No more ties.
No more time-ups.
Rage had fought Azel once; it was time to make up for his mistakes against Frozen Flame and show the world that even a Glacier had to Fracture at some point.
With the man in front of him, he had an idea of what he was dealing with, but he had learned to never underestimate his opponents, even those he had faced down before. "I gotta say, I'm impressed," he said, tossing his blue bandanna into the air as a wave of spiritual energy washed over the stage, blowing his hair out of his face and his bandanna behind the curtains, "at least you didn't forget my name."
Several pops and cracks erupted as he took care of his knuckles, neck, knees, shoulders, elbows... knuckles again....
"Feels good to be back in my... real... eeeeeyaaaaaaaaahhh... body," he said with a big yawn, not seeming to take the situation seriously. "Running around hidden from the world is nice, but I think it's about time people saw who I really am."
There was a certain bustle from the audience as people got a better look at the man before them.
"So Sakura is...."
"Wait, I know that guy...."
"... not really a woman?"
"Sakura, Rage, it doesn't matter to me! I wanna see him kick some a**!"
"... from Team Player One in the first..."
"Ooh... I hope he doesn't have a girlfriend!"
"Yeah! He was one of the generals that saved Barton years ago!"
"He really is the Legendary Hero!"
"... hot in BOTH of his forms!"
And with one sudden, combined voice....
"SAVE US, DRAGON KING!"
Dragon King? It had a nice ring to it, although he couldn't shake the feeling he had heard it somewhere before. It couldn't just be coincidence, but then how did the entire audience know how to...
Get on with it and figure it out later!
... whatever. Strange things had been happening around him ever since he joined this tournament, but he couldn't stop to figure out just why. He had things to do, places to go, snot to beat out of people. He had enjoyed his battle against Azel the first time - but this was the real deal, and he had to pull out all the stops.
Sakura's baggy clothes fit perfectly on him, still just a tad loose but showing that Rage had some meat to him. He wasn't huge, but he wasn't skinny, either, just under six feet tall and keeping his stance low. "You asked me to dance last time," he said, letting Azel have the first attack in their early bout.
"It's time I returned the favor."
Few people could smile in a fight for their lives on the world's grandest stage.
But Rage could taste the victory.
"Heaven or Hell....
LET'S ROCK!"
He'd have to treat Azel like a new enemy, or he'd get comfortable in thinking that he could predict what they were going to do next. Without too much warning, he took off at a dash across the stage, a new camera system getting a wide shot an inch above the ground, catching his feet pounding the wood beneath them while his body above continued forward.
This was the real deal - there wasn't a "maybe" anymore, it had to be win or lose, and Rage was gonna have to put on a hell of a show. As he ran his left hand grabbed the grip of the katana at his right hip, seeming to be at the ready to draw it as soon as he was within range. That was the impression he wanted to give off, anyways, because it was half-right.
As soon as Rage got in range, his left foot pushed off the ground while his right quickly came up as far to his chest as possible. Left arm drew his blade half-way, not to slice, but rather to slam the handle into Azel's chin with the built-up momentum. He was hoping that his opponent would be expecting something different, and would make a jaw-shattering mistake.
If successful, he'd use his right foot to kick off the man, landing a short distance away and preparing for a counter-attack - because if Azel went down that easily, he was going to be sorely disappointed.
"C'mon, big guy, let's dance!"
