Description: Located in an open-roof stadium is the ring where the first round fights will be taking place. The sound of wild cheering from the many fans that have congregated here fill the arena in a loud uproar as cameras zoom in on the action to broadcast the fights all over the world. The floor of the arena is a glossy hard floor with the logo of GTB painted in purple and pink upon the white sheen.

Field Measurements: The fighting area is a perfect circle with a 50 yard diameter. The walls that keep the fighters away from the spectators are raised up to ten feet.

Ten Count Boundary: The ten count begins whenever the fighter is knocked out of the bounds of the fighting area, such as into the spectator seats. The flying count out is also in effect, which means, if you stay above ground by your own will for more than ten seconds, you will be DQ'd.

Fight Ends: After 11:59 PM on Jun 22nd. That means when it becomes Jun 23rd, fights are over.

2Enigma20

As the crowd sat there waiting for one of the fighters to appear.....they would have to wait a little bit longer. As a few more minutes passed, the people in the crowd started to talk among themselves. Then all of the sudden music started to play over the speakers. I wanna rock! (Rock!) I wanna rock! (Rock!) I want to rock! (Rock!). That's right. It was a I Wanna Rock from Twisted Sister. The first I wanna rock went by and when the second Rock after the second I wanna rock came up, Archie jumped out of the entrance of his gate, companyed by smoke. The crowded went into a roar as he threw his hands up into the air and looked around.

Making his way out to the center of the arena, Archie looked cool. He bobbed his head to the song as it played and even some Twisted Sister fans started to sing out. This was Archie at his best. He was charismatic, cunning, and could sell ten bags of suger to a diabetic. Stopping at the middle of the arena, the song died down, but the crowd didn't right away. It seemed like Archie was the first to arrive to the battle. Which he was fine with. Wearing his normal get up, he had all his bells and whistles. Some of them would be hidden though while others, like his side handled batons, where not. He looked around ast he roar died down. Now, he would just have to stand there and wait.

3Lovely Longshot

The noise of the crowd died down, thousands of beady eyes centered on the door opposite of Archie's entrance. Every single breath in the stands was bated, hearts racing in the silence of the arena. After a few painful moments of anxiety, the door slid open, billowing with clouds of smoke.

As the smoke cleared, the crowd would notice that the one who came through the door was... no one! It was empty!

The audience went into a wild commotion, arguing amongst themselves. They came all the way out here and paid for overpriced tickets because they wanted to see a fight!

**"HA HA HA HA! WIPEOUT!"**

The crowd was caught astray as the speakers boomed with the Beach Boys, looking around confusedly. If that was a fighter's entry music, then where was the fighter?

A powerful western wind began to blow, making most of the audience hold onto their hair and hats. Something could be seen just over the top of the stadium.

"Up there!" a few in the stands shouted, and pointed to the skies.

It was Stella Gale, surfing over the tall west wall of the arena. Balanced to hang ten on the edge of a giant, open fan, she soared just over the heads of the crowd, skillfully riding her fan like a surfboard on the wind.

The crowd cheered and roared in excitement as she flew, quieting only as she began to descend to the stone arena below. Stella crouched on her fan to grab an end before sliding off onto the arena, across from Archie.

With a swing of her arm, Stella's fan closed shut, and she locked in the tiny surfing fin on it's underside. The blonde fae grinned as she looked at Archie, her ears wiggling with anticipation. Dressed in a cut-off blue shirt and jeans, she cocked her head back slightly, leaning on her 4-foot-tall fan.

"You ready to get this thing started, dude?"

4Enigma20

With the crowd failing silent, there would be a slight pause and then the sounds of another old but classic song filled Archie's ears. Wanting to almost dance a little, he held off the urge and looked over in the direction of the other fighters gates. The doors opened, smoke filled the air, and then there was......NOTHING? Archie stood there almost reaching up to scratch his head when he saw that there was no opponent there. Looking around, he saw that the crowd was as displeased as he was with this.

Finally, all of the sudden, a blast of wind filled the arena, forcing Archie to hold onto his hat. The wind whipped his trench coat up a little bit reveling a two foot black rod attached inside, but with his opponent surfing around on a giant fan, it would probably go unnoticed.

As she came to a stop on the arena floor, all Archie could really do first thing was clap. He loved a good show and was already thinking about what he might be up against. Looking across the gap between them, which was about 20 feet, Archie smiled and gave the lady a tip of his hat after she spoke. "Indeed I am. Lets give these people a good show." His voice was as calm and as charming as ever. He decided that he would start off with his batons. They were after all his favorite weapon. Reaching down with each hand, he grabbed onto the ends and pulled them up. Letting go for just a second, he grabbed onto the side handles. Spinning both batons in his fingerless gloved hands, he let them come to rest so that the longer part of the batons were parallel with his arms. Smiling he started to bounce on the balls of his feet, waiting for his opponents next move.

5Lovely Longshot

In the silent stillness that the arena had become, Stella's attention was taken by the lone clapping of her opponent. Gracefully, the Summer Fae bowed her head in thanks for his kind applause. Stella's own unique version of windsurfing seemed to be surefire appeal to the crowd.

While leaning on her fan with one arm, she rolled the opposite palm of her hand along her forearm, feeling the smoothness of the string of pearls that was wrapped around it. Stella had three of these long strings-- one on each arm, and one wrapped loosely around her neck. The smooth touch of the pearls seemed to calm the fae's brief nerves.

Enigma20 Wrote:

> "Indeed I am. Lets give these people a good show."

"Exactly what I was thinkin'," Stella answered, with a charismatic wink. Rolling back her shoulders and giving her chest a readied shimmy, the Fae's ocean-blue eyes were centered on Archie.

"Letting me have the first go, are you? Quite the gentleman," Stella commented, as she took a single side-step closer to her opponent. "Have at you, then!"

A charge! Stella took off directly toward Archie, holding her large Tessen Fan with both hands on her right side. Feeling the wind under her stride, Stella's heels hardly grazed the ground, bounding quickly from sole to sole on the balls of her feet. It seemed as if the wind was making Stella go faster than she was naturally able.

As soon as the end of her Tessen Fan would be in reach of his skin, Stella swung forward, sweeping with her closed metal fan from (Stella's) right to left, trying to bludgeon Archie from his left shoulder. She swung it as if it were a baseball bat, pivoting on her feet as she nearly slid by his side on the arena floor.

Damn this chick was fast. Or she at least gave the illusion that she was fast. Giving off a small smile, Archie started shifting his body from side to side, while still bouncing on the balls of his feet, looking like he was going to jump to the side, as his opponent ran. "Which way am I going, which way am I going." Giving off a small laugh it was time to make his move, seeing that she was making her own.

As the giant fan started to move Archie was starting a shift to his right, and with that a small correction would be made. Shifting his weight just enough, he would use the force of her blow to get him in front of her. As the swing came up, Archie lifted his left arm in the air with the baton still against it. BANG! The two objects hit each other.

Because Archie wasn't trying to force a stop, very little of the energy would actually transfer into damage. Instead it would simply transfer into pushing Archie in the path of his opponent. Digging his right foot into the floor, he stopped his moments for the most part. His body would still want to travel, but he would use that for power behind his attack. As his right knee bent, his opponent was right in front of him. "Hello love." Straightening back out his knee, Archie brought his right arm up in a hook type motion for his opponent's face. Of course if it hit there would be the added pain of having a baton smashed into her face since it was still against his right arm.

The two objects hit each other.

Stella's fan smashed abruptly against his baton, sufficing as a parry from Archie. He'd used the fae's own attack's momentum to place him in a suitable position to attack.

"Clever..." Stella murmured amidst their battle, keeping her strength behind her fan. She slid to a stop on the concrete, and was now met face-to-face with Archie. Stella kept her blue eyes focused on her opponent-- she dare not take them off.

He'd reared his arm directly in front of her, giving Stella very little time to react. However, it was enough to slide her right hand down the length of the fan (toward the top), keeping her left hand at the base. She raised her right hand, along with the fan, leaving the right side slightly higher than the left, which was about at (her) neck-level.

**"...But not good enough!"**

Stella's fan was both an offensive and defensive weapon, and she intended to use it as such. Pushing her fan with both arms, she took a step forward on her left foot, hoping to meet his hook-and-baton assault with the blunt force of her fan against his right forearm and the length of the baton.

Hoping that the force would knock him off balance directly in front of her, Stella kept her weight on her left leg, and reared her right knee slightly. Pivoting her hips to get a full rotation, Stella thrust her right leg up at his side, hoping to knee him in the ribs.

Archie smiled thinking that his attack would connect, but he had no such luck. Well at least with it connecting where he wanted it to. It would have seemed that his opponent was able to get the fan in the way on time. The push would active what she was looking for. However, the knee wouldn't follow up like she wanted.

Because of the last action Archie would have preformed, the hook attack, his left arm would have been behind him a little bit. The stumbling back caused his arms to move forward. Due to his arm not being at his side but behind it, it would come up to his side, just as the knee would have connected with his left side. The knee connected with part baton and part arm. This would cause some pain for Archie but would hopefully cause some pain for his opponent too.

The knee would do one last thing for Archie. Because of his slightly unbalanced state already, the knee would force him to stumble to the side and back a little in a more diagonal direction, with he didn't fight. Putting a little more distance between him and his opponent because of that, Archie got his footing back and smiled some. "Not bad. But the show is just getting started." He gave a small laugh and took a defensive stance now. Facing his opponent, he brought both his arms up keeping both batons parallel with his arms. He was now in a more boxing type stance waiting to see what his opponent would pull off.

9Lovely Longshot

Stella's knee rammed against the rod due to Archie's last-moment defense, sending a sharp pain through her knee. Keeping her fan in a protective position to defend herself if need be, she stumbled back a few steps, further separating the two fighters. Stella expected to see a bruise there later, but gathered that nothing was broken as she regained her balance.

> "Not bad. But the show is just getting started."

The fae was smirking wide, and twirled the large fan around her hand, making it shrink in size, to the size of a normal hand-held fan. "You betcha~," Stella hummed, with a wide grin on her face. Putting her fan between her lips, Stella's right hand dug into the pouch on the belt of her jeans, pulling out a small orb. Upon closer inspection, it appeared to have a wick at the top, much like a candle.

She raised the orb in the palm of her right hand, and raised her left hand to it. Putting her thumb and middle finger together, she snapped! Focusing her energy in her fingertips to use her Summer Spark, flames surged from the friction on her skin, like a blade striking a flint.

*FEEEEEEEE-EEEEEEEW!*

The string of the orb suddenly caught alight, and the orb began to hiss loudly! Gritting her fan between her teeth, Stella reared back on her right foot, before stepping forward with the left and chucking the smoking orb directly at Archie, as if she were pitching a baseball.

Directly after throwing the orb, Archie would be able to realize what it was within a matter of moments. It was a firework, a trademark of the Summer Fae. Stella loved how summer nights were alight with these incendiary treasures, and incorporated that into her display in the arena. However, being so close proved to be dangerous sometimes, and Stella took precaution by shielding her eyes with her arm, and turned her head away.

*KA-BOOM!*

The firework exploded promptly after hitting the ground, directly in front of where Archie was standing. The glowing sparks went flying in a grand explosion, so much light filling the arena that it was blinding.

Stella hoped that Archie hadn't gotten too injured... after all, there was still so much fun to be had. After the light died, Stella took the fan back into her hands, looking back into the smoke and sparks as they fell for any sign of Archie.

11Lovely Longshot

((So I blew up my opponent with a firework. That should mean I win.))

12Mr Shinjiko

Coming to the entrance of the ring was Tous Shinjiko. He wasn't alone, with eleven people walking in tow. Most were personal security, three were specially trained medics, and two others were mere media types under Tous' advisement. They'd stop as Tous made his way to the ring.

Standing at six feet and three inches tall, he wasn't terribly short. He weighed in at two hundred and twenty five pounds of near pure trained muscle. Tous wore a suit, simply black with a white undershirt and black vest. As he entered he'd remove the suit coat, exposing the vest and white shirt underneath. The coat was tossed backwards, being caught by one of his security. His eyes were covered by a fine pair of dark sunglasses, masking where his gray eyes were looking. His feet continued before they stopped about ten feet from the direct center of the ring.

On his left hip rested two katana. One of which was quite ordinary, with the other having a lot more detail to it as well as being a dark color. The latter was Shi, a blade forged in a lab out of a revised version of Damascus Steel; Ferrium C69. It was the top of the line; strength, durability and flexibility as well as a razor sharp edge that was hard to dull.

What should be noted was his concealed weapons. On the toes of his black boots he had the same metal, almost like a reverse steel toe. On his hands he wore a pair of half fingerless gloves, with again the same metal being imprinted into it. The metal in the gloves was laced into the knuckles as well as the back of the hand area.

What he did now was not any form of attack or stance. His form lowered as he unhooked Shi and its sheath from his side, laying it in front of him as he rested on his knees. This lasted for only a few seconds as he showed his respect to his weapon, only to allow his form to rise once more as the katana and sheath made their way back to his side.

He'd stand there, blocking out the crowd as he let everything around him register. At the same time, his form had already started to charge his spiritual energy. Though he stood in no obvious stance, he was indeed ready for anything. This was the beginning of the Kurō Hitokiri Style.

Charge: [x]

13Lovely Longshot

As the firework's glittering flames subsided, Stella noticed that her previous opponent had done nothing short of vanish. And in his wake stood another, whom the Fae could only gather was her true opponent. Subtly, she dipped her hand into the pouch near her hip. "So, Archie ran off with his tail between his legs, eh?" Stella said aloud, with an amused giggle. "Then let the fun begin again!"

Withdrawing another firework, Stella took the proximal space between them as an opportunity. Holding the wick to her thumb and middle finger, she made a loud snapping sound with her hand. Embers flew from her fingertips and caught the string that emerged from the firework, lighting the wick with her Summer Spark. Just as it had done previously with Archie, the firework began to smoke and hiss in her hand as she reared back to throw it.

*FEEEEEEEE-EEEEEEEW!*

Lobbing it high overhead, Stella aimed for it to fall directly in front of the dual-wielding swordsman, hoping to catch him in the burst as she had once hoped for Archie.

*KA-BOOM!*

Stella shielded her eyes from the blinding blast with her wide Tessen Fan, until the initial flash subsided. Afterward, she kept her trusted weapon at the ready for her next attack.

14Mr Shinjiko

Well now, this was getting the fight off with a bang eh? Tous himself remained rather motionless while the firework was in midair, instead of simply running off to the side. As Stella initiated, there was the tell tale 'click' from Tous' left side as he pushed that black katana a few centimeters outward. When the firework entered the radius of about five feet, there was another tell tale sound.

The sound now was the sound of the katana leaving the specially designed sheath. In the same motion, the blade was turned so that the edge was facing up and the slash continued right through the firework. The motion ended with the katana being replaced into the sheath once more.

It did not however stop the attack, it merely lessened it. As Tous split it in two, under his sunglasses a change happened. His eyes went from a lifeless gray to a swirling black. The eyes of a Shin.

KA-BOOM

Most would be blinded, Tous on the other hand was merely uncomfortable while he still had a lock onto his opponent in some way. Granted it wasn't perfect sight, it merely showed the distortion of energy put off by Stella's location, he could still 'see'. Though, this was not how he acted. In fact he acted like someone who was completely blinded by the firework.

Tous began to stumble forward, waiting...

Charge: [x][x]

15Lovely Longshot

Stella's eyes widened as her opponent stumbled, the glint in her eye shone as if it were the sun reflecting on the ocean. Pushing off on the balls of her feet, the Fae rushed forward, through the smoke and embers of the firework that were floating to the ground like smoldering feathers. Holding her fan against her right side, Stella charged forward, closing the proximal gap between her and Tous.

Feeling the wind under her heels, the Fae was concentrating her energy on sprinting forward. With that application, she summoned the wind behind her to make her go faster, making use of her Fae Step technique.

Just before she'd be within striking range of the stumbling swordsman, the Fae raised her knee higher in stride, creating an updraft with her energy. It was as if she used the wind as a step, pushing off of the draft to go upward. Once she'd taken two steps upward, she adjusted her trajectory with a jump, letting her torso drop and her legs rise to do a cartwheel (with no hands) directly over Tous.

Pulling with her left arm and pushing with her right, Stella swung her fan at her opponent just after she cleared his head above, trying to strike his skull and back with her Tessen Fan.

Stella, being proficient in acrobatics due to her limber structure and advanced control of the wind, landed on her feet facing Tous' back (should he still have been facing the same direction as previous), letting her knees absorb the shock of the landing. She recovered by holding her fan in front of her, and widened her stance to regain balance.

16Mr Shinjiko

What she wanted to do was grand, in fact it would work if Tous was actually impaired by her previous attack. Sure, in truth his normal vision was impaired, but with his secondary sight enabled, he saw the energy distortion around her body. This was seen within the smoke, within the flash, within the embers of the firework. Granted it wasn't a 'perfect' sight it was enough to see her.

So, as she ran closer, he'd allow it. At the instant she launched into the air there was action from Tous. The specialized sheath of his allowed for a quicker draw in close quarters, and in these moments it was a draw that was mastered. This spelled disaster for her, sadly.

His black katana was withdrawn from the sheath, turned so the edge faced up slightly and slashed upwards at an angle in the same movement. The point of this was when she was just getting airborne, about two feet off the ground. The destination of his attack was nothing vital, it was actually for her right leg which was closer to the draw.

This could dismantle her leg from the thigh down, possibly causing severe bleeding.

Charge [x][x]

17Lovely Longshot

Cheeky little bastard, wasn't he? Trying to cut her off as she stunned the crowd with her amazing acrobatics? Stella couldn't have that now, could she?

As the Fae began her ascent and witnessed the quick drawing of his sword, as well as the unveiling of his convincing play-acting of being blinded by her firework. "How very clever," she thought.

Stella was not stunned that his sunglasses had protected him from the light. However, she was genuinely surprised that the loud sound had created no auditory discomfort for him, and would later gather that he had not sustained any burns from being so close in proximity to the blast. Perhaps next time.

Anyway-- back to the action.

When Stella previously ran (as mentioned in post two, for reference), she had kept her long Tessen Fan on her right side, and was in an easily adjustable position for the Fae to defend herself-- especially from the right. Thus, Stella did nothing less than that.

Watching his sword be unsheathed, Stella maneuvered her fan in front of her leg (in the blade's path) and pushed against it, wishing to keep her limbs intact. That's all a girl could ever ask for, right?

WRONG.

Stella was the Fae of Summertime, embracing the season and everything about it-- fireworks extravaganzas, blazing heat and cooling winds, surfing, and especially the prized summer bikini. And Tous thought he could come in here and jeopardize Stella's prized bikini bodice?

AW, HELL NO. }:<

So what was in Stella's jurisdiction of things she could ask for? To have Tous be dragged off by his medics by the time this was over, for one. In a body bag, even, if she was lucky. But being modest, after all, she digressed.

--end fluff--

Seeing as he'd cut off her ascent before she could be able to get over his head, Stella opted for less of an acrobatic approach. If his sword liked the Fae's lovely legs so much, she bet his face would adore them. If his nose didn't bleed because of the opportunistic and lewd view, it would be gushing from her assault. She kept the sword at bay with her fan, for the moment.

Directly in front of him, she allowed the wind to subside, letting gravity and momentum carry her forward at Tous, raising her knee to collide with the center of his face.

Let's just say the least of his worries would be needing a new pair of shades.

Elapsed flight time: Approximately 3-4 seconds overall. Flight concluded.

18Mr Shinjiko

It seemed the fae forgot something. The reason he was unharmed prior. Shi, that magnificent black blade was five feet and five inches long, with a one foot long tsuka and a four feet and five inch blade. The firework only a four foot radius of explosion/fire. Not to forget it was sliced in half decreasing its radial damage. Semantics though. And at that point at most without previous indication of the strength of the 'boom' it would be less than a gunshot...

Knee to face may be a problem. Simply stand there and have to buy new shades? Forget that. Good thing Tous had two arms. As the knee came forward for his face, his left hand would ball into a fist and smash forward directly into her knee with enough force to cause the need for knee surgery. Remember his gloves, the ones with metal plating made from Ferrium C69. F. C69 is one of the strongest metals as well as one of the hardest, and it was hard to shatter. What was it? Scientifically engineered Damascus Steel on steroids. Considering her fan wouldn't block it because it was busy holding his weapon in place. That was merely his defense. She used no magic power to speed up said knee to face either.

As his fist collided with said knee, his right hand dropped the katana. This hand now moved, heading to lock into the side of her right knee (thumb at the back of the knee, fingers wrapped around knee). Upon grip, he'd expose his strength. His aim now was to dismantle her completely. His body twisted as he pulled her down while his left hand was now free. She had been more or less facing up at the beginning of the turn, but with the grip and twist she would end up facing upside down. The direction she would face at this point was backwards, and face down. The momentum of the turn would bring her along for a ride, as if she was now his sword in midslash. But the intention was to bring her to the ground, hard. The left hand found its way to the other katana on his left side. This katana had a blade of three feet.

CLANG - Shi, the black katana, touches ground

As all this happened, after the defensive strike that flowed into his attack that was still going within this small time frame, the left hand had moved from a smash to the knee to the katana, which was held in a devious scabbard that was attached to his side via a wonderful mechanism. The close range was not a problem for Tous. The blade was pulled outwards, his thumb closer to the top of the hilt of the sword. Though the scabbard had turned on its side. As the blade moved through the tunnel, it was met with a specific design. As it neared the middle of the scabbard, the scabbard would seem to bend the opposite direction. And when it neared the mouth of the scabbard, four inches before to be exact, it would be set free via the V shaped cut out that reached to the mouth. The unsheathing led into an attack that led over her back a small amount till the blade was tilted enough to slice across her back. Not through it, across it, to peel away the clothing and flesh.

If she couldn't avoid this, she was in for a world of hurt. Being slammed onto the hard ring with an immense amount of force aided by momentum and gravity, which would likely cause bone fractures or breaks if she was lucky. And lets not forget the 'scalping' of her back. None of this was lethal, he made an oath to not kill his opponents in this tournament.

Charge - [x][x]

19Mr Shinjiko

[.:] OoC: Just for clarification and the record. Yes, the sunglasses did help defend against the light, but it was not just the sunglasses. The eyes switched to a 'reverse heat vision' which picks up energy displacement around the opponent and of the opponent themselves. Giving a decent picture of where things are and such.

As for the radius... the blade of my sword is longer than four feet. Blast is only four feet. I cut the firework in half, lessening its power at best. As for the bang... as stated it at that point wouldn't/shouldn't be any louder than a gunshot. Out of the radius is why there were no burns too... kinda goes hand in hand...

Fae, if you need something explained just PM me. [:.]

((I couldn't find any description or dimensions of your equipment to go off of, but I pointed it out in case you missed the other effects of the firework, since you hadn't really mentioned them. Regardless, Stella would have noticed those things, since that's what she's supposed to look for.

However, if you've heard before... a gunshot is pretty loud. Range riflemen use earmuffs/earplugs to block that sound, too, because it's damaging to the ears. If you think that Tous has enough in him to bypass that sort of pain, then I'm in no position to tell you that he can't.

Although, your ability to be able to slice a 2-inch diameter projectile firework in midair is beyond me. I suppose it's not my place to say, however.

I'll do my best to make a post for you tonight, but I'm still on the shared computer, and I have plans for later this afternoon. I'll write when I can.))

[.:] You never stated the power of the bang, and yes a gunshot is loud and yes I've shot guns before. I could be a dink and say its the sound of a .22 which is barely anything to get hurt by in terms of sound. I didn't ignore it, you just didn't explain and I can only go off what you post.

I'm sorry its beyond you, but its possible. You didn't say if you threw it like a fastball, or a curveball or simply lobbed it. A lobbing throw is more or less what I went with, and the fact that hitting a small object isn't impossible is why I did what I did. If a small rock can be hit by a thin stick in mid air, A 2 inch item could be sliced in two... and its gaia... a mixture of reality physics and anime physics.

Again, my PM box is always open. [:.]
