"Just like I was hoping--wait.."
Okay, so something happened that Damon wasn't expecting, that being that Jason managed to kick off the roof without slipping on the ice. That was the advantage Damon had figured he would half encase of such a move. There was a reason he hadn't broken into a run towards Jason, he'd have slipped and done a faceplant. However, it seemed that the icy snow had thinned out as he neared the edge, allowing his opponent enough traction for his quick evasion.
Although, it wasn't like he was going to be able to use this to his advantage, too--
SKRRK
Damon's body ground to a halt on the rougher surface of the shingles just as his foot missed it's mark. His head snapped in the direction his opponent had gone, and immediately he reacted as though the guy had pulled a gun on him. Pushing off his left hand and springing with his left leg, snow and shingle surface peeling up behind him like the skin of a potato, Damon closed the small distance between them.
He had to make sure he stayed tucked down and under the range of a horizontal sweep, while making sure to get inside the hammer's guard before his opponent could react. The latter not being such a problem because Jason hadn't jumped that far, you know, because he hadn't gone tumbling down the edge.
Once close enough to his opponent, Damon would reach out and grab a handful of that hoodie and twist to get a firm, unshakable grip and from there he would swing the brick in his right hand at the side of his opponents left hip. With limited traction, a small body, a grip on his clothing, and his hammer being useless, it was unlikely that Jason would be going anywhere.
The best he could do with the hammer would be to try and hit Damon with the haft, but that wouldn't do anything to stop the brick to the hip. There were also the options of punching if he decided to drop the hammer or otherwise remove it from the equation. A knee strike? Possible, but it was likely he'd just set himself up to get taken down or end up in an even worse position.
Assuming Damon did manage to land his attack, he'd hopefully use the damage created to bring Jason down to his side on a flatter more stable part of the roof. From there it would be effortless for him to climb up the guys small body and proceed to d**k him in the face with a fist full of brick until he stopped twitching.
Inside his mind thoughts of the cameras focusing on him, the people that would be watching him hopefully brutalize his target. His teammates fighting their battles and hopefully winning them. But most of all, how it was going to feel to knock out another poor sod with a weapon, just like in round one. Or maybe the guy would be crafty and find a way around the horrible situation that Damon intended to place him in. Regardless of how things turned out, it would all be over in the next second.
