Stage0: Preliminaries

The Things Fox Hates Dojo

I think they may do Taekwondo here, and hey, is that a picture of John Cena?

A fighting arena of classical proportion, though those proportions don't have to be exactly defined. As long as the dojo has four walls, a roof and a floor, we're good with whatever size you decide on. The decor of course is just what you'd picture from an old kung-fu movie.

Terrain

General - Regular indoor floor, as interrupted occasionally by a mat for padding.

Weapons - One picture of John Cena.

Bonus Effects - Across the street one can occasionally hear mariachi music from the all night restaurant.

Red Player: Fox

Representing: Team ALL

Played By: C. Fox

Blue Player: Gailes

Representing: Chumptastic Delight

Played By: Kraun

Who cares, let's get it on.

Damn it Kraun, made me change the title.

2Kraun

"ALRIGHT, LETS DO THIS." the voice came out of nowhere. Well actually, it came out of the mouth of one Gailes Bourguesse. And then bam, he jumped through the silly stick and paper window, or door, or something to land on the hard wood floor of the dojo.

3Show me the CarFox

Fox was kneeling in the middle of the dojo, like the owner he is. Eyes closed, both fists balled, with the knuckles lying on each hip.

Fox wore a Karate Gi, with the sleeves rolled up and a Fed-Ex'd Black belt wrapped around his waist. Normally, he wouldn't wear this much s**t to fight, but... just for show.

FOR THE BUDO AND THE SPIRIT

--anyways, Fox stood up, walked up to the John Cena picture and took a stance. The place was silent for a moment, until he started sprinting, sprinting towards the picture. Fox took a leap, gathering the power of a thousand suns; the Norse gods and the Chinese spirits, etc. Fox FLYING KICK'd that ********

''RRRAAAHHH"

Actually, the gathering s**t was bullshit, but that didn't stop him from busting through the picture and slamming into the wall.

[Insert Dan Hibiki sfx]

Fox sprung back to his feet and shook his Gi off with his mighty right hand.

''Coulda injured my ******** leg there.'' swoosh~

Fox removed his entire Gi, along with the belt, with a single swift, anime style, taking a fighting stance afterwards, meanfacing whoever walked into the dojo. Both arms up, forty-five degrees, southpaw and all that nonsensu.

Here we go, time to throw down the fisticuffs.

Gailes didnt do nothing fancy, he just went straight at the guy, doing a quick jog to get to him. No leading arm, no fighting stance. It wasnt like he could stand really far away and spam HADOUKEN over and over again.

So anyway, as soon as he got close, HE LEAPED INTO THE AIR. Haha, what an idiot. He was just trying to collide into the man, both legs folding up in front of his gut, feet closer together than the knees. His hands were balled into fists, forearms pressed up against the side of his head, elbows closer together than his hands were, which were actually covering his temples. Sort of like making a V shape with his arms and legs.

He just straight up wanted to cannonball into the man. Whatever comes afterwards... well, he didnt think that far ahead.

5Show me the CarFox

''What the f-''

Fox watched as his opponent cannonballed towards him. Obviously, Fox wasn't gonna stand there and get cannonballed. Well, he could stay there and cover up, take it like a man. But he had something else on his mind, like retaliating or something.

So Fox simply flailed his arms back, simultaneously shuffling backwards to avoid his opponent. Fox had gotten back enough to pull off his next move, with enough distance to gather good momentum.

Szzz!!

Fox returned the favor by wheel kicking down-towards Gailes, which was presumably lying on the floor. It seemed like Fox just wanted to fall on the guy, but what he really intended was to have his right heel crash upon the opponents head.

Thats if Gailes was standing. No, the super obvious move was easy to see through, so Gailes had rolled himself up into a nice defensive ball. If Fox had a weapon, then Gailes would have been screwed, but that wasnt the case, so there really wasnt much Fox could do about it aside from evade the super obvious attack.

But that was another one of the wonders of unorthodoxed fighting. Gailes didnt get up, his missed attack only sent him flying through the air until he hit the ground, tilting his body to one side as he rolled onlt his side and used the built up momentul of his leap to swing his legs around horizontally like a sweep, while lying on his left side.

This would be considered an interrupt before Fox threw his own kick, just as he backed up, so it would be possible for Fox to just take another step back or even jump up and land on top of Gailes if he wanted to.

7Show me the CarFox

Yeah it was pretty much just Fox giving a go at it. Jus' being flashy.

Anywho.

Fox still went with the wheel kick, but it'd miss, since Gailes titled to the side. Fox just slammed his own self, but he is used to this due to many Ukemi/Breakfall drills. Instead, Fox breakfall'd upon hitting the wooden floor -being already in the position to do so- immediately rolling forward upon impact with all that momentum and springing back up onto his feet. Now he was away from Gailes.

So he got into stance, right side leading. Fox dashed towards Gailes, but stopped halfway, just wanting to alert Gailes back to his feet.

Ooo, back to stand-up eh?

Well, missing again, Gailes would slide to a halt as he rolled over to face Fox, or was it more like he exited the sweep after a one-eighty?

Oh well, he was still on the ground, still on his side.

And this is where he kicked out his left foot, sliding it forward as his right followed and he slid onto his but, his back bent so that his lower back was on the ground, his upper torso suspended.

It was like he was sitting down, but leaning really far back, legs bent and pointing in Fox`s direction. His hands were also bent, at his sides to help prop his upper body up.

Why did Fox stop? He should have kept on going. A spar and a fight were different things, so he shouldnt have to wait and let him get up. Because Gailes didnt get up, he pushed with his hands alternately to advance, sliding his a** against the wooden floor, kinda like a crabwalk, but more sliding and less walking.

And when he got real close, he'd try to get a foot, in this case, lets say his left, between Fox's legs so that he could hook his foot around the back of his right knee and yank to remove balance from that foot, either making him lift and shift his weight, or trip him up. He kept both hands on the ground at his sides to help keep himself proped up, 'cause then he'd be able to push his body around more easily to react.

9Show me the CarFox

Fox wanted to avoid Ground-Fighting as much he could. He has his own reasons.

''Hmh?''

Fox's leg was hooked as he stopped, luckily, he had already stop, so he wouldn't stumble over Gailes or trip or nothing. His balance would change however, but lifting the right leg up by yanking it made it slightly easy for Fox to shake said leg off Gailes -hooking- leg.

So when Fox's right knee was raised, Fox flicked the right leg out and to his own right, removing it from Gailes left leg.

''Hieh!'' Then followed by lashing it at Gailes' left leg. In other words, Fox low (Roundhouse) kicked Gailes left leg -at the thigh-, which Gailes used to hook. Upon whipping the kick at Gailes leg, Fox's right leg would slightly recoil, where Fox, again, lashed another Roundhouse kick. This time, aimed at Gaile's face...

HAAH

... to at least graze Gailes nose.

Double RH kicks, just like a body-head punch combo with the same arm.

If the leg kick missed, he would try to return the leg as quick as he could to follow with the second kick. He wanted to kick that head, nonetheless.

10Kraun

Option number one. He lifted his leg, shifted his weight to his ight leg, and then slipped out of the hook. There was what he waited for; Fox had one leg on the ground, Gailes was up close, and he had access to the other man's legs.

The fighter had his left leg occupied with the tripping motion, while his right leg was free. If he was standing, that would be a problem, he'd be in the same predicament that Fox would be in. But he wasnt standing, he was almost sitting, his weight and balance placed mainly on his a** with his hands to support his weight and movements, not the legs.

And that is where Gailes made his move; when Fox was standing on one leg. He pushed with his arms to slide himself even closer, just so that his right leg would stick out past Fox's left leg. This placed Fox's left leg that he was standing on between Gailes'. But not only that, the fighter pushed harder with his right arm than his left as he jerked his torso to his left side, forcing himself to turn slightly and roll.

The motion was completed with his right leg bending around behind Fox's left leg, while Gailes' own left leg swung back down form the failed hook over his right foot to do one of them tringles. Only there was lots of room, and it wasnt a right angle, so the hold wasnt tight at all.

The reason he had pushed harder with his right hand and twisted his body was that with the leg trapping motion, he'd apply force against the back of the one leg Fox was standing on in order to trip him while he kicked at Gailes.

The most Gailes could do to defend himself was fold his left arm up, and place it against his gut while he rolled onto his left side, taking most of the force of the kick agaisnt his arm braced agaisnt his body. And boy, did that hurt. But the motion would supposedly trip Fox to make him fall forward. Or maybe backwards if he leaned back with the leg trip. Or if he saw it coming, he could probably just step his left foot back down instead of kicking and lift his right to escape with a backstep.

11Show me the CarFox

''Damn it'' Fox though.

At least the kick made good contact with Gailes arm. Sure enough, it would recoil and return and not end up in some awkward position.

''--******** that''

Fox wasn't going to get dragged there. Fox did fall forward, but the triangle itself was loose. So when Fox fell, he put both hands on the floor, slightly turned clockwise and pushed the ******** off. Using his right leg, of course.

Fox used it (the right leg, which was going over Gailes top leg) to thrust his right foot/heel into Gailes assbone, while simultaneous pulling/jerking his own left leg back as his arms remain in push up position, to successfully pull the leg out push hisself off Gailes, using both arm and leg. Well, since the triangle was already loose.

Fox would scramble back to his feet afterwards, facing Gailes. Probably like four feet away, a reasonable distance. He was slightly satisfied, as he got a good hit in.

''I think I made it clear. I won't stay in the ground.''

=(

Boot to the a** made his... well, you cant say slide away, since skin didnt slide as well as cloth like his pants did on the floor. But Fox got away.

He got up and turned to face the man and then shrugged.

"Hey, not like everyone's gonna fight like you want them to."

Also; man, did that kick hurt, right on the damn tailbone too. He rubbed his but a bit, trying to get the sensation of pain spread out.

Oh well, stand up it is. Both his hands went up, fists clenched at head level as his head lowered to help line up his skull and spine to absord blows better. He lead with his left leg, an orthodoxed stance.

Well, suppose Fox could make an attack this time.

Kraun Wrote:

"Hey, not like everyone's gonna fight like you want them to."

''Exactly''

For a moment there, Fox thought Gailes was going to stay on the ground. He was planning some acrobatic guard passes on the guy, but forget it.

Fox edged towards Gailes, entering the guys zone. Hey, he had to make the approach this time. Suddenly, Fox flicks a jab a Gailes (right hand, 'course). He merely flicked it, so he brought it back halfway, but again attacked, this time changing turning into a body blow to Gailes left.

''Ush!''

Mashiba style jab >> Body blow -same arm-

The left arm was tightly held up on his face when he threw the body blow, for defensive purposes. Fox didn't want to get hit in the temple, now.

After throwing the body blow, Fox would literally shove Gailes away. Not a huge push, just a shove. His left arm was still be higher than his right. What could it be for?

Well, this kept things easier to write.

With the flicking jab, Gailes did a quick headslip to is right as Fox's right hand skimmed the outside of his left forearm and tried to advance to get real up close and personal. but he only gained about three or four inches forward before another punch came in.

In defense, Gailes swept his left arm downwards and out in a clockwise motion to sweep in and push Fox's wrist out and make partial block. He did not block the hand/fist, which is meant to strike, but rather, he blocked the wrist with his elbow as he stepped in, parrying it with a sweeping motion.

And then his left arm straightened out from its bent position, lashing out with a jab at Fox's right side, targetting his eye, followed by a right cross to perform a one-two. Because the motion is suppose to be quick and fluid, he did not wait to see if his jab connected before throwing that right punch. Pretty much one motiona nd all that.

15Show me the CarFox

Situation changed. The body blow was parried, but Fox saw this as a window to Counter. the right hand might have been parried, but Fox still had his left hand up and ready, tightly cocked. This is where Fox would Counter simultaneous to Gailes jab.

--Fox didn't really think there was a jab coming, or a 1-2 combo. But he saw an opening whilst Gailes parry.

So Fox countered, with a Left Straight. It came from a downwards direction, in a rising angle. Almost like an uppercut. fox didn't have much space, so he needed to throw it somehow.

It was hard for it to miss, considering how close they were. So it was likely to bang Gailes on the left side of the cheek or jaw, while Gailes's Jab hits him on the forehead, kinda like right in the middle. Fox would ''butt'' in, sticking his same left elbow on Gailes face while keeping his head low for protection. Gailes cross would go over Fox's left shoulder, slightly hitting Fox's head. The kind of punch that don't put you down, but is still felt.

The elbow-stick-in-face was to shove Gailes away and create a gap for a left low kick aimed at the inside of Gailes left thigh.

Smacked in the face and then shoved. It left a stinging sensation on the right side of his face.

Well, guess Gailes would back off for the moment. Sure, he could always just let Fox push his upper body and swing his legs un fron underneath to fall backwards and try and trip him up again, hence why he was trying to get real up close and personal past a good striking distance.

((I'm assuming when you say 'face', you mean across the center, nose level. Not specific enough for me to know the effect.))

Well, it was a good thing he didnt cram his arm in front of his eyes to block his vision with the push. 'Cause that at least let him catch a glimpse of the kick, which he would evade with a quick hop bakwards while switching to southpaw, swinging his left leg back.

Not dirty enough. Should have gone for the eyes to blind him.

Well, he went right back at it, stepping in quickly as to not waste time with his hands back up at the side of his head.

And then he jumped up into the air, whipping his body around counter clockwise to do a spin kick at Fox's head with the outside/heel of his left leg. His right leg was bent and tucked close to his body, so it didnt get in the way of his spinning kick.

17Show me the CarFox

The low kick missed its target, making the full thrown leg soar across. That took a little energy. Fox decided to stop the kick leg at 3' o clock, instead of 180-turning with it. Good thing, 'cause Gailes retaliated. Fox's sight never turned from Gailes, so he could see Gailes coming with an attack. however, all he could do was defend himself.

Fox turned counter-clock towards Gailes, bringing his hands up tight, the left leg now at 9 o clock.

He braced for it...

''Ack!"

Fox arms were blasted to the right, his head ringing, even though he blocked the attack. Fox stumbled to the right from the force of the impact, but soon regained his composure, loosening his shoulders and jetting air from his mouth

''OSU!'' --Fists up, southpaw fight stance once again.

Fox dashed towards Gailes, lifting his right knee as if he was going to throw a right roundhouse kick... or perhaps or a right flying knee?

Nonetheless, it was a feign. He telegraphed it enough to make believe it was a kick. Basically, Fox faked a right leg attack to setup a Superman Punch, throwing it with the right hand. Sure enough, it was aimed at Gailes face.

Something else might follow that Superman Punch.

8/10

18Kraun

8

Well, this is what Gailes was originally planning to do;

'Cause he figured Fox might have evaded and then tried to retaliate instead of blocking it.

But seeing as that was the case, and he didnt get that other kick out, it didnt happen. But he wasnt in any position to land on his feet or anything anyway, since he twisted his body into that position just for that set-up which never happened.

Gailes would land on his back, bending his body so most of his weight landed on his left shoulder as he rotated and rolled over, back onto his a**, with his legs facing Fox and his hands at his side to prop his torso up.

It was like the same transition form before, he make a jumping attack, but he never planned to get back up to fight, going from sanding to grounded right away.

So if Fox still came in and lifted his right knee in feint, Then Gailes just lashed out with his own right foot, aiming a kick at Fox's left shin while he stood on one leg.

If not, then well, Fox was stuck in that predicament where he had to deal with Gailes all half sitting half leaning back again.

19Show me the CarFox

Well, not much to feign now.

Fox was going to motion the kick, but seeing as how Gailes fell, just like earlier, he only rose the knee a tad bit, and he wasn't even that close to Gailes yet. The right fist was cocked back though. But that didn't matter anymore.

Quick change of plans. Fox stood inches away, where Gaile's feet couldn't reach. Fox put both fists on his hips.

''Hmph...'' Fox sighed, with a plain face.

Later turning his back towards Gailes, faking disinterest. Fox would hope Gailes fell into it, making Gailes feel slightly confused.

When SUDDENLY, the fancy part.

Fox would turn again, this time facing forward, but he wasted no time. He immediately short-dashed and launched himself over Gailes:

''Aeh!"

Cartwheel Pass.

It wasn't even that much of a risky move, but it was an effective and surprising pass. Plus the fight is just seconds away from ending.

If Fox succesfully landed over Gailes head, without Gailes making any sort of twist and turn, he would soccer kick Gailes head. If Gailes turned all the way -like the gif-, then... not.

Whatever.

9/10

20Kraun

9

Why was he wasting time? Fox should have attacked, and kept on attacking. As long as you keep putting the pressure on someone, they wouldnt be given time to think and plan. They'd be forced to defend themselves over and over again.

And that is why Gailes already had several following actions planned out as he made the initial ones, depending on the situation. It also helped that if he kept attacking, then he was given time to think up following plans, since the one on the defense is usually stuck defending while those who are attacking can keep pressing an opponent.

Hence, Gailes did not simply wait around. He didnt have time. Taking the initiative and asserting oneself is always important.

When Fox turned around, Gailes pushed himself forward, closing the distance which was only a few inches where he originally could not have attacked. Gailes didnt feel confused at all, 'cause this was definately an opening. What he was going to do was kick at the back of Fox's legs to make him fall down. His legs lifted off the ground and bent up against his gut, sort of like cocking them back in order to push them out.

BUT THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, Fox flipped over him.

Not much to do about it but try to follow him. However, he had already pulled his legs up, knees against his chest and all that, so it was hard to turn his body around without the help of his legs and only having to rely on his hands.

So no, he didnt turn his body around.

Instead, he just had to improvise. He lifted his hands off the ground and brought them both up to the sides of his head as he swung his weight back into a roll, his legs having already pulled back towards his body. And then back some more until he rolled onto his shoulders.

And that is where he made his counterattack.

Pushing up on his shoulders, using his hands for balance agaisnt the ground, he straightened his body and pumped out his legs into a vertical springing motion, his body upside down, both feet together aimed to strike from right underneath of Fox, right under the jaw as he exited the cartwheel.

Of course, Fox would probably see it coming, y'know, with the cartwheel motion where he would be able to see Gailes body all coiled up like a spring ready to explode. But hey, it couldnt hurt to try. Well actually, it probably would hurt, since Fox could probably just lean back and shove a foot in his face while he was doing a handstand at the end of the kicking motion.

21Show me the CarFox

Fox saw Gailes body coiling itself up, but not turning. Fox didn't know what Gailes was up to, so he still threw that soccer kick. However, Gailes threw an attack of his own. The attack was like... a mule kick or something, if thats what you wanna call it.

((I understand the attack, though.))

Since Fox threw a right kick, his body had sort of turned counter clock, so his face/head was a little tucked and the arms were kinda in the way from Gailes angle. He merely got smacked on the right side of his face as he landed his own kick. Instincts and reflexes told Fox to turn the face to brush it off, but it was a little late, having committed to a kick. Still, he did it anyways/

So, how would all this end?

Fox landed his kicked, Gailes landed his. Fox would eventually step away, with a green plastered on his face.

''Hehehe, that was nice a Up-Kick, there.

--Good fight, anyhow.''

10/10

22Kraun

10

And that is why it did hurt to try.

'Cause He was in no position to defend himself, the best he could do was turn his head a bit to take the hit on the side of his face rather than get his nose smashed by a foot to the front of his face. His eyes watered from the blow to his cheek, crushing the nerve clusters which provided the sense of pain as his head snapped back.

And it also didnt help that he was upside down, so the kick would knock him off balance, tilt his body, and give him a nice crash landing onto his stomach.

He lay there for a second or two without moving like, 'ouch', only y'know, he wasnt a robot, so it didnt sound so monotone as if it was text.

And then he got up, rubbing his cheek, which he seems to keep taking damage on. It would start to bruise, swelling already.

"Yeah, good fight." He agreed. Hey, it was just a sport. Sort of.
