Stage9: Brown Estate

Winter Gardens

You know, I like the gardens enough in the spring. All the colours and all that are beautiful, everything seems so alive. But with the snow and the ice, well, I think I like that too.

The snaking pathways between estate gardens have been covered by a layer of snow, the flower beds emptied, and the water fixtures are all frozen. There are a few barren but well landscaped trees and bushes, but evergreen seems to be the tree of choice. There appears to be a shed carelessly left open. The main pathway leads up to the estate's front door.

Terrain

General - Snow conditions. Connected to the interior.

Weapons - Branches, a shed full of tools.

Bonus Effects - Ring out rules have been suspended, free travel is allowed between the four brown estate threads. However, if you do not link your exit and entrance posts together (that is a link in each), you will be red carded.

White cards will be let free for intentional interference with other fights.

2Dear Princess Molestia

This sucked. There was snow, she wasn't pleased about the results of her last fight, and she was here alone.

3Oncle Roen

" Those who fight and run away.., " Roen whispered, coming up from behind Rachel Arai and brushing past as he arrived uncharacteristically early to the beginning of Round Three. No need to complete the rhyme which described the woman he stepped past so perfectly. The leathery hide of his tail snapped behind him as it followed suite, the spaded-tip rising in a curl as to avoid grazing the snowy ground beneath. If he was cold, he made no mention of it nor did his body betray. Stepping onto the main pathway and settling himself, Roen's arms would raise and cross upon his chest.

Two more members from both sides needed to appear before the event could be started.

4Bustah Wolf

Crunch crunch crunch.

Joey padded along the deep snow on the path leading up to a mysterious shed. His surroundings were very peaceful, an ornate garden with a white cloak of snow covering everything.

He was wearing a brown bomber jacket with a single white stripe down the left breast. Underneath a white button up shirt and some jeans. On his feet, a pair of classic green print converse. The falling snow caused his usually crazy hair to appear quite normal, hanging down lazily at either side of his face.

He squinted a little, spotting two figures standing a little further ahead. Calmly approaching he soon realized one of them was his teammate, Rachel. He hadn't seen her in a while being as he missed their last match..but that was another story. The other he had no idea about, but he had a tail. Weird guy.

"Yo." He called out, nodding his head slightly to Rachel whilst keeping his hands stuffed tightly in his pockets.

5Dear Princess Molestia

While she stood there sulking and kicking at the snow that covered the ground the sound of snow grew louder as a person moved closer. Lifting her head to turn and look behind her, the man was already passing by. His queer voice had started to recite some lyric, but she didn't recognize it off of the top of her head. The way he walked pass, he pretended to be more of a woman than her. As he moved pass her in his flamboyant stride, Rachel's eyes lowered to see his tail. This f** had lost it, but that seemed to have been the case with a lot of the clowns who had entered this tournament.

Her attention so stuck on analyzing the hot mess that had just pass her she hadn't noticed the heavy sound of approaching footsteps. It wasn't until a familiar voice passed her that she was snapped from the disgusting spell of supposedly one of her opponents. This voice, it immediately caused emotion to swell with in Rachel. Anger, hatred, a bit of confusion. A mixture of the cold wind against her skin and the surging feeling in her chest caused tears to fall down her cheek. Face flushed red, Rachel quickly turned to face the man who presented her the nonchalant greeting.

As if steam were coming from her ears Rachel moved forward, roughly she pushed her palms out against his chest to push Joey back in a hostile way. Her face was distorted into a furious expression, her muscles tense, she couldn't help but to yell at him.

"And where the hell have you been?!"

Rachel moved forward to push at his chest again, harder, she was upset and she wanted him to know just how disgusted she was. This probably wasn't the best time to put on a show of internal drama, but when a young lady was so riled up already she sometimes would lose her ability to be rational. In her mind, Joey was the reason she had to stitch her flesh along with her coat, that the pain she endured was fruitless, it was all his fault.

"What kind of captain are you?! Deserting responsibility to spend a day with a whore!"

She didn't know if that were true, she didn't care, but she had imagined she could still smell cheap perfume upon his clothes, and even see the lustful red along his color. Angry people could make up reasons to be angry.

6Oncle Roen

" Discontent amongst the ranks. " He chided, brows perking up as he watched with genuine interest~

7Bustah Wolf

"..What the..?!"

Before he knew what was going on, Joey was being pushed back by the angry girl. She was yelling something at him. He didn't make it all out due to the initial shock of her tantrum, but he knew what was wrong anyway.

A second shove caused him to stumble back a bit, forcing him to pull his arms from his pockets to stabilize himself. He pushed his hair from his face as he stood up straight again and adjusted his coat.

"Yeah. Sorry about that." he said plainly, hunching his shoulders. Then, he crossed his arms and slouched a little, staring blankly at Rachel. He turned his gaze to the man who was standing nearby. "Now isn't really the best time for this discussion though, is it?"

8Bellanox Fatalis

The crunch of snow carrying in from a distance announced the approach of yet another of the contests participants. But which one would not be revealed to the eyes right away. That is not until the tall figure of one Bellanox Fatalis stepped from around a well manicured Evergreen, resplendent in a long coat of sheepskin, it's fur lining the inside to keep the Gypsy warm in the winter conditions.

Into park like setting of the gardens she strode, gloved hands hidden in deep warm pockets. Quite close to where she'd emerged, stood an unknown female and male. Not far from those two, standing proud and confident was one Roen Jaeger, her own teams captain. Cool, calm and collected as always, his easy air of refined sophistication in almost direct contrast to his slightly scruffy appearance. It was toward him that she walked, her boots crunching into the snow to leave a perfect trail of foot prints behind her.

"Interesting setting eh boss?" She quipped, coming to a stop beside her fearless leader. "It'll be covered in bloody slush by the time this round is finished."

9Dear Princess Molestia

The tone of his voice, the way he stood. Did he even care? The fact that Rachel didn't think he did made her even more upset. At her sides both of her fists curled tightly, she felt as if she wanted to explode. Normally she'd force all of her effort into holding back whatever tears would come, it was so uncool to cry, but she just couldn't. Like the snow below her the tears caused her cheeks to glisten in light. For a moment the water in her eyes caused the image of Joey to blur.

"Oh, so when's a better time to chat it up? When we're on a train home because you're busy being a p***k?!"

She spoke quickly, so fast that her words were almost running together. It wasn't until after she finished that the snide remark from the man who had walked pass just moments earlier. Her head was spinning. she didn't care who or what she snapped at. Turning herself away from Joey for the moment to face this man, she became even more disgusted by him. Not only did he seem to enjoy the conflict at hand, he had assumed a comfortable position, as if he had nothing to worry about. Her right hand shot up to her chest level, the middle finger pointing up towards his direction from her fist. And who was this with him now?

"You keep to yourself you fairy or I'll shove something bigger than a pecker up your bloody a**! You too you skank!"

10Unknown

"Against the law?"

Arian had shown up.

The pretty, dusky skinned native was no longer the beautiful looker-not right now. Sure, you could tell she WAS or COULD be pretty-but with the stitches along the right side of her jaw, the clench of her jaw, wired shut, the bad bruising on either side of it, the stitching across the bridge of her nose that attached it back in place, the two shiners around those pretty, vibrantly blue Caribbean eyes-well, she looked like she'd gotten the s**t beat out of her, is what she looked like.

And she had. But hey-the other guy needed a new reproductive system, so la de freaking da.

Cloak was closed around the woman's five foot two body, a well toned, fit build, leather torso armor with a high collar. A weapon belt hung off one curved and leather armored hip, leather flaps coming down over her thighs for better protection and to keep from showing off her entire pair of legs.

Glossy dark hair-shorter now than when she started-was left down, chin length, as the pretty woman looked over the scene she was coming upon. Already heard the bullshit.

...God, that kid.

Carefully touching her jaw, the metal in place assured her a little. She would do what she had come here to do. Drama be damned.

Came to a stop, neither standing on the right with the opposing team-nor on the left with Team Britain. Damn near right in the center, apart from them all, watching silently. Studying.

Hm. Let's not have a repeat asskicking...shall we? God-on national television too...damn.

Well, this would go better. Hopefully.

Rachel's words weren't entirely understood by the Island native-but the tone was. Arian's eyes cut to the girl again, and she gave a curt shake of her head.

"Hush." Was issued from the natives full lips, though they parted just barely.

Seriously-did she HAVE to start yelling and screaming for no reason? Jesus.

"You're seriously warning me of that? Seriously?"-Arian Lennox

11Oncle Roen

The corner of his mouth tugged into a pompous smirk as he watched Team Britain tear itself apart from within. Uncrossing his arms and dismissing Rachel Arai with a negligent flick of his wrist as the loud and obnoxious nuisance (an adorable nuisance, of course.) that she was, Roen turned around and used that same hand to silence whatever rebuttal Bellanox had in store for the fiery woman now behind him. " Be easy, my loyal one. There will be a time in a place for revenge, and now is not that time. " That smirk soon lessened a degree in the face of Bellanox's most likely seething anger, so Roen leaned in close to place one warm hand ontop of Bellanox's head. " People have to sleep sometimes, no? " Ah, the fatherly smile. The way one would dote upon a close kin. Bellanox was family, as was the rest of Team Cannon Fodder.

And speaking of which, where was the lovable Aden? A shame what Eclipse did to the Chevalier, Roen hoped the man was not bed ridden with pain. And Chance, poor Chance. It did make the sociopath's stomach cringe to think of Chance's previous condition. Burned as he was in such. Sighing and running his fingers through Bellanox's hair, hopefully quelling her rising rage for the time being, Roen would ruffle up the purple strands and drop his hand away.

The pep speech would have to wait until either the second human or the Blood Child of his team showed up.

12Bustah Wolf

Joey stood still as she continued. Looking through her with an emotionless expression on his face. As her eyes began to glisten with tears, he let out a brief sigh and glanced to the side a little, at which point he noticed Arian. He gazed at her for a second, examining her damaged face. Was she in a good enough state to fight?

He turned back to Rachel who was now grilling the other team. She was pretty riled up. Joey walked forwards a few paces, standing in front of Rachel and blocking her from the other teams view. He eyed over the creepy guy with the tail, who was..stroking..the furry one.

"Where's the rest of your team?" he asked bluntly, meeting Roen's eyes with a lazy stare.

13Oncle Roen

Another offhanded gesture with his hand. Indeed, Roen was as flamboyant as what's-her-face thought.

" Keep your knickers on, one of them should be coming. "

Damn the Bloody Seer, it was cold.

14Bellanox Fatalis

"You are correct as usual my friend."

Obvious disdain was the thing most reflected in the single glance that Nox spared for the obnoxious shrew who spat both threats and insults at them. Funny that even a woman such as Bellanox, who had little in the way of social grace should be better behaved in a public place. In fact that notion itself, coupled with Roen's consolatory quip brought the slightest smile to curl one edge of her lips.

"Indeed they do my friend." She responded with a chuckle, turning away from the internal beefs existing within team Britain.

Seizing an opportunity to divert the sputtering woman's rage from himself, the other team's Captain(?) jumped on the 'pissy' band wagon like a bumpkin jumping on a village hay ride. Truth was, his attitudes insinuation that Team Cannon Fodders remaining members would not show was completely unfounded.

Ah well. Some people simply can not be civilized. But then again, were I him and some woman were to chastise me in public like an errant school boy with a perpetual boner I'd be pissy too.

This she thought but did not say. No need to sink to their level. Her only response to him being a derisive snort from over her shoulder. Then she turned away from him, eyes of creamy jade once again seeking Roen's face.

"Any word on Chance's recovery?"

15The Crossed Fox

Aden showed up at the Winter Gardens. The scene reminded him of an archive film he saw between a Native American named Deitric, and a Samurai named Kuroha. If Chance were here, he'd probably randomly reminisce on those times, and bring up details on whom that Samurai was. For now though, Aden had to wait for such explanations, if they were to ever come to him.

He seemed ready for anything, even with the cold weather that surrounded both he and his teammates. Roen was here, and it seemed two of Team Britains had showed up as well, at least. Aden wasn't particularly glad they had been knocked down a notch in the tournament, but hey, you win some, and lose some. He was just going to take that frusteration and aim it towards whoever he was going to decimate this round. He approached Roen, and addressed him,

"Roen," he said. "Am I late?"

He seemed innocent in tone, as if readying himself to be scolded by the Captain.

16Rawrlicia

"Against the law?"

((Waves a little I'm about too...))

Well. She's been left alone. Good.

She hardly felt like mentally translating English as it was.

Not going to be the first to fight this time, no way in hell-Arian cursed the cold that was seeping into her shattered jaw, still healing up, forever doomed to have metal in it.

Ah well.

She backed off a step, no longer interesting in studying who was there-when some other fellow showed up.

There we are-three and three.

Someone named Chance was no here, in bad condition, apparantly.

Arian certainly sympathized-if the fourth Team Britain member had been about, bet your a** she'd be in the suite, sleeping off a nice dose of painkillers.

But no-no painkillers, and here she was.

Arian found a wire chair, snow covered. Her left gloved hand wiped the snow off in a swipe-then she turned and had herself a seat, the thick cloth of the cloak protecting the backs of her legs, as Arian pulled it closed to keep warmer.

Out of the way now, she would just...watch, for now.

Resist the want to crash and burn, without ever having made a move.

Oi. Team Britain's outcast was not in the best of shape.

"You're seriously warning me of that? Seriously?"-Arian Lennox

17Rawrlicia

((Heading off to bed, sorry guys. Waves, crashes))

18The Thunder Tyrant

Hey, dammit.

Deitric isn't Native American.

He just looks it.

At least, that's what one spectator thought while breaking the 4th wall really hard.

"Woo, let's go.. Uh.. You guys! Yeah!"

And where was this spectator? Probably off in some ******** sort of place, watching this match on TV. And yeah, he was shouting encouragement. At his TV.

19[Chance]

Crunch Crinch, Crunch

Crunch Crinch, Crunch

The sound of two solid legs, paired with a cane. Moving through the snow.

20[Chance]

[ Garden ]

"Any word on Chance's recovery?"

Chance came behind Nox, resting his hand on her shoulder. "He died, I'm afraid." He gave a pained smile, and popped a white tablet in his mouth.

He chewed the pill into dust, quickly swallowing to ease the horrid taste. Kristopher was pretty sure the prescription stated to swallow whole, but this gave him far more pain relief. With all that modern SCIENCE had done for him, he was still stuck with a cane, and a couple bottles filled to the brim with painkillers.

Chance quickly pointed to the woman across the way, taking her seat on a wire frame chair. "I want that one Daddy." He laughed, obviously speaking to one of the men on his team. Yes sir, Chance was drugged.

21GuyaStealsFrom4chan

CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH

A giant walking piece of metal boomed onto the scene. Every step sounding off loudly around the otherwise quiet garden. Alex's seven foot form strode confidently towards the group, his face..and the rest of his body concealed by thick armor and a heavy air of "this snow is pissing me off" attitude.

Arriving finally he peered around at the group of kids, arguing like they were in some playground or something. Pathetic. Why haven't they started fighting yet? By the side of his footsteps left in the ever thickening snow behind him, was a single line. This was caused by the giant axe he was dragging along with him, it was covered in blood. Perhaps a clue to his wherabouts for the last two rounds, perhaps not.

Stopping, the behemoth glanced at everyone who had gathered. Peering through the two slats in his helmet, his eyes fell on the girl sitting down. She was ****** up. Too ****** up to fight and everyone here knew it.

"She isn't in any condition to fight. Her jaw is ******** crumbled."

He bellowed out to anyone in range of his loud booming voice. He heaved the axe up onto his shoulders and walked up as to stand beside Joey, dwarfing the Muay thai fighter.

22Rawrlicia

"Against the law?"

She's being pointed at. Arian's eyes flicked to the man who seemed...well...kind of off his rocker. Must be chance. Must be drugs. Ah, those had been kind of nice...

He wanted to fight her?

Splendid-Arian wasn't going to try talking, merely lifted her left hand and gave a thumbs up sign. Good with her.

No-GREAT with her. This way, he takes a cheap shot for her jaw-she can deal one right back out. (Scrambles to go see where he's injured)

And then...Arian's relatively good and flowing mood was spoiled by the appearance of a giant.

Well, not his appearance so much-but his eyes on her, and then-

"She isn't in any condition to fight. Her jaw is ******** crumbled."

WHAT?!

Arian was on her feet in an instant, highly offended. She had NOT gotten the ****** cut open and set with metal so quickly for ****** NOTHING!

RAAAAGE!

Sorta. She glared daggers at him, and then, of course-Arian flipped him off, a nice, new gesture she's recently learned.

"******** you...buddy." She half hissed, half said, not at all appreciating the belittling remark, the arrogant assumption he knew better than she did if she could fight or not.

If Arian wasn't concerned about a card, she might have knifed him then and there.

Glared, stayed standing, and resembled an angry and startled cat.

Kind of amusing-the metal giant towered over the Islander's five feet, two inches. She turned to Chance. "You and me. Not him." Stated, and fuuuuck it hurt to talk.

There. She had her opponent. Try and see Alex put her out now, b*****d.

Arian retook her seat with a huff. Again-she didn't want to go first. If she had to, fine-but she had last time, and didn't exactly want to go right the ******** now, okay?

((Waves My character's not me! Reminds, cowers))

"You're seriously warning me of that? Seriously?"-Arian Lennox

23Rawrlicia

((Has to go to class))

24Bustah Wolf

Well now, this was interesting. In some kind of miracle occurrence the entirety of Team Britain were all in one place. Joey merely stood, confused by the sudden appearance of Alex and his big mouth. This was added to by the appearance of another guy, who seemed pretty..weird. And supposedly wanted to fight Arian..who was flipping off Alex. "Wonder where she learned that from." Joey thought to himself, shooting a glance at Rachel.

Sighing, Joey scratched his head. All this drama and they hadn't even started fighting yet. He turned to Alex, not bothering to hurt his neck by staring up at his face. "You're late. I think Arian is already paired up." Joey turned back to look at Team Cannon Fodder. Another man had shown up too. It was a strange spectacle to see eight very different people standing around in the snow yelling at each other. Joey face palmed.

25Unknown

"Against the law?"

"Indeed." Arian uttered through barely parting full lips from her current seated position, watching Alex with a predatory, coiled temper sort of fire. Like all her words, her English carried a slight but exotic sounding accent to them, harsh sounds softened, vowels carrying a pleasant, special lilt to them. Courtelli was a musical language indeed-and it was next to impossible to keep her accent out of her English.

She could do it. But only if she talked slower than an elderly woman doing ten miles an hour on a seventy five mile an hour highway.

Watched Alex. Temper was kept in check however-she had little desire to look like a damned fool.

Well, anymore a fool than she already looked, given that last fight.

And her outburst and use of newly learned obscene gestures....dammit.

Ah well. Arian ignored her jaw and was slightly envious of the drugged Chance-while pondering things. Had Alex wanted to take Arian's place in the fight-he had gone about it the wrong way.

Arian wasn't such a bad sort, if you dealt with her right. But loudly proclaiming her unfit to battle was NOT the right way, not even close-any suggestion of superiority was just not handled well.

Sure, there were plenty of fighters better than she was. Arian didn't mind that. She didn't HAVE to be at the top. Like that last guy, for instance. he had kicked her a-at the cost of his manhood, but still kicked her a-and Arian didn't hate him or anything. No-that fight had been fun, until her jaw got broken.

But she had learned something, hadn't she?

And to a self trained warrior, that was all that mattered.

So. Arian was of the firm opinion Alex could go to hell. She wouldn't have given up her chance to fight for any reason, now-just because in her mind, doing so was admitting she was somehow weaker than he was, or a coward.

Arian might not have been the best fighter here, but she sure as ******** wasn't a coward.

...

From her seat, Arian pulled a purple, square of purple plastic and electronics from her belt. Flipped it open-and began to play a recently acquired Gameboy Advance SP. Had to distract herself SOME way, while there wasn't a fight going on, didn't she?

Gotta love Mainlanders and their nifty little gizmos...seriously. She very much enjoyed virtually beating the s**t out of random opponents with this Chun Li person. Kept her distracted-well, as distracted as Arian ever got, anyway.

She'd bought this thing after sneaking out of the hospital. Why? Because she could, that's why.

The sound effects of the game might carry a bit, but not much. She was keeping tabs on the other people about-but not visibly. For all appearances, the branded outlaw was intensely focused on the Gameboy game. She'd put it down when she DID fight-just in case a judge counted it as added equipment.

Though shoving a gameboy down someone's throat just wasn't cool. And the Chance person didn't seem to be the type to piss her off to that uncool extreme.

So. She'd set it down when she had to fight.

"You're seriously warning me of that? Seriously?"-Arian Lennox

26Dear Princess Molestia

Trying to hide something didn't mean that it all of a sudden went away. Rachel hadn't bothered to try and shove Joey out of the way, he was trying to settle business and get this thing moving. She could be patient, she would stand there and let her anger bottle up more while waited. Another match was thrown into the fuel at the reply of Cannon Fodder's captain.

Wait? Us wait?!

It didn't make sense to her. For them to have to wait for one of them before getting this started? And in the snotty attitude to shot with it. Rachel was at that point ready to leap across and make him into the woman he wanted to be. But a series of events happened that delayed her actions. Another man came about and he spoke. Did he have an accent...And then shortly after another man. No surprise he sounded just as batty as the rest of the bunch. And then another man..This one was a familiar voice, and much like when Joey showed up, it ignited the anger with in. It was all of a sudden too much, there was no cage able to contain this beast.

Rachel shoved aside Joey as his facepalmed himself to bring herself to the front. She looked over the motley crew that had formed, nothing more than a freak show. But for the moment, her mind was set on the accent that she had heard. There was no way of hiding it, even the most experienced actors from that realm trying to imitate a Chicago accent failed. There was no denying what he was, and what he was pissed her off more than the f** from earlier. Not only were these people fags to begin with, they somehow historically and even presently thought they had a pair to control people more powerful than them.

"Is that a filthy frog I hear? I know it must be one, that rotting stench of a coward only protrudes from south of the Channel. "

Her mean eyes shifted to the rather tall and handsome gentleman. Out of the bunch, he was the only one capable of putting off such a voice. It sickened her. It angered her. Out of all of the people there, there was no one she would have taken more pleasure of stomping than him. Her attraction to him, or to destroying him more to say, caused her to step forward to the center of the two groups. With the waving of her hand, her middle finger, she dared him to come.

27Oncle Roen

Kamiha Sayuri Wrote:

"Is that a filthy frog I hear? I know it must be one, that rotting stench of a coward--"

Nods of acknowledgment were given to both Chance and Aden before Roen turned his back on the lot of them to look at the loud mouth.

"Shaddup, you trick!" He would announce with outrage. " Get off my walkway and stand on the sidelines like the excess baggage you are! "

Not even Roen's Lady Killer perk could save Rachel from his provoked wrath.

" Yahh, Trick! Yah! Get on out of here! " An aggressive wave of his hand to dismiss the potty mouth was given. " Git, Git! " DeSeer damn, no wonder she was in the low-tier.

28GuyaStealsFrom4chan

Roen Jaeger Wrote:

Suddenly, a mixture of snow and frozen earth was spat up into the mans face as Alex scuffed the ground infront of him with his massive armoured boot.

"Stop running your mouth little man. No-one's interested." The giant man slung his double headed axe over his shoulder and peered down at the man through the slats in his helmet. He smiled grimly.

29Dear Princess Molestia

Just as she was ready to give this man a verbal lashing he would never forget, this bear of a man stepped forward. It wasn't often that she saw this mammoth, and even less often that she heard his speak. The man did fit the mythical image of a bear. Loyal, peaceful, a longer. He kept to himself and took his own, and only attacked once provoked. Those who dared to face his wrath normally wouldn't make it alive. That's exactly how she thought of this man. The very nature of his presence stopped playing and brought immediate attention to the matter at hand. With him stepping up, she had nothing to say, there was little benefit to pressing his nerves.

Rachel retreated, crossing her arms over her chest. Her chin turned upward she sucked on her lips and glanced away from the man who tried to taunt her. It was probably for the best that she didn't injure his pride anymore than already done.

"I'll leave the princess troll and his Mickey Mouse gang to you then. I don't even know why waste time entertaining the bunch of maggots, they brought us a lame duck for God's sake."

30Bustah Wolf

Joey merely raised a brow. Seemed as if Alex was stepping in to defend Rachel. Kinda unlike him, but admirable all the same. Joey walked back to where Rachel had went and stood besides her, crossing his arms and watching the action unfold.

It had been a while since he had seen his friend fight, so it would be an interesting experience. As he watched, his mind raced back to the trip down to the hotel, whilst he and Alex had shared the tour bus. He had been so different then, dressed in his suit and pampered at every chance. Now here he was standing in full body armour wielding a giant axe.

Joey chuckled a little at the thought before turning his mind back to the task at hand. His eyes wandered over to the other team. Chances were he would have to fight one of them soon enough.

31Oncle Roen

Snow and dirt kicked into his face? Certainly grounds for being flagged. Berated for his stature? Down right disrespectful. This giant of a man was certainly on the right road for a major a** kicking.

"You've got some nerve.. " Roen would say as he wiped his face clean on the sleeve of his arm, idly stepping away from the gathered congregation of Cannon Fodder to approach Alex. "I like that. A bigger pair on you than the set on that harlot in the back for sure." Eyeing Alex up and down, Roen pursed his lips in contemplation. Guy looked like a giant tin-can. "You sure you're going to be able to fight such a guy like me in all that armor? Or should I give you some time to get more comfortable?"

32GuyaStealsFrom4chan

Alex laughed and brought the axe off of his shoulder and into his other hand, holding it diagonally across his chest. He was fully clad in his custom armor, from head to toe. The bear insignia on his chest plate matching the carved face of a bear-like monster on his faceplate. The helmet also sported two rather nifty horns that were roughly two feet long and facing forwards.

"Trust me. I am more than comfortable enough in this." He called out. Fact is, after a warrior spends so much time in such finely built armour, there is no other garb that could feel as comfortable. His movements weren't hindered at all.

"Now!" He growled, bending down slightly and tucking his chin into his chest, the giant horns on his bear shaped helmet aiming straight for Roen. "Enough talk!" He began a slow run towards the tailed man, not fast enough to run straight into some kind of surprise attack, but not slow enough to be charged either. Each step compressed the snow beneath him, and left thick chiseled footprints in his wake.

[1]

33Oncle Roen

Despite what was expected from one as confrontational as Roen Jaeger, he did not throw himself into the fray. Why? Because he was a sociopath, not *bat-s**t crazy. Alex wasn't just taller then him, Alex towered over Roen. Little man? That didn't even scratch the surface of the difference in size between the two. So, like any other person with a reasonable common sense, Roen began to back away. Going toe to toe with Alex was only inviting defeat, and though Roen might have gotten away with it in past fights with 'tall' people such as Valentine and Maximos, different tactics would have to be employed to be victorious against a beast such as this. Raising his arms and beckoning Alex to come, Roen summoned his pompous smirk once again. Yeah, no words were necessary. A slow run, an even slower back pedal, Alex was almost upon the Devil who had yet to unsheathe either of the blades clearly seen on his person.

"Against the law?"

Game boy had been lowered, Arian idly pressing the kick button-but her attention was fully on the fight.

She didn't know much about Alex. Or the opponent, Roen. Her beautiful but currently ******** up face remained impassive, at the moment-though her eyes, the vibrantly colored Caribbean blues-were watching with interest. Curious. Very, very curious. And a fight was always something to catch her attention.

A death cry from the little game boy sp speaker. Arian glanced down to it. Chun Li had been murdered.

Dammit.

Arian brought her other hand back to the gameboy and began kicking a**, but she was more watching the current fight than playing the game.

Strange outlaw.

35GuyaStealsFrom4chan

When in range (the axe is about 4 foot long, so he's stopping at about 4.2 feet.) Alex would stop running and swing his axe, teeth gritting, horizontally from right to left. As he swung his right hand let go of the axe hilt, whilst his left held the grip tightly, making it a kind of "back hand swing" if it had to be named.

Alex's superhuman strength caused the blood-hungry axe to scream as it cut through the air, looking to lodge itself into Roen's mid-torso. As he moved, his feet dug into the ground, expertly supporting his body as a mass of weight shifted from one side of him to the other.

He guessed that Roen's blades weren't four foot long, the man was far too small to wield weapons of that length. He was pretty sure he'd be in safe range of a counter strike. And if the man launched an attack before Alex swung he'd have more than enough time to react. Of course Alex wasn't conscientiously going through these plans. He was a born warrior. He'd analyze and react to a situation before even realizing what he was doing.

[2]

36Oncle Roen

Improvisation: The mark of a true warrior. It was something Roen was bound to see in Alex as the match progressed, but for now it was just the tedium of examining each other through a series of swings with sharpened metal objects. While Alex was slowing to a halt and hefting the girth of his axe, Roen spun around. A complete one-eighty. From there it turned into the fluidity of cowardice - Roen darted away while raising his left hand to the leather-wrapped hilt of his World Splitter. World Splitter. It certainly had to be longer than four feet to be given such a title, and indeed so it was! Unfortunately, not everything was perfect. Just as Alex was uncertain of Hræðilegr's length, Roen was far from certain as to how fast the seven-foot tall man was able to swing his mighty axe. When Roen turned the other way and darted, one foot after another, he was very much aware of the graze that touched his back - the price of his gamble. The thick fabric of his greatcoat was neatly cut through whilst the riveted mail beneath instantly dented from the force. Any closer, due to Alex's strength, and it would have cleaved right through Roen's hidden armor and rented open his back.

It went to show that Roen was not going to get away with taking blows and retaliating. One clean axe-strike meant game over, and he would notice it soon enough. Now, though, was a different story in entirety.

Having barely missed being rented open from behind, Roen unsheathed the massive (yet slender) World Splitter from his back, his right hand immediately shooting up to grasp the bottom of its hilt tightly. Having stepped a good foot or so from where Alex stopped to swing, the Devil planted his right foot forward to slow his burst of speed before it was followed suite by the left. Far from being able to stop on a dime, it took a considerable amount of effort (and a pause and then some) on his part to effectively twist his torso to the right and push off of his left foot for the swing to come..

Another gamble. He had to hit the exposed right flank of Alex with enough force to buy him some time to run away once again, or perhaps something even better. Gorilla tactics to be sure, but when dealing with a monster of a man, they were necessary. Flooding the World Splitter with his supernatural perceptions and hence forth grasping the energy within to augment his own inhuman strength, the Devil swung from outside of Alex's right flank in. DeSeer, let it knock him over. Let it stun him long enough to follow up with a combo. The obsidian colored seventy-two inch sword glimmered above the ivory colored snow, hurtling towards Alex's exposed hip(? Above the hip?) Give or take the mans proportions when considering Roen's own height of five-foot-eight. How the Devil never swung so hard in his life.

37GuyaStealsFrom4chan

The axe cut through leather and completed it's arc with a fluid circular motion of the arm that brought the weapon swiftly up and over Alex's head. He simultaneously brought up his right hand to join his left on the hilt of the weapon. He'd not waste the momentum he had built by rigidly stopping the axe, no. The axe was a weapon that counted on momentum for damage..well, momentum and sheer brute strength..of which Alex had plenty.

The one foot gap between them would be easy for the seven foot man to stride over whilst at the same time bringing his axe downwards with savage force, he wasn't gonna let him run. As Roen took the time to come to a halt, draw his weapon and turn to strike Alex, the axeman would already be ontop of him, cleaving down with all his might.

Alex had Subconsciously noted that Roen had drawn his surprisingly large sword with his right hand, and in turn would angle his body slightly to the left, looking to smash his axe into somewhere on Roen's right hand side. This would cleanly interrupt Roen's planned sword arc with some precise zoning. (Where you were going to swing into Alex's back would now be occupied by the axe's shaft, whilst the head would be looking to lop off the end of your swinging arm.)

In a perfect world it would land directly on his forearm, cleaving the limb clean off and disabling the man's sword arm, but the fact that it would stop Roen's weapon was enough to make it a worthwhile attack.

38[Chance]

Chance usually disapproved of pharmaceuticals, but after spending the last few days in a liquid filled tank, recovering from his burns, he'd changed his mind. While the burns had been healed, the nerves were still damaged, and pain receptors were in full swing. This obviously meant that he had left the hospital early. Thus entered the drugs, used to dull an otherwise excruciating pain.

He hobbled over, giving both fighters a wide berth. Relying heavily on his cane, he made his way to Arian, the injured fighter from Britain. "Bit cold, isn't it?" He commented, completely ignoring what was going on behind him. He was a bit loopy, you could tell by the way he spoke.

39The Crossed Fox

"Tch, bunch of Cochon's for the slaughterhouse," Aden said to himself. To be honest, Aden had no idea why these British back-alley brawlers were here. They seemed so... Bleh.

Regardless of his internal feelings, Aden cracked a scary grin, and pointed a finger to "The Armored One". He wasn't going to challenge him, not yet anyhow, but Aden had picked out the opponent he was going to fight. "Just a bunch of good for nothing, British Cochons."

Aden drew his blade, and slid the end against the steel palm of his left hand. He was anxious, very, very anxious to get into this fray.

From the bushes, Fox would jump into roll, landing on the garden's snowy floor. Fox hoped he didn't do much noise, so he tried to be sneaky. No, he wasn't going to fight anyone. He just wanted to get to the roof.

''I remember those Fodder guys. Fags... ''

Fox, staying on the background like a ninja, sprinted towards the main door.

"Against the law?"

((That he most certainly is. Pats Alex And holy crap, is that RP in HoH?! Heart attack of joy))

Arian wasn't British. No-not from any cold island nation-but from a tropical one, smaller, lesser known-heck, the only reason it was ever mentioned at all was in connection with her-Arian was an outlawed warrior, a branded one, and rather infamous, in some parts of Gaia.

"Huthuthuthuthut." Came from the speaker in a feminine sort of roughened voice, Chun Li kicking the crap out of her opponent so fast her white boot was a blur. Arian had no idea how she had made the Chinese street fighter do that. But she was immensely satisfied with her new found gaming prowess all the same.

Sloshing of snow, and while she triumphantly beat up the new opponent-some blonde chick with leg tattoos whom Arian instantly didn't like just out of principle-but once more, her attention was not on what she was looking at.

She's wondering if he's okay enough to fight.

Either A) He was too drugged out to realize he was not- Or B) He not only was, but was OVER the top okay to fight. Maybe the drugs did something funny in his system. Maybe he was faking. With all the super human and meta people in this tourney, Arian would not have been surprised.

So as he finished his hobbling over, Arian briefly considered asking him if he was going to be alright enough to fight. But...he should know.

"Freezing." She uttered in her accented way, lips barely parting. Hurt her jaw like a b***h, the cold did-and she didn't LIKE being cold in the first place. Her legs and arms were bare, shoulders-so the cloak was what was keeping her from getting pissy and stalking off to steal a car to sit in. Courtelli Isle was never cold. Most islanders didn't like it-Arian, Arian had a personal VENDETTA against the cold.

Bah. Kept pressing the buttons with deft gloved fingers, but the loopy one was still standing there, ignoring what was going on in the fight.

Arian lowered the gameboy, vibrantly colored eyes bringing themselves up to his a moment.

Okay...how drugged was he?

"Going...to be...okay?" Slower words, suddenly wondering. ******** it was annoying-to have her language further hindered. Hurt like hell to talk. Dammit.

But she felt the need to ask. Of course-it'd be embarrassing to have the hell beat out of her, again, if he answered no-and THEN kicked her a**. But it'd be just as bad if she ended up wailing on some guy hardly able to stand straight.

She was an outlaw, sure-but just a misunderstood sort of person. ...with a penchant for violence and disobedience.

Black eyes and stitches across the bridge of her nose and along the right side of her jaw, AND a wired shut jaw, Arian was looking pretty damn ******** up herself. But she was walking just fine and things-nor was she high on the happy pills.

Maybe he should sit for now...

Arian's eyes slipped back down to the gameboy screen, where an overweight asian was trying to beat the hell out of Chun Li.

Arian hit pause, closed the gameboy, and rose to stand.

She was only five feet and two inches tall-but she still didn't like sitting in the presence of another fighter. She was smaller, but darn it-standing she at least didn't get towered over, much.

Stepped to the side and back from the chair, half offering to him, if he wanted it. While pretending not to care. She half didn't.

Paradoxical woman.

Eyes flickered to the fight behind him, raising a brow as they returned once more. Wondering why he wasn't watching, something. "Not going easy." She mentions, a nod.

Not the best fighter here-but she was going to throw whatever the hell she had left into this. And Arian had a lot left, least-in her mind. Her 'lot left' might suck compared to someone elses.

But she was going into this with the mindset to win, illogically or not. Figured she'd tell him right then and there she's not going any easier because he was injured.

Though...she'd avoid cheap shots for as long as he did.

43Oncle Roen

Roen Jaeger Wrote:

..darted away while raising his left hand to the leather-wrapped hilt of his World Splitter...

..right hand immediately shooting up to grasp the bottom of its hilt tightly..

Alex's helmet must have been screwed on just alittle too tightly, because his subconsciousness was being suffocated. It had to have been because it was taking notes of events that were not transpiring. Roen was a left-handed individual first and foremost. He drew with his left hand and grabbed the bottom of the hilt with his right. It was that clear, but despite his faux observation, Alex capitalized on it none the less. By leaning to his left side and swinging downward, it was not going to be Roen's sword-arm in the direct path of his strike, but rather Roen's more exposed right arm. Strange how his lack of perceptions could still lead to a grievous injury, but the Devil wasn't out of the game yet. As if he would let Alex get his arm that easily!

With little to no options left to him given his current situation, mid-lunge and mid-swing, Roen did the only thing he had the opportunity to do - he twisted his wrists and angled his blade up, moderately switching the target of Alex's armored hip to Alex's armored rib cage. With a resounding clang, the downward descending axe impacted the elongated crossguard (right section) of Hræðilegr. Dulled was Roen's strength behind the swing of the weapon, but the resounding jerk Alex's axe put into the World Splitter was enough to send it into his armor. Metal ground against metal in a screech, but there was no damage done to the armor which the monstrosity of a man wore. A scratch and possibly a modest dent, but nothing more.

As for Roen himself, both of his wrists began to throb in unison with the pain of Alex's cleaving blow, yet fingers were loath to part with the hilt itself. A breath of a second as the two warriors finished their respective movements, Roen's eyes darting up to look at the helmeted face of his opponent. Two warriors, toe-to-toe, on the walkway leading to Mr. Brown's establishment. This wasn't looking all that good for the Devil, so--

But what was this stealthy shadow lurking before Roen's peripheral vision! Behind Alex, right by the door to the Brown Estate, was the all too familiar figure of one of the members from Team ALL. Gray Fox!! Roen thought, bewildered by the sight of the brawler entering the mansion(?) What the hell was that low-life doing here? The Devil half expected that Team to be discharged last round.

Weren't they discharged..? The Devil didn't keep tabs.

To get out of this twice-damned cold, to get away from Alex, and to hopefully catch a glimpse of Fox getting a beat down (hey, there was a chance!), Roen disengaged the monster of an opponent he was fighting. Pushing off his right foot and dashing past the man who was leaning towards the left, Roen went around his right flank and took his World Splitter with him, his tail idly snapping with him to avoid being grabbed (because asshats liked to do that kind of thing). After which, it was a straight run across the walk way. But unlike the stealthy Fox, Roen didn't put any stock in espionage during the time of battle. Hræðilegr trailing behind him, Roen leaned his left shoulder into his charge and forcefully gained entryway into the Interior of the Brown Estate. It was Alex's job to hunt Roen down. As for Roen himself? Well--

Leaning heavily on the cane, he waved his opposite hand to the chair. "I don't need it. I'm..." He thought for a moment, brief flashbacks of the pain he had endured in his last match. "Fine. I'm fine." He tried very hard to disengage himself from the floaty feeling he was getting from the vicodin.

45Rawrlicia

"Against the law?"

Eyes narrowed on him, ever so slightly as Arian thought. He had better be fine. So said the grumbling thoughts that Arian allowed through her mind.

Then-an upset! Roen went racing off for the large manor, drawing a blink and then a look of complete understanding from Arian.

However-while she understood the reason for getting the hell out of here for now where the big armored guy could beat on him in the open-she was also frustrated. Alex had had the advantage here, in the open.

And Arian's current loyalties were securely invested in Team Britain. She had signed on at the last moment at the request of Takane-and Arian rarely went against her word.

In a nonlethal tournament? Never.

So, she was disappointed.

A long exhale escaped the woman's full lips, eyes closing briefly-before the vibrant blues reopened on Chance.

Not very conversational to begin with, Arian said nothing, merely watching him, as her narrator constructed the most BORING post ever.

She did wonder, however-since this battle arena had been cleared, could another pair give it a go?

((Seriously-can we have another fight since they vacated the Garden Dave? And Alex-don't you need to post a link too? Or not...better safe than sorry though.))

Alex clunked over to the giant house.

47[Chance]

[ Arian: I believe we can have another match, due to PIME TARADOX. It's been two and a half days since the first post, so, we're good. xD ]

While he was sufficiently drugged, and noticed very little, the sound and feel of a large armor suit, coupled with Arian's look, indicated that the match was moving elsewhere. "My time to shine." He said, winking at Arian, his opponent. He set himself back on his cane, and slowly began to inch back, towards the arena.

And instead of starting a match, he hobbled off into the snow covered distance.

And soon he found a shed. How delightful, it was unlocked. He grabbed a few necessities and headed to the Roen's match with Alex.

"Against the law?"

((Coolness~))

A brow delicately arched, the native skin toned woman seeming to be-well, either amused or just at ease, something.

Half friendly, just not very social.

He was slow.

Arian walked right past him, though far enough away to be out of reach of both his cane and his arms-and turned around again, at the far side of the 'arena'.

Waited for him, one hand and arm still under the cloak-while the other was up and out, bend at the elbow. Knees bent somewhat, left leg forward and right back, as Arian took the most generic stance EVER.

...cept the arm under the cloak. Anyhow. Go time?

Oh, wait, no-pulled a flattened top hat from beneath her cloak, where it had been pressed to her lower back-and straightened it out, placing it on her head, where it cocked itself sideways a bit.

Okay, now good to go.

She made a motion for him to begin-cause she sure as hell wasn't starting, against some possibly too injured to fight guy.

Friendly nature was all but gone. If you could have called it that in the first place. Now-she was slightly tense and calculating, intelligent eyes focused intently on him, all about the fight.

And...okay, nevermind.

Arian straightened, blinking a bit-as Chance went into the shed, grabbed a few whatever things-and hobbled off for the house.

Mainlanders were strange.

With a sigh-she walked off the arena floor or whatever-over some dead plants-and pulled out her gameboy again. He'd be back, eventually.

And so the top hat wearing native kicked some a** with Chun Li.

He was in the middle of the snow covered arena, hopping up and down, working out his painful and stiff muscles. His cane was still in his right hand.

"Against the law?"

((I))

Thump, thump, thump, sloshing snow-

Arian blinked at the video game screen, mentally thinking over who had left, who had done what.

Not the sounds of a metal man. Must be the demon tailed man-Eyes slid up from the screen, and Arian's eyes widened just a bit in the ******** up face that had been beautiful at the beginning of this tourny-and would be again, once she's healed up.

Hair had been cut too, dammit-she wasn't vain, by any means-but she still didn't much like her hair getting cut shorter, or her face being ******** up.

Flipped the gameboy closed, wondering what the hell he was on now-and just what kind of toll it would take on him now or later.

Arian cut a glance to Joey, Team Britain's captain-but hell, not like she needs permission. The foreign warrior just seemed a bit...surprised, is all.

Wouldn't you be? I would be.

Anyway.

She stepped forward, tossing the gameboy away to Rachel or Joey, whoever decided to catch it-and someone better, Arian was fighting that Cammy b***h again, and the snow would probably break the gameboy and then she'd lose her saved data.

Simply too many hours spent in that hotel, is what the problem was. Arian had been bored, and this regimented tournament had too much waiting, in her impatient opinion. She was used to constant action-or at least retreat, something.

Moved into the ring, vibrantly colored blue eyes-which now contrasted sharply with the dark blue, nearly black shade of the area around them more than with her glossy dark hair or tanned skin tone-moving from his hopping form to his cane.

Instant recovery? Miracle drug?

So much for the idea of returning a cheap shot for a cheap shot, if he took one.

Oh well. She's already castrated one man, she supposed a second wouldn't be much worse, if he decided to take the fight for a nasty turn.

"Alright then." Came the accented utterance, Arian's walking posture shifting, her back bending, the woman's arms rising up instead of straight at her sides, elbows bending-as she stepped into her right foot and burst off of it, slamming into a full out dash for the hopping man.

Face was set, eyes calculative and alert once more, giving off vibes of seriousness rather than 'what the hell' sort of...er...feeling.

Hat had been drawn off her head, was in her left-

And we'll just see what happens, as I doubt he'd just STAND there. Well. Hop there. Same thing, except not at all.

She was going to throw whatever she had left into this one. Against this man, who had earlier just been some fellow who was nice enough-to the worst enemy in the world, except she didn't want to kill him.

Just win.

Actions: Ran forward. Ta da~ She's got her top hat in her left hand too, I suppose...

He immediately ceased his movement and raised both hands to just below his jaw. What everyone else saw, was a simple, effective American boxing stance, modified with open palms. His cane had been discarded many feet to his side. He moved forward to meet with his opponent.

CRACK

Their bodies collided, with Chance's hands reaching for Arian's wrists. His larger, most likely stronger hands were more than ample to grip her. Another overlooked fact, his right knee had sprung up with the hope to impale her gut, or her ribs just below the breast. With her hands hopefully in his hold, his right knee would move away from a stunned and breathless body, giving him ample time to wrap his left leg around the small of her back.

With quick maneuvering, he twisted his body to the right, forcing her to follow, all the way to the ground. With his body falling down and to the right, he'd mount her with both of his legs underneath, criss-crossed, both her hands tied up over her head.

CRACK

A startling headbut to the center of her beautiful, albeit torn face.

Joey simply sat and watched. His jeans beginning to soak up the moisture from the snow beneath him. His grey tote bag was laying besides him, covered in a soft white blanket of snow. He watched with lazy eyes, taking in the movements of both Arian and the strange guy she was fighting.

He was anxious to get started with his own fight, but as always he was in no real rush. "Go get 'im Arian!" Joey wondered whether she'd understand his cheering, then shrugged.

54Rawrlicia

((II)) Cane gone. Fine.

Except...Arian wasn't looking to ram into him.

There was no crashing of bodies. She's five two, and weighed less than a hundred and twenty pounds-crashing into bigger, stronger men rarely worked out in her favor.

Like...ever.

Top hat slipped ONTO her left hand, where Arian made a fist.

Quote:

--Electrified gloves-These black leather looking gloves are woven with metal wires, blackened-Arian's hands are coated in a rubber liquid mixture to prevent shocking herself before battle-and produce a chosen level of voltage. The gloves electrify when Arian's hands are fisted, pressure pads in the palm working as the switch. She can turn them off the same way she changed the voltage-a simple adjustment of her gauntlet-as they can be adjusted separately. The affect of these is centralized to the area she has struck-a low enough voltage to avoid shocking the person's entire body-but high enough to add damage to her punches to the area her fist strikes.

She skittered to a near halt when he moved forward-and did something odd. His hands came forward, but she had just shot them up-hat gripped by the brim in her right hand and now also with the left- so that he'd catch the spikes just above each bent elbow, maybe, cut his own hands up.

Quote: *Spiked bands-leather strap wrapped around Arian's upper arm, just above her elbow, displays wicked spikes jutting from the side away from her-about two to three inches long, very strong. She has one on each arm, and they are used to wound when she rams her elbow into an opponent, literally meant to tear their flesh apart, when used effectively. The strap is held securely with a plain belt fastener. Meant to last through countless battles, and the ones she's bearing seem new.

AS she brought the top hat slamming down over his head. Eyes, and all, which was probably rather uncomfortable for his nose, if she had been able to pull it down that far. She was careful not to pull it to the point the top of the hat was resting against his skull, however-there would be space, no matter what.

Silly woman. Stupid move, attempting to blind an opponent with...a hat.

Wrists at this point were no doubt seized, and the knee to the gut took her by unpleasant surprise-and no doubt him too.

Quote: *Third layer of armor...The stomach of the armor has a strong square metal plate over it, to prevent being gutted. (There is a fourth layer of armor over that, leather, so it would not be visible to him.)

The plate did it's part to span the blow-but it also did it's damage by-SPANNING THE BLOW. I mean-ow. But better than the localized damage/pain. Take the hit to the entire stomach at a lesser impact. Good design.

Hiss of air forced out of her, but the plate would no doubt hurt his knee, leave a nasty bruise later, and a strong ache now.

Arian was counting seconds, even as he pulled her along with him, damn strong b*****d-the woman indeed slightly stunned, but not as badly as it would have been. For instance-she had the presence of mind to utter a Courtelli curse.

Yay?

Left leg around the small of Arian's back-second metal plate would be maybe felt there, protecting her spine-and then-she realizes she's going to be taken down, pinned to the ground once again.

Oh HELL no. Good thing for-

Quote: Top Hat-The symbol for Team Britain, Arian has set a minor explosive in the top of the hat. It's small, but you wouldn't want to be wearing it after she's set the trigger. Great conversation piece, right? [size=12]"Against the law?"

The Top Hat exploded. Not big, crazy explosion-a small one, couldn't even kill him-though the impact of some pieces probably hurt/burned him. The noise right above his head though, would no doubt cause a HUGE headache, and possible hair-on-fire-ness might occur.

She was already twisting her wrists violently and keeping him on balance of that one leg so he couldn't fall on her-or trying, anyway-and the top hat CONTAINED the explosion, though it was, now, on fire.

...yep.

His right knee burned with a fiery intensity after impacting the metal plate. But with an unrivaled resolve and a firm grip on her elbow spikes (and later her wrists), Arian was unable to place the top hat upon Chance's head. His hands were also uninjured, thanks in part to his gloves. With the competing woman's weight in the low one-twenties, it was simply a matter of lifting the tiny woman off her feet, and slamming her onto the ground below.

TAKEDOWN

With both legs crossed underneath her, and his hands holding her wrist above her head, there wasn't much that could be done, other than a devilish headbut.

CRACK

CRACK

With nowhere to run, and no possible way of dodging, Chance would slam his forehead into Arian's nose, twice. If she turned, there was a high probability that he would bash into her cheek bone, which was unfortunately connected to her shattered jaw. With the second strike, his forehead rested atop hers, their lips less than an inch apart. "Bad luck lovey."

Chance kissed Arian, right then, right there. And without any hesitation at all, he rolled onto his back (Taking her with him) to finish the job. His massively overbuilt legs went taught and his feet went skyward. His ankles locked. And the crushing power of well over three hundred pounds went into effect. The plates in her back and and gut would prove inadequate, as they did not protect her sides from his scissor hold. He awaited the tap, signaling that she was done.

57Dear Princess Molestia

Things seemed to have become pretty batty in a short amount of time. Alex and the fairy had danced off to the inside of the estate, Alex leaving behind numerous garden tools in his attempt to chase down his foe. Around this time Arian and the lame had begun their fight, after the cripple had drugged himself up enough to reverse the vicodin he had consumed just a bit earlier. How did somebody get these drugs so easily, nobody knows. But whatever, Rachel was fairly confident that Arian could handle her own.

That was until she saw a familiar pattern begin to happen. The cripple had managed to take the outsider down to the ground. Not again..She didn't want to see a repeat of the last round, so she was going to do something about it. With the muffled beep of her FIGHTER to signal her attack Rachel would retrieve a near by spade out in the open that wasn't thrown to the fairy by Alex.

Rachel moved quickly coming from the lame's back. Being so focused into delivering head butts to her poor team mate should give her the advantage that he wouldn't be paying attention or really expecting her to come. With quick steps, she was on a time limit after all, she closed the distance, lifting her arms to bring the spade up, pulled back to her right side and holding firmly like if it were a bat. Now at Arian's feet Rachel would initiate her attack. She sent the right side of her body forward, swinging the spade down with a considerable amount of force as the lame began to close in for his kiss. The back of the thick metal end of the garden spade closer to the end where the shaft meets the metal was directed towards the neck of the lame, enough area to cover his entire neck, the shoulders, and a small bit of the back of his head. Something like this was known for knocking people out in the gangster flicks. Even James Bond couldn't brush off a blow like this, and given the size and position, she was going to make sure that somewhere on his neck was getting hit either by the spade itself or the shaft.

58[Chance]

[ STRIKER Counter - Interrupt ]

Chance brutally headbutted his opponent, hopfully knocking her silly. As he prepared for the second however, the ever clear sound of crunching snow caught his ears. A quick analysis told him that it wasn't one of his team mates coming from behind. What reason would they have to STRIKER? And since Joey was in his field of vision, that left Rachel. There wasn't much that could be done, without turning his head to look.

Kristopher quickly rolled to the side, taking the small fighter with him, something he had planned to do anyway.

He always did like the girl on top.

As fate would have it, the spade came down upon the two fighters just after Chance had rolled over onto his back.

Crack

Arian would have most likely been struck in the back of the neck with the spade, either killing her, or dealing more than significant damage. It wasn't something that he wanted, but it was the only defense viable, short of getting off and facing Rachel. With Arian on top, Chance would still issue the kiss he had been planning since the beginning of the match. It was short, but sweet. He quickly turned his head to look past Arian, to make sure that Rachel didn't have anything else planned. Soon thereafter, with his opponent still immobilized, Chance continued with his match. His legs tensed, and he began to crush Arian at the midsection.

59Dear Princess Molestia

That was unexpected, he rolled. Must have been able to hear her coming. ******** the snow. Instead of getting a clean shot at the guy he managed to avoid it, the spade traveled over him and Arian as he assumed his new position the spade landed in the snow to their left where they were moments ago. Oh well. Even though extremely uncharacteristic of her, back to the side lines. With the spade of course, no point in leaving weapons like that nearby.

(IV)"Against the law?"

That jerked a knot in her tail, so to speak-and presented a problem. She's got an explosive top hat in her hands, for one-seconds ticking off even now-for two-he had just lifted her clean off her feet, Arian lashing out with several kicks to his legs-but with his one leg around the small of her back, she couldn't propel herself back to and slam her feet into him to try and get loose.

And Arian abandoned any and all tenderness in speech due to her jaw, taking the pain merely out of reflex. "Wait-!" Alarm? Not exactly, but she knows where this is going, same place as last time-and that time had resulted in a shattered jaw and stitches and a broken nose at the bridge.

BAM!

Take down indeed, and she simply wasn't built to take that kind of fall-another Courtelli curse as she seemed to try and fight off feeling dazed/stunned-and then their positions hit Arian like a train wreck. Oh no. No, no, this was bad, this was WAY bad-and yet she still had a hold of the stupid hat, the stupid, soon to blow up hat-

Arched her back and pulled at her wrists keeping the hat held tightly in her fingers wanting nothing more than to punch him with it-but his LEGS were wrapped around and under her, no getting away! This-this was insane! "GET HIM OFF!" Not shouting or anything crazy, but definitely starting to panic, just a little bit-because once she was down, she was screwed. Flicked the hat out of her fingers, where it blew up a foot or two away from them both, contained and on fire, isolated in the snow.

The hell were the one things called?! Stars? Stairs? ********, no, no-STRIKERS! Yes-damnable English- "Stri-" Crack-CRACK.

Can you say, pain?. Yes, I thought so.

And pain indeed-she had so RECENTLY gotten the cartilage of her nose reattached to her face at the bridge of her nose-the tiny black stitches evident of that. Pain flared through her skull and brain as he bashed her, twice no less-and some stitching popped. Fuuuuck-son of a...where was...

All fighting for regained use of her hands had died down to nearly nonexistent, half pathetic movements of the smaller hands as the vibrantly colored eyes seemed to struggle to repress the blasted PAIN she was feeling and force logical thought-

When Chance rolled them both so suddenly Arian was flat out sick feeling. Her usually alert senses only just now pick up on the presence of a third person, her striker-and then Arian was smacked with the shovel.

Because Chance had rolled, he had taken them out of the way, rolling TOWARDS the swinger-so Arian didn't take the full force of the hit, but enough that her neck ached, as did her shoulder, despite the collar and the three layers of leather armor.

She wanted her arms back. She wanted to quit being dominated. She wanted to be six feet all and stronger than a man, but since that was impossible without the help of crazy a** steroids or whatever-she'd just have to make do-but she was going to beat the hell out of that kid later, or something, for smacking her with a shovel.

Some help.

At least her head hadn't been hit-WTF!??????

Vibrantly colored eyes flared WIDE when his mouth touched hers-and Chance would learn a few things. One, Arian had a very soft, full set of lips. Two, she was rather warm, as Courtelli Natives had higher body temperatures than other ethnic groups. And three-Arian didn't seem to LIKE being kissed while also hurting, and confusing acts by opponents, ones she believed were intended to make a fool out of her, were not well received.

In short-he scared her, and Arian's temper flared to life so suddenly she half forgot all the terrible aches and pains and torn stitches, forgot about stupid HoH and it's 'no killing' policy-and bit him.

What?!

Yes, she bit Chance, and I don't mean in a kinky way. There would be no turning of his head unless he wanted to half rip his lips off.

Her right leg came up, bend at the knee-cloth boot finding purchase against the ground, as she pushed forward, other foot coming up do the same-trying to jerk forward over him, though since she was still BITING him-I don't know.

Had to do something. Anything. Let's hope he let her hands go.

And then he's squeezing her. Hard.

Arian's bite tightened, then freaking GRINDED.

She can take pain. Could he? He's got the advantage here though, son of a b***h-but her breathing had picked up, and the more panicked movement of her legs, trying to kick herself forward, move-increased as well.

She could handle it-or was trying, anyway. Holding out for as long as she could-and then her breath hitched.

s**t.

61[Chance]

[ 4 ]

Are you ******** kidding me? That was his initial thought when the woman bit down on his lip. "SONUVABITCH!" He screamed out in pain. Chance rolled the two over once again so that he was on top. He quickly released his grip on the girls bruised wrists. His large hands made two very large fists. And he began to pound the poor little girl in a way that was only satisfactory to him. Shots to the jaw, cheek, eye, and nose. Even the mouth.

CRACK!

CRUNCH!

WHUD!

WHUD!

CRUNCH!

CRACK!

He swung wildly, as hard as he could. Each punch was like a train wreck in which there was no regard for what kind of pain he might be inflicting. His hands started to bleed almost as much as his lower lip. And from that orifice came a steady stream of red. To make matters worse, Chance ripped his face away, tearing his lip almost in two!

Blood poured down his face, and with each connecting punch, blood would have been expected to move skyward, from his opponent. With no regard for human life, he continued his brutal assault. He would not let up, until the woman went completely limp.

Not until the snow was stained red.

(V)

"Against the law?"

He was going to freak out over THAT?! God damn, what had he thought, she'd make out with him?! Jesus-

He rolled-and released her hands. The blows started to come, and the nice, partially reconstructed jaw was ******** up once again, the wired shut mouth taking tons of damage, blood funneling into her mouth and throat again. She didn't scream, exactly. It was more of a stangled cry, and obviously-he was hurting her, and hurting her bad. She had unintentionally bitten down even harder, piercing through-and then he jerked back, readying himself to pound on her some more-he was trying to kill her.

A wire had gotten ******** and pierced through her skin-she was in so much pain she could hardly stay conscious, and her head felt heavy, body weird-she was suffering something, clearly. But-he was trying to kill her, or so Arian thinks. His shift in temperment-from nice, somewhat weird guy to instant animal-well, that disturbed her, and added to the belief he was trying to end her life. Rules are just rules-and she's spent a life time breaking them.

Her mind leapt on that as he jerked away, and suddenly she wasn't even scared, or angry, or really anything-just had to act. Arian didn't even think about it-she yanked her arms down the instant he had ripped away, close to her body-and then shot her right one up with a speed and reflex not exhibited before-right for this b*****d's nose.

He wouldn't be fully upright yet. She could reach him, because of it, having acted even as he was jerking back. The butt and palm of her hand would SLAM fully onto his nose as her arm straightened, the force of the blow no doubt snapping his head BACK-it ******** should, anyway-and as she had done that, her left had yanked a spike dagger from her hip.

"You're seriously warning me of that? Seriously?"-Arian Lennox

63[Chance]

[ 5 ]

His face went white with shock. Her measly punch to the face did little in terms of actual damage. The seven inch spike in his gut however, that surprised him. He'd been moving his torso back and forth, delivering punches... And because of that, Arian's aim was a bit off, just falling short of what she wanted. Instead, Chance was introduced to at least five inches of steel, right through his stomach.

Blood poured through the wound, and dripped from his chin. His gloved hands were covered with his opponents own. And the snow was stained and spotted for several feet.

His left hand immediately came down to meet with her throat to grip it, hard. His large right hand made a hard first. And the pounding continued, albeit it was a bit slower, but no less ruthless. Chance knew that he had to end it quickly, for fear that he might bleed out.

"Lights out."

CRACK!

The torrent of punches went on and on, unabated. There was no way she could deal with that amount of pain.

Jaw was ****** up. A few wires poked through her skin, no doubt making her look like some kind of halloween freak. Stitching had popped at the bridge of her nose, what had been **** up again. Eyes would be black a long ****** time, is what else-

She was out of it, by this point. Any panic or adrenaline kind of...floated away, hand still on the knife and other still up, practically resting against his face-he hadn't pushed it away.

Swallowed blood, eyes out of focus and rather confused, she was rather obviously done-but not out yet.

Her hand is still on his face.

Well, lookie that...

Throat was gripped, but he'd note he couldn't actually get a HOLD of her throat, because of the collar.

[ END GAME ]

She went limp.

He dropped his bloody hands to his sides and looked up at the cloudy sky. He raised a clenched right hand, signifying a win.

The blood was pooling in his shoes... He blinked fervently, and tapped his FIGHTER several times. A medical team took both him, and the girl, to the medical wing.

"Against the law?"

Once again-Arian had to have a tube shoved down her throat. No doubt, she'd be carted off to a hospital, to get her jaw REWIRED, stitches REDONE, and the other things that had gotten done to her face fixed up once more, then it was just healing time.

From the mansion's Interior he came. Running straight for the garden shed, and ignoring whatever the ****** else was going on in the area. If one were to observe they would notice he was dragging a ****** LARGE sword along the ground, using his axe as a "hook" around the hilt. He didn't want to actually pick it up from fear of some kind of "lawgiver" style booby trap. (LOOK IT UP)

Anyway, into the shed he went, to mingle with the tools before Roen came over to play.

[9]

70Oncle Roen

And then Roen came from the Interior albeit in a slow and pompous manner. And oh, he brought a chair with him. Just a modestly sized wooden chair. He had to compensate for the theft of Hræðilegr, because people had sticky fingers in Heaven or Hell.

Past the blood spot on the ground, past both Team Britain and Team Cannon Fodder, to a moderate distance of ten feet away from the shed, Roen had followed the footprints in the snow to right here.

And it was right here that he waited for Alex to come out and play.

8/17

71GuyaStealsFrom4chan

Of course waiting outside was not the best of plans. Suddenly the door opened and a barrage of pitch forks and spades come shooting out towards Roen and his chair. The garden shed to a mansion should be adequately equipped to keep the barrage up for at least a few minutes. There were countless pointy things in here. And with Roen without his sword, Alex could just stand in the door way lobbing them at him without worry. And the only thing he had to defend himself was with a chair.

Of course there were some other things in there too, The guy's team mate had shown that when bringing a chainsaw to try and cut him up. For now though he would make Roen dance.

His axe was on his back again, attached to the specially made latch, ready to be drawn when needed. The time to prepare had been accepted graciously by Alex, and at his feet was a red and white can, dripping some kind of substance from a small hole in the top.

Newscasters and audiences alike all scratched their heads in wonder.

Why the hell was Alex hiding in a shed whilst throwing random objects at an obviously inferior (physically) opponent? Tact? Some ubsurd reasoning? Or maybe that tin-can was afraid of Roen and the chair he brought along. Whatever the case may be, the news people were not entertained. Neither were the good folks who gave the (T.V) ratings. Alex was embarrassing himself, and Roen would capitalize.

" Egads! " A pitchfook came shooting out of the shed at the most remarkable of speeds. That chair in Roen's hands? He swung that sucker into the pitchfork, effectively knocking it to the side. And Alex's teammate had the nerve to call Roen the fairy when it was Alex who was the most hands on with the garden tools!

Whump! Square in the Devils hip came a spade, and DeSeer damn it all, that just pissed him off. That was the third time that b*****d tried to hit him with a projectile spade! The second time he actually did! It wasn't immobilizing pain, but still, it was damn right infuriating. Stepping out of the path of the barrage and leaving his chair where it stood, the Devil ran over to the shed and grabbed the door, idly slamming it shut and twisting the latch so it shut.

******** Alex and his garden tools. Drawing out Nigeralo and twisting it in his hand, Roen ran the length of the weapon through the door and its latch, effectively sealing the damn thing shut. Any self respecting wealthy man would indulge in a wooden shed rather than a metal one, so it would be assumed to be wood. Once that was done..well, hell. Seeing as how it was a wooden shed, it would have to be placed on spaced blocks so that its underbelly would not rot when it rained and snowed. So! Assuming as much, there should be gaps (handholds, if you will) to lean down and slip his hands between. Which, in this situation, Roen most certainly did. But that would be getting ahead of himself.

Alex reeled back as Roen shut the door. Content with his handy work he kicked out at the pile of oil cans and the single gas cylinder he had prepared when Roen had been so cooly strutting from place to place, then turned and hopped towards the back of his shed. Silently unsheathing his axe, he paused for a moment and turned back, holding out Roen's sword in one hand and his axe in the other.

The huge pile of toppled oil cans and gas cylinders had been kicked from the carefully placed pile besides the door frame. This had resulted in them stacking up infront of the door after Roen had shut it. Now the next part of the plan was to actually throw Roen's stolen sword at them to blow it the ******** up, but the swordsman had done it himself. Saving Alex some valuable time.

As he heard the blade first penetrate the solid wooden door, Alex sliced with his axe and Roen's sword through the back of the wooden shed. He had mere moments before the sword pierced the tightly compressed canisters, which would set off a chain reaction of explosions. He jumped through the weakened wall before leaping for his life.

The blast would be pretty big, and at first centered around the front end of the shed. Eventually the whole shed would burn down, but that tiny window inbetween gave Alex enough time to get away without any major injuries..the initial blast from the explosion would probably leave him sore, but the armor would most likely prevent anything too nasty.

Roen on the other hand was in the central blast radius and pretty much unarmored. His mail and the door would provide some protection, so the blast wouldn't kill him, but Alex would be mighty surprised if the poor sod wasn't severely injured from the carefully planned explosives. If the fans were unimpressed with Alex's lack of running in like a moron and swinging wildly like a barbarian, this light show would be enough to open a mouth or two.

Thud. What a dud. Tough luck, bub. It was no easy task to slide a broadsword like Nigeralo through the thick wooden door of the shed without proper leverage, and even harder to slide it into the latch that held it shut. Why in the nine hells would Roen put in the extra 'umph' to bury the damn thing up to the hilt and risk splitting the latch with its girth and ruining it all together? Wouldn't that just defeat the purpose of sealing the door in the first place? Well, even if Roen could do it, he wouldn't. That would just be illogical, impractical, and down right stupid. His sword would stay where it was, several inches inches into the door, and Roen would listen to the simultaneous grinding and tearing of metal against wood that came from the other side of the shed. Alex was running away again, but for all of his weight and armor, one had to wonder why he didn't just run through the damn wooden wall. Hell, even the jammed front door couldn't hold up if the b*****d just ran through it.

No matter, no matter. Roen squatted as Alex burst out of the back of the shed and, as intended, grabbed the 'handholds' underneath the shed. This was where Roen intended to put the umph, and put the umph indeed. Rising from his squatting position, Roen began to put anything and everything he had into the act of flipping the modestly sized shed over and ontop of the escaping Alex. But Roen was far from a superman, and without the World Splitter in his hand or on his person to bolster his strength, the thing just would not tip over without aid. When it was given, however, the back of the shed in entirety would fall over and ontop of Alex. Oh, and all those stacks of oil and gas would fall down and ontop of the poor fellow.

From her vantage point, Nox could see exactly what Roen was trying to do. But even with his enhanced strength, such a feat would require at least marginal assistance. Now being the acrobatic sort, it was not hard for her to see exactly what she would have to do to help the Devil in his quest to topple the shed over onto its back, thus squashing the metal encased giant.

Switching on the blinking Fighter around her wrist, Nox glanced around for a solution. It took only a second for her to spot the chair that Roen had carried out of the mansion with him. Left sitting abandoned behind the laboring devil and at the perfect distance for the kind of maneuver that she was about to attempt. There was no waiting, no hesitation, for sooner than one might have thought given his most average stature, Roen had the front of the shed lifted and at just the right angle.

Leaving her axe on the table against which she had been leaning, Nox sprinted the few steps between where she's stood observing the contest, to the chair. At the last possible instant, she would jump up and over Roen, planting her right foot on the seat of said chair, using it's height to spring yet higher, while swinging her left foot around, followed closely by her right, and planting both firmly against the upper crest of the already dangerously listing shed wall. Both the force of her weight coupled with her forward momentum would be enough to send the building over atop the fleeing Alex. As for Nox, well... She would ride the fast falling wall down as far as she could and then push off into a tuck and roll maneuver just before the building splintered, quickly turning her Fighter off before dashing away.

Although an intimidating scream was heard from above, what was noticeable would be the shattering window with a man in black clothing. Shielding himself from the shards of glass, he tightly presses the sleigh like shield towards the stomach as he began crashing downward.

Landing the center of the arena, Darious gasped as the blunt force trauma made him lose some breath. Slowly rising, he held his mid-section as he realized this was going to produce a nasty bruise later on. Holding onto his shield, he wasn't oblivious to the amount of damage stacking onto his scarred body. Smiling at Dash, he stood his grounds and waited for Dash to approach him.

The shower of glass and splintered wood foretold their arrival.

Two fighters, falling like battle-locked snowflakes, struck ground below with a dull thud. Soft snow collected on the ground provided some relief to their fall, its pristine white perfection marred by blood split from their conflict. Although Dash was doubly cushioned by the body of his opponent and he landed on top of him, the shield in between them. Whatever fantasies the captain entertained about trying to pin the guy and take advantage of the situation were dashed by the sudden impact knocking him off of his foe and forcing him to a rolling recovery. Their fall had left them a few feet in front of the mansion’s entrance, with Dash positioned between the door and Darious.

Dash stood.

There was nothing stopping Aden from simple, jumping on this guy after all. Chance had finished his fight, which meant another was open. In a way, he was simply warning the man of his soon to come fate.

Dash’s eyes widened as he saw the man break into a charge towards him. So much for “POWA APPU” time. A grunt escaped the man as he was smashed through what remained of the door and drawn back into the mansion’s interior.

Of course the reasoning behind him jumping through the wall without throwing Roen's sword through the explosives was because Roen had punctured them himself, and, as stated he had jumped after the ignition of said explosives.

But it seemed Roen was too much of a pansy to get through the wood, so it looked like Alex would have to use the World splitter after all. So, he threw the blade and punctured the gas canister..and then..

Joey looked over at Aden getting pumped up. Man, he needed to chill out. Shrugging off his jacket Joey revealed a short sleeved, tight white shirt, and two strange mechanical looking bracers on each arm. They covered his flesh from his elbow joint to the tips of his fingers. With a faint beep sound, they came alive with movement and suddenly grew in width, metal plates suddenly bolstering up and making the bracers twice as thick. Also, three spikes appeared from slats on either bracer, making a Wolverine style claw setup on each hand.

Contrary to the long winded description the process would be completed in about two seconds, so if Aden was planning on attacking him before they were done transforming, he'd have a hard time.

"C'mon, C'mon!"

Joey called out, dropping into a Muay Thai stance and hopping up and down on his toes.

84Colonel Iyam A Heita

There it sat... It came from above and simply landed...a big a robot with big a speakers.

Playing fresh beats.

Heita stood before it, in his B-boy stance with five children in karate gi's on either side of him and the black ranger back to back with him holding the same b-boy stance.

Aw st...they dun did it now son. The Colonel was busting out the Hip-Hop-kido on they a...

Brendyn strode out the door from inside. He left his katar in its sheath, as he wanted to see what his opponent brought to the table before deciding how he would face him. He never could have expected to be greeted with... that.

What. The. ********>

Ah well, Brendyn could play this game too. As it was, though, he wasn't dressed for it, and he was certainly too Caucasian for what needed to happen next. He spoke another couple of magical words and his form flowed and changed, thanks to his Disguise spell. When it was done, his clothing, his height, his skin-tone, it had all changed to something more appropriate to his surroundings.

Brendyn struck a pose.

"Bring it!"

The black ranger peered over Heita shoulders and began to turn around but in mid-turn, the Colonel stopped him. " It got this B..."

Stepping forward he struck his b-boy stance once more and gave a head nod...

then bee-lined for his opponent pulling the chord to start his shield a-spinning.

This was a fight not a dance competition and the judges weren't gonna score him on his flares and windmills unless they were smacking this guy in the face. Which they wouldn't be...the Colonel's shield would be smacking him in the face.

"Guess you ain't got the moves to go a round with me, huh?"

Seemed the man was intent on some good old-fashioned fighting. Brendyn stood his ground, in his pose, until the last possible second before throwing himself down onto his back and letting the shield pass overhead. Brendyn rolled up onto his shoulders, planted his hands on either side of his head, and launched himself feet-first at Heita's face. Normally a kip was done to get to standing more quickly, but Brendyn was using it on the offense by pushing more up than forward with his arms to get his feet to the proper height.

"You ain't got moves like these!"

If his attack landed, well, Heita may have lost some teeth. If it missed, he would try to hook his legs over a shoulder and pull Heita to the ground by both pulling in his legs and wrapping his arms behind his own back and around Heita's legs to offbalance him.

[3/17]

88Colonel Iyam A Heita

The H.F.O. (shield) flew over and Heita was in a comprising position. He was about to get unpretty...unless... Heita lunged forward taking the attack on his pecs. The makeshift kick knocked the Colonel back and gave him an opportunity try to rip open his opponent's face once more.

Releasing the latch holding the shield to his forearm as he fell back, Heita's shield recoiled off the ground and come back at Brendyn from behind.

Damn, almost had-

CRACK

Something hit him hard in the back of the head, causing his vision to cloud over and his senses to dull in pain for a second. The shock of the hit made him miss the opportunity to kick off of his opponent and roll into a standing position, so his legs simply flopped onto the ground.

"Fffffffff..."

He was flat on his back, but his opponent had been forced back and out of range for a second, so Brendyn rolled back just a bit and then pushed against the ground with his shoulders, launching him into a forward roll at Heita which he punctuated by driving his right fist at the man's gut. His head was still in pain and his thoughts were a bit scrambled, which may have explained why he didn't use the punching dagger sheathed at his hip and went in knuckles-first instead.

90Colonel Iyam A Heita

The Colonel the was still catching his breathe and getting his footing when he felt his stomach forcefully cave in around something meaty. Instinctively The Colonel clasped around Brendyn's offending forearm to stop any follow through.

"...Big...mistake" the words spilled from his lips as he was in movement. Right hand sliding towards the wrist while the left slide for the elbow, a simple arm break at the elbow joint. Simultaneously the H.F.O. would clasp back into place on his right forearm.

s**t.

Brendyn didn't hesitate. As soon as he felt the hand clasp his arm, his left arm was in motion. He reached across his body to the dagger, pulling up on it. As soon as it cleared the sheath, he inverted his arm and punched upward at the hand holding his wrist. He wasn't expecting to hit; he wanted his opponent to release his arm so that any pressure applied to his elbow wouldn't do anything. If the man chose to take the hit in order to deal his own, Brendyn's dagger would drive up into his carpal tunnel, severing the tendon and nerves that controlled the hand. The effect of that would be an immediate involuntary release of Brendyn's arm, as that tendon was the one that allowed the fingers to flex and grab. The damage would, of course, already be done by then, but they would both be more-or-less down a limb.

If Heita released his hand to avoid the wrist-stab, Brendyn would push with his legs, driving himself up into a standing position and Heita back by the fist in his gut to create some space. They were just a little too up-close-and-personal for his taste. Either way, the dagger stayed in his left hand, ready to do its worst.

[5/17]

92Colonel Iyam A Heita

They were close... so Heita had caught wind of Brendyn's left taking the necessary steps to free his right. The Colonel wasn't a grappler, he was a strike artist...so he never intend to follow through with the break, it was just a way to recover from the stomach punch and a good interrupt. It would also keep Brendyn down while Heita remained up so that when Brendyn came with the punch dagger, Heita could follow behind it with a right knee.

It wouldn't have far to travel due to their overall positioning and with a hip thrust, it could even chase after the man as he attempted to retreat.

Turnabout was fair play. Heita had taken a good shot to the chest, and now it was Brendyn's turn. He leaned into it to shorten the wind-up and soften the damage a bit, but he was still driven back and up. He coughed and his eyes half-shut at the shock of a hit to the ribcage, but it could have been worse.

His arm, holding the dagger, was still across his body from the stab attempt, and so he left it there, twisting his shoulders to aim that elbow at Heita's throat. It seemed he had decided against backing away after all. It was unfortunate, though, that he had been forced to pull the dagger, since that meant he'd been pushed into breaking character. Whether the elbow hit or not, he would allow the magical energy maintaining his Disguise to fade, and the energetic b-boy would be replaced with the calm, collected form of Brendyn once again. The assassin was back.

"My moves would be the last that you'd ever see. Be grateful that I don't have reason to show you."

The black silk veil hid his mouth, but his eyes held no trace of emotion.

[6/17]

94Colonel Iyam A Heita

Heita's knee dropped back down so that he regained his sure footing. With reassured foundation, the Colonel would lean back and away from the strike range of the elbow. Heita left hand had never left his opponent's right elbow and as Heita leaned back his left hand pushed out.

He was attempting to secure a near miss by pushing Brendyn back and off target. The Colonel would keep his right arm around the waist and the H.F.O. in place to block a punch dagger stabbing.

"...Alot of talk for a cadet. Chump"

[7/17]

95Apocalyptic Pilot

And Brendyn whiffed on the elbow. It was a well coordinated evasion and push, so even Brendyn's expert aim couldn't compensate. They were still in good and close, though, so Heita would have an awfully hard time bringing that shield to bear whether it was for offense or defense. A dagger, on the other hand, shined in close quarters. A katar wasn't made for slashing, but it still had an edge and against unprotected flesh it could still cause some damage. Brendyn wanted the use of his right arm back, so he brought the dagger across in a slash at Heita's left bicep.

"Cadet? I'm more of what you'd call a 'specialist'."

The funny thing about Heita's comment was that Brendyn did have a rank and title, but that it wasn't in a proper military. His assassin Order had a chain-of-command and a hierarchy, though, and in relative terms, he was probably at the same level of authority as Heita claimed to be.

As Brendyn made the strike at Heita, he turned the left side of his body in against his opponent, looking to preemptively cut off any interference from Heita's right and that shield of his.

[7/17]

96Colonel Iyam A Heita

A small hand shield relatively the diameter of Heita's forearm, it wasn't has cumbersome as most would think...just FYI.

Now back to the problem at hand, the assassin with the blade aimed to open Heita's left bicep. The Colonel's arm was too extended to reel back in time so instead Colonel went for a trade off his bicep, Brendyn's footing.

Heita's right foot snapped out in a quick jab-esque front snap kick at the calf to ankle area of Brendyn's forward left leg.

Brendyn had never made the mistake of thinking the shield was useless. It simply wasn't as compact as a dagger, which suffered no diminishing of purpose at point-blank melee.

We've been fighting for a while with virtually no effect. We're too evenly matched, too focused on avoiding damage rather than dealing it. It's time to change that.

Whatever Brendyn was planning, though, was interrupted. Brendyn had already been rotating forward, so trying to reverse the motion and avoid the kick was out of the question.

"Krgh!"

Although he carried through with his attack and hopefully freed his arm, the pain from the kick caused his leg to bend and give way reflexively. If Heita was looking to capitalize on a moment of imbalance, this was probably it.

Still, his determination to actually cause some harm before the fight was over remained firm.

[8/17]

98Colonel Iyam A Heita

Blood trickled slowly from the left bicep as the blades tip cut past leather and into flesh. Thank god the little leg sweep went through as it made the cut shallow. This was the second time Heita had gained the proverbial high ground on Brendyn, he would fully capitalize.

The Colonel's right leg had not planted but instead rose with the follow though of the kick by the knee, placing the sole of his foot above his opponent.

Vulcan Kick

The kick would be imbued with strike force* aimed at the chest area of a downed Brendyn.

After the dagger strike, Brendyn's left arm was still up high. It only took a slight shift to bring it down and into the way of the foot. Of course, he couldn't have known about the more devastating effect of the attack.

Boom!

The muscles of his forearm were devastated, and while he wasn't certain, he thought he felt the bone fracture as well. He couldn't help but lose his hold on the dagger, and it fell to the ground between them. In the meantime, the concussive force blew him up and back, away from Heita. The assassin barely landed on his feet and continued stumbling back before catching himself. He could still bend the arm, but the wrist and hand were virtually useless after the attack, so he let it hang limply at his side.

"You..."

Brendyn was still up and running thanks to the intercession of his arm. Had that hit his chest, he would be lucky to be conscious. He needed to capitalize on what he still had left. Once he had his footing back, and despite the river of pain that his left arm had become, he rushed back in at Heita.

Shield.

Brendyn lashed out with a high left kick, aimed at the side of Heita's head. It was the perfect height for the shield to intercept it, which was fine with Brendyn, because he would push off of it if he did so and knock it back and out of the way. As soon as his foot came back down, and before Heita could bring the shield back into place, Brendyn would charge in, speaking a few hurried words as he did, and try a quick and dirty backhand with his right at Heita's right ear.

"Vertigo."

Vertigo

2 Points

Contact Point: Hand on ear

~Initial~ - The target's sense of balance is suddenly distorted for ten seconds. They will find that even flat surfaces feel as if they are shifting under their feet. Running will be difficult under the circumstances. People that are used to the effects of vertigo or constant movement (for example a sailor), or who simply possess a superior sense of balance, will be less affected by this spell, but will still find particularly acrobatic maneuvers to be impossible.

The events played out as if Brendyn was writing the script himself...wait was Brendyn writing the new script? Either way such things were trivial with Heita's current condition making it difficult for him to catch his footing after backing up from the backhand. He was an Air Force pilot so he was used to having his senses distorted momentarily when traveling at mach speeds but he also had instrutments to help keep his bearings.

"...Nice trick. Do you do kid's parties?" The Colonel was on the defensive. Using words and an open guard to bait the assassin in.

101The Crossed Fox

"YEAH!"

Yelled the Vampire. He was pumped, so pumped that his dash towards his opponent seemed slightly faster than normal. The crunching snow beneath his feet kicked up with every quick step he took, and towards the end of it his legs would bend. It appeared as if he was going to jump up over Joey, but instead an unexpected slide would ensue. Aden pulled a baseball slide on this guy at the last minute, having raised his right leg up to clip Joey in the knee. The snow melted with the friction beneath his letaher clothing, and its semi-powdered texture gave him a slight boost in speed.

"Take THIS!", yelled the Chevalier once more. He wanted to make this quick.

Well, Brendyn was surprised to see that everything had gone exactly as planned. That never seemed to happen, which was why his actions had been entirely conditional on Heita's choice of responses.

Vertigo wasn't his most powerful spell by a long-shot, so he wasn't counting on it to generate much of an opening, but he had other spells for that, ones that worked well in conjunction with an opponent reeling from its effects. As he advanced at Heita again, he flicked his wrist.

Spell List Wrote:

Combat Distraction

1 point

A very quick illusion, Brendyn makes a flicking motion and the target sees an illusory blade coming at them out of the corner of their eye. It disappears as soon as the target actually focuses on it, providing a short window of opportunity for Brendyn to take advantage.

The illusion would form at the peripheral of Heita's right eye and seem to be coming straight at that side of his head. At the same time, Brendyn rushed in, bending down and scooping up his dagger with his right hand. As he came up from the snatch, he shoved his dagger forward at the socket of Heita's left hip, looking to sever ligament and muscle and cut down on the man's mobility and offensive power from that side of the body.

103Oncle Roen

More or less oblivious to whatever it was Alex was planning on in that garden shed of his, Roen lifted that house of tools with whatever it was that drove him to such lengths of inhuman strength - be it a pure shot of adrenaline, his own superb (if somewhat weakened) physiology, his indomitable will to win, or a cocktail of all those necessary traits for success - but it would be done. The shed tipped over with the needed help of Bellanox and would essentially land right ontop of Alex as he ran out of the bloody thing.

And thanks to the power of SCIENCE, there would be no explosion. No catalyst.

As for Roen himself? That was it. His knees buckled, his breathing became erratic, and a wave of vertigo passed over him. Stumbling away and nearly hitting the ground, he instead fell into the chair Bellanox had nearly knocked over with her leap. Lucky b***d indeed. Legs extended and relieved of tension, Roen's head cocked back and he shut his deep set garnet hues, obviously beside himself. Nigeralo would remain stuck in the shed, the Devil's World Splitter would likewise remain inside, and this would leave a certain Fodder member, nay Captain, unarmed and exhausted in a chair. If dropping a house ontop of that b***d didn't work, then Roen didn't know what would. Maybe a tree...

But that wouldn't adhere to the Wizard of Oz motif Roen had going on.

" Where's Toto... "
