THE NOAH DOME

The vehicle pulls up to what appears to be some sort of sport's dome, albeit still being worked on. Cranes and work trucks dot the land around it, as do pallets andpiles of building material, but it looks functionally complete, at the very least. This is the Noah Dome - a project under The Foundation's supervision to broaden their horizons, so to speak.

Why you have been brought here has yet to be revealed, though the message on your FIGHTER spoke of a party in your honor.. but at this location?

Terrain

General - When you first enter the dome, it appears badly lit, offering little; not unlike a surprise party. There are rows of seatsa higher up, with the arena floor being walled off. The walls and flooring are metal - no turf or artificial earth has been moved in yet. There are four jumbo screens hanging from the ceiling, and above the floor-level entrances are higher level, gated entrances - the one closed and opposite to you has light coming from beneath the sliding door. You can sees swaying figures in the dim light around you, but little else. A single spotlight shines down from the ceiling, illuminating a spot on the floor for you.

Weapons - A myriad of melee weapons from every conceivable culture line the metal outer wall of the dome's fighting area - magnetically locked, they will take some considerable force to be removed..

Bonus Effects - Via voice command, a "power regulator" can be turned off and on by the Eliminator, which will nullify supernatural powers until it is turned off. There is also a wind and artificial rain generator, though the access panels are in the top-box, away from the fight.

2Silver Alexander

Code: SILVER ALEXANDER--

--A party is being thrown in your honor as the captain of Glacier--

--Heaven or Hell Staff will provide transportation to the location of the event.--

"Oooh! A party!"

Was exactly what his reaction had been as soon as the alert had been sent to Silver's FIGHTER. It was about time he got some recognition around here. Glacier, or at least he, had been relaxing in the team's suite since they had returned from their little excursion to Lament. Injured hands had kept Silver from doing much between rounds, but his next trip on the airship couldn't come soon enough.

He had hoped they would take it again to the location of their next round, provided it was set in another far off locale, but it seemed HoH Staff would be providing transportation this time around... just for him. Silver would sit quietly in the back of the vehicle that would transport him to his unknown destination. Fidgeting uncomfortably, he wondered why the rest of his team had not been invited to join him. Sure, the FIGHTER had said it was in his honor, but they were a team. Maybe they would already be there. You know, like a real surprise party.

Silver stepped out of the vehicle, adjusting his jacket, hands still wrapped in bandages, though ready for a little action.

"Hey now, this is nice. But you guys didn't have to go through the trouble of building a whole stadium for me! Hah!"

Did he even have escorts or was he just talking to himself?

As he slowly made his way inside, he would look around the incomplete arena, making mental notes about the interesting parts of it's construction. He would eventually step out onto the dark arena floor, his shoes sending out soft echoes as he ventured across it. This was starting to get a little weird, so he would call out into the darkness.

"Hey! They guest of honor is here! ANYBODY HOME... HOME... HOME?"

He would then notice the single spotlight on the floor.

Ah, here we go!

Silver would step under the light, which seemed designated for him. He'd shield his eyes and look up, trying to discern it's origin.

"Alright, Im here! Where's the cake?! I'm starved!"

3-HoH- Judge

Unfortunately for Silver..

The cake was a lie.

Silver's honor guard of event security only went as far as the entrance - he was left to enter alone, and as he made his way into the floor level of the stadium, the team captain more than likely heard the clack of the gates shutting now that he was inside.

The four jumbo screens flashed to life. Images, clips of previous matches ran across the screens.

"SILVER ALEXANDER."

An unseen announcer's voice boomed from the loud speakers.

"Welcome to the party in your honor - unfortunately, there will be no refreshments, and the guest list is rather short. However, we have found a few.. party-goers."

The arena's lighting grew slightly, casting a pale glow. The swaying silhouettes became clearer. Dotting the floor around Silver were men, dressed and armed as differently as the man next to them, but all apparently dangerous. None stepped forward, but they lurked for the time being.

"You have two Heaven or Hell championships under your belt, Silver. But these belong to Glacier - even though you are the captain, you often defer to Vahn Fah. Can you reach the same heights without your team?" the disembodied voice queried.

"What are you, Silver Alexander, without Glacier?" the words boomed. Each jumbo screen showed a flurry of images until they slowed, like a spinning top, leaving one image on each jumbo screen. Each screen showed a portrait of one member or another of Glacier. Vahn. Miranda. Shouyin. Silver.

Slowly, red Xs formed over the faces of each member, which grayed out in turn. The only face left was Silver's own.

"We will find out," the voice promised. The upper level shutter doors creaked open, revealing a silhouetted figure looking down over the proceedings, far out of reach. None of the assorted warriors that dotted the arena floor made to attack or approach Silver - in fact, they seemed to be there solely to keep him from trying to escape prematurely, until his special guest arrived.

The faceless, taunting voice fell silent for a moment, and unseen eyes watched Glacier's team captain intently.

4Silver Alexander

Silver lowered his hand, continuing to look up. His curiosity was quickly turning into excitement. A smile crept across his face.

"OH? Sounds like a pretty lame party to me."

As the wavering shadows gave way to armed opponents, Silver's arms reflexively snapped up into a ready position. His eyes darted around to each one he could make out, but as soon as it became clear they wouldn't yet approach, he lowered his arms back down.

Silver would look back up at the screens, laughing out loud.

"Hah! So, that's what this is? You're calling me out, huh?"

He would cross his arms and lower his head, his bangs falling over his eyes to cast them in shadow as his face became serious.

"Hmph. Jerk. You got my hopes up with the party..."

Though Silver skillfully kept up the external facade of confidence, he had to hide his eyes to cover his wavering determination. To be honest, Silver had questioned his own place on Glacier long before any Judge would. Sure, he was the captain, but wasn't that just a figurehead position? It wasn't some rank arbitrarily given to the strongest fighter on a team. He had always thought his comrades much stronger than him, especially Vahn, but...

"Tch."

A scoff. What would they think of him now, if they saw him doubting himself like this? Surely they would agree that he didn't deserve to lead them, not someone so weak and full of self doubt. But that wasn't Silver, doubt didn't suit him. His role as a leader wasn't to be the strongest. It was to bring all of them together, and keep them together as a team. To be the charismatic face that the public thought of when anyone ever so much mentioned the word "Glacier".

A team was only as strong as it's weakest member. And Glacier still had two consecutive championships under it's belt. This guy, this Judge, had only succeeded in pissing Silver off by bringing up an issue that shouldn't have even been an issue in the first place.

The voice promised. Wrote:

"We will find out."

The grin returned to Silver's face as his arms dropped down to the side, fists clenched tight. He would slowly look up, revealing green eyes filled with fiery determination, as his antagonist more or less finally appeared.

"You certainly will find out-"

Silver raised his right hand, opening it and turning the palm upward. The air above it would suddenly ignite, illuminating the area around him, even more so than the spot light, in brilliant white flame. He would let it burn for a moment, casting a flickering light upon the faces of the countless opponents that now surrounded him, before squeezing his fist shut again and extinguishing it in a bright burst through his fingers.

This joker was about to find out why, divided or together, Glacier and it's captain were the best-

"The hard way."

5The Thunder Tyrant

Though the voice remained silent, a signal had been sent. The roughshod ring of men disappeared, one by one - either through unseen entrances, or by their own metaphysical powers, leaving Silver alone in the spotlight. His flame hadn't cowed them, but for one reason or another, they were gone.

"You talk too much, Silver Alexander."

This voice was new. Calmer, quieter. Closer. If Silver turned to see where the voice originated, he would find a new figure in the dim lighting behind him just two or three meters away, and the new arrival had his back turned to the team captain. He wasn't even looking at Silver - yet.

The lights were still dim enough that the man's lower body was cloaked in darkness, but his upper body was strapped in a leather jacket that seemed to barely stretch across the newcomer's broad back. Black hair reached down to the man's shoulders, blending in with the jacket he wore. His build and stance made it clear as day; he was a fighter. More than that, he wasn't a ploy like the group of men before: This was who Glacier's team captain was going to have to fight.

"There is a saying among my people.."

The man cocked his head to half-way regard Silver over his shoulders. His eyes were opaque, white and glowing enough to illuminate the clay red skin of his face, and the pale scar that cut beneath his left eye. It was impossible to tell where he was looking by watching his eye movement, but his stare was zeroed in on Silver, as if he were taking aim on the man.

"It is better to have lightning in the hand, than thunder in the mouth!"

The man whirled around on a dime suddenly, pointing his left hand out at Silver, fingers splayed and outstretched as if he were reaching out to the captain of Glacier. As soon as his hand drew a gauge on the silver haired fighter, something else came forth--

Bzzzzt~

A blast of lightning emitted from the fighter's hand with a thunderclap like a gunshot in the empty arena and a blinding flash of light, making a bee-line right across the handful of meters that separated them, aiming to catch Silver square in the chest and throw him off his feet as well as across the floor. It wouldn't be fatal - no, the Eliminator wasn't allowed to exercise that much of his power - but it was going to hurt a whole lot.

As if on cue, the lights of the arena flickered on when the lightning bolt was thrown, revealing Deitric Jocasta standing in front of where Silver had just been, his left arm held out in front of him with curls of smoke rising from the leather he wore. For months, he had been reported death, but here he stood, flesh and blood. A dead man walking; Heaven or Hell had seen stranger things.

"You shouldn't talk to strangers - especially the Shades," he commented. Whether "you" meant Glacier as a whole, or just Silver, was impossible to tell. But the warning was clear enough.

6Silver Alexander

Silver's arm slowly came down, along with his head once more as he shut his eyes. It seemed all of his playmates were leaving. How boring. Surely they weren't scared of him. Or...?

A ruse.

Silver would look up and his eyes would open again, yet he wouldn't turn around. He wasn't going to be intimidated. Not any more. For a few tense moments, the two combatants would stand with the backs facing each other, only meters apart. They made a stark contrast, the two of them, clad in their leather jackets, the platinum blond bathed in light, while the black haired man crept in the shadows. It was quite a scene.

To get this close... I couldn't even sense this guy's heat signature. Is he a ghost?

As the other man spoke again, Silver would slowly turn to face him, letting him have his words. He definitely looked like an interesting opponent. Maybe this party wouldn't be so boring after all. He offered the usual smirk.

The Stranger Wrote:

"It is better to have lightning in the hand, than thunder in the mouth!"

Before Silver could even reply, the other man had spun and outstretched his hand. Silver's eyes grew wide.

KRAKA-THOOM!

There was the roar of thunder, and a bright flash. Silver was sent flying backwards.

But he would land on his feet.

When the flash faded and arena lights now illuminating the room, Silver would be seen several meters back from where he had originally been standing, long scuff marks from his shoes indicating he had slid backwards across the floor upright. His arms were crossed out in front of him in an X pattern, the fingers on both hands partially curled and twitching reflexively from the shock as smoke from the impact of the lightning bolt rose from the sleeves of his own jacket. His head was lowered, but there was no pain or fear in his eyes, only excitement.

"Hmph!"

A real lightning-type, huh? I haven't fought a guy like that since... Still, this could be fun.

Just the thought of it made old wounds in his right arm ache. Silver would clench his fists pull both both his arms down to his sides leaving them bent at the elbows, offering his opponent what resembled a typical Karate-styled salute. A sign of respect, for sure.

"Don't worry. I have enough fire in me to spit from both my hands and my mouth."

Silver would put his right foot forward and raise both hands to the ready.

"I dunno who you are pal, but you're about as strange as they come. The Shades offered me some help so I told them I'd hear them out. Believe me, I wouldn't rather be working for anyone but myself."

7The Thunder Tyrant

It was no wonder he had problems sensing Deitric's presence - though he was a metahuman and as alive as Silver was, he only registered to the extra-sensory perceptions of others as a faint electrical anamoly - his body heat, brain waves, all of it was masked in a cloud of electrical disruption.

The tribesman's hand was still outstretched, the smell of burnt ozone wafting through the air around him. A tingling sensation like a thousand needle pinpricks raced back and forth through the flesh of his limb. To be alive again was a wonderous thing - every action had a feeling that came with it. Even something so simple as breathing was a joy, after spending so long without the need of such a function.

He's still standing..

Deitric was genuinely surprised that Silver was still standing; most opponents were laid low, at least momentarily, and that wass prior to his revival. This was a pleasant surprise - it meant that he didn't have to hold back the strands of power that had followed his spirit when it had been deposited back into his flesh and blood body.

Good.

"And what did they tell you?" the dusky skinned fighter asked calmly. Without waiting for an answer, he took a step forward--

--and shot forward, sliding quickly as if he were on ice. The bottoms of his boots were capped with metal, and the floor was steel. Using his lightning power, he was moving forward like a bullet train, his right arm crooked and held in front of him while the left was cocked back, aiming to smash headlong into Silver.

I'm obligated to question him about the Shades - but I won't let that interfere with our fight, he thought, anticipation creeping into hismind. By way of the debt for bringing him back to life, he had to do two things - attempt to gather more information on the Shade's plans with Glacier, and fight the team's captain, Silver Alexander.

A man of little words, Deitric cared little for the former obligation. The latter would prove a more interesting venture, he was sure.

8Silver Alexander

"I--"

Not even a chance to reply. But that wasn't the most surprising part so much as how fast this guy was without even moving his legs.

How-?!

Bringing both arms up, Silver would quickly duck covering his face and head with both arms vertically like a boxer, narrowly avoiding a blow to the face that managed to only graze falling platinum locks, the scene playing out in slow motion. Lowering his field of view, a quick glance down at his opponents feet would yield a shocking revelation.

His boots-! The floor-! Damn, this guy-!

Silver would flash a wicked grin, despite the realization his opponent had home field advantage.

Is pretty smart! Maybe, matches in, I can finally go all out?!

Bringing his left arm down and back a bit, with his body still ducked low, Silver would shoot it the short distance forward and lean to the right, aiming to land a solid body blow under the arm of the opponent that had passed overhead. As the fist rocketed forward in it's arc, time would catch back up. There would be no fire nor explosions just yet, given the relatively short time frame of the exchange.

Plus, he needed to test the waters a bit more with this guy first. Sure, he could throw lightning, but no sense in incinerating him just yet.

9The Thunder Tyrant

When Silver provided the proper counter to Deitric's movements, he didn't even slow down.

Literally; the larger fighter hadn't stopped his forward momentum in the slightest to throw a proper punch - the arm came out, but there was no power behind it. When Glacier's team captain ducked, the arm flung back haphazardly and the tribesman's upper-body was wide open to Silver's counter, as if he didn't even see it coming. He wasn't pulling the arm back, however, he was simply torquing his body to make his real assault.

Deitric's feet left the ground, and a burst of force propelled him the last few feet through the air like a human comet, his left knee leading the leap. The fighter had never planned on slowing down - he was either going to run the other man over, or blast into him. A reverse Superman punch - instead of leading with the knee and following with the fist, Deitric lead with the fist and followed through with his knee.

Quote: ►Blitzkrieg Knee - Similar to the Thunder Drum, Deitric channels his static power into his legs before letting the power explode outwards, propelling him forward for an explosively painful knee attack, which will usually discharge some amount of electricity on impact, depending on how powerful the attack is when used.

FWOOM

Despite his power, Deitric wasn't superhuman - yet. He couldn't react fast enough to account for Silver's punch, and didn't even respond defensively, caught up in his own offensive push - the oncoming fist caught him soundly in the side as he bounded forward through the air, forcing an audible hiss of air from the larger fighter's hips. The pain was almost refreshing - having felt nothing physical for so long, even the pain was something worth relishing after being away from the material world.

That would suit the black-haired tribesman fine - he was all too happy to trade one blow for another with his opponents, whenever possible. And here, he had the advantage of knowing the ins and outs of his opponent, as provided through the files that Noah and The Foundation had given him.

Unless Silver managed to tangle him up in their bombastic collision, Deitric would fly for several more feet with the extra oomph of propulsion that had carried him forward, turning when he landed to keep his eyes on the other man, holding his arms out wide at his waist in a clear signal:

XXXLET'S GO!

10Supreme Jerk Commander

Somewhere, a grown a man just st himself because he was trying to hold it in while waiting on the two fighters to do something.

11Silver Alexander

It seemed that what goes around really does come around. For Silver to have the proper height and distance for a body blow, that meant he would have to have taken the knee pretty much in the face. Not exactly a fair trade, but take it he would.

CRACK!

Silver's head would snap back from the impact of the knee as his fist connected at the same time, instantly regretting not sending this guy flying with a fiery blast . The force of their exchange was enough to rattle the recently installed steel floor, Silver of course getting the worse end of it.

"GUAGH!"

He would stagger and fall back as Deitric soared over him, landing hard on his back. The first real blow had been taken, but he was far from out yet. Dazed from the impact for only a moment, Silver would shake his head off and "kip up" back to his feet. Also turning to keep his front to the opponent, blood flowed freely now from his face. It was amazing his nose hadn't completely caved in from the attack.

Reaching up to wipe some of it away with his right, Silver would look at the blood on his hand, and raise his eyes to his opponent beyond it.

"Chief, I like you style, but..."

The blood on Silver's hand would suddenly ignite shortly before the rest of his hand did. He would whip his hand down to the side, flinging the volatile red liquid onto the metal floor where it would continue to burn as if it were some kind of fuel.

"YOU'RE CHARCOAL!"

Silver would charge forward to almost instantly close the few feet between them, making a short leap forward as he did so. That burning right would come flying forward, glowing white flame trailing off if and flaring out into the open air giving off the appearance of a white feathered wing.

"HUAH!"

12The Thunder Tyrant

Charcoal?

Deitric's lips curled back into a smirk, and his arms remained open when Silver made his approach. Either he was getting ready to eat a flaming punch right to the face, or the tribesman had something in mind for Glacier's team captain. Likely the latter - he'd been caught on fire before; the experience wasn't enjoyable enough to warrant a repeat.

"Not with that small of a flame!"

The dark-skinned warrior's arms swung in suddenly, clapping his hands together in front of him just as Silver was about to bear down on him.

THOOM!

The air around him seemed to recoil, and the ground beneath his feet shook at the thunderclap that echoed through the stadium. A wave of lightning - clearly not conforming to the laws of science that normally bound it, powered by Deitric's will as it was - shot out from his hands a short, tight arc.

It was aimed to catch Silver just below the arm, and the cackling electricity hid the attack's true use - it was meant to blow him back through the air with concussive force, as opposed to lighting him up like a Christmas tree like the lightning bolt at the beginning of the fight could have done.

"If you cannot bring all of your power to against me, I will break you, Silver Alexander," Deitric promised grimly. He knew that the small, singular flame was hardly the extent of Silver's abilities - and he was clearly disappointed that Silver wouldn't throw his best at the tribesman.

With his arms down by his waist, the left hand was balled into a tight fist. Visible arcs of lightning coiled around the arm, whipping through the air like ribbons before tightening, coiling into and around the arm, leaving the smell of burnt ozone in its wake as he stalked forward.

He intended to keep his word.

13Silver Alexander

BZZ-ARP!

"AUGH!"

The white flame extinguished itself, burning out in the open air as it never made contact. Silver's body never made contact with Deitric nor ever the ground before him in a landing. He had easily been sent flying by the awesome power of lightning.

Droplets of blood would escape from his mouth, spattering randomly in small spots around the floor where they would lay only briefly before igniting on their own, only to burn themselves away quickly.

THWUMP!

Silver would hit the ground hard for a second time in not even as many minutes, landing first on his backside then sliding for several more feet on his back.

DAMNIT! What is he?!

Without even catching any rest on the floor again, Silver was back on his feet, this time finding a large burn mark in the right side of his jacket from the lighting blast. Smoke and the smell of burnt leather drifted off him.

d**k!

Silver gritted his teeth, raising both his fists, which would ignite with wild white flames that trailed down the length of his forarm.

"Be careful what you wish for, pal! YOU MIGHT GET IT!"

Instantly, Silver was moving forward again, much faster now that before, leaving scorch marks on the steel where he had stood. Not even moving his feet, Sparks flew from his shoes as he propelled himself forward with explosive force, the same explosive momentum Vahn himself had been known to exhibit. Silver's right shot forward again, leaving a long trail of fire in the air. This time, it was ready to explode.

"SILVER BULLET!"

HoH Strat Guide Wrote:

Silver Bullet – A strong, quick moving, forward-dashing fist attack, augmented by flames and 'explosive momentum'.

14The Thunder Tyrant

That's better.

Deitric started forward, his steel-capped bootheels clacking across the steel floor as he ran headlong towards Silver, aiming to meet him halfway through their dual charges.

SILVER BULLET!

At the same time, the black-haired Eliminator's left fist cocked back, and loosed through the air at the same time as Silver's. Electricity flared to life around his arm, buzzing and snapping in the air around the limb as it tore forward across the space between them.

HoH Movelist Wrote:

►Thunder Drum (<-, ->, ->, A+B) - Easily the most simple (and versatile) attack Deitric can perform, he channels a small amount of energy into an arm (or leg, even) before loosing a single, strong attack with it. This attack generates a stunning amount of force in comparison to his normal ones, more than enough to drop someone regret it should they try and take it on the chin. Once the strike lands, an outward explosion of force is generated, along with a small "blast radius" of electricity [roughly the size of a basketball].

"HAH!"

Assuming Silver didn't pull back, the two fighters' fists would crash into one another between them, sending shockwaves of force through the air with a snap. Both men's attacks seemed to have almost explosive qualities, via different means - in the brief moment of contact, Deitric's jacket and gloved fist caught fire, and Silver would feel a painful, high-powered volt of electricity surge through his arm.

"AGAIN!"

Now, Deitric's right fist swung around with the same intensity and power behind it, aiming to smash into the side of Silver's head, unless he could catch it first with his own punch. It looked as if the two men were standing toe to toe, trying to see who could batter the other down first. The air around them warped like a mirage, threatening to obscure the image that unseen cameras were filming from the unseen control room of the new stadium.

15Silver Alexander

BOOM!

Fists would collide with spectacular force, sending the clothing of both men flapping violently, and rattling the once secure steel floor. Shockwaves of Electricity were repelled by rings of fire, both being sent outward from impact as the two energies canceled one another. Smoke and steam would rise from Deitric while smaller bolts of lightning would arc off Silver and scorch the floor. Waves of force would roll across the floor, stressing the structure around them.

"UUUOOOOGHHH~!"

Drawing back his right, Silver's left came up to match Deitric's, the two clashing again with similar results. But it didn't stop there. This would initiate a quick exchange between the two fighters, where each would send both fists and feet flying at one another in a series of strikes and blocks almost too fast to even see in the distorted air. Waves of flame rolled freely outward, as lightning arced everywhere. As the contest went on, smaller blasts and shockwaves emanating from each impact, the floor around them would begin to warp and distort from the power of their auras. Had it not been steel, the floor of the arena would have long since caved completely.

If the cameras upon them were still able to receive any of this, the picture would appear shaky, cutting out to only static periodically but briefly.

But how long could both fighters continue the assault?

16The Thunder Tyrant

The two men traded blows, blocks and counters in an unrelenting barrage of sound and fury. Deitric's leather jacket smoked and burned, and the skin of his hands was no doubt blackening from repeatedly thrashing through the silver-white flames Silver produced, but it didn't seem to slow him down.

In fact, the tribesman seemed to be getting stronger as the fight stretched on. He had actually been his weakest at the beginning, but as time wore on, he seemed to striker harder, move faster, and whatever supernatural force fueled his lightning wasn't letting up. It was beginning to become apparent that whatever he was now, he was a little more than just a man.

After what seemed like an eternity of deadlock between the two fighters, Deitric decided to try and force a gambit. Almost like snakes rearing back to strike, both his fists pulled back just a few inches, and immediately jumped outward - almost reminiscent of the way a jackhammer's head pistoned back and forth.

Quote: ► (DOUBLE) Jackhammer from Hell - Aptly named for the sort of power delivered by the strike, this is one of Deitric's recently used techniques, and possibly one of the most self-destructive. Pooling whatever amount of energy he wishes to use into one arm, he releases it all at close range in a quick straight, mirroring the hammering motion of its namesake.

The energy released is extremely concentrated, and the result is usually spectacular for the opponent, to say the least. The more energy, the more potent the blast, but the damage it does on Deitric as "backlash" quickly builds up, and can result in broken knuckles, fingers, or even a broken arm. It has been named after the jackhammer because of the straight back-and-forth motion of the hammerhead, which the motion of the punch usually resembles. Used up close almost exclusively.

It probably meant getting caught by at least one or two strikes, as he'd simply stopped blocking to perform the maneuver, and the pain it'd put his arms through would be intense, but Silver would be worse off - what had been fists attached to Deitric's arms were now like dual, simultaneous sledgehammers for a split second, aiming to smash into the team captain's chest and force him further back.

"ORAUH!"

17Silver Alexander

Similarly, steam and smoke were now rising from Silver. The steam, seeping out from under openings in his clothes, which were now smoking from the arc lightning burns that now riddled him. As the battle had grown more intense, his blood was boiling hotter and hotter, increasing the intensity of his flames and steadily heating a larger and larger area around the two combatants.

Still, he was quickly losing ground super-naturally powered Deitric. While the beastly tribesman was only increasing in physical power from the furious onslaught, Silver's body was beginning to wane from the sustained assault. If this kept up, he would be over taken.

What is this guy made of?! He's only getting faster, and won't burn! It's just like the first year... is this the power of all Eliminators?!

Suddenly, there was an opening. His opponent had reared both fists back. Had he managed to successfully repel him? No matter. Even if it was for just an instant... it was enough.

"GOTCHA!"

Silver's eyes flashed. Inches were all he needed. As Deitric's hands went back, Silver's right went forward, pressing his knuckles flatly against his opponent's abdomen. But this was no ordinary punch. Almost instantly upon impact, a massive amount of explosive force would shoot through Deitric's body, in a fashion similar to the other man's own attack.

HOLLOW POINT.

HoH Strat Guide Wrote:

Silver Hollow Point – DM. An extremely close range attack, Silver detonates a powerful compacted explosion just beyond his knuckles directly into an opponent, projecting the concussive force directly through them. An internally aimed attack capable of penetrating armor. Formerly "One Inch Bullet."

But whereas Silver would only land one, Deitric would simultaneously land two.

"GUAHAGH!"

The blow was enough to produce more blood from Silver's mouth as his whole body snapped back, fully uprooting him and sending him spiraling backwards.

18The Thunder Tyrant

"HRGK!"

Deitric felt his own blows connect, but beneath his outstretched arms Silver's own had snuck in, landing a blow directly into the larger man's stomach. The explosive force send Deitric sliding backwards across the metal floor with a screech of metal-on-metal.

Finally, his momentum arrested itself, and the tribesman dropped to a knee momentarily, aspirated blood flecking his lips. He turned his head aside and spat out a gobbet of bloody phlegm, his long hair momentarily obscuring his face. For a moment, the only sound that reigned around him was the sound of his labored breathing.

"Ha.."

The warrior threw his head back.

"HAHAHAHA~"

It hurt to laugh. It hurt to breath. He was burned, bruised, and possibly even broken in some places - but he didn't care. Deitric was alive. The fact that he was laughing, breathing, that he could be burnt, bruised, and broken was just an impetus to push him forward.

It had been too long.

"That's better! Again!" he called out, pulling himself up to his feet, unsteadily at first, but with a frighteningly quick confidence that was undented, and unlike his body, hardly bruised.

"There's still a fight to be fought, Silver Alexander!"

19Silver Alexander

Silver actually made it to the far wall, slamming into it rather violently, denting the metal and dislodging a couple of the weapons that had been neatly placed thereon, sending them clanging to the floor as he bounced forward off of it, falling hard onto his own knees.

His hands were somehow able to reflexively fall forward to catch himself, narrowly avoiding a face plant. He huffed and panted, a few haggard, wheezing breaths before coughing yet more blood up onto the floor. A direct blow to the chest like had definitely caused some internal damage. He could only hope he'd inflicted similar injuries on his adversary.

One of his hands came up to chest, gripping it in pain as he looked up, sweaty platinum bangs fully covering one of his eyes. The other guy... he was laughing. So what could he do but laugh, too?

"Heh... Heheha..."

Ow... This guy... he's insane. I'm already goin' all out and he's ready for more... Heh... I like it! If I don't make it, at least I can be glad that my opponents this year were all entertaining guys like him...

Silver grudgingly climbed to his feet, a little worse for wear than Deitric, but appeared no less eager to continue. He would run a hand through his hair, reseting his bangs out of his eyes.

"Hah... At least you seem to be enjoying this as much as I am... It's been a while... since someone really pushed me to my limits."

Vahn...

"I'm sorry I never answered your question. Though, I don't think you're really concerned about the answer. I honestly didn't pay much attention to the Shades' request... but they want us to find something for them and destroy it before anyone can use it... sounds simple enough, right? I hope that's satisfactory enough an answer for ya... Now..."

If you could see me now... What would you think? Is this... enough?

"Let's get back to business, shall we?"

Silver would slowly raise both arms up, high, his hands reaching over even his head.

"HAAAAAAH~!"

Closing his fists tight, and whipping his arms back down with a mighty kiai, Silver's fiery white aura would engulf him completely, sending waves of white flame rolling outward from his feet. The weapons knocked off the wall would be blown away from him, and the dent in the wall behind him would suddenly grow, as if hit by another impact. As Silver's aura faded, he drew a deep breath, ready for the coming conflict once more. It seemed only 100% wasn't going to be enough for this guy, he'd need to take it to a whole new level. If there was still a fight to be fought, he was sure as hell gonna fight it.

Silver would suddenly come rocketing forward again, approaching Deitric with renewed speed. Literally blasting off from his starting position, Silver would use explosive momentum to propel himself forward in a zig-zag pattern across the arena towards his opponent in the blink of an eye, using carefully controlled blasts to alter his trajectory across the floor and make his approach angle uncertain, leaving only burn marks were he had momentarily made contact with the ground.

With his last "boost" bringing him directly in front of Deitric, he would come in low, as if preparing for another body blow. However, if Deitric should try to strike, he would find Silver rolling forward rather suddenly, moving his right foot back along the ground, it igniting as if it had been struck like a match from the friction, before whipping it out and bring it around heel first in a full circular motion as Silver spun completely. With his leg ignited, he would form a blazing arc of fire through the air.

"URRRIYA~!"

Adrinai the elf had performed a similar attack in the last round, but it was a move Silver was already familiar with. In Karate, it was known as Doumawashi.

Should the foot come into contact with any surface, the already devastating attack would be augmented by a powerful explosive blast.

20The Thunder Tyrant

Throughout their fight, Deitric had picked up on a detail - one that might prove more than a little useful.

Silver's boots were plainly plated with steel; no doubt to provide further force to his attacks and protect him from wayward blades if someone sought to free him of one of his feet mid-kick.

Deitric's arms lowered as Silver feinted, his guard shifting down to block the body blow that wasn't going to come. He had cautiously taken the bait - but he had a reactionary surprise for Glacier's team captain.

As Silver's foot cut through the air, ablaze with fire, it slowed and halted, just a foot or so away from its intended target; close enough to send heatwaves across the tribesman's face and make his eyes water. What looked to be an invisible forcefield was much simpler: magnetism. Opposites attract - and likes repel. Deitric's whole body and the metal of Silver's boot-guards were like metals of the same polarity - they resisted contact. The fighter's face was twisted up in concentration; it wasn't something he did very often, and certainly not as such a fast reaction.

Silver could no doubt break through the momentary barrier, just as one could force two like-charged magnets to touch with enough force, but his opponent took the opportunity and his own booted left foot forward in an abrupt soccer kick, torquing his entire body to whip his own leg forward.

FWISH

His foot cut through the air with a surge of raw, unseen power, aiming to connect solidly with the dead center of Silver's back, right in the spine and lay him out on the floor again. It was a nasty, albeit simple attack - the sort that the tribesman often employed to the chagrin and pain of those on the receiving end.

21Silver Alexander

HAH! He fell for it! I've got--

And then he stopped. His foot had been repelled by an unseen force, leaving him floating there in the air for what seemed like an eternity, but in reality was only an instant. He was defense less from this position. The follow-up he had planned, hit or miss, had been rendered completely void. Good show.

How... Damnit! My shoes! The guy's like one big electro-magnet! I hadn't even thought-

WHAM!

Another solid blow from Deitric. Pain shot through Silver's back from a blow with enough force to bring the nightmare of old wounds creeping back. At least it wasn't a flanged mace this time, though Deitric's limbs were as effective as any bludgeoning weapon.

"HUNGH!"

Silver would be sent flying off to the side again, spinning from the force of the kick. He'd hit the ground hard once more, rolling for several feet before managing to catch himself, and recover from the roll into a crouch, sliding to a stop. He winced, as the pain in his back made it hurt to even breath as he panted.

"Hah.... hah..."

Damn... that'll put a real damper on my kicks. Do I lose the shoes, and some mobility and protection along with them, or do I let this guy do what he wants with my feet? No telling how adept he is with the magnetism... s**t.

Luckily, Silver had always preferred shoes that didn't require laces or buckles. Though he would grunt with the still considerable effort it took to remove them, he could slip his shoes off quickly from this position should Deitric try to press the attack.

From still in the crouch position, he would take off running again, much like a sprinter from a starting line, his feet clad only in socks for only a few steps.

With a mighty leap, he would launch himself into the air from still meters away, jumping high enough to almost clear his opponent completely, but at the height of his jump, he would whip his right foot up, and then bring crashing back down at his opponents head. As it flew, his entire leg cut another huge, bright arc of fire through the open air, the thin material of Silver's black socks disintegrating from the heat.

"Let's see you try that again... b*****d!"

22The Thunder Tyrant

Jumping?

Deitric watched Silver leap into the air, his form momentarily shadowed by the lights.

Never works!

Without pausing to see the downward arc of his opponent's foot, the tribesman threw himself forward into a dive, hitting the metal flooring hands first and throwing himself into a roll, popping back up from the ground and turning to face Silver, who had no doubt landed by now.

It's time to finish this.

Without waiting to see what the other man did, Deitric began to walk forward, his left hand balling into a fist again, curling his fingers tightly enough to draw blood from the burnt and bruised hand. The air rippled and burned around him, ball lightning and flashes of heat mirages snapping to life. The jacket sleeve - burnt and warped from contact with Silver's supernatural fires, seemed to shred into tiny ribbons, floating away on an unseen current, revealing his heavily muscled arm, the dark skin covered in a tribal tattoo of snaking thorns that wove in innumerable patterns over his skin.. The steel beneath his feet groaned in protest, as if something impossibly heavy was pushing against it.

The tribesman pulled his arm back, and then extended it, despite the fact that some few meters still lay between the two men..

FWOOOOOOM!!

The air erupted around the man in a cacophony of raw power and concentrated lightning as he suddenly shot forward like a human comet, enveloped in an elongated, opaque swath of cackling power. The steel beneath his feet warped and bent as his unseen form rolled forward as if he were shot out of a cannonball.

The End Wrote:

►Maelstrom Spiral - Deitric's only true "finishing" move, is similar to the Thunder Drum attack in that it only requires the use of one hand. The main difference is the expenditure of energy and exactly how it manifests. Assuming he has enough energy generated or enough to expend, Deitric can pool it all into a single fist before attacking.

Once the attack has started, the energy begins to spiral in a cyclone fury from his fist and backwards, spilling over the warrior and the area around him. The attack hurls Deitric forward, enveloped in a swirling tempest of power. Anything in the way of the attack will usually be knocked back, and anything directly struck by the punch will feel the sudden reversal of the spiral, abruptly pushed back with an explosion of force and electricity.

The cyclonic sphere of power tore across the last shreds of distance between the two men, and at its center was Deitric's fist. The electrical surge was enough to send an electrical shock through the entire building, short-circuiting out every light, camera, and wire. Tens of thousands of dollars of electronics, burnt out.

And Silver, with his bare feet touching the ground, no longer protected by the rubber soles of his shoes, would be rooted to the floor thanks to the electrical shock running through the steel foor, right in the path of the metaphorical charging bull; a matador without his cape.

23Silver Alexander

His heel completed it's swing to no avail, causing the large wave of white flame to crash harmlessly (at least to Deitric) onto the metal floor, it rolling outward and dissipating at the metal glowed red-hot from super heating. Silver would have never in a million years expected such a simple dodge. Maybe he'd jumped just a little to high... or maybe he finally had his opponent on the run.

Not bloody likely.

As Silver finally managed a clean landing, he would spin around into a forward stance, ready to take off again, when he found Deitric already walking at him. His steely gaze never faltered even as Deitric's purposeful approach heralded the beginning of the end for him.

Something big's coming... This is finally it. Come at me with all you've got, Chief. See if you can stand up... to the power of a MAGNUM!

Silver's right hand would come back, the sleeve of his beloved red jacket burnt and tattered it having received the worst of the blows with the Tribal Dynamo. But before it would even ignite, Silver's eyes would widen in shock.

His feet. They wouldn't move. The tribesman had him right where he wanted him. With his shoes removed, he had no protection against Deitric's ability to project his current through the metal floor. Another simple ability the platinum haired young fighter would have never thought of.

Even though in real time, Deitric would cross the warped floor in an instant, time would slow to a crawl for Silver, the sparks flying and the energy spiraling in spectacular slow motion as it drew ever closer. There was nothing he could do. He was about to get wrecked by an opponent he couldn't believe he had any hope of defeating in the first place.

So... this is it. I've failed. I can't do anything but give up and take it, and just hope for the best. Does it really matter anyway? Will anyone ever see this match? I did my best... it's just a small penalty next round... The guys, they can over come it, even if I... The guys...

Silver's eyes would close, and a smile would cross his face, reflecting fondly upon his team mates.

I'm sorry, everyone... I'm...

...

No.

Silver's eyes would open again, but his smile wouldn't fade. Giving up now, in the final moments... what the hell kind of hero would he be if he let that happen? What kind of Team Captain would he be if he rolled over and died when he was backed into a corner. Glacier was the best. He'd resolved himself to prove it, Goddamnit. Even with the massive amount of force bearing down on him, shredding the remains of his jacker, Silver would stand his ground.

It was true he was right in the path of the bull, and to take down a bull, you needed a big gun. And Silver's biggest gun... didn't require him to move.

I was saving this for you, you yellow-eyed b*****d... to defeat the Devil's Drive. But I suppose... ILL HAVE TO SHOW YOU HOW STRONG I AM RIGHT HERE!

If Deitric's fist were to hit Silver, it would have to pass between Silver's own two fists first, putting Silver and Deitric's bodies exactly at arms length from one another.

There was a bright flash...

24The Thunder Tyrant

Even though Silver was stuck in place the scene seemed to submerge into a congealed gel, slowing down time around them as Deitric's fist neared Silver's, both of the fighters' forms alight with power.

A foot left between them: the air around them practically boiled with raw power, the ground beneath their feat warping and distorting despite its composition. Above them, the dead lightbulbs began to shatter, sending a blizzard of sparkling glass raining down onto their heads. The heat seared their flesh, regardless of elemental affinity or resistance.

Inches left: A thunderclap echoed around them as if the sound barrier had been broken, the air rushing outward from their position with a keening howl. Heat mirages obscured both mean's forms as their battle gave off enough light to illuminate the entire stadium floor. The tattered remains of both men's gloves began to tear away.

Centimeters: The air just between their opposing forces cackled and snapped, fire and lightning spontaneously bursting into existence. The two forces were set against each other, but just like two magnets of the same polarity, they seemed to repel each other. The skin - if any were left, burnt or otherwise - would begin to shred as they neared contact.

CONTACT

BOOM--

With a sound like a bombshell going off, the two energy-forms finally made contact and exploded, as if someone had mixed the two most volatile chemicals possible. Each force was exerted on the other man even though their fists had only touched for a brief moment. The windows of the stadium - several inches thick and recently installed - exploded outward, issuing an earth-shaking report from the building.

Amidst the explosion of physics-defying lightning and fire, Deitric's smoking form could be seen slighting back from the epicenter, leaving rivulets of steel shavings in his wake where his boots had dug into the very steel. He would have crashed into the wall with enough force to dislodge the weapons, but his display of lightning fury had sufficiently deadened the magnetic force of the arena's walls long ago. The tribesman's arm was still held in front of him, a mess of crackled black skin and gore, and blood dribbled thickly from the corner of his mouth.

It was impossible to know whether or not Silver was still standing just yet - but one could only assume he was not. The tribesman picked himself up from the wall numbly, and began to walk towards Glacier's team captain, whether or not he had fallen.
