THE CAGE

In the Underground world of illigal streetfighting, warehouses host brutal fights in cages for those seeking bloody entertainment and are willing to place bets. The competitors of HoH are brought to one such warehour and placed in the cages to fight.

Cage Size - 20ft from one end to the other, 20ft up, open top lined with barbed wire.

Terrain

General - Hexagonal shaped cage encloses the fighters, Spectators outside of the cage

Weapons - None

Natural Element Resource - None

Bonus Effects - No striker assists permited in this location due to closed off cage

2Supreme Jerk Commander

Some random janitor sweeps the cage in the middle of the night.

3Supreme Jerk Commander

Dashs eyes were focused upon his foe. It would be a mere second before his attack would collide.

What? FAST!

His target had moved, Dash altered his trajectory, but he simply could no longer track his target.

Pain? EVERYWHERE!

Boom boom BOOM! His body tenses as his aura counteracts the extreme forces his opponent started to unleash. It may buckle, but it holds. Thats not to say Dash doesnt feel it.

Hang in there Dash, times almost up.

The intensity of the forces only seem to increase, but Dash remains firm, his red aura now begins to react violently to the sudden bombardment of energies.

These feelings: sadness, suffering, murder? These arent my thoughtsare they? NO!

A new series of attacks would strike at Dashs very mind, but he wouldnt allow it. He struggled hard to resist, rejecting these foreign thoughts that would seek to corrupt him. Now his entire being would be devoted towards one simple goal:

Survival.

Winning was out of the question, not against this opponent. He just had to endure for just a few seconds longer. He might not have been able to pull a victory from this match, but he sure as hell could prevent a defeat.

54321

Darkness.

4Supreme Jerk Commander

Dash remained in total darkness for what seemed like an eternity. He replayed the encounter in his mind countless times, taking note of his own mistakes and everything he could have done to avoid them.

I could have won had I not been so careless.

Then his thoughts would drift to his teammates. What became of their matches? Had he let them down? He would just feel awful if his team didnt advance because of his foolishness. After all the hype his team had built up, it would be downright embarrassing to be eliminated in the first round.

More importantly, hed have missed his chance to fight Silver. Although Dash could fight his rival any time outside of the tournament, he was really looking forward to doing it before a large crowd. It would have truly been a sight to behold, maybe even eclipsing the anticipated main event of Reiko vs Vahn.

If only

Faint voices began to seep their way into his mind. They weren't recognizable, nor were they coherent to him. Minutes passed and the voices began to grow louder until finally, he could make out actual words.

"Vitals still stable. Hes in great condition thanks to the healing staff, but for some reason he still hasnt awakened."

Huh? Vitals? Healing?

Well, at least Dash could rest assured that he was still alive.

5Supreme Jerk Commander

The darkness parted and the light flooded in.

Dash squinted his eyes as they took a few moments to adjust to the brightness.

"Well, look at that! He's coming to!"

"About time."

THe first thing to come into focus would be the the two female nurses standing over him.

"Welcome Back Mr. Jowaine, Or should I say, Welcome "Black"?"

The two giggled slightly at the pun. Dash however, was more confused than anything else. Chances are, he wasn't even paying attention to the two. He seemed more interested in the various tubes and needles sticking into his body.

"What the hell is this mess? Where am I?"

"The medical ward of Leviathan Stadium. You were in a coma when your teammates brought you here, so we took some precautions so you wouldn't dehydrate, starve, or mess yourself."

"Dehydrate? mess myself?"

He peeked under his blue gown to see... even more tubes!

"DAMMIT! You're lucky I was out when you put those things in... Wait a second, how long have I been here?"

"Two days."

"TWO DAYS?"

Dash brought his right hand up to perform a facepalm but halted in mid-action. His FIGHTER bracelet was still around his wrist, and it was flashing. He brought it closer and read the message.

"Round Two: Black In Action vs Nightraid... Well I'll be damned, we won!"

A smile came to his face.

"Yeah, I heard it was a close one, you guys won by judge's ruling."

"Great now... for the next fight."

Dash read on, seeing the location, and then the date.

"... Wait a second..." Dash peered to the calendar on the wall next to him. "HOLY s**t THAT'S TODAY!"

Dash sprang from his bed, ripping off the various tubes and diagnostics equiptment connected to his body. Some... were more painful to remove than others, but that didn't matter to him. He had to get to that warehouse.

However, once Dash was on his feet, he learned a very important lesson:

Sudden movement + 48 hours of immobility = bad.

"ARGH!"

Every major muscle in his body seemed to cramp up at once and he collapsed to the ground in pain. The nurses quickly rushed to his side to help him out.

Fade to black.

6Hugin the Raven

The Cage was completely empty, the stands devoid of fans. It was an ungodly hour that morning, and the wind echoed through the arena, which would soon be torn apart by the next two teams of Heaven or Hell. But then again, the arena was not completely empty.

Another sound echoed through the stands... the sound of a man training, his feet pounding the floor with every stomp, the sound of air parting as clawed hands tore through it. Legs and feet kicked at unseen opponents as the man leapt and dodged as if twenty men were in the arena.

One form flowed into another, constantly changing.

Evan White was getting ready.

7Master Nemesis

But, Evan White was not the only man here. Sitting in the stands outside the cage was another dark form, huddled on the seat closest to it. A closer look would reveal it was Johnathan Nemesis, his coat wrapped tightly around his body, shivering in the early morning air. Even closer, and they would see he looked quite annoyed as he sat there and watched his captain. Periodically, his arm would emerge from his coat with a silver flask in hand, which he would take long draughts from. Between these drinks, he would mumble incoherently under his breath. Now and then, it would get loud enough that it could be heard what was said. "mumblemumble Fu%∈' cold mumblemumblemumble Too early for this mumblemumble Supposed to sleep in mumble Goddamn sun ain't even up mumble . . ." It didn't take a child prodigy to know he wasn't happy about coming out here so early.

8Hugin the Raven

Evan stopped as he heard the mumbling, his sensitive ears picking the muttering and complaining up. He slowed himself down, going from hard styles into a more relaxed, soft style. "You know... you didn't have to come at all. You could have just gotten your rest and had been done with it. I only said I was leaving to inform you of what was going on. But you're here... so why are you complaining again?"

9[Na no da]

"Nyuuu!"

Ray would be playing her PSP on the other side of the cage, awaiting her teamates arrival. She had crashed in her racecar game, and just lost her car to some beginner racer, Ray would be pouting, her bangs covering her eyes, which held a saddend look to them.

"Get your candy here!"

Ray's ears suddenly perked, the sound of candy made her stomach growl, and her mouth water, it had been a while since she had-had a candy of any sorts.

Jumping up, she'd race to the vender, and buy a cherry lollypop, unwrap it, and stuck it into her mouth, her grinn spreading over her tanned face.

"Yum."

She'd sit back down, and rest her feet atop the chair in front of her, going back to playing her psp while she waited.

But you're here... so why are you complaining again?"

Johnathan sighed, causing a large cloud of mist to form in front of his face, and said "Because I came here to take a look at where we'd be fighting. I wanna make sure I can use the arena to my advantage when it's my turn. Besides, if you're out here in the bting cold, while I'm sleeping in a nice warm bed, what does that say for me?" He flashed a grin at Evan, but it quickly became part of a confused and bewildered expression as he saw what was happening on the other side of the warehouse. He blinked, and there was a long pause before he said "I didn't know vendors came out this early. There isn't anybody out to sell stuff to! Errr . . . besides her, that is."

11Supreme Jerk Commander

Dash is sitting the the back of a cab, still in his backless medical gown. He didn't have time to get dressed at the hospital, so he decided to get it done on the way to the warehouse. So, as the cab pressed on, Dash would scramble about in the back seat, trying to put on his blue bodysuit among other things.

12Donald Tenebrae

Donald came to the cage shirtless. He had his chest wrapped in thick red bandages, so it matched his hair. Why was he here? He hadnt closed up some things the last time he saw this bunch. And he was here to do it. "Ey..." He said to Ray smirking. He held his chest in pain as he walked. His heavy combat boots clanking on the floor. Agony on his right side as usual, was shining very dull. He closed his eyes. The pain was getting worse. He tugged on his jeans, trying to play it off like nothing was wrong. "So..Um. Congrats." He said. "Your team was amazing."

13Ruuvan

Ruuvan was well aware of the other team in the area - the one they were about to go against and someone from a team beaten in the first round - but this didn't make a difference to his concentration as he standed on the opposite side of the warehouse to Evan and John; soon the distance would be closed.

Taking a deep breath and focusing on the shadows in front of him, Ruuvan stepped forward and used them as a doorway to move himself to the other side right behind Nemesis. Shadows didn't tend to make noises and this process was silent, but he soon made his presence known by slapping Nem on the back.

"Boo!" Regardless of whether he jumped out of his skin or not, Ruu walked around chuckling to himself and looked between his two companions, "Should be kicking off soon, eh?"

14[Na no da]

"Thank you."

Ray said turning off the game console she had been playing. She looked up to Donald with a gentle smile, standing up soon after, patting off her backside.

"It was Reiko and Dash who were amazing really. I could barely keep up with Mek'."

She said softly rubbing the back of her head , if she was in anime, she would have had a sweat drop run down the back of her head.

"Are you okay? Reiko didn't hurt you to bad did he?"

She asked pointing to his bandages.

15Hugin the Raven

"Heh.. I didn't know they were selling this early, either. And don't worry about the cold. They'll turn it on once the specators get here. I'm sure most of them are camped in the parking lot, up in their cars and trailers for this one."

With that, he looked up at Ray, quirking an eyebrow.

Hn... she doesn't look that much older than someone else I know. Kinda cute.

He shrugged and continued onward, his arms flowing and his legs in a low stance to draw energy from the stadium floor. And then, his third teammate arrived on the scene. "Ah, the man arrives," he said without turning his back to face Ruuvan.

He got back into ready stance, thus ending the pattern, and looked towards his teammate. "You ready?"

16Master Nemesis

As Ruuvan suddenly slapped Johnathan on the back, he was indeed startled, though he didn't show it. Instead, after the initial shock had passed, he said "Yeah, it should." As Ruuvan started to walk in front of him, Johnathan casually stuck his leg in Ruu's path to trip him. He didn't appreciate people sneaking up on him, mostly because it was hard as Hell to accomplish that, and he wasn't used to it.

17Supreme Jerk Commander

-EEEEEEEEEEEEEERT!-

SLAM!

"Thanks bud!"

Dash called behind him as he exited from the vehicle. He tossed some cash back at the driver before sprinting into the warehouse.

"Keep the change!"

He charged foward, rushing through the cameras, microphones, fangirls, fanboys, whatever got in his way. All questions and requests of him went ignored.

Man, I hope I didn't miss anything!

Into the warehouse he tore. Well, the crowds were still mingling with one another and looking for good spots to watch, so he wasn't really late at all. This caused him to let out a sigh and slow his pace some.

"Great... I'm just in time."

Of course, he was soon recognized and swarmed. Perhaps slowing down was a bad thing.

(I take it you guys are RPing being there Early in the morning? Well uh.. my post would be about moments before the fighting would start. Time travels woooo!)

18Ruuvan

Ruuvan continued on his path towards Evan and failed to notic Nemesis' stuck out foot, but as he left stumbled upon it he made sure the tripper-upper wouldn't do it again, slamming down his right foot onto the tripper and catching himself with his hands.

"Smart-a**." Ruu huffed as he righted himself and stared at Nemesis, a smile slowly showing on his face. He turned to Evan and answered his question, "Ready as I'll ever be, boss."

19Hugin the Raven

((Yup, you are correct sir. Let's pretend that you got stuck in the time-space rift you just tore open and continue. smilies/icon_3nodding.gif ))

Evan walked over to his team's section, wondering how they would fare against BIA. He was confident that they would win, of course... but it was always good to be cautious. They had the skills to take anyone on, and had a fair chance at winning.. but potentially, so did they.

He looked over at Ray again. It wouldn't be fair to speak to her before the match started- this was not the time for talking anyways, especially to one's opponents. He looked at Nemesis and grinned slightly.

"You do know that your last name is the name of the Greek god of Divine Retribution, right?"

Rubbing his arms to get some warmth into them, and moving his leg out of the way a split second before Ruuvan could stomp on it, Johnathan said "Yeah, I do. Why do you ask?"

21Ruuvan

Ruuvan had taken a seat in the stands they were near as the idle chatter went on, a sigh escaping his lips as he waiting anxiously for the thing to get started.

"Maybe that'll strike fear into their hearts, eh boss?" Ruu laughed slightly and shook his head, smiling up at Nem before returning his gaze to Ray across the warehouse.

22Hugin the Raven

"Heh... well it's kind of ironic in a way. You'll be delivering "Heaven's Justice" to these guys. Thus, your name will have the most signifigant meaning in this match. I do suppose this is a kind of truth in a way; the so-called champion will be dethroned, and shown how truly insignifigant he is."

Evan smiled warmly at Nemesis. "Heaven's Justice" was another term for divine punishment, or more appropriately, revenge. All things considered, it was an appropriate name, now more than ever.

"Go and show them the meaning of vengeance."

23[Na no da]

Ray would sit back down, and turn the moniter back on, the sound of it responding made her head bobble from side to side. Ray was now at the center of her lolly pop, where the gum was. She'd bite into it, and chew on the gum, blow a rather large bubble, and yip slightly as it popped covering half her face.

"Oops."

A chill ran down her spine, pushing Ray into a full body shiver, her feet would stomp against the ground being the last thing to shake.

"Huh?"

She'd look over toward the other team, blink, then smile. Another awesome soon to be match. Where no doubt, Ray would be a monkey, climbing the cage and what not.

She'd wave smile after getting the gum off her face, and go back to playing her game.

She did seem young, but Ray was actually a bit older then her personality let off.

24Master Nemesis

Johnathan blinked, then grinned widely. "If I may be blunt, that was a bit corny, sir." He said, forgetting for the moment that he wasn't supposed to use honorifics. "But, I'll do exactly that." That said, he stood, at it suddenly seemed he wasn't cold any more. He slipped his coat off his shoulders and tossed it to where he had been sitting, then pulled his glasses off his face and dropped them on top of it. He did several quick stretches, then walked over to the cage and opened the door, strolling through and locking it behind him.

25Supreme Jerk Commander

(Magically resyncs time.)

Dash manages to push his way forward, he spots Ray in one cage off to his right and smiles.

Well, at least one person on my team knew what was going on.

He didn't bother looking for Reiko, because knowing him, he would have made his presense known by now. What he did notice were the members of the opposing team, well, two of them at least. He didn't really have time to examine the info and replays of his opponants seeing how he spent the last couple days unconscious.

Dash beings making his way towards Evan, while adjusting the tape now wrapped around his fists. Seeing how they would be inside a cage, Dash assumed this would be a down and dirty hand to hand match, so he wore no armor, just a blue body suit, some lightweight sandles, and hand wraps.

26Master Nemesis

Actually, Dash, I think you're fighting me. ![smilies/icon_xd.gif ]

29Hugin the Raven

He was looking towards the ring when he noticed a presence walking towards him. He could tell by the aura who it was already. He smiled warmly- this was an opponent who he actually had respect for.

"Dashboard, I presume. Excellent match; congratulations on your win."

He stood and faced the man, casually sizing him up. This man was going to be an excellent challenge for his newest officer in training. "Heh... Jeet Kune Do. I haven't seen it used in a long while... this should be fun. You'll be facing my man down there in the ring- Johnathan. Let's have respect for both the arena and all parties involved and drop the weapons. I also don't want to see any special techniques, other than the ones your body can perform of its own volition.

I have too much respect for your team to simply ask you to retreat... but I will warn you to be ready for anything. The kid's tougher than he looks."

He extended his hand to Dash's, grinning slightly.

"I want to see a kick-a** fight from both of you..."

30Supreme Jerk Commander

Dash smiles at the man and accepts his handshake with his own.

"Thanks. I wish I could say the same about you guys, but I didn't get the chance to see you all in action."

Dash sighs lightly.

"In fact, I wasn't even aware that my team had advanced until earlier today when I woke up. My opponant was a real b***h... to say the least."

Dash hears the name of his opponant and looks over to his direction.

"Him? Cool, I'll be sure keep my guard up, your terms are accepted. I'm looking forward to a great matchup and expect plenty of highlights for the fans."

Dash gives a short nod.

"Well, I'm not too sure what my teammates would prefer, but I'd say Reiko would probably want to fight you. That would leave Ray with your third man."

He motions to Ruuvan.

31Kraun

Light.

The warehouse was lit with the smallest of windows in it's upper walls and a couple of lights which barely made the place bright. The only thing that could really be considered a light would be the ring of bright lights lined around the cage on the ceiling of the building, each one positioned to fall down into the platform. Everything else was dark.

And a moment later, the shutters would open, instantly bringing a suddenly abrupt gleam of illumination into the warehouse as the rising sun illuminated the interior of the warehouse, stretching three shadows over the concrete floor.

The judges had arrived. Each dressed with a different mask and heavy cloak which covered their bodies in the likeness of the mask they wore.

One a spider, whose mask depicted five eyes like a spider, it's cloak covered in small bristling hairs and extra appendages.

One a lion, whose mask was lined with a great mane that spread over the top of its head and down half its back before it ended, the cloak made of a golden fur.

One a porcupine, whose body was covered with sharp looking quills and whose mask sported a round elongated snout.

And soon after, the paramedics and spectators would come...

32Hugin the Raven

He casually nods as the judges step forward, his ears picking up the noise from their footsteps. Evan nodded and casually put the thought of Reiko out of his mind. All things considered, the pompous, arrogant man irritated him. But he couldn't say that to this guy- he was actually a good man; honorable and just. In fact, he didn't know why the hell Dash was on BIA in the first place.

"Well then... here they come. I do hope you're ready for this one. Tell you what..." He places a business card in the young man's hands and smiles warmly. "If you're ever interested in an actually honorable and decent position that pays well, do call me. A man of your talents will be much appreciated, if you catch my drift."

Evan nodded, and sat.

"Go... your destiny awaits you."

If he looked at the card, it would have the insignia for Raven Industries on it. Perhaps he would know what to do with that...

33Supreme Jerk Commander

He takes the card in his hand and reads it over.

"I'll keep that in mind."

It would seem that Evan and Dash had more in common then either of them knew. Dash honestly wouldn't mind having this guy as a teammate, but his loyalties were still elsewhere. He always kept his homeland in the back of his mind, as well as his true mission. Dash would keep the card handy, though as me might require the man's help sometime down the road.

Lights, Camera, Action!

"Here we go."

Dash turns from Evan and begins heading towards the cage that would become his battleground, slipping the card into the hip pocket of his body suit. There was a sudden spring in his step as he drew closer and closer to the cage. Round two was coming up, and this time Dash wouldn't be so careless.

This guy at least looks human, maybe I can actually go toe to toe with him.

34Master Nemesis

Standing on one side of the cage, Johnathan smiled as he waited for the other man to enter. "Looks formidable. Good. I like a challenge." he thought, cracking his knuckles and rolling his head to pop the joints in the vertebrae of his neck. He then took this time to look around, studying the cage to search for anything that might give him an advantage.

35Supreme Jerk Commander

Dash lets himself into the caged arena, slamming the gate shut behind him. His eyes then rest on his opponant on the other side. Yeah, Dash was in for quite a fight indeed.

"Hey there, I'm Dash, and you must bee Jonathan, correct?"

Dash starts to approach the man, a smile on his face and a friendly tone to his voice.

Meanwhile, the cameras focus on the man, as he walks towards the stage's center. The viewers at home would see not only Dash's face, but a small stat display his height, weight, and various other details pertaining to the man. The process would then be repeated with Jonathan before the commentators chimed in.

"Well ladies and gents, it looks like this first round is about to be underway. We've got Dashboard, the Captain of Black in Action facing off against Johnathan Nemesis of Nightraid."

"Both individuals put forth a spectacular display in their first round matches! Johnathan dispatched his opponant with little trouble back on the train cart, and Dash... well we all know what happened there. "

"Indeed we do, It's good to see him up and about after being in his coma for two days! Do you think that will effect his performace here today?"

"Well, both men look fit and ready to throw down, but there's really only one way to find out."

Dash extended his right hand towards Nemesis as he stops in the center of the ring.

"Let's keep this clean, fair, and entertaining shall we?"

Matching Dashboard's smile with one of his own, Johnathan sliped his palm into his opponent's, giving it a firm shake and saying "I intend to." Then, withdrawing his hand, he grinned wider and said "Well then, let's do this thing." That said, he moved back a few feet and slid into a defensive stance. His right foot came forward several inches, while his left slid behind him and turned 90 degrees. He bent his knees in a crouch, and held his right arm out in front of his body, while his left hand curled into a fist and hovered next to his hip. He was ready.

The crowd was going completely berserk.

Dashboard, the vailiant captain of Black In Action who had taken a serious beating in his first match, had returned from a coma delivered by his opponent. However, he fought well, giving his opponent bruises to remember him by.

However, the cheers were not just for him- Nemesis had dominated in the second match of the first round, putting John Halfuo away for good and securing them a place in this match. This was going to be a spectacular fight, if nothing else.

You can't give it up!

GO FOR IT, MAN!

It was on.

Both fighters were in the cage, meaning both were presumeably ready to fight. Dash made note of this once he stepped in and, insteady of being given the first move, he would take it.

The moment their hands made contact, Dash loosened his grip and slid his and upwards, in an attempt to grab Johnathan's arm (just above the wrist).

Should he succeed, he would give a sharp tug, pulling Johnathan forward with hopes of accomplishing two things:

Throw him off balance, and pull down his face slightly.

Simultanously with the arm tug, Dash would shift his weight on his right leg before "hopping" upwards, shooting his left knee up to strike Johnathan square in the chin.

Would it end there? No.

IF this hits, Dash will quickly return his left foot to the ground and instantly strike at Johnathan's (who, should still be recovering from the knee if it strikes him) torso with a left jab.

Finally, if uninterrupted, he'll complete his opening move by stepping forward with his right foot, using the momentum from his step as well as the rotation of his upper body from the transition into his right leading stance to fuel a forceful right palmstrike aimed at the very spot he jabbed at earlier.

Green bands of his ki would race down his arm during this move and explode with a sudden burst of light, adding the necessary force to push the man away from him.

The time it would take for him to perform the three moves would be little over a second, as each attack was preplanned and set up to chain together in a combo, all taking advantage on the surprise and recovery time generated by the first knee.

With this out of the way, Dash hops back, whipping his right hand to his right as if "shaking" off the electrified aura now surrounding his fist. It would respond according by "splashing" to the ground of the arena with a faint crackling noise.

The man hopped back into his left lead stance (Left side of the body facing John, his arms held up at eye level in an open fist position with the knees slightly bend) and smiled.

"Ahhh, dammit." thought Johnathan as he felt Dashboard's fingers tighten around his wrist, and yank him forward. He had been half-expecting this kind of thing, but he'd semed like a nice guy, so Johnathan had decided to shake his hand anyway. Obviously, that turned out to be a mistake. As Johnathan started to tip, his left foot instinctively sliding forward to brace himself, he saw his opponent's knee rising to meet his face. With reflexes and agility that would make a cat jealous, his left arm whipped up, putting hand several inches from his face. When Dash's knee was only inches from striking him in the jaw, he grabbed his leg just above the knee in a powerful claw-like grip, stopping it's upward progress with only a few millimeters between the knee and his chin. Without hesitation, his right leg shot forward as he starightened up a little, placing his foot right behind Dash's ankle. As soon as he did so, it started to move backwards again. It would hook the other fighter on the back of his foot, and drag it out from under him, throwing him on to his back. Even if Dashboard managed to tear his other leg from Johnathan's steel grip, he would still be thrown off balance, providing him with an opportunity to land a solid strike.

[2/17]

40Supreme Jerk Commander

(LOL Damn, I was hoping that would work.)

FAST!

Dash should have known better than to think it would be this easy, but that's okay. He other tricks up his sleeve.

Since Dash "hopped" up slightly so that his knee would actually reach John's chin, the man obviously couldn't go for the sweep until his right foot returned to the ground. This is where Dash would use John's "grip" against him.

Dash would simply lower his leg as he had intended, he wouldn't need to free himself of John's grip at all. If Johnathan insisted on trying to hold Dash's leg in place, he would simply be pulled downwards towards the ground, ruining his balance much to the same effect as he had attempted with the arm tug.

But, there would still be the trip to deal with.

Dash as he fell backwards, Dash would grab onto John's right shoulder with his left hand, and keep his right hand gripped tightly on his opponant's wrist. Dash would hit the ground with a roll, using the moment from his fall and the pulling action on John, coupled with a good push from his left leg, (which hopefully John would have released, if not, it would make this manuever all the easier) to flip John over him.

Hopefully this would buy him some room to return to his feet and take up his fighting stance.

"Nice."

Of course, the fans are loving this.

41Master Nemesis

As Johnathan started to feel himself being thrown forward, he immediately released his hold on Dash's leg. Just before his feet left the ground completely, he pushed off from the tip of his toes, propelling himself forward. His momentum would tear his arm out of his opponent's hand, and cause him to land several feet away, providing him with time to orient himself and prepare for another assault. When he hit the floor, he immediately rolled forward, coming up in a kneel. Then he stood, turning around, and moving into the defensive stance he had tried to use earlier in the match. Now loud cheers were erupting from the spectators, who couldn't believe their good fortune of being able to watch this.

[3/17]

42Supreme Jerk Commander

"And this fight starts out with a bang!"

"These two don't disappoint! I can't believe Dash would pull something like that from a friendly handshake!"

"Yeah, and I'm just as amazed that John caught it."

For those unfortunate enough to miss the opening moves, there would be replays showing on the screen as the two fighters regained their composure.

Back at square one, Dash's attention is locked solely on John. He's managed to put some distance between them, so he had time to run several possible scenarios in his head.

What to do... what to do...

Then it came to him. Dash shot forward, rapidly closing the distance between them (I'll assume they were about 10 feet away). Right before he would get in attack range, he would make a powerful leap upwards. The action would cause thick, green ribbons of ki to spiral down his right leg just as he used it to push off, causing the ground to tremble slightly.

His forward flip would arc clear over John, at an altitude of about 10 feet.

But what was the point of this? Why to hit the side of the cage of course!

KLATTER!

The wall of the cage would shutter and groan as Dash firmly planted both his feet onto it.

"HACHAAAAAAAAA!"

Friizzzzt...BOOM!

To the delight of the fans, they would see A bright flash of green litterally burst beneath Dash, the wall would most likely dent outwards, but not break. Dash on the other hand, would be propelled downwards at an angle to Johnathan, twisting his body clockwise so that he would now be striking the famous superman pose.

His left fist would be tucked in close to his chest and his right would extended in front of him. Yes, it would be flowing with energy.

When faced with a difficult decision about how to attack, Dash chose to go for showmenship.

43Hugin the Raven

Oh my God, the announcer shouted in an excited and shocked voice. Dash just pulled off an insane manouvre! And it looks like Johnathan's going to get smacked full on in the face if he doesn't do something fast! Can you believe this match? It's already in full tilt!

The crowd had to agree as about half of them did a collective "whoa", followed by a stadium-shaking cheer. The energy level was high already- and the battle hadn't even gotten started yet!

But, there was one major flaw with this technique. As he saw Dash fly over his head, Johnathan was already beginning to form a plan in his mind. He watched Dash plant his feet against the chain-link barrier, he waited, biding his time. When Dash rotated his body Johnathan tensed his muscles, preparing. Then, when Dash launched himself, he executed his maneuver, an effective one that would like cause severe damage to his opponent with minimal effort.

He moved.

That is, to say, he jumped three feet to his left as quickly as he could, putting himself out of the line of fire. Dash, now in midair, would be unable to alter his trajectory or slow himself, and he would smash into the tarmac. Hard. Even turning himself in the air so he would impact feet-first would cause injury to his legs, still giving Johnathan the advantage. In other words, Dash was doomed.

[4/17]

45Supreme Jerk Commander

Moments before hitting the ground, Dash's left hand would grasp his right, bracing himself for the impact. Of course, his right hand still had that energy in it, energy that wasn't being stored for nothing.

BOOM!

Dash struck the ground fist first. Well, almost fist first. He would release the energy he had been building up just before his actual fist would hit the ground.

There was yet another flash, this time the ground would tremor more violently as the force rushing from his fist pushed hard against the ground, causing it to crack and sink. This would form a small inpression that would be 4 feet in diameter, a couple inches deep.

The important thing about this attack would be that the small "explosion" created. Dash, would be much better off as the upward force generated by his attack would "break" his fall by absorbing most of his forward momentum, allowing him a land relatively safely. He would tuck his arms inwards as well as his head the moment his fist actually touches the ground, recovering from his attack with a roll forward. Hopefully his retreat would be covered as the outward force generated by the attack would work to push John away from him.

Dash was once more standing and facing his opponant, a bead of sweat now forming on his brow.

46Master Nemesis

"Ohhhh s**t." muttered Johnathan's thoughts jus before the shockwave collided with him. In that instant, Johnathan tenses every muscle in his body and began to crouch. That's when the wave of concussive force hit him, impacting so hard it nearly caused him to bowl backwards across the floor. The only reason he didn't do exactly that was because he had lowerd himself closer to the ground, making his body more stable. Luckily, within moments it passed, leaving him standing. Immediately, he straightened up, sliding into a defensive stance and watching where Dash had landed to see what he did next.

[5/17]

47[Na no da]

"Woo! Go Dash!"

Ray said standing on the chairs, the crowd was gathering, and Ray would have to take her own place soon, or she'd get lost in the crowd, Ray's fan-girls came to watch, telling her to whip there butts, and pumel them into the ground.

Smiling Ray would wave to them, and make her way toward the cage, opening the door to the cage, and stepping in, she didn't want to start yet, she wanted to watch her teammate in action, and if she was to busy pumeling the guys face in, or getting hers pummeled in return, she wouldn't be able to watch.

She was sure Dash's fan support would cheer for him ten-times fold what she could, so she shrugged her shoulders, handing her sweater to the youngest of the fan girls she had aquired over the small time. They weren't alot, 3 to 5 maybe if anything, but that was better then nothing.

Now the door would close behind her, and Ray would wait her opponent, but watch Dash'es fight from her spot, her hands in her pockets, maybe she wouldn't have to start right now....hopefully.

"In alot of ways..I did it to myself." He said smirking. "Im okay.. I just wanted to congradulate you guys.. I might come back to watch your match. But im looking hard for another team to join. So..thats where im heading now." He said, and without giving her time to respond, he stepped into his shadow and was gone.

49Supreme Jerk Commander

I...I'm speechless here.

These two seem very evenly matched.

This guy is good, I'm going to have to step it up a notch.

That ever so confident grin returns to Dash's face as he addresses his opponant who's a good 15 feet away.

"Nice one again, although it was silly of me to expect you to just stand there and get hit."

A right step forward would bring the combatants a foot closer. The cameras had been swapping point of views between the two fighters up until now. A simple raise of Dash's right arm would then draw their undivided attention.

Yeah, he had started gathering energy again, focusing his Ki in an elaborate manner that would cause emerald bands of energy to snake their way up his legs and congregate at his outstretched right palm.

The glow would become brighter and brighter until it would move halfway up his forearm.

"Let the show continue!"

His right hand clenched into a tight fist, his muscles tensed, and he pushed off with his right foot.

Stray ribbons of ki would flow from his arm and dissapate behind him ad Dash advanced. His right arm cocked back like the hammer of a revolver while his left was held defensively in front of him at about eye level.

The world around Dash would become a tunnel to him. The fans, cameras, lights, and even the arena it would all meld together.

They were distractions.

All Dash would care about at the moment would be Johnathan, and the distance currently between them.

Wait...

The distance closed to within 10 feet.

Wait for it...

Within 6 feet.

NOW!

Johnathan would then be met with a strong right straight, soaring at his face, pulsating with energy.

5

50Master Nemesis

"Further . . ."

Dashboard was moving closer, narrowing the distance. Johnathan was focusing.

"Further . . ."

Dash was thrusting his fist. Johnathan was almost prepared.

"Just a little more . . ."

Dash's knuckles were only inches from his face, a split second away from contact. Johnathan was ready.

"YOU'RE MINE!!!"

Suddenly, Johnathan sidestepped to his left at the last possible moment, turning right as well. Dash's extended arm, pulsating with energy, would shoot right past his face harmlessly. But, that wasn't all. As soon as Johnathan had moved to the side, his arms had started coming up. Now, just as opponent's fist went past his face, Johnathan's hands would clamp on to his arm, one on the wrist, and the other on his bicep from below. If that succeeded, Johnathan would suddenly twist his body again, making his body face the same direction as Dash, and hoisting his arm over Johnathan's shoulder. Anyone familiar with martial arts would see what was coming next. Johnathan was setting up for a Judo-style throw. Shifting his weight, he would hurl Dash over his shoulder with great strength. The other fighter's momentum, combined with the force throws like this usually required, would send Dash flying upside-down and rear-first towards the cage barrier. Hard.

Suddenly, Johnathan sidestepped to his left at the last possible moment-

Got'cha

Dash was a rather tricky fellow, he made a big deal with his right arm and the whole rushing forward with the obvious punch that was coming for a reason.

It was a trap.

One that worked better than anticipated.

Dash wouldn't commit entirely to the punch. Before his arm ever fully extended, he would quickly draw it back. At this moment, three things would happen.

  1. Dash would close his eyes and move his left arm which was placed presumeably to guard his face across to cover them as well.
  1. He would release the stored energy in his hand a split second before drawing it back, causing it to burst in a blinding flash of light as well as a rather loud "popping" noise.
  1. He would stop moving foward.

The flash would hopefully blind Johnathan for three seconds while the loud noise would leave a nice ring in his ears. The instant after hearing the sound, Dash would lower his left arm and open his eyes. He would be unaffected by the flash, but the noise would leave his ears ringing as well.

This would be fine because Dash really didn't need to hear in order to perform his next move.

While he suspected Johnathan to be blind and confused, Dash would step off to his left side, bending his knees to crouch down. He would swing his right arm around to hook it across John's waist. One more step would put Dash completely behind Johnathan, allowing him to complete the hold by reaching around with his left arm to grab his own right.

It would appear as if Dash were going for a Russian Suplex. But no, He had something more dramatic in mind.

Fzzzt-BOOM!

The muscles in Dash's legs tensed, his Ki rushed to his legs, the ground shook and buckled, and they were airborn.

How high would they go? 10 feet? 15 feet?

No, 20.

Time would appear to slow down as viewers all over the globe watched in aw as Dash had carried Johnathan damn near above the fencing of the cage!

Their position would invert as the two began their decent towards the ground below. Like distant stars, the flashes of countless cameras would begin to flicker. If there was a scene to be used as HoH poster material, this would be it.

Back down to earth the two would plummet, Dash would twist his body as they fell, creating a counterclockwise corkscrew motion. He would start building up Ki once again, mostly at his arms. A brilliant trail of energy would follow the two like glowing streamers.

When they reached the ground, there would be another explosion.

While the explosion was there to be aesthetically pleasing, it served another, more important purpose: Damage control. Moments before hitting the ground, Dash would release Johnathan and shove both arms downwards. He'd once more release his Ki, adding another nice indention to the battleground. Much like his earlier attack, this created a vicious shockwave that would counteract both he and Johnathan's fall.

Dash would recover with a roll, while Johnathan would be left to slam into the ground. However, thanks to the force created by the shockwave, this attack would not be as damaging as it normally would. It would still hurt like a b***h. Dash's opponant might wake up tomorrow with a bad headache and a sore back, but nothing permenant or life threatening. After all, this was a friendly sparring match and he had no reason to want to kill the guy or end the fight at that moment.

Not by a long shot! There was still plenty of time and the show was just starting.

The crowds would roar with delight. Many couldn't believe what they just saw, but they loved it. Dash would play to this by waving to the audience as he backed away from the impact zone.

As usual, he'd wait for his opponant to recover before doing anything else.

The gathering of ki exploded right in front of him, and Johnathan's world went white and started ringing. Even though he was quite shocked, he didn't utter a single sound. He did stumble around blindly just a little though.

Johnathan sensed a small shockwave, most likely from another release of ki. Then, for a few moments, he felt weightless, as if he were in some sort of void, though he could still feel Dash's arms around his waist. He wondered what the Hell was going on. Then, his vision finally cleared.

It was risky, but he saw no alternative. Suddenly, Johnathan grabbed Dash by both his wrosts, locking him in place. This would prevent the man from letting him go, and keep their bodies bonded together as they descended. However, he wasn't done yet. Still holding Dash with a grip that made handcuffs seem like loops of scotch tape, Johnathan started twisting and writhing his body violently, like a cat would to orient itself so it would land on it's feet. But Johnathan was doing quite the opposite. His thrashing would serve to position the both of them to fall backwards. In other words, his opponent would be hitting the ground first, sandwiched between the 200-pound plus man and the tarmac. Dash would Johnathan's cushion. Yes, Johnathan would still be hurt, but whereas he would recieve some large bruises, the other man would likely end up with several cracked ribs, even though the upcomign explosion of energy might slow the rate of their fall. Johnathan had turned his own technique against him.

[LOL Damn you! Good one.]

Aww crap!

Dash felt the man's arms clamp onto his own. This wouldn't be good at all. If Dash let the man take advantage of the situation, he would be screwed.

However, Dash had something to his advantage: The counter clockwise motion spinning motion.

The entire purpose of this was to maintain the disorientation of their flight as well as toss in an additional obstacle for his foe to overcome if he truely wanted to alter their landing.

Johnathan's actions would come at a surprise, but they would not achieve the desired results.

John's wild twisting, would be disrupted violently by their corkscrewing motion. Add this to the fact that Dash himself would move his body as well, trying his best to keep Johnathan from gaining control of their fall.

This would spell disaster for them both and result in an awkward and uncontrolled spiral towards the ground.

Dash was no longer sure what position they would strike the ground, so he would release his Ki earlier than anticipated, still creating the explosion to dampen their fall, though nowhere near as effective as planned. Both would slam hard into the ground on their side.

Hopefully the collision with the ground, coupled by the shockwave his explosion would generate would be enough to separate the two.

If so, Dash would go tumbling wildly before smacking in the wall of the cage with his back.

This "disaster" wouldn't matter much to the crowd, they would still go nuts.

WHAM

That was the sound that reverbarated through the air as both of them hit the cage floor like a sack of bricks. Indeed, the force of the impact gave Johnathan no choice but to release the other fighter's wrists, sending Dash tumbling off in one direction, and him rolling off in the other. He rolled sideways for several feet before bringing himself to a stop b extending an arm and slapping his hand on to the tarmac, leaving him lying facedown. For a couple seconds, he lay still. However, remembering the five-second rule, he planted his left palm on the ground on his other side, and hoisted himself up slowly, pushup style. Gradually, he picked himself up, soon standing on somewhat unsteady legs as he turned to face Dash and assumed the defensive stance yet again. His left side hurt like a b***h, and there was a more-than-likely chance that one of his ribs had been sprained or fractured. But he ignored the pain, focusing only on his opponent with a steely gaze, as wild cheers for his determination rained down upon him.

Ouch.

Dash would slowly make his way to his feet, using his right arm and leaning against the wall for support. His left side was killing as well. It would just be something he would have to deal with. He'll have plenty of time to think about pain after the fight. For now, Dash would just return to his left lead stance as he waited for Johnathan to fully recover as well. That smile of his would return.

Once again, the fight had been reset.

"What the hell just happened?"

"Wow, it looks like Dash's plan backfired! If you'll take a look at the replay, you'll see excellent decision making on Johnathan's part!"

"An amazing manuever indeed! This early into the round and allready we've had two awesome highlights!"

"And this crowd wants MORE!"

Some cheer for Dash, some cheer for Johnathan, most just... cheer!

Who will Rise to Heaven?

Who will Fall to Hell?

Right now this question doesn't seem to matter to the spectators. They just wanted to see the two men beat each other senseless, and so far, they weren't dissappointed.

8

(And Dash hits the pause button because he is tired.)

56Hugin the Raven

YES!

Evan clenched his fist, pumping it into the air while rising from his seat so quickly, one would have sworn he had tried to leap from a sitting potition. That was exactly what was needed for the counter. He watched the explosion of light and sound, saw him rise into the air, and quickly calculated the path of flight. From the way he was headed, he was going to use his weight to rotate, and do so quickly... thus, the only solution for such an inertia trap was to use one's own weight to counter the motion.

Sure, both men got hurt, but to a Gaian Special Forces member, that didn't mean s**t. The opponent got hurt, and that was what counted. As Johnathan got up after around three seconds, he applauded in recognition of both fighters.

Excellent move, excellent defense to the move. But only one will win... and if John keeps this up, it'll be our side. Granted, there will be a trip to the medical tent for him, but I can see this ending already.

He sat back down, steepled his hands with his elbows resting on his legs, and continued observing the fight.

57[Na no da]

"YAY!"

Ray cheered, watching Dash'es fight from her spot in the cage. She'd be fighting soon, and she'd win, at least, she would need to win, she wouldn't disappoint her teammates, even if it ment a broken rib or two, which at this time, was probably possable.

She'd then lean aganinst the cage, braiding her hair, and throwing it behind her.

"ahh."

She'd yawn, closing her eyes.

58Master Nemesis

As the throbbing ache in his side started to subside gradually, Johnathan decided to go on the offensive. From his defensive stance, he suddenly broke into a run, heading straight for Dash, fifteen feet away, and sprinting so hard that he was up to full speed in two steps. When he had gone no more than six feet, he raised his arms high above his head, reaching for the sky.

Then he fell forward.

But this was part of his upcoming maneuver. His palms slapped on to the tarmac as the rest of his body arced overhead like a rigid pole. He was executing a flip. His boots met the floor again with a thud, and his upper body came up again, and he bent, his hands meeting the ground again as the process repeated. This time though, he twisted his body some, and when his torso rose yet again, this time his back was facing his opponent. With that simple motion, he had turned it into a backflip. Exactly like an olympic acrobat, he continued in this manner, flipping end over end backwards towards Dash. Even though this process was slow to descirbe, in took place in a dazzling flurry of movement with blinding speed. However, though it was quite graceful, it was still quite very dangerous because of Johnathan's steel-reinforced boots, steel-plated elbow- and knee-pads, and muscles that had strength adequate to bend iron. Johnathan had suddenly become spinning wheel of destruction, closing the distance between him and the other fighter in a matter of seconds.

[9/17]

59Supreme Jerk Commander

What in...

Johnathan made the first move this time, and what an interesting move it was. As the "wheel" would approach him Dash snapped back into his combat mentality. It didn't take long for him to come up with a counter.

Dash quickly spinned around, his back now facing John. Next, he jumped towards the wall that was behind him moments before John's attack would strike.

KLATTER!

The caged wall rattled as Dash briefly placed his weight against it. He would literally run up the wall a few feet before using it as sort of a spring board to backflip off. With the same olympic grace of his opponant, he would soar clear over the spinning wheel of destruction below and land neatly behind John, still facing him. His opponant on the other hand, would probably strike the wall where Dash had once stood, given the speed of his advancement.

60Ruuvan

Ruuvan had been sitting alongside Evan through the match, smiling every so often, but not jumping up as his captain did when certain moves were executed. He felt like joining in, but there was something nagging at the back of his mind that told him to simply focus on the upcoming fight and watch John's in order to get some tips, but it couldn't be helped.

"Go on, John!" Ruuvan shouted from the stands as he got up and made his way to the floor; he saw Ray, the female member of BIA, in one of the other cages in the warehouse and thought it better to start the second fight before waiting to see the outcome of the second, "Be back in a bit, boss." He turned his head slightly and shouted back to Evan before reaching the cold warehouse ground and starting towards the other cage.

"I'm guessing you're Ray?" Ruu opened the cage door, stepped in and closed it behind him as he stepped into his arena, "I'm Ruuvan, nice to meet you." He wouldn't get the fight started yet, he would simply extend his hand in a friendly gesture and then discuss getting it rolling.

61[Na no da]

"I am, and it's a pleasure to meet you as well."

Ray smiled, extending her own, her hand small compared to his, she'd firmly grip it, and give it a shake, her eyes locked into his beaming with excitment, and joy.

Letting go of his hand, she'd step back, and place her pockets in her hands looking around slightly, her eyes falling back onto the man's stature, he looked strong, he sounded strong, but was this all a guess? Was she wrong? Would she be able to bring down this beast...man?

" May the best fighter win."

Ray smiled, tapping her foot against the ground, taking in all her surroundings, and everyone around her, she would focus on the man ahead of her, and him the most.

she couldn't let down her team mates, but neither could he.

This would be a fight she knew, she'd never forget.

. . . . Which was exactly what Johnathan had been intending to do. Dash had done exactly as he hoped, unwittingly setting himself up for a surprise attack. Roughly a second before Dash landed again, a crash with the cage barrier seemed imminent. There was only another couple flips before he hit it. But, when he was only about four feet from it, he flipped on to his palms one last time, tensing the muscles in his arms. When his body started to descend toward the floor again, pointing at a 45 degree angle, he suddenly pushed off from the ground using all the pent-up energy within his arms, propelling him feetfirst towards the cage wall. With a clatter almost identical to the one Dash had made, only much louder, the steel-reinforced soles of Johnathan's boots smashed into the chain link wall, causing the entire thing to buckle. The moment his feet touched it, Johnathan collapsed his entire body like an accordion, folding up against it. It was exactly like crouching, only standing on a vertical surface instead of a floor. Before gravity had a chance to take hold of him, Johnathan bunched up his powerful leg muscles, and bringing his head up to look at his opponent, released the tension in them. He shot away from the wall like a human rocket, shooting headfirst towards Dash with sufficient force to cause that entire side of the cage to groan with protest, and nearly have the entire thing collapse outward. The entire, somewhat complicated process took place within the span of little more than a second, Johnathan pushing himself off the barrier barely a few milliseconds after Dashboard's feet made contact with the tarmac. He would have no time to recover his balance after his jump, or even fathom what the man had done, before Johnathan would hit him like a ballistic missile. Johnathan would catch him around the upper chest in a superpowered tackle, and they would both fall to the floor. This would undoubtfully knock the air from Dash's lungs, and might even break a rib or two. Even if Dash wasn't unconscious after that, Johnathan would have a prime opportunity to knock him senseless. No mercy.

Ray had a strong handshake for someone of her stature and Ruuvan noticed it with a slight smile and a nod, taking steps away from his opponent once the shake was finished.

"Ditto." He nodded again the generic 'May the best fighter win' comment and took a deep breath. Moments from now he would go for his first attack, mainly because he had seen fights be at a stand still for minutes as the two fighters tried to decide who was going first, but Ruu didn't want any such thing to happen, "It starts now." The vocal alternative to a starter's pistol.

Ruuvan bent his legs slightly and lowered himself into his stance; knees bent, right hand high and left hand low. This was only for a few seconds, as he soon started to move towards Ray, after giving her time to prepare of course. It took only a few strides to bring him within two feet of her, that's when he launched his first strike. With his right hand lowered to the middle of his chest, he clenched his left hand into a fist and brought it in a left hook to Ray's right side. It was only a simple attack and Ruuvan still had his right hand in reserve, but at least it was an opener.

!?

Just as Dash landed to his feet, he'd be hit by Johnathan.

"Urk!"

Dash went flying backwards from the force of the tackle, not having much time to effectively defend against it. The world around him seemed to spin as he was sent to the ground. He experienced a shortness of breath immediately after the two collided, but no ribs would break, maybe a sprain or two, but nothing that would put him down and out. Dash was pretty touch, and certain aspects of his training had made the mad resistant to internal damage.

Skkkkkkkkkrt!

Across the tarmac they would slide for a few feet. This would no doubt leave some nice "memories" on poor Dash's back. The situation wasn't looking too good at all, if he didn't act soon, he would be pinned here.

And act he did.

Now, seeing how Johnathan tackled him head first, that would mean his face was imbedded into Dash's chest (Or in close proximity to it). So, shortly after their "slide", Dash would first hook his right leg around Johnathan's left leg, locking it up and preventing him from effectively just standing. Next he would wrap both his arms around Johnathan's head while flexing his pecks. He guessed Johnathan was a human like he was, and like a human he'd have to breath.

Well, right now John would be getting a face full of man-tits as Dash would attempt to suffocate him. The muscles in Dash's arms would flex tightly, showing no signs of letting him free.

And what of John's arms? Well, they would be pinned underneath Dash as this was an upper body tackle, not that this would matter, because Dash was hugging John tightly to him, making it difficult for him to try and pry the two of them apart. As for stray punching? Dash simply tucked us head down towards his chest to protect it from any seriously damaging blows.

Yeah, the scene looked homo, but it would hopefully be effective.

As Johnathan felt his head pressed into Dash's chest, cutting off his supply of oxygen, he started struggling to try and wrest his limbs out of their entrapment. But an idea occurred to him then, and a very useful one at that. However, he mentally hesitated for a moment, knowing the pain this would cause Dash. But, then he remembered what he's said to Evan, how he'd put his opponent down, no matter what the cost. So, trying to ignore his screaming conscience, he went through with it. The first thing he did was a bit unexpected, which was to clasp his wrists behind Dash's back, locking both hima dn the BIA captain together. Next, he shifted his legs a little so they now rested upon his knees, whcih was a moderately difficult task because of the leglock imposed by Dash, but manageable. From what he had done so far, it looked as if he was trying to get into a position to pull his body away from his opponent's, or at least move his head so he might be able to get some air. But, that was not what Johnathan had in mind. Instead, he suddenly lifted his leg up into the air behind him, bending his knee to point the bottom of his foot at the ceiling. Then, with every ounce of strength he had in that leg, he brought it back down hard, aiming at Dash's shin. With lightning speed and brute force, he would drive his steel-plated kneepad into the sensitive area just below Dash's kneecap. Needless to say, this would pulverize the bone in his leg, and cause mind-rending, sense-numbing agony. If, by some sort of cruel miracle, Dash were still conscious, Johnathan would spare a bit of mercy and deliver a strike to his jaw to knock him out. Perhaps the most ruthlessly effective part of this, though Johnathan didn't realize it because his face was buried between his opponent's pectorals, was that because Dash had his head tucked down against his chest, he wouldn't even be able to see it coming.

Heh.

Dash couldn't see exactly what Johnathan was doing, but he didn't need to. They were so close to each other, that he could feel the sudden shift in his body weight as the man would try to lift his leg into the air. This was perfect.

Seeing how now John's weight would be concentrated on one side of his body, the interrupt would come in the form of a roll.

Their positions would alternate, with Dash now on top. He would still have John's head held firmly into his chest. Now, to show his appreciation for John's escape attempt, he slipped his left arm from behind John's head and used to to throw a quick punch into the top of his skull. Although this temorarily reduced the strength of the hold, it wouldn't matter too much because Dash now had his body weight pressing down on his opponant.

Now, there were a multitude of things Dash could have done from this position, but he decided against them. He didn't want the fight to end just yet, so, Dash's next action might have come as a surprise to many.

He disengaged.

He unhooked his right leg from around John's left. He then leaned his body forward some, giving his legs enough room to "hop" up and plant both feet firmly on the ground, though in a squatting position. Next he would release John's head with his right arm and use both of his free arms, along with the power of his legs to push himself away from his foe. He'd stumple backwards from the sudden release if the force were enough to break the grip John had on him, but Dash was probably thinking John would be too busy trying to catch his breath.

Dash would wait until Johnathan returned to his feet.

" I like you already."

She smiled, she knew talking would be bad, but she couldn't help but be so childish when it came to new people she didn't know, it was just part of her personality, thats all.

Grinning, she'd watch as he came at her, he didn't come to fast so Ray didn't have to worry about keeping her eyes to foucused..for now.

Ray would mock the man exactly, as he went for her right, she went for his left as well, loosely clenching her right hand, she'd be doing the exact same move, at the exact same time and speed, her eyes locked with his, a smile on her tanned face.

(( 1/17 ))

68Ruuvan

Both fighters had their own little smiles on their face as the fight was started, Ruuvan's being a little turn of the lips whilst Ray appeared to be holding a full grin, but at least they were having fun -- one of the many reasons people decided to fight, aside from the money and fame they'd get.

With Ray matching his move almost identically in the first strike, it made a counter or defence easier to think of, but then one had to worry about their opponent thinking the same and the two fighters ending up in a stalemate, and Ruu didn't like those at all. With his right hand ready across his chest for such an attack, he decided to use it to counter Ray's mirrored attack.

Rotating his forearm so it faced the ground, Ruuvan brought it down and around in a windmill motion, striking the Ray's attacking arm as it started to go up. The force behind his defence, alongside the metal arm bracer he was wearing, would surely push her arm up and to the side. The purpose of the arm motion was to move her arm further away from her chest and leave her open to a future attack, but he would continue on with his left hook in order to hit her or see what she could do.

And that was a mistake. Even though Johnathan had received a knock on the head, in no way did that mean he wasn't able to think and respond quickly. Luckily, the strike had been to the crown of his skull. The domed structure spread out the force of the impact over his cranium. It made his ears ring some, but it still left him with plenty of capacity to think. So, as soon as he felt Dash start to relieve pressure on his head, he reacted immediately. When Dash had struck his skull, his foot had dropped back to the floor in his momentary daze. As soon as Dash released his head, he turned it to the side, opening his face to the open air. As he started sucking in a breath, he shifted his legs and braced the balls of his feet against the floor, bunching the muscles in them for the umpteenth time in this fight. Then, when Dash placed his palms on him and preapred to launch himself, Johnathan beat him to it. He released the penned up tension in his legs, and fired himself forward, shoving his body into Dash's and propelling him along. He wasn't quite finished though. Only a moment after his feet left the tarmac, he unwrapped his arms from around his opponent's body. He did this so when the BIA captain's back collided with the chain-link wall standing only a few feet away, they wouldn't be crushed. Dash would be sandwiched between Johnathan's flying body and the barrier. It did not need to be said that this would drive the breath from his lungs and daze him considerably, maybe even fracturing some of his ribs.

They were flying back once again, and once more John would be putting pressure on Dash's upper Torso. Only this time, Dash wouldn't be caught completely by surprise. He would drop his center of gravity drastically at the same moment John's feet left the tarmac, allowing himself to fall backwards as he had done during an earlier attack. His right foot would tuck in , wedging itself between himself and John. Next, Dash would then push hard against John's flying body with his arms and the leg in an attempt to send it simply soaring over him. The only thing hitting the wall now, would probably be his opponant, seeing how he unwrapped his arms after launching forward, expecting Dash to move backwards with him.

Indeed Ray was having fun, she had been having fun ever since the entrance's were made, she enjoyed every moment of her life, and now being able to fight along side with two great fighters would add to her happiness, as well as get to fight against many other great fighters.

Ray wanted to grow stronger, and meet new people, while hopefully making new friends.

Ray would watch as his hand continued to fly toward her side, becoming errect, Ray would lift her right leg, bending her knee, to allow the punch to hit her knee, sending her back only a few bits, Ray's arm would fall to either side as she looked at him, her smile became less wide, but she still held the burning light in her eyes, which locked with his.

Both her feet would land on the ground, she'd get low again, watching him, waiting.

((Your post sorta confused me, but I got it no worry. ^-^ So I'm sorry it took so long to post. ))

This girl was definitely fast, not that he was reading her moves so much as he was the one who attacked first, but as his fist hit a bone and she stumbled back, Ruu guessed she had managed to block the first hit of the match. He smiled brightly and nodded to her.

"You're fast, I'll give you that." And once again he'd be on the offensive; Ray adopted a lower stance this time, but she still wasn't throwing an attack his way and he would be left to open it up once more.

Taking a few strides towards her, as he did in the opening move, Ruuvan kept his full body facing her and stayed low to match her stance, his right hand up and his left down in order to protect the necessary direction. Once he was within range, he turned slightly on the ball of his right foot and brought his left leg around in a sweeping motion in an attempt to take out her right leg, being sure not to turn his body until the hit connected. If it was stopped, as he thought it would be, keeping his body facing forward would allow him to defend against any counters, so the turning would be the follow through - if it hit, anyway.

((Shortened down: Sort of a sweep kick from Ruu's left leg to Ray's right.))

Johnathan' eyes went wide as he started to sail over Dash, possibilities racing through his mind, and latched on to the first one that made sense, putting it in a death grip. When his body was just started to fly forward, Johnathan's arms suddenly came up in a bour of motion, grabbing Dash by both his wrists hard. As his body soared even further, their arms were pulled taut, nearly dislocating both their arms from their sockets. Johnathan, because of how forcefully he had propelled himself and the fact that he weighed over 200 pounds, had his hands torn away from Dash's arms. However, what he had done had succeeded in what he had set out to accomplish, which had been to slow himself. He flew forward a couple feet from Dash, then slammed into the tarmac, sliding forward another few inches before coming to a halt only about a foot from the wall. He grunted, and quickly planted his hands on the floor on either side if him, pushing himself off of it to stand up, and whipping around to face his opponent as he once again slid into the defensive stance.

Almost?

POP!

Dash had pulled his left arm down to avoid being grabbed, but he wasn't quite as lucky with his right. John managed to grab hold of it and pull it to prevent from getting up close and personal with the cage wall. Now if Dash were holding on with both arms, he may have been able to better distribute the force. Instead, the force of pulling Johnathan to a stop would yank his shoulder painfully from its socket.

"AAK!"

Dash winced at the sharp pain now running up his right side. This little inconvince wouldn't prevent the man from standing to his feet though and hop a few feet away from both the wall and Johnathan. His right arm would hang limply as moving it to any large degree would cause more pain.

But hey, he could just pop his arm back into place by hitting the wall with his shoulder, correct? Sure, but that would force Dash to take his attention off of his opponant. He couldn't risk that, he'd have to go on with "one arm tied behind his back" so to speak.

As his sensei once told him: "Pain was just weakness leaving the body". He had to cope, he had to deal. Time was running down, BOTH his sides hurt, he most undoubtly had some sprained ribs, and he was starting to break a sweat.

Good!

The would think to himself.

A challenge.

"Whoa whoa! After their little ground scuffle Dash looks like he got the worse end of the deal!"

"I'm going to have to agree with you there, why would he let off of his submission hold? He obviously had John there."

"He looks hurt..."

A stray strand of green Ki would begin to dance around his left arm, insignificant at first, but it would look as if a small electrified flea was taking a nice tour around his fist and forearm.

A smile came to Dash's face, wiping away the pained expression from moments before.

He next words came, calm and confident as ever:

"Showtime!"

Foward he rushed, every step would burn and his body would pay for ever foot he moved. Once he got in range, he would rotate his body so that he would be perpendicular to John, his left side facing him. He would then make three quick movements:

One would a swift, kick with his right foot where he would rotate on the ball of his left while shooting forward his right leg at what would appear to be the leg's version of the jab. He would maintain his balance and his speed as well as keep an eye on his opponants reaction, ready to change his movements if needed.

After the strike aimed at the side of John's left knee, he would return his foot back behind his left and drop his weight, transitioning smoothly into his next attack in the string: A left sweep at the legs.

His body would rotate with amazing speed as he rotated clockwise while extending the left leg, planting his left arm for stabality.

Then there was the finishing move, he's stop his left foot and trasition into another right kick, this one aimed at Johnathan's stomach with intent of pushing him backwards. He would rotate on the ball of his stopped left foot and piston his right foward.

Each attack would flow into the next seamlessly and in rapid succession. Allthewhile he would not take his eyes off his opponant and watched for subtle movements that would require improvision if needed.

After the third kick, Dash would hop to his feet, backing away and returning to his ready stance, the left side of his body facing John.

As the foot came thrusting at his knee, Johnathan got a omewhat surprised look on his face and started to move his leg out of the line of fire, though by the time he did so, there wouldn't be enough time to get it out of range. But, at the last second, Johnathan suddenly shifted his weight and leg in the opposite direction, right back towards Dash's oncoming foot. Someone seeing this woulkd be baffled, until they remembered something that Dash had apparently forgotten. His steel-plated kneepad. With the force of the kick and the fact that Johnathan was moving his knee in the opposite direction, the resulting impact would sprain his ankle severely, if not break it. And that wouldn't be the end of it either. The moment the boot made contact with the metal upon the protective gear, Johnathan's arms would shoot down and he would grab his oipponent's lower leg with bith hands in a vise-grip. He would hoist it up to chest level, throwing Dash off balance in preparation for the upcoming attack. As soon as the leg came up, without hesitation, Johnathan would raise hisown right leg and lash out with it, attempting to smash the toe of his boot into Dash's stomach with considerable force. With the amount of pain he was in, his awkward position, and his dislocated arm, Dash was in a tight corner, seemingly with no way out. But, he wasn't down yet, though Johnathan planned to have him that way soon.

Thud!

Dash's ended up hitting the front of John's knee instead of the side as he had planned. That, along with simultaneously being "kneed" in the foot at the same time added some more pain to the mix. A sprained ankle though? Not likely. Dash was more than capable of striking hard surfaces without serious injury. Couple this with the fact that the kick wasn't that forceful. It was meant to be the kick version of a jab, stressing speed and recovery rather than raw force.

Reguardless, Dash had a new pain to contend. Of course, any pain his foot would be feeling became trivial as his opponant still managed to grab his leg.

John would immediately recieve a nice "hello" from Dash's left foot rushing up to meet his chin.

The moment his foot would be "captured", Dash hopped up into the air with a back-flip, his left leg becoming a blur as it traveled in a vertical arc. Now this attack have some force behind it, and most likely would be enough to free him from John's grasp and allow Dash to land five feet away.

A very painful landing of course, his right foot still throbbed from making contact with John's knee. That, and the flipping act would move his right shoulder. Dash would wince, but press on.

He rushed forward immediately after landing. In spite the pain, hesistation wasn't an option if he wished to capitalize on the time John would probably spend reeling from Dash's escape.

After closing the distance, Dash's attack would come threefold. Time was limited, and he wasn't going to let up now.

First, a lightening-fast left jab was fired at John's gut. He would immediately pull this back reguardless if it hit or not, and follow with the second attack: A left backhand to the face. The combination ends with Dash pushing off with his right foot (ow), stepping around John's right side while simultaneously putting some distance between them. Following this action would be a left kick executed just within Dash's maximum kicking range aimed at the small of John's back.

Each movement transitioned flawlessly into the next, making the action seem as natural to the man as walking. The crowds would be on the edge of their seats, having been worked up into a frenzy by the sudden burst of aggression. Dash heard this, and drew strength from it. His adrenaline would be raging now, helping to alleviate the pain his body was in. His heart would be pounded fiercly as something inside of him started to build.

Tha-thump...Tha-thump...

Throughout the entire course of these events, the small band of energy jumping around his left arm would steadily intensify.

Evan sighed as he checked his watch... it was time for his fight. He checked his FIGHTER and saw that it was just about time for the entire thing to close- in a few moments, it would come to a halt and judges would call a ruling. So then, he decided to stand up, stretch his joints, and walk towards one of the empty cages.

If his other two teammates did well, this wouldn't take long. If even one of them scored poorly or missed a beat, it was time for him to step up. Etiher way, he would give this one everything he had... because his opponent was someone who was not to be taken lightly.

Upon reaching the cage, he took the expansive coat off, stepped into the arena after putting his coat neatly next to the door, and waited. Leaning against the cage and closing his eyes, he looked absoulutely bored.

In another part of time.. when.. whatever conditions were met. Reiko would be in the cage for his bout. Where was he? Who cares. He was here now.. and people would get hurt.

"Hello, I'm here now, people will get hurt."

See, he even said so with his own mouth. 'Cept now, he was shirtless and life was great.

80Hugin the Raven

"...Of course, people will get hurt."

Evan leaned forwards from his relaxed position, pushing off of the wall with his hands. As he took off his glasses and slid them in one of the pockets of his winter camo pants, he stopped about five feet away from Reiko before getting into stance. His left foot shifted forward while his right knee bent. His arms moved upwards until they were at mid-chest, and his hands went into hooks with the index and middle fingers pressed against the thumbs of each hand.

When he was done, 90% of his weight was on his back leg with his left foot resting lightly on the ball and toes. The left leg was about one and a half feet in front of the right, and his torso was turned to the side.

This stance was designed for one purpose only- to finish a fight quickly and efficiently. Mantis Style, southern Shaolin temple.

"It's just not going to be my team."

What you see is what you get.

Then he put his hands out somewhat in front of his midsection, left wrist into right hand, and started walking directly towards his opponent.

A post man comes into the area where the cage is located. He was holding something. The postman was dressed plainly, in a standard UPS uniform. Why he was here? Noone knew. But he had something for someone. He set a letter adressed to Reiko. It was set on a chair, and was in plain view. Inside, was money. Money totaling 1 million dollars. Next to the bills inside the same envolope was a letter. It said

Letter Wrote:

Dear, Reiko

Here is a million dollars. I have some thing's to discuss with you. And something to show you. You will also receive a intresting item. Meet me at the cliff near where you fought Donald Tenebrae.

Your Unknown Benefactor. And that was that. A unknown source had given Reiko a large sum of money, and had more things to give him. It wasnt from Donald..Who was it from? Surprisingly enough, it was real money. The UPS man exited like nothing had happened

83Hugin the Raven

So he wanted to be cautious. That was fine. But that didn't mean that Evan was going to go slowly. No, he would be coming at him full tilt, in a way. He approached Reiko in a shuffle step, his back leg moving forward before his front leg slid forward seamlessly. The movement was done in the space of a half second, which meant he would be hauling a**- just not at a run. The stance needed to be kept in order to combat the man properly.

In any event, when he was but seven inches from Reiko's position, he would kick out with the back leg -his right one- shifting his weight to the left foot as he did so. The kick would end up having the toe of his right boot tap Reiko's left shin.

Now there was another point to this kick- it was an opening move, thus was fairly weak. But if a pressure point was hit with the right foice, the leg would hurt a lot more, even with such a light strike. The kick was aimed for a depression between the shin bone and the leg muscle, one palm width below the kneecap.

However, that wasn't the end... the kick would follow with a right short uppercut as soon as he got into stance, which shouldn't take but a split second. This second attack was aimed for another pressure point- one located on the chest, just below the sternum. Thus, one move managed to flow into another seamlessly and from one strength of attack to another.

If sucessful, this would hurt more than a light tap. If not, there were other ways to do damage wtihout too much effort, and he knew them all...

But we'll wait and see.

Reiko grinned.

Only 10 centimeters to kill a man huh? Well I think this right here is about.. 14? 15?

Hugin the Raven Wrote:

Hands are faster than feet, especially at close range.

(( 2/17 ))

85Hugin the Raven

Evan's eyes widened slightly as the sudden strike came at his right solar plexus in an attempt to knock the wind out of him, not to mention knock him off balance. Then again, that was the interesting thing about a weak kick like this one- it was easy not to commit to it. Halfway through the rotation, he bent the incoming leg at the knee and quickly whipped his right arm in a quick counterclockwise circle, catching the attack in the hook that his right hand made and parrying it to the outside.

If successful, Reiko would have his arm knocked away, and the now bent leg would shoot out in a side thrust kick, the knife edge of Evan's left foot slamming towards Reiko's skull. At this range, the power kick would knock him several feet back, and give him a nice ring in his ears. Oh, and that's not including the brain being smashed against the back of the head.

The other leg still had most of the weight on it, and there was a reason why... but that's for later.

Reiko's left hand came back and curled over back of the leg, pushing into the knee to make it bend. At the same time restraining the leg by the ankle with his right hand. This would somewhat position Evan with his back towards Reiko because of the turing motion.

Then Reiko would hook his left leg around Evan's and scoop back to make him fall on his face while still restraining his leg.

He'd keep it restrained because as Evan would be going down Rei would "lock" his legs around the right leg indian-style. Almost as if he would be sitting on it. What would come after that would be obvious to everyone.

Ankle lock. The pain. The threat of breaking... you know how it goes.

87Hugin the Raven

The Sakagami-man Wrote:

Then Reiko would hook his left leg around Evan's-

And now, we come to the part about why most of Evan's weight was on his back leg. He grinned as the left leg came around and quickly gripped Reiko's right shoulder, hositing himself up. As he did so, he hopped off his right leg and bent his right leg in order to fully clear itself of the incoming leg before bringing the knee to bear on Reiko's left temple. Seeing as his back was only partially turned, he was still able to get both arms onto the shoulder and twist himself around to whack Reiko in his head.

Then again, that wasn't going to do at all. So while he was getting ready for the attack, he aimed for another pressure point- one that was located between the neck and the outside of the left shoulder. No fancy stuff... he just took the first two knuckles of his right hand and would slam into the top of his opponent's shoulder with devastating accuacy. If nothing else, this would be a fine distraction for the leg attack.

((4))

88One Fly Red Mage

What sillyness! Reiko's left hand released Evan only slightly allowing him to rotate. Reiko's right though went out hard to stop and almost repel the coming left knee. So hard it was as though he was attacking it with a forearm. But it was done with finesse. Because he'd hook the arm over and around/under the left leg to restrain both legs.

Meanwhile his left side would pull Evan's right leg under his left shoulder. Yeah. At this point, Evan would probably fall flat on his a**.

Gr8.

Right after Evan would hit the floor. Reiko's leg would cross over Evan's body as he turned his back to him. Which would mean Reiko would be turning his opponent over along with him so he'd be on his stomach.

And then Reiko would pull the legs back as he sat down on Evan's back. This would give him a goooood stretch. Back, lower abdomen, pelvic area... He just wouldn't like it right now. Maybe he would appreciate it later.

"Scream."

89Hugin the Raven

Okay, that hurt... so he was in a boston crab now, and there was little to no way out of it. Well, there had to be at least one way... so he grit his teeth and narrowed his eyes and refused to scream. There had to be a way...

If he crawled forwards, it would be most likely more painful. He was pretty much trapped via his lower back, though... he could still move his legs however, and do something with his upper body at the same time. Quickly, his mind blocking as much of the pain as possible, he pushed upwards with his hands at mid-chest as if in a push-up. At the same time, he managed to get his legs to move, hooking the ankles around the shoulder joints. The thighs and quads flexed and strained as his legs pulled forwards while his arms were still trapped around them...

If done properly, this would send the man flying forwards from his current position and onto the floor quite hard a few feet away, with Evan pushing himself up quite slowly. All things considered, that hurt... but he was trained to take worse than a mere boston crab.

He simply released his opponent's leg and leaned back, allowing the boot to miss by millimeters in front of his chin. Simultaneously, he brought his knee up, curling it all the way up to his chest. By this time, Dash was halfway through his flip, his body completely inverted and suspended about two and a half feet away. Mustering considerable force, Johnathan shoved his foot straight forward like a cannon, aiming his boot at the area of Dash's back right between the shoulder blades. Should the attack connect, which was quite likely since he was about as vulnerable as you can get, the steel-reinforced soles would smash into him, propelling his body foward and halting his rotation. He would likely crash into the tarmac facefirst, quite painfully, and would likely be too dazed and in pain to do anything for at least several seconds.

Immediately after trying to burst a bit more pain through Evan's psyche. He released Evan's left leg from his right grip. Generous huh? Not really.

Reiko's body slid over to the right side of Raven as he released the right leg too? What the hell!

But what was going on here was Reiko's left leg would catch under Evan's right foot, and Reiko's right leg would cross "over" the back of the right knee. Reiko's body.. turning over... his legs would be applying immense pain to Evan's right ankle by how they "gripped" or "locked" the leg.

That it? No. Reiko's stomach would be on Evan's back. No Homo. His hands would cross in front of Evan's face and lock by fingers and Reiko "curled" in. As if to pull Evan into a "U". A collar stretch, and a ankle lock.

An S.T.F. Wonderful... and now his right ankle was hurting, not to mention the strain that was being put on his neck. His mind was reeling from the pain, and everything in his body complained as he was forcefully tugged at two stress points. He refused to scream... he wouldn't. He might not have gotten out of the crab, but he'd get out of this!

His hands groped on Reiko's forearms, as if struggling to escape. But what he was really doing was looking for something... if he could find it before the pain got to him, then...

Wait! There! A spot on the arm that was about three thumb lengths from his wrists! There was a pressure point on the radial bone, ligning up with the thumb. He remembered the position, and as soon as he could he punched his arms on that spot with as much force as possible from his current position, the second knuckle of the first finger on each fist sticking outwards and striking those points.

There was still a lot of force behind it, too...

All things considered, his forearms would damn near go numb at the strike, and if not that, it would hurt enough to get him the hell off. And if not, he would strike again just for good measure.

Reiko wasn't known for being a masochist... and his love for hurting other people only went so far. Because there were things done to people that Reiko couldnt even stand. Blah blah. Anyway...

Eventually Reiko got tired of this and pushed his right side up more on Evan so his right elbow would be pointing out from where his opponent's chin was. His fingers were no longer locked. -would have landed and be rushing in for his jab attack.

Johnathan leaned back to avoid Dash's leg. Dash's attack wasn't moving in slow motion, it was actually pretty fast, otherwise it wouldn't have been a good counter attempt. Once Dash's foot flew past John's face, that meant Dash was practically upside down and flying away from him allready! Not to mention Johnathan would have had to recover from leaning backwards suddenly to avoid Dash's kick before he could even attempt his own attack. Unless, he was allready drawing up his leg while leaning backwards and kicking at the exact moment Dash's foot flew past him. But that wouldn't be possible at all seeing how John's movement was a reaction to Dash's flipping kick and not premeditated. Not to mention, doing this would throw him horribly off balance and cause him to just fall backwards altogether, given the speed and angle John would have to lean to fully cause Dash to "wiff". So, while Johnathan would be bringing his leg up to kick, Dash would be landing. He'd kick, right as Dash was rushing forward.

Dash took the kick solidly to the chest seeing how it was simultanous with his charge, he didn't have much time to react. This didn't go to well with his allready bruised ribs. As a matter of fact, it would break a couple of them!

Dash immediately fell backwards, landing hard on his back (left shoulder first!). The pain was now sending him over the edge, his body ached all over and his immobile wasn't helping him at all right about now.

"Argh...."

Dash winced. He was in quite the position right now, but he still wasn't ready to give up just yet.

[I'm sorry, but I have to protest this. How can you take a head-on thrust kick, in the center of your chest, from a boot with plates of steel embedded in the soles, worn by a man of unnatural strength, while you're running straight at him? I mean, I understand that you're hyped and pumped up by adrenaline and all that, but you'd need to have a chest made of titanium not to have at least a couple of shattered ribs, which would be enough to put even a druggie pumped full of crack on his knees gasping for air. Would you mind explaining?]

97Ruuvan

With his sweeping move connecting and Ray now off her feet and in mid-air, Ruuvan followed through and turned his body until his back was facing Ray. He kept his head turned so he could see her out of the corner of his eye and launched the second part of his attack. It would be a simple matter of switching his legs in order to kick her whilst she was airborne, but it would require a lot of agility to pull it off, but that's where being an elf came into its own.

Ruu had brought his left leg in since the sweep and continued to turn, waiting until he had turned 180 degrees from his original position. Planting his left foot on the ground, he continued to turn on the spot but lifted his right leg and bent it slightly to prepare for the kick. Once had quickly spun the other 90 degrees, placing his left leg back and his right leg ready for the attack, Ruu released the tension and kicked out at Ray whilst she was still in the air or recovering; neither were positions one could easily dodge things in.

Goddamn you!

That should have made the man let go. To be perfectly honest, it should have done something. One doesn't just shrug off presure points unless they were either drug addicts or had lost their minds completely. If hit with proper strength, the arms should be almost numb for about three minutes tops!

His mind was reeling, and he bit back a scream. From this point, he found that he was running out of options... and then the most obvious one came to view. Reiko was indeed having a bit too much fun... and Evan was starting to get pissed.

The pain was not only making his body complain, it wasn't helping much for his temper. So he did the last thing he could from this position... he tried to roll over to his left side, pushing off of his right arm in order to do so.

Everything complained, not wanting to move at all, but to simply cope with the pain on his neck and ankle. Didn't matter- he made the muscles move and forced his body to roll to the left. Sure, his opponent would let go, but that was the point. And if this worked, Reiko would have a potential headache from smashing into the floor.

Work... come on, work! Get him the hell OFF ME!

He was already feeling better... and all things considered, he was not in a good mood. His left leg, which was not in pain, would kick upwards and backwards, aiming towards Reiko's lower back. No clues from the upper body what-so-ever, this would be done by leg strength alone. Due to the fact that it was done from behind, he wouldn't see it.

Upon contact and successful hit, Evan would grab the back of Reiko's head on his way down and lift his own head upwards at the last second, in a sort of reverse headbutt. He would then have a bit of time to get the man off of his back either by grabbing one of the man's arms and pulling him to the left or right, or rolling forwards while his hands were on the back of Reiko's neck.

Which one depended on how long he was stunned. That was, if the ploy worked.

Reiko's kneeled while his hands shot out of their pockets and grabbed Evan's left leg. His left arm was wrapped around the calf and shin with the hand gripping the area just "above" (but now below) the ankle, and then gripped the foot with his right hand. As he did that, he shouted,

Time was running out, and Johnathan knew it. He wouldn't have much longer to finish things, so he decided to end it once and for all. Without a second thought, he turned and took two runing steps before leaping forward. His body collided with the barrier about four feet up, his fingers lacing themselves in the holes og the links, and the toes of his boots forcing their way into footholds. With inhuman agility, Johnathan started scuttling up the vertical surface. Like a monkey on adrenaline, he prgressed upwards, movng higher and higher with ease. she'd run toward him, staying low, to make her more airo-dynamic while she ran, once she was close enough, she'd lift her right leg and spin on her heel, bringing her right knee into her chest, once she had enough momentum, she'd push her foot into the ground, and stop pushing out her leg, toward his chest. -had become an electrical maelstrom of emerald energy. The strange feeling building up in Dash that was fueled by his will, his pain, and the crowd would best be known as "meter". Let's just say that now, it was MAXED.

THOOM

Dash's left arm struck the ground, unleashing a force so powerful, that it would create an impact crater with a radius of 7 feet, and a depth of 10 inches at its focal point. The resulting shockwave would cause the entire cage to rattle violently while any spectator within 3 feet of it would feel a slight tremor. It was as if a mine exploded beneath the two men's feet, except there would be no shrapnel or missing limbs. They would simply be sent into the air.

Dash was not the one to say the names of his moves during combat for he found the practice silly; however, now would be one of the rare moments when he would. As he and hopefully Jonathan would begin their ascent, Dash would utter these words:

Good game. That was the name of his move.

(Cue intense music, its DM time.)

In mid-air, Dash would rotate his body to face John, His still glowing left arm would blur and there would be 5 rapid flashes of green light all occurring in the span of 1 second. That was it. If time could be slowed down, it would be seen that the flashes were actually 5 punches. Under normal circumstances, these punches would be aimed at nerve bundles located around the body.

This was obviously not a normal circumstance. Due to the fact that they were flying upwards, and Dash was indeed pained and unable to focus as much as he normally would, the attacks would hit random spots on Johns body based on how they were oriented with each other at the time. They would still hurt like hell and maybe leave some bruises worth bragging about, but John would still have control of his body after the initial stun period of a second or so. By now they would be 5 feet into the air and still climbing, Dash would start flying higher as John would seeing how John was heavier than Dash. So, at about the 10 foot mark, Dash would rotate his entire body and strike Downwards at John with his left arm, creating a final blast of force and releasing the rest of the energy stored.

This served to cancel out Johns upwards force and transfer it to Dash himself (think of billiard balls striking each other). John would then begin to drop back down normally, left to deal with the 10 foot drop as he pleased. John was a tough guy, though. So Dash wouldn't be worried about him getting hurt seriously (THus was the reason Dash decided to stop John's "flight". Dash on the other hand, hed keep moving upwards and quickly.

Ruuvan had managed to close the distance just as Ray started to get to her feet, and that put him in perfect range to do a more devastating move than before. Being slightly crouched, he was in a perfect position to spring into a large jump towards her and rotate his body backwards. He extended his legs and was now heading straight towards Ray in mid-recovery for a drop kick move to her chest area. Annoying... It was time to get something done. As Reiko got set to fling Evan into the air, he grabbed Reiko by his neck and squeezed, his fingers digging in. This was starting to really annoy him, so he squeezed hard... and since the man had both of his arms occupied, he would not be able to stop this so easily.

Thus, his momentum would already be pulling him up into the air as Evan grabbed onto his neck. Then as he moved upwards, he curled his legs in and leaned forward. The legs would press on the chest and the forward momentum would slam Reiko against the mat.

There is no significant time frame in which to do high grade acrobatics, grab, and counter it. This style was not designed to go for pressure points or deflect an attack... it was designed to tear someone limb from limb, whether in mid-air or not. But for now, he let himself fall, holding his stance until he was about half of the way down before thrusting his right hand forwards, aiming to slam into Reiko's head with the Eagle's Claw, which he would then proceed to rake down his opponent's face.

The results had come in, determining the victors, only there was something else. Something sinister...

As the victorious team was declaired, the judges asked the spectators to leave the area, the fight being finished, the spectators congradulating the losing team as much as the winning team for putting on a great show. But before Team Black in Action had a chance to leave the caged, one of them would be singled out.

The 'Porcupine', dressed in a large sharply quilled cloak, whose head was covered in a mask in the form of the animal it represented, stepped into the cage one of the members of the victorious team had fought in and spoke.

"Sakagami Reiko, of team Black in Action, you are hereby called out to take part in an elimination round."

Those spectators which remained and heard the call were instantly curious of the situation, but the other judges ushered them away.

"The rules are simple, they are the same as the tournament rules, with one stipulation. Defeat me, and you may go onto the next set of matches, lose, and you are barred from participating in the next match, either as a fighter or a striker. Your team-mates will have to make up for you in this case.

This fight will be one on one, restricting your team-mates from acting as strikers. All flag offenses will be the same except for the lenience to comply with the rules are more strict, one red card is a loss."

What? How could that be? Fight a judge? But if he didnt, it would count as a forfeit, and he would be barred from participating in the next match, which could mean a loss for the team as their members were broken down. He really didnt have a choice in the matter.

The 'Porcupine' stood by the doorway into the cage as it closed behind him, trapping the two inside, the man behind the mask and beneath the costume of the judge simply waited for his move, whether is be an attack or a forfiture.

He then sprang off and landed on his feet, breathing hard. He checked the FIGHTER as he got his bearings together, and smiled ruefully. Then he took a closer look... and started laughing. His laughter increased in volume as he looked at Reiko. Did he see the same thing that he did? Probably not... but even so...

"Damn, you're somehting else! Winning by four-tenths of a point... if this would have gone on any longer, I'd have had the space to catch up!"

Having finally recovered, he walked over to the cage door and opened it, turning around before the judge could arrive. "I want to fight you again! Next time, I got you for sure, Reiko."

With that, he picked up his coat and walked over to the other cages to explain the score to his teammates. It was a better match than the last one, that was for sure. And so close... so damn close! The next time they entered, they'd have a better game to bring due to this experience.

Oh yes- much better. They'd be back next year.

"Leave me. Your clown-like acrobatics make me angry."

Reiko responded to Raven.

"You are still too early to fight me."

He looked at the Porcupine guy and put his hands out in front of him. Left in right wrist.

"Opk."

Then he would walk straight up to the "challenger." If he did nothing.. Reiko would be standing a foot in front of him when he stopped walking.

(( 1/17? ))

And the porcupine clad judge did nothing, standing there as Reiko moved forward only to stop right in front of him. Good thing too, because those many quills on the costume looked mighty sharp. Reiko might not want to walk right into them or something.

Just like the judges in the other areas, he was not going to be the one to make the first move. Instead, this one judge just sort of stood there, waiting for an attack.

He looked the judge in the "face" with a look of complete seriousness.

Johnathan would be laying on the tarmac, face up as his chest heaved up and down raggedly while blood trickled from the corner of his mouth. Several seconds would pass as he lay there, not seeming to notice that the match had ended, or that BIA had been announced winners of the round, or that Reiko was about to fight one of the judges. He would simply lie there, and breath. But, soon enough, one of his fingers would twitch, and his eyelids would flash open, revealing his brown pupils. His chest would rise a bit further than it had before, and it would fall again as he let out an exhaustive sigh. For another few moments he would stay where he was, before, clenshing his eyes shut and gritting his teeth. He would start to roll over slowly on his left side, seeming to take ages to rotate his injured body. When several seconds had passed, he would be lying on his chest, and using one arm, he would push himself on to his knees, his right arm hanging limply. He would take some time to catch his breath before going on to one knee in a kneeling position, then with a deep breath, he would move up on to both feet. He would tip to the right for a moment, but would immediately straighten out by putting his good arm out to one side for balance. Once he steadied himself, he would drop his arm back to his side, let out another heavy sigh, and limp towards the cage door, his head bowed.

At the same time the Porcupine's left hand whipped out from beneath the needled cloak. Reiko just got a free shot with a backhand into the Porcupine's stomach, though it would feel as if he'd just slammed his hand into a stone wall. The Porcupine, however, would reach under Reiko's arm at almost the exact moment that Reiko moved; the arm wearing a black, elbow length glove with a black laquered metal bracer over the wrist and forearm.

The Porcupine now had a vice grip upon Reiko's balls.

"You're all talk and no action, Reiko Sakagami," the judge would say from behind the mask; the voice sounding hollow as it reverberated from within.

Hold it... Reiko's hand merely extended towards the man. It being perceived as an attack would be at the challenger's own fault.

Excellent. Because of the lack of attack on Reiko's part, it enabled him to pay attention to the man's bodylanguage. As the movement of the arms comes from the shoulders.

Reiko's left hand would cross under the right to meet the man's wrist, as both hands were near the crotch before. Leaving his left, there as defense. Great. Left would grab... whatever arm the challenger used by the wrist.

The right hand would press into the man shortly after the left had defended. Gently, his palm would press into the man's midsection, releasing "force" from his palm to slam into the challenger and rocket him back.

Or.. if he was as sturdy as.. whatever.. he would be repelled some yards.

(( 4/17 ))

137themightyjello

What truly mattered in the fight was not what Reiko had intended, it was that the moment Rei stopped shitting around, the fight would actually start. And even if Rei pulled his punches, it was already on.

Rei's hand felt cold steel as he grasped the Porcupine by the wrist, but as he was reaching across his body to try and stop the hand, leverage was against him. Even if he did possess the strength to stop the sudden arm movement, it wouldn't hold out when the Porcupine stepped in with his left foot to put even more power behind the thrust.

The hand would come, palm up, between Reiko's legs, and the hand would close down to squeeze Rei's two best friends in a powerful grip. That is, the situation would have been that way if Reiko hadn't tried to catch the hand. Now, with his stance shifted, the Porcupine was in better position to power through his attack; the challenger would be lifted eighteen inches into the air... by his balls. It would feel like he had slipped on a balance beam and gravity had taken its toll. Only with a crushing grip added.

If this carried through, the Porcupine would indeed be thrown back by the "force" that Reiko exerted. And the Sakagami man would be dragged along with him... by his balls.

A few feet back, however, the Porcupine would put his right leg back to catch himself, and brace both that leg and his left arm against the momentum of Reiko; turning his balls from an outie to an innie.

Because in this case it would be easier to push down, than up, Reiko would clearly have the upper hand. However, this "struggle" before impact was changing his gameplan up. So they would pretty much face to face now..

Or at least that would be the case until a flurry of bright yellow fists (7) with quarter-seconds between impact time... would rapidly shoot out of Reiko's upperbody aiming at the challenger's head and upper torso. The amount of pressure they would apply would be about half a ton, each.

Was Reiko the one doing it? Not at all. It was his second. As this fists shot out.. the second would extend further out of Reiko, increasing its range.

Seven half ton fists. Quite a bit of force behind them, all shooting out of Reiko's chest at the Porcupine. The Judge made no sounds, there was no wind knocked out of him, and he didn't even seem to feel the blows as they hammered away at the shrouded figure's torso. Each blow drove the two fighters apart several inches at a time, pushing back both the Porcupine and Reiko at the same time. Reiko's double would have felt like those fists were slamming into stone, though with each strike that landed in the same place as one had before, the stone would seem just a little bit softer.

Though these weren't just body blows, one strike hit the edge of the ceramic mask, causing a piece to chip off and reveal an uninhibited grin from behind the costume. Slightly fanged, and registering no real pain from the assault.

However, the Porcupine would simply stand there and take the assault, for now. The pressure on Reiko's family jewels was constant, and hard. Whatever threats that he made he would be making in soprano for the rest of the day.

"You mock yourself," was the only reply by the masked combattant as the sly grin returned.

Uh.. right.. because his "jewels" werent even harmed as Reiko successfully defended them earlier. Coincidence. Right.

Reiko spoke in his normal voice after sighing.

"What a waste of my time. I refuse to fight."

The "second" stepped out fully and stood there, connected to Reiko by his left foot. Reiko looked at his energy manefested in a human like form and scratched his head. If there was anything here right now superior to him in terms of power and speed... this would be it.

"You handle this."

Reiko walked forward towards the challenger, stopping about two and a half feet away from the judge.. should he attack or... anything like that.

Wow... this would put the man at the very last cm of Reiko's reach. The "second" faded into Reiko once more.

Reiko's body shifted slightly so that he maintained the distance but put his left side forward.

Then he quickly extended a fist in the direction of the man's head...

(( 7/17 ))

143themightyjello

Standing back at two and a half feet while still holding onto the wrist of the Judge? One might think that Reiko was a dandy.

Though true to what had transpired so far, the judge stood silent and did nothing to interrupt Reiko and his pompous games. He could talk to himself, or anything that walked out of himself, all that he wanted to. The Porcupine would wait until Reiko was ready to get back to the fight. If he tried another half-assed opener like he had earlier, there would be nothing but pain waiting for him.

As for the opener that Reiko had chosen this time, the Porcupine could only hope for more. In responce, he only raised that left hand up again; the elbow out straight and the forearm bent up at a right angle. If Rei's punch went straight out, he would strike against the metal bracer on the arm. If something else happened... well, that waited to be seen.

(( 7 / 17 ))

144One Fly Red Mage

Eh.. blown apart was what was written. So a wrist was released. That could be assumed as well if Reiko punched with a hand that was previously used to hold another's hand.

Insignificant technicalities.

Reiko struck the metal bracer, except.. not hard. True he extended a fist quickly but not with the intent of actually hitting anything.

-tip-

Reiko would then withdraw his fist and start to thrust his upperbody forward with both arms cocked back, ready to throw a heavy punch with either hand...

(( 8/17 ))

145themightyjello

Reiko changed his stance, and it was obvious that he would advance when his weight shifted forwards. Porcupine had been lenient up until now, and had stood back and watched as Reiko made this fight for the advancement of HIS team into a joke. But Porcupine would be still no longer.

When Reiko began to c**k his arms back, Porcupine stepped forwards quickly with his left foot; it set down just in front of Reiko's right. Due to the fact that Porcupine had stepped in, the Judge was now at an angle perpendicular to Reiko's body, with his left shoulder pointed towards the center of Reiko's chest, and his legs spread just a bit wider than his shoulders, knees bent slightly with the right bent inwards slightly.

In the same motion, even as the Judge was taking the step, the left forearm would fold down, in towards his chest, and the elbow would lash out to the side, directly at the center of Reiko's throat, about an inch below the chin-

-and there it would stop. Held in pause an inch away from striking the point of the elbow against the place in the kneck known as the 'adams apple'. Reiko's arms cocked back just an instant before, he would not yet be in any position to move them to block. Even if he had only begun to move his upperbody forward, that would mean that his balance would be off, and it would take a moment to recover it to move himself in any direction other than into the attack, which was exactly one moment too long.

"Reiko Sakagami... you shame yourself in this ring," the Porcupine said in a deep, controlled voice; the mouth moving just barely visible behind the chipped bottom of the mask. Anyone with a basic knowledge of anatomy would know what would have happened if the Porcupine hadn't stopped his elbow there.

And knock him back. The second's great strength would be multiplied by the fact that he was pretty much "shooting" out of Reiko. Should the challenger's attack continue, it would impact with the second's body.

Which took the Second straight over the Porcupine.

As the Second had been clearly rocketing out of Reiko's chest towards the Porcupine's face, it would be at an upward angle, and as it was rocketing, the attack would not stop when it contacted, but carry straight through; knocking back both the Judge's head and the Judge's left arm when the Second struck the porcelain mask and flew straight over the Porcupine's head.

All the women in the audience cried out in unison for fear that their lover would no longer be able to satisfy them... for you see, Reiko was speaking at the time, and the phrase "bite your tongue" can be used for other things than simply to say "shut up". If he was an unlucky fellow, he could lose the tip of his woman-pleaser, and could quickly bleed to death shortly afterwards.

"Fight me with all that you are, or go home in bandages, Reiko Sakagami," the Judge said, head still tilted back from the blow, as if he didn't even need to look at Reiko to fight him.

The Porcupine mask clattered to the ground behind the Judge as the Second began to fall, as well.

Sorry, but trying to take every adjective as literal would be dumb. As rocketing and "shooting" are just colorful exaggerations to symbolize "great speed."

Also because the second is a manefestation of Reiko's energy. Not a clone. Not a real person. And is slightly transparent. So the challenger would be fighting force... and at times.. just waving at spirit.. should it come to that.

The uppercut would be intercepted by the second's body. It would start to penetrate.. until force circulated in that area to make it solid.. at which point it would be "pushed out."

After the uppercut the second would interlock its fingers as if to form a hammer and swing it down to smash the back of the challenger's neck "down" into the ground.

What happens when a manifestation of a man's spirit is torn from his body? Well... perhaps they would find out today.

As the once-masked Judge stared upwards with his head tilted back into the face of the Second; half extended out from Reiko's body, he began to chuckle. This Second... was it in the shape of Nekki-sensei again?

The Judge's left arm fell to his side, limp.

This is all that Reiko would be able to see. What he wouldn't be able to see, however, was a spirit limb erupting from the top of the left shoulder and grasping a chokehold onto the neck of this Second; squeezing tightly with that same vice grip and tearing the projection of Reiko's inner spirit to the left while sustaining that grip.

The right hand, quickly recovering from the blow it had dealt to the Second's midsection, dropped again to disappear into the folds of the heavy, needled cloak while the Judge brought his left knee up to his chest and thrust a side kick quickly at Reiko's lower abdomen, just below where the Second had jumped out of. The spirit arm still choking the Second and trying to rip it up and away from Reiko's body.

To make it hurt, you have to beat the user to the point where he is dead or not capable of using their brain.

While the second didnt necessarily have its own mind. Or well.. it did.. somewhat. It decided to humor the challenger by allowing itself to be pulled out completely, leaving just an upperbody. Shortly after being "removed" it faded away.

Simultaneously, Reiko would have kicked his right foot at the man's center... his energy circulating through his body, enhancing his strength temporarily to bust the challenger's s**t.

Defended against or not. The "second", that's right, its back.. would kneel down out of Reiko, (his body "parted" by Reiko as the upperbody was in the acting in the front and the lower was .. under/behind...) with another "double hammer fist" to smash the challenger into the ground immediately after the foot would be in the area to attack. As he was already leaning back slightly and standing on only his right leg, a kick to the shin while in that position would cause the Judge to fall backwards. If Reiko's stand didn't have a longer reach than he did, seeing as it was centered at the same point that he was, it would catch only air with its "combo".

The Porcupine fell backwards, bending his back as he did so and lifting up his arms so that his elbows were beside his chin, and his hands near the back of his head. He pulled his knees up, almost against his chest, and was about to roll over backwards into a kneeling position.

It wouldn't matter if it was or not, the first kick had been a diversion. Reiko's style had been pretty obvious to the Judge for a while now, and it was clear enough that even a surprise attack wouldn't get through Reiko's 'impenetrable' four-arm defense.

That was exactly why the right leg lashed out immediately after Reiko tipped his head back, intent on delivering a similar kick to what would now be the underside of Reiko's jaw, rather than simply the chin. The Judge was now completely off of the ground, the fingertips of his right hand just barely brushing the mat as the arm trailed behind the rest of his body.

The 'sledgehammer heel', to give any impression of how much force was behind that kick, would strike Reiko's sternum just below the collarbone; luckily, since it was apparently a necessity that the kick be lower than it was actually aimed, Reiko was not kicked in the neck, killing him. No, instead there would just be a heavy impact onto his upper chest by the heel of a foot that was just about as hard as... you guessed it... a stone wall.

When the kick contacted, the Judge folded his legs without hesitation, any ounce of resistance simply dropping as his knees bent and, due to how Reiko had leaned back slightly and caught the left leg inches from striking, it would look as if the Judge were crouching on Sakagami Reiko's face.

But there was something wrong with this picture... why would the Judge throw himself into that situation when he knew that Reiko would easily be able to counter the first kick? Yes, the second kick had followed after, and might have broken Reiko's jaw if it had just a few more inches of clearance to do so... yet... something was still missing-

A day late and a dollar short. Reiko wouldn't be able to curl forwards in pain because he'd just been kicked in the sternum.

The Sakagami-man Wrote:

Sorry, but trying to take every adjective as literal would be dumb. As rocketing and "shooting" are just colorful exaggerations to symbolize "great speed."

i.e. Reiko's fists were shooting at Dash's head.

i.e. Rapidly and struck Reiko on the back of the head.

Just a colorful way to say: immediately after.

Oh, there it was. The Judge's right hand, which had been trailing along the ground that he had handspringed over before attacking, had swung overhead rapidly And hit Reiko's second.. because Reiko was leaning back.. from being struck in the sternum or whatever. And the attack that was to take place would be..

original attack Wrote:

Reiko's hands would drop.. leaving the second's hands in their place. As his hands drop, the second's hands would be "orbiting" Reiko's body counter clockwise (if you happened to be looking from the top), extending outwards so that the arms showed.

Then it would extend up out of Reiko's shoulders. Still swinging the man around.. and around... and around... and around...

So first off .. the swing would have already begun. Which would possibly throw the attack off balance somewhat.

And second. The second was extending outwards... distancing the challenger further from Reiko's upperbody. So if the mask hit anything.. half of it would be the absorbed by second's arms and the other would hit Reiko's face and break his nose. Causing him to drop down to one knee and bend his upper body back further.. he was hurt and in an extended recoil period. However.. due to seeing the attack coming he was not in complete shock.

Now the arc/tip of the swing would be 9ft instead of 10.

161themightyjello

First, The Sakagami-man Wrote:

And hit Reiko's second.. because Reiko was leaning back..

But here, The Sakagami-man Wrote:

Where Reiko once was before curling over, the stand was.

And here, The Sakagami-man Wrote:

And that was what happened signified by Reiko curing forward slightly.

Except, themightyjello Wrote:

Reiko wouldn't be able to curl forwards in pain because he'd just been kicked in the sternum.

themightyjello also Wrote:

it would look as if the Judge were crouching on Sakagami Reiko's face.

And, since themightyjello Wrote:

The Judge held it by the broken edge of the jaw, and the large, domed forehead of the mask had crashed straight into the back of the Black In Action all-star's cranium with enough force to completely shatter the mask and send shards of broken ceramic scattering across the ground all around them.

The Sakagami-man, mistakenly, Wrote:

And hit Reiko's second.. because Reiko was leaning back.. from being struck in the sternum or whatever.

And then, The Sakagami-man mistakenly Wrote:

And second. The second was extending outwards... distancing the challenger further from Reiko's upperbody. So if the mask hit anything.. half of it would be the absorbed by second's arms and the other would hit Reiko's face and break his nose.

As the situation stood:

  • The Judge had kicked Reiko in the face.

Reiko leaned back slightly and caught the leg.

Another kick came to Reiko's chest while Reiko was leaning back, which would prevent him from bending forwards.

The Judge pulled into a crouch on Reiko's face AT THE SAME TIME that the ceramic mask would be swung.

The mask would impact a moment after.

If the Stand was in the place of Reiko when Reiko leaned back, then the Judge would be standing on the Stand's face instead.

Due to the repositioning, the Judge would either simply have to bend his knees a little further, or the mask would strike Reiko squarely on the top of the head, rather than on the back of it; it would still impact hard enough to give Reiko a concussion and knock him out. Because both of the Stand's hands were occupied, Reiko's hands had just dropped an instant before from the leg, and the Stand was now leaning out of Reiko so that it couldn't pop out at an inconvenient place and try to block against impact. Reiko was falling, and wouldn't be able to defend himself.

Perhaps the Stand had started spinning counterclockwise INSTANTLY after Reiko's hands dropped away... because that is what it would take in order to even matter. However, spinning counterclockwise was simply an advantage, as the mask was held in the Judge's RIGHT hand, and his LEFT foot was positioned at the head; the spinning would simply put Reiko more easily in reach.

You're not going to get anywhere by trying to write something directly contradictory to what you repeated twice already, and there's no point for the Judge to write another post when simply quoting what has already been ICly written will suffice. Either take the hit, come up with a better excuse, or complain to B.

So the Second's hands were gripping one leg, which is (1) standing on its head, (2) bent to the point where the knee is touching the chest, with the Judge leaning over it to swing the mask overhand at Reiko's head.

How do arms block something that they're nowhere near?

"WHAT A BOUT! WHAT A MATCH! WHAT A HIT!!"

The announcer's voice blared over the noise of the chaos inside the warehouse as he stood up from his chair and shouted into the microphone in front of him. The cameraman standing beside him nearly dropped the camera in surprise when J.R., the announcer, had shot up from his seat.

"For those of you at home just tuning in, don't you dare touch that remote! You're not going to want to miss another minute of this fight! One of the fight Judges has entered the ring with World Champion Sakagami Reiko of team Black I-

WAIT! I'm recieving word... yes... This- this is INCREDIBLE! It seems that throughout the tournament, the HoH staff have entered the ring with the competitors!"

On the screens all around, the footage of the current bout was interrupted as feed was patched in from various other cameras around the city; showing a wide-panel view of Ryugi Kazamaru battling the Devil, and Silver Alexander battling the Angel. In a moment the feed cut back to the current bout, and J.R.'s voice, screaming at the top of his lungs, came over the air again.

"It's quite a matchup here that we've got, folks! In one corner we have the World Champion for almost two years running, Sakagami Reiko!"

The cameras quickly cut to file footage of Reiko's 'victory reel', showing some of the most dramatic moments of Reiko's illustrious career as a prizefighter. J.R.'s shouting continued in the background.

"Truly a man loved by millions for his off-beat style and 'take no prisoners' tactics! The Champ has a long record of victories, and from what we've seen in his career so far, he's widely considered one of the most dangerous men on the face of Gaia!"

The camera feed changed again; switching from the victory reel to footage from the Leviathan security network, the records of which had been recovered from the ruins of the stadium by Creation Industries in their excavation process. It showed various instances of Reiko's public defiance of authority and the attacks made against the stadium, culminating with one brief, static-ridden scene that showed the circumstances around the violent explosion which had lead to the first desctruction of the Leviathan.

"And in the other corner, we have the fight judge, himself! Unmasked by the Champion and revealed to be-" J.R. paused, flipping through a stack of notes that had been handed to him by the recordkeeper sitting beside him, "...WELL! It seems we have a bit of a mystery here! We have no record of this fighter at all, except for the security footage..."

The camera feed switched again, to more security footage, yet none of it showed the Judge participating in any combat at all. The final scene before the feed was switched back showed the Judge standing face to face with the mysterious white-skinned figure whom had appeared in the stadium earlier that year. Then the feed cut back to the fight at hand.

"WHAT A MATCH! WHAT A FIGHT! We've seen some tremendous displays so far by both the Champ and the mystery challenger: Show that replay!"

The feed switches to an ultra-slow motion replay of the scene that had just taken place: The Judge on the ground, the Champ stepping forwards, and then the handspring that initiated it all. The Champ leans back to avoid the first kick and throws his hands up to catch the leg, and from the way that the Champion's body bent when he recieved the second kick, it was easy enough to imagine the kind of sound that it made even with the audio cut out. At this point the Champ began to fall backwards, leaving a glowing golden representation of himself in his place. The Judge's right hand, dusting across the mat, snatched the edge of the heavy Porcupine mask that was laying there, and tucked his knees up against his chest with the momentum of his spring; even as the copy jerked its grip to the left harshly and went into a spin.

There was a sudden flash of a thousand cameras all going at once.

Blood, sweat, and dozens of shattered shards of the Porcupine mask were thrown into the air when the heavy mask slammed into Reiko's face at the bridge of his nose as he fell to the ground, hastened by the blow.

Here the replay ended.

-

The Judge let go of the last piece of the mask that had remained in his hand when it was all said and done; simply folding his arms over his chest as the Second would continue to spin round and round... then rise up suddenly and drop down again, slamming the Judge's back into the mat with enough force to make the cage shake violently. There was a slight bounce after the impact, and then nothing. The Judge lay flat on his back with his arms folded across his chest, not speaking, not moving, not even breathing.

-

The crowd was in an uproar. Cheers and shouts and hollars. Enthusiasm was bursting in the viewers, both in the warehouse and at home. No doubt there were children jumping up and down on their living room couches right now all over the city.

"Rei~ko!" one voice in the crowd shouted above the rest.

"REI~KO!" others joined in.

"REI~KO!!" an entire section of spectators was shouting.

"REI~KO!" Stomping their feet and clapping their hands in unison, the whole building was shaking... and they were all shouting Reiko's name, even the ones who had come to cheer for Team Nightraid.

"IT'S THE PEOPLE'S CHAMPION!"

170One Fly Red Mage

"...."

Again..

Reiko had started to regain complete composure again a few seconds after the slam. As he did, the second would have started swinging the challenger around again. Now that Reiko was standing straight up.. the arc or whatever (still minus the man's own measurements) would be higher at about 10-11 feet. The "seismic slam" would take place again.

Only this time... near the end of the swing... the second would be using only its right hand to swing the challenger in a pretzel like motion in front of Reiko. Intending to slam the judge left... swing up... then down to the right.. then up... around back (still CC) then arc up over Reiko again for the final slam.

Approximately one second after the slam.. the free left hand would have descended from an "up" position as the second "kneeled" down through Reiko... with a hard chop. Using its entire forearm to crush the challenger's torso vertically.

171themightyjello

The 'challenger' remained exactly as he had been; arms folded across his chest, not seeming to care one way or another the ways that the Second wanted to slam him into the mat. He just let the Stand swing him about, and stared down at Reiko no matter which way that his body was violently tossed.

As the Stand's arm came down at the end, delivering the hard chop, it would experience something very different than it had all of the other times it had struck the Judge; rather than striking the 'stone wall' that it had so many other times, the arm would sink in, as if the Judge's body was made of putty. The only truly solid thing that the Stand would seem to strike would be the mat below, and the clothes that the Judge was wearing.

"...that almost tickled," he said in a bemused tone, picking up his head to look at the Champ; arms still folded over his chest, just above where the Second had driven its arm. "Now, if you're done playing with yourself, I'd like to finish this fight."

172One Fly Red Mage

themightyjello Wrote:

"Now, if you're done playing with yourself, I'd like to finish this fight." "Maybe you'd talk less and act more if that was your intention."

Reiko stood there speaking as his stand returned to a neutral position. Afterwards it would fade away into Reiko.

173themightyjello

As soon as the Stand removed its hand, the indentation that it had made had disappeared. The judge sat up, placing his hands flat upon the ground beside him as one would to leisurely support their sitting position; legs out in front of him.

"Maybe you're right. Alright, then, if that's what you want, then I suppose that is how it shall be," the Judge said, as he drew his knees up to slowly push off from the ground and pull his legs beneath him, as if this were a picnic and not a fight.

At long last, cracking his neck to either side, the Judge slid his right foot back into a wider stance and raised his left arm up; the forearm bent horizontally across his chest. His right arm was at his side again, underneath the needled cloak.

Its left hand darted out like a spear to run through the challenger's torso.

Reiko at this time had turned to look the other way.. for some reason however.. his body "shrunk" just a little... behind the second. Which.. wasn't really that big of a deal since the second was already made Reiko look like a sissy in size comparison.

175themightyjello

The Sakagami-man Wrote:

wouldn't come out again.

Try as Reiko might, the Second refused to come out. It wasn't as if he just couldn't create it anymore... he could. The Second would form, but it wouldn't be able to leave the confines of Reiko's own body, as if it were being physically, or more appropriately: metaphysically, restrained.

"Be on your guard," was all that the Judge said as his back foot twisted to the side slightly when he pushed off from the ground and took two fast steps forwards; arm still raised as if he were going to slam the forearm into Reiko's shoulder.

Well.. Reiko's second would come out, only ... fade into air as it attempted. And that would be noticed quickly. ((assuming this is like Kraun's haze thing... in which the atmosphere swallows up energy. Because Reiko can't be "silenced." ))

Reiko would stick his right pinky finger in his ear and look in the judge's direction.

When the judge would impact with him, the judge would be met with the exact force that he put into the blow.

177themightyjello

It would actually feel more like the Stand was confined to his body and there alone; any attempts to extend it any further would be met with overwhelming resistance, as if it were trying to push through a solid, unyeilding wall.

The Judge met no such resistance, however, when he approached; not charging straight through Reiko as it might have looked like he was about to, but stopping his feet there, instead. His left arm raised up slightly, and instead of hitting Reiko's shoulder, the arm extended in a backhand aimed at the back of Reiko's neck.

As stated, the judge met with the exact force that he put into the blow. If that meant that the fist would be pushed back, then it was. If it meant anything else, the Judge seemed unaffected.

Yeah... so Reiko tried to run the guy through with his hand.

179themightyjello

Reiko would find that he had a much more difficult time doing this than the Second had just a few moments before. This time it would feel more like punching a sandbag, and his fist would sink in an inch or two, but not as much as he might have expected.

The Judge, said fist having been pushed back by an aura of some sorts, simply bent the arm as it rebounded and continued the sweep of his arm forwards to deliver an elbow to the Champion's freshly broken nose.

This was easily accomplished because he only used his arm and hand. The sinking in was what he had counted on. His attack was done in an immediate motion with little to no followthrough.

Boom. Another attack negation.

After that... Reiko's left hand which was "into" the challenger... would be seen giving off a little light show for a second

  1. Pause. No movement.
  1. -VOOM-! A great spiraling force would extend from his forearm/hand like a drill to go through the judge. 181themightyjello

And what of the Judge?

Well, his left elbow bounced off of Reiko's face. In responce to this, he extended the arm again, just as he had bent in resonce to the last 'rebound'. This time, however, instead of swinging the fist around to strike the back of Reiko's head, it went clear over his head; barely brushing the Champ's hair as it did.

182One Fly Red Mage

-Woop-

Reiko withdrew his left hand fast as if he was drawing a sword, placing it over his mouth. Cept that was a withdrawing motion.. which made no sense at all but whatever.

He waited. He was attentive to everything going on around him, however...

I'd like a good book.

183themightyjello

Meanwhile, the Judge bent his arm again; this time on the other side of Reiko's head from where it had been. This, combined with a step forwards with the right foot, would form what most people would call a chokehold, as the crook of the elbow would then be around the neck. However, the intention was not necessarilly to choke. But intention and effect are two different things; and intention usually becomes apparent after the fact.
