VON HELSON MANOR KEEP

Crumbled walls exposing drops off the edges of the top of the keep is where fighters will do battle while the courtyard and interior of the building house two other fights in the Heaven or Hell tournament.

Terrain

General - The rooftops of the keep measures a good eighty by eighty feet. Crubling stone gargoyles line the sides.

Weapons - Loose bricks.

Bonus Effects - Ringout effect in place for those who fall off the structure. Be careful of area damage. It may affect other fighst in the area, resulting in a yellow flag.

2Ryugi Kazamaru

The Von Helson Manor... After that incident with Gambino Tower, it was amazing the damn thing was still up and about. The Keep looked almost like it was due for some repairs, and after Heaven or Hell, it would likely need a few more.

Spectators would be watching this round very strangely as there were multiple fights taking place in the Manor, but the Keep was going to be more easily shown as it could be shown via helicopter for a perfect view of the action.

It wouldn't be long before the first member of the fighting teams made their entrance. With a hand moving through his spiky silvery hair, Ryugi Kazamaru, Captain of Team Phoenix made his way to the top of the Von Helson Manor's Keep, and waited for the other teams to arrive.

This was his team's chance to really prove itself. The first match had been terrible for them, and they had fallen, but their name was Team Phoenix, named for the legendary bird of myth that was reborn from the ashes of its death. They had fallen once, but they would rise up and over the other team to victory this time. It was in the team name, it would be their destiny, and they would fight for it...

It was with this in mind that Damion stepped away from the stairs, not far behind his captain." Hey boss." He called, raising a hand in greeting as he looked around slowly. " Hmmmm....it's a nice day." the man said, glancing at the blue sky with a smile. He wasn't going to lose this time, he would see the fight through till the end, even if he had to fight through the pain. " Doesn't look like the other team's here yet." He said.

Then that means we have time to enjoy the view and the peace, while it lasts.

Ryugi smiled, took a deep breath, and looked out at the view from the top of the keep.

The fandom had undergone a very strange turn between the first and second round. The massive throng of fan girls both young and old, apparently Rain was a hit with the MILF crowd, that had surrounded the Firebrand was a thing of the past. Mothers refused to bring their children to see the Kings, the older men were busy cheering for some huge gais in the other venues, so what was left? The working class. Druggies, Metal-Heads, losers in general. The ones that realized far too late that without an education they'd be working at McDonalds the rest of their lives, the discontent with nothing to look forward to in their lives and the teenagers who were following in their foot steps.

They crowded around the Mansions Keep, some using binoculars to stare from a distance, others standing close, all of them generally being very loud and rowdy. Apparently Ryugi had made quite a name for himself in the previous Heaven or Hells though. He was not without a large grouping of his own fans, all sprinkled about the losers who loudly protested the other teams presence. Already a few fights were breaking out...

"It's a shame Save is sick today ol' chap."

Iblis was shoving her way through the crowd, her attire had undergone a complete change thanks to Kichiro's little pyropheliac tendencies. She was dressed, different to say the least. Where the first round had seen an amazon dressed like a pimp, now she was wearing an evergreen tuxedo. The long flaps of the coat flapping at the back of her knees, a neatly ironed black shirt buttoned up beneath it. Clicking against the ground with every foot fall was a fashionable black cane. As if things couldn't get any more ridiculous placed lop-sidedly atop her head was a wide-brimmed top hat and cupped in a single eyelid was a monocle.

Yes Iblis was dressed for something that was for sure, but it wasn't a tournament. Then again... at least she had changed her clothes, unlike the rest of the fighters who seemed to have worn the same things for four days straight. They could laugh all they wanted, but the fans would be coming her way when they realized how smelly the other teams were.

Side by side she strode with Victor, taking time to wait for her captain as he examined the manor. She too appreciate the intricacies of the houses design. He so he could spit on the vampires graves at every step. Eventually they reached the roof though, still their third leg was nowhere to be found.

"A shame for them that is..." the english accent dissolved, leaving the typical androgynous tone. Her eyes immediately slipped over to Team Other Guys, a predatory grin cracking up at the edges of her lips as she spied them. "Todays going to be fun without teacher to tell us what to do..."

Iblis' gaze trailed over her shoulder to watch Victor. Expecting something along the lines of "You're a retard." followed by "Lets frackin kill them.". Typical Kalliandro responses really, he was an a***e of the highest caliber, especially to his team mates. But it was because he was an a***e that she was guaranteed to stab him in the back until after the tournament.

6Victor Kalliandrio

Victor seemed to mirror himself from the past match. He was still shirtless aside from a black sash across his torso. He was also sporting a pair of black, metallic jeans and regular black shoes. He still had the Kali-Yuga hung on a metallic sheathe that was attached to his sash. His clothes were fortunately cleaned out while he was in the HoH medical care, so he didn't reek when he walked with Iblis.

Unlike his previous encounter with Team Rising Storm, he was only going to have one vertical line of black make-up on his face. It would span from slightly above his eyebrows and run down to the middle of his cheek, thinning into small points at the end of the lines. It might seem silly at first glance, but there was a vertical scar that was hidden underneath part of the make-up. He had spent the past three few days recovering in medical care in the finest of HoH's establishments. It was a miracle that the doctors were able to treat the burned skin around his body, but they weren't able to keep the left cheek from scarring. It was concluded by medical examination that the second explosion, the one that Matthew unleashed with his bomb, had caused enough damage to permanently burn the original make-up into his skin.

Victor would normally be quick to insult Iblis, but too much was on his mind. Everything had changed since their first match at The Firebrand bar. He was left with a scar across his cheek. The fangirls had left for Save of all people, leaving him stuck with losers and druggies. And now, he was forced to travel to the Von Helson estate. In response to the stress, he could only shout out,

Victor didn't have a very good history with the Von Helson family. And he never imagined that he would be fighting on their property! The last time he encountered the "Von Helson" family name, he was fighting for his life against an endless wave of vampires. It was past history now, but he could only express a scowl towards the FIGHTER that he deemed responsible for his current anguish.

It was the cause behind his forced move to the Von Helson Manor. He started to raise his left arm for a moment, his eyes locked on the ground. Before he went to move his wrist down and try to smash the FIGHTER, he quickly closed his eyes and tried to relax for a moment. He would start to remind himself of his accomplishments during the vampire disaster, lightening up his mood. He would quietly repeat to himself, "Keep it cool, keep it cool..."

Slowly bringing his arm back to his side, he would stare back at Iblis. Victor was starting to calm himself down, smirking, responding back with a simple, "******** Save. He can't keep up, then we'll just have fun without him."

7HonoRaven

Rae had very slowly made her way through the manor to the top of the keep, admiring the architecture and the artwork, and wondering where the family Von Helson was today if they were letting people overrun their hose like this... Weren't there rumors that these people were werewolves or something? Rae couldn't quite recall all the details but she was sure there was something strange about the family that was noteworthy and should have made this place taboo!

"Nifty!" smilies/icon_4laugh.gif She smiled that cute, little girl smile as she gingerly hopped up on the edge of the ramparts to lean out and look at the courtyard below as well as the gargoyles all around. "Ryu-sama, how did they get something that heavy up this high without a crane?"

The question was asked of her caption as she glanced over her shoulder, her precarious perch almost forgotten as another question popped into her head! smilies/icon_whee.gif Rae was there, at least bodily...apparently she didn't give a damn about the other team at the moment.

8Eternal Dirge

Damion watched as Rae investigated, spotting something far more interesting. " It appears our opponents are." He said, looking at them then turning his gaze away, even going so far as to walk to the other end to look down into the courtyard where another fight was supposed to be. The beauty of the day and surrounding landscape had swiftly lost it's interest to him. He needed action now and this was definately not actiony enough. That and it didn't look like his opponent was here with his teammates, so he'd be inactive for quite abit.

9Eternal Dirge

He started back towards Ryugi and Rae after afew minutes of watching though, staying close to Rae in the event that she fell or started to fall. His shield was absent from his back, the twin sabers set up in an odd drawing position, with one going horizontally across his back and the other set vertically over his right shoulder, the hilts of both weapons on his right side. His clothes were clean atleast, and he looked cleaned up himself thankfully. "Wish they'd hurry up...."

10HonoRaven

Rae looked away from her view out over the edge and back to Damion... "I wonder if it would hurt to fall that far?" smilies/icon_xp.gif stupid question, but who would ever expect a raven to be afraid of heights?

Rae hopped down from her perch, and pulled a bag off her shoulder as she held it out for Damion, was this another repeat of her asking him to hold something for her?... no this time she was apparently all sugar and spice and everything cute and nice!

"I brought snacks!" smilies/icon_blaugh.gif sure enough her little black bag was not filled with weapons, it was stuffed full of popcorn, veggie sticks and juice boxes...and rolls of gauze, just in case! smilies/icon_rofl.gif

He blinked alittle, looking into the small bag before smiling and reaching in, pulling out a carrot stick and crunching into it." I think we may need them when it all comes down to it." He said, before frowning some and looking over the edge again. " Hmmmm.....they must be inside, I can't see them."

12HonoRaven

Rae pulled out a celery stick and munched as she looked over the edge with him. "Who is it supposed to be?"

She really couldn't see much of anything over the ramparts, she was a little too short compared to the knight. Mind on the fight? not at all at this point... Rae didn't want to worry over nothing smilies/icon_xd.gif

" The heavy metal kings." He said, frowning. He had no idea what 'heavy metal' was, or why these people were the kings of it, but it was interesting enough. " Ms. Hono? how did you do that fire thing? from the last fight?" He asked, sitting down on the edge and looking up at her.

14HonoRaven

She winced at that name again, and hopped no one actually heard him call her that... "Mmm" Rae had to hide the celery behind her back to keep from trying to talk with her mouth full as Damion asked a question of her. "What one? The fire ball is a matter of concentration.. the volcano is actually a summoning technique.. or so I have been told."

Rae rolled her eyes at that thought and continued to explain things as if Damion actually had a clue that all these things were more natural to her than walking around on two legs! "A fire wall... well that is concentration... but I suppose that the fire is all summoned from the flame in my soul....so that would make it all a type of summoning!" smilies/icon_whee.gif

Just saying that brought Sunstrike to mind and a little smile drifted across her face before she took another bite out of the celery

15Eternal Dirge

" And....all that means...what?" He asked, looking highly confused, his head cocked to the side as he continued looking up at her. " I've never heard those terms before...except for the fire part. That's something I know."

16Leader Calder

(Posting from a library computer. I can't stay on for long.)

Save started to slip into a coughing fit.

The previous night, he caught an irritating cold during his stay in the hotel room. One of his "trustworthy" teammates had stolen his bedsheets, leaving him next to an air conditioner on the maximum cold-setting. It may have been a prank or neglectful thinking, but it resulted in a sabotage.

Save could only sigh in disbelief. It was painfully obvious that his teammates were uncaring to his recent illness. They would both walk far ahead of him, maybe to avoid getting sick too. He could only stare in contempt at both of them, muttering the words, "I hate you."

Rae blinked her chaotic orange eyes at him for a moment before it dawned on her. "You are human... I am ....not..." That was simple enough...sort of.

In her tight black blouse with its puffed up butterfly sleeves and the cute fluffy mini skirt Rae looked human enough, unless you looked at her eyes, or took in the fact that her hair was stripped blood red and shadow black, and her nails had razor sharp edges... "You were born, your parents had no hand in shaping who you would be or what you would be able to do... If possible, Damion only looked even more confused, his right eyebrow raising slowly as he tilted his head forward. " I'm....still not quite understanding...." He said, sounding just alittle embarrased at that. He didn't like not knowing things, though out of his island element he really didn't know a damn thing.

19Ryugi Kazamaru

Concentration, focus, control...

Those are just a few things that lead to manipulating an element.

Ryugi looked towards Damion and Rae as he spoke from over by the edge of the Keep. He'd overheard the conversation, and thought he might be able to help the young man understand a bit more.

20Eternal Dirge

" Ok....but I still don't think I follow." He said, looking over at Ryugi and cocking his head to the side. " I can focus all I want, but I can assure you my will isn't going to cause a fire. Maybe smoke will come out of my ears, but...." And he shrugged and smiled, alittle pleased with his admitedly weak joke.

21Ryugi Kazamaru

Some people are born with the ability to manifest elements. And some have to work at it and train to bring them about. Have you heard of meditation, Damion? Meditation is often about relaxing your body and mind to achieve an aware state or achieve enlightenment.

Ryugi walked over and stood next to Damion, then continued his talk.

All elements stem from the elemental planes of existence. Here, we're in the Physical, or Prime Plane, as some call it. But the planes of the universe are all around us. They're a part of the world too, and if you can form a connection with one of those planes, you can conjure or channel the power of their elements to make use of them in battle, or for other uses. Does that make more sense to you?

22Eternal Dirge

The man just looked even more confused at that. Different worlds? who in the name of all things holy ever thought that one up. " Isn't one world enough?" He asked, now definately sounding embarrased, even blushing the slightest bit. The only magic he knew of was in his shield, which wasn't exactly something he could take out at any time. And that was just to reflect things.

23Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi could see that Damion was confused. But, Ryugi thought of something that me might understand better than what he was saying before.

Think of an onion, Damion. Imagine the physical plane being at the center of the layers on an onion. The other layers are the other planes of existence that surround the physical plane. All thats needed, is for you to form a bond with one of those other layers, and learn control, and you'll be able to make use of the elements from the layers outside your own.

Hopefully that analogy was somewhat simpler for the man to grasp. Visual analogies to things one would have seen before were usually the best anyway.

24Eternal Dirge

" Oh....oh!!!" He said, the light of realization shining in his eyes. " Now I get it! so...how do you connect with these other planes though? That seems to be like a violation of the natural way of things..." Damion said.

25Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi grinned.

That, Damion, is the hard part. But just because something is hard, doesn't mean that its impossible. Otherwise, I couldn't do this...

Ryugi held out a hand between him and Damion, and with hardly a change in his facial features, a small ball of flames flowed into being. It almost looked like a tiny sun, with different features from the hotter and cooler parts of the flame, and even tiny little wisps of flame coming off from it.

If you can find a way to bridge the gaps between the planes, then things like this are possible. I can feel the energy flowing from my center, down my arm, and into my palm, where this ball manifests itself. I can will it and feel it trying to change shape in my hand due to its natural chaotic nature, but using control, I'm able to get it to remain in this shape.

Now, its going to be hot, but I'm going to try and hand it over to you. Be willing to accept the control over this energy. Allow yourself to feel it as you would an emotion, and focus on allowing it to remain in its shape. If you can accept the energy with your body and mind, it will accept you, and you will feel not pain, but soft warmth as you imagine the ball between your hands.

As he finished, Ryugi moved his hand up to where Damion would hopefully be holding his hands out. Once there, he'd slowly release the ball of flame to Damion's control, and see what happened.

26Eternal Dirge

Ryugi Kazamaru Wrote:

Damion was indeed holding his hands out, but when the ball fell into his hands he did probably one of the stupidest things ever. He pulled it right up to his face and stared, never once blinking. It wasn't long before the smell of burning hair lifted into the air and he pulled it away from his face, his face red and his eyebrows alittle...burnt. He didn't seem hurt though, and was infact smiling, " That's awesome..." The orb remained in his hands, still in it's little orby shape, though it was starting to look alittle bumpy, the very edges making it look like one of those toy balls that when thrown bounced all over the place. He immediately refocused on it, eyebrows drawing down in concentration.

27Ryugi Kazamaru

Excellent...

Ryugi wouldn't touch Damion, as that might throw him off, but he did offer a few words for him.

You see, anyone can do it with enough practice, patience, and willpower once they have the energy. But its getting the energy in the first place thats the hard part. Once you've done that, all it takes is practice and training.

Ryugi hoped that his little lesson would help Damion understand everything better. The young man had alot of potential for a human being. He could grow in so many ways that Ryugi himself could not, but the question was... Did Damion see it in himself?

28Eternal Dirge

Damion must have seen something, as his face took on a serious look, his hands slowly pushing together, the orb trapped between. Just before his hands would touch the edges of the little orb, he pulled them apart, his fingers snapping together, like he was pinching the edges of the orb. The flames stretched, looking alittle like taffy before fizzing out entirely, revealing Damion's smiling face behind it." Hoo-ah."

29Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi was impressed. Damion showed a great amount of promise. If he trained hard, he could likely come up with a style all his own.

Very nice Damion! I'm impressed.

Ryugi grinned and patted the man on the back.

30Eternal Dirge

Damion nodded and looked at his hands before looking at Ryugi again," Now how do I do that without someone else making the flames?" He asked, arching an eyebrow again and swirling his hands around abit, actually trying to summon the fire back again, frowning down at his hands when it didn't happen. " Come.....Flame on....flame on damn you!"

31Victor Kalliandrio

Victor grew tired of his teammates. Iblis was horrible with people, not dependable at all in social situations. Save was too sick to be any good representative of the Heavy Metal Kings. It was left up to the team captain of the Heavy Metal Kings to pick up the slack.

He could see three people, standing over seventy feet away from his team. Victor would simply walk away from Iblis and walk across the Manor towards the trio of people. He could assume that they were Team Pheonix, but he didn't want to jump onto an assumption. If the FIGHTER had given him false directions or if he simply went to the wrong place, he didn't want to embarrass himself by calling a rival team by the wrong name.

Victor steadily made it to the fifty feet range, where his opponents would see an image of this:

Quote: A young man that looks around his early twenties. He was shirtless, tanned, slim, but had a powerful muscle-toned build. This would include a six pack abs and hairless upper torso, allowing for his opponent to see the full details of his athletic, and surprisingly powerful build.

He had long black hair running down his back, stopping just past the shoulder blades. The sides of his hair would be shoulder length, while his hair was cut short in the front. There would be scarlet streaks entangled throughout the black hair, making his hair a certain attention grabber. His eyes were dark brown, but were fairly intense looking eyes that had shown the experience from a few street fights. His facial features expressed a strong, masculine jawline and high cheek bones.

Across his chest, he wore a black sash that held the x-shaped weapon in place. The weapon on his back resembled two metallic bowstaffs fused together at the center. Judging by the length of the weapon, each bowstaff was approximately six feet in length. There was a black sheathe that covered the weapon on his back, latched onto the back of the sash.

Ironically enough, he wore a bizarre looking pair of metallic jeans; looking more like a sturdy armor that could brace himself from leg blows. Only his black boots looked like casual wear.

If his opponents had keen eyesight or if they just waited for him to walk over, they would notice the one vertical line of black make-up on his face. It would span from slightly above his eyebrow and run down to the middle of his cheek, thinning into small points at the end of the lines.

Victor continued to watch his opponents from a distance, before he saw one of the men produce a fireball from his hands. He handed it off to his teammate, which was a bit of a surprise. Victor would think to himself, "Fire? Well now, these people seem eager to show off their talents."

Victor just watched the man with the fireball, slowly manipulate and stretch out the flames before they fizzled out. It was an entertaining show to witness during his boring walk over to them.

"Yo!"

Standing about twenty feet from the two men that seemed deep in their conversation, Victor would smile at both of them.

"My name is Victor Kalliandrio, captain of the Heavy Metal Kings. Who are you guys?"

(Edit: Details to sash.)

32Ryugi Kazamaru

We're Team Phoenix.

I'm Ryugi Kazamaru, Team Captain, and this is Damion Hedly, our third Team Member.

Ryugi would turn to face the opposing team captain and grin. So, their opponents had finally made themselves known. This was great news.

Its a pleasure to meet you.

Damion looked up at Vincent and raised a hand, as if in greeting," Howdy mate." He said, standing up properly and cracking his neck.

34Victor Kalliandrio

Victor nodded his head in acknowledgment to Ryugi, then turn his head to nod to Damion in respect.

"Likewise."

After hearing Damion's greeting, he would turn his full attention to Ryugi.

"Who do you have planned to fight first?"

35Ryugi Kazamaru

I had planned on going first, unless you have another option for us to consider.

Ryugi would lean back against the small wall of the Keep as he spoke, showing his relaxed nature.

36Victor Kalliandrio

"I see."

Victor knew that his teammates weren't in any position to fight. Iblis wouldn't walk this far to simply greet them. And Save was too sick to even properly speak. He didn't want to make any of this known to Team Phoenix, leaving him with one option left.

Victor would respond with, "I'll go first."

37Ryugi Kazamaru

Very well then.

Ryugi would stand up straight and brush himself off. He wasn't gigantic, but he was an even 6 feet in height. His spiky hair didn't help to his tall appearance though. he hefted Ragnarok to his shoulder and walked off a bit from the wall.

I guess its team captain vs team captain.

Ryugi would grin as he looked back at the Heavy Metal Captain. he was ready to go as soon as the both of them got into the middle of the ring, which saw essentially a big 80x80 foot square.

38Victor Kalliandrio

Victor would start to notice Ryugi's height. They were pretty much at eye level, but with his spikey hair... Victor felt kinda short.

Ryugi Kazamaru Wrote:

I guess its team captain vs team captain.

Victor started to have flashbacks of the last match with Rain Yupa. It seemed ironic that he would be fighting first, against the team captain for next round again. Rain was clearly a larger opponent than this man, but it was highly likely that Ryugi's tactics would be much different.

To keep from getting lost in his train of thought, he would quickly respond with, "Sounds good."

He would turn his body to the side, waiting for Ryugi to start walking ahead or with him. He wasn't foolish enough to turn his back to his opponent.

(Edit: Typo.)

39Ryugi Kazamaru

Well, as soon as we get to the center, we can start our fight then. Good luck to you.

Ryugi would then walk towards the center of the ring, giving his future opponent enough room to be comfortable and make a firm starting point away from both of their neutral team members. Initially, Ryugi would try to stand towards the North end of the Keep, where Victor would stand towards the south, the two teams' netural members would be to the East and West. East for Phoenix, and West for HMK. That way, at least for the start, any attacks would be out of the way of the extra members.

Once Ryugi arrived, he'd turn to face the area where he'd hoped his opponent would stand. He'd take a deep breath, and then grip the handle of Ragnarok, waiting.

Mr. Kalliandrio, the first move is yours.

Ryugi would say with a grin. he could tell this fight was going to be better than the last one he'd had. Much better.

40Victor Kalliandrio

"Same to you."

Victor waited until Ryugi would start to walk towards the north end of the Manor. Victor had a rough idea of where he was going with this, considering where Iblis and Damion were. He proceeded to walk towards the south end of the Manor, standing directly across from Ryugi.

Ryugi Kazamaru Wrote:

Mr. Kalliandrio, the first move is yours.

Victor smirked at his opponent. He would sarcastically remark, "But I'll feel bad if I hit you first."

Victor would clench his fists and raise his hands to an eye level. Positioning his left leg behind his right leg, he would place himself in a southpaw boxing stance. He wouldn't move his right hand from a guarding position, but he would keep it a half foot away from his face. At first glance, it might look like he was preparing to guard himself from Ryugi. But in a similar fashion that he handled Rain, he would test the space between himself and his opponent.

Victor wasn't left-handed, but he wondered how his opponent would analyze the situation. Especially to the fact that it seemed like Victor was taking this like a boxing bout. He would slowly sway his upper body back and forth, sidestepping to his left (Ryugi's right), in Iblis's direction.

While sidestepping, he would analyze Ryugi's position and build. He could make a rough estimation of Ryugi's arm and leg range. He could try to make a rough guess on the armor and sword, but weapons and armor could easily be deceptive. He would build up his rhythm while he tried to keep his eyes locked on Ryugi.

If Ryugi didn't stop him, Victor would sidestep to his team's side, then quickly weave his body back and forth to build momentum. He would try to provoke Ryugi by charging forward, up to the ten or nine foot range where he would see how he would react. If Ryugi tried to rush in, he would fall into the trap that Victor had in store. If Ryugi failed to move, it would give more momentum for Victor behind his next attack.

If Ryugi tried to launch off one of the fireballs he had witnessed earlier, Victor would immediately charge up the Kali-Yuga for a counter attack. Victor was a dirty fighter, but he wasn't planning on being that dirty.

[1/17]

41Ryugi Kazamaru

Playful sarcasm was always fun in a fight. Ryugi smirked and replied.

Don't worry, you won't.

Ryugi watched his opponent hop about in his boxing stance. Ryugi was never the type of fighter to make assumptions about his opponent simply based on how they looked. People were far too varied for any one body type to follow the same rules, thus, Ryugi always kept an open mind, and tried never to assume his opponent was one thing over another. A left handed boxing stance simply meant that that was the stance that his opponent had chosen. It didn't tell Ryugi that the man he was about to fight was left handed.

What it DID tell him was that Victor was more highly specialized in close range combat, and likely wouldn't do anything extremely powerful from long range when it came to powers and the like. At least, unless Ryugi were to unleash something that might prompt him to do something of that nature. One assumption Ryugi always allowed himself was the possibility that his opponent had some type of power-based ability. If they did not, it worked to his advantage. If they did, he would be wary of it before they made it shown.

Victor would gleam very little from Ryugi's body, except that he was tall, and appeared to have a fit build. The only weapon he would seem to have would be his large sword, Ragnarok. And other than the knee and shin guards, and his gauntlets, Ryugi wouldn't appear to have any other armor on his person. Victor would know that Ryugi possessed at least SOME flame abilities as he'd passed off a fireball to Damion earlier, but other than that, Victor wouldn't get much more from Ryugi.

That included movement. Even as Victor closed in on Ryugi's position, Ryugi didn't appear to make any hostile action, or appear to make any preparation. Other than Ryugi's right hand resting on the handle of his sword, which sat across his shoulders, Ryugi didn't even appear to be in a fighting stance at all. He seemed relaxed, and at ease. Which was very strange for someone who was about to have a fight with another fighter. Why was he so calm?

Victor would just have to find out on his own, because Ryugi wasn't telling.

[1]

42Victor Kalliandrio

Victor was surprised by Ryugi's lack of movement. He stood completely still, leaving his hand gripped on the handle of his sword.

Victor would soon find out if Ryugi was underestimating him or if he really had a plan in motion. Through his weaving, Victor was also checking to see where the sunlight would reflect off this man's equipment. Since Ryugi didn't choose to move his body, it gave Victor the opportunity to figure out where he could reflect some of the light off his metallic jeans.

Assuming that Ryugi's eyes were tracking Victor, it would come into full effect. The light would create temporary blind spot every few times he would weave to his right. And even if it was a subtle trick, it would prove to be an irritation to Ryugi's eyes if he chose not to move his line of sight, or at least close his eyes.

Regardless if the trick worked, he would slowly begin to weave in. If he couldn't disrupt his opponent's current stance, he would build some strength with his current momentum. Since he was currently ten feet away, he would take a few steps to break the distance to a five foot range. It was just outside both of their punching and kicking ranges, but it would be a set-up for his next offensive move.

He was fully aware of the sword on his hand, but he had two ways of keeping it from nailing him. Aside from the constant movement that he was creating from weaving back and forth, he would switch his rhythm to make the quick step-ins with his feet.

A lightning charge was set in the center of the Kali-Yuga. It wasn't an explosive amount of electricity that would've emerged, if Ryugi had cast a fireball on him. And unlike his bout with Rain, he would keep it centralized in the center of the "X" his back as he weaved in. The electricity would be hidden from a direct line of sight. And since he had the electricity facing his teammates, it was likely that they wouldn't say anything about it.

If the loud steps from his feet creating the step-ins and the light-trick didn't throw Ryugi's senses off, Ryugi would likely recognize the faint sound of electricity.

[2/17]

43Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi didn't need to see to be able to know where his opponent was. His metal pants were enough noise as it was, and to Ryugi, that alone made him stand out like a sore thumb. Not to mention Ryugi's energy sense spiked as Victor charged electricity. Of course, Victor couldn't have known that...

Victor stepped in, and suddenly, Ryugi moved.

He jumped to his right in a quick movement, and at the same time, he spun to his left. Victor's movement towards Ryugi would cause him to continue forward as Ryugi moved around him, due to his body's momentum that he'd gained by moving side to side towards Ryugi. In a swift motion, Ryugi would pull on the handle of Ragnarok with his right hand, bringing the 4.5 foot long blade heading straight for the back/left side of Victor. The weapon's reach, combined with Ryugi's arm length would be more than enough to overcome the five foot distance between the both of them.

If the blade was to hit against Victor's torso, it would do some nasty cutting damage to the shirtless man...

Ryugi's body would continue its motion along with the momentum of his sword as his left hand moved to help guide the blade along its trajectory, whether the attack struck its target or not...

[2]

44Victor Kalliandrio

Victor wasn't surprised that Ryugi had moved during his momentum rush. But he was quite surprised by the counter that his opponent had in mind.

Watching him step to the side and slightly out of his eyesight, it was likely to be a counter move. He remembered that Ryugi's hand was on his sword, so he could only assume the worst in this situation. He needed to get out of the way and there was no way to rid himself of the momentum that he produced.

Therefore, in a sudden motion to get away, Victor would throw his legs up, creating a jumping motion as Ryugi would swing his sword towards him. Pulling his legs up as high as he could during the jump, he would unleash the electricity in the Kali-Yuga.

Using the Kali-Yuga as a makeshift jet pack, he would use the kinetic force of the electricity to launch himself higher into the air. In an improvised defensive move, he would be testing the durability of his metallic pants. It would be unknown to Ryugi, but the pants weighed twenty pounds. Being quite sturdy, the sword would likely clash against them, since the metallic pants had taken the place of his torso's original position.

There would be an unlikely counter to the sword swing. Since the pants were metallic, they conducted electricity. If Ragnarok connected with the metallic pants, the chances of Ryugi being electrocuted were fairly high. If Ryugi did or didn't know about the electricity yet, he definitely would now.

[3/17]

45Ryugi Kazamaru

Quote: Boots - The soles of the boots are thick rubber with a metal plate running under the padding for the foot. This protects his feet from sharp puncturing objects, and tiny spikes protruding to the ground protects from light electrical attacks as well, allowing most of the charge to flow out from his body with little harm. More powerful attacks still do damage, and practically null this defense.

-BZZZZT-

And Ryugi winced and kept moving, feeling uncomfortably tingly and had a burning sensation running along his body. That was gonna sting for a bit... He knew he felt electricity in the area, but now he knew at least ONE thing his opponent could do in the way of powers. Of course, the physics of the situation would be a bit different that what Victor might have imagined.

Since Victor had jumped, he was airborne, and, for the most part, had nothing to stabilize himself. This meant that the force and momentum added to his legs from the powerful strike would send him spinning like a pinwheel to his left in midair.

In addition, Ragnarok would continue along its path due to its own momentum and the force of the swing. This easily allowed Ryugi's body to continue pivoting around in a spin before his right foot chambered and kicked outward almost in a stomp towards Victor's airborne, spinning body. The kick would likely send the young man back about 10 feet, and do some heavy damage to his ribcage, assuming he was human. The tiny spikes on the bottom of Ryugi's boots would also impact his bare skin, possibly scratching and drawing blood as they made contact.

How would Victor react to his situation? Only time would tell...

[3]

46Victor Kalliandrio

Victor felt something (the sword) slam into the pant leg of his metallic jeans, throwing off his entire momentum.

He wasn't sure if any of the electricity had even connected with Ryugi, but he immediately knew that he was spinning out of control. Flying to the left of Ryugi, he realized that he was going to be a sitting duck if he stayed in the air.

Victor's initial reaction would be to adjust the sash with his right arm. By adjusting the sash and letting it slip off his shoulder and down to his metallic jeans, the Kali-Yuga's 6'0" range would drop closer to the floor, screwing with the current momentum and the helpess turning motion he was in. It would also tilt his movement, causing the Kali-Yuga to tilt and hit the ground.

Before he could even act further, a random force (the kick) would be slammed into the thigh of his metallic pant leg, which would've been his ribs if the spinning had continued it's natural path. He could only cringe from the blow, gritting his teeth as the force of the kick would push him back the same distance it initially would have. He would fly back ten feet with the Kali-Yuga skidding along the ground below him.

He would land on the ground, the Kali-Yuga's "X" shape creating a balance to keep him from spinning too much across the ground. Given the current space between them, he would try to recover from his current dizzy spell. He had a rough idea from where the kick came from.

Another electrical charge would be set. He would continue to charge up the lightning in the Kali-Yuga, this time it wasn't so hidden from Ryugi's perspective.

[4/17]

47Ryugi Kazamaru

Of course, landing on your back when you essentially have a giant tire iron on your back means that you're in one very nasty predicament unless you can somehow create enough leverage to get back up. But with Victor's weapons being taller than he was, and spread out in an "X" formation, that would be very, VERY difficult. It was unfortunate, but at least for the moment, it looked like Victor had more or less pinned himself to the ground with his own weapon.

And, it was also unfortunate that Ryugi would have to act on this. His team had already lost one match. They couldn't afford to lose another one. And so, Ryugi acted.

As his kick connected and sent the young man flying through the air, his body was still spinning around with Ragnarok beginning to move around his back as the kick came back. With a quick spin of his head to keep his eyes on everything, Ryugi would pull Ragnarok around and slam the weapon into the dirt, before burst of energy would shoot from the blade, speeding across the ground to attempt and hit Victor just after he'd landed in his predicament.

Quote: Energy Lance –

Ragnarok fires a burst of energy that streaks across the ground towards an opponent for damage. Adding an equivalent amount of energy into the strike can increase the number of these lances, but at a greater cost of Ryugi's stamina.

Ryugi used a very basic form of his attack, as he didn't want to expel all of his stamina into this single attack. The lance would speed across the ground to slam into and wash over Victor's grounded form as he landed in his predicament. The blast would burn hot, likely causing some burns to Victor's skin, and the cutting forces of the attack would possibly make some small slashes across his form as well. At least over his bare torso. They weren't horrifyingly deep as it was a basic attack, but as Victor wasn't wearing a s**t, they would likely drain him from the pain and the eventual blood loss.

After the attack, Ryugi would lift up on the handle of Ragnarok, pulling the majority of the blade out of the Keep's rocky surface, and to make for easier retrieval...

[4]

48Victor Kalliandrio

Victor was fully aware of the predicament he was in. He was still dizzy from his spinning experience. The kick that Ryugi landed had kind of hurt, too. Unfortunately for Ryugi, Victor hadn't lost his sense of hearing. He had a rough idea where the kick came from. Not to mention he could easily hear the sword being slammed into the ground, with a large ruckus following right behind him. He would think to himself, "Not good."

On his own physical strength, Victor wouldn't be able to escape this predicament. With the power of the Kali-Yuga, it would show him the way to get out of this predicament. He was already planning on a lightning charge previously. As he was starting to land, he would haphazardly launch a lightning blast into the ground below him. It wasn't something he liked to do, since it pulled away an unnecessary amount of stamina to instantly cast a lightning strike into the ground. But he needed to make some room.

Fortunately, the kinetic force would instantly shoot his body into the air, pushing his body thirty feet into the air. It would throw him into a position where his momentum couldn't easily be screwed with and he had some time to get his act together. He would continue with another lightning charge from the back of the Kali-Yuga, since he wasn't heavily damaged at all.

Just dizzy with a sore thigh.

(Edit: Typos.)

[5/17]

49Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi, having just pulled his sword out of the ground as his opponent sailed into the sky, was somewhat at a loss of what to do. He couldn't really jump up that high, and even if he did, he wouldn't really have an adequate attack. So, Ryugi finished pulling Ragnarok out of the ground, and moved it once more into a ready stance, blade held out from his person, right hand leading the blade, left hand on the end of the handle.

What came up, had to come down, and when Victor came down, Ryugi would be ready and waiting with another attack...

[5]

50Victor Kalliandrio

Victor would try to collect himself while he was in the air. He pulled up the sash that was hanging from his metallic pants and re-adjusted it back onto his shoulder. He didn't want his only saving grace to fall off and leave him in a thirty foot drop.

The dizzy spell had started to go away, giving him the ability to focus better. He was still a bit paranoid of an attack. Ryugi was relentless with his assault. The current dirty tricks hadn't worked on him. If Victor didn't pick up the slack, he would lose.

No more playing games.

...

And no more time to think, since gravity wasn't his friend.

While he was still in the air, he would check the floor below him. After shooting himself into the air, he was about twenty feet away from the edge of the arena and coming down to the fifteen foot level. He would use the current lightning charge for three different reasons.

One reason would be to shoot himself back into the air, maintaining the thirty feet distance in the sky, in hopes that he could stay leveled for a short while longer until he had to land.

The second reason was to keep himself centered on the stage. He didn't want to lose track of his position and slip off the stage, resulting in a silly ring out.

The third reason would be to keep Ryugi in cheek. Using the Kali-Yuga as a lightning gun, he would fire it from the sky and towards Ryugi's direction.

Rae had at some point climbed back up on top of the ramparts while Ryugi and Damion were talking about the mechanics of fire starting, he was better at explaining than she was, because it was all very natural for Rae... and normally one did not think about things that were as easy as breathing smilies/icon_sweatdrop.gif

Rae slowly cartwheeled away along the crumbling ledge, so she missed the introductions, but she was in a great spot to watch the beginning of the fight!

"Go Ryugi! WhoooHooo!!!!" Rae made quite a show of cheering and jumping up and down, her skirt flashing a very short pair of black shorts underneath, like she was some cheerleader in disguise as a fighter today the only thing missing was pom poms... this was an entirely different woman from the first fight, perhaps she just was not much of a morning person? smilies/icon_xp.gif

52Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi's energy sense screamed at him as Victor launched the powerful attack towards him. But he was ready for it... He'd been waiting for Victor to make his move, and he had. The energy spike was detected, and Ryugi launched himself to the side, the blast of lightning slamming into the ground where he had just been mere moments before. Ryugi skidded back from his jump as a runic circle appeared under his feet, as small trails of energy began to rise off the ground around the rune...

"WHAT THE ******** DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING! IF YOU GET BEAT BY THESE LOSERS WHO COULDN'T EVEN PASS THE FIRST ROUND I'LL HUNT DOWN YOU AND EVERYONE YOU'VE EVER KNOWN!"

Iblis had meandered a little closer to the fight, a little closer to Ryugi incase she needed to make a sudden striker. If Victor had been on the ball they wouldn't be in this situation, he had made some stupid decision and padded them over with even dumber decisions and now he was hovering god knows where trying to snipe an enemy from the air. As if Ryugi wouldn't dodge from that distance...

"You can do this a*****e, I know you can..."

It was slightly lower, between grit teeth she glared sky high at the team captain. Her right hand curled around a loose brick beneath a gargoyle, gloves almost shredding against the stone they were gripped so tight. That girl over there, the stripper as she had been labeled in Iblis' mind after she had watched her get carried off for god knows what sexual deviance Darious had planned out. Iblis would never do that, leap around making a moron of herself, but she could certainly shut up her by smashing her jaw into dust.

But they didn't need any cards, not with Save coughing a lung up. Instead Iblis decided to get some help from the crowd...

"Hey all you douche bags out there." Iblis cupped a hand around her mouth, screaming out at the crowd that had gathered around the keep, down to the ones still inside the keep, anyone who could hear really. "Who says this b***h should get back in the kitchen!!!"

The crowd roared to life, the degenerate sheeple having no problem with following orders. They thrust their collective arms into the air screaming at the top of their lungs.

"GET BACK IN THE KITCHEN SLUT!"

The chant continued for several minutes, drowning out anything the girl had to say even from the top of the keep. The people united as one, even slightly outnumbered with a single push their voice was powerful. Pandering to the crowd was useful sometimes. Iblis leaned back with a smirk on her face, elbows fanning out against the uprising of the keep just behind her, one leg folding itself over the other. Victor would do just fine...

54HonoRaven

Rae crossed her arms over her chest and stuck her tongue out at Iblis and the entire crowd for a moment before she grinned again.

The evil queen of bad language would have to do better to get Rae mad today, because she would have danced circles around the other woman if she hadn't already been having fun cheering for Ryugi!

She's Fine on the outside

So fine make you water crying

All of the boys want a piece of her time

All of the girls want her out of their lives

Ready

All night here she comes

Like a conner racer through the night

Here she comes like

A crazy little set of light

55Victor Kalliandrio

Victor eyes opened in shock, witnessing Ryugi avoid his lightning bolt. He couldn't figure out how he had managed to avoid it, considering the speeds it was being unleashed at. But despite the apparent failed attack, it had served it's purpose well. He was now closer to the interior of the fighting circle, keeping himself from getting ringed-out. And he maintained his position in the air, giving him time to analyze Ryugi's tactics.

If his eyes weren't mistaken, he could see a runic circle emerge from the floor below Ryugi's position. Victor pondered to himself, "What is Ryugi trying to pull?"

During this period of time, Victor set himself up with another lightning charge. His body was just starting to fall back to the floor, but he wasn't going to be used just yet.

[7/17]

56Ryugi Kazamaru

Then it would seem that Ryugi's next action would actually HELP Victor out, as streamers of light energy shot up into the sky from a rune that appeared under Victor's airborne form. The damage from the rising streams of energy would be minimal, but they would carry with them a powerful updraft that would sweep Victor higher into the sky, roughly 30 more feet onto the height he already had. Thus, he wouldn't fall yet, and would have even MORE leverage on Ryugi, as he was still ground locked.

If Victor could see Ryugi's face, Ryugi would look a tad bit worried... Perhaps his attack hadn't worked exactly as well as he'd hoped...

[7]

57Victor Kalliandrio

Victor wasn't able to figure out what the runic circle was capable of until...

Wooosh!

Victor started sailing into the sky! Like a leaf caught in a strong breeze, he could only scream in panic as this was clearly the last thing he could've ever expected!

"AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"

He continued to sail up into the sky, until he was over fifty feet off the ground. He was clearly floating high enough to witness some of the other battles occurring in the other sections of the Von Helson estate. He couldn't recognize the people, given how fast he was launched, but he knew from the crowds that they were the rival teams.

It was a beautiful view... Until he remembered that he had to come down. When he looked down, he couldn't help but be a bit freaked out now.

Victor was still charging up the lightning, now for a second charge from the Kali-Yuga. He didn't want to unleash another lightning boost from the Kali-Yuga, since he was clearly high enough in the sky.

"Its a bird... no its a plane! No it's going to be a splattered Heavy Metal King!" It didn't rhyme at all, but it was a fairly accurate description of what would happen to a human in that position, and Rae enjoyed pointing that out to the crowd.

59Ryugi Kazamaru

Luckily, Victor would soon know exactly what the rune was capable of. The updraft had sent him into the air, and rune below him faded as Ryugi looked up into the air. But, as he was admiring the view and looking BELOW, something terribly powerful would hit him from ABOVE, and send him speeding towards the roof of the keep at a terrible speed.

Wait, WHAT!?!

Ryugi wasn't worried that his attack had gone off wrong afterall... He was worried that the attack might collapse the roof. Luckily, it would not...

Ryugi Kazamaru Wrote:

Quote: Adamant Rain - Large runic circle appears under Ryugi's feet as Ryugi pulls in energy for the attack. Then, burning pillars of light energy erupt into the sky for heavy damage, from a second rune that appears under the opponent moments before the attack is released. Then, the energy falls to the earth in a powerful beam of light energy for even more damage, as well as slamming an opponent to the ground.

With a thunderous blast of energy, the streamers had collected and dropped like a hammer from the heavens towards the unsuspecting, downward-looking, and completely unaware and unprepared Victor. The pillar of light energy would be almost like a blow from a giant fist falling from the sky, literally punching and slamming Victor's airborne form into the roof of the Keep with terrible power.

And what was better?

It was totally localized around the CENTER of the ring, where Victor had moved himself. This meant that no fighter from either team that wasn't in the fight would be struck by the energy attack. Even if Ryugi was STRIKER'd at this very moment, it wouldn't matter, as the attack was already set and ready to go once the streamers had been released. Anything Ryugi said, or did was now completely for show.

-ADAMANT RAIN!!-

And show he did...as he brought his arm down in unison with the attack, making it seem as if he'd called down the fist from the heavens himself, which, he more or less had, but not directly. Since the attack was more or less already unleashed, it left Ryugi open to look out for any party crashers, and also to be ready in case the attack's intended target somehow managed to get back up after the attack caught him by surprise.

The power from the attack would be searing hot, causing painful burns to unprotected skin, but not lighting clothes on fire. Victor would be slammed hard into the roof of the Keep by the attack, the force from the collision of the pillar and Victor's body would crater the worn ceiling of the Keep. Any more power, and Ryugi's attack would have possibly driven the Captain straight through the ceiling and the floor below. But, the impact alone would be enough to crack and shatter bones, as well as do massive shock trauma to Victor as he hit. it wouldn't kill him, but he likely wouldn't be getting back up.

The speed of the attack would make it nearly impossible for Victor to react before he hit the top of the Keep, meaning his energy charges would likely be all for naught due to the element of surprise the attack had.

What would happen next in this powerful clash!?

STRIKER - OFFENSE!

((EDIT: Lulz Typos. Early morning and what not. ))

The fans would boo, the fans would jeer, but most of all the fans would throw some really sticky stuff at the Keep. Though no one had a strong enough arm to land one on the roof but the cameras would catch trash pelting the upper levels of the keep in response to Ravens little dance. Ryugi had fans alright, the key being Ryugi and not Team Phoenix. The newcomers who surrounded him only had the virtue of being on a runner-ups team to get them in with the fans, and that had dissolved as soon as they had been laid out like a deer in the headlights against Team Nightmare.

"People came here to watch a fight, not watch cheerleaders…”

Iblis let out a contented huff, she would have her chance to do some damage to the girl later. She would have a chance to do some damage to all of them and if things went well... Ryugi too. But for now Iblis just watched, watched as the light shot up and carried Victor thirty feet into the air. He seemed to be out of harms way, but Iblis doubted Ryugi wanted to shoot Victor higher into the sky. She had been around the block enough times to know when some bad s**t was going down, literally.

It was about time she started hurting Ryugi...

Iblis would seem rather relaxed for someone flipping the Striker switch on their FIGHTER, sliding away from the Keeps railing and lazily swipping a hand through the air to the side. Victor would be notified of the striker on his fighter. His eyes would inevitably be drawn to his ally while she stretched her limbs out. Or what would equivilate to “GTFO DA WAY”.

A second in Iblis would slide into position like a baseball pitcher, feet spread out with a wide space in-between them, body hunched over to glare at Ryugi’s still turned back. She had made no noise and though he could sense magic, what was happening now wasn’t magic. It was telekinesis. Loose bricks and stones swung into the air all around her, perhaps five in all. Iblis had not flexed her mental muscles too much against the boys from Rising Storm, but this was just getting absurd. Victor was fighting Vegeta right now and all he had was a metal 'x' that could shoot laser beams. But if the enemy team wanted to play the power game, then Iblis was going to play the power game.

As Ryugi's arms would swing down, hopefully Victor would be out of the lights path. Iblis would spend the next ten seconds ripping stones away from the Keeps structure with her mind and hurling them like a baseball player at Ryugi's body. The first pitch was aimed right at Ryugi’s head, hoping to get off a snipe shot by virtue of the fact that he simply wasn’t paying attention to her. But the next ones would fly for all different parts of his body. Some would try to hit his knees, others would go for his shoulders, some would probably go for his head anyways. She didn’t expect to brutalize him like she had with Rain, she expected to keep him off guard for ten seconds so her idiot captain could make this fight work…

62Victor Kalliandrio

Unfortunately for Ryugi, there were two big problems with his current attack.

One, Victor wasn't blind to the special effects in the sky. Considering that he had been on his back during his flight into the air, it would be fairly hard to miss the streamers of light energy building up. He hadn't known their purpose, but he was clearly aware of their presence. More than what Ryugi might have expected. And it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that they were likely bad news, especially since they were coming from Ryugi's rune.

Two, Victor had already set two lightning charges into the back of the Kali-Yuga. They would both be used in a different manner than originally intended, but they were still used with the same concept in mind.

Considering that the light was coming down from the sky while Victor was falling, Victor would have barely enough time to figure out his situation. He was slightly short from being forty feet in the air. And he would instantly launch one of his lightning charges, the first to launch himself out of the way of the wave of light that crashed down from the sky.

It was impossible to move completely out of the way, considering that he hadn't been prepared for the light to strike DOWN in this monstrous attack. His charges were built for speed, therefore, he had the chance to keep it from nailing him completely. Parts of the metallic pants (more on the right leg) and his boots would get caught in some of the light, heating them up. But the force of the light had disrupted some of his jet-pack movement that was pushing him out.

Flipping Victor in the process of connecting, it would cause him to lose some of his initial direction. The second charge would be multi-tasked in two ways. One half of the charge was used to try to control the flipping motion that had occurred during his avoidance of the light. It would push some of the kinetic force in the opposite direction that was he was being thrown in, but not enough to throw him back into the light.

Around the fifteen foot range, the other half of the second lightning chage would be used to help produce a slight buffer before he landed on the ground. He would land closer to his teammates location than expected.

Before he could analyze the situation further, he could hear someone throwing really heavy objects from a short distance. He hadn't noticed earlier, but his FIGHTER went off for an offensive striker! Iblis was throwing parts of the Von Helson property at Ryugi. He had landed close to hir proximity, but he hadn't landed in the way of hir projectile rush.

Victor started to breathe a bit heavy, having wasted one of his lightning charges to avoid the monstrous attack. And use the second lightning charge to catch his stability and try to land safely. While on the ground, he had immediately charged up the Kali-Yuga for another lightning based-strategy.

So, one second, Victor was clearly looking down at Ryugi, was focussing his attention down towards him, and not up, and then suddenlky he was somehow looking up and on his back? Was there a TIME PARADOX here? It sure seemed like it, but whatever the reason, Ryugi was busy with some other things as his opponent had somehow managed to avoid his attack, and he heard the cracking sound of bricks being lifted and torn from the Keep.

Damn Party Crashers...

Ryugi spun around as the first brick hit him in the a** as he moved into position. Ragnarok was quickly moved down onto the ground, Ryugi going into a crouch, the flat of the blade facing the onslaught between Ryugi's arms and legs as Ryugi ducked behind it. Bricks slammed against his armored forearm guards and gauntlets as they protected his exposed hands from the torrent of solid objects. His torso was protected by the flat of Ragnarok's blade, and his thighs were bent and protected out of harm's way while his knee-and-shinguards took the rest of the blows. Ryugi's head had ducked low behind the handle of Ragnarok, and was protected by his hands as the bricks smashed across his self-made wall of metallic protection.

Of course, Ryugi wasn't going to take his eyes off of his opponent either. So, as Victor flew down from the sky, Ryugi watched him closely out of the corner of his eye until he could discern where the flying lightning rod had landed. The crackle of electricity gave his position away, as well as Ryugi's energy sense allowing him to find him. How convenient, he was hiding right near his teammate who was chucking the bricks with what Ryugi assumed was some sort of psychic power. That meant Ryugi's attack options were limited unless he wanted to hit the brick chucking psychic along with him.

Finally, the bricks subsided at the ten second limit, and Ryugi would grip the handle of Ragnarok, pulling himself out from behind his weapon. Ragnarok's true abilities had been suspended for the tournament, but he was still pleased that his old friend was still with him. it would seem that power attacks weren't going to work on this man unless Ryugi FORCED it on him. Thus, Ryugi's battle tactics would change as his body and Ragnarok begin to glow brightly...

Quote: Ragnarok Unleashed:

Recent events have birthed the spirit of Ryugi's sword into its true, sentient form.

Shining Sword

This ability gets its name from Ragnarok's glowing status while undergoing it. When in this form, Ryugi can get a slight boost in his stats as long as Ragnarok is within his grip, as Ragnarok uses its own energy to assist Ryugi in battle. The boost is roughly a 50% increase to Ryugi's stats.

"Feh'..."

Things had gone just as Iblis had expected them too, especially captain japanese-name-number-5. She had gotten the results she wanted right? So whats was the beef? Iblis never planned for the best possible outcome, ever. A constant self-loathing pessimist, Iblis predicted that the worst would happen with every move. Yea', things were only getting shittier alright, and Ryugi's actions were both good and bad.

Ryugi was tough alright, not just tough but he was powerful, it wouldn't be much of a stretch to say Ryugi had more powers in his six foot body then all of Rising Storm combined. She had witnessed sword lasers, sky lasers, regular hand held lasers, not to mention he could pull out that stream of energy he had blown away Darious "Rapist" Kaiq at any time. And that was the good thing.

The bad thing was, his power had gotten to his head. Ryugi had skill, Iblis couldn't deny that, his track record alone spoke volumes about him, but common sense and animal aggression had gave-way to overconfidence. He had even lost the ability to look over his back apparently, attributing Victor spotting the incredibly obvious technique to Time Paradoxes. Ryugi was relying on his god given gifts like a crutch and the very idea that they wouldn't pull him through on this fight seemed to only make him angrier, forcing him to lean on his powers even more. Ryugi had advanced physically and spiritually faster then he had mentally and now his lack of experience was showing. That was a very bad thing...

But you know what they say. A brute is an easy opponent, an idiot is an easier one, but get an idiot with brute strength and you're in for a tough fight. Victor only had a short period of time to find some way to break through Ryugi's constant stream of power-housing and knock him out, or at least make the Judges realize who was really control of this match.

Iblis sagged back against the guard rail as the ten second limit ran out, he was still outside the fighting zone, after all Victor had landed next to him, not the other way around. But just to be safe Iblis would stalk a few feet away, issuing a light huff as she saw Ryugi power up yet again.

"Watch out Vic, he's either constipated or he's going super saiyan."

65Victor Kalliandrio

Apparently in Ryugi's world, it wasn't possible to glance back to see an obvious special effect in the sky. Ryugi did nothing to hide the sounds and flashing lights. And it would've been easiy noticable from the corner of Victor's own sight, despite the claimed "Time Paradox."

Victor had landed onto the ground while Iblis was still within the ten seconds of her offensive striker. Ryugi wouldn't be able to act on an attack with Iblis keeping him busy. And while Ryugi was trying to block the rocks that Iblis was chucking at him, it gave Victor room to accomplish his next plan of action.

Ryugi Kazamaru Wrote:

Ryugi's head had ducked low behind the handle of Ragnarok, and was protected by his hands as the bricks smashed across his self-made wall of metallic protection.

Victor immediately unleashed the lightning charge that he was saving up with the Kali-Yuga at Ryugi, which was much stronger than the previous bolt that he encountered earlier. Considering that he was the approximately the distance as Iblis, who was in the middle of throwing hir last few bricks at Ryugi, it would be hard to miss this strike. Ryugi would find there was rock with in the next few incoming snowballs.

The biggest difference between this lightning strike and earlier attempts, would be the continual streak of lightning that was being emitted. It was unknown to Ryugi, unless he could simply to dodge a continual burst of lightning from twenty feet away, but Victor would keep the Kali-Yuga momentarily locked on Ryugi's position. And unlike similar situations before, the Kali-Yuga would be continuously emitting electricity out from it's core, running through his metallic pants and other areas of his body.

Victor would start moving his right arm during the continual lightning strike, since he was ready for the next plan to be set in motion.

[10/17]

66Ryugi Kazamaru

Since Ryugi was completely busy with the bricks, he couldn't really dodge a lightning blast. However, in the position he was in, he wouldn't really have to. Ragnarok's tip was in the ground, which grounded the large metallic object.

Quote: Ragnarok - This special greatsword is nearly four and a half feet long, six and a half inches wide at the blade's widest point, and forged from the finest and strongest Dragonsteel. Ryugi controls the flow of energy into and out of the sword by changing the amount of energy within his hands and arms. When the energy is low, the attacking energy is pulled through the leylines inside the sword, and held there by Ryugi who balances the forces using his body. The leylines in Ryugi's gloves make this process much quicker and smoother to accomplish, however, it can be done without them in case they are somehow damaged. When the attack is to be launched, Ryugi fluctuates the energy to a high point in his arms, and then pushes the energy out through the leylines of the weapon for his attack. When this process is combined with energy from Ryugi's body, it makes for many powerful combinations for attack, and defense.

The leylines throughout the sword would allow the lightning energy very easy access down and out into the ground, as the lightning was hitting the blade, and not really hitting Ryugi's body, as Ryugi's gloves would serve to insulate his hands and body from the shocking effect. This wasn't to say that Ryugi wouldn't have a nasty burning sensation across his body from the residual electric forces, because he did, but a majority of the energy would be directed into the ground where it would become harmless. Ryugi's body would soon glow anyway as Ryugi activated the Shining Sword Technique earlier than he would have before. This was mainly to help his resistance, and to give him a physical edge the next time he was ready to attack his opponent...

[10]

67Victor Kalliandrio

The lightning blast played a decent distraction to keep Ryugi off of him. It hadn't played out the way that he intended for it to. But shocking him with a lightning bolt wasn't his main goal. Using the lightning that he was still emitting to enhance his speed, Victor would throw his plan into motion.

During this period of time, he would reach around to unsheathe the Kali-Yuga. He would rest his hand on the center of the sheathe, and after pressing his hand inside the center of the holder, he would hear a simple click noise. Victor would loosen the holder from the sash, but it was still partially attached. The Kali-Yuga would slip out of the sheathe and into Victor's hands. Victor would catch the top right part of the "X" shaped weapon with his right hand, and swing it to his front side.

He would grab the next closest staff with his left hand. Holding it out in front of his body in an horizontal "X," this would play as a security measure in case Ryugi tried to knock the weapon out of his hands. And it would also play as a measuring stick to Ryugi's sword.

Victor had a newfound speed that he was reaching with the Kali-Yuga's electrical charges. The kinetic force was becoming greater and greater. Keeping his weapon in front to shield him from Ryugi's sword, the electricity would continue to build up his speed.

He would start to rush towards Ryugi, not taking full advantage of his full speed yet, but that could easily change.

[11/17]

68Ryugi Kazamaru

The electrical energy hadn't really distracted Ryugi from anything. It had only really served to prevent him from DOING anything significant. But, as the speeding footfalls would attest, at least Victor seemed like he was ready to really attack now instead of float around in the air.

As the lightning and the bricks halted, Ryugi would charge ahead towards Victor, his body and sword shining brightly as he shot towards the man. Whatever happened next was going to be big, Ryugi could feel it...

[11]

69Victor Kalliandrio

Originally, there was only twenty feet between the two of them. The rush between the two of them would have cut the space off to a much closer range. The electricity that was building around Victor's body was only spreading further, becoming more and more visibly evident. If Ryugi stepped with in the eight foot range of Victor, he would likely get shocked. Like an electric eel, Victor would be best not to be touched.

Both of them were rushing forward, but part of this was a simple deceptive tool to lure Ryugi out. As Ryugi would approach, Victor wouldn't stay on his current rush into Ryugi. Before either of them could even step into range where they could wield their weapons, he would make an immediately turn his body to the left with the help of the electrical boost.

It wasn't apparent before, but he loosened his metallic sheathe on his sash for a reason. And it was taking Victor's place in the current path at Ryugi.

When Ryugi was rushing into Victor's range, the kinetic force from the lightning would cause the loose metallic sheathe to launch off. Turning to his left side, it left little room for Ryugi to avoid the sheathe.

The Kali-Yuga's sheathe would fly off from the sash and fly towards Ryugi's torso at full force. Like a large bullet being shot at close range, the sheathe was the same size as the Kali-Yuga. It wasn't as thick as the Kali-Yuga, but the speeds that it was being launched off at would keep Ryugi in trouble.

If it didn't surprise Ryugi, it would definitely keep him on guard for the next step in Victor's attack. The Kali-Yuga would be kept close to his body, in case Ryugi rushed through the projectile. And during the current stop and turn, the electricity for his boosting speed was only going to get faster and faster.

[12/17]

70Ryugi Kazamaru

lol wut?

Ryugi quickly hefted Ragnarok to his shoulder with his right hand, as his left hand shot out, gripping the sheath, and chucking it as hard as he could, directly towards his opponent's path. Of course, any electricity would flow out through Ryugi's boots as it had before, giving him a nasty sting, but no real damage. This meant Victor would have to change direction to avoid the projectile, which was now aimed at him. And that meant he'd have to head directly towards Ryugi, or directly away from him in order to attack/avoid it.

And, as before, all that electricity Victor was storing made him stick out like a bonfire in the night due to Ryugi's energy sense. How in god's name ELECTRICITY cause KINETIC force was beyond the author's understanding, since electricity was energy, and didn't really have alot of mass to send in any direction to kinetically push ANYTHING. Unless he was somehow using the superheated AIR to move himself, which DID make sense. But, of course, he hadn't. Yet another paradox...

But hey, Ryugi's right hand was still on Ragnarok's blade, which he would use to strike at Victor if the young man would stop dancing around in circles and attack him with that big tire iron on his back. Unless all it was good for as flying around and looking like he had helicopter blades stuck to his a**, and all for show...

Course, Ryugi couldn't really chase Victor down as he was alot faster at the moment than Ryugi could go without tiring himself, as he'd already tired himself a bit from using Adamant Rain. Sure, he still had stamina, but this guy was really beginning to get annoying. And, quite honestly, he was getting pretty boring as well...

[12]

71Victor Kalliandrio

Apparently his opponent had never understood the purpose of his lightning charges. The force of the electricity, a.k.a. lightning, had flowed throughout his body. This would be the electrical lightning input stored into the sheathe when he had first started taking out the Kali-Yuga. It was a built up charge, until it was launched off towards Ryugi.

To make it easier to understand, the same kinetic force that he used to kick off the ground would be used for the sheathe. Except he waited until he had turned his body to unleash the charge.

Unfortunately, Victor hadn't started running into a circle. At all. He stopped and turned his body to the left, which gave him the time to launch off the sheathe. He was still standing there with the Kali-Yuga close to his body, not even needing to run as Ryugi caught the sheathe. And if Ryugi had powered through and rushed him, Victor would have plenty of time to react. The electrical lightning boost would continue to build up, as Ryugi was letting him do it.

Considering that Ryugi killed the momentum when he caught the sheathe, he would need to pull his arm back to launch the sheathe back at Victor. At least to make a relatively similar momentum to come back at him.

Regardless, Ryugi hadn't aimed for any specific part of the body, so Victor would easily step out of the way of the incoming sheathe. Even with the lightning's output, the kinetic force behind each step would make it easier for him to move out of the way. The electrical lightning output was only going to expand more and more. And with the sheathe flying past him, he smirked in Ryugi's direction.

He would quickly jump back and turn his body towards Ryugi diagonal-left side (assuming he hadn't changed directions.) If he had persisted his rush, Victor would use momentum from the lightning to boost his speed towards Ryugi's side. If Ryugi would try to slash Victor with his sword, he would have to deal with the distance of the Kali-Yuga catching the sword, not to mention the lightning that surrounded him. And with Victor facing Ryugi' at his side, he had a clear view of what he could do.

Keeping the Kali-Yuga as the same measuring stick he had previously used before, it would provide an offensive, horizontal slam and a defensive position away from Ryugi sword and potential strikes. The electrical lightning output would continue to build up.

[13/17]

72Ryugi Kazamaru

Ryugi understood that his opponent could use lightning. s**t, he was COVERED in it. That was enough of a hint. He got it already...

The Kali-Yuga would impact Ryugi's left hand, as Ryugi moved it up to grasp the weapon before it struck him. What did Ryugi expect from this? Well, first, he expected that he was going to get hit by some measure of electrical shock. He could SMELL the electricity it was that close. But Ryugi was tired of playing cat and mouse. He was tired of electricity, or lighting, or electrical charge, or electrons moving in a direction, or whatever his opponent was using, and he was ready to make everything stop. Enough of this ******** light show...

As his left hand gripped the Kali-Yuga, he locked it into a vice grip, and charged energy into the leylines in his gloves, which would serve to prevent the energy from the electrically charged weapon from flowing into him via that conduit. He'd then sheath Ragnarok with his right, as it was already close, and step back, literally YANKING Victor along with the force, making use of Victor's own momentum to provide much of the force, as his right hand left the sheathed blade and gripped the Kali-Yuga as well, that hand also being charged with energy to prevent the electricity from flowing into his body through that connection. Ryugi would still feel the heat from the energy in the area, and he roared out as he used his power to counter what he could.

Now, with both arms and his body, he would physically tear the weapon from Victor's hands. If Victor didn't let go, then he was going to go for one hell of a wild ride. Ryugi's full strength was finally going to be put to use. As Ryugi jerked and yanked the weapon, Victor would either hang on, or be swung around and moved across the course as Ryugi would spin. At this rate, Victor would either hold onto the weapon for dear life and attempt to shock the st out of Ryugi, who would grit his teeth and fight through it as he charged his body with energy to repel the electrical force, his adrenaline and pure force of will powering through it, or, his rate of rotation would simply be enough to fling him off the edge for a ring out. After all, he probably wouldn't have his cute little jetpack to save his a.

That meant that Victor would either have to hold on, or get flung off the edge. The choice was his. But in the long run, neither would be very pleasant experiences. Ryugi's red eyes burned as he was ready to put an end to this a**-hattery and make this a real brawl.

[13]

73Victor Kalliandrio

Victor was currently slamming the Kali-Yuga with the momentum of an electrical boost and his own weight into this strike... And Ryugi would use one hand to try to grab onto it? Ryugi would be lucky not to lose his entire arm if that was his only counter in stopping the Kali-Yuga.

Fortunately, Victor had an easy counter for this situation. Victor had aimed for Ryugi's side, more accurately he wanted to smash Ryugi in the lower ribs. Considering the distance between the first and second staff, Victor would simply make a quick adjustment to his current position and interrupt Ryugi before he made his silly counter.

Considering that each of Victor's hands were gripped onto the opposite ends of the Kali-Yuga, Victor had a clear strength advantage in this situation. Victor would counter Ryugi's grab by pulling the left hand back/up with one staff of the Kali-Yuga and pulling back on the right hand. Twirling the Kali-Yuga just as Ryugi would try to get a solid vice grip on it, Victor would use the added force behind the Kali-Yuga to jam the opposite end into the inside of Ryugi's armpit. Continuing with the momentum and electrical boost, he would slam the Kali-Yuga inside to dislocate his shoulder.

Since Ryugi wanted to sheathe his sword during this, he wouldn't have another hand available to stop Victor. And with the added electrical boost, he felt good about this.

Victor Kalliandrio Wrote:

Victor was currently slamming the Kali-Yuga with the momentum of an electrical boost and his own weight into this strike... And Ryugi would use one hand to try to grab onto it? Yep. And it would work too. The weapon was gripped by Ryugi's hand as it came in to hit his side, which allowed Ryugi's arm and hand time to absorb the force and momentum of the weapon before his body would take the rest of the force. That extra force was dispersed throughout Ryugi's arm, arm muscles, shoulder, shoulder muscles, and chest muscles, which allowed him to easily grasp the weapon, albeit with a bit of discomfort.

Victor's "counter" would actually ASSIST Ryugi in manhandling the weapon. Since the weapon was jutted up into Ryugi's armpit, Ryugi would simply hold the weapon there as he jerked back anyway despite Victor's efforts, negating the attempted force of the weapon, which would give him ample time to move his right hand down and grip the weapon as originally intended.

Nothing had changed about Ryugi's move, except in how it was performed, and since Victor's "counter" had failed, and time moved continuously forward, and did not stop, go backwards, or loop-dee-loop, Victor would now be swinging around on the end of his weapon like a ragdoll in the wind thanks to Ryugi's strength, and Victor's attempted counter, which had failed. Or if he let go, would be thrown clear out of the ring unless he could somehow fly without his bumblebee weapon.

Ryugi would continue the spinning of the weapon, the speed only increasing, and making it even harder for Victor to hang on due to the centrifugal force. As for any shocking techniques, Ryugi's charged body would serve to prevent the flow of energy into his form. Perhaps Victor SHOULDN'T have felt so good about this after all...

75Victor Kalliandrio

Time continued in the present. The actions were ones that Ryugi intended, but they were still in the midsts of happening. They hadn't happened yet.

It was incredible that the shot hadn't worked on him, but Ryugi screwed up his own plan in the process.

Victor would witness Ryugi clamp his armpit down on one of the poles of the Kali-Yuga and hold it there. By doing this, Ryugi killed the momentum necessary to use Victor's own force against him. As Ryugi would lean back to try to throw Victor, Victor would obviously resist and pull in the other direction.

Ryugi wouldn't get the desired effect of lifting Victor into the air. Victor would set his weight down for added effect. And by using his own weight, he was about 165 lbs. Counting the weight from his metallic pants (185) and his own physical strength resisting, he wasn't some child that Ryugi could toss around. And with the added electricity covering Ryugi's position, it was amazing that Ryugi hadn't been shocked unconscious. Victor had to keep the pressure up, even if it didn't seem to have a great amount of effect.

Ryugi did slightly outweigh Victor, therefore, Ryugi would be tugging him around by his own weapon, likely dragging him across the floor.

As Ryugi would drag Victor across the floor, Victor would start to work on a lightning charge, despite the cloud of electricity that seemed to surround them.

STRIKER OFFENSIVE

77LordKanti

LoL wut indeed.

Someone had watched one too many DBZ re-runs with his bowl of wheaties on Saturday Mornings. Iblis hadn't predicted this course though. Ryugi had stepped up his game when Victor had dodged death from above Adamant Rain. Apparently this meant pumping so much magical energy through his body that he was capable of overpowering a guy of the same height and weight class with a single arm. Because you know its impossible to think that Victor would ever have as much magical energy as Ryugi and there was simply a limit to what human muscles could do.

Iblis had already left Ryugi's line of sight, stalking over to join Team Phoenix on the side-lines when Victor had decided to land right next to her. But Ryugi could probably see her from that third eye in the back of his head, after all he was super man and everything. But lets just assume for a second Iblis doesnt know that Ryugi is watching her every action while throwing Victor around like a rag doll.

Her cane would clatter to the floor and she would start striding into the immediate combat zone. Victor and Ryugi would be stuck in their little tug-of-war while Iblis would advance. When she reached the ten foot mark she would flip the switch, Victor would be just leaving the air by the time she activated the FIGHTER. Somewhere in his dull mind he would probably register the vibrating arm band that told him it was time for a striker.

SHOOM

A stone would fly from the keep towards the back of Ryugi's head, the angle was slightly to the left. Knowing Ryugi he would probably see it coming and duck, dodge, or otherwise smash it to dust. But it was a start. He would hopefully be angled to the left while Kanti came in from the right.

She was half-sprinting, though Ryugi had no idea how fast the genderless wonder could run so for all he knew she was breaking her legs to reach him. Her right arm was cocked back for a haymaker, swinging in to the inevitable block. But wait! Iblis would jerk her right arm back at the last moment before it could be grabbed or otherwise crush Ryugi's jaw. Right leg swinging up in a simple yet effective arch right towards the dragon jewels inbetween his legs. Yea' human form sucked.

He could wear a cup, most men did, what they didn't realize is that would probably make things worse for them in the long run. Iblis may not have been able to chuck men around with a single arm but she was still as magically powerful as the next person. A well placed kick to a cup would shatter it sending the shards into his sack along with a foot. Yea'... Ryugi had probably forgotten his this morning anyways.

Iblis hoped Ryugi's balls weren't made of steal like the rest of his body, Iblis hoped Ryugi would be too stunned by the attack to react. Iblis would resume her earlier attack in the blink of an eye, arm thrust down for his throat this time. She would snap her first open, aiming to clamp her fingers around Ryugi's throat and driving her palm against his adams apple, squeezing the life out of the little ********.

She would take only a second to spit in his face before trying to carry his stunned body into the air, just to thrust him right back to the ground in a choke slam. But she wouldn't let go as he hit the ground, her hand would remain around his throat until he pried her fingers off, if he could.

What if Ryugi didn't have eyes in the back of his head? What if he took a brick to the skull and just stood there dumb founded, would Iblis be a little nicer. Well he hadn't been a little nicer to her captain so that answer would be a no. Her leg would snap up with even less chance of resistance this time, aiming to plant her foot in the same sweet little spot. Then she would just lift him up from behind. It really didn't matter if he faced or not. Beat downs were fun like that.

And if Ryugi countered it all. Well hell this post is already too long as it is and when you were a super saiyan there were hundreds of options open to you. Iblis would just wait and see how he decided to counter her before forming a new plan. She just hoped he remembered not to hit strikers.

(( OOC Note: Victor is not letting Ryugi spin around like he desires. Effect would have Ryugi's back facing, let say North, Victors back facing South. Ryugi is unable to overpower Victor and instead drags him roughly half-circle, their roles are now reversed.

Iblis is coming in from the East and Ryugi never specified which direction he turned in, so lets assume he spun so he would be facing west. Iblis would be coming in at an angle towards his back, not completely behind him but facing his back. At least thats how we figured it'd go. You know unless Ryugi is allowed to force Victor to accept what he does.

Keep on judgin' judges. ))

...aaaaanyways... I'd been intending to pull out all the stupid stuff from both posts and laughing at them individually, but there's far too much there to do so.

  1. Electricity does not have kinetic energy. It has insubstantial weight and passes through things. The reason people get 'hit' is because it ******** up their nervous system and causes their muscles to spasm. The reason things 'explode' is because it superheats the interior due to poor conductivity.

So... FIRE.

  1. If Victor weighs roughly the same weight as Ryugi it spinning him in a crazy way would be impossible. Spinning him in a regular way would be possible, with some serious back-leaning. Otherwise it'd just be the nutcracker suite ballet on the rooftop there.
  1. Nutshots are cardable.
  1. MOVE ALONG. ]]

82Ryugi Kazamaru

So, Victor suddenly got alot heavier and his bare chest would be scraping across the ground. Not exactly as cool as being slammed into a Gargoyle, but bare skin wasn't designed to scrape across a rough surface. This meant pain and blood. But at least his metal pants would protect his legs. Its a shame they didn't ride up far enough up his a** to protect his bare torso.

Then, something hit him hard in the back of the head. He saw stars for a moment and had a headache, but since Victor was on the ground in front of him and couldn't have possibly thrown something at the BACK of his head, Ryugi could only assume that someone else had thrown it. Perhaps the same person from before? Ryugi wouldn't have to wait long to find out as fast footfalls on brick announced the charge of someone. Ryugi could only assume that it was another STRIKER. And sure enough, here came Iblis once more to try and save the team captain. Ryugi turned to face the incoming onslaught.

One would wonder with all that electricity flying around how Iblis was able to walk through it all and not take any damage, but hey, these things happen. As Ryugi was still gripping the Kali-Yuga in both of his hands, which was still burning with Electricity that was trying very very hard to shock Ryugi, and was now facing Iblis, he essentially had a shield to block himself from the onslaught of Iblis. Now, Ryugi had no need for a cup. Most fighters didn't aim shots below the belt because they were more honorable than that. But, Iblis was obviously very upset, and would stoop to any level to protect the captain. Ryugi quickly attempted to move the lighting charged Kali-Yuga to block Iblis' incoming punch, but WAIT!!

lololololol nutshot!

That did indeed hurt. Alot actually. You see, Ryugi wasn't invincible. Powerful and resistant yes, but not invincible. He'd been defeated many times, including a very strong defeat in his second round during HoH 07.

Victor had spent most of the round flying in the air, where Ryugi really had no option but to use energy based attacks, since he couldn't fly. Ryugi had avoided his electrical blast by sensing the energy buildup before the attack, and leaping out of the way. One wouldn't say that an attack was an insta-hit now would they? Of course not. Then, Ryugi landed on the ground, and had proceeded to charge his next attack. Victor chose to fly around and not fire energy at him, which would have canceled Ryugi's move if he'd chosen to avoid the strike by moving.

Then, the streamers were released and the second phase of the attack began. Once more, Victor flew around in the air and did nothing, and did not try to launch an attack that would ultimately stop the final phase as Ryugi would have had to make sure that the second phase went off without interruption in order for the final phase to come to fruition. Once more, Victor could have done SOMETHING to stop the move from coming about, but he did not. Thus sealing the attack into place.

And finally, the last phase came down from the sky, aiming to slam Victor into the ground. Ryugi really didn't have any other choice, unless he wanted to stand around, and wait for his opponent to land, since firing any attack towards him as he was flying would have ultimately wound up being dodged due to the range between Ryugi and Victor, and Victor's ability to speed out of the way. Adamant Rain was the only attack that Ryugi had in his arsenal that could strike an opponent from the sky while he was on the ground. The attack was amplified in power due to Victors height off the ground anyway. Normally, the attack would have gone from ground level, knocked an opponent 20 or so feet in the air, and then slammed them back into the ground for bone-crushing damage, but not something as powerful as this.

But STILL Victor had managed to avoid the attack without getting any real damage to his person, thanks to his metal pants, and his ability to boost. So, Ryugi's powers didn't seem to work on Victor, and Victor had easily managed to outrun Ryugi's last sword based attack. This left Ryugi with only one option.

Brutality, and his physical strength.

Ryugi's strength and power of will were all that he had now when dealing with Iblis' nutshot. He winced, he coughed, he sputtered, and his eyes watered. It was hard to stand, and then came the hand that clamped around his neck and began to choke him as it lifted him up. Oh ******** that. Ryugi dropped the Kali-Yuga and gripped the arm of Iblis with both hands in as tight a grip as he could as he flexed the muscles in his neck to give Iblis something a little harder to squeeze than a soft and squishy airway, which would impede the success of the choke. As he felt a slam begin, his legs shot out behind him and caught himself before it could happen, one leg slightly in front of the other for support.

Amidst the electricity, the power flowing through him to protect himself from it, the two consecutive nut shots, and the choke, Ryugi was draining himself immensely. He wasn't sure how much longer he could keep going.

...

...

And what the ******** happened to the 10 second limit on STRIKERs?

Of course, that wasn't really going to matter, as Ryugi gripped the arm of Iblis as tight as he could, which would hopefully prevent the angry teammate from retreating in the 10 second time limit, which all this would be getting dangerously close to hitting already...

At this point, Ryugi was sure that Victor was going to do something nasty to him. Of course, if he wanted to shock Ryugi, the current would easily shock his team mate too. Which, all the energy around the both of them should have been doing already. Unless Victor had stopped his shocking, and or Iblis was immune to electricity.

83Eternal Dirge

" You've got to let her go Ryu! We don't need another card!" Damion yelled, hoping to get Ryugi's attention and maybe calm him down alittle. He wanted his chance to fight Iblis without her being preinjured in some fashion.

84-HoH- Judge

A Judge leaped out into the ring in a completely laid-out dive. His arms were stretched out in front of him and his legs were thrown out behind him and the entire world seemed to be moving in slow motion as it took painfully long seconds for the Judge to fly through the air... some people may even have started hallucinating and thinking they heard someone shouting "nooooooooooo~" during the whole thing.

This would not be the case however, as the Judge was actually shouting

"Yelloooooooooooooooooooooow!"

The armored lawmaker crashed onto the ground anticlimactically; quite far from anywhere that he might have been trying to dive to. Time resumed as normal, and though quite a few cameras had turned on the Judge the moment he entered the ring, the only thing staring back at the television screens in homes across Gaia were stupefied expressions and slack jaws.

"...Card! Ilblis! Elohelohelohelohel Nutshot!"

There was a cash-register ding and a yellow strip of paper ejected itself from the Judge's fist.

85Victor Kalliandrio

Losing the momentum from his strike and using up a failed electrical boost, Victor's electrical field was already starting to shrink. And considering that Victor wasn't able to brace himself for damage with the metallic jeans, he wouldn't have the mental concentration to maintain any electrical charge with the current pain.

He would be dragged across the floor immediately after losing the momentum. Since he wouldn't be able to keep concentration on an electrical charge if his opponent was getting him all bloodied up, this would further disrupt the electrical cloud that he once produced. The lightning would likely disperse and return to the Kali-Yuga, since it consisted of two long, metallic "X" shaped bow staffs that conducted the electricity. He would think to himself,

Unlike Ryugi, Victor wasn't a juggernaut. Victor had the metallic pants to keep him safe and use them effectively to defend himself. Without them defending him and being dragged (likely across concrete), he would feel horrible "rug burns" across the right side of his torso and right arm.

Before Victor could take any further damage, something seemed to disrupt Ryugi's current pull. From the corner of Victor's vision, he could see Iblis right behind Ryugi's position. Ryugi had already fallen prey to some sort of hit that made him tear him.

By the time Iblis would be arriving to do the OFFENSIVE STRIKER, the electrical cloud was already sizzling out. Ryugi had successfully disrupted the electrical charge, but might still be shocked by the remnants of the charged electricity that might have flowed through the Kali-Yuga. Ryugi was holding it, after all. This would be out of range from Iblis's current position.

As Ryugi was wincing from the shot that Iblis hit him with, it was time for Victor to collect himself. Taking a moment to recover, he was also recollecting some of his recent memories. They would appear as picture visuals from his perspective:

He couldn't forget the overpowered tricks that Ryugi had done. He tried to do a kill-move on Victor when he unleashed the force of the light from the sky. Considering that he was forty feet in the air, it would've likely killed him if he hadn't gotten out of the way. But hey, I guess you have to do what you can to defeat your opponent, right?

Ryugi was able to block anything with the gloves on hands. Electricity being conducted into his body and made no visible effect throughout all of this, despite the fact that he clearly had plenty of objects that conducted electricity on his body. It could only be assumed at this point, that Ryugi was immune to the lightning like he was.

Trying to launch off the sheathe as a projectile failed to work. And Ryugi only needed to put out one hand up to block a full force swing with the Kali-Yuga. It became obvious to Victor that Ryugi could block anything with his hands.

The collection of images all came to him within milliseconds after each other. The adrenaline rush was pumping through his body. Victor would start to get up to his feet as Iblis tried to place a choke hold on Ryugi. Ryugi let go of the Kali-Yuga, as it fell back into Victor's grasp. Perfect.

Iblis was now keeping Ryugi's attention. Considering that Ryugi turned to face Iblis, Victor would take a position from behind. He would take a horizontal swing with the Kali-Yuga and slam it into the side of Ryugi's left knee. It would likely test the strength of the rest of his body, since his hands were god-like. At the very least, Victor hoped it would knock Ryugi off balance for a moment.

86Ryugi Kazamaru

Well s**t.

What a gang-bang this was turning into.

Ryugi's hearing was still operating fine, even if his body felt like crap.

He'd probably throw up after this match was over...

But he heard Victor clammoring to his feet, metal pants and all, signaling he was getting up and getting ready to do his thing, apparently. Well, that sucked. Seeing as Ryugi's hands were tied up, and his legs were holding off Iblis' assault, there was really little he could do to stop the...

-WHAM-

...hit to his left leg. It didn't really hurt all that much since he had his knee and shin guards built into his boots, and the Kali-Yuga had slammed into his armor more than his leg itself, but that didn't mean it didn't have force behind it. Force that would cause Ryugi's left leg to buckle. Ryugi would instinctively release his hold on Iblis to try and counter-balance the weight, but he failed. Ryugi would fall onto his back, but not before chambering and pulling up his right leg to his chest, and kicking it HARD at Iblis. Hopefully THAT would pry free the grip that was still threatening to choke Ryugi. At least Ryugi wasn't holding onto Iblis anymore and wasn't holding the...whatever the ****** Iblis was...in the ring anymore. Though, 10 seconds hadn't passed yet, but it was DANGEROUSLY CLOSE. If Iblis didn't teleport out of the ring, it was unlikely that ...it... would make it out in time, probably resulting in another card. But what did Iblis care? Apparently beating Ryugi was more important than cards, so, hey, what the ******? Why not add a few more on top? Maybe they could disqualify themselves in the process just to prove how powerful they were. Then everyone would be happy.

Ryugi would now be on his back, and trying to PRY Iblis off of his body with his foot. God knows what Victor was doing. He was probably getting ready to smack Ryugi again. Meanwhile, as Victor's lightning seemed to have worn off, or at least stopped for the time being, Ryugi would lower down his own energy that had served as a barrier to the energy from Victor. However, the damage had been done to Ryugi's stamina, it was very low after holding so much energy for so long and fighting off the electric assault from Victor, and it was also low due to fighting off Iblis' nutshot.

Only a little longer...

[16]

87LordKanti

Iblis had placed faith in her captain, faith that he wasn't an idiot who would hurt himself. After all no one was allowed to be immune to their element and as far as Iblis knew it was Kali-Yuga that generated the lightning anyways not Victor. He had never specified though and Iblis had never bothered to ask, carrying a giant metal-x around didn't seem all that practical, Ryugi had a really big sword, so what if he had the balance of a one legged boozer while swinging it, at least it made sense in a basic kind of way. Luckily Iblis would never have to find out whether the light show was all bark and no bite, the street wise captain would lose his concentration well before she had reached the enemy dragon-man. The residual effects of static in the air left her hair standing on end though, so thats how Ryugi got his hair like that?

Iblis was tough, magically tough, the best kind. It allowed her to lift a dragon-man with armor and ******** into the air. But as soon as Ryugi began shifting his weight around he would find she set him right back on his feet rather then risk toppling over. Apparently Iblis wasn't that tough. Maybe she should start tipping her boots with kryptonite, that'd be sure to keep those darn Supermen stunned long enough for an awesome yet impractical striker.

So Ryugi grabbed her arms, there was her excuse for not leaving the fighting zone in ten seconds. After all with all the strength he had shown against Victor he could probably have been trying to snap her wrist in two, with both hands, poor Iblis was stuck there pressing her thumb into his tensed up adams apple in hopes that the lack of oxygen would make him let go. Oh and Iblis had her left hand at the side of Ryugi's head trying to drive a thumb into his eye to make him let go too, that was the reason...

CRASH

Somewhere in the background a flying judge had just left his outline in the keeps roof. As if it hadn't taken enough damage when Ryugi had literally concaved the entire mid-section with his death beams. "s**t another card."

The roof gave an unsteady rumble, Victor slammed Kali-Yuga back into of Ryugi's knees, all this lead to one inevitable factor. Superman was falling down. Iblis wasn't planning to be on top when he hit the floor either. She'd lift onto the balls of her feet and snap up into a hop, the hand on Ryugi's neck and the other on his head tugging him forward as much as she could in the final moments of her life on solid ground.

Iblis would curl her legs into her chest, unclamping her hands from Ryugi's body as he continued his fall backwards, each thrusting themselves out to meet his chest. If all went well they would meet him heel first, probably sending him flat onto his back a little quicker. And the already falling Ryugi wouldn't be fast enough to kick Iblis first, not accuratley at least. But that didn't really matter, he'd get what he wanted anyways. The force of the hit would send her body flying back, well may be flying was a bit of an exaggeration. But with the clearly dented floor her body sailed an extra few inches before hitting the ground, the sting from stone hitting unarmored back would be a little sharper.

Iblis would roll down the floor, escaping the fight zone just within' the ten second time limit. She would come to a stop at the epicenter that marked where Ryugi had been standing. Body sprawled out only a few inches away from the judge, hat lying somewhere in the middle of the battle zone just waiting to be crushed, and monocle shattered on the floor.

"..."

"You know that armor is pretty sexy."

88Victor Kalliandrio

Ryugi was falling back and Victor could only react with his current movement. Victor would have to follow through with the momentum of his swing and quickly sidestep to the right side. Once out of the way, Victor would immediately take a long stride in a diagonal right direction, away from Ryugi's falling body as he turned back around. When Victor turned, he would witness Ryugi's body just hitting the ground. Victor was now facing Ryugi's direction, with Iblis on top. Victor was about four feet away from Ryugi, standing in a diagonal-right direction to Ryugi's fallen position.

He had watched Ryugi's body buckle under the force of his swing. The Kali-Yuga took effect and actually stopped him for once. Victor could only think to himself, "Finally."

The situation had started to turn around with Iblis's offensive actions. Shi was fairly crazy, but Victor never doubted hir ferocity and hir level of fighting talent. But shi seemed fully capable of stealing his opponent at the moment, which he really didn't like at all.

Despite this, his twisted pride didn't stop him from taking advantage of a good opportunity. He certainly liked the position that shi placed Ryugi in. Iblis had given Victor enough time to get the earlier swing off with the Kali-Yuga and prepare himself for the next strike. And now, he was already in position for an attack.

During the little struggle, Victor would pull back the Kali-Yuga for a swing. Considering that Ryugi would have to turn his head (while laying back) to face Victor, it seemed to work out for him.

When it looked like shi was only going to continue hir attack, Ryugi kicked hir off anyways. Victor didn't know how long Iblis had really stayed in there, but there was no time to think about penalty cards. He was already in position to get his move off and to swing the Kali-Yuga into Ryugi.

There was only one tactic left in mind: Hit and run.

Just as Ryugi kicked Iblis off of him, Victor would use the reach of the Kali-Yuga to do a diagonal swing from the four foot range (left arm heading) towards Ryugi's head. It would likely appear to be from a visual blindside spot of Ryugi (upper-right position from his fallen body).

Victor would try to take advantage of the reach of the Kali-Yuga with it's six foot range. He would be able to work with a little over five feet of it and try to use the swinging momentum to slam it into the side of Ryugi's head. Regardless if it connected, Victor would pull the Kali-Yuga back with him and step back further away from Ryugi's lying position. Victor would be making room to keep an eye on Ryugi and see how he would react. He didn't want to get too careless.

Ryugi might have been knocked down, but Victor could only assume that he had more strength left in him. Victor was pretty damn tired from the amount of electricity he had generated throughout the match. He was breathing heavy when he had escaped the falling light from the sky and he hadn't been given any breaks since that special attack. And there was some skin abrasions along his right torso. His right arm had taken a greater toll, with skin abrasions and a bit of blood dripping from them.

If it stopped Ryugi, good. If not, Victor could only brace himself with the room he made.

89Ryugi Kazamaru

-CLUNK-

That was the sound that Ryugi's noggin made when the Kali-Yuga hit it. Ryugi had all kinds of senses, but given his current situation...

Nut shot.

Choking.

ATTEMPTED eye-gouging.

Heavy power use.

He was really feeling his exhaustion. He heard the weapon whooshing through the air, but couldn't react fast enough to stop it. Thus, just after he got hit, he would kick himself upright, flipping onto his feet. His reaction time had been hampered due to the compounding injuries and exhaustive move combinations. he was feeling drained and tired, but he was still on his feet, for the moment anyway. Ryugi half expected another STRIKER from the team to finish him off by kicking him off the edge or something, but it wouldn't come. Panting, he would stare across the ring at the retreating Victor, as a bit of blood finally found its way through his spiky silver hair and dripped down his face from the brick and the head shot with the Kali-Yuga.

Almost... But not quite enough...

The match was finally over...

Wait... what?

"Unsportsmanlike conduct! Ilblis! Since this is your second offense the penalty is increased. Red Card on Team Heavy Metal Kings!"

The Judge clapped his hands together on the yellow card from earlier and then held it up for Ilblis to see clearly. One side was the yellow, but one side had turned red with some sort of magical, mystical wizardry... or chemicals. SCIENCE and all that.

"You are still under warning. Another infraction will earn your team yet another red card."

It was at that time that the Judge leaned forwards with a piercing leer at the Amazon... who was standing beside the Judge... at the 'epicenter' of where Ryugi had been standing... still in the ring.

Apparently she hadn't moved back quite far enough. Apparently she had stayed in just a bit too long and didn't have time to completely make it back to hir team's sidelines. Apparently she hadn't considered that attempting to choke out an opponent after telekineticaly flinging things at him, kicking him in the stones, and being held onto for a few seconds might take a bit of time. And unless she'd managed to get a few dozen feet off of that kick-off on Ryugi's chest, she really wasn't that far away from them at all... laying on her back in a crater of crushed bricks.

And so the Judge stared.

"All the ladies want a piece of this armor."

91LordKanti

Iblis immediatley stuck her finger inside her mouth, effectively sucking off all the juices from her finger and just a little coppery dragon blood. Muffling 'nah uh' in a childish attempt to sway the judges decision, but sadly it was final. The red card was there to stay.

Iblis would snap up to her feet with a demure roll of her shoulders, strolling roughly five feet away, giving Ryugi and Victor a twenty foot radius while they glared at eachother for the final time. Then the match was over... and Iblis walked right back to the center.

"One of my team mates has a cold, so I'll be fighting the next two matches by myself."

Iblis would arch her back, right arm stretching craning overhead to stretch out and then the left one followed.

"Oh also... we're called the Heavy Metal Kings for a reason."

Iblis may have been genderless, but by personnal decision he was most definantly male. Offering one last wink to the downed judge Iblis would spin around on the heel of his left foot. Dropping into a haunched stance, right leg sliding itself forward, left leg angling back. His right arm was up hanging a few inches away from his face for attacking, the left tucked close to the body for and sudden defensive moves. Essentially mimicing everything he had seen Victor do for the past two rounds. It really didn't matter which member of Team Phoenix would face off against is. They would both be fighting her regardless. Unless of course they were scared...

What's that in the sky?! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? NO! It's... "POWDEEEEEEERED TOOOOOOAST MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN~" The great ethereal being known as Linken Seki Rocuta landed directly in the ring. His feet and even the palms of his hands crashed in to the roof, cracking it into peices and crumbling the entire arena. He stood up straight, ignoring the sudden uproar of mayhem, and turned his head to the sun. His hands at his waist, he stood triumphantly, and let out a harsh battle cry of "Harble plz."

The fans were struck with fear. Those who were still alive of course. Ryugi and his team had ultimately been destroyed in Linken's crash landing. They just weren't strong enough it seemed. His arms pulsated with manly vibes, and just as the fans were lured in to a false sense of security, a toot could be heard from Linken's backside. "********." He exclamented.

IN A FLASH! The entire arena was engulfed in HOLY WATER! FROZEN HOLY WATER! WITH SHARKS TOO! Not one would survive except for Linken. The judges would find themselves slowly slipping into a frozen enduced coma, but they would awaken just in time for next years HoH! It's true! Sadly by then Linken will have ruled the world.

The end.

((Ignores the fruit cake))

Rae had watched all the fun from the pile of bricks she had slid down on, wondering what the hell kind drugs the other team was on as she picked herself off and tried not to limp from all the scratches she had managed to pick up in her fall.

She tugged at Damions sleeve and hauled him off to Ryugi. The match was over, it was time to go back to the hotel and camp out in the sauna for a few more days smilies/icon_xp.gif smilies/icon_xd.gif

Since the match was officially over there was no restriction about her using her other abilities and she healed Ryugi's boo boos with a touch and bounced them away from the scene so that she didn't have to walk past people she was trying to pretend she didn't know smilies/icon_rofl.gif

Suddenly, a young man with orange hair dressed in a pair of jeans and a blue shirt with the words "NICE VIBE" written across the chest barged into the spectator's area.

"Urameshi?"

Apparently, he was looking for the fight between Team Urameshi and Team Frozen Flame, which was also held somewhere on the Von Helson estate. However, seeing that none of the fighters were from either of those teams, it had seemed as if he had taken a wrong turn.

"Crap! Wrong place..."

He turned to look at the other spectators watching on the sidelines, who were all eyeing him like he was some sort of idiot for barging in to the wrong event.

"Uhh...sorry 'bout that..."

And he would be off as soon as he had arrived.
