Boiling Arena

Description: A pathway extends from each entrance way, allowing each fighter to walk to the center platform, walking over the firey coals below. Once you reach the center platform, the pathways extend back toward the doors, starting the match.

Due to the heat this arena gives off, the stands are given a heat-resilient transparent pane to look through for the audience, thus disallowing entry into the stands. But the ceiling is open to allow the heat to vent out. The ground is now scattered with hot coal being heated by a system underneath, making the temperature in the fighting ring at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit. The only best place to fight on would be the 50 yards diameter stone platform in the center of the ring, standing 6 ft from the ground. Though it isn't giving off heat that would burn your feet, the sheer warmth coming from it should be enough to show that even this platform is having a hard time resisting the heat around it. To help fight against the temperatures, each fighter is only given one 20 oz. bottle of water for them to use.

Ten Count Boundary: The only ten count boundary is going above thirty feet into the air. Thus, the entire fighting area is open, with the stands being restricted off by the pane of glass protecting the audience.

2Saphen

Saphen entered the smoldering wasteland known as the arena. Saphen did not change his clothing this time around and remained in all black, gloves, and mask. If he was sweating it was not evident due to the clothing but there was some logic to this. It might be hot but better for extreme heats to hit cloth then direct skin. If his body landed on the burning coals it would have some buffer to protect the skin rather then burn him instantly.

Saphen would look around for his new opponent but shrugged when he realized he was the first to enter. Every clacking step was muffled by the roaring flames. The bottle that Saphen was given was tied firmly to his waist and would remain there if need be. Saphen considered what song to play and what would best advance his advantage in this type of environment. Once he decided what would be best he rolled his mandolin around to the front and began playing.

As the song progressed the coals around the arena seemed to dance as he prepared for battle.
