THE GREAT WALL OF GAMBINO

The Great Wall of Gambino has been fixed from its recent destruction when the tower of Gambino collapsed over it, and just in time for the Heaven or Hell tournament. Fighters are pitted against one another on the long snaking stone bricks, with the palins on one side, and the shore off on the other.

Fighting area - 15ft wide, 30ft tall wall

Terrain

General - The small width of the area causes fights to be somewhat linear

Weapons - None

Natural Element Resource - None

Bonus Effects - Getting knocked off of the wall will count as a ring out

There was a soft crack of steel, as something made it's presence, and weight, known.

Stepping forth with a regal gait, and mantle that covered a towering form, the Judge took his position to the side.

The HoH Judges are the supreme enforcers of tournament law for the duration of each match. Each Judge wields extraordinary legal power in his or her own stage over fighters. In addition to functioning as "legal administrators", they are also charged with the task of guarding the spectators who may be around the stage.

Every Judge has archives on every participant on file, and can simulate the powers of a variety of them in order to target its opponent's weaknesses. This was due to the data collected via fighters, in which DNA samples, skin samples, tissue, blood, etc-- were all analyzed and broken down once a FIGHTER came into contact with the actual wearer.

With the appearance of the Judge, the match was slated to begin.

3User 367130

From the distance, a man could be seen approaching the designated point. However, he didn't approach from the ground like a normal human being, but rather was walking along the wall itself.

"Heh... the judges this year look as tough as ever."

The man was completely decked out in Black and Silver attire. His black breastplate was etched with silver runes and embroidered with a magnificent Silver Dragon, complemented with his silver sword pendant. On his left arm was his FIGHTER, on his other was a silver armband with the Runes of the Ryugin. His long silver hair seemed to match his armor and attire nicely.

"Team Dragon Force... sounds interesting."

He was carting around his magnificent weapon, Dragoonair, with pride. The spear had intricate carvings of what looked like Scales down the sides of its shaft. At the edge of the spear was what looked to be the head of a silver dragon, which "breathed" the leap shape blade of the weapon. There were two glowing rubies for eyes, by the paled in comparison to the ones at the bottom of the spear. The weapon itself seemed to complement his outfit, or rather his outfit seemed built around his weapon.

This was Silver Moonblade, Captain of the Silver Dragons.

The air all around the wall held a somber atmosphere. The contruction that finished on schedule recrafted the wall to hold it's original, though dull, state. Nayko surmised that the tower falling and destroying the wall may have been a good change to the landscape; except of course for the ecological damage it caused. He traversed the distance in a record slow, feeling the burdon of his nervousness sinking into the soles of his shoes.

Silver stood atop the wall, brandishing his magestic weapon and sporting the decorative armor that complimented so nicely. Nayko stood staring at his alluring captain with a rekindled twinge of his fear. He rocked back and forth on the balls of his feet breathing deeply. The anticipation of the tournament brought out the worst of him before the team, and now that the day finally arrived, he couldn't find the courage to make his way into the ring. He stayed, frozen with his feet cemented to the ground and his wings pressed tightly against his back, hoping that his teammates would come and rescue him from thie nervous petrification.

Just then Nayko would feel a soft yet warm press on his angelic feathers, the touch very gentle and familiar. There were no footsteps to warn Nayko there was literally no sound the the soft touch of Reinhart's hand. Slowly, casually Reinhart walked passing Nayko by a step then stopped, his head turned to the clouds above.

"I didn't think we needed divine intervention on the first round."

The tone in which he spoke was friendly if anything and as he finished his sentence he turned to look over his shoulder. A comforting smile present on his face as he continued.

"Come on. You don't want to miss the show."

Reinhart's arm went out gesturing for Nayko to move forward past him and join his captain on what would be the stage.

Peace. It was all that ran through Shuyin's mind. Neither the sounds, smells, or the feel of stone beneath him penetrated his thoughts. He was in complete meditative peace, focusing his inner strength, sharpening his mind. But there would be one sound that would penetrate his sanctity of mine, one he waited for.

A series of beeping sounds came from his FIGHTER, strapped to his right wrist over the adamantine bracer that covered his arm. He had set an alarm to go off prior to the match start time; sometimes Shuyin gets a little too deep into his meditation, and doesn't come out of it for days. He brought a hand over to turn the alarm off, opening his eyes.

The monk rose to his clawed feet, slipping on the wooden clogs he normally wore on them. He wore his common attire - a worn fighter's gi with the sleeves torn off, slacks, and a black cloth belt. Shuyin turned around to face the opposition with the rest of his team, clenching his fists and popping his knuckles.

"So this is Team Ryugin."

Time to fight.

7Sutiiven

The wind from atop the wall blew through the young man's silver hair. Full of sweet adrenaline, the Swordsman stood near Shuyin and looked across at his opponents. He anxiously did little warm up stretches and muttered to himself things under his breath. This was the big one, the tournament of all tournaments. And he, a young, strapping, promising young fighter was going to have a chance to prove himself.

Finishing his warm ups, Sutiiven glanced over at his team, then back at his opponents. Each man, strong. Each man, able. However, only one team could win this match. The strongest. The smartest. The best.

The man said four words: his family motto.

"Aut Vincere, Aut Mori."

We Conquer, or Die

8Ryugi Kazamaru

The somber atmosphere around the wall was only added to by the large threatening storm clouds that Reinhart had examined. The ambiance was even further added to by the massive hunks of tower that still were strewn about the area. The wall might have been prepared, but the remains of the mighty tower still dotted the landscape. Among them was a massive chunk of steel girders and concrete that stood up high into the sky, nearly one hundred and fifty feet, as if it were a small testament to the mighty tower it had once belonged to.

Distant thunder rumbled across the open area that the wall crossed, signifying that the clouds may bring rain later on in this match up between teams. Then a flash of lightning, and a slight misty drizzle blew by the wall, if only for a moment, carried by the wind as the thick air from the clouds drifted down the valley. As the thunder rolled from the lightning strike, a figure would be seen standing atop the mighty chunk of debris, a white coat blowing softly in the cool wind. Silvery hair fluttered gently as well as red eyes stared down at the wall, making sense of the proceedings.

Steam rose slightly off of the figure as the moisture from the drizzle heated and moved off of him as he pulled in a small amount of flame energy to make use of if the need for a Striker Assist came up. This was Ryugi Kazamaru, the Vice-Captain of Team Ryugin. He stood silently, not moving as he took note of his teammates arriving. No one knew how long he had been standing there, but he watched his teammates and the arriving members of the opposing team like a hawk. he then spoke loudly, his voice carrying over the open area to reach the ears of his teammates.

Dragonforce... Hmmm...

ALL RIGHT TEAM!! LET'S SHOW THEM WHAT FORCE THE SILVER DRAGONS ARE CAPABLE OF!!

As if punctuating his remark, lightning flashed, and thunder rolled, marking the beginning of the first fight for his team this year.

9Jonath Nell

Strolling along the wall with his hands in his pockets, Staccato was taking his good old time getting to the place that the fight was supose to occur. The noble looking man wore his normal white dress clothing and his mantle over the top of it. On his face he wore his black glasses. To each of his arms was strapped a Steel wrist gaurd, one of them was under his fighter and the other on his other arm. On his legs he wore shin gaurds. Just under his mantle he wore a groget and a pair of spalders on his shoulders, and hidden under the mantle in the back was a large back gaurd that makes him look like his a bit hunchbacked.

Staccato would stop moving as he came up next to his other team members.

"Well looks like we should have some fun here. No matter if we win or lose."

10User 367130

Silver drew Dragoonair from its place on his back, pointing the blade directly at Shuyin. He payed little attention as his allies burst on the scene, giving his opponents a malicious grin with his full attention.

"Team Dragon Force, I assume."

The man merely rolled his eyes at Ryugi's naturally corny words, but he was right. There was no need to exchange pleasantries this time around; it was go time. Nothing would stand in their way this year. Not Glacier. Not a reaper. Nothing.

11Jonath Nell

Turing to look at Shuyin, Staccato would adjust his glasses.

"So, who do you think should fight first? I would happily take up the first match myself if you would like. I am eager to get started."

After stating his intent, Staccato would give Silver Moonblade a side long look and a small grin. He was ready for anything, weather he would win or not. He just wanted to get moving.

12Ryugi Kazamaru

Yo Silver! Why don't you go first this year! I went first all last year. Makes sense you get to have some fun, what with being the captain and all, right?

Ryugi spoke from his perch atop the hunk of debris. He wanted very much to get into the heat of things, however, fair was fair, and he would still have his chance to fight, just not yet. He'd waited a whole year, he could wait a few more hours.

13Jonath Nell

Staccato would begin to walk forward without waiting for his captain to tell him he could fight the first match. He had a good look at all of his opponents, and he did not really care what one he would fight. They all looked to be respectable men and that was all he cared about.

"Well, I guess I will just take the first match."

Staccato said as he looked back at his team.

14Darshendros the Eternal

"You assume correctly," Shuyin replied.

He looked his opponents over, picking out in his mind who he would square up against. His fists were his primary weapons, which would put him at a disadvantage if he went up against Silver and his spear, so Shuyin ruled him out. Sutiiven or Staccato would probably be a better match-up with him. Reinhart looked more right for Shuyin, but then he saw the angel's nervous expression. His mind was made up.

Shuyin looked to Staccato, then to Sutiiven, nodding to them both. "Fight with honor, my friends. This will be a glorious first round."

Raising his arms, he crossed his bracers in front of his face, then snapped them down and spread his feet, taking a fighting stance with his left side leading. His hands were open, arms bent, with the left out before him, palm facing forward, and his right right tucked closer to his side. His feet were spaced shoulder-width apart, left foot pointing forward and the right to the side like an L. His senses were focused, and any feelings of apprehension or nervousness was placed behind him. All that mattered was the fight, and his eyes were focused on Nayko.

15Cristopher Reinhart

Though Nayko seemed unmoved by Reinhart's words or manner he still gave the angel a soft pat on the shoulder. Moving forward to stand at his captain's side he looked to the man eager to get things over with. After a moment of seizing the man up Reinhart took another step forward past Silver.

"I'll go first."

With that said Reinhart stood before Staccato in a relaxed stance, his eyes expresionless, hands loose at his side. Reinhart would be Staccato's opponent.

16User 367130

"Right. Reinhart, you're up."

Shuyin seemed to have his sights on Nayko, which was quite understandable. Well, he wasn't one to disappoint; it made the fights more interesting. He merely wanted the captain out of formality, but in reality he didn't care. So long as he got to fight this time around.

Plus, Reinhart wasn't one to take orders from authority. He WOULD be going first.

"Give em hell."

17Jonath Nell

Pullig his hands out of his pockets, Staccato would look over at Reinhart. He would flash him a a cocky smile, though he did not feel that way entierly. Staccato would put his hands behind his back, brabing each of his wrist gaurds in the other hand.

"I would be happy to fight you."

18Darshendros the Eternal

"Give him hell, Stacc." Shuyin patted him on the shoulder and stepped back. He was eager to see how this fight started out.

19User 367130

Silver backed off, taking Nayko with him. They had an entire wall to fight on, and by god they'd have enough space to make use of it! Besides, he didn't want to take "collateral damage".

20Cristopher Reinhart

"Likewise."

Not like Reinhart was very polite but he had a tendency to mirror people around him, manners included. Now, as Staccato took what may be his fighting stance Reinhart didn't take any, instead he rushed in. They couldn't be more than 20 feet apart so closing the distance was no task.

Dashing forward almost propelled Reinhart would be within good striking range so he did as most fighters usually do. He threw the first and second punch a quick left jab followed by a right cross assuming Staccato didn't interupt his first action. The first round had now officially started.

((1))

21Jonath Nell

Staccato was not suprised by the sudden attack, seeing as his normal stance was also a relaxed one.

Stepping back just slightly, he would pull his right arm out from behind, in it he would be holding a small spiked shield. The first Jab and came Staccato would place the shield right in the path of the it. Staccato would also pull his left hand out from behind him though he would just let it hang at his side. The wrist gaurd that was on it was now missing.

22Darshendros the Eternal

Shuyin couldn't help but grin. Now someone else would get to feel his pain. As much as he hated that shield, he knew it would serve as a good guard against opponents that fought unarmed like himself. Good to know those practice sessions were paying off.

23Cristopher Reinhart

Of course, first attacks are ALWAYS dodged, defended, or countered which was no surprise at all. It was expected, but a shield? A bit too 15th century for Reinhart's taste really. Though he'd landed the jab on the shield he would seem unphased piked or not there were just things about him that never made sense. Since the jab was defended against there was no use for the cross so his manner of attacking changed slighty.

Instead of throwing the right cross he threw a low kick aimed for Staccato's knee quickly. The kick would snap back quickly and using the same foot he through a side kick at Stacc's stomach. Keeping in mnd that he had a shield of course though all it did was stand between him and Stacc. Means for annoyance if anything.

((2))

24Jonath Nell

Staccato could only do one thing about the knee attack, and that one thing that he did was to side step out of the way of it. Makeing sure that he was out of the way of the attack eniterly.

Staccato would then Charge into his opponent sheild first. If he managed to make the shield contact with Reinhart anywhere it would change shape to become a large spike. Which could be used to stab futher into whatever it hit.

25Cristopher Reinhart

That shield had to go whatever it was made out of, suddenly Stacc was reminding Reinhart of Capt. America. Reinhart was fast, freakishly fast at times so his missed kicks wouldn't cause any slow in his moment. Hell, Stacc offered no resistance this time around anyway, he'd dodged. As his foot came down to balance him once more his right hand cocked back on his side.

Quickly he'd be facing Stacc again and the oncoming shield, his fist lit up with flames and it grew slightly larger. Reinhart let lose the wild fist of fire and what may look like stone right into Stacc's shield. The resulting impact would cause a small explosion comparable to a grenade. Without the extremely loud boom of course but it was comparable in force. There was no way of telling how strong the shield was or how strong Stacc at this point. But Reinhart would be surprise if he wasn't knocked back slightly if not thrown off his feat.

The stone around his fist would protect him further from any spikes on the shileld till it bursted with the impact and the small explosion. Right after the first punch his left hand would flicker with the same falmes as small scales of stone crept around his hand.

((3))

26Jonath Nell

Staccato would be thrown back onto his butt. Staccato would roll bacward as he landed and would use his hand and his shield to help himself up onto his feet.

Up on his feet again, Staccato's legs a little less steady than they normally were. though He was able to stand still.Reaching across to with his left arm, Staccato would grab his right arm where the wrist gaurd was.

Lowering his stance Staccato would wait for the next attack.

27Cristopher Reinhart

Reinhart wouldn't let up, he'd follow Stacc ready to strike him again with his left hand this time. The punch was intially aimed at his chest as his right hand stayed back for defense. If Stacc was paying attention Reinhart's shadow was alot darker than his own. It was extending towards Stacc as Reinhart closed the gap and once Reinhart was within range his shadow would under Stacc.

Stacc would find himself standing on an inky, sludgy substance that would act to hunder his movement. If Stacc didn't move quickly the substance would rise upwards like jet black tendrils to wrap his legs and hold him in place. Then there was the punch that would explode just as the last one on impact. If Stacc would move then nothing would happen, that is if we would move fast enough to avoid Reinhart's shadow.

((4))

28Jonath Nell

Staccato would not have noticed the shadow getting darker, but he would notice it when it was under him and he would imeadiatly jump backward to get out of it. His high speed would allow him to, just bearly get out of i. Though now he was a whole lot closer to the edge of the wall then he liked. So he would run to the side to get closer to the middle.

As he ran Staccato would pull his hand away from his wrist and the wrist gaurd would follow. As he pulled it away it coudl become apparent that they wrist gard was becoming a thin metal whip of sorts. As soon as the whip was finished Staccato would swing it back, aiming to snag one of Reinhart's legs with in and wrap it around. If he were lucky he might even get both.

29Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi waited and watched quietly now, taking close mental notes about how this member of the opposing team was fighting.

Come on Reinhart! Hit em hard!

30User 367130

Silver grinned; this was getting interesting. Staccato may have been skillful with the shape-changing shield, but he was no match for Cris.

"Yeah! ******** 'em up!"

31Cristopher Reinhart

Jonath Nell Wrote:

Staccato would not have noticed the shadow getting darker, but he would notice it when it was under him and he would imeadiatly jump backward to get out of it.... And by doing this he would change the way Reinhart approached seeing he longer had a target in front of him. Stacc was fast but Reinhart was as well and as his shadow had went in first Reinhart got to see Stacc jump back and would quickly follow. Again just as before he'd dash forward almost propelled by the wind itself to catch Stacc just as he landed if not still slightly off the ground.

His fist now ablaze and covered with stone as before he'd c**k it back and aimed it straight at Stacc shield or no shield. It was unclear as to how far back he jumped but it couldn't have been far. Now with Reinhart increasing his speed to catch him there should be little Stacc could do as he landed or nearly landed but defend himself. It was always hard to maneuver when in mid air after all. Hopefully Reinhart would knock him back into the wall giving him the chance to knock Stacc over it.

As before his shadown remained black as ink pushing ahead of him and when Stacc would be hit. IF he would be hit the shadow would catch him while he still reamined on the ground holding him in place like it intended to do before. That should give Reinhart the chance to knock Stacc back with another explosive punch, up and over the wall.

((5))

32Jonath Nell

Staccato could not do much but land on his feet and put up his shield before the attack came. As the fist came in to hit the shield though, the shield would begin to change again as a group of four barbed spikes shot out from the side of it and aimed to hit Reinhart's shoulder. The area of the shield would be smaller because of this and it might even cause the shield to be knocked out of his hand as he fell back.

Eather way Staccato would be knocked back agains the wall. He could only hope that the barbs would stick, but even if they got in and then were pulled out by the force of the explosion they would still take out a good chunk of flesh in most cases.

33Cristopher Reinhart

Being the seasoned fighter he was Reinhart rarely left himself open but blocking whilst attacking was hard. Though his left hand was free to block he couldn't block all the barbed spikes. One would find it's mark at least as the others were either blocked by his right forearm caushing a loud CLANK or would graze him as he adjusted his stance.

Just as Stacc predicted the barbed spike was pulled out as he was sent back and Reinhart let out a grunt through clenched teeth. Unfortunately this wouldn't stop Reinhart, though his blood spilled to the stone floor he pushed forward. Good thing we was right handed. If anyone was paying attention the blood would spill momentarily then it would stop. The life of him had a life of it's own as anyone would see that it crept up his left arm.

His wounded shoulder was covered over by the blood itself as it let off a soft sheen through the hole in his clothes. Whatever else spilled got to spill out was now wrapped around hisarm giving off the same sheen. It would almost look like bandages wrapping over his sleeve. As mentioned earlier, Reinhart didn't stop and now had another weapon at his disposel thanks to Stacc wounding him.

The shadow was where Reinhart wanted it, right under Stacc making it's may up quickly like a predator snatching something mid flight or swim. Though his right hand was cocked back now his left arm shot out as he closed the small gap between them. Strands that covered his arm now shot out opening up as if to swallow Stacc. Stacc may've been distracted by the shadow but if he looked a the blood he'd see the center take shape.

It was a snarling demon shooting towards him before it too became the strands that threatened to swallow him whole. Though there wasn't enough to do so they would wrap around Stacc's arms and Reinhart would pull on them almost like a rope or ropes. Pulling Stacc up enough if he remained fallen he'd send one more explosive punch to the man's abdomen knocking him up slightly and knocking him back again. hopefully over the wall.

Seemed everything went according to plan except the spiked barb, Stacc got knocked back to where the sadow was and would have little chance of escaping it this time. It did creep up as he hit the wall after all and Reinhart hadn't let up or slowed his attack, he added to it.

There was nothing that Staccato could do. He was sweating all over and his arms were sore. He did not barely have enough strenght to stand and his energy was all but spent.

Even with all this though, Staccato still managed to give Reinhart one last cocky grin as he was sent back up and over the edge of the wall, ending his match.

The man would land on his back far down on the ground. He was luck though that he still had his Steel armor on his back though because it took most of the impact with the ground. He would lay on the ground there for a moment before slowly getting up and starting to walk toward a place where he could find a way to get back up on the wall.

35Cristopher Reinhart

There wasn't much Reinhart could do to stop Stacc from falling 20,30 feet or so but he did look over the walls edge to make sure the man was alright. Smiling as Stacc got up he left the wall's edge moving towards the center looking at the man's team. Reinhart stopped giving his own team his back and bowed his head respectfully to Team Dragonforce. Hell he was rude, quiet, an a** even but he was a good sport and Stacc deserved recognition.

Though he'd have to wait till Stacc found his way back up before he could shake his hand. Reinhart turned to face his team and made his way over to them standing where he stood before looking to the opponents again. Time for the second match, his match was over. Who was up next?

((Good fight Jonath. ^^))

36Tei Kae

She made it. Kitty was panting as she ran up to her place in the spectator's stand to do her job of ushering, attempting to put her vest on as she did so. Her boss was going to be so mad. But at least she was here for the fight of ...She glanced down at the pamplet in her hand, Team Dragonforce and ....OMG...the red haired girl started to hyperventaliate. TEAM RYUGIN!!!! Sweet!

"GO TEAM RYUGIN!!!" She pumped her fist in the air, yelling out loudly only to hear the echo of crickets, since the winner of the fight had already been announced from the ring out.

37Cristopher Reinhart

"Hmm?"

Reinhart turned his head to whomever that was who'd just almost popped his ear drum. By the looks of it she was an HoH employee, probably hear to bring them drinks? He wished, he could use a little something right now after the fight with Stacc.

38Fengrading

The judge trotted out, covered in armor.

He stood in the middle of the arena and raised a hand to the sky. In it was a white card.

"Team Dragonforce receives a white card due to ringout. Round one has ended; round two will start now."

Then he shambled offstage to allow the next pair to step up. Or if Reinhart wished to continue against a new competitor.

39Jonath Nell

After a short walk Staccato managed to find a starway inside one of the checkpoints along the wall and climb his way back up to the top. As soon as he was there he began to walk back to where he was fighting with Reinhart.

When he did make it back over to where everyone was he walked right up to Reinhart and nodded his head in greeting then he held out his hand. He sure had fun witht the fight and he hoped that Reinhart did also.

"Sorry about the shoulder, though I hope you had as much fun as I did."

40Tei Kae

"Well..." Kitty felt a swat at her a** and turned around to glare at the offender, only to see her boss. She stuck her tongue out at him while he pointed down to the two teams.

" Go offer the teams some drinks or something." She stuck her tongue out at him again and grabbed the basic brochere which listed all they had to offer. It was Kitty's job to get them drinks or snacks and be a general gofer. And she'd gotten this location. Though that would change next round. She wondered where she'd go next...She squealed, though not nearly as loudly as she ran down the steps and looked at the two sets of fighters, wondering who she should ask first for their drink orders.

"I....ummm..." Her face was bright red. Her sensei had gotten her this job but she was too flustered to remember any of the training. "Who wants drinks..." She whispered, afraid of making another commotion like before.

41Cristopher Reinhart

Reinhart smiled and took Stacc's hand in his shaking it gently all the while holding a friendlygaze. His shoulder was no longer bleeding, he just needed some time to mend it, or rather, let it mend. Though he healed naturally, he didn't heal too fast like some other creatures on Gaia. After a good shake Reinhart threw his hand back and scratched the back of his head laughing nervously.

"It's no problem, it'll heal. I was more worried about your fall but you look alright."

His hand came back down.

"Thanks for the fight, it was my pleasure Staccato."

And just as he did his team earlier he bowed his head respectfully to Stacc.

42Jonath Nell

Staccato would Smile then Bow also. He had a lot of respect for Reinhart and he hoped that they would meet again after the tournament. Maybe they could have a friendly spar some time.

"Thank you also, It was a real great time."

Staccato would then rub his lower back just under the armor and chuckle a little.

"I think I will need to go to a spa after this tournament. My back is really sore now. We are a whole lot higher up that I originally relised."

43Cristopher Reinhart

Reinhart laughed at Stacc's remark slightly then turned to the little whisper from the red head who'd squealed earlier. Did she say drinks? She did, no way Reinhart could get it wrong. Signaling for the girl to come over he looked at Stacc.

"Drink?"

44User 367130

Silver grinned as his Stuccato barreled over the edge of the wall. As soon as the two were finished with the pleasantries, he stepped up to the battle zone.

"You did well, man. Take a well deserved rest."

It was quite obvious by his stance that he was quite ready for the next match, and that he intended to be the combatant. It shown in his eyes that he was hungry for the thrill of combat, and he wouldn't be contained any longer. He would be the next to fight, and nothing would stand in his way.

45Jonath Nell

Staccato smiled, this was the part that he loved about fighting honerable fighters. It was always a party afterward, even if you had another fight coming up soon.

"Sure."

Staccato said as he went over and looked over the edge near where he had fallen off.

46Tei Kae

She skittered over then stopped before the two fighters, looking at each one in turn. She was short, about 5 foot tall, and curvy but her face was sprinkled with just the lightest dusting of freckles that blended in with the blush now covering her cheeks.

"Drinks?" Offering each of them a brochure on what they had to offer. No alcoholic drinks during the match, but pretty much anything else was game. But her eyes then became glued to Reinhart."omg omg omg...breathe..." She was only a few inches away....she wasn't going to squeal like a fangirl. She wasn't.

47Cristopher Reinhart

Taking the brochure Reinhart looked it over quickly passing the things he knew he didn't want and looking for those he did. He needed something sweet, he'd lost a bit of blood and even though his was a bit "off" he still needed it to live.

"Something sweet, something sweet."

He said to himself looking through the brocure trying to decide on what to drink cupping his chin with one hand. After a moment or two he saw it, caramel.

"I'll take that one."

Reinhart smiled turning the brochure so the little red head could see what he was pointing at. An Iced Caramel Macchiato, coffee, sugar, what else did he need? Now he just waited for Stacc to give his order before he gave the little curvatious cutey enough money for 10 of the same drinks.

"Keep the change darling."

The tone was cuasual, as if they were all at a coffee shop and not at HoH though Reinhart did throw in a little wink as he handed her the money.

48Jonath Nell

After taking a look through the Brochure, Staccato finally decide on one of the many generic flavored waters. He wanted one that had something good in it and ended up picking the lime flavored one.

"I will take one of these please."

Staccato said as he showed it too her on the Brouchure. Then he turned to Reinhart.

"So what do you think is happening in the other matches?"

49Tei Kae

"Yes sir." Kitty gave him an absolutely brillant smile that just lit up her entire face. He liked Caramel Macchiato, same as she did. Do not squeal. I will never forgive myself if I squeal. Okay, she knew she was being a bit fangirlish, but this was Ryugin, the team that if it hadn't been for Glacier...mhm....Sunstrike...She shook her head violently. And this was Reinhart.

She could have swore her heart was having palpatations, even though she was too young for it. She had full sized posters of all of the men of Ryugin from last year. Silver was over her desk, Ryugi was on her door and Reinhart...Kitty dared a glanced back at him,... Reinhart's poster hung over her bed. She reached for the pen in her backpocket, tempted to ask him for an autograph, but that would just be rude.

She turned to the other gentleman, and once she got his order, she nodded and ran off towards the drink vista, an extremly happy bounce in her step.

50Cristopher Reinhart

"Hmm.."

Reinhart folded his arms as he looked to Stacc whom also ordered something to drink. Guess no one else wanted anything, they may get a cramp or something. That'd be funny.

"The other matches? Well I'm sure they got a monitor around here somewhere for us to watch if we so felt like it but why bother? I like being in the action if not part of it."

Placing his hand on Stacc's shoulder he smiled.

"You're not done yet, you're still a potential Striker for your teammates."

Then he watched the little red head bounce away.

"Perky little thing."

51Jonath Nell

Staccato continued to smile. As he waited for his drink. He did not really care about the other matches eather. He was just making small talk.

"Yeah, I still have some tricks up my sleeve as a Striker, though I am sure that you have a few of them also."

Staccato looked off at everyone else that was on the wall here. He was expecting the fighting to continue soon. Though there was still some down time yet. Then looked at the red headed girl

"Yeah, she is sin't she. I think she might be a little bit starstruck if you know what I mean."

52Cristopher Reinhart

"I don't plan on doing a Striker for anyone, I already got my piece of the action anyway, but I do have a couple of tricks left."

Couple? Right, more like a couple dozen. Reinhart had gotten lucky his strategy to knock Stacc off the wall worked out well, even luckier that his teammates didn't Striker for him. It was a good match through and through from his point of view and there was never any real reason not to be friends after. Or at least a good sport.

"Starstruck? By me?"

Reinhart pointed at himself with a look of disbelief, fake as it was he was only playing around.

"Nah. She's all over you Staccato. I'm the one bleeding."

Or the one who was bleeding as the strands were now gone and the hole he had in his shoulder was now taking the color and form of his skin.

53Tei Kae

It took her a few minutes, but once the line found out she was getting drinks for the team with the first victory of the night, they gladly moved out of the way and let her get the drinks. She gave the guys a great big beaming smile and paid them off quickly,a dn then began the fight back through the crowds.

"Your drink M...mister Reinhart, sir..." She turned to Staccato "And yours..." She didn't know his name though, she hadn't had a chance to really look through her program. She held up a tray so either or both could get their drinks and she could attempt to hide her beet red face. She'd overheard Reinhart's last comment and was mortified. Then there was the mention of bleeding and she looked at Reinhart's shoulder.

"Omg ....Sir...want me to take you to the healers. I'm sure their around here somewhere." She automatically reached for the walkie talkie that should have been on her hip, but she hadn't gotten to her spot quick enough for the meeting where they'd been handed out.

54Jonath Nell

"Well, I am will striker as long as my teammates will need it. If they don't though then I will just sit here and wait."

Staccato in truth did not have many tricks, but the ones he did have was rather versitle. So they usually came in handy during any fight he was a part of. Staccato was happy with his part in the match, and he was always making friends with those he faught against. He liked to get to know them.

"Naw, I fell off the side of this place, that is not cool at all. I bet I looked like a turtle when I landed on my back."

Staccato was having fun now. Just joking around about it. He was not interested in a girls at all. He was already arranged to marry someone as soon as he took over his families estate.

As the girl handed him the drink He would look at her with only the most mild of interest. Thinking about how he had never met the person who would become his wife.

"My name is Staccato, and thank you for the Drink."

55Cristopher Reinhart

Taking his drink from the tray he took a good long sip before he heard the little red head mention healers. Reinhart laughed musically and grab the girls hand putting it to his shoulder. It'd feel a bit off but she'd have no blood on her hands.

"I'm fine sweety no need for healers."

As if he were talking to a little girl he kept a warm smile on his face listening to Stacc now. Though he didn't realise he'd held the girls hand in his still. Force of habit. Reinhart almost spit his coffee out when Stacc mentioned looking like a turtle. At least he could laugh at himself well enough, which was always a good thing.

"I didn't want to say anything....but....."

He too way just joking around now smilign at Stacc playfully and thought the thought didn't originally pop in his head he was just agreeing with Stacc. All in good fun of course.

56Tei Kae

Kitty about choked; she could feel her face going bright red as she stood there slightly slack jawed. "I ...uh...mmm..."She wasn't going to...who was she kidding, of course she was. She whimpered.

"M...mister Reinhart, sir...I need my hand..." If she kept up this amount of blushing, she was going to faint. "That is..." She glanced around to make sure her boss wasn't watching. "C...could I have your autograph?"

57Jonath Nell

Staccato began to laugh out loud at that last comment. He was really having fun with this guy. It was worth it to Staccato to join this tournament just to get to do things like this. Even if his team were to lose right here and not go on to another match, he would be happy just that he got to have this much fun.

Staccato would then look over at the red headed girl and back at Reinhart.

"Um, I think she might pass out. Her face is looking really red. Maybe if you let go of her hand she would feel better."

58Cristopher Reinhart

"Oh!"

Reinhart let go oh the girls hand turning red himself since he was emberassed.

"Sorry about that."

He was laughing nervously now as she asked for his autograph he smiled brightly.

"Of course you can."

Then he laughed again at Stacc's comment.

"I'd like to say I have that effect on women but I'd be lying Staccato."

He alguhed again.

"Anyone got a pen? I'm sure you want Staccato's autograph too."

Now he bumped Satcc lightly with his shoulder playfully, he deserved the recognition.

59Tei Kae

"Oh yes, of course..." He released her hand finally, and her brain started working again. She reached into her back pocket and brought out a pen and handed it to Reinhart. "Thank you so much Mister Reinhart." She turned the beautific smile on Staccato as well, not caring if it actually did anything, she just wanted them to know how thankful she was. "And you too, Mister Staccato"

"My name's Kitty. Kitty Faen. It's really a pleasure." Too bad her brain still wasn't going on full cylinders. She didn't have her autograph book. But she didn't realize that just yet.

60User 367130

Silver grinned and shot a glance back at Reinhart.

"You're such a flirt, you know that?"

It was all in the spirit of fun, obviously.

61Jonath Nell

Staccato smiled at the thought of someone wanting his autograph, but when she said that she would like it. He was ready to give it to her. Heck, maybe it would be worth something after the tournament, and if not that. Then for sure when he took over his families estate. Not that she knew anything about his family, them being so low profile and all.

Suddenly Staccato realised something. She had not given anything for them to write on.

"Um miss Faen, Do you happen to have something for us to autograph?"

Staccato, then turned to Reinhart and formed the words: thank you, with his lips. He was sure that Reinhart knew that he was refuring, about bringing up about signing an autograph also.

62Cristopher Reinhart

"A pleasure to meet you Kitty, my name's...."

The he realised she probably already knew it but said it anyway.

"...Well you know it but my name's Cristopher Reinhart."

After a second or two he looked around.

"You want us to sign a book, napkin, piece of paper?"

Reinhart looking around for anything he could sign, hell he'd sign a stone if he could. He heard Silver after then laughed again.

"I know right."

The capt. had to be the capt. after all and he was being playful now as everyone else was. Winking soon after at Stacc whom thanked him.

((Small edit at the end there.))

63Tei Kae

"Umm....errr...crud." Even her vocabulary wasn't colorful in the way of most fighters, but innocent and sweet. She nibbled on her lips for a moment then almost felt the lightbulb light above her head.

"You can sign my jeans!" They were a very faded shade of black grey, and the pen she'd handed them was a vibrant shade of purple. It would show up and it would be a permenant memento that she could even wear to school.

64Cristopher Reinhart

Laughing out loud Reinhart looked at Stacc wondering what his reaction would be. Shortly after he knelt down and looked to the girls thigh.

"I'll take this spot."

And so he signed his name which was actually good enough to read if not a bit too pretty for Reinhart. Hell, he had nice handwriting sue him. After he was done he handed the pen to Stacc and waited wondering what spot he would choose.

((Gotta go guys, be back later.))

65Jonath Nell

Staccato was a little suprised that she would want them to sign her pants, but he took it in stride so there was only a moment where his expressions showed it.

After being handed the pen, Staccato would around for a good place to sign his nam. After a short time he would decide to just sign his name just a little ways under Reinharts. Staccato's signature was thin and elegant, just like he was taught to write it.

After he finished writing he would hand the pen back to the girl and smile smile like he had for Reinhart during the fight, it was sort of a half smile half grin.

"Well, that is one way to make your mark on someone, aye?"

Staccaot said as he turned addressing Reinhart.

66Rykono Tadaya

As if coming out of a daze, Nayko found himself besides his trusted teammates overviewing the fight of Cris and Staccato. In a rush, the last few minutes came to his recollection, and he felt a subtle glow in his heart as he watched the tender Reinhart lash out violently against his opponent. It seemed rather bizzare that someone who, only a few minutes early had helped ease his tension, now roared in a ballistic fury trying to render the man off the wall.

When Staccato flew, Nayko's wings flinched. Should he dive after him, he thought. But it was too late, by the time he would have lept into the air the man already hit the ground. Nayko exhaled his worries of his own fight and took in the breath of dismay due to his failure to act. Being a Virtue meant saving and protecting the people of the word and world. "Leading me not into ill favor, for thy comfort is needed upon me." He murmered.

When the match was over, Nayko found himself unable to confront Reinhart personally. He didn't know the man well, but Cris gave him a sincerity not found in many strangers. Though they were on a team, his behavior fitted that of a saint; until he knocked a man off a wall and into his doom.

"Reinhart," Nayko yelled out from his own peevish nature, "that was an incredible first match." Nayko felt belittled by his own judgmental nature. If he assumed that he were a prime fighter, that would make his teammates true geniuses on the field. "Silver," he asked in a rather meek tone, "who is fighting next?"

67User 367130

"It all depends on them, but I wouldn't mind taking the next round."

Which was the understatement of the year. He was literally itching for this next fight.

68Darshendros the Eternal

Shuyin gritted his teeth as he watched Staccato fall over the edge. That's okay, we still have a chance, he thought to himself. He still wished he could have done something. Once Staccato found his way back up to the wall, Shuyin would congratulate him on a noble effort. Indeed, he had fought well.

Shuyin chuckled at the autograph signing, then looked over at Sutiiven. "Shall we flip for it, or do you want to hang back as a last resort?"

69Rykono Tadaya

"Now Captain, don't be so modest." Nayko said with a sly grin. "We both know that you're aching for this fight. I, too, would like to have a go. But your needs precede mine, Captain." Nayko trotted over to the girl issuing the drinks. "Madam, might I alleviate you of a water?" He asked giving her a modest grin.

70User 367130

Silver shook his head, pushing his alternate forward with his left hand. Grinning, he wanted to see how his alternate would fare against Dragon Force's captain. That and Shuyin seemed keen to duke it out with their winged warrior.

"Nah... I think it's time to bring in our Guardian Angel."

Silver grinned. It wouldn't be an easy match for either Nayko or his opponent.

71Darshendros the Eternal

Shuyin glanced over to their opponents, seeing the angel attending to the girl. Was he here to fight or play cupid? Screw the coin toss, Shuyin decided he was going to fight this round afterall. He tightened his belt and stepped forward, raising his arm and pointing his finger at Nayko.

"I want you."

72Rykono Tadaya

The sweet taste of water seemed only moments from touching his lips. The rapture of enclosing his tongue in the chilled liquid only placated his off beaten mood. He needed water, clinged to it like a dieing man, and yet his hand fell softly to his side. A press against his back ushered him toward the ring, and he found himself at an even greater discomfort. "What?" He said taking a precautious step back, but the hand never left. He found himself compelled to venture to the ring and face Team Dragonforce's Captain. "Lead me not into Oblivion." He whispered, taking his first unconfident step forward.

73Darshendros the Eternal

"Heh." Shuyin lowered his hand, curling his clawed fingers. Wood grinded against stone as he spread his feet shoulder-width apart, sliding the clogs against the ground. Shuyin took his fighting stance again, the same as before, his golden eyes staring a bead through his nervous opponent.

Let's rock!

74Rykono Tadaya

"Well," Nayko swallowed, spreading his legs to an awkwardly stretched distance. He extended his wings slowly flaring them out to their full span. He wiggled his fingers until he felt himself ready and then drew his stance low. His right leg led the stance, and his arms went up to his shoulders level and began sway in a rythmic motion that mimicked the waves of the ocean. He licked his lips once. The first match of the tournament and already he was fighting. This didn't bode well for his health, he figured.

A tingle hit Nayko's spine and he felt a cool rush throughout his body. An eerie sensation gripped his body and his hair stood on end. The feeling was familiar, something treasued close by. From first look, this seemed to be a fist fight, but Nayko thought his skill to be, at best, were satisfactory in comparison to these other fighters. Althought, Nayko surmised, he very well may be able to show this veterans a thing or two.

[1]

75Darshendros the Eternal

Shuyin, eyes focused on his opponent's every move, dashed in with a monk's swift speed, quickly covering what distance was set between himself and Nayko. As he came in close, he would throw the first punch, much similar in the way Reinhard did against Staccato in their match, making two lightning-quick jabs with his leading left hand, with his feet set and ready to move with Nayko's actions.

76Rykono Tadaya

There was an intricate rythm to the monk's movements. Each time his foot hit the ground, those wooden shoes of his made a thunk that echoed throughout the vicinity of the great wall. The monk's wear betrayed his movements. Not only could Nayko see the approaching monk, but he could hear him. His eyes didn't need to watch the monk's feet, so his attention went quickly to his arms. The count came in an easily predicted order, given the sound of the monk's shoes.

His attack was quick, or so Nayko figured, but it never truly went into fruition. Nayko arched low to the ground while the beating continued and the monk came closer. Nayko had waited long enough. He sprang forward when the sound and gone, and the monk's feet were in the air. For that fraction of a second, when both the monk's legs would be in mid stride, Nayko made his move. His body surged forward and his wings drew in close. His low spread position gave him a decent spring and he ventured for a direct attack. His body sailed like a javeline through the small distance between the two. Nayko dove out with his arms in front of his face, and his wings tight against his back. The monk wasn't a fool, but he certainly couldn't anticipate such a hazardous attempt to attack, nor could he truly defend himself when he was committed to running first.

[2]

77Darshendros the Eternal

A bold move, as well as reckless, but one Shuyin wasn't expecting. As Nayko would eventually crash into Shuyin's body, since he was already in motion and there wasn't enough time nor space between them to dodge, Shuyin would take the blow in full, and go along with it. Momentum reversed, he shifted his weight so that, as he fell back, he would fall into a roll. At the same time, he would grab at Nayko's shoulders with both of his hands and pull his knees up, so as he fell back and rolled, he could use the momentum to throw Nayko off of him immediately, and then flip right back onto his feet.

78Rykono Tadaya

The two warriors collided with extreme force and each went their own ways. Nayko found himself somewhere peaceful, somewhere he spent most of his days. Though he went their in a distasteful manner, he still found himself in the comforting air. His wings flared out and caught him as he glided across the walls with a steady descent. Landing awkwardly, Nayko rushed to his feet and turned to see his opponent. Taking no time to hinder his own defense, he returned to that low arching stance and awaited next move. His senses kept a steady tugging on that strange tingling he felt around him. His body quivered again, most likely due to anticipation.

[3]

79Darshendros the Eternal

Facing Nayko again, Shuyin tightened his belt, then resumed his fighting stance. He came forward with more caution now, shuffling forward, trying to draw Nayko out with an attack. In the meantime, he watched his every move, and focused his inner energy, gathering it into his fists.

(3)

80Rykono Tadaya

Nayko lured this man into a state of caution; which, given his seasoned fighting experience, seemed only natural. However, this little game of tag wasn't going to be Nayko's trump card. He knew how to fight, and he knew that he better start playing serisouly or else this man might best him in this contest. Nayko's nervousness began to leave him. He found himself smiling at his encroaching opponent, and he too began to shuffle forward. When the monk and Nayko came close, Nayko decided to throw the first punch. His body lurched forward, his feet spaced and his left arm at the ready to block.

Nayko held a great advantage over this man in terms of hand-to-hand combat. This monk had two arms and two legs, while Nayko had two arms, two legs, and a pair of large muscular wings. Nayko's body arched down, straightening with the punch. His wings elbow, following the path of the punch snapped around for a side ways strike. After the right, Nayko threw the left, his body keeping low and his left wing coming in from the side as well. The onslaught would be awkward for someone who never faced a man with wings. They did much more then simply allow flight. They were extensions of his body, and Nayko knew them well.

[4]

81Darshendros the Eternal

Nayko may have an extra pair of limbs to fight with, but how well could he take a punch from a half-dragon monk who can punch through a stone block? The advantage seemed even considering that aspect. Shuyin moved his left hand to parry the punch, taking the strike to the side by his wing so as to not give up any ground, and then simply moving his left hand over to parry the second punch almost immediately. With lightning quickness, Shuyin stepped in to follow the second parry with an immediate riposte, sending his right fist - which now held a pale white glow - to collide with Nayko's chest with enough force to punch through a stone block, and then some.

Quote: Ki Strike (Su): A monk’s unarmed attacks are empowered with ki. His unarmed attacks are treated as magic weapons for the purpose of dealing damage to creatures with damage reduction. Ki strike improves with the character’s monk level.

82Rykono Tadaya

The monk made an error, one that wouldn't cost him the match, but one that certainly would create a few bruises. Nayko's wings collided with their targets soundly, streching farther than the Monk assumed. Nayko found this man to be very skilled, though he under estimated the angel. The punch that held a mass of ki hit Nayko unsuspectidly in the stomach and sent him sailing back. That punch could have knocked a whole throw a human. But thankfully, Nayko wasn't a human. He was a supernatural being gifted with extroardinary physical talents.

Nayko landed haphazardly and stumbled before his wings flared out, propelling himself into a steady incline. His breating came in short gasps, and he found a new nauseas feeling that overwhelmed his nervousness.

After all the wait it arrived. Nayko stayed airborne, hovering over the wall for a moment. His wings slowed in beat, and he descended cautiously. The monk seemed intent on besting Nayko, for whatever personal reason. This monk must be skilled in both the physical and metaphysical realm. Nayko found the concept strange, for the only monks he knew worshipped the Celestials and would never dare raise a hand to them. Nayko's feet touched down on the stone wall, his breathing back to normal and his mind alert.

The flow of water is a constant thing. A silent trickle of water defied gravity and climbed up the wall behind the monk. Deception was a powerful tactic that Nayko used often. His snake like contruct of summoned ground water rekindled a lost fire in his eyes. A blue hue encompassed his already soft eyes, giving them a faint glow. Virtues, fifth choir of the Celestial Choir, were gifted with the control over the physical world with a spiritual connection.

The slithering trail of water lifted from the rock and hardened into several orbs of thick ice. Nayko knew the advantage to a sneak attack, and couldn't let it go. He rushed forward, his body low and his wings extended. He came up to the monk, his body leaping up and his wings beating. His body was too far from the monk to hit when he went airborne. His hovering ice balls leapt at the monk the moment Nayko did. The angel's wings compressed and he dove down in a flying kick. The orbs of ice sailed through the air to the back of the monk with incredible velocity. The monk, able to no doubt dodge the falling kick, would not expect the barrage of marble sized ice orbs coming at him.

As soon as the angel went sailing back from the strike, Shuyin was on him like white on rice. He leaped through the air with a flying kick, hoping to time it with Nayko getting back to his feet before he could get his senses back to him, and land a blow to knock him back on his a**.

84Cristopher Reinhart

In response to Stacc, Reinhart raised his glass in agreement.

"Aye!"

Then took a long sip of his Iced Caramel Macchiato, sweet. This was getting fun if anything and now Nayko was fighting the Capt. of the opposing team.

((Earlier Response to Nayko after the match was over.))

Reinhart simply tilted his head slightly and smiled at Nayko glad he'd joined them on stage. The manner in which he tilted his head would reveal the right side of his face and his right eye. Which to most was down right odd seeing it was blood red as opposed to the left eye which was ice blue.

It was a short moment but the look he gave Nayko would say it all, or so he hoped.

((Back to now.))

After a couple of sips of his drink Reinhart wondered if the opposing team would mind Stacc being over on Ryugin's side. Well, everyone looked rather honorable so there shouldn't be a need to worry about such things. Stacc was a cool guy and lost gracefully he like everyone else deserved a drink.

"Doing good."

Reinhart said using his straw to point at Nayko shooting his voice more towards Silver than anyone else. Hell, no way Ryugi would hear it, he was playing Mr. Flashy standing on that perch.

85Rykono Tadaya

The foot came quick and decisive. Nayko threw up his arms instinctively and barely covered himself from a nasty blow. His feet kept skipping and his wings kept beating. He leapt back farther, his arms still in front of him. He felt his body skip up one last beat and he hopped into the air going backwards. His deception kept up, and the monk was too focused on atatcking Nayko to notice the assailent of marble sized ice balls. Nayko kept to the defense while the process went about, and he knew that his patience would pay off. He kept his arms and his wings out waiting, bracing himself for any tricks the monk could throw. Try as he might, the monk still would fall prey to the flying orbs of winter's kiss.

"What?!"

Shuyin sensed it a second too late - something flying at him from behind. A striker? But he hadn't seen the others move to attack, impossi--

The first ice ball struck him in the back and Shuyin whirled around, getting struck in the side, and then a third time in his shoulder, before he would breathe out a cone of fire thirty-feet long, from his mouth, to take care of the rest. He was saving that up for Nayko, but better to use it to save his own hide. He hated the cold. Unfortunately, this action would put his back to Nayko, but hopefully he was far back enough to not be able to take advantage of the monk's distraction.

((Nice. 1-round recharge.))

87Rykono Tadaya

Steam encircled the monk as the barrage of orbs swarmed into his fire. The thick cloud hovered around him and condensation began to collect all over his body. The steam, maintaining the momentum of the ice spread out around him and lingered in the air. Steam, a warm gas that would usually rise and dissipate, enveloped the monk and refused to move. The condensation around the monk began to crawl about his skin like living organisms. A band about the monk's throat thickend and began to tighten. The steam, which had been collected around the monk, rushed to cover his head in a thick humid air. The band alone would make it hard to breathe, but the excess steam would only hinder him further. Nayko took the opportunity to gather more water, this time on his side. His feet took to flight as he rushed in.

Water gathered about his fists and crafted studdes of ice around his knuckles. The monk, blinded and choking, wouldn't be able to see approaching angel. Nayko kept low, being weary of the monk's moves. When he came close, Nayko unleashed a horde of punches with the ice studs onto the body of the monk. Arms, chest, even his head made for a target as Nayko danced around the monk delivering blow after blow.

[7]

88Darshendros the Eternal

Shuyin needed only a moment. Steam, a warm gas, would get blown away from Shuyin as he hopped up into the air with a spinning kick, and continued to revolve around, the wind kicked up serving to blow the steam away from him, as well as dry him off. This was the tatsumaki senpukyaku, or hurricane kick, as it was known in the West. He would hover in the air, spinning around with his leg sticking out like a propeller, for a few seconds before dropping back to the ground, gritting his teeth and rubbing his neck. If within that time Nayko happened to get in the way of his foot, sucks for him. If not, Shuyin would see him immediately, dancing back on hit feet and waving his arms to block or parry as many hits as he could, though one or two would eventually slip through, cutting his left cheek and hitting his right pectoral, getting dangerously close to the side of the wall.

The hovering man went into uncharted territory. The sky belonged to those with wings, not those trying to flee. Nayko hopped back, avoiding the spinning leg and quickly took to mustering up his control of the steam. The cooling gas shifted into its liquid form and collected into a mass underneath the hovering fighter. Nayko sent the the surging mass of thick water up into the monk using the vortex of his hurricane kick to accelerate the flow rate. The quick rush of water would send the monk sailing through the air, out over the wall; much like Staccato.

90Darshendros the Eternal

It takes quite a bit of pressure to move a 190-pound half-dragon, even if he was a foot or so in the air, though it'd probably take some time to build up that kind of pressure, especially from using droplets of water that was once steam - if that kind of pressure from that amount of source was even possible. It'd certainly take more time than the few seconds he actually remained in the air, spinning around. Gases didn't exactly hold the same kind of mass as liquid, afterall. As such, Shuyin wouldn't actually be going anywhere, unless there was some endless font of water underneath him; he'd just be wet.

Turning an annoyed glare to Nayko, Shuyin sucked in a breath and unleashed another thirty-foot cone of fire, spreading out to engulf the angel.

((Bleh, forgot to roll the recharge time. And I'm going to bed.))

92Rykono Tadaya

((I have no idea what that is, but ok.))

Nayko's tactics were never short handed. The water he controlled wasn't used like some meager squirt gun that's only purpose is to fling the liquid. It contorted to his every whim whether it be phase shifting, moving, or eradicating it. Therefore, when the monk assumed that his body now was getting wet, he placed himself into a very dangerous mind set. The water that had been removed, was now back onto the monk. His intake of breath told Nayko that he was in for an immense world of hurt. Taking a que from his trained instincts, he froze the non-dripping water which covered the monk.

Though the layer was thin, the surge of ice would no doubt throw him for a loop. In which case, Nayko, consumed with fear, concentrated the ice into a thick chilled bracer around the monk's jaw, locking it in place. Since the breath needed to spew a thirty foot plume of fire would no doubt take some air, his reaction time probably wouldn't be enough to release that bad boy burner. Nayko used, what would no doubt be a timely effort, to collect another set of water he had en route from his source. He found the situation somewhat intriguing, and rather bizzare; seeing as how there seemed to be a vast amount of water coming from nowhere. The liquid formed a thick wide headed club, which Nayko swung at the monk. His body free, the monk could defend himself. But his jaw was being compressed by a thick, slippery ice cast that tightened considerably with each of the monks movements.

[9]

93Darshendros the Eternal

((2 posts 'til Shuyin can use his breath weapon again.))

Ice, having a low tolerance for heat, would melt away from Shuyin's jaw as he willed that gout of flame from his gullet to come spewing out of his mouth, the heat travelling from his chest to his throat and then into his mouth - unless Nayko had a way of keeping water frozen even when confronted by heat. It would only delay the inevitable, and Nayko would still be confronted with Shuyin's breath of fire.

Now knowing how easily the angel could control water, Shuyin rolled under the swing of the water-club, cutting his breath attack short and getting himself away from the side of the wall, getting back toward the middle. A spear would be handy right now, he thought to himself. Waving his arms in a circular motion in front of his body, he cupped his hands and brought them to his right side, focusing his ki into a ball between his palms, charging up his next attack.

((In reponds to Darsh after my match with Reinhart))

Staccato, only made a simple nod in responds. He felt bad because he let his captain down, but he took the compliment as it was. Regardless of how of any feelings that he might of had that doing good was not good enough.

((During the match))

Sitting next to Reinhart, Staccato did not even have a second thought about what his team mates might think of him sitting with the other team. He was sure they did not mind it. Besides this particualar postion on the wall would give him a diffrent point of view for a striker, which may or may not allow for a better oppertunity

"So, you like how the fight is going so far?"

Staccato said, directing his comment toward Reinhart.

95Rykono Tadaya

The consistent bouts between fire and ice have waged on for centuries. Nayko's own experience with fighting men of fire were, if perhaps for the best, truly encompassed with his fighting Ryugi. Ryugi's match of power and flame made an intricate challenge for Nayko and taught him a valuable lesson. All men of fire like to change, whether it be the attack or the defense. This monk wasn't any different. He mustered the fire in his throat and did what he intended to, he changed. The water, once frozen around his throat, now turned into a permiable liquid that ceased moving.

Nayko held his club with steady hand. He found that it's size and weight wouldn't be enough to hinder the monk, even when he was distracted. So the club did what all the water he used thus far did, it also changed. The club became long and slender and formed a staff of ice as tall as Nayko himself. Nayko contorted the water still on the monk's person to contract over his neck once again. Nayko was a stubborn angel, and continually tried the same thing in a pursuit of a different result almost to the point of insanity. His nervousness, as fortune would have it, was completely gone now.

96Sutiiven

STRIKER

Type: Offensive

97Sutiiven

Sutiiven came in with his right foot heel aimed directly at the back of the Angel's head, attepmting to stun him with a kick long enough so Shuyin could launch the attack.

98Darshendros the Eternal

If Nayko was trying to choke Shuyin, he was doing it in the wrong manner. Liquid wasn't exactly a good strangling tool, since bodies were solid and liquids usually formed around solids. Now if he had made that water go into Shuyin's mouth or nose and into his throat and lungs, maybe then it would have had the desired effect. As such, Shuyin was only annoyed by the ring of water contorting around his neck. He thrust his hands forward and shot a fireball of ki energy, timing it's release after Sutiiven's kick, and hoping it would push Nayko right into the fireball's trajectory, aimed to impact against his chest, with little opportunity to evade.

(10)

99Rykono Tadaya

Nayko's staff leveled to parallel position, and he braced himself for whatever the monk decided to throw his way. When the kick came, it arrived as it was intended to. Nayko felt an immense force drive a swift kick into the back of his head. He stumbled forward and used his staff as a crutch. The ball of fire released in the same instant, and hurled toward the off balance angel. Nayko paniced. He threw his right shoulder down and braced himself with his wing. The fireball collided with it and scorched a blackened patch into his pearly white feathers. Nayko gritted his teeth and shook violently in the pain of that attack.

His staff, unable to withstand the heat of the fire, quickly melted and became a puddle at Nayko's feet. He felt himself losing control, and put his efforts into maintaining the liquid about the monk's neck. It was difficult for him muster, but inside that band of liquid, several jagged pieces of ice began to take shape. The studs of ice jutted into the monk's throat, using the water as an elastic band more so than a choker. The studs grew on either side of the throat, compressing it and shutting off the air way.

[11]

100Cristopher Reinhart

There was nothing more Reinhart enjoyed than watching or participating in a good fight and maybe enjoying a drink. Standing with his drink in hand he watched Nayko try time and time again to choke the fire breathing monk. Honestly, the monk reminded him of something he'd seen in the circus as a kid. Sipping his drink he watched and merely waited for the match to be over or maybe even jump in to Striker for Nayko.

Seeing there was no real reason to do so at the moment and that Reinhart felt like Nayko should either win or lose alone he stood still next to Stacc.

"Looks good so far, though I'm afraid of getting my eyebrows burnt off by the fire breathing monk."

Another nervous laugh and Reinhart continued sipping his drink even as Dragonforce used it's own Striker.

101Rykono Tadaya

((I'm sorry to say, but I need to be off for about two hours. I'll return as soon as I can. Sorry!))

102Jonath Nell

Staccato was also standing there. He had finished his drink a long time ago and was really just staying there because one it would be difficult to get over to his teams side with all the fighting and two because he rather liked talking to Reinhart.

Staccato would only Striker if he felt that he was really needed in the fight, and seeing that Sutiiven had already done his part, Staccato felt that he might not be needed. It would all depend on how things went.

"Yeah, I did not even know he could breath fire. If I had, I would have brought some marshmellows."

Staccato was not sure if he had gone to far that time and he hoped that Shuyin had not heard him, though with even if he had, it would not suprise him if his team captain would at least find it amusing and not offesive.

103Darshendros the Eternal

((No prob.))

The water choker thing needed to be put to a stop. Clenching his right fist, Shuyin drove it into the ground, pounding a small depression of cracked stone into the floor. He scooped up some pieces of debris and squeezed them in his fist, grinding them into dust, then patted the dust around his neck. With the water absorbed by the dust and the studs knocked loose by his hand, either while he patted the dust around his neck or afterwards when he wiped the dirt off, hopefully there would be nothing left to deal with in regards to that.

The round was nearing its end, and Shuyin wanted to finish off his opponent. He cupped his hands and brought them to his side again, charging another fireball, straining to put as much of his energy into it as he can, and keeping his eyes on Nayko.

(11)

104Cristopher Reinhart

Laughing Reinhart folded his arms, his drink now gone he kept a watchful eye ont eh fight though Stacc had made him laugh.

"Hating on the Captain eh? Hehehe."

Of course he was being sarcastic and he too played with Silver once in a while even if it was just scaring him.

"Looks like the round's nearing it's end, we may have a third round on our hands."

With his eye narrowing at his own statement he mentally pushed the thought of Nayko losing aside. The two fighters seemed to be at a stalemate as far as knocking each other out was concerned.

105Jonath Nell

Staccao Chuckled a little bit himself while watching everything that happens.

"Yeah, I am just testing him. If he can take a joke then he really is a good captain."

Staccato was keeping his voice in a very ernest tone even as he was smiling. Almost as if he were giving mixed singals.

"I sure hope we get to have a third round. I really want to see Sutiiven cut loose and really fight."

Staccato was still not sure what would happen in the fight, for he did not know what other things the Nayko could do, and he was not totally sure now what other types of powers his captain might have saved up. Considering he had never seen the fire-breathing thing.

106Rykono Tadaya

Reinharts words drifted weightlessly in the air and danced in Nayko's ears. A third round wasn't necessary, or so he thought. Reinharts teasing only brought a frustration to Nayko that only placated his irritation for the matches drawn out course. Nayko, also, was tired of this and wanted to end it. He knew the tactic of the man and smiled as he ran forward. The man didn't know where he got his surpluss of water, for if he had, he'd know that the dirt wouldn't aid him now. The fine gravel which came from the stone floor of the walls floor wouldn't absorb the water as well as he thought. In fact, it would only be absorbed in the liquid band. The gravel gave the water more shape, and so made it a more effective choker.

The monk, however, didn't allow that. With the water easily obtained, he discarded and left it to the ground. Nayko hurtled himself forward, his wings flared and his hands open. The puddle which came from his staff ran up his feet and wrapped about his body. Collecting further moisture from the source Nayko discovered, he encased his entire body in a watery layer that glistened in the light. The discarded and neglected water at the monk's feet rose, a piece of gravel at the center of each of the droplettes. The rock filled water rose up and assaulted the monk, striking at him from underneath, while Nayko surged forward and threw out his arm. The sleeve of water around it hurtled off and formed several thin needles that flew toward the monk who stood preparing his next attack.

[12]

107Darshendros the Eternal

Good, he was coming forward, just as he had hoped. Shuyin put his full concentration into charging the Hadoken, ignoring the pieces of gravel that were lifted up by the water and assaulting him. The fireball suddenly crackled with electric-like bolts arcing up along his arms. Shuyin held his stance firmly, digging his clogs into the ground, the gravel bits tearing through his clothes and scratching his body all over. He waited until the last possible moment, when Nayko surged forward with his attack.

"Shinku Hadoken!" He thrust his arms forward and unleashed his fireball, twice the size and power of the first one, surging forward to plow through the needles and slam head-on into Nayko.

Go for broke.

(12)

108Rykono Tadaya

Nothing in this match was done intentionally. From the moment the two fighters stepped into the ring, they had a plan. Each step they took led them down the path of glory. Nayko didn't have the physical strength and skill that this monk did. So besting him in straight head-to-head combat would have been rather foolish. Instead, he kept to his wits. The needle projectiles flung so eagerly were not, in any way, meant to act as an attack. They were a signal. Nayko needed to know the precise moment when the monk would have unleashed his attack. The pelting water that held the gravel was used the same way. Nayko's spirit is connected to all water, in any form, and is able to know of it and sense its movements. When the water came in contact with the monk, he knew of his bodies positions. When the ball of energy demolished the wave of pin needles, he knew when to fly.

Nayko's wings gave a mighty beat and his legs lunged him into the air. His body soared over the might blast propelled by his wings and the momentum of his run. He drew the remaining water from his body hastily crafted a sheet of ice that encompassed an area around the monk. Descending onto the monk was a thick plate of ice, too wide to avoid and too sturdy to be ignored. Nayko held his breath as he drifted downwards. He prayed that the monk wouldn't expect such an attack, and that he would be to fatigued to avoid the massive falling sheet of ice.

[13]

109Darshendros the Eternal

That fireball was going to have to explode somewhere. Shuyin had no way of combatting a flying opponent, especially one that was always fleeing from him. Seeing a shadow suddenly appear over him, the monk looked up to see the massive sheet of ice descending upon him. Did he have enough energy for one more move? Probably, but then he would be vulnerable to attack. He closed his eyes and waited, focusing what energy he had left, then at the last second threw his right fist into the air, slamming it into the sheet of ice and shattering it, rising up into the air through the shower of ice shards.

(13)

110Rykono Tadaya

The ice shards flew about him, and encircled the jumping monk. He had passed the ice sheet, hurtling himself into the air with his fist raised high. Nayko had hoped it would be enough to render him unconscious, but he underestimated the monk. With his own form falling toward the rising monk, he knew what he'd need to do. His hands clasped about the rising monk's wrist and his wings gave another mighty beat. The two jerked up into the heaven's and above the wall. Nayko, confident that the man would not be killed, let him go, sending him off with a kick to his exposed side. The monk would no doubt be sent across the wall and out of the ring, ending their match.

[14]

111Cristopher Reinhart

"Staccato...."

Reinhart said, his voice trailing off as he leaned his head in Stacc's direction to make sure he was heard.

"...your captain is a very interesting fighter."

All truth, no sarcasm laced in his voice, Shuyin was what Reinhart imagined a monk to be like, the essence if you will. It all made sense to Reinhart now, those popular fightin video games were based off something, this was one of those things.

"I can't wait to see what Suttiven can do."

With no offense to Nayko and no doubt in his ability in mind or heart Reinhart did want to see what the other member had to offer.

112Darshendros the Eternal

Oh, what a mistake that was. Shuyin was actually surprised the angel would even do something like that, though he saw the intent behind it. He meant to throw him off the wall. Shuyin wasn't going out like that though. He curled his arm, pulling himself up and wrapping his legs around Nayko's waist, grunting from the exertion. With his left hand, he reached around to grab Nayko's wing to pull on it, and dangerously affect his manueverability in the air. Suicidal? A little. Did he have a plan? Making it up as he goes along.

(14)

113Rykono Tadaya

Damn this monk was determined. He struggled about Nayko like a mad man destined to win. But Nayko was a seasoned aerial combatent. He'd been trained to fly for hours with heavy sets of armor and weapons. Carting around a monk wouldn't be too difficult, even if it was awkward. Nayko soar higher, his mind alert and his senses sharp. He summoned the shattered pieces of ice to his person and covered himself in the water layer once more. The monk grasped his wing, but his got only feathers. Nayko, annoyed by his wings mutilations, covered them in the same liquid layer. The monk held tight, but gravity and certain circumstances were against him.

The angel was slick, and when Nayko straightened out his body, the monk wouldn't be able to stay wrapped about him any longer. If he were wider, bulkier, or fatter, the monk could have easily stayed on. But trying to brace ones self on a thin twig like Nayko would be impossible. The water acted like a lubricant and gravity only aided to that. On the ground, a thin sheet of ice awaited the monk. Try as he might to land safely, the monk was in for a ride. Nayko expanded the the water about him and drew it into large masses of floating ice. The large rocks followed the monk down to the ground, intent on issuing him his final blow.

[15]

114Darshendros the Eternal

This was not good. Shuyin slid off the lubed up angel and went into a fall. He spun around so he was facing the ground and spread his arms and legs, controlling his fall. Too bad there weren't any walls up this high, or he would be able to slow himself down. If only he were born with dragon wings too...

Shuyin had to think quick, and think fast; the wall was rushing up to meet him. Pulling his gi off and holding onto it tight so it wasn't blown away, Shuyin rigged a makeshift parachute, but it would only serve to slow his fall a little. Still, that slight difference would bring those large chunks of ice that were following him to the ground closer. He swung out with a claw, latching onto one and clawing his way up along it, causing it to fall slightly faster than the other. Shuyin lined himself up with the other chunk of ice. He would spring off just before it would slam into ground, catching on and climbing fast, then spinging off the second ice chunk, dropping into a roll onto the fighting area of the wall, littered with chunks and shards of ice, rolling for several feet before just flopping down onto his hands and knees, catching his breath. The effort left him exhausted, muscles burning, and still only two actions to go before the end of the round. He needed to last just a little longer if he wanted his team to go on.

The ice which the monk grabbed turned into free-falling slush. His hands slipped into the substance and the surface froze over once more. Then monk made a desperate move, and it might have cost him the match. The falling ice took a sudden jerk outwards and flew out across the borders of the wall. The remaining ice rested in mid air awaiting the monk's move, calculating their course to render him incapable of using them as stairs. The massive chunk of ice that the monk had been imprisoned in hurtled down and away from the Great Wall of Gambino before completely liquidating; allowing the monk to fall down onto the earth a great distance away from the wall.

Before the chunk of ice Could even start moving out toward the edge of the wall, Staccato was there. He had slamed his metal back plate into the ground shaping it into a barbed spike with a long metal rope attached to it. At the end of the rop was a good sized barbed ice pick.

Using the skill he normally controlled the whip with, Staccato would quickly toss the barbed ice pick up and over Staccato would stick it deep into the near side of the Block of ice at the topClose enough to Shuyin so that he could grab it if he had his hands free.

After preforming this action, Staccato would dash back out of the way. To go and stand next to Reinhart.

118Darshendros the Eternal

THUNK! Shuyin looked up to see a metal ice pick sticking in the block of ice. He grabbed the pick as the ice liquiefied and the pick dropped through. Shuyin shimmied up the rope as fast as he could as it sail through the air, vanishing over the edge of the wall. The rope would then go slack. A moment later, a clawed hand came up over the edge of the wall, clawing into the stone. Shuyin pulled himself back up, rolling over the edge and getting up to his feet, stumbling over to the back plate and using it for support, catching his breath. Shuyin looked over his shoulder, giving a thumbs-up to Staccato, because he was too out of breath at the moment to speak his thanks.

Staccato would return the thumbs up to to his captain. Then he would turn to Reinhart whom he had sort of ignored because he was paying so much attention to what was happening. So that he would not miss a Stiker attempt.

THUNK! Shuyin looked up to see a metal ice pick sticking in the block of ice. He grabbed the pick as the ice liquiefied and the pick dropped through. Shuyin shimmied up the rope as fast as he could as it sail through the air--

Those stationery ice chunks weren't floating in the air waiting for the sun to go down. They had been left up in the air for an occasion like this. Shuyin held his own during the match, and perhaps even bested Nayko on most of the occasions they went toe to toe. But it all came to a close. With Shuyin's desperate climb to the surface came to be what Nayko planned to be his undoing. The free floating chunks of ice made a mad dash at the rope in which Shuyin now climbed. The rope held strong, being constructed from metal would allow it to withstand a barrage from ice. But the ice didn't stop there. The form quickly reverted into that slippery watery layer which seeped down the rope to where the monk held. The entire rope was covered in the substance, and the monk would not be able to maintain his grip if he wished to continue climbing.

To seal the deal, Nayko shifted the path of the remaining ice pieces to plumet down and halt Shuyin's climb; striking him in the head, shoulders and hands. Nayko let it all go. Every bit of water needed to do its part. From the ground below, tendrils of water sprouted up in gysers to spray Shuyin with the liquid doom. The water covering him froze in sections at his feet to create weights which would try to bring him down. Between the slickened rope, the pelting shards, and the heavy ice, there seemed to be no way for the monk to make it up the rope. Nayko was tired, and he wanted this to end. He descended onto the wall and snatched up a puddle of water to create rod of ice. If the monk made it up, Nayko would be waiting to greet him with a blow to whatever he saw. He knew now that Team Dragon Force would try to halt his victory at any chance. Nayko remained alert, feeling the monk through the water, and watching the teammates with his eyes.

121Darshendros the Eternal

When the rope went slack, Shuyin had latched onto the wall with his claws, scaling it like a cat climbing a tree trunk. Shuyin would have to work harder on the climb to avoid being pummelled to death by the pieces of ice, flying around to strike him on the side of the wall, though he had to wonder how Nayko could see him at all, being up so high and away from the water-slicked rope. He kicked the ice forming on his feet to free them of the weight, persevering and continuing the climb. He couldn't give up now - he wouldn't! Seeing a shard of ice coming in where his hand just moved, he moved it away just as it struck the wall, then dug his claw into another hand hold and continued pulling himself up.

Shuyin's head would pop up over the edge of the wall, and if Nayko would indeed strike him with that rod... well, there wasn't anything Shuyin could do, though Nayko would probably regret it if Shuyin fell to his death and got his team disqualified... so for his sake, we'll assume he held back the finishing strike, since the round was ended now. Shuyin pulled himself back onto the wall, soaked, beaten, exhausted, and gasping for breath. He still managed to look up at Nayko and grin.

The fight would go on... if the judges ruled in his favor anyway.

(Final)

122User 367130

Silver clapped his hands together, obviously pleased with the way this match was going. Even if the round had ended in a draw, Nayko had fought valiantly. All they had to do was win this final round to seal victory for their team.

"Excellent, excellent! That was an incredible display of endurance from the both of you!"

They didn't even striker in support of his friend, but they always liked to save those for the final moments when they needed it most. Not that they've ever used a striker, but whatever.

((Sorry about not being able to support you, mang; I had the stomach flu.))

123Rykono Tadaya

((This is just in response to the climb, seeing as how I would have done it any way. The judges will have to make the ruling on this in order for it to fly, but here it goes anyways.))

Shuyin's thought of Nayko being passive at the matches end was an ill thought move. Nayko whirled around and delivered a devastating blow to the top of the monk's head. The ice rod shattered and fell down the wall. Shuyin, weary and exhausted from the match, could only do so much to prevent the blow, let alone keep his place on the wall. But Nayko knew the reprocussions of his actions, and he would not let a truly gifted fighter perish in a non-lethal tournament. As such, the water that had been hell bent on taking Shuyin down no rested below him as a free standing pillar of water whose sole purpose was to catch the possibly falling monk. Nayko wanted a win. He'd give anything to get it, but he wouldn't risk forfeiting the team. He prayed, for Shuyin to submit, to give in to the blow and end this grueling fight. He prayed, also, to be forgiven for harming another creature of this world. For Nayko knew that fighting so maliciously was a sin, and he feared the punishment for it.

124Tei Kae

Kitty watched everything with excitement, refusing to giggle when Reinhart and Staccato signed her thigh or anything. She was rather pleased with herself. Once she checked with her boss about her next assignment, she made her way over to the crumpled ruins of the Tower where several people were standing around watching the fight, but she still had a pretty clear view.

"Go Ryugin...go..." She cheered, though not as loudly as last time, only a few people nearby would hear her.

125Ryugi Kazamaru

Awesome fight Nayko! I couldn't have done better myself!

A voice would come from above the young woman. She might look around for a minute or two, surely no one was ABOVE her, but would soon find that the voice had indeed come from, oddly enough, the TOP of the piece of debris. It was none other than Ryugi Kazamaru, the Vice-Captain of Team Ryugin. It would seem he was still watching the fights from atop his original spot.

126Tei Kae

Kitty glanced up. Was it?! It was!!! The red haired girl got extremely excited and glanced down at her jeans. Maybe she could get another autograph. Pushign through a few people, she climbed the tower up next to Ryugi, giving him a beautiful smile, hoping her obss wasn'tseeing her risk her neck on work time.

"Excuse me, Mister Kazamaru?"

127Ryugi Kazamaru

Fae Decker Wrote:

"Excuse me, Mister Kazamaru?" Wha!?

Ryugi spun around to face the young woman, who he had not heard or seen approaching him OR the pillar-like protrusion of a past pompous poltroon's palace. He jumped out of instinct, and immediately remembered that gravity was not something that was fun to contemplate whilst falling.

-CRUNCH-SMASH-CRASH-FLIP-FLOP-FWHUMP-

And thus, he landed face-first onto the ground below, after falling through the outer branches of a poorly placed tree. Not the most graceful landing for the Vice-Captain in any regard.

128Kalin DNom

She finished climbing, sitting down where he has stood...previously. "Umm...Mister Kazamaru? You okay?" She hadn't expected him to be well...so clumsy. She looked down and giggled, he looked silly and rather...well, human. Or mortal at least.

129Ryugi Kazamaru

Tabi Kat Wrote:

"Umm...Mister Kazamaru? You okay?" Instead of speaking first, a single hand rose up from where he lay, and gave a thumbs up. This was soon followed by him standing up, brushing himself off, and spitting out some dirt. He then turned to face the young woman and grinned, looking surprisingly good for just falling through a tree, and a total distance of about one hundred and fifty feet.

Oh, I'm fine, Miss. Don't worry about me. Ask anyone on my team, I have a hard head.

He smiled kindly, one of those sweet, kind smiles that he would generally show to anyone, and the type that would make fangirls swoon. Of course, Ryugi knew nothing of fandom, fangirls, or even swooning for that matter. And it also appeared that he knew nothing of checking his hair after a fall, as he had a small branch complete with leaf sticking out of his spiky doo.

130Kalin DNom

Kitty swung down, going down a lot easier than she went up, swinging around the pillar until she landed with a grace that said she wasn't -quite- your average teenager.

She bowed and then gave him another one of her beaming smiled. "Sorry for all the trouble, I just wanted to get your autograph."

131Ryugi Kazamaru

Otto...graff?

Ryugi took on a puzzled expression, and tilted his head sideways a bit. He blinked, confused. Ryugi was first and foremost, a dragon. And as such, he wasn't completely familiar with all modern technology. The first time he'd ever seen a helicopter was during last year's Heaven or Hell tournament. He'd seen cars before, but they always made him a little unnerved.

And, being a dragon, and new to fandom, he really didn't have a full on comprehension of what an autograph was.

Is that anything like a Fotograff?

Same suffix, different prefix, an association was drawn, but for the most part, the dragon was a bit clueless. If anyone found his apparent innocence cute, they'd be having a blast with this one.

132Tei Kae

Kitty giggled. "So cute..." She all but squealed, "You sound just like that cartoon dragon my little cousin watches at home." He was adorable but Kitty was a girl on a mission.

"An Ah toe grr ahh fuh is where you sign your name to a piece of paper, or in this case, my jeans so I can show off the fact that I met you to all my friends." She braced one leg on the wall like a ballerina and showed him Reinhart's signature.

"Though you can pick any spot you want."

133Ryugi Kazamaru

Ok, an ah-toe-grr-ahh-fuh was when someone signed their name on a piece of paper for someone so they could show people that they had met you. Paper... Jeans... Wait a sec! Paper was not jeans! Oh why oh why did this ah-toe-grr-ahh-fuh business have to be so difficult!? Le sigh. Confused as he was, Reinhart's signature was on her Jeans, and so thats where he would sign.

Oh! Ok... I...guess I will be needing a pen of some sort.

He bent down to inspect the leg as she braced it on the wall. His teammates sure had nice handwriting.

134Tei Kae

She smiled and handed him a pen. "Just don't sign on top of the others." He was smart enough not to do that surely, but he had an naivete about him that made it possible and she didn't want anything to ruin this event for her.

135Ryugi Kazamaru

No problem Miss!

He smiled again and wiped a hand through his hair, finally realizing he had the twig nestled in it. He took on a sheepish look as he brushed it out and chuckled nervously.

Seems I missed a bit there, heh...

He then went to work signing her jeans. The others had left him plenty of room, which was a good thing, because Ryugi Kazamaru wasn't exactly the shortest name of the group. He found a decent and open spot near her upper thigh, and smoothed out the fabric before neatly writing,

"Ryugi Kazamaru -

Vice-Captain of Team Ryugin"

His handwriting wasn't beautiful or extravagant like Silver's or Reinhart's, but it was neat and tidy, and easily readable and clear to anyone who might see the pants. When he finished, he stood back up, admired his work, and then handed the pen back to her with his friendly, and gentle grin.

There you go Miss! I hope that's what you wanted.

136Tei Kae

She giggled, "I wonder why everyone's liking to sign the thigh." She didn't mind, it was only mildly embarrassing. Then as he stood up it sank in her brain. This was Ryugi Kazamaru, one of the guys who'd almost beaten Glacier...hmmh...Glacier...Sunstrike...She has to remember to get Sunstrike's autograph at some point.

"Thank you, Mister Kazamaru. And good luck." She bowed again and grinned bigger. It was then he would catch sight of the fang on her outer lip from her upper canines. She wasn't completely human herself.

137Ryugi Kazamaru

You're welcome, Miss...

Ryugi stopped in his sentence. He hadn't even gotten her name!

Oh dear... It seems you know my name, and I don't know yours. I'm sorry, but what IS your name Miss?

He smiled, looking a little embarrassed himself.

138Tei Kae

"Kitty. Kitty Faen." She held out her hand for a shake. He was a lot more 'human' than she'd expected. "It was really a pleasure. I had to sit out watching HoH live last year, so I'm thrilled I could be here this year."

139Ryugi Kazamaru

I'm pleased to make your acquaintance Miss Fean.

Ryugi smiled, his red eyes warm as always, and he took her hand and shook it firmly, but softly at the same time, the way a lady's hand should be. He was always a gentleman, even if he WAS a dragon. He finished shaking her hand and responded to the rest of her statement.

Well, I'm glad you're here then. I like it when other people are happy. It keeps everyone happy, and that makes ME happy in return.

140Tei Kae

She nodded, he'd gotten her name wrong, but it happened all the time. She was used to it by now. " You're strange, Mister Kazamaru. It's rare to find someone who really is happy making others happy."

141Ryugi Kazamaru

It is truly a shame that that is the case... There is nothing to gain from causing pain and sadness to others. Kindness, generosity, and friendship go alot farther in this world than people might realize. Oh, and sorry about your name Miss Faen.

He looked sheepish again, the quick glimpse into his deeper side quickly disappearing under his honest emotions.

I still have trouble pronouncing some of the more exotic names here.

142Tei Kae

"It's alright." Her smile was warm. "I'm rather used to it. Doesn't even phase me anymore."

143Ryugi Kazamaru

Well, thats good to hear. I wouldn't want to upset one of our fans. That would be bad. I don't know much about this "fandom" but I know that upsetting people is generally a bad thing. Like I said, happy is best.

He chuckled a bit.

144Cristopher Reinhart

Responding to Stacc as he returned from Striking for the monk Reinhart still stood with his arms crossed facing forward.

"Looks like we'll get the chance after all, I hope Nayko doesn't feel too bad he didn't score a victory."

And as Nayko finished the round Reinhart would clap for him, it was a good display of skills and endurance. Nayko possesed above average control over water too, how inteesting. One more match to go, who would be next? Silver or Ryugi?

145Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi then grinned and spoke to Kitty once more.

Well Miss Faen, it would seem that my teammates have finished fighting, and it appears that I'm up next. So, feel free to root for me, but I must take my leave.

He gave a little bow and a wave, before walking towards the wall for a distance, before executing a powerful jump to lift himself up onto the wall near his teammates.

Nice fighting guys. You both did well.

146Jonath Nell

Staccato just smiled at Reinhart. A little preoccupied with his thoughts on what might see from Sutiiven in this next fight. this othe teammate of his had never used his true abilities in a spar with them. He was eager to see just how powerful this person might be.

After a moment he did speak though. Almost as an after thought.

"I could not let Nayko win in such a way. He would regret it later on."

147User 367130

Silver closed his eyes, letting out a small 'heh'. It was about time Ryugi joined them in the battle zone.

"You're up, dragon boy."

There was no way he'd let Ryugi sit on his lazy a** all match, even if he'd have to wait until the next round for a fight. He felt rather confident that they would obtain victory.

148Darshendros the Eternal

Shuyin would join Staccato and Reinhart, after recovering enough energy to stand and move on his own. He planted himself down on the ground. "I could use a bit of that ice right now. Man, I'm sore."

149Cristopher Reinhart

"I'm sure Nayko had a plan Stacc, sides the fall isn't too great. a seasoned fighter could take it well."

He winked and nudged Stacc, though the difference between him and his teammate was that Stacc wore armor. 30 feet isn't that bad unless you land on your head or something. As Shuyin joined them Reinhart looked to the monk and smiled.

"Great fight."

Soon after he bent down to pick up his cup which still had some form of ice in it, though it had partly melted. No a big problem to Reinhart though because as he handed the cup to Shuyin the water and ice froze over once more. The cup had gotten cold enough that it formed a thin layer of ice on the exterior.

"Enjoy."

He said smiling again giving the frozen cup to Shuyin then stood back where he was arms folded looking around for Kitty. More drinks were needed!

150Ryugi Kazamaru

Silver Moonblade Wrote:

"You're up, dragon boy." So I guessed.

Ryugi grinned at Silver in his usual way. He then took some time to do a few stretches and crack his back, neck and knuckles. He needed to stretch a bit to loosen up. He hadn't actually fought against an opponent for months. He'd trained, sure, but he hadn't fought an opponent for quite some time.

151Jonath Nell

Staccato looked over at his partner and smiled. With a bit of a cocky sence to it.

"maybe you should ask the angel. I am sure he can whip up some more for you. though I would suggest someting just a little smaller than what he gave you last time."

Staccato would then reply to Reinhart.

"It was not about the fall, it is just the way it was going to happen."

152Darshendros the Eternal

"Thank you," Shuyin said with a smile, taking the frozen cup and putting it behind his head. A drink would be nice too, now that he thought about it.

"I'm glad we'll get to see Sutiiven fight. Maybe we'll finally get to see his full potential now." Shuyin chuckled, thinking of all the times he sparred with the swordsman.

153Sutiiven

Ignoring the comment from Shuyin, he quietly advanced onto the battle feild. He stood there, eyes closed, breathing deeply in an almost meditative state. The wind atop the wall blew around him, causing his hair to flail elegantly. He drew his weapons from their sheathes, and held them to his side.

"I'm ready."

He made a sudden movement into his En-Guard stance, and unleashed a loud "KIAI!" as he prepared to tackle his opponent - the one known as Ryugi.

[1]

154Ryugi Kazamaru

[2] Ryugi grasped Ragnarok on his back, hefting the sword to his shoulder. As soon as he did this, a pulse of energy would be felt my all magical types. Ryugi's teammates would IMMEDIATELY notice a difference in his power from last year...

Leftover water on the ground around Ryugi in a radius of three to four feet would begin steaming as the heat from Ryugi slowly began to evaporate the liquid. His friendly gaze was gone, and had been replaced by one of pure determination and focus. His resolve was strong ... unbreakable resolve.

Let us begin this...

[Post 1]

155Rykono Tadaya

Before anyone could ask, Nayko whipped up a tendril of water and crafted seven goblets carved elegantly out of ice. A second tendril rose up and filled each of the seven goblets, which drifted silently toward their respective person. "Praise he, who let us come together and marvel in one another's ability!" Nayko said trying to be enthusiastic. Trth be told, he was miserable. His wings were chared and aching, and he didn't feel like cleaning the water off of them right now. The dampened feathers would only become bothersome sooner than later, but he detested doing anything hygenic at the moment.

Nayko ushered himself toward the standing teams and bowed low to Shuyin. "Honorable Monk, you're skills are truly impressive. I fear that if we were to ever bout again, you'd surely come out the victor." Nayko smiled at his competition, no longer feeling nervous towards their presence. His part was done, for now, and he could relax and watch his friend do something spectacular. "Ryugi, show them the true meaning of strength." He nodded incouragingly toward his teammate and took the task of finding a seat. "Blessed are those who fight and live." He muttered sitting down and attending to his burnt wing.

156Sutiiven

Sutiiven was well aware of his time limit, and wasted no time initiating combat. He rushed in towards his opponent full speed, and slashed his right hand blade at his opponents face, leaving the second blade open for defensive manuvers if needed.

[2]

157Ryugi Kazamaru

[4] Sutiiven charged, and Ryugi prepared himself, reading his opponent's body movements, and seeing the motions indicating his strike. Ryugi's teammates would see a glowing rune of energy appear behind Ryugi's back, hidden by his body... Closer...closer...NOW!!

Ryugi pulsed energy into his legs and dashed forward...and up over his speeding opponent JUST as the right hand blade zipped under him. Ryugi was literally five to seven feet above his opponent, with his opponent behind him. And instead of Ryugi's body, his opponent would come face to face with the energy rune that was floating where Ryugi had just been.

SHOUSHITSU!!

As Sutiiven would be wondering what the hell the rune was, it would glow bright for a split second before a powerful blast of flames would erupt from the rune right towards the speeding Sutiiven, his momentum carrying him directly into the blast. The searing heat and force from the flames doing roughly 400 damage to a fighter with 1000 HP.

But it wasn't finished yet. Ryugi would have flipped over Sutiiven and timed the blast to coincide with his landing behind the man, Ragnarok at the ready, and already in mid swing with another of Ryugi's techniques.

Quote: *Fire Lance-

Ragnarok is slammed into the ground, launching a lancing flow of energy that snakes across the ground, either fire, or light/holy damage, medium to high damage -no charge, can be used in one turn-

The massive force from the erupting rune would blast Sutiiven directly into the oncoming energy lance for even more damage as the two powerful forces collided on his body. Of course, if the rune somehow missed, the energy lance across the ground would still be a problem to the man since it would be coming from behind him...[0]

[Post 2]

158Sutiiven

Sutii grimmaced and put up his left hand blade in order to cover some of the damage. Due to its ice properties, it absorbed some of the damage, but still caused the swordsman to get seriously burned. Landing on his back, he rolled back onto his feat and pushed off in a backflip, barely dodging the Fire Lance as it went under him. He began to perspire as he felt the heat lick at him.

Finishing the flip, he landed on his feet, and prepared for the next attack.

[3]

159Ryugi Kazamaru

[2] Ryugi had to admit, that was a good dodge on his opponent's part. Not everyone would have thought of that. However, Ryugi was unable to attack from his position with his sword this turn as he hefted Ragnarok out of the wall where it had embedded itself into the rock. He continued to draw in energy as tiny specs of white began to spin around his form. Nothing really harmful at the moment, but they were there nonetheless...

He hefted Ragnarok to his shoulder as he dashed in towards Sutiiven, right arm on Ragnarok, his left trailing behind him.

"It was an honor to fight against you," Shuyin replied, smiling, "Though unless I suddenly grow wings of my own, I think the results would be the same if we fought again." At that, he chuckled softly, then sipped his drink.

"Come, sit with us, and if you don't mind, conjure up some of that ice to soothe my aches, if you'd please."

Shuyin then turned his attention to the final fight, between Sutiiven and Ryugi.

161Sutiiven

As soon as Ryugi was in striking range, Sutii sidestepped the charging man, facing his open left side. Opposite was the wall's edge. With this one and possibly only opening, he unleashed an ability.

Quote: Delta Drive: Sutiiven attacks three consecutive times in attempt to damage and possibly force an opponent backwards. (Charge: 3 Turns)

"Once!"

He slashed his right hand blade hard vertically at Ryugi, stepping forward.

"Twice!!"

He swung his left hand blade hard horizontally at Ryugi, stepping forward again.

"Thrice!!!"

He came down with both blades in an x shaped cross, stepping forward once more.

If sucessful, the attack on Ryugi's unprotected side would stun the warrior enough to get the other two hits in, possibly pushing him close enough to the edge for a ring out. If any of these failed, there was a chance that Sutii would be in a seriously bad position.

[4]

162Ryugi Kazamaru

Sutiiven Wrote:

As soon as Ryugi was in striking range, Sutii sidestepped the charging man, facing his open left side...

[4] [4] Ryugi was not the kind of person to simply charge into a situation he wasn't generally prepared for. Linear as the course set up might have been, Ryugi was well aware there was enough room for a person to zip to the side and avoid an attack. Ryugi had charged down the middle of the wall in order to leave as little maneuvering room as possible on both sides (about 7 feet). Sutii had pulled a marvelous move by sidestepping, causing Ryugi's momentum to keep him moving in the direction of his charge, however, Ryugi had yet to unleash all of his tricks.

He was almost certain the man was going to sidestep rather than clash head on, and as such, he was prepared for something of that nature. As Ryugi saw Sutii's body shift to his left, Ryugi twisted his body around, his feet skidding along the rocky stone of the wall as he turned to bear on his opponent, letting lose with a pulse of heat energy in the opposite direction to slow his body as he swung Ragnarok into a vertical blocking position.

-CLANG!-

The first hit was blocked as it was deflected by the mighty dragon's sword, and Ryugi dipped low under the blade's protection, the sword still protecting him.

-CLANG!-

The second blow came into contact with the weapon, and Ryugi acted quickly as Sutii would have to move his blades into the position for their third and final strike. Instead of backing off, Ryugi pushed off of the ground towards Sutii, aiming to ram the fighter with Ragnarok as the small white specs quickly grew into solid crystals that zipped around Ryugi's body, protecting him from any immediate threat for the time being...

Quote: *Crystalization-

This technique was gained from Ryugi's travels in the fire elemental plane. The fire element is forced into a solid crystal that is on par with the hardness and sharpness of diamond, and due to the intense heat and pressure within the crystals, they have massive cutting power, easily capable of piercing the thickest and hardest of materials with relative ease. Even solid metal cannot withstand these crystals for long. If so chosen, the crystals can cut into a solid force, and then explode for massive damage to an opponent. -50 damage for each crystal exploded, can be created from ambient flame energy and energy from aura-

163Cristopher Reinhart

"Right."

Reinhart said to Stacc then turned to Shuyin waving one of his folded arms.

"Not a problem."

Then took his drink offered by Nayko raising his glass at teh angels words before taking a sip of the cold drink. Now he simply watched the last fight between the two teams holding the goblet like some kind of lord or king. Between hi index and ring finger like he would hold a good ol cup of wine or something along those lines.

Ryugi seemed to be a little more focused this year and was screaming out as much, which was good in Reinhart's opinion. On the sidelines however there was a gathering now from both teams all sharing a drink and exchanging friendly words. HoH started off good this year.

164Sutiiven

Sutii was blown back slightly by the crystals, grinding into the ground. He recovered quickly with another back push to his feet, landing again. Blood dripped from his mouth, and he was covered in minor burns. He grimaced, and began muttering something under his breath.

Quote: Double Dragon Enchantment: Sutiiven activates the spell engraved into his magic weapons. (No Charge) (Instantanious Effect)(Element: Fire, Ice) (Arcane Ability)

The runes on his magic blades flashed, and suddenly the weapons glowed with flames of burning fire (right hand) and freezing ice(left hand). He ran and jumped into the air, coming down with both blades, attempting to gash Ryugi with his now enchanted weapons.

((Sorry for the delay... Even Microsoft doesn't have a clue about my comp.))

[6]The crystals zipped around to surround both the fighters and took up a position around them, still growing in size, as more tiny ones began to form. Then Sutiiven jumped into the air...

Ryugi leapt back to gain a bit more time before moving Ragnarok up into a horizontal blocking position, preventing the attacking swords from striking Ryugi. However, it wasn't done. If Sutii could feel the energy from his weapons, he would feel that energy draining away, and into Ragnarok as the larger sword absorbed the magical energy from the weapons, adding to Ryugi's overall energy level...

Erik moved into the stands, making way for Jessica who clutched onto his arm as they made their way towards the front of the crowd. Erik had smartly left his crown back in the hotel room, they wanted to draw as little attention to Jessica right now as possible. They simply looked like a well to do couple, enjoying a bit of coarse entertainment.

"This way, Jess.."

The platinum blond looked out over the crowd and into the fighting group. "This is so interesting..." Her tone was slightly dull but she put on a brave face. The dark haired man just grinned and cast a glance out to the fighters as well. This was the recommended fight other than Glacier at the moment so it sounded interesting. He should look and see who was on the team, and if any of them looked like they might be for hire.

So they stood there watching; when Jessica got a chill, he threw his trench around her shoulders and pressed her into the crook of his arm as they watched the fighters, and he perused the brochure. "Team Dragonforce and Team Ryugin..." He didn't look at the names listed beneath just yet. "Interesting names at least."

169Darshendros the Eternal

"Hmm." Shuyin watched the actions of both fighters, impressed by what he's seen so far. He closed his eyes, listening to the sounds of their battle, seeing it play out in his mind. The monk relaxed his body, folding his legs in front of him with his hands on his knees, letting only those sounds into his thoughts.

It seemed that Ryugi would outshine them all this match, as gave a display of talent befitting his reputation. Nayko found his roars both amusing and reassuring. The will to fight and the will to survive were the essential components a combatent needed in order to obtain victory. Shuyin's determination to make it through their match placated Nayko's opinion, and he felt more at ease as the tournament progressed.

Shuyin then turned and asked for some ice. The thought puzzled Nayko at first, but a scripture about human anatomy suddenly sprang into his mind and he recalled a passage detailing that extreme cold numbed pain. The physiological differences between the two warriors, though minute in appearance, seemed far more grand when broken down piece by piece. "I cannot refuse giving aid to someone in need. Even if you were my enemy before, you stand here now, as my friend." Nayko's minded clouded suddenly, and the fatigue from his fight caught him in a great rush. He stumbled trying to stand, but finally he managed to gain enough composure to steady his legs and his mind. "Almost lost myself there." He chuckled taking a sip from his drink."

The familiar feel of water came from underneath him, like it did during the match. He focused his thoughts around the hidden resevoir and drew up a small gyser that streaked into the sky. "Truthfully, you only fell prey to chance. If there wasn't any water channelled here from the tower's collapse, I might not have been able to keep things even between us. I succeeded in not failing only by the chance of location and circumstance. Then again, it was most likely willed by the Higher that we had to fight. I've learned a great deal about my own ability, not to mention the unpredictable nature of my enemy. For that, I can only say that I am blessed to have faced you, dear Monk." Nayko bowed once more, but kept his eyes on Ryugi. He knew that he'd need to gain a lot more then just minor details about is failed attacks. Nayko needed to learn the fire of the fight that drove his teammates.

171Sutiiven

The blades collided with Ragnarok, but were removed from it a second after they hit, theoretically limiting the amount of energy that had been drained. Sutii wasnt paying attention to the energy drain though, he was intently focused on attacking. After he had removed the blades from their parried position, he pulled a 360, coming around with both blades to strike at Ryugi's unprotected side whilst landing on the ground.

[6]

172Ryugi Kazamaru

Sutiiven landed and slashed, and to his surprise, he would hear a CLANG. But this wasn't from Ryugi's body, no. This was from Ragnarok hitting the ground as Ryugi dropped the weapon. And as Sutiiven looked, he would see Ryugi in a braced position, with fierce determination in his eyes...and Sutiiven's two swords caught in his gloved hands...

Quote: Gloves - Ryugi's gloves are fireproof/heat resistant as well and have thick layers of woven dragonsteel into the palms as well as a plate across the back of the hand, allowing him to be able to grasp swords and other sharp objects without fear of injuring his hands. Unknown to all but Ryugi himself, the palms of the gloves are also given a special weave into the dragonsteel threads. This weave serves as an energy leyline, and allows for easier transfer of energy to, and from, Ragnarok for use by the fighter. The tips of the fingers on the gloves are covered with small claw like tips that can act as scratching or slashing tools against an opponent.

As Sutiiven's enchanted blades made contact with Ryugi's hands, he siphoned more energy from the blades, giving him a total of 12 turns of energy. Ryugi's aura pulsed hotter and hotter around his body, the temperature now hot enough to cause second and third degree burns to an opponent only five feet away from him. The razor sharp crystals spun around Ryugi's form, protecting him from direct attacks, along with the searing heat of his energy, but they did not move to attack...

Ryugi gripped the swords HARD in his grasp, refusing to let them leave without a fight, and as if to put a period to the end of his statement, he yanked the blades towards his form, to either side of his body, and at the same time, Ryugi's heavy armored boot headed straight towards the open and unprotected chest of Sutii. [12]

[post 6]

173Sutiiven

Not waivering, Sutii made a comment as the boot was coming towards him - there was no way he could dodge in so little time.

"Idiot... The blue one is Ice."

He was then thrust back, releasing the left hand blade. The blue weapon flashed an odd color as the Ice was siphoned into Ryugi. Without its twin to balance it out, it began reacting negatively to the Fire Power of the person holding it, and the weapon began to attack Ryugi, forcing even more ice through him. Theoretically, this could severely cripple a Fire Dragon.

Sutiiven crashed into the ground again, righting himself in the manner that he did before. The difference, however, was that his hands were in a position similar to Shuyin's in the previous fight. The other weapon lay flaming at his feet.

Quote: Kagayaki Hadouken: (Lit. Translation: "Radiance Surge Fist"; refered to by Sutii as the "Shining Hadouken") Sutiiven's rendition of the Hadouken; He focuses energy into cupped hands via hand chakra points and launches a beam of energy with a double opened palm strike.(Charge: 3 Turns) (Spiritual Ability)

With a nostalgic cry of "HADOUKEN!" he launched the attack directly at Ryugi. If all went according to plan, he would be unable to move properly due to the imbalance of Ice in his Fiery system to dodge sufficiently. It was a longshot, but Sutii was running out of options.

174Ryugi Kazamaru

[14] Now, Ryugi may have been a fire elemental, but he was NOT a fire dragon. In fact, he was a gold dragon, and one of the benefits of being a gold dragon was that extreme temperatures, be it hot or cold, didn't really effect him much. Hence how he could wear such a warm outfit even in summer and be just fine. However, it wasn't the temperature that bugged him, it was the ice itself. Ryugi gained the energy, yes, but at a price. The strange energy flow caused a thick casing of ice to form up around his body.

The intense heat from Ryugi's flames was hot enough to cause severe burns to an opponent five feet away from him, but on his body itself, the heat was enormously more powerful. The ice was quickly balanced by the intense heat, though it still encased Ryugi's right arm. Reacting quickly, Ryugi shot almost all of his energy into his left hand, the arm glowing with brilliant red orange and white energy as he physically tore the blue ice blade away from his body, the massive amount of fire energy balancing its freezing cold, and with a single movement, gripped the icy blade in one hand, and tossed it out over the edge of the wall, effectively removing it from the fight.

Ryugi felt the extreme amount of power flowing from Sutii, but at this point, it was either remove the blade before it consumed his form in ice, or dodge the Hadouken. Hopefully Sutii would be less powerful with only one blade, especially if the other blade's twin was now gone from his grip and unable to balance the fiery twin. In a last ditch attempt to protect himself as much as possible, Ryugi crossed his arms in front of his form, and hoped for the best...

Sutiiven Wrote:

As Sutii made ready to attack, he would suddenly become painfully aware of the trap Ryugi had set up a few moments earlier.

Ryugi Kazamaru Wrote:

The crystals zipped around to surround both the fighters and took up a position around them, still growing in size, as more tiny ones began to form.

The bigger crystals had taken up a position around Sutii and Ryugi as they had been near each other, and had stayed there as Ryugi grasped Sutii's swords. The smaller ones began to form around Ryugi's body, even as the bigger crystals sat floating all around, and above the pair of fighters...

Ryugi Kazamaru Wrote:

The razor sharp crystals spun around Ryugi's form, protecting him from direct attacks, along with the searing heat of his energy, but they did not move to attack...

And now, Ryugi made them do just that as his opponent was about to cry out, a last ditch effort to stop his opponent from attacking. As Sutii had recovered, and made ready to cry out the name of his attack, the crystallized fire energy would suddenly rain down upon his form as dozens of the crystals shot towards his form, attempting to hit him before he unleashed his attack. As the crystals rained down upon him, they would explode, doing concussive damage as well as heat damage to his opponent.

If the crystals were unable to stop the attack in time, the Ryugi, braced for the impact, would be sent screaming down the length of the wall, tumbling end over end by the sheer force of the blast. However, this was only if the crystals failed to do their job.

((Have to go again... bloody schedule. Will post after striker move tomorrow.))

177Darshendros the Eternal

Shuyin's eyes snapped open and he jumped to his feet. He saw the precarious situation Sutiiven was in, and leaped in to help his teammate. Standing behind Sutiiven, Shuyin raised his right hand into the air, palm facing the heavens. An aura of ki energy radiated off his body as he focused all of it into his hand, then curled it into a fist and slammed it into the ground. The resulting effect would be a massive shockwave of energy erupting from the ground around himself and Sutiiven, shooting outwards to about a five foot radius. In theory, it should handle the majority, if not all, of the crystals coming in from an angle, exploding along the shockwave's perimeter, the crystal frags being blown back by likewise, but that would still leave those few coming in from overhead. Hopefully, Sutiiven had something up his sleeve, because this was all Shuyin would be able to do for him, given the time constraints. After handling his business, he would leap back over to where he had been sitting to avoid getting the team penalized, leaving an impression of his fist split into the ground.

Jessica's eyes widened as she saw the display, unable to resist the urge to squeal with the shining of auras. Then again, Jess didn't know this wasn't a normal thing, what with a chopped memory and all. She took a lot of things for granted or simply didn't notice them at all.

Like not seeing several people in the audience staring at her wind spun platinum hair blowing in the chilled breeze, her face flushed with excitement or the rape of her body by Erik's eyes after she had removed her jacket. Erik noticed though, and grabbed her opposite shoulder and pulled her towards him.

"Owww...Erik, that hurts." She winced, but didn't say anything as he didn't release her and she tried simply to pay more attention to the fight.

179Darshendros the Eternal

((Kat, you need a new font color for that character. >.<; ))

180Cristopher Reinhart

There wasn't much Reinhart felt like doing as he stood there with the rest of his team and a portion of Team Dragonforce. Ryugi seemed to have the upper hand on Sutti and as before when Nayko fought he felt no need to Striker. Sides, he believed if they couldn't make it past the first round without help then they'd be gone by the second.

No offense to anyone but he usually was a hard a**, he just hid it pretty well and knew how to let it go when needed.

181Kalin DNom

The pain from Erik's grip was enough to get Jessica to look away from the actual fighting and she gave a glance around the field. "Which teams are fighting, Erik?"

Erik glanced down again, "Umm...Team Dragonforce and Team...Ryugin it looks like." Tilting the brochure so she could have a peek at it.

"Cristopher Reinhart?" Jessica immediately caught onto that name as she ran over the list of members. She looked up at Erik, her eyes full of questions. "Didn't you leave a note on my door for a C. Reinhart?"

"Uhm..." Erik didn't know what to say for a moment, he'd completely forgotten about the boy. "Yes, he's a fighter. I wanted to see if he's worth anything as a fighter before I approached him with a job offer."

"Oh...I wonder which one he is.."

"Ladies and Gentlemen, you are witnessing prime example of the abilities that helped lead Ryugin to second place last year. And Team Dragonforce is no slouch either. But with the knockout by Cris Reinhart in the previous fight, will it be enough?" The video then showed flashes of Cris' fight with Staccato ((Sorry if I spelled it wrong)).

Jessica saw the red hair and pointed excitedly over towards Cris who was standing a distance away. "There he is...!" She was positively beaming. "If you left a note for him on my door, he must know me too..."

Erik wrapped his hand around her mouth. "Shush...Don't disturb them." He prayed that Cris wasn't too much a freak with super hearing or anything, luckily for him the crowd was going wild with the light show.[ But he began looking for the exit just in case.

182Sutiiven

The striker was all Sutii needed to get the Hadouken off, causing it to launch at Ryugi whom was braced for the impact. Unhindered by the pain of countless explosions due to the quick thinking of Shuyin, he managed to perform yet another backflip out of the way of the ones coming from above him. He was scathed slightly by one of the explosions from them as they hit the ground where he had stood, but his body was already too well beaten to care.

When he landed he was holding something - not his swords, but something just as sharp that he kept hidden on his body for times like this.

Quote: Sword Rain: Sutiiven takes multiple kunai and hurls them all at the opponent. Accuracy and Power varies from a sparatic scatter to a focused arrow depending on number of kunai thrown and range. (Usually in these incriments: 3, 5, 7, and 15, as well as 30 and 45 on rare occasions.) (Charge: 1 Turn)

Quote: Magnitude: 30

After fanning out some of his kunai like playing cards, he began hurling them quickly, one after the other, sometimes in groups of 2 or 3, at Ryugi, until he had thrown 30 of his 45. If he had been quick enough, the blades would be able to reach the dragon before he had time to completely recover from the effects of the Hadouken. When he had thrown the lot, Sutii brandished two of them for main weapons until he could get his other weapon back. Re-armed with steel and determination, he faced his opponent.

183Ryugi Kazamaru

[18] The attack came at Ryugi at full force, his one and only last ditch attempt to block it having been Strikered by an opponent. Wasting a Striker for a single hit... It seemed illogical somehow, but what was done had been done, and Ryugi had bigger things to worry about. The Hadouken slammed into him at full force, his legs attempting to hold off the blast with little to no effect as he was thrown backwards from the sheer magnitude of power. End over end he went tumbling down the length of the wall, landing nearly 75 feet away from his opponent. Luckily he was able to absorb a little more energy from the powerful blast as it slammed into him.

His body was sore all over from the blast, but nothing he couldn't fight through, he'd had worse... He pushed himself to his feet quickly, knowing that another attack would soon be on its way, because no fighter would dare waste an opportunity like the one they would have right now. As he jumped up, his sharp eyes picked up several small objects headed for him. With a thunderous pulse of energy, a massive rune exploded into the ground below Ryugi, sending chunks of wall into the air as he let loose with a mighty battlecry!

KUUURRAAAAAAAHHH!!!!

Quote: *Saturation-

When Ryugi reaches his natural fully charged energy level (14-20) turns of energy, his body is said to be saturated with elemental energy. When his body is saturated, a thick burning aura of red and orange energy flows around his body. This aura is incredibly hot and can burn any unshielded/unresistant opponent who comes into contact with it almost instantly. The temperature of said aura in its beginning stages alone is even hot enough to melt stone, and weaken most metals. The heat coming off of this aura can be directed and forced towards any direction Ryugi sees fit, and can allow him to fly using the force as propulsion. He can also use the energy of the aura and the combination of it with the heat to attack opponents and defend himself without wasting any energy in the process. However, the aura only has a direct attack radius of ten feet in any direction, limiting its effectiveness to close range only.

*Ascension-

Ryugi pushes his body and energy past its usual limits by charging himself with elemental power. This has no effect on his elemental attacks, but it ups all his base stats by 50% as he lets go of his inhibitions and fights with his full power against his opponent.

As the first wave of kunai approached Ryugi, a massive blast of heat and fire erupted from the fiery aura around him, swatting them aside like insects. Then, with a massive burst of energy that shot into the sky, and an explosion, Ryugi charged directly towards Sutiiven, his arms behind him, his feet barely touching the ground as he used the heat from his aura to propel himself at high speed towards the fighter. The subsequent waves of kunai were swatted aside by the massive energy Ryugi had stored within his body and aura. The rock below him was melted by the extreme heat of Ryugi's energy, leaving a groove as he sped towards Sutii.

He zipped by the area where Ragnarok had fallen, and grabbed the sword, preparing for his next attack, and whatever it was it wasn't going to be light...

[post 8]

184Sutiiven

Sutiiven's eyes widened as a massive fireball of a dragon surged towards him.

"He... Ascended?!"

It was all he could do to get out of the way of the aura that surrounded the dragon, diving and dodge rolling away from the beast. He managed to get close enough to grab the Fire half of the twin weapons, the other half lost over the side of the wall. He replaced one of the Kunai in its previous holding spot, and took up the magical blade, still glowing with Flame. In the other hand he held the second Kunai in a style that one would weild a Main Gauche, or some other sort of defensive weapon. He looked back, sweating bullets at the sight that he had only read about.

[9]

185Ryugi Kazamaru

[20] But Ryugi wouldn't be a worry to his opponent for much longer, or would he? As Ryugi sped past Sutii, he pulsed his energy and shot himself into the air high above the wall, and as he rose, the energy around his form sparked and erupted into a massive roaring torrent as he whipped around to face the wall, nearly 200 feet above it, the energy pouring off of his form in all directions. If Sutii thought Ryugi was a tough opponent before, he was about to see a whole new powerful side to the man...

[post 9]

186Sutiiven

Sutiiven swore a countless curses beneath his breath. He would still put up a good fight, but he was now out of options, short of running around in circles and launching cheap shots until he could unleash an ability or something. Even then, he was in big trouble. He used his flaming weapon to bat away falling shards of rock and fire that came off of him from the launch into the air, and awaited his opponents next move.

Sutiiven's back was to Ryugin's captain and he didn't seem to have much thunder left. Not only that, but he was completely focused on the powerful attack Ryugi Kazamaru was about to unleash on the unfortunate Sutiiven.

The opportunity was just too good to miss.

Quickly, but silently, Silver Moonblade sprang into the offensive. Bracing with his left leg, he would drive a powerful kick to Sutiiven's lower back. Logically, he would probably fall over or buckle into a crouch. Were this the result, Moonblade would follow up by stomping on his back or chest with his right leg; hard. If not, Sutiiven could look forward to a strong right hook to the side of his head.

"Finish this, Ryugi!"

He would then back away quickly; he didn't want to be anywhere near Sutiiven when the attack went off. Hopefully, he would have a few broken ribs or gotten the wind knocked out of him. He would have just used Dragoonair, but at full force it would go right through him. And killing was against the rules of the tournament.

189Ryugi Kazamaru

As Ryugi faced the ground, he continued to rise higher and higher, now nearly 400 feet up. The massive torrent of flaming energy roaring around Ryugi's form in the sky soon took shape around him as Ryugi began to move towards the ground at a high rate of speed. The sky burned and roiled around Ryugi as the massive cloud of energy heated the air around him to such an extent the vision of Ryugi's form, shrouded in massively searing flames, was blurred by the convection and air currents. The energy then began to form up around him even more, the falling form of Ryugi looking more like a comet than a fighter.

H Y P E R ! ! !

The energy gathered up around Ryugi, forming into a massive, searing ball of glowing gold, orange, yellow, and white energies, the ball letting off an aura of its own energy with tendrils of power seeping off the back of it. Any magic user would feel the strength from the attack as with another sudden pulse of energy sent the ball, now nearly the size of a car, and Ryugi racing towards the ground at an even faster rate of speed than before! As the ball neared, the crowd would feel the temperature rising a few degrees, but nothing serious. Sutiiven, however would feel the heat rising significantly as the ball grew nearer as it illuminated the ground below it like a mighty sun in the sky, the air blurring from the currents and sweltering heat.

N O V A ! ! !

The massive ball would collide with the wall, tearing into the rocky surface as if it were a knife, and guiding the massive force right towards the target, his opponent Sutiiven, was Ryugi himself.

A T T A C K ! ! !

The blast would explode with titanic force, sending chunks of wall flying into the air, and luckily away from the audience and other teammates, as most of the force of the blast was angeled up and away from the wall. The force from the detonation would blast a massive chunk out of the newly reformed wall, and the searing heat would melt pieces of the rock into molten magma and glass. Sutiiven would be completely preoccupied with the attack coming from Silver Moonblade to be ready for the massive strike that was headed his way, and as such, not only would the blast do a whopping 1000 damage on a scale of 1000, and the heat cause terrible burns, but the force from the massive blast would send Sutii flying into the air, and away from the wall at nearly fifty miles per hour, launching him clear out of the ring...

In the aftermath of the attack, one would see Ryugi, standing on the wall, Ragnarok in hand, and ready to continue the fight if his opponent somehow managed to avoid everything, and or return himself to the wall before he could be rung out...

190Sutiiven

((Oh no, I posted out of turn... I'm correcting this, but I understand if thats a penalty or something... not that it matters too much, I've practically lost...))

((And some Editing due to some discussion with Ryugi.))

Ah, the curse of not paying attention. Fortunately for him, Sutii did not crouch or buckle, but the force of the blow thrust the lad forward. He landed flat on his face, but consecutively pushed off of the ground and up on his feet. He had always been good at falls in training. He was a little dazed, but theoretically still able to block a normal attack. Ryugi, however, was not normal, and he had very little chance of surviving said attack, let alone blocking it. He held the flaming sword up, crossed with the kunai in feeble attempt to block whatever came at him from the dragon, as well as keeping aware of another striker.

When the smoke cleared from the Hyper Nova, a severely charred Sutiiven would be seen getting up off the ground. His firey blade dropped to the ground, alight no longer as its full energy had been spent in attempt to deflect what in essence was a massive fireball. Sutii had pushed all of his energy behind the block, and lo and behold, he stood dazed, somehow still alive from that hit. He grunted, and continued starring down his opponent with fierce, albiet exausted determination. He was not going to stop until every last drop of fight had left him.

"Co...come on... I'm still... here... come an... fig... fight me...!! I may be... only half... but I am still... dragon!!"

He didnt look very majestic though... scarred and burnt, he defiantly faced his opponent. He had been blown clear to the other end of the wall, managing to just slam into a large piece of rock that had landed in his flight path. This wall was not going to be repaired anytime soon.

[11]

191Darshendros the Eternal

Shuyin coughed and waved his hand through the smoke, brushing it away. He blinked his eyes and looked upon the destruction wrought upon the wall. Miraculously, the area they were all sitting in wasn't effected. So far for the wall being repaired. He grimaced as he looked over at Sutiiven. He had to admit, he admired the man's determination, but he faced the fact that this match was all but over.

Unless Sutiiven had a final trick up his sleeve.

192User 367130

"He's got the fighting spirit, I'll give him that."

Silver grinned, speaking to Shuyin. He had been at the brunt of Ryugi's attacks way to many times, so it was nice to see them used on someone else. Though he would admit that he hadn't been in the presence of more than one half dragon at a time, before. They were usually quite rare. Silver could only wonder what their other halves were; he couldn't always tell just by looking at them. He was specialized with pure-bred dragons, not racial hybrids.

193Ryugi Kazamaru

[14] Ryugi's eyes opened in shock for a moment. How did his opponent weather that blast, and also manage to stay put!? The man had much more determination than Ryugi had previously given him credit for. He then grinned, this man was truly a great fighter, but it was time to end the fight. Ragnarok in hand, Ryugi dashed towards Sutiiven to close the distance between them...

[post 11]

194Sutiiven

"KUUUUUURRRRRRRRRAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

The man roared out in a way similar to the draconic yell that Ryugi had done when he had performed the Ascension. He begame engulfed in a silver aura, pulsating from him. He was attempting something he never had tried, and he didn't know how it would turn out, but he couldnt help but try. It was crazy, absolutely suicide. But he obviously didnt care.

Quote: Premature Ascension (?): Sutiiven attempts to unleash his draconic potential in a way similar to Ascension, however, it is much weaker than that of a fully matured Dragon. (Charge: ALL)

With a flash of light, he performed the manuver. What came out of it was nothing special; where a Silver Dragon should have been a deformed half human half dragon stood. He shed a tear, and screamed, pulsing out as much energy as he could from his body, hoping that Ryugi would fly into it and be at least a little bit hurt. When he could output energy no longer, he collapsed, out cold.

[Final Post]

195Darshendros the Eternal

"Oh my."

Shuyin surely wasn't expecting that, and looked quite surprised. Being a half-dragon himself, he knew of the longing to feel what a true dragon felt. He wasn't capable of Ascension though, or anything that could change his form. The only promises of change were at the end of his training, when he finally becomes a grand-master and ascends to that next level of being. That was still for years to come, though.

196Ryugi Kazamaru

[16] Ryugi's own draconic power collided with Sutii's as he sped forth, the full power of Ryugi's energy being enough to withstand the force from Sutii's lesser energy. However, the sudden burst of energy had stopped Ryugi in his tracks out of sheer caution. One does not charge full speed ahead into a dangerous situation without first checking your options, and Ryugi knew better than to speed into the powerful maul of a creature with draconic blood in its veins, even if it was only half so.

Then, the young man collapsed to the ground, out cold. And Ryugi quickly dispersed his powerful aura, bringing himself back to his regular energy levels. It had been a good fight, and this warrior was extremely well trained, and battle worthy. Ryugi was blessed to have had the opportunity to fight against such a fighter.

You fought well, my opponent. But the battle is over. You've done your team proud...

[Round End - Match Over]

((Good fight Sutii! Thumbs up ))

197Sutiiven

((Heh, thanks... It was fun, even if I lost.))

The deformed draconic bits slowly eased back into the normal human shape. The man's eyes slowly opened. He grunted, and attempted to get up, but only fell back to the ground. From head to toe, the swordsman was charred black, covered with severe burns and bruises.

"Wh... what happened? The fight... who won the fight? Ah!..."

He doubled up in pain as he tried to move. He breathed heavily, and new the answer deep down inside. He laid there, bleeding, awaiting medical attention, or at least what little he could get atop the devistated wall.

198Darshendros the Eternal

Shuyin rushed over to the injured Sutiiven, bringing a hand behind his head to ease it to the ground, his other hand hovering over his chest, as he transferred his chakra energy into his body to soothe his wounds. It would weaken him in turn, so he only used enough so Sutiiven would be able to stand on his feet, at least. He would still need some assistance until he could receive proper medical attention.

"Rest now, my friend. You fought well," Shuyin said. He then looked up at Ryugi, smiling and nodding his head. "You both fought excellently. It was an honor fighting against you all in the first round, even if we lost."

Sutiiven Wrote:

"Wh... what happened? The fight... who won the fight? Ah!..." Ryugi rushed over and gently placed his hand on the young warrior's chest, and eased him back onto the ground.

Hold it there friend! You're injured! Take it easy for a moment and let me heal you...

Ryugi carefully placed his other hand on Sutiiven's chest and a soft white glow overtook the man, a soft warmth overcoming him.

Quote: (Special) *Adamant’s Blessing-

Though powerful, not all of Ryugi's techniques were attacking ones... He grinned as Sutii's wounds would be healed, and he'd feel back to 100%.

There you are, that should do it.

200Sutiiven

Sutii blinked as he was healed. He stood up, but had to catch himself as he nearly fell from the overdosage of Healing from both Shuyin and Ryugi. Slightly dizzy, he grinned weakly and rested against a wall.

"Thank you both... it was a hell of an experience, even though Team Dragonforce is out of the running." He glanced down at the fire half of his twin weapons. It was fried, covered with black char and smoked lightly. "It looks like I'm gonna have to fix these two up - the other one wouldnt have landed lightly after that toss over the edge..." he muttered, not really paying attention to himself.

It was over, and he was still just a nobody. A nobody that had just attempted to transform into a dragon premature, but still a nobody. It was back to training for him. He sighed, told himself to snap out of it, and so he began the process of moving on.

201Ryugi Kazamaru

Whether you guys are out of the running or not, you've all made four new friends. Don't look at it as a loss, think of it as gaining a better understanding of how to improve yourselves, and gaining new friendships.

Ryugi smiled happily and tapped Sutiiven on the back as he made his way over to where the other team members of both teams were relaxing against the wall, taking a seat next to Nayko, Reinhart, Moonblade, and the members of Dragonforce.

202Sutiiven

Sutii glanced up at the others, and smiled a bit. He glanced around at the devistation of the wall.

"Damn... someone is not gonna like cleaning up after this mess..."

His smile then turned into a grin, and then a hearty laugh. He took him and his newly changed mood over to the group. There were stories to tell and experiences to share about the fights that had occured, not to mention he had another sword to find and 30 Kunai laying around to pick up. He sheathed his blade, and walked happily over to his new friends.

It may have been the end of Heaven or Hell for Sutiiven Takahashi, but it was the beginning of so much more.

203Darshendros the Eternal

Shuyin pulled a bamboo flute out of somewhere and sat amongst the group, playing a tune for everyone in attendance (you know, that one Quai Chang Kane/Bill plays on his flute) until one of the judges came along to tell them all what they already knew. It was kind of peaceful here though, on the wall, despite the recent devestation. Shuyin made a note to himself to visit this area sometime again.

204Ryugi Kazamaru

Thoughts of what lie ahead permeated Ryugi's thoughts, but whatever team they were matched against next, whatever course lay in wait for them next, no matter what came their way, Ryugi knew that each member of his team would perform to their best, and give it their all. It was all they COULD do, and if they didn't win the next round, they would have still fought a mighty battle.

Ryugi contemplated the possibilities as he listened to the calming flute melody played by Shuyin.

205Sutiiven

Sutii plopped down in a seat next to the others, listening contently to Shuyin's flute. He had always liked music, it seemed to have a calming effect on him. He glanced around at all the others, wondering what was going on through their mind as well as how they were feeling - those fights were not to be taken lightly on the body... well, except for the case of himself, but even after the complete healing he was still good bit sore.

206Cristopher Reinhart

Reinhart knew his teammates quite well and the battlecries from Ryugi were definitely no surprise, good reminder of last year if anything. Throughout most of the match he had stood with his arms folded watching both Sutti and Ryugi only taking the time to respond to Shuyin or Stacc. Seemed the round was over and everyone had a bit of time to relax while they waited for the official ruling of the judge.

Still he stood unmoved only taking the time to give Ryugi and Sutti a nod as if saying "Good fight." after he would just enjoy Shuyin's melody relaxing a bit.

207Rykono Tadaya

This tournament was beyond anything Nayko had come to expect. He stared in awe as his brother's most trusted friend enveloped himself in such a monsterous fury that raged through the heavens like flaming lance thrown by the Higher. He trembled at the thought of that kind of power going against the Celestial Choir, yet revelled in the idea of it being their ally. Perhaps Rykono did see Ryugi's true self behind the dragon's eyes and found that his friendship was much more precious than his hatred. Nayko shook the idea from his head. Rykono never thought in such callous terms. He put the man before the profit, and Nayko would too.

His wings instinctively coiled around him when the erruptions occured. He found his still ruined wings aching under the splach of dust and debris, but the pain became bittersweet. With ever twinge of agony for him, came more for the enemy; and although Nayko didn't wish there to be any permanent harm to the opposing team, he did wish their down fall. "Blessed are those who ascend into the heaven's and wrought the damned and dispicable. Blessed are those who purify the tainted and wring the evil from the soul of mere man." Ryugi's ascension caught a grip on a nostalgic thread in Nayko's forgotten life. The ascended were blessed by the Seraphim and allowed patronage and passport into the Higher City. Empyrean, for several thousand years, had never seen any ascended being besides the Celestials themselves. Perhaps, when this is all over, Nayko could bring his new found friends into the Higher City; if they wished to venture that far.

The match came to a close, and Nayko sat on the edge of his seat. His palms perspired with the cold sweat of anticipation. He stood, not knowing why but neither questioning his motives. "Show us the light, and unto your heart take us in flight." He murmered. Ryugi won. Through the teams efforts, they pressed through opposition and came out ontop. Then again, there was always the possibility that they lost on account of points. This tournament wasn't as general as simple win and lose. This construct held the same prinicple as the human tournaments of Altinea. Non-lethal, based on merit and not simple definition of winner or loser.

"Ryugi," Nayko began, but soon realized that the word was only a whisper. A cold clutch at his stomach made him fear confronting anyone or anything sat this time. He couldn't contain himself, and he didn't want to belittle his team by showing a rather flamboyant side he tended to shun. "-what a match." He finally finished sitting down. He gaped at his teammates with a stupified expression as he retraced the events of this last match.

208Cristopher Reinhart

"You know..."

Nayko would find Reinhart standing right next to him suddenly in the same manner he stood before, arms folded. The goblet Nayko had made was gone but the refreshing feel of it's contents were satifying if anything. It wasn't like Reinhart was trying to scare Nayko be suddenly appearing at his side, it was just what he did.

"...no need to shrink under the display of your teammates nor should you feel the need to."

Turning his head slightly the wind pressed his face knocking his hair away from it revealing both his eyes. A beautiful ice blue left eye and a contradictory blood red right eye.

"We're all part of this team, win or lose, there's no need to regret your actions or feel the weight of failure. You did good."

His voice was stern and very leveled as if putting emphasis to his words.

209Rykono Tadaya

Besides the sheer power of Ryugi's ascension, the thing that caught Nayko by surprise the most was Reinhart's more compassionate side. Twice, now, he stood before Nayko and offered a peace of mind. Nayko rose, as if rising to the occasion, and and exhaled his remorse for his own loss and approached a still standing puddle of water left from his goblet. The water rose in select drops and collected to from a cyclinder. The shaft of the water rippled under the pressing notions of Nayko's concentration, and it slowly began to take shape. The figure of a bloomed rose appeared in the water and in a exhilirating rush, Nayko froze the emulated flower into a crystaled replica.

"We all have our purpose in this world. We all share a connection with the sake and soul of the Higher. But we choose how to live for that sake, and we choose how to express our endearment." Nayko stepped toward the edge of the Great Wall and lifted the rose. A glint of light refracted in the crystal form and it glared with a beauty beyond aesthetic properties. "I know this better than most, dear Reinhart." The rose slipped from Nayko's grip and fell down the edge of the wall. A soft crackle at the bottom spoke its demise, and Nayko turned to join his companion once more.

Nayko smiled, feeling a warmth brewing inside his heart. He drew a rosery from inside his garments and extended it to Reinhart. "We all have prayers that need to be answered, but we are constantly forgetful that we are the ones who make them come into fruition. I offer this to you, knowing now that I won't need it to do what I must for the sake of my soul." The small bracelet had a soft blue hue to the bleached white bleads, and the cross at the base was clear and hollow. A teal liquid filled the hollow space, and gave the cross an image of an aquamarine. "It's brought me fortune in ways I'll never know. Perhaps it'd be better if it found its way to the wild card of our team. That way, we keep all mysteries together, and then not a soul in this realm willbe able to off-set our progress."

210Cristopher Reinhart

Reinhart listened and watched Nayko even as he lifted the rose to the light then let it drop to the ground below shattering like delicate things tend to do. The simple gesture reminded Reinhart of many things, of how hopes and dreams can be shattered as easily, rising to the top and hitting rock bottom, sorts of things he usually didn't think of. As Nayko continued his eye were met by Reinhart, his look was that of steel yet piercing like the strongest spear or sword.

Watching Nayko take the rosary and offer it to him his arms unfolded as he took a step closer to his Angelic teammate. Taking the rosary from him he look it over holding it in his palm for a moment. He'd smile, he wasn't used to this kind of treatment and didn't really know how to react to it so he did as what only Reinhart would do.

"Thank you. I'm so emberassed, I didn't even get you anything."

Then he'd laugh lightyl looking to Nayko as he put the Rosary over his wrist taking a moment to exmanie the way it looked on him.

211Rykono Tadaya

Nayko chuckled, basking in the radiance of what could only be labeled as friendship. This poignant moment seemed to detour the severity of what happened today. In a short while, the judge would announce the victor, and the team best fit to move on would be sent into the next round. Nayko hoped that it'd be easier as time went on, but was an ignorant gesture. Praying for an easy win didn't garuntee it, and he knew that now. This first match drug out to the bitter end, each man wishing for it to go on longer; though they all knew it would end with one of them turning and walking away. It seemed, as favor would have it, that Team Ryugin would be moving on. But calls from the judge were notorious for crushing the delicate flower desire.

212Cristopher Reinhart

Reinhart put his hand on Nayko's shoulder, the rosary hanging loose from his wrist as he smiled to his teammate.

"Let's hope the rosary brings me good fortune as it did you Nayko."

Turning to face evryone else they only needed to wait for the judge to make the official ruling. From the looks of it his team was in favor and they'd move on to round two. Who their opponents would be was still a mistery but wit his team's will there was hope they'd make it far again this year.

"Hope you're ready for round two."

He said still looking forward folding his arms once more.

213Ryugi Kazamaru

Are you guys talking about me?

Ryugi had snapped out of his daydreaming to hear his name mentioned a couple of times. He stood up and leaned against the wall as he asked his question, stretching a bit as he did so.

214Rykono Tadaya

"Dear Ryugi, why would we be speaking your name? You ask as if you've just won some immense victory." Nayko twisted his sarcasm to tease the daydreaming dragon boy. He nodded to Reinhart, and gestured to the Captain. Silver, there leader couldn't be without comment. Nayko brimmed with curiousity as to what the Captain thought of their first round. Stepping in front of his two teammates, Nayko bowed to his Higher and spoke in an exaggerated voice, "Captain of Team Ryugin, Silver Moonblade, I solemnly bestow to you the graces of your magnifiscent team. We, your proud and honorable soldiers wish to offer both blade and bone in the contest of strength and passion. Take head in choosing our gift, for it comes with a price most extreme." With a broad smile, Nayko turned to face Ryugi and Reinhart and extended his hands. "We expect a meal fit for king's of men, and the finest of wine bled from the berries of victorious glory. Bestow to us a grand life, and we'll bestow the sweetest of victories unto you."

Nayko chuckled at his own speech, but then felt a small twinge of guilt. "Blessed are those who speak in eloquence and sacred demeanor. Bless me, for I dare not choose the path of a martyr, nor do I pray for the coming of egoistic suicide at the sound of my own word." His body quivered with the relaxation of his nerves, and he adorned the broad grin once more.

215Ryugi Kazamaru

Nayko, you never cease to confuse me. I fought in a tournament fight, and won. There isn't any great victory in it. My opponent fought valiantly, and I enjoyed the challenge. If anything, THAT is my prize.

And come on, I totally heard you talking about me.

Ryugi chuckled, waving off the conversation as Nayko turned to Sivler and started talking to him. Ryugi grinned as Nayjo spoke, then spoke after him.

I THINK he's saying that he and the rest of the team are hungry, and that we should go find a place to eat. Maybe Dragonforce would like to come along.

216Cristopher Reinhart

With his eyebrow cocked Reinhart stood there listening to Nayko and coudln't find the words to reply. The Angel didn't cease to amaze him in his devotion to the Higher or whatever it was he served.

"Don't know about the rest of what you said but I'll take the feast and wine."

Laughing lightly he winked at Nayko to show it was only a joke and that he understood what he said. He was just being Reinhart, no need for grand speeches and all that shi.....jazz. Not fromhim at least, Nayko did a better job.

217Darshendros the Eternal

At the mention of food, Shuyin snapped out of his meditation (he frequently loses himself in deep thought). "Food?" As if invigorated with new life, he sprang to his feet, excited about the prospect of a full, hearty meal - especially after such a grueling match.

"Sounds like we'll be having a post-first round party."

218Ryugi Kazamaru

That sounds like a winning idea to me!

Ryugi smiled and turned to Shuyin who spoke up. Ryugi was hungry after that battle, and could really use a nice big meal.

219User 367130

Silver rolled his eyes at Ryugi. His cheesiness never seemed to cease.

"So long as there's plenty of wine, I'm game.

Though he'd have to admit, Ryugi wouldn't be the same if he wasn't as corny.

220Sutiiven

Sutii had been quiet during this time, but couldnt resist perking up at the sound of a post first round party or something of the sort.

"Sounds good to me."

He got up off the ground and stretched idly.

221Fengrading

Well, the last of the judging is done, and the scores are in and averaged out. Obviously there is going to be a lot of bitching, but its only expected when testosterone is flaring up in unbelievable levels.

Points are awarded in 4 categories, each part is worth 5 points. On a rating scale of 1-5 for each category.

  1. Did they break any rules?
  1. How long did it take them to post?
  1. Were they creative?
  1. Could you tell what they were doing? Also being were they able to describe their moves clearly?

So winning is not about beating the living crap out of someone, but rather RPing as a whole. Though of course, winning a round does provide bonus points, and contrary to that, arguements result in deduction of points.

The Great Wall of Gambino

  • Team Ryugin - 17.333
  • Team Dragonforce - 15.233
