"Hngh...!"
He wasn't as helpless as she'd thought... ah, she'd remember it as they kept going. It really didn't do well to show him much in the way of mercy, then. It was a very refreshing and relieving thought.
She couldn't stop him from grabbing the weapon, and there would be a short... very, VERY short tug-of-war session, where she instinctively resisted his pull, putting her right leg behind her at the same time. It didn't really do anything for her, other than keep her from falling, since she was going into leaning back. His pulling kept her on one foot though, and she was in real danger of getting pulled into him again, meeting that armor. Again.
That's when something clicked in the back of her head, and she just let the weapon go. To be sure, the whole process... her leaning back to resist, then letting go, took about a full second or more, depending on what frame of the reel you were starting from. When she finally did land her back leg on the ground, her face contorted into some sort of annoyance, though not for the obvious reason of "he's got my weapon.'
Since she didn't resist so much and he was already on a knee or so, he wasn't expected to fall back when he let go, but there should be the slightest stall, since he was suddenly pulling on a lot less. In whatever stall of realization there should be, D' brought her right leg back around, sweeping it along the ground and twisting her body hard to her left. One would expect her to let fly with a roundhouse, but she instead went through a complete 180-degree turn while moving closer to him. Flowing seamlessly into another 180 turn so he wasn't facing her back, she dropped down into a low squat. At this point, she was face to face with his squatting position.
But... there was time to move if not in the first spin, then the second, and she was subconsciously prepared for him to be standing. Which... would be fine 'cause then he'd be even more surprised when D' launched into a somersault from point blank range. Still, that preparation meant she had her arms up in enough position to cushion a blow if she was THROWN UP ON by this time. Still, at least she thought she was fast and good enough to pull this off.
"San!" Her right foot was first to rise, its aim to knock the helmet up somehow. She wouldn't pretend to know the intricacies of his helm, but there should be some point where they connect, where he could actually take the thing off. All she needed was for it to slip up, just a wee bit.
"Sin!" The left foot followed, more outstretched that if the helmet miraculously came off, she'd hit him in the chin. Whether or not the helm came off, the second foot would've impacted against his chest on the way up, and if he wasn't ungodly heavy, probably lifted him a couple of of feet from the ground.
"Swen!" And to finish it off, she didn't land like a normal person should. D's body twisted in air, righting and positioning for a right axe kick to the top of his head, sending him back down. To the ground? Back into that kneeling and throwing up?
It wasn't a very practical move, or a practical hope... taking the helm off with one foot? But hey, that might be the very reason why it worked. Also, there was no reason to worry about her not having enough power to do it, seriously.
