Northern Basement Arena

Underneath the Leviathan Stadium, a large area has been cleared and divided up into four sections.

Upon the stony floor of the underground, a wooden platform has been brought in with a cloth mat stretched across it tightly. This will serve as the extra stage for the preliminary rounds of Heaven or Hell, where the fighters show their talent to the event coordinators, because there was an unanticipated greater number of applicants.

Preliminary Round fights have no time limit, but fights must be completed before the current round ends.

Fights go ten posts long.

A single penalty flag counts as a failed test.

It was room temperature in the northern basement, bright lights shined down hard upon the white mat making it glow like a cloud in heaven. It was this majestic scene that would serve as the setting for the preliminary rounds. In the center of the mat, Sieg could be found. He had arrived first and was currently alone in the arena. Sieg had great respect for the ring, and as such he made sure to leave his shoes outside of it. Sieg could be found doing bridges, with his arms crossed in front of his chest and letting the line between his head and his feet form an arc of balance and power.

His tight jumpsuit gripped his body showing the definition of the muscles that he sculpted in the heat of his own passion. The bright yellow jumpsuit glistened brilliantly in the light of the arena.

-but god carries me-

Almost like a mad bull making his presence by stomping his hooves into the dirt of a matadors arena would be Ryosukes barbaric opening entrance landing on the arena floor with head smashing stomp from both feet’s heals digging into whatever he was standing on to be classified as the arena.Ryosukes body build this time around would be at a higher weight class, such is the way of a natural born fighter training and building his body for any opposition in weight class for combat. Meaning what exactly? One hundred and ninety-eight pounds and standing at a height of six foot two, and an arm reach of 77.5", Ryosuke would be more than prepared for whatever to go down. Tucked in his belt would be the basic Marine crafted Tanto knife flowed by his Katana sword also tucked and latched inside the belt against his waist at the back. Of course, the only reason this s**t was being carried in the first place was because he didn't know anything about his opponent at all besides his fighting background. So what was different about Ry this time around now that everything was on the line?

To start things off, besides his new body build, Ry had cut his hair just a bit to prevent any pulling to the point it would affect his fighting ability. Also, every weapon in his arsenal was sharpened to a fine edge to get his "point" across (yes pun intended). That was the only difference it seemed, a well preparation for combat, and the stretching and whatever else had already been taken care of. If Ryosukes opposition wanted to go hand to hand then Ry would gladly strip himself of any weapon adding extra weight to his body that would prevent him from fighting properly, but that wouldn't be the only preparation made for this prelim..

Aggression, bloodlust, and a tyrannical attitude were all normal attributes for Ryosuke. His feet were parallel to the other and his arms also parallel and positioned at his sides flexed from inside his sleeved shirt while his hands were consistently pulling down in a clenched fist at his tight fit MMA gloves. A dream come true......So much of a good dream to finally fight in a tournament where he could take it to the limit that he had to bite down on his own lip just to make sure he was awake. Only a small dribble of blood escaped his lips which he quickly retrieved by following the bite with a lick. His eyes shot open, and a symbol similar to an emblem formed in a dark purple Ki(my source of power if ever used) would blaze on his back like someone shot a roaring flame at his spinal cord. His normal body heat temperature started to rise but only enough for small traces of sweat to fall down his left cheek. That same unorthodox power diminished before it became severe. To ever be seen again during the fight? Who knew?

It was all about his "A" game once the introductions were out of the way, though Ry didn't care for names and pleasantries. Try and kick his a**, or he's kicking yours is all he needed to think about, that is Rys way, and his law. Silent, but no where near enough silence to be at peace. Ry knew war was on its way..

Minomusho walked into the Basement arena with a heavy heart, this was one fight where he already knew the out come. The fight would have no flavor in his eyes, no life, not a single unexpected turns and twists. His Opponent was Sieg and he would overpower him in a single turn.

NO! It would not be this way, he would fight and while he might not win, he was gonna try damn hard to kick his foe’s a**, or for that matter inflict visible damage upon his foe.

“Sieg your time has come!” The Hazard roared, knowing that his foe had seen him hundreds of times and would probably laugh at him, “Today is the day when I shall have your blood upon my claws!” Drawing his Blade he waited for his foe.

Sieg would smirk at his opponent as he stood up for his seated position stretching and yawning, filling his body and mind with the oxygen he would need to fight his opponent. Sieg would then walk into the platform and say;"No need to be so dramatic. Its the preliminary rounds kid. Win your match for you and your team."

Sieg didn't seem to be phased by the mans threats or the weapons that he brandished. Sieg walked in the middle of the arena so that he would be placed about 12 feet from his opponent. Sieg would then begin to bounce on the balls of his feet, shifting in a single motion into his MMA stance. Sieg would inhale and exhale slowly, stretching open his tan tein.

Beneath Siegs bright yellow sleeves a strange distortion produced by an electromagnetic aura could be seen over Siegs forearms, hands, and shins. The skin on these limbs would tighten and to the opponent Siegs hands would appear more vicious and threatening as the muscles and veins upon them would become more defined.

Sieg would begin moving closer to the opponent with the shuffle step, making sure to keep his guard tight.

"Aw you-ah redi to meet yore may-kuh?"

Hunter Graves appears to be at least 6'1, no... wait, that's just hair folks, sorry about that. Too much cable:

8ShadowGay

((That link took me nowhere but some scripted garbage. Was that a pic of your character or something, cuz I need another.))

So this was "The Hunter"? Why was Ry not surprised, or amazed at all? Obviously this "Hunter" wasn't going to take Ry seriously, and after all that had been heard this was what would be presented to him today. It almost put Ry in the mood to take down his game face......Then, it hit him..

.......'The hell is he tryin' ta..??

Rys left eye out of curiosity raised while the right hovered just the same. First the eye, then a grin, slowly but surely that same grin formed into a larger smile. Testing him, or trying to throw him off his game and main objective, well at least to Ry it was in theory, but whether Ry had been right or wrong wouldn't change the fact he needed to stay enthusiastic and cautious this time around. (You didn't post your weight, height, or anything for me to know what your wearing weapons wise or whatever so I’m taking a guess) No sword? No gun? No knife? It seemed this guy was a pure hand to hand fighter, but until Ry had scanned him enough to know what he was ******** with he wouldn't be so hasty to run at the guy until some proof to his theory had been proven.

Circle...Ry would start things off by moving in sidesteps to his left trying to close the distance. He would be moving pretty slow, at the time being but his arms and hands would move about his upper body randomly every few seconds to change his stance for combat according to his opponents hip and arm movement.

((you copypasta the link into your winamp))

With a sudden indication of recognition of the motion or notion of a flashy circular action the groove god flows with a step, back-step, step of the toe into a body pop, can you hear the sound of his body pop,

the rustle of the leather belts squeak against the riff of canvas beneath his metal-leather attire and reflecting light bits dance of the glint of his raybans...

His motion traces the pattern two steps behind in the swirls of his long white hair, his wiry body looking something like an Albino Johnny the Homicidal Maniac with a streak of black going from his brow to the shoulder and dancing upward. Is this liquid dance? The circle motion seems no more difficult to follow than predicting the future of fractals...

10ShadowGay

((Uh...K))

This was starting to get annoying, but hell, Tamashii danced like this too during a fight, so this prattle dance didn't take Ry by any surprise, but since it was still unclear on what exactly his opponent was caring Ry would make it simple and try something else. The arena it self was never that large to begin with, so evading was possible but not enough to keep a long distance fight entirely with your opponent. Which was perfect, and since his opponent loved dancing back and forth then there would be Rys offense.

Or whatever noise a tanto knife makes once being thrown through the air in a forward flipping motion. Ry wasn't sure on the game his opponent was playing, but it didn't matter, it was a fight, so how his opponent decided to make it work was on him. The blade would flip and cut the air and reach its target in not even a full 2 seconds, possibly a lot less then that if you’re looking for an exact scenario. The target? The gut, and with his opponents excessive dance steps he would possibly be using his arms to guide his body in direction while actually "moving" in direction with his feet, which was perfect for Ry, moving randomly also left his gut unprotected(which you never really said where your arms were positioned, just how your legs were moving), and because they were so close, how would he dodge the knife in such a small arena?

Though Ry had to remember this was in fact the "GAIA WORLD" so who’s to say real life means s**t here. In any case had it hit the blade would dig into the gut from the belly bottom and cause excessive, and very heavy bleeding upon entry. Though if it missed it would simply fly far outside the arena because of the throwing speed and stab itself into a wall.

Where was Ry after the throw? Pfft, doing the same thing as his opponent, moving randomly to get closer, but he sure as hell wasn't dancing, and he didn't need to.

The answer was obvious... There was no way a tooth pick like Graves could outmatch the hypervelocity of the ninja-bullshitsu of Tamasheeee...

******** that...

That blade came curving straight into the madman's torso as he twisted, the tip slipping easily into the myriad of belts locking into a buckle loop and grazing him causing a small stream of blood to flow...

The spasm created by the sharp pain jerked his body into a sudden 45 degree pop as he reached for his side in agony, the tip still caught in the folds of alloy and leather, clenched tight, the brittle composite of his adversary's weapon would snap,

as the hand reaching for his side moved into the pivot, it found the gentle wooden handle of the short Zatoichi and drew a circle stroke riding the wind as he pinwheeled back, the blade following the line of the very same arm originally holding the Tanto...

Well what do ya know? This guy did have some heart in him for the fight after all. His counter still surprised Ry to the point his head did a double just to see how he moved his hips like that in the middle of a dance to avoid being stabbed severely in the stomach. Now, it seemed getting back and recovering from the damage he would gracefully unsheathed his katana, which in shape was identical to Rys Shiriasaya. But wait, these kinds of blades were used for assassination and ninjitsu, so why would he have one?

Good analysis or guessing as always for Ryosuke, now even after the showy dance steps he would have assumed his opponent would be familiar with Rys shinobi fighting style as well judging by what weapon of choice he’s countered with. Though this would make the second time his opponent has made another move and not gone on the offensive it would seem, which was fine, because Ry was already on the move after the throw and closing in with only a few seconds to pass. Unarmed? Hell no, in fact, Rys follow up attack would come right after the throw, which was really just used to help him break the distance.

Rys right sleeve of his shirt would hover over the right side of his waist were he also unsheathed his katana from behind his back. Left step, then pounce right and dash, in that motion Ryosuke would fire off towards his opposition and hold his blade at his right side behind his back.

WHEEESHIING!

That noise would be the sound of his blade cutting through air as Ry quickly responded to his opponent’s draw of the blade by swinging his own upwards from its sharp point sliding behind his back against the floor. From below his opponents belt-up the chest-on the chin, and possibly to the nose.

Those were the points the blades edge would possibly slash through to leave blood marked cuts moving up the body in a straight swing.

Before, during, and after the swing Rys body would have been low as he kept his knees bent and his head down below his opponents chest up until the swing. 4 Feet, at 4 feet was when Ry had made the swing.

What the Hell? Was that a Real slash by hunter Graves? The motions looked ok at first, but something about his pivot popped as his wrists locked and formed a wave distorting his center of gravity and launching him into an arial assault, leading the tip of the blade toward the shoulder of his adversary reaching for the katana to his back, and completing the verticle climbing round house to the head before the blade half drew...

Anthon Noire Wrote:

To the left indeed, but out of nowhere a flying kick before Ry even thought of snapping to the right? The right foot was closing in and not even a whole second to spare and think, and this was leaving Ry no time to move his arms up to counter, and since his right hand was already at his side there was only one choice of counter left. Head on offensive, and because his opponent was above Ry shooting a kick, and having the weapons advantage of being at higher ground, Ry would take the advantage of already being bent and low from the start.

As the kick came in, Ry would have no trouble getting just a bit lower to the point he could feel his opponents back leg slide along his hair. Meaning what? Ry had charged in from below the kick, but what did this mean for his opponent besides missing the kick? Simple, Ry first had to get a little lower than he had initially started out with, but once he did, he would have a complete unguarded waist and gut looking at him from either a back view of his opponent’s a, or a front view. Either way, Ry would say ****** the kantana sword and leave it half sheathed. Why? Simple, now that his opponent was air born Ry would take hold of his opponent’s waist at the belt line from both sides.

Next, using his opponents launching momentum and being air born already for gravity, and the fact Ry was dashing in under his opponent for extra speed, Ry would pull both his arms forward while holding his opponent by the waist send his face towards the mat with added force. With Ry below his opponent like this, getting slashed with his sword to stab or kill didn't seem to possible since he was under his opponents back, or stomach depending on how he jumped to kick.

Ry would be landing on his a** with his legs outstretched, while his opponent would be.........................

Well..Hmm...There were so many different ways for him to hit the ground, but its safe to say on his head and back, or face first followed by his stomach flopping onto the mat. Excessive bleeding from the head, or unconsciousness would be the end result had he hit as planned. Though if his opponent used his arms to stop himself from hitting as hard he would have bruised his arms or possibly broke them from the heavy gravity push down on his limbs from using his arms to take the force of the slam before colliding with the ground.

The move? A twisted variation of the Power bomb

Poor Ry: the "hurricane kick" trick, a somersault flip with a winding blade at shoulder level and side kick at head level meant there were two weapons of fleshy devastation aiming for him in a counterclockwise motion. The blade set to impact the shoulder would miss entirely as Ry lowered his center of gravity, barely avoiding the impact of the kick, just inches above the elevation of the zatoichi...

unfortunately, the difference in elevation meant Ry would dodge the blow to the head from the higher kick, and his shoulder would not be able to catch the gauge of the thin straight blade, however, his head was still in the path...

the only question remaining, was whether his skull could sufficiently absorb the impact enough to survive, and hopefully, make a fast recovery in the hospital....

A dark figure in a leather trench coat was traveling into the arena where the battle he yearn for would be forge. The man had an ominous appearence upon him , encourage to engulf everything into absolute calamity. This deadly entity was known as Darious Kaiq . The corroding aura that filled the atmosphere likely was conducted from his very presence , sensing a conflict with occur towards entering the establishment , as spotting him was easy for the 7 foot Castigaro Cross equipped to his back without struggle. Venturing within the area he sought out the foe who wished to battle him , staying latent he was within the pit until he notice the figure who was awaiting to face him , standing at the right end of the arena where this battle would be concluded.

Grasping lightly onto a cigar , he lit it with his skull lighter , passing that object through his cold lips , puffing it roughly as ashes dropped onto the ground. Now he had a composed attitude from the smoke that calmed his nerves briefly. Remembering someone was arriving with him , he yawns while awaiting for her to respond , removing the cross to make him more agile in this fight.Within moments he threw his jacket there , revealing his black metallic automail arm on his left arm , capable of being spotted by wearing his black muscle shirt.

23Ryugi Kazamaru

Silence...

Darkness...

Calm breathing... In, and out now... What is it you are here for?

To fight.

What is it that you fight for?

To protect.

What is it that you protect?

Those that cannot protect themselves.

What is it that you are?

A protector, a fighter.

What is your opponent?

They are a fighter.

What do they fight for?

I don't know.

What is this place?

Is it Heaven...

or is it Hell...

"Mr. Kazamaru...? It is time, Sir... You're up."

A door cracked, a piercing beam of white light stabbing through the darkness and falling across a figure dressed in a white coat. The figure rose and turned to face the man who had called to him. He took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly, his eyelids opening to reveal the red pupils below. Not a word was said from the man as he nodded slowly, blinking as he nodded, his silvery hair waving slightly as he began to walk out of the black room in which he had waited. The door was opened for him, and he stepped from the calm darkness into the bright light of the testing area...

This was it, this was the preliminary match up he'd been waiting for. He didn't know where Damion and Rae were, but he knew that they, too, were being tested just as he, himself, was. The time for thinking was over. It was now the time for action, and Ryugi Kazamaru would step into the ring, standing ready to take action, lightly gripping the handle of Ragnarok as he looked across the pit to try and find his opponent. Soon, it would be time to cast aside his doubts, his fears, and fight for all he was worth.

It was time to find out if this would be Heaven...or Hell...

24Lady Sierra

"Underground basement arena, underground basement arena under-- Ah!"

Tossing a slip of paper into a nearby trashcan, she descended a flight of stairs. Her preliminary match. This was the location she'd been directed to. The place seemed kind of sketchy, but what the hell. Whatever was awaiting her down here, she was going to have FUN.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs, She paused for a second. Golden eyes adjusting quickly to the dim light. Setting off across the floor, a bounce in her step she passes a silver haired man. Blinking at him for a second, she felt a faint hint of recognition.

But she moved on, right now he didn't matter. he wasn't the one for her.

Her eyes narrowed as she stepped onto a white mat laid out on the floor.

Lush lips parted in a smile as she spoke softly and with certainty.

"Darious."

She ignored the acrid smoke that wafted out to greet him from such an ominous figure.

Luminous almond shaped eyes, long pointed ears. Hair that shone like spun rubies was tied back. She was petite. A 5ft 6'' woman was slender with lithe, toned muscle. A curvaceous figure. She looked like she should be on someone's arm not in a serious fighting tournament.

A slender, snake like tail covered in a jointed tail spine gave off the impression that the little lady meant business. Her wings were held in tight against her back.

Bowing gracefully first to the judge who would reside over this little test, and then to her opponent she grinned.

She'd long since warmed up. Her body was limber and her blood coursed with anticipation.

Her right hand moved to her left hip, closing around the three and a half foot elven long sword. A tiny weapon compared to such a giant of a cross. But her blade had never failed her. The sword sang as it arched through the air.

She would move into a guarded ready stance, 5 ft from her opponent. A small distance. She wouldn't make a move until her opponent acknowledged the match had begun.

25Savoki Sanoci

Overwrought with the thought of causing more calamity tonight he stared at the foe he was facing during this , certainly she was quite cute yet that didn't concern a warrior on the battlefield. Grinning he tossed his cigar from the arena , acknowledging it wasn't the best method to relax the nerves before a battle , but none the less this battle would offically begin now between them.

Rising on the ball of his feet to purposely increase his agility and movement this would come in handy against a foe like herself . The legs were at shoulder length , and lastly arms midway closed to his chest he was prepared for a brawl , having his hat thrown off to show he was ready for a fight , knowing from this stance various maneuvers could be bestowed on his foe.

Since this momumental atmosphere was developed , Darious wouldn't dare make this boring at all. Flexing his muscles and rotating his head to simply crack his neck a few times , the dark clothed priest was eager to begin as he spoke before things advanced forward.

" Shall we start Madam ? " ,he smirked with evil plots upon her in this fight.

26Lady Sierra

Her smile turned into a grin. He wasn't going to go easy on her because of her sex, his demeanor told her as much. He was meeting her head on as an equal before she'd even made a move, and for that he earned some mark of respect from the elven woman.

Her left leg was forward, knee slightly bent, the right leg trailing, knee bent slightly slower than the left. The elven sword was held, one handed directly in the center of her her chest, tip pointing towards her opponent on an upwards diagonal, the left hand resting along the mid-blade's edge staying the weapon.

It seemed like it was always like this. Fights she couldn't remember, yet the feeling of sameness, always being left to make the first move.

Whatever.

It was ON.

Pushing off her hind leg, the right took the lead as she charged.

THIS WAS IT.

She lived again as the fight rose within her.

The passion, the desire for her sword to be wet with his blood. Was it her thirst or her swords? Perhaps it was a shared hunger for carnage? She would make him BLEED.

The blade closed the distance first and she dropped into a lunge attacking his left side (her right). The sword thrust would be aimed at his calf--

:: 1/10::

27Savoki Sanoci

Indeed he felt this similar passion when it involved anything combat related. Charging within the same pace as his female foe , Darious would give that corroding stare of destruction while rushing towards her. When she motioned for a lunging technique with her weapon , he smirked while he was approaching closer.

As they closed the distance , the velocity of his running was mighty as he willingly took the stab of the blade through his calf , although by the time they were this close he didn't give a damn by the sinister expression on his face by accepting the pain for this good fight.

Grappling onto her legs before finishing everything to get her off guard , Darious went for the double leg takedown to force his opponent crashing down the ground. If this fearsome maneuver was working next would he next used the low mount , positioned on the abdomen to keep his foe from rising altogether.

Already things would become rather brutal as the fact if this was successful and he landed on her , her weapon would be rather useless as he would thrust the blade through his palm , gripping it so she couldn't escape , while using a brutal blood choke with his bloody hand from behind her hand after tossing her weapon from view , still weaken , yet conducts it with the metallic automail arm against her throat to choke her out easily , and knowing it would be hopeless to escape it.

28Lady Sierra

As the blade struck home, it would sheath itself in his flesh dropping lower into the lunge, She grinned maniacally as her sword would find what it had been after.

Tendons.

He might have been willing to take damage to get to her, but it would be a costly blow as her sword would sever them rendering his left leg virtually useless.

As he moved to grapple her, he made a second mistake.

Such a move was best performed on someone standing upright. Teira was low to the ground in her lunge, making her abdomen a target hidden against her leg as her tummy brushed against the top of the bent right leg. And her legs, well the right was directly beneath her torso and the left was stretched out behind her keeping balance in the maneuver she had executed.

As he grabbed at her wildly her eyes flashed and she rolled to the side, pulling her blade free from her opponent's leg as she skirted around him rolling into a guarded crouch, her blade stayed across her chest on an upwards diagonal, dripping with sweet crimson.

He would be off balance, and she moved in again.

Whether he was still moving forward, if he fell or if he was turning to find where she'd gone.

She would move low, and she'd move fast again closing the distance. What part of his body he'd offer up to her remained to be seen.

::2/10::

29Savoki Sanoci

Being the Glutton for punishment , Darious wouldn't stress over his mistake although he was clearly not focus enough. Now he would be vigilant for the time being , awaiting for her next attack , sensing attacking in his condition would cost him dearly. He stayed impervious to emotion , feeling that pain while making the decision to find out more within her fighting pattern.

Learning from the blunder maneuvers he attempted now he yearn for her to rush again. This would likely determine the way how the battle would be while they fought like animals in this manner. Laughing this made him seem insane , but enjoyed it none the less. Now he waited there silently for his foe.

30Lady Sierra

His back.

'Perfect...'

She thought to herself. Her laughter echoed his as she giggled in peals of delight.

Pushing off her right leg, she sprung into a back flip. She practiced these off walls, but they were always so much more fun when she had a human spring board!

Unless he some how managed to turn around quickly, which would be near impossible with his gimped left leg, her boots would thud off teh back of his ribcage and his spine with bruising force.

The force of her launch off his back would likely be enough to knock him on his face as she would land once more in a guarded crouch a couple feet behind him. More if he really went tumbling.

:: 3/10 ::

31Savoki Sanoci

Surmise in this moment with the ability to see with is good vision sideways , telling him she was moving behind him to allow herself the chance to simply maneuver something deadly upon him. When she directed this springboard off his back , Darious turn his body slightly quickly halfway as he would unleash a potential punch to his bicep of the right arm with his metallic automail arm.

When doing this , as soon as the boots instead began to grasp his arm from behind , impaling a blade through the bicep to deeply inflict a wound to one of her shins.

The Satanic Automail arm is the device that replaces the left arm that was sliced off by Sanoci himself. Receiving the arm the day he entered the Church of Satan , this arm felt great yet the process was extremely dauntful and painful at the same exact time. Strengthen by the technology and black magic upon this black stainless steel that can withstand temperatures of a high caliber , Darious has a widen Scimitar blade that appears from the end of the arm to the wrist where its positioned for combat.

Because he used himself as a weapon , he suffered damage yet his adversity would be dropping on her back after the move. Smiling he moved forward slowly , respectfully giving both the chance to prepare each other , yet both likely had 1 leg working properly if successful , biting his tongue from the sharp pain his arm was dealing with , but continued without regrets.

32Lady Sierra

Her boots connected as he turned, and she had a wonderful moment of

'Oh SHI-!!'

As the blade passed through his arm striking offensively at her---

CLANG!!

Metal struck metal as the blade thwacked off her greaves, medieval shin guards at their finest! But the force was still enough to knock her backwards.

"UGN!!"

She winced as her back struck the floor, knocking the wind from her lungs. She rolled with her body's momentum a backward somersault into a guarded crouch as she gasped for a moment, drawing a sharp breath as she eyed her opponent.

It was unknown to her, how he was standing with his tendon's severed... but it didn't matter.

What did matter is that the fight was still ON.

Wiping spittle from the corver of her mouth with the back of her left hand, she lept forward into a charge.

Fast and low. Fast and low.

Her blade stayed across her chest on an upward diagonal as she closed the distance.

:: 4/10 ::

33Savoki Sanoci

This wasn't going anywhere with a wounded calf and his bicep was literally ******** over , but this didn't make him surrender one bit. Smirking this only influnce him to continue onward with the battle , not giving a damn upon the condition of his body.

Now as she charged once again he required a tactic to help him in the battle. Pondering upon it he would be slowly walking with one injuired leg , awaiting for her to arrive. He was on the defensive ready for anything she can dish out on him almost.

34Lady Sierra

And she would run right past him!

Errr, not quite.

She moved past his right side, and dropped further, her left leg kicking out as she balanced on the ball of her right foot.

There would be a sickening crunch if the blow landed. Her boot would strike the the outer side of his right knee. The good leg--- good no more?

That kind of kick was the kind that dislocated the joint and caused the leg to collapse in upon itself without the proper support.

But to make sure the damage was severe, the blade struck out once more, slashing at the right leg's tendon's too.

Always, she was guarded, lest her opponent had something up his sleeve--

:: 5/10 ::

35Savoki Sanoci

Only a naive warrior wouldn't guess her intentions after gaining the advantage early in the battle. Because Darious was still standing up tall , the next tactic thought out was the sagacious idea of stopping his movement altogether.

Having his right arm dragging about when she passed right by him , using his intelligence. What his opponent didn't realize was he had a weapon as well. In one quick motion when the kick was being unleashed , Darious Kaiq had his Satanic b*****d Sword holster near his right side , drawing it instantly with good reflexes as the kick was gonna be used , pointing it as the kick likely would collide , thus impaling through , while having the guard of the hilt to protect him from the stab of the sword just in case.

This deadly sword can be known for all Satanic knights. Equipped with a Satanic Hilt for the weapon and silver being forge into metal for a bright look , this weapon literally isn't that special , yet only followers of Satanism can properly use it , meaning since it was impaled because she didn't possess his blood it would be heavier to her, resulting in difficult attempt to free herself , yet his arm hurt like ******** to flex his elbow that fast from the injuired bicep , now turning around to face her face to face.

36Lady Sierra

A holstered weapon of great size vs the speed of an elf already halfway through her motion.

By the time he'd taken aim at her leg it wouldn't be there anymore.

A snap kick.

Never let your limbs linger lest you lose them!

But her sword would still be there as an afterthought.

CLANG!

Metal against metal once more as her sword sang solely for her ears.

A lamenting requiem.

If the hilt was indeed what was protecting against her sword that meant he had dropped considerably in altitude. Had she collapsed the leg? Or had he sunk of his own volition. While the former was certainly more likely, it wasn't quite for certain.

Either way, sharp pointy things had a habit of bursting out of this guy's body.

She moved in a spinning crouch, a dancelike move as she moved behind him. Now the snakelike appendage at her rear darted forward. It would strike at his spine, just between and slightly beneath his shoulder blades. The barbed tail would go in and snag the flesh just to the side of the spine. Aiming for paralysis, not death.

:: 6/10 ::

37Savoki Sanoci

He wasn't liking this battle , but at least she wasn't some weakenling in this fight. After the maneuver used saved his a** he required to protect himself against her. As she was moving so would he with a backflip midway , grappling the sword and revealing his bladed automail arm at the same time. For defensive purposes the right weapon was used to defend against the slash just in case , while using his bladed arm to thrust into the shoulder where she grasp her weapon with as he was landing , hovering up from above slightly with a planned assault though barely landing on his feet from the injury , requiring alot of strength to lift himself properly.

38Lady Sierra

She blinked.

o_O;;

There was no helping it, she blinked. She had no idea how he pulled a backflip from that position and with his legs the way they were.

He was so-- so-- NIMBLY BIMBLY! <3

It made her desire to make him stop moving rise within her. She loved challenges, someone who could take this kind of damage and keep fighting--- She liked it.

Because she liked seeing them reach their limit. Eventually, he had to BREAK.

To somersault he had to withdraw his sword, and as she was already moving backwards, the connection of blades was broken.

His acrobatics had just saved him dearly. Though she had no idea how, her tail receded back. He had lashed at her weapon. Had he thought it was her sword?

She made a move to get out of his way. The guys was massive, she didn't feel like being squashed by that kind of body mass. But her gawking had cost her. While she was blinking in disbelief she'd lost precious seconds of 'GTF outta' the way' time.

He struck at her but it would be at her waist, not her shoulders as the tail was the offender. And the tail was connected to her bum.

She was still scrambling pseudo-gracefully backward as she defended. Rotating her wrist her blade moved in a downward half circle (counter clockwise if it's to her right side, reverse if it's the left). Her blade would strike his knocking it away from her, but not before her breath hissed through her teeth.

"HRRRK!"

Her thigh stung where his sword had tasted her---

((To Noire:))

So...Here was the run down...

Noire launched himself in the air to make an aerial kick towards Ry's head while at the same time upside down he would be swinging his sword with the right or left arm towards the head also..

Ry, dodged the first kick by a sliver and somehow avoided the kick to his head by a few hairs only to witness a blade (Zatochi, which is not a curved katana blade, only straight edge) is now headed for........

Well, here’s the part that probably confused a lot of the crowd at this point into one of those WTF moments, but to make things simple..

It was safe to say Ry successfully evaded the kick by ducking and running in under his opponent to grab him by the waistline, or in his opponents terms "torso". So, even if his opponent had swung his sword over to Rys head----Seeing how Ry had ran under his opponents foot after the kick and grabbed, chances are his opponent would be swinging the sword at Rys arms or elbow rather than the head since Ry moved in below his opponent.

So, how did Ry avoid this one? Well....He didn't, well, not completely. In fact..

SWISSSHHHHH!!!

Would be a 5 in spread scar/slash mark on his (god knows which arm his opponent was swinging with, or how thick the blade is to know how easily it could slash through bone) on his left/right shoulder since the sword WAS lower than the kick and Rys arms were in the way. (Who's to say while you swing the sword I wasn't running in under you to throw? Exactly, at least that’s how you posted it)

WTF? How did Ry not loose his whole arm? Might be what his opponent would have thought before realizing......

BOOOM!!!!!!!!

Ry didn't need to change his move at all, the same tactic applied, but Ry would be dealing more pain in his left shoulder after his shoulder had a collision with the sharper edge side of the blade. This might have reduced Rys slamming speed for his opponent, but not enough to keep him from hitting the Mat hard in the fashion described before. Ry on his a**, and his opponent well....

...Flying through the air - Hunter made a grave mistake in underestimating the bloke's will to live. As Gravity resumed its normal flight plans,

Hunter had to break fall, but his break fall wasn't a typical variation of judo in that nation where skinny white men applauded in obligation, nay!

His roll toward the ground broke with tradition, - the sound of the Zatoichi- slick with life meeting the darkness of his blond sheath screamed orgasmically - like one too many sailors gettin' Craic on the sea. The virgin wood would be stained but his wrists would not sprain as he danced to a beat in his head, - a handstand breaking not his neck or skull, and his legs went flying over his spine only to twist as he hand hopped back in line toward the dull sound of a falling enemy.

He spun on an axis jumping hand to hand his legs rotating like a cyclone twisting it's way toward his adversary's knees.

41Tankie Sakoya

Upon, Ryugi's entrance into the ring he would be greeted by the appearance of his opponent.

An opponents whose 'gloved' hands were currently situated in the depths of his pockets. Brown hues settled sternly on the somewhat odd appearance of his soon to be opponent. Should, Ryugi take the time to survey the appearance of his opponent He'd see his torso absent of any clothing, but a long though simple white tank top, his legs adorned by loose black sweat. Coveting his feet, over priced black, red, and gray air forces. The most notable feature of his person a titanium baseball bat strapped to his back by a leather strap. Through a long sigh, the black male attempted to rid himself of the nervousness that plagued him. He was mildly successful.

His hands would quickly raise from his pockets a metallic shine present on them. They rose up to about chest level, his elbow bent a bit, long fingers curling together to form two individual fist. His feet were shoulder length apart, his left foot leading. His knees bent slightly. Bouncing slightly from one heel to the other in a further attempt to rid himself of this uneasiness, and in a attempt to build up his adrenaline as he assumed a classic boxers stance. Upon further inspection of his person, Ryugi would see his hands coveted by brass knuckle gloves. His neck would bring his head back a bit, signaling to Ryugi he was ready for his assault.

It was time to see if he was even enough of a fighter to make it past the prelims.

Why do people never just get slammed like the ol' days? smilies/icon_gonk.gif

Whatever this guy was made of, or whoever he was, he made it clear conventional wrestling techniques wouldn't do the trick this time round. So, Ry needed a better tactic, and after watching his opponent catch himself before getting his head slammed into the match, then quickly switching scrambling to his hands and STILL dancing for his offensive made things very difficult for Ry. Not so much difficult that he couldn't just do what anyone else would and kick the guy in the gut since its exposed, but rather give him the fight he was looking for.

And so.....

A quick drop on his a** would be Rys first counter, and once he could feel his cheeks touch the floor he whipped out his right leg and started to swing while using his back right hand to hold himself up from completely sitting on the floor of the mat. Next, while Ry would try to trip up his opponent from the left hand out of his two hands he was standing on, Ry would lift his left leg and try to strike his opponents unprotected gut to add to knocking him off balance. The force of the kick wouldn't do any credible damage besides getting the wind kicked out of his mouth. Though for any fighter catching there breath wouldn't be all that big a deal.

IF this succeeded Ry would scramble back to his feet or knees and try to pounce on top of his opponent for a side mount. of course Ry was also aware his opponent had a weapon, which is why he would keep his LEFT hand in reserve for what came next had this not worked.

Plesant as this was becoming , both of them were likely getting fatique from this battle. Licking the crimson blood that lingered on his blade , this was simply taunting her evily to express his emotion of slicing through her flesh. Wounded by the calf , and bicep he was receiving damage throughout the battle because of his fearless attitude.

Grasping onto his blade , he traced the blades within a x formation like defense ready for her to bring on the pain. Darious was indeed vicious and yearn to cause utter destruction to all. Overwrought with brutality he would give her the chance to attack like she has in the past.

" Yo Elven Witch your ready to continue." ,he smiled brightly with malice behind it , but was eager none the less.

44Lady Sierra

She sighed. The ladies first mentality was wearing a little thin-- couldn't he be the one to make a move already? It was like a lousy date.

Blackish liquid that sort of resembled blood rand down her leg, but the initial wince of the cut was all the attention the wound would receive. It was on the fatty part of her thigh and while it stung it wouldn't hinder her too badly. HE had given her much worse in their training. She wouldn't disappoint him now.

Oddly, while her bangs were slightly dampened with sweat, she wasn't panting as someone out of breath might be. It still pricked her lungs slightly when she inhaled from having the wind knocked out of her not so long ago--

But it didn't matter.

Grinning as he addressed her, her eyes flashed.

"If you have enough breath to chit chat, then LETS GO ALREADY!!"

She ran straight at him, he blade across her chest on the upwards diagonal--

What would he do?

:: 8/10 ::

45Savoki Sanoci

This time around he would cause some destructive colliding with his adversity , charging slowly yet agile enough to be deemed as running as he crossed his weapons into a x formation.

While this was occuring , Darious Kaiq made the decision to go for a thunderous tackle that involved him diving in literally , prolonging more pain by moving his leg that was injured. When this was happening of course if she tried to chop him upward the blades would capture it and a stab was utterly useless with the hilt guard and automail arm for required protection.

Because of the brutal strength he possessed by his days of brawling against other opponents , the dark clothed figure would do this to knock her into the ground likely , or withdraw oxygen by hitting her gut roughly by this maneuver or bruise the face depending on if she was lowering her body or keeping it normal.

None the less this battle was exciting.

46Lady Sierra

Surprisingly enough, being run over by what equated a human steamroller or some other crushing equivalent, wasn't on her list of 'Fun' activities.

She stayed committed to the charge just long enough-- A convincing feint.

Down and left she went, skirting around the brawler. Using one hand to help balance as she crouched on the ball of her left foot. Her right leg came swiftly about in a clockwise swipe aimed to take her opponent's legs out from under him. Her other hand, of course gripped her sword, wary and ready to block against any more sharp pointy things that lay in wait for her.

:: 9/10 ::

47Savoki Sanoci

Gullible as he assume the woman once again target the legs , acting like a leech in a way being crave by keeping his movement down altogether. Smirking as she made the motion of a crouch this was gonna end painfully. When she went for the strike with the leg , he rised it to leap away then press the ball of his foot against her foot at the attempted sweep as he was learning her fighting pattern.

She left herself open as if this moved was successful her movements would decrease as he pushed his satanic b*****d sword in a verical slash against the blade , making a cross like formation as he releases her leg to deliver a powerful knee strike to the ribs.

Because he kept her weapon pressed , escaping wouldn't work as he added his automail arm to keep her from properly defending , though this was only test if he could land the impact of his brutal strike.

'Good.'

She thought.

This man had no respect for his injuries. She was curious how his leg was working with no tendons to attack the muscle to bone and make it function. But she'd stranger things.

He'd ceased to amaze her with his physically miraculous maneuvers and now she had come to count on it, for she too had picked up her opponent's pattern as was natural.

She would attack, he would look for an opening and try and attack it. And because she was attacking low, it most likely meant the attack would come from above. And it did.

'BINGO.'

He was facing away. He would have to stop his charge and turn to stomp on her--- The leg swipe retracted as she now crouched on the balls of both feet

CLANG!!

Their swords met again as he attempted to pin her. By now, she was like a tightly coiled spring.

UP!!

She pushed up, her muscular legs straightening as her body heaved upwards, her sword binding his blade and pushing it away in a circular motion that would overthrow his balance and center of gravity.

But her main reason for allowing this deadly proximity?

SNAP!

And a Crackle, Pop?

The four ebony wings that had stayed furled against her back for the duration of her fight snapped open with devastating force. A swan can easily break a human' arm or leg with it's beating wings. THESE, these were 9 feet in span for the upper wings and 7 and a half feet in span for the lower ones.

They snapped open with the striking force a small wrecking ball, slamming into his sword arm, his sword, his ribs and his face in an upwards sweeping motion something akin to a massive, feathered uppercut.

She turned her shoulder into it, moving with the momentum. She didn't care if he shoved all those pretty swords through her, if he mangled her wings---

She drove herself viciously into him, laughing.

It would shatter bones--- ribs- arm-- jaw-- who knew what the damage would be?

She was confident that he wouldn't die on her. She'd seen the kind of abuse he could take.

Remaining strong the satanic priest didn't show any particular mercy within the battle and neither did his foe.

As their swords clashed he stood his grounds , not allowing her to ruin his gravity by keeping the might of his swords great by flexing his muscles and channeling more energy to only weaken his balance barely while proving to be a troublesome opponent.

As the blades were gripped tightly the wings were appearing which he truly forgot about within the fight. As he unleashed parryed the wings 1 of them smack him roughly in the face , busting him open , yet he used his almighty teeth to keep it grapple while the counter with the swords after the sweeping motion would be slightly impaled. If she planned to drag them he would ram with a tackle to drop her to the floor , having no regrets for his wounds nor his life.

Whether or not he failed he gave everyone a display of what will arrive in Heaven or Hell 2008.

51Lady Sierra

Ebony feathers flecked with spittle and blood as both bodily fluids poured from his mouth where he'd sunk his teeth into one of her upper wings.

She laughed, sounding something like a delighted child as she reveled in the final moments of this bloody match.

Golden eyes flashed, a feral darkness moving behind them as she grinned at him none too sanely.

She wouldn't drag him, simply dislodge him from her wing.

The sweet crimson of her foe's blood mingled with the strange blackness that bled from one of her mangled wings, running in darkened rivulets over her body. It was warm and the smell was like a rush as she breathed it in. Her sword was slick with it, happily whetted for the moment. She extended the wing he was biting into and flapped it.

He had one of two choices, let go of his own choosing? Or have his jaw dislocated/broken and then let go.

She stood still otherwise, in a pool of gathering blood. Ruined feathers scattered at her feet.

The fight was over, she had no more use for him.... for now.

52Savoki Sanoci

Releasing her by choice it was pointless to continue this since officially they ran outta time. Landing on the ground he suddenly notice how brutal these wounds were , using that will to fight to decrease the pain overall.

Rising he would shrug off the injury , staring at her before walking away commenting before he vanished. " Nice fight gorgeous. If we meet again it won't be as easy for ya babe." ,he chuckle as he limp himself towards the staircase , managing enough strength to reach his location .

53Lady Sierra

She simply grinned and stuck her tongue out at him.

As he disappeared, limping up the stairs her eyes darkened and she stared at where he had just stood with a solemn expression. Speaking after a moment,

"Nor for you."

And with that, all seriousness faded from her face. Bowing quickly to the judge and grinning once more she skipped off toward one of her teammates to observe their fight now that hers had finished.

Not a care at all for the fact that she was covered in blood. Some of it 'hers' some of it not.

Her thigh stung absently, and one wing drooped as she furled them against her back once more.

A blood spattered beauty.

It was time to see if he was even enough of a fighter to make it past the prelims. Ryugi was quiet, calm, and focussed. He studied his opponent, and took note of his odd attire, and slightly unconventional weapon. But none of that really mattered. His outward appearance meant nothing. The appearance of his weapon meant nothing. All that mattered was the man's actions. It was clear he was nervous, and it was understandable. Ryugi had never seen this man in the tournament before, and he'd been in the last two, taking second with his team the first. But, nervousness had no meaning here, no place here. Here, the bouts were not about winning or losing. The bouts were a test of one's ability to fight, and their actions. Nothing more. Pass, or fail. Thats all that mattered here.

Ryugi's red eyes would glance towards the young man in front of him as the white clad man spoke for the first time. His voice was calm and smooth as silk as it flowed easily from his lips.

Good luck, Sir. And may we both pass this first test of skill...

That said, Ryugi would grip Ragnarok's handle, and pull the blade into an attack position. His gauntlets would bend at the fingers as they fell into position, and then, Ryugi charged ahead towards his opponent. His opponent made no move to attack, which meant Ryugi would have the first move.

Once within range, he swung Ragnarok in a horizontal slash from right to left, aiming to hit the man somewhere in the midsection. Ryugi wasn't worried about severely injuring his opponent. Afterall, that weapon of his couldn't possibly be just for show, and as he wasn't weighted down by heavy armor, he'd likely avoid the strike anyway. However, time would tell.

The Preliminary Match had begun...

One Ankle was all hs opponent had taken hold off, ut his opponent also had to remember Ryosuke was the only fighter t the time after kicking his opponent in the stomach, which is why (as posted in my last post) Ry would scramble to his feet to pounce on his fallen adversary. While trying to scramble Ry only had one foot free to him, but he also had his tow arms. At the time of trying to get up his opponents weight if he had fallen would have made it harder for him to get his (dunno which leg) free.

ry continued to wiggle his leg from under his opponents "girth" with a push and pull until successful, in which......Pop, was his leg going free before this ankle lock and "twist" could be completed. Though there was no time to celebrate, and Rys opponent would still be on the ground.

It was now or never.

Ry plowed off is knees diving at his opponent to take the male position by trying to tackle him back down to the floor in case he were also scrambling to get up. In which, his wist, and stomach would be slammed into by Rys shoulders and head. If succeeded Ry would sit on his opponents waist.

Ry would proceed to GNP (ground ad pound) with no remorse. If Lu-Bu taught fighters technique in combat, then Rock Fist taught fighters how to become a beast.

He simply nodded at the mans words. While brown hues would subtlety take sight, of Ryugi grasping the hilt of his weapon. The first assault was on it's way, his body tensed as his nervousness slowly began to envelop him.

"Oh man, Here he comes ..."

The thought echoed within the fortress that was his mind, as his advisory charged his sword tightly gripped between his fingers. KC's right foot instinctively retreating back, soon afterwards Ryugi's attack came. A horizontal slash executed with his blade, Kc's mind raced with possible reaction to this attack, and he quickly settled on one. His upper body would fall to it's right, while lowering. Creating a duck that placed him under the dangers of Ryugi's attack. Having attained this new position he began his counter - attack.

During his dodging maneuver his left hand been placed behind his back, for what reason? To retrieve the combat knife that always remained in a holster concealed beneath his large shirts. His long fingers curling around the vase-like handle. His left arm lashed out in a attempt to stab, Ryugi in his right side. The blade of the knife slender enough to slip through ribs, which was what Kc wanted. As he did this stab his right leg would move him to Ryugi's right side as he attempted this.

The signs of nervous nature present on his being slowly diminishing. The test of skill was underway.

?? So Ry was being grabbed and motioned to be flipped over? Well, while his balls felt like mush after getting the low shot, the rest of his lower body was still in the dominant position. Rather than start rolling over like his opponent had planned, Ry would just..

Get up?

LOL, why not, its not like his opponent was in the position to govern how Ry moved his body off of him since he didn't take Ry's neck or arms it seemed. So that was that..Ry sure was a slippery b*****d, which was good for him it seemed. So what happened now? Well, Ry was on his feet and motioned 4 feet back from his opponent while I guess his opponent is still on the floor?

To be a proper sports man Ry would either wait for his opponent to grab the sword and swing for the legs, knees, or he could stand up and both of them make the final blow. Either way, Ry's eyes were gunned at his opponent...Watching, and waiting..

However, it might have been more wise for him to take a little more time to study his opponent and his abilities before charging in to try and strike him. Other than that, the attack with the knife was rather well done, or rather would have been, had Ryugi not countered.

Despite the man's skill, he'd neglected considering all the different variables of the attack he would have unleashed. As the man pulled the blade, aiming to stab Ryugi in the side, Ragnarok whizzing over his head, he'd soon find Ryugi's right leg, clad in his heavy boot, heading straight towards his relatively open chest in a powerful kick.

Ryugi's body and picked up a slight spin from the weight and momentum of Ragnarok's motion, which allowed him to flow with the movement and pull his leg into the perfect kicking position. It was a tried and true combination of attack and attack. Ryugi was interested to see how the man fared.

"Bloody bugger's got a spine like a shark and a belly like an asp" Hunter Graves noticed the man had some crazy antigravity powers and decided to do things the old fashioned way. Kicking his legs up and then arching them down he threw his arms back and down toward the ground as his coat flew off he caught the collar with his left hand and spun a pinwheel kick toward Ry's face while pulling the coat shortly behind like a large net with the very obvious intention of having it cover his fishy opponent as quickly as possible.

It wasn't that, Ryugi's opponent had ignored the possible outcome for his choice of attack. He had just chose not to take notice of them - wait. Yeah he had pretty much ignored the fact that, Ryugi's foot was in the perfect position for a kick, and his chest was left completely open.

THUD

Ryugi's leg came to connect with, KC's chest. Though the pain was there, and felt as if a few of his frontal ribs had cracked. As a warrior he couldn't allow such pain to hinder him to extremes. His planted feet would stop, the young warrior from falling to his butt. Ryugi's momentum would call for the kick the remain pressed against his chest for a short while, allowing for Kc's strong arms to come and wrap around his foes leg. His right coming from underneath at where, Ryugi's knee was. His left arm coming from above a few inches down.

If the grab proved to be successfully, his knife would be aiming to Peirce through the boots, and into the backs of Ryugi's leg three inches below his knee. Should the make up of the boots prove to strong for a titanium forged blade to pierce through, it would be aided by ki channeled into the blade by, KC. Using his great strentgh given to him as a super human. He would then, lift up with his torso while rotating his hips to the left.

Hoping to have Ryugi's back slam hard into the surface of the ring.

62Ryugi Kazamaru

The grab worked very well, however, Ryugi's boots were made of tough dragonskin leather. This wasn't to say that the knife wouldn't pierce them, just that it would take more time than KC would really have as constant pressure would have to be placed onto the material for it to give. Why would it take more time than he had? Well, he was about to find out.

Ragnarok's sideways motion had finally stopped, and now, Ryugi brought the flat side of the blade across, hard, towards KC's head. Needless to say, with both of his hands gripping Ryugi's leg and trying to stab it with the knife, he'd have nothing to really protect his skull from the blunt force trauma it was about to receive. Accompanying this strike would be a chambering motion as Ryugi's captured leg served to pull the man into the blade's attack to his head. Ryugi too was quite strong, and his strength allowed him to wield his weapon at high speed, at least when it came to his type of weapon. The end result would be an attack unleashed before KC would try to flip Ryugi...

Nothing was ever easy for KC. He always had to fight a little harder, or take that one extra step that he felt shouldn't have been needed. Ryugi had just presented him with that situation, where KC would be forced to take that extra step in order to complete his simple slam. The flat side of large sword streaming down to impact the back of his head, Ryugi's leg moving him up towards the attack, but he had a plan of defense.

Ryugi was correct in his assumption. There was nothing to protect him from Ragnarok ...

Except the titanium baseball strapped to his back. There was still the fact that, KC hadn't seen the sword coming for him, so how would he be able to defend against something he was unaware of? Well, KC's acute hearing allowed him to hear the swoosh sound occur behind him. He quickly decided it could only be two things, Ryugi's fist, or Ragnarok. Ragnarok seemed like the better choice. Arching his back forward just enough for the flat side of Ragnarok to slam against, KC's bat.

He had not escaped all damage however, as a helluva sting was present on his back from having his bat forcefully pressed into his back from Ragnarok slamming into it, but it seemed Ryugi would not escape all damage either ...

Ryugi would wince a bit as he felt the leather of his boots begin to give from the force of the knife. He didn't have much time left... So, he'd make the most of it.

Using his only leg still standing, Ryugi would jump as hard as he could, pushing every bit of force he could into the jump. His body would rocket into the air, and if KC didn't leg go, he'd simply be dragged up along with Ryugi. This act would cause several things to happen besides the jump itself.

First, it would cause KC to be dragged into the air below Ryugi, if he didn't let go.

Second, it would cause Ryugi's leg to be straightened out below him once more due to the change in position.

Third, due to this position change, the knife would be pulled from the boot, allowing Ryugi to come free of harm.

And fourth, if KC hadn't let go, it would give Ryugi's free leg a prime target to kick. That target would be KC's face. Ryugi would kick at the man's face with his free leg as the pair headed up into the air, and, if the kick connected, Ryugi would use the leg to forcibly pry KC off of the gripped limb. Also, Ragnarok was still in Ryugi's hands, meaning that he would still be able to use the blade to attack his opponent after their shift in position, assuming his kick and prying motion wouldn't be enough.

All of this would have happened if KC hadn't had a sudden stroke of genius. All he had to do to quicken this slam would be a simple maneuver of his foot. By moving his right foot back with mild force towards the ankle of, Ryugi's only stationed foot. He could destroy the connection it held with the surface of the ring, and bring Ryugi's body to slam into the ring with full force, before Ryugi had even made his forceful jump. Just like he had earlier intended.

With their position, there wasn't much Ryugi could do, but hopelessly struggle as he felt the pain surge throughout his body, from being forcefully slammed into the ring. Or at least thats what, KC wanted.

All nervousness had faded. KC, just enjoying this test of skill.

67Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi fell back, taking little damage from the slam, but not before he'd chambered his other leg in towards his body. As soon as he hit ground, the chambered leg shot out towards into the body of KC. At this distance, and with his grip still on the leg of Ryugi and his knife, no amount of turning, bucking, diving, rolling, or dodging would be able to prevent the powerful kick from slamming into the body of the man.

Of course, unless he let go...

In effect, the slam hadn't really negated Ryugi's attempt to free himself, simply changed the way it was executed. This meant that the knife hadn't yet pierced the thick material of Ryugi's boots, but was starting to get some headway now, the metal tip was now barely poking under Ryugi's socks. The effect of the powerful kick would be the same, yet different. Instead of the kick hitting the face of KC, it would aim to hit him in the torso, hitting his already injured ribs, and also serving to damage him further. Ryugi still had Ragnarok in his hands, and as he fell, he slipped the blade around and moved his hands over his head, the handle still firmly in his grasp. Then, in a single motion, he'd stab the blade down the length of his leg, sliding the blade along its length to pierce into the undefended stomach of KC, as well as putting his knife arm in immediate danger. Both legs, the one being held and the one kicking, would serve as a guide for the blade, and also prevent the weapon from being knocked away from its course.

If the attack hit, it wouldn't be fatal, but the gash would be a deep one, running up from the stomach to just below the sternum, the sharpened edge of the blade likely carving into the bone, causing pain and bloodloss as well as weakness due to said bloodloss. Superhuman or not, everyone generally needed blood... And to think, all of this over one little gash to Ryugi's leg. Was it really all worth it?

Which he did.

Of course the action wasn't of his own will. The powerful kick had aided him in letting go. Ryugi's foot impacted into the black males body, his grip terminated, the knife removed from it's spot in the dragon skin boots, though still clenched tightly between KC's fingers. The kick held enough force that caused for, KC to slide back five feet before regaining his balance. The effects of the kick was not exactly what Ryugi had hoped for, instead of further damaging KC's already cracked ribs it would just cause a helluva a bruise to surface at the spot of impact.

In a quick movement of the hand, his knife was placed back in it's holster.

Meanwhile, his right hand come to grasp the handle of his titanium forged bat. He brought it down before his chest area, it's form parallel with the mans built chest. It was about 3 feet in length, 4 inches in girth at it's fullest section, and 2 inches at the handle. Brown pools remained locked on the what should be erect form of, Ryugi. He released a deep sigh, disappointed in himself as he was most likely making this test of skill uninteresting for his opponent. He hoped to change that with the aide of his unorthodox weapon.

70Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi was freed. Finally! Thats all he really wanted. Fighting while standing on one foot was getting tiresome, and so was hopping around and doing close range combat while his opponent tried to stab his leg. The leg, by the way, did indeed have a bloodied scratch running down it where the man's blade had caught skin. Ryugi would repair the boots later after his match, but for now, he had bigger things to worry about.

What comes up, must come down. The same was true for Ryugi, and after he'd reached the uppermost part of his jump, he'd begin to come down. But his position had changed. Now, his legs were bent and his body was hunched over, Ragnarok being held over his head in a powerful cleaving slash, aiming to bring the weapon down onto his opponent. Of course, Ryugi could also land on top of him with his feet if he so chose, but that was unlikely due to the positioning of the two fighters.

What ... to ... do ...

He had so many options to choose from, yet so little time to choose. Perhaps was the time he stopped thinking, and just fought? Yeah, that sounded about right.

The grip his right hand held on the bat intensified, his left hand also coming g to grip the bat under his right. He made a series of steps to his left, placing him to Ryugi's right, and out of the path of his powerful slash. Watching as the powerful Ragnarok would descend possibly rupturing the arena floor.

Should this be the case the moment, Ryugis blade made contact would be the same time, KC's arm would lash out with a powerful swing, his bat aimed to impact at the back of Ryugi's head.

Though, Ryugi's didn't seem like the type to just make a full on attack like that, and leave himself so widely open . Should this prove to be true, then it wouldn't hinder KC's plans as he would still make a swing at the mans head. Wether or not Ryugi's blade hit the ground he would still have a significant amount of downward momentum, that should prevent him in acting accordingly to the powerful swing.

72Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi's eyes were watching every movement of his opponent as he moved off to Ryugi's right side. Ryugi already knew the attack wouldn't strike its target, and so he already began to try and think of how to get out of whatever KC had planned for him. Just before Ragnarok hit the ground, the red orbs caught sight of a glint of light off of the metal bat as it shot out to move towards Ryugi's form...

-BAM-

Ryugi's attack slammed into the ground, and immediately he ducked his head as low as he could, his cranium zipping under the attacking bat as it headed towards him and missed the back of his skull. In the same instant, Ryugi's body shuffled around to the other side of Ragnarok, yanking the handle with his right arm and pushing with his left with all his might might, the blade tearing its way out of the ground as Ryugi's legs pushed him ahead, the metal form of Ragnarok held across his body in a protective metal shield of sorts as Ryugi shot towards KC with intent to ram directly into the man's body as the bat and arms were still recovering.

Ryugi wouldn't have been able to swing Ragnarok into a blocking or attacking strike on its own after hitting the ground like that, thus, he improvised, and attacked with the side of the blade as he pulled it out of the ground, ultimately making for a much quicker strike than if he had simply tried to pull the blade out of the ground and then moved it into a standard attacking position. How would his opponent react to the quickly moving Ryugi?

He had missed his swing. Which was just as he expected.

From the swing he had left himself in a wide open position, so he almost knew, Ryugi would not let this opportunity go to waste. As such, the instant he felt his bat impact air, he would forcefully pull onto the blunt weapon.

Bringing it it before him in a diagonal position. Then it came, Ryugi lunging at KC with the full intent to ram him, as Ryugi would be moving forward KC's hand would position themselves at the 'back' of his bat to avoid having his fingers crushed. The flat side of Ragnarok crashed into his bat, for a moment he feared the bat would crumble from the force, but dismissed this as it seemed to easily withstand the pressure applied to it.

Though, KC was unable to withstand the force, though having avoided damage except for the stinging in his hands, he was forced back another 6 feet.

He soon would charge forward though, his bat gripped tightly in his hands.

Though, KC was unable to though having avoided damage except for the stinging in his hands, he was forced back another 6 feet. Ryugi's strike connected and sent the man skidding backwards roughly six feet. However, he wasn't going to give any quarter. As soon as the two fighters made contact, Ryugi would continue to run, each step pushing him into KC. Then, once Ryugi had made contact once more, he would shove Ragnarok into KC as hard as he could, hopefully with enough force to send the man stumbling back another 6-10 feet...

Of course, Ryugi also knew that KC could spin to either side to attempt to shove Ryugi away, as was common in these types of clashes, thus, he watched carefully for any movement in his opponent's body movement that would signify an attack on his part to give himself an early warning to such an attack. How would his opponent cope?

Looks like, Ryugi wasn't going to let up. He wasn't going to give his opponents an inch. Just was the way, KC preferred.

He allowed the muscles in his legs to tense going against Ryugi momentum, hopefully stopping Ryugi's charge. Or at least slowing it down, since there was a distinct difference in strentgh between to to, he probably only slow his charge. In which case, his right leg would shoot forward in a front kick for the unprotected thigh of Ryugi's left leg.

It was a powerful kick one that KC hoped despite the target he aimed for would cause, Ryugi to fall forward. In which case he would take advantage of his forward momentum, and quickly spin off of Ryugi, going right. Or to Ryugi's left side.

The spin would allow for his left arm to guide his bat to hopefully impact at the part of his back where his neck, and said back joined.

If the initial kick failed, he hoped to at least get the spin thing off.

In which case, his right leg would shoot forward in a front kick for the unprotected thigh of Ryugi's left leg.... There was only one problem with KC attempting to perform this move. As Ryugi was charging back into him, his legs were the only thing keeping him upright. Once the one leg was lifted to perform the kick, KC's body would only have one place to go due to the forces involved. He would fall and topple backwards before the kick could be pulled off, essentially halting the move. And Ryugi, also due to the forces involved, would fall right down along with him, Ragnarok's length serving as a metal barrier that would prevent the dark skinned man from moving away once he hit ground.

As the pair fell, Ryugi would bend his knees slightly, aiming to pin KC's legs under his own, while Ragnarok's length served to pin his chest and torso down, as well as holding KC's bat down against his chest. Of course, this position left neither one any real room to attack one another, as Ryugi's body was moving to pin KC, and KC would likely be pinned by Ryugi's body. Which meant, ultimately, that this move would wind up in a tie as KC attempted to get out of the position they were in, and Ryugi tried to keep them there.

That's what happens when you don't think your actions through. You could end up like, KC pinned to the ground with no room for attack.

Only able to press up with his arms against, Ragnarok as Ryugi would used it as a tool to pin him down. While his legs would maneuver, and squirm trying to free themselves from this knelt down position.

KC, had contemplated a head butt, but with two slabs of metal separating them this was not the best option. He also contemplated a shot for the groin, but with his knees pinned down, it would only fail.

However he would hopefully stop a shot to the groin happening to him by having, Ryugi occupied with trying to keep, KC pinned down. Probably until the fights end.

Though it seemed like KC, had nothing to fall back on to escape, he actually had a couple thing to fall back on.

However, he'd save those until the beginning of the actual tournament.

78Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi could see it in his opponent's eyes. This was as far as the fight would go here. And that was fine with him. Ryugi would push off of Ragnarok, pulling the blade along with him and get off of his opponent. He'd then stand, brush himself off, place Ragnarok on his back, and then, he'd offer a hand to his opponent. He'd smile gently, a major change from his cold features earlier as he looked towards his opponent.

You fought very well, my friend. I'll look forward to fighting you once the actual tournament fights begin.

Name's Ryugi Kazamaru by the way, what's yours?

And thus, the fight ended as it began. A friendly competition of skill and ability, and nothing more.

Sieg bounced his heels up and down during the step, reducing the friction between the floor and the balls of his feet; allowing him to move faster. The thing about this technique was that it allowed Sieg to move quickly, while being balanced and ready to strike at all times.

The opponent would begin to circle counter clockwise but Sieg would move diagonally in order to stay in front of him as he began to circle and to keep his body facing the opponents. Minomusho's blade was held in his hand at the ready and Sieg would attempt to get a measure of control of the opponents weapon. As soon as Siegs arm reach entered just inside the blades striking range, he would attempt to jab his lead left hand out and grab the blade in a tight vice. He would grab the weapon by the upper middle part of the blade. He would hold the blade so that his thumb was was closer to the hilt than the pinky.

Despite the tight grip Sieg had on the blade his hand was not cut nor did it bleed. The nature of Siegs tekken would be revealed.
