Uther would just smile now, a grin took his face again of joy. He during this time knew Azel was screwing with him in the sense of trying to null out his presence by using the crowd as a way to hide from his hearing and touch. However he also had peripheral vision. He caught Azel nearly, he rolled to his shield side being his left. Now his shield was nearly incfront of him so he could see from the sides somewhat and of course caught glimpse of Azel.
But more so there was another thing he probably did not Azel to expect, again there was a reason he moved in such a pace. Not a full charge and not a mere slow movement but a balanced speed in which he could control better.
As he would begin to see Azel move to his left he would at that exact moment come to a complete stop, now of course this was when he rolled into sight which he would begin the stop. From the fact he was not moving so fast he could do this but more so do what he was going to do next. With this Azel was in range of him, by a couple of feet and would make his strike.
He would slightly duck his head forward and slam his shield to the left in a way that made him move counter clockwise. From this his head was covered better by the shield like a turtle going into it's shell almost. The shield though would come in faster then expected, again because of the speed control Uther had, use momentum of his stop and weight to spin.
By lifting up his left foot only an inch and move in counter clockwise form his left side would move, his shield coming in again as noted faster then expected to slam in on the now standing Azel. This was a danger to Azel, it was a thick wall of metal, coming in at such force from the speed to where it could knock him down and the impact could probably knock him out at the worst case scenario. If not break a bone or two or just knock him down to the floor.
How could it knock him out? Well if it hit, again standing up the full force the blow would give would send him flying, the shock of the impact enough to knock him out. If Azel was more sturdy then this only a bone or two would be set ajar and broken. Or if he was very sturdy he would merely be knocked down a good 10 feet or more as the impact was going to be very heavy.
Now as for his head, again ducking it was protected greatly, and as this was all one movement Uther took this seriously. One movement to duck and strike at the same time. He of course did not expect this to end the fight but one may never know.
There was of course a reason Uther took this action, for one Azel spent most of his time taunting, and since Uther started out 15 feet away and only advanced probably 5 - 7 feet forward, this left a gap of 10 - 8 feet between Azel and Uther meaning Azel would have to take the time to roll 10 - 8 feet to Uther's shield side and stand up on top of the taunting the crowd and stomping his feet to the ground earlier. Meaning Uther probably would have stopped before hand as his intention was to cover that many feet in the first place.
So from this the chances again were high that he would hit Azel and in some possibility ending the match in one blow. If not then oh well, he would continue on with this fight regardless. But the fact Azel was pulling so much during his taunting of the crowd again as noted he was at high risk for being hit by this attack as even though Uther was slow Azel did give him an attack of opportunity by means of timing. So basically moment he would stand up would be when a strike would have been layed or would be in the process of attack which it would be very close to Azel and being a tower shield it was as tall or taller then Azel and being wider then the average person it had a lot of range considering.
In short...this one blow could actually decide the entire match if it connected, and most likely one way or another it would hit.
