The heat of the assembled mass is overwhelming. Among these members must be one who no one foresaw coming.
In spite of the bar being able to handle more than a hundred people, it's quite overwhelming when everyone is pickled into it like this. Even more, the majority of them are crazy with excitement of the Stadium being re-opened. Not only is it hot in here, the heat of the bodies also takes its toll. For Vahn, at least, this is the worst situation imaginable.
"Is this some sort of torture?"
Not looking anywhere in particular, Vahn puts the question to Sunstrike in his usual surly matter.
"Oh, I'm sorry. Do you want something to drink?"
Sunstrike, not looking particularly fazed by all this, offers the glass of beer he's taken a sip out of to Vahn.
It's clearly misunderstanding. But it puts an end to Vahn's listlessness.
"...That's not what I meant!"
"Care for another one?"
"Don't yank me around. That's not what I said.... How much longer are we going to be here for?"
"Silver said he wanted to meet us."
Sunstrike answers Vahn's queries matter-of-factly and once again takes another gulp of beer.
"For...?"
"For this."
A suspicious expression seizes Vahn's face as Silver appears behind him, holding an evelope out.
"An invitation...HOH? What is this?"
"We've been invited. It requests our participation as invited athletes for the Stadium. I was told by Mitsuyo yesterday. And she told me to let you know."
"Are you going to enter?"
"It seems that the finals are to be held in Leviathan."
"Leviathan...here?"
"It's just a stone's throw from here."
Vahn stands up, running a hand through his hair.
"Are you leaving?"
"I have an errand. Sunstrike, I'm leaving."
He brushes by Silver as he passes. Silver says,
"Reiko might be there...."
"We'll see."
Without looking him in the eyes, Vahn bids these final words of farewell and leaves. Following his lead, Sunstrike rises from his seat.
"Sorry about that. You know he just hates being told what to do."
"Don't worry about it. If he weren't like that, he wouldn't be interesting. Do you think this is a good idea, you and us?"
"Let's hope so."
Unlike his partner, Sunstrike leaves the bar with a smile.
One day later.
The streets are still bustling with activity despite the early morning.
It is amply lit outside, but the sun has not completely risen; dark shadows dance on the ground in between the streets.
Alone, a man stands out from the throng.
"Nuts. That Vahn. Calling me here at this time of the morning."
Dressed in his usual ultra-casual style, anyone passing along the street would recognize him. In Leviathan he is the up and coming rookie with a promising future. Naturally, he takes it all in stride.
"You're here. Shouyin, long time no see. So, you hungry? You must be, right Shou?"
"Vahn...who'd crawl out of bed just to eat with you?!"
"Good point. Then how about a little drink before the others get here?"
The 25 year old with raven hair gathered up in denim is Vahn.
Tanned skinned with yellow eyes. A nasty scar can be seen right between his eyes and along the bridge of his nose.
You could call him a handsome man or not, but it is certain that he is enveloped in a strange sort of magnetism that garners glances. His body is slight but sinewy.
"Others...?"
Thrusting forward through the crowd, Vahn makes his way down the street with Shouyin in tow. Eventually the two of them are seated at a noodle shop, chomping down.
"Your buying, right?"
Shouyin asks once more through a mouthful.
"Who's buying? Give it a rest. And besides, you haven't heard what I have to say."
"Alright, alright. So what's your important story?"
What Vahn produces is the same envelope Silver presented him with.
HEAVEN OR HELL.
The world's largest tournament of varying fighting styles.
Anyone who's anyone is aware of this.
And it is also know that it is a team event of teams consisting of three fighters each.
It was also taking place in the one location that had some sort of crisis in it every other day; in other words, an event with attitude.
"I won't pull any punches. I want to join this thing... there's someone I need to see. So, I'm hoping you'll feel the same. How about it? Will you enter with me?"
Vahn slurped down the rest of his noodles, yellow eyes closing. Shouyin slammed down his bowl, thinking it over for a moment.
"Sounds like fun. OK, I'm in! I've always wanted to be in HOH, at least once. Not like I got anything better to do. To make things worse I'm totally whacked from being called out so early in the morning."
"Yes, well get used to it."
Smiling, he raised his right hand, a small ember of black flame appearing, no blood in sight.
"This year... Team Glacier burns."

Blood Speaker - A sort of "Blood Voodoo" it is a deadly craft that this woman has mastered through her demon lineage. It can be used defensively but it is mostly harnessed as an offensive tool and a method of drawing power or regenerating when wounded. She can regenerate roughly 70% of non serious injuries and only 50% of serious wounds... These also take a more lengthly time to heal.
Illussionist - Sierra Ra'kar, when pressed for an alternate way out of something will often weave an illusion that is nearly more believable than reality.
Empath and Telepathy - These traits can be both a gift and a curse in a battle or just every day life. While she can utilize them to strengthen her illusions... Other than guarding her mind from psychic attacks these abilities will be toned down and shielded in the tournament.
The demoness's tail and wings can act both defensively and offensively, while serving as extra limbs.

Mode of Combat: Staff/Scythe combat (Juunikyuu is able to summon a scythe blade onto her staff), Ice powers including freezing and ice/water manipulation, Star powers which allow her to use raw star energy in attacks such as energy blasts, fire balls (although her ultimate fire will not be used in the tournament) and healing abilities (Up to 50% regeneration of energy or healing of wounds, major wounds will be subject to slower healing and any healing will drain her energy which she will then have to replace lest she run out of energy for her attacks) Juunikyuu regains energy by drawing directly from the stars although this ability is diminished slightly in the day time when the stars are not at their brightest or in thick cloud cover etc. The Senshi has another trick up her sleeve in the form of light runes. These are formed from the Senshi's blood and imprint on the opponent allowing Juunikyuu to trace and follow them, sometimes control or sense what is coming next.

It was a normal, busy day at Feimurgan - Book-cafe, Restaurant & Library. Lucind, the store's owner, stood behind the counter, drying mugs and glasses, her thoughts trailing off once again, calling back memories which had happened only a week ago at Barthavos Desert - memories which gnawed on her conscience. And once again she asked herself if there really hadn't been a chance to prevent a mad man's dream coming true...
She sighed and was about to go on to the next mug, when she entered the store. The Half-Siren's amber eyes narrowed when she realized it wasn't Sierra, the elven maiden, but the demoness Ra'kar walking over to her, her usual non-chalant, if not mocking smile on her lips.
�An espresso, please.�
Lucind cocked a brow and served the ordered drink. Only when the crimson haired woman set down the empty espresso cup on the counter � and after taking some time to enjoy every single sip � the Half-Siren crossed her arms in front of her chest and commented: �Gonna tell me now why you�re here�?�
With that, Ra�kar placed a blue envelope next to the used cup, her almond shaped eyes narrowing as she purred in response. �You and me, forming a team. What do you say?� The demoness� canines mischievously peeked through the woman�s lips.
The Half-Siren recognized the envelope. She had gotten an HoH invitation herself, but never thought about entering. �Why would I want to?�
�An excuse to have fun?� Ra�kar shrugged.
Lucind didn�t seem to be impressed at all, her face remained rather neutral while she kept on working. But after another couple of minutes she turned towards Ra�kar. �Any ideas for a third and fourth member?�
Ra�kar who had just sat in silence, leaned forward with a flick of her tail and her golden eyes burning as if lit from within. The demoness grinned as she replied cooly. �Maybe.�
Tucking a blue strand behind her ear, Lucind�s eyes were fixed on Ra�kar's. Now she had a chance to compensate her fault � or so she hoped. However, this was an opportunity to investigate the effects of the happenings at Barthavos Desert, as well as keep an eye on Ra'kar and Victor's activities, for the demoness had informed her that he would be their sponsor. With her mind made up and conviction in her heart she agreed. As soon as the demoness left though, the first thing she would do, would be to send Sunstrike a message�
Two days later, four women met at Feimurgan after closing time.
Apart from Ra'kar and Lucind, there was the Star Senshi Juunikiyuu - it had been the elf demon's idea to contact her.
Last time Lucind had seen Juunikyuu, was some weeks after the stadium's destruction to let her know what had happened to Maximos. The Siren had remembered the senshi mentioning something about her elven friend who had been missing since that time. Thanks to Juuni�s description of Sierra she had recognized her right away when they met at Babel. Or at least� She had recognized her body that was occupied by the demoness Ra�kar. That had been the first time the elf demon and half-siren had met. Remembering the worry that had so clearly shown on the angel�s face, she had thought about contacting Juunikyuu to tell her about the recent developments concerning the missing elf maiden�s whereabouts� but it had been Ra�kar who suggested her as a third team member. If the siren found this oddly coincidental� she ignored it for the time being and an invitation was extended.
Juuni still seemed to be sceptical about the whole idea of entering the tournament - or she was simply in a fret due to Ra'kar having taken over Sierra's body. However, she would do this: to make Ra'kar keep her promise. A rematch. The Senshi�s defeat at the hands of the demoness had never sat well with her and she itched for a chance to redeem herself. She would enter HOH and then she would settle her score with Ra�kar.
Attentions shifted as Lucind�s voice broke the silence.
"Hey, Rose. How's your knuckle doing," the Half-Siren asked the fourth woman who'd placed a small ice-pack on the back of her hand.
"Ah, s'nothing. No need to whine 'bout a lill bruise..." Sitting on one of the cafe's tables, the raven haired woman smirked.
When Ra'kar and Lu had brought Juuni to Feimurgan they'd encountered a woman caught in the middle of a street fight against some strange, dubious figures. The woman who was known as Rose, had been handling herself well and with impressive skill, having felled over a dozen of the foe already. But the street gang had her seriously outnumbered. The Half-Siren had stated she thought to have seen her once or twice back in the old stadium.
"Hmmm...her style isn't bad either." The demoness had murmured.
"Err, shouldn't we, like, help her? Lucind? Ra'kar?" Juunikyuu broke into the Captain and Vice-Captain�s chatter. Agreeing, with the intent of recruiting the young street fighter they jumped eagerly jumped into the fray.
It was the first time the future Team Femmes Fatales had fought as a whole. The dynamic was there, and needless to say they kicked a**.
After checking the state of Rose's hand, Lucind walked into the cellar and came back a few minutes later, carrying three bottles of spicy Siren wine. "'Kay ladies. Guess it's time for our first team conference."
"Whoo, our Ice Princess does show emotions after all!" The elven demon chuckled and hurried to get four glasses. Lucind snorted but couldn't fully hide a grin.
"By the way," Juuni frowned, "what will we be called? Did someone come up with a team name yet?"
Rose, already trying the Siren wine, shrugged. "Iunno. But I'm sure we'll find a proper title - after having enough of this stuff, hehe..."
That night the Femmes Fatales were born and the form submitted the next day. Two weeks later they would all make their return to Leviathan Stadium and the Femmes Fatales would be sure to cause a sensation as they would undoubtedly be, the hottest team to enter the tournament.
