Stage0: Preliminaries

Undrgrnd Cage Match

An old classic with a bad habit of producing sub-par fights. Change this, please.

This steel cage prison holds two fighters captive as they are forced to fight for their freedom and glory over a featureless concrete floor. They have nothing to rely on other than themselves and the assortment of many weapons decorating the sides of the structure.

Terrain

General - Spectators present lining the outside of the cage, limiting area of effect attacks.

Weapons - Melee weapons from all nations line the wall of the cage. Give them a good tug to get them free.

Bonus Effects - You can't use strikers in the prelims, now you EXTRA can't use strikers.

Red Player: Stephen Lasanti

The spotlights all focused to one corner of the stadium as a figure entered. It appeared to be a very tall, muscular woman wearing a black mask with turquoise markings that covered everything, except the eyes, and the mouth, which had a screen like material to breathe through. Her brown hair did hang down her back, showing from beneath the mask, but it was held tight by a row of ponytail holders. Her seven foot musculature was rather daunting.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight's contest is scheduled for One Fall! Entering the ring, weighing in at 320 pounds! From Clete, Italy, THE AMAZONESS, Katie Gostik!"

The outfit she wore did not leave any secrets to the beholder. It was a really tight, pvc type material, not stiff or restricting. The shorts were, well, short with an opening slit on the hips that tied the material at the top. The top was skimpy also, giving a full view of her hard case abs. The shirt only had one sleeve, which was long while the other sleeve was completely absent. The material reached from her armpit of her bare right arm up to her shoulder of her left arm where it was completely covered in a sleeve. She was, also, wearing a black cape that had the same turquoise markings as her mask. Her boots came to her knees. They were also the same material and color as the outfit.

The fans went wild, raising their hands into the air and screaming for a cage match. The music playing matched the feeling in the air. Everyone wanted to see some action and blood. They were not going to go home disappointed.

The lights followed Katie as she walked down the aisle, passing a team of cameras and fans that were holding up a sign with her wrestling tag. She waved to them then thrust a fist into the air to get some hoots and howlers before moving towards the cage.

As she passed the cameras they would zoom in on her back to display her obsidian blade that was sheathed across it. The black metal was rather dull, not giving much of a gleam as cameras flashed.

Once she reached the cage boundary, she climbed up onto the platform and shoved her hands into the air, nagging the crowd on, even the booing was welcomed.

This fight would be nothing short of spectacular.

3Sutiiven

The fans settled down as the lights moved away from Katie in order to return to the entryway of the arena, the music quieting for a moment as the murmurs of the crowd focused on the coming opponent.

And then the music started, followed by the entrance of a long blond haired man with a long red jacket entering the arena.

"And her opponent! Weighing in at 180 pounds! From the city of Latent! The Spirit, Stephen Lasantiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!"

And once again, the crowd went wild. Lots of cheers, a fair share of jeers, but the crowd was excited for this match. The man confidently smiled and waved to the stands as he came down the ramp to the ring in the middle, the large daunting cage in front of him. What the hell made him agree to a cage match? Oh yeah, the fact that he's always wanted to have one... But that was beside the point. This was his big entrance into the tournament, and he wanted to kick some a** and take some names, and maybe give the crowd a good show at the same time.

As he came up to the edge of the cage, he turned to face the stands. He spread his arms out as if giving himself up to the fans and absorbing the passion they were returning, then gave a graceful bow. As he rose and touched his chest, then kissed the palm side of his right index and middle finger, then pointed out into the stands. He was doing that for one particular, extra special fan, but all the people cheering for him seemed to love it.

He turned and entered the cage, the attendants closing the door behind him and making sure to lock it tight so that neither competitor could get out. He flashed a cocky smile at his friend and opponent, whom was obviously getting into the cage match aspect 200%. He tried his best not to laugh, but he couldn't help but chuckle.

"Well well well, if it ain't Rey Mysterio."

He quickly took a trip around the ring, checking the weapons on the walls as well as the cage itself. Apparently satisfied, he settled himself on one "corner" of the ring ((presuming that it's a circular cage like the one in the picture and not a square one)) and awaited the bell and the start of the match.

4Pocket Gal

Katie stood proudly at her corner of the ring, hands on her hips, fingers splayed. She knew who that particular fan was that Stephen had just pointed out to the stands for. For a moment Katie thought of his daughter, but only for a moment and then she was back into combat mode.

"Yes, I hope you are enjoying this more than I am."

She wasn't particularly enjoying it, but the stipulation was that she had to dress up for her fans, so here she was. All adorned in a tight, ridiculously shiny outfit. She was sure if Stephen grabbed the right spot he would probably untie her shorts.

Katie did a quick one-two bounce on her feet while Stephen checked out the weapons, bringing herself out of her corner and closer to him as she did.

The bell rang, signaling the match to begin. She closed the gap rather quickly, but this was a match. She knew in the end they would still be friends, for now they fight.

Her feet hit the arena floor.

Thump, thump, thump.

Both of her fists were clenched. As she drove forward, she brought her right fist up to deliver a nice, clean blow to Stephen's face, aiming for his nose.

Her left fist was already up, ready to deliver another.

[1/10]

5Sutiiven

Stephen blinked for a moment as he was caught off guard by the sheer sound of Katie's footprints on the concrete floor. It was intimidating, but this was no time be caught off guard. As the amazonian woman came in with a punch, the significantly smaller man stepped to his left and forward, and blocked with his right arm in attempt to push the strike away. Simultaneously, he leaned his head away from the punching arm in case the block missed.

Successful block or not, he would then keep moving forward Sliding down the blocking arm and gripping the right wrist with his left hand, he would bring it forward into an elbow strike to Katie's stomach, using their momentum heading in opposite directions with the intention of hammering his opponent hard.

They were friends, but this was Heaven or Hell. Going all out was unnecessary in the prelims, but that didn't mean that a high level of competition wasn't expected. They were opponents first and foremost until this fight was over. Stephen was going to push the pace, and Katie, the newcomer to the tourney between the two, was going to have to keep up.

[1/10]

6Pocket Gal

Katie grinned as Stephen moved in for the block. She had anticipated that move. The only problem was he might have grabbed hold of her wrist, but that wasn't going to stop her or hold her as she moved, even if he managed an elbow strike at her stomach. She would flinch, but she kept on truckin'.

She hadn't come to a full stop as she came charging in, so as his left hand grasped her right wrist that said right arm would slightly turn to grab his wrist in return. He would find himself sliding across the floor for a few moments, nearly running into the corner post that was behind where Stephen was standing.

The momentum seemed to work in her favor, finding herself barreling on through gave her a slight advantage. She used a long leg to kick off the corner post with her left foot. Stephen was to her right from gripping her right wrist and her now holding his left wrist.

"KYAAAH!"

As her left foot tagged the post she would twist her hips to the right, jerking her right leg out as she swung her right foot around and slightly down at Stephen's face. She always had to aim down considering the height difference.

Her lovely revealing outfit would give Stephen a lot of leg to look at as it came striking out at him.

The crowd loved the action, not to mention all the visible skin Katie was flashing them. They roared as the two started to fight. Katie couldn't distinguish faces, but there was an occasional flash in the dark crowd to remind her they were there snapping pictures of the fight.

[2/10]

7Sutiiven

Stephen was easily drug behind Katie, his feet still on the ground as he tried to prevent the continued momentum. He was about to try and bash Katie in the hand around the nerves in order to cause her to react and release him when they came to the corner post.

As Katie's left leg tagged the post, the man would drop to his back, and as she kicked at where he was, he would be pulling up over his head, trying to swing Katie into the ground. He would probably be hit by some part of her due to her size, but he hoped this would effectively cause her to release his arm.

There was no way a man like him was gonna out muscle a woman like her, so he had to be crafty if he wanted to survive this.

[2/10]

8Pocket Gal

Hit by part of her, more like most of her.

As Stephen dropped to the ground Katie found her body being forced downward. Like it or not, she was in the air, so she couldn't use muscle to stop herself from being moved, but she would let go of his wrist. This would keep her from being slung over his head.

The only problem was that she was going to land on Stephen, whether he liked it or not. Her right leg would be the only thing that would not come down on him.

He would find a seven foot, 320 pound woman landing on him. It was crushingly close, and it would probably have knocked the breath out of him.

She had been close to Stephen before, but not this close. Her masked face was inches from his.

"I always knew you had a thing for me, Stephen, but you could wait to show your affection until after the fight. What would Karin think?"

If Stephen was like any other man she knew what she'd just said would knock him off balance slightly. She would even her remark out though. With their faces so close, she would lift her head back, grit her teeth and tighten her neck muscles as she brought her forehead crashing down to Stephen's nose for a headbutt.

WHACK!

She was playing dirty now, but she adored Stephen for even putting himself up to fight her.

[3/10]

9Sutiiven

Stephen grunted as the 320 pound woman dropped on top of him, but this actually gave him something of an advantage. He was on the move as Katie was talking, his left hand still free as she playfully spoke - fine in normal combat, but this was Heaven or Hell, and one had to be very careful about when to beat around the bush. Like now. For Katie had left him with options.

She would find his left hand shoved in her face, right around the eyes, followed by an twist on an all too familiar attack.

Quote: Flash Bomb: Sutii hurls a small orb of energy from his palm that, upon collision with a solid object, creates an explosion of light and concussive force, which can be used to momentarily blind or stun an opponent. This flash affects a 10 sq.ft. radius in all directions, but can be countered by a covering of one's eyes. R1. (Spiritual Ability)

He closed his eyes and simultaneously fired off an orb of energy from his hands at point blank, which would immediately explode upon contact with her face, engulfing the two of them in a bright flash of light and kicking back Stephen's hand painfully from the concussive force - and presumably giving Katie a hell of a headache.

The sequence of events leading up to this was fast and efficient. If Katie could escape this from her current position, then... well, let's not even go there.

[3/10]

10Pocket Gal

Katie's head would be coming down to make contact with Stephen's nose, which would be met by a blast to the face. It would meet at the top of her forehead, momentarily blinding her. Her head would jerk back from the force of the blow, but she wouldn't move off of Stephen.

"ERRRGH! ********! I CAN'T SEE!"

Her hands pushed down on his body, keeping him pinned. They would slide to his arms, grasping his biceps. Squeezing him tightly, she would stand with Stephen in her grasp and pull him in for what appeared to be a huge bear hug.

"GRUUAAAH!"

The headache was there, but it was being overridden by a surge of adrenaline rush. With Stephen in her grasp she would slam them both towards the ground again, bringing her full weight down on him for a powerful body slam onto the concrete floor.

That would have to knock the air out of him.

[4/10]

11Sutiiven

The effect was less than what he had hoped for but it was enough. He brought his left arm across his body, slipping away from his opponent's right arm attempt to grab the bicep, and began to try and elbow strike Katie in the face repeatedly. She still had him pinned by three limbs, but the fourth continued to fight back, giving Katie a nice reason to back the hell off.

If she was truly blinded from the light, she wouldn't know it was coming before it hit her, and if she tried to move out of the way, Stephen would just re-adjust the attack to follow, leaving her in a bit if a predicament until her sight returned if she so decided to stay where she was. Not to mention her already jostled head would probably not appreciate the continued blows to the face. Elbow strikes weren't the most pleasant of things to receive.

[4/10]

12Pocket Gal

THUD, THUD, THUD!

&********;

Katie got cracked into the face with an elbow, which brought her off of Stephen. At least by the time she was back on her feet her eyesight had started to return.

She blinked hard a few times as she backed off, until her vision was clear. With a quick leap, she was over the corner post and jumping onto the cage wall. Being in gymnastics helped her maneuver quite well. She was grabbing a couple of the weapons on the wall free.

With a leap, she was back on the concrete floor, spinning two things in her hands. In one hand she held a war hammer while in the other was a...skillet.

"Ah, what the hell...it'll work."

Once again, she was charging at Stephen. With a Xena battlecry she would bring her left hand up, whipping the war hammer at Stephen's chest. Her right hand would follow, cutting the skillet through the air to knock Stephen over the head.

[5/10]

13Sutiiven

Katie wasn't the only one going for a weapon - ironic since both of them were packing steel already, but what the hell, the gimmick was there, and they might as well use it. Stephen bolted over to the opposite end of the ring , quickly scanning the weapons for a good choice.

"Broadsword? No. Stop sign? No. Chainsaw? ...Tempting, but no. Steel chair? No. Battleaxe? No. Toilet seat? N- Wait, what the hell? beat Sledgehammer? No. Monkey wrench? No. Scythe? HELL YES!"

Stephen grabbed the Scythe from the wall and turned to face the charging Katie. The blade rested against the ground and Stephen gripped the base of the staff end with his left hand and higher up the staff with his right hand. In essence, he was holding the weapon like a hockey stick.

As Katie came in with her weapons, he used the lengthened range of the scythe like a bo staff and swung it up as she came in, hoping to either slash her across the chest or bash her in the face. At the same time he'd keep going to try and disarm the skillet wielding hand, and side stepping out of the way of the hammer coming down to crack his head open.

[5/10]

14Pocket Gal

"s**t!"

Katie frowned as Stephen brought down a scythe from the cage wall. She didn't have a scythe out of weapons to pick from. Oh well, she'd make do with what she had. She'd seen the damage that an iron skillet could cause.

As he brought that scythe up in her direction as she came in, she pivoted her right leg back, putting her left shoulder in line with Stephen's right shoulder, and jumped backwards to avoid the blade. It hit the side of her shorts as she moved, slicing right through the tied fabric, and it brought part of her shorts down, flapping against her hip.

"AW ********;

There was nothing she could do about that now. She looked back up at Stephen. A war hammer and skillet were not going to compete with a scythe, so she brought both arms up, hands at shoulder level and threw the war hammer and skillet right at Stephen.

WHOOSH WHOOSH!

The two weapons soared towards him, and while he was dodging them she was pulling her sword free, grasping it with both hands. She dropped the tip to her right side, her left arm across her chest.

[6/10]

15Sutiiven

Stephen ducked as the wayward frying pan and war hammer came crashing into the side of the cage, but did his best to keep focused. As he rose, he turned the scythe blade so that it was pointing to his right, readjusted his hands and slipped the blade in between Katie and her sword close to the woman's hands.

With a quick tug, he would attempt to pull the sword out of her hands and cause it to come to the ground. Whatever the outcome, he'd come back with a jab, using the dull top of the weapon's staff and blade to forcefully strike Katie in the stomach. This was much more than a little poke, this was a forceful stab with intent to make her double over in pain or at least wind her.

To finish up, he'd bring the weapon back, and swing the back end of the staff portion of the weapon from his right side in order to invert the weapon and attempt to crack Katie in the left side of the skull.

The versatility of the weapon was growing on the man.

[6/10]

16Pocket Gal

Katie's left arm was tight against her chest. She took one step back and pivoted with her right foot back, while her left foot held stationary, to avoid the scythe that Stephen was trying to bring between her arms, and as she did pivot she swung her sword upwards and out, like she was swinging a baseball bat, trying to knock him back from her. The two metals would collide, and his jab would slice through thin air since she had stepped to the left, which put her to an advantage.

She would push up with her sword to raise the scythe upwards, letting the two weapons latch like Stephen was going for, but as they latched onto one another she would jerk upwards with an obscene amount of force to pull his weapon free from his hands, sending it skidding across the concrete floor.

With a quick step forward she would thrust the heel of her right foot out at Stephen's chest to knock him back a few feet.

It was about that time that some newspaper reporter flashed a picture, blurring Katie's eyes for a moment. He was getting the shot he wanted. The moment she lifted her leg to kick Stephen her shorts nearly came completely free on the one side of her hip.

"AUGH! Son of a b***h!"

She stepped back, putting a hand out in front of her.

[7/10]

17Sutiiven

Stephen had a pretty good grip, but there was no way he could beat that level of muscle with it. What had now become his new unofficial favored weapon was sent skidding, causing him to panic for a second until the well timed fortune of the camera flash gave him a moment to run back to the weapons on the wall, grabbing the first thing in reach -

The toilet seat.

Who's sick idea was it to put this in a cage match anyway!?

Not stopping to ponder on it, the man quickly fired off another Flash Bomb to cause a distraction, his own eyes averted so as not to be blinded by his own attack.

The orb hit the ground and burst with light, giving Stephen hopefully enough of a distraction and cover that Katie wouldn't realize that he had jumped, kicked off of the nearest corner post, and was flying towards her with left hand pointing forward to aim, and a toilet seat in his right hand.

With full intent to smash the blunt edge over her head with all the extra momentum from the jump backing the one handed overhead swing.

Stephen Lasanti was jump kicking off of a corner post with intent to smack Katie Gostik, decked out in torn pro-wrestling gear, over the head with a toilet seat in the middle of a steel cage match.

Feel free to pause for a moment to take in exactly how ludicrous of a picture this makes.

[7/10]

18Pocket Gal

Katie looked up to a fleeing Stephen. Where the hell did he think he was going? If this had been just another one of their spars she would have quite literally facepalmed.

A toilet seat?

She was putting her sword back when Stephen went to throw another flash bomb. She had stepped back when he tossed it to the ground. Her face turned for a moment to avoid anymore blindness. She had enough for one evening.

Her hand reached behind her back as she turned away, and as she turned back around she would find Stephen lunging through the air to hit her over the head with a toilet seat. Well, she didn't back away from this oncoming onslaught of destruction from the toilet seat. It would probably just put a bump on her head.

She waited until the toilet seat smacked.

FUMP!

There was one looking angry face staring down in Stephen's direction, if he could have seen it beneath the mask. She wasted no time to toss the cape that was once on her back over Stephen's head to obstruct his view. In that moment, she lowered her head and bent down, much like a raging bull about to attack the cape, no pun intended. She lurched forward and brought her right shoulder crashing into Stephen's middle.

Quote: Dash: It's a push move where Katie uses the force of a powerful push with her arm and shoulder or a weapon to ram into the person and send them flying about thirty feet.

As he went flying the crowd roared and the announcer screamed out over the speakers.

"And Stephen Lasanti has been TACKLED!"

Katie came to a stop a couple steps after checking Stephen the hell out.

[8/10]

19Sutiiven

He hit! He actually hit! He couldn't believe he actually - wait, why was it getting dark all of a sudden?

WHAM!

Stephen indeed went flying straight into the corner, sprawled against the ropes. He blinked for a moment, and glanced at the now broken toilet seat. Dropping the weapon, he turned and climbed up to the top of the turnbuckle, and grabbed another close weapon: this time, the stop sign.

Wielding the thing like a spear in his right hand, he stood there, and flashed a cheeky two fingers at Katie in the "bring it" sign, smirking at his friend and opponent. Was he plotting something? Was he just being cocky? Just trying to screw with her head?

He wasn't telling. It was much more fun to keep it a surprise.

[8/10]

20Pocket Gal

Stephen was sprawled while Katie was trying to shake her head free of the cobwebs. The all familiar presence of blood was in her mouth from taking the toilet seat head on.

"Dammit."

She grumbled, ripping the damn mask off of her face, so that she could turn to the side and spit, leaving a blotch of red blood on the concrete floor. It was rather disgusting, but she wasn't about to swallow it. She turned back around, wiping the back of her hand over her mouth.

Nasty.

To her surprise Stephen was already back on his feet, climbing up the cage and going for a stop sign. She had to give him some kudos. She didn't know too many people that could have handle that tackle and got up so easily.

With a leap to her right, she was climbing back up to the array of weapons she had to choose from too. There wasn't a huge selection she didn't care to use. She went to reach for a flashlight, but instead jumped down, holding a metal chair in her hands.

She got down just in time to catch Stephen's two fingers "bring it" sign. Oh, this was about to get ugly.

Metal chair out in front of her she charged towards Stephen.

"GUUUUAAAAAH!"

Chair was ready for anything.

[9/10]

21Sutiiven

Yahtzee.

As Katie charged in, he'd ram the head of the stop sign into the ground and swung around to the side of Katie's current charge direction. As she came in and would no doubt change course to continue heading for Stephen, he would wait for her to get close then do a circular step back so that she would run past or have her attack miss. At the same time, he'd swing the stop sign around to smack her in the back of the head with the big red flat part, and would keep pushing with the intent to slam her down to the concrete floor.

The fight was coming into endgame, and Stephen was going for checkmate.

Would Katie evade the attack? Would she hit the man with an attack of her own? Time was running short and the both of them had to push to the limit if they wanted to come out on top.

Of course, this was just the prelims. Low stress, have fun, do your best. The real test would be in the tournament proper.

[9/10]

22Pocket Gal

Hell no, Katie wasn't going to stop, not even with a red sign signaling her to. She kept on truckin', pistons moving. He could play with that stop sign all he liked. That wasn't going to stop her from what she was about to do.

She dropped the chair to her right side then with all the strength she could muster she threw that thing freakin' hard at him in the direction that he had moved as the gap closed between the two.

The stop sign came around, but she was already lunging in Stephen's direction. There was nothing like having such a long object swinging in the air. It left a huge spot open for a move, and Katie took that move.

Instead of being hit with the stop sign she was getting a stiff arm to the face and part of a pole to the head. She lunged towards him with intent on knocking him off of his feet.

"GUUUH!"

That pole to the head was going to hurt later.

[10/10]

23Sutiiven

Stephen got the hit, he was pleased with that. The chair to the face, however, was not appreciated. But alas, there was nothing he could do at this point, save releasing the stop sign and reeling backwards. Those things were a lot harder than they looked, but compared to the pole of the stop sign, he couldn't complain too much.

As he fell onto his backside, he shook his head for a moment to regain his senses before getting up to his feet. He shifted into a fighting stance and was thinking about what to do next when -

BEEP!

The man was almost taken off guard from the sound, but then glanced at his FIGHTER. Apparently the rest of the arena knew what that meant as well, cause a large "Awwwww..." echoed around the arena.

He glanced over at Katie and smiled. The match was over. They could talk and laugh about this. She'd probably be a little pissed at the head shots, but she'd be okay... hopefully.

He walked over to Katie and grabbed her left arm in his right and raised their arms up, waving with his free hand to the spectators. If nothing, the man was a good sport.

Their preliminary match was over, but the tournament was only just beginning.

[10/10]
