HOH BLIMP

The very same blimp that had been travelling all over Gaia, advertising the tournament, transforms into the semi-finals stage as two teams do combat while they travel to Leviathan Stadium for the finals, but only one team will be getting off to take the stage at the finals.

Terrain

General - Reduced balance due to occasional air turbulence, limited platform increases risk of fatal ring out, other teams watching from sidelines.

Weapons - None

Natural Element Resource - Air

Warnings - Intentionally throwing an opponent off the platform results in instant DQ

2themightyjello

The airfield was practically swarming with people. Fans, reporters, photographers, everyone who wanted to see the fighters off before the blimp left was there to see them arrive, because no one except the fighters was allowed aboard.

The crowd was divided by security, clearing the way for the teams to board the airship when they arrived.

The blimp was scheduled to depart shortly, and any team member that was not aboard when it left would not be aboard, leaving their team at a distinct disadvantage.

(( Roughly 2 days will be given before the start of the next match. ))

3-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

Kichiro had made a stop between his trip to the airfield from the hotel, though its purpose would not be known for a little while. He rolled his right arm, popping it a bit as he cricked his neck.

Time for the show...

"Well then..." Two size thirteens made their way through security. The man was 6'5" with those boots, and a rather towering figure in his own right. His eyes flashed a crystal green from person to person, boring into them as they dared to look at him. Three scars were visable on him, running from about his right eye down to the lower left corner of his lip. The man had been through s**t lately, and he wasn't exactly happy.

Kichiro cursed in his thoughts. Though Sieg had admittedly done something stupid in fighting his mechanized foe.

The one guy that had fame here, wouldn't even be around for the damn semfinals. It was hard enough work just to get here, getting a limb blown off and various bones broken while bleeding like a stuck pig in the last round.

'Oh.. and where is Peppa?' Kichiro looked back over his shoulder, seeing who else of his teammates were coming.

The acknowledged reporter Wrote:

"Do you think that Team AssTear and Glacier are meant to go into the finals?" A reporter that had been watching the brutality of the various teams, and their point ranking asked Kichiro from the seperated lines. He was practically sticking the thing right in Kichiro's face.

Of course there were many others, but this was the one Kichiro chose to respond too. Perhaps it was his glasses that got him noticed?

Or something he said.

"What's that suppose to mean." Kichiro looked deep into the eyes of that reporter, brushing a few loose black strands from his eyes. Dark tanned hands with callaces and depth of battle, wondering what the reporter meant. The way he spoke, was not lighthearted or in that tone of a question, more a statement.

Kichiro looked down the carpet towards his destination, seeming for a moment that would be the end of it. He took one step, ruffles in his overcoat hugging the sheathes of blades being sent down him. Then he turned his head ever so slightly, a smirk appearing 'pon his lips. "The fates will have those meant to clash, to clash... but know this, they'll know the day they came against the Gaian Kensei."

A wink.

Kichiro was looking dead ahead, mystery shrouding his dark form, and head held high in confidence. Even if he was going against indominatable odds, he'd be dauntless through it all.

The acknowledged reporter Wrote:

"... Kensei?" That was all the reporter had left to say, mouth dropping into an 'O' as he stared afterward. Microphone dropped. Not exactly sure what to report.

Quote: "st, ******!"

The bedheaded Minute bolted up in the hotel bed, her eyes wide with surprise, staring at the digital clock that had rested on the nightstand beside the bed, it blinking on and off; she guessed a certain golem had rolled over and hit the snooze button wanting to sleep in s'more. Thus, making Minute late.

"Tch." She'd pull the covers from her body, tossing them to land over the still sleeping golem while she'd run into the bathroom to shower, and clean up.

Once all was finished, Minute would exit the restroom wrapped in a towel, kicking open her suitcase to reveal a few more outfits left in the trunk, bending over Minute would pick out her armor; it'd been so long since she'd actually worn it. She didn't think she'd need it again.

Until the fighter on her wrist went off, showing who it was they'd be going against next.

".....********! YOUR KIDDING ME!" She couldn't believe this, having been in the hotel and watching the fights, Minute had heard of this team, some of the stories sending shivers up her spine.

"Nyuuu." She'd flop over, holding the armor to her chest, letting a sigh escape her lips. "Oh well." The cyborg would push herself up, dressing in her normal attire, pulling the bag over her shoulder which carried her armor in it.

"Guess I'll be needing you after all."

She'd smile, reaching over the bed to pull the covers away, placing a kiss on the silver haird golems cheek, before turning around and leaving the room, heading out of the hotel to meet her team.

Minute was in for the ride of her life.

5Minerva Oda

A divide was made in the crowd, some hesitance, and some cries of alarm. Ennui` wasn't exactly gentel. Esspecial as Kich was about to board the blimp. Earlier, as Kich had announced what he was doing this stupid thing. She figured as much, she'd stop by to watch the happenings.

Just as the reporter said, "Kensei," he found himself shoved out of the way, into a group of younger very excitable teens. She tossed a grim look at him, not enjoying the fact that people made a sport of this. Oh well.

"Kichi! Kichi!" She said loudly, waving him over happily. Ennui` held herself a bit higher than normal, almost commanding attention from her husband-to-be, and the people around her. One had to her an attention whore when you weren't exactly up to par with looks.

In the mean time, the reporter was finally getting his compossure back. Good for him.

6themightyjello

Cameras flashed all over as both reporters and paparazzi tried to capture the moment on film. The two members of Lu Bu that had advanced through the procession and were being questioned by the reporters had a crowd of shouts, camera lenses, and jutting microphones surrounding them; while those who were just arriving had a fresh surge leaning over the barricades and trying to get the attention of someone who might sign an autograph or glean a few more points in the ratings for their network.

This wasn't just a tournament, this was HoH.

Along the street a vehicle with darkened windows pulled up, stopped, and opened its doors -

"Someone's getting out!"

A boot stepped out of the car, as the TAT Captain stepped onto the carpet. He was dressed in a brown and black jogging suit with the Deity Inc. logo on the back of the jacket. Black, fingerless gloves on his hands and a brown and white cap with the same logo that cast a shadow over his face as his head hung low.

The cameras flashed, but he did not acknowledge them. Instead, he reached behind him and pulled two things out of the car. The first, held in his right was a sheathed sword. The second, hoisted up over his left shoulder was -

"A coffin?" A reporter for the GGN speculated into her microphone as the cameraman behind her left shoulder zoomed the lens upon the object that Joshua was dragging with him over his left shoulder.

With a black-painted pine box hoisted over his shoulder by a length of rope the TAT Captain trudged down the aisle towards the airship.

7-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

Kichiro stopped dead in his tracks. He knew that voice like it was the back of his hands, and turned over to see her. That badass look that he had five minutes ago.

Well.

One could consider that thing erased at the sight of her.

"Ennui`!" Kichiro ran back to her, bumping the alternate teammate on the way and blinking. That wasn't really expected.

Minute?

Kichiro merely shrugged, turning to a security gaurd.

"She's my fiancee'."

Thus avoiding any possible accusations that he was attacking an audience member or some such. Kichiro stepped up to Ennui` and wrapped arms around her, pulling her over the barricade with a swift motion with her legs clearing and raising in the air.

"What are you doing here?" Kichiro blinked, looking at her in a bit of shock. To make sure she knew he was happy about it though, one deep and passionate kiss was planted against her lips. Those behind him, they'd just have to wait a few more seconds... er... minutes.

8Minerva Oda

"You said you were in Lantent. . ." She said, clinging to him, not used to having the cameras going off. She had figured that there would be a crowd . . . Nothing this size. She simply blinked in shock, losing her train of thought.

It was about that moment that he kissed her, and put her in a different set of thoughts. Damn the crowd, she thought. As the two would pull away, she'd simply look at him, lovingly.

She was weaponless today as well. Something she did for him on the occassion. The special ones. Like - when there was a chance of him falling off a blimp.

Ennui` didn't want to think about that right now, however. "Umm. . . Shouldn't I get back behind the lines. . ?" She said nervously, not wantint to hold anything up - but obviously not wanting to let him go by the way she clung to his shoulders.

9Peppa Clause

A man would come onto the red carpet. He couldn't evade this entrance even if he tried. He knew what was coming, which didn't help him much. He still was scared of the mob. It wasn't the normal reporters he was scared of, it was a fan base of nerds that would easily decapitate his head just to sell it on ebay as "BID ON REAL JEDI HEAD!!!".

Instinctively he brought his neck down. Upon the limo reaching the carpet, he would take a step out. Eyes scanning the area for the glases.

All lights are green.

Peppa would begin walking up the carpet when a reporter stuck his hand out. Microphone protruding out into his face to a offgaurd Peppa. He may be in the semi finals but he still saw that he was among the lower looked upon members. There hasn't been a single word about how Peppa was fighting, anything positive anyways.

Do you believe you can still win despite the loss of Sieg as a team mate?!

Peppa didn't even think.

I just think this next match is going to be bloody.

He than began to take a step forward before another arm would snap in front of Peppa. The polite Jedi would seem annoyed yet he would give the man some time.

Than his senses kicked up, they were approaching.

Are y-

Not now.

Peppa said quickly, dashing beneath the flurry of arms. They had seen a member willing to talk and were going to rape him with phones if he didn't do anything. The nerds were being stopped by the gaurds for now but he suspected that not to be the end of them.

They probably were trying to get through the crowd at th emoment.

Entering the blimp, he would release a heavy sigh.

Take care all!

(( Enn pee see post. ))

"Welcome aboard, gentlemen," the host greeted those who boarded at the top of the ascending stairs into the belly of the great metal beast. While the single face that appeared in the doorway was that of a smiling attendant dressed in as fine a suit and bow tie as would be expected on a luxury cruise ship, just inside the door there were at least a dozen armed officers ensuring that only those who were slated to come on board would do so. The attendant, of course, was checking both names and faces as they boarded.

Inside the ship it much resembled the hallways of the luxury floor of the hotel. Plush, richly decorated corridors lined with rooms with gold leaf inlaid upon the hardwood doors... this was, after all, a passenger ship.

However, every hall was lined with cameras, and thick metal doors were closed in over several of the hallways to bar entry to parts of the ship that the guests should not be wandering... this was, after all, a warship.

The Creation Industries limited-thrust airship Paradigm was a true tribute to capitalism: combining the decadent atmosphere of a cruise ship for exploiting all those rich sons of bitches out of their money with the armament and capabilities of a floating fortress, it was able to perform both tasks almost simultaneously with a minimal expenditure of both fuel and time, while ensuring that any materials or persons being transported were entirely safe and seated in the lap of luxury.

The attendant gave instructions to each of them as they arrived, telling them which corridor their rooms were located in, along with a key and their room number. It shouldn't have been too difficult to find them, as most of the other hallways were blocked off when the ship was running on a skeleton crew as they were now. He also instructed them about the terminals located at the end of each hall that provided an interior map of the ship; including the available (and open) recreational facilities, the infirmary, the dining hall, and the gymnasium, where the match would be taking place.

"Mr. Ecstuffuan is resting in the infirmary currently," the attendant would say with a smile.

11-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

"You can take care of Seig in the infirmary." Kichiro smiled, "He's a good friend of mine and got rather banged up. You'll be the nurse." Kichiro figured there had to be some way he could get her in there, and gently pulled from her grasp with hands on hers. He tugged her along to the airship.

She did spend time in a hospital of a sort, afterall for a long time.

HoH security. Wrote:

"Hey contestants only, no girlfriends!" A security gaurd would hold up his hand, stopping Ennui' from passing.

"She's the nurse for Seig, team captain chosen and all." What could one say to that? Would they deny special medical help chosen by the team captain? Chances are they ought to let a nurse on for the wounded Seig.

Getting the go head, Kichiro would smile back at Ennui' and pull her onto the cruise ship blimp to the infirmary

12Maximos

There was a streak of black and a quickly fading swath cut across the clean sky. It came from behind the blimp masking its existence behind the blimp itself.

A crackle, something similar to the sound of a live wire hitting water, immediately followed by the sound of two boots landing on wood.

Maximos had arrived.

The bright lavender hue of the Lunoc glow, still tracing the runes on his boots. A splatter of inky black was left very visible underneath his feet. A few bright sparks bouncing from his feet, to the puddle and fizzling off onto the wooden deck.

In the commotion at the entryway his arrival was almost entirely missed. A few daft members of maintenance would notice that there was no one, and then suddenly, there was a man dressed head to toe in black.

His black hood pulled over to cover the top half of his face, leaving only the barely visible white glow of his right eye. His jacket blew in the wind, its coat tails lashing at the air, while his folded arms lay across his chest. The black buttons of his hooded jacket leading from his neck, down to his waist.

In the seconds the followed the glow faded entirely, and in the direct light so did the black splatter leaving only the man. A man who somehow seemed to have arrived before everyone else, and yet, without anyone else seeing him enter.

How creepy!

His right arm twitched.

13themightyjello

(( NPC ))

"Oh shits!"

One of the maintenance crew pissed himself.

The other one recognized the man from the television, and directed him towards the gymnasium where the matches would be taking place.

14Kraun

Wasnt there some rule about non staff and competitors being allowed on the airship? Additionally, the tournament did provide the doctors and nurses, because just like any other large sporting even, such as the olympics, the staff would have to be pre-approved by those in charge. But that didnt seem like anything important, since of course enpisees are stupid. As for security? Real security? Well, maybe once again someone would find themselves facing THE WALL in its own birthplace. Who knows?

Anyways...

Tzenidaar appeared on the scene. He wasnt sure if he wanted to wade through the crowd over the red carpet yet, so he just sort of stood back, staring stupidly into space. Because he was half drunk or something, but totally spacing out.

15-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

themightyjello Wrote:

I'm deferring on that question.

If I let one in I have to let all of them in, y'know? I support RP, but girlfriends aren't like a nurse that's there to take care of their health or something that you really can't go without for a day.

Kichiro Oda Wrote:

If she plays the role of nurse for Sieg?

themightyjello Wrote:

...kay.

Apparently she was allowed in and the WALL wouldn't be attacking anyone for breaking rules. Since one was allowed in if they played the role of a nurse for Sieg. So all was good in the hood as Kichiro and Ennui' went to the infirmary.

Where Kichiro would give her goodbyes and head back to gymnasium.

16Liquid Lights

The narrator had to make his post quick, in case he didn't make it home for the deadline. Even though he'd be damn close, not wanting to miss his fight. So Stryphe made his way in, clad in a Deity jumpsuit, looking a lot like a painter. He hid his face under a cap alot like Joshua's.

17Kraun

Eh? So it appeared that Deity had found the rest of team a** Tear, hooking them up with clothes and all to wear, advertising their company, sponsoring the team. Tzenidaar didnt know why the hell those two would be wearing Deity clothes, they at least still had clothes of their own, whether or not it was stolen didnt matter.

He stood there for a moment, wearing the red deity t-shirt which had the words KILL YOU written on the front in bold as he guzzled down the rest of the bottle in his hand and dropped it on the ground, taking a hissing breathe. Nothing like booze to fire you up before some action. Too bad by the time anything started, he'd probably have already metabolized the stuff.

Time to get going. He stepped up through the crowd, ignoring them and their questions altogether as he made his way up the ramp after the other members of the team.

18Minerva Oda

So, Ennui now stood within the infirmary, slightly dizzied by the pulling around, and quick disappearences. She watched Kich leave, and thought bitterly that if he ended up down here, she'd be very cross.

"Seig. ." She said, looking over the man. It wasn't ever day she got to show off her ability to fix things. It had been ages since someone on her team back at the Hideout had been hurt that badly. The exception was herself, on the few times she began to seizure from a bad infection.

She turned, and began to look about for something check up on his vitals. Gloves would be helpful. She didn't want to freeze the poor man with the metals imbeded in her skin.

Speaking of, "I should take these off," She said to Seig's sleeping form. Eh. Now she was talking to half dead guys. Grreeat.

While in her search for gloves, she began to untighten the screws that held her claws in her skin. It made a nasty tearing noise, as it opened the flesh anew, and thus - her reasons for getting gloves.

19themightyjello

There was a noticeable change in the crowd as one man passed through them towards the airship. With the other contestants they would press in, hounding the fighters with questions about their feelings, their tactics, their favorite breakfast cereal, or any number of inane or useless things that may have meant something to a man who lives his life in the ring... but were of no consequence to a man who makes his life a battlefield.

No one pressed in. No one pressed a microphone to his face. They gave him a wide berth to pass and stood silently as he did; listening as with each step a heavy weight within that black coffin carried over his shoulder shifted. They watched as the dark man passed with a grim expression upon his face and the bill of his cap casting a shadow across his eyes.

"Do you think-"

"I wonder who is inside..."

"Sweet merciful... I am not missing this story!" A reporter ducked under the barricade and rushed out into the aisle with a microphone in hand. She stepped in quickly, raising the microphone to the man's face and asked her question:

"Hi. Susan Jo-"

He didn't even slow down for her. She was in the way, and with the back of his hand she was immediately out of the way. No doubt she would have a bruise both on her cheek and on her a**, but he was in no mood for games today.

A man had broken into his room and attacked him in the middle of the night. A man had set fire to his room the morning before the semi-finals match. A man had bitten off his left hand and thrown him through a set of cabinets. And because of that man he had not gotten a wink of sleep that night... He was tired. He was angry. He was not the same playful jackass that had been pulling pranks for the last week.

He did not stop for her, he simply walked over her and went on; only a single glance down upon her fallen figure without a word or a sign of compassion.

"Oh... my... god..."

She scrambled back towards the barrier on the ground even as the security were pulling her back to her feet and shouting in her ear that she had to get back. She couldn't hear them, she was simply lost in that murderous stare that was burnt into her memory.

"There's... no one in that coffin..." the woman echoed to herself as she stared at the pine box held over his shoulder while he calmly continued on.

'It's for who he's going to fight!'

20themightyjello

(( Movin' on up. ))

"All aboooooooooooooard!"

The attendant shouted once before closing the door behind him and sealing off the interior of the airship from the outside world. The stairs that had been lowered to the ground were raised automatically and brought up to become flush with the outer hull of the ship, and all preparations to leave were underway.

The men on the ground quickly untethered the ground wires that had fixed the blimp to the airfield, and there was a tremendous roar and rush of air a the engines started up. In moments the behemoth machine lifted itself from the ground and began its ascent. Only a few minutes later and it would break the cloud cover and be flying freely in the open air on its course for the Leviathan Stadium.

However... there were unexpected guests at the very last moment.

Kraun Wrote:

As the grand blimp of Creation Industries began to take off, three figures darted out of the crowd, weaving inbetween them until they entered the clearing where the airship would lift off, streaking blurs in the masses gathered. When they broke away from the tighter confined of the crowds, heavy cloaks would open up and whip back in the free air around them as they made their mad dash.

It seemed that the judges had not entered the airship yet, and it would appear they werent going to get on it anytime soon considering how high the blimp already was off the ground. How was it possible that the judges were in the crowds of spectators, fans, and the media the entire time, yet no-one noticed them? No one knew, but that wasnt important right now as camera's flashed at the mad trio chasing after the departing ship.

Yet, undaunted, they continued to move, full speed ahead, never slowing down even as they neared the next battleground of Heaven or Hell. And then they leaped, not even high enough to get to the main deck as it was much too high by this time. Instead, they each lunged at one of the hanging cables which had not yet fully been retracted into the blimp.

The first barely even made a jump, running straight into the hanging cable as it began to retract, and with the full force of the run behind it, the judge swung upwards along the length of the wire and up into the air in an arch until the cable would reel in like a fishing line and he'd roll onto the deck.

The second would leap up and snag onto one of the cables as well, swinging off of them and pulling himself upwards at the same time to leap even further upwards until the judges hand would grab the outer railing of the deck and hoist the rest of the body over it.

The third, like the second, would jump, grabbing one of the cables with one arm, and simply hold on as it began to reel upwards. Just hanging on one of the cables, the last judge would peer down to the ground as it ascended and then swung over the ledge of the deck when high enough.

Three judges. They'd move through the blimp before the fights as they went to check with security, the pilots, and the refs. And as they passed the groups of fighters and their teams, each one judge would have its masked face turned towards the individual teams, staring them down.

The HoH Judges are the supreme enforcers of tournament law for the duration of each match. Each Judge wields extraordinary legal power in his or her own stage over fighters. In addition to functioning as "legal administrators", they are also charged with the task of guarding the spectators who may be around the stage.

Every Judge has archives on every participant on file, and can simulate the powers of a variety of them in order to target its opponent's weaknesses. This was due to the data collected via fighters, in which DNA samples, skin samples, tissue, blood, etc-- were all analyzed and broken down once a FIGHTER came into contact with the actual wearer.

With the appearance of the Judge, the match was slated to begin.

The Judges moved to the gymnasium inside the ship, and the sounds of machinery being put into motion once again filled the ship. The ceiling opened up, the floor broke away, and the gymnasium floor rose along the walls themselves as it was raised up to the top deck of the ship. Then higher still.

It would be here, amidst the wind and fury of nature at fifteen thousand feet that the match would be held.

There were no guard rails. There was no safety net. This wasn't some sissy ring.

This was HoH.

21themightyjello

Tap. Tap. Tap.

The sound of the microphone being tapped was repeated through every speaker in the ship as the P.A. system was turned on.

"Um... er... Welcome-welcome to the He-Heaven or Hell blimp. Some of you mi-might recall if you were watching last year, that the neh-next match will be held on the same raised p-p-platform that was used last year.

"At... at this time I would like to ask that both... both teams please report to the match a-area. Th-thank you."

The P.A. system turned off, and the teenage boy that was left holding the dead mic seemed pale as death as a cold sweat ran down the sides of his neck. He was on deck, along with the judges, and some members of the teams; though there were still a few that were not in attendance. Perhaps they'd gone to check out the rooms where they could leave their bags, or perhaps they had gone to visit the man who had been put into the ship's infirmary...

The winds howled across the platform, making maintaining balance that much harder, especially when the airship would tilt to the side to bank into a turn. There was the raised housing of a service stairwell on the far end of the platform, and beside it a group of on-site EMTs were huddled with their gear to get out of the wind; however, the boy and the three judges that stood upon the platform seemed to be completely unaffected by the ripping winds as they waited for the preparations for the match to complete.

"My... my name is Angelo White," the boy said, speaking to the team members assembled, "I will be the master of ceremonies for... for your match. W-would the team captains please de-decide upon the conditions for the... for the match? Please..."

The boy looked positively sick as he spoke; constantly glancing around the area to the dozens of cameras that were mounted to the platform and the housing around it in order to catch all of the action without the need for cameramen. Everything that those cameras captured was sent directly to the communications room inside, where it was filtered down to the various networks that had contracted for the rights to broadcast.

22Liquid Lights

"Holy s**t!" Stryphe interjected, pointing in amazement at Angelo White. "It's you!" He'd always recognize that skittish voice, lacking confidence.

It'd been a long, long time since Stryphe had seen Angelo, and it had only been very breif, but he remembered. In fact, there was almost no way Stryphe couldn't remember- because Angelo had been there the last time Atticus was around.

How the hell the timid Angelo had landed a gig like that, Stryphe had no idea. Maybe he'd cause some sort of destruction himself, and was paying a debt to Deity Inc. Either way, Stryphe probably wouldn't find out. He was interupting the proceedings, and probably making Angelo feel even more nervous than he already was.

If Angelo would acknowledge Stryphe at all, the boy would receive an enthusiastic nod from the demon man.

23Just Three Words

"Hm?"

Her head cranned upwardly hearing the announcement in the PA. Blinking twice, Minute sighed, her shoulders dragging. "Guess I'll have to go see Sieg later." Minute would then turn away from the infirmary door, and walk toward the Gym, hands stuffed into her pockets before she'd soon arrived, lifting her head to watch the announcer quietly.

"Mayn, get thrown off and your done for..."

Lazily, Kichiro walk up to Angelo. Though his eyes would be on the other teams' members. His hands were stuffed in his pockets, and he was ready to fight. It was for his team that he had come, though he was none too enthusiastic about coming against this team. They apparently had some powerful mages and a monster, and he was more of a fan of blades and finess in hand to hand.

Oh well.

Deal with whatchya' got.

"Alright. I propose we do one match at a time, with Peppa going up first against whoever you guys want." Informal, to the point.

Kichiro tilted his head back to the side, glancing over at Angelo and then to Styphe, slowly passing over everyone of Team AssTear. Team Lu Bu was tough, they were known as good fighters, but AssTear were monsters.

Or so it was said.

And with their victory over the eliminator, who was to argue?

25themightyjello

Joshua moved through the airship as if he knew the interior by heart... He made all the right turns, he never stopped to check the map, and without a single deviation from his course he arrived promptly at the match ring minutes before the Judges completed their rounds of checking the ship's security.

It was simply that he had been here before, one year ago on this day, wandering the halls of this metal monstrosity behind a black robe and a white mask. When the gears began to grind and the ceiling opened up, he was waiting; standing there and waiting for it all to begin without any distractions or any expression, as if this time his own face was the mask.

K-thunk.

The black coffin dropped to the floor, and he bent down beside it to slide the lid off. From inside he removed one item: a guitar with a strap. He slid the coffin lid back into place and took a seat on the edge of it, resting the guitar in his lap with his head hung low; the fingers of his left hand grasping at air for a few moments as his knuckles popped and realigned themselves.

He plucked a few notes upon the strings as the lift raised out of the shaft and into the light of the afternoon sun; showing clearly why that guitar had seemed just so off.

Mounted on the neck of the guitar was a small tank that resembled a propane tank, and it connected to a set of tubes that ran across the instrument to supply it with fuel to burn. The strap, which rested across his lap, was made of chain mail so that it would not be cut. In the base of the guitar a large blade was mounted as if it were taken from a giant circular saw, and on the side there was a pull cord similar to the kind found on a chainsaw. In the light it was clear that the blade had several teeth chipped, and that the guitarsaw was splattered all over with blood... his blood.

His fingers reached across the strings, plucking them slowly with his head hung down; his face invisible beneath the bill of his cap. It was an Eliminator's weapon... it belonged in the hands of the genuine article.

Stryphe Wrote:

"Holy s**t!" Stryphe interjected, pointing in amazement at Angelo White. "It's you!" He'd always recognize that skittish voice, lacking confidence.

"Oh-!" The boy visibly jumped when he was called out to, but despite his nervousness he calmed considerably when he found that the person who had called out to him was a familiar face. He placed his right hand on the back of his neck and wrung it uncontrollably in a nervous fit; although he was glad to see someone that he knew, he could not help but feel as if thousands of eyes were staring at him...

In all likelihood they were. After all, this was broadcast television.

"Mi-Mr. Stryphe, I-I wasn't... I mean, I didn't... I should have looked more closely at the team rosters, because I-"

Kichiro Oda Wrote:

"Alright. I propose we do one match at a time, with Peppa going up first against whoever you guys want." Informal, to the point.

"Yesyes, alright I-" the boy paused suddenly; breath held as he looked over at the other team's captain. There was no sign of disapproval, and in the interests of pressing onwards he took that as an agreement to Kichiro's terms for the match.

"I... don't think that the other Captain ha-has any objections t-t-to your t-t-terms. The first match will be mister P-p-peppa against... ... ..."

The boy took a deep breath, trying to calm himself, and then asked.

"Are you going in first then, Stryphe?"

27Kraun

CRASH!

BAM!

THUMP!

"-beep-!"

The door swing open to the top of the blimp and onto the platform, and out stumbled Tzenidaar, bottle of Crown Royale in his right hand, a bottle of Captain Morgan's in his left. Three guesses where he was during the announcement?

Exploring the hallways? Nope.

Checking out the sweet living quarters? Nope.

Discovered the bar? Bingo.

And for the duration of his time there until the announcement was heard, he'd been busy drinking. Because when an engine runs on a full tank of gas, it moves oh so much smoother than if it was only half full or almost empty.

The only difference was that it wasnt gasoline in his system. It was alcohol. At this moment in time, he'd be fueled by booze. Which only meant...

GIMME FUEL!

GIMME FIRE!

GIMME THAT WHICH I DESIRE!

If only Joshua had kicked into a face melting guitar riff just as the door was kicked open and the drunken man stumbled out with pretty bad footing due to the shifting blimp.

28Maximos

Nothing. No words, not a sound, not even the sound of breath drawn and given. He stood like a shadow on the wall. Even through announcer and introduction of the opposing teams fighter, he said not word. He remained with his arms folded, and his eyes closed, completely silent. His face carrying a deathly cold chill. Not emotion was visible, be it anger, hatred, joy, nothing but an emptiness which looked indelibly carved in stone. He was more than ready for this to begin.

29Peppa Clause

Peppa shrugged at the idea of him being first. Nervous that he was basically the guniea pig for the opposing team? A little bit but that was expected. A man without fears was a fool anyways. So within the three seconds he allowed his mind to wander into the 'what ifs' section, he would trvial himself such thing. Than just like that with some sort of god like control over his own emotion, he simply stopped.

Looking up to the men he would simply smile. Wondering what the hell this match was goona be like. THe only natural resource was the possibility of wind gusts from these altitudes. This sounded horrible for a guy who just loved using the sorroundings.

Not that he got a chance to use them last round.

Last round.....

He would check his naked right arm. It was now simply a scar across his arm. Whatever. He was in fine condition for this match which was all he had been hoping to happen this whole damn time. If he was to allow himself to get knocked up before against these guys, he was going to be the equivalent to a kid screaming at a sticky controller while trying to beat Onslaught.

Snickering to himself he would turn to Kichiro.

The duel....sexy, sure wish I brought my guitar too. Don't know exactly why I didn't.

30Minerva Oda

Ennui was scared of heights. Oh, God. Like a cat, she hated them. Yet, here she was, wandering out to watch. She was grasping the sides of the walls as to not slip.

Sure, she was scared to death of heights. But, she still wanted to watch. And thus, she stood in the door way, clinging to the siding and watching the announcments. Kichi. A Guy. Some girl she didn't know. A guy with a coffin.

She gulped. These guys were serious. And she was slightly afaird. She didn't want to watch anyone die today. Ennui muttered a slighten prayer that the man who created her had told her to do. He said there was a God. Well - God help them now.

31Liquid Lights

"I suppose that's right." He said from beneath the pulled down Deity cap.

He strode towards the middle of the platform, his halberd resting on his right shoulder, the shaft in his right hand. He was a few inches shorter than the Jedi, but there was just something ominously intimidating about the cool, calculated steps of the long-haired demon-man dressed up as a Deity Inc. painter. It was the absence of identity, that's what it was. He was just a man here to do what man had done for thousands of years- shed the blood of his fellow man.

He was ruthless violence. His unidentifiability was a symbol of the one thing he was here for- the only thing.

To beat that a**.

The boy nodded, acknowledging Stryphe as the fighter for this bout and backed up. Peppa had already made himself known, now Stryphe had, and all that was left was for someone to say-

"Go."

It was on.

33Just Three Words

"We...are..screwed."

~Bzzt~

"I've faith in my team."

Minute smiled on the sidelines, waiting for someone to make a move so that the fight would go underway, leaving everyone in suspence. Or at least, leaving the small cyborg in suspence.

"G'luck Peppa."

34Kraun

The chimera wandered over to where Joshua was before squatting down and putting one bottle on the floor so that he may open the other one. It would seem that stationary, he still had a good sense of balance, but with the movements of the ship, and no real sense of purpose for the moment, he wasnt focused on doing anything, and so he'd busy himself with drinking the liquer while trying to figure out what was going on.

The jedi would look up and down the opponent. It seemed as if he was going to attempt to create that shady profile. The kind where there's all stone on the inside but a ****** care bear on the inside. Just need to get a good chisel on that poor b***d.

Perhaps he really just never got that hug from his ol' pops.

Snickering to himself, he would shake his head. Sometimes he had thoughts that he was glad were just kept inside. He'd've been asking for trouble doing that. Perhaps he should be, rile up the guy a little bit.

Enough contemplations.

The Jedi would give a soft respectfull bow before stating who he was.

Peppa G. Clause of Team Lu Bu. I will be you'r opponent. Good luck.

Not expecting a response he would move towards his opponent, keeping his weapon off while grasping the sabre in his right hand. With the weapon pointed towards his opponent he would slowly make steps forward. Giving a side profile for his oppoennt it would be his left side dominant with a nice gaurd hand held horizontally, parallel to the ground.

The beam's distance was a approximate four feet, but his opponent didn't know that. Given the extra foot distance his arm/sabre would give in this position, his opponent was running on blind eyes. Peppa was slowly moving forward with a unknown lengthed weapon. For all he knew, he was already in kill range.

Peppa continued to move forward, waiting for his opponent to react, if his opponent simply gave up on the game of chicken. Made famous by cars, by him not moving it would be the equivalent of him not flinching as he runs head first into a brick wall.

36Kraun

STRIKER - OFFENSE

37Kraun

And so the fight finally began. And already, just like the wait beforehand, it seemed to be going slow; really slow. So slow in fact, that Tzenidaar decided the actually get some s**t done early by making a move himself.

Now, he didnt know if Stryphe was going to make a move at the exact moment he would, making this offenseive manuever a doubleteam attack, but he would take the liberty to get close fast.

Springing up off of his squat, legs pumping outwards as he leaned his body forward to blast out into the battlefield, he would busy himself downing the bottle of Jack's before lunging into the air, boosted with a burst of air from his wings as he would land somewheres around six or seven feet in front of Peppa, dropping the empty bottle in midair. This distance was an estimate based on Peppa's walking speed. If he tried to dash forward, he'd probably get stomped on from the discending man, because he was actually moving relatively quickly. And even if he was fast enough to get past Tzenidaar's landing area first, then he'd have to deal with being flanked by two people; one in front, one behind. Also if he felt so inclined to moved to the sides, then Tzenidaar would simply land and turn to face him either way.

If it would be assumed that he was trying to come crashing down with an empty bottle over the man's head, then that would be surprising that he didnt, as it may have been an obvious choice, as empty bottles break much easier than full bottles, for there is little to no additional resistance to fill the space to resist impact. So, he would be doing something else, and maybe Peppa would have taken a little shock from the obvious motion Tzenidaar made to enter the area as quickly as he can and get to the man to perform his offensive assist.

Now, as he landed with his legs bending to absorb the impact, his body would lean back slightly as he would take a sharp inhalation of breath, the tips of his skeletal wings pressing against the floor to add to his balance and hold him upright, because if your legs are bent like his would be from a high landing, and you try to lean back, your balance wouldnt be too great eaither. Plus, he had imbibed quite the amount of alcohol beforehand. The stuff was in his system, and it was no wonder he didnt move all too straight when getting to the field, not to mention his view that the fight was moving way too slow. Because alcohol affects thought processes and rationality like that.

Speaking of alcohol, it was pretty clear that he spent a lot of time drinking, even drinking while performing the leap. And drinking before the fight announcement began. And drinking while heading towards the open rooftop arena. Hell, anyone would clearly tell that he had been drinking for a long a time. He even sort of smelled like alcohol. This wasnt actually because he drank so much that he was st face annihilated, but actually because he broke one of the bottles and spilled the contents all over himself while traversing the hallway to the field, as noted when he swore loudly before kicking open the door.

So, a whole bunch of alcohol in his system, plus taking a large breath as he leaned back? Many spectators would already be second guessing his assault, as they would have previously noted that he had some sort of ability involving fire. And alcohol is an extremely flamable liquid. One thing fire needed was fuel. So the obvious answer would be that he'd blow out a gout of flames from his mouth. Peppa would have roughly around half a second to register, think, and the react to the action just before his body would stop leaning back and tilt back forward. That is, assuming that he knew something about Tzenidaar's ability to use fire, whether he looked at the results from the last match where he had given the captain of team Ryugin severe burns, heard rumours, or whether he had seen him in action firsthand.

Would he figure out the attack just in time to leap back and avoid it in time, as moving to either side or up into the air would prove to be a very effective form of defense for if Tzenidaar was blowing fire from his mouth, all he really had to do was follow the man with his face to light him up.

Or maybe he would charge the chimera to make his own attack, thinking that if he could interrupt his attack first, he'd be saved from it at the expense of a yellow card for attacking an offensive striker.

Or maybe he just wouldnt be able to move in time after realising what would happen and would cover up, trying to block as much of the damage as possible.

But, whatever Peppa decided to do, if he, like everyone else who tried to stay one step ahead of the action, as it was doubtful anyone would stand there and let someone hit them with an unknown attack, it wouldnt matter.

Tzenidaar's body moved forward, keeping his sights on the man. He didnt blow a gout of flames, much to the disappointment of the spectators which were sure this is what he would do. Instead, his legs would begin to pump upwards. From a crouched position, slightly leaning forward, was he getting ready to pounce forward to get in close and strike the man?

Or if Peppa had moved forward some more, he'd be in a perfect position to do a rising uppercut.

Either way, whatever Peppa would expect, he could expect one thing if he was watching Tzenidaar, whose right eye flashed a bright blood red colour even as he began to rise, indicating the was performing a SPECIAL move of sorts.

However, given the distance between the two, after a possible surprise fake-out from the breath, Peppa may just be in the motion of making his initial defense as this would happen. He just might suddenly make a sloppy shift in defense to adjust to the feint.

Only he wouldn't be struck, just like the two other times where attack could have come, if he was an alert fighter, he'd be faced with another feint once again. Three altogether for the quick mind of a fighter to try and register and counter in a tiny timeframe given the total amount of time a fight may occur.

So, what the hell was he going to do? The flash of his right eye already gave away his intentions as clear as day. He was going to do something just then, but what was it?

His body straightened as his right arm flew into the air vertically, his left arm snapping around his front to cross over the his right side even as he rose. And when he stood upright, leaning forward slightly on his right side, his left hand would clasp on his right bicep as his right fist, held up vertically would have the back of the fist pointing towards Peppa.

And as for the breath he took, he let out a mighty proposition of SUPER proportions, possibly even EPIC if the spectators would deem so, TAUNTing the man on the other team before him in a STRYPHE-like fashion.

"SCREW YOU."

And thus, the drunken Tzenidaar would perform his offensive striker, a mighty SUPER TAUNT before he would leave the fighting zone. Rapidly giving out false intentions which people would assume were feints before he would attack the unprepared man with an offensive remark within the span of four or five seconds or so, give or take, while the remaining time he would take to prolong the syllables of the words and retreat.

STRIKER - OFFENSE

39themightyjello

Well that was unexpected, wasn't it? No doubt all eyes would be on the Striker as he flew in from overhead with breath stinking of Jack and visions of the horrific things he had done to the earlier opponents running rampant through their minds.

One thing they probably wouldn't notice amidst the confusion was the melancholy leader of this group of merciless killing machines no longer sitting apathetically upon the edge of that black coffin idly strumming chords on a bloodstained instrument.

What was he planning and where had he gone? The answers to these questions were both very simple: he was planning to put a quick end to everything... and right behind you.

It is the most logical method to approach a victim; flanking either from the side or from behind. Despite that attacking from the rear is the single most common tactic ever employed, it is also the single most effective for one reason: people do not have eyes in the back of their heads. It is a blind spot, and the only way to truly anticipate an enemy approaching from a blind spot is to know that they are going to attack and to know that they intend to exploit that weakness. However, with the thick blanket of drunken idiocy that Tzenidaar was stumbling about performing right in front of his face...

HW-Kk!

The motor wasn't even running. The circular blade of that giant saw wasn't even spinning. It was silent as death, and held in the hands of a man many would swear was the reaper himself. Quick, agile, precise, and with the rushing wind above the deck even the sound of his soft footfalls would be masked, and there would be no warning of the jagged metal blade swinging horizontally into Peppa's torso like a toothed glaive.

The angle of attack would depend entirely upon how he moved.

If he had stopped short when Tzenidaar came crashing down from the sky then he'd receive a strike across the center of his back, just below shoulder level.

If he had attempted to sidestep the chimera or had gotten himself trapped between the two of them, the result would be the same; only this time he would find himself surrounded on all three sides by the enemy.

This had nothing to do with the other two. It was not a coordinated effort. Tzenidaar had created an opportunity, and Joshua had moved to capitalize upon it.

It was not teamwork. It was an assassination.

"What are you doing?" the maintenance crew shift leader asked.

"What, me? I'm just fixing this va-"

"No, really... what's with that?" He jabbed his subordinate in the chest with a wrench.

"It's... just my t-shirt."

43Maximos

Maximos hadnt even seen Joshua move, but he saw the chimera throw a punch. It was something like a starter gun for a race. And this was a sort of monstrous race to a horrific finish leaving on lone fighter at its core.

There was a sudden glow across Maximos's feet, from the shins, beneath the pant legs down across the soles of the surface of the boot, into the soles, and then a burst. A single sudden burst of black that launched the fighter forward and up into the air, it was a sort of extended jump of sorts, an advanced leap, about 12 feet up.

His arms splayed out to either side, his legs tucked up near his chest. And his coat tails blew as he was carried up and over.

His timing was accidental and yet perfect as Joshua ran in beneath him.

If Peppa was able to notice Tzen, he might not notice Joshua. But if he indeed noticed Joshua, there was no way to notice the shadow looming above. Nor the small black stones he cast from both hands as he leaped overhead. Five to be exact.

As Joshua attacked, in that very instant so did Maximos. The stones made five simultaneous gentle snaps though such would never be heard over the loud "Screw You", or the rip-roar of Joshua's chain swords.

The snap signified the transformation of the stone into their true form. Swords. 5 to be exact, each with a blade 4ft long and 3inches wide longswords. And each immediately bore down like silent rain on their target below.

Peppa.

These were no simple attacks, Maximos's eyes were ever vigil during the second it would take for them to soar, not drop downwards. Slight chances in motion could easily be corrected so as to Maximos their ability to hit. And impale. And pin. As such was there unrelenting goal. From above and slightly behind the man, giving them something of a angled arch.

A demon in front, a chainsaw behind, a shout from the side, and swords from above. Escape seemed night impossible. Survival seemed highly unlikely.

Regardless of the attack. Two feet would smack on the opposite side of the ring. His eye flared as it gazed on the opposing team. The hooded man muttering a stream of words, with something of a scowl cast on his face.

He would turn, as the glow faded from his boots, and begin walking his way back across. Barely even a sign of concern for the possibly slain man behind him. And hardly even a glance of eye contact. He cared nothing for what they had to say, or do. His job was done here. And with that, he made his way to the exit of the gynasium, never once casting a glance at the ring.

44Liquid Lights

Stryphe was about to ask what the hell that little metal stick was that his opponent was waving around when the rest of his team decided to jump in on the fight. One after another. He didn't, not for a second, take his eyes of his foe. He knew where his allies were; what they were doing, be that through his peripheral vision or other sences, he knew. And he was focused.

He pointed upwards, smirking, to warn the Jedi of the descending swords, all five of them. He didn't bother to issue a warning for what was coming from behind, and with all these distractions, the man would probably stop paying attention to Stryphe right index finger as soon as "above?" was processed in the Jedi's mind.

In an instant, an arrow-sized bolt of green energy crackled into existence at the tip of Stryphe's finger. The synapse between the energy and his finger as the axis, carefull not to actually move his finger too much, his arm rose slightly and his wrist bent until the index finger that was once pointing up was aimed straight for the Jedi's presented bicep, towards the center of his torso. Attacking Stryphe was no longer an option- and if it was, Stryphe would know, and the Jedi would only be serving to bring about his own end.

The air around Stryphe's finger let out a loud snapping sound and the bolt of energy fired off with the speed of an arrow fired from a bow. From this range, the shot was dead accurate- the bolt would impale the Jedi, burrying itself deep within his body. Soon after, if Stryphe so chose, it would explode. If dodged, the bolt would fly harmlessly off the platform, since Josh was attacking the Jedi's back and it was the Jedi's side that was pointed at Stryphe.

The attack was merciless- it was meant for long range, and for complete destruction. Was it neccesary now, when his team members had his opponent entirely distracted? Not at all.

And what about Stryphe kind warning to the Jedi? Deception. Stryphe's only intention was to fluster the man and provide him with even more to think about all with a flare of irony. It was beautiful.

From his metaphorical high horse on the sidelines, an armor-covered judge flipped his arm out towards the gangbang.

"Yellow card, Joshua!"

Too many strikers on the play. Ten yards, first down.

The second judge stepped up to the sidelines to deliver a similar card.

"Yellow card, Maximos! Coming in early after a striker."

The second card floated in front of the armoured figure, then in a display of fancy runic judge magic the card dissapeared in a puff of black smoke. It would soon phase right into the hand of the leaving Maximos.

With that the two judges stood back to back a delivered the most kick-a** pose one would ever see. One judge had his arms crossed and was standing all stoic, while the other was doing some sort of ninja crap on bent knees.

With that, the triple tech was over...

C-C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER!

End result: Yellow Card x1, Joshua. Yellow Card x1, Maximos.

49-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

STRIKER OFFENSE

50-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

OMG-WTF?!

Kichiro's eyes were wide and open, seeing his best friend get rush-am-boughed from nearly every direction. He knew there was no way he could stop Stryphe's attack, or any of the other gangbangers that had flags being thrown at them, but at least he could try to give Peppa some breathing room.

A little break in between onslaughts to recover if it were at all possible.

Kichiro had to do something.

The equipment. Wrote:

Smoke Grenades are in a satchel located on his right side along with some other nifty objects. There are four small balls that activate when thrown at the ground.

As Kichiro watched swords, energy arrow, and axe all over the jedi, his hands fumbled around in a pouch at his side. Both hands came out with balls, and that's what he'd use at the moment.

The ability Wrote:

General use in Chakranchi: He can create and manipulate a spiritually created flame.

Flames rose in a hurry from his solar plexus chakra since the moment the striker was declared, and now they were all raising to his hands. They were under his control, and they were being made as to not detonate his balls.

Because such an attack as this needed balls.

Kichiro used the yellow flames to suddenly boost the four balls from his hands, around the team members moving this way and that. His manipulation used as a sort of controlled fireball effect around the grenades. They'd all shoot at blurring speeds towards Stryphe's feet, a yard between him and Peppa, and then they'd detonate.

Immediatly after all the attacks hit Peppa.

Four smoke grenades detonating and smoke pouring off everywhere, into lungs and eyes a like. The flames would help guide the smoke in the direction Kichiro wanted, and then shoot in a flash to hopefully burn Styphe a bit before Kichiro's time was up.

All the while, Kichiro was standing just inside the arena for the striker. He'd now step out and cool down the jets, hoping the smoke and flames would give Peppa enough time to recover.

"Did... you just see that?" Kichiro would turn to Minute, a bit shocked as to what had happened to Peppa.

Though now, with all that smoke in the area, there'd likely not be much to be seen at all.

51Maximos

Maximos did the oddest thing.

One would expect that after receiving a card such as this, that the fighter would be angry...perhaps upset...perhaps even outraged.

He had remembered no rules exactly stating that the previous maneuver could not be done. He remembered a rule about the same person using an assist, but the only problem he knew of involving the teams attack was its moral issues.

And yet morality while listed on no rule sheets, was in and of itself, a rule. He held up the card. Reading over his alleged crime...and then he grinned. From ear to ear. It was not in the slightest a grin of sarcasm, wit, even anger. It was the sort of grin you give when you lay a careful trap on the chess piece and your opponent takes the bait, turning the game in your favor. But how could the card be in his favor?

He didnt say precisely, rather he tucked the yellow sheet in his jacket pocket, before sliding open the gym door, that grin plastered on his face as the camera stole dozens of snap shots.

Give evil nothing to oppose and it will disappear by itself...

52Just Three Words

"NO, I'm blind, of course I saw it! Pepe got ganged banged!" Minute shouted, flailing her arms above her head. Soon to be on her tippy toes pointing at the opposing team. "STOP BULLYING PEPPA, YOU OVER GROWN BACKYARD BULLIES!" She'd stop, getting back onto her feet, pushing her hair up to clip behind her head.

This was ridiculous.

"carded..and they don't even care."

smilies/icon_cool.gif

"How oldschool."

53Peppa Clause

Peppa would halt his motions as the man landed in front of him. True, he was a adapt fighter and would most certainly be cautious. Yet he kept his movements to instinct and visual. Scanning his opponent through the force the entire time, he couldn't help but to feel as if there was going to be a flame coming soon.

So his feint did indeed work. Despite not seeing fire yet, the motion of arching back was all too familiar for Peppa. He would charge his own spirit, preparing for a dissapation while jumping backwards to give himself you know, space.

Than simuetaneously he would notice three things coming at him. None of which he could comprehend fully in the given time. Peppa freaked out, what would one do if he was walking down the hallway and suddenly felt as if he was goign to be punched from every direction?

A normal person would tense themselfs up and sort of, space.

Peppa not wanting to die yet would attempt to turn around to the force behind him. Barely making a 360 just in time to see the blade coming down across his chest. Into his chest. Peppa for that second would begin to think a few things...such as.

Maybe I should have ******** joined this tourney with a metal vest.

Simuetaneously wiht these events, the swords would drop down on him. Thoroughly stuck against the man's blade with a few organs against it, he had nowhere to go. Now from above, the profile was slim for non fatal shots. There was a head in the middle and arterys on the side. Doesn't matter either way, Peppa was struck in all three spots.

It was maybe than he could have finished those thoughts, and begin wondering what the ******** he was goign to do.

A arrow of green energy would be shot into him from the back. Severing his spine and probably going into the guitar. The world would seem darker as Peppa dissapeaared into the smoke....nothing seemed to be right anymore. The Jedi found himself loosing hold of his body despite his powerful principles of the spirit and the mind.

Mind, what the hell was he talking about, he couldn't have finished those thoughts. A sowrd had landed straight through the base of his skull, protruding out his jaw with little gray matter dripping off the edge of th eblade. Even if he did have a intact brain, it would run out of blood in seconds, up to three of the random blades having struck his shoulders rather niceley. Almost cleaving off his left arm in one spot while another was jammed into his lungs.

The arrow had narrowly dodged Peppa's heart, having struck the spinal collum, just outside of the heart. Yet if the arrow was to explode it would than too take Peppa out fatally in yet another horrific way. It had not hit the heart but it had struck a vein, causing a overly graphic blood splat across both sides of Peppa.

Blood would splatter out across Peppa's chest, back, face, and shoulders. Everywhere quite litterally. Perhaps if he was super duper ultra lucky he may kill somone with a fatal blood transfusion. You know, maybe somone wasn't wearing a band aid or something.

That would be all this man could hope for. Still being held against the mans blade with his right hand almost in attacking position. Finger limply pressed against the sabre button. He was about to turn on the lightsabre and attempt to attack the guitar but even with his preminitions he hadn't foreseen running into the guitar so fast. The opponent had sneaked on him far too quickly for him to have comprehended.

Seeing how all four of these events almost simuetaneously happend, a spirit of Peppa would speculate that there was nothign he could do. He was but one man and well.....having been thrown into a amazing combo by one man and comboed by three. He was thoroughly dead.

...

....

Did somone s**t their pants?

Tzenidaar took a second, or rather, three seconds to figure out what had just happened in response to him jumping in to perform a SUPER TAUNT. And of course, he was thouroughly surprised that his entire team would take the opportunity to jump the man because of it. He didnt even know it would happen in the first place, but for the time he took to realise what had happened, and when the surprise subsided, he would do one thing; hurl a sloppy drunken haymaker at Joshua when he got back to the sidelines.

Why? Because he was mad. Not because they probably just killed the man or something and gained a red card, possibly picking up enough penalties to make their team lose. Oh no, that wasnt important at all, he didnt really care about winning the tournament. But he did care about having a chance to go up against a few select individuals.

However, that wasnt the reason he threw the punch. He was mad. Mad that his team had just wasted the remaining three striker's alloted to their team. This meant that he wouldnt be allowed to jump in at random moments of the fights because he thought things were moving too slowly.

Grr. ANGER.

He'd barely been able to leap away from the mysterious balls before they'd exploded- revealing themselves to be harmless smoke. It was a cover for the Jedi to make an escape, Stryphe thought.

Normally, if he hadn't been so absorbed in the slaughter, he would have seen more to a move such as this, possibly even noticed the spiritual flames. Right now, that was not so.

Fortunately, he'd been cautious enough towards the part of the attack he did barely notice- the smoke balls. The flames would graze his right side and Stryphe would tense in momentary pain and surprise before patting away the heat and pain. His jumpsuit took the most damage.

As for the Jedi, it was hard to see through the smoke to see what was going on, but no one would have to wait long for the smoke to clear at this altitude. Stryphe's lack of focus, long strayed to other things from when he'd made his own attack, would cause the arrow of green energy to dissapate, the concentrated energy transfering itself harmlessly into the world around it.

That wouldn't do a damn thing to help his poor opponent, though. Stryphe couldn't exactly be proud of himself, either. There wasn't much gloating to be had here- it had been a slaughter.

So he shrugged, producing a smoke from a front left breat pocket in the scorched jumpsuit.

"Next?"

As the gory scene passed through the thin opening of the judges helm, the armoured figure took a moment to ponder the scene that had just transpired. What how could something like this possibly happen? Of course the cameras were cut, you couldn't broadcast a ******** snuff film on national television.

The censors panicked, the judge remained ever calm. He knew one thing and one thing alone:

themightyjello Wrote:

It was not teamwork. It was an assassination.

First there was the issue of the man actually fighting. The demon sent a bolt through the man like a shotgun at close range. There was no question here that the man knew what he was doing.

"Red Card, Stryphe. Killing of an opponent." The judge was not done though, "White Card Stryphe, murderous intent."

That was not the end of it though. When you act as a team to kill a man you are each trialed, in justice you cannot chose the man who just so happend to be fighting when the fatality occured. No, each participant was punished for their crime. Thus the accomplices were judged. Joshua had instigated this assassination, and Maximos had attacked with a flurry that could not have possibly been dodged. Thus twice the judge yelled:

"Red Card, Joshua. Killing of an opponent. White Card Joshua, murderous intent."

"Red Card, Maximos. Killing of an opponent." His breath came here, "White Card Maximos, murderous intent."

Nobody, not even minor roles, escape the long arm of the law. So it was not alarming when the judge turned on the chimera. What was surprising was that he wasn't the one who killed another fighter."

"Yellow Card, Tzenidaar." There was another pause as the rapt audience wondered what penalty the least involved party would receive, "Excessive taunting."

The cards circled around the judge then began twirling in place, and finally phased into the proper recipients hand.

If it wasn't such a grim moment there would probably be laughter. Hell, there would probably be laugher from a** Tear anyway.

"Two red cards equal a loss, one loss for a** Tear." The judge held up two, and then one finger respectively.

"A white card, meaning disqualification, also counts as a loss towards the team." The judge held up two gauntleted fingers in a mock victory sign, "Two additional losses for a** Tear."

"Two victories are required to progress. Lu Bu has claimed three victories by default." The judge crossed his arms and as he spoke...

"Lu Bu advances."

57themightyjello

Peppa fell down. He fell down and stayed down.

The match was called, and Joshua had no need to run out of the ring before a ten count anymore. He simply rested the neck of the guitar against his shoulder; the blade freshly soaked in blood and dripping from the teeth of it; and grabbed Peppa by the ankle.

He'd brought a coffin. He was going to use a coffin.

There was a wet streak left behind upon the gymnasium floor as a freshly ventilated body was dragged across it. Straight to the edge where a black pine box awaited its occupant.

58-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

Kichiro just kinda stood there, mouth dropped open and looking at the scene. The warrior never expected something like that to happen in the tournament. Even after Sieg had nearly been killed, and the monster Rieko had been let loose on some poor creature in the hotel, Kichiro couldn't be prepared for something like this.

They killed Peppa.

"I..." Tears formed in Kichiro's eyes as he looked towards the Judge, and then they sizzled and vamporized.

Kichiro turned and headed back towards the Infirmary. They were disqualified for their ambush on Peppa, that was all that the Judge could do. And Kichiro couldn't exact vengence.

All he could do was turn and walk away.

59Just Three Words

Silence, no one spoke. No one said a word. Just stood there, gawking at the judge. Eyes wide, and mouths hung loose. Those who were watching over the comforts of their home, and stadiums; stood there. Watching the large screen as the Judges face filled it.

The speakers booming in once he spoke.

Quote: "Lu Bu advances."

And then, shouts errupted, anger, hatered, people couldn't believe it, after turning their heads away from the gruesome scene that took part just seconds before, to now see that Team a** Tear had lost by disqualification and Lu-bu advanced.

"THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!"

"THIS FIGHT IS SET!"

"I BET MY HOUSE ON THOSE GUYS!"

"What will I do!?"

Millions of people shouted, pissed off at the results, fangirls, fanboys, and just plain fans dug into their pockets, sat at their computer desks, and even called in voicing their complaints and asking questions. People we're upset.

The underdogs had won.

And there on the sidelines was Minute, her eyes wide, hands down by her sides unable to move. She couldn't believe it, after just seeing her teammate die, the voice that echoed in her ears would snap her back into reality.

With a sigh, Minute would sigh, turning around, somewhat disappointed.

"An empty win..."

And then this still happened. Only minus the possible loss and put in a definate loss.

61Liquid Lights

He watched Joshua drag the carcass across the platform, looking entirely bored. But what was this? The cigarette he'd lit was quivering in between pursed lips- the calm before the storm.

The demon man hadn't read a single rule about the tournament- he was invited by Joshua and that had been that. And now what was this? They were disqualified from the tournament?

In all honestly, he wasn't in it to win it. Most people weren't- he'd just wanted to throw down. And now some dude was dead. Did that matter to Stryphe? Not quite, but still. The former crime boss was under the impression that he'd end up getting some action. Admittedly, the jedi-slaying had been pretty sweet. Pitiful, but awesome.

He sympathized with team Lu-Bu. Not because he'd feel the same if he'd lost anyone from TAT, but there were people in the world that, if they died before his eyes, would leave him pretty pissed off. There was actually a second in which he admired those left on Lu-Bu for handling it so well and not going on a rampage.

For a moment, he'd been ready to make lunge for the judge and start throwing down, but the few seconds he took contemplating what had just happened caused him to sit down, cross-legged, in the middle of the platform- not far from where he'd started the fight just moments ago, his halberd still leaning on his right shoulder.

The cigarette burned, bits of ash flying away on the wind. His hair whipped this way and that. He hadn't wished for the man's death- not at all. But what had happened? All four members of the team got so caught up in their bloodlust, their violent dispositions and desire for total dominance that they'd acted as sharks drawn to blood in the water.

There was as much human in Stryphe as their was bloodthirsty, cold demon. It was always at the worst possible times that he most felt in touch with that humanity, and one of those times was now. Though there was nothing to change what they'd done, he regret for what they'd done.

You're forgetting again, Stryphe. You're mortal now- you can't keep getting away with all this sinning.

A voice, cold and slithering. Stryphe gave a slight nod.

Very interesting- you weren't even concerned about saving your sorry mortal a**. You were actually feeling sorry for the poor sap.

"Can't be helped," He muttered, pinching the cigarette between two figures and whipping it into the wind.

(( NPC ))

And for the first time since it happened, it was finally quiet enough, and the people who were awestruck had regained enough of their senses to notice that coming from every speaker on the platform was just... static.

The microphone was rolling slowly across the platform unattended, and as for the young man that had held it... he seemed almost catatonic. He stood still and silent, hardly breathing, staring blankly into space with his mouth agape as if what had just happened was still happening... in fact, it was, over and over in his mind the scene was replaying itself endlessly. His only movements were the trembling of his hands and the fast swell and shrink of his chest as he breathed in a panic.

smilies/burning_eyes.gif

The boy fell immediately to his knees, clutching his head with both hands like he was in pain. The heels of his palms pressed against his eyes, his fingers dragged across his scalp, and his whole body was shaking.

This was not the first time he had seen death, and it would not be the last. He had experienced it, he had watched it, he had caused it, but within a span of seconds a man had been quickly and brutally cut down. In the boy's eyes the image persisted of a pieced body falling to the ground with a wet thud and laying in a pool of its own slowly draining fluid.

Apparently... something inside... had just snapped.

He kicked the lid off of the coffin and rolled Peppa's body into it with his foot after extracting the shadow swords and throwing them to the ground beside the pine box. The guitarsaw was dropped atop them; making it officially a pile of deadly weapons covered in Peppa's blood; and Joshua bent down to slide the lid back in place.

Then he sat.

He just sat back upon the coffin and closed his eyes again, folding his hands in front of him.

Maximos Wrote:

Joshua wanted to move Peppa's body, but the swords had no intention of releasing it. It was pinned, unless he planed to shred the body even further, it was going no where.

Maximos Wrote:

Give evil nothing to oppose and it will disappear by itself...

And it did.

Camera's stole image of a black clad warrior hovering outside the gym door. The Judges sent cards to competitors, but, as those tendrils wrapped around his FIGHTER bracelet, cameras would zoom in on the bits of plastic and glass sprinkling from his arm as the device chipped under the pressure.

Questions, mystery, intrigue...annoyance?

Maximos always had a horrific sense of timing, and an even more horrible flair for the dramatic.

Joshua wanted to move Peppa's body, but the swords had no intention of releasing it. It was pinned, unless he planed to shred the body even further, it was going no where. Not to mention Joshua reached for the body after the judge call.

Maximos was smiling, he shouldnt have been smiling. Smiling like this was never good, it meant something, something sneaky perhaps. He waited patiently for the judges annoucement to finish. The word of the law is final, and irrefutable. TAT had fallen.

Maximos was happy about this? How could he be? He was one of them wasnt he? One of the horrible fearsome beasts that stalked the halls of HoH? Didnt he strike fear into the hearts of those that saw him threatening death, and drinking enough booze to make an elephant pass out?

Wasnt he a monster? A monster of death? The god that kills gods?

No. Maximos was nothing as weak as that. His station was not a cause or need to cause death, merely a reason to bypass it.

As the judge finished his sentence. Maximos's fist clenched, and Peppa rose. Not to life, rather the swords impaling his body lifted him from the ground a good 10ft straight up, as Maximos shoved back open the gynasium doors.

A sword had gone through Peppa's jaw, and so his mouth was opened. The Shadow Warrior had shown great adeptness at throwing small objects, a flick of his wrist delivered a black ball straight at Peppa's mouth containing nothing other that pureed Life Leaf.

On Aria, Life Leaf was a very powerful curative, the small plant only produced leaves once every three years. The leafs made for cures of any sort. In once occurance it was even said to restore life to a man that had been sliced clean in two.

As the ball entered Peppa's mouth, it dissolved delivering the liquid.

Maximos himself man a straight line for the crucified corpse. His right hand lifted straight up passing through a particular soul that had unified itself with The Force.

Maximos Wrote:
  • Cursed Hand of the Twilight Soul - Maledicto Manus de Crepusculum Animus

With his bare hand Maximos is able to release, or absorb energy from souls around him. Alternatively, he can use his hand, gloved or not to grasp neighboring free and wandering souls. Soul not attached to a body.

Maximos couldnt sense the Force, but he could sense Souls that had not passed on, and with a pass of his hand through the spirit, Peppa would feel himself getting tugged along with The Reaper.

Anyone watching close of enough would be able to behold the spectacle of sinew and muscle reaching out as streaks of what seemed to be green ethereal leaf tugged the body together in one piece, regeneration it back to whole. Chainsawed flesh was regrown and rebuilt bones healed and re-adjusted, quite basically the body was restored to full, but without a soul. And as the pieces healed the swords retreated. With a smack Maximos's hand delivered the final piece to the chest of one Jedi. His body would feel life forced back into it just before it hit the ground, and likely instinctually catch itself.

Maximos did the unthinkable. He met the man with a smile! Scratching the back of his head sort of nervous like.

Sorry about dragging you into that....congratulations though!

65Kraun

Apparently none of that happened. So, scratch all that.

The chimera would begin to leave. Why? Because he needed to take a piss.

He'd probably wander back after he finished that.

66Liquid Lights

Well, he thought, standing, looks like there's only one thing left to do.

He made his way to the edge of the gymnasium where, by some miracle, his once dead opponent was there living. But that wasn't of much conern to Stryphe right now. He'd missed a fight, and was facing some serious consequences for the series of events that had led up to the Jedi's death. Was he innocent? Hell, no. But he wasn't going to beat himself up about it. It seemed that the team, once they'd actually managed to kill someone, were having some second thoughts about who they were.

It was truely all a matter of perspective, though. Years ago, the loss of a single human life would have been like the passing of an insect to Stryphe. Now things were different. Or at least they were getting there.

Does it even matter? No.

He solemnly addressed the question to his teammates, his grip tightening on his halberd.

"Comrades." He said, his eyes going from side to side, waiting until they were all paying attention, "What is our regret worth?"

What was going through his mind? It was that question of perspective. A question of value the value of morality- an ambiguity ever tormenting a demon turned man.

67themightyjello

Joshua, who had still gone back to sitting on the coffin (though now the guitar was placed back inside it rather than resting in his lap), looked over.

"...what?"

It was a what. That question really held no meaning for him. Regret was not worth anything, as long as you did not put any worth in it. Regret was given worth by oneself, and only held to one's own actions... or else you were a fool for regretting things you took no part in.

Joshua had killed countless people in the past, thousands easily. Did he regret this? Yes. Were there some among those faceless masses that he regretted more than others? Undoubtably. Had the burden of that guilt shaped the way that he lived his life? More than anything else.

However, one life is one life. All lives had the same value, whether it was a proud warrior or a turnip farmer. The only lives without value are those that devalue themselves through their actions.

What is our regret worth?

Absolutely nothing... and everything.

But he wasn't about to sit there and explain that when he'd been kept up all night by a metal man.

68Liquid Lights

Stryphe hadn't been looking for an explanation anyways, but he hadn't been looking for a one word answer. Honestly, he hadn't known why he'd asked the question. Perhaps he'd been thinking out loud- he had his own answer. He already knew it. He spoke harshly.

"It's a very simple question- one you could easily complicate. The truth is, though, it's not worth a damn thing. It never will be, it never has been. Remorse," His words became growls, "is for the dead."

He smirked, and there was a moment of silence where maybe Joshua had been about to respond- maybe not. It didn't matter.

His right hand yanked downwards- it's his hands grip was the shaft of his mighty halberd. His shoulder as the fulcrum, the weapon came down at Joshua in a slashing, crushing arc. An attack easily avoided or blocked by the Reaper- it was more intended to say "we're fighting- right now" than anything else.

69themightyjello

Avoid? Avoiding is for when you haven't been up all night drinking and trying to get the rock music out of your head. Avoiding is for when you're feeling light and nimble and ready to pummel circles around a guy. Avoiding is when you're not the proxy of Death upon this world, or a killer so feared in some regions that you've taken the place of the boogy man in old crone's stories to frighten children, and are in a very, very sour mood.

The halberd head halted just short of striking; Joshua's hand gripping the shaft immediately behind the blade. The pine lid upon the coffin cracked slightly in protest of the force that the weapon had behind it even with just the weight of it coming down.

"Remorse is a crutch. It only matters to the people that are too weak to move on."

70Liquid Lights

"I agree," He said, taking a moment to simply converse, "but no matter how strong we are, we will all face our regrets at our final judgement, which comes to all."

He shifted his grip and pulled upwards on the weapon, slipping it out of Joshua's grip and placing the butt end against the floor. The difference in heighth between Stryphe and his weapon of choice was a sight. He stood there with it, convinced that Joshua wasn't up for a spar-philosphy.

"That's what I'm getting at when I tell you 'remorse is for the dead', Joshua..."

He produced a smoke absentmindedly, caught up in their conversation obviously brought about by events recently transpired.

"...the dead can do nothing about their regrets. Wether or not we choose to let ourselves feel it now, we'll face it all at once sooner or later."

71themightyjello

Absentmindedly smoking. Absentmindedly speaking. Obviously his mind was absent...

...so Joshua decided to call it home by ripping the lid off of the coffin and twirling it hard lengthways into Stryphe's chest like a six-foot cricket bat.

"The dead whine too much!"

72Liquid Lights

He spat out the cigarette to the side, ash and smoke trailing in the air.

That was better.

He jabbed the blade-end of his halberd straight into the center of the oncoming coffin and spun counterclockwise. The blade ripped into the center of the coffin cover and bid hard, half the wicked, jagged blade erupting out the other side, surrounded by large splinters. The spin (which opposed the direction Joshua had swung the cover), the halberd lodged in the coffin-top, and Stryphe's powerful grip served to rip the coffin out of Joshua's grip as well and, if not, to leave Joshua holding nothing more than a couple chunks of wood.

"You'll be listening to them in a second!"

Now the coffin lid + halberd were combined to make one giant hammer, with Stryphe aiming to break the coffin on Joshua's skull, completing the spin and returning the lid.

73themightyjello

That had been happening to him a lot lately... the whole 'blunt wooden objects falling apart in his hands' thing. Two chairs, a table, part of a door, and now a coffin lid... he seemed to have bad luck with furniture. This time he didn't even try and hold on. The wood was getting ripped out of his hands? Let it.

Stryphe spun counterclockwise with the halberd tip rammed into the boards, and it came around just in time to -

VRRN!

Shunk! ...tottle-tottle.

The coffin lid split straight in half as a revving guitarsaw blade cut straight through it. Now, Joshua wasn't a real whiz with a guitar, but he was a real prodigy with things intended to sever flesh and bone, as he had just demonstrated. With one hand on the neck of the guitar near the base, and the other positioned at the top of the neck, he held the weapon in a two-handed grip as if it were a broadaxe.

He pressed the throttle, giving it more gas, and the engine responded with a mighty roar as the three-foot-diameter circular saw blade mounted in the guitar base spun to fantastic speeds with a jet of flame encircling the blade as its teeth cut through the air. This was, after all, a flaming guitarsaw when the motor was running, thanks to the fuel delivery system that kept it wreathed in badass fire.

"I'm always listening."

74Liquid Lights

He stopped for a second, halberd held in front of him with both hands.

"Where the hell'd you get that thing?" smilies/icon_eek.gif

Judge post still stands, only with two less white cards. Because two red cards count for a loss, and a white card counts as a loss. It takes two wins for a team to advance automaticly, Thus Lu bu will advance still anyway.

HOWEVER: The option to have one more fight is now open. Since only two fights are spoken for. Judges, as much as you'll hate me for that, will still have to score that fight.

76-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

Fists clenched, Kichiro heard some sorta activity with Maximos and then with the other team members. What could they be doing now?

Hadn't they done enough with murdering Peppa.

Kichiro glowed a small yellow aura from fighting with his own self control at the moment, that need for revenge that was so inbred to people with their best friends. He had become so desensatized to death, that the fact that Peppa's death could bother him so much was unsettling in itself.

Then he turned his head to looked back at what was happening.

"Are you serious?" Coffin, Peppa bloody, and a flaming chainsaw guitar thing?

...

What the hell.

Joshua revved it a few more times, letting the flames wreathing around it from the jets.

"...giftshop."

79Liquid Lights

He let his halberd drop to the ground and began to unzip the top part of the jumpsuit, stopping at waist level. He removed his arms from the sleeves and rolled the top half of it down to his waist- the damn thing was really quite restrictive and it would offer no help in defending against the guitarsaw.

"Well," He egged, "let me have it then!"

There was no way he was going in for an attack with that thing all revved up- not against Joshua.

80themightyjello

"You play?"

Of course, Joshua couldn't play guitar... but he'd been sitting up all night unable to sleep so he'd managed to figure out the basics of it. However, with the cord ripped out it couldn't plug into an amp until someone fixed it, so it didn't quite sound right at all.

And then... he just tossed it.

81-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

Ka-thunk.

A fiery shuriken embedded in the thing to knock it from the air betweent hem, and though the fire mightn't have done anything, Kichiro used it for its boosting effect more than the flame. Shuriken by fireball express to get rid of that thing from between them.

"What the hell are you two doing?"

Kichiro stood back a little from them, just inside the gymnasium with his arms folding back over his chest. If they turned to see what had launched the spinning "ninja star" that is. Crystal green eyes glinted off the two of them, yellow flames licking around him.

"Kill my teammate with a gangbang, and have our team go on with absolutely no reason other than you couldn't..." Kichiro fought for the words, "Keep your goddamn selves under control. You can't fight worth s**t one on one, so you have to knock one of my teammates out of the tournament."

Then he nodded to the guitar which just got knocked out of the way.

"And then..." Kichiro glared, "You play with toys like nothing ever happened."

82Liquid Lights

What? smilies/icon_stare.gif

smilies/icon_neutral.gif Ooooooooh.

The guitar saw, it's engine still running, danced dangerously around on the gymnasium floor, threatening to hack off somebody's foot. Stryphe decided to move away, quickly sweeping his halberd up off the floor and walking towards the firey Kichiro.

He let the weapon rest behind his neck, on his shoulders, as he walked. Stryphe's arms hung from the pole by the wrists, relaxed. The guitar saw jumped around wildly behind him, making it's loud doomy buzz.

The look on his face, as he approached the seething Kichiro, was one of solemnity and calm, thoughtful reflection. Since the death of the Jedi, he had been pondering what it was to feel regret for evil deeds such as this.

He realized the final question that he had to ask himself, the answer being one that would settle this inner turmoil that'd plagued him for years, was did he fear his judgement? Was he a coward, or did he actually care?

"For taking the life of your friend, someone who'd done us no wrong," He began, now face-to-face with Kichiro, his body totally open and exposed for attack and his expression hardened, "we are wicked men, and truely deserve judgement for what we've done today..."

He drew back from Kichiro, now full of nonchalance, cockiness, his sincerity seemingly forgotten, and started to walk away.

"...But you might want to think twice about it."

As condescending as possible- he liked seeing people get all worked up.

83-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

Kichiro didn't even think about it, merely spit a sizzling lugie just short of Stryphe's feet.

"The judges of the tournament have already handed down their judgement." Kichiro stated bluntly, "And I've no reason to dirty my hands illegally on one that needed others to ambush an oppenant."

Kichiro's lips curled into a malicious smirk, one that was rarely seen 'pon the normally goofy Chimagin. This tournament seemed to bring out the best in him against Clash, and the worst in him now. Arms unfolded from his chest, hands coming to rest down at his sides and twitching near the hilts of his blades.

Chances are the guitar saw would just dance right off the blimp and fall into the water, or whatever was below.

Kichiro didn't rightly care as he looked at the dishonorable asshat. Er.. AssTear. "I don't even think the cameras are on anymore, after what your team of cowards pulled off."

84Kraun

"Hey guys, who's up next?"

Tzenidaar came back onto the scene, somewhat more sober than before, because his body metabolizes stuff fast. It was just a steady and constant supply of alcohol which put him in a drunken state before, but him now was of little difference than him before. If he could be considered drunk beforehand, he was tipsy now.

Oh right, and because he was pretty drunk before, he was tuning out a whole bunch of stuff, and missed the judge's call.

If he was that fast Maximos couldnt figure how they ever even touched him! But that was beside the point. He had asked a very direct question, with a very honest answer. And the answer would be delivered with a smile, and a stout nod, as if Maximos had just delivered the time of day.

Me.

And he lowered his twitch hand back down to his side. It took a moment, but not because of a sword to his brain Maximos was somewhat behind in matters of social interaction like this. You see if he left things phrased like that, he would seem alot worse off than he was acting, so he had to complete the thought with.

But your all better now!

Yeah...like that was supposed to help. He had something of an awkward silence. One of those off moments. His eyes traced the ground, his foot kicked a random piece of...well of Peppa...which made the moment that much more uncomfortable. And really not knowing what else to say, he just sort of slinked off back to the sidelines.

It's all easy to understand.

One, Morally bad to do speedhacking in a match.

Two, He hadn't charged up any such energys which Master speed requires gravity altering on small degrees, psychic pushes, force energy channels. Etc. Etc.

Three, He hadn't even mentioned entering the force on his first post

Four, He had been suprised by all of the actions at once-the hindered psychic wouldn't even know where to run.

Five, He never knew what hit him in the first place.

Eyes lookign up to maximos at the 'I KILLED YOU! HAHA' thing, he would grin. He couldn't blame the man, it was all a gangbang in the end. So with a slight shrug he would nod his head in a sort of respectful manner. No honor in killing Peppa but the man was honorable for his actions afterwards.

Indeed I am. It's all good my brother. We're all here for one goal, a good fight. I'm sorry I couldn't ive any of you guys that. Perhaps in a different setting whre I wasn't so.....restrained I could have.

Did he just apologise for dieng?

89Maximos

Yes...yes it sounded like he just did. And Maximos already without words REALLY didnt know what to say to that. How do you tell a man its alright that he died? Or rather, its alright that you killed him? Visiting both sides of life and death give a person a bit of an off point of view on such a thing. He just kind of nodded.

Please dont, after all I was the one to end you prematurely, you have at least thr...

He stopped himself suddenly, even going so far as to cup his hand over his mouth. He entirely was NOT supposed to reveal that. Thankfully he caught it before hand.

You have...alot...

A slight pause as he tried to place the words together.

...alot more time, maybe we can meet up again some time in the future.

With a smile, and a wave he was off. Maybe he was crazy, thats how he switched from cold to friendly so fast. Maybe he was just wierd and death carried no wieght to him. He certainly didnt know.

All he knew was to give a stout nod, and a wave, and be off. And he did just that. Honor...Maximos may have had that at one point...and the Destroyer most certainly never did...so what did that leave him with...? He didnt know. But he would have to burden himself with that another time.

Joshua, having only half a coffin left to mess with, picked up the saw from where it skittered off the ground and slung it over his shoulder.

Then he went.

Where? Hard to tell. Maybe he went to join Tzen at the bar. Maybe he went to finally get some sleep. Probably the latter. Sleep is good for the not-murdering-people.

91Liquid Lights

Without warning, tired of how uppity Kichi was getting, Stryphe whirled on his heel, gripping the halberd close to the end of the pole. The blade of the halberd was headed straight for Kichi's neck.

92-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

Gritted teeth, Kichiro's right forearm came up. There'd by some ruffling of overcoat, then a searing rip as the blade went through it. Then there went the shirt. And then, a loud...

KaTing!

Kichiro was stepping in with a left hook, as his right forearm blocked the thing with a dagger bracer. Sure it'd sting like a b***h, but he figured that left hook coming in at Stryphe's nose would hurt even more.

Who throws a punch when they've got a halberd coming in at them?

Things would be a bit hot too, considering Kichiro was covered in yellow flames at the moment. Better hope that shaft wasn't made of wood.

93Liquid Lights

It wasn't. And Stryphe was but simple flesh, so the heat would effect him a lot more than it would the halberd. Hopefully, things wouldn't get too hot. He would make his strikes quick enough so that his exposure to the yellow flame would be quick each time, like waving your finger over a lighter.

Stryphe didn't plan very far ahead in battle- he mostly excelled at setting up reactions and, well, reacting to them. His defense was a good, unrelenting offense, and for that to work he needed focus- and he had plenty of that.

He'd do something unexpected as the left hook was coming in- he'd let go of his halberd. His right hand would shoot up, as if springloaded, and protect from the left hook. At the exact same time, he would do nothing more than pivot his shoulders and send his left fist into Kichiro's solar plexus, aiming to knock every bit of wind from the fighters lungs he could. He didn't aim for the stomach, the skin, or the surface. His aim was for Kichiro's spine- through the man's body. Naturally, there'd be no way this could happen, but it was because of this mentallity that the punch would be packing a staggering amount of force behind it.

94-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

As time went on, Kichiro's flames would get hotter. He didn't mind if Stryphe wanted to go in to hand to hand, he had a little more extra power to his punches. Not in the form of strength, but that each punch was going to start carrying a fireball with it.

Kichiro's left fist would continue back up to gaurd, while he pivoted his shoulders right into Stryphe's pivot. He was throwing his right hand out in a straight cross towads Stryphe's chin. He didn't even pretend to stop that left fist aiming for his solar plexus. That punch would be landing in a combo right after the blocked hook, leaving Stryphe with nothing to defend against it and rotating into it.

Why would he just rotate into a punch that should knock the wind out of him?

Equipment. Wrote:

Shaolin darts scale the chestplate with 12 on each side. 4 rows of three going down. A total of 24 here.

As any good fighter, Kichiro could take quite a few punches without losing air. Especially those that rang straight into hidden armor. The things were dragonscalled underneath his black shirt, with only tiny handles sticking out so they could be gripped and pulled out by Kichiro's fingertips.

There'd be somthing like an umph as his right hand connected, and left followed up with an uppercut towards Stryphe's gut. That'd entail a quick counter rotation of his hips, rubber banding energy from right to left. The left wouldn't fire out unless the cross connected though, relying on the amount of stun on Stryphe's part to finish the combo.

All the while, fireballs would be heating things up even more through his fists!

95Liquid Lights

Armor!? Well.

His left side was pivoted towards his foe, his left arm extended, blocked by armor. Defense would be rather difficult at this point, and he registered the cross right away- knowing wether or not it was coming wasn't an issue, it was what he'd be able to do about it.

So he used his head. The top of the forehead is one very effective place to block attacks that most forget- simply because it's so close to your face.

Stryphe flat out headbutted Kichi's fist, quick so that his forehead and hair would remain virtually unburnt.

He would step in, closer to those damned flames, and his already extended left fist would turn upwards and open, rocketing up the short distance for a palm strike against Kichi's jaw.

This would be the last attack Stryphe planned to make before he had to get away from Kichi and his flames- the hot air around the man was hard to breath for very long, and Stryphe was beginning to feel too hot to bare, dancing around the man-candle.

96-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

An already extended fist wouldn't have much in the way of power, no room to rotate or build up any strength. Kichiro would take the love tap with a laugh. So, Kichiro's left hand would indeed fire out at after the cross, and the closer range allowed him to do as he wanted. The left hand would come around after the initial launched uppercut around Stryphe's right to grip onto the back of his shoulder.

Kichiro's right hand, taking the headbutt to it like a soldier with a bit of pain, would continue up against the forehead to his hair. Yeah, he went there. He gripped it hard and yanked down. Stryphe wasn't backing up out of those flames. Instead the flames over Kichiro's right hand would pour over his head, while he yanked the man down.

Straight into a raising right knee. Both of Kichiro's arms would pull the man down, and since he was launching fists and stepping in, Stryphe wouldn't have a whole lot of balance or room to dodge.

Fiery right knee straight up at Stryphe's incoming chin/nose area.

97Liquid Lights

Stryphe's whole offense had been trumped- his foe was willing to take hits. It was a breif mental note Stryphe made before Kichi took control, taking Stryphe by the shoulder and the hair- Stryphe knew what was coming at this point.

The knee connected- painfully. Stryphe's nose would begin to bleed and his jaw would ache, but the first thing Kichiro would notice was that his leg wasn't coming back to him- his knee remaine place. Held. Kichiro would hear laughter- a deep, cold laugh that chilled the bone, even through the spiritual flames. Stryphe's voice was that of one posessed- however unlike a case of possesion, this was Stryphe's actual voice.

And then Kichiro would begin to feel the pain.

Green trails of energy snaked their way up into the air, coming from Stryphe's eyes and slithering around the back of his head, moving past Kichi's hand. His eyes and face and all other part of his body were protected now- protected against Kichi's spiritual flame. Was that the purpose of Stryphe's demonic omnipotence? Not at all, it was only the nature of their auras to conflict with eachother. While Stryphe's body was not covered in a fiery aura, the power emanating from within him now, in place of his skin, felt the heat of Kichi's physically manifested spiritual power.

Stryphe's left hand was now gripping Kichiro's calve- his right hand the bottom of Kichiro's thigh, close to the knee. And, while Kichi couldn't see it, Stryphe's hands were bathed in his dark green aura. The concentrated demonic energy would not burn, but contact would cause a deep, sharp, physical pain- part of this probably came from Stryphe's enhanced grip. He was abnormally strong before, but when manipulating his energy to a focused point on his body he could enhance himself. His energy acted as a stronger, unseen force that gripped his own and helped it to press harder. To grip harder and harder until fingers penetrated flesh. Kichiro's calve was being crushed, while the tendons in his lower thigh would soon be torn from his body. But Stryphe had no intention of this.

Kichi was given enough time to register the pain, maybe struggle a bit. Nothing could be done though- Kichi had two free hands but he wouldn't be given enough time to come up with an effective method to get Stryphe off of him. If Stryphe felt Kichiro's hands loosen their grip, he would give a mighty heave and throw Kichiro deeper into the gymnasium. When he threw the man he'd let go so as not to do much more damage than he'd already done- ten bleeding holes in Kichiro's leg, everything else intact.

However, if Kichiro didn't end up feeling like letting go, Stryphe would only tighten his deadly grip.

98-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

Kichiro's flames went past the spiritual, they were physical hot and burning flames that he controlled. However, feeling his calve get gripepd like that was not pleasant. Pain shot through his entire leg, and adrenaline flooded his human like body.

Human--like?

Kichiro was Chimagin, and all his abilities came from the manipura.

The Powers. Wrote:

Manipura (The solar plexus chakra) Description:

Manipura

manipūra, मणिपूर yellow mental functioning, power, control, freedom to be oneself, career fire

So, Kichiro's own controls fought against Stryphe's. He didn't allow the demonic energy in, and there'd be no tendons ripping. A Chimagin was tough enough to take on demons in Gaia, and it'd be down to strength of leg against strength of hands. It'd take some time to start doing any permenant damage.

But feeling his aura fight against Kichiro's own, made him a bit angry.

Kichiro's left knee came flying in a torque of his hips towards Stryphe's right temple. With Stryphe gripping so hard on his leg, and just having the center of a lot of nerves busted wide open, there'd be a lot of surprise and little time to react to that incoming second knee. Not to mention all the adrenaline from the burst of pain causing an increase in strength and speed.

Overcoat would twirl through the air behind him, and that left leg would slide against Stryphe's temple down to his shoulder, twisting akwardly to bring his left leg around Stryphe's neck.

Depending on whether Styrphe went flying down towards the ground from the second knee, or just took it and staid there, Kichiro would be wrapping both legs around Stryphe's neck in a strangle hold by snapping his right leg to the left if Stryphe went falling. Both hands still gripping on him hard.

If Stryphe just took the left knee, then Kichiro's left leg would come around Stryphe's neck to his captured right leg while his hands yanked backwards in the torque. Kichiro would wind up laying backwards with hands coming free. The right taking some hair with it and pulling Stryphe's neck into more strangling. His back would be arched, and both hands would go behind him to the ground. He'd then try to use torque to twist his hips and carry Stryphe's captured head into the ground.

99Minerva Oda

At this point, a gasp could be heard at the other end, were his wife stood in shock of the events. First, Peppa got bum humped, and now, a life and death fight between this demon of a man, and her demon of a lover.

Still clinging tightly to the side of the door, she shuddered at the energy being released. Minerva was almost purely human, least her bit of a machinery embedded in her body. This fight would be out of her league, and her pain thresh hold.

Minerva's entire body jumped at the ensueing attacks, her claws gripping into the walls. She had witnessed Peppa's fall. She'd witness that guitar thing's fall. She didn't want to be next, nor her husband.

"Kichi. . . !" She said more or less to herself, the wind would more than likely carry it off.

100Liquid Lights

Something was wrong here- but Stryphe didn't have time to think about it.

And it was true that his vision, from the knee to the nose, was blurred. He was resilient enough to maintain his senses, though. Kichiro's physical telegraphing was all Stryphe would need before he was on the move.

Now, Kichiro had a hold of Strype's hair and his shoulder, but that didn't totally stop Stryphe from moving- not at all. In fact, Kichiro would never have to let go- he could hold on for as long as he wanted, Stryphe's movement weren't constricted enough for what he was about to do.

The second knee wouldn't matter- it would have nothing to contend with but air. No block, no temple, just air. All it took was the physical telegraphing for Stryphe to know the knee was coming, and he'd already had a move planned anyways. The knee didn't matter.

He had better control of Kichi than Kichi had of him, especially now that Kichi had lifted his other leg off the ground.

Stryphe, his right arm still digging into Kichi's thigh, pushed to the side and upwards. At the same time, Stryphe stepped in the opposite direction he pushed- it only took a couple steps. Kichiro would now be falling backwards, the force from Stryphe's throw/push sending Kichi's legs into the air- Kichiro's upper body in the opposite direction.

The combination would end Stryphe up on Kichi's left side- with Kichi momentarily airborn and able to do nothing about it. Stryphe'd had a solid hold of Kichiro's first knee, keeping it in place, off the ground. The Kichi had foolishly attempted to strike with his other knee and do some fancy air maneuver. From the second Kichiro had lifted his other leg it didn't matter how much mastery Kichiro had obtained over his body- he wasn't ground, and Stryphe was.

Stryphe very well could have taken this opportunity to show his opponent a real man's knee strike, but that would have been a little to much death and destruction for the day. Instead, he'd crouch a little, enough to scoop up his halberd, then bound away, letting Kichi fall to the ground virtually unharmed.

Stryphe, however, a good five feet from Kichiro now, had a bleeding nose and what was soon to be a fat lip. He was minorly burned in many places on his face and upper body, as well.

"Only a few moves into the fight and you dissapoint."

He produced a smoke.

"You'd have died, y'know."

101-_- Kichiro Oda -_-

"If you think one hit could end me." Kichiro would state with a wink, left hand having carried him into a graceful backflip to his feet. His other hand had a fistful of hair. The Chimagin wasn't surprised that the second knee didn't hit, it was common for creatures to have precognative abilities on Gaia to save them from dire straights.

For typically, after having one's face filled with knee, they'd not be ready to have another leg coming to strangle him. It wasn't a matter of acting foolishly, it was just a matter of not predicting Stryphe's ability to predict... while having a hot and bloody face.

Kichiro rolled his shoulders, cracking his neck a bit and working out the pain in his leg as Stryphe picked up the damn halberd again.

Kichiro shook his head, "Damn cowards are all the same... relying on mass numbers, and weapons when another man is unarmed."

Now, Kichiro could've taken out his blades to deal with this bloody man. However, he was rather irritated that he had taken Peppa out of the tournament and would rather embaress him then beat him.

Kichiro came in again, though now all the flames went and built up about his chest. They seemed to be spiraling a bit in tiny circles against his shirt, as he approached with arms up in a gaurd. Shuffle step and southpaw stance, Kichiro would advance into the range of...

Lu Bu's chosen weapon.

102Minerva Oda

She looked rather relieved, as she turned her back from the would be fight. She didn't want to see anymore of it. And plus, Sieg needed attention at this point in time. There were other nurses to do that bidding, but she had taken it on herself.

She was good at fixing things, after all. Minerva was gone from there now, back into the infirmary, looking down at her patient. He didn't look to happy, even in his sleep.

He rubbed one eye, still standing by the doorway having come back from taking a piss, his question answer by the apparent action which was going on in the field.

Well, he really wasnt too interested in what the hell they were doing at the moment, standing around chatting it up. So, he began to go over where he left that bottle of crown.

Oh right, and there was something which caught his attention.

"I think one hit could end," he paused, taking a mouthful out of the bottle, "you."

Because as long as people didnt run away, a single strike from the giant meat cleaver could essentially end anyone.
