THE BRIDGE

For those who fell just short of glory, the bridge of the glorious CIS VICTORY will serve as center stage! The Commander has requested your audience, and now you will fight in the most grandiose of venues. Noticeably, the bridge's crew is absent, sent to other sections of the ship. While untold millions are still permitted to watch via the many cameras built into the room itself, there is but one live spectator.

The Commander himself.

Terrain

General - Electronics, viewscreens, railing, and swivel seats are situated all about the room. Given the nature of the arena, everything is pretty much secured in place. The room is a giant semi-circle with a radius of about 40 feet. yes, a massive area by any standards, but the CIS Victory is quite the large ship. The Commander sits in the captain's chair overlooking the entire bridge, well out of harm's way for most part. Dominating the background is a huge viewscreen which is currently displaying Leviathan Stadium and its surrounding countryside.

Natural Element Resource - None.

Weapons - What you bring.

Bonus Effects - The Commander is watching. Do not disappoint him.

2Sutiiven

The sound of determined footsteps echoed through the ship CIS VICTORY's hallways as a small group of people walked toward the bridge.

clack clack clack

"Sir, please reconsider!"

"No."

The man in front was wearing charred and shredded clothing atop numerous clean bandages, while the rest of the posse about him were wearing HoH Medic uniforms.

clack clack clack

"You're still in the healing proce-"

"I said no."

The doors to the bridge opened as Stephen Lasanti of Team Jormungandr entered. Despite having been torched into something that even a dog wouldn't eat the previous round, he was in good condition all things considered. His left eye was covered with bandages that wrapped around his head and his shirtless torso also revealed bandages, as did the empty spaces in his damaged jacket.

"Don't you understand th-"

"Yes I do understand the risks, and no I didn't ask for your opinion. Now shut up and stay on standby until you're needed."

He walked over to the Jormungandr bench and sat down. He took a minute to catch his breath (it was a large ship for someone who's legs had just been repaired to walk through, after all) and awaited the others to show up. He had to give those medics credit - they were miracle workers, no mistake. And after what he had been through, he was surprised he was still alive and would rather be recovering with his daughter right now.

But this is what he signed up for, and he'd be damned if he missed the last round - first place, second place, third or fourth, this was the end of the tournament.

He had to make it count.

3Lord Jackson Beaumont

Griff entered the bridge without nearly as much fuss. A single medic urging him to let the stitches sit for longer. But hell, between the SythSkin and the stitches, he was healed. Griff didn't confront the medic, so much as blow him off entirely. The door slid open in front of him, a flier saying that someone's photobucket account was closed for inactivity, which confounded the captain for just a moment before heading in.

From top to bottom, Morivan looks different than he had four rounds ago. Clean cut with a well kept beard, his hair well trimmed. Conservative clothes and shades. And now? The black shag he called a hairdo had grown over his headband, which was sewn together from the shards of his silken shirt from rounds before. DOOMTRAIN left exposed, his opposite hand clenched around his new gauntlet.

The heavy green cloak draped over his shoulders laid heavily on him, but he liked the look and the feel of it. It exposed his scars in just such a way that he really approved of. His old pendant peeked just out from under the cloak, shining when the light hits it just right. And Sutiiven would certainly notice an oddity.

Where the hell did Griff get those shades?

"Well well well well well." He said with a confident grin, his arms outstretched. Fang of Midgard sat under his right arm, clipped as always to his belt. "Looks like we're at GO TIME. Finals and all that good gushy s**t. MISTA-Chairman. It's a pleasure to be here to entertain. And the ladies and gentlemen at home?" He said, turning to where he assumed one of the cameras might be positioned, and the most accurate catching a good, dramatic angle.

"My name is Griff Morivan! From the bellies of defeat, Jörmungandr united into a single beast and has arrived. And while our victory fell just short of ultimate glory, we have the honor, the privilege, the great pleasure to fight Team Glacier, the legendary Team of Kings."

He walked back to his team's bench, nodding to Sutiiven before turning once more to the Chairman, the Cameras, the whole nine. "Now. Let's finish Dethroning the Kings!"

4Uberwulf X

There was a bench on the bridge? Who brought that? The Commander should fire his interior decorator. I mean, what a ghastly thing to have on a ship.

Griff Morivan Wrote:

"And while our victory fell just short of ultimate glory, we have the honor, the privilege, the great pleasure to fight Team Glacier, the legendary Team of Kings."

Was he being facetious?

Griff Morivan Wrote:

"Now. Let's finish Dethroning the Kings!"

...Yes, he was.

Miranda, leaning on a console on the other side of the room since eternity began, sighed at the other team.

"Throw someone before the Commander's chair, I offer my body to you."

Her arms raised in a gracious manner, hands opened and spread as she presented herself. Her attire was a fancy little number, something that showed it might've taken someone to think up and get correct. It was what the needlemasters over at Blazestar were calling a dracket... half dress, half jacket, all customizable style. Miranda's current dracket was all black with a high collar. There were no sleeves, so the extensive tattoo-work on her left arm (and neck and cheek) was quite visible. There were slightly depressed slits at the sides, "vents" if you will, all showing blue beneath. At the waist was an attached skirt bottom, long with a slit on the left. Standard armament (bracers, half-greaves, tailguard) were present of course.

Once about three seconds had passed, she folded her arms and waited to see who first felt like getting beaten down like a redshirt.

5Lord Jackson Beaumont

Quote: "Throw someone before the Commander's chair, I offer my body to you." Griff turned now, spotting Miranda. She was fine lookin', and it took some reserve not to give a cocky whistle. But he did turn on his heel, looking at the woman.

"On'a my girls has been wantin' to take you on head to head, so I'll give her a few more minutes to get up here. But I wanna say, all bravado aside?" He took his shades off, bowing his head ever so gentle. "It's a ******** honor to be fighting you guys. I hope we give you all a run for your money."

And with that, he'd give Fayble a minute to get up here.

6Vahn Fah

"Don't make me laugh."

The voice came out from the side, as a hooded figure made his way out from the dark recesses of some side corridor. Metal boots ringing out loudly with each step he took, he made his way to Miranda's side, before stopping and standing there. "It's a sad joke...to be tossed in with you losers."

Even with the hood- it wasn't too hard to tell who it was. Anyone with half a mind would know it was him. From the telltale greaves adorning his long legs, to just the minute way his left shoulder always seemed to tilt into the right a bit whenever he was standing still-- as well as the voice, it was 100% Vahn Fah. "I'll never forgive myself..."

He was garbed in nothing but black, the only color coming from his greaves, and the trimming of silver running along his hooded coat. His hidden face held a myriad of bandages, covering bruises, scrapes and various cuts, and that left eye was covered up as usual.

The hilt of his Fang could be glimpsed sticking out from behind his left shoulder, the flammard hooked onto his back in some manner. "For having to deal with trash."

His FIGHTER held a dull glow to it underneath the left sleeve of his coat, even as he stood there with clenched fists, fully hostile not too mention apparently more volatile than he usual...as if he had ice running through his veins.

7Abyssal Majesty

Fayble slipped into the bridge with even less fuss than Griff, picking her teeth with a toothpick, she quietly leaned against a podium. She was wearing her normal clothing, her jeans and black camisole, boots and gloves. But this time minus her signature hat and duster. She was cool with it now, earlier, she blew off steam by sleeping in the hospital. It was fantastic fun.

Hammer at her hip, Fay had begun to stick on her amulets to the back of her hand to ready herself. That's when she heard Miranda declare a challenge.

"Alright."

Turning about and walking down the few stairs, she stood by the infamous chair, and gave a two fingered saluted.

"I'll be your entertainment for tonight." Sniffling, she parked her thumbs in her pocket. "Any special terms?"

8Uberwulf X

Vahn Fah Wrote:

"I'll never forgive myself..."

"Story's not over."

Miranda narrowed her eyes slightly, looking down and to the side in Vahn's direction.

"Nothing worth having... comes easy. If you can't forgive yourself, then I'll forgive you. So will she."

Had it ever been stated why anyone was actually there, or whether one person knew why the other had stepped into the ring? Whether or not they actually knew about Alpha Shift, Miranda had spent nearly the entire tournament sitting, watching, and listening. Two and two were easy enough to put together when you figured out whether you were using apples or oranges. That is to say, exactly who or what it is you're dealing with.

Selflessness... foolishness...

Miranda blinked and looked around quickly, but...

"..."

Her eyes settled on Faybe, and she shook her head lightly. "No," she answered, "let's just... go."

They're all the same. It's always the same.

Distance= twenty feet and closing, by way of walking. Miranda's left arm was down and rather limp; the right hand was up in casual and basic readiness, wrist limp. If Fayble let Miranda's right hand get a foot away from her head, she would be jabbed in the nose for her lack of attentiveness.

You'll never win like this.

[Ground Control to Major Tom: No regrets.]

[Countdown to launch : T-17]

9Abyssal Majesty

Blinking as well, Fayble shrugged to herself and smiled.

"Alright then."

As Miranda started forward at a walking pace, Fayble would grind her feet into the floor and transfer her energy down through her body, into the floor, then up again, just to proof herself for things to come. This also gave her the opportunity to begin her charge, the tall tale sign of tendrils of electricity dancing across her body gave it away. By the time her opponent go to where she was going, Miranda went for a clock to face, Fayble moved to the woman's left side. Bundling her fists together, Fay went for strike to her back, just between her shoulder blades to knock her forward.

If all went well, Fay would move behind the woman wait for her to recover. It was the beginning of the round, it was their fight, they had time to get into the hardcore stuff later. Raising her hands in a generic guard, right hand balled into a fist at her hip, the other, the same by her chest.

Grounding:

But stamping her feet to the ground before a fight, Fayble directs her energy into the ground, then back up into her body. Enabling her to use electrical moves without being shocked back, or being shocked by other electrical attacks.

Voltage:

Fayble has the ability to control generate and control small amounts of electricity. Without the aid of her hammer (see weapons), she is able to administer enough electricity to equal that of an electric fence (10,000 volts) in a punch etc. This would cause a brief paralysis in area damaged.

10Silver Alexander

The turbolift door to the bridge on Glacier's side of the room would open with a swish, revealing none other than it's team's captain, Silver Alexander. For whatever reason, he'd taken some time before the fight to explore the ship where he could. Though he had never been, it was somehow familiar to him. Like returning to an old home or forgotten friend, the ship had put him at ease.

Stepping out onto the bridge, cracking the knuckles on alternating hands, he would come up next to Vahn and Miranda. He was back to sporting his usual attire for the finals, mostly black except for a red hooded jacket styled similarly to that of Vahn's except a bit shorter on the bottom and the hood wasn't up. This allowed everyone to see the big, roguish grin on his already completely healed face.

"Now now, no need to be rude to the new guys. Everyone wants a piece of the Champs. They fought hard to get here... so save it for after the beat down... Though, I can't honestly say I'm too excited about them, because..."

Silver's head would slowly turn, admiring the scene of the bridge before him. Though it had required a little detour from Vahn's ultimate goal of Noah who would have been easier to reach at the match for First and Second at the Stadium proper, this was where he had desired to be all along. The CIS Victory, where he knew he could find the man that could answer his questions, among others, about Crutonian involvement in Heaven or Hell if Noah wouldn't. The man before him as his eyes finally came to rest upon... The Commander.

"I came to fight THAT guy."

Even if he couldn't be heard from across the large bridge, the mysterious man known only as The Commander would be able to easily recognize a calling out from the finger pointed directly at him, and the expression on Silver's face.

11Sutiiven

Well well well. It seemed that the opposing team actually had the courtesy to show up. And here Stephen was slightly hoping they'd award Jormungandr the third place prize by default.

Oh well, this was much more entertaining anyway.

Stephen stood up and removed the one armed jacket from his person. Fayble was up and lookin' to kick some tail.

In honor and support of Team Kamina Jormungandr, Stephen pulled out his own pair of strange sunglasses.

"Hey Glacier! I'm going to tell you something important now, so you better dig the wax out of those huge ears of yours, and listen! The reputation of Team Jormungandr echoes far and wide... When they talk about its bad a** members, the team of indomitable spirit and masculinity, they're talking about us! The Mighty Jormungandr!"

He addressed his opponents with a smirk on his face. "We don't care if you've been tournament champion once, twice, or a hundred times! Today we're going to rock your world! Kick logic out and do the impossible! That's how team Jormungandr rolls!"

Confidently he stood, laughing in the face of legends.

"Don't underestimate us! We don't care about time or space or multi-dimensional whatevers, we don't give a damn about that! Force your way down a path you choose to take and do it all yourself! That's the way team Jormungandr rolls!"

Defiantly, he snapped out his left arm and pointed at Glacier with great justice!

"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!"

12Lord Jackson Beaumont

Sutiiven Wrote:

"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!"

"WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!"

"...God I love saying that." Morivan dictated to... probably just Sutiiven as he slumped back into his chair with a grin. Glacier was gonna mope about bein' third or fourth best. Jörmungandr was enjoying the ride.

And isn't that more important?

13Uberwulf X

Whether Fayble thought that the left arm being absolutely limp meant that it wasn't working well enough to be used in this fight, or whether Miranda's apparent casualness in stance and stride meant that she was going to be slow to respond, didn't matter. What mattered is that when Fayble rolled to Miranda's left, that arm moved.

There was nothing terribly fancy in the motion... it was the quickest thing she could do that would have pretty much the same effect as if she'd actually taken more than a second to respond. Her arms made an "L" shape as she picked it up, keeping it pretty close to her body. Her palm, open, was sent to Fayble's midsection (or wherever higher she'd be reaching, assuming Fayble dropped down to step around-- high chest to face?) and after contact was made, Miranda grunted and pushed Fayble back.

Now, there wasn't a lot of power in this either... for rearing back when Fayble was pushing on her would have taken time, time for Fayble to electrocute our lupine heroine... and Miranda really, really disliked getting tazed. Electromancers were on level with geomancers (SHOUYIN) for being ridiculously annoying for her to fight, because of their ability to taze someone if touched for more than a half second.

And so this motion and reaction would do little to move Fayble back (Miranda's strength notwithstanding-- while there would likely be a little rocking back, nothing more than a step or two), though it should suffice to stop her from getting around to Miranda's back, and allow Miranda to pivot to whatever Fayble's new position turned out to be. They were still close, and since people liked believing that Miranda was slow because she was big, she didn't go for a counterattack.

Lightning-users tended to be quick, following the nature of the element, so while it wouldn't be the most epic or flashy thing, Miranda was going to follow the nature of her own element and chill to see what would happen next.

[Major Tom to Ground Control: Regrets? This is what I was meant to do.]

[Countdown : T-16]

14Abyssal Majesty

Going to the left was a mistake on Fayble's part, it looked like a useless arm, but that's what she got for assuming. With an 'oof' and a bit of a grimace, Miranda pushed at her midsection making her need to move with the shove. Taking a few steps back, Fayble raised her fists.

There was no way Fayble was going to misjudge this woman. They were both there for a reason, they were there because they both had what it took to get to this moment. And after coming to a stupid conclusion with her opponents arm, nothing about Miranda would be assumed. Sure she was big, but it wasn't to say that she wasn't used to wielding her size as she wanted.

In any case. Stepping towards Miranda, Fayble feigned a hook to her face before swinging her right into her opponents chest, putting her weight behind it. Ideally, it would hit right in the solar plexus, but by the bosom wouldn't have been too bad either.

Voltage: 1/1 Charged

15Uberwulf X

Miranda's stance, as it were, reverted to the one-handed stance. If she had enough time to do so, then she would... as a show of readiness, if for nothing else. Fayble didn't counter her immediately, so the left arm went limp again.

A hook... well, Miranda's arm was up and ready enough to deal with it, her head tilting back slightly while her arm got just a little bit higher.

A feint...

All she could do in the instant was to tuck her otherwise exposed stomach just before the fist landed, rolling with the punch as best as possible. Miranda grunted with the strike as air was forced out, but rather than curse herself for falling for such a fundamental sort of maneuver, she reacted.

There was no way Miranda was going to pull back her entire body before Fayble landed her fist... so Miranda was still concaving her chest, and her arm was still falling... as reaction to a punch to the chest dictated she drop her defending arm to prevent more. However, that defending arm was attached to a hand, a hand with claws at the end of splayed fingers... claws that slashed down against Fayble's face. No, it would not feel good, and blood was expected.

Miranda's left leg dropped soundly behind her, the not-really defense completed and her weight was put forward, on the right leg. Though she was made to defend, she was enough in a readying stance that, whether the slash hit or missed, Miranda could track Fayble's position, quickly pivot her leg, and push off to send the cocked left knee into her opponent's chest.

Payback in spades.

[Ground Control to Major Tom: How are you feeling?]

[Countdown : T-15]

16Abyssal Majesty

The punch somewhat connected, Miranda curled to accommodate it, she was good. Fay could tell this was going to be a tough match, one she wouldn't forget for a while. Eyes open wide, Fayble winced and yelped as her foe's claws dug into her face, and by going with the flow of the attack, Fayble turned her head to the right to reduce the extent of damage. It left her with a rather sliced open face, and blood staining Miranda's claws.

No pain, no gain. As Miranda went to lunge forward, her knee extended, Fayble moved to palm block the strike and slip to the left. As fluid as possible, as soon as Fayble slid, she threw her weight into her left elbow straight to Miranda's jaw. Upon contact, she released her charge, electricity rippling from her flesh to her foes. It could potentially leave Miranda with a rather shocking headache.

If all went smoothly in Fayble's favor, she would shove the woman away from her. Blood trickling steady from her facial wound, Fayble huffed out and readied herself for the lupine. With a dry smirk, she brimmed with energy. This was absolutely what she was looking for when she entered this whole shabang.

Discharge:

If Fayble is charged for an electric attack and she is assaulted first, upon contact form the foe, they will receive a shock that temporarily stuns the opponent enough for her to react (10,000 volts or 300,000 volts depending on Power Up!). Once shock is administered, the charge is gone, and she must recharge again. She has control whether she uses this ability or not.

Voltage: 1/2 Charging

Discharge: Implemented

Zzzzt--

And this is why we don't like lightning users.

The elbow would have been fine enough... a bit of an opening exploited, fair game and all that. But then there just had to be electricity thrown into it to make her pause... make her hold enough to not retaliate right away at being pushed back.

Her left leg dropped finally-- behind her again, as Fayble succeeded in putting Miranda back in, and Miranda worked her jaw.

Her fist clenched, then relaxed. By now, she was back in her stance.

18Supreme Jerk Commander

At the beginning to the 21st century, the skies above Leviathan Stadium were invaded by the glorious starship VICTORY, under the control of his supreme awesomeness: The Commander!

And when he descends upon Levi, his boot shall uncurl a whoop-a** across yet another region of the cosmos!

From atop his throne, he glanced upon the combatants invading his bridge. Well, “invade” was not the correct term. He did invite them. Unlike during his previous venture, he saw fit to take the more direct approach to getting fighters onboard. Though, he was quite pleased with Shattered Steel as a whole, since they had actually gotten to the finals. He had chosen wisely.

Silver Alexander Wrote:

"I came to fight THAT guy."

Now this moron on the other hand… had not.

“Silence, peon. Go on and fulfill your duties to the media by putting on your poor displays of combat ability.” His eyes narrowed before he added:

“You don’t want none of this.”

19Abyssal Majesty

Before anything, she took a few good steps back. Yellow eyes darting about her opponent, Fayble wiggled her fingers idly before reaching quickly for her belt buckle. Clicking on the mechanism to power up her amulets, the two ram's heads on the back of her hands began to hiss quietly as they activated. The woman she was fighting was a tank, and now Fay was on par with her in the strength department. Hopefully.

At the present time, Fayble didn't feel like being bent into a pretzel, bum rushing this gal was out of the question. For once, she had no choice but to stand at ready and wait. Normally, she hated pussyfooting around a situation, but now she couldn't avoid it. Staying put was the wisest move.

Power Up!:

When 2 of 3 of Fayble's amulets are activated (buckle+hand), two power ups occur. First and foremost is her addition in strength, this enables her to wield her hammer, and deliver nasty punches. Secondly, is an energy boost. This strengthens electricity so that her attacks produce many times the power of her previous Voltage ability. This amplifies her strength by two to three times. Otherwise she is just a strong human. The duration of this ability is as long as the amulets are on. Though the amulets are powered as long as the mechanisms are running, the Power Up! ability works when Fayble needs or thinks of using the item's strength. Otherwise, it mainly works just to help her wield her hammer in it's heavier forms.

Voltage LvL.2:

Due to Power Up! Fayble's Voltage attack now produces the electric amount to that of 300,000 volts (Ex/ 500k-800k = stun gun).

Miranda didn't mind waiting, either.

There was to be a lot said for the waiting game. A dramatic wind, the camera zooming in to see the fighters' faces, a super closeup to view the narrowing of the eyes... wherever Fayble was looking was her own business. A closeup of Miranda's eyes would reveal that her lids drooped slightly, as a gleam of blue overtook them. She was unfocused... but Fayble probably knew better to really think she was unfocused, right?

The chests, to show that they were still breathing. Fayble finished her movements and settled into waiting, where Miranda remained her position and single-arm stance. There was a growing bit of something, of nothing. The moment was punctuated by the drop in audio. Those watching over the screens might not be able to hear it, a television announcer standing by to give the play-by-play, likely telling of the very waiting that was going on.

Those in the room, however, would hear it, the growing nothingness. It would be rather acute between Fayble and Miranda, as were there someone speaking (like a teammate and the esteemed host and owner of this ship), their voices would fade into the distance. This was actually happening.

Ante up, double down.

Whether the Commander, or the watching crowd was pleased with the current state of the battle was of very little import. Not everything had to be flashy, active, noisy. This was fine, this waiting. Miranda could stare all day.

She could stare... all day.

-OFFENSIVE STRIKER!-

Miranda's back would be to Stephen during this staring contest. Perfect time for the team's pre-injured member to come in with an unexpected attack. Seriously, who would expect someone wrapped up in all of those bandages to Striker? It was like expecting a three legged dog go out on a fox hunt!

But the HoH medics were indeed geniuses, and despite the bandages on his body, he was capable enough of going out there and drawing some attention.

Tapping the striker button on his FIGHTER, he charged in from Miranda's rear. He would focus energy into his right hand, and tear towards the hammer woman's opponent. As he did so, he would let out a hearty battle cry!

"FINISHING MOVE! GIGA DRILL BREAK!"

Quote: Flash Bomb: Sutii hurls a small orb of energy from his palm that, upon collision with a solid object, creates an explosion of light and concussive force, which can be used to momentarily blind or stun an opponent. This flash affects a 10 sq.ft. radius in all directions, but can be countered by a covering of one's eyes. R1. (Spiritual Ability)

Of course, it was not a GIGA DRILL BREAK, nor a finishing move of any kind - it was just his signature Flash Bomb, and the hand containing it would swing straight at Miranda's head. He was approximately five feet from her as the attack was released, hopefully hitting her in the face and temporarily blinding her with the flash (should she take the bait and look at the noise behind her.) Barring that, the concussive force would no doubt rattle her marbles for a moment as the orb smacked her in the noggin.

He had gotten in and launched the attack. Now it was up to Fayble to not get blinded herself and kick some a**.

Fortunately for Stephen himself, he was packin' some manly shades of awesomeness on his face. smilies/icon_cool.gif

[Time: Approx. 5 Seconds]

((Edit: ...Not sure why I thought Fayble was moving during Miranda's turn... a turn during which no one moved...))

22Abyssal Majesty

Taking a deep breath, Fayble continued to stare at Miranda, the tension in the air was so thick, one could feel it on their skin. Wiggling her fingers a little again, Fayble's attention was quite abruptly taken as Stephen yelled out.

"FINISHING MOVE! GIGA DRILL BREAK!"

Upon seeing the orb in his hand, Fayble clenched her eyes shut right quick, thus avoiding the effects of the flash. Eyes fluttering open just as fast, Fayble took her hammer from her hip and twisted the grip of the handle, making the weapon grow from that of a gavel to a sledgehammer. It was the distraction that she needed to attempt at gaining the upper hand.

Closing in on the distracted/stunned Miranda, Fayble swung her hammer like a baseball bat at he woman's knees in hopes of connecting with and breaking at least one.

"...Man. I'm ********' bored." Griff finally broke out, jumping from what seemed to be a navigation officer's chair. "The Invincible Team Glacier is one chick, two mopey halfwits and a no show. BRILLIANT."

"And FRANKLY, all this boring st is BORING. I expected a hell of a lot more. Regardless of whatever the agitated guy in the other team was spouting off- everything fell on deaf ears for all intents and purposes.

Not all that interested in fighting them, he just busied himself instead with watching the finals taking place in Leviathan via the ship's view screen.

So close. ...so very close. He rested a chin atop one hand, the other simply drumming along the counter he rested against.

Griff scoffed, finally taking the shades off. He was done with the act. It's boring, if no one else spouts off.

"So this is it, then? Team'a Champions is a bunch of ninnies. Hell, your newest member is the only one with balls, and she hasn't even got any. Weak sauce." He turned back to his navigational chair. "So, Commander, can I smoke in here, or would that... ya know... explosive decompression and such?"

He picked his nose after a moment, still watching.

He hoped that wasn't caught on camera, as an afterthought.

Griff sighed, rolling his shoulders. Boredom was setting in, and he imagined the Commander was getting majorly pissed. So, he went on with the typical stretches. Arms, legs, back, neck, the whole nine. "This is pathetic."

He went over to a console and loaded up SINS.

"....."

He wasn't very good at the game.

"So're you guys forfeiting? After Miranda did all that?"

Tapping the striker button on his FIGHTER, he charged in from Miranda's rear...

As for the Flash Bomb... naturally, it would miss since Sutiiven was throwing at Miranda's former position...

The orb would continue "chase" after Miranda as would a rotten apple being fast-balled at a fleeing hobo. ALSO like said apple, the orb would begin to arc downwards as gravity took over the non-controlled ball of energy soared after her. The explosion created by the target was of no concern - with her charging through, the little ball of flashy doom had a lovely human shield to protect it from detonating prematurely.

But alas, there orb DID miss its original target. It would not collide with the head but in the center of Miranda's back. The orb would explode upon contact as if she had just been hit by... well, an exploding fastball, to continue with that metaphor. Far less of a boom than her own, but enough to catch her attention. The flash aspect would sadly go unused, but Stephen had another plan to make up for that.

As Miranda moved from her original location, he would follow her and the flash bomb. Pulling one of his swords, sheathe and all off of his back, he would get in a little closer, draw the weapon, and -

...wait, did he just throw the scabbard?

Yes, Stephen knew he had not enough time to go in closer for another attack, but he could make sure that there was enough distance closed to chuck the scabbard at her head and book it out of there. It was kind of a Hail Mary throw, but presuming she was too focused on multiple explosions and attacking Fayble, it would hopefully do something.

He had to dive to make it back to the Jormungandr bench in time, something which his bandaged injuries would not approve of. But he made it back and tapped the striker button on his FIGHTER as soon as he was legally within the bench area.

BEEP WHUMP

He looked up at what appeared to be Griff's kneecaps and flashed a thumbs up at his Captain - just because he could.

While Griff and Vahn continued to do nothing, two male teenagers sat on the couch at Teenager A's house staring at the screen with controls from an unknown gaming console stuck in their hands.

"What're you doing just standing there for? You came over to play, why aren't you playing?! "

"I'm not doing it on purpose! He's just not reacting to my inputs!"

"...Uh-huh, you're just being a p***y."

"I'm really not kidding," he groaned, button mashing while his eyes stayed fixed on Vahn's character. "He isn't doing a thing, this character is useless! Anyway, why aren't you doing anything?!"

".....Mine won't do anything either, he just keeps taunting like a douchebag, dumbass, but at least he's doing something! Unlike yours!"

Both the male teenagers continued to sit there, watching.

"Maybe it's your controller, I always knew ______ was a shitty gaming console!"

"Don't be blaming it on my ______, I can't help it you can't even button mash! It's no wonder you don't get laid!"

"What?! I get laid every ni-....Wait.....did he just pick his nose?"

Right then, both boys stood up, dropped their remotes, and hit the 'off' button on the console and TV. Soon after teenager A picked up his copy of HOH:2010 with a disgusted look on his face before tossing it into the trashcan filled with used tissue. "Good money, wasted."

"Wanna go watch some porn on the internet?"

"Yea, sure, lets watch two girls one cup again, that s**t's hilarious."

"You're ******** stupid...."

Griff continued to wander around the bridge, remarkably disappointed that Glacier was teamed entirely by babies, and Miranda. But in the process of wandering around, he noticed a very large, red button. This red button was surrounded by yellow and black emergency lines, and there was huge, white text on the button itself.

"...Huh..."

The text didn't register as he sorta thumbed the button before pressing down with his palm. and then it dawned on him which button he just pushed.

"Aw s**t!"

She wouldn't miss the formation of the ice crystal as her eyes didn't stay closed for long. It was like a two second blink, she wasn't playing Marco Polo. There wouldn't have been enough time for Miranda to move in for an uppercut and complete it because of a small detail. At the beginning of their little staring contest, she had stepped back to create a bit of distance.

As Miranda moved forward to begin her attack, Fayble tried to side step to get the hell out of destruction's way while twisting her wrist on the handle of the hammer, making it grow. This said, she didn't get away unscathed. She moved about the same time as Miranda went for the upper cut, leaving her ribs wide open to the bracer aided strike. Gritting her teeth as the attack slashed along side her ribs, Fayble swung her hammer at Miranda's ribs as well. Being that her amulets were activated, the swing wasn't at Fay's normal strength, it was almost three times that, giving it enough force to hopefully topple the titan. If the hammer hit, Fayble would release her electrical charge of 300,000 volts.

Stumbling past Miranda as Fayble's body went with the momentum of the strike, she whipped about and held her side gingerly.

"For ******** sake..."
