Stage9: Brown Estate

Snowy Rooftop

Honey, I think something's on the roof? I better go check, because Christmas was two months ago.

The large mansion rooftop is covered in a two inch layer of snow. The slant of the roof in gentle in most places, but there are a few less than gentle declines. A few chimneys pipe smoke into the air, while windows stream light. The roof also includes a balcony, complete with entrance into master bedroom. The gardens are below.

Terrain

General - Slanted shingled roof in some areas, snow conditions. Connected to interior and gardens.

Weapons - None.

Bonus Effects - Ring out rules have been suspended, free travel is allowed between the four brown estate threads. However, if you do not link your exit and entrance posts together (that is a link in each), you will be red carded.

White cards will be let free for intentional interference with other fights.

Up in the distance, dropping as though spat from the sun, was a growing bright red dot that looked very out of place. It didn't move from side to side like a normal free flying object, instead it simply kept getting bigger and bigger. After several moments a black circular shadow grew on snowy rooftops, and the features of the object became more distinct.

To what do wondering eyes appear?

A bright red sleigh not pulled by Reindeer!

WHAAAMM!!

The red sleigh slammed onto the rooftop sending up a shower of snow in it's wake. Surprisingly enough the sled did not crash through the roof and down into the interior below, but remained, sliding a bit before coming to firm halt inches from where it had landed, the shingles beneath unhurt.

"Man what a ride!"

A man's voice, obviously sounding quite thrilled about what had just happened, echoed out from inside the sleigh. Silver hair glistened like the snow as his head popped up, a smile growing on his face. Lu Bu's second, Damon had arrived!

Not that he expected to get any cheers.

However, he didn't appear to be alone. There was somebody with him, of which he was now turning to and prodding in the shoulder.

"SEE, I TOLD YOU I'D GET US HERE!"

3Savoki Sanoci

Appearing from a sleigh was so unlike him, yet the transportation helped getting there quicker. Pondering why he agreed to this idea, he began to distant himself from the sleigh. He scorned Christmas or anything that gave that holiday spirit. He loved the color red, but on a sleigh it made him want to vomit. Standing strong and proud, team Lu Bu had made their arrival into the area. With a win under their belt, he would need to step things up for round three. Refusing to have their streak end at round three, he made it a personal goal to exceed his limits from last year. Addressing Damon, he gave his usual tone when confronting the Psion, however this entrance seem to really ******** with his mindset a bit.

“"You think this was fun, you think all is well, but KISS MY a** I SHALL SEE YOU IN HELL!"

Darious said with a tone of anger in his voice.

Overall, today was a good day to ******** someone up. Automatically transferring from his usual thuggish attitude to his sadistic side, it was obvious this man was craving for some bloodshed. Caged like an animal during the second round, Darious urges to commit lurid acts only deepened. Unfortunately, the team they were facing would have the bad luck to deal with a psychotic priest who was now as savage as a hungry predator.

Already marked with a Glasgow smile from round one and the symmetrical lines descended from his eyes in round two, this mutilating ritual was becoming a twisted religious calling before any encounters. This wouldn’t be any different as he revealed his serrated satanic cross. Enduring the pain, he carved out a small satanic cross to the center of the forehead; realizing any of these scars could bring him to a disadvantage. Darious Kaiq ignored such thoughts and applied them to hype himself up despite what his comrades said to him.

Wearing his dark shaded goggles since entering Heaven or Hell, he glanced while observing the area around them. Liking the area he got, he stood there while waiting on Team ALL. Causing first blood before the fights commenced, he considered the roof somewhat appropriate for the fight as he patiently waited like a wolf.

4Seena Brighteyes

Ah, what a peaceful day for a sleighride. A trip the likes of which the carefree swordswoman had never seen before... the sky was so beautiful and the weather only slightly chilly when one ignored the rigid windchill of sailing through the air. Ah, who was she kidding, it was really cold! So much so, in fact, that she had quickly taken a spot hidden in the back and moved her outfit-separated sleeves up her shoulders. She was even beginning to fall asleep when..

WHAAAMM!!

Damon and their bloody friend has a brief altercation, and in fact it was likely the priest hadn't even noticed she was there until,

Peek

A dazed head emerged from the back of the sleigh. Saya yawned and stretched before climbing out onto the snow-covered roof, her thin shoes doing little to block out the sloshy cold as even the bottoms of her dark sweatpants became covered in white.

It was interesting how the sun reflected off the snow of the roof, and even her white, robe-like, chinese-looking top gleamed in unison. People without sunglasses would have an uncomfortable disadvantage up here... herself included.

5The Thunder Tyrant

Some grown-a man just preemptively st himself at the thought of Dash showing up to this match.

Tres had to admit that his childhood memories of christmas were fond. His parents were loving and they took great care of him. However, such things and pleasantries had never brought him true happiness. He wanted blood and not just period blood but blood. The desire for pure violence burned so intensely within his mind that he did not feel the crash of the sleigh as it rammed into the building nor did he feel frigid cold.

The momentum of the sleigh crash remained even after the sudden stop and since Tres was not one to put on a seat belt his body would go flying from the sleigh. THe moisture from the slowly falling snow wetted his eyes and clouded his vision yet he knew full well what was in front of him. He would save himself from flying from the roof by grabbing onto the chimney and spinning his body so that his feet could land onto the other edge.

The billowing smoke would cover his body, making the dreaded warrior look like some kind of white speckled black demon. He would leap forth to land perfect balanced on the edge, opening his big blue eyes to look at his team mates. He did not acknowlege the fact that he had just saved himself from being badly hurt but he would simply say in his wicked appearance.

"I Want dash"

It was unknown to Tres how he knew the warrior but it was obvious that Tres had something to prove not only to his team mates, but to himself and the world. A wry grin would then build on his face and he would know that his team mates would likely see the request as a bad match up.

"My father was always called a bore to fight. I want to show the world that I am capable of more than just technical fighting skills. I want to show them that I can entertain as well as anyone else!"

7La Caballero Roja

High up in a snowy tree, binoculars were scouting onto the area where the rooftop battle was taking place. The person holding it had on a white snow coat made of fur that was expensive and comfortable. When the binoculars fell, it was revealed to be Roja sitting in the tree being a spectator to the match. To her, no one other than Tres belonged on Team Lu Bu. Lu Bu was a name that belonged to those who pledged to the code and honor that came with Lu Bu. She never saw those three at his gym before nor ever heard about them from Athena or Sieg. Even their performance so far disgusted her. She could be wrong, but she felt like they did not deserve to be on this team. They did not have the heart or soul of the Lu Bu name. It sometimes made her angry.

"It is time for you to understand what it means to be a fighter in this world, Tres. I would think you would have learned something from your parents. Even Athena knows that there is more to just wanting to destroy."

Roja spoke this to herself as she watched on. She wished Tres's parents had came to give him some support, but they were a busy couple. Therefore, she was the only person that could deliver the message of Lu Bu. She needed to get him to remember where he came from. She just did not know how. She thought about this as she brought her thumb to her teeth and bit down on it.

"Stupid Tres..."

8Supreme Jerk Commander

Suddenly the section of roofing beneath Darious buckled upwards as if a giant fist was trying to punch its way from the room below.

THOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

In a bright flash of green light the cieling caved, sucking the demon into a vortex of shingles, wood and insulsation.

s**t was going down... literally.

kingsanoci@yahoo.com says:

The condition of this round is a no striker match, with all 3 fights commencing at once. Both teams have agreed to this, and it has been ok'd by Kraun. For clarifying things, we'll enlist the fight occurring on the top of each post with the fighters name on it so no confusion concludes with grading and have it time paradox for no ********>

Darious turned a hollow gaze at Tres as he spoke about himself.

"Calm down Blackie Chan, you'll get a fight soon enough. Nothing personal, but I want to make a statement of my own. That involves giving their crazy leader a beating he'll never forget. You and that John Cena loving martial artist seem to have something in common. How about you crush his skull in, while I pummel that clown of a leader?"

The son of Sieg and himself never got along; however they had a mutual partnership when it concerned a battle. Holding alot of animosity towards each other, he figured it was worth trying to communicate with a composed demeanor for once. As things were getting silent, a fist came crashing upwards through the roof with the bright flash of green energy, Darious was enraged his opponent would pull such a tactic! Realizing his position as the roof came crashing down, he knew escaping wasn’t possible. But maybe that wasn't a bad thing.

With a face full of insanity, the sadist priest sprang forwards on what little ground was left, letting the sleigh he had been standing next to fall down behind him. Dash probably wouldn't expect a face full of that. Hyped up at getting a fight, Darious released himself from the edge and dropped down into the interior. Expressing himself in the foul way that he did.

"HO HO HO ********>

"HOLY s**t!"

Damon scrambled away from the quickly collapsing roof, jumping onto and clinging to a sturdy brick chimney. Once he felt he was safe he craned his head around just in time to see the sleigh dip down into the hole, with Darious dropping in behind it.

If anything, at least the fight had gotten of to an explosive start...

11Valentine R Hoskuo

A very tired Valentine, lazily made his way towards the arena. Scaling up the side of the roof until he made his way to the top. The man would collapse as he reached the peak, lying down on it. The King had a special outfit for this match. He had ditched the cosplay he'd planned on wearing, because only one outfit was acceptable for this opponent. He had to wear his SHINE outfit. Which consisted of all black, except for saying SHINE on certain parts;said parts being, the chest, pants legs. On the back on his shirt stood a quote amongst the sea of dark. 'You ain't got that Shine, you ain't got s**t.' Of course, at this time the song 'I get my Shine On\' by SkiLL of Flight 4:17 was playing. What it was playing from who knew, but it was because that's how the Shine rolls.

The plan was in effect. Dash would draw one of the fighters away from the team while Jason took on another in a clever ambush!

The plan was working perfectly so far - if Jason wasn't ten minutes late.

CLANG CLANG CLANG CLANG

The heavy metallic objects in his satchel bag made a horrible noise as he ran up the staircase of the opulent mansion. Well, the value was steadily declining today and not for the mortgage bubble. His head clouded with directions through the labyrinthine home, the over-sized warhammer he carried also sang its cacophony against the stairs it was dragged over.

CLANG CLONG CLANG

"Right, then left, then right - Top of the stairs!" he repeated the words of the downstairs butler to himself, scaling the stairs. A sharp voice reached out to his mind over the clatter.

"BE CAREFUL WITH ME, IMBECILE! I AM THE CONDUIT FOR YOUR CONTINUED EXISTENCE!"

The voice in his head was, as before, Arthulu. The name of his hammer and former Overfiend of the seventy-second dimension, now cast into a wicked hammer's form. His wicked voice reached out to Jason's mind at all times. He was right about Jason's existence. He was still grievously wounded from the fight days ago and lived on to continue in the tournament. But he was the only half-right, as their symbiosis was necessary for Arthulu to carry on his intentions through Jason; the only human he'd deemed pliable enough to his ways.

CLANG CLANG

"Sorry!" Jason said aloud to his inner voice. He scanned his surroundings. Still in a house. Not the roof. "I'm lost."

"We wouldn't be in this case if you'd followed the plan! The plan was planned! That's the point of a plan!"

"I didn't PLAN on the game store changing the preorder bonus! I had to pre-reserve before some other jerk got that limited edition statue!"

"I'm still really struggling to understand all the aspects of your mind, but I'll assume this is a necessary element to your bodily functions."

"Yes. You would assume correct, Arthulu." Jason eyed the window and saw the roof through it. "Back to the plan."

The other contestants on the roof would see the window blown open in a small concussive explosion. A thin figure covered in a hoodie featuring an expired internet joke shortly follows the broken glass out. He's brandishing a hammer much too large for his body type and looking confused.

"Dash!" he calls out, "I'm ready for that surprise attack thing!"

Tres would move towards Damon after seeing the giant hole suddenly erupt from the ground and the sleigh sinking into it as if engorged by some fearsome beast. A smile grew on Tres's face as he arrived close to Damon despite his disappointment's of Dash attacking Savoki and taking away his chance to fight him. He would speak to damon while watching the kid in the hoodie with a malevolent gaze.

"Thats fine. I can send the same message against fox but who is that a*****e over there. Where is fox, were is my fight?"

The black sut on his body would slowly run off as the snow turned into water upon his body warm with a passionate desire for ultraviolence. He looked like some kind of craze animal who rose out of his cave to hunt his prey.

Soft juicy snow on the outside, delicious chunk of crunchy brick on the inside!

Ridiculous.

Who was that? Talking s**t up there?

After entering the master bedroom, Fox'd hear somebody ranting, up in the roof. But he would also hear his name being mentioned out loud. Fox thought it was either Darious, or the 'roidraeg'd Tres.

''What the f--... Oh really... ''

Fox would grab one of the fancy chairs lying about the room, dragging it out into the balcony.

He'd look up.

''...... ''

-Fwoom!-

And just tossed it over, not knowing where and who it was heading to/landing on. It'd take a hell of an arm, so Fox used both to make things easier.

After that, Fox would hop straight upwards, hanging onto the ledge to pull himself up into the roof.

-crunch, crunch-

''Ugh. First Sieg, then Athena, now his son?'' Fox though. Fox was tired of dealing with the Ecstuffuans'.''

"I SMELL p***y!", Tres said as he heard the chair hit the roof. He would leap from the spot he was in as he spoke rushing towards the chair that landed on the roof. As he moved towards the chair he would see some digits grasp onto the roof.

In his rush he would slide on the angled snow covered roof with his dreads fluttering loosely in the cold wind. His right hand would reach out to dig into the snow to grab into the textured roofing. As soon as the dread headed warrior saw the rising head of Fox he would slam his left foot into his mouth.

CRSH his foot would say as it introduced itself to Fox's jaw.

Hopefully since he was busy pulling himself up he couldn't defend himself.

If Fox fell down onto the balcony he would let himself go over the edge in an attempt to make a falling right superman punch into the face of the likely prone warrior. His fist were covered in sutt and Fox would likely not see the spikes on the fighters fist.

Should've brought Claymores and a Stealth Camo.

That's a pretty big dude sliding down at Fox, isn't it? Not too hard to notice, which is why Fox would easily drop from the pull up --release L2+R2 after pull up--, so his head doesn't get kicked off.

Actually, Fox would simply drop and haul back into the Master Room. Maybe Tres would slip from the kick and fall or something. Maybe not. Fox would start picking random books he'd find in shelves and s**t and chuck them at the balcony, so it makes for a shitty landing. He'd also chuck another chair he found at the balcony.

Then he would walk out of the Master Room and jog back into the Wine Cellar.

Oblivious to the ol' snowbrick trick, Jason called out to Dash once more.

"Daaa-!" he warbled before being interrupted in his mind by Arthulu's voice.

"SWING RIGHT!" he yelled, more aware of the battle than Jason.

With this command, his right arm holding the hammer swung a perfect half-arc to decimate the projectile. Now more snow hit Jason than brick, turning his attention that direction.

"...ash?"

Jason finished his cry with a misplaced quizzical ending. His eyes shot wide as light snow pelted his face and hoodie, now clearly showing likely ironic support for political pundit Ron Paul.

"I can't always protect you like this." the voice patronizingly wafted through his mind. He was shocked not at the surprise attack, but that this was the first time his mind's inhabitant had seized control of his body without his knowledge or consent.

"I'm wearing the pants here," he sharply said aloud to his inner voice to akwardly imply he held dominance. He shifted his stance to hold the hammer in both hands and address whoever threatened him; the madman's invention, the gunhammer, gleaming in the sun and snow.

1

22Besvarande Vidunder

And there he stood, silver hair glimmering in the sunlight, hands stuffed in his jacket pockets and his storm gray eyes focused upon the weapon--then the kid's size. His lips drew into a thin grin. Really? This was who he was getting stuck fighting?

"What are you supposed to be...?"

The guy was like a character ripped right from a manga, short, thin and wielding an impossibly large weapon for his size. And one that looked very different from a normal warhammer. Damon wouldn't underestimate the guy of course, because the facts were he was wielding it and had just dashed a clean surprise attack without missing a beat.

"Nah.. doesn't matter."

With that Damon pulled his hand from his pocket and ripped another brick from the edge of the chimney. He had taken the time to loosen the stones when he clung to it, thinking ahead that they could be of use.

And they certainly would be if he had his way, though no more snowbricks.

That done Damon starting walking calmly towards the guy, tossing the brick up a bit and catching it. Not the kind of attitude you'd expect of a guy entering into a fight with just a brick up against a magical man with a giant hammer. Maybe he had something up his sleeve?

2

23La Caballero Roja

Roja was speechless. The entire house was being broke into. With that happening, there was no fight to see.

"..."

24Mavwick

Guy with a brick? Check. Opponent found. The FIGHTER on his wrist had already engaged. The name "DAMON" flashed as his opponent, and his dark eyes darted from the information back to the man in front of him. Stepping out of the window's rubble with a different kind of crunch in the snow to its sound, he addressed the fighter before him.

"Damon..." he let the words ease out on the cold breeze in a calm manor before ruining the mood. "Some sort of brickmaster, huh? I've seen 'em all!"

His boast made his inner voice moan and chastise him. He stayed in a ready stance after a few paces, awaiting his opponents action.

Mavwick Wrote:

"SHUT UP!"

Damon raised his voice above normal tone, though no sign of anger showed on his face. Perhaps there was a tad bit of pent up frustration left over from the previous fight he'd been in? Well, either way, it was time to get this fight on.

With a spring in his step, Damon began to stride more quickly towards his opponent. He had thought about dropping down into the hole and then coming up from under Jason, but before doing that he had tested how his opponent would react to surprise attacks with the brick. Testing the waters. And it had revealed that Jason could not be surprised, and such a tactic would probably end up with Damon being used as the target in a game of whack-a-mole.

Not that having to change his plan to something else would be a problem, in fact, it showed him exactly what he could do next.

All Damon would need is to get within a few feet of his opponent without slipping off the sides of the roof. A task that would prove almost effortless for him, not because of his shoes, but because of the great balance that made him very dangerous in a hand-to-hand situation. From there he would see how things turned out.

"I wonder if he'll let me get close...?"

3

26Mavwick

As Damon dashed towards his opponent's ready stance Jason had time to retort before he swung his hammer.

"I'll let my hammer do the talking."

This was as literal as possible, as the inner voice granted to him by his hammer guided him into a cautious approach. With no weapons visible, it was best to wait and see what Damon had hiding. Jason's brash approaches with his relatively new-found power led him to at least prepare a counterattack.

When Damon would step in range, the hammer would swipe a quick arc in front of him. Seeing as his opponent wanted to close, this would be a weaker strike with Jason stepping back for his grounded footing to keep the distance.

3

Damon saw how Jason was positioned and he was almost a hundred percent sure the guy was going to go for a horizontal sweep. Why? Because it was very bad to try and strike vertically against a guy that could just sidestep the attack and move in close. From the get go he had planned exactly what his action would be in accordance with this...

SWISH

As the hammer was swung it caught nothing but air, Damon wasn't there, having dropped from the line of sight. However, he hadn't stopped and ducked, he'd just thrown himself into a full blown baseball slide. His left leg was pulled up and his right leg was outstretched, his left hand dragging along the slick icy roof leaving a trail in the snow not undisturbed by Damon's body moving across it. His aim was to slam his right foot into his opponents right foot and tumble him over forwards.

There was the chance that Jason would see this, though. This was no concern to Damon, however. In fact it could probably work to his advantage assuming the guy jumped or fell forwards, which would accomplish essentially the same thing. Getting him up close and personal where the hammer was no threat and the brick was.

Having the size and strength advantage over Jason, Damon'd easy obliterate him.

Of course there was the off chance that Jason would attempt to sidestep or side-jump, but Damon had a way to make that work to his advantage even more. One way or another he was going to get his opponent on the ground and beat him with the brick. And once he was inside his opponent's guard, he could do it with ease.

Then again, complications can always arise, and Damon wasn't able to plan for everything. He could only hope that his rushing in and attacking like this would give him an edge.

Jason was playing it cautious. He'd made a weak but now wholly inaccurate swipe to keep his footwork light in case of failure. Of course, he hadn't exactly expected Damon stealing Third in the top of the first inning.

If Damon was headed to his right leg, he'd just get that the hell out of the way first. With his hammer already at his left side, a counter at this range was impossible. Springing off the planted right foot, his whole body slid back and to his left, shifting snow away in two clean diagonal lines from his previous position. An extra-ordinary bit of snow has melted under his initial footing, burned in with an otherworldly purple hue.

He wasn't cautious for the right reasons.

Years of being steeped in study of manga and anime had left him believing thoroughly in opponents that always had a trick. In the world of manga, it's a familiar writing trope to have an enemy hold back his secret ability until the hero falls for it. Jason's fiction-soaked mind focused on the brick. Clearly there was some trick to it, to him. To Jason, the reality of a fighter simply wanting to get in close and grapple him down was the furthest thing from his mind.

Elsewhere in Jason's mind, Arthulu was fuming. "There's no trick to the brick! It's not some brick trick!"

Jason's face twisted up in confusion and he spoke aloud to his inner voice again, saying "Is this some Dr. Seus?"

Unbeknown to the pop culture of this dimension, Arthulu told him "I'm not giving you medical advice! He's just an ordinary fighter!"

Staring off into space, Jason wasn't clearly addressing the fighter in front of him with his speech. He probably just looked like he had a small stroke.

Edit: I don't live where things... ice. No frame of reference. Added a bit o' magic to explain the footwork.

4

31Besvarande Vidunder

"Just like I was hoping--wait.."

Okay, so something happened that Damon wasn't expecting, that being that Jason managed to kick off the roof without slipping on the ice. That was the advantage Damon had figured he would half encase of such a move. There was a reason he hadn't broken into a run towards Jason, he'd have slipped and done a faceplant. However, it seemed that the icy snow had thinned out as he neared the edge, allowing his opponent enough traction for his quick evasion.

Although, it wasn't like he was going to be able to use this to his advantage, too--

SKRRK

Damon's body ground to a halt on the rougher surface of the shingles just as his foot missed it's mark. His head snapped in the direction his opponent had gone, and immediately he reacted as though the guy had pulled a gun on him. Pushing off his left hand and springing with his left leg, snow and shingle surface peeling up behind him like the skin of a potato, Damon closed the small distance between them.

He had to make sure he stayed tucked down and under the range of a horizontal sweep, while making sure to get inside the hammer's guard before his opponent could react. The latter not being such a problem because Jason hadn't jumped that far, you know, because he hadn't gone tumbling down the edge.

Once close enough to his opponent, Damon would reach out and grab a handful of that hoodie and twist to get a firm, unshakable grip and from there he would swing the brick in his right hand at the side of his opponents left hip. With limited traction, a small body, a grip on his clothing, and his hammer being useless, it was unlikely that Jason would be going anywhere.

The best he could do with the hammer would be to try and hit Damon with the haft, but that wouldn't do anything to stop the brick to the hip. There were also the options of punching if he decided to drop the hammer or otherwise remove it from the equation. A knee strike? Possible, but it was likely he'd just set himself up to get taken down or end up in an even worse position.

Assuming Damon did manage to land his attack, he'd hopefully use the damage created to bring Jason down to his side on a flatter more stable part of the roof. From there it would be effortless for him to climb up the guys small body and proceed to d**k him in the face with a fist full of brick until he stopped twitching.

Inside his mind thoughts of the cameras focusing on him, the people that would be watching him hopefully brutalize his target. His teammates fighting their battles and hopefully winning them. But most of all, how it was going to feel to knock out another poor sod with a weapon, just like in round one. Or maybe the guy would be crafty and find a way around the horrible situation that Damon intended to place him in. Regardless of how things turned out, it would all be over in the next second.

Valentine yawned as he watched the two fight. This was of course the first time he'd ever met Jason. Which was sad, this was what? The third round and he hadn't even met everyone on his team? Just shameful. What was even worse is that one of their opponents, Darious Kaiq was one of Valentine's comrades. He didn't know who he should be rooting for. Not that it mattered, he was sure he could take on all of Team Lu Bu his partner included in 5 seconds. It would be glorious to say the least.

Having slid back away from his opponent, he indeed had more than just his haft to attack with in the distance gained. The head of the hammer swung quickly down from Jason's upper-left to his lower-right. If only it was the right SIDE of the hammer. The impact charges in the barrel would do no good on this side, but there sure were pointy bits that would have another kind of impact.

Having no martial skills beyond his hammer, he had no choice but to swing and defend himself from being grappled.

Being rushed and down low, he would leave his opponent two options at this point. Get hit with the backside of the gunhammer or tumble away; losing distance to a weapon-based fighter.

Of course trying to hit someone that low with a hard swing might cause another, smaller, section of roof to collapse. At this rate, local roofing and tile expert, Juan Menendez would surely get to put his kids through college. It's nice to have a pleasant part of the story before all the bloodshed and carnage.

Having misjudged the size of the hammer appearently, Damon was now facing two courses of action he could take; the first being to be hit in the spine with the back of the hammer and the second being to tumble to safety and sacrifice his close range.

However, Damon was MacGyver when it came to tactical improvisation. He always managed to see option three in any bad situation, and this one was no different. All it required was a little quick thinking on his part and one opening. As he neared and Jason dropped the hammer, Damon tumbled forwards in a small front flip, an easy task given his very low position. By all accounts, Damon's shoulders/back would easily take out Jason's legs on this snow while Damon's momentum sent him into a quick roll under his opponent - the result? Jason would quickly find himself doing a faceplant on the hard surface of the roof.

Damon on the other hand would roll into a solid crouch just short of a very nasty fall down to the gardens below.

This didn't mean it was over, Damon was an opportunist, Jason would have to be stunned and on his stomach, if only for a second, and his hammer would be entirely out of the picture for a counter. Damon would immediately do a one 180 and pounce on his hopefully fallen prey and into the back mount. From there he'd crawl upon Jason's back and pin him down. With his arms pinned that hammer was no threat anymore. Damon's next course of action would be to take that brick he was holding and introduce it to the back of Jason's skull until the little guy stopped moving around.

On the flipside, Damon never knew how things in these kind of fights were going to play out. Therefore, just encase, he mentally noted several other plans he could put into play if the situation got really tricky. Most of them involving back trauma...

So Damon chose to rush into the hammer. Having his options already clear, he'd get hit in the back with the backside of a large metal object, but his inertia would send him through Jason's legs, regardless. Considering the impact, this got messy.

Jason would trip and fly over Damon's tumbling body, some of the force stalled by a hammer swing to the back. If Damon's plans weren't thrown off enough by the hit, Jason would have another surprise for him as he got to his knee, hammer planted in the snow.

WHACK

"Nhg"

The hammer's pointy bit sunk into Damon's back just as he front-rolled forwards into offensive. He'd figured that by rolling into the guys legs right as he swung the hammer he would avoid getting hit, unfortunately he was wrong, and he was going to have a very nasty bruise now. The impact was also going to screw up his landing a bit because his body was pushed into a slant during the roll. As such, when finished the motion he'd sitting in an upright position leaning slightly on his right side.

Despite all these factors though, Damon would not let himself be deterred from his victory. He couldn't let his team down this early in the game. Gathering his wits, Damon rolled around on his right side and quickly shot off in the direction that Jason had fallen by springing with his left leg and arm. The space between them was barely two feet at best anyways, so it wasn't like his poor landing was going to delay him so much that he wouldn't get to Jason's back before he could turn around.

Using his momentum Damon would throw himself into Jason's back just as he was getting into a kneel and at the same exact time bring the brick down into his skull with one good swing. This guy was a fighter, it wouldn't kill him, but holy crap was it going to hurt. Even if by some act of luck the ceiling collapsed or an explosion occurred it was unlikely Damon's fierce assault would be routed. It was too bad he wouldn't be able to carry through with all he intended due to the throbbing pain in his side.

Stopping that follow-up was the only plan Jason had left. He'd make enough distance to back-swing that hammer into his determined attacker.

As he tumbled over his attacker, his omnipresent inner voice both chided him and told him his remaining plan. The attacker was turning around quickly even after taking a decent hit. There wasn't any other way to get in a solid attack without being pounced.

"Impact!" he shouted, the incantation to detonate his hammer's charges now aimed into the roof. The force tore through the roofing, throwing snow and wood all over the rooftop. Jason lost his footing as the roof caved beneath him. Jason fell into the room below with his pursuer behind him.

The plan didn't end there. If Damon carried his frenzied assault into the falling opponent, he'd get a nasty surprise mid-air. Letting the opposing force of the impact swing the hammer wildly away, his right arm kept it gripped as it swung back around in recoil. Without even looking, he'd protect himself from being pounced before he fell into the room.

After the fall? That wasn't so planned. But he'd have some distance. Maybe too much.

Somewhere, in the distance, Mr. Menendez placed a final staple into a shingled roof. Wiping the sweat from his brow, he turned his attention to the horizon. "I'm needed somewhere else, now," he said in his native tongue.

Having only had to cover barely two feet, seeing as Jason had just tumbled down and not gone flying, and with his opponent staying prone, it was nothing for Damon to be upon his target within a second. His left hand gripped full of hoody and undershirt and yanking him up at full steam while his right hand dropping that brick towards the back of Jason's skull.

Then Jason shouted as the brick came down, and at the same exact moment that brick would have made contact, a massive explosion of sound, air and debris rocked the rooftop. It was as though Damon had dropped a megaton bomb onto the back of his opponents head. For a moment Damon almost that he had hit the guy with an psionic blast, till he realized that he hadn't felt any power leave his body.

Because of above mentioned getting on top into the mounted position and attacking, when the hammer came whipping back around, the haft only caught Damon across the shoulderblades. There wasn't any significant damage done other than the 'ompf' that most people make subconsciously when something hits them unexpectedly. So luck would cast her eye upon Damon for once during this fight.

Unfortunately there was no time for the silver haired warrior to take in and figure out what had just happened as the roof violently gave out underneath them. Everything got lighter and Damon's silver locks rose from his head as the started their decent, his response being to hang the ******** on to something - Jason's clothing.

DOWN THEY GOOOOO
