Owen continued his course, running the man through with his spear. There was little other choice; it wasn't as though the Death Knight could change directions in midair or anything. Without the time to dodge accordingly, Owen chose to do as much damage as possible, using that aforementioned magicka.
Quote: -Shock Tide: A large amount of mana is focused through a target (I.E. the tip of his spear, his fists, etc.) for a single, devastating attack. This spell actually uses a combination of two elements. Negative energies wear away at the target's life force directly, where as the chaos energies work to tear apart any physical object. This typically cannot be used as a projectile attack, as the combined magical energies disperse as it travels out, negating its effectiveness.
Mana surged through the spear and into Jason's stomach. Purple chaos energies worked at utterly destroying his stomach and flesh. Simultaneously, black negative energy began to chip away at the man's vitality and life-force. Things looked relatively good for Owen, unless Jason thrived on negative energy... in which case he would still be in pretty rough shape...
That is, until you factored in the explosive charges.
"Graaah!"
The charges slammed into Owen and exploded almost simultaneously with the Shock Tide. Thrown with incredible force, the Death Knight left the spear inside his opponent as he flew, jerking it due to the sudden force of the blows. Hitting the ground hard several feet away, he could do little but promptly bring himself to a stand and assess the damages.
Without his shadeskin armor to protect him, the Death Knight was much easier to injure. Even with his minor fire resistance, there was severe skin damage to Owen's upper body, more noticeably on the left side. Deadly black miasma began to seep from the Death Knight's wounds.
Jason could rejoice, however; the Miasma only affected those of Draconic Origin. It did, however, start peeling the paint off that John Cena picture.
His illusion was also shattered, revealing his true form; pale skin, ephemeral purple eyes, and jet black hair that literally flowed out of his head like water. That would probably help explain the black mist pouring out of Owen's wounds.
"...Shock Tide."
Perhaps it was a little late, but he hardly had the time to say it before he got exploded on.
