Stage9: Brown Estate

Interior

I kindly invite you into my home and you don't even have the courtesy to wreck up the place? What kind of parties do you think I throw? Lame ones?

The mansion interior is is relatively open to the fighters. Bedrooms, bathrooms, the TV room and the main foyer are all open to the fighters. However the kitchen and any other speciality rooms are blocked off. The one notable feature is a large fireplace centred sitting area in the foyer, as the fire is blazing right now. The main entrance leads to the gardens. Multiple stairwells lead to the cellar, as well as a secret pole in the master bedroom. The master bedroom contains an entrance to the rooftop balcony, however most windows on the second floor lead onto the roof.

Terrain

General - Hardwood floors, unattached carpets in places. Enclosed area, but connected to the roof, gardens and cellar.

Weapons - Household stuff throughout. A large TV in the respective room, leather couches in the foyer.

Bonus Effects - Ring out rules have been suspended, free travel is allowed between the four brown estate threads. However, if you do not link your exit and entrance posts together (that is a link in each), you will be red carded.

White cards will be let free for intentional interference with other fights.

2Designated Hero

"This seems familiar."

Athan Cole, ever the ambitious one, was the first on the scene inside of the Brown Estate. The lack of a crowd was a little disappointing, but at least they weren't going to get in the way of things.

Athan's armor had been forsaken for some more flexible gear, leaving the swordsman with his two swords as his sole equipment. Even his Berserker's Gauntlet had been forsaken, probably out of respect for his left hand, which had been broken pretty badly during the previous round. The hand didn't look too worse for the wear after a good few days' rest and medical treatment.

The familiarity was bred from Athan's previous experience in the Von Helson Manor Foyer. Sure, they had the entire estate for their arena now, but the initial impression was almost unmistakable.

"Wonder how much they had to pay this poor guy. No way he was dumb enough to just volunteer."

He slipped both of his swords off of his shoulders, propped the weapons up against a wall, and went about touring the estate. No point in standing around picking his nose, maybe there was something awesome to hit people with stashed away in the place.

Ho dee hum.

3Lucid Red Herring

”Mmgyood day, sir.”

A snoot voice would greet the rather large man, Athan Cole, as he seemed to make himself comfortable by removing his weaponry. And there before him stood a tall, dark man dressed in a black tuxedo with a… wig? Yes, he was wearing a wig that looked like the afro of an old black man. The man stroked his fake, old beard as he quietly observed the big fighter beginning to browse the mansion.

I wonder what the hell is in his diet? Pork in the morning… Ostrich for lunch, and 3 cows for dinner? And I mean the whole damn animal, because this guy’s got enough bulk to be a Football linebacker and then some.

Lucid quirked an eyebrow as he continued to stroke his fake beard. Athan would see nothing more than an old man with a hunch in his back. Lazily staring at him with his golden eyes. A neatly pressed black tuxedo. Shiny paten-leather shoes. A wild looking afro with grey streaks. A scruffy mustache and a nice shag of a beard. Lucid would somewhat drag his feet like an old man as he approached the large fighter.

”Welcome to the Von Helson Manor, good sir. You must be here for the grand festival hosted by the master today. My name is Watson Herbusch and I am the active butler on duty today, sir. I’ve been hired specifically for this event to assist any and all contestants with their needs. Is there anything I may help you with as our event is about to begin?”

So you may be wondering where I jacked this flashy tux, this stylish wig, some make up, and facial hair? The answer to your question is shaddup. I decided to take a little last minute trip to a party store and H&R. Wesley before the match. Not a long run… you can cover any distance when you own a friggin race car. Anyway, I decided to doll myself up and have some roleplaying fun before the mayhem began. A little Halloween make up and some spirit gum and BAM! Instant old man get up. Hell, I could pass for a modern day Frederick Douglass. Really, I was interested in what type of people we’d be fighting today and so you might call this something of a recon mission. I just gotta make sure that I…

Oh no… I’m already feeling like I’m gonna do something stupid… I better smother this up with a cough…

CouFagHough

“…Ahem…”

“Excuse me, sir. I think I might be coming down with a cold with this winter weather we’ve been having lately. I have a pot of hot tea on the stove. Would you care to partake?”

HeH, me catch a cold. Sometimes I slay me…

4Psychofish

"Hoe-leeeee, royal, mother. Of. ."

As if to give the necessary yang to the mannered yin of the "butler" there was a single coarse, sharp voice with just the slight air of slur someone who'd had one too many or else just woken up.

A single gloved hand raised over the back of one of the lounge chairs, and a moment later a mop of completely disheveled brown hair crept over the line of it's back. The hand rubbed at the hair gently, somehow managing to make worse of the mess before the head finally propped itself up high enough to take a look over the back of the fancy master lounge chair at them.

Judging by the slightly bloodshot red eyes straining as if the room was too bright, and the unlabeled bottle that crept up to meet the head a moment later, maybe it wasn't so much a case of "either or".

In the master armchair, pulled close to the fire, back turned on the rest of the room in favor of the warmth, was Kael, Mythos' captain, in all his glory and regality.

With a series of more grumbles, somewhere in there the word "senile" managing to crop up more than once, the man adjusted himself and sat up right, until his head could peer over the back of the chair, leg thrown over one arm, and un-stoppered bottle hanging by the neck between two fingers on the opposite side. Not like Athan or their guest had much of a good look at him from where they were, what with the big fancy back of the, surprisingly very comfy, chair in the way, but the rest of Kael at least wasn't as completely miserable as his head gave off. The gauntlets, now plain for what they were, were firmly attached just right, as always, as was the armored boot hanging over one arm of the chair. His cloak, slightly worn and with rather terribly frayed ends, was being untangled from it's role as makeshift blanket, beneath which he'd worn his breastplate clearly for all to see, gorget not quite high enough to show over the chair. The clothes beneath it all, and the series of thick, carefully placed and tightened leather straps about his waist securing his knives, pouch, and short sword, may have been called a touch dressy even if they hadn't been rumbled as all hell and covered with the archaic battle get up.

"Y'er in the wrong mansion, pops," he called over to them before sinking into a mumbled "Not'e g'ddum mood f'r 'll th' fancy'n verbose. s**t-"

Oh yes, he was a sight to behold as he raised the bottle, unknowingly provided courtesy of the estate's owner the prestigious- or at least booze-loving- Joseph Brown, and turned bottoms up again. It was clear, at least, that he was being responsibly moderate about how much he took in each chug by the still very respectable level of fluid left in the container.

He wished he could have had more. Oh he wished.

Kael had a headache. The royal sort, before he'd been asleep, but now it was just the grogginess, and he was hoping the headache wouldn't come back with it afterwards. He'd had trouble laying sleeping down the night before, with his ribs still hurting like hell in their stages of recovery. He'd had to skip on the painkillers with the match coming up, which wasn't the greatest feeling in the world... and only got worse when the pain was enough to keep him from getting much of any sleep laying on his back.

As it turned out, sleeping sitting up worked out much nicer after a couple shots of the good stuff.

"Really interesting drinks are in the basement, big guy. An' it's warm over here. Tell ya', lucky b*****d to live like this every day. All i' needs..."

Right out ignore the proclaimed servant type now, like just that, Kael's empty hand reached over to the small table sitting on the side of his free hand, straining to reach without shifting from his comfortable state, past his sheethed b*****d sword, and to a little black box. Not quite- ah, there, now just- several quick spins, and a tiny noise of nothing grew to a decent level of music from the tiny little earphones.

And of all things, Kael was in a mood for the oldies.

[[Fleetwood Mac - Say You Love Me]](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-maqOZWmug&fmt=18)

"There. Perfect-o."

5Lucind Varhetel

Until the moment she stepped around a large cabinet, an open book in her hands, Lucind hadn't made her presence known.

"Now, now...I'd say a wine like this, one of the finest you'll find in this country, deserves a bit more...respect."

Thud

The book - a thesis about the behavioral abnormities of high elves after receiving a diet diametrical to their normal one...which included a lot of chocolate covered bacon and marinated dust bunnie liver -...that book, was closed in a motion full of verve. The Siren sported a full-fledged smile, half challenging, half mischievous, while making her way over to Kael.

He was listening to music, but that didn't stopped her voice from reaching his ears.

"You're looking like..."

Amber eyes examined the team captain.

"...your injuries have healed up a good deal."

Casually leaning against the backrest for a moment, Lucind nodded at the seemingly old man - his voice told her something else, then grinned at Athan.

At this fine day, the female member of Team Mythos looked rather sparsely dressed: from her complete fighting outfit, she was only wearing choker, corset, gloves, hot pants - no loin cloth - belt (yay for Dante making nearly every part detachable) and boots.

For her taste, it was way too warm in this mansion - especially with the nasty fire right over there. Thus, after waiting for some reaction coming from Kael, the Siren would stroll back over to the cabinet, hoping to find other interesting books like the one in her hands.

6Designated Hero

Athan hadn't exactly planned to run into any hired help inside of the Brown Estate, particularly considering how wild and out of control Heaven or Hell fights tended to be. Especially so, considering there were four of them taking place in the same estate. Still, the tournament founders had a way of throwing wrenches into fights, so for all Athan knew this guy was legit.

It didn't help that he hadn't really bothered to follow Team Save-A-Ho, so he didn't even know who made up their roster. All he knew was that there was supposed to be a fight soon, and so far the only strange face he had seen was a humpbacked, club-footed servant with some poorly-kept facial hair.

Athan met the servant's greeting with a blank stare.

"You uhh...you do know there's gonna be a fight here, right? You sure you weren't hired to just clean up the mess or something?"

"CouFagHough"

Athan raised an eyebrow, then took a single step backwards into the hallway, either to avoid the cough or because the "butler" was creeping him the hell out.

"Look, I don't need a cup of tea or anything. I'm just gonna-"

And then Kael walked on past, carrying a bottle of some sort of alcoholic beverage and suggesting that Athan go and do the same. If anything, at least Athan's suspicions were put on hold as Kael walked on past. He turned his head completely away from the creepy-assed servant and focused on Kael.

"Hey, you sure you should be drinking that stuff with all the meds you're supposed to be taking?"

7Lucid Red Herring

Old man Lucid quirked an eyebrow as an outburst of curse words placed with emphasis erupted in sound waves from the near by lounge. Particularly a very comfortable looking chair.

Master chair perhaps?

His golden orbs glared over to the gloved hand followed by a rugged looking barbarian dressed as if he were about to fight a pirate war. A mischievous smirk outlined Lucid’s full lips. The old man butler would prompt his hands behind his back as he began to wander towards the chair. However, he kept his distance from the drunken-like man and the chair both on full alert and not to startle the gentleman.

"Y'er in the wrong mansion, pops," he called over to them before sinking into a mumbled "Not'e g'ddum mood f'r 'll th' fancy'n verbose. s**t-"

”OHoHoHo, yes yes. Jolly good, sir…”

Damn can I put on an accent. The b***d went on about something related to more booze and liquor in the house. Hell, I could use a drink right now, because when I laid eyes on the man I saw knives, a sword, and a hell of a lot of pain. And people wanna b*h about my ice powers. Hell, everyone had a damn weapon. What’s a man to do? Well, I decided to make things interesting. Once again, I was the only person of my team here. The hell if I knew what the Colonel was up to these days. And Urarah… I don’t know what’s been on his mind. I needed to get this party going and fast, and it was best I did it before more of their members showed up, or started paying more attention.

The woman whom nodded to me was into some books. Of course, to keep up the disguise, I nodded back. I was waiting for one of them to slip, and it happened the moment that this man, Kael, took his attention off of me.

"You uhh...you do know there's gonna be a fight here, right? You sure you weren't hired to just clean up the mess or something?"

”Why yes, ofcourse. That’s exactly my job, sir. I’m also here to prevent damage to some of Master Brown’s most prized possessions as well.”

Kael began reaching off to the table for a black box. And right when his fingers made it to the box, Lucid had a vase in his hands. More precise, a rather large vase which at first would look as if the old man was cradling it like a baby. Nah, he was gaining leverage, aiming to catch Kael off guard before the distracted man could think to reach for his b*****d sword.

KEERAAASH!

The sound of the vase hopefully being obliterated on the base of Kael’s skull. Lucid didn’t chuck the thing. With his left foot forward, he held a firm grip aiming to slam the damn thing into Kael’s face with all of his might. But, if Lucid missed well the vase would explode on the floor or something. And immediately following up the vase, Lucid’s right leg launched out for a powerful side kick aimed to plow its way into Kael’s face, or chest depending, and send him as well as his comfy chair over to his backside.

”I hope you don’t mind, good sir. But, I’m supposed to take out the trash before the party begins. Do you wish to be burned or compacted?”

"HEY!"

Athan wasn't expecting that. He had been anticipating the butler to pick up the vase and carry it somewhere where it wouldn't be harmed. Instead, the guy had just up and smashed it over Kael's head. Seemed Athan was still a bit on the oblivious side, because he didn't know that the butler was the competition. His left hand reached out to grab the butler by the shoulder, until he caught a quick glimpse of his FIGHTER.

A round timer was counting down, and so it seemed that this guy was, in fact, part of team Save-A-Ho. His hand quickly pulled back, and Athan resigned himself to backing off, pressing himself up against a wall and crossing his arms over his chest.

Kael was in bad shape coming into the match, off of pain killers, and probably drunk. This wasn't an ideal situation, but there were rules that had to be followed, and Athan still had trust in Kael, no matter what sort of condition he was in.

9Apocalyptic Pilot

Brendyn had been sitting on a couch in the foyer when the action started. His cloak was hung up by the main door, and he was dressed in his usual attire: modified formal shoes, dress slacks, and a button-down silk shirt, as well as his sheath and katar. There was one element of his outfit that was different, though; instead of his metal mask, he was wearing a black silk one that covered his nose and below. Brendyn's hands were behind his head and he gave every indication of feeling quite at home there. In fact, this place did remind him of home, and he was quite comfortable and rather disappointed that he'd probably have to get up soon. It would be a shame to see the mansion get torn up, as its owner obviously had some class and taste. Brendyn had gotten a good look at all of the areas of the house interior accessible to the fighters, admiring the scenery. Someday, he would own a place like this.

And he sure as hell wouldn't let a bunch of uncouth brawlers disrespect it.

10Supreme Jerk Commander

Dash was late.

The man entered the mansion. Having been tied up with other, more pressing matters; he arrived on the field sometime after the opposing team. The anger of events most recent still flowed through his veins, filling him with vigor and fury. May the lord help his poor opponent.

He walked up the stairwell, his hands placed firmly into the pockets of his red jumpsuit. He wore black leather boots on his feet and a windbreaker upon his torso. A slight, rectangular impression in the small of his back could be seen by perceptive individuals. Slung around his right shoulder was his now infamous ANGRY SHIELD. After two rounds of ownage, the 15lb, 2 feet wide, (at its widest point) 3 feet long construction of ceramic plating was scuffed, dented, and looking pissed off as ever. The huge red mean-face glared out thirstily in search of its new victim. What stood out most about the man was his hair. It was bright, blond, and spiked straight up. The guy looked like a black Goku or something. There was indeed an interesting story behind his outrageous style, but that’s a tale for another time.

This was business.

He paid no mind to those already in the mansion. They weren’t his concern. His FIGHTER had told him his fight was going down on the roof above.

Well, he didn’t know about the roof, but the fight was definitely going down. He climbed up a ladder into the attic. Being late, he saw the sleigh resting on the rooftop and the positions of his opponents. So, with a quick glance out one of the windows, Dash formulated a rough guesstimation as to his relative location beneath his opponents. That, and the creaking and thumping coming from the movement also aided him.

Not that it matted though.

Dash clinched his right fist and his emerald colored aura exploded about him. Thick fronds of bright energy swirled up his legs and congregated around his fist. His muscles tensed, the ground beneath his feet trembled, and age old dust and debris retreated away from him.

He wasn’t going to miss.

11Supreme Jerk Commander

Savoki Sanoci Wrote:

With a face full of insanity, the sadist priest sprang forwards on what little ground was left, letting the sleigh he had been standing next to fall down behind him. Dash probably wouldn't expect a face full of that. Hyped up at getting a fight, Darious released himself from the edge and dropped down into the interior. Expressing himself in the foul way that he did.

12Psychofish

((Sorry, took me way too long to get around to this.))

Kael really wasn't minding the man so much. He was suspicious as hell- if he was crazy it was an interesting sort, going on about the Helson Manor one moment and Brown's estate the next, but he could care less. Despite coming prepared he was more interested in literally sitting this one out if his team didn't seem to need him. The guy would either continue being his weird self, or try and pull off a dramatic revelation of his identity, no doubt expecting people to care, or at least know, who he was. That was fine. But if Kael was going to be feeling ten kinds of sore and aching and awake, he was going to want his tunes. That wasn't so much to ask, was it? He reached right over, not a care in the world and tapped on his Gpod to the classic rock and-

-Crash!-

The last thing he heard before an explosion of pain and stars was the suddenly horribly inappropriate sounds of Fleetwood Mac opening.

His body jerked taught and pulled his head forward and down, recoiling toward the chair, arms drawing up instinctively to cover cover his face- not even because that's where the hit was. Instinct was what it was, and he was covering the front and sides of his head because that's where arms naturally went. The mind reacted half a second later than the body, processing the hit and telling him to-

His eyes opened.

Incoming heel at twelve o'clock.

Now, standing in front of the chair didn't make much sense, considering it was pulled up close to the fire, and wandering right up in front of him cradling the vase would have been equivocal to blocking his way down an alley and reaching menacingly inside his coat. Well. Not quite the same, but it was no way to get anything resembling surprise. He wouldn't have had much trouble getting by Kael's side though, making his leaning his head out a real nice opportunity to pop the vase in his face. Followed by the kick, which, delivered could put Kael on his back at least, with all the lounging about funny. For the chair, well...

The foot slammed into his armored forearms and shoved back, body absorbing the force and tipping sideways-backwards into the arm of the chair. It rocked, and tumbled onto its side, ejecting Kael out onto the floor in the opposite direction of his sword. Moonshine sloshed out on the poor, expensive rug and his cloak, tossed out under him, while Kael caught himself still holding onto the bottle and guarding tight.

Hell, I'm getting-

The bottle righted itself as his arm moved to brace his weight, the other grasping and tugging on the clip of his cloak while his legs kicked up- as if to ward Setto from advancing, though he probably wasn't too likely to be standing atop the chair coming after him- and snapping to the side, rolling his body quickly over stomach down and right back up onto his feet again, stumbling and spinning backwards and away from Setto.

"-real sick of this s**t, real fast."

His guard lowered to his chin, revealing his face while he took one unsteady step backward at a time, until his back touched warm, solid wall and he stopped with a wince. That meant he was right up next to the fireplace, which made retreating more pretty damn hard if this guy kept coming after him crazy. Worse, he'd been too preoccupied to cry out when he was scrambling to his feet so he could defend himself somewhat, but the whole little roll had earned quite a bit of protest from his ribs. That hurt even more than his head.

Lucid was bigger than Kael, but if anything the swordsman looked anything but intimidated. His face, now that everyone would have a good look at it, was tightened in frustration, stretching his scars, and exaggerating the cuts and scrapes from the vase as little streams of red started running down all over the right side.

"I swear. Every round. Cheapshots."

Oh, he sounded mad, and he was getting more worked up as he went. Kael had quite the temper, when he lost it. That wasn't often. But today his head hurt, his side hurt, he was tired, and Lucid had just really gone and woken him up.

"You ******** chicken shits must be right pissing yourselves."

It'd happened the year before too, once or twice. But this year, first the nutshot, then the sucker punch. In the prelims he'd been vomited on, but he wasn't really sure if that counted or not. It was a straight up, face-to-face tournament. He didn't really count on honor, or respect, or anything, but was it too much to ask for people to be just a little straightforward? Just enough to keep some dignity about the business? He jerked violently on the cloak, clip falling to the ground while he jerked on what was essentially just a long cloth draped over him until it felt straighter.

"Do you REALLY want to do this!?"

All he wanted was to nap and drink a little until he could go back to the hotel and resume his regularly scheduled dosage of pain-killers. Just wasn't his day, again.

The red sleigh began crashing down from the rooftop. Dash would find he was wrong in judging where Darious landed. Instead of landing in front of the sleigh Darious landed inside it, standing up. Elevating himself against Dash, this would be a promising position to escape a destructive shield bash. A backup plan was always good to have, staying vigilant so his blunder wouldn't cost him dearly. Safely avoiding a hazardous offense, he took his time as he sakari energy slowly surged through his devious veins.

His anger turned to excitement, realizing this opponent was going to entertain him better than the coward from round one. Escaping his transportation, Dash would see his adversary moving away from that deathtrap. Sensing a brutal collision to come, Darious figure he would take advantage of every moment in this round. Licking his lips in a sadistic manner, he intended to ******** with his mind. Displaying no fighting position, he gave the impression that he just wanted to start the brawl.

“Nice greeting I must say, hopefully that assault won't be all you're made of. I guess this is the time I shut the ******** up and show you how frightening I really can be. Now Lets Play, Shall We!"

[2/17]

14Supreme Jerk Commander

Dash jumped onto the sleigh as well in hopes to catch his opponent before he could step out. The effort was in vain as his foe proved slippery. His aura dissipated, its manifestation was no longer needed. Had Darious fought Dash a couple of rounds earlier, his attempt at a verbal exchange would have been met with a witty retort. But things change.

His beloved automobile was destroyed, his room devastated, and his hair… well, everyone could see that for themselves. Darious’s excitement was met with rage. Dash felt the unholy energies emanating from the man, and it intrigued him. Deep down, he wondered if this guy truly was strong enough to face his full fury.

Not that it mattered. This guy was going to have to fight on his level, whether he was able to or not. Dash had seen the tournament brackets, he’d seen his goal, and he knew what he had to do. If he wanted to face the scrubs responsible for all his anguish, he’d have to buckle down and plow through the competition.

As for this guy…

Savoki Sanoci Wrote:

“Nice greeting I must say, hopefully that assault won't be all you're made of. I guess this is the time I shut the ******** up-"

He was in the way.

Dash abruptly interrupted Darious’s speech by hopping off the sleigh and onto the floor before him. Again he charged, shield leading as he attempted to perform a vicious shoulder check to force Darious back into the wall, dangerously close to the window.

[3]

15Savoki Sanoci

This opponent sure was ferocious and straight forward compare to earlier within the tournament. This wasn't the first time someone attempted to take an opening while he spoke, but luckily multitasking was something he was use to. Although he charged during that speech, Darious wasn't an idiot either. Just as he was closing the distance, he did a daring roll to the left. Luckily with such momentum, he was going to have fun watching him crash and burn with the charge.

Smiling like a lunatic, excessive laughter was drawn from his lips. No longer furious, he would decide it was time to have a promising brawl with this individual. Drawing a satanic cross from one side of his belt holster, when he positioned himself behind the foe, Darious launched it like a shinobi in a shuriken star fashion. He was going to wing it, having all 4 blades move like a saw towards the left shoulder holding the shield. The Current mission would be disarming him before confronting him. Addressing him, he continued to chuckle to see how mad he could get since he couldn't immediately stop his offense.

16Supreme Jerk Commander

Dash stepped past his opponent. Lacking a collision, he planted his left leg in front to halt his advance. He wasn’t The Juggernaut, so he could very easily stop himself. However; given his current positioning, there was nothing he could do to stop Darious from tossing the crosses.

As weapons were thrown, Dash was already beginning the motion of his counter.

THUK

A burning pain spread quickly throughout the man’s body as the cross sank into flesh. The demon scored first blood, but he’d pay for it and dearly.

Dash rotated his body counter-clockwise, bringing the shield around in a massive backswing to side of Darious’s head. If connected, he’d follow through with the motion and end up facing his foe.

Of course he could no longer comfortably support his weapon with the spikes sticking out of his damned back/shoulder blade area. He’d simply let the shield slide of his arm and land to the ground between them face-up. His eyes narrowed. Now people were throwing knives at him?

This tournament was progressively growing more dangerous with every round that passed.

17Lucid Red Herring

Lucid retracted his right foot as Kael went over, realizing his boot came in contact wit forearm and not face.

No matter. See, I had nothing really against Kael. Maybe it was the knives and that sword that intimidated me. Or, maybe I really thought he was drunk. Either way, something made me want to re-arrange the scars on his face and leave my mark.

Sounds kinda gay, don’t it?

I expected Athan to interfere somehow, honestly. In fact, it would have been something I would do, had it been the Colonel or Uarah in that situation. But, maybe that’s why I haggled back a second instead of pursuing Kael as he went to the floor. But, when he was rolling over, I noticed something…

"-real sick of this s**t, real fast."

”My energy bar isn’t showing up…”

Lucid glanced up into the air, over his head as he snatched the wig off his head. The iced tips of his dreadlocks fell upon his shoulders while his right hand whipped the wig away. And as Kael backed himself towards the fireplace, Lucid snatched that b*****d sword from the ground and chucked it across the room. The thing slammed into a framed picture and shattered the glass, knocking the whole thing off the wall somewhere across the foyer of the interior.

That was one less sharp object to worry about. Now, I could sit here and attempt to brawl with this guy, but considering my track record people loved to whip out a weapon on me at some point in time and tear my pretty skin all up. I wasn’t looking to give Kael that opportunity with that sword this round. The knives will be another problem, though…

"I swear. Every round. Cheapshots."

”And where the hell is my energy meter? Where’s the Ready, Fight!?”

"You ******** chicken shits must be right pissing yourselves."

”…Any day now, that energy bar can show up… Aaaanyday…”

Lucid took a stance.

The clip of Kael’s cloak fell to the ground as the man fiddled with it. A smile of glee came to Lucid’s face. His stance wasn’t nothing major, a simple boxer’s stance with his weight centered on the balls of his feet. An energy bar appeared over his head. The sound of Megaman’s life energy filling would be heard throughout the room as the bar would read at 190% (due to energy gain from opening attack). Now, he was ready.

"Do you REALLY want to do this!?"

”Oh, Yay! It’s working properly… Now the world can keep spinning!”

Lucid came in. With Kael in the corner, he was planning to trap him like a rat. And with that, Lucid stepped in and delivered. With his left leg as the lead, two swift, what looked like punches, came at Kael. The first strike was an open hand, his left hand lashing outwards to slap (not jab) Kael in the right ear. And if this wasn’t enough to piss the man off further than he might have been, the second strike was a cross with the knuckles of his right hand lashing to the bridge of Kael’s nose. Lucid didn’t bother to hold back. He put a lot of emphasis in his delivery.

Somehow in the mist of all the fray, his presence had gone unnoticed, and that was fine with him since he was late. Somewhere near the entrance there was a bile of snow gear littered about and there was Urarha dressed only in a superman t-shirt, converse sneakers and sweat pants. Red tinted shades hide his light grays from view, hands covered with his modernized gauntlets. as he moved into the Foyer. He had arrived in time to see Lucid smash a Vase on top of the head of what would be his competition... and one of the guys reached for him.

That was Urarha's cue.

He'd sorta noticed something, besides having enough time to start breathing, starting thinking again.

"..."

The fact that this guy hadn't rushed him. That, and-

"...the hell are you going on-?"

Oh, hey, he was actually starting to do things now. Kael had no idea what the hell he had been going on about, he'd missed half of it getting all pissed off at his ill luck, and the other guy being off in some other world talking to himself sorta... well... if he hadn't started coming right at him he probably would have just stared blankly and felt stupid for a while.

With a snort, Kael took one step forward to match the wierdo's charge, giving one last good tug at the cloak over his back-

With a sharp twist and snap, he whipped the cloak through the flame of the live fireplace behind him, and just like that the ragged and horribly frayed ends of what was effectively a thick sheet caught flame, and then continued to snap around and forward. Leaning hard to his left and ducking into it, Kael "dodged" not Lucid's attack, but just his forward motion as a whole, slinging the cloak off of his own shoulders and over the larger man's head.

It wasn't wrapped around him- Kael wasn't pulling Indiana Jones tricks with it- but rather he just cared that it was draped over him, blocking his sight and tangling him up minorly for a moment. The thing wasn't up in an inferno either- no, it'd been skirting the flames with him right there, but only the end of it, where the fabric was torn up, more susceptible, and directly exposed to the flames was lit.

Was.

With a violent wave of his other arm to follow up the side-step-lunge-thingy and cloak-throw combination, much alike the sort of overblown motion of someone in this loony bin tournament casting a spell, he slung as much of the remaining contents of the bottle of moonshine over the cloak as he could manage in a single motion. Highly flammable liquid on an already burning fabric that wasn't resistant to fire at all.

That was when things were gonna "heat up".

In his mind, that was the part where he deftly stepped around the guy, and said something catchy before delivering a brutal kick to wherever he pleased, as the other man tried to desperately remove a flaming cloak he was wearing like the poor kid who had to be the ghost on Halloween. That was how it was supposed to go in his head. Instead, this was the part where the twist of his body following the lunge caused a sharp pain to shoot up his side and he stumbled further in the direction he'd been moving.

"-ggghk."

Oh. That's not gonna make things fun at all.

Still, assuming he'd gotten the cloak over him and set it up as planned, that was more a distraction, maybe some burns, for the seconds it took the guy to remove it. Unless Kael forced him to wear it a while longer or capitalized on the opening, it was fairly wasted. Which left him one choice.

A single step back in.

A single twist of his body.

A single rising fist.

An left uppercut into the flaming fabric at the location Lucid's head appeared to be, uncaring exactly what part of it he hit so much as that he slammed it good. He was only thinking about giving the guy a good pop in the ribs to follow it up, though not nearly as brutal as his strength and the knuckled gauntlets should have allowed due to his right side's injury, rendering it for once less powerful than his still-formidable left. Kael didn't really have much fancy to do to follow that up. Someplace, some time hours from then, when the footage was out and someone with TiVo would open it all up on their computer and add to the scene their own, rather unsubtle, contribution.

"SHINRYUKEN!"

...and if the whole cloak thing didn't stay on long enough for that or Lucid got away from the blind-siding uppercut, instead of the second homage to the gamer fans watching the fight, after Lucid's complaints, Kael would just try and stumble around furniture to buy himself a little more space and time, and keep the flaming cloak from ending up on him.

[2/17]

20Lucid Red Herring

When one places all their effort into something, they place all their effort into something. So, when Kael moved to throw his cloak over Lucid, well lets just say the lunatic didn’t handle it well.

”Hey, who turned out the lights!”

“Help!”

“Mommy!”

The cloak went over his face and prevented Lucid from delivering an accurate attack. Rather, he simply evaded it. Not that his evasion wasn’t fruitless. The man managed to disrtact Lucid a great deal. Even Lucid, himself, didn’t know how good a distraction yet.

Yet…

”Hey, something’s burning… It smells like some kid set a hobo on fire and…”

”Oh crap! It’s the cloak!”

Now it was fortunate Kael hadn’t made an effort to actually wrap the cloak around Lucid. Just draping him was enough to save Lucid from absolute panic and sheer pain. Because there was one thing the man hated more than anything else in the world, and that was to be hot or exposed to heat. Lucid’s open handed left was enough to keep the damn thing from completely blinding him, but he couldn’t exactly see where Kael moved to with part of the cloth wrapped around his face. So, Lucid stumbled like a dumbass into Kael’s direction, or the direction he at least thought Kael went. All the while, flailing his left hand to untangle the cloak as Lucid began to realize the ends of the thing were on fire. That was the one thing he was most afraid of, being burned.

Then Kael did something very, very familiar to Lucid. In fact, Lucid was practically thankful he performed a striker similar to this the first round of the tournament. The moonshine hit the cloak and the thing went a blazing.

”Aaah! No! No! @%$# me… Noo!”

“GetItOffGetItOffGetItOffGetItOff!”

Get ready. He’s gotta be looking to take advantage of this situation by now.

Now, Lucid put on a hell of a good show flailing his left arm as he used his right to struggle with the cloak. In fact…

,+(Hold)

Lucid even coated his hands with ice to deal with the roaring flames of the moonshine covered cloak. Though Kael wouldn’t see this immediately, the ice had already begun to react with the intense heat of the flames, creating steam upon the cloak and Lucid’s forearms as the opposing forces of energy began to work against one another.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. How did he instantly create ice on his hands to deal with the flames? The answer to your question is shaddup. Your pal, Ol’ Lucy suffered some burns to he hands in the process of swapping into my ice mode. So, lets just say I’m gonna hate using them for a good while. It’s like that kid who was stupid enough to not just touch the stove, but actually place their whole damn hand on it before realizing the thing was hot. Oh yeah, I’m gonna have blisters in the morning. But, once I free myself from this damn thing…

He thought when finally managing to lay eyes on Kael.

I’m gonna…

Thwaak!

That left fist of Kael’s slammed into Lucid’s jaw. Oh yeah did he slug Lucid good. Lucid was flung back and it looked as if he were about to fall flat on his a**. Then, he did some weird stuff with that flaming cloak in his hands. Lucid’s right hand got a firm hold of the cloak and stretched a small part of it. It was undetermined if Kael noticed it yet, that despite he had his right eye closed to deal with the pain, and was grinding his teeth so hard he could shatter the pearly whites in his jaw, Lucid’s left eye was monitoring him hard. Wait for it…

Kael’s right came right behind, a follow up strike. Right into the burning cloak. To be more accurate, when Lucid’s body flung back from the damage of Kael’s left upper, he caught and stabilized himself with his right foot. Hell, his right shoe practically slid the fancy rug out of place as Lucid threw his weight on it. And then waiting for that follow up strike, Lucid reacted as quick as his arms would allow him to wrap that cloak around Kael’s right fist, flames and all. Now, it wasn’t that Kael completely missed that second upper to the ribs. It rubbed against Lucid’s right abdomen as if Kael was attempting to get a stain out of Lucid’s tuxedo while he was still wearing it. But, Lucid jerked the incoming fist off to the right side with the flaming cloak as Kael came in. Not just that, Lucid aimed to jerk the man completely off his footing when he delivered that strike, exposing his right oblique and ribs.

”Smokey the bear says…”

Lucid shifted his weight into his left leg and took off forward as he practically jerked Kael’s exposed right side towards him. And in an explosive force, Lucid’s right knee came up in a powerful strike to obliterate that hurting right side of Kael. Not that Lucid knew it was hurting, but it was there and the easiest target to attack.

”Only you can prevent your right arm from catching fire!”

Lucid didn’t let go of the flaming cloak or the poor man’s arm. Hell, those flames were about to burn the both of them, only Lucid had a little extra shielding to prevent himself from being damaged as much as Kael thanks to the melting ice on his hands. But, that didn’t mean Lucid could keep this charade up for too long. So, his right leg came right back down after the strike. Who knew what this man would do next.

Wha-?!

There was a foreign hand on his shoulder, and Athan immediately whipped his head around to find out who it belonged. He never got much of a chance, because before he got a good look at the guy there was a fist ramming straight into the base of his spine.

"-HRNK!"

Now, Athan weighed a lot. That much had been established for quite some time, so a punch that was able to lift him up off his feet was bound to pack quite a bit of oomph. In fact, Athan was so surprised by this that he had no idea of how to brace himself for a landing. He hit shoulder-first onto the ground, his head snapping backwards with a resounding thud, the impact alone probably giving the participants in the Wine Cellar the impression that they were in the middle of an earthquake.

Once he was on the ground, though, Athan wasn't wasting any time. He rolled quickly to his right, grabbed ahold of an end table with his right hand, and while pushing himself up with his left hand, flung the table at Urarha. It was a fancy piece of furniture, glass overlaying a cast iron base, but it didn't weigh a whole lot. Sure, broken glass was probably a concern, but upon closer inspection the guy had metal arms and shades on, so at worst he'd probably just get some scrapes and minor cuts. Wasn't much of a concern for Athan, though, 'cause the big guy was just buying himself some time to recover from the cheap shot, because even he wasn't charging in after the toss.

He straightened up, pressing the back of his left hand against his back as though he were an old man who had just thrown it out.

"Figured you guys were cheap..."

Athan brought his left hand back forward, then popped his knuckles with some help from his right hand. Which, if it wasn't for the complete lack of bones in that forearm, he'd have bothered to return the favor. Didn't really stop him from mimicing the motion, though.

"...But didn't think you were idiots to boot."

Watching his hit connecting, he was overjoyed until the b*****d continued to launch an attack involving a shield. This brought true sorrow to the priest, realizing as long as he don that shield, his natural past time would be restricted. The adrenaline was surely coursing through this man's veins, allowing him to attempt another attack. Unable to evade this offense, Darious held his left arm to cover up part of his body. Tremendous force was met with the attack; yet inflicting full damage was going to be hinder by his block applied by the vile satanic priest. Being pushed a feet back, Darious would need to come up with a new plan and quick.

Enduring the pain that traveled through his left face region, there was no doubt he was going to get a headache and a few bruises if this continued. Drawing a second satanic cross from the left belt holster, he had intentions to repay him from that sneak attack from the beginning of the battle. Figuring it was time to demonstrate some of his special abilities, he bestowed sakari energy within his 4 bladed cross, throwing it in a similar motion as it spin horizontally for the shin region of Dash legs during his counterattack.

Despite the results, the close range between them would prove effective for a strategy to injure this captain even further. Practically sadistic, Darious infused his sakari energy into the blades, channeling 2000 volts of electricity to stun and possibly bring his foe to his knees. Regardless of how it happens, the bladed surface traced electricity would increase the range by a few inches, making the serrated areas perfect for this attack. Keeping a bloody thirsty glare at his adversary, he wondered if more bloodshed or electrocution would be his fate with his bladed beauties.

And here’s where things got messy.

Having dropped his shield, Dash stepped forward towards the recovering Darious. His right hand reached behind him to grab hold of the cross that had unceremoniously imbedded itself into his back/shoulder. The captain was far from finished with his little offensive. He plucked the blade free, finding himself once more greeted by pain as blood seeped from the ragged flesh of the wound. But this was no time to go all soft and meek. He’d been attacked by sharpened blades all freakin’ tournament and was thoroughly convinced that everyone was out to kill him.

It was payback time.

As Darious drew the cross from his coat, Dash was upon him. His body rotated counter clockwise while he stepped around to the demon’s left, avoiding the electrified cross that was tossed at his legs. Then, two things happened:

First, Dash swung his right arm around his opponent’s back, leading with his own cross as he sought to jam it into the man’s left shoulder as an act of revenge.

Second, a brief flash of green energy spiraled down Dash’s left leg as he swept it into the man’s legs, timing to the blow so that it coincided with his arm swing.

A soft pop sounded as the energy hastily gathered in Dash’s left foot released, adding a significant amount of force to the attack. If all went as planned, Darious would feel as if his own legs where blasted from beneath him, causing him to fall face-first to the floor.

And guess what was on the ground to break his fall:

The Angry shield he’d dropped. >=(

It suddenly became apparent to the audience that the two of them were probably not going to be walking home after this fight.

"'Least I dulled mine before I showed up. 'Sides, bet those arms of yours are more than just for show."

Athan pointed his left arm straight out and pulled his index and middle fingers back towards himself. A classic 'come on' gesture as Athan demonstrated quite a bit more restraint than he ever had in the past. As Urarha came bolting in, Athan cracked a smart-assed little half smile and turned his body profile to the Ell-Tee just as the first fist came flying in. Athan took the shot intended for his nose on his cheek, a flash of red shooting to the surface almost as soon as the fist made contact. Sure, Athan was made of thicker stuff than most people and it was just a jab, but let's face it. The guy's hands were covered in metal.

As the same fist came in again, Athan quickly stepped backwards with his right foot, positioning him slightly to Urarha's left. With his still-forward left hand he grabbed ahold of the metal arm, then secured his grip with the right hand.

"HYAH!"

Athan was a pretty strong guy, but for somebody of Urarha's size it took a little bit of effort on Athan's part, particularly since he wasn't lifting with anything more than his upper body. He turned, and in a modified, if not incredibly overexagerrated semblance of a hip toss, Athan carried Urarha straight over his shoulder and pitched the guy straight towards the closest wall.

Athan had thrown so much of his weight behind the throw that he had to drop to a knee to avoid falling flat on his face. From as close to a three point stance Athan could get in such short notice, he threw himself forward, a freight train of bone and flesh threatening to smash Urarha through the wall he had just been introduced to.

Well that was lame. Instead of hurling some joker into a wall Athan just got creamed right in the head in the middle of his pivot. The jolt rocked Athan's head to the side, rattled his brain around inside of his skull, and caused some nice little fuzzy lines and black spots to appear in his field of vision. It was the kind of hit that, coupled with being more powerful than it looked, caught Athan completely by surprise. Things like that tended to have their way on a guy, no matter how strong or tough he was.

Athan didn't manage to hold his grip on Urarha's arm, which was a bit of a shame, considering he had plans for the Brown estate. Instead, disoriented, he stumbled off to the side, barely catching himself with his left forearm before he went face-first into a wall himself. He shook his head, trying to clear the cobwebs and restore his vision. For now, it seemed he was going to have to survive by determining dangerous blurs from the non-dangerous ones, because something about that punch had shaken loose something that wasn't meant to be shaken loose.

SMASH!!!

The chair smashed over Athan's head and arms, and Athan, still covering up his face, which didn't really seem to affect him at all considering his vision was shot as it was, just went barrelling straight into Urarha. He was ducked forward slightly, which helped plant his crossed arms square into the guy's upper torso. A Cole Train in motion was a hard Cole Train to stop, and if Heita wasn't trampled underneath him he'd sure as hell be swept up, taken off his feet, and carried all the way across the room before being deposited into a bookshelf.

And the resulting impact of dozens of moderately-weighted books falling on the two fighters (or maybe just Athan) wasn't helping Athan's headache much, because whether or not Urarha was there didn't keep Athan from stopping to try and clear his head again. Seemed those early punches to the skull had done some damage, because they were the only reason Athan wasn't trying to press his advantage.

Roen ran over the door he had just knocked down. What was that? Six feet? Six and a half? He ran into the Interior around that length of space, but all was well. As the garden tools came in, Roen began to back away, instincts and honed reflexes guiding the motions of his hands as he poised the blade at various angles.

Hedge trimmers hit the World Splitter with resounding screeches, spades skimmed against the incisors that both protected and threatened his hands and glanced his armored sleeves, and plant pots exploded as they fell below the belt and hit his well protected shins.

The barrage stopped, and Roen shifted his sword and positioned it above his shoulder, the tip of the weapon pointing towards the door. Disoriented? Never. This was just beginning.

Alex stepped through the door way and Roen immediately stepped forward, his arms thrusting forward as he sent the tip of Hræðilegr whistling through the air, the intent to pierce the man's breastplate most clearly written on his determined face.

Darious vs Dash

The ultra rage from Dash was only making it easier to read his movements, while he watched the anger consume him. For a satanic follower, his negative emotions only pleased him. As the furious captain ran at him with one of his crosses, he took a daring decision and rush in. Throwing his body forward during his dash, Darious had the upper body leading for the most part. Shattering his exception assault, one of his most critical errors would be jamming the cross into his left shoulder. Laughing at his epic failure, Dash didn't acknowledge the fact the entire left arm was forged of metal.

While distracted on part one of the combo, he would launch himself towards Dash waist. Darious legs currently were being blown under because of the attack, throwing his body weight straight into this opponent and have him crash into the >:{ shield he wielded at the start of the matchup. The irritating green energy was surfacing its ugly head, damaging the menacing Darious a bit while driving the ******** into his own equipment. Attempting a tackle, Darious did such an attack to place himself on top of his opponent and ultimately arrive in a dominant position while Dash went prone.

Moving his body up high on the opponents’ chest, he wasn't letting him escape him when he began straddling him. If things were going well, Dash of ALL Bastards was about to face a vicious beating as fist went flying in a merciless way. Payback was a b*h, but someone had to show the man how it was done. st was going down and the audience would realize how brutal this matchup was becoming between these combatants, watching as the Sadist priest was doing some ground and pound on his a**.

"--khuh?"

He'd laid down a good hit, and he'd been going for the follow through, determined to do a bit of lasting damage before the guy got his bearings back- Kael knew he could lay out monstrous blows between his physical strength and his gauntlets, but he also knew that the better half of the people in this place ate the blows from them like candy. For once, he had figured his luck to be heading for the better rather than the worse.

That was when he flung the cloak up around off himself at last, wrapping it in over the incoming fist, deflecting the blow on a "flexible weapon" principle. Maybe it was just his usual luck at play after all.

He gritted his teeth as the tug came, bringing him stumbling forward, dragging him by the fist still clenched around the bottle and sending jolts through that side as it was forcibly stretched. That only got worse as Lucid fired up and delivered a brutal knee right into-

-CWUNK!-

-steel.

The force of the impact still transfered into his body, sending nasty pains all down Kael's right side and up into the arm, killing his ability to fight back much with the limb itself just then, but he was saved a direct hit to his injury by the breastplate, and Lucid might've had a little bruise on the offending joint. Between that, and the steel plates over treated leather of the gauntlet keeping the worst of the fire's heat from licking his skin directly, his decision to wear the armor today had really saved his a**. His side still hurt, and it was quickly going from "hot" inside the gauntlet to "hurting" and worse, even given that his hands were a hair less susceptible to the heat than normal. By the time he got a foot down to stabilize himself and turned back in, coming to balance quickly, Lucid had his balance back, and with his one arm still under the other man's control his options were limited, down in nearly a three point stance and with one of his hands hurting and readily manipulatable, though at least not catching flame, even if it cost Lucid both of his-

Aha!

Lucid had just caught himself from a knee, practically standing head on to the halfway-down Kael, and his hands were preoccupied.

Quick, simple motion.

Kael pivoted his body just slightly, relying on his left's own punching strength to drive a brutal gauntleted fist right into the jewels.

...it was just overkill, as far as nutshots went, but Kael'd been victim of one in the first round, and if this guy started complaining about cheapshots he had a whole 'nother volley o' words coming his way.

37Lucid Red Herring

Cwunk!

”Sweet mother francis that didn’t feel like flesh n bones…”

And following that, I could already feel a numbing of my right knee when I placed my foot back on the ground. So my knee strike was a success, and something of a failure at the same time. Hell, was really hoping to shave off some of that ugly on Kael’s face with what look of pain that screamed, ‘God. Why has thou forsaken me?’ Instead, I’m getting something more like a naner naner boo boo, and that made me wanna boo hoo. Not really. But, it definitely changed my perspective on how I’d need to attack this man.

Now two things had gone wrong in this situation. The first was that I didn’t deliver the wrath of Lucid onto this man with my raging knee. The second was that Kael dropped his weight low which prevented me from a really cool idea that makes me sad face all over. There was a bonus. I still had his hand trapped within the burning cloth which was going fast, and throbbing my hand in pain like a b***h.

Quick note on that: Mixing intense heat with freezing cold temperatures at the same time is not a fun feeling. In fact, it hurts like hell, like the blood of your body wants to both freeze and boil at the same time. Makes you feel like your muscles will split in half. Now, this wasn’t an intense pain, yet. But, it was starting to hurt to maintain ice mode while enduring the flames of the cloth. So, I was hoping that it was having at least some effect on Kael. Nothing was certain, but it was better I remained in ice mode than challenge the flames with my bare hands.

Lucid’s right leg slid back of his stance, placing his left leg as the lead. Continuing to apply a pull of pressure to Kael’s right arm, Lucid tightened the cloths and continued to pull on Kael’s right arm. It was so, that Lucid felt as well as saw a shift in Kael’s body.

I have his right hand. With him being low to the ground where much of his weight would be centered around his leg. He has only one option. I think he knows as well as I do…

He’ll use his left.

Now, Lucid didn’t know exactly where Kael would aim. Hell, Kael could probably get bold and try to rush Luicd at that point. Either way, Lucid was gonna use his left leg to block whatever was coming. So he positioned himself, leaning his weight onto his right leg for support. Kael’s left lashed outwards. Lucid brought his left knee up. And Blam! That gauntlet hand slammed into the knee cap of Lucid’s left leg. More so, Lucid’s lef would create a bit of a lift, guiding the strike upwards a bit as it was blocked.

”Y-you tried to hit my tenders? Those are a sacred property man!”

Not every nut shot was a surprise attack. Unfortunately for Kael, he wasn't in the best position to deliver too many surprises. At least not one of that caliber anyway. Lucid’s left leg came back down, throbbing a bit in the knee as a result of Kael’s attack. The beautiful thing about blocking with his knee, bending a limb for a block didn't cause as much damage as that limb being opened and flexed. Hell, skilled boxers blocked heavy hitting punches with their elbows and Muay Thai fighters were all about elbows and knees. But, that bit of pain simply made the man wince. He was talking to distract himself from it, a trait people don’t want to believe works incredibly well.

And since body shots just won’t do the trick in this situation…

Lucid sifted weight again. His left leg propelled his body and he aimed to deliver an attack that Kael would have a hard time defending against. What better than the exact same thing all over again. A right knee, torque with power from Lucid stepping down with his left leg, right for Kael’s face. That knee would be like a battery ram to a door, just no regards to structure and dignity.

”The color red suits you. Hey, lets play body painting. I have a great knee brush I’d just love to show you.”

This being said as the knee was in delivery. He continued to manipulate the trapped right hand to move Kael into position for these kinds of things. So naturally, Lucid had a bit of a jerk as well, attempting to propel Kael’s upper body into the strike as it came. And when that was said and done, Lucid still maintained a firm lock on the man’s right arm.

It was so pretty and cuddly. I wanted it. I had to have it!

"-ahtsh-"

Goddamn.

It hurt. Not as bad as having his fist meet a knee should have, but that had to do with the combination of it being less than tremendous, and his armor. The wrist and elbow tingled a little and the knuckles stung, but he drew it back in fast. As much as Setto could have thought that he was clear and in the advantage here, it wasn't so much the truth. Really, what they had was more of a stalemate.

Setto had two hands busy, and two legs he could attack with. Kael had one hand he could attack with, in a lot more ways, and two legs that were busy. Slight advantage Setto. But then, while the leather around Kael's hand started to get near the point where it seared his skin and made actual bad, bad things happen, especially below the wrist where the skin was softer, the loony had two hands holding onto that thing. Kael knew plenty of guys who didn't burn, but he was hoping icicles here wasn't one of them. The fire had at least seemed to bother him for a moment.

The knee came, aided with a tug, Kael's legs shifting to try and keep himself somewhat sturdy for, as it struck, once more, not his face all clear and exposed, but the gauntlet raised in defense. The knee slammed the guard, pushed it back and into his head, but the force to rattle his brain was simply gone out of it.

"Lotta talk."

That was really just the problem. Kael was low with a high guard, Lucid was high with a low guard. It was like a simple video-game match up. Someone had to either make a mistake or change something.

He was getting irritated again, and his hand was working on picking up blisters. He couldn't stand up. So he sat down.

Just like that.

With him being part way up again all he had to do was pop his knees just a hair forward while he dropped his weight, going to fall flat onto his butt out of nowhere, like some poor amateur skier gone and gotten spooked. In a single coordinated motion he shifted his downed knee up just a hair, twisted the bottle he still had a grip on, tightening the "rein" Setto had on it, and pulled back hard with it as he sat backward onto his rear, letting the shift of his hips' position give him just enough space to pop his legs up, falling further-

And delivering a solid kick with both barrels at Setto's thighs, just above the knees. Given that Kael was only ten pounds less than Setto and had just tossed his weight into pulling his upper body forward before delivering a destabilizing force, followed by the feet holding steady where they'd landed as he rolled backward, it all came out as if it were a real sort of martial arts motion, from one of those fancy gyms. Only Kael pulled it off with more force than finesse, and the circumstance was too damn weird for that.

It wasn't even likely to harm Setto, though maybe it'd hurt a little, but Kael just wanted to fling the guy over him onto his back too, maybe get him a little too busy to babble on for a second. As soon as he heard the "whud" of the other guy slamming to the nice, hard flooring with only a little expensive rug over top, he'd let go of the bottle and try and get away from the cloth before his hand would be seriously messed up by burns, and not just put in some serious pain. Step two was obviously to scramble to his feet quickly. He was counting on the combination of a moment's being stunned from the slam and the sudden loss of the bottle to give him enough loose space to slip out.

He wouldn't even notice, if they wound up down there, that he'd just put a burning wad of cloth jammed up against a rug, with just a hair of extra fuel bundled up all nice inside. A bad day for Mr Brown's furniture, it would seem.

Luckily Athan had something within arm's reach, because right when that punch hit Athan's entire upper torso just seized up. It wasn't so much the electricity that was the biggest problem, it was the fact that an electric shock caused every single muscle to fire. It was an incrediblly painful cramping sensation that lasted for a few seconds, the veins in his neck prominently on display as the shock hit.

"GYAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

Hell, if it were anything other than a punch Athan probably would have suffered brain damage or popped a blood vessel. Oh, and to top it all off now his vision had little blue sparks dancing around to go along with the fuzzy lines and blurry images.

The shock was so intense that it even traveled through his shoulders down into his arms, where his left hand had secured a grip on the book shelf to keep himself from toppling over. Since the pair had never actually slammed into the bookshelf, Athan was spared from a rain of literature at least.

When the shock subsided, Athan's hand had left a nice little imprint on the oak shelf. But nobody could really see it, since his hand still remained on the piece of furniture. In fact, his right hand dropped down lower, grasping onto a lower shelf before he heaved upwards, lifting the gigantic bookshelf off the ground and spinning to his left, aiming to whack Urarha out of the way with the side of the book shelf.

There wasn't much aiming to it. Athan was still counting on the guy being right behind him, so even though his vision was still messed up he didn't have to worry about spotting a target or anything.

And if that wasn't bad enough, as soon as he hit Urarha with the shelf he'd readjust his grip and underhand toss the shelving right at the oddly-shaped blur.

Wha-wait this guy had a metal arm too!?

The cross failed to penetrate the shoulder, so that part of his plan didn’t go too well. Now his foe went for a takedown? Fortunately, the captain had sidestepped to avoid the tossed cross and placed himself perpendicular to the demon’s left as he attempted the sweep/stab. This meant that if Darious wanted to go for a shoot/tackle, he’d have to somehow redirect himself in midair without use of his legs. The end result wasn’t quite as he expected.

The sudden weight of man hanging off him did bring Dash to the ground, landing firmly on his a** on top of an edge of the Anger shield.

THUD!

Darious was going to pay for the bruised tail bone, just as soon as Dash dealt with the man’s attempts crawl up on him and straddle him. The cross was still held in right hand so he tried again, this time plunging it lower into the man’s lats, around the kidney area. In spite his current state of ANGER, it was not directed at Darious, so Dash wasn’t going to do something like: STAB STRAIGHT INTO HIS KIDNEYS! That s**t is deadly. No, he angled the stab so that it would pretty much cut a swath down the demon’s back before imbedding itself into the meat of his butt.

Eventually, Dash would be forced onto his back. His buddy Darious would start to notice Dash’s left arm come ablaze with FITE ENERGY. Ribbons of ki danced about the arm like frenzied serpents. It was clenched in a tight fist, and Dash’s face was set in determination.

WHACK!

He caught a fist to the face, rocking his skull and blurring his vision.

Dash brought his right hand in front of him to deflect the following blows as best he could. Obviously, Dash was getting the raw end of the deal because he couldn’t keep taking headshots. He just needed to buy a couple seconds more time to build enough energy in his left arm.

Urarha watched as Athan was feeling the effects of his punch, a smile breaking out on his full lips as he figured Athan wouldn't be lasting to much longer. The smile would quickly disappear as Athan gripped the shelf and spun in the direction away from where Urarha was standing and was going in a full circle to hit Urarha (since he stepped with his left on the outside of Athan's body, he was standing on Athan's right. Spinning left to hit Urarha would have to take him in a full circle), Urarha would have plenty of time to react and would do so.

Driving left shoulder first in Athan's left elbow to help loosen up his grip on the bookshelf, Urarha would change levels to stay outside of the man's vision as he lowered his weight by bending his knees and spreading his legs about shoulder length apart. Driving upwards on his legs, he would pivot his torso to the right as he launched an uppercut right to the chin...right before replanting his feet, cocking his right hand back and delivering an over hand...

@%$&

Lucid thought as his foot met with Kael’s left arm in a block.

But, that was expected. It’s not like Kael was completely defenseless in this situation. In fact, he’s thinking a lot smarter on the situation than I would have given him credit for. There was just one problem…

Why was his face turning redder than normal. Is… is he bleeding to death?

When Kael sat on his a**, Lucid knew things would only get more difficult holding on to the cloth. His golden orbs narrowed at the man a bit with a smirk on his face at the fact. It was about that time to let go of Kael’s right hand and get out of the burning cloth.

”Hey… waita—“

Speaking on that cloth, it seemed Kael was finally ready to use it to his advantage as I began to felt more weight from his body applied to the tug of his right arm than normal. Now, normally I could have countered this with stable footing. Though the man’s centering his weight really low, I should have had balance to stop this from happening. But, that’s the problem with using my feet for attacking. Balance changes just way too much. So, I couldn’t stop myself from…

He flipped right over Kael’s body just as intended. With that…

Riiiiiiiiip!

The cloth seemed to tear in the process, freeing both Kael’s and Lucid’s hands. Perhaps this just happened naturally. Perhaps Lucid, in an attempt to catch himself from the fall, decided to tear the damn thing on his own. Or maybe the cloth just gave away from the soon to be dying flames thanks to it now being soaked in water. It was undetermined how long the thing would remain ablaze. But, the fact it was melting Lucid’s ice coating his hands would definitely begin to hinder the flames at that point. Or maybe not. Moonshine.

Lucid hit the ground with a hard thud. It would sound bad to a spectator since the floor was so hard, and he weighed as much as he did. But, it wasn’t as bad as it could have been. Lucid used his arms to roll himself onto his back in the landing to lessen not the damage, but more so the stun factor of it. Of course, him landing in the way he did, he didn’t have the time to complete a roll back to his feet. So he landed more on his back than anything. No matter, Lucid scrambled back upwards anyway and moved to face Kael, but he was more in a crouching position than standing. They’d more than likely be on their feet at the same time. The stalemate continues, and now it was up to one of them to deliver a first attack.

”Do you like Elmo? You’re starting to look like Elmo! All red n fuzzy-like…”

Damn, this is a hellava time to be hallucinating Elmo. HeH, I get to pound on Elmo. I’m probably the only guy in the world who can say he gets to pound on Elmo. Women shall be pissed.

Ironic, isn’t it? That such an angry man could be portrayed as such a happy puppet in Lucid’s mind. Let the smashing begin. If Kael thought that having a bit of distance on Lucid was a good thing, he was about to get a rude awakening.

,,+

Lucid’s palm slammed on the ground. Stalagmite was the move.

Now there were a few things Kael would notice about Lucid’s ice. The first was the most obvious, and the most intimidating at the moment. The stalagmite formation would erupt from the ground before Kael, stretching 5 feet within the air to ram itself into Kael’s chest like an uppercut from a skilled boxer. Intended to be more of a distraction, however, Lucid wasn’t planning for the attack to really hit. It would just buy him time to get close by giving Kael more to worry about. So Lucid got up from his crouch and started towards the stalagmite, watching the direction Kael would move to deal with the damn thing as he stalked closer. Now this was the interesting thing Kael would notice. The ice formed on Lucid’s hands were like gauntlets, themselves. They coated up the forearm of the tuxedo coat he was wearing, like Sub Zero’s arms in the later Mortal Kombat games. Except… these ice gauntlets were formed like this…

Level-3 Wrote:

Oh yeah. Not an immediate danger with Kael’s armor and Lucid’s range at the moment. But, the possibility was present at the time. Well, this certainly questioned why Lucid was able to deal with the fire. But, his hands were still throbbing in slight pain like a b***h. Grr!

It probably helped that Athan was legally blind at this stage, because Athan couldn't really see anything. There was a distinct lack of 'thud' after he had grabbed the bookshelf, and even worse he felt Urarha's shoulder on his left side. Obviously the fifty-fifty chance of him picking the right direction was off, but it was a little too late to make an adjustment. He managed to drop the bookcase, but not before a left fist snuck in underneath his very poorly-placed guard and caught him right underneath the chin.

Athan's head rocketed backwards, but as it did, his eyes snapped open, and whether that hit knocked something right back into place or Athan had finally recovered from the first Blaster Uppercut to the temple, the fuzzy picture was starting to regain some clarity.

Urarha reset himself for another punch, and Athan snapped his head down just in time to catch the windup for another heavy right punch. Sure, Athan didn't know exactly what it was that made those rights hurt, but he knew enough now that it wasn't a good idea to take a shot directly to the forehead.

Judgement activated, the black substance that made up his right forearm soon spread the entire length of his right arm, thickening and going numb as he crossed his forearm directly into the path of the overhand punch.

The force was enough to actually shoot Athan's arm back into his face, as well as send Athan skidding backwards several feet for even daring to stand in the way of the punch.

"What...?"

Athan pulled his arm down, his nose now bleeding and his vision still swimming slightly, but at least he was now facing one Urarha instead of several. Even more importantly, the sudden backlash had put Athan next to his most prized possessions.

"Tired already?"

His right hand shot back, grabbing hold of an all-too-familiar hilt. Athan hadn't had many opportunities to actually use his sword in Heaven or Hell, but it was time to break that trend.

His left hand followed suit, but instead of gripping hold of the mammoth weapon held in his right, it snagged ahold of the hilt of the smaller sword, comparable in size to Kael's b*****d sword at about five feet in length, Athan was comfortable with using that one in one hand.

As for the sword in his right hand, well, it was a first time for everything.

Athan didn't have enough space to use both swords effectively inside such a cramped space, particularly when Urarha was so close to him. Didn't mean the weapon didn't still have its uses, though.

He cocked his right arm back as he stepped forward, throwing his weight behind sidearming the eighty-pound sword at Urarha's midsection. The sword spun horizontally, and it looked like if Urarha's body didn't stop it, nothing was going to in the near future.

As for Athan, he kept trucking right on behind that sword, tossing the twenty-pound hunk of steel from his left hand to his right as if it were a toy.

This brawl was turning into a bloodbath now, having the atmosphere engulfed with criminal intentions. For the meanwhile, Darious obtained alot of pleasure exchanging blows with the captain of ALL Bastards. Taking him down, he heard bone collide with steel as Dash slammed onto the shield. The unfortunate part was the fact the material of his custom cassock was crafted from leather, absorbing most of the cut until a region that he cherished was wounded by the ******. Embedding his weapon into his a cheek was unforgivable and overall was a clear warning to show his own fury now. If only he heard the thoughts that drowned his subconscious, he would be getting a chuckle out of it.

‘WHAT THE ******, YOU.. STABBED... ******! THAT’S IT, YOU ARE A DEADMAN DASH!!!!!!!!!!!!'

Hellfire was unleashed into the estate, longing to maim the man and envelop him in blood. The merciless strikes were still occurring, fueled by the desire to pound his skull in and forget all of team Lu Bu's objectives. He crossed enemy territory with that offensive attack, enraged as his welding goggles had crimson hues looking at him with an ominous glare with barbaric and possibly psychotic thoughts influencing him.

" I Will Break You! "

Sliding one of his infamous crosses down from the sleeve, Dash would discover the cunning but cut throat demeanor of his opponent, giving a threatening statement as he multitask during these motions. Firmly grasping his weapon, he would sheath the top and bottom areas, channeling a massive amount of energy into the imposing hands of Darious Kaiq. Knowing the consequences, he ignored them as Sakari energy streamed into his right fist, glowing a demonic dark crimson color.

If the b*****d wanted to shield against his blows, so be it. Entering his boxing mindset, he threw a vicious metallic power jab with full support of his body going forward. This was the crippling blow to shatter that right hand. Slamming into his hand, there was no doubt the metal fist would feel bones cracking from the brutal impact behind it. Stretching his right arm back, he launched a mighty haymaker that packed more than a normal punch. Combining the heat transferred to the fist from Sakari hell and the shocking quality of Sakari Plague would create a combo which usually would be avoided. Altogether these two techniques would cause a chain reaction that would injure him, taking a huge risk by mixing them for what the Sadist Priest deemed,

EXPLODING FIST!

With his own well being forsaken, he was going to send the ****** through hell itself. Aiming for anyplace of the body in particular near the upper region, Darious plot was to put this b*h into la la land and straight into the closest hospital. He would learn that the insatiable bloodlust of Darious made him a frightening opponent to face.

Or rather Roen's blade. Alex would plainly see Roen take a stab at him as the swordsman was just standing there in the open, he would bring his axe down swiftly so that it would smash into the blade before it reached his breastplate..or so he hoped. It was a ******** long sword.

The flat of the axe head sent the blade towards the floor, but the tip of it managed to scrape into Alex's breastplate, leaving a defined mark in the thick armor as it was dragged downwards under the axe's pressure. Though it was deflected, a sword would struggle to pierce plate armor anyway, so there was never any real danger.

What happened next would depend on how Roen reacted with his blade, the axe was certainly heavy, maybe even heavy enough to break such a long blade.

That was y'know, all well and good, but although Athan was putting his weight behind the throw, he still had another arm. He still had another arm with a somewhat sharpened sword in hand. Still, it was a bit unexpected to see a guy charging towards him, then basically exploding off of the ground.

Far be it from Athan to be quick on his feet, he did have a lot of mass to move and all. So he wasn't going to be stepping anywhere too soon. What he did do was shift his weight to the left in mid throw, basically throwing off his center of balance and causing him to roll off to the side, leaving Urarha to BLASTER DOWNWARDCUT the wall.

Athan's heavy sword clattered to the ground, without much fanfare considering the interruption in his throwing motion and the incredible weight of the thing.

As for Athan, he was comin' up swinging. Once the evasive roll finished, he was up and whipping that sword of his around like a baseball bat. While it wasn't nearly as heavy as the sword he had attempted to throw, Athan's not-so-greatsword was a little sharper and upwards of twenty-five pounds. Though, for Urarha's benefit, he was at least hitting the guy in the center of the back with the flat of the blade.

48Supreme Jerk Commander

Dash’s world drew back into the focus just in time to see that metallic fist coiling to strike. If his fight versus the vampire back in round one taught him anything, it was that metal arms = pain. Darious went for the jab, and Dash tucked his right arm close to his side then rotated his body to his left, presenting Darious with a fleshy bicep as opposed to the bone of say his hand or forearm. The shock of the impact shot down

his arm and side. It hurt like holy hell, and he’d have a nasty bruise forming.

The captain’s brown eyes locked with those of the devil, not seeming the least bit perturbed by their unworldly glow. He saw his opponent draw another cross and then felt the sudden spike in the man’s sinister aura.

Darious drew back his glowing right fist, Dash raised his left, but he didn’t plan to punch at the guy above him, that would be useless. He had something more unorthadox planned.

“Damn son, you need Jesus!”

The first words Dash had said all fight. Hopefully they wouldn’t be the last.

He slammed his left fist into the ground beneath him, releasing all the energy he had gathered. Combine that with the weight of the two men, a shield, snow, sleigh and all the other crap that fell in from the roof, then you have the potential recipe for hilarity. Oh and then there was the EXPLOSIVE FIST flying down at him from Darious. Dash tried his best to shift to his right, and move his head out of the way. The blow grazed his left cheek, cutting it, and impacted solidly with his left shoulder.

“FFFFFFF-“

Dash’s cursing was lost in the cacophony of the floor collapsing. At least that would mitigate some of the damage; but still, Dash wasn't going to be using that arm to any effect. Down they went as that section of the attic caved, sending the fighters into one of the guest bedrooms where:

A comfy king-sized waterbed awaited them. The avalanche of debris, including the sleigh, fell in a circle of carnage around the bed itself.

The feng shui of the room had effectively been ruined along with several peices of furnature.

You could almost see the brow on the side of his face now covered with little smears of blood from the smaller cuts make an anime-esque twitch of annoyance while icicles started chattering again. Sure the waking fog that'd had him real pissed off at first was gone, as was the shock of the whole fight deal. Roaring anger had died away pretty quickly, but as much as he was trying to be fairly methodical about this, this guy... just...

Well, Setto had made a lot of pretty good calls over the course of the whole deal, but he was just about to make another mistake. While getting away from having his hand restrained and burning was wonderful, he wasn't looking to retreat- at this point it seemed a bit late to simply say "no fight, I want a nap". b*****d had him all riled up and he wouldn't be able to get to sleep nice and easy right then if he'd tried. Oh no. Kael was standing right there, waiting for Lucid to try and make a tackle before he did something aggressive and set himself up for it, but when the guy started talking again it went out the window.

He was doing something with his hand, and if that wasn't a second he had to go for the goal, he didn't know what would be. Kael took a single quick step forward, and followed up with his his right leg in a massive arc, straight forward and up- delivering a punt to the madman's face, like he was aiming to send it right though the field goal. Of course, Kael wasn't pointing his foot for aim like a football kicker, he just cared about making it hurt, so he was just slamming his armored boot in there while the sap was too busy attacking the ground.

Now, Kael had seen his fair share of Saturday morning cartoons, and he took the hint about why he'd been determined to smack the floor around, but that was after the fact- he hadn't been expecting something to pop out of the earth under him at icicle's beck.

"-mmpf!?"

Out of nowhere it seemed, something blasted through in his peripheral vision in a blur and slammed into his chest just a second too late to stop the c**t face-punt. Once more the armor held up well enough not to dent inward, saving him the risk of anything breaking under the strike, but the force still dispersed into his chest, dragging out a rattling cough as he... flew?

Well, kick considered, the sturdy hit into his chest while he was moving forward was nearly perfect to send him back a bit, legs flailing up in front of him as if he was attempting to continue running. The landing was a little more comical, and about as painful. If the frequency of him falling on his a** didn't change a bit, he didn't figure he'd be able to sit right for a couple days.

"--********."

Sitting down, hands holding him up while frosty was no doubt trying to deal with having to climb to his feet again too. Kael made sure not to lag, but first his a** hurt, shifting to get up, then his side, and just everything in general was aching and eliciting the most irate series of growls you'd ever heard as he did it. His face stung, and as he squared up and took a good look at the other fella's own set of icy half-arm knuckles, he inwardly groaned.

He probably should have pressed the attack, but he was just annoyed as all hell, and the cut up side of his face stung. The only saving grace of the whole situation was that he could still just barely hear his Fleetwood Mac playing, as grossly inappropriate as it was for the fight it was still music. Kael raised one glove up, rubbing at his cuts, and with the other gave Lucid a good look at his middle finger.

STRIKER ASSIST - OFFENSIVE

[ Let's get it goin' ]

Left in the snow was a syringe, recently used, it's contents injected into Chance's arm. Only now, was he feeling the effects. His eyes were wide, his heart was pumping. He was very much alive Adrenaline pumped through his veins, the Naloxone blocked his opiate receptors, giving him new life from his previous snail like demeanor. He tapped his FIGHTER with jittery fingers, before returning to his new toy as he came behind Alex.

Runnnn-n*a-n*a-n***a

Only Chance could have grabbed a racist chainsaw.

Ruuuun! Ruuun! Run-RUUUUUUUUN!

He gassed the throttle, and with little hesitation he aimed to cut Alex left to right, from shoulder to knee. RRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUN! The saw should have eaten through the armor with little issue. And as the first pass with the rotating blade would have come to an end, Chance decided to cut horizontally across the knee's as well. Both of them. If Alex had decided to turn, he would certainly lose whatever limb came across Chance's frenzied view first.

Immediately after his last cut, he'd back away, and tap his FIGHTER to signal that he was done. There wasn't a definitive arena, so to speak, so he simply vanished into the snow, Chainsaw in tow. "Nothin' you can't take a chainsaw to... Hehe."

The Fighter read 7.62s.

WHOOM!!!

And he was exploded backwards while Athan went into his barrel roll, the way being destroyed instantly. The reason Urarha was pushed back the way he came, was that his feet wasn't planted to him in position. So he landed with a rather loud OMFF on the ground and backwards rolled back onto his feet before landing on his butt while Athan was in the process of standing to his feet.

The tingling in his right arm stopping as he went with his momentum and roll back onto his shoulders, up and over and he was back on his feet. It would seem that he had lost his advantage at keeping the fight close. His breath coming out a little heavier than normal, he would ball his hands back into fist as he eyed Athan's swords.

Let's see. A lot of compounded damage to the head, forcing the big guy to lug that weight around a bit to take away from his stamina is all well and good. He should be suffering from a concussion of some sorts and be feeling the effects of everything pretty soon... But he got his weapons, which should pose a problem. Gotta figure out a way around them.

His right hand would raise as he took a southpaw boxers stance, his hand waving at Athan in the classic bring it on motion.

Well if Athan was going to be given the time to select his weapon, he would stick the shorter sword straight into the floor and bend over to recollect Ol' Faithful, the bigger sword that was just as tall as Athan was. He seemed in no real hurry to get things going again, because Athan's head was still pounding.

"Well..."

Athan shrugged his shoulders and started forward, dragging his sword behind him as he went.

"If you insist."

Athan decided to test just how effective his range advantage was. He stepped forward with his right foot and, going from left to right, just unleashed a giant swing with his glorified club. He was probably about eight feet away from Urarha at this point, but the only real cutting force Urarha would have to worry about would be at the tip of the sword, though a piece of metal could still open up a nice cut if it hit somebody hard enough.

Then again, Urarha had those bionic arms to deal with that.

As things were looking his way, Dash once again did something unpredictable and overall unorthodox. Underestimating the reason behind the glowing fist, the b***d escaped a near fatal situation with a clever defense. Intentionally collapsing the floor under their forms, he would find be colliding with the water bed, having the immense weight and impact completely obliterate that item and cause them to be soaked instantly. Prohibiting that son of a b*h to escape, Darious was still pinpointed on top of him despite falling a few feet.

The remnants of the floor left a few scratch and bruises all over him and the most painful would be the right hand. Using a mixture of those maneuvers weren't qualified, yet in the heat of the moment the consequences made no difference. It was obvious complications occurred such as the burns that surrounded every layer of his right hand, the strain his body felt, and the stamina that was leeched from that self-destructive technique. Realizing they were slowly demolishing the entire estate, he was pleased while keeping Dash pinned somewhat. Usage of that fist would be foolish, yet he was fully capable in wielding his metallic limb.

Giving a malicious grin at his adversary, he viewed him like a Christian that decided to burn his church down. Literally drove to fury, Darious extended his 15 inch reversed wrist blades. If Dash was paying attention to the details, he would notice it was insidiously sharp at the end for swings and fully serrated. Wasting no time once they were revealed, three sessions of sadistic slashes left and right would occur in a barbaric fashion. Attacking the same region from before, he didn't care how he the hits went.

Swinging them menacingly, Darious knew if his used his arm it would be close to hacked off by the vicious slashes or alterations to his face could happen with blades that deadly. If the side effects weren't affecting him, the slashes would be relentless and his victory would be certain. If he was struggling before, the Captain was discovering an anger Darious was just insane.

Was he actually thinking he could stop me before my Stalagmite struck him? Well screw that! I can do this! I can beat him to the punch! I can—

bLaM!

Lucid’s head snapped back as he was taken up from his crouch. His back arched a bit as blood went squirting into the air. There was a pause, only but for a second, in Lucid’s train of thought. The man was attempting to catch his bearings from being taken off guard by Kael’s armor boot to bottom lip. Well, it really hit the whole jaw line and had a ricochet off his bottom lip on the impact. Nevertheless, it definitely put pause to the ice man’s assault preparations. Lucid didn’t immediately fall back on his a**. When he was about to, his feet began to shuffle in an uncontrolled fashion and there Lucid went, stumbling off to his right side while Kael was thrown back by his stalagmite. Lucid managed to catch himself, not by holding onto anything or awaiting his feet to catch a rhythm for balance. But actually relying on his off balanced stumble to propel him for the advantage.

He spit.

Blood sloshed that pretty carpet as a crazy grin came upon Lucid’s full, bloody lips. His teeth were stained within the crevices with blood as he chuckled a sinister chuckle.

“--********.”

”Does Elmo no wanna ride in the back seat?”

Lucid was, at first, stumbling away from Kael. It placed a bit more than 8 feet of distance between them or so as Kael landed from being thrown back by the Stalagmite. But that was about to change. Lucid came charging in wildly as Kael moved to his feet. Wildly because he appeared to be doing something like stumbling forward towards Kael in the process. It was so, that Lucid appeared as if he were about to fall face first. Instead, once Kael was on her feet, Lucid was in his face with a big a** bloody grin.

”Hey. Do I—“

And Blam! Lucid would ram his right shoulder into the gut area of Kael’s armor. Not that it would do much to damage the guy. But, that wasn’t the plan. Lucid was to use enough force to sweep Kael from his feet, pick him up by his thighs, and ram his body into the wall behind him.

I only need to gather information before I end this. The range, speed, trajectory, force needed to swing. All that. Every little bit of information helps.

He would watch as Athan chose his blade, and with all the fighting going on around them, he was content with letting that happen. Then the weapon was swung at him. Sliding back on his feet, he would push off on his left foot which would propel him to his right, going in the direction that Athan had just swung from.

Yeah that's right big guy. Come on and get some, and keep using your strength to swing around that big for nothing sword.

It was all just a simple game of cat and mouse as Urarha never took his eyes off Athan as he bounced around on the balls of his toes to keep his footwork light and quick. He maybe needed 1 or 2 more swings from Athan before he would make his move.

Athan didn't even stop his swing. The sword went around his back, switched hands once, and then he moved forward again, taking two steps and repeating the same swing. The sword was picking up momentum as it went, because with each additional swing Athan was able to put more and more force behind it.

Only Athan's incredible weight kept him from becoming a whirling dervish, but he seemed to be holding back just ever-so-slightly. After all, the tournament was non-lethal and Athan wasn't out to kill anyone. And even though this guy had done his best to grate on Athan's nerves, he hadn't snapped just yet.

The sword came around again, same trajectory as before, same general left-to-right horizontal motion, but the tip of the weapon dropped slightly. Probably out of anticipation of the quicker spin or something, hard to really tell considering the thing was quickly becoming a giant blur of metal.

The only real miracle going on here was that he didn't hit any of the other twenty fighters that suddenly crammed into the interior.

Suddenly Alex was being chainsawed. Luckily His platemail was far too tough for it to make a clean cut, or even cut through it at all. It may even suffer some problems with it's rotary system causing it to jam and such. So after some dramatic sparks started flying, Alex would turn to the side, so that on his left was Roen, and to his right was Chance. With his axe still pressing down on Roen's blade to keep it from stabbing him, the chainsaw would slip from his shoulder position, leaving a few scuff marks and scratches.

This meant that Chance now had no target and may even fall forwards a little from the force he would've hard to exert to even push through the armor. Wasting no time Alex would smack the surprised drug abuser in the face with an armoured gauntlet. His fist was blindingly fast, and was retracted before Chance would be able to make any significant mess with the chainsaw.

His attention was focused on Chance for maybe a second, before turning back to Roen to see what he was doing about the whole "Axe on sword" situation.

[6]

60Designated Hero

That was more like it.

Enough of these damn games.

Heita came forward, and Athan's right hand released its grip on the sword, switching control over to his left hand. Urarha had already closed half of the distance between the two of them, leaving Athan very little margin for error. There was a little flash of a smile on his face, though that was probably the concussion speaking.

Athan's right arm shot forward just prior to the two bodies colliding. It was a lot of momentum to try and stop with one arm, but it helped that he was leaning into the guy, and that that Judgment had added a little bit of weight to the arm. He didn't need a lot of space, just enough to keep those metal arms from wrapping around him. Athan flinched, his arm buckled as their bodies impacted, but it held just long enough.

Before Urarha could get close enough to give Athan a nice little hug, he'd feel a sudden sharp pain on his temple just before he was forced rather roughly to the ground by the force of Athan's sword's pommel being jammed into his skull.

Luckily the pommel wasn't very ornate, and was just a flat piece of metal, but there was no mistaking the force behind it. There was eighty pounds of solid metal on the other end of that hilt, and a full revolution worth of build-up coming to a sudden stop was about to level the playing field in the brain damage department.

[9/17]

61Oncle Roen

With a clang and subsequent screech of metal followed suite by a thud, Roen found his mighty World Splitter embedded in the hardwood floor. Demoralized but clearly resolved to press on, he began to jerk at the leather-wrapped hilt of Hræðilegr in an attempt to wench his weapon from the floor it was forced to cleave into as well as the oppressive axe which forced it there. This was when Chance came in with his racist chainsaw, his Striker reduced to a mere distraction in the face of Alex's superbly crafted and multi-layered armor. Roen counted his blessings as they were and used this distraction to his utmost advantage, for whatever it was worth. Jerking his sword out from underneath the Alex's axe with what strength he could muster to do so, the Devil turned tail for the third time this match and ran away. The edge of his weapon smacked against chairs, ground against wood and carpets, but there it was. Roen ran away to once again revise his strategy - whatever the hell that was.

Through the foyer, around the bend, and up the stairs to the upper level--

Roen stopped on the mid of the second flight and turned around, the World Splitter negligently laying upon the stairs. Yes, tactical advantage. Tedious and downright boring, it had to be done. Roen was actually going to use tactics to gain the upperhand.

5/17

62[Chance]

Chance meanwhile, had not been struck by the fist that had come his way. By the time Alex had turned, Kristopher had already backed away to disengage his FIGHTER. At best, Alex would have struck the trailing saw from it's owner's retreating form.

63GuyaStealsFrom4chan

Alex, ignoring the chainsaw toting man began to pursue Roen as soon as he had sprinted off. As he ran, he slung his axe over his left shoulder and bent down swiftly to scoop up a plain black handled spade. Smiling he jogged off after Roen, not keeping up, but not trailing behind by a significant distance.

He turned the bend past the foyer just as Roen was stopping on the stairway. He smiled grimly under his helmet and looked up at the swordsman, who had turned on the stairway to face him. "C'mon now..this is just getting downright boring."

He rolled his shoulders, before suddenly lobbing the spade at Roen, blade first. As soon as the metal handle had left his grip, Alex hopped up the stairs three at a time, his axe held infront of his chest and his head low.

64Psychofish

Well. The important thing was Kael had enough time to give him the finger.

The shoulder tackle was just what he'd been holding up on before, when he could have done something, but now he had less in way of options. Options that basically consisted of one thing- take the hit.

And he took it hard.

The thing to note about Kael's armor, was that he didn't really have a suit. What he had consisted of five pieces, beginning with his trusty gauntlets and boots, with armor grade leather beneath the typical plated protection. The newest addition to his set was the breastplate- and rather than a full suit of armor, it was just that. It wrapped around almost every inch of his ribs, coming down further on the sides than the middle, and including a wide steel "collar" to protect his neck, which would also make uppercuts rather hard, if do next to nothing against other punches. It didn't cover his shoulders. And more relevantly, it didn't cover his stomach.

"Hurggk-!"

The air went out and his body curled over the shoulder while his legs got picked right up, full on a good hit. It was almost embarrassing he'd let it happen, as simple and practical as it was at any time that he wasn't prepared to pound the guy's skull in for trying. The fact that he weighed nearly just as much as Lucid could be counted to slow him down a bit by the time they got to the wall... but it wouldn't matter a great deal considering that was more body going into the hit.

His brain hadn't been rattled by it, but his whole body had, exploding his right side into pain even though his ribs didn't directly get hit, and driving the air out. He was too weak to do much in resistance before the next impact came but grab Lucid's hair with his left hand and yank backwards. His right hand clattered at his belts, but the spatha was practically a joke right now, his favored sword wasn't on his person, which left him with the odds and ends of his pouch, the gauntlets, and-

-Wrr-rruck!-

He felt his body slam into the wall and pain shot through him again, fragile, healing ribs provoking him into a fit of coughing. He couldn't see through it, but it was already. He didn't need to see from here, and he already had a hold of it.

Do you ever shut it?

Setto's shoulder may have been buried in Kael's stomach, but he didn't intend to give the man time to go anywhere after the impact against the wall. He'd had their whole little sprint just to grab at his belt, and the other man was just about to have steel buried in his left shoulder. There were two knives on Kael's belts, and while the one on his back was still sheathed, he'd gone for the one on his right side, just in front of where his short sword was sheathed. It wasn't even bladed- no, this was strictly for stabbing, not utility, the dagger itself almost triangular in shape to leave a nice hole in flesh that'd make it hard to heal- and most importantly, hard to use any muscle it went into.

Kael wasn't aiming for anything vital, or trying to go through ribs, no, that was risky, even with paramedics that could probably save someone from damn near anything lurking nearby. All he did was draw the blade out, wrack hard and cough from the impact into the wall, and then drive the point of the dagger into the meat of the shoulder, looking to take Setto's left arm near enough out of the picture for the fight while it was an easy, undefended target. He couldn't defend himself from being slammed into the wall some more, but he could try and see to it that he'd benefit most from the exchange.

[6/17]

65Oncle Roen

Alex stopped and stared where as Roen readied himself for battle. Didn't that oversized tin-cat say he was done with words? Hefting Hræðilegr off of the staircase and lowering his right hand to the bottom of the hilt, Roen effortlessly lifted the seventy-two inch sword off of the ground and raised it over his head, its tip angling towards the upraised ceiling. From there, it was the tedium of drawing out the reserves of strength, the force attuned gems embedded in the eyes of the demon fixtures glowing in response to the supernatural perceptions the Devil flooded into the weapon. When doing this several times in one day, it always got a little harder with each subsequent attempt. Each grasp at strength became more of a struggle, each flood of his energy into the weapon was met with more resistance. There was no other way of saying it - Hræðilegr could get tired of Roen drawing out its power. It was someways off, but it could certainly be felt as he tuned himself with the weapon.

But he limited the strength. He wanted to beat Alex, not kill the poor b***d. Alex rolled his shoulders, and thun chuckled a spade at Roen. Why the hell was the tin-can always throwing st at the Devil? Leaning towards his right side, Roen caught the spade on the thickly fabricated and mail-laden greatcoat he so fashionably wore (Alex was a brute of a man, this attack would leave bruising in the days to come) and brought his World Splitter down on the tin-can that was closing in on him.

It came from above and on a slant, effectively hurtling towards not the junction between Alex's left shoulder and neck, but rather the man's helmeted head itself. Oh yeah, concussive force. This guy was barreling up the stairs three at a time towards an opponent who had the highground - again, that helmet must have been screwed on much too tight. And not only was this blow extremely concussive by nature, lo and behold, what was on Alex's right flank? Railings! The b*****d would be smacked into the wooden railings and hopefully fall to the end of the match.

Distance between Roen and Alex at the time of attack: A minimum of six feet.

Edited: For clarity.

66Lucid Red Herring

…Thought process rebooted…

Good morniiiiing VIETNAAAAAM!

KaBlow!

Lucid felt the back of his head snap backwards as Kael grabbed hold of his dreadlocks. But, that was nothing compared to the epicness of having the air shoved out of Kael’s lungs when hit back hit that wall and beautiful pictures fell off the wall, items dropped from the shelf over the fireplace, and it would sound like an Earthquake shook the house. Lucid felt a bit of pleasure and pain by it all. Pleasure because it was just plain funny to him. Pain, because he was still feeling a bit sore all over.

No fault in that. Kael was doing a damn good job in keeping me from practically annihilating him. I think he wanted me to shut up as well. It was so cute, the little Elmo giving me a fat lip. I almost wanted to glorify his counterstrike by putting my finger over my mouth like a kindergartener. But there wasn’t time for that.

Now I didn’t intend to back away from Kael at this point. I wanted to keep the pressure on him. My biggest fear was him whipping out one of those knives and cutting off my means of pounding him into the ground. Lucky me, I already got rid of that damn sword. So, I planned to keep up the work on his body. Body and face was what would bring this man down for the count. Then I can see if he’s all ticklish and giddy under that manry armor.

”Hey, what is with you people and grabbing my dre-“

Schnikt!

”Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!”

Now people would say steel felt cold entering the body. It was warm to Lucid. Perhaps if any blood splattered upon Kael’s hand as the knife entered his shoulder, he’d know this himself. Lucid’s blood was cold as ice. Exposed to air, it would slowly crystallize into crimson ice. So, Kael got a neat little show as Lucid launched back a bit in pain. Wide eyed, he gritted his teeth as his left leg was brought back a bit.

That was what I was afraid of. Why do people with knives suddenly think they’re surgeons and @%$#, feeling a need to amputate things all random like.

”Elmo…”

I did the only thing I could in this situation. I reacted hard. I reacted fast. I allowed my adrenaline to take over and used the boost of energy to hit this man as hard as I could before my body would be put on pause from the pain.

Lucid’s left leg snapped forward towards Kael’s stomach area. It was a swift front snap kick that led into a two hit combination. Lucid had a weapon of his own. It was coating both his hands in ice with hooked like edges that ha the ability to rip flesh right off of the muscle. Wanting Kael to feel that same kind of pain he did, Lucid followed hat front snap kick by planting his kicking left leg forward and launched his right hand. Oh did it hurt like hell. It brought crystal tears to Lucid’s eyes. But Lucid was hoping that front snap to the gut would prevent Kael from blocking his incoming right overhand punch where Lucid would drive those jagged iced gauntlets into Kael’s face. The sheer force of the ice would shatter on impact. The hooks would bury into Kael’s face, and follow Lucid’s arm in motion ripping off any flesh that it came in contact with like several fish hooks trapped in skin. And with that, his adrenaline rush was gone. Lucid stumbled back from his own attack, hoping he managed to knock Kael back on his a**. All the while, that knife was still in his shoulder.

”…You’re an evil b*****d. And you’re not red enough…”

Lucid said with a hint of exhaustion in his breath.

Something about this reminded Tres of one of his bad break ups. It was one of those situations when the chick starts throwing random s**t at Tres while backing up steadily.

Tres would not drop to the ground from hanging on the roof but instead would slide down into a hanging position on the edge of the roof, looking into the entrance into the master room from outside in the balcony.

BOOM

Tres would use his iron like abs to bring his legs up quickly to kick the chair flying at him, causing it to burst into splinters like some sort of clay pot.

"I'm sorry baby, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings", he said to fox as he began to walk towards the exit of the master bed room towards the entrance to the Wine Cellar. Simultaneously Tres would swing forward into the master bedroom and land in a crouch.

His powerful hands would grip the massive carpet on which Fox was starting to walk off of and as he started his retreat, he would pull the carpet from beneath him hopefully causing him to fall forward onto his stomach.

"YOU AIN'T GOING NO WHERE PUNK!"

Tres would leap forward towards the hopefully fallen Fox in an attempt to grab his right ankle with his right hand and in one powerful swing he would whip Fox's body around like a rag doll in an attempt to slam him through the bed post and onto the bed.

A b***h IS ABOUT TO GET RAPED

NOHOMO

Tres would attempt to climb into the bed with fox in preparation to give the most brutal pillow fight of all time.

Usage of that fist would be foolish, yet he was fully capable in wielding his metallic limb.

Floosh!

The waterbed broke their fall, its contents thrashing about wildly within the rubber mattress. Inevitably, the rubber punctured and spilled forth its liquid stuffing all over the battlefield. However, for at least a few seconds, their ground was chaotic and unstable. As the mattress absorbed the force of their fall, it “rolled” in waves beneath them.

The captain’s window of escape was diminishing before his eyes, and he had to act now. With all the sloshing and moving going on under him, Dash bent his knees so that his feet were somewhat planted into the mattress and thrust his hips upwards, timing it with the rolling “waves” of the water mattress to pitch Darious forward and off balance. Simultaneously, He swung his right arm which was bent into an elbow, hard to Darious’s left. He’d either to either strike him in the side of the head (if he fell forward on top of him) or hit him in the ribs (if he tried to catch himself with his arms). Regardless, Dash’s objective was to use the rotation of his body to slam into his off balance opponent and cause the devil to roll off to his right (Dash’s left).

Dash wasn’t going to give the guy a chance to unsheathe his wrist blades and go all berserk on him.

Ok, so the Wine Cellar can wait a little more.

''Woah!'' -Fwoomp!-

The carpet beneath him had been pulled, and he fell onto his stomach. This was inevitable. He wanted to get onto his feet fast, but Tres was already on the move, catching his leg/ankle before getting on a knee, at least. But with one arm? there is no denying that this guy was on some serious steroids.

''huh?!-- shiiiiiiiiiiit!!

-CROOOMP!!-

Fox crashed through the bed post, being tossed like a rag doll. His body would roll backwards over his left shoulder, but it'd also bounce in mid-roll. Because, well, it was a bed. That little bounce made him get one knee and a foot planted on the bed, almost as if he did it automatically. Another thing. After Fox rolled over his shoulder, he caught a glimpse of one of the bed post's pieces. A fair chunk of wood, since it was torn in half.

Tres Ecstuffuan Wrote:

What the st? Sieg's son was either being humorous, or he simply swings the other way. Pillow fight? Fox doesn't want to get laughed at. What the hell? This troubled Fox. He wanted to tell Sieg what kind of st his son was into. That's if Sieg didn't transcend into heaven or something.

--

So as Tres clung in, Fox would grab the bed sheet/blanket with his right hand and swing/toss it upwards and towards Tres. Not only to block Tres's vision completely, but so that Tres gets somewhat tangled up in it. Should buy Fox some time.

Immediately after tossing the blanket, Fox would scoop the Bed Post piece with his left hand and jump off the bed, over the east side of it.

There'd be a table sitting behind him, with a telephone on it. So Fox caught it with the right arm, ripped it from the line and slowly began edging towards the balcony, sight locked on Tres of course...

By the time Fox hit the bed and bounced Tres had his right foot planted on the end of the bed frame and his right hand around the upper end of the other bed post. His eyes stared daggers of hate at Tres as the thoughts of what Fox had done to his mother years before and the desire to embarrass the mother ********. To Tres this was a blood fued.

CRRRRSSSH

With his natural strength that could easily be mistaken for roid rage he would snap off the other long bed post in a Ice pick right hand grip and would use the make-shift wooden club to knock away the blanket at it came in a wave to cover the massive warrior. As Tres moved he would shout,

"You can't escape!", at Fox who now lept from the bed.

Wrote: Fox would scoop the Bed Post piece with his left hand and jump off the bed--

Tres would use his massive meaty legs to leap after him during Fox's jump. His incredible power would allow him to catch up. During the move Fox would have his back partially to Tres and Tres would attempt to take the opportunity to attempt to snatch up Fox's hair or neck with his left hand, or whatever was most readily available and snatch it back towards himself.

If the grab worked, Fox would suddenly feel his head be snapped back hard towards the ground while his body lept forward. This would cause his feet to come forward while his head came back, bringing his back to the ground with a loud smash .

Tres would land behind Fox to his right with his knees on the ground at the foot of the east side of the bed. He would upon landing on his knees attempt to go all Psycho on his a** and attempt to stab at Fox's face with the broken end of the right hand bed post in an attempt to Jam the sharp jagged end into his eyes and blind the warrior.

It would be one quick jab and then he would stand, letting go of the warriors head. He would look down on the kickboxer with a grim expression like that of a corrupt lawman beating the piss out of an innocent citizen.

Tres was angry in a way that only ******** with a mans mother could cause.

It was easy to understand him calling roid rage.

His eyes would catch a flash of movement and he would react accordingly. As the hand pressed against his body, his left hand shot up and pushed against the outside of Athan's right arm as he performed a swim move. To help assist with the sliding, he would turn his torso ever so slightly so the arm would brush off his body and his movement would continue unimpeded.

WHUMP!!!

Now Athan's right arm would be trapped between both of their bodies as Urarha's arms wrapped around the man's body. Flexing his arms as he locked in his grip, he would continue the move as is, the swing of the sword avoided.

HEITA HUG

As the energy would race into his opponent, Urarha would plant his feet underneath his opponent as his legs bent. Lifting with his arms and thrusting his hips upwards as he lifted and locked out his legs. He would tilt his body slightly to the right and...

Now Urarha had a bit of a problem on his hands. Athan had never really intended to stop the Lieutenant, that was too much to ask for even Athan at this stage. After all, the initial rate of speed was meant to hit Athan when he was in mid-swing, just bringing the sword from his left side to his right side. Slowing down that much wasn't going to really change the fact that he still was going to have the pommel of a sword smashed into his temple, since the guy had never really addressed the problem of Athan's left hand, and even with his vision problems, it was pretty hard to miss a guy when he was right up in his grill and Athan was just trying to smash him in the head with a pommel, and not the blade of his sword.

But, assuming Urarha had somehow managed to keep his feet, and had the wherewithall to wrap his arms around Athan, he'd run into another bit of a roadblock.

Athan's right arm had slipped downwards slightly from the impact. The resulting pinning put Athan's right arm across his own torso, lining it up almost perfectly with the right elbow of Urarha's. Without much else to do when they were so close together, Athan clamped down on that elbow.

And when the million volts surged through Athan's body, all of his muscles contracted spontaneously.

"RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"

It would have been a cry of effort, but Athan didn't have to exert any sort of will. The electricity took care of everything as the muscles in Athan's forearm forced his right hand to grip even tighter to the metal arm of his opponent. Hell, if there had been nothing but bone there he probably would have just crushed the joint into dust, such was the power of his grip. The muscles in his shoulder and back strained to extend his arm, and the full potential of Athan's extreme muscle density was unleashed without so much as a thought.

The force exerted was enough to basically tear an arm clean out of its socket, and it was on full bore for three to five seconds, or however long Urarha's battery stayed functioning before that arm was basically ripped free or bent in half on Athan's rock hard, incredibly pained abdomen.

Sure, if Urarha could pull the body slam off despite the intense pressure on his arm, more power to him. But the right crosses were probably little more than a dream.

As for Athan, his nervous system was too fried for the time being to really mount a decent defense.

It was a bitter sort of irony. In fear of the knives Lucid sought to put his strength and magic into bringing Kael down fast. In fear of the ice he'd use to do that, Kael was driven to bring steel to bear. Both fighters felt endangered, and so-

Lucid went to retreat from where he'd slammed Kael into the wall, but a problem in the "get away and throw a kick" plan came up real quick. Mr. Freeze tried to back away, and Batman here just didn't let go. See, Kael wasn't a fan of grabbing things and just ripping them up like a few other entrants loved to do more than anything else, but he certainly wasn't afraid to get up close and personal. No, body blows didn't come with the disorientation of a concussion, but slamming into the wall had put the air out of him for the moment. In combination with the repeated body hits, his legs were more than just weak at the moment. Standing around wobbly-kneed waiting to be hit wasn't really his style.

Setto paced back and Kael stumbled forward, using the handful of dreadlocks to help pull himself along, gritting his teeth and growling as he went. His right arm tugged too- but that didn't get him any help being pulled along, only changed the motion from stabbing into the deltoid to twisting his blade in it, prying inside the muscle almost like a crowbar until the point was "forward" more than downward, and Kael pushed it in, driving the point out the other side. Bleeding was okay, but muscle damage was the focus. That was good for icicles in a way, since the alternative was stabby-stabbity-stab-stab, but very bad for use of that limb.

Kael didn't really want to wreck the guy, except that gabby mouth a bit, but he was rather interested in removing his ability to fight. The deltoid, being at the base of the shoulder was rather important for the arm as a whole, specifically rotating it. If he could grit the pain it wouldn't stop him using his hand, or things like that, but actually lifting his arm right to reach out and grab something might be difficult as Kael made the few short motions to go from badly injuring the muscle to completely wrecking it.

Stilleto blades didn't cut much, but they were absolutely ideal for causing maximum harm in a stab.

Which is why one went so far as to assume what came next was Setto reaching up with only his right arm, and not the left hindered left, at the swordsman who was latched onto him.

Rather than the effects of the kick, Setto would have sheer proximity on his side, needing only to reach up over Kael's arm and slam the gauntlet right into his face. As a punch, the spacing wasn't right for much strength, snapping into Kael's cheek bone as he tried to turn his eye away.

But it was so much more than a punch.

The cold had numbed the hit, and almost stopped Kael crying out at the hooks, but nothing stood to stop him screaming as all of the sudden he heard bits of his face start to riiiip.

There were no words.

"GGRHAAAAAAAAAUUUUGHHHHK-!"

Instinct snapped in as hooks ripped into bits of skin and he yanked his face away, making it worse as the hooks drew across first his cheek and then ear, coming away covered in little dots of skin and painted red. In the path it had followed, nothing was left but a ragged red strip, the blood quickly welling out obscuring what skin might have been there, running in a stream down his face and neck.

Oh... ah, ********>

The voice. That goddamn voice, he didn't even know what it was saying though he could hear icicles talk, know it was his voice. Pain welled up and poured over him from the ruined track of sensitive flesh, but it was the shock produced that stopped him dead, weakly releasing Setto and panting while sensation and thought seemed to engulf him in bursts, wave after wave.

I... this isn't good.

Numbly he stumbled backward right up until his back hit the wall again, support holding him up like a scarecrow, right eye staring forward only half-seeing. His arms slowly fell toward the wall, as if feeling to make sure it was there. The dagger hung in his right hand, pulled out more by the guard than his grip, ready to clatter to the floor at a good swat.

What happ- no... it's... s**t. Fix your head kid.

Powerful, terrible waves of pain started to wash down, involuntarily causing him to bury the injured side of his face against the gorget in attempt to press it to his shoulder. He started to really feel the pain as all of the sudden his mind started to return and he realized just how damn much that hurt, roaring like a lion over the threatening growling of his beaten torso. He had to bite down on it, but even that wasn't enough. No, he had to eat this up. Fire, following the ice, working it's way into his head- as the pain rolled in he burned it as fuel for emotion, stoking up the fire, as his eyes started to blink and focus consciously once more.

He grit his teeth.

And smiled.

Adjusting himself from the aftermath of their collision, Darious took a fierce punch into the side of his head. Dash's intentions were might wise, attempting to avoid the savage priest at the moment. Unable to maim him, Darious was more upset that he evaded one bloody event between them. Unsheathing his wrist blades, the eyes of Darious glared with deep intensity. With a bruise slowly developing in the hit area, he was driven by his fury. Dash was going to need alot more might to subdue this man. Licking his lips, a craze look was directed at him.

The final blow to influence Dash would be something that surely would get an instant reaction from him and hopefully spark more aggression into the fellow Captain. It took all of Urarha's strength, his muscles flexing in every part of his body as he lifted the 400+ lb man off his feet and slammed him down on his head. With the lifting of Athan's body, his own weight would come to bear on his own arm, and thus the massive grip that he had on Urarha's arm wouldn't be as solid as he hoped for. You know seeing as with both of their bodies were smashed together on that arm, he would be able to use the muscle to full capacity. But it didn't mean that his grip wasn't still tremedously fierce.

So after slamming him down and pulling his arm free, he would find that part of his gauntlet battery pack had been destroyed in the grip of the large man. So letting the grip remain on the weapon, he would yank his arm free, his bare knuckles (wrapped in gauze mind you) would come slamming down onto Athan's face over and over again.

Wait, what the heck am I doing. The guy is pretty much incapacitated and wont stop me if I....

He would quickly shift Athan into a sitting position before jumping down on the man and wrapping his arms and legs around him and pulling back. He would put the immobile man in an RNC, his massive biceps moving to crush Athan's windpipe.

Fists rained down on his face, but Athan didn't seem to register any pain. Blood began to pool on the floor, his mouth was filled with the stuff, he was certain he had lost a few teeth if he could even feel that part of his face anymore.

Can't feel anything.

But his eyes remained open, and eventually the numbness gave way to cognizance, and Athan became greatly aware of what he was going through. His entire body was sore from the shock, his right hand was holding onto something small, something unimportant. He discarded it by just releasing his grip on the thing. It was all just blurring together into one beating. If he hadn't suffered worse before, he probably would be out cold. But no, he was Athan Cole, he was a tank made flesh. Even though he couldn't stop the hands from raining down, he could take it. He could take it 'til the guy got tired.

C'mon, focus.

And then the fists stopped. Some hands went to his shoulders, presumably to pull Athan up into a sitting position for some sort of maneuver.

Just one part of your body. Just focus on moving one goddamn limb.

Urarha didn't get any further than that.

As Athan's upper body was being lifted he suddenly shot to life, if only on one side of his body. If only with one arm. He was still physically incapacitated, but the Arm of the Dreamless Sleeper, that arm was both his own and a manifestation of his spirit. That arm could move even before the rest of his body could. Urarha wouldn't ever see it coming.

Somewhere in the process of being lifted up, Athan's hand latched onto Urarha's throat. Whatever choking force Urarha was hoping to apply with his biceps in the technical hold was nothing compared to the vice-like grip that Athan's one single hand was giving. His head was slumped forward, blood running from his mouth like drool. The rest of his body was as limp as a rag doll, but that one arm was very much alive.

It was only through that chokehold that Athan was able to remain in his seated position, and unlike with the elbow, there wasn't anything on Urarha's neck that was going to be breaking away.

The arm would fling in a downwards arc, due to the way Fox was thrown, supposedly catching a fair amount of Tres's left cheek/jaw, tearing it open or something. A bad enough cut, like's the Joker's cheek. Except this one would probably be long: from the ear down to the lips.

It may look like a coincidence, but it was basic instinct. Fox didn't even know where his hand was going, he just hoped it caught something, and you can sort of tell where someone's head is placed.

This wasn't a stab, so Fox would try to keep the piece on his left hand.

Still...

-THUD-

Fox would hit the floor like a botched Pro Wrestling fall, or rather an exaggerated "sell" {in Pro Wrestling}. Fox would exactly fall just below the neck, the very top part of the back, so Fox would let his body roll backwards along with that fall, ending up on his "fours". His left eye {or right, depending on where would tres stand at this point} peeking on Tres's legs as he panted.

''Hh.... -I hope that made him flinch at least- Hh... hh...''

At this point, Fox was certain that things were going to get uglier, and he wasn't enjoying that thought much.

3/17 And you already want to kill each other.

I should have slayed you!

In mid air the fox had managed a downward swing through mostly instinct before Tres was able to make his own strike. Though Fox had a good understanding of the human body and didn't have to think much when attacking it. Though striking out of instinct even for men like fox usually resulted in slight failure.

Tres would react instinctualy as well when the downward strike came towards the left side of his face. He would tilt his face away from the inaccurate strike, receiving only a shallow cut along his steely cheek bones. He didn't even realize it happened and smiled, thinking that the opponent was flailing around in sheer terror

Tres would still thrust the sharp end of the broken bed post into the opponents face immediately upon landing. He would find it hard to defend with his left hand across his chest like that.

The thrust would prove more inaccurate than he intended as the opponent rolled into all fours with his head near his legs. The opponents hair would slip out of his hands as the opponent moved down into position.

Quote:

Street Iai-Do

Tres can draw small sized or smaller weapons quickly, often without the opponent being able to see him arm himself with the weapon. Sieg has several weapons other than the visible ones hidden about his person. This ability allows Tres to reveal a hidden weapon that he had drawn without the opponents knowing during a movement of the hands.[/i]

During the removal of Tres's hands from the opponents hair because of the roll, with a flick of Tres's wrist he would draw a punch knife from his left sleeve. The entire movement would be outside of the opponents vision.

SKISSHH

After seeing the opponent in his position, he would sprawl out so that his chest would land on the opponents upper back and throw a massive falling superman punch with the left hand in an attempt to slam the blade into the opponents lower spine. Tres's right hand would end up around the opponents left side.

79Lucid Red Herring

So somewhere within the fray of being stabbed and ramming good ol’ Elmo into a wall, the front snap kick failed… epically. My usual fashion statement of iced tipped dreadlocks became my worst enemy. I think I hated them more than I hated fire right now. Because they were the lead cause in Kael getting a good glimpse of my face reading…

…OhMyGawdTheTwisting!!!

…OhMyGawdTheTwisting!!!

…OhMyGawdTheTwisting!!!

Fortunately, I managed to get the break I needed. That trusty right of mines ripped the skin off Elmo’s face. Now he really looked like Elmo. I was able to back away, only for a bit. I think he had it in his mind too as I stared deep within his eyes.

Kael could see an intense focus upon him within Lucid’s golden orbs as they reflected his image. Both of them seemed to have the same expression. All the while, Lucid staggered backwards in a bit of a retreat from Kael. It seemed the man wanted to touch his wound as Lucid's right hand was twitching like mad reaching up towards his left shoulder. But, it didn't even pass his waist line. Instead, Lucid drew back his right and seemed to place it on the ready. His breathing hard, focus intense, he seemed to be trying to deal with the pain of his shoulder as much as possible.

Damn… this ain’t good.

The b***d’s got an advantage over me, or so I think. I couldn’t help but ask myself if Kael was hurt more than he led on to believe, but, it wasn’t something I was in a position to determine at this point. Hell, I was having a hard time standing on my own two feet. Not that it was impossible, but, I felt like ripping my left arm off just to stop the pain of that poking stick ripping my muscle. My left arm was practically useless. I could feel the ability to move my fingers. I could possibly even bend my damn forearm. But, it hurt way too bad to think of doing that. So, it hung like a dead limb with blood staining this nice tuxedo. And here, this b***d has the audacity to smile. Just what I wanted! Oh Yay! He smiled!

”That’s more like the tickle me Elmo I know…”

Lucid barely managed to make his words audible for Kael to hear. But somehow the man managed to do so with a smile, bloody teeth and all showing.

Assessing the situation, I’ve got a downed limb and he has the potential to do more damage than normal. Well, this was a hellava stalemate. The only thing I could think of was using my ice for one more good face shot. At this point, I don’t think I could draw enough power to do any major damage right now. But, if I could bait him into using that weapon again, I might be able to draw an opening. He has to be hurt… hurt enough to be exhausted from pain alone just like me. Plus, I’ve gotta make sure that my right hand counts if I use it. Hell, it’s the only working arm I’ve got now. And kicking’s gonna be a b***h. Guess I’ve got no choice then.

Lucid shifted his footing so that his injured left shoulder faced Kael, all bloodied up and everything. The anxiety alone showed much in Lucid as it seemed he was attempting to think his way out of the situation. Though his left leg remained stationary in wait, Lucid’s right leg was fidgeting like hell, a slight spring in his right toe on the ready as he waited.

See what he does… If he’s gonna wait on me, then I’ll have to hit him with something he won’t be able to retaliate from… Either way, the climax was coming soon.

Well. It wasn't a very Elmo like smile. Maybe Kael had plenty of red on his face now, between the stream of blood, all the scrapes that were still going any at all only because head wounds were stubborn like that, and his eyes, but Kael's smile wasn't cheery. The man had about a million smiles for twice as many situations, lying smiles and honest smiles, but in bloodshed he always seemed to favor the wolf's mask.

Hungry. Malevolent. Both truthful, and deceitful.

His mind started back up to speed quickly, ticking away one bit at a time until it caught up to speed, his eyes hovering on Setto, coming more and more to life, though by the tightness around them he was sure as hell still hurting. For a moment, they darted away, further along the wall, but they were back again faster than either of the injured two could move. He had wanted to work at something, but with icicles sitting still and watching him too instead of coming on like the abominable wrecking ball he'd gotten used to these people trying their very hardest to be, backwards wasn't really an option. Despite some misgivings about how it was unexpected, he was just gonna have to make the most of it.

At least he's quieter now.

With that thought, he couldn't help but laugh, and as he laughed, blood on his lips flecked across his front and the ground between them. With one strong, deep breath in- his chest shaking through it as it caused his ribs to ache more, even trying his hardest to ignore it all except for the violent drive he could muster from it. The pain was bad, as much as he knew he could work it if it didn't get worse. The bleeding would start to cause problems if he gave it time enough for it though.

Almost as an after thought, his hand tightened around the dagger again.

Yeah, this is workable.

"Hehk,"

And with that one last chuckle and spatter of blood on the ground he leaned forward and started toward Setto at a rather weak sort of dash. Though his left was now effectively his strong side, Kael came in with it leading, stepping quickly into range and doing nothing else but trying to deliver a jab, about as heavy as he could manage in a jab, at the bridge of icicle's nose. He was watching for what came of that, fully expecting him to block with his icy limb or throw in a counter, while Kael's dagger hand hung low, as if forgotten. It was a reckless tactic, but Kael didn't figure there was much he could do about that.

The punch was more like a pick up line- to let him fish for a reaction, and start things off. As soon as he'd resolved that, he wanted to immediately take a half step in, making a short pumping motion of his right arm to give Lucid's leading thigh a good p***k. A stab, really, but he was focusing on getting the dagger in and out quickly rather than doing much damage, followed by simply leaning into it and giving the ice-mage-brawler-fellow a little shove back with his shoulder.

Roen Jaeger Wrote:

6/17

The spade used merely as a distraction made studying Roen's movement even easier, his gigantic sword wafting about giving away every detail of the man's fighting style. Alex would climb the stairs quickly, after all the average stair case was about 20 steps steep and he was clambering 3 at a time, by the time the sword was brought down upon him, he was only a few steps from Roen. He saw the blade coming, but doubted he could duck underneath it, it was a very long blade and the staircase was narrow...not to mention his height, so no. Ducking was not the answer.

CLANG

His spade-free hand came up to guard his head as the blade smashed into him. It did not break the thick plate gauntlet, but the concussive force was something not even Alex's unnaturally thick skin could shrug off. Even with the defensive maneuver Alex was sent hurtling sideways and through the railings. However! as he began to fall, his axe-wielding hand took a wild swing for Roen's legs, hoping to disable the man even as he fell to a painful landing below. The axe barely missed Roen's legs, instead smashing into the staircase below him, cleaving straight through the wooden structure and splitting into the wall it was built into.

Now, this would have 2 effects; 1) cause the floor beneath Roen to crumble, sending him down a floor or two, and 2) Slow down Alex's fall as his axe sliced downwards through the wall, providing a Prince of Persia style descent, which was..quite a spectacle to behold, given the mans build.

82Apocalyptic Pilot

Brendyn stood up from his chair. He had been ready to intervene, but it seemed Athan has managed to stop his opponent from gaining complete control. As the situation stood, Urarha was in a tight spot. He may have been stronger than Brendyn, but it still brought back memories of his fight with Ebris. Once the man had a hold on him, the difference in strength was so significant that he had been effectively helpless. HEUG GAIS won grapples. That was the way of the world.

Ever since his fight, he had been considering potential counters to that problem other than simply not being grappled. His thoughts were on that even then as he walked past his downed teammate and Athan's suffocating foe. He strolled up the stairs and to the railing so that he could better survey the fight.

That arm really is something special.

It was part of what put Athan on equal footing to Ebris, and the danger it presented couldn't be overstated.

83Lucid Red Herring

With Lucid’s right hand on the ready for a strike, it was a bit odd in itself that the man made it look as if he were willing to sacrifice his left arm to damage. But, this wasn’t a strange tactic for Lucid at the least. The detective lunatic was able to think quickly on his feet. He was no brawler, though sometimes his style could take on such an aspect. He was a thinker, even when his ideas made little to no sense when received.

And yet, even with me biding my time to see if this man was more so willing to make me pay for his face, it was reckless to stand here and wait. It was reckless to dive in for the attack. It was reckless to play range. Hell… this whole situation was just damn reckless.

The ice coating Lucid’s right hand succeeded in its complete reformation post shattering upon Kael’s face. The hooks of the gauntlet returned to their normal formation of randomly curving in some jagged form. The gauntlets were simply a manifestation of Lucid’s ice abilities upon entering ice mode. He had no control over how they formed, only that they did in coordination with his Aggressive Energy.

And the only thing I had to go off of, was that my right hand was now the strongest tool in my arsenal at the moment. Joy! At least my right hand is my jack off hand.

…He’s coming…

”Hey Elmo.

Lucid’s anxious right foot braced itself, stopping that springing motion he had within it as he waited. His golden orbs focused on Kael as much as Kael was to him. There was almost an intense layer of tension within the air that could be cut with a bitter knife. Then, Lucid would see Kael’s left hand take the lead. His right seemed to vanish, not really, but Lucid wasn’t focused on his peripheral vision at the moment. All that mattered was his left.

”If someone with multiple personalities threatens suicide....is it considered a hostage situation?”

Now, Lucid had a point in saying this. But, it was definitely meant to be taken as one of the most random comments ever heard in a fight. As he spoke, Lucid changed his leading foot. His left slid across the floor back, only slightly. Then, Lucid stepped in with his right just outside the step of Kael’s lead foot. And there, just in finishing his sentence, Lucid’s forehead met with Kael’s jab.

Blam!

Now his jab hurt like a b***h, far more than a jab should have hurt. Kael would know why this was to be, however, if he was conscious enough to realize what Lucid did. Lucid stepped into the jab before it was fully extended and took the blunt of the accelerating force right to the forehead. Then, he used his legs as a thrust to launch himself within an intensely close range to Kael that they could have head-butted each other should the motion continue. For a second there, Lucid felt the world split in two as his vision shivered a bit.

Schnnikt!

That dagger in Kael’s right hand tore through the tuxedo pants of Lucid’s right leg. It just barely missed impaling him within the thigh. But, it definitely did some damage. It tore into the skin along Lucid’s right, inner thigh and left a nasty cut there. Lucid definitely felt the pain, but it was hard to read within the intensity of his look and that wicked a** crimson grin he had on his face.

Now, I didn’t know how quick Kael was on his feet. But, if I could catch him off guard…

Lucid’s right hand came. Considering it was a jab, Lucid knew Kael could retract his left before Lucid delivered his right, even if he was aiming to strike simultaneously with his right hand. But, that didn’t mean he wouldn’t try anyway. Yes, with that step into to Kael’s jab, Lucid’s right came with such extremity backed behind his right hook, it was nothing short of a haymaker right to the temple of Kael’s face. And if all went according to plan…

Riiiiiiiiiiip!

The hooks of ice would tear into Kael’s right temple and come straight across the bridge of his nose, shattering upon impact and tearing off flesh and skin all the while some of that crimson liquid from his own bleeding wounds would damn near freeze on contact and rip along with it.

”And isn’t it scary that…”

That’s not enough. He’s too @%$∈ close. His knife’s too %#@in close. I need him to back the ******** up, right now! Damnit, if only my left work I could do a beautiful one, two combination… waitaminute…

”Doctors call what they do a ‘practice’?”

Oh, Lucid was hoping that punch landed because he wanted to follow up with something beautiful if it did. Not even managing to fully complete the wild haymaker swing with his right, Lucid used his legs to jerk his torso out of the momentum of the hook. Kael’s knife, in fact, would begin to stretch and tear the hole of Lucid’s tuxedo pants as he moved. His right arm came right back, but not the gauntlet. He brought his elbow upwards aiming for it to meet and smash right back into the center of Kael’s face praying that there was enough force to knock the man off guard. Now, these were definitely powerful swings, but Lucid knew he was hurt. He knew his strength was limited. All he wanted was to make this man feel an equal amount of pain at this point. But, swinging haymakers could be a costly mistake if they missed. Oh God, don’t miss.

Dangerous!

That’s three times in four fights Dash has been hacked up by some sort of blade. An investment in armor was definitely in order come future tournaments.

Having freed himself, Dash rolled to his right and away from Darious before scrambling to his feet just beyond the epicenter of waterbed wreckage. That surprise wrist blade got him good across his chest; another scar for his battle scrapbook. His body was some sort of twisted collage of pain thanks to this damn tournament.

On the way to distancing himself from his foe, he scooped up the discarded shield in his right hand, eagerly seeking the reassuring feel of its weight at his side.

Savoki Sanoci Wrote:

“I heard you let some Women ****** up your suite. Are you their b*h by chance?"

Commence the stare down.

Close enough.

Tension built as Dash’s eyes narrowed into slits. Darious’s caused Dash to shoulder his shield on its harness to momentarily run his right hand through his spiked out blond hair.

Yes, this was one of those moments. Cue kanji and speed lines:

He’d never forgive those scrubs from Raptus Regaliter and that Katie chick.

Never.

“News travels fast.”

Dash said in a surprisingly calm tone.

“And no, I’m nobody’s b***h. But I am recruiting bitches of my own. You interested?”

Dash slid the shield back off his shoulder and gripped it properly in his right hand. The captain was bleeding, drenched, and his stamina steadily waning, but this was far from over. There were still sections of this mansion untouched by their epic struggle.

It was time to get this party started.

"Nah, if I wanted to be somebody b***h, I would be tamed by some sexy vixen. Of course news travels fast, look where we are dude. Enough chit chat I guess, my team is expecting me to return with a Captain in a near death state. I hope you understand."

Speaking in a taunting yet menacing voice, his trace of brutality was paused once they exchange words. He wasn't letting him get away after stabbing him in the a, believing the ****** violated him by going for such an area. Finishing their little conversation, he stared at the bright red sleigh next to him. Springing his scimitar like blade from the forearm section, he performed a clever like chop with considerable might to hack the front of his transportation to the Brown estate.

Gripping the front where usually dogs were located, he flipped it around to display a custom shield of his own. With his fatigue lowered by his destructive combo, Darious charged forward with the Christmas edition shield towards Dash, grasping it with his left hand. This match proceeded to a shield bashing battle, dashing as the adrenaline was flowing quickly.

This party was starting alright, beginning it with a vicious ram of his new shield for the center of his adversary. Although Dash's shields seem more durable, this wasn't going to stop Darious from attempting something to inflict more damage.

86Oncle Roen

And through the railings Alex went! However, Roen would not be able to savor the sweet satisfaction of success just yet. Pulling Hræðilegr up defensively as was instinct, he barely had the sense about him to take notice of the axe that had barely missed his legs. He didn't even want to imagine what would have happened if it struck his legs, but lo and behold, that axe would embed itself into the stairs beneath as well as the subsequent wall. " Uh-oh.. " Ah, two words that said it all. Alex was taking the stairs, and Roen by extension, with him. Oh hell no! Roen scrambled! Turning around and pushing off the weakening support beneath him, Roen dove to the landing, his legs dropping out from underneath and Hræðilegr following suite as he released the mighty blade to grab the ledge. Both Alex and the World Splitter would hit the Foyer below, but the Devil was loathe to follow.

Lifting his leg and throwing it over, Roen would be quick about the task of hefting his weight onto the ledge and rolling over and onto his back. But dammit, Nigeralo. The crossguard dug into his hip and forced the Devil to push up and into a sitting position. But ******** it, he got that far, might as well go the whole way and rise up and to his full stature. Using the separate railings for support, Roen leaned over and looked down and towards the settling dust for any sign of Alex's form. No rest for the wicked.

His hands moved underneath of Athan's shoulders lifting the man into the air as he got ready to.....

"GAAHHHHHHH CAUUUFFF CAUUUUFFFF"

A rather large hand shot up and grabbed ahold of his neck. Urarha couldn't believe the man could still move after all of that.. he couldn't fathom it.

What do I have to do to get you to stay down.

The thought raced through his head as he released his grip on Athan's shoulders and let him fall back onto his back as his own hands came up to grasp hold of Athan's arm as his neck flexed at the same time. His arms fingers tried prying off the fingers in vain as he couldn't get any air into his lungs. Now yeah much like any boxer he could go a few moments without air, but that didn't matter much when you panicked while being choked.

His eyes bulging from their socket, his light gray eyes would come to rest on that face... the one he had punched over and over again and the man still moved. It was almost like Athan was mocking him.

"ARGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!"

His anger was bellowed loud and would echo throughout the foyer as he tilted his weight backwards, his left foot raised off the ground and came crashing down on Athan's face as he told the man to...

KISS HIS CONVERSE!!

+

The results would end with Athan's head crashing into the floor itself with enough force to crater the ground beneath him. He didn't have any energy left after that to use. His gauntlets worked in conjunction with one another and with one destroyed he had no way to conserve and control his energy.

And so it began anew.

The devil rushed forth with his makeshift shield raised. Dash recognized a shield duel when he saw one. A sadistic grin made its way across his face. He was more than happy to oblige. If the Angry shield were a sentient being, shield bashing contests would be the ONLY thing that didn’t piss it off.

Somewhere in a cafe, a young, adventurous kid shot up from his seat. His huge brown eyes shimmering as he watched the ensuing battle.

“DASH! BLOCK THAT SHIELD BASH!”

CLANG!

Angry Face met sleigh hide. Dash saw that the guy still had that blade as well, so he made sure to keep himself protected behind his barrier. The impact caused slight vibrations throughout the room. They were all up close and personal again, and Dash’s eyes met those of Darious. He could clearly read the hellish insanity that burned within them.

Yeah, this b*****d definitely needed Jesus in addition to whatever crazy deities they worshipped here on Gaia.

Back in the cafe:

“GOOD! NOW HIT HIM WITH A SHIELD BASH!”

Dash dug his feet into the ground and pushed hard against the other man. He’d try and shove Darious back towards the wall opposite, and was certain his foe would try the same. It was a duel of strength, a tug-o-war with shields.

Who would prevail?

[10]

89Savoki Sanoci

Tremendous force occurred when the shields instantly collided against each other. Darious was quite eager; however he refused to lose in a test of might. The sleigh was a suitable makeshift shield, but it lacked the durability to unleash the full potential behind it. With his offense defended, the sadist priest braced himself as Dash began to shove him closer to the wall.

Eyes with sinister thoughts lingered, literally pissed as this scrub was capable of using his shield effectively. It was definitely going to be a close battle between them. Although he was being pushed closer towards the wall, the captain was being forced to use all his strength to even force him. Being dragged along, Darious Kaiq was preparing for the worse against him. Shifting his weight, he began to put a lot of effort to slam Dash back. Chuckling, he was going to make this foe work to position him onto the wall.

"It'll take more than this to defeat me!"

90Designated Hero

Athan was just limp for the most part, trying to pull himself up to a sitting position by pulling on Urarha's neck. It was a lot to ask of a guy to try and hoist up a four hundred pound man, and Athan should have known it wasn't going to be treated too kindly. Despite all of the blood, all of the swelling on his right cheek, and the constant thudding in his temple that Athan could only assume was his heartbeat, he managed to crack a smile.

Just before a sole was planted square onto his face with the force of the punches he had barely weathered in the first place. His vision went black for a split second, and his grip loosened on Urarha's neck. The only thing saving Athan's head from being smashed like a melon was the fact that the floor gave out before his head did.

In fact, the force radiating outwards caused the entire floor to cave in underneath Athan, allowing the big guy to survive the blow without going into a damn coma.

So the floor went out from underneath Athan, and the big guy was left to the mercy of gravity before Judgment wore off, the black 'armor' sloughing off of his upper arm like oil. He only retained enough immediate strength in his arm to make sure that he wasn't going alone. And unless Urarha was going to hold the both of them up in the interior, Athan, his new friend, and the sword in his left hand were heading down into the Wine Cellar.

[12.5/17]

91AT da Great

He sure as heck wasn't going to keep both men up on interior as the ground gave way to the force of his kick. He would attempt to find a hand hold in which to save them from failing.... but he hadn't expected that to happen and thus as he and Athan tumbled down left the ground floor, he would wave his arms wildly as his fingers slipped off objects. And down they tumbled to the Wine Cellar.

BOOM

His massive form landed on the floor below with an explosion of dust and..broken stairs. Landing with bent knee's Alex still stood, the resistance the stairs had put up whilst he was chopping through them on the way down was enough to ensure he would escape relatively unscathed from the fall.

Suddenly his opponents sword landed besides him, it's shining blade now dulled by the gathering dust and debris.

"Hup!" dropping his axe for a second, Alex, using the cover of dust to remain undetected, bent down and picked up a particularly large piece of wood/plaster debris from the floor. It was about four foot wide and five inches thick. Quite thick for a wall but it was a mansion afterall. He couldn't see much due to the dust, but he knew roughly from where he fell, and he was sure he could make out Roen's shadow..just about.

Roen Jaeger Wrote:

Should Roen go looking for his sword, he would find that it, like Alex, had disappeared. A strange trail was left in the debris, as if the sword hadn't been picked up, but rather dragged behind where Alex had went.

93Psychofish

It's not enough.

He could feel his body working off of adrenaline and sheer will, power and pressure. It wasn't even something you could call stable, but it was strength nonetheless. It was his stubborness keeping his body directed, and a raging force like the Fury itself clouding his mind in a bloody haze and making his muscles pump. Maybe it was a little gift left from the Knight.

Kael felt contact, a gratifying pressure against his fist. But Lucid started coming forward, and he kept coming forward. The saner part of Kael's mind lit up in danger.

But that monster laughed.

It's not enough.

In slow motion one could see his arm continue for a moment after Lucid's head had struck and moved past it before it started to retract, the dagger darting at the leg and sliding into the pant, stopping as the icy fist reached the finish line, Kael's left trailing miles behind.

Pain exploded.

Exploded was the only word one could use as the haymaker-hook slammed into Kael's head and drove it back, snapping sharp-enough to produce a bit of whiplash with a haze of frosted, turning spatter into crimson dust in it's wake. Where it had struck, there was no skin this time- muscle, more bone, and mostly blood. His mind rattled, the world bouncing as though a world had scooped it up in a jar and shaken to provoke it to life. Pain. Pain. His mind locked furiously onto two basic commands in the chaos- to hurt, and to fight.

He screamed in pain as the part of his head going up in flame screamed for entirely other reasons. Somehow, his eyes didn't close.

It's not enough. It's not enough.

And something went wrong. Something stopped.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHK"

When the hit had blown Kael's head back, his shoulders had rolled rolled with it, the left rising and right lowering. Even as he recovered from the hit, his right foot sliding wider to stabilize with more pain roaring in from his side, his head starting to rotate back at the enemy.

Kael's jab had stopped in it's course back, retreating overtop of Lucid's attacking arm, almost like some reverse-counter and lowered, locking the armpit down over the very base of the forearm, against the elbow, mindless of the assuredly further hooks digging into his clothing and tickling his armpit with an icy dust of pain. More pain. Pain that was everywhere. The elbow twisted up and wrapped under and across the icy forarm, leather gloved hand grabbing on the best it could. Kael's hips slammed into Lucid as he tried to turn, the incidental motion and the grab working together to hinder, if not completely stop the motion Lucid was trying to continue with. For the merest fraction of a second it seemed as if Kael had simply grabbed onto Lucid and thrown himself into him in desperation not to fall.

But as the elbow struck Kael's left eye and the right came to bare, red as hell itself, anyone to look through Lucid's eyes would have had to ask them self if there truly was only one madman in the room.

It's not enough. It's not it's not enough it's enough not it'snotenoughnotenoughnot-

Time seemed to stretch only in the slow motion reals taken after and the extreme state of mind created by the overflow of emotion and instinct on the fighters. Kael reeled from the first hit, caught the arm and was knocked by the next, the dagger already pulling cleanly back out in the same linear path it had followed in. Immediately Kael pushed down on Lucid's arm, causing more hooks to just barely tickle his face, leaving speckles of frozen blood from his eye down across the scars already carved deep into the side of his face, the entire left side of which seemed to be nothing but one large pile of injuries, old and new, now.

And as he did, he made a sharp, conservative right hook to sharply contrast Lucid's wide and powerful one, following the quickest course of sinking the dagger into the bicep of the captured arm, and twisting the blade in and down along the length of the bicep as his arm continued to curl with the course of the hook, sinking nearly 4 inches in, carving out a path of pain and blood with steel.

The scream exploded into something that was every bit as much laughter.

"GYAAAAAAKHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHKAHAHA"

Athan had seen it once before, the last time a man had shredded Kael's face to nothing but a stream of blood with ice, if in a much, much different manner now. It was almost certainly lucky he wasn't here now to see once more, Kael falling closer than ever to the precipice of going utterly berserk.

He'd push the dagger in, and if he missed, the arm would simply decend into a series of wild, small stabs at the area of his shoulder and bicep, desperate to sink the blade into a bit of the muscle he'd captured at his own expense in the rising bloodcraze, crowding his logic and preservative senses aside, continuing until he'd made a worth while purchase, only then stopping to make the most of it.

Pain was king, and in it's kingdom lurked the most desperate and dangerous of beasts and madness.

" What th--? " Alas, that was as far as the Devil went with that trail of words. With an explosion of debris, the piece of mansion wall that Alex chucked hit the metal railings Roen was leaning over. Flinching and raising his arms to protect himself, the massive chunk exploded in a flurry of wood shards and Sheetrock, effectively causing Roen to back away and hack from the intake of dust within his open mouth. Argh, that b***d! Still up and about and wily as ever! Moving into the other room while nearly coughing up a lung, Roen ran his fingers through his hair and began shaking his head viciously to get all the dust out of it. Ugh, his clothes! His coat! He would have to rip the entire interior out of it, remove the chainmail, wash the ****** (by hand!) and resew everything back together! And his World Splitter. Where in DeSeer's name did his World Splitter? Walking out of the room he had previously entered and looming over the now mangled railing, Roen gazed down once again - but this time it was clear. Alex was gone, the World Splitter was gone, and the tracks led away to the entrance way, or so the Devil summarized.

Ah, so the tin-can had a brain! No use lugging around all of that weight in an enclosed area such as this. Yes, take it back outside. Force confrontation. Roen had to hand it to the poor b*****d. Walking past the stair case and around the column in the back ground, Roen walked across and threw his leg over the metal railing, quickly pulling himself over and back onto the stair case once again. From there it was back down the steps, over the debris, and back to the door leading to the gardens.

He walked - slowly. It didn't matter how prepared Alex got - the Gardens were Fodder's stomping grounds.

Ah, he even had the audacity to think Fox was a failure. This man was perfect.

No, srsly. Fox would fall, right. But he'd roll backwards. The slash was nice, but it didn't even make Tres flinch. Even if it went down in an downward arc, and it carried a nice momentum from the speed in which he was falling at. And because it was out of terror, you can say the was actual emotion put behind it. And if you follow Bruce Lee's philosophy like Sieg probably does, well...

Bruce Lee Wrote:

Even though Fox's arm would naturally flail about, except he'd think about using his left offensively just a second before hitting the ground. But shallow cut it is. No flinching either. Fox would get a smile from Tres, instead. How bad a**. It WAS an inaccurate strike, after all, so nothing great can be expected, save for sheer luck. But ''failure'' is a strong word.

Let's not forget, Fox would roll backwards, making Tres's grasp slip off. Tres never got to grab Fox's hair though, instead, he had grabbed the collar of his coat, which would technically be the hoodie. {Fox is wearing the same thing my avatar is, except he has Ashera's panties wrapped around his right arm, around the bicep like an armband -- IT IS ONLY A TRIBUTE(?)}

So yeah. Because he rolled backwards, Tres's stab with the piece of the bed post would graze the right side of Fox's head, above near the ear, causing a small superficial cut on it.

-fft!-

It felt like a quick sting. Puzzled, Fox shifted his eyes from the floor, to Tres's feet/legs, wondering to himself as soon as he felt blood trickling down his ear.

Well, he had to do something now. Fox's eyes were locked on Tres's legs, waiting on a reaction to explode. Fox was smelling danger, so his adrenaline started to flow. Fox would see Tres's legs dropping, going backwards as if it was a sprawl. What else could it be? Tres was obviously going to fall on Fox.

"GO!" Fox yelled in his mind when he noticed Tres's legs dropping back. Fox reacted quickly, as he was going to react to anything. Fox would do a sit-out escape, his own way, Jiu Jitsu-ish.

Warning:

Big block'o'text below.

In 'simply put' words, it's basically when the person beneath the person sprawling, would slip out and around from underneath the person on top. In this case, Tres was sprawling onto Fox, so Fox wanted to slip out with a Sit-out, BEFORE Tres had actually landed on his back. He had to do in a slightly different way from the original way, because Fox didn't have time to go with procedures like ''set your left foot up first...'' blah blah. Fox's right knee would slide all the way through to the opposite direction as his right buttcheek drops to the ground. This would make both of Fox's legs lie flat on the ground, even the rear one as he slides the right one through. He would basically slide himself forward, in a slightly clockwise wise motion to keep himself close to Tres. Fox's torso now erect, no longer in the knife's path. this motion would have dragged fox's left leg as he was intending to bring it forward eventually and get his left foot on the floor. Now, he would be the one on Tres's right side, and he could take Tres's back from there. Fox's right arm remained close to Tres's right, in case Tres wanted to lash out at a right handed attack, Fox's own would be there for whatever. That's if Tres's right arm was going to be on the ground

If you knew Grappling, you'd know what went on.

Tres's right side would be pretty accessible. Which is he why he chose not to mount Tres's back from the get-go. Rather, he would lunge the sharp bed post/stake with his left hand deeply at Tres's ribs. Possibly puncturing a lung or not. Fox didn't really want to go for kills in the tournament, which is retarded that people are trying to kill each other here. He only wanted to do some damned good damage, and goddammit, since Tres is literally trying to go for a kill. Unless you think knives are harmless toys...

A counter sprawl to a sprawl. Yes, this is supposed to happen before Tres gets an arm around Fox. This is why Fox would manage to find enough space to Sit Out with his knees.

Worst case scenario for Fox would be Tres grabbing Fox's left leg or nicking it with the knife, but the grab possibility is a unlikely since Fox dragged that leg forward in fluidly with the sit-out motion, and Tres would probably fall on his chest too.

After stabbing or impaling or whatever, Tres, Fox would get the piece back out, which he will probably get hit or punished for, and roll forward to the direction his left knee was aiming, which was like Northwest.

CLANG!

Shields collide once again, sending vibrations between the two warriors. Like butting rams they went at it. The contest could have gone on for several minutes as either man was too stubborn to give ground to the other. Unfortunately, they did not have such an abundance of time. Dash had to break this stalemate.

Savoki Sanoci Wrote:

“I know.”

Waiting for another strong push from his opponent, Team ALL b*****d’S captain seized the opportunity to make his move. He shifted his weight onto his lead leg (left) and rolled counter clockwise off of Darious to his right, like an NBA player rolling to pass a defender. With the 360 degree motion, Dash attempted to position himself a step behind the devil offset slightly to Darious’s left with their backs to each other.

“HAAAAAAAAA-“

Not wasting a moment, the man followed through with his rotation to deliver a back kick with his left foot, aimed at the small of Darious’s back. The familiar green flicker of green ki raced down Dash’s leg to add a little extra ‘umph’ to the blow. If successful, the attack would pack enough force to send his foe forward and into the large window against the back wall.

However, there wasn’t enough power behind the kick to knock the man through it, Dash didn’t have the time to draw up adequate energy nor the momentum. That’s okay; there were still other alternatives to explore. Like for instance:

“TORIYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”

Another shield bash! Actually, this was more of a shield charge. It was possible that the garden below would be receiving a couple more visitors.

Quote:

"You need emotional Content...NOT ANGER!"

Tres ecstuffuan was not the same man as Sieg ecstuffuan. Tres used anger as a weapon. Sieg enjoyed the fight but Tres enjoyed victory. Where Sieg may stop Tres would destroy himself in order to achieve his goals. Even if he had to succumb to insanity nothing was going to stop Tres Ecstuffuan from becoming the god of combat.

Quote:

Even though Fox's arm would naturally flail about, except he'd think about using his left offensively just a second before hitting the ground. But shallow cut it is. No flinching either. Fox would get a smile from Tres, instead. How bad a**. It WAS an inaccurate strike, after all, so nothing great can be expected, save for sheer luck. But ''failure'' is a strong word.

Let's not forget, Fox would roll backwards, making Tres's grasp slip off. Tres never got to grab Fox's hair though, instead, he had grabbed the collar of his coat, which would technically be the hoodie. {Fox is wearing the same thing my avatar is, except he has Ashera's panties wrapped around his right arm, around the bicep like an armband -- IT IS ONLY A TRIBUTE(?)}

Blood.

Tres could smell it leak from his opponent and that exhilarated him like some sort of wild beast. As a warrior, he knew the scent well and it told him that he finally had a fight on his hands. He did not want Fox to b***h out. He wanted to go blow for blow the hard way as to earn his mothers vengeance.

Quote:

If you knew Grappling, you'd know what went on.

The sit out. It was an excellent move to make that Tres admittedly would not have thought of. Fox was a fighter who was not to be underestimated. Tres's knife holding hand would slam down into the carpeted floor, missing the back target that was now facing Tres immediately after the sit out. He would post up on his arms rather than landing on his chest. The right hand, holding the right bed post in its Ice pick grip, with the fist against the ground, would end up against Fox's back after having attempted to grab around his waist in the sprawl.

Though because it was just the right hand holding the post, it would not prevent Fox from sliding forward and arriving on Tres's right side. Having missed the attempt to sprawl on top of the opponent, Tres would push his body back using his arms and arrive on his knees with his hips down low and his torso erect. His training guided his body without thought and he was already prepared to perform a wrestlers standing technique.

Fox would go for a stab At Tres's side. Because Tres had moved backwards after missing the sprawl, The sharp end of the post would jab into his right deltoid or right shoulder. The leather jacket covering the thick muscle would hold the jagged shard from piercing too deeply into his body, but blood would still drip from the wound. Tres thought little of the damage as it would not stop him from crushing this boy's skull once he got hold of it.

Tres's eyes quickly shifted to look Fox deeply in the eye once the wood thrusted into his right shoulder. It was a red hot gaze that said 'Come on, Hurt me More, it doesn't matter, I will not quit coming at you'.

Explosively Tres would perform the wrestlers stand, while flipping the bed post in his right hand into a normal grip. He would then chase after the rolling Fox who would be rising from his roll, he would attempt to stab his right bed post into his abdomen.

"RA!", he would shout.

His stance was naturally squared up with his right foot forward and his left hand on guard with the punch knife ready to strike.

98Lucid Red Herring

Somehting’s wrong.

As I think about the situation, I felt success in my actions. Lets see…

Rearrange Kael’s face to look more muppet-like. Check.

Retaliate with my back the %$#@ up elbow. Check.

Make random and unknowing wise-cracks at Kael to get into his head. Check.

But, for some reason, I didn’t feel that The pace of the fight was working in my favor. Ever heard the saying, ‘It’s better to have the crowd inside the tent pissing out, than outside the tent pissing in’? Well, the #&%@in crowd was outside the tent. I knew something was wrong. But, I just couldn’t put my finger on it until…

Then, the unthinkable happened. It was only inconceivable to Lucid, but perfectly logical in every way when one took the time to add things up. Kael locked Lucid’s arm. The ice man hadn’t realized it yet, however, as he was in process to jerk his arm back for the elbow. But, once he managed to deliver the strike, that’s when it hit him like a teenager being told he had genital herpes. Oh, the look on Lucid’s face was priceless. It spelled nothing less than,

…Oh s**t!...

Oh st Oh st Oh s**t!

His black and golden eyes were wide. There was a look on Lucid’s face that he, himself didn’t recognize but others knew well, especially if they were human.

I’ve lived for many moons. Throughout my life time I have felt a great deal of feelings that many have names for, but were also feelings I just didn’t understand. It’s not that I wasn’t aware of what they were. But people weren’t always far off when they thought of me as an idiot. See, I have a hard time identifying certain things about myself. I know myself best, and at the same time I don’t know myself at all. What I did know was that my heart was about to go the way of Toot from Drawn Together when food was present and eat every organ in my body.

The doctor was in surgery and got a phone call. Then, I heard, ‘What the hell do you mean you want a divorce?’

I was in real #+&% here. I mean the %$#& that the Stegasaurus left behind for that crazy doctor who put her hands all in it in Jurrassic Park. Nasty b***h. I didn’t know Kael’s intentions. I didn’t know how I felt. All I knew was that every ounce of my body screamed…

GET AWAY! GET AWAY YOU STUPID b*****d BEFORE YOU DIE!

…That and my right arm was at stake. I had to keep from panicking. It was the only thing that would keep me alive. Well, that and a grilled cheese sandwich. Ooh, and those animal crackers too! Those made lunch just the bestest best ever! My plan was simple. Well, not really. I didn’t have a plan. I just had jokes, a mouth, and feet. And I planned to use them to overcome my… well… I don’t know what this is. But, it makes me want my mommy. Do I even have a mommy?

Kael’s dagger came. It was a swift, short hook from the right side. Lucid kept an eye on that hand. After all, it was the hand which posed the most danger. But, it was like watching a death-scythe praying upon his soul. He shuffled his left foot forward.

Schniiikt!

”Heeerrrrrrk!”

The pain was intense as the dagger tore through the triceps of his left arm. It sliced into the inner portion of his upper arm and cut some of the skin under his underarm. Lucid’s purplish crimson colored blood spilled all over the blade and was exposed to the nitrogen within the air, beginning the rapid process of crystallization that the ice man’s blood would do in reaction to exposed air. His right leg slid back as Lucid almost lost balance within his stance. But, to keep himself up, he shifted his left shoulder forward more, pushing upwards on his left leg. His left hip was nearly pressed upon Kael’s as his right arm remained trapped within the man’s grasp. And just as Kael retracted the dagger, possibly for another attack, there was a feint chuckle from Lucid’s lips. Drowned by Kael’s laughter.

"GYAAAAAAKHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHKAHAHA"

”H-heeey! That’s more like it, Elmo!”

Lucid spoke with a chuckle, faintly but the man would hear his words.

”… Except you’ve gotta put more happy and silly into it…”

“…Sound’s more like…”

Then, he felt the pain a second time.

Schnnnikt!

”GraaaaaaHaHaHaHaHaHaHaHa!”

Determined not to give in, Lucid put on his best impersonation of Elmo, slightly gargled by a build up of saliva from the pain of wanting to scream his lungs out. The pain, this time, was still within the triceps but this time it was different. Kael managed to strike close to bone, so damn close that it made Lucid’s body jump within Kael’s grasp. His right leg slid back a bit further, but determined to stay on his feet Lucid kept much of his power within his left. He wasn’t about to give up just yet. No, he laughed. He laughed and laughed and laughed while his mind began to process a plan.

And I needed to do this fast! I think he’s began to swing that damn thing wildly at this point, just stabbing away until there was nothing left to stab. It hurt like hell! But, I needed to put an end to this now!

The wall…

If I can generate enough force, I can shove him into the wall hard enough to release my right arm. Then, counter. But, I need to make sure he can’t put a stop to me by jamming that thing into my gut or I’m done. Naw… @&%$ that! I have to succeed here. I’ll go down, and damnit I’ll drag him with me or make him remember what he had to do to get me down! @&%$ you tickle me Elmo! With your stupid a** laugh and your ability to be cuddled on the fluffy chest pillows of every simple-minded woman in the world and your—

Schniiikt!

”GroooooHoHoHoHoHoHoHoHooooo!”

He couldn’t even tell where this one stabbed, just that his left arm was pretty much dead weight at this point. He couldn’t move a single muscle within the arm. But, he still put it to use. But, before Kael could possibly retract the dagger for another blow, it was time for Lucid to act. Act he did.

His left was already holding much of his weight as the lead leg. Thus, Lucid’s right would explode forward, targeting the knee cap of the right leg Kael was using for stability. And with hope, Kael would lose his balance within his right leg enough for Lucid to take advantage. Lucid had two good legs still, weak from pain, but still good for balance. He was gonna use them. He pressed his right forearm with those hooked gauntlets upon Kael’s collar bone and started a chargin! At first, it would seem like Lucid wanted Kael to end up on the ground. But, that was utterly a bad move in the ice man’s mind. He couldn’t really focus on the thought, but subconsciously it was there. No, Lucid wanted to sweep Kael into a stumble with his body as Lucid’s chest pressed against his own right arm and shove the man backwards a few steps.

bLaM!

Right into the wall behind him, the same wall Lucid tackled Kael into before with hopes that the pressure of Lucid’s charge would smash his gauntlet hand into Kael’s collar bone and neck and stun the man out of his grip. And should that be successful…

”See… like that. And maybe even throw in a bit of Elmo loving…”

”EeHeHeHeHeHeHeHeHe!”

Thwaak!

Lucid’s right came with an explosive force to backhand Kael with his iced hand from the right side of his chin. Though the hooks weren’t faced to do the most ripping damage, it didn’t mean the combination of bitter cold and jagged edges wouldn’t tear into something and take chunks with the hit. At the least, Lucid would be free. Free and full of holes in his left arm, crystal crimson blood coating his left hand in a radiance of beauty.

The clever combination established by the Captain of All Bastards would shock him. This was a predicament he wasn't expecting by this man, assuming he was just straightforward or reckless. When the powerful back kick connected, Darious back arched in agony. Having minor flash backs of this year’s tournament, things were getting

Placing his sleigh shield against his chest, Dash's attack aggressively smashed him through the roof. Protecting his form from receiving further damage, he sensed that underestimating this bastards fighting caliber was going to force Darious into a formal greeting with the window. Preventing the shards of glass to slice his flesh, he angrily yelled as an echo was heard going into the garden.

Through the roof, they fell.

Damon was somehow consistently faster than anything Jason could manage. One great plan after another was dashed by pure speed. Two feet seemingly shortened to inches at Damon's blinding pace. There wasn't, however, anything in the world that could save Damon from dumb luck.

Jason was grabbed and slammed in the back of the head by a brick. His brain jarred forward against his skull in an impact that would knock cold anyone without a lifetime of martial training. For the fall, Jason was unconscious. His inner voice screamed into the depths of darkness for a way to kick Jason back into motion if anything could be salvaged after the fall.

As for the fall, Damon's grip on Jason would keep his body rolling with the motion of the hammer's recoil. Damon would roll to the underside of Jason's fall and cushion the blow for Jason while taking most of the damage from the fall for his and Jason's weight. This would have worked out fine if they'd hit the bed where the pillow fight almost broke out, but here's where that dumb luck part intervenes.

The darkness of the first floor rubble gave way to blinding white. The snowy exterior was no match for Mister Clean. The opulent and spotless white bathroom of an upstairs bedroom saw splintered debris followed by two men. Both headed straight into the empty bath; Damon-first.

Through the temporary blackout, Jason maintained a vice-like grip on the hammer; his unnatural attachment to the weapon apparent even unconsciously.

BOOM!

After their grand reentrance into mansion, Dash was determined not to make the same mistake as before and let the guy straddle him. As he fell back, he grabbed hold of Darious’s left arm with his right and drew in both legs so that they were in-between himself and the devil, planted in his gut.

THUD

His back hit the ground, and he pushed with both legs. All that momentum his foe had built up during the charge would be used against him as the captain tried to flip Darious over him. If successful, Dash would roll to the side and rise to a squat.

Why a squat you ask? Because they were now pretty close to a certain stairway and Dash wanted to store up some leg power in order to lunge at Darious with a tackle of his own and send the both of them on a very painful descent into the wine cellar.

Damon had intended to stay in the back mount during the fall so that whatever was below them he wouldn't be the one hitting it first. Unfortunately, physics and luck had to inject their opinions on the situation, and now he was the one the bottom.

This was going to end badly.

"Ahh, s**t!"

The only thing that Damon could do was curl his head up and pull his knees in before--

WHAAANGCRRRK

An extremely blunt object was forcefully jammed into the top of his back. Having crashed through the ceiling of the bathroom and over the tub, Damon's back had slammed nicely into the protruding shower-head and bent it downwards. This was going to make a very long painful wound on Damon's back, but on the flipside, change his falling trajectory so that he just kind of flopped forwards and down into the tub on top of Jason.

Looks like the knocked out kid was going to be doing another faceplant onto the back slant of the tub. Which would probably swell up his features and make talking to girls an even harder task than it probably already was for him.

Once they came to rest white plaster and pieces of wood rained down on top of Damon in a light symphony of crunching and crackling. He was gonna be dazed and his back was going to feel like absolute s**t, but at least he would be walking out of here. The same probably couldn't be said for his opponent, who by now, certainly couldn't be conscious. Though if by some miracle he did awaken, Damon could still wrap his arms around the guys throat and send him back to sleepy sleepy land.

If the fight was truly over, Damon would put the brick on Jason's back and scuttle out of the bathtub and hobble over towards the door. A job well done, so to speak.

Emerging from the destructive entrance of the combatants, Darious was personally enjoying this intense brawl. Regardless of the outcome, his bloodlust was going to be satisfied from exchanging blows with this lunatic. Dash made the bold move to grapple his left arm, doing this would cost him if successful. Out of no where, he springs forth the ominous scimitar like blade to make him bleed from the right arm that grasps his metallic limb.

Being flipped, he prayed the blade was able to claim blood by the surprising blow as he activated it as the flip was commencing. Watching him perform a few maneuvers afterward, he had doubts the blade would pierce into his foe this time around. As he decided to make them both tumble down the stairs, hell was about to occur as they descended towards the wine cellar.

After the fall changed direction, Jason didn't end up in the pose his opponent wanted.

Jason remained unconscious, but a strange force had moved his hammer's arm before falling face-first into a coma ward. Arthulu's forces watching over Jason's body would bend his arm into a position where his hammer-bearing fist drove into the tile to stop his upper body from hitting the bottom. The last bit of Arthulu's power channeled through Jason's frail body to prevent the weight of Damon from pushing him down as Damon rolled off to his side.

Head drooped and eyes closed, Jason remained in a half-upright pose like a man pushing himself up from the dirt with only his right arm. Though Damon would be too dazed and satisfied with this current mockery of consciousness to carry on, Jason would snap back into the world soon after he exited the room. A brick casually balanced on his head would be the first thing Jason saw as he opened his eyes. Arthulu had found another way to bring Jason conscious well before his body should be awoken.

Righting himself and dusting his shoulders free of debris, he recalled the last seconds of his descent.

"He's gone already? I could have fought ten more rounds!"

"Your brain is signaling something bad in right hand land."

"Yeaagh!"

He held up the hand and dropped his hammer. It was a bloody mess. Arthulu urged him to seek medical assistance despite the effort he thought he could exert. He was being pushed on Arthulu's power and wouldn't have been conscious without the intervention. He scooped up his hammer with his left hand, cradled the right hand in his armpit and made his way out of the house.

Shhkt!

The blade bit flesh again, shooting out and cutting Dash along his right flank due to the positioning of their arms at the time. He had grabbed Darious on the outside of his left arm during the flipping action, while his arms were still wrapping around his body from the tackle. Dash winced; his opponent was carving him up like a pumpkin. After the bout’s conclusion he’d have more stitches in him than grandma’s quilt.

Still, he lunged forward, leading with his right shoulder as he smashed into the demon and sent them both on their way.

His caution was bolstered by the fact that, unlike his own captain, apparently, Brendyn had done the requisite research ahead of time and knew who the fighters on the other team were and what they looked like. He let the man hold the cellphone out, without taking it from his hand.

People that are used to the effects of vertigo or constant movement (for example a sailor), or who simply possess a superior sense of balance, will be less affected by this spell, but will still find particularly acrobatic maneuvers to be impossible.

What was one of the first things you learned as a child when you got the opportunity to go out without parental supervision? You don't let strange men touch you. So as the guy spoke to himself, Heita simply cocked a brow...he probably thought he had his bluetooth on and just as Heita was about to mention that that the phone didn't have that particular feature...the guy reached out with his palm.

So out-thrusted palm met with slider phone, forcing the guys palm to cup around it and Heita left as stated before.

Now it was at the man's discretion whether or not he held onto the phone or whatever, it didn't really matter cause the thing had been set to speaker as it was transferred from hand to hand...and funky a** music could be heard and a voice yelled. " We outside!"

The chips were coming down, and they were starting to do it fast. While Lucid had a small advantage from a few inches and ten pounds on Kael combined with his magic and relatively clearer head, the situation just wasn't playing out well for him. The bleeding was continuing, starting up as the frosted blood melted, and leaving the left half of his face a relative mat of red. His left eye was shut- there was enough blood flowing over it that had it opened it would only have been blinded. Between that and the pain the pounding in his head had returned with the most horrible sort of vengeance. Balance and precision were going out the window fast as his body lost capacity for it, and what currently passed for his mind didn't even bother trying to maintain them.

All he wanted to do right then was hit frosty hard enough to bring him down. Right now he was a threat. He was all that pain, and several million years of finely crafted instinct said he had to come down.

Moral, ethical thinking was all but entirely gone- the only thing that kept him from stabbing away at the belly instead, probably hitting several vital things, was a long-honed practice of avoiding the kill while crippling the foe he'd forced himself into. The reptilian brain remained alive amongst all the aggression and spite though, and simple, short term cleverness, even if he was losing himself. Just enough of thought was left to understand just what was going on when his knee was hit, his balance suddenly going. He was vulnerable, oh yes.

But what could he do?

He released the knife right in the arm, and grabbed onto Lucid's dangling upper arm for support as his his leg gave out under the hit and left him at Setto's mercy in that regard. The forearm slammed into his chest and he was pushed, legs scrambling madly just to keep him from collapsing to the floor and being trampled as he was absolutely bullrushed. The armor was the only saving grace of it all. The collarbone was protected, the breastplate covering it and gorget covering covering wide around his neck to about the bottom of his un-tucked chin, all saving him having his throat ripped open like his face was while Setto pushed him back and slammed-

"FAAAAAAHKAAAHAA- KHUGKT!"

He roared incoherently as his chest creaked under the second slam into the wall of the fight, and his feet slamming against the wall and finally giving his legs a place to try and find the ground. Of course, it wasn't all blathering laughter and screaming, that second, poorly described sound effect was nothing else but a classic sign of defiance. Kael had enough blood dripping into his mouth while he had it open to hack a good glob of saliva and the red stuff all over Setto's face. He was aiming for an eye, but his aim was such as that he could only really count on it hitting the face somewhere, or else just barely missing it.

"Do... YOU..."

The first coherent snarl in a while dragged out, some small semblance of his mind still peeking out..

Teeth clenched. He was moving. Oh no he wasn't. The right arm tried to pull away, but Kael pulled back. It was part of the support keeping him from tumbling over, along with the right hand grip and the wall. The arm slipped, but stubbornly Kael clutched it tight, keeping his arm wrapped around as instead of thwacking his face hard, the gauntlet would just grind along his gorget, slowly making headway, slipping over and gently brushing Kael's lips as it passed, leaving a few new tiny spots bleeding on his ragged face. He locked down on the arm again once it was passed, trying to hold on, but the damage was done. Lucid's arm was halfway free and all it'd take was a little squirm and a few good tugs to get out, nothing Kael could do to stop it using his left alone.

It wouldn't be in time to save Lucid from the front of a storm, however.

"-EVER-"

His left foot slid forward, right imbetween the other man's, the right still pressing on the wall at least as much as the ground. More importantly though, they seemed to have gathered some strength- enough that his right hand had let go, and it hadn't gone back to try and grab the dagger, assuming it had managed to stay lodged in flesh that long. Chances were, it was about to fall out anyway.

His elbow thunked against the wall, ribs giving one last warning creak as his torso twisted, and then suddenly his entire body exploded into motion.

"SHUT - UP!?"

His right arm was restrained, he was locked into place, and his left was dead, leaving Setto no option but to watch as his feet exerted what force they had left, pushing even his body itself forward as he spun, producing a loud crack as his nearly-mended ribs gave out with the motion, and a gauntleted haymaker with 190lbs of EXTREMELY pissed off man exploded into it, less breaking than straight out collapsing his nose as the steel plate custom set over the knuckles introduced itself to Lucid's nose and gabber with all the manners of a rhinoceros with road-rage.

And with that all hell broke loose. Through the arm holding onto his other Lucid could feel how Kael's legs were shaking from all the pain and straining, even while he was going bonkers, and probably see the tears welling up in his eyes, but Kael didn't stop. Instead of disciplined punches or massive shots though, he just started wailing on him wildly. Backhands trading off to a messy whack with the thumb side of a closed fist, it wasn't anything dignified that Kael went on with, just a flurry of rapid blows raining across Setto's head, letting the weight and steel of the gauntlets produce the force instead of his body. Last year Jakob Riker had exploded icy shrapnel in Kael's face and gotten his own smashed in for it. And it seemed Kael still didn't take too kindly to people screwing with his dashing good looks, or lack there of.

...somewhere in the background, the gPod continued to hum quietly, probably playing more classic rock, "It Don't Mean A Thing If It Ain't Got That Swing," or something equally inappropriate.

112Show me the CarFox

Fox was being pushed to use any bit of combat knowledge he could find in his brain. Fox had realized by now that he wasn't in some ruled, fair match. There was no ******** around here, this was becoming dangerous. This looked like situations were one needed to succumb to Hand to Hand or CQC techniques.

Survival, you could call it.

Fox got away with the sit Out. It had to work, it's the essential escape from a sprawl. Fox turned and went to stab Tres. everything happened at a quick pace, Fox knew he stabbed something, but it wasn't sure whether it was Tres's ribs, armpit or deltoid. Fox knew something alright.

-Frooomp!-

He knew he had to roll to safety, before Tres squashed him. Rolling towards, northwest, Fox would quickly shift his head up as he began rising. He would've stayed on a knee, but that's risky. His eyes looking onwards, and what do you know?

Quote: "RA!"

Tres was at it again.

''This guy can never take A ******** BREAK" One of the thoughts circulating Fox's head...

This man was clearly determined to kill Fox, and not just beat him. Fox was up, his knees slightly bent, his shoulders slightly slouched over, fists parallel to each other. Fox's eyes were once again locked on Tres, only figuring out Tres's right arm extending to stab him on the body. He had little time to act, but he could do with that.

''Hpmh!''

sweat sweat

Fox would parry Tres's right arm at the forearm/wrist area with the posterior part of his left forearm, so that Tres's right arm is diverted to Tres's left. Fox's right foot would pivot back the left knee slightly sunk in, with the torso rotating clockwise until Fox's left side of the body was, eventually, 45 degrees to Tres's parried right side. Tres's bed post would scratch his baggy coat around the stomach, leaving an horizontal tear on it.

Fox's right hand would tap-clamp onto Tres's right wrist right after the forearm parry, and following that motion would be

''GRR!''

Fox's left arm would curl upwards at the crook of the arm from under Tres's right arm, and the left hand would dive into Tres's side, lunging the piece of wood into the side of Tres's body. Near the end of the ribs. Fox wasn't thinking about puncturing lungs or anything.

-Fwooshd!-

It's wasn't just a stab. Fox would dig the piece in, his legs getting into it as they bend forwards and up at the knees and his torso pressing against Tres's shoulder and backside... or just ''right side'', as if he was tackling Tres.

''It was only

AN

ALUMINUM

BAT!'' -Fwooshd!-

Fox would pull out the wooden piece again, but his right hand would slide up Tre's arm, until it was Fox's right forearm against Tres's right forearm.

Fox would scream, in reference to Athena's beating at the beach. At least Tres's other knife was far out. And these bed post wouldn't cut at such close distances.

We'll see what happens.

I should have slayed you!

As far as CQC went, Tres didn't think the bed post would be all that useful here and probrably more of a hindrance. He needed his dexterity. So when the parry came and went 'Pap!' against his bracer covered arm, diverting the attack to Fox's right side, he would drop the make shift weapon.

To fox it would almost seem as if he had knocked the weapon out of his hand and maybe that would be some sort of reassurance to fox, maybe it would make him think Tres was tired.

Tres would see the right hand coming to grab his right and with a sinister grin he would grab a hold of Fox's own wrist, while he took hold of his. His weight would sink and Tres would pull, not knowing what motion Fox was going to follow it with.

GRR! , the growl from the opponent came with an attack that should have been extraordinarily painful. While pulling Tres would turn his waist in a clockwise turn so that his right side would come back while his left side would come forward. Yet the pull would only help Fox Slam the bed post into the side of his body, and the grind of the jagged bed post that followed.

Tres's only saving grace from the pain that resulted from the pressure from the small, surface area of the blunt point of the weapon, was that he was wearing a leather jacket with throwing knives in the inside pocket, the point had been blunted by the previous stab, and because of his retreating right side the bed post edge would slide off of his twisting body and over to his right side.

Otherwise, all that pressure caused a lot of temporary pain.

The pull and turn of the waist would however cause Tres to be chest to chest with Fox rather than with his shoulder against his torso. Tres would have his right hand grasped onto the opponents wrist and vice versa.

However, besides the pain in Tres's side that may have been a broken floating rib...

"IT WAS ONLY AN ALU-"

SKISSHH!

Tres would be in range to attempt to stab into Fox's right side obliques with his left hand push knife.

"DON'T YOU EVER, EVER, TOUCH MY MOTHER AGAIN! a*****e!", TRES SHOUTED INTO HIS FACE.

Beware the vengeance of an angry moma's boy.

114Show me the CarFox

Somewhere, At Lu Bu, Tres's parents were about to see his son get Street Fighter'd.

The edge of the bed post went in. But to be honest, Fox felt something wasn't right. The stab didn't feel as it should've: Squishy. Blood everywhere. But them things were lacking... what the hell? Fox hasn't been able to find one damned good stab. But the past is past, and fox knew he lunged that thing pretty hard.

In the meantime, Fox's right wrist would been caught while he went to put his on Tres's right. Fox didn't pay much attention to do, he was busy attempting to stab Tres. It was a minute later, that he realized something was different. Something wasn't going as planned. Tres was moving? And his right hand was tangled with Tres's right.

Tres moved, only pulling and rotating himself in towards Fox, so they'd be chest to chest.

It was then, some time between pulling the bed post out and yelling, where Fox would get thwacked. Fox was conscious that it was going to be risky, but he had to be willing to try and deal some real damage. Look at it the bright side: Tres dropped the bed post post that was on his right hand, and he probably had a severed rib cage or broken floating rib, which is what Fox kind of wanted to hurt.

Fox's right arm was busy, he couldn't do much now except brace himself for whatever might come. He had his left hand ready but...

-SKISSHHH!-

G--

GYAHHH!!!!

The right side of his obliques, which is like some place beside the abdomen, would get pierced by Tres's left handed punch knife. Granted, it wasn't a big knife, but s**t still went in.

And it hurt. Like a mother.

More blood.

More to fuel Fox's FIGHTING SPIRIT. Fox could either whine in pain, or retaliate. Brother, he chose the latter.

G-- GAH!! Fox screamed, while Tres was... expressing himself.

Fox would use his right arm to jerk it off Tres's grasp -Fox wasn't using hand wraps, as if it was never specified in this fight- by pulling his own arm into him and slightly down, making his own right elbow jab at Tres's abdomen. Fox woulda have dropped slightly on his knees, almost as if he was going for a crouch, to aid the arm jerk of course. The elbow thing wasn't an attack, it was only to create enough space for a set up.

Upon freedom, Fox' right hand would grasp the end of the bed post as if it was a sword. The bed post was actually a long as a dagger could get. There was still some sharpness left, so lets use it for the last time...

For something awesome.

Fox would already be in that semi-crouch position. Suddenly

-Swish!-

OOUUUU!!!

KOGETSUZAN!!!

Fox would perform a double slash, resembling the moon's crescent. what, were you expecting a Shoryuken?

Well, this is similar. As to how Fox would slash vertically, going down and then upwards into a counter-clockwise the circle motion, then finally springing upwards into a jolting slash. The first slash could leave Tres with a scar across his chest, reminiscing Sagat's. Hey, that badass~. The second slash, well it's just a second slash, that would probably cause a smaller cut, since the bed post would be more dulled by now.

Hah, this shows Fox's love for Samurai Shodown. He's going to play some after this round ends, that's fo 'sho.
