Description

The fighters are taken by plane to a place called Estella, a tourist spot where people are taken on explorations of the ancient city whose ruins are scattered across the forest that rests around them. The old civilization of Estella is known for being a city that was once ran by the magic of a water spirit. However, it was theorized that through some unknown event, the magic disappeared, making all of the city’s technology obsolete, and thus ending the legacy of a place ahead of its time. The old city may have lost its superiority, but Estella is still a beauty that others enjoy; from the lush greens of the forest trees to the sparkling crisp of the running waters around Estella, it is a living testament of nature’s splendor. The other thing that Estella is known for is the secret ruins found to the east by archeologists years ago in the forest of Everlive (live as in “alive”).

The next round’s fight takes place in a side venue located next to a series of running waterfalls, the sound of rushing streams creating a relaxing ambience to an already serene scene. The running waters move down among over-cropping rocks that outline the exterior of this flat rocky floor, creating a layer of water that is constantly moving across the ground. Not enough water to hinder movement, but every movement is likely to create a splash here and there. Unless the fighter wants their shoes filled with cold water, they are better off removing their footwear if it isn’t insulated. The rocks differ in sizes from small to large, with the northern edge of this area pointing toward the mass of waterfalls that populate this part of the forest.

Spectators are able to watch from a balcony, which is essentially a cliff with guard rails around it. A referee sits aside on jutted rock in the normal black stripped uniform, keeping watch over the proceedings, ready to leap in at any needed moment. And two cameramen are positioned around the area: one on higher ground, and another also on a rock platform closer to the fighting arena to watch from a closer view. Despite this, neither of these officials will be in the way for the duration of the match.

Field Measurements

The fighting area is the flat ground, which has a span of thirty feet in diameter. This is big enough to allow for more agile people the space to move around, and yet still gives a smaller space to let melee fighters have an easier time to corner their opponents.

Ten Count Boundary

Because of the nature of this arena, it is easy for someone to make use of the rock boundary that runs around the arena. Because of that, anytime someone gets on top of it to use it as an additional moving ground, it begins the ten count. In addition, running water is moving over them, so it makes any kind of travel along them harder, if not giving a good chance of slipping and hitting your head due to the water and uneven rock. Sustaining flight at least five feet above ground also starts the ten count.

Bonus

There seems to be a hint of magic flowing through these waters, and seems to be flowing passively into your body every post. For those who can make use of it, after you have made at least four posts in the fight, you are free to make use of this magical enhancement to increase an ability by one charge, or the equivalent of this, anytime after. In general terms, it gives your ability a significant boost in potency. Or, for physical fighters, you feel a slight pick up in physical performance, so it allows you one physical maneuver that is increased in power/ speed. This bonus only applies after you have done the normal preparation procedures your ability requires. It does not reduce concentration or effort.

You can only use this bonus one time in the entire fight.

Marx hopped into the arena with a light splash. Having removed his sandals when he saw the first sign of water, Marx sighed happily with the calming water flowing over his toes. It felt nice.

As a matter of fact, the trip itself, and the few hours before the fight itself, were calming as all get out. The sweet venue had a wonderful calming effect, to anyone who walked through the smallest portion of the vacation resort. Marx could absolutely feel the Prana rushing around! The magic energy was attracted to areas of high emotion; meaning places where emotion could coagulate, prana coagulated with it. Marx was almost too happy with the feeling the air gave him, the energy it had flowing through it.

He had a wide smile on his face, and he absolutely beamed. The healers had done a wonderful job fixing his body up, and he had provided help with the fractured rib that the rock had landed him. Marx was not only in a wonderful place, but he felt top notch! The Djinn couldn't be more confident in the coming battle. No matter who his opponent was, unless they were a water elemental, Marx knew this was in the bag!

3Patcharoo

"Oh this is just a fucking fix," 'Sassin bitched the moment she saw her opponent, determined to let him know just what she felt about the whole thing. "Firstly, water?" She gestured to her foot, where her metal boots kept her slightly elevated and out of it, but unfortunately soaked. She had no idea if this would ruin her boots boosting through some sort of weird interaction, but there was something much more important to deal address.

"I hatewater. And that's not to mention the lack of grip metal gives to you!" Speaking of which, she was already metal-morphing spikes to her shoes. "And is it just me or is this place smaller than the last two?" A small splash of water caught her face, prompting her to backpedal to the edge of the arena and shake her head vigorously. Fortunately her full length ninja garbs protected the five foot cat from getting wet.

A female cat, yes, but not a 'catgirl' or 'neko'. She was a complete furry, head to toe covered in white fur, paws and claws underneath those metal gloves and boots. Opposite to Marx in terms of location in the arena it was difficult to notice the small bulge hidden along the right wrist of her clothing. Other than that, her only other weapon appeared to be a metal fan at her waist.

4YummyBiscuits

Marrx raised an eyebrow. To say the least, a shouting female cat wasn't the opponent the Djinn had been expecting. What good was a cat going to do against a skilled swordsman? The only problem the Djinn could see in the coming battle, besides the obvious weapons in the cat's form, was the things agility. Nevertheless, Marx would hone in on the cat, and his eyes narrowed with that killer instinct.

" Hmm, can't say much about the place. " Marx remarked, before kicking the water idly. " Just your bad luck, and my advantage. " He would seethe with a smirk. Marx was going to capitalize upon every advantage he could get. That last fight was much too close, and he wasn't going to let something like that happen again.

With a subtle shifting of his stance, Marx dropped his hand towards the blade at his waist. His left hand grasped the handle, before pulling the blade out. It had been repaired at the blacksmith's, and was once again at it's top form. Much like it's master. Marx shifted his right foot along the top of the water, before planting the foot, and creating a solid foothold. His left hand raised above his head, pointing the curved blade so it was almost horizontal with his shoulders. He had prepared a stance, and waited for his opponent's reaction. There wouldn't be any foolish running this time.

5Patcharoo

"No seriously, are you even paying attention? Actually, nope, I bet this is all your doing. You've probably slept with the judges. And the ref. Actually-" Paranoia pinged in her brain "-Hey, doesn't that seem a little suspicious to you?" She raised her right hand to point for the referee overhead, apparently completely unconcerned about the 'fight'.

"Seriously. Did you even see a ref in the first or second round? Why are we getting watched now? Are they afraid we're going to punch below the belt? Or like... The Camera men won't catch an illicit use of a weapon or something?" She scrunched up her face behind her mask.

"You get that this is suspicious, right? You're not going to ju- Oh forget it I can't trust you.Hey Ref!" She raised both arms to wave now. "Hey! asshole! Why are you here! Are you worried we might accidentally fight dirty in an anything goes fight?!"

6Vintrict

The referee rose an eyebrow. He was just a man trying to do his job so he could go home to his wife who was the god of the moon and make sweet, sweet love to her as she calls him daddy.

"We are to remain here in case of severe injury. That is all. Other than that, you are allowed to do as you pleased."

The referee then disappeared. He was still there, but she wouldn't know. The more she stalled the fight, the more it may count against her.

7YummyBiscuits

Marx rolled his eyes. Now, the cat was being completely ridiculous. The cat needed to just deal with it, or she would really get it. They were in the middle of a battle for Pete's sake!

Marx used the moment when the cat was yelling to begin stepping forwards. He circled as he approached, putting the cat's back closest to the edge. With their positioning, the cat would be possibly five feet away, and Marx would be within ten feet when the referee did his little disappearing act. It was time to strike.

Marx shuffled forwards quickly, crossing the distance quickly, and coming within three feet of the cat within a few seconds. As he neared, the blade lowered, before drawing into a shallow chop towards the smaller cat's body. He hoped to give no appearance that he would strike then, and then use the light blade to quickly slash towards the cat with a quick strike around the thing's midsection,

8Patcharoo

When the man moved within ten feet well that sent off alarm bells much much much worse than the ref. That was within her 'kill-range' prompting her to turn sharply, plant both feet into the wet ground and swing her right arm diagonally downwards, launching the concealed viper head attached to a slim ten-foot chain spooled up her wrist. Aimed for the left shoulder, the fanged snake head would bite down and latch on at impact.

"Back off," 'Sassin suddenly called out, bending her knees slightly in preparation to get the hell out if her viper chain failed. Specifically the boosts of her boots would kick into gear, giving a small pulse to work with her own jumping power to launch herself sideways, a lateral dodge moving in the same direction as Marx's strike, which would take her away from it as he swung. She couldn't really afford to back up this close to the arena limits, and he had a sword. She was pretty outclassed if this came to a melee.

9YummyBiscuits

[Assuming that you dodged to your character's left, which is my character's right ]

As Marx approached, he swung laterally, knocking the approaching chain away from his body. It had been aimed at a spot very close to the edge of his body, so, while a dodge would have been quicker, he was able to stay direct in his attack. The chain would slam into the watery ground with a splash.

He swung quickly, only for the cat to dodge sideways. Marx grit his teeth, planting his feet solidly before twisting his body to the right. His sword flashed like a sliver of light, aimed to intercept the cat mid jump, and spear it through the midsection by preempting the jump somewhat prematurely. A wild smirk broke across his face.

10Patcharoo

Her left fist descended, body tilting forward to throw her curled hand into a rough mash aimed at the nearest edge and center of the blade. Her full weight was aimed to guide the blade down from the front. A normal hand would suffer greatly, both from the physical impact of flesh on metal and the risk of getting split open by the blades edge. But fortunately for 'Sassin she wore robo-gloves, which would at worst be scratched or dented. Of course this would mean her weight was currently aimed forward, and as two feet touched ground she would be slightly hunched towards Marx, head fairly exposed. With her current stance she would not be able to quickly move her feet without re-balancing herself.

With Marx right in front of her she relied on an old trick, warping her snake head into something more practical, specifically an oversized fishing hook and as long and half as thick as an index finger, though lacking the barbs a fishing hook would normally sport. And with that she jerked her right hand backwards, hoping for the hook to embed itself into the back of Marx's ankle. It could easily be a debilitating blow if it hooked deep.

11YummyBiscuits

Marx was somewhat surprised with such a block. Most fighters wouldn't even want to get close to a blade. And with the way the cat hand landed dirtily, it left her open for attack.

Marx pressed forwards in attack, while the cat jerked her hand back. Marx lifted his blade slightly from the blocked position, slashing towards the exposed portion of the wrist where it met the paw. Since there was no veritable defense set in order, and Marx's blade was light and quick, the blow could easily land, and pop that sucker off.

Marx had failed to notice the chain being metal morphed, and as a consequence, got what was coming to him. The hook tore across the back of his calf, tearing into the skin, before the jerking motion ripped through his skin completely. Roaring in pain, Marx was forced to take a step back, before quickly looking to the wound and back to the opponent. It wasn't a cry deep would, because the hook had only been pulled with one arm. It was only a little more than skin deep, and wouldn't impede the Djinn's fighting ability too much. But gods! It hurt!

Judge Ruling

In terms of what Patcharoo claimed, I agree that due to the rapid movement of both of your characters. Yummy will indeed not be able to hear the tell tale sign of the chain moving through the water considering the myriad of noises already surrounding them both.

HOWEVER, at the same time, Patcharoo's use of his character's metalmorph ability just to animate his weapon is not viable with the way his character uses its ability.

This is its description:

Quote: Wrote:

> The ability to warp and change the shape of any metal 'Sassin is touching. This extends to any metal touching metal that 'Sassin is touching and so on.

We as judges, having both read and seen it in action, justify that this ability is used as more of a changing of shape. It shouldn't allow for delicate movement such as allowing your chain to suddenly animate like a snake and snag for a limb. That goes outside the use of the ability and you should edit that. Now, I wouldn't mind the ability being used this way, but it would require at least a post of standard concentration, and your character is currently not in the situation to try to make her chain act in this manner. You were probably better off pulling it in and trying to have it catch the back of his foot or something, but nothing as detailed as letting it conveniently clasp onto his ankle. Simplest way I can see that happened is if she was low on the ground and was pulling it. Using metalmorph, your character could erect a blade and have it snag onto a limb. Standing where she is, it'll just follow her pull path and hit somewhere around the calf or thigh area of Marx.

But this is where it gets even more unfair because your character is using her metalmorph ability in an intense situation where she's getting swung at by a sword. She wouldn't have the concentration to even use the ability effectively. The only way I would allow it is if she decided to sacrifice any notion of defense, took the sword strike and spent all her concentration on her ability. Then she could morph her blade and attempt to hit some part of the back of his legs. However, from a combot sense pov, that would be a very bad trade on your part. Yummy can just do what he wants with a blade through her body.

Therefore, my judgment is that Patcharoo must edit his post, for use of that ability in that way is not in the confines of his ability's acceptance in the tournament. At the same time, however, Yummy will not be able to "hear" the counter attack. He chose to attack Patcharoo's character head on after knocking away the chain. Instead of biding caution to "Maybe that thing can be used against me even after I deflected it", he committed to the attack, and so he must reap the consequences of his actions. Keep in mind that Patch's character is just landed from the air, so she has two options to take in the edit of his post:

1) Sassin struck her full weight into a sword with her hands, so her twist is going to throw off her fall and have her take a sloppy landing. Cats always land on their feet, but the narrowness of the situation is too slim for something that perfect at this point. This will delay her action of pulling her chain back for an improvised attack, which would give Sassin a chance to attack her from her down position, though keep in mind, he either chooses to attack her prone position and be prepared for a back attack, or he hesitates in fear that she has something up her sleeve and holds back. Either way, this exchange is going to decide both of your logic scores depending on how you react. It's not so much how you do it as much as, taking all of this into consideration, if it's believable to the judges.

Or 2) Sassin does land perfectly. But her effort in landing so puts a delay into being able to attack back, meaning Yummy has the opportunity of attack before she can even try to use that back snag trick (once again, she won't be able to animate anything).

The choices between them is whether Sassin wants a ground or standing position, and whether she wants to focus on offense or defense. Marx has possession of a light blade, so he can attack successively as long as his blade isn't locked down. That is my decision. Patcharoo, edit then inform your opponent.

13YummyBiscuits

I've edited my post to coincide with the new post.

14Patcharoo

'Sassin wasn't able to escape the blade in time, catching it along her arm with a hiss from her mouth as it slashed through clothing and fur which provided little protection to her flesh. Blood was drawn and with the blade above her arm there was little room to push forward and move. But she was far from out.

At such a close range she could be utterly deadly. Hell, she was an assassin wasn't she? She lifted her left foot slightly and pushed it back down to jolt her body back upright to regain her balance and simultaneously went for a push pull strike.

Her right hand, still with the chain and hook embedded in Marx's calf, pulled sharply towards her once more, body turning to the right to wrench it hard with her arm moving behind her body. And at the same time the turning threw her left side forward, left fist aimed right for the throat of Marx, aiming for his windpipe to crack or break it. And with a metal glove that could easily be achieved.

Edit: Due to the confirmed positioning of the sword I couldn't go through with my initial attack.

To be clear, an issue has come up, so please do not dock me for lack of posting.

Judge Ruling

Patcharoo chose to have his character land on her two feet, metalmorph her chain, and proceed to catch Marx's character in the back of his leg. Meanwhile, Yummy's character is going for a second attack. In the timing of things, Yummy's character would be faster with every action taken into consideration, and thus, Patcharoo's character is subject to the attack at her arm. Considering these are gauntlets his character is wearing, we can assume the wrist is mildly protected, so the sword slash at it wouldn't do any good. However, your character is logically more likely to attack the unprotected part of her arm, so I will rule that Yummy attacked Sassin's forearm just past the glove, and gave her a good gash. This will basically make the attack at Marx's leg obsolete.

Due to the lateness of this ruling, this fight will get two extra days of length.

17YummyBiscuits

Patch may want to edit the reaction post, so I will leave it open for him to continue.

18Patcharoo

Done.

19YummyBiscuits

[ I'm assuming Sassin is normal human height, because this is how you've seemed to play it out in the last post. if im wrong, just tell me. ]

The hook hadn't done more than go skin deep, before the tug had initially broken through the skin on Marx's calf. A this tug did nothing more than bring the chain beneath her body, and keep Marx somewhat separated from his enemy. Marx quickly took note of the separation, hardly more than five feet between them. " Perfect. " He said inwardly. It was the perfect striking range for the light blade.

Marx moved to his left, where the punch was coming from. By doing this, he came on line with the opening Sassin had presented; her torso and armpit. Quickly, aiming more for speed than damage, Marx slashed his blade horizontally for Sassin's armpit, in the hopes of bisecting the tendons underneath the arm, and making it much more difficult to use the arm overall. Marx was truly the type of fighter to whittle away at his opponent, until the time came that their defeat was imminent. The last two fights proved that explicably, with the first K.O. , and the second round's damage dealt. It would be how Marx handled this fight just as well, and how he would win it.

20Patcharoo

Apparently Marx was immune to the pain and imbalance of having a hook in your calf violently tugged on, but his movement left also somehow dodged her punch. The blade easily severed the opening under her arm, where she had no defences of which to speak of. But that was okay, she decided it was time to not focus on worrying about getting damaged. They had an infirmary for that. No she was going to do everything within her power to try and win the fight.

Somehow, turning to the right and pulling further backwards had also put her chain beneath her own body, because that's what happens when you pull backwards.

In one deft movement, reeling in pain from the cut to her armpit, she returned in kind, jerking her right hand inwards, fingers held flat as she unleashed a Razor Wind, a little bit of razor sharp magic with a range of ten feet that would utterly fuck up anything it touched that was not metal. And as Marx currently had his sword over to her left side there was almost no way he could block this attack, which was aimed for his entire left side, looking to slice clean through flesh to bone where it would meet something worth resistance. Due to the short range of less than five feet there would be little to not time to react or dodge.

She aimed for waist to shoulder in a slightly angled motion, to account for the fact his two-handed weapon style would have his hands leaning over to HIS right, leaving their outsides exposed. At the same time this sharp upwards motion would jerk violently on the hook in his lane, tearing flesh further from being wrenched in multiple directions. After all, the hook was the size of an index finger. It was hardly a fishing line. The damn thing would be quite literally ripping flesh from bone.

But as the chain was beneath her, it caught her leg. So she went, "Well, fuck it all, might as well throw it in at this point," and raised her leg up in a mighty cunt punt of doom for between Marx's legs, where her Razor Wind wouldn't hit.

21YummyBiscuits

[ i made points of a few things, that you'll make note of in this post particularly. Youre slightly mistaken. ]

Marx had attacked from his left side, since he was obviously left handed. The thing, one handed weapon, held in that single left hand, was quickly raised with a sneer by the swordsman to cut up an odd wind attack launched from the close range. The light weight composition of the weapon easily allowed Marx to follow up with a quick horizontal chop, bisecting the attack cleanly, and saving Marx from any further punishment in that regard.

The jerking motion on the chain didnt do anything to Marx, since it was it hadn't done more than tear through his flesh, leaving a torn and bloody gash. Marx took quick advantage of the Cat's movement, and the distance at which they were operating.

Marx's initial attack was away from his body, towards his left. The follow up chop had brought the blade back across his body, which in turn allowed him to slam the pommel of his blade towards Sassin's rising knee. God this cat was easy to follow.

22Patcharoo

'Sassin's leg descended back down to the ground, now with a bruised thigh as she pushed forward, another step towards him as her raised right hand swept sharply to the left in an open palmed strike, which would bring the chain in Marx's leg over the top of his sword-arm, which was lowered to halt the kick.

And with a metal glove a slap to the face would hurt more than a normal punch or fist. It could easily split lips and shatter bones. But hey, if anything she was obviously still trying to avoid the 'no-kill' rules, because she wasn't metal-morphing it into a knife.

23YummyBiscuits

Marx moved quickly the second that Sassin had looped her chain over his blade. While she took the time to do that, Marx reared his arm back, and launched the hand guard of his blade towards his opponents jaw. It was a stiff, quick jab that packed more power than one would assume his lean form could produce. She had left herself wIde open there, qnd marx jumped on the opening quickly. It entirely preempted the palm to the face she would attempt, and leave her open for a counter, just like she had a moment ago.

The thought of her being an able adversary had left the Djinn's mind at this point.

He replied in turn. He jerked his arm back, while moving his left foot back as well. This separated the sword from the chain with a jingle of metal. While he did This, his right hand would punch outward in another stiff jab, once again aimed for the feline's open jaw line.

24Patcharoo

'Sassin was damn flexible, so when she saw the incoming strike, going from her leg height which would have been waist at highest up for her jaw she rocked her body backwards to let the jab pass harmlessly into the air. This would pull her slap out of range of Marx's face, but the chain would probably still loop over the blade and or arm.

And then she dropped, downwards and backwards onto her left elbow, which ensued a hiss of pain as she kicked sharply with her right leg for his left, aiming for the shin to remove his balance by kicking it backwards. As her body fell backwards she would also keep grip of the chain with her right hand, which would put the entirety of her falling weight into the hook in Marx's leg.

25YummyBiscuits

[ Sent a PM in the hopes of confirming that the chain was not inMarx's leg. I made a point of that a few posts back, so I will not mention it here. ]

The bad thing about looping a chain over a somewhat straight object, was that it could easily be reversed. Marx simply let his blade angle downwards, tugging the chain from it's long and slender profile.

Since Sassin had fallen onto her left elbow, it buckled easily. It would be anatomically impossible for one to put that much weight and the force of a fall on an arm who's underscoring tendon's had been neatly sliced beforehand. Since he had not only shifted his leg back in the hopes of a reply attack, the kick didn't come anywhere close to his left leg.

Marx couldn't think of a better position. He had a sword in his hand. He was skilled in it's use to the point of commanding this fight. And even better, his opponent was on her back, and had stuck her leg out for him! How kind of her!

Marx swiftly chopped down and away from his body, aiming the edge of his lace to dig deeply into the meat of the cat's right thigh with a rising slice.

26Patcharoo

Her right hand slapped down onto the top of her thigh with the palm upwards, racing the blade to get there. She was relying on the robo glove to be tough enough to wear it, though damage from this blow would be noticeable in a neat line over the hand, as she would try to lift to redirect the blade away. Her knuckles would be quick to fold over the weapon to grip it.

At the same time her right boot flopped sideways on top of her own chain which was still just lying all over the place. And this would be accompanied by a manic stare from the bleeding kitty and the utterance of, "Miao."

27YummyBiscuits

The nature of Marx's slice pulled the blade from Sassin's hopeful grip. Marx grit his teeth in irritation. That was definitely bull shit; bull shit he wasn't going to have. He shifted his right foot back to give himself better leverage, and get it out of the way of a counter.

Marx immediately followed his strike up with a swift chop towards the Cat's left leg once again. Instead of aiming for the thigh, the shallow slice was aimed for the shin she had left wide open. She hadn't even moved her left leg, or tried to move away. No, she sat there, so he could whittle he away.

The quick blow would hold crushing force, more than able to tear through flesh, cut through the bone, and cause quite a bit of damage. Marx knew cutting the leg off there would be too much in this situation. The slice wouldn't cut through the leg, but disable it to the maximum.

28Patcharoo

A hiss escaped her lips as the blade pierced her flesh, slicing cleanly through to the bone of her shin, which fortunately provided limited protection to valuable tendons and muscles underneath. Her body rocked up and forward, upper half easily moving to a sitting position as she shifted her right boot back upright, now attached to the chain, but subtly below Marx.

"Come down here and give me a hug," she snarled as her right hand grabbed out, aiming for the wrist of Marx this time.

29YummyBiscuits

Marx's slash had brought his blade away from his body. But he had overlooked something. It left his wrist wide open! Once again, the threat of a wrist lock came up in his fight.

Marx growled, before barking out a guttural " No! " before using the movement he had created a moment before to rip his arm back as finger tips grazed across his skin. He was not going to let that crap happen again! He was tired of people trying to take his sword out of the equation. It would not happen this time!

His right hand batted the gloved hand away, trying to throw it closer towards the center line of the cat. That way, in her pain induced daze, she would have her right arm across her chest. His left arm lifted, angling the blade up, before shallowly chopping towards the prone sitting figure. The slice would be aimed for the arm itself, ready to neatly break across the wide open flesh of the tricep, and around the bicep. Since this was a shallow chop, it wouldn't go more than muscled deep, barely reaching the bone if it tore that deeply.

30Patcharoo

[As they're mutual right arms I'm confused how Marx's right is batting the hand towards her centre, unless you mean away from the grab aimed at his left hand, which was slashing her left (his right)]

This time she was well-prepared. Having taken careful time to prepare her metalmorphing she lurched her foot upwards, right boot kicking to send the hook flying and miraculously curving for between Marx's legs in a wide sharp arc for his neck. With the chain being five foot long from her sleeve, it would easily by six or seven feet extended past her foot.

And with a careful manipulation of the metal, bending it inwards with the momentum kicked up by her foot, the sharp index finger hook was now aimed with surprising force for the back of Marx at neck height. Failing that, it would probably hit his shoulder or collar bones.

Now she drew her hand sharply downwards and inwards to backhand the blade, drawing her arm very close to her chest, so that it was all but pressed against it.

31YummyBiscuits

[ She would have to cross her right arm in front of her chest, and across Marx's body, in order to reach his left wrist. By using his right arm, he would palm the area near Sassin's elbow in this case. ]

Marx shifted quickly the second her foot extended to throw the chain. It went in between his legs, but it was low. His right foot lifted, and slammed down on the chain, stoping it short. Instead of digging into his flesh, the blunt side of the hook slammed into the small of Marx's back without much force. It sounded with a solid thunk, forcing a small sound from the Djinn.

He wouldn't trust the chain one bit. His foot kicked forwards, dragging the chain against the ground before it once again pressed down, squeezing the hook under his foot. It took less than a second really, and with a dazed and expectant opponent, he didnt expect there to be any time to metal morph it once more. Marx kicked out, dragging the chain forwards once more. It would force the heavy hook towards Sassin's chest, allowing him to thunk her in the chest.

He prepared a to slash towards her midsection again, tensing the muscle of his left arm. He would be ready to react.
