Boiling Arena

Description: A pathway extends from each entrance way, allowing each fighter to walk to the center platform, walking over the firey coals below. Once you reach the center platform, the pathways extend back toward the doors, starting the match.
Due to the heat this arena gives off, the stands are given a heat-resilient transparent pane to look through for the audience, thus disallowing entry into the stands. But the ceiling is open to allow the heat to vent out. The ground is now scattered with hot coal being heated by a system underneath, making the temperature in the fighting ring at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The only best place to fight on would be the 50 yards diameter stone platform in the center of the ring, standing 6 ft from the ground. Though it isn't giving off heat that would burn your feet, the sheer warmth coming from it should be enough to show that even this platform is having a hard time resisting the heat around it. To help fight against the temperatures, each fighter is only given one 20 oz. bottle of water for them to use.
Ten Count Boundary: The only ten count boundary is going above thirty feet into the air. Thus, the entire fighting area is open, with the stands being restricted off by the pane of glass protecting the audience.

"This!...is FUCKING GAY!!"
Tres shouted as he was positioned crouched at the edge of the ring opposite of where his opponent would enter. He was pissed, very, very, pissed. He wasn't sure why he just lost his last fight, that shit was extremely close with Tres pulling his opponent out of the water. He apparently was being forced to fight the same fagot over again and he knew this was not going to be fun. He was fighting in some fucked up stage where the winners of the last match got a boxing ring, something he would have been perfectly fine with.
Tres was trying to figure out if he was just going to up and walk out of this mother fucker.

::lolwut
That was his state of mind anyway. Deity's mouth visibly dropped when he saw someone familiar across the arena. The waves of heat and the initial shock of the hellish new arena took a backseat to this one. Tres? Tres again? Again?? Finally Deity spoke, turning around to see if maybe someone was just playing a prank on him.::
...what is this, are you--...?
::Why the Christ was he facing Tres again? If this was a joke, it was a bad one. With any luck this match would turn out better than the last, if it turned out at all. Thus far Deity's prior two opponents were either no-shows or really didn't seem to know what they were doing.
The tall boy looked no different than last time, though now he wore a little less. His hat was gone to allow his long hair to freely rise to the right, and his red bandana was pulled up over his eyebrows, eyeglasses gone astray. They'd get a bit too foggy in this heat. As such his dull red eyes could finally be seen. He had on a fitted white tanktop, a skintight grey suit underneath that reached his shoulders and halfway up the length of his neck. One would think it warm in this heat but it'd actually serve to keep the boy cool.
Deity still wore leather gloves, though they were smaller and seemed less heavy, reaching only past his wrist. The material he previously wore underneath was gone. Over his tucked-in shirt was a pair of blue jeans, loose enough to collect into baggy wrinkles around his thick boots. A sturdy plastic appliance was connected to the back of his belt; it held up the dull metal sheath of a narrow sword behind his hips, the black cloth-bound handle curved slightly. The scabbard stretched only two and a half feet in length - more or less resembling a katana. Lastly, the beverage he recieved as a gift was tucked snuggly in his left front pocket, which was thankfully deep enough to swallow pretty much the whole bottle.
Sighing softly through his nose, his long-legged stride carried him quickly over the passage to the safety of the central stage. He walked inward a couple dozen yards to bring himself closer to his reprised opponent and to escape the heat presented by the edges of the arena. What a joy this would be.::

"So you are what I nearly died last round to fight. Oh man, this must be some kind of joke."
Tres seemed armed differently but as always Tres kept his weapons hidden. Even the bottle of water could not immediately be seen. The only thing his opponent would see were those brutal ten digits adorned in the vajra mushti combat gloves. He stood up slowly as he spoke and with an almost sleepy look on his face. He would inhale slowly and then exhale the puffy white hot steam from the cruel machine that was his body. Tres seemed to be fine, he had spent time in the elemental plane of fire so this was nothing to him. The clothes on his body seemed to be far more tarnished but the clothes underneath were renewed.
"Lets get this bullshit overwith."
Tres said as he watched the opponent begin to walk towards him. In a single movement, Tres would smoothly shift into his boxing like stance and begin walking over towards the opponent with the shuffling footwork he had used in the previous matches.

::Tres clearly wasn't any more excited about this match than Deity was, but that wouldn't change a terrible lot. In the end he only hoped to put up a better performance, and in order to do that he'd need to stay off of the ground. Last time that got them nowhere. With any luck his opponent would - that in mind - try to do the same.
As Tres stepped into his stance Deity responded by changing his pace and shifting his right foot into the lead. As he approached he moved in a wide path around to Tres' right as opposed to simply moving straight toward him. He stayed mostly on the balls of his feet through the soles of his boots, moving through quick, sweeping steps that carried him lightly across the hot floor. The tall boy raised his left hand near his chest with his elbow away, his right held close at waist level.
The Orinian's lighter stance brought him nearer to his adversary so that only about four feet separated them. Depending on whether or not Tres continued toward him, Deity could stay on the move to maintain that distance. Keeping his feet a little past shoulder width apart he stood relatively still considering the constant bouncing of his heels, his red eyes on Tres.::

Tres would find what the opponent did strange. He would take a south paw stance and would come at Tres at his right side. Tres would continue in his forward path but would turn his body to face his opponent squarely as they would come into close quarters with each other. Tres would then step in towards the opponent attempting to enter hand to hand striking range, keeping his hands up high.
If Tres could get in range he would throw a jab towards the opponents eye. The jab though fast and safe was still a damaging attack considering Tres was attempting to strike the right eye with his fist covered in steel bearings. The attack would be made with the intent to shake the opponent and set up for a combination. During the jab he would slide the lead foot forward.

::Deity kept his distance for a moment, but eventually slowed his pace, bouncing from side to side on his heels as Tres entered within striking range. The first jab flew, and the boy responded by throwing up his right hand. With a swift swiping motion his gloved palm slapped against the outside of the opponent's attacking arm, his hand diverting the punch inward and slightly up, to Tres' right.
As he swung his arm Deity swept his left leg backward, stepping away and back to his right to bring himself outside of Tres' punch. He stayed pretty close to his opponent for that brief moment, but once he'd turned about ninety degrees he pushed away with his right leg. In doing this he shuffled backward a few steps to reopen the ground Tres closed when he approached, remaining light on his feet as he returned to his previous stance.::

The opponent would parry Tres's jab out to his left while swinging his lef leg to the rear. While this would not set the opponent off angle from Tres and they would remain square, it would shift the opponent into a sort of side stance. Tres felt in that instance that, that movement had given him the advantage.
During Tres's jab his left foot had come forward, this would be the half step and would be completed as the punch was parried by sliding up the rear foot. Tres's footwork would make sure to keep him close in striking range to the opponent even after the opponent attempted to step away. During this moment the left hand would recover.
The opponent would then continue to take a few more steps to attempt to reopen the the ground that Tres had closed, however, because Tres was so close; once he would throw the right low muay thai round house kick to the opponents legs, his steps away from Tres would not get him away fast enough to be able to evade the kick.
The kick was thrown with perfect technique and had more than enough power to sweep the light footed opponent off his feet. Because the opponent was in a sort of side stance, Tres's right shin would be able to hit the rear left leg on which the opponents weight was focused.

::Given the nature of his retreat - swinging the left leg around and pushing away with the right before his left boot ever touched the floor again - the only leg in danger of Tres' roundhouse was the right. The step he was to take would bring him out of kicking range, but the kick was faster; if Deity stepped back the way he had intended his right foot would be kicked out from under him as he stepped and he'd lose his balance. Since he intended to leave the ground either way, altering the strength and direction of his hop to avoid getting a shin to the shin wouldn't be the most difficult thing to do.
Upon seeing Ecstuffuan execute his muay thai kick, the Orinian - still on his right foot after having initially swung his left leg around - kicked himself into a short hop instead of a low backward step, tucking his elbows in high against his sides as he did. Bringing his right foot up with him, he effectively avoided having his right leg eat the kick, assuming Tres did not predict a jump and aim higher. Assuming he did, he would need to kick higher than his own hips in order to land the attack on Deity's right leg, the lowest limb at this point.
Not content with simply hopping only to land - still within range - and deal with a continued assault, Deity attempted a counterattack in order to try backing off again. As he left the ground, his left leg was already in the proper position for a vertically-inclined kick due to his initial sweeping step prior to hopping. As such, he quickly brought his left leg from behind himself with a pendulum-like kick that would jab at Tres' chest with the toe of his boot. The intent wasn't raw power, so while it wouldn't send Tres into the floor it also was very fast; the very front of the left sole would be the point of contact, and would now be a little lower than his right leg. The goal was only to hit Deity's opponent in the sternum as he was kicking, using him as leverage to push away. The distance between the two was just enough for the kick, as the prior left step already gave the boy a little backward momentum to influence his jump.
Even if that was well and successful, landing was another story.::

Tres had thrown the right muay thai kick and the opponent responded by making a short hop while raising the right leg. Swinging the left leg back and then hopping on the right leg would make a sort of awkward movement but it had served its purpose by stopping the opponent from making a backwards step and starting the exchange in which Tres would feel very confident.
After the opponent made his short hop he would perform a pendulum like kick that would come at an upward vertically inclined path aimed towards tres's chest. The kick may have been fast but the motion itself was rather sluggish, flashy kicks such as this were usually very telegraphed and for such a seasoned martial artist dealing with it would be no problem.
The opponents body would likely come more parallel to the ground in order to position the left leg to thrust up at the chest mid jump (?, I'm not too sure about how your body is positioned during the kick but I'll do my best). Tres would defend the kick simply by closing his forearms in front of his chest in a boxers front block, letting the steel toed boot hit 'tink' into his armored forearms. Simultaneously Tres would step down with his left foot with his knee's slightly bent in a south paw stance.
Immediately after blocking Tres would use his right forearm to attempt to push the ankle of the block kick upwards to his right to set the opponent off balance to ensure that the man made a bad landing that he could later take advantage of. At the same time, Tres would shuffle step forward shifting back into his orthodox footing.

::In the air after a quick jump and having one's extended foot pushed up and to the side left anyone in quite a predicatment. If the kick had been simply blocked Deity could've followed with a right kick to keep himself steady but now his body was pivoting clockwise and onto its side - he could still follow up that way, but it'd be at a sturdy defense and from a poor angle. Not the best move. On top of it, gravity was doing its thing and the boy didn't have a solid footing for his descent. His did however have a trick up his sleeve.
Logic dictated that after diverting his foot Tres would watch Deity hit the ground right before him, ready to be manhandled in some impolite manner. Well, he might bounce right back up, but he'd still hit the ground. That didn't happen. The fact was that the Orinian had refrained from doing something at all during his matches thus far as he had not yet had a need to, but now was as good a time as any. Deity was able to fly, and thus was rarely confined to the rules given to him by gravity. It was this ability that he put to use shortly after his descent began.
With him having leaned back some ways during his prior kick, having it pushed aside likewise turned his body quickly. His upper torso was moving toward Tres, his arms still up near his own chest. When the hovering trick kicked in, Deity's shoulders were just about level with his opponent's; the two were close enough to reach out and land a flat palm. Only a breath after his leg was pushed away, Deity's right arm sprung from his side in a quick, hard swing to Ecstuffuan's face, a stern shout erupting from his lips marking the loudest noise he'd made in any match so far. He aimed to blast his fist into Tres' left cheekbone, a little at an upward angle due to the path of his rotation. In any normal situation the punch would be seen a mile away, as it wasn't perfectly straight. It could be construed as surprising, though; it was strong, too, and would no doubt knock the man off his feet or at least get him away a moment if it landed. It'd probably knock an elephant over.
It wasn't flashy, but Deity hoped that the element of surprise would work to his favor. Getting a punch to the face so quickly - even if it was as hard as this one - wasn't always expected when common sense said there would be no immediate counterattack at all. If it didn't work, he really had no immediate plan for defense and thus would be rather open.::

Well if this man knew how much an elephant weighed, his strength was extremely impress. Though Tres not being surprised by anything any more merely reacted to the floating trick with a vein on top of his forehead beginning to seemingly swell as the hot annoyance swept over him. They had apparently put Tres in the ring with the GODDAMN SUPERMAN and Tres was not very happy about it.
The kind of punch would come towards his cheek bone, from his left side and not straight forward since the punch was not straight. Tres did not even hear the opponents mighty shout in his adrenaline rush. Tres's body would react naturally on its own without thought to the opponents body language that heralded the powerful blow.
He would make a snapping turn with his body, performing a hard block on his left side with his left arm. He would at the same time bend his knee's deep and sink his weight to remain stable and not get knocked off balance by the blows fierce power. The block would be reinforced by pressing the left arm elbow into the body and angling the arm outwards, allowing him to block the elephant quelling fist as if he was a mighty juggernaut. In the same motion his left hand would turn out after blocking and grab the forearm of the punching hand.
"RAH!"
Simultaneously Tres's right arm would come down in what seemed to be a hammer fist like blow with the fist and forearm across the opponents lower and middle torso. His right hand would grab onto his body or clothes, or whatever he could get ahold of. After the blow would make contact and the block would have been made, Tres would lean into the motion, leaning forward and placing his head close to the opponents lower body behind his right arm. Tres would use ever muscle in his body, his abs, his legs, his back, his arms, everything to explosively slam the boy into the ground beneath them in stark resistance to the boys flying power.
Tres was sure his perfect athleticism could overcome his ability to fly and make him eat ground. Tres wasn't planning on grappling but that didn't mean he couldn't throw this fucker around.

::Well that accomplished bupkis, he thought. What a sturdy fellow. There wasn't a terrible lot Deity could do to prevent being pulled down to the ground - Tres would find him a force to bring down, though. Deity was attempting to hover and as such he severely lessened the force of his thin frame slamming into the hot ground. That water bottle would've been crushed if he'd left it in the other pocket.
As he fell, though, he did his best to get his right forearm - captured though it was - as parallel to the floor as he could get it to better hasten his recovery. Likewise he grabbed the back collar of Tres' jacket with his free left arm - with his opponent essentially ducking underneath him before the throw, it wouldn't be hard to get a firm grip even if it was just his clothing. The last thing Deity did as he was brought down was pull his right leg in and press his knee to the abdomen of his opponent as he ducked. He'd have tried to use his boot instead, but the two were much closer now and Tres was moving down as he threw, so Deity had no room.
He'd hit the ground hard, but it wasn't a crippling attack; with any luck his right forearm could get to the floor as well. The impact knocked his scabbard for a loop, forcing the sword into a vertical (well, horizontal to be particular) posture along the length of his spine now. As he landed, assuming Tres remained on his feet and didn't crash down as well, the Orinian would roll slightly to his left, pulling and pushing respectively in that same direction with his left hand at Ecstuffuan's collar and his knee to his gut. The desired effect was more or less to throw Tres forward - over Deity and to his left - tumbling into a roll. Even if it succeeded Ecstuffuan wouldn't let himself get too far away, but it'd be long enough for the boy to return to his feet.::

After slamming the opponent, the opponent would attempt to roll Tres's by putting his knee in Tres's abdomen and pulling against his collar to his left. Tres would respond by posting his right hand out in front of him or to the opponents left while sinking his hips, completly stopping the attempt to roll him by making a brace and lowering his center of gravity beyond the opponents control.
Tres was still standing on his feet during this short grappling exchange. He would use this to shuffle over in swift a clockwise motion, turning his body more parallel to the opponents rather than perpendicular. This motion would put Tres in the 69 or north south position.

The bicep of his right arm would during this motion naturally push against the top of the opponents quad muscles on his thighs likely pushing his opponents feet to the ground, after which Tres would slide the right forearm to arrive across the opponents lower abdomen. His left arm would let go of the opponents right arm and move itself into a planted position at the side of the opponents left hip. His head would be against the opponents abdomen. He would be on his knee and not on his feet at the end of that motion.
Tres would then repeatedly knee the opponent in the head with his right knee, while using his weight to hold the opponent down. He would throw the knee's effectively while keeping his own head free from attack by the opponents knees by using a twisting and raising right hip motion to power the attack.
"HEY JUDGES, THIS TOO TECHNICAL FOR YA!"
He shouted out to the judges confidently.

::Tres was able to stay on his feet despite being pulled down and forward with Deity's knee keeping his lower body up. It prevented him from flipping over and allowed him to shift into a grapple position, which Deity really didn't want. Oh well.
As Ecstuffuan moved into the north south position, the boy responded by gripping two handfuls of his opponent's sturdy jacket just around his ribs; he grabbed more toward Tres' back than precisely at his sides. Once this was done he extended his legs as best he could while keeping his soles to the floor, which in turn left his knees up. He applied the trick that he had used in their prior match, which allowed his boots to in a manner of speaking become anchored to the ground. This gave him leverage that Tres' mere weight would have little influence over.
The Orinian held tight to the jacket and pushed firmly up (according to him), which would be an attempt to slide Tres backward along the ground. He added to this by pulling himself toward his own feet, bending his knees further. As he did this he also pulled downward on the jacket, keeping Tres low enough to keep his legs away. Even assuming the two both had firm holds on eachother, Deity's pushing against his opponent and holding him down would keep his own head safely out of knee-punting range as he attempted to pull thetwo apart.
If by chance the boy was able to pull himself far enough so that the two fighters could see eachother's faces at all, he'd lift one of his legs - his right - and snap it up toward Ecstuffuan's crown. Due to their posture his back and shoulder would also take most of the attack of the attack. If this landed properly the way it was intended, Deity would continue and kick moar.::

Tres didn't need to anchor his feet to the floor, because he had friction and good shoes on which would allow him to push forward as he felt the opponents hands grab onto his jacket in an attempt to push him away. Tres due to his strength would only need one foot to push in the opposite direction of the direction his opponent was trying to push him in, plus his weight, would put the current position in dead lock.
Also as the opponent began to push, Tres's left arm would grab around the inside of his opponents upper right thigh, giving Tres something to pull on.
Besides, the jacket was open and wasn't tight against Tres's body...all the opponent was doing was pulling the jacket lower on Tres's body and the jacket was ripped on the left side, so rather than the jacket being a good point to manipulate Tres's body on the left side, the jacket would simply rip instead of giving the opponent any control.
Tres's body was not the thing going up, and therefor would do little to keep his legs away. Tres's hips were the factor that allowed Tres to knee his opponent in the face, with his right knee, which he would still be doing all along. Tres's body would push down on the opponent to keep him from escaping while his hips (right side) would come up and smash towards the opponents skull.
While Tres's head would stay looking down at the opponents lower abdomen, because of his attempt at separating them failing, the opponents hypothetical thought of kicking his right leg up to Tres's face would be hard unless the opponent was really, really, flexible.
So yeah...
SMASH SMASH SMASH, went Tres's right knee.
"Oh, Oh,Smash I'm sorry, SMASH maybe me laying SMASH on top this guy SmASH! and beating his face SMASH! with my knee is too SMASH!! damn complex for you SMASH!!! people", Tres was obviously pissed about something.

::Upon finding that the jacket was ripping as he pushed it, Deity simply adhered his palms to Tres' sides the same way his feet were sticking to the floor. The ripping of the jacket lowered his hands just below his opponent's ribs, but he didn't have any time to reposition. As it was now, anywhere his hands went the flesh on his opponent's sides would come off before the grip was broken. All Spider-Man like.
Likewise not being a slouch, even as Tres continued to hold the position Deity continued to push him away and now to their right. He was able to see behind him and thus jerked Ecstuffuan in that direction as he saw the knee rise. If things went well he'd push his opponent too far away anyway, but he really didn't want any knee for supper. Tres'd end up losing his balancing to his right or kneeing the floor before he hit Deity's head.
Still the boy was pushing Tres and pulling himself away simultaneously. That said, the hand grabbing his leg stalled any progress on either end - it would be easy to unanchor his foot and thus remove the leverage Tres got from it, but then he'd probably try and break it something. The dude was mean like that. Also wasn't any point in escaping just to remain caught by the leg. The man wasn't much heavier than a human if at all and as such the strength of Deity's legs and his arms would find pushing him aside as simple as getting up. Only the hold on his leg was really hindering him.
With Tres' left arm up though, as Deity pushed away, down and to his right, he began to shift his hips to his left. He couldn't move too much due to the positioning of his boots, but if he could get himself onto his side he'd be able to push himself to freedom without needing to use his feet as anchors. That was, if Tres wasn't pushed away sooner, or...like...didn't turn into the Hulk or something.::
