So, Maxi's tendrils consumed Kain's Flesh?
Maximos Wrote:
- Cursed Hand of the Twilight Soul - Maledicto Manus de Crepusculum Animus
Only useable in Human Form. Maximos's right arm is covered with a single very large array burned into his flesh. When asked he states it was an accident, and the row of bandage soaked in black underneat his sleave confirms the story. An accidental lunoc expirement, left Maximos's right hand scarred. The rune present bleeds black as it hungers. Deep beneath the flesh, the arm has transformed itself in an effort to save itself. Maximos' bones in his right arm are stained black and formed of shadow steel. The metal placed in flesh makes the limb very...displeasurable. With his bare hand Maximos is able to release, or absorb energy from souls around him. And either channel it into an attack meant to stun or ever sever the life force flow in ones body, or use it with supreme effort to permanently shut down, or remove a soul, and deliver it to the Reapers for processing. The arm has been know to ache uncontrollably at times, and it is believed constantly aches, though Maximos hides it quite well beneath the glove.
In order to initiate any effect another living being, Maximos first needs his hand bare. He has to strip off his glove, and the bandages around his arm, and actually physically touch the other person. [b]The touch has to last more than a few seconds at which point he can begin absorbtion. This is not absolute and immediate consumption of a person life force causing them to drop dead cold. It total it would take likely about 5 to 6 minutes of constant contact to knock a person unconcious. And then 10 total minutes to kill them.
Alternatively, he can use his hand, gloved or not to grasp neighboring free and wandering souls. Soul not attached to a body. As he doesnt have to drain them, he can absorb said souls for a bit of a boost, or to gain excess energy. Then, after releasing the bandage and glove over his hand, he can attempt to force bit of that excess energy into the opponent, by means of contact. Such as a punch, the goal being to cause a hiccup of sorts in the flow of the lifeforce through the opponent. A few taps is nowhere near enough to end a life. It would a very large, sustained impact to attempt to force an entire secondary soul into a persons body, the pressure is usually to much for a single body to handle, and most times it would die. But again, the sort of contact, and the length of contact necessary would in no way be allowed by any sort of competent fighter. Not to mention, the fighter would easily be able to feel the rush of energy, and would clearly know to move out of the way, or smack the offending hand away.
As Maximos' arm really couldnt eat flesh, only life force, and only when naked. It had absorbed no blood and no flesh. The arm was mentioned as being hungry, no one said it was allowed to feed. It had draped wrapped, and tried to forced its tendrils through the arm...but it really wasnt eating anything, rather breaking. If Kain tried to blow it up, he'd blowing up the Tendrils....the tendrils that Sierra had cut just a few seconds ago....making it pointless.

Regardless, Kain prepared his internal energies, like his Captain, Kain's body would begin to become very hot to the touch.

But a little cut on the face wouldn't do it. I assume you went the full-on forehead to forehead action.
So no, not a whole lot of blood unless he's some kind of uber hemophiliac.
EDIT: As a veteran of numerous head wounds, by 'not a whole lot' would mean like a trickle at most.
Quote: Blood Mine - Where Kain's blood is, there's chance of explosion. His blood is power and a conduit for his fiery energy. Through telepathic communication and energy transference, provided there is blood spilled from Kain's body, he can have the splatter, puddle, or pool blow up, like a bomb.
Being so extremely hot or even close to so extremely hot, Kain had ineffect cancelled out his own attack. Yes, there was a trickle of blood on Maximos' face, with Kain being an oven, that blood woud have dried. Its sort of like when you place water on a flaming skillet, (and blood is mostly water), you get steam and then nothing is left. Now blood is not water, blood leaves behind plattelets and blood cells, things that would easily be flaked off by constant head impact, especially with Kain's long hair. Maximos only had one hand, he couldnt grab ALL his hair, just a chunk. And at that time, Kain hadnt reached such a high temperature incindiary grenade temperature, and really wouldnt need to.
In effect, reality, science, and logic had canceled Kain's attack before Maximos even had to worry about it.

Lady Sierra Wrote:
:: Kain! Disengage Tempest in exactly one and a half seconds. ::
2 seconds after, [4 seconds total to cross the distance from the sidelines], And she was upon them. Gripping her her sword in her right hand, tip downward and held on angle towards her left side, She would push forward, unfurling her wings in a fury of flame. The right upper wing wrapped around her right side, shielding her shoulder, ribs and thigh and upper leg. She would slam into Maxi, broadsiding him. Opening her wing as she connected doing two things. Slamming into his left side with what would feel like a blazing sledge hammer, likely shattering any bones it impacted against... And opening up room for her to maneuver Elven Fire. The sword would strike out and upwards, severing the tentacles that clung to her teammate as that ebony stone clunked beside Kain's neck on the tiles, before there had been any hint of eerie purple lights.
Now, Given that Tzen had plopped them down right beside the sidelines, when Sierra knocked into Maxi, the force of the impact, increased by the demonic strength she was tapping... would easily carry the man up and over the taped off area, and out of the ring, her own body checking him as she used her momentum to keep them both moving forward and out of the ring. Ending her STRIKER in 7.5 seconds after being initiated.

But every bit of that, could be chocked up to Maximos's simplistic upbringing, what Maximos was not...was stupid.
Sierra was currently a big flaming ball, wielding a giant sword, swooping at him. Magic blasting in all directions. Now Maximos earlier had commented on Sierra's fight, as he had watched with his eyes closed. Clearly he had some sort of senses, OTHER than the use of two eyes. Ears. Touch. Smell.
Though all of the normal 5 senses would usually be able to pick up the sight of a large flaming winged woman swooping in.
This meant, that from the moment Sierra reached both Kain and Maximos, to the moment she flipped and exited the ring into Joshua's grip, was 3.5 seconds. Maximos was 6ft away from the edge of the ring, and Joshua was even farther. This means in those 3.5 seconds she had to cover over 10 ft.
Thats rather fast. And Maximos saw her coming from before she reached both fighters.
Maximos Wrote:
Still, it would take time to perform the motion and for the message to be sent and followed, and so he'd really only able to dodge, just before being shoulder checked. It wasnt because he had expert timing, or because he was so very fast, really because he wasnt. It was at the last second he was hoisted, because he couldnt manage it any sooner. His jacket's coat tails were even fried in the process. It was highly unlikely she could make a turn on a dime at this speed without snapping those wings clean off, or worse. This position gave him a much better vantage point as the Lady soared by...All he did was reach his hand down
And with that super speed, Maximos had just managed to lift out of the way. Barely. Sierra was not over them in 3.5 seconds, she was past them and 10ft away, meaning she was really only between the two fighters for a fraction of a second at best.
Maximos Wrote:
And Maximos' left hand dragged through those flames as she soared by. The runes activating, and immediately transforming his arm. In his shadow form (which he was not allowed to activate), the replication would have taken a few second as it polluted his body. But human bodies are not made of arcana, and so are a bit easier to effect with magic. As if Maximos had just run dry kinder in a flame engulfing it, his hand rushed through Sierra's flame immediately engulfing it in a lavender and black raging flame.
Sierra was blasting by nearly supersonic speeds, she covered a range of likely over 20ft, by air, in half a second. It was a wonder that she didnt immediately put her own fires out. But either way, by her own timing, she would be off of Kain's body way before his body could interact with the flame. And apparently she would tumble down in pain. Her presence completely blocking out the sight of Maximos readying.
In effect, Sierra rushed by, and the flames began to pour down when...
[Insert Lunoc Replication Seal Write Up]
...Meaning just as Sierra passed, Maximos would ignite an immediate burst from his right arm of the dark flame onto the Kain below. This would cancel out Sierra's flame before it had a chance to spread, probably just barely missing her heels as she passed by, and instead coating Kain below. Without real flame, his regeneration technique likely wouldnt work. And what is the opposite of healing? Injury. This womb of fire, became a bath of pain.
Meaning, in that fraction of second in which Sierra was over Kain and under Maximos, Maximos's hanging arm had ignited and fired. The Shadow Flame attack would be so close it would barely knip at Sierra's heels, meaning it too place within that fraction of a second. That being feasible as all Maximos did was hang his hand down, and then immediately fire. How long does it take you to think the word "Fire"?
Dragosani Kain Wrote:
--As the Elf/Demoness would pass over/by him, and at Maxi, he had two of the four wings, inflamed, to brush across his body, mending his flesh and bones. This would be a split second before Maxi would come in contact with her fire. The headache, twisted & mangled ligaments in his right arm, and his right wing would received healing from Sierra's flames. The bones in his wing still brittle and muscles in his arm sore, he didn't have long enough contact with the flames to be regenerated to its full potential, the left wing was still thinned out from the tentacles that had been sucking it near-dry. Kain's healing was very similar to those Drops of Sierra's blood that Tzenidaar had consumed, only it was Fire that did it for Kain.
Kain's roll finishing after two and a half rotations he pushed off of the floor with a wing to spin him to his feet, at the same time summoning his Naginata.
That would mean that in the time it takes you to blink Kain magically healed all his injuries, stood up, and summoned a Naginata as well as COMPLETELY ignored the shadow flame that would cancel out the regular flame, and then pour all over him. In the time it took you to read the word "In" at the beginning of this sentence ALL of that happened?
....I think somethings a little off, no?
By Sierra's timing, Kain has about the time it takes to involuntarily blink to prepare for a powerful attack he cannot see coming.))
