DUREM CATHEDRAL

Oldschool styled cathedral. Flying butresses and the like. Polished marble, gold trim, and all that other fancy stuff. Hey look, benches!

Terrain

General - The entire length of the cathedral serves as a fighting area, its central space lined with pillars to either side, ending with a rise onto a dias at the very back. Benches line the outer areas past the pillars.

Weapons - Crosses, holy water.

Bonus Effects - 'Evil' aligned creatures feel an unease in the sanctified area. 'Evil' aligned abilities and magic suffer hindering effects.

2Dragosani Kain

It wasn't long before Kain saw the gleaming steeple of the Cathedral.

He supposed it could be a nice piece of architect but his body didn't think much of it.

His engines roared and he could already see that the place was lit brilliantly to properly present the Heaven of Hell battleground. Camera crews and their personal tech lights added more to the display, making the building look as if it were glowing with stars at its base.

Kain accelerated to the waiting people, all eyes on him as he approached on his roaring steed. He leaned and pulled on the breaks to fishtail so that the side of the bike faced the posse, black rubber marking his path before he halted.

There was an enourmous cheer and again he was swarmed with questions.

"What do you think your chances of winning are?"

"Do you regret not bringing an alternate fighter with you to this years tournament"

"Please, will you have my babies?"

One of the fans rushed up to him and gave him a small white kitten. He waved to cameras and gave a smile out here or there, but he really wanted to see the fighting ground.

"Alright, my friends. Sorry I can't answer all of your questions right now, curiosity, y'know."

Sierra was much better at handling that sort of business. Anyway, he headed into the place, kitten underarm.

3The Thunder Tyrant

The Gaian News Channel Ψ van pulled up in front of the cathedral with a loud screech of tires, sending all the other reporters and various fans scattering. All doors opened, and the reporter and his crew poured out, following the decked out fighter as he moved to stand in front of the massive, awe-inspiring cathedral.

"This is Jonnie Ferragut here with the News Channel Ψ crew, and we're here to witness the match soon to be fought in the Durem Cathedral between Bloodfire and Team Clashing Elements - this is your Heaven or Hell footage folks, right at the source, and one-hundred-percent live!" the reporter cried while facing the mic.

Another reporter shouted angrily at the reporter who'd transported Deitric to the site of battle, but the he seemed to be ignored as the Ψ crew followed right behind Deitric.

The Khasminic tribesman groaned as he matched Kain's step, entering the cathedral, taking in the gleaming gold and colored glass windows. His own people had much simpler places of worship - he didn't quite catch on to why so many surfaces were gilt and why it looked so lavish.

"So this is it, huh? Some open space, outside of all these pillars.. And the benches up there near the altar. How long do you figure we'll have to wait?" Deitric wondered aloud as he ran a gloved hand over the marble of the nearest pillar. Too hedonistic to be a proper place of worship, he decided.

Sam coughed a bit. There he was, safely locked in his room. Drinking sparkling water. All alone. "Where... In the hell, are those three? I don't want to be left all alone." He picked up the 'FIGHTER' that had been placed in his room for him, clamping it over his stylistic metal gloves. There was a light 'tink'. "Oh, s**t." He said, pulling it off and looking at it. He pulled off his gloves and started inspecting it further- He'd busted an incredibly small syringe's needle off. "Snap, that was designed for my DNA."

He pulled out a small knife, tossing it into the air and eyeing it cautiously. He gritted his teeth, slamming the knife into his right arm perhaps a bit too enthusiastically- Shedding blood on the open syringe. The remainders of the needle popped off and the vessel closed itself. Sam was still bleeding on it. "Well, I'll probably need a bandage..." He looked around the room- Ah, a medical kit was on the wall. Exactly what he needed... And noone around to help him with this medical crap. Damn, what he'd give for Michael's help.

Defective FIGHTERS made for defective tournament entrants.

The rules had a thing or two to say about FIGHTERS, but Sam would need to see a tournament official.

Concerning potential disqualification, even if accidental and self inflicted.

The bracelet would read; 'Welcome to Heaven or Hell, Samuel Gunnar'.

However, only up to that point would the FIGHTER bracelet shut itself off and self destruct, its internals smoking out of the tiny crevices in the device, having read no vitals at all, since it was never attached to the man, it considered the participant dead and therefore unable to continue in the tournament.

((Read: HoH Manual, Post 3; HoH Battle Programe, Section 5; HoH FIGHTERs, paragraph 5:

Quote: All participants must wear there FIGHTERs at all times; it is proof of their eligibility. ))

Thus, this participant really should go see an official. It would be a damn shame for a competitor to disqualify themself for misuse of tournament equipment.

5Streea Barra

Michael stood near the entrance way to the arena, scowling in disgust. These men fought only to appease the cameras. They glorified fights where they need not be. Fights were not meant to be held for the amusement of idiots. They were to be fights to the death for honour. His head bent low, Michael began his march over to the revolting stadium.

But he would not give those people the satisfaction of seeing his entry way. Michael was not to be glorified, and so he invoked his telekinesis a little early. Light waves were easy enough to control, thus invisibility easy to obtain. With a tad of effort, Michael bent the waves around his body, assuring his invisibility to all with the naked eye. That god forsaken technology would no more notice him than a dumb deaf and blind baby.

And so Michael slumpt in to the cathedral. His bleach white hands held deep within his designer pockets, and though none saw him, he still slouched his shoulders and hung his head so that his dirty hung low and covered the vampiric face of his. He was not meant to be seen. Those who did see him oft did not see him long.

He would have to eviscerate that Samuel for ever suggesting this god forsaken tournament. Not a single source of a strong energy within here, either. Purely a waste of time.

Beautiful architecture on the cathedral however, shame it shall all come crashing down eventually. Michael stood in awe, looking upon the workmanship done to this building. He decided he was tired of bending light, and tired of standing as well. So he went to one of the seats at the very front, and claimined it as his own, as he lay right across it. If he could whistle, he would have done so.

6Fierach

It was early in the morning that James managed to arrive, later then his teammates did. He had, ah, gotten "sidetracked" by his girlfriend, which was sort of evident from the red lipstick still plastered onto his neck.

It was what he got for annoying her to borrow her car to get to the Cathedral. Damn the power of boobies over men.

He pulled up slowly toward the entrance of the Cathedral, his car almost immediately swarmed by the masses of people.

He shook himself fully awake and alert, this was no time to be feeling sleepy, and stepped outside to greet the crowd.

Now came the questions.

"Mr. Eredas, why are you late and not with your teammates?"

"Is it some sort of statement that you are making by coming seperate from them?"

"Are there in-team troubles?"

"Were you hiring a prostitute the night before?"

If it was possible, James saw red, all red, just for instant. He swiveled on the spot and grabbed the cuff of the offender with both handns and pulled him closer and bared his teeth in the reporter's face.

"What. Did. You. Say?" James spat through clenched teeth. The expression on his face was horrible. No one insults Mei and gets away with it.

"N-n-nothing sir" the man stammered before being dropped to the floor. Good enough for now. James had the presence of mind to wipe off the red lipstick still on him, briefing explaining to the cameras that he was with his girlfriend, which led to a few "Oohs" and "Ahhs", and a couple of groans from disappointed fangirls.

He'd ignore the rest and enter the cathedral looking for both teams, friends and foes.

7Kozmic Kat

Katsu kind of frowned as he walked into the cathedral, even though he didn't have any "evil" attacks, he most certainly wasn't something out of gods creation. He felt a little uneasy, his fortitude slipping slightly, but not enough for him to feel a gigantic difference. He coughed a little and spat out a little water from his lungs, usually something he had to do, because of the way he used his powers. It didn't really hurt his system at all, to do what he did, it had handled itself quite nicely many times prior.

He tiwddled with his pure blue bangs a little, then ran his hand through his spiky blue/black hair, just feeling the silky texture. He blinked, the usual white's in the human eye were pure black, his iris a lime yellow, the pupil an usual shape, it had a slight spiral to it. He had purple skin, a deep and dark purple. Out of his mouth showed one fang coming through the meeting of his lips, he usually did this as a sort of intimidation. He wore a long trench coat, the arms of the coat, cut off to show his bare arms. They had tribal markings all over them, not in any language anyone could possibly understand except someone from his birthplace, which was unlikely to ever happen in his lifespan. On his hands were claws coming from his fingertips, nothing special, just a little extra advantage in hand to hand combat. Under his trench coat he wore a black shirt, atleast thats what appeared to be there. His tench coat was belted on his chest, with about a billion belts all going from one side to the other, and looked like they were used to keep the trench coat on him, but be able to still move around with ease. He wore cloth pants that seemed to be very worn, and even had holes in the kneecaps and at the feet they were completely in rags at the back, due to him walking on them. He wore combat boots, sturdy enough to be able to take a lot of abuse, but light enough to make him able to run around easily, standard issue in the army.

He flicked up the collar on his trench coat, billions of humans in one room to watch the glory of fighting? Damned humans, always ruining great events. They cared everything for how they appeared on camera, a shame they would soon be disappointing their fans when they lost. He cared nothing for their silly rituals of trying to be famous. Katsu made his way to the front of the cathedral, getting far away from all the commotion of the other fighters arriving. He sat to the bench close to the very front, but a little off. He held his head down, his hair covering his face except for his eyes, which glistened in the light. He twiddled his fingers, cracking them and getting them prepared for battle. Waiting for battle, quite a nuisance.

8Dragosani Kain

Kain didn't bother heading all the way to the other end of the Cathedral, he still needed to wait for his te--

"Oh, good."

Deitric was almost right behind him, Kain clasped the tribesman's shoulder and gave a laugh.

"Alright, time to start this."

James was came later, but that was fine, not all of the other teams members had shown up. He...was he? Yes, he was certainly glowing...the lucky b*****d.

Two of the opposing teams members had shown up, looking less enthusiastic than Kain or the fans were and that was a shame they should enjoy this moment.

It wasn't until after James had shown up that he forgot he left his weapons on his bike. Kain got himself another smoke and headed back to the entrance, making sure to give a wide birth the crosses that popped up every now and then. 'He', in the sentient sense, wasn't Evil but his blood was still that of a devil and his skin crawled around these kinds of places. Though, he made no hint at his feelings to the place; it's all about presentation.

He hailed one of the fans and promised to take them out to lunch if they would fetch his items from his machine. With great exuberance the fan bolted through the crowd and returned shortly after, amazingly unscathed. Kain brought the fan in and found him a spot on the bleachers by their team's spot near the entrance.

So, now he was set, his dagger, which placed on his belt around his lumbar, his odachi in his right hand, and fluffy white kitten in his left.

9The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric nodded to Kain, though his eyes had still been looking around at the gold and marble furnishings. He turned back to see James and raised his hand slightly to greet his team mate.

"Good to see you made it, James," the tribesman greeted. He leaned back against the pillar he'd been examining earlier. He didn't seem particularly hyped up to fight - his features and the sound of his voice still remained slightly detached.

He cocked his head to the side and noted a rather large purple creature entering the cathedral. He obviously wasn't human, that much was for certain. But Deitric didn't have too much experience with non-humans that weren't animals, so he didn't care to speculate on his possible opponent's racial identity.

"Almost time."

10Fierach

"I wouldn't miss this for the world" James replied with a nod and sat down in one of the many rows of seats near his team.

They were just waiting on this other team now, Crashing Elements. James himself only seen two of them, they needed one more.

He let loose a great yawn and began preening himself, making sure once again that everything was in order.

"You know" he said as he looked at the FIGHTER on his left forearm. "These are pretty neat tools, hope they are durable" he commented, turning his hand every which way. He'd have to control any techniques done with his left hand.

11Dragosani Kain

"Very Durable, just don't use it as a shield."

Kain looked to his opponents opposite of his team and the entrance, wondering exactly what they were up planning. They didn't seem so social so he didn't bother to initiate conversation, besides it was too far a walk for pleasantries.

"Alright, well, before the rest of them show up just remember that this tournament doesn't condone killing your opponent; let's not get DQed in the first fight, eh, guys?"

He rested his weapon on the pillar beside him and took a drag from his fresh cigarette, petting his purring furball all the while.

12Linken24

"Just in time..." A strong, benevolent and manly voice echoed through out the cathedral. All but some eyes would be turned to the entrance by pure instinctive traits that lay dorment in the minds of all living creatures. The doors to the cathedral slowly gave way to two callused hands. The hands belonged to a shining figure, his glorious radiance seeming to shine through the doorway, only rivaled by that of the sun, or the glorious God himself. Bathed in said rivaled sunlight, the figure stepped forward on to the marble flooring. The doors closed behind the new comer, his physique slowly coming in to shape as his glorious enchantment of light faded with the sun's comforting warmth.

The figure stood at an astounding seven feet, his physique that of an athletic body builder. He wore unusual garb that showed mixed traits from Korean and Norwegian culture. A robe with it's arm cut off made of clothe with golden teather(rope made of hundreds of gold peices binded together individually for movement) accents and lining, accompanied by a cotton collar with a golden teather outerlining. The upper portion of the vest is a golden color, while a lining of golden teather cuts the gold off at the middle of the vest, leading in to a heavenly white color. A Golden Armlet on the right arm, traditional knuckle dusters, a Silver(right middle) Ring and an Onyx(left index) Ring. A white Martial artist belt accented by a golden lining in the middle and a golden buckle in the front depicting two hands held together in a Tribal manner. A sack holding assorted jewels no greater than 5 carots each. Nearly Ankle low Shorts with a half inch wedge on each side, a one inch tall golden lining on the cuffs of the shorts. An extend bottom of the vest tucked neatly under the belt. This extended bottom is revealed to be white like the bottom section, with golden flames along rising along the bottom of the robe. Black clothe shoes that rise up slightly past the ankle. No socks. The shoes have a golden line running on the front of the shoes from toe to top.

He began to stride, his left index and middle fingers grazing the very edges of the benches as he made his way down the aisle. His eyes being a beautiful mix of azure and magenta, resulting in that of an indigo like color, gleemed in the light that slipped through the stain-glass windows. He turned his head every so often to view the breath taking statues and artistic marble craftsmanship, a smile coming to his face as he gave a polite nod to each and every person within the cathedral. His "journey" ended as he had seemingly frozen in place, a broken walking cycle if you would. He suddenly dropped to his knees, and put his head to his praying hands.

He began to speak "Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen..." His words echoed once more in to the depths of the Cathedral, filling it's emptieness with the spirit of God once more. He stood, and turned to look at his adversaries. "Ask... and thou shalt recieve."

He brought his right arm up, his elbow bent and his fist clenched tight, the top of his fist level with his eyes. His eyes which had once been soft and loving, were now cold and filled with a thirst for blood. "The idea that one's conscience should produce guilt for a conscious act of sin... Is an idea that died with the old testament." A cold burst of air slammed through the cathedral at speeds of twenty five miles an hour, it's origin being the man's own arm, which seemed to pulsate as the air returned from the way it had blown, and rushed back in to his arm, forming an icey guard. "My name is Linken Seki Rocuta... I will be performing an exorcism today. For you see, we all have our inner demons... But just wait until you meet mine..."

13Samuel LaCroix

Samuel had been in luck. The desk had an extra FIGHTER in addition to the ones he had to bring in for his team. An employee helper in the hotel had reprogrammed it remotely for him- With it on the flesh of his wrist he made his way to the cathedral on bike. He was held up at the hotel by someone claiming he was dead and there was a chance he was disqualified- Sam promptly shoved him directly out of the doorway, and he was on his way.

Sam walked into the cathedral- The opposing team was just... Talking. God, how he hated this- How could they even do this? Desecrating a house of god with a fight scene? They should just have multiple normal arenas or something. It wasn't right. "Damn..." He said slowly, noticing his team. There wasn't that much of a crowd- People watching from the windows and cameras hung up, from what he could see. His hand extended out- Careful not to touch the samplers on the FIGHTERs. "I hate these bracelets. If I have to wear them so do all three of you." He said, grunting. He did of course know that Katsu probably wouldn't- He made sure to slam it on his wrist pre-emptively as he walked by, handing one over to Linken. He looked over to the side- A flicker. "********'-" He held another FIGHTER out to the flicker, Whether or not it was Michael's hand- it lifted out of his hand. He sighed, and cracked his neck off to the side for a loud effect. "Alright you lot, what's going on in here?" He looked up to the cameras. He really despised being watched always. Made sure he couldn't do anything dirty. Man that sucked.

"Screw it I don't care. Michael, you go. You're up for the first round- I guess." He said, walking off to the back of the cathedral, kneeling down to the altar to pray for a moment. He was nice and out of the way- He wasn't sure how far he had to get back from the fight. It should be good enough.

14Dragosani Kain

"God damn. Is that everyone from your team?" Kain asked as the 4th man who entered the arena.

He scritched his kittens head and puffed away on his cig.

"We're getting a bit antsy---well, maybe just Deitric and I. My man James over there already had some action."

The dirty/lucky b*****d.

15Streea Barra

Michael held the little bracelet in his hands. How he hated technology. Oh well, putting it on was just one step closer to being out of here. Michael momentarily took his hands out of his pockets, and for a moment, everything vibrated, every source of light flickering for but a moment. The surge was over nearly as soon as it started, as Michael clamped the metal object to his wrist. The sting of the needle wasn't noticed, and Michael amused himself in thinking of the programming error his DNA would cause. His hands were back in to his pockets, where they would most likely stay for a good long time again.

Samuel said something. Suggesting Michael went first. In response Michael got off his bench, and slowly shuffled his way to the aisle. He disliked fighting in a House of God. It would appear that his momentary allies thought so as well. It was just so... wrong.

Michael stood there, and looked at his opponents. Which one would be the first to rise? He decided to ask. So his 'voice' entered the minds of his opponents, and 'spoke' to them. "Which of you is to be my opponent? I have been nominated to be the first fighter in this abomination, and now I wish to know who I shall be challenging." Michael's mouth didn't move a nanometre throughout this. Finer muscle control is something you learn after living through existance. "I have but one request to whoever I fight, just one small request. Shall we not desecrate this holy place, and instead take our fight outside? If not, then I take no responsibility to damages done to this House of God."

16Fierach

Dragosani Kain Wrote:

"God damn. Is that everyone from your team?" Kain asked as the 4th man who entered the arena.

James flipped his sleeves up and over the FIGHTER he was examining, and peered over at the new entrants, scoping them out.

Dragosani Kain Wrote:

James waved and said "Yo... wait... what?"

17Dragosani Kain

"Never mind, man." He smiled at James when he missed the joke.

Quote:

"Which of you is to be my opponent...If not, then I take no responsibility to damages done to this House of God."

Since a short incident that still plagued him, Kain could not respond in kind to the intrusion.

"YOU KNOW-" He yelled across the way towards the assailant, "IT'S VERY RUDE TO SPEAK SO FREELY INTO ONES MIND."

Man, these guys were way to uptight. Kain wasn't exactly sure what that one wanted to do outside, surely they couldn't fight there, that'd constitute a ringout, no?

"Here. Hold my kitten, James." He passed the fluffy thing to his teammate and gathered his odachi by the pillar, slowly he made his way to the Cathedrals centre keeping eyes at the one who decided to enter his mind.

While he walked a transformation would take over the man, battle was afoot and Kain's infernal nature began to show itself. Horns grew from just above his temples, fangs sprouted, and, were his opponent observant enough he'd note that Kains nails also grew.

"Well, we can't fight outside that'd be...well, outside." His teeth gnashed, blood began trailing behind him, the back of his shirt becoming damp and taut. Cracks and rips could be heard becoming louder and louder. He stood now in the center of the fighting ground.

"I'm Kain, Captain of Bloodfire. Let's ROCK!"

With that the tearing intensified as a pair of 7ft leathery bat-like wings emerged from his back and peaked above his head. It was time to do this.

18Fierach

The kitten mewed as it exchanged hands, and James found himself petting the thing.

"Aw, its so cute" he exclaimed and looked into it's eyes. James was always a cat person himself. He looked up just in time to see his team's captain gearing up for war. James grinned, knowingly. He may not always agree with Kain's blood but he had to admit, Kain was a formiable opponent under any circumstances.

19The Thunder Tyrant

"You should probably let it go. It might get hurt in here - best to let it run off. It will most likely get picked up in the crowd and returned to Kain before we leave," Dietric suggested. He didn't like the idea of having the kitten around - mostly because who in their right mind would want to have a kitten at the site of a battle? Not many people could feel good about accidentally stepping on the little scamp mid-fight.

20Streea Barra

"I would not waste energy communicating like this if I had the vocal cords to speak your primitive language." Michael watched as the creature performed what he assumed was a ritual to intimidate him. Horns, teeth, wings. The creature was of devil decent Michael guessed. "My name is Michael Azrael, Agent of God." Michael's eyes darted around the room. Dispite him not wishing to harm the place, it looked as though he had no choice. Everything and anything was a weapon, if you knew how to use it correctly. "Isn't it rather foolish to send out the captain within the first fight? When you're knocked out, your team will have no one to follow, and disarray is sure to follow, ensuring victory for the rest of us. But no matter."

Michael shuffled his feet, and shook the hair from his eyes. His cold maroon eyes glared out from his white skin. "It is, as you say, time to 'rock'. You shall begin." Michael hoped that memorible paintings had been made of this place, for it wasn't going to be there much longer.

21Dragosani Kain

Well, one thing was for sure, his opponent was telepathic, surely there'd be more where that came from.

His move first? Not very original when it came to the Devil and fighting, he was always made to move first. So, he began moving, keeping a ten metre distance from the other combatant.

Kain slowly moved to the right, closing his wings closely against his back, where there was table in between the space of the pillars, and, on that table was a heavy golden coated cross. He grasped his 6'5" long weapon and spun while slashing horizontally towards his opponent, having the sheath fly off in his direction. That was mostly a distraction for his real game of completing his 360 spin and hooking his sword under on of the arms of the crosses. Depending on how his opponent dodged Kain would calculate the correct placement and catapult the thing, hopefully catching the other off guard.

[1/17]

((Edit: Bold - table for PILLARS. Otherwise the sentence wouldn't make any sense.))

22Streea Barra

Oo. A sheath. A rather long sheath for a rather long weapon. Someone was insecure about themselves. Obviously this was a test of his powers, to see how he would dodge. Powers were not needed here, only simple movements. With the object about a metre away, Michael stepped to the side, ensuring his safety. He then executed his own three hundred sixty degree turn, his foot raised high. It connected with the sheath, and with the correct about of force, Michael sent it flying right back at his opponent, who should be too busy doing his own little spin to notice. Michael placed both feet on the ground again, and waited for the next attack.

23Dragosani Kain

Hunh.

Well with the duration of going to, 360 kicking and being knocked back, the sheath would only be leaving Michaels foot before heavy cross would be arcing in to impact against his left breast and shoulder, possibly face.

Since his opponent was so focused on the sheath, the successful distraction, he neglected the cross. Great Success. It'd certainly cause some bruising, should it hit his collar bone it'd probably break, and hurt like a b***h. Oh, most definitely that.

The sheath came at Kain, and since he was facing the same direction again as it came at him, he was able to smack it to the left him with his upraised weapon.

The Devil would follow-up with a charge toward Michael, his left wing coming around his front to protect his mouth down to his waist. His odachi, firmly in his two hands, was held out to his right side. His intention was to hack at his opponent's left leg, an attack to the knee for a nasty severing, were Michaels not to move.

[2/17]

24Streea Barra

(Hm, thought you only threw the sheath, and were preparing to throw the cross afterwards. That's what it looked like in your post at the very least)

Using the symbols of God was weapons. Michael hadn't wanted to resort to it, but oh well. The cross wasn't that big of a problem. Michael exerted a miniscule amount of force on it, stopping it in its tracks. Michael couldn't help but smirk. With a mental cry of, "HOLY CROSS!" Michael levitated himself in to the air along with the massive cross, and began to swing the cross around himself at high velocities. Michael was at a high enough level that the sword wouldn't be able to reach him, but the cross was far away enough to hopefully smack his opponent right in the face. Being born a devil, the blessed object would hopefully do quite a good amount of damage to the creature.

Michael quickly focused on two of the benches behind Kain, and decided to launch both of them at him. Hopefully his attention would be at the cross, and not notice the benches, which if everything went to plan, smash in to the bones connecting his wings and break them, rendering them useless.

25Dragosani Kain

((The cross came after you dodged, it's how I posted it. Also, sorry, but after asking for further clarification and not receiving a response in a reasonable amount of time, I've got to post dude. Almost an hour is too long.))

There was a distinct "AWW!" from the audience at his opponents sudden halting of the projectile. Some even groaned with an explosion of breath after they waited in anticipation to see some classy blunt action!

Kain was watching the scene unfold before him, he was sure that the cross would hit since Michael made no hint that he saw it. Trixy.

Well, since his opponent did move...off of the ground, the sword attack wouldn't come, but Kain would jump instead, his right wing unfurling to propel him faster towards Michael. Instead, Kain would bring up his left wing up to block against the heavy cross but angled enough to not take the full brunt of the blow and send it to a pillar. Kain's wing would have flesh rendered from it from the velocity, his strength keeping his wing from bashing him the head.

With his leap he would bring his right wing, his sword moving from his right side to run along his right leg, around to connect with Michael's left ribs in a rotating wing-uppercut. With the power of his wing anything that came in between it and its target would be crushed, if a swan can break a man's arm with its wing think of what a Devil could do. Respiratory problems would arise and probably shock the intended bench attack from his consciousness.

In anycase, with the rotating upper cut Kain's left wing would be coming rotating with him. If Michael still had the keen mind to continue that attack, the Devil would have to think up something quickly....

26The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric kept his place off to the side if the fighting, idly watching as the two men duked it out. The look on his face suggested a bit of interest, but not a terrible amount. Nor did he seem particularly moved by the sounds and movements of the crowd.

He reached down, pulling out what looked to be a rather aged pocket-watch, popping it open to look inside for a moment before snapping it closed and returning it to his pocket once again.

27Streea Barra

No matter how hard the bird flapped his wings he would never be able to touch the sun. Such was the struggle of Kain for sin to god and morality itself could not seem to lay a hand on the avatar before him. The forsaken fans having the gall to boo the tool of the lord himself as he saved himself from the twirling cross. What sick creatures these people were, if it were up to him they would be beyond help but he was nowhere near as benevolent as the one he served. The invisible floor dipped out from beneath Michael sending the man straight into a free fall, his clothing flapping every which way about his body. It did not matter though, for Kain would pass overhead, his wing slicing several feet above his head hitting nothing but air.

Michael could have kept up the telekinetic attacks all day long, but the sheer speed with which Kain had rushed him and the spite he had for the beast had forced him to over extend. The benches fell to the floor with a clatter, skidding along the floor beneath him. There was no need to think about the landing though, all his mental energy extended itself towards the closest bench he could find, with a powerful mental exertion the farthest end was sent flipping into the air. Nuts and bolts crashed into stone, embedding themselves deeply as the benches now high end easily rose up to meet Kains height. If the demonic male didn't stop himself he would find himself running head first into a tree trunks worth of blessed wood like a fly hitting an electric fly swatter.

Meanwhile Michaels landing was less then gentle. He fell to his knees upon meeting the floor, the throbbing in his temples slowly fading as he dropped his control over the bench, letting inertia finish the job he had started. There was no time to rest though; god would not forgive him for showing weakness in front of his enemies, so Michael stood to the floor ignoring the ache in his knees from striking the stone of the dull groan of his side from striking the wooden bench that had slid into his path. He was ready to face Kain, whether the demon be hit or otherwise.

28Fierach

The white kitten mewed from its comfortable place atop James's head as he watched the battle. He was more interested then Deitric was, for though Kain and Deitric were his teammates, he also held a form of rivarly with them, you know, being fighters and all.

A few fans and reporters would be pointing at him with the kitty and they'd go like "THATS SO CUTE o3o!". James didn't want to let go of the cat, he didn't trust any of the crowd with it. Seriously, they could just run off with it, right?

"Think Kain's got it?" James asked intently to the vice captain.

29Dragosani Kain

The Devil had a one-track kind of mind. His opponent had just drastically changed the direction he moved and sped back to the ground...Kain's sword would be meeting him.

Since the wing was a rotating uppercut and aimed at the ribs, his opponent was very fast indeed to dodge, but it would also bring the two into a close proximity, all the Devil had to do was pushed down on his grip and his sword would branch out from along his leg.

With the speed that Michael was moving, there'd be little time to change his direction this time and fall victim to a very deep slash that would extend from from his left breast area (arm incl. if it is held by his side) to the right side of his face.

Perhaps this attack would cause Michael excess brain overload and he'd had added free-fall pain. As for the bench that came sputtering Kain's way, he wasn't expecting it but with the rotation of his uppercut, he had full view of the area and would see the thing coming. Unless the bench moved at break neck speeds after the others were issued, the Devil would have enough time to have his right wing coming crashing down right on top of the thing, showering the area below him with debris.

[4/17]

30The Thunder Tyrant

"I believe so. After all, his opponent is the one expending all his energy - even someone skilled in the use of such an ability must succumb to the costs. Eventually. All Kain has to do is keep the pressure on him and try to push through any attacks - like he is now. Of course, getting smashed with these benches must be tiring as well..," Deitric conceded. The fight seemed to be going in their favor, but then again, getting benches smashed up against you - even with a defense such as the thick, hardy wings Kain had - was going to hurt, and probably do more than a little to slow someone down in the long run. But then again, Deitric could only measure such things by human standards - and Kain was more than human.

"With any hope, this fight will end quickly. Or maybe they'll just keep uprooting pews and breaking things to clear the way for our fights."

31Streea Barra

"Flailing around twice as hard wont make up for horrible aim." Michael exhaled all the air in his lungs in the awkward equivalent of a mute sigh, possibly the first audible noise the avatar had made throughout the entire fight that wasn’t invasive into the minds of others. Poor Kain seemed to have fooled himself into thinking that if he had flailed his sword a little lower then his wing Michael might return to that spot and allow himself to be cleaved in two. Fortunately Michael had simply been dodging Kain as a whole, the wing being a mere after thought really, he had clearly given the demon too much credit. Even if Michael had waited for the last moment to dodge rather then simply dropping at the demons flight the upward rotation of the demons wing would inevitably force his body into an odd angle that would carry the blades base away from the avatars body. Did he intend to scrape Michael to death? Did he think so little of the lords tool?

So Michael sighed, having landed safely on his feet, the only difference that had come about from the demon trying to rewind and replay time itself being that Michael had simply caught twice as much of a breeze in his fall. The avatar leant his body against the wooden bench next to him, the frown clear on his face as he watched the demon spin in the air, making the inevitable recovery that twisting ones body like that in the air would require, unless Kain intended to spiral to the ground in a glorious crash landing. All the while wasting precious time that could have been used to dodge the bench that must have been mere inches away from slamming into Kains face considering he had spent the greater part of his movements ignoring it completely.

(I dodged by dropping down and not at the last second either. There was a good several feet if I remember between your wing and my head by the time I was falling, not to mention your body was twisting itself up at a diagonal angle which would mean your cut would have to have been aimed with the upper half of your blade anyways. Michael still lands safely and you just spent an entire turn ignoring half my post, including my attack. Please don’t try to puppet me so you can change your actions after they’ve been made again. It's quite rude.)

[4/17]

32Dragosani Kain

Strange that he kept missing his opponent. From Kain's understanding an uppercut was issued from under the person, perhaps there was a misunderstanding between an uppercut and a hook. If one were to move DOWN into an upper cut, would that not be like leaning into the blow?

As with the uppercut one would need to jump vertically and be within' range of his sword that had been placed along his leg. The blade was 5'5", the grip adding more inches, the arms; even more length, giving him the ability to extend to his intended target, Michael move DOWN onto it - to dodge under and above of Kain's wing and sword would rival The Flash, possibly Goku - moving backwards would've been a better move.

Unfortunate for Michael that Kain had dealt with the bench aimed for him, it was he was in rotation that he saw the thing and that he used the momentum of a missed wing attack to crush the wildly flung bench. The wing would crash down on it, accepting the pain of major bruising to send the projectile back at its initiator, the telekinetic.

[5/17]

((Read my posts. They're literal in where an uppercut is an uppercut, the difference is that I did it with a wing and took into account your ascension. If you have difficulties understanding my posts, I've already initiated communications via PM. Exploit it.))

33Samuel LaCroix

Sam looked back from his spot of praying for once- Finally noticing the mid-air combat which was all but tactical. "An agent of god versus a demon. The poetry is choking me." He murmured, grabbing onto the bandage on his right arm, pulling it off slowly. It'd probably stopped bleeding. He looked down to the altar, sighing. "Michael, just remember- The wahn too paunch." He shouted out. "The wahn too paunch!" His accent seemed like some sort of bastardized scottish assault of his own vocal chords- He stopped the accent immediately as it hurt his throat. He pulled the bloody bandage over his eyes- making a makeshift blindfold for himself. He didn't need to see the destruction of a house of god. He really didn't.

{also I have no buddha damned clue what's going on here. I didn't see you slashing before he dropped. Did you completely void your inertia?}

34The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric remained in his spot, calmly watching the bout - he understood that the fighting stage was holy ground, and as much as he respected that, he found that it wouldn't affect him too much - after all, it wasn't a lavish, clearly expensive place of prayer to his god. Not that it required such a thing.

"How much longer do you figure it'll go on for, eh?" Deitric asked, looking over to his kitten-holding teammate. He still looked pretty detached, but he was at least interested in the fight to an extent, and his eyes followed the aerial maneuvers.

[I think they're working it out in PMs, something was probably misinterpreted on both sides (as things tend to be).]

35Fierach

James didn't care about the Cathedral. An arena was an arena, to be used and exploited as the fighters pleased.

Plus, he didn't really believe in God and all of that.

"Probably for a little longer, it's only been, 3 or 4 minutes I think?" he replied. The white kitty perched on top of his head was watching the fight too. It mewed and pawed at the young man's head.

36Streea Barra

”You’ve sacrificed enough of your body to me in this match. You can go ahead and give up any time now.” Michael was quite vicious for one who worshipped the lord of forgiveness, with the exceptional amount of time the duo seemed to have spent in the air the pulse tearing his skull in half had subsided to but a dull tone that could easily be flung to back of ones mind. The avatar of god would shift to the side, stepping away from the bench that he had used to counter-balance his body.

Kain had done quit well, if one considered being a persistant annoyance to be quite well, but his attacks had been for naught. Sacraficing his wing in order to block the cathedral bench had only been his last mistake, leaping into the air and simply hanging there had been the first. Even as the original bench teetered back, shattered by the powerful swing of the demons wing, it slammed to the opposite wall. Michael would exert his mental energy on the bench next to him, the farthest end of the bench would fling into the air, in hopes of plowing into the free-falling Kain before he could regain his height.

Should Kain allow him, Michael was in for a rather interesting game of pinball, with his demonic opponent as the ball.

(Glad we got this all cleared up. Now lets party.)

[5/17]

37Dragosani Kain

Beginning his fall back to the ground, his body perpendicular with the ground from his wing attack. Indeed the Devil only half expected another bench to be coming up his way.

::DAMMIT.::

He'd have no choice this time, having failed his previous attacks he'd gained no time or momentum in the fight, and would have to brace against the quickly moving object. Luckily for the Devil his left wing was still around his chest area and would assist in the impact. The bench connected with the wing, snapping two of his metacarpals (I, II) and sending the air from his lungs. With that he couldn't be ready for the other end of the bench that would be crashing into the right side of his face, opening up his brow, corner of his mouth, and deeply bruising his cheekbone. He could taste the blood as it poured into his mouth from the damage his teeth had caused.

There was a cry from an audience member from the stands in savage protest at the attack. He was hushed by the rest and was promptly seated again. Unblinking eyes gazed forward once again.

He grunted at the attack and forced a smile, finally his opponent was getting through and that this fight was finally heating up, much like the air around him. Kain's body grew warmer while he tumbled onto his left side in his fall and his belt shook from the tremor to his body.

The Devil had no choice but to fall, he'd accept the impact to the floor, but he had to concentrate on the area around him, anything can happen with a Telekinetic.

"Would you just pass out so I can end this blasphemy?" Michael cracked the joints of his fist loud enough one might think some foundation was fracturing. The thin demi-divine didn't bother to move his body, merely levitating his bodice across the ground to stand in front of the archway in. As soon as his feet were on the ground, instead of a bench he opted for something smaller. The wall to his right started to crackle and fragment around a certain stone brick. Within a few moments of this it was ripped out of its position, and hovered next to his head. "I'm going to give you the option now. I don't like fighting in a domicile of angels, upper management is a real b***h."

Waiting for a response from Kain, the stone brick still floating and rotating around in mid air a meter away from Michael's head. His eyes were focused on him, not about to waste any energy when the fight wasn't of his own will.

[6/17]

40Dragosani Kain

"ERG!"

He fell hard on his left shoulder and wing, the broken bones in it shooting the pain into his back.

::Nothing's shooting at my face....that's good---"

"Would you just pass out so I can end this blasphemy?"

Goddamn that was getting annoying. Kain picked himself up, his opponents movements and actions giving him plenty of time to do so, keeping a careful watch on him as he brought out a brick(?) from the wall.

Kain's right eye was greatly swollen, nearly shut, it was purple and seemingly pulsating. His left wing shook a little bit but held strong, his head ached from the smack, blood dripped along the right side of his face and mouth. He looked worse than he felt, this fight wasn't nearly as over as his opponent may think. Kain wasn't the one expending so much mental exertion, Michael had to be feelin' it soon, the Devil would think.

Back to the fight, Kain raised his left hand and clawed at the swollen area to drain the blood, giving him back full view with his eye again. Bah, a brick wouldn't stop this man, Kain held fast to his sword and began walking towards Michael.

"No no no no no NO no no no no. But, I really think we should start fighting and stop with the bench pressing. Rock tossing doesn't make you anymore awesome."

It was all Michael this time, Kain was just bringing up the heat. And, it would be getting much hotter, not just from his sexy beat up look that had ladies in the stands fawn over, but the actual temperature in his vicinity.

[7/17]

41Streea Barra

Michael broke his perfectly calm, if not incredibly cocky exterior by spreading his mouth open into a disturbing, intimidating grin. His eyes following suit by opening, pupils dilating into tiny dots. To the right of the godly man- The brick began to spin in the air on an axis, as if he were preparing to launch it fast and hard, even easier if it was spinning around fast enough. At the same time, his hands were still in his pockets. However, his left leg took a single step forward, putting him in a nice balanced stance. And making more of the outside visible from behind him. And speaking of the outside, he had enough capacity to start flinging the stones laying nearby in from the archway around himself, sending them speeding at his demonic opponent.

The stones were flying for Kain at a speed only a bit slower than how Michael could throw them with his own arm, and they were being fired from behind him in the fives. Though not terribly fast, they were numerous out from behind him. One of them caught his own hair, sending it flying up a bit. Michael took notice quickly and twitched just a bit out of stance.

Wait...didn't people mass outside of the door? No no no, Michael would've arced the rocks over them...hopefully. >.>;;;

::...christ...::

Kain contracted his wings around himself, his right in front of his injured left, while he was being pelted with ****** ROCKS. This guy was being a b***d, a cheeky one that had red hair, freckles and an abusive step-father.

Sure he was getting twacked but at least his leathery appendages protected his torso, taking the brunt of the attacks and suffering a large gash on the right wing that bled like a mah'fuggah.

He would move forward none-the-less, barely dodging a flat stone to his face...that one would've taken OUT his eye. He would be getting closer to Michael at a steady pace except about 7 metres away where he would get cracked in the left knee and shin with fair sized rocks, buckling his leg. It would throw him a bit off balance and cause a rogue stone to slip through his wing encasement and crack at his right hip.

::This' ridiculous::

Various wounds would open up on on his wings, giving them an even more grotesque look. A bleeding flap of flesh. Well, it'd be a fun to quickly lash out his wing (right) towards Michael and litter him in Blood, a nice strip of it would fly from the particularly gruesome wound and mess up that pretty outfit. His hope was to get some in his opponents eyes to blind him.

STRIKERUUUUUU- OFFENSE

44Linken24

Linken slapped the Fighter on this his bare arm, and flipped a tiny switch. Legs swayed a bit, brows narrowed, he would begin a quick sprint to the undamaged side of the church, where it appeared Kain's fellow team mates were watching the on-going fight. Soon afterwords he would thrust fourth his right arm and left leg. His head tilted down with the sudden movement, a rush of cold air thrust forward in the direction of the fight. The ground seemed to shake and the statues and pillars appeared to rumble with the might of Linken's single thrust. His open hand which had been extended to a point as he thrust forward his arm had slowly begun to bend at the wrist, and take the form of a claw, or as best a human could have to a claw.

His claw shaped hand slowly started to rumble as did the statues. The Holy Water within the bowls that had been plastered upon the walls had slowly begun to rise out of said bowls. In a beautiful dance, the water rushed in to Linken's open claw, floating a mere three inches away from his palm. The Holy liquid spun in what seemed to be an 'X' formation, dancing more now that it was closer to Linken. His head slowly began to rise from his tilted perch, and his eyes were revealed to be glowing a heavenly light blue. His lips parted, his breath was visible, and words began to creep from his mouth. "Michael... Do what you will with this demon... and accept this gift from our Lord!"

His last few words triggered a pseudo explosion from Linken's hand, the water being sent fourth to splash directly on to Kain's overlapping wings, one of which had been opened to throw... blood? The water that had been sent splashing in Kain's direction would easily glide in the air just as quick as the raining blood, if not quicker. What little blood had been tossed would be eradicated by the Holy essense of the water, being born of a demon. The demon himself was not spared however. Only a small portion of the water had made contact with the blood. The rest would easily land on Kain's wings and possibly his now exposed body.

With a mere two seconds remaining in Linken's Striker Assisst, he clamped his hands together in a praying manor, and as if done by magic, the water would flash freeze in it's new place. It would be a miracle for Kain's wings not to be completely frozen and shattered by the still rappid-firing stones. Sadly for the demon, Miracles only come to those who worshipped and would do their job for the Lord. Demons can do no such thing. "Start praying to Lucifer you foul beast." His two seconds were up, and returned to his post at the front of the cathedral, slowly but surely.

Michael didn't flinch. He merely put his index finger up to his mouth, covering it even though it wouldn't move as he laughed. Psionically, of course. "Gehahahahaha..." The avatar clenched his fist. "What's wrong? Got cold feet?" He looked to his right, the brick still spinning in mid-air. With the light shining in behind him and noone but Kain being able to hear what the avatar was 'saying', it merely looked like he was posing for the crowd. And what a pose, he wasn't even in any sort of battle stance. Merely a cocky smirk and a relaxed pose. The cameras outside started snapping bright lights from behind him as the demi-divine looked to be taking the lead. "Oh, do you hear that?" "Michael! Michael! Michael!" Cried out a few in the crowd. "I hope they're getting my good side... They certainly aren't seeing yours, demon."

Kain didn't need any more small rocks thrown at him, Michael ceased and desisted. That brick was still hovering there though, it was merely enjoyable to rub it in a bit. Psychological attacks did good damage, too. "It's not like they really like posterboys anyway... You're something of a product to them." He kept laughing in his mind, psionically announcing "This fight is almost over. Finish up your popcorn."

52Dragosani Kain

On Kain's blood - skin strip - splatter he felt the rumblings of the place around him, he figured it was the other trying to pull something else with his telekinesis. His attack was loosed ---

Quote: "Michael... Do wha---"

:smilies/icon_exclaim.gif:

That was behind him--STRIKER! Well, what a waste to alert Kain of his presence. The Devil would go into a dead run towards Michael, thankful that he decided against the continuation of the stoning. But, just as Kain would make his first step he'd get showered with holy water.

With the added movement and time the Striker gave him from talking, the aim would be off, but the pain would be horrible. The 'X' pattern would land more so on the lower right side of his body. His wing would take the most, his skin sizzling from the blessed water, a hole formed where the crossing of the two streams met, his right hip bubbled as did a line that crossed along his back to his left shoulder. The bubbling would intensify against the sanctity of the place and would have muscle tissue exposed to the light.

The shock jolted the Devil further towards his opponent, his beastly cry given explicitly to Michael, the heat building much more in him.--

Quote: the water would flash freeze in it's new place Kain's muscles would contract, however, briefly and send him to his knees. The rising temperature was becoming enough though to melt the nasty frostbite and have it just run along his untouched skin with a burn. That was a sight, he actually began to steam from the water.

So, Michael was the fool and stood there braying like a hyena? Sure, some of the holy water got the blood, but not his flesh. And, since nothing was done about that it would land on Michaels chest.

Quote:

  • Blood Mine - Where Kain's blood is, there's chance of explosion or fire. His blood is power and a conduit for his fiery energy. Through telepathic communication and energy transference, provided there is blood spilled from Kain's body, he can have the splatter, puddle, pool, etcetera blow up, like a bomb

Michael would be unpleasantly surprised as he feel something close to a solid punch to his left ribs as the bloodflesh exploded. The damage was not much but it'd get his attention real quick and it wouldn't feel very good. He'd be completely unprepared, wasn't even worried about the strip hurtling towards, didn't even make an effort to dodge. Without such preparation he could expect a nice bruise to form out of that, possibly take his breath away, if it weren't for the surprise alone.

Kain would take advantage of that and would thrust with his sword to hit just left (Michaels) of his midsection to stab him and keep him in his place.

[9/17]

((EDIT:: Clarification - in bold))

53Streea Barra

Michael's heart hopped a beat or two. If it was beating at all, Michael could never tell whether or not it was. He jumped off the side of the door as soon as he could... Which was not quite soon enough. He took one half-step back, blood smearing over his rather dashing suit. Blowing a hole in it and severely bruising multiple of his ribs and bursting sporadic parts of his skin. As if that wasn't enough, he'd thought he had the advantage. That he could just kill him at a whim if so it was wished. Fighting, Michael didn't like being equal or losing in a fight. And that is exactly why; That was his private thought as a blade rammed directly into his gut, he didn't have many major organs compared to others, but a few were hit.

Kain had got him. He'd got him good. His mind slipped, the brick next to him simply misfired into the floor, drilling a hole in it a yard or two deep. He was reaching out for air, pulling it into his lungs with his mind faster than he could even breath. His eyes were bulging out of his skull. He could feel the sheer heat radiating off the bleeding, torn up Kain. The avatar of god faltered his pose enough for the sword to avoid the wall, only ramming through him and himself alone. It nearly hit a reporter though. Michael pushed her back. He clenched his eyes shut, pulling them back into normal place. He was at the very edge of the ring, the end of the line.

Michael's eyelids ripped open into a glare. A psychic scream was let out "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" Was the closest thing to what was going off in everyone within a few yards' heads. His mouth clenched shut into a flat line. He was focused now, past the pain, past the blood leaking onto the blade, seeping into the grit of the stone. His hands remained in his pocket, he focused on Kain's feet, the very area below him. At the very peek of mental energy focused through rage, pain, disgust and anger he unleashed with all his mental energy a slanted push, worth a few hundred pounds of force. Which would more than likely send Kain flying over him in what could be described as a psychic suplex.

54Fierach

James scoffed. Kain's opponent seemed a little too cocky indeed. He'd be better off as an actual paladin versus a demon like Kain, rather then a weak man that relied too much on telepathic abilities. Get into the glory world of blood and guts like the real tried and true fighters, and anything was possible.

His hand twitched involuntarily. James hoped that the rest of Team Clashing Elements weren't such egotistic wussies, or he'd be bored, really bored.

Meanwhile, the kitty hissed at the other team and then resumed pawing at James's hair.

55Dragosani Kain

"BLOW THE s**t OUT 'EM, KAIN!" The spectator that was riled to give Michaels a piece of himself before finally got his reprieve through that attack. The audience jumped to its feet now, cawing wildly and throwing their fists in the air. THIS WAS IT.

::AH HA!::

Once that blade hit sweet flesh that Devil boy twisted, opening the wound more.

"AHHHH!?"

Kain didn't have to do any work this time, just to hold on. His legs would go out from underneath him and bring him over Michaels for a...SUPLEX!?!? But, OHHHH would Kain's opponent ever hear a SNAP. Kain's sword was embedded in the man' belly, tearing a wider wound...and since the blade ran him through and narrowly missed that reporter, to which she and several other doorway spectators vacated the area, the weapon's blade would be cutting down to the Michael's pelvis while the blunt edge of the blade would press against his ribs, from the shear force that he was being used his floating ribs would surely break.

Being tossed over for a suplex Kain's back would slam into the archway, expelling his breath with a grunt and loosening his grip on his weapon. His body would drop down headfirst, but not before raining blood from his opened wounds down below, and, from a suplex stand point, that'd shower the man below with more of Kain's blood.

Kain would brace as best he could against the fall with his left wing and arm, but he'd still be seeing stars and broken left horn.

56The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric blinked - but didn't cringe. He'd seen blood and gore and war and this single fight didn't approach that, but the warrior had rarely seen such brutality in a one on one match - he was a fairly efficient and rough fighter himself, but he'd seen very little in comparison to what just happened, with the stab and air-suplex. He could hear what he thought must've been ribs cracking - it might've been either fighter, or both.

"I haven't given these people enough credit..," Deitric decided - he hadn't expected very much of the pale-faced Gaians - after all, he had faced similar foes before, foes who ran when they bled and when their guns couldn't be reloaded fast enough before a brave was upon him, removing scalp or head in a flurry of crimson.

The warrior sensed that the battle was going to be over soon - for both fighters, given the injuries both were sustaining - and quietly pulled the shield from his back propping it up against the pillar before doing the same with his spear. He left his other weapons on his person, though. They were what he wanted - not his spear and shield. They weren't what he needed for his coming match.

Too merciful.

"If you will indulge me, James, I'll fight next - against their captain. You should fight the one who uses the ice - it would be interesting, neh?" the tribesman spoke in his quiet, detached - almost cold - voice as he idly began to stretch, his turquoise eyes still watching the fight throughout his warm-up movements.

57Fierach

"All the same to me" James said. He winced slightly. That looked like it just downright hurt.

Getting stabbed was bad, but did he just try to flip Kain over?

While the devil was holding onto his own sword that was impaled inside the telepath?

Ouch.

James didn't mind bloodsport, all real combat was bloodsport, as long as the opponent was concious, you could use any means to change that condition. But he'd be damned if he let it faze him for long. His family hunted malicious demons, after all.

58Streea Barra

Michael winced. "You..." Shouting out psionically, not specifically. To everyone. Thank god he only used a few organs at a time. With Kain disoriented, Michael spun around him, Sword still inside of him, he was bleeding profusely. His eyes squinted enough for him to make out a clear target through the sweat running down his brow. A blood vessel just spontaneously bursted on his scalp, dying his hair a shade of red. The godlike man really did love this suit. But he did also like living. He made a mental focus of his clothes, eviscerating them instantaneously and throwing them all off to reveal a damascus steel pattern unitard, the disorienting patterns only broken by that large blade.

Michael glared at Kain again, pushing against him again. Not tilted to hit anything. But to launch him out the door completely with another similiarly powered push. "Dumb..." He kept the pressure this time. Like a constant gale of force and raw kinetic energy streaming from his mind to Kain out the door. Bleeding was none to becoming of him. A flash of insight came to him; He jump up into Kain with the sword still in his body, essentially trying at hilt jabbing him in the gut. But it would have also made some thing of a... Psionic magnet between the two. "a*****e. Can you direct that blood's explosion?" He was now trying to push the both of them out the door. The crowd saw this early, stopping their chanting almost immediately to clear a path for the two.

59Kozmic Kat

Katsu, had for the duration of the fight, sat on a bench off to the side, almost falling asleep. He would fight third, if it got that far, which it wouldn't, their team would win twice, and move on. From what he understood, the fights were a best two out of three, with one alternate. So a team with four memebers could switch one person for another, if they knew enough about the other team to know their fighting style. Droll really, this was joked about amongst the team as the, "Warm-up Match." The crowd cheered for the other team, and the fans all thought that they would win, sadly enough they would be put in their place by Clashing Elements. He had closed his eyes the entire fight, being in a church, not a very ideal location for Katsu, it had made him a bit sleepy. He actually fell asleep for the first part, and he was enjoying his little nap, however a striker happened, which made him look up. He kind of quirked an eyebrow, how an impact of pure holy water did not instantly just go threw him and sheer off a leg, or anything of that sort was beyond him. He was a demon himself, and he knew that being touched with that stuff was more than enough to give him severe enough burns to make his movability greatly weakened. However, he was some sort of super demon, able to bypass holy things. Odd, thought predictable.

Katsu sat up, yawning looking intently at his fighter when all the gore was occurring, tearing and slashing, whatever was actually going on. He looked back up when Michael made his attack, kind of chuckled and looked back at his fighter. There was no way they'd win, it was pitiful to think otherwise.

((Okay listen. We're moving at a pace of 3.5 posts a days... We have four days now to do two more fights. At this pace? It'd take another two or three days for this fight to end, and then we'd only have two days to do two fights. Pick up the God damn pace Bloodfire. -_-))

63Dragosani Kain

Disoriented? Maybe if he had hit the ground, got dazed and THEN got shot out the door he would be. The smack into the archway was just painful.

The Devil's rage would fuel him on, much like the bleeding Michael and he'd feel the power of being pushed again...he could only wonder why Michael just didn't pick him up from the beginning and start tossing him around.

::Heh::

Obviously the man was upset to do something so cowardly as to attempt a ring out.

Kain saw the small man leap towards him with blade in...gut. Fawk that, Kain wasn't about to let himself get stabbed by his own weapon. DENIED.

Quote: Jet Stream - Kain creates a linear cylindrical stream of fire from his body.

A burst of flames would erupt around Kain and concentrate into a single spot at his chest where it would spiral forth. The tube was the size of a volleyball and strike at Michaels right breast, and, since Kain was upside down attacking upwards, the attack would throw both combatants in opposite directions; Kain to the ground and Michael to the top of the archway. To a man in dancers outfit too...that's embarrassing. Michaels neck and face would no doubt feel the pains of 2nd degree burns, his right breast, however, would be taking 2 seconds of iridescent red Devil fire.

From all of this exertion Kain's limbs felt fatigue, his lungs burning from the abuse.

Michael was also making this very difficult not to kill him, that last attack to his torso was an accident, Kain didn't expect to be flung over of the man's body with a sword still in him...that was just silly on his part. Nevertheless, this battle was over, too much punishment was given to the 100lbs human man. Unless he really was a godsman and miracles were not unknown to him. Then again, he wasn't a beaten Devil with not a lot of energy left in him, Kain couldn't handle much more of this.

64Samuel LaCroix

Samuel shook his head, coughing at the altar before he rose, turning around. "Well, I just got god's permission to kick a** and take names. You know, like the pope only it isn't genocide" He said, grinning malevolently over to the other team captain. "When is this fight over, and how does he keep doing that? Nulling out random things that is." He rubbed his chin to it, clanking heard on his right wrist. "I mean, could've sworn I saw a psionic shockwave around the two like some sort of binding" He said, nodding. "Yeah. I am definitely picking up resonant psi cascades."

(no srsly, stop skimming.)

((Srsly. I like that you posted and you're in the fighting spirit, but if you're not even gonna pay attention because of a tl;dr post, then you shouldn't be in this tournament. [It's Streea's fault, not Kain. Kain's been on consistently for most of the day. In fact, all of my team has been on for most of the day - every day. Why do you think I've had to constantly b***h at Sammi to get Streea on so we could finish the fight.

Want it to go faster?

Get him online more consistently. And then, once that fight is over, the rest of you can start posting consistently too.

End of discussion. And let's cut the OOC - it isn't needed or even warranted. It's just cluttering the thread.]

Deitric continued to watch the fight with only the same faint glimmer of interest. By now, he had warmed up as much as needed, and stood merely with his arms crossed over his chest, waiting.

67Streea Barra

Michael stopped. Freezing his mind so that his body could react cadently. The fire licked his chest, making him cringe in pain before his right hand finally popped out of its pocket. He didn't have much strength. Stamina, but not strength. He focused on ripping that sword out of his chest- He didn't need a heat conductor in the middle of fire. It ripped out quickly enough, leaving a fair sized hole in his chest which the fires served to cauterize rather quickly before Michael put his hands back into his pockets, holding the sword in between himself and the fires. Re-orienting himself to stand on the sword against the fires. The fires had served a purpose. They ended his pain rather quickly and stopped him from bleeding out.

Thank the lord for poorly thought out tactics. Michael leapt off the sword, consciously reorienting it to Michael to cut straight down the stream of fire as Michael touched down on the ground rather softly. Turning around to Kain he grinned. "Are you rusty, or something?" The divine man exhaled quickly in another pseudo sigh. "Thank you for fixing up my wounds, by the way. The bleeding was a real b***h."

(I'm always online. I just don't honestly care too much for gaia. Too faggy for my tastes.)

[No more unneeded OOC in the thread, Fie. If you want to discuss anything, just do so in the Spectator's thread.]

Deitric wondered where the kitten had gone. Was James still holding onto the little thing?

Stop sticking up for your team leader and let him speak. It's nice to see you have eachother's backs, but grow some skin.))

70Fierach

James hadn't been holding onto the kitten, it was holding onto him.

"Mew" it purred softly.

It was hard to make out James's expression though, through the bishounen curtain of bangs.

There'd be more then one fangirl writing a yaoi about all of the hotter guys of the HoH tournament together tonight.

[Lulz. You make me laugh Linken. But yeah, thats enough OOC for now]

71Dragosani Kain

Well, Kain hit the ground, again with a grunt, but he expected the impact there. He would tumble back and hit something hard; his motorcycle.

He looked forward and saw that Michael had somehow stopped a gout of fire that was meant to push the man back, ripped the blade out and blocked the stream with the sword, not being affected at all by the push. Impressive indeed. He really was the tool of God, the actual conduit and successor of his power.

...Cauterizing his wounds? The hell, Kain thought he had stabbed the man on the left hip and shot the stream at Michaels right breast. The Devil had to quit smoking or he just got pelted with too many rocks today.

Bah - he would set off his blood mine again. Kain's wounds had rained down on the one below when he was at the archway, no doubt, landing some on his head. The impact would be more like a full scalp head smack. That'd make the man see stars, all things considered, it'd probably frizz up his psychic abilities for a short time.

Kain would hop on the bike, start her up then speed back to the Cathedral entrance.

That's where the fight was to take place and that is where it should be.

[12/17]

72The Thunder Tyrant

[It is now the fifth day of the tournament. There has been a one day extension, but it's still the fifth day, and as such I'm invoking the right to start another fight given that it doesn't look as if this one will end any time soon with Streea not posting.]

Deitric was tired of waiting. He reached down, gloved fingers gripping the resin-coated wooden haft of his tomahawk, pulling it from the belt-loop with a deft tug as he stepped forward. The fight was far down the length of the cathedral, near the entrance, he was standing somewhere between there and the altar, no obstructions except for the colonnades on both sides, rows of pillar marble.

The warrior pointed his tomahawk at Samuel, the look on his face still well detached and grim in its visage.

"You--"

He pointed the tomahawk's axe-head back at himself--

"--and me. No strikers, a straight fight between warriors. Hm?" Deitric stated, giving the hatchet-like weapon a quick spin before holding it down by his waist again, his right hand gripping the belt-buckle at his waist and them some above. He let the challenge hang, eying the other man stonily.

73Fierach

The kitten started to lick at James's head, . The young warrior didn't know whether it was showing affection or trying to groom itself and failing horribly.

"Hey!" he shook his head slightly and the adorable thing mewed. "Stop that or I'll dunk you in the holy water." he threatened half-heartedly. Thankfully, the kitten seemed to understand his words, and settled for just curling up on James's head and going to sleep.

Now he looked like he was wearing a turban. Great. The Eredas heir wondered when would be his chance to kick some a** as he watched Deitric step forth and challenge their captain. This should be fun.

Silent footsteps crept up behind this seated man, as a young girl eased her way over. Without a sound, a smile would ease its way across her lips as she carefully plucked the kitten from his head. With wide eyes, she studied the creature for a few moments before holding it snug in her arms to keep it warm. Twas a cutie, indeed.

75Dragosani Kain

The fans inside of the Cathedral were going WILD! Some people scrambled over others to see outside of the doors if they could, others just looked up to the viewing screens placed behind the pillars; Spectator side.

"C'MON YOU'VE GOT HIM ON THE ROPES, KAIN!"

"HE'S BLEEDIN' BAD - GIVE IT TO'EM!"

"ERRR- GET YOURSELF TOGETHER! YOU'RE NOT THAT HURT YOU PANSY!"

Peoples raised fists for blood were pumping with full bloodlust.

This was happening.

76Samuel LaCroix

Samuel sighed into his hand, shaking his head. "Fine fine-" He looked over to the other teammates letting some random person in. "Only if she's safely out of the way- That means out of the building. Chances are, with two fights shaking down at the same time this entire cathedral just might shake down with it." He said. He let his right hand down to his waist, shaking it around. Out from his long white sleeves shot twinblades hanging over his wrist. A mere 5 inches in front of his fist was the tip. "In fact, most of these spectators shouldn't even be in here. My attacks are rather blurry on the aiming- I don't give a damn about the sheep, but I don't want a card." His eyes shifted over and around the entire inside of the cathedral.

He steped onto the altar with that. "In light of that- Everyone." His voice got a damned lot more booming. "Get. The ******** out. There will be a lot of casualties if you all don't evacuate the building." He wasn't honestly insinuating his capabilities were that powerful- He'd noticed through a window a lot further down the road a giant dragon bursting out of nowhere. No no, he wasn't quite that good. His aim was... Rusty. "Haven't fought for a few months- If you'll excuse me..."

Samuel cracked his neck from side to side to quite a loud extent. A large amount of people cleared out through the back exit to see the coverage from the cameras instead of risking their lives. A few stayed. Sam threw a few quick jabs into the air, a flash kick. And then when he was staid in a basic martial arts stance he did a fullout uppercut flipkick, landing off the altar. "I'm ready."

77Kozmic Kat

Katsu again, had fallen asleep, snoring quite loudly in fact. He was saving up his energy, so if he would be fighting, the effects of this citadel wouldn't be wearing him down as much, if not at all. He picked up something quite interesting though, two fights at once? How intriguing, quite the good idea indeed. What mostly got him up, was Sam's voice to the crowed. He agreed with every word he said, spectators could get themselves killed, they should be watching from safe distances on cameras, not right in the middle of everything. In addition to that rule, he thought that spectators walking directly into the fight was dangerous as well, it could get very confusing. He decided to walk over to Linken, quite full of energy once again. He looked at him, asking him point blank, "I want James, it doesn't look like Streea is going to win. If you want to fight that much, I'll let you have him but, it just seems more like something I should take." He didn't hate James, nor did he find him to be a giant threat, he simply wanted fight him, maybe because he had the advantage, maybe just because he wanted to stretch his legs, it wasn't certain. "However, again, I can wait for my fight, if you want it more than me, you can have it. I can always take another nap." He said, with a yawn and a stretch.

78The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric nodded in agreement to the other fighter, taking a look around. It wouldn't be good to have a bunch of people wandering around during the fight.

"You heard him - either go up against the wall and watch, or amongst the pews, or outside once the other two fighters move from the entrance - we do not want anyone harmed," Deitric raised his voice when he spoke, and the crowds began to disperse with both the fighters suggesting it.

"You may start whenever you like, since Kain started the other bout," Deitric said, offering a slight nod. The girl would be safe standing behind James - he'd make a plenty fine body shield, in any case.

79Fierach

James was talking to the girl, with a rather stern expression on his face.

"What are you doing here V? You know its not safe here. Go with the crowd. Shoo"

He paused, and then added, with a rather comic face.

<(>_<)>

"And stop playing with Kain's kitty! Leave him! D="

80Samuel LaCroix

Samuel nodded, sending his shoulders back in a mock shrug. "Fine, fine. Let's not drag it on like jalapeno breath and mutey mcgee over there." He slammed his right knuckle into his own palm, producing a nice if not incredibly disturbing "CRUNK". He looked around the cathedral place. Ceasing to care about desecrating a house of god. If you're going to show off for the fans might as well do it in a rather badass way. He bobbed his head randomly, his entire body bobbing up and down and everywhere around in tandem, perfect cadence, no latence with the rest of his mind, moving as one. "Ever heard of Kaotic fighting?" He said, his voice still nice and booming for the cameras. He liked fighting, but showboating was fine too.

"It's popular- In the underground scene." His right hand flew back behind the rest of his body, his leg hopping along to follow it into a shoulder diagonal stance. The front of him started dancing a bit more like a mosh- Jerking constantly rather than smooth, undilated motion. And to counter that the back of his stance was flowing perfectly- Smooth motions, airy waves and a strange beat to his entire body. The beat reached out a bit, from his motions alone it was like he was making music into reality. He wasn't dancing to music - He'd paid up an audio tech just outside to start playing a song when he'd started fighting. - The music was dancing to his motion.

Samuel grinned widely. "And it just so happens that it's also incredibly acrobatic." He noted out loud as his back leg kicked out from under him and his right leg kicked down sending him flying in a fast path for a column, his right arm clasping onto it and letting go long enough for him to spin around and place his feet both on the column, curling himself up into a ball against the column to fully launch himself- reorienting back into a ball in mid flight- Turning into a humanoid cannonball.

81Streea Barra

”The house of the lord has no place for your kind so be a good doggy and stay out!” The telekinetic voice was a literal roar in the minds of all around the Cathedral. Several fans would let out shrieks of pain as the blood in their brain began to vibrant violently, the liquid in their ears giving them the worst pop of their sheltered lives. Michael’s partners were fighters, despite the insults being flung at them from the other bench, such a simple thing as a headache wouldn’t stop them in their tracks. Sadly, Michael had to admit that Kain was also a warrior, a little numbness in the ears wasn’t going to stop the biker demon. It was desperation.

Blood exploded all across Michael’s body as another psionic shriek of rage forced its way out of the avatars mind. Still Kain seemed unable to grasp Michael’s physiology, after seeing a sword run him all the way through you’d think even a demon would get the hint. Michael’s body was comparable to a puppet, the only pulling the strings however laid inside, as long as the body wasn’t dealt too heavy an impact the consciousness would remain. That meant blowing some skin off the jesus-freaks scalp was going to do s**t. The body would keep going until it collapsed.

Kain wasn’t even a fourth of the way back to the cathedral when Michael returned to the topic at hand. His minds hand reached out for the motorcycle, but it was too heavy, the front wheel wasn’t however. The bikes front wheel would rear back into the air, if Kain was lucky he would get bucked off the seat, otherwise Michael would keep on pushing the demon might find himself crushed beneath his own motorcycle. The sin to god was tough but not that tough.

What a fool. Trying to show off to the crowd and ride a motorcycle back in when he had a completely healthy pair of wings to carry himself on. A pair of wings that Michael was incapable of touching.

(If Michael keeps Kain out this post then one more post left till Kain loses to a ring-out. Regardless Michael will collapse in two turns for ignore his bodies wounds. Whether Kain is counted out, killed, or gets back in.)

[12/17]

82The Thunder Tyrant

Suffice to say, Deitric was more than a little surprised at the attack - it wasn't exactly what he was expecting. However, he knew how to meet it in kind. His opponent's previous show of dancing hadn't affected him either, but then again, he wasn't the sort of man that appreciated such things. He didn't answer his opponent's question either, but the silence and the look on his face was an obvious "no" answer.

When his opponent bounded off the white marble pillar, the warrior launched himself into a hard push - right for his opponent. He wouldn't have time to move fast, but the explosiveness of his initial push off was what he wanted - the suddenness and speed of his take off.

Just before it looked as if the turquoise eyed warrior would take a human-sized punch to the stomach, Deitric would launch himself into the air as well.

Feet first.

He'd thrown himself into the air feet first, aiming the scuffed, black biker boots for his opponent's airborne form. The smash wasn't going to be pleasant for either of them - if it landed, Deitric would be knocked back and hit the marble on his back, something that wasn't going to be an easy landing at all for the tribesman, and his opponent's flight would be halted and drop him to the ground as well. If the blow struck, Deitric would feel some pain in his legs when he tried to arise afterwards - his knees popping from the sudden pressure and release.

[EDIT:: Forgot to add the little post number thing. Nothing else has been changed.]

83Dragosani Kain

Well snap.

The wheel reared up, but the Devil would hold on, much to his own dismay when the thing would come crashing down on top of him.

This was it, nothing else he could do; The Devil was spent. He would skid along the ground with his bike on top of him, his chest taking the full impact of the handle bars to outer parts of his ribs, breaking them. His hands were smashed and deeply bruised, the skin on the back being shredded from the ground. His pelvis was also in horrific shape with several breaks, killing the structure of it.

He'd slide across the ground pinned and badly broken. Regardless what the other might've thought his wings were very damaged, the fatigue would be too much to move them anyway. Kain didn't have a choice but the push himself away from the handlebars.

This fight was over, if not by ringout alone.

From the push to the outside it would've been roughly 2-3 seconds, 2 seconds from the jet stream, another three for crawling up on to his bike and starting it up, over 3 seconds for the bike to rear and crash down onto the Devil and sliding. Even if Michael moved now, it'd be too late.

Kain was making a mad dash to avoid ringout, not to be flashy...though it was a killer wipeout. The Devil's grimacing features would look to the spectators and cameras that now wavered in his vision, breaking them a bloodied but toothy smile.

Sam happened to be in exactly the right rotation to land a**-first into the blow, giving an incredible shock up his spine. He unthinkingly shouted out "!$#% MUFFIN $@*(ING A PAN!" He shouted out, censored by almost all channels except the one australian one. Those silly aussies and their grade A Television filled with swearing and tits.

Regardless of oceanic media practices, Sam was still in mid-combat, flying back from the tomahawker who outweighed him by roughly 100 pounds. "Drrrnrnnnfggkgk" He went, pressing his hands against the ground and flipping back onto his feet, his right foot almost gave out. His a had literally just been kicked. Damn that stung, he'd have to make a mental note to not sit down for a while. He briefly flexed the muscles in his back, realigning his spine into working order without damaging any of the microbrains in the spinal fluid. There was a faint 'BEEP'- Okay not faint as much as incredibly annoying -sound coming from his a. 'repairs complete' Samuel glared and shouted... At his a**.

"REPAIRS COMPLETE MY YOU! THAT STILL HURTS LIKE A b*h!" He leapt back onto another column, the adverse surface to the gravity helping his throbbing... talking a. He sighed incredibly briefly, so much so that it sounded like he just coughed really loudly. He immediately afterwards launched off onto another column so he wouldn't just slide off. He launched himself against the ground nearby, rolling along into a position to simply punch his katar blades into the ground. Revealing his main power- He was briefly electrifying the ground nearby in an attempt to throw off the tomahawker's guard

[2/17]

85The Thunder Tyrant

[I kicked yer a**. lolololol.]

Deitric grunted as he smacked rather loudly into the ground, rolling back and standing up while his opponent's a** was apparently beeping and making repairs. He coughed a bit, having the air knocked out of him a bit, but not enough to bother him. He'd taken plenty of smashes to the back to get used to that.

When his opponent loosed a field of electricity, Deitric looked like he might've seized up for a moment in pain. But just a moment - it passed before it ever truly began.

What sounded like cackles and pops of lights bursting from an electrical over-load emitted from his person as suddenly a second electrical charge burst from his person, dancing all over his skin. When he opened his mouth in a grin, blue arcs of energy danced between his teeth, and his turquoise eyes danced with the addicting power of electricity - his own metahuman ability. His opponent's use of electricity had flipped the switch of a built in defense mechanism - like a porcupine rolling up into a ball to ward predators with it's spines, Deitric's powers of electricity came alive in such situations.

"Good! But I don't think either of us will be taking too much damage this way - we both seem to have the same power, and as you and I both know, we won't affect each other much with it," Deitric grinned, staring his opponent down with those electric eyes.

====

Up against the wall, the team that had transported Deitric to the fight site were going ape-s**t - partially because one of their cameras died with the dual burst of electricity from the two opponents, and from the way the fight had started - neither fighter had pussyfooted around the thought of physical damage, and went head-on at each other. It'd be a clip ran through every TV station, showing the sort of mettle the fighters were made of.

Samuel merely got up off the ground and grinned. "Oh." He stated. Standing still for a bit. "Karma's a b***h. I beat ONE person before a tournament and the one I face first nulls out my kinetics. Beautiful." He said, the electricity flow between the two making something of a circuit in mid-air. They were currently standing in their own piste of sorts- Purple electric arcs flying off of Sam and onto Deitric and Sam getting hit by his enemy's blue energy. It was something of a beautiful display, making two girls looking in through some of the higher glassless windows go "Ahhhh..." Though at the light intensity of Sam's electrical output passively, the shock would only paralyze them and possibly drive them to orgasm.

And he didn't honestly need superpowers for that.

Unless that's considered a superpower in of itself.

Samuel stopped musing to himself immediately. "We seem to be similiar types. Pain cushions and electrical users... It should get interesting soon." Sam blinked a bit to himself, looking up to the ceiling whilst rubbing his chin. "However I'm sure cleverness plays into it somewhat," He said loudly, nodding as his left hand shot out- Keeping his electrical flow to himself this time electricity seemed to be arcing around in his hand. The columns each seemed to have silver crosses hanging on them somewhere. And Sam's eyes were skimming over them. The one closest, nearby enough to hit Deitric fell off its hook, beginning it's descent.

And of course, to completely ruin any surprise the attack would have had a nearby reporter with the gall to stay inside had just dusted himself off from the shock, a bright flash shot out at both of them as he shouted out "Headline: Death from above!"

The monk looked down at Katsu, and shrugged a bit. He was now done watching the fight that his, sad to say, expendable team mate had just been fighting. He was more focused on Samuel's fight now. He didn't spare Katsu an answer however. "I think it'd be best if we waited to see how things go with Michael and Samuel. It would seem that Michael's opponent had the spirit of a true warrior... But it wasn't enough to defeat that puppet. Never did really like that guy. He always bragged about how the Lord actually spoke to him... But anyway. Sam just started up... and it seems he's well met with his opponent."

He took a moment to spectate a little longer. He took note of the similarities in Sam's powers to his opponent's, but noted the slight difference. Deitric, who it would seem was truly the first in command, had summoned his powers through meta-human abilities. Sam however used his only true greatest power. His knowledge.

"That James guy seems pretty chill. Pardon my slang... I spent three years in 'New Yawk City' while visiting a few of Sam's... friends. That being aside, I picked up the slang. It's... fitting?" Linken crossed his arms, leaning his head from side to side in order to crack it. A subtle crack could be heard as Linken was not one to crack his neck, but after seeing Samuel do it, he was indeed curious. It was a refreshing feeling that seemed free more blood flow to his brain. All in all it had him thinking on a higher level. "My manipulation of Chi could prove to scramble up James' natural chemistry. We have yet to find out what powers he holds. Or atleast that is what I was to understand. Perhaps water manipulation... or Ice like myself... or even Earth. Fire and Wind or Electricity are most likely out of the picture... I mean, why have two of the same element on your team?" He was speaking purely from his own grip on logic. "But then again... You never know..." He brought his thumbnail up to his mouth, nawing lightly on the tip. T'was a nervous habit he had yet to kick. "Well. Ultimately it's going to be Sam's choice. In the event that he was to die, I would take place as Team Captain. But I don't think he's one to give up that easily. Only one thing we can do for now, and that's cheer Sam on. So... Wooooo. Go Sam." The lack of emotion in his statement was rather comedic one might think. Linken wasn't one to think so.

88The Thunder Tyrant

The Khasmin tribesman still grinned slightly as the electrical storm played itself around them. Above, the harsh, artificial fluorescent lighting used to keep the place well-lit at night burst, showing glass shards all around like slivers of shining rain - but it wouldn't of damaged either of them. The room remained lit up, however - thanks in part because of the KISS-worthy show they were putting on with their powers, and because of the light of day outside.

Deitric rolled off to the side when his opponent's hand shot off - he didn't know about the cross, but at the same time, he didn't know the full extent of his opponent's abilities - for all he knew, he might've been able to use something like fire as well - and well, in Deitric's experience, someone's hand being flung out at you from a distance usually signaled some sort of ranged attack.

He was surprised when he didn't see anything coming as he rose up again, though. But from his new position, he saw the cross. It had been clever, that much was for sure. It probably wouldn't of knocked him out - they were usually wood with gold or silver over it, from what Deitric knew - but it'd of hurt whether it be wood or pure silver. Getting clocked by a cross was not on Deitric's "To do" list.

Now beside the pillar he'd laid his shield and spear to rest, the warrior eyed his opponent, keeping his senses open to the environment around him - the man was clever, that much was sure. However, Deitric had his own brand of sly thinking as well. He gave his shield a firm kick as soon as he was near it, sending it out between them - electricity arced between the boot and shield as he knocked it out into the open.

Shield Techniques Wrote:

__________|Arrow Catcher| Deitric can pump electricity into his shield, attracting any (magnetically-suspect) projectiles to his shield.

The red-skinned warrior had just used his Arrow Catcher technique, and with the amplified electricity in the air (no puns for those damn reporters), it was going to work better than he'd probably of hoped or wanted. Of course, if he were someone else, he might regret doing such a thing. But Deitric didn't regret anything - all he could do was persevere and push forward, ignoring any patches of trouble along the way, or just plowing through them.

Crosses, candelabras, bowls, everything that was metal and not a melee weapon began to rattle and shake, flying from their places in the cathedral towards the shield with an impressive amount of speed - magnetically drawn to it, both figuratively and literally. The air was alive with the whistle of the projectiles, and the camera crew would "OHSHIT" behind him as the sound guy was nearly clocked by a now-empty bowl. Other people would have to worry as well - but the attack wasn't intentionally meant to affect anyone but Samuel and himself. The others knew the risk by standing around in a combat zone, especially with the two men fighting now.

Of course, this posed a problem for both of the fighters - they weren't going to be safe from the flying projectile. Deitric hadn't enough time to even try and shield himself, but he managed to drop down into a kneel after the kick beside the pillar, a bowl smacking him on the shoulder and a candelabra managing to smack across his back - it'd probably leave a bruise and put him in a sour mood later.

However, whether or not his opponent would be so lucky in the cross-fire, one would just have to see.

[3/17]

[OOC: Gawd. Sorry for post length, dudes. Oh, and the technique doesn't affect melee weapons because it'd be unfair to block a sword or something and, you know.. have it stick to the shield.]

89Samuel LaCroix

Samuel looked around a bit, punching his fists together. "Is this an attack or some form of clever ruse?" He said, pulling out of his sleeves his shades which he snapped in two, putting one half over his right eye and raising his eyebrow. "What what." He said in a british accent thick enough one could swear he shat the queen.

After his little skit he returned his mind to the battlefield. He simply flicked his wrists up into the air, letting his sleeves slide down to show the rest of the katars underneath, with strange diagrams on the front of them. Sam gripped his fists together and said "One two three four five six" Which was of course, the passcode for activating the kinetic barriers. What kind of person would have that as their passcode, seriously. That's something an idiot would put on his luggage!

Quote: Shield-tars: Dual qatars, one on each arm with dual blades. It is also capable of projecting an energy shield barrier than can take roughly one or two melee attacks before shorting out and needing a recharge.

Also, remind me to change my luggage.

Samuel crouched down, holding both kinetic barriers over himself. Hands still crackling with energy he was supplying the shields so they wouldn't short out under the battery of all the miscellaneous religious goods so swiftly slamming into his general area. Every one of them simply seemed to ricochet off with a purple spark on them, flying over to Deitric's shield. "One more thing, then! We've both got awesome shields!" He was honestly a bit baffled with the similiarities of the two.

Atleast Deitric didn't have a talking a**.

[4/17]

90The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric remained silent and impassive as the items smacked his shield. The shield was getting knocked away from the fighting area with the hit of each new addition to the growing collection of items attached to it, and taking every metal item with it. By the time the shield was well and far away from the two, their fighting area had literally been stripped clean of any metal items that they could have hurled at each other - and trying to pick up the small hoard of metal that his shield was the foundation of would have been hell for either of them, one would imagine. Why? Well, it was damn heavy.

"It seems so," Deitric responded as he rose back to a standing position. The metal storm was quite over, and the are they were fighting in was left barren of any metal - except the weapons of the two fighters that they had on their person, of course. Despite the flashy show he'd just managed to put on - which the news reporters probably loved, despite it hadn't been his intent to ever entertain the annoying suits - he didn't look shaken. It had just been a flash of insight to clear the fighting area of any possible items that would be good for catapulting at one another.

"I think we've suitably entertained the crowd - now how about we get down to fighting?" the warrior asked, a grin on his face that touched even his usually distant eyes. He seemed to be enjoying himself more than one would have expected from his typically dour look when he wasn't busy fighting - but so far it was proving to be nothing short of a spectacle worthy of the media's attention, as well as his own attention - a fight worth fighting, one could say.

He stood between the twin colonnades, holding his tomahawk down by his waist still. His stance was relaxed, with his feet shoulder-width apart. He could have been doing anything other than fighting, as it suggested - but that was because Deitric's own ways didn't rely on stances - it was simply happened - he struck when he struck, moved when he moved. There was no build, no structure - just efficiency. For now, he was more than curious about his opponent's armaments, and stood, waiting for his opponent to rise and meet him between the twin rows of marble pillars, some now chipped from the onslaught of metal from earlier.

[4/17]

91Samuel LaCroix

Samuel rose from his crouch, hands relaxing and his shields completely disappating into nothing. His eyse briefly flashed in the lights streaking all over the cathedral, one specifically covering over his face. "Alright, fine fine. Just be aware, I'm nowhere near as static as heady boy over there" He nodded, reassuming his stance, a nice juxtaposition of duality in all his moves already grooving around him, he closed his eyes. Holding his forward hand out. A twitch of his palm and he broke into a dash, palm striking the ground with a distinctive 'Beyow' sound going off.

His shields had fired into the ground in a purple sparking frenzy and as he twisted his forearm around he began to turn into a human sawblade of sorts, which was only added to when out of his black combat boots shot silver blades, shining in the light and making a 'Shink shink shink' sound as he was spinning around, headed rather quickly for Deitric's person.

(Hay, guyz! I'm sober! Prepare your rectum!)

[5/17]

92The Thunder Tyrant

One brow quirked up in a look of incredulity and surprise. This man was probably one of the flashiest fighters Deitric had met - his "not being static" warning had been an understatement. Sure, he didn't hurl fireballs or breathe clouds of acid, but at least in terms of melee combat, he was more than a little.. odd. Unlike his opponent, Deitric was a rather "grassroots" fighter - simple, but not predictable. He didn't figure he would even want to try and pull off the sort of attack his opponent was going for - it seemed to leave him a bit open. It was a wonder the man knew which direction to travel like that, but then again, experience with the technique probably taught him plenty.

As his opponent charged in his odd, saw-blade fashion, the warrior merely chucked his tomahawk at the man - a quick pump of his left arm sent the hatchetesque tribal weapon going haft over head towards the cartwheeling Samuel. It didn't take much effort on the part of the warrior to throw it - he'd been throwing 'hawks for a while now. The only thing was, it was pretty damn hard to aim on an opponent who's body was suddenly at a completely different angle than normal - and spinning, at that. But Deitric didn't mind - it would be sort of like playing a roulette will. Except it'd be body parts and places instead of numbers and colors. When the warrior loosed his own attack, a lightning arc of electricity connected his hand and the tomahawk for the first few feet of flight. It didn't add to the attack, it just 'charged' the weapon, giving it the same 'current' as the one flowing through Deitric's body.

After the aforementioned hurl of his primary weapon, the warrior simply moved back and to his right at a swift, loping pace - aiming to keep himself out of the opponent's original line of fire so he wouldn't get ran over, as it would have been if he'd stayed in place. Staying on the move was for the best, until the human pinwheel stopped - which would probably be soon, if the tomahawk throw worked.

93Samuel LaCroix

Samuel's left leg slammed into the axe- It got in only to the point one would assume arterial and muscle damage, Samuel was thrown off balance like a top hit by another, much smaller, sharper, axe-shaped top. Samuel flew back a few feet, landing feet and forward hand first in a kneel before standing back up completely, kicking his leg into a wall to knock the axe out at the cost of a bit more damage. The blood circulating through his left leg seemed to be... Bright glowing cyan, it spurted out and then stopped, hardening over the cut. Once again, his a** spoke.

"Batteries recharged, 74%!"

Samuel winced at that. "Oh st, it was 40% When I left the hotel. Talk about a pick-me-up" he said, shaking his head out of talking. He'd lost structure. He didn't give a st, so it seemed. Because he was right back to rushing straight at the Tomahawker with a full head of steam going on, and next to no evident strategy. Just a full-on rush with both hands tucked at his sides, blades still out enough for him to gore him if he got close enough.

94The Thunder Tyrant

"Ketu-a'nec."

The tomahawk whizzed past Samuel through the air at the utterance of the command word by its owner as soon as his opponent had managed to free it from the wound. The haft slapped into his outstretched hand soundly, a dull roar coming from those watching as the brave's weapon was returned to him, as if by some invisible phantasm. Of course, it was just a simple enchantment on the weapon that had been there for generations - a spoken command word in the local Khasmin language - specifically, his tribe's name - and it would return to the wielder.

The aquamarine hues of his eyes were still alight with the electrical power from before as he watched his charging opponent warily, keeping his tomahawk down the butt of the haft brushing against his belt as he held it near his left hip, letting his opponent charge - he'd stand his ground just fine. His other hand stayed gripping around his belt-buckle, waiting to see what sort of attack would actually come from the charge before committing to any sort of action such as a counter-charge or a dodge - no need to dive headfirst into a pool that might have no water in it.

[6/17]

95Samuel LaCroix

Samuel Slammed both fists into the ground just before he even got to Deitric, the blades actually jammed into the ground. It gave him the handhold to send his legs up over his body, launching out for a full-on kick at Deitric. Every muscle and artificial tendon in his leg was being pumped full of blood and polarized deuterium, his vest tagging along with his body in a strangely rhythmic, jaggy, art nuevo tail of green hanging on his movements.

And so he didn't get caught on that hard metal floor, he retilted his hands so he didn't snap the blades and immediately pulled them out of the notch he had created in the ground, making his attack seem less like a flying kick and more like something of an... Air ballet.

That is of course assuming german rules hardcore air ballet rules, in which knife weapons are fully allowed.

[7/17]

96The Thunder Tyrant

The warrior would have blinked in surprise at the attack - but just as his opponent and countless others in the tournament, even surprise at another's tactics didn't faze him enough to make him give up even an iota of any advantage he could take. And he was going to take everything he could.

The red-skinned man lowered his stance swiftly as he started forward when his opponent went into the handspring-axekick attack. Where before, the Khasminic tribesman had merely been standing, the cameras of the crew off to the side would catch the explosive push of his legs that threw him forward, as if he were going to shoulder-check his opponent. The abrupt movement was impressive, especially for someone who, by all reports of media and otherwise, was completely human outside of a singular ability.

And he fully intended to do so - with the brunt of his shoulder, right into the small of the other man's back - which was why Deitric had lowered his stance so much more than usual, even though it'd been as natural as moving any other way. It was just his reaction to the attack - nothing planned or with any true forethought. Well, maybe just a little forethought - or, at the very least, the stroke of inspiration would hit him mid-attack.

Assuming he'd hit his opponent, he'd use his seventy-five pounds or so of extra muscle to really plow into Samuel. But he wasn't gonna stop there. His arms would move to wrap around the man's waist as soon as they collided, his right locking around the wrist of the left hand, and Deitric would lift his opponent up, carrying him, fully upside down, while running as hard as he could manage. Which, all considered, was pretty fast with that extra luggage, since he was leaning forward from the shoulder-check.

And what would he do? Well, there were pillars all around. So, simply put, Deitric was gonna run plenty hard and aim his opponent for the nearest pillar - then smash him against it while the man was upside down and in his lock-grip. Sure, he'd probably feel plenty of pain in his hands from it - since they'd be hitting the pillar as well. But then again, it would be worth it. Or, Deitric hoped so at least.

Kain's crimson smile grew wider once that annoying voice cut out.

"...heh heh heh heh..." His breath was wheezy and it pained his body to do it but it sure felt good to let it out. Next time Kain will register his psychic abilities for use. Fighting furniture half of the time wasn't his idea of fun.

Medical teams and random people hurried over to the wreck and hefted the weighty machine off of mangled Devil. He was quickly put on a stretcher where he found comfort and laid his eyes to rest.

The med-staff were aware of his regenerative properties, but felt they should bandage and splint the Devil. After they were finished wrapping his ribs they went for the wings but once they were touched the wings began to withdraw into his back.

Inside of the ambulance, which remained at the scene, Kain was able to watch Deitrics fight on the tele that was set up.

His body was certainly ******** up but his spirit kept him conscious, he had to stay up to support his team, even if he was a bloodied mummy.

99Samuel LaCroix

Samuel took a moment to breath and shout "Fffff"- Samuel looked up and he looked down. How inverted both were. Bizarre, since just earlier he had been attacking with a nice kick, he was rather well oriented during that. What had happened? Why was he upsi- oh right. ********.

"UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU" Samuel had in fact concluded he was being grabbed by the waist. Upside down. That was really disorienting. Oh, look. A column was getting bigger. Wait, bigger means closer. That's none too good for our fine cracker friend here, whose face was probably soon to be as red as blood. And then he noticed how incredibly one-sided this attack was. All offense.

"CCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC" Samuel noticed Deitric's knees which were pumping up and out rather quickly from his point of view. Samuel noticed how incredibly visible Deitric's rectus femoris (major thigh muscle) was. To compare Sam's logic to a simple mathematical process

b(Blade) = s (Sharp). rm(Rectus femoris) = f (Fleshy) s + f = p(Pain)

"KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK" Sam shouted out as he clenched his fists together, rearing his arms up into his armpits, eyes glaring at his targets, Pistons shooting out of his right shoulderblade. "STOP. CRYING OVER LITTER. YOU DAMNED NINNY." He shouted out, launching both arms full force at Deitric's legs, oriented so the blade would pierce straight through that major muscle if Deitric didn't make time to stop and drop Sam.

[8/17]

100The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric's eyes had been down, for the most part, watching both his opponent and the immediate floor in front of them. He didn't need to look around - what, was the pillar gonna grow legs and walk off? Well, maybe, but he didn't think so. He was more than a little disturbed at his opponent's contortionist skills, and at first he didn't quite know what the man was doing.

Then it hit him. Fairly literally, at that. He watched his opponent's arms jab forward - no, wait, backwards at his thighs. The Khasminic warrior did the only thing he could - jump. Well, that was a relative term. They'd leave the ground, but it wasn't an Air Jordan worthy jump. It wasn't the best of ideas, but it was an idea, at least. He'd almost "Superman" in the air, or at least it'd look that way since he'd try to throw his body out in to be at least close to parallel with the floor.

The hand-blades had lanced into his legs, cutting past the tough denim of his keens to leave scathing gashes in his legs - not as deep as his opponent would have hoped, but enough to most certainly bleed him and probably hinder the warrior if he had continued to try and run. In fact, though the wounds might not be as deep as intended, they'd be much longer because his legs were moving back when the blades cut into them, lengthening the cuts but making them more shallow in return. There was no way he could have dodged, but by jumping and throwing his legs back as he'd tried to do, he'd manage to at least lessen the attack in someway. Crimson blood ran from the wounds, staining his jeans maroon. If he had lessened the blow, it sure didn't feel like he'd done much for himself.

But that was the kicker - he'd jumped. Oh, it was going to hurt in more than one way for him - he was already wincing from the cuts in his legs that burned like some sort of unholy fire - not because he was demonic, just because it hurt. However, jumping had its advantages - for one, his legs were back, meaning his opponent's head was the lowest thing in the mix of the two men.

Impromptu pile-driver, anyone? Almost all of Deitric's weight would be on his opponent as they both came crashing down - his opponent headfirst onto the marble floor, most likely, since he'd managed to get those damn metal knives up and into Deitric's legs. Which meant his arms probably wouldn't be there to try and take some of the weight - which was somewhere around three-hundred and seventy pounds, with both of them, all onto his opponent's head. Assuming it worked, once they'd manage to get ground-side again, the momentum of the running from before would send Deitric bucking forward and sprawling with little he could do to stop his movements. His own head found the ground rather painfully as his legs couldn't quite support him yet on his way down after his opponent, opening a nasty looking gash across the side of his temple. He rolled and managed to smack back-first into the pillar.

He didn't know what sort of condition his opponent would be in after the sudden jumble of panic that had sent them into the pile-driver/car crash that had been the mess of attacks, but the warrior would hook his tomahawk's head on the hook that had once held a cross up and pull himself up, the only change from his distant features being a distinct wince of pain. His legs were supporting him, but only barely. He was hoping his opponent's impromptu and passionate cranial-kiss with the hard, stone floor would knock him out. Even if it didn't, he'd hope for at least a few moments to gather his bearings. He was pretty sure his opponent had done some heavy damage to his right leg - it'd slow him down, but he wouldn't know how much until they were fighting again, if his opponent rose from crash.

"I was expecting something flashier..," Deitric grunted sarcastically as he leaned against the pillar. He sure as hell wasn't one to try and walk after that - not yet, anyways. He was fine where he was, slumping against the pillar, waiting to see just what he'd managed to do. Hopefully, he'd be able to move his legs well enough to continue fighting. But only time would tell.

Somewhere in little britain there were two british men sitting at a cafe. One had a monocle and a fine, gentlemanly moustache. The other had a tophat and a fine beard. "Gerald, I say, Gerald." Said Frankington. "This tea, it's spot on earl grey, what what?" Gerald replied "Indeed. However one must question it's viscosity. To me, it seems a bit, eh... Watered down." Frankington took offense and riposted "Your mothe--" Gerald's grand, gold plated monocle popped out at the massive scream stretching out over the land, and Frankington's top hat leapt off of his head.

Samuel actually had a bit of an indentation in the ground, the stone around him was fractured. He wasn't moving at all. Twitching a bit though. "External pressure increased to approximately three quarters of a tonne on Jan:08:5:46 PM." Because he was listening SO Intently to hear exactly how much he'd been crushed. In fact, he wasn't listening to anything. He looked to be out cold. The scouter showed he was still completely active- Electrical interference. Or. "Rebooting systems." Samuel leapt up from the ground onto his feet in a slouched position. "Dssssgkgkggk"

Samuel slouched... Incredibly so. His head at this point was against the ground with his feet about a foot in front of him. He got up to a normal standing stance within the timespan of a few seconds. "God damn..." He said, panting. Shaking his head and applying electricity to himself to restore any adrenaline he may have gotten rid of by shitting himself. Luckily, his a** had a metal lock on it. Bionics rock some times. "That hurt like an orphaned san diego whore on mother's day."

Samuel swayed a bit, still alert enough to block... Something.

102The Thunder Tyrant

Never say never --

-- That's the bottom line!

Deitric could feel the red warmth down his legs, ignoring his opponent's twitching and moving body. For a second - just a second - he panicked, but it didn't register on his features. He thought he might've been bleeding out, but his calm quickly did away with that notion - he'd of left one hell of a spray around here if he were bleeding out. He'd seen that plenty of times on the battlefield when bayonets and knives and spears hit just the right place on the thigh.

He could have attacked while his opponent was getting up, but he used those precious few seconds to calm and focus himself while tearing off a quick few strips of denim and pushing them into the gashes, gritting his teeth all the while. Deitric had to stall the bleeding at least a little. He was bleeding - but his opponent might be retarded now, who knew. He gave a quick shake of his head and gripped the hilt of his tomahawk until his knuckles grew white - he'd held onto it somehow through the movements.

He pushed himself off the pillar and hid his wince well. He felt his weight keenly in his legs, but they were steady enough for his liking - they hurt something fierce, but the cuts weren't as deep as he'd initially thought in his blood-soaked panic. They sure as hell weren't scratches, though - deep enough to cover the entire front of his upper leggings, but the denim had soaked up most blood that'd come out of him so far.

Deitric didn't want to move too much, though, so he stood in front of the pillar on his own two legs, eying his opponent, his features set with grim determination. His right hand returned back to the belt buckle again, the tomahawk held in the same position as before - he'd of charged if he could, but he didn't think that'd be in his best interests. Not until he was a little more sure of his legs.

"Well, come on then.. This crowd can't entertain themselves. And I somehow don't think I should be running too much..," Deitric laughed darkly - that was at least partially true. The crowd could probably entertain themselves if they had to. I mean, they'd handed a ******** kitten over to one of the fighters. They could probably be okay by themselves if the bloodsport stopped.

103Samuel LaCroix

Samuel flexed the muscles in his back- Numerous cracks were heard down his spine. Samuel himself began to murmur, evaluating himself for critical injuries "Systolic... 2.50 Psi. Diastolic... 1.50 Psi." He murmured more, about numerous bones' density being compromised. However, he shrugged it off and said. "Alright, alright. The knock to my head just blew out a chunk or somethin'..." He sighed into his hand, shaking his head post-haste. A heartbeat later, he snapped back into pose shouting out, not for the fans, just for himself "Let's get this over with, already!" He switched his pose up- His front was no longer quick and jerky, but slow and methodical. Straight into fire of earth style, just to switch it up.

Of course, switching up his style meant switching up his entire form of combat- Sam's front hand turned around- backhanding the column to bring a wooden cross down into his hand. Throwing it at the Tomahawker, ironically, much like a tomahawk with his right hand. The pistons were still up, and spewing out steam from behind him at this rate.

(I'm losing my groove.)

[10/17]

104The Thunder Tyrant

The warrior swatted the cross out of the way with his tomahawk, letting out a slight grunt. He thought he'd gotten rid of all those damn things. Must've been a few that hadn't been metal plated, like the one his opponent just tossed - which was now conveniently in various pieces on the floor, thanks to the biting edge of his tomahawk.

He reached up, dragging two bloody fingers over his cheeks, leaving crimson smears like war-paint over his skin. He wiped it off on the already bloodied pants and began forward, reaching down to finally draw out what he'd been gripping above his belt buckle the entire time - with a skinkt, the long knife was pulled free of its leather sheathe which had been tucked between the belt and the pants. The blade looked wickedly sharp, and the fine point it came to spoke of more than a few behind-the-back ambush stabbings.

"Then come over here and fight me," Deitric taunted, the blood from the gash on his temple leaving a crimson sheen down the left side of his face and neck - it didn't obscure his vision in the least, though. While he spoke, he took two steps forward - taking his time.

[10/17]

105Samuel LaCroix

Samuel nodded, a bead of sweat dropping down his brow as he took steps forward to match Deitric's pace. Not making any sudden moves or charges- It was definitely something for the media to adore. Especially with the lightshow that ensued- Sam started up the energy circuit between them again. Sam was for the most part drained of energy- And since his energy so happened to be an electric 'type', He could sap on that energy. Equalizing the energy levels between the two. It would take a little bit, though. Sam had to stall.

"What do you call..." Sam held up open palms in front of himself, spreading them out like he was flattening the air "...a mixture of an elephant... And a rhino." He ran his index fingers through the air in curls, taking a bow and getting back up immediately. He really sucked at non-combat distractions.

[11/17]

106The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric continued forward, offering only a shrug at first. He'd never seen either animal, except on TV. It was no use distracting him, though. He knew full well what his opponent was doing. Well, he at least knew he was stalling. He didn't know his opponent was going to try and steal some of his energy. Of course, his own power had since gone inactive - he couldn't maintain them for that long, so they'd shut off again.

There'd be nothing to siphon - Deitric didn't have any energy to give with his currently "switched off" ability. If he really needed to, he could bring it forth again, but at the cost of his own health, and he didn't need or want to do that, not right now. It would only weaken him further to try and concentrate on using a power that, as far as he could tell, didn't harm his enemy.

"If you want to talk, maybe you should concede," Deitric suggested mockingly as he began to charge his opponent suddenly, ignoring the dull throb of pain stretching its tendrils through his legs and lower abdomen. Despite the injuries to his legs, he could still carry on - though his normally long, loping strides were clipped, he was still moving with an impressive speed, given the injuries at hand. He looked as if he was going to just shoulder-block the man again, as neither of his weapons were raised, just there in his hands at waist level.

[11/17]

107Dragosani Kain

Kain made a punch in the air trying to somehow coax one of the fighters to attack, the tension was killing him before Deitric had made his move; the fight was incredibly intense.

The swing set off a crack in his ribs and he grimaced at the shock of pain. He let out his breath and relaxed a bit, not moving to avoid another episode of 'ouch'.

His eyes went back to the TV in the Medic Van while the paramedics continued to tidy up the mess of dirtied cloths that were used to clean the Devil up. He had a series of bandages on the right side of his face, his eye closed with swollen bruising and his torso tightly wrapped up with bandages as well.

He'd sustained a lot of damage through that fight and he was thankful for the break, no pun intended. His pelvis still seethed with agony but its structure was slowly coming back as Kain's regenerative capabilities kicked in.

Hopefully he wasn't going to be needed for a striker because that s**t wasn't about to happen.

"Hrmph."

What WAS going to happen, however, was a smoke.

108Samuel LaCroix

Sam sighed. "Oh, come on. Fine. Elephino. Are you happy? I ruined the damn joke." He said, his voice slipping as his mouth stretched into a smirk at the tomahawker bull rushing him. He shrugged, such an attack seemed to mimic himself early on in the fight. One of the women earlier who had been peering in shouted out "No! Move out of the way!" Samuel heard it, not registering it as someone he knew. He was picking up a fanbase?

Awesome, groupies.

Samuel was uplifted by the sudden outburst of someone he'd never heard. His left hand slammed into the ground, his foot kicking against the ground so both his legs together moved in a sweeping motion directly against Deitric's velocity, if Sam could manage to get his legs high enough in the air, he was aiming to slam his feet into the wound he'd inflicted earlier.

(s**t I need caffeine, I'm starting to suck with these posts.)

[12/17]

109The Thunder Tyrant

One good thing about that damn clipped gait - he could stop easy if he needed to. But he didn't so much stop as he did keep his slight turn - he'd been turned to his left to use his right shoulder, and that'd help him now. When his opponent's legs came jutting out, Deitric struck out with the knife - he was going to jam it into the bottom of his opponent's top most foot and let the kick smash into his hand and arm first before it hit his legs, if he could. It'd press his hand against the wound in his right leg, the shock of the blow, even lessened by the buffer of flesh that was his hand and the clipped gait that had come to a near stop, still sent blades of pain ripping through both legs, even though the left had been untouched. The wound felt as if it might've been torn a bit longer, but at this point, there was no reason to cry over spilt milk, right?

He continued to push forward before ducking down, aiming to wrap his right arm around his opponent's legs while he twisted his upper body and pulled the legs up to try and lock his opponent's legs against his waist with his right arm. The left would get to work as the detached warrior suddenly became a maniac axe-wielder, sans the grin and mask. Later, some of the crowd might say that his face was like a mask - his eyes still remained cold and hard, and his lips were pressed thin in a visage of iron will to succeed.

Thwack thwack thwack!

Would be the sound the crowd heard if Deitric got his way as he began to furiously chop at the knee of his opponent's 'top' leg, his arm a blur of black leather and silvery steel as he aimed to chop the bottom part of the limb clean off, pouring as much strength into the blows as he could manage. Armor or no, the tomahawk would do it's deed if things went his way - the small striking head of the tomahawk was perfect for punching through armor, and the knee was never a particularly strong spot on the body, armored or no.

[12/17]

110Samuel LaCroix

Samuel stopped, collaborated and listened. He was back... With a brand new invention.

Samuel stopped in mid-sweep. Not horizontal motion- along an entirely different axis. He saw that knife shining as it went down, Sam was just fast enough to manage to twist himself around enough to get his right arm on the ground in place, sending his left leg up INTO The knife. Once again a metal scraping sound filled the air, making a few mediamen in the background wince. This one had taken a fairer chunk out of his leg, rending enough steel from... More steel to expose another layer over the inner skeleton of his bionic leg. Sam didn't stop there, though.

Sam began spinning his hips around and up into the air, hopefully flinging the knife somewhere else. But knowing the indian, he probably had some native american word to call it back, too. Samuel wasn't put off by that, though- In fact, whether or not it flung it out he was up on his feet again a few feet back... Singing.

"I got a lot of nerve and I'm ready to dance~ I'm on my way."

[13/17]

111The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric felt the knife go flying, but didn't bother retrieving it. In fact, he stepped away-- putting the tomahawk into the belt-loop it typically stayed in. He ignored the stinging in his right hand - it wasn't anything serious. Not in comparison to his bleedin' damn legs.

"Tatsinupi," Deitric growled, holding out not one hand, but two. The spear soared through the air to land in his hands with a smack of wood on flesh. The spear wasn't as long as others - the user could wield it in one hand, if they wanted - but Deitric was holding it in both his hands, now.

The warrior wasted no time - he sidled forward quickly, the spear's blade - shaped like an enlongated broad-head arrow - snapped forth quickly, beaded and feathered leather fluttering behind as Deitric aimed his deft, bare-bones strike at his opponent's right hip. He wasn't striking for power - he was striking for speed and aiming to be able to move and retract the spear around if need be.

=====

Beyond the way, with the door cleared (as one would assume that the paramedics would drag the downed psion out of the way..), the crowd pushed their way in. Fighters' warnings be damned, they were far enough away! The crowd looking through the stained glass windows and those who could watch now were stunned - both warriors were bleeding and wounded in their own way, and the area of the church they fought in looked as if a whirlwind of a battle had torn through it. The media ate it up, snapping picture upon picture and capturing "LIVE! EXCLUSIVE FOOTAGE" for their respective channels.

Of course, none of them had it like the Channel Ψ news team, though. They'd been there from the beginning, and they'd caught everything - the light show, the metal storm, the stabbing and the pile-drive, and everything in-between from the beginning to now - the beginning of the end.

=====

Somewhere outside, a stereo was turned on.

"SHOUT!"

"SHOUT!"

"SHOUT!"

"SHOUT AT THE DEVIL!"

Someone was a Motley Crue fan.

[13/17]

[Sorry about the wait. Had a phone call to deal with.]

112Fierach

And then James had to play the good guy. The rather handsome, and young third member of team Bloodfyre approached the crowd that was trying to move in and get a closer look. They were starting to get even wilder though, a few fangirls pushing their way to the front and screaming vows of love, reporters now yelling at him, his team this, his team that.

What was his mode of combat. Whether he was single. The kitty that was perched on his shoulder made a few people coo. Then came questions like, if he was a cat person, did he support PETA.

So seriously, next thing you know, there'd be paparazzi all over the face.

James held up a hand to stall the forthcoming questions as he closed and spoke firmly in a low and casual tone, addressing the crowd. "Alright, as a member of Team Bloodfyre, I must respectfully request that you obey the wishes of the current fighting pair. Nobody else should run the risk of being hurt besides the contestants, and that... is final".

He glanced about, eyes narrowed under his pretty-boy bangs and looks. James had the type of grace and charm that came easily to young, ambitious, and inspired men.

"Are we clear?" he asked. Most of the people nodded or gave some indication. The Eredas heir was serious. As he started to turn about to continue watching the match though, a reporter accosted him.

"Excuse me sir, but the public doesn't really know too much about you, despite your teammates being better known. Can we, perhaps, grab a sound bite from you? Mr. Eredas?"

"Hmm?" James turned questioningly to the reporter.

"What are your thoughts for the rest of HoH?"

"My thoughts huh... well... they... better be ready" James smiled.

"Resistance is flammable" he added cryptically, turning to watch the fight now.

"Well there you have it folks, golden words from one of the newest HoH entrants, James Eredas!"

Needless to say, the awesome and cool way the man just delivered that line made some of the closer fangirls swoon. Yay! More fans! Not that James cared too much for show business though.

113Kozmic Kat

Katsu nodded to Linken, kind of sitting down and watching. The fight was proving to be quite some worth to watch, seeing as how it was the only thing to actually do at the moment. Katsu was well rested, and he didn't even know if he would need to be. The fight might of been won by Sammi, and if that was the case, he would simply shrug, get up, and be on his way. Best two out of three, as it were. However, he looked Michael up and down, he was surly incapacitated for the remainder of HoH. He shrugged though, Michael wasn't much of a talker, so the two of them didn't really bond, at all, Katsu couldn't even recall a time they had spoken to eachother.

Katsu looked back up at Linken, a champion of light, he was. It always felt kind of awkward for Katsu to be around him. He usually felt that he should be burning from the obvious aura of good he put off. He didn't know if it was just a feeling, or an actual Aura, but women seemed to sure love it. Katsu simply shrugged to himself, I guess being a demon wasn't such a burden after all. Which made him begin to wonder, why was he out of The Abyss? Just randomly one day, he was kicked out, which was a blessing to most. He had been quite chaotic for the longest time, however as he grew up, he found morals, law, which probably gave him passageway to the material realm, the plain on which humans resided. Katsu liked it much better, he had made a few friends, Samuel and Linken had been very nice to him so far, and he wished to continue the times he had with them.

Katsu grinned, he would be enjoying his time in this, Heaven or Hell tournament.

114Samuel LaCroix

Samuel looked around, sighing. Any lightshow he would put off now could seriously flatline half a dozen people. Ceasing and desisting entirely, his emerald vest swayed in the air. Samuel was able to recognize most attacks if he was facing forward- As a matter of fact, he ducked back and deflected the spear with his right hand instead, blue energy goo shooting out of the 'wound' of sorts. Sam shook his head, saying "How long 'til this fight is over and done with, anyway? We won't have time for the third match any way you look at it..." Samuel nodded, gripping his metallic right hand into a fist with numerous loud 'clanks' and 'cranks'.

Pistons were still shooting out steam from behind him. In fact, an increased output. Sam was still grinding on his fist, producing more steam. It seemed like... As if...

Yep, it was pretty blinding for both of them. It cut off most the media could see, and at the rate of steam output most of them would probably get a bit Pruny. But there was something very easy to hear- Two seperate footsteps echoing. One set to the right of Deitric, one to the left. It could be heard with the clicks of metal against the solid sound of stone. Disorienting, yes. Deitric had a choice to make there...

[I'll be back... Later tonight.]

[14/17]

115The Thunder Tyrant

An easy choice to make, when you only had one real choice - the one that was going to get you out of there.

Deitric barreled forward as hard as he could in a short sprint - not even ten paces, holding the spear down and jutting forward--

-- Then he lanced it down and stabbed at the ground. The blade caught in the length of the long, crimson rug that covered the main walkway between the pews and pillars and even some of the floor beneath as he suddenly pole-vaulted up and out of the steam. Just because he'd chosen not to move too much didn't mean he couldn't - it meant he didn't want to.

Assuming his opponent wasn't up some ten or twelve feet up in the air - which was where Deitric would have been at the peak of his short, on-the-fly flight - the warrior would come down upper-body first, tucking his arms and head to roll while still keeping a hold on his weapon. He'd come up with a grunt out of the cloud of steam, turned about and waiting for his opponent to show - his eyes were forward, but he wasn't neglecting any other direction.

====

The media backed up at the steam, giving the fighters a wider birth, as none of them knew exactly what it was or why it was there. However, they wouldn't stop watching - the larger of the two had proven to be more acrobatic than one might've thought at first glances, and the red-skinned warrior looked rejuvenated - but was it all a show, or was he ready to charge back into battle?

[14/17]

116Samuel LaCroix

There was silence for a while. In fact, the steam completely faded. Sam was neither left nor right- Though, the blades on his boots... Those were both discarded in opposing directions on the ground. Samuel was... Nowhere to be seen. With all the cameras focused on the steambath, the color commentators going mad thinking Sam had run away. That might just end the fight- The sheer suspicion that Sam was gone.

"Where..." The female reporter went, tilting her glasses down her nose. "Did he go?"

'GABAMN!!!' Stone flying every which way! An entire stone column shattered out of nowhere- "Oh my god, an entire stone column of the Durem Cathedral! Blown up before your very eyes!" The spectators were intent on staying near the fight. But nooooot that near, they ran off at the sight of the stone flying around in a hurricane. Reporters were all shouting at their camera men and sound crews to get it on tape. It was a display even better than the laser rock show earlier on.

What's that--- In the sky?!

Is it a bird?! A plane?!

No! It's Sam flying down from the very top of the column, hands-first with gravity and velocity behind him! The blades strapped onto his wrist gleaming despite the dust- glowing despite the dark! Sam shouted out in a victorious screech "HA-HAAAAAA!"

[15/17]

117The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric didn't need to be looking or even listening to know what his opponent did, though he had been - more than one wayward piece of flying stone took care of that. A chunk of marble pelted his flank as a small flake about the size of a quarter left a long, gleaming line if crimson along his jawline. Pain was the best motivator and the best warning - he'd heard the explosion and seen the dust, but it was the pain that alerted him more than anything.

Ignoring the chunks of once beautifully carved stone pelting him and the shards that were getting caught in the thick leather of his jacket, the warrior just stumble-sprinted off to the left; probably Sam's right. He didn't bother retaliating - he wasn't even fully aware of his opponent within the flurry of stones even with the shout of triumph - he'd been prompted to get the hell outta Dodge by the fact he didn't want to get smacked upside the head with a flying chunk of marble. Which of course he did, at least once, but nothing big enough to knock him out - just give him a killer headache and lace his mane of black with slick blood once or twice. Glancing hits, something he could ignore with more than enough ease.

The warrior turned about once free of the dust, ignoring the dust that had caked onto the side of his face where the blood had been shed. He held the spear at the ready, standing directly between the colonnades, making sure he was aware of where his opponent was supposed to be - since he'd figured the man was probably going to charge out of the dust or try something else. How he got into the pillar, Deitric didn't know.

"If all you're going to do is run and hide, the door is behind you - see yourself out!" Deitric shouted, a hoarse undercurrent running through his usually calm voice - dust did wonders for the throat and lungs. 'Least it wasn't asbestos, or something like that. Just plain old, every-day marble dust.

[15/17]

118Samuel LaCroix

[Haaah. To quote Big trouble in little china... It wasn't eeeeassyyyyyy.]

It had really been a b***h for Sam to keep a grip up the column, let alone climb it. Let alone SILENTLY. Samuel cracked his wrist loudly, "Deitric..." Samuel said, his voice seemingly lighting up the dust. His figure, ponytail, coat, blades- All were seen in a perfectly sharp silhouette as he strode. "I'll ask you nicely here, since I don't want to seem rude." His eyes flashed, like a lightning storm. Visible through the smokescreen.

"Please," Samuel's hands both cracked loudly, his left gripping and his right reconfiguring its articulations. His mind was blank. The flesh part of it was, atleast. He'd banged himself up in the landing. Cosmetically, mostly. The goo in his leg wasn't hardening, and his fleshen right leg was bleeding profusely up and down. "Would you kindly..." His hair was mangy, and his fast was covered in dirt. One could visibly see a metal piece on the right side of his cheek through where synthetic skin was ripped up.

"Bleed, for me?" His emerald vest. Dyed with blood and charged deuterum in random places. The deuterium dyed areas letting smoke rise from the sheer energy output of the heavy hydrogen... How funny it was that the most damage he's taken the fight was self-inflicted. His muscled leg flexed immediately, bruises visible through some ripped parts of his new denim blue jeans. His legs started moving, pumping back and forth. He was moving himself into another charge for Deitric. He knew his katar blades were non-ferrous.

They were untouchable by his magnetic pull, before he even got to his indian adversary, he'd flung out of the katar's sockets both blades in the general direction of Deitric's torso, continuing his charge with both hands extended. This time, instead of blades he simply had the shields activated over his fists to give an extra toastiness to any hit he would be able to land.

[16/17]

119The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric remained un-phased by his opponent's words, merely watching as the machine-man approached. He held his ground - despite the wounds, which it finally seemed that he'd been playing on to make himself look weak (or, that's what the press would say, they'd never get a straight answer out of Deitric as to the severity of his wounds and how much they hindered him in the fight).

When the twin blades were launched through the air at him, the brave didn't flinch - the spear lashed out in a side-swipe with the broad-side of the blade, knocking both projectiles aside before they even got close to him - the advantage of the spear. But it was more than just the weapon - the warrior was completely within his own space of mind. Nothing could distract him, and nothing would escape the wrath of his spear.

Once his opponent closed within range of the spear, Deitric's arms pumped forward with spear in hand, revealing a flash of insight to those watching - his hard turquoise eyes lit up with the internal power he'd began to circulate through his body, specifically in two limbs as he began his counter attack - the final one before the match and round ended, it would seem.

Spear Techniques Wrote:

__________|Storm of Spears| The Storm of Spears is Deitric's must useful ability, utilizing the internal energy of his Thundersinger abilities to allow him to preform a barrage of stabs with his spear. For the unlucky opponent, they might find themselves rather perforated with a large amount of shallow stab wounds.

Where once there had been a single, shining spear-blade, now there were dozens, even hundreds in the hazy blur of Deitric's attack. He'd been waiting until the last second, steeling every nerve, pouring every ounce of his will and strength behind the attack, calling upon reserves of energy he'd rarely ever needed.

The air in front of him was alive with the furious onslaught of his attack as he loosed his Storm, the blade flashing as it sliced through the air, seeming to be in more than one place at the same time - if it was an illusion, it was a damn good one, because if his opponent were to be struck by even a single stab, he'd feel it. The attack was legion and unending - a cone of space in front of him being rent by the attacks. None of them would be fatal, they would never drive that deep into flesh. But they would be many, and only a fool would try to continue through the flurry of stabs. If his opponent was adamant about charging, he'd find that the closer he got to Deitric, the deeper the wounds would have become. It was the end-game, and the Khasminic tribesman was going to put everything he had behind the attack - all or nothing. That's what it would come down to.

========

The crowd that ringed the two fighters collectively gasped and gave an outcry of surprise - the smaller, more acrobatic opponent had thrown himself headlong into a charge, and the red-skinned warrior was standing his ground, and had loosed a maelstrom of an attack - two opposing forces poised to push against each other, determined to see the other finished.

That was what Heaven or Hell was all about.

[16/17]

120Samuel LaCroix

Samuel was completely unfaltered, still moving on ahead. He reared to the side to completely dodge the first spear. But after seeing them just start flying out... His mind blanked again. His fist pulled back into the air behind him, muscles crackling. Flexing. Beating. Throbbing. Every muscle or pseudomuscle in his body was getting a workout with that one punch- Completely shattering an oncoming shield. "Sare." He said blankly, before pulling back his other arm. Energy sparking up and down his arm, depositing in the back of his shoulderblades.

"Sare... Sare... Sare! SARE! SARE! SARE! SARE SARE SARESARESARESARSARSASASASASASASASASASASASA" He screamed out as his torso went back and forth and to and fro, twisting around to completely shatter any oncoming shields. Energy expended all within him to maintain the incredible speed he was putting out, and to maintain the shield power so his hands wouldn't be split in two like any of these spears are being so.

"SASASASASASASASASASASASASAAAAA-" Samuel was inadvertently spawning energy arcs from the back of his shoulderblades. The shields flattening out and reforming after every strike, sending shockwaves down his arms. Purple energy rings were shooting off and around his shoulderblades, all the while breaking apart into small glowing sparks. There were more near his head than anything. It was almost like a godsend. Some sort of...

Samuel leapt up, his para-wings of energy falling down below him as he screamed in mid-air "SARE TIL ME!!!" His hands raised over his head, grasped together to make one singular giant fist. Sparking with energy as the entire energy wings he was seeming to form dumped into his fists for a giant lightshow in mid-air. Like fireworks were erupting from his hands. It was his last attack, and it was either going to cause some nice collateral or knock his enemy out. Either is fine.

(Sare is Norwegian for hurt. Or as Sam is using it in this case, Break. 'Sare til me' is... "Break for me!!!".

Atleast I'm not talking in nonsensical japanese.)

121The Thunder Tyrant

[DESU DESU DESU. Norwegian > Japanese.]

The crowd around them remained largely silent, intent on the fight ahead. Both of the fighters were meeting attacks with attacks; their offense was their best defense against each other. Order and any semblance of known fighting styles were long since lost in the blur of combat between the two, and the media was capturing every second of it.

But when Samuel jumped, Deitric saw what they couldn't - he saw it. The shatter-point, the single time in the fight where he could end it with a single blow. When his opponent had let up in his assault for just a moment to leap up, the brave took that small sliver of opportunity that showed itself, and was going to carry it for all it was worth.

As the smaller, largely incoherent fighter rose up into the air for his final strike, Deitric's spear lanced out one last time - but his grip, his movements were different. He was holding near the butt of the spear, utilizing the almost all seven feet of wood that made up the haft and two or so of metal that made the blade in his final attack. The spear was aimed up in the final, stoccato blow of his Storm. He aimed the strike for Samuel's stomach, just above where a normal human would have a belly-button. Given the former grip he'd had, that would of meant Samuel could strike while taking the blow--

--But now, Deitric's spear could hit and push the man away, the force of the blow and the fact that the spear was longer than the space between the two meaning that something had to budge. And Samuel was the one that was going to have to bite the bullet, because all he had was the air to support him - Deitric had the firm, marble floor at his back and beneath his feet, and it wasn't going to budge any-time soon. His opponent wouldn't be able to slide down further than the blade - it widened considerably like a broadhead arrow and had a few barbs that made sure of that.

GOING DOWN

If his final blow were true, the warrior wouldn't try to hold his opponent up in the air he was stuck - he'd tip the spear to the side hard, swinging (as much as the term could be used) down to slam his opponent on his side. He didn't have the strength left to try and hold him in the air or slam him over on his head - he'd simply let momentum and a bit of his own physical power as a steady lever do the work.

Deitric let go of his spear, moving back slowly, almost numbly in his movements. Weak arcs of electricity sparked between his fingers, but it was nothing - just the last vestiges of the power he'd poured into the final pass.

[17/17 - Match Finished.]

122Samuel LaCroix

Samuel mustered any strength he had left. It didn't matter any more, the match was over. But he'd much rather have a stomach with no hole in it- Samuel's hand barely dropped down enough for the sheer electric power to push the spear down and against- It still ripped a small hole in his lower torso, with or without force. Samuel was launched up into the ceiling all the same, but slightly off mark. Samuel simply... Fell off of the ceiling, onto one of the window archways with no glass.

Barely still conscious, his systems chimed in. "Internal energy levels are at approximately 3%. This energy level will last 120 minutes before mechanical structures can no longer support themselves- Mechanical hull composition is battered. Aerodynamics down by 80%. Flesh composition is cut at various intervals- There is a wound approximately 1 inch from a vital organ. Suggestive medical car-- Samuel shut off his system's vocalization processor matrix. There was a tug at his shoulder.

People were pulling him down. Fans. Win or lose... Atleast he had earned some moderate amount of recognition.

[Final]

(Total copout, but the fight technically ended without crippling on either anyway. <_< Meaning this post counts for... Diddly squat.)

123The Thunder Tyrant

['s far as I can tell, it's not a cop-out. I figure if I just rolled away in my last post, or if you just didn't post again for the remainder of the fight so that no one would know the effects of my strike, it'd be a cop-out for either of us. I don't think anyone is gonna look at your post as a cop-out, if anything it'd be the opposite.]

Deitric grunted, flexing his fingers as he watched them pull Samuel down. He wanted to help his opponent, but he couldn't. He needed at least some down-time - he was weak. He was pretty sure he'd taken some of his opponent's last attack when he'd shunted the man away with his spear, but he couldn't be sure - pain tended to blend together pretty well after a while.

A breather would be nice, Deitric had decided long before the pats on the back started. The fighter moved to retrieve his weapons, but some fans had already done it and had brought him his effects. He murmured his thanks before as the items were handed off to him, along with one extra - a Leviathan brand bottle of water.

Placing his effects on his team's 'side' of the cathedral, the warrior twisted the cap off his water-bottle and took a quick swig before pouring it over his face, cleaning away the blood and dust and grime of combat. He poured it over his thighs as well, ignoring the surge of pain from the icy cold water. He'd take his place against his pillar from before, pulling out a small piece of what looked to be dark red bark stripped to only the finer semi-wood from a pouch at his belt, which he slipped into his mouth and began to chew.

He idly noted the medic fluttering around him, and the warnings before they jammed him with a needle and put some sort of bandage-patches over his wounds on his legs before leaving him be. Their words, actions, faces, all of it came through a haze of static as his adrenaline continued to pump. He kept his eyes open in case his teammate was going to fight, but otherwise he'd simply stay put. The crowd gave him some berth while he rested, so he'd be able to watch uninhibited.

[I'll be here tomorrow night. I have labs and s**t that make up most of Thursday.

Just my luck huh? I might be able to squeeze in a tiny match, but its the day I'm busiest on smilies/icon_xd.gif ]

((It's all good. I'll leave the glory of the first post to you then when you get back.))

James gave Deitric a thumbs up as he passed by. "You did good" he said encouragingly. That last fight, simply put, was awesome, it was much better then the ******** that came before it.

James then handed the kitten over to Deitric, after all, he couldn't carry the critter into a fight or anything.

James stepped up into the ruined insides of the cathedral, benches, stone, and pieces of pillars lay shattered, like, everywhere. He rolled up his sleeves to check his FIGHTER.

Well ********. Not much time left, barely any for a real fight.

"Well" he announced, "we only got time for a short spar, so, we might as well, I'm gettin' antsy" he gestured toward the other team. "Who's up? One on one till the end of time, no strikers"

127The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric took the small ball of white fluff and turned it about in his gloved hands. It looked up at him and mewled weakly - it probably didn't like the smell of blood, burning, and whatever sort of wood-fiber the fighter was chewing on. With a shrug, he slumped down to sit. James's fight was going to be "no striker", meaning he didn't need to stand about on the ready. He let the cat rest on his legs while he watched, clear of the crowd that had surrounded what they must've though as the "fighting area."

"Why would someone give us a cat.. Especially such a small one," the warrior idly scratched the top of the kitten's head. He was more than ready for the round to be over - that way he could get real medical attention, instead of the impromptu medical help he'd gotten that was mostly just to keep him "good" till he could see someone with a bit more equipment at their disposal, which would be after the match.

128Dragosani Kain

After much fuss from the Devilman finally had a pair of paramedics wheel him into the Cathedral on a stretcher.

"HA HAA! Deitric, well done, ol' bob!"

His arms were upraised in a victorious hailing to his Vice, his voice was grating and wheezy.

The medics brought Kain to lay at his teams sidelines and propped the back of the stretcher up so that he could be more comfortable.

"I watched you on the screen outside, that was a good fight, man."

Kain took a puff from his cigar, his smokes had been crushed so a fan had given him a stogey.

"Glad to see you didn't get too roughed up---..don't suppose I could snag my kitten back?"

129The Thunder Tyrant

Deitric grinned up at Kain, holding the cat up. The small kitten hopped from his hands to Kain's stretcher and made itself comfortable.

"I tried.. I wasn't expecting what he.. was. He looked human," the warrior admitted, with a touch of a sour tone in his voice. He'd been fighting under the illusion of a human opponent - or mostly human. That illusion was done away with post-piledriver, though.

130Dragosani Kain

"Sooo....what's the deal here? Where's James' opponent?"

He blew the smoke from his lungs with some aggravation.

Time was almost up and James was going to have to go without a fight. What a shitty buzz for him.

"If he was going for fashionably late he's dated right about now..."

He squirmed in his bed trying to find a more comfortable placement while at the same time trying not to disturb the sleeping kitten...he was going to have to find a name for that thing.

There'd be a few cracking sounds as his bones righted themselves in his body. For the best, but not a pleasant feeling or sound.

131The Thunder Tyrant

"No one has stepped out to face him," Deitric responded, idly chewing on whatever it was in his mouth. He turned to spit on the ground, the saliva tinted red - not with blood, but the juice from whatever he was chewing. He scratched idly at the white medical patches over the wounds in his legs while he waited to see who, if anyone, would step up to fight James.

132Fierach

James's FIGHTER beeped. Somewhat annoyed, the young fighter rolled up his sleeve to check it.

Time... over?

Well son of a b***h.

Son of a b***h.

Madre de dios.

Any onlooker could easily see that the Eredas heir wasn't happy about something. James backed out of the ruined cathedral grounds and started simply walking away.

He'd pause by his teammates though, to deliver a short message. "Well, I'm out for the day" he spoke, in a low and strained voice, obviously fighting back the massive wave of ANGRY that was within him at the moment. "Take care and try not to get banged up so badly in the next match alright, you guys know where to find me".

It wasn't hard too tell what was on James's mind, at all as he walked away and headed toward his girlfriend's crimson Dodge Viper. Even though he allowed his bangs to flow down the sides of his face handsomely, the pissed off expression could easily be deduced by the upturned corners of his mouth.

133-HoH- Judge

A Time-Traveling Judge flew out of a dimensional vortex and into the match area. He brought with him scenes from earlier in the fight!

Linken24 Wrote:

STRIKERUUUUUU- OFFENSE

"Linken of Team Clashing Elements, your manipulation of water is not authorized by the Heaven or Hell committee! This is a warning!"

Streea Barra Wrote:

The telekinetic voice was a literal roar in the minds of all around the Cathedral. Several fans would let out shrieks of pain as the blood in their brain began to vibrant violently, the liquid in their ears giving them the worst pop of their sheltered lives.

"Michael of Team Clashing Elements! Restrict your actions to the ring! Any further involvement of the spectators will earn you a penalty!"

sammisanX Wrote:

Though at the light intensity of Sam's electrical output passively, the shock would only paralyze them and possibly drive them to orgasm.

And he didn't honestly need superpowers for that.

Unless that's considered a superpower in of itself.

"Sam of Team Clashing Elements! Restrict your actions to the ring! Any further involvement of the spectators will earn you a penalty... and very likely a few visitors to your hotel room!"

And with that the Time-Traveling Judge was off... WHOOSH~!
