Joe’mante Avaraje started off slow, connecting punches into Jamal’s guard with an off-beat and random rhythm. It would be hard to read and if Jamal was to try to throw a punch and guess wrong, Joe would punish him.
But somewhere down the line, in this hallmark of what could be an amazing finish.
There was a tempo, there was a rhythm, and there was a chance that Jamal could attack back and force Joe off.
That was if he could get past a barrage of bullets. Faster and faster Joe’mante went, his arms working like the pistons in race cars. He smashed hard, powerful fists into Jamal’s forearms with a relentless zeal, as if a beast had finally awaken and was allowed to roam free. That side in every fighter that wanted to throw caution to the wind and beat their foe down with the truth.
What was a blur to the crowd was a torrential downpour of punches at Jamal’s guard, trying to break it apart and find an opening. Soon enough, it would slip in or find a beaten crack to smash and pulverize Jamal’s head with. It might not be as often or frequent, but it would occasionally happen based on how tight Jamal’s guard was or if he risked throwing a punch, underestimating Joe’s attacking speed.
But there were always those once and a lifetime chances that Jamal could pick up the rhythm of these speedy and hellish punches. It could happen in any fight and it was the reason why most professionals would pound with an off-beat rhythm, so they could negate the chance of being countered. Jamal may look like a novice, but no fighter should ever be doubted, especially in tournaments. When it seemed like the most likely time for an unlikely reversal.
Joe gritted his teeth, huffed out his nostrils, and went even faster!
His eyes shined orange. The air would part and friction would decrease between the space of Joe’s fist and Jamal’s body – specifically the head if left unguarded. At the same time, the air that was moved to allow Joe’s fists to increase rapidity, were transferred into mini-bubbles that surrounded the knuckles. Cushioning Joe’s knuckles from breaking while bursting on contact the moment they strike Jamal’s flesh, doubling the power of each punch in Joe’s relentless pounding storm.
Anyone viewing it from the stadium would feel the rush of excitement at this mind-distorting craziness. Joe could have been a Gatling Gun fired dead into Jamal’s upper-torso. His air manipulating fists sounded like tiny explosions each time they hit, adding to the nature of Joe’s merciless attack.
It was as if the Joe that had entered this fight and had fought Jamal before this point, was not the real Joe. It could possibly be this blazing, blitzing, rampaging black skinned monster.
Then, at some point, like a flip of a switch, Joe stopped on a dime. Sweat poured down his body in long streams and beads. His breathing was ragged and his arms were trembling from going so fast. He looked gassed out, as if he ran a couple one-hundred meter sprints non-stop. He stayed in that position, straddling his opponent’s waist while he viewed the damage that had been dealt upon Jamal.
Once it seemed appropriate, Joe would get up. If anything, Joe made sure he didn’t beat Jamal to death – probably close to it but he didn’t go that far. He would have to pray this did not wreck the man for life.
But in all honesty, Joe felt good from breaking out of his parameters and opening the floodgates. He was not out here to hurt people, but he was not the person to be messed with. He was a human weapon of Air, Chi, and Martial Arts. He was Joe'mante Avaraje, a young son of a gun here to test his mettle.
The crowd would roar so loud it felt like the air was trembling and the stadium was rocking with madness. The audience was livid with chaotic and ecstatic energy from a spectacle so thrilling, each viewer might have felt their hearts trying to beat as fast as Joe's fists. It was jaw-slacking, eye-popping, mind-exploding exceptional display.
