likely be painful.

A soft, white glow came off Fas' hands, the light going through Omi's clothes and to the injured spots on his shoulders. The burns there would seem to slowly be swallowed up by new skin for Omi, and there would be no more pain.

The light continued down his arms, healing any wounds there in the same style as the burns. After about 2 minuetes, there was no evidence of a single wound on Omi's body from the neck down. Fas was panting, his small chest heaving in an effort to get air.

"Alright...now your eye...and maybe a bit more than just a healing..." Fas said, slightly out of breath.

He looked Omi directly in the eyes for a moment, and then a flash would seem to go off, like a camera flash, an emerald green one that shot into Omi's eyes. He would feel a bit odd for a moment, and his senses would all be gone...but for a moment.

After that, they would return, and Omi would find them incredibly strong. His eyesight would allow him to see the smallest details on an object, even from hundreds of feet away. Eyes better than that of a hawk.

His sense of hearing would be strong enough to not only hear Fas' heart beating, but even hear other people's hearts beating from several rooms away, through walls.

As well, all his other senses were heightened to such amazing levels.

A being such as Omi probably wouldn't be able to have all this without his mind overloading and dieing, so Fas thought of that.

Omi would find his reaction time nearly tripled, as well as a "mind expansion", which allowed him to function perfectly, as well as a ton more room for memory and "processing" speed.

Further, his entire body had been "upgraded". He was faster, stronger, and more intellegent than ever before. He would feel more than healed, a feeling of confidance and renewed vigor running through him.

Fas stepped back, then walked slowly, tiredly, over to a box sitting on the floor. He bent over and pulled a set of chainmail out, except the mail was a solid black color instead of a useual shiny silver.

"Here....Languardian Steel...Hardest alloy around...I couldn't cut through it with even Leinguard...It's pretty much impossible to hurt you with this on...that is, with Melee attacks...This won't help much against magic unless it's some kind of solid magic, like ice crystals..." Fas tossed the mail over, it landing beside Omi lightly, apparently not that heavy at all.

Omi was now fully healed, his entire body upgraded, and now he had possibly the hardest chainmail in existance on his side.

"Go ahead, mate...Good luck...I'll be there as soon as I catch my breath."

Fas smiled at his freind, sitting heavily in an armchair, and almost instantly falling asleep, soft snoring filling the room.

((Sorry it took so long, Comp got fucked up. -_-;; Good luck Omi.))

44[Yusuke Urameshi]

Stepping down the hallway would be the spirit detective, having gotten the invitation from a certain someone to come visit him at his quarters. He wears only his oepn green jacket over a sleeveless white shirt, followed by jeans and blue sneakers. And not to mention the bandage still over his right cheek. Coming to the door of this Vexic, he would inhale, then exhale, not sure what would happen once they encountered. Either the two would fight or something unexpected would happen. He didn't know, but he didn't care. He wanted answers.

Knock, knock, knock.

45Tacitus

The door slowly slid openafter Yusuke knocked, the sight within a rather gruesome one at best. Rotting flesh hanging from hooks and pieces of bodies strewn about. The odd thing would be that there is no smell coming from all the rotting bits. This is quickly cleared up as...the door opens again? The image remained on the door, but the door had opened, clearly indicating it was some sort of illusion. Had Jonas not opened the door some spooky shit would have happened to ward off intruders, mostly for fun.

Jonas smiled when he noticed Yusuke, then waved for him to come in, "You'd be amazed the fun you can have with illusions." As opposed to his green pants, boots, shirt, and black trenchcoat he was instead wearing brown slacks with a loose red shirt with no shoes, a labcoat over it all. The smell of chemicals was barely apparent in the air, as well as what seemed to be the smell of mice. These scents were coming from a table along the back wall where he seemed to have several experiments. On his bed were a pile of medical books and journals he had requisitioned. Nothing else seemed to adorn the room, no weapons or anything one might expect of a combatant. He went over to his desk to allow the door to close once Yusuke had entered, "I'm afraid I only have one chair, so its either a pile of books, the bed, or the stool. Though I guess you could stand, not like it matters much."

46[Yusuke Urameshi]

Yusuke wasn't that much impressed by these illusions the guy had placed before him. He already wasn't in the best of moods. Even looking at the guy made his hand tense into a fist, wanting to just strike him right now for all those people he had killed.

"No, thanks, I'm fine where I am," he responds, his face in a stern serious look. "But it looks like the only thing that wasn't an illusion is what you did in that fight. You may see it as some type of peace giving, but I see it as just an excuse for killing whoever you like, and I don't like that. So, why did you call me over here in the first place? I find it hard to believe that you don't want revenge."

47Tacitus

He moved to sit on the stool so as to face Yusuke, shaking his head, "Everything has to be so hostile all the time, doesn't it? I sure would like revenge, but killing you here were no one will see isn't very sportsmanlike. I will exact my revenge the next time we meet in honorable combat. Only then can I break my hippocratic oath in good conscience. In combat or in service of my faith the pursuit of pain becomes my only goal. You must understand that I do not do this out of pleasure, but because of divine will. I am but a servant of something much larger than any single being, mortal or otherwise. In return for my obedience I can help others when not pursuing the cause."

He let out a sigh as he closed his eye, "I am not proud of killing those spectators. I rationalize it to myself by explaining that they've gone to some higher existence." His eye slowly opens as he speaks, "I want to help you have some mastery over your own torments. Maybe even help you save others from pain. Maybe you'll use talents like mine in a way less...evil."

48[Yusuke Urameshi]

Servant to a divine will to give out pain by killing a person, then having them ascend to some better place? That was the common excuse of an assassin or any murderer, so Yusuke still wasn't buying it. Though the last part of his speech sort of caught him off guard.

"Help me? What makes you think I need someone like you to help me? If anything, I rather kick your face in again than get any type of sadistic help from you. If you think you're going to have me become you, you're wasting your time."

49Tacitus

He shook his head, "You don't understand. I don't want to force you to become me, I want to help you become better at stopping... monsters like me. If you let me help you maybe your intentions won't become tainted like mine have. All I ever wanted to do was heal the sick, take the pain of the injured and dying. I'm a doctor, for god's sake. My zeal clouds my judgement, and always at the worst moments... I really do believe those people I killed have gone onto a better place, but it wasn't by my hand it should have been done." A mere blink and his eye seemed to have an ember burning within, "You wouldn't have my zeal. You'd not let yourself be tainted. I can see it..."

50[Yusuke Urameshi]

"Can you stop spilling that crap of yours," he says in a scold, waving his hand to the side as he spoke, obviously pissed. "Calling yourself a doctor. It's really ironic how you say you heal people by killing them. And then you not only admit to it, you show little care for it. Damn, you remind me of a certain short demon."

Last time, Toguro had killed all those demons in the arena only because of intentional reasons of trying to show Yusuke how weak he was at protecting them all. And still, someone had did the same thing to him, teaching him that he wouldn't be able to save everyone at his level of power. He needed to get stronger....better. And maybe, just maybe, the sick doctor was right.

51Tacitus

His eye closed once more, "I really am a Doctor, Yusuke. At least I was, so very long ago, before my zeal and search for perfection blinded me. I cannot grieve for those I have killed, it would be an empty gesture as I feel no pain, no regret. I can't. I do, however, recognize what I do is wrong. I'm offering you the chance to be my opposite, to become what I wanted to be but cannot ever become. You could steal the suffering of others and empower yourself to protect them... There would be no more monsters like me."

52[Yusuke Urameshi]

"The hell that means," he only says. Basically, he was rejecting him but accepting him at the same time, a way to make himself feel comfortable in this situation. He hated the guy, and needed to keep that impression. He wasn't one for backing down from what he says. When he was set on something, he meant it.

53Tacitus

He let out a sigh, "Most warriors block their pain and ignore it. While they are better for it than those that cannot, someone that can harness their anguish becomes all the more powerful for it." He stood and moved towards Yusuke, but not in a threatening manner, "You have two o- well, three options. You can either kill me where I stand and release your hate for me, walk away and call me a lunatic, or accept my help." He extended a hand, the nails showing blood he had not washed away, "Take my hand and feel for a moment, if you will, how I feel the world. See it not as I see it as things on which to feed, but as opportunities to grant salvation and increase your power to help others henceforth."

Should Yusuke take his hand willingly his sight would fall away and leave him with a rather different view of the world. He would see Jonas as a roiling cloud of green mist with two blazing point sof light, one much brighter than the other. In the distance others would be seen like stars in the sky at night. Short bursts would indicate pain by those fighting around the arena and in the gym, slowly waning to nothing. When contact break it would vanish completely. This, of course, wasn't how Jonas always saw the world, but more of an overlay between normal sight and otherwise.

54[Yusuke Urameshi]

The first option sounded so sweet to Yusuke right now. The thought of just giving the guy a rest in peace was right there in front of him. This was his chance to make this guy pay for the suffering he caused Yusuke during that match. So he brings up his right fist, shaking it as he held it in front of him. Then he swings it forth....

Clasping the hand of Jonas, though not showing he was happy with it. Yet now he gasps at the sight he was seeing before him. What the hell? If this was some sort of trick, Yusuke was going to make the guy pay. Just looking around made it seem like he was in space, though the colorings were sort of strange to him. He would assume they had to do with aura, his hand quickly leaving Jonas's as he gives the "doctor" a more surprised look.

"What was that," he asks, still keeping his serious tone.

55Tacitus

Jonas had a bit of a smirk, "Instances of pain, both physical and otherwise. Opportunities to either increase one's power at the expense of other's misfortune, or steal the anguish of the tormented and bring salvation. Flowery language, but it means one thing; Pain is everywhere and everywhen. Nothing can escape it. You can be a victim, a tyrrant, or a savior, Yusuke. I am forced to balance the three, but you would not be. Will you be the savior that I could not be?"

56[Yusuke Urameshi]

"You should know the answer to that," he says, referencing to his actions already in their fight of him trying to save those people. Again, the thought of it made him wish to....okay, so he needed to calm his nerves a little. The people were dead, but the Spirit World was taking good care of them now. So that meant he'll just have to not make it happen again.

"It's not like my next opponent is going to 'save' people the way you did anyway, right?"

57Tacitus

His tone was grim, "Whether or not your next opponent, or anyone else in your entire lifetime attempts the same act you will find that this strength will not merely be useful in countering mindgames and fouling those whom play God. The anguish of others pales in comparison to that of yourself, past and present. Intimate knowledge of agony tastes sweeter and stronger than that of another. If your view is so limited to that of your next opponent, consider a powerful blow dealt to yourself. Without this power the pain could only be a hinderance. With my help it can be focused, physically and by means of your...interesting energy based attacks. Return the throes of pain tenfold upon your enemies and those wishing harm to the innocent."

He may have been long-winded, but the next part was short and to the point, "Grasp my hand and learn the secrets of Agony. It will hurt." If contact was made Yusuke's world would fall away again, Jonas's other hand quickly moving to increase contact closer to his mind. The process would induce pulses of pain in which Yusuke's 'vision' would be engulfed in emerald flames. Knowledge would stream through the link as Jonas sought to implant the seed of Agony within Yusuke and link his mind to torment itself. Unless he resisted it some aspect of himself would become shaded greed. His eyes, fingernails, a tuft of hair, a symbol on the skin, or even something so simple as a ring burning into existence that would be incredibly difficult to remove. Jonas's aspect happened to be his eyes, which made sense as that was the only thing left of the 'real' Jonas. Once the seed was implanted all it needed was cultivation and training to bend the sapling to his will. Psychic abilities would greatly improve his link to torment, especially the type in other individuals, and the even more difficult non-physical pain.

58[Yusuke Urameshi]

What was he up to? Why should he believe this doctor? It was thing of having your friends close and your enemies closer. But maybe this was too close. He was always not to trust anyone so quickly. And this was considerable one of those times. A dillemma for sure. However, if what he said was true, then maybe he'll get better. Besides, he went through this before. No different than having to absorb that orb of Genkai's, right? His right hand moves forward to clasp Jonas's....

59[Genkai]

GRASP!

A good smack is heard from the immediate grip of Yusuke's right wrist, Genkai standing there to his right as she looked at the boy with those same grim eyes.

"I knew if I left you alone to your own accords, you'll do something stupid."

She lets go of his hand, looking toward Jonas. Facing him entirely, face to face, two psychics now facing down one another. Just allowing for one thought to slip from either's mind would allow the other to gain an advantage in this mental game. But Genkai wasn't here for games.

"I don't mind you helping Yusuke. From what I heard, you do have some truth in your words, for I have had to follow a similar route in my life of learning to not have the pain of others weaken me, but strengthen me instead. But do not think we're going to trust you that easily. In a sense, I will like to bear witness to this help you're going to offer him. That way, we can at least have some precautions for unexpected results. I don't like this one bit, but we don't have much time left before the next match. It looks like your next opponent anyway, Yusuke, is going to be yet another psychic. Only this one isn't going to be as easy, either. I would train you, but it wouldn't take a week to have you get good enough to take on this guy. So....doctor, if you believe you can help Yusuke gain this power in such a short time, then maybe you are of some help, after all."

60Tacitus

When Genkai grabbed Yusuke's hand Jonas's pulled back for a moment, balling into a fist, but not in anger. He looked to Genkai with a look that bordered on surprise in his single eye. He took a moment to compose himself before speaking, "Here I was under the impression I told him to come alone...and that I had closed the door." Instead of showing contempt he smiled, "Either way, you are allowed to stay and do as you will. I would not suggest a mental link with him during the process as it may have some side effects on the process of implanting the Seed of Agony. Its sounds worse than it is, aside from the pain to be endured during the the process of implanting it. Over time it can be, but does not have to be, cultivated to grow into a solid substance, much like that of my metallic frame."

As his hand slowly opened he extended it to Yusuke again, "Take the seed and do with it what you will. Once it rests within you it will be out of my hands. I will be able to act as a guide, and nothing more."

61[Genkai]

Genkai would look to Yusuke. "Instead of stopping you and disagreeing any further, I'll let you decide what to do, Yusuke. Wether he is telling the truth or not will be up to you to trust in. I will leave that to you."

She turns around, walking out of the room, her arms folded behind her back. This was now something he had to do for himself. She couldn't interfere any longer. But she would go off and research more on his next opponent. So far, she wasn't liking seeing his abilities in his previous matches.

62[Yusuke Urameshi]

The spirit detective doesn't watch her leave out the room. He was only staring forward, though not at anything in particular. When she leaves the room, he looks over his shoulder then back at Jonas. He didn't say a word or make any movements, wanting to think about this for the moment. He didn't like taking the easy way through things. It didn't feel right for him, someone who rather work to achieve his strength than take the shortcuts, much like how Toguro did to make himself into a demon. However, Yusuke was doing this for a more justified cause.

"Don't think this makes us friends. I'm still going to make you pay one day for what you did to those people out there." He then extends his right hand to clasp the hand of Jonas's.

63Tacitus

His skin was electric, magnetic, scalding, but at the same time the hand that gripped Yusuke's in turn radiated warmth and grace. This was, of course, before an intense pressure would begin building against Yusuke's brain. Letting it flow would indeed be painful, almost as if tearing at the 'flesh' of his mind as it tried to force its way through. With sensations building within his mind the metal piercing through Jonas's skin into his own would likely go unnoticed.

The green flames would fill his vision again, this time wreathing his otherworldly 'body' in flame, obstructing vision. Pinpoints of life and death would cry out beyond the conflagration that now surrounded the two, but none could compare. Though unable to move his body this otherworldly frame would be capable of movement, and he would even be able to take a look around and 'see' himself. Where Jonas spread into jagged points that belied his material frame Yusuke might notice that every nerve in his body looked as if it were burning with an internal fire. He was a disorganized wire cage where Jonas was a solid structure built of pain and discipline.

It was at that moment that the pain began to ebb into the background and a different sort of connection was forged between them. Physical contact and links of telepathy and empathy worked well enough, but for a moment in time they pushed beyond their mortal bodies into a state Jonas so desired for all. They were as pure energy, the spark or torment within Yusuke kindling a flame by contact and proximity to a greater inferno. With no pain left within them they were as near to death as one can be without severing the link to their own mortality.

Darkness.

Everything between them was broken, the links of agony, empathy, and telepathy severed as Jonas slumped to the floor. Three marks would be left on Yusuke's hand each perfect lined exactly on centimeter in length in the patter of a triangle. They would remain only temporary and after that time would not even leave a scar. With the world returning to Yusuke he would find his senses raw and numbed, as if they had been overloaded. Jonas, on the other hand, was temporarily deaf and blind, his senses of taste and smell not really existing as it was. The sense of touch remained, but that was not something he could, or would, ever have removed. Anything said within thirty seconds wouldn't be heard at all, in fact, he'd seem almost dead, being unresponsive save for a whisper. It was nothing comprehensible, merely praises and pained gratitude to the very ideal in which he believed.

64[Yusuke Urameshi]

You know that feeling you get when you feel like you've slipped on a wet floor and landed straight on your head? Well, this is how Yusuke was starting to feel now. His vision blurring, the world around him started to twist and spin, a dizzying effect that made him stand there with a shocked face, completely in surprise of this feeling in his mind. And that alone had him experience that brain-crushing pain that would come from this power Jonas was using, the teen frozen. He wanted to just rip his brain out of his head for some odd reason, but he couldn't even move as emerald flames took place of the blurry sight before him.

Then it cleared, though it was more like the dream type of clear than actual clear sight, for in a dream, sight wasn't exactly perfect anyway. Now it felt like he had just died, because for someone who had experienced death before, he was feeling like he was going through the pass away again. He now was thinking for that moment that Jonas may have just killed him. And though he wanted to get angry, he somehow couldn't, though curious of his body that he somehow was able to see in front of him. So was he a ghost?

For this time, Yusuke was merely a mind lost in the void, not even conscious of the events taking place. Only a small spark of himself remained in his mind, and it was the very thing keeping him from being killed by the overstress. After all, this was the main place where Yusuke's determined will resided. But with one scream within his mind, like a light piercing through the darkness, Yusuke's sight returned quickly, his face sweaty from the mental and physical exhaustion. He saw Jonas on the floor, stepping back. He didn't know what just happened, but his eyes do catch the sight of the mark on the palm of his right hand. He only stares at it then back to the doctor, breathing heavily.

"What....the.....hell?"

65Tacitus

Jonas sat nigh motionless as his senses took their time to return, "A newborn child has to cry, for only in this way will his lungs expand. I tell many of the child who could not breathe when it was born. In order to make it breathe I gave it a slight blow. The mother must have thought me to be cruel, where I was really doing the kindest thing possible. As with children the lungs are contracted, as with the whole of our being. Only by pain suffering can one expand." His single eye rose to Yusuke, still devoid of any glimmer within despite his sight having returned. His smile was grim, "The seed has been planted, and I can do little more directly. My final act of aid can only be to instruct and to... force a demonstration."

66[Yusuke Urameshi]

Damn him and his little metaphor of himself to a child. He was recovering quickly from the trauma he just went through, eyebrows lowered to show a slight frown on his part. It looked like things were about to take another rough bump across this road he was taking.

"Fine. But let's do this somewhere more out of the way."

67Tacitus

He nodded before moving to stand, groaning from the effort of lifting himself from the ground. His joints were sore, but it was not a sensation he found entirely unwelcome, but he certainly perfered it to be gone. He stretched as bit, his head rolling back with a loud crack which sounded more like snapping metal echoed by similar ones throughout his body. He gestured to the door, "After you, to wherever it is that you would feel most comfortable, or uncomfortable if that is your wish."

68[Yusuke Urameshi]

Yusuke would turn, walking out of the room, his feet taking him back toward the exit, his destination being outside.

69Tacitus

The hallways leading to and from the corridor off of which Temporal Overseer Tacitus Nusradai's room was located were filled with white light tinted with a hue of orange. It slowly receded back to his room as the Gate closed, all his equipment for his next match now filling the room. Several absolutely huge crates took up one side of the room, all of the furniture moved out of the way. Tacitus himself was leaning against one of the walls, breathing hard with a trickle of blood leaking from the corner of his mouth. He grumbled to himself as he wiped it away with the sleeve of his coat, "Damned blood elemental. This would be so much easier if healing magic worked on m-" He fell into a fit of coughing, blood splattered against his hand when he finally stopped and pulled it away. His eyes were wattering, but he pushed through the dull pain that had been throbbing in what should be his gut for the past several days, making his way out of his room.

The sound of a heavy metal lock rings through the empty dormitory hallways, deep beneath the arena proper. Another warrior has fallen, it seems... another set of eyes will never open again, never feel the rain that falls from the darkened heavens. Never has Sam, the janitor in charge of cleaning up this wing, been so grateful to lock a door in his life. It's bad enough ta go thro' a dead man's thengs, he thinks, Withaut there bein' all that blood...

With that oh-so-cheery thought, he loads the last two articles, a pair of swords that for some reason can't be pulled from their sheathes, into his hand truck and sets off to the store-room, where the kid's possesions will wait until someone finds the kid's will or they are auctioned away. Given the punk's age, odds are they'll be auctioned off by the arena after the tournament's end, adding funds for later purses or just filling the pockets of the staff. Not gonna make too much offa him, though; a couple of decorative swords and some silk shirts... a couple thousand gold at best. Still, money's money...

So, the swords are placed into a barrel alongside other lost and broken weapons, some coated with ages of dust and cobwebs, some fairly new. The clothes are hung or tossed into piles depending on their quality, and various knick-knacks placed here and there. Then, once again, the door is closed and a heavy lock snaps into place, and the lights dim on all that remains of Trei Shouri.
