CLIFFSIDE CRATER

The grounds would once again be used for battle, but instead of Gino and Labtech X, it will be two teams of the Heaven or Hell tournament. Maybe another crater will be made.

Terrain

General - Large open area, no cover or obstacles

Weapons - None

Natural Element Resource - Earth, Water (from the shoreline)

Bonus Effects - None

2Shouyin

Let's get this show on the road, shall we?

Shouyin drove along, taking the dirt road about the edge of the crater, checking the arena out as spectaors began to crowd along the sides, peering down into the water as if something might jump out. A few heads dotted the cliffside as well, the sheen of binocular lenses blinking off in the sunlight. The fighter smiled and yawned, shifting into first gear and puttering about until he stopped entirely, parking the car well enough away from the eager fans and grabbing the Tearbringer off its resting place atop the passenger seat.

"Ach," the cameras were out in full force once again, but they stayed well enough away this time. The lesson had been learnt after they put that reporter in the ICU for drastic internal bleeding. A few lawyers had phoned the hotel about bringing Shouyin into court, but were having issues with his legitimacy as a citizen. He was on file in a few places, but municipal law couldn't tag him, and national and even international policy was lax. The millions of superhumans out there simply couldn't be restrained. The half-golem might end up paying medical fees as a -favour- almost, but nothing severe would happen. Anyways, everyone knew how st went down, and with the Stone King carrying that nasty looking hatchet, nobody was gonna ****** with him.

That negative attitude couldn't get him down though.

He'd gotten laid, and he was here for a right fierce match. s**t yeah!

3Joseph Brown

There was a soft crack of steel, as something made it's presence, and weight, known.

Stepping forth with a regal gait, and mantle that covered a towering form, the Judge took his position to the side.

The HoH Judges are the supreme enforcers of tournament law for the duration of each match. Each Judge wields extraordinary legal power in his or her own stage over fighters. In addition to functioning as "legal administrators", they are also charged with the task of guarding the spectators who may be around the stage.

Every Judge has archives on every participant on file, and can simulate the powers of a variety of them in order to target its opponent's weaknesses. This was due to the data collected via fighters, in which DNA samples, skin samples, tissue, blood, etc-- were all analyzed and broken down once a FIGHTER came into contact with the actual wearer.

With the appearance of the Judge, the match was slated to begin.

4Sunstrike

Something glinted along the rim, but it wasn't the binoculars or the glare of camera lens. It was red. A hand with a sun burst tatoo rose to greet Shouyin as he got out of the jeep.

Sunstrike was sat on the edges of the road, practically sprawled in the sushine. To look at him, you wouldn't think that he'd had the roughest couple of nights karma could lay on a body, but then again, he was always a little two-faced like that.

"S'a long ******** way to drop into a pool..." He spoke lightly to the Stone King, grinning as the light glinted off the AXE as well as his goggles.

5Vahn Fah

No word was spoken in reply as he remained quietly in the backseat. Shouyin had been kind enough to drive his teammates to the new stage-- so nice of him!

Fully decked out in his gear, Vahn was ready for today's fight... as ready as one could be anyway. He had to be helped into all the leather and metal, and then supported as he walked to the car.

The only thing keeping Vahn going right now was that he knew where Victor had been spending his time... the Void.

Now he just had to get a hold of someone who knew how to get there... and he had a funny feeling if he kept pushing forward in HoH... that eventually...

"...."

6Mingan Nightwalker

The first fan had finished his climb up the crater, assisted by the fact that he didn't actually need to climb at all, instead using his control of gravity to simply fly up to the top, ice chest loaded with beer , backpack filled with chips, dip, and various other forms of food, and the duffel bag over his shoulder filled with video equipment, a chair, and a large baggie that smelled strangely of cannabis.

As his scuffed leather boots touched down to the ground, he removed his sunglasses to reveal ocean-colored feline eyes and alabaster skin. He'd wait for the contestants to start fighting before he would set up his platform of inebriatied s**t-talking.

7Knight24

And so, not too far away, another car pulled up. A Volkswagen Golf MkV, a minivan with a silver paintjob, that carried four men.

"Hey! Wake up! We're here."

The driver's door would pop open, and forth from the car would step Nicholas, Captain, sort of, of Team XD. Aka... The most active lazy ******** of the bunch. He'd slam his right hand on the hood of the car.

"Wake up!"

The man looked... bored. The weapon he had with him was nothing more than a sword at his left side. Large and rectangular in appearance, it was sheathed. Anyone who watched Nicholas' last fight would know that it had some anti-magic properties.

"Man, This place is.... dirty."

And he had just gotten a new shirt, though it looked exactly like his old one...

8DarthVizzle

With a grumble, another man managed to extricate himself from the minivan. He stumbled from the ''shotgun'' seat, raising his hands up above his head, his arms stretching to their limit as he tried to get some of the crampedness out of them. He didn't have actual cramps, just being large put into what he considered a small vehicle had made him feel like, to put it in a figurative sense, like complete and utter a**.

He turned to Nicholas, giving the man a nod, and waited for him to lead on. They had a match to fight, after all.

9Dyne Tazon

Tazon was the third to wake up, a stream of drool had claimed the right jaw line. An arm swept pass swiftly. Eww. Dyne was quick to follow right behind Nicholas, eyes firmly set on the crater below. Their ********' trippin' Dyne almost lost himself on how deep this crater was, and how dirty the rain accumulated pond at the bottom looked.

"Gata be kidding me.."

It wouldn't take long before General Tazon noticed the other team, they were obviously a notch above Team XD in organization, but so where Team Yurameshi, or something....These teams had such weird names, except a** Tear, that name made him randy for some strange reason. Regardless of such thoughts, Dyne obviously was here for a reason.

With a few cracks of his knuckles and simple stretching, Dyne would nod to the other two team mates.

"So whats going on here."

It was obvious Dyne wasn't really fully awake, he was still a tad bit drowsy, but it would be out of his system in a few minutes.

10Sunstrike

While Shou replied, Sun practically draped himself over the edge of the <editx2> BADASS CAR </edit>! and looked hard into the shadows. He didn't say anything. He didn't need to. And it wasn't too long before he watched people that seemed twice as lazy as he was try and unkink themselves from their vehicle.

"Eeny meeny..."Under his breath he looked from one to the other, to another.

It was obvious he wouldn't be able to sleep out another round.

11Knight24

"Oh ****** me... Is that ****** stoned again?"

Nicholas looked into the car, at Horekoshu, then to Carius, and finally, Dyne.

"You were suposed to keep him sober..."

Ugh... there's drool on his chin...

"Man, you look retarded..."

Nicholas then laughed, and just shrugged, turning and starting to walk, heading to wherever they were gonna fight at.

"Oi, I'm bored..."

And apparently looking forward to seeing Leanne again, since he started to adjust himself.

12Shouyin

"Pff', I've got a Hell of a lot more dead weight then you buddy," he grinned, ruffling Sun's hair and tucking his left thumb into his jean pocket, holding the axe with his right. Mayn, this set this one right up for me eh? he thought as he suddenly set the weapon down, planting the edge in the dirt as he took of his shoes and socks, tossing 'em back in the car or whatever.

Ah, that was more like it.

Flexing his toes he dug his heels in the dirt and just kept on walking after Sunstrike, making sure Vahn was doing alright with his injuries 'n whatnot. That guy... Shou had thought he'd been risky taking those arrows through the hand, and the ninjaman just goes and half kills himself in the first round. Shaking his head in disbelief he gripped the axe all tight, gettin' into FITE MOAD.

"You up first, Sun?"

13Sunstrike

"H-Hey! Technically I'm older AND Vice Captain, thank you very much." Sun squinted over at the other team again. They were...

"Eh?" Walking forwards, one hand over his staff.

"OI! You guys running already? Sheesh, there's no designated battle area here...Oh s**t! My bad? You trying to save Shouyin's beautiful CAR from any damage, AMIRITE?!"

Sun's voice echoed happily over the horizon, not a ******** care or clue in the world. Seagulls squawked, a few stones fell. He pointed at the only character that hadn't really identified himself.

The one that had been shotgun.

"MO!"

Dust skidded as he took off around the edge and the group, coming to a sliding halt, waving his hands and grinning. Not making a move for damage, but apparently starting anyway.

"Yo!"

(1)

14Vahn Fah

The single eye afforded to him to be completely intact was currently overlooking the gaping maw that the entire broken cliffside gave.

The view... was not that impressive to the normal person.

But you could feel it here.

In the air.

This place.... there had been blood spilled here. There had been power unleashed here. This place was rich with that atmosphere... and it served well for the type of person he was.

It was what he fed off of. When all else failed... to fall back onto that feeling... of swinging your fists and sword around without a care as to who was behind you.

To just cut loose.

Opening the door, he pulled himself out, raven locks settling against his face slightly.

15Mingan Nightwalker

The albino gave a nod to Carius, setting up his miniature plastic chair next to the car after rummaging out and tossing an umbrella on the ground. He examined it critically, and then placed the beer a few feet to the side of it, pitched the umbrella, and settled down to watch the fight, not really caring to tape-record it. He had his memory, after all.

Almost unconciously, he reached into his baggie, pulled out a decent sized bowl, and started patting himself down for the lighter and pipe. After finding it, he looked back to make sure none of the fight was happening, lit the gonja, and took a deep lungbusting hit.

16DarthVizzle

Carius blinked as the man approached. He simply reached over with one long, muscled arm, grabbing Dyne by the scruff of the jacket, pushing him forward with a wry grin, so that Sunstrike could see who apparently wanted to, and would face him. They'd talked a bit over who was going to fight who, but the way they'd planned it was a sort of ''okay, maybe, not really, ********'' sort of way.

''There ya go, man. Have fun. I'm fightin' the other one, alright?'' he said with a grin, still standing beside his team captain, as his ally would apparently be moving to start off the fight with Team Glacier in the second match of HoH.

17Dyne Tazon

Dyne was done with the stretching routine, glancing up now at Nicholas.

"Aye, shut up...that s**t isn't cool."

The Tazon patted the debris the wind had dropped off upon his officer's hat. Why do I bother wearing this s**t. Dyne stood upright, checking his cheap wear, red leather arm protectors, more for style then armor, a simple black and white striped shirt, ripped gray pants and equally shitty sneakers.

His right hand digging into his a** pocket to pull out a red bandana, the burnt out General of Malachite would, with precise ease, tie this around his neck.

"This place is unsanitary, and I thought Malachite was a dum-"

Dyne cut himself off, seeing the pretty red head dart forward towards Nicholas, then halting. Hey I wanted to fi- His thought was cut off as Carius decided to push Dyne forth, not thinking twice, Dyne went with the donated momentum, moving clumsily at first, but making the effort to align himself for contact with the red head.

"AYoooo'"

18Sunstrike

Chests bumped.

There was a moments pause.

Sunstrike's eyes went wide and he ducked to look under the arm of his opponent. And then back up to the other.

"Same same ^.^."

The quarterstaff detatched, slipped through both legs, and caught the back of one even as Sunstrike ducked to put some "oomph" into the trip, shoulder colliding with a pelvis.

The move was fairly contained, considering how many "outsiders" were around. Wouldn't do to get carded this early in the game.

(2)

19Mingan Nightwalker

The albino exhaled his massive toke, a giant cloud of smoke wrapping around his head. Through the white haze surrounding his head, one could hear him practically hacking up a lung.

Once again, he went through his bag, pulling out a small set of speakers and a black IPod. He set it up, placed the speakers beside him, and hit Play, ready to blast the crater with his selection of absolutely random music.

The bass, the rock

The mic, the treble

I like my coffee black

Just like my metal

The bass, the rock

The mic, the treble

I like my coffee black

Just like my metal

20Knight24

"Who cares? It's funny..."

Well, probably not, but oh well...

"Oh, I forgot somethin'... Ah, ******** it..."

T'was a boombox that he'd forgotten, he planned on playing some music durring the fight... Oh well. Maybe if Horekoshu got his stoned a** up anytime soon, he'd bring it out.

"Yo, Hopefully we won't have to start up every fight at once..."

That got crowded... And who the ******** was he talking to?

"I want a beer..."

Air, apparently...

And so the match had begun. The fans cheered and some dude set up an umbrella...

"Yeah!"

"Kill them!"

"Knock 'em out!"

"Get 'im Sun!"

"Bash 'is skull in!"

Who knows who they're cheering for.

"You got chips?"

"Nope."

"Beer?"

"Nope."

"b*****d..."

"Hey, he has speakers..."

"Cool, Music with the match."

"THANKS!"

21Silver Alexander

Not long after everyone had finally exited Shou's vehicle, the roar of a sport bike engine could be heard in the distance, rapidly approaching. Soon after that, the source appeared, a mostly deep red crotch-rocket with only single rider in a dark red leather biker jacket, and a shiney crimson full face black visored helmet rode up behind them, kicking up a large trail of dust in the dirt that surrounded the crater. It stopped just behind Shou's vehicle, whatever the hell it was, rather abruptly, turning and skidding to a halt, narrowly missing the rear end.

The bike shut off and the engine went silent, the rider climbing off and removing his helmet. It was Glacier's captain, Silver, sporting much the same outfit he had worn to the last match, with only the jacket replaced, which he promptly removed and set on the back of the bike along with his helmet. Underneath, he wore the same black T-shirt with the stylized blood red 'G' on the front, his right arm wrapped in fresh bandages.

He had opted to ride alone to the match. Being cooped up in a small vehicle that close to Vahn, and none of them mighta made it to the fight. He wandered up beside his team, still staying several feet apart from them, and surveyed the crater. It seemed Sunstrike had volunteered himself for the first round.

"Well, lets get this over with."

22Mingan Nightwalker

After looking at Team XD's competition, the albino held back a laugh and changed the song to something more fitting- MSI's "f*****t"

I've been denied all the best ultra sex

I've been denied all the best ultra sex

I... I tried to consume just like a super f*****t

I got some dude

how can y'all give a mutha ******** something so good he couldn't say no

you nailed me hard

I love em when they don't give a mutha ******' st

I could have been someone

instead of falling flat upon my a**

dig me now, ******** me later

and sing it to the tune of f***t f*t f***t ohhh

dig me now and ******** me later

and sing it like that...

Midway through the lyrics, he yelled "******** Team Glacier!" and took another hit, leaning back in his chair.

He leaned back too far, and fell down back off the cliff, banging off of random rocks and trees, still toking all the way.

23Dyne Tazon

Dyne wasn't that close to Nicholas or the red headed man, what ever imagination the male with the staff had, it was causing him to freak out. By the time Dyne rightened his jog, the staff wielder would swipe at who knows what, at this time, only six to seven feet away. Nut case?

Dyne had no clue what to do just yet, atleast this man had a weapon, Dyne hadn't any, the Tazon would enter a simple stance consisting of his right foot before his left at a vertical angle aiming towards the strange man with the staff.

His arms were well relaxed at his sides, ready to counter any abilities Dyne was not aware of, his mind slowly assimilating with the gravity about, just like the last round.

24Sunstrike

Sunstrike's goggles glinted for a second.

And then he giggled, the giggle turned to outright laughter.

"Look on your face was priceless. 'S really odd standing like that, y'know. Are you trying to impress someone, like the guy that's just FALLEN OFF THE CLIFF?!"

o.O Well s**t.

Lessons learned kiddies, smoking ganja makes you fall off cliffs.

Sun kicked a stone in Dynes direction, a low volley to the right knee. Meh, if the other guy was just willing to STAND there...

(3)

Dyne didn't waste time in idle chatter, this was already boring the s**t out of the young male. As the volley came, seeing as how the kick wasn't sound barrier shattering, the pebbles would stop within mere feet between the combatants, with the flick of a limp wrist, the direction of trajectory would report right towards the lower torso of the target. At this range, would be almost un-dodgeable and as damaging as it would be with multiple BB shots from a rapid firing gas powered BB gun, able to pierce human skin and cause some nasty little bruises.

3

26Mingan Nightwalker

With sudden cracks of random automatic gunfire going off, the albino was suddenly flung straight up in the air, upside-down without pants, still toking on the pipe. However in the ******** he managed to STILL be inhaling without anything falling out of the bowl was entirely unknown.

As he vanished into the sky, a man dressed in what appeared to be a badly planted overgrown flower garden ran screaming up the hill, his arms flailing about randomly. Visible in his left hand was a dead rat tied to a stick, and in the right hand was a flashing bowl of Jell-O singing along to the music.

I've been denied all the best ultra sex

I've been denied all the best ultra sex

I.....I could have been a star

it freaks me out when I sound just like my mom

I couldve rocked the spot

instead of being just another f*****t like I am

I played that s**t straight

blowin' suckas to the side hopin' I get laid

now everybody knows

no way in hell I can ever live it down

dig me now, ******** me later

and sing it to the tune of f***t f*t f***t ohhh

dig me now, ******** me later

and sing it like that....

27Sunstrike

Sunstrike ran straight into them. Regardless of what would happen, he'd follow through after the stone, closing the gap while his opponents mind was focused elsewhere.

Classic feint.

BB's or no, they weren't bullets, and if they weren't bullets. He was actually really lucky that it hadn't been worse, but hey, what can you say? He would have weathered those too, if push came to shove.

Rock and dust exploded as a good portion hit him and the staff defending himself, it sliced through clothes and stopped him from moving too fast, but he didn't need to get in that close, just about four feet.

Now that it was established that he was closer, the edge of a weapon dug into the ground and closed the distance by sweeping a long strand of dirt and grit right into the gap between Dyne and himself.

(4)

28Mingan Nightwalker

"HOLY SCREAMING JESUS d**k NIPPLES!" the tiefling screamed, flailing about and splattering the fans with singing Jell-O particles. At the word "nipples", the sky flashed pink for a split second, and then, with no warning whatsoever, the car that Team XD had driven in sprouted peacock feathers all over the outside of it.

"a** WTF LOL PWN XD!!!" he screamed, the rat-flail whipping about and sticking to the horns emerging from his head.

Perhaps that was his version of a cheer.

29Dyne Tazon

OH s**t. Dyne was to slow, having thought that the target would feel a good impact, was obviously wrong, Dyne would have been hit really hard if the man had gone for a straight strike, but the dirt trick, would only make Dyne a tad bit angry on the inside, dirt slammed into his clothing.

Wasting no time, the Tazon lifted the leg that was in the staffs direction and pulling it back in order to back pace once then side step to the right (your left) as this was done, the limp arms would tighten and take shape in a defensive stance, obviously Dyne was playing on defense, the big stick scared him.

4

30Mingan Nightwalker

"OMG WTF NIGERIA CRACKER GO COUNT YOUR d**k!" he yelled further, charging down the car as if it had challenged his sense of honor. As he kept his demented charge at the car, he began to start flashing randomly, giving some of the fans seizures.

Before he hit the car headlong, he sprouted leaves all over his body, each resembling a maple leaf.

As he crashed into the bumper and bounced, he kept his incoherent yelling going.

"Dabus! Subades is reprENSTATIVE of XAoS with OBSUREC SPEAK!"

31Knight24

Nicholas looked behind him, saw his car, heard a thud, and then some wierdo shouting.

"WHAT THE HELL!?"

Nicholas' jaw dropped.

"What the ******** happened to my car?!"

Nicholas just stared.

"What the ********?!"

His car looked... fruity.

"My car is ******** fruity!"

Durr....

"Who the ******** did this?!"

"...Jell-O?"

"Yup..."

"What the hell..."

"Who knows, but it's tastey..."

"What the... You're eating it?!"

"Why not?"

"I don't know, might have some strange effects."

Wierd fans... And who the ******** was that crazy man?

"Kill 'im!"

"Bash 'is skull in!"

"Crush 'is bones!"

"Rip out 'is heart!"

"Stomp on 'is nuts!"

Blood-thirsty fans ain't they.

32Mingan Nightwalker

The tiefling turned around to face Nicholas, smiled, and extended his hand.

"Hi. I'm Xaositect. If you want to know what happened to your car, let me explain."

His hand vanished suddenly, and with a frown, he shook his arm until it appeared back.

"Because the multiverse is based on variables and these variables fluctuate greatly in any given situation then therefore the results will drastically change from situation to situation. Now in accordance to this, I embody this philosophy, so therefore I am unpredictable to the extreme. Even my unpredictability is unpredictable. In other words, sometimes I act in a manner that you'd expect, being unpredictable because you expected me to act unexpectedly. Then sometimes I act in a manner you wouldn't expect, still being unpredictable because you expected me to act expectedly." he lectured, pointing at the car with the rat-flail.

"If this is confusing to you, then good because that's what Chaos Theory is: Confusing. If you've ever taken a lecture on Logic and really understood it then you're a better blood than I am. You see, as things go, most people think in that happy little multiverse we call reality, where certain things happen as they should, i.e. falling when we jump out of a tree, but then sometimes the rules change, i.e. a person lives when he's hit head on by a falling car. This is what you've got to keep in mind." he continued, indicating the speck of the albino falling back down to the earth.

"Any idiot can see that the order isn't natural. After all, the moment they leave the order they made falls apart, and things revert back to chaos. Don't fight the chaos, they say, embrace it. Chaos is beautiful, and one should lean to appreciate it's intricacy and randomness for it's own sake. As for the The Answer to the multiverse, truth lies in Chaos as well. After all, chaos is the natural state of the universe, so the only way to truly get a glimpse on the Big Meaning is to become one with the chaos, and let it's wonderful chance guide you."

He turned away to face the other team's motorcycle, and smiled.

"How about this...I display a high probability to to highly improbable things... In this way one can predict in general that any given action will be very hard to predict. Chaos is not about knowing what will happen, but rather what could possibly happen... much like this."

He pulled out a jar of glass peanut butter, and threw it at the motorcycle happily.

33Sunstrike

Sunstrike blinked in the still falling dust and also stepped to the left, facing the other man.

He looked at the defence...

and sneezed violently when dust got up his nose.

(5)

34Knight24

"....What the ********..."

Nicholas just stared at this batshit-insane person.

"Uhhhh...."

His ******** hand disappeared... And now a lecture?

"Uhhhhh... That's all fine and dandy but..."

Nicholas scratched his head.

"You didn't say anything about what happened..."

Nicholas' hand went back to his side.

"... to MY ******** CAR!"

He felt like smacking this nutcase with the rat-flail.

"...And what's with the ******** rat?"

"The hell... There's a car covered in feathers..."

"Yup."

"How can you be so calm?"

"It's HoH man..."

"Well, yeah, but..."

"Don't be so surprised man..."

"Yeah, Wierd s**t happens all the time..."

"Oh... Okay."

"How's the jell-O?"

"Good."

Wierd...

35Dyne Tazon

Dyne shrugged, then darted forth, a punch to be thrown seemingly carelessly in the direction of the target, yet the sleeves of the Tazon seemed to be uneffected by wind, why? The sleeves seemed to float as if Dyne were falling, but obviously not, and also the pant legs were puffing with air, seemingly, why?

The punch was aimed for the obvious torso.

5

36Mingan Nightwalker

Xaositect pointed at the man and smiled.

"This is what happened- OOPS!"

As he fumbled the rat-flail, a dart of light shot out of his a** and bounced around for a second before hitting the man's clothes.

With a sudden flash, his clothes changed into a Star Fleet captain's clothes- specifically, Captain Kirk.

"Uh, ********. I meant to explain that I have no control of my magic at all and that whenever I try to use it, random things happen that I have no control of."

"What.... the.... ********..."

He was dressed like.... Captain Kirk?!

"The hell..."

Suddenly, he was overcome with an urge... One he could not resist...

"Captain's Log, Stardate 85. My car is covered in feathers! Also, I think someone stole my jar of peanut butter..."

And he bust out in laughter.

And some overweight, pimple-faced, greasy teenager swooned.

"Captain Kirk! Captain Kirk! May I have your autograph?!"

And that same fat, pizza-faced, grease-covered nerd tumbled down the cliff like a pillbug.

"Heh, Nerds are funny..."

"Yup."

And another nerd stood up, shouted something in some strange gibberish language, put his fist to his chest, and suddenly passed out.

"The hell..."

38AcaciaDamia

A shadow swept across the sun, a winged siluette descended at the side of the crater opposite to where the first fight was taking place, was it an angel? Hardly, more like an abomination of nature, Acacia avoided the small crowd of spectators that had made their way to the crater, perching herself at its very edge with a pair of small binoculars hanging from her neck, glossy black feathered wings protruded from her back just below the shoulder blades, they still hurt right at the base where they had forced their way out, trails of smooth black scales ran down her body standing out against alabaster skin. She smiled up at the hot sun and raised her binoculars to her eyes to watch the excitement.

39Vahn Fah

He honestly didn't really know what he should be feeling or doing at the moment. The current rampant idiocy was really starting to throw itself into the twilight zone, while the rest of his team was just trying to focus on the fight.

"This is why we can't have nice things."

40Shouyin

STRIKER § OFFENSIVE

41Shouyin

"Well then," Shouyin would be positioned anywhere from eight to ten metres from the fighting pair, off to the southwest if Sunstrike was facing north. Ten seconds to operate within, piece o' cake. He'd stomp his right heel into the earth as he put his left foot in front, and then turn his right foot forty-five degrees clockwise, raising his right arm up above his head, axe in hand. Like clockwork, layers of rock would shoot out around Dyne's feet, circling around them and holding him in place, poised with his arm almost fully extended to execute the punch.

"IT'S A TRAP!" as soon as Dyne was sealed Shouyin would be off running towards him. He'd rear back his right arm, sliding the switch on the Tearbringer down into the Impact position as he brought his arm down and let the hatchet fly. Shou had enough practice tossing the thing to be able to get by at this distance, as long as he packed on the force. No gentle lob or nothing, he swung that thing like a baseball. The bladed edge was aimed to sink in above Dyne's right kidney, smacking into his rib cage from behind as the mechanism within the axe head went off. A slight ding would be heard as the bell was smacked within the blade, causing it to vibrate at a frequency more than sufficient enough to allow the axe to slice right through Dyne's ribs and wedge itself in his body.

Of course it wouldn't be there long as the half-golem cleared the distance between himself and Dyne, reaching out with his right hand to swiftly remove the axe with a good gory sort of sound and run right past. Shou would rely on Sunstrike to keep his opponent busy enough for the man to be able to retrieve his weapon and make his way outta there, but otherwise it was just a sick little guerrilla move, occuring easily within the ten second limit for such things.

42Sunstrike

Shouyin Wrote:

"IT'S A TRAP!"

Sunstrike didn't pause, he dove down low, and to the right, followed presumably by Dyne and his punch.

However, when he rolled upright, it was to hear Shou's voice and a flash of silver as Tearbringer whirred through the air.

He didn't wait to see if the axe would slide home on the other side.

His opponents attention was drawn, and feet were bound, that's all that mattered. Even if Dyne swerved to meet the new threat, that still left Sunstrike and a shaft of metal and wood with a six foot length in reach of the other mans jaw.

Axe and elemental closed in on Dyne in almost trained accuracy.

Tearbringer went for the ribs and lungs, and Sunstrike's staff used it's reach for the uppercut to the bottom of a chin, over the shoulder or through the outstretched arms, it didn't matter, he didn't even need to move forward.

It would be like an uppercut punch with the added bonus of brass knuckles, hard enough to crack the stone that bound the other mans feet.

The reflection of red even passed along the spinning axe's surface as Sun drove his own home.

Which the media made a large fuss about with slow motion captioning.

(6)

43Dyne Tazon

Dyne's arm and leg wear were not floating for no reason. The elemental strike would prove sucessful as stone would clamp about Dyne's ankles, this consisting of his right foot two feet before his left foot which was angled at an incline behind him. Dyne's peripheral and hearing catching the other male (striker) at the same time as the unsuspecting elememental attack, if it weren't for the preparation earlier, he would have been screwed.

"It's a" Dyne needed no more, the Tazon would allow his torso and head to reel back, in a drunken fighter's manner, the punching arm which only had time to recede just a bit, would now be open palmed, the left arm would be flung limply to it's respective side.

[slow motion]

As Dyne shifted his torso in the manner stated above, his opponent's roll would be unstopable, his right hand remained out and his palm opened as the axe's hilt, like metal to a magnet of gravity would be enough to allow him to grab the hilt, and bring the flat of the axe forth into a homerun slam to Sun's left temple. The swing, would cause Dyne to turn his torso once more swfitly, but not in time to dodge the Staff entirely at his current stationary position, the staff would crash into the limp left arm's shoulder blade.

[/slow motion]

Of course the human was not moving at the normal limits a human should, this was of course, due to the altered gravity about Dyne's arms, a sharp yelp exited Dyne as the staff hit, as soon as the axe (would make)/made contact, Dyne would let it go, allowing it to fly right out of his grasp, the pain was unbearable, the hold on the gravity altered arms gone.

44AcaciaDamia

Acacia blinked through her binoculars.

"Maybe it would have been a better investment to buy a video camera so I could slo-mo that move later." She thought she knew what had just happened but wasn't exactly sure HOW he had done it. She lowered the binoculars and looked to the sun which was heating up quite a bit, it was time to grab some shade, but if she did she wouldn't be able to see what was going on, it looked like it was time to MAKE some shade. She knelt down and traced her hands through the dirt looking for something to work with, smileing to herself she had found what she was looking for, a tiny seed was in the ground just waiting for its chance, well today was its lucky day, a little sprout soon popped up from the ground and began to grow at an amazing rate. It was like watching one of those time lapse videos of a flower blooming, except it was actually happening, a tree was growing feeding off Acacia's power it was soon at a decent size, though quite low to the ground, with one of its bigger branches hanging straight over the edge of the crater with little branches leading out to it like steps, she smile and whispered a silent hello to her new little friend, and it whispered back.

"Perfect." She said as she easily made her way to the overhanging branch, the treetop leaves seemed to stretch over above her at just the right angle.

45DarthVizzle

By now, the fighter had crouched down to watch the fight, his calloused fingerpads pressed into the find dust coating the rough soil behind him to keep him propped up as he leaned back, resting on his heels and fingers. His eyes idly flickered over to Shouyin at the exclamation of ''IT'S A TRAP'', watching the axe fly through the air. Even if Carius was in a position to try and stop the Striker, he couldn't, as from what he could tell, it was against the rules. However, in the short time he'd known Dyne, and from what he'd seen the man do, he was fairly certain that he would deal with the problem in kind.

Unlike Nicholas, though, Carius had not been affected at all by the wild mage's antics, or his lengthy speech. The fight proved fairly interesting to him, and he simply watched on in his awkward position, not even so much as looking at the oddly dressed man speaking to the captain of his team. Hell, he hadn't even known that his friend had fallen down the cliffside. Not that he'd made a move to help him if he did know, since, who knows, that might get him in trouble. He wasn't on the up and up with the rules, and he'd admit to it. He'd learned them well enough to get into the tournament, he didn't read the fine print.

46Mingan Nightwalker

With no warning at all, the Wildmage simply vanished. Whether or not he'd actually managed to successfully pull off a teleport or tried to further vandalize everything that wasn't actively in combat was entirely unknown.

Arriving in his place instead was the much-less insane black-blooded albino, who simply smiled, finished off his massive toke, and put his pants back on, content to watch and heckle without resorting to insanity.

"What tha- cough - ******? Captain ****** Kirk? cough" he asked, more confused than ever.

47Sunstrike

Crack!

There was a crunch and blood spattered through the air. Sunstrike had taken the hit, but thankfully not to his head, which was definately the intent. Muscles moved in odd ways under his skin before settling again.

What had stopped the motion of the axe looked almost like the elbow of a second, smaller left arm, but for the webbing attached. It was a wing, drawn from the left side. Useless in flight, but...handy for other things.

As soon as the right shoulder blade was slammed into, his grip reversed, new appendage pushing away against the axehead and opening Dyne's exposed and weakening side and stance, as the wing automatically started snapping into shape.

This time the blow would come down sharply against the right kneecap, aiming to cripple the trapped leg.

(7)

48Vahn Fah

He seemed to be relaxed enough, leaning against the side of Shouyin's car as he watched the fight go on. With the random 'chaos' happening on the other side of the fence, so to speak, he was left with nothing to do but focus on the fight in it's entirety.

It'd been odd how Sunstrike's opponent had carried himself thus far... the clothing had not been acting as it should, the speed and timing for everything was off-- or sometimes too fluid.

However, after Shouyin had moved in for a striker, it became obvious... there was more to the man than just decent CQC.

"...."

He half wondered how the other fighters were doing...

49Shouyin

"Tch!" Shouyin wouldn't be able to get his axe back on his own at this point, no time to pick it up what with his momentum, but as he went running past, he could certainly help Sunstrike out. Throwing the Tearbringer really had been ill-advised, however he'd damn well retrieve the thing later on, probably while the guy was unconscious or somethin'. Just snatch it up off the ground 'n all.

The half-golem shifted his angle mid-run, so that with his feet trapped as they were, Dyne wouldn't be able to reach him easily or quick enough with his own weapon, basically putting himself at the man's back. While Sun blocked with his wing and went to smash Dyne's lead leg in, Shouyin would make one heavy stomp with his right foot, shifting it counter-clockwise somewhat as he jumped forwards at his opponent. The stomp would cause a column of stone to come out straight at a forty-five angle to Dyne's left shin. It would be large enough, hard enough, and moving quickly enough to break the bone right in two what with the man's feet being trapped. And that little shift afterwards would make the stone already around his feet twirl around them more fiercely, tightening enough to almost instantly crush the bones.

And then of course there was the whole flying right knee to the spine and stone-armed elbow to the back of the head.

Once that was all over and done with he'd just go running past, striker ovar.

50Dyne Tazon

It was expected that Dyne wasn't dealing with a human, this was after all "H.o.H." The un-armed, gravity manipulating human, would have quite a horrid road of pain before him.

Dyne's eyes widened as the wing came snapping outwards, the flat of the axe smashing into the damned' appendage, the axe went loose within Dyne's grasp (As stated in Dyne's prior post) sending it springing the opposite direction, which at the same time the staff's ground end would move up for the knee blow.

Shouyin, who of course Dyne was not expecting, would now be shifting his angle within mid-run, contact with joint and staff would be made, and a sickening PORAAACK would emit from the knee, bone stabbing through cloth on the opposite side of the blow, at this instant, Shouyin would and should be about ready to perform a stomp.

PAAAIN

"AAARRRRRAAAA"

The instinct within the pain ridden mind of the Kinesis user's mind was to, KILL with an instant rage inflicted thrust forth, all of the General's attire floating about the male's skin. Dyne would fail at lunging, but would accomplish bending his torso at the waist (his feet were stuck and his knee was broken), while his injured arm's palm would clench the side of his face, of course this would happen as he bent, just then the additional pain from the throbbing shoulder blade would resound in his head.

Shouyin's stomp was made, and the jagged earth came rushing out at the same time that a wave of gravity came roaring out around the Tazon, gravitons that called to the gravity user's yell would act out on the impulse of his mind.

The red head who was currently the closest, would suffer the blast at close range, the binds of Earth were literally shattered, clothing fabric rippled and tore at sections upon Dyne, the Officer's hat flying right off his skull as the force of clustered gravitons smacked like a flexible metal wall into the Red head at his side, enough to send the man flying back in an instant, perhaps breaking a few bones in the process considering the male was low to the ground.

Shouyin, if he still had nerve to continue his sprint forth, would be met with the wall, but not as effective considering he wasn't as close as the stone clamps had been, or his teammate.

The earth that had already made its move would now be skidding across a kneeling Dyne's outer thigh (This of course was because the clamps around Dyne's ankles/feet were no longer there to hold the man up), blood was all over the place now as the loose cells went with the spastic gravitons.

The radius of the gravity blast was close to ten feet if not a bit more. The two fighters had been lucky to get out of this alive, for sure, because for one, Dyne was tired, he was human, and did not have the capacity to launch an all around blast that could kill at a that range, the clamps of stone were only shattered because they were pressed against the blast zone at Dyne's feet, and lastly Dyne had not wasted time concentrating on a direct blast at all, as stated above.

((

Shouyin Wrote:

Jump! Floating enemies are unaffected by gravity spells! ))

One minute Sunstrike was landing a blow, the next...

The guy exploded as if Sun had driven his staff into a landmine. With a yelp, the red head was tossed a good ten foot, it was too bad that the edge wasn't exactly catering to such a wide strike.

Rocks, blood, and debris scattered as he tumbled head over arse halfway down the steep incline. Only 'waking up" and driving his staff into the dirt did he manage to slow, and finally stop, hanging off.

His left side was a bit of a mess of flesh and bone down his arm, wing and side, but he was still conscious and mostly whole.

Hauling himself into a better position he took a quick breather, anxious eyes staring up the slope. That had been a big boom, he kinda hoped there was enough left over of his opponent for an apology for hitting a sore spot.

( 8 )

52Shouyin

DON. Shouyin's foot stomped, muscles tensing in the leg as he set himself to leap into the air and help his teammate finish this guy off. The stone column would shoot out and he'd clench his right fist, grinding stone in the prosthetic palm, the attack fresh in his mind. However, he paused, holding his left heel down against the ground a second longer then planned, putting himself in a wide-legged sort of horse stance with his right side positioned towards Dyne. It was an instinctual move, the energy collecting within that target syncing just briefly with Shou's bioelectricity, those two different sets of -rage- saying hello before they exploded with one another.

Shou's left hand was in a fist at his hip, right held out in front, as if challenging what was to come.

He tensed his stomach.

The wall of gravity rushed past Shouyin, forcing air into his nostrils and throwing his silvery grey hair back, blurring those bright green eyes as he stared directly into the gale. The earth under his feet gave way before he did, causing the fighter to slide backwards as if he was on a conveyor belt of dirt, remaining immobile as he withstood the blast. Every muscle stood out flexed tightly; a man of stone, a man of iron. He'd be well away from the fighting pair when it dissipated, the striker officially over as he slid his right foot back and raised both arms, lowering them slow but with concentrated force as he exhaled deeply.

"Osuuuu..."

He'd gather his axe and go stand beside Vahn.

53Knight24

STRIKER OFFENSE!

54Knight24

With nothing more then a flick of his wrist, Nicholas started an offensive striker.

With more than enough speed to fire out like a bullet, the three orbs of living metal shot out and headed straight towards Sun, wasting no time in closing the gap between the new Captain Kirk and the now stranded fighter. Three orbs, three seperate attacks. With an abrupt halt, all three orbs stopped in mid-air, about five feet from the fighter, above him.

[Self-moving]

9 Seconds.

They moved swiftly with a blur, moving into a position of a triangle, still above Sun. They waited for no more than a second.

8 Seconds.

They acted. Orb B, located at the bottom left of the triangle, shifted. It seemed to be liquid now, and from it emerged a single tendril, tip like a razor, pointed and essentially like and arrow, half an inch wide and two-thirds an inch long. They weren't very long yet, but they would be soon. Orb C, located at the bottom right of the triangle, mirrored Orb B. Near perfect timing between the two, the attack was prepared.

[Shifting of form]

7 Seconds.

Orb A didn't shift or move, it simply remained where it was, ready. A strike to the skull from this would probably end up in a KO, maybe a fracture.

6 Seconds.

They moved suddenly, Orb B and C's tendrils launching forward, poised to pierce Sun's left and right shoulders respectively, aiming for the joint. The orbs would get smaller as the tendrils got longer, seeking to pretty much disable Sun's arms completely.

[Tendrils]

5 Seconds.

Orb A remained, poised to act if the others failed. Removing Sun from the standings and the fight was the plan... And unlike other attacks, these tendrils would follow Sun's movements should he attempt to escape...

"Whoa, They just went flying back..."

"Yup."

"How?"

"Not sure."

"Must be a power..."

"Probably."

"Lots of blood..."

"Yup."

"Got a beer?"

"Nope."

"You suck."

While the fans continued to cheer, a few of them became somewhat bored. Hasn't been too entertaining apparently. The crowds were still fairly split between Team XD and Glacier.

"Kill 'im!"

"Knock 'im out!"

"Tear 'is arms off!"

"Crush 'im!"

55Dyne Tazon

Dyne's left palm which was already clutching at the side of his skull, would just now begin to adjust his posture in the direction of the about to get pwned, red head. The Tazon would take these valuable few seconds as a means of gaining control of his brain and figuring a way to begin moving once more with a ******** up leg, it was bleeding from two wounds, one being a deep slash, and the other being a broken joint. Great...

The blood gushed.

8

56Sunstrike

Sunstrike was looking up the hill when he saw the flash over the edge.

Like it or not, no matter how fast, light is faster, and it reflects off metal.

Pulling at his staff, which had been a rather impromptu seat, almost instantly he slid a bit further down the slope. Forcing what were now apparently metal balls to quickly change they're trajectory and compensate for the movement, and also eating at precious seconds.

Sunstrike wasn't blind or daft, and there wasn't a lot of time to strategize any other way out. Left shoulder was already messed up from Dynes gravity wall, the left orb found it's target.

The right one found itself embedded into the palm of a left hand intstead of a right shoulder as Sunstrike grabbed it out of the air. If both had been synced, then both would have landed intstantly into the muscle and palm, leaving the last to compensate for.

The eyes narrowed and the staff bent easily under his weight as he lowered himself trying to ignore the spikes now embedded in his clenched hand and shoulder.

(9)

57Knight24

And so the other orb did react, having followed the others with Sun's slide. It expanded to roughly the size of a tennis ball, while the other two orbs, now tendrils, stiffened. More like small rods now about a foot in length and a quarter inch in width, the 'arrow-heads' would remain while small barbs would jut out along the length of the rods.

2 Seconds.

All three orbs would 'launch' forward again, Orbs B and C pretty much guaranteed to shred Sun's left shoulder and hand, pretty much disabling said arm for good untill he gets some pretty good medical treatment. As for Orb A, it would 'launch' forward at Sun's head, aiming for his forehead. If it hit, it'd hurt like a b***h, leave a bruise, swell, and probably cause a knockout. Not to mention a serious headache, and probably pursuing migraines.

1 Second.

With the striker pretty much over, the orbs would make a U-turn after their movement/attack, heading straight back to Nicholas' right wrist to rest in their holding places on the bracelet.

Nicholas' striker had been used, and he had barely moved...

"You think that's a ringout?"

"Probably."

"More than likely."

"Yeah, Cause I doubt he'd get back up any time soon..."

"Hey! You do have a beer!"

"Oh, yeah..."

"b*****d."

Were the fans' speculations true? Was Sun going to lose against Dyne? Will that unknown fan ever get his beer? Find out next time!

58Dyne Tazon

Dyne kept a wary eye on the damage being dealt, it would seem the strikers from both teams did more damage to the fighters rather then the fighters themselves.

The human would now be sitting on his a**, the bone which "chilled" on through the torn fabric of the knee region, would begin to gush less blood, and also from the wound only inches above it. Dyne was applying pressure (with his good hand of course) and would soon find a way to stop blood loss altogether with just a few more seconds of figuring a way out in doing so.

9

59Shouyin

Another fan came up from behind the pair chatting about the match, clearing his throat to garner some attention.

"No ringouts in the crater, didn't you read the arena description?" he blinked at the pair and tried to get a better look.

60Sunstrike

"smilies/icon_eek.gif smilies/icon_gonk.gif"

It was...a fluke. Turned out the dirt wasn't quite as stable or well formed enough to hold a staff with a full grown man leaning all his weight onto one side of it.

Sunstrike had probably meant to flip kick or do something much cooler and impressive to the tennis ball, but it all went pearshaped for both it and Sun.

He dodged the last part of the striker by tumbling the rest of the way down the hill and onto the shoreline. The tennis ball hit the suddenly released quarterstaff with a crack, and the one in his shoulder was ripped painfully out of his skin.

There was a couple of splashes and a kerplunk as the last homing metallic ball ended up in the drink by way of skipping a few times.

The one in his hand wasn't going anywhere. It would stay embedded in his palm even as the second was free to join the other.

Dust settled around his form as he pulled himself upright, briused, bleeding, filthy, and thumbing his nose with his good hand with a grin and his tounge half stuck out. The staff itself became embedded into the earth like an old friend coming home. It was one for the front page of magazine articles.

The tug was still there, it vibrated along his arm painfully, the grin was really a grimace, the tounge was cause he'd bit it on the way down. And the staff had very nearly impaled his bloody foot.

In all reality he wasn't so well off, but he'd start back up the hill anyway, using his weapon and right arm to haul himself up. His left arm was limp, with rivulets of blood that only were stopped by the grit that had embedded itself along the wounds.

He had the time...there were no ring outs in this area.

(10)

61Dyne Tazon

By the time the injured red head would begin the uphill walk, Dyne had already regulated his breathing and tied an already torn sleeve above the wound which in turn was above the broken knee.

To much time had been wasted in this match alone, it was time to end this in a civilized manner. The Tazon, with his good arm, would prop himself in the direction of the red head, yards away, his good leg bent at the knee while his left arm lay limply besides it. Was Dyne "chillin'?"

The good arm raised swiftly, the wrist breaking, fingers spreading half inches between digits as the open palmed faced downwards at the other male. The young General closed his eyes, cool wind took his mind into another state of mind, caressing his crimson hair and ragged clothing.

End... Dyne was preparing for something, big, well as big as it got with whatever calories could be burned by his brain before passing out, melee was an obvious out, so he would have to rely on his second best

method of pwnge.

62tegi4

Rocks tumbled down into the depth of the crater with Horekoshu being the cause. He was sliding down the wall of the crater where he wouldn't have to deal with any fighting right away. He had plans first.

Once he reached the edge of the land and water, he withdrew his sword with a fierce gust of wind following. What would he do??? Who the hell knows??? Only him...for now.

Dipping the tip of his sword into the water, he tapped the handle roughly. The vibrations from the tapping would transfer into the water. For a moment only ripples drifted across the water's horizon, naturally from an amplifying blade. But what was this? The blade began to morph madly while Horekoshu was still tapping the hilt. The vibrations from the sounds of the tapping would be turned up and up in waves that constantly built up from mere changes in sound formation. Soon enough the amplifying blade would be turned up massively causing the ripples to turn into waves that flew across the waters until reaching the other side. It kept going though, like a terrible storm in the ocean without the change in weather.

Point of this??? Just wait and watch.

63Joseph Brown

Horekoshu could freely travel into the crater as long as he was far away from the match currently in progress. Because, you know, you can't influence match outside of the rules. Thats why there was something looming behind him.

An armoured hand would grab onto his upper arm the moment his sword made anything larger than a ripple.

"No effecting the area of play while not under special rule, striker condtion or currently in offical combat." The judge would announce, "If the current opponents wish to use the pool at the bottom of the field, they must be able to do so without worring about unsanctioned outside influences."

There were no flags, just a stern warning.

64Sunstrike

Sunstrike made a noise that sounded an awful lot like a frustrated sigh. Every strategic bone in his body was saying no to this, but the outlay of the land didn't give him much choice.

The other guy had been pretty messed up, but it hadn't been the legs that had screwed him over last time. He was fighting someone uphill of him.

Blood trailed down the weapon helping him up, seeping into small runes located at least in one end. He pushed his hand to the ground, and his eyes widened as he got an idea.

A stone would crest the hill and land with a small thunk, uncomfortably close to where Dyne was. Another would follow. They had blood all over them, but that was nothing new, considering the state Sunstrike was in.

( 11 )

65Vahn Fah

This fight had definitely taken some interesting turns... to say the least.

Shouyin's agressiveness never changed, and it made Vahn wonder if maybe he was getting soft in his 'old' age. The rookie (hell could he even be called that anymore? He'd probaly be able to kick Vahn's a** as well) had shown nothing but a business-like handle on the task at hand.

There was no fancy footwork, or specatuclar technique. No pretty lights or transformation sequence.

You win fights by being a strong man or a clever boxer. You win fights by being more prepared to permanently ******** up the other guy.

The single yellow eye widened as the other side's striker had gone under way. It took everything he had in him to merely stand there and watch, with Shouyin's head slightly turned in the same direction, but his back to most of it.

This was the core of Glacier.

You had to learn to take it in stride, and not interfere in a man's fight when it wasn't called for. After all, no one was going to be babied or have their hand held...

He's seen worse... been through worse...

Of Glacier's assembled group, Sunstrike was the most enigmatic. He appeared to always be happy-go-lucky and good-natured, and acted like a fool half the time--- but in reality he was just as perceptive as Vahn, and skilled enough to hold his own against Maximos' darker persona.

Sunstrike was intelligent and imaginative, with his flame arts.

Dangerously so.

However, with the recent course of actions...

"....." He could only watch as Sun's opponent seemed to regain somewhat of a second wind, despite the damage his body was going through. Incredible... it's gruesome to look at... but..

And Sun was making his way back up the crater, intent on finishing the job... but not before... apparently lobbing stones...?

66Dyne Tazon

Dyne still had his eyes closed when the first rock landed near him, the only show of the man acknowledging the THUMP and impact of the rock, was the quick impulse of clenching his eyes tighter. But it did not matter, in the time it took for the man to bend down and pick up the future projectiles, the Tazon would already be ready to unleash his final blow.

The outstretched palm turned side-ways as the first rock landed near him, his fingers curled slightly as if to grab something side-ways, this of course didn't take much of a second to perform, the human opened his eyes instantly as in unison the palm closed shut, smothering whatever could have been within the space inside the palm region.

Gravitons clustered about the enemy red head's torso, since he was wounded and now slower a target, it had been easier to concentrate on what portion of the body to target, which was, the torso.

In the instance the fingers dug into Dyne's palm, the target would notice a sudden tug at either side of their rib-cage, and then, like being hit on either side with two very heavy metallic clubs, enough to break the rib cages instantly (and with luck, puncture a few innards with a broken rib), if not crack them.

Sadly for Dyne, as HIS eyes opened, he'd be just in time to see a good sized rock SLAM into his current good knee (which the rock quickly rolled on away due to impact) which was bent upwards to allow the injured one to relax slightly.

If the knee had been down, his chest would have been hit. The only outburst from this blow was a quick roll to his left side and bad shoulder, sending another jolt of pain, a string of curses emited, attention was lost to the red head for now, Dyne had already performed what he had to do anyway and hopefully, that would end the fight.

67Sunstrike

Sunstrike froze midtoss as something felt like it brushed against his sides. Not knowing what to expect, he wound up and threw the last few stones even as his insides felt as though someone had hit him with a car. His knuckles turned white as multiple poppings were heard.

"Hck!" Blood spattered as he coughed it up onto the dry ground. Knew it, freaking hill... With a soft huff of pain he paused only for a moment, in which time his right wing ripped out of his skin, shards of cartilidge showing what had taken the brunt of the blow.

Oh that was the last straw. He wheezed, picking up a final stone, as big as his fist, and inscribed something on it with his thumb.

Grinding his feet in to hold himself up, he tossed the object into the air, yanked out his staff, and met the stone with the metal end.

Instead of shattering, there was an explosion of sparks as the object lit up like a comet, flying up to land with the others, dispersed at various lengths around Dyne.

It landed with a thud, and the others, all with bloody fire runes of their own, charged and went off with the effect of a small grenade each. The explosions weren't huge on any sort of a scale, but they kicked up the dust enough for Sunstrike to actually make it to the edge, heaving, wings both broken and out of shape.

Dyne would already be recovering from his the blow to his knee, he had a nasty little bruise there. THUMP THUMP THUMP More rocks fell, yards from Dyne. What the ********> The man was still standing, is what he would notice as the human glanced down the hill, the red head currently begining a process to pick up another rock. How much blood did this man have!?

Oh, shi- At this point Dyne would notice that the red head had thrown the future projectile airborne, and with that he was begining a batters swing, Dyne instantly felt his veins kick up with whatever little adrenaline he had left and with his good leg, kicked at the ground from his sitting strange sitting position, sending the General straight into an arc with only feet between him and the ground, head first.

The human even saw as the flaming rock went go by, but he wouldn't bother seeing it land. He was like a ragdoll, and his trajectory was the redhead. The good hand came forth before Dyne, open palmed too.

BANG, BOOM, BANG The rocks exploded.

He didn't know what he'd accomplish with this, but 140 pounds was about to make contact.

69Kanashimi Kurai

Kana had finally managed to locate the crater and stood at the edge of the fighting area. Had she missed all the fights? Was it over already? And, was that Sunny at the edge? "Sunny?" Darn, had she missed his fight? So many questions. Either way, there she stood, hands clasped behind her back, looking at the mess that was Sunny and his opponent as well as the huge effing crater before her.

70Vahn Fah

STRI~KER

71Vahn Fah

He'd been watching long enough, even as the two made their apparent final gambits.

Sunstrike was certainly not human. Although it was easy to mistake him for one since he was human in appearence. His true form... well, it had been seen at the HoH finals, and Vahn would ensure it wouldn't happen again.

Vahn couldn't be sure if Dyne was completely human, but he was able to hold his own, and would have probaly shown much more had Shouyin not done so much damage.

Yet they both continued onward, despite the injuries, despite the blood loss--- and for what? There was no point in dying... dying meant you couldn't fight again... and he would want to fight again.

Any self respectable fighter lived for the fight itself-- not a win or lose.

Nobody should have to die this day.

Nobody would.

While Shouyin had covered the distance by dashing in, Vahn wouldn't be even moving at all, the only indication of what was happening was the FIGHTER registering the striker assault, even as he pressed the respective button on the touch pad.

The right side of his body was still usable and thats all he really needed for this.

Vahn brought his right hand up to shoulder height. Then, with a sudden twist of the hips that put all of his body weight into the motion, he dropped down and slammed his fist into the ground, releasing a blast of built up heat energy from his own body into it.

I wonder...

The opponent would never see it coming. The heat shot through the ground underneath the surface, instantly boiling all of the moisture in the earth between where his fist struck, and the leaping opponent.

..if it wasn't for the stone that blocked your way... could you have risen enough to make me want to lose...

All at once, the built up pressure underneath the ground erupted in a column of steam that tore open the earth in a line between Vahn and Dyne. Anything unfortunate enough to be in that line would be launched into the air by the surge of shock that was expelled through superheated gasses, receiving at most, third-degree burns, and feeling like they had just received a full-body uppercut.

In other words, Dyne, already hanging in mid-air, would receive even more hangtime as rag doll physics came into play, sending his form straight up, only to come crashing back down.

The ground surge, a variation of the One Inch Heat, would end uncomfortably close to Sunstrike's nose, searing him a bit as well, before it completely dissipated.

Vahn had struck as much to save Dyne from further damage, as much as to actually end the round already. It seemed like they both had had enough... the slack could be picked up in the next round after all.

72Sunstrike

I'm not...

Sunstrike glared Dyne down even as the other man practically threw himself towards Sun's ravaged body. He was ready, he was...

gonna fall...again...??!

Heat exploded in front of him like a blow to the face, knocking his goggles askew, strange eyes blinking in the light. Considering Sun's affinity to the element, he wasn't more then ashmarked as pieces of burnt dust stuck, but the force was still enough to make him stand and stare in shock.

HOW DARE HE RESCUE ME AGAIN?! Raging, he threw out the wounded left arm to his side and braced himself in case his opponent had anything left after that, mind disolving into curses and snarls.

( 13 )

73Dyne Tazon

CREEEEEECCKKKKKKKKK FUUUUU The cracking of the Earth, and Vahn's striker attack, would be a dead give away that the trajectory of the move was to strike Dyne. Sadly, he had nothing to defend himself.

Dyne was struck, the massive fist of heat would tear at the fabric in a large radius about the stomach region of the human. Burnt bare flesh replaced toned abs covered by black and white fabric, not only that, a new arc was formed from the impact of the blast, but a new idea as well.

Breath was loss from Vahn's strike, but not the flow of adrenaline, which suppressed the instant pain, he would definitely feel the blow later on when he had time to relax. In a spiral up above, he faced the sky faced downwards face first, his backside pointing upwards at the sky, it was a freakish sight to see as both legs, broken and healthy were outstretched by gravity below the torso as well as his arms, multiple smells emitted. Burnt flesh, the sweet metallic smell of blood, and then the smell of sweat under all these layers.

Dyne's good arm slapped at the air like a swimmer in water, a pulse of gravitons clustered at this motion right under the palm, re-creating the trajectory of the arc straight into the rain made body of water at the center of the Crater.

Splash Dyne thought as he slammed face first into five to six feet of water, blood and massacred flesh swam from the General. Not done...Not...done... Dyne was done, and it was up to the paramedics to save his a** from drowning.

His mind faded into unconciousness, he had taken two strikers including the target. That red head was lucky, if it weren't for the Axe wielder, the Tazon would have torn him apart, within lively limits. Dyne planned on taking on each of Glacier's current strikers in a one on one match after the tournament.

It would be up to the rest of Team XD to make up for this loss.

13 - Match 1 ended.

74Sunstrike

Sunstrike blinked a few times as Dyne was plunged into the lake below, trying to get his temperature back to normal. That had been...closer then he'd liked for his first fight, and he wasn't talking about the shape he was in.

What was I being driven to? Silence answered him, she wasn't chatty at the best of times.

As the adrenaline wore down, the pain decided to embrace him and he clutched his weapon as more support then anything else. That could have gone better...or worse. He began to walk over to his own side, probably passing Shouyin on the way.

Reaching Vahn he paused for a second, not looking at the other man, before making his way to the medics and seating himself crosslegged on the stretcher, letting them cart him off to go get his arm and sides sorted out.

75Vahn Fah

"....." He didn't offer any words or apologies. He shouldn't have to explain his actions to the redhead, of all people. After all, he'd done well enough to stand by as long as he did...

There was no point to be made when two mangled bodies flailed at each other. Sunstrike would simply have to realize that Vahn hadn't acted to save him.

It was to stop them both.

"So then... who's next?"

76Sunstrike

Overkill.

Sunstrike watched in slight facination as the medic started to pull the skin away from the metal.

"What was that? I was miles away..."

"I said...I hope this isn't a hand you plan on using for a while..." Sunstrike wasn't really sure what context to use that in, so he opted for the innocent responce.

"Guess I'll have to learn how to be right-handed then." There was an odd squelchy, sucking, pop as the metal spike was finally ripped out of the flesh.

"So you'll be fighting more then?" Wow, this guy was chatty.

"Dunno, we'll see what my keeper decides." Sarcasm laced the remark slightly. Sun was hurt over the last striker inside, and it showed. Like I'm some sort of caged animal that needs babysitting.

"You've had a lot of time to decide what to do for yourself, Sunstrike." Glasses were adjusted as they slipped down a nose. "Or was that little geographical stunt of yours the final straw." The hand under the lamp twiched and Sun's knuckles went white under the lamp. Through all the iodine, he'd not recognized it before.

The guy smelled ********.

A darker shadow at the back of the tent folded it's arms and grunted, listening to the exchange. Dr. Morose just calmly kept stiching the gaping wound.

"You're really too hard to keep track of you know...if you even knew how much equiptment gets lost, stolen, or downright killed you'd die of...haha guilt."

Everyone else was watching the fight...and here I am...not good.

"Don't look so worried, Sun. We are here out of the goodness of our hearts, volunteer medics for the fights, you know?" The man fell into silence, for him a comfortable one, since he was obviously totally in control of the situation, and Sun into a completely panic striken one.

Last time this had happened, he'd been just as helpless, just as...No. That's not right... He shook his head, hoping to clear it a little.

"Why do I feel so numb?"

"Anestetic and morphine, believe me, they're your friends right now."

Bullshit.

"We're very...keen to keep an eye on you through this event though, and would enjoy your company afterwards. I'm sure there could be some arrangement made." Sun winced as the needle dug deeper then necessary.

"Yeah...maybe." What the hell was he saying?! But it wasn't like this would go away...he watched as his hand was gently turned over and stiched on the other side.

The wire was a strange green mesh, and something inside Sun said that it was helping rather then hindering. He let go of the bench, his hand print slightly burned into it.

"Someone's already tried to take me apart...it doesn't work..."

"That's not what we're proposing...it will all come to light eventually. Close your eyes, Sun, you're tired. I'll be done when you wake up, and you can go watch the rest of them fight in a moment."

Yea right... Sunstrike just looked at the other man and then watched as he stiched and bandaged all the worst parts of the arm. The wings had alread been rebroken and placed back where they belonged, around his now aching ribcage.

When everything was done, he'd leave the tent, staff in hand, just watched by a smiling doctor and his hulking assistant.

Life was really a b***h, now.

77Shouyin

"Ch'!" Shouyin rotated his left shoulder around, flexing the fingers and making a tight fist, wincing at the pain it caused. He grinned his way through it though, throwing his right hand back and resting the top half of the axe hilt on that shoulder. Despite the one injury, he remained in ******** -peak- physical condition. Even under the thick grey t-shirt, Osiris logo in the center of the chest, it was obvious what prime sort of state he was in.

The half-golem had spared no effort in ensuring he'd be absolutely ready for when he encountered the man who'd take him to that point he craved. That final desperation moment in combat that a fighter could only -dream- of, and Shou had tasted but once. However, once he'd gotten the real essence of it on his lips-- knew what it felt like to be unleashed, he was determined to reach it again. You only got stronger by lifting the heaviest weight you could, you only got stronger by beating the toughest opponent you could; Shouyin would get stronger by ******** decimating everything in sight.

Of course, this'd just be one step up on the ladder, a notch in the belt so to speak, but that didn't matter.

"Alright. Oi, metalman!" he pointed at Nicholas. "Let's damn well get this over with."

78Eapon

A random Glacier fan stood in the scant ensemble of spectators near Team XD's vehicle. After watching their captain get beat around, he looked to the potential Strikers. "Try it, hashheads. They got all five senses an' they slept last night. Bet that puts 'em six up on a lotta you."

79tegi4

Horekoshu slid his sword back into his guard strapped to his back.

"Have it your way then." He said with a boring tone.

It didn't matter anyway, since now he had someone to fight. Only a silent catch of the words who's next drew his attention. And so he would climb the crater side to the top in order to meet the man asking for a challenge. His steps were gently taken but as well swiftly. The baggy gray sweatpants he wore were getting a little dirty from the small after rocks tumbling down the hill. None big enough to take him out though. His long red scarf was dragging behind him while the matching red headband he wore was starting to rip, oddly.

Finally he would reach the top, searching for Vahn. When he found the only man alone on the battlefield he figured he ought to prep up. He tore his headband off with his left hand and withdrew his sword with his right. Not for attacking intentions but for cutting his scarf off at the point of his shoulder-blades. And then, only then, was he ready.

"Yo! Let's brawl!"

80Vahn Fah

"Oh you don't want to fight me. I'm not as strong as the rest."

Smiling lightly, he raised his right hand, a bead of sweat running along the side of his cheek.

[ Match 2; Round 2 TIME LIMIT: 17 FIGHT!]

81tegi4

Horekoshu grinned in as a reaction.

"But that is fine. See, neither am I."

Only a moment after his words hung in the air between them did he start his attack. His right arm flexed to swing his sword horizontally towards Vahn. The whistle in the air would change continuously in pitch as pressure built from the waves building themselves. Following the path of the wave, the ground would tear upwards with rocks flying in every direction. Impact would severely cut Vahn some bloody gashes.

There fight would start right there.

17

82Vahn Fah

Still smiling, and that hand still raised-- that 'stance' would be kept even as his opponent swung. "!"

Considering how long he's been in the 'fighting' business, and the wide assortment of 'characters' he's come across in his travels, it wasn't too hard to figure that if a guy was swinging at you from a considerable distance (unless this guy had strode right up to his face), there was something comin' at ya regardless.

The sound in the air only proved his theory, even as the ground was torn up and the side of his jacket's left shoulder ripped, blood already splattering outwards.

"Ah... not a nice way to say hello." Still smiling, both feet would finally slide back against solid ground, as he stood there simply bleeding from the gash in his shoulder.

Vahn had evaded by simply pushing his body back and to the right, moving outside the estimated range of his opponent's 'air blade'. Being a horizontal slash, the tail end of it still managed to catch him.

As for how he could have moved fast enough--- the steam of heat against earth coming from his greaves was more than enough answer, except for the uneducated.

Focusing heat downwards through the greaves, Vahn had basically used a 'gliding' form of evasion, completely eliminating friction as a variable in his rate of travel. Both feet had been only a mere inch and half off the ground, more than enough for his pushing body to slide'n'glide his body.

And the frame rate in which he had thought all this out? Thanks to a certain band around his arm, retrieved in Petals of Chaos, Vahn's thinking was able to slip outside the normal space of time-- increasing tactical thinking by ten seconds, while no time would pass in the 'real' world.

[TIMELIMIT : 16]

83tegi4

His eyes watched his opponent fly across the surface. What speed, he thought. His knees shook slightly and his hands had to reassure his grip on the hilt of his sword. He wasn't about to be disappointed. Him or his opponent.

Horekoshu positioned his feet even with his shoulders and stood straight. He shook all the shakes out and concentrated on following his opponent's movements. Acceleration and speed was going to be a big part of the battle and he knew this. Strategy and thought as well. So it would have to be done, actions after or before would be taken and a new start would be continuous. Without saying, it would be known in a single thought pattern...This would not be a bore.

He arched his back backwards and brought his chest forward. His cheeks puffed up and his eyes tightened shut. His right hand knuckles cracked as he gripped his sword even tighter. And his left hand made a last action, bringing up a dog whistle to his lips.

What happened next? Only obvious actions. He blew the whistle with all the air he stored into his lungs. Nothing would be heard, but the pitch was there and Horekoshu would take advantage of it with his sword. He swung his blade in another horizontal strike with his body spinning in a 360 to send the waves in all directions. The pitch of the sword would connect with the pitch of the whistle and control would take place. The sound would act as a pulse that flew in all directions. The pitch of the sound would first be so high that it would disturb the ears of listeners, including himself. Whoever suffered the pitch head on, meaning that the pitch was flying towards them, would get some small amounts of brain damage. Probably slowing down though and changing vision to a complete blur. And the waves that flew in all directions would act as a moving wall. Only able to blow a mother ******** back.

16

84Knight24

Nicholas didn't even wait. He was well aware that the match would end soon enough and he wanted to have some fun for once, as the tournament had been very, very boring. So, The man with the stone arm and the man with the iron arm would fight. Sounds like quite the match-up.

"Let's get it started!"

Nicholas' right foot planted on the ground and he was off in a charge. Almost as soon as his charge started, all three orbs of metal on the bracelet around his right wrist lifted up, keeping pace with Nicholas, only to shift into a short curved dagger. The bracelet itself simply stretched to cover Nicholas' hand and wrist like a bracer, or part of a gauntlet.

That's about all he did was charge and ready a weapon. For now at least.

"Yeah!"

"Kill 'em!"

"Slice 'is arm off Nicholas!"

"Bash 'is skull in!"

And the fans roared, finally. Probably for the first time in the tournament too.

"Finally, something starts."

"Yeah."

"Boring a** tournament..."

"Expected a lot more."

"Same here."

"Well, It is set up by people from Leviathan stadium. And you know how they are..."

85Shouyin

Shouyin smirked as Nick came a'running, switching his grip on the axe to his left hand. For convenience's sake, we're gonna say the half-golem had moved to the other side of the crater, to keep from his fight and Vahn's overlapping in any sort of confusing and painful manner. As it was, it'd just be Shou and his opponent, and however many of the retarded spectators had begun to relocate to the other edge. Cameras and helicopters were a constant staple the man had already gotten used to.

Anyways, enough of the environment, onto the fight at hand. With the crater's edge a good five or six metres to his left, Shouyin slid his left foot back, going into stance. Feet were shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Stone arm was held in front, fist tightly clenched and in line with his navel. The Tearbringer was held in a rear position overhead, the square spike pointing towards his left shoulder. This thing had just started.

And that's how Shou would wait for the end.

1

86Vahn Fah

"...?"

Needless to say, seeing your opponent bring a whistle to his lips wasn't exactly normal fanfare. Most people tended to write Vahn off as just another cliche 'brute' only capable of thinking with his fists and nothing more.

A silly mistake to be sure.

Seems like I won't be able to play with him as much as I thought.. Once his opponent's sword had been once more swung-- this time in a complete circle, he acted once more.

This time just pushing back completely, he would be moving at an accelerated rate due to his heated greaves, his right hand pressed tightly against the gash on his left shoulder, blood seeping.

However, he wasn't prepared for what followed-- namely the sound.

W-What...? His right eye widened, even as his ears began to pound loudly. Much like how Rock Lee had first been affected by the sound-nin in the forest, was apparently happening here.

As the sound washed over Vahn, being that he wasn't faster than the speed of sound, his backward slide wouldn't exactly falter, since it just meant he couldn't stop himself-- but his vision would get weirded out, his head throbbing as he tried to ignore that sudden wash of the 'migraine'.

Of course, then the wave struck, and he was sent even further back. s**t--! Not able to react good enough, he simply was forced back to the ground, both feet digging in as the 'wall' dispersed upon physical contact with him, doing what it was meant to do.

[TIMELIMIT : 15]

87Uberwulf X

Somewhere, Lazenca turned over in bed.

"Goddamned dog whistles."

88Knight24

[1]

A smirk would appear on Nicholas' face. He seemed to either be planning something or just doing it for the hell of doing it. Nicholas would be closing the distance between him and shouyin fairly quickly. 18ft, 17, 16, 15. Going by quickly as Nicholas closed another foot every step he took. Wouldn' be long till he was in striking range. Though, he kept at the ready the whole time, due to Shouyin's throw earlier.

"Turn it up!"

And forth from the spectator's would blast some music, provided by Nicholas' assistant Adria. Wouldn't do anything really, just serve as entertainment and battle music. Currently in the que was:

Hinder - Get Stoned

Hinder - Room 21

Black eyed Peas - Let's get it started

Dio - Holy Diver

Afrika Bambaataa & The Soul Sonic Force - Renegades of Funk

A nice list of music for the fight...

As for Nicholas, he just kept his charge going. He'd be close enough to actually start attacking soon.

89tegi4

Horekoshu's vision would hinder as well, but his attack wouldn't. His depth perception was just well enough to see the blur of Vahn in the distance, and the brain damage dealt to him was minimum since he pushed the waves outwards. So now he would charge. His footsteps again gentle and silent from his form of movement. He couldn't run straight but still moved with great acceleration, even in weaves. The tip of his sword was falling behind him as his whole blade dragged back across the ground, still in hand. A tear of blood came from each eye, flowing backwards from the wind beating his face. His pupils slowly beginning to dilate back to normal.

As close as he would get at the moment to a full charge at his opposition.

15

90Shouyin

"What the..." Shouyin watched as Nicholas continued -charging- towards him, at a pace of twelve inches per step? "Is he moving in slow motion?" The half-golem reaffirmed his grip on the axe just in case the strangely short steps were some kind of trick to confuse him in conjunction with the terrible music. A furl of the brow and a spit towards the ground.

"This sucks!" Hopefully Knight would soon be within range.

2

91Knight24

Sure, short steps. Wasn't like he was gonna go completely at full speed, that was too uncontrolable. This was easier to control. Course, as the music started, Nicholas' body seemed to sway slightly from side to side. 13. 11. Now his steps were normal.

"Let's... Go home and Get stoned!"

Was he singing? A dip to the left, and one to the right. The hell was he doin'?

9ft.

7ft.

Almost there...

"We could end up makin' love instead of misery!"

Jeez, I think he's stoned... Doesn't he ever do anything normally? He doesn't even hit on chicks normally...

4ft. And he stopped on his left step. Slid more like it to close the next two or three feet as his left foot slid forward, ahead of his right, and his left arm thrust forward in an open palmed strike poised to hit Shouyin in the center of his chest. Not much of an attack, but it'd be enough to make Shouyin step back.

92Shouyin

Knight24 Wrote:

4ft. And he---

---got an axe blade in between the shoulder blades.

It didn't matter that Nicholas was stopping at that point, Shouyin had planned on cutting his run short anyways. At about the five and a half foot mark the half-golem would've shifted his rear foot to point straight towards his opponent, but that was unrelated to the column of stone that would shoot out of the ground and smash into the man's shins. Not as powerful as the one he'd utilizied against Dyne, just enough to ensure that Nick's legs would sting as he tripped forwards into a collision course with the dirt. Then Shou would step forwards with his left, moving off to Nicholas' right shoulder as his opponent fell. He'd flick the switch up on the axe, sliding it into Instant mode as he swung downwards.

The Tearbringer would grind through Nick's back like a chainsaw, the blade sticking out of his chest.

Shouyin--- no, the AXEMAN cometh.

3

93Knight24

[3]

Ouch. Stone to the shin.

And so Nicholas fell foward, but not to his death. On the contrary...

Forth from the ground, the shadows to be more exact, a big ol' pillar would seem to burst up. More like a wall. 6ft long and about 8ft high once it'd be fully erected, it'd burst up in time to smack Nicholas in his right side to send him spinning off to the left, and probably cause alot of pain in Shouyin's arm as it'd come up to smash against the bottom of his forearm or maybe even his elbow. Probably even disarm him, but seeing as how most people had a vice-like grip and pain tolerance of a titan, it was unlikely.

"Let go home and get stoned!"

...He didn't lose a beat.

And so Nicholas would roll, cause nothing would really stop that wall. Roll, push, and up he goes. He'd regain his standing position quickly. Ah man, his clothes got dirty... And his side was going to be sore later.

94Shouyin

Oddly enough, Shouyin was wearing a t-shirt as he fought, so the Lunoc runes scribbled across his upper arm enabling shadow manipulation would go unseen by his opponent. However, the fact that the half-golem sliced through the pillar/wall like it was butter probably wouldn't. That didn't keep Nicholas from getting away however, much to the half-golem's obvious distaste as bright green eyes glared something fierce at the fleeing fellow.

Shouyin would swipe his right arm across, clearing away the rest of the wall and stalking towards Nicholas.

"Running away already?" he furled his brow. "And you started off all excited too."

4

95The Black Sand Mule

A muscular fan dressed in the minimal of clothes looked at the man, his friend beside him wearing some sort of odd seeing device and some form of armor. After staring at Shouyin, who used some form of shadow manipulation to cut through a wall, he turned to the armored man, confused.

"What does the scouter say about his power levels?" he asked.

The man in the armor grabbed the device and looked angry.

"It's over NINE THOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND!" he bellowed, smashing the device in his hands.

Strange how they'd been overlooked, but then again, there was a feathered car and Captain Kirk.

"Oh, wait a second. That was a decimal point, not a comma. It's over NIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" he amended a second later.

96Knight24

[4]

Hardly. You'd dodge too if someone tried to butcher you like a pig. Luckly though, Nicholas stopped singing along with 'Get Stoned'. Time to quit goofing off apparently. He was still swaying though. He wondered though, how the axe got in the way of the wall when it was Shouyin's armt hat it was coming up under. Oh well.

"Running, from you? Don't make me laugh..."

Nicholas was about 10ft from Shouyin, his little flying roll sending him pretty far. And so, he kept his grip on the metal hilt in his right hand, but the bade was gone, replaced with a wire and a smaller blade. And without delay, he thrust his right hand forward, and the blade seemed to 'shoot' out at Shouyin, aiming for his left shoulder. Living weapons were wonderful. Go ahead, try to grab it.

97Shouyin

He elbowed that s**t a little too, but it still just looked like an axe swing.

"I calls 'em as I sees 'em."

Shouyin would continue walking forwards, the tiny blade bouncing off a layer of stone that covered over his left shoulder. Not even a blink, he just kept walking, breathing slowly with axe in hand. The rock would sink back under his skin after the knife had safely exited his personal space. He'd flex the fingers of his right hand.

"... ******** was that?"

5

98Knight24

[5]

Adaptation, it can be a b***h for defenders...

The little blade would 'bounce' off of the stone, and seem to fall down. Alas, there was a surprise in store. As the blade would fall, the wire would follow, up untill the point it got within range to strike... Like a snake striking at it's prey, the blade launched itself at the axe handle and would strike the wood, the wire encirlcing the handle, constricting it. T'was faster than Shouyin could blink his eyes...

Disarming is cheap, but effective.

And struggling would be met with a tighter grip from the wire, exactly like a snake with it's prey. The wire was more than sharp enough to just slip right on through the wood with enough pressure. Or even rip the weapon from Shouyin's grip...

All the while Nicholas stood there.

99Dyne Tazon

A bald headed man whom already intoxicated with alcohol, would yell at the top of his lungs in a manner that his words would slur, this man was one of the subordinates who had served under Nicholas in Malachite.

"OI!

OI I SAAAAY!

QUIT DICKIN' 'ROUND NICK-O!"

The man soon passed out.

"Heh," the wire would wrap about the hilt of the half-golem's axe, the Tearbringer flying upwards in his grip, before suddenly stopping, Shouyin holding onto it with his left foot now positioned forwards. The man would resist the wire's pull, stone encasing his left hand and fortifying his grip. Was this a joke?

Jason A. Delacroix Wrote:

The handle is stained and varnished Walnut with steel inlays for grip and finger indexing, and the recurved shaft is supported by two internal steel inserts to improve rigidity.

There'd be no cutting through this beast, no little strand of metal exerting greater force than the Stone King. Shouyin would plant his right foot in front with a resounding boom, dropping his weight as he entered a wide horse stance. His right hand would come underneath the wire, gripping it and wrapping it around his wrist from the inside. Enter the tug o' war.

And Shouyin would pull.

"Don't you know who I am?" The ground underneath Nicholas would shift as Shouyin pulled the stone away from it, turning the surface into lightly packed dirt. In terms of sheer strength, the half-golem held back -constantly-. His heart pumped oxygen-enriched blood at a rate almost twice that of a normal human, fueling those muscles (which could be compared to iron) at an unrivaled speed. When it came right down to it, you could pretty much assume one thing: Shou was stronger. And he'd prove it as he pulled Nicholas right off the ground, dragging him through the air into another swing of his axe, aimed straight for the man's abdomen.

"You must not know who I am."

Who said it was Nicholas pulling? He just held onto the hilt of the weapon, the weapon itself was the one pulling. Reeling in the weapon, with real strength of iron. As for Shouyin's super pull? It'd be useless as the wire would at first resist, only to go slack and stretch when the super-pull was used and cause for Shouyin to stumble back as the weapon went back to normal, not even needing to unwrap as the metal just shifted back to it's original, wire-flail form.

"But... I was trying to have fun..."

Would be Nicholas' answer to his old subordinate. Course, he'd just mutter it under his breath, not bothering to shout at the now unconcious person. So, Nicholas would pull his arm back as the wire would rectract, reeling in the blade like a tape measure when the button is pressed to retract it. The whole weapon to disperse, returning to it's normal form of three orbs and a bracelet.

"Alright then, I'll try not to ******** around now..."

And Nicholas would draw his sword. It was all shiny and s**t. Sharp, shiny, and all special.

103Shouyin

A tug o' war with Nicholas, or with the wire, it made no difference, as long as the two were connected the eventual resistance would reach either end. As the line went slack Shouyin would drop his right foot back to compensate, placing it forwards once more and keeping his stance solid, but he never let go. Nicholas might notice the ground beneath him become a little more solid.

The wire would retract, sliding through Shouyin's grip swiftly. It could be expected though, his opponent wanted to hold onto his weapon as badly as the half-golem wanted his. The line would slide between the fingers of his right hand rapidly, the small knife whipping about his wrist and entering his grip. Shou's breath would slow down, relying on a brief moment of concentration so he could execute this perfectly. A tap of his left foot, and two spikes would shoot out of the ground, putting a pair of symmetrical holes in the soles of Nicholas' feet.

Immediately following this, Shouyin would grasp the knife in his hand, connected to the wire. Assumedly his opponent would be distracted as the half-golem tugged once more, except, instead of a sudden increase in force after a momentary struggle, this would be -instant-. No chance for resistance, Nick would be thrown into the air and into the half-golem's axe as previously described.

"Like I said."

Interuption... Cheap, effective, and always a b***h.

There would be no chance to grip the knife as the wire retracted. The instant the weapon couldn't retract anymore on it's own, it'd break from the wire and launch itself into Shouyin's right eye. Not far enough or fast enough to enter his brain, but more than enough force to punch into his eye and blind him. Even if that wasn't succesful, it'd return to Nicholas swiftly. The metal never moved slowly unless it was burdened.

"Boring..."

It was a living weapon, it acted on it's own. Even if Nicholas was distracted with drawing his sword, the weapon would still act. Since the grab wouldn't happen, the act of pulling and the rest of it wouldn't really happen... Besides, Shouyin's effect on the earth would be cut off as the blade of the sword touched the ground, it's anti-magic effect going into effect the moment of impact/touch. It was a long sword, it wasn't out of the question for it to touch the ground.

"Stop playing around with my balls."

Heh, Nicholas had three balls... XD.

105Shouyin

How could the knife stab Shouyin in eye when he was holding onto it?

The instant the weapon couldn't retract anyone on its own was the instant Shouyin pulled, which was the instant the knife was in his hand. And unless said weapon was somehow smarter than Nicholas, or was capable of reacting faster than a human could in regular situations, the half-golem was still gonna snatch its wielder as he'd originally planned, -before- the wire had a chance to snap.

And as for the sword, well, like mentioned, this was an interrupt. Nicholas wouldn't have time to draw the blade fully before he was flying through the air, no less pull it out all the way and project some field or whatever through the ground to effect the stone Shouyin was manipulating.

This was getting silly.

Eh, ******** it.

Fine, Nicholas was pulled forward despite the spikes in his shoes which would logically prevent or dramaticly weaken a pull. However, due to the metal breaking intentionally to compensate for an interuption in the retract, that would lower the force of the pull.

Thud.

Nicholad would hit another wall, acting quickly. He had to stop doing that, he was gonna hurt himself. Another wall of shadow, about a foot thick, three feet wide, and six feet high would burst up infront of Nicholas, effectively stopping him in his tracks by causing him to hit it. No, it wasn't a slow rise, so by the time Shouyin would somehow override Nicholas' ability, it would've already served it's purpose.

As for the metal. Yes, it could react faster than a human. Think of it like an elemental. So, there was part of the wire and the little blade with Shouyin, which was bad for him. The rest of it was back with Nicholas, as a bracelet and the orbs, though one of the orbs was smaller. As for Nicholas himself, he'd step back while drawing his sword completely and hold it at his right side, with the top of the blade touching the ground.

Nicholas was getting bored, and annoyed.

Spikes, not screws. His feet would slide off 'em smoothly, blood acting as a lubricant. ~

Anyways, Nick had holes in his feet, so Shou was feeling pretty good. He wouldn't attempt busting through the second shadow wall, just grinning as a column of stone raised up underneath his right hand. He'd stick his hand into it, depositing the knife and wire within it by manipulating the density of the rock. The column would reharden, sealing the metal within the rock before it sunk back underground, depositing itself deep within the earth surrounding the crater; it could basically be considered gone forever.

Shouyin would then continue his walk, giving the wall a wide berth as he circled around it. The half-golem was actually uncomfortable in these situations. He was a CQC fighter, all this long distance stuff with the thrown blades was bothering him, taking him out of his element. Stone still encased his left fist as it held onto the axe, green eyes flaring as he tried to gauge the situation against Nicholas.

Odd that Nicholas would be bored though, the half-golem figured it'd be exciting spending most of a fight in the air. The annoyance could probably be linked to the gaping holes in the feet, and that was certainly reasonable. The exact distance between the fighting pair was unclear, but Shouyin was doing his damn well best to make sure they were close, that metal stuff could be dangerous, and he needed to take the guy apart before he got his hooks in him.

"Let's get this over with, aye?"

Alas, the metal would seep through between his fingers like water, gathering itself in mid air, after the little bits of the metal would float up in the air, forming another little orb. And like every other movement, the metal would go through with it quickly

Nicholas had his sword out now, and since it was touching the ground, Shouyin wouldn't be able to do his little pillar move anyways. So, while Shouyin walked towards Nicholas, Nicholas was already working on healing the holes in his feet. Not much damage really, would be healed up in no time, and while the healing took place Nicholas could still move and act due to the fact it was such a small area needing to be healed.

The metal in the air didn't move, and the ones on Nicholas' wrist, on the bracelet, didn't either. They would hold, for now. Anyways, Nicholas stood there and yawned. He'd wait untill Shouyin was a little closer to act...

As close as he would get at the moment to a full charge at his opposition.

s**t... the hell... Everything was splitting, even the inside of his head as he saw nothing but double out of his right eye, the viewpoint all hazy and wavelike. Even his own breathing was coming in muffled and distorted.

...is this... ears...

His vision was starting to come back somewhat...

Blood splattered and dripped along the ground from the gash in his left shoulder, the left arm having remained motionless at his side the entire time, even as pushed his shaken body up from it's knelt position.

His right arm was out in front of his body, the blood that had collected on his palm dripping downward even as the heat began to rise within the palm of his hand. The chemicals in his blood ignited upon the oxygen even as he focused on releasing the needed mix from his own body.

It was difficult, focusing all that raw energy, but using the circle principal, the same basis for his One Inch Heat, all he needed was that firm base with the ground itself.

It always seemed to work better with the right arm itself, as if there was an innate connection between the earth and that arm (hint; Ymir).

"Nngh---!" Holding back on the release as long as possible, until his vision was clear enough to guarantee at least a steady shot, Vahn would have pushed his body backwards to gain some time.

As he pushed himself back, he would thrust his right arm forward, palm out, releasing the condensed surge force in a bee line for his opponent. The fireball would have enough force to burn painfully but it wouldn't bring immolation. The real kicker would be the concussive force with which it would both strike, and explode.

Kanashimi's ears twitched lightly. Even if some of the other people watching the fight couldn't hear the dog whistle, she could and it hurt. "Ah..." She reached up to cover her ears, but it still wasn't enough.

Someone else was also watching the fight, a younger girl, couldn't have been more than ten. She appeared to be alone and oddly enough she seemed perfectly relaxed and comfortable. She had an aire about her that said she could take care of herself.

She was focused on one fight in particular, the one that Vahn Kyonuske was involved in. She had been a baby when she had last seen him. Sometimes when she slept at night she dreamt of awkwardly sung lullabies and grumpy teddy bear faces and it always reminded her of him.

How many years had the Kyonuske clan been taking care of her? How many years had it been since she had last seen either of her parents? It was like she had become an orphan, thrust into the hands of the clan and then... well, that wasn't important. The present was what mattered.

"I wonder if he'll win." she mused as yellowed eyes watched Vahn's movements.

Kana frowned slightly. She felt odd, there was a familiar presence nearby, it was an energy much like the one she felt from Vahn. Fiery and passionate, yet dark and so very strong. She looked around at the fans who were watching the fight, trying to pin point the source.

Anti-Magic sword: An anti-magic sword, simple as that. It doesn't project a field or 'aura' of anti-magic, but rather, it is concetrated in the blade alone.

That is to say, Nicholas' sword wouldn't keep Shouyin from doing anything.

Unless the blade was touching the stone that Shouyin was sending his influence through the ground to manipulate, just pressing the tip of the blade into the dirt affected nothing; the half-golem would be sure to let Nick know what was up though. Shou would step forwards with his right, slamming his heel down with another good ol' fashion ba-boom as a small (approximately two and a half feet in diameter) stone boulder shot out of the ground, catching hangtime in front of the man's right fist, it wouldn't have a chance to fall back down however.

As it was, there'd be about three feet from Shouyin's stone hand to whatever part of Nicholas' body was closest. The former would be in the same stance he'd originally taken when the latter had started charging at the beginning of the fight. In an instant, the half-golem would focus his energy, snapping his body counter-clockwise as he cocked his right fist upwards, the bottom three knuckles knocking against the boulder. The densely-packed ball of stone would fly at Nick like it'd been shot from a cannon, hard enough and fast enough to shatter ribs, crush organs and decimate limbs. Shouyin's right hand would be steaming where the concentrated ki had exploded outwards, fueling the projectile. Of course, when the cannonball actually struck Nicholas, there wouldn't be a drip of magic on it, it was just a dense rock boulder that was moving -really- fast.

ONE INCH LANDSLIDE.

Big ol' boulder popping up out of the ground, Quite obvious what was going to happen. By the time Shouyin would launch the boulder out like a cannon, Nicholas wouldn't even be there. The moment the boulder was brought up, Nicholas' body was already being enveloped in shadow. By the time Shouyin's fist was striking the boulder, Nicholas would be gone, only to appear no more than two to three feet away, turned towards his left a bit so his right side was facing Shouyin's left side. The boulder would have gone past, and who knows how far it'd go or if any spectators would get hurt from it.

Of course, Nicholas' sword remained where it was, but due to his current positioning and the fact he kept his right hand out to grasp the hilt of his sword upon re-appearing, that put him in a good position. And without hesitation or even a moment of waiting, Nicholas swung his sword, turning his body to the right as well, aiming to slice open Shouyin's left side. And just in case, Nicholas' left arm was at the ready for any attack or defense should it be needed.
