Firebrand Tavern

Rage was generous enough to reopen his tavern to the HoH crowd. Several improvements were made to counter the place's reputation for burning to the ground.

In Rage's own words, "the building is now made out of stone with wooden accents, so it's practically a fortress.

Anyone who tries to burn it down is an idiot."

Terrain

General - The dining floor has been cleared as best as possible, save the tables and chairs. The bar and kitchen are accessible.

Weapons - Tables are rooted to the ground, but everything else is tossable.

Natural Element Resource - None, despite the name

Bonus Effects - +1 to getting drunk.

2ragingtofu

About 6 hours before the official start of the fights....

"Okay. You're absolutely sure that it won't be burned to the ground this time."

A green-haired man was standing out front, arms folded across his chest as a stout dwarf with a viking helmet stood next to him. "Ach, ladeh. Ah ad'eh sim ext'r impro'ents, yeh win'tbeh disah'pented. Stohn'garn'tehd nit ta beh'n."

"Watts. They burned the stone down last time."

"Dwa'f sto'n."

The man looked down at his dwarf companion with a blank stare for a few moments before shrugging. "Whatever you say. C'mon. Better get the rest of it cleared out for the main event, a little publicity never hurt anything."

The duo headed into the building.

3Kenji III

He put on his dino themed helmet. Unlike the television show he and his team hadn't exactly mastered being able to zap their skin tight Halloween costumes on in a rainbow ray of justice. Hell, he was still getting used to the feeling of being naked in it. Weird how he felt more comfortable walking around in the snow actually nude than wearing this suit, and to think he had worked with a similar group of sentai before never once thinking the cosmos would royally ****** him in the a by placing him in the world's biggest fighting tournament (sorta) against his will dressed up as nothing but a homoerotic red man. Sighing, least it was comfy.

Gary had been the first one to arrive to the bar, which was of no surprise to him. His friends weren't big people people and had hardly been seen the entire duration of the pre game jazz unlike him who had been stabbed by a mysterious cloaked man and was the only member of the sentai to attend last night's banquet. He had actually had the fortune to run into today's opponents who were no undoubtedly bashing his team for being gay and pointless. He would like for the rest of this paragraph to be about pointing out why the pot was calling the kettle black, but this was a tournament not Grind Time. The Red Ranger rested his left shoulder on the wall as he waited for the rest of the teams to get here. His sword was being held with the end of the handle by his left hand with the tip of the blade lightly resting on the wooden floor.

He patiently waited.

A slow start.

4Unknown

If it walks Challenge it....

A second man, sat at an out of the way table. He wore an equaly gay and tight suit, though his was green. His outfit had a few accouterments the red ranger's didn't.

He sat, a glass of cream soda in front of him. the mouth part of his green dragon helmet was raised. Mr.Green's white gloved hand wrapped around the glass as he sat waiting for this fight to start.

He didn't really have much to say, so instead he said nothing, he sat there, long dagger at his side. He sipped his glass. His guess was he'd be the second to fight, so mostly he'd have to wait til Gary finished his fight.

.....If it fights Kill it

5Tsuki III

A young, black-haired woman would be seated across from Mr. Green, an open can of Coca-cola cupped inside her right hand. Both her hands would be clad in SAP Gloves though she would otherwise appear completely unarmed and unlike the rest of her team she wasn't wearing a power ranger suit. She couldn't be payed enough to wear the pink power ranger outfit they had wanted her to wear during the tournament, or that of any other color for that matter. For the while she would remain sporting her ordinary attire.

It would be after she'd take a small sip of her soda that Tsuki would then sigh, blue eyes wandering across the tavern as she awaited and watched for the others to arrive, her mind curious to see the other members of the team they would be facing in this round.

6C-Z-N

Having heard the horror stories of pesky news crews and rabid Heaven or Hell fans, Canaan had taken care that he got to the place where he was scheduled to fight as soon as possible. It was the Firebrand Tavern, a cozy little bar that was a far-cry from what the warrior had come to expect, given all the craziness that surrounded the Black Sand Bar.

"Anybody home?"

Pushing the door open and stepping through, Canaan noted that the entire place had been entirely cleared out save for three people in funny costumes that happened to be lingering around near the bar. One one a green costume and was sipping at a drink, there was a red guy in the back twirling a sword, and a woman that didn't seem to want to fit in with the group - maybe she was a waitress that didn't get the memo of what was going on today?

"Right, you guys are Super Sentee?" Or however the hell you were supposed to pronounce that. And he thought Yasuo had a funky as hell name.

Sitting down on a table nearby he looked over the three, who by now must have been deciding amongst themselves who was going to be fighting the first member of Shattered Steel that had walked through the door. Personally, Canaan didn't care which one of them decided to come after him, he'd come prepared.

Yes, even though none of his weapons were visible on his body, and all he was wearing was a blue shirt and some jeans, the man had plenty of armor and protection just waiting to be called into action. Yeah, slow start indeed.

7SaiDain

True to his nature, Will would have been the last of his teammates to arrive. Like most of his comrades he would have been wearing a full-body suit with a helmet that was designed to vaguely resemble a dinosaur. His suit had a mostly blue color scheme and would remind most of a triceratops. As he entered the tavern, he would look around getting a feeling for his surroundings.

It felt like home to him. His team could not have gotten a more familiar environment. Now, his team weren't drunkards...okay he wasn't a drunkard. Missions just tended to start and end with bars. Will would have by now been standing by his teams awaiting the arrival of his rivals. So far, it had seem that only one person had arrived from the other side.

As he waited he couldn't help but wonder

"How would his team fair?"

8Kenji III

Surprise, surprise

His team actually had gotten here before the most of his opponent's.

It wasn't a big shock. Shattered Steel was probably treating this as a by round, and if he was in their shoes he would have done the same. Fox Kids had never produced something as offbeat and just plain bad as the Power Rangers and seeing as this professional tournament had a team based around them he could understand why no one would feel like getting out of bed when one fighter should be able to disable each those one of those colored maniacs without much effort. The first guy on the opposing team even had blue hair. He could tell why they were so snobby; Super Sentai aired on ABC Family. Shattered Steel aired on Cartoon Network. That was such a big difference. Sarcasm dripped off his every thought, but he decided to just keep playing the part. They won't be showing this fight on TV due to the massive media attention more popular people were generating. If these kids were hoping to jump start their show's rating by participating in a tournament, they were going to be s**t out of luck this round.

The blue haired man sat down. Gary watched him under the cover of his helmet as his opponent had probably assumed much of the team was doing since this guy was the only member of his own to arrive already. He didn't even have the motivation to stand up. This guy had to ******** sit down. Moving a bit from his position on the wall Gary decided he was going to make the first interaction between the two groups for today since everyone else would be looking at him to fight first anyhow. He waved his right hand in a friendly gesture to his foe not really caring if he got anything back in return. It was just to show that least one team respected the other.

"Hello." He said breaking the ice with a cinder block. "My name is Gary Oliver. This is Mr. Green, Tsuki and Page... I mean Will. Guess we're fighting today. Haha." He laughed putting his right hand on his hip. His sword was still pointed at the ground. "Do me the honor; fight me in front of our millions of viewers." He said epically. Now his hand made a fist. Not like a fist he would punch with. A fist he used to convey that he meant business.

9The Black Sand Mule

Rhoslyn paused outside the door, rubbing the back of his neck. He wasn't really feeling all that great - emotionally, at least - but for the time being, his wangst was being slowly and steadily replaced with adrenaline and bloodlust. With one more sigh, he pushed the door open (pulled, depending) and trudged in, followed by his oldest daughters and two black-haired, pale, and professionally bored looking women.

After giving the other team a once-over (mostly to see any weapons and active supernatural effects), the faerie made his way over to the table where Canaan was sitting. He didn't sit himself down, though, simply holding his briefcase o' pain in his right hand as he looked at their rivals. Nice outfits, but they belonged in a gay dungeon.

"Yo."

He wouldn't wave, choosing instead to glance around. Yeah, he could see a bored-looking camera and sound crew. Nope, this wasn't gonna be a primetime fight. Hell, they were paying more attention to the four bits of female a** that'd walked in, sparkling and generally looking like fanservice.

"Looks like we're third-page news, eh?"

10C-Z-N

Canaan was by far less bitter about this whole thing than the Red Ranger and Rhoslyn. Sure these guys looked sort funny in their costumes and the news crews didn't look all that pumped, but Canaan still expected a good fight out of them. If they were pushovers they likely wouldn't have gotten past the judging process.

"I'm Canaan Noble," he said with a smile, "This fine gentleman next to me is Rhoslyn Vernal. And I'm still waiting on my other two friends, Kain and Yasuo. You guys'll like Yasuo." People with goofy names always seemed to know the secret handshake of companionship.

Cracking his knuckles and rolling his neck, Canaan hopped up off the table - the camera crews immediately focused on him as he began to walk toward the Red Ranger. "I don't have any real stipulations for the match, other than to make it a good one."

Now seemed like a good time to enter BATTLE MODE.

Activating his dragon-spirit, bright blue light engulfed his arms and his legs, giving way in a shower of sparks to a set of blue metal gauntlets and greaves. The thick armor would help protect against the Red Rangers blade, while the razor sharp claws on the fingers and toes would allow Canaan to rip through the ranger.

There were also a few added buffs that came with the appearance of the gauntlets, naming an increase in physical strength. He'd have no problem cracking the rangers helmet if he landed one good solid punch. When this energy was flowing through his body, Canaan couldn't help but be psyched up and feel ready for a big fight.

Canaan quickly got into a fighting stance, bringing both his heavy metal fists up like a boxer and spreading his legs apart to shoulder width. He couldn't exactly raise up on the balls of his feet due to them being encased in steel, but that wasn't going to hinder his performance in the battle.

"Whenever you're ready, Red."

11Dragosani Kain

It was decided. He was upgrading to stogies. One glowed brightly from the corner of the Devil's mouth, a stream of grey smoke blowin' in the wind as he rode in on the 'hog. The scene was kind of strange, being that the last time he saw the Firebrand it looked much more charred than now.

"Hunh."

He strolled into the tavern, his heavy boots clumped damply against the wood floor. Though, something seemed a bit off...the acoustics were much more...'fortified'. Hmmmmmm. Whatever it was it was delayed him from a fresh pint!

The other seemed to be already present, Canaan and Ross also around. Good schtuff, not much waiting then. He slipped out of his black duster and tossed it onto the bar while making his way to his team's side, more to the point, behind the seated blue haired man.

"Hola, amigos."

GRIN

12The Crossed Fox

Last but not least, the shinobi would show up in the doorway seemingly careless. Just as the other team members had, he too went to the table that Canaan had been sitting at. He gave a quick glance to each of the competitors on the other end, picking out the one in a funky looking green costume as his interest rather than the one in red. Before he could even get a greeting out,

"The hell is that?"

The shinobi whispered to his teammates. "A frog? Or some sort of raging teenager?" It was well known in todays society that teenagers had a tendency to express themselves in brightly colored outfits and odd-natured activities. He guessed this was no different, really.

He had his gourd of water on his back, wrapped up and sealed tightly , his blade crossed opposite upon it, and his miscellaneous smaller weapons in his inner vest pocket. He was definitely prepared for this match, in his mind and body. There wasn't going to be much that could stop him, unless of course these guys had something clever up their sleeves.

"Hm." Yasuo hummed to himself while examining the arena. There was stone everywhere, perfect for his Earth affinity. He had also heard that there was a tradition of burning down this place, something that seemed nigh impossible due to its structure. "Eh." It was time to focus on who fights who now, so most thoughts would cease.

13The Black Sand Mule

Rhoslyn briefly wondered if Yasuo could make stone flammable with his earth powers. He also glanced at the a** of one of his Raven Knights, made a deep sound of appreciation in his throat, and entirely forgot about the flammable stone thing.

14Dragosani Kain

Well, while Ross was getting his eyes off, Kain was leaning over the bar for a mug. A good strong one was what he found and it'd do just fine to hold the contents of the mickey of Stolichnaya Vodka, stashed away in his duster. The Devil, Mug in one hand and sword in other, went about his business to marrying the two - WODKA & MUG.

"So, you guys are--uh..--"Filling up his glass, "...fawk this is ridiculous..."he murmured under his breath. Power Rangers. Power. Rangers. Kain shook his head in disappointment before taking a mighty swillin' o'that booooooze.

On his way back to the 'ring' side table, he snagged a chair and flopped down onto it, resting his legs up. Hopefully Canaan didn't get bored enough, The Devil could use the time to catch up on his afternoon nap.

15Supreme Jerk Commander

Meanwhile, a couple hundred miles in space...

His fanfare blasted over the internal speakers.

His crew snapped to attention, firing off crisp salutes.

His ship was ready.

His chair waited.

The Commander took his rightful place at the commander's seat, his brown eyes focusing upon the massive display screen before him.

“At ease.” He said, relaxing the bridge crew. “How’s she holding up, Ensign?” The young, uniformed officer flanking him stiffened.

“We’re holding Geocentric orbit about 232 miles above Barton, sir. All systems are running normal.”

“Excellent. What is the status on the ground?”

“Round one is now underway, sir.”

“Well then, let’s see what they’re up to. Ensign, select me a fight. If it’s an entertaining one, I might consider your promotion.” Only one with a will as steeled as The Commander could make such a statement while keeping a straight face. Really, something mildly entertaining coming from jerks with those profiles? Then again, no one could tell regardless as his facial features were swallowed within the void beneath his helm.

“Aye.” The Ensign nodded, and tapped a few buttons on the console next to him. Actually, this console was on the Commander’s very seat. He could have selected something himself, but where’s the fun in that?

-Click-

Just like that, any hopes the Ensign had for a promotion were jettisoned into space.

16Kenji III

And the third page statistical fight was underway.

Hopefully more sectaries would have their chances of promotion jettisoned with the archive footage of this match when the day was over.

It wasn't too shocking to see the blue haired man stand, power up and then acquire himself some new gear. Most of these hotshots rolled that way, and he had made no assumption whatsoever by what he saw when he first entered the bar. No one was stupid enough to enter this tournament with just their skinny white a** and puffy anime doo. It was that and the fact that the judging process would have weeded out the guys joining who would defiantly end up another casualty which could make for bad news for Heaven or Hell. Gary had an idea what to expect from these guys, and from what he could see from their glaces they already had guessed the ending of this episode.

Gary would step forward with his right foot and would simultaneously send a right punch to the man's face.

The show was underway.

Too bad no one was watching.

1/17

17C-Z-N

The media crew had already mapped out in their minds exactly what was going to follow. Canaan was going to block Red's punch and deliver some kind of counter, and from there it would be like watching a boring, flashy boxing match.

Boy were they in for a surprise.

As soon as Red moved in, Canaan dropped his right hand onto the back of a chair, his clawed fingers gripping holes in the back-rest to get a firm grip, and immediately he swung it with a full hip rotation into the rangers left side. Given the magic that flooded his body and powered up his muscles, the impact would most definitely be enough to splinter the chair, and unless the red spandex had a high resistance to blunt trauma, cause some serious pain in his opponent.

If Red followed through with his punch, it'd clip Canaan in the face about the time he was being hammered with the chair.

Whether or not it hit or missed, the media would be taken off their guards by such an unorthodox attack right at the start of a fight. Most people waited till they were out of special attacks and punches before they started swinging the furniture around.

//"Why not just counter normally?"//

"Punching a helmet didn't seem like a bright idea, and I didn't want to go for a bodyshot and leave myself wide open to a headbutt from it. This'll set him off his guard. He won't know what to expect from me!"

The mental conversation didn't throw Canaan off his guard, he'd gotten very use to multitasking a fight and listening to the dragon berate and criticize every single move that he happened to make. Replying back with a justification was second nature.

[1]

18The Black Sand Mule

Taking his mind off DATASS in time to see the guy swinging for Canaan, Rhoslyn jumped the ******** back and went off to the side closer to the kitchen, trying to keep his space from the fight. Close enough to be in easy Striker range, and near a few of the tables, but far enough to not actually be interfering.

He opened his briefcase, and reached in, wrapping his hand around... something. Dun dun duh.

19Kenji III

The ********?

WHAM!

The second his knuckle caught the man's chin he was rocked hard by a ******** chair. He had seen the guy reach around and grab it, but instinct, the mode of combat, propelled him forward to just nail the guy in the face with a straight up jab. The chair shattered like a porcelain doll on his left side bruising ribs, drawing blood and most importantly; ruining his highly expensive trick r treat costume with his first move of the tournament. The hit was very much unexpected, but like any true Gaian he had learned the cliche to expect the unexpected a long time ago. It was almost an every day thing with him and meeting chairs. The strike rocked him, but he kept as steady as he could without wavering because his opponent had forgotten one little detail.

His sword.

Grunting in pain, what he really wanted to do was rub his left side, but the second he clipped the man's face he retracted his right arm and would simultaneously step forward with his left foot, pulling his sword up and sending a powerful stab up to the man's unprotected gut with his sword (that was aforementioned to be in his left hand) to drive the long blade through his back.

2/17

20Dragosani Kain

"OH s**t!"

He reered and cackled in glee.

"YES! YES!"

The use of a chair was spectacular, Kain was a big fan of improvised weapons and, though, sure they were available and at hand (lol) it was lovely. Personally, reflecting, he would've done the same; taken the hit to get in the punch, but that's because he was a glutten for punishment, not because it was tactfully sound.

The Devil knocked back another swig in celebration. Now that the fight was finally underway, he rocked forward onto his feet and watched much more intently on the action. Too long, definitely too long since his last fight.

21C-Z-N

Shards of chair scattered and clacked off the floors, leaving Canaan holding nothing but a piece of broken wood in his hand. It didn't make a good stabbing weapon because it was unwieldy, but it'd have made a fine bashing tool if the guy weren't wearing a helmet.

As Red recomposed himself, Canaan dropped the broken piece of chair and retracted back into a defensive position. He kept his arms close to his chest and his body slightly parallel to the Red Rangers. Standing like this gave him something of an advantage if he wanted to dodge out of the way of an incoming strike.

Like say the one that Red quickly followed through with his injured left side.

"Hrr!"

Canaan snarled as the sword came driving home for his stomach! Stepping forward and to the outside of the sword-arm, keeping his body parallel, but not escaping as the edge drew a line of crimson across his stomach, Canaan's left arm grinded over top of his opponents as he aimed a punch with vertical knuckles (fingers up and down) towards the guys solar plexus.

With that enhanced strength of his, this was going to do a helluva lot more than just wind his opponent. The guy would be lucky if he could catch his breath again for awhile. No doubt he would be put on his back from it. The only things that'd save him about now would be some kind of inhuman durability. But Power Rangers didn't have that. Then again, Canaan hadn't been watching ABC on Saturday mornings.

The blood leaking from his fresh wound and the burning pain were a reminder that this fight wasn't a joke.

//"Why is he trying to kill you in a non-lethal tournament?"//

[2]

22The Crossed Fox

This Red Ranger figure seemed to be pretty stuff, being able to shrug off a chair blow to the ribs. It wasn't bad, nor rare for any warrior to shrug off a blow like that anyway though. In fact, it almost seemed like it were regulation amongst most warriors around the world, including himself. There was something that even Yasuo wouldn't have totally expected though, coming up.

The stab...

"Wha-" was the only thing that left his mouth as the blade came in for what would obviously be a deadly strike. Yasuo had hoped that it was intended for Canaan to dodge, otherwise things looked mighty fishy for what many called a "Power Ranger" to use such force in a tournament. Canaan turned out to be ok though, and had even been able to turn things around. It looked like he was about to-...

"Hm." Yasuo brought his hand to his chin, and his other supporting its elbow.

23Kenji III

Red vs. Blue

They were getting somewhere now.

Some kids were zooming through their channels and would come across their favorite morning show hero in a tournament! Unlike Yu Yu Hakasho's second season however this wasn't some flashy bang bang magical woohah. This was getting down right gritty and gory. For the first time in TV history a power ranger's flesh could be seen through his costume as small sprinklings of blood oozed out from the red and white costume. Also there was blood on his sword from the big gash through the man's stomach. This s**t was straight up PG-13!

What would parents do now?

What would happen to the kids if they were caught watching the Red Ranger covered in blood?

They would be uh oh in trouble.

It felt great seeing this blue haired guy get ripped a bit. The shiny crimson on his blade made him smile, but thanks to his fashionable helmet no one could see his pearly whites. The guy had scrambled to get away from being impaled, and now was on the offensive throwing a hefty meat lovers strike to his solar plexus. Something about those gauntlets just made him not want to get decked by them. So as the lefty came homing in Gary would simply twist his wrist moving the blade upward to

Clang!

intercept the man's attack hitting the gauntlet at the wrist with the lower ten inches of the blade and would knock it to Red's left. As that happened Gary would step forward again with his right foot to get on Blue's left side so that his front body was facing that side and would immediately send his right hand into the man's cut open tummy (his hand would obviously try to enter the lefter side of the gash) and would push his way inside the man.

"Don't show too much pain." He whispered for Blue to hear. "Think of the kids."

"Do it for the kids, man. Do it for the kids."

DATASS

No, that’s not what he was watching. The skirmish was underway and The Commander looked on with genuine interest. He completely expected these two gentlemen to stare at each other from across the room, both refusing to make the first move because they were paralyzed with the fear of being countered.

He was wrong. Perhaps the Ensign would get his promotion. But the night was still young, and there was still plenty of time for s**t to go wrong.

"Sir, that last attack looked malicious. Isn't this tournament non-lethal?" The Ensign asked with a look of wonder scribbled upon his face.

"Short answer, YES, long answer, NO."

"Uh.. Sir Isn't 'NO' shorter then-?" A raise of the Commander's gauntlet silenced the Ensign.

"Quiet, this is getting good."

25Dragosani Kain

STRIKER

Canaan was going for a shot to the solar plexus, this would make for killer combo TYME! Flipping the lovely switch on his FIGHTER Kain thought that the red ranger didn't get enough CHAIR in his FACE---

("HEY.")

--Err, torso. The Devil hefted up the wooden seat from where he had seated himself, jumped to the table he was resting his legs, pumped those legs to propel him forward (almost spilling his vodka D=) in a dastardly DEVIL DIIIIIIIVE !!!

HA HA HA HAA

The wooden weapon would be coming round as Jason Gary's gut tickle attack was on its way, unfortunately that'd be cut out as the chair would be connecting with his upper left chest/neck/collarbone, and helmeted face in a terrible diagonal blow. He wouldn't be able to just take-the-hit and be the paramount to stoicism everywhere this time, no no, this baby had POWAH behind it. Getting knocked back was happenin' and he'd get a face full of Devil to boot.

Kain would tumble down, of course, atop the two. Gary would, no doubt, take the brunt of it, especially since Kain's right shoulder would be in line to roughly where he had previously sought to strike. Cannan would get a knee to the shoulder and probably a smelly foot in the face, but, it was good for him. Built character.

26C-Z-N

Red's attempt at DEFLECTION didn't work exactly like he thought it would, given that Canaan had stepped forwards and to the outside during the sword thrust. Meaning that his fist was well up past the rangers forearm as the sword was just coming back from reaching its apex.

Nevertheless!

The ranger managed to knock Canaan's wrist up and to the left with his bicep or inner elbow, or whatever part of the arm Canaan's own wrist happened to be at. None of this really made a lot of sense, but ******** you it still worked anyway.

"Grr."

Canaan fought to control his annoyance at being denied, needing to keep his composure as the ranger side-stepped around to his left side. This would put him on the outside of Canaan's defense, with his rips perfectly exposed to attack. Quickly, the dragon warrior retracted his left hand as Red's own free hand came in for some kind of fingery punch thing. The tips of those fingers simply touched Canaan's wound, and Canaan grabbed that wrist to keep it from happening, then---s**t WENT DOWN.

Canaan suddenly took a hit to his shoulder as black and red and brown engulfed his field of vision. It was THE MOTHA ****** KAIN. And here he was smashing a chair over the Red Rangers head, no doubt the guy would be feeling that st in the morning. Meanwhile, Canaan tumbled off to his left, releasing the rangers arm in the process and taking some nasty foot to the face in the process. The devil was most likely going to end up landing on top of the Red Ranger.

When all was said and done, Canaan would be in a kneel with Kain and Red Ranger on his right.

"What the monkey balls just happened?"

[3]

27Kenji III

"Do it for the kids..."

He had already received a WHAM! now he got a

BAM!

Now it was only fitting if he got a THANK YOU MA'AM! next.

Gary had for less than a second of notice that the man was hurdling through the air like Rocky the Flying Squirrel with another ****** chair attack. These guys were making him pay for all the times he had done the same st to other people. This time was a bit different however. It struck him like hard. Like, really ****** hard. He felt his lungs just stop on a dime. All the air gone. More splinters and shards of wood cut open bigger gashes throughout his already injured left side. Blood squirted up from all over. st felt exhilarating. It had been a long time since he had been hit with such force and animosity. Guy deserved props, but it also had been a long time since someone jumped at him. Unfortunately for Blue's hero Gary wasn't going to get out of this little charade empty handed. His sword had been pointed up. The super striker man was coming from where; up there. The sky like a ******** meteor. As the man came crashing back down to earth Gary moved his sword to point in the man's general direction and as he fell to the wooden floor from the hit the devil would have nowhere else to go sides on top of Gary which, thanks to physics, would mean he would have to go through the blade to get there.

Digest steel, brah. Because it was going through your stomach like a subway.

Gary would be lying there on his back. He hadn't been in this position since grade school.

28The Black Sand Mule

Rhoslyn watched s**t go down with a pleased little smirk on his face. It seemed that the other guy thought he was gonna pull something off, but when Kain FLYINGCHAIR'd him upside the head, Rhoslyn knew exactly where this was going. Well, not quite exactly, but when the man did the smart thing and used gravity and steel to prove his point to Kain...

"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH-!"

Rhoslyn ducked and covered his head.

29Dragosani Kain

The chair would fly into pieces, scattering to the floor in a mess and leaving Kain holding onto the two legs he had in his clutches. Down he tumbled, he was going to try and pin the dude to lay on some vicious punches but,

"HRRUUKK--UK--ahhhhh.." Kain felt the sharp bite of steel piercing his gut--"ahhh......ha ha ha haaaa."

Crawley Wrote:

YOU MUST NOT KNOW WHO I AM.

The laughing was mixed with small sprays of blood to the red ranger's mask, miniscule to what was dousing the man's body from the sword would. What more, Kain could help but spew out the contents of his bleeding stomach all over the man's upper body.

Kain would thrust the two leg spikes to Gary's shoulders, especially the sword bearing one. That one got most of the Devil's attention, twisting right in there to get to the tendons. Using the spikes to push himself off The Devil would tumble back, insane with laughter, pushing with his strength to the side lines. On his exit, a final farewell.

"You..must not know who...I am.."

Quote: Blood Mine: Where Kain's blood is, there's chance of explosion. His blood is power and a conduit for his fiery energy. Through telepathic communication and energy transference, provided there is blood spilled from Kain's body, he can have the splatter, puddle, pool, etcetera blow up, like a bomb.

Immediately, the Red Ranger would feel the exasperating PAIN of being assaulted by FIREY IMPACT. The blasts would flow in small successions to add to his confusion, each like solid heavy hitting punch with knuckle dusters, the face of the helmet would smash into pieces, splintering the bits to the unprotected flesh beneath, the rattling of the impact would daze the man incredibly. That is, right after the blood along his abdomen, solar plexus and chest went off to take away Gary's breath and push those bruised ribs to cracking, if not to break. That'd leave a bit of white of hurt across the screen of his mind. His weapon hand, Mr.Stabbypants we'll call it, would suffer fractures and breaks like no other part of the ranger's body, the power between those phalanges would likely blow some of those fingers off. All in all, Gary would be suffering internal bleeding, various debilitating blunt trauma and be left gasping for breath. A little more worse for wear than the Kainer.

This show was going to be taken off the air. Because, least of all, the fire would make short work of the 'trick or treat' costume of his. How well does that plastic like crap work against fire and with you in it?

"HA HA HAA--KOFFF-KOFFF, awr...balls...hehehheh."

9.3 seconds and it was time for a drink....may be a tad difficult now with a hole in him, maybe it was time to just sit back. Kain was assured, this fight was done...he may have sacrificed himself out of a right this round but it wouldn't be a useless one.

30The Black Sand Mule

"-SNAAAAAAAAP."

Rhoslyn looked back up and grinned. Looked like he'd have to fill in for Kain in Round 2. That suited him just fine.

31C-Z-N

Suddenly, EXPLOSION! BLOOD EVERYWHERE!

"Kain!"

Canaan covered his eyes with his gauntlets, ducking down and away from the shower of fiery gore. He had no idea what would be left of Red after that - he'd never seen this ability of Kain's up close and personal.

It was at once horrifying and magnificent.

The media exploded to life, zooming and focusing on every little detail they could. Censors were obviously in place to cover up what a haggered mess was sure to be left of Canaan's opponent. Would he still be standing? Would he figure out a way to GET OUT AND KEEP FIGHTING?

Viewers were on the edge of their seats. To really put some awe into the moment, the cameras zoomed in on Canaan as he stood up and stared expressionlessly at what would be there after the smoke cleared away.

[4]

32Kenji III

He got his THANK YOU MA'AM!"

As the striker speedily slithered down the blade his blood, which for some reason hurt like a b*h, began to get on his suit and helmet a bit, and a quick thought that this guy might be able to still grapple him even with the sword through his gut. That st wouldn't be good. He was already going to have a fun time picking pieces of chair out of his skin after the fight. Gary didn't need more s**t to worry about addressing after the match, and regardless he knew it wouldn't be smart to have him rest on top of him. So he would tilt the sword (which was still pointed up mostly being balanced against the hardwood floor with his left hand) to the left quickly before the guy could stab his shoulders with the leftover seat and missing most of the man's stomach blood as it narrowly dropped passed him as he would at the same time would roll to the right. He had every intention of going right back at Blue until...

Pop!

Bang!

and Crack!

Places on his chest his helmet began to literally explode. Patches of skin; blown off. Blood; spilled. n**e; nonexistent. Ribs; crunched twigs. The list was going on as he stumbled around in a panic to figure out what the ****** was going on around the bar. He now was totally blind with the helmet on as he began to get destroyed. The heavy duty plastic was melting and burning as he reached up with his free hand and snatched it off his head tossing it onto the ground. He was short of breath. Blood ran down his chest like he was auditioning for the role of Jesus in Passion of the Christ.

Red slowly stood up.

"Who's next?" He asked cocking half of a smile. His body was shaking uncontrollably now.

But he still was going to keep on going as long as he possibly could. Under the floor where Blue stood a sizable hole meant for his left foot would begin to form. The dwarven stone would slowly digress away from the wood that encased it forming the foot hole. The only problem was that Gary couldn't control the wood, but Blue weight did and since it was only an encasing the wood wasn't thick enough to support the heavy weight of the man's left greave. This would then be the reason Blue's left foot would suddenly crash down into a small four foot deep hole as soon as Red stood up.

5/17

33C-Z-N

He stood up.

He stood up.

How?

The man was walking on borrowed time. Pushing his badly damaged body like this could only lead to even more severe injuries. Canaan started quickly walking towards him as he got up, though attacking was the last thing on his mind. At this point he'd have to be extra careful so as not to cause a fatality.

Because he'd started walking away, he'd likely avoid having his foot dropped into a four foot hole. Now if he'd missed something and the floor did give underneath his foot - it still wouldn't have been much of a problem. The wood flooring would collapse into the hole, but Canaan wouldn't just drop down into it, he still had his other leg to balance one and he could easily put his left foot back on solid ground.

"Anymore of this and you'll die. You should surrender!"

//"That is such a cliche, whelp. Most of these ones are too proud to surrender. You're wasting your breath. END HIM!"//

"He's hurt really bad, it wouldn't be right..."

//"Spare me this tripe of yours and FINISH THE MATCH."//

Canaan mentally sighed as he closed the distance between the two. He balled up his right clawed fist and tilted his head down, focusing his eyes upon the tattered body of his opponent. And he began to focus his own magical energies.

"Please. Just surrender..."

34GreenRanger44

-Striker-

As Gary fell, and the dragoon guy started stalking toward him, Mr. green would stand in a flash. the force with watch the 6 foot tall green ranger stood was enough to knock his chair back a few feet. His left hand raised toward the roof.

As his left hand pointed the water from his and Tsuki's soda would form into a ball, flying quickly toward the 200 lbs chandler a few feet over Canaan. The goal, to send the chandler down on to Canaan's head as he walked toward Gary, but with enough room for Gary to roll away, or avoid the chandler all together. That's right bitches, Mr.Green could control water.

A sigh escaped from Mr.Green's helmet as all he was left with was sugar in his cup, he was enjoying that cream soda. Oh well, the price you pay right?

(5 seconds)

He would then step over to the wall, leaning back, crossing his arms over his chest as he would wait and watch til it was his turn to fight, after all it was out of his hands now.

(9 seconds)

-editorial note-

The reason the water would cut the chain is because it would be pressurized much like a water drill.

35Kenji III

Frankly, he never felt better.

Not really.

But he was beginning to realize he was a lot better off than he would have been if he had let the explosive period man continue to bleed on him instead of knocking him to the side and rolling the ****** out of there. A little bit of anger was rising up in his chest. Yet another time some kind of racial effect or super power that just allowed the user to do nothing but take a hit to cause a whole lot of ****** damage was the reason he was on the brink of seeing darkness. Regardless if his team advanced through to the second round or not, he was going to kill the suicide the bomber. If it hadn't been for his little stunt right now Red would still be attacking Blue like there was no tomorrow and wouldn't be bleeding out like a sandbag all over the pretty wooden floor. But sadly, there was hardly anything he could to do to go about fixing these wounds during this time. He was just going to keep playing the cards he still had in his hand.

Just as Gary was going to say something back to his approaching opponent a chandelier dropped from the ceiling somehow right over top of Blue. Back pedaling to avoid being too close he would narrowly escape being slammed by the elaborate decor.

wtf

36Dragosani Kain

The man really was a tough cookie, Kain had to give him that. No doubt he be feeling the heat. But, the Devil couldn't be bothered further while he had his drink back in hand, no point in holding back now, took it all back. The alcohol burned down his throat to his pierced stomach, volatile blood and booze having a nice mixer.

Stinging so profound, he clenched his fist tightly enough to draw a line of blood in palm. The sight wasn't nearly as pitiful as some may initially think, those, of course, folks who didn't know the Devil. Hauling himself to the table he leaped from, he scoured its surface but didn't find ...

Where the hell did I put them..---OH, yes.

He staggered to the duster set aside at the bar, that's where his stogies were and this situation garnered the smoking of one. Immediately finding the sizeable things and puffing on it, devoid of its delicious sanctity for, what seemed like hours, was a treat. He elated in the powerful smoke filling his lungs, stomach still bleeding quite fiercely, could be just dizzyness from some bloodloss or the flashing and bright lights could be a glimpse of something more.

Yes! It was a vision, and, he heard voices calling out to him by name, so happy to say his name and see him so closely. Flash, Flash! So much brilliance it almost overwhelmed him. Beautiful.

"KAAAAAIN! Can you tell us your feelings on the STRIKER----"

Whu...goddamnit. And it was such a nice dream.

Reporters pressed themselves against the windows of the Firebrand, eager for the first hand story. Kain gave them a little wave, forcing a gladness to see them sort of smile- yeah, yeah, ye roaches- Clearly talking to people weren't in his forethoughts. Blood was decorated his lips and chin from the blood spew, his leg belly were getting a slight tight feeling as edges of blood stream dried up.

"...awww, now its getting into my boots..."

He grabbed a chair before stumbling back to his table, setting in down with no grace whatsoever, matching it with the heavy slump into it. Keeping pressure on the wound he focused his energies to slow the flow so that he could still watch the fight and not be whisked away by the unsure medics huddled at the door.

Not when there's a fight still on, boys.

37The Black Sand Mule

Rhoslyn snarled, lips sliding back over impossibly white teeth. Part of him - a large part of him - was tempted to bring out one of his little surprises, striker in, and beat that stubborn ******** until he started involuntarily shitting his pants. The cameraman did a quick, smooth pan and caught his expression, then spun back and resumed recording the battle.

But no, he'd control his temper. For now, at least. As the Green Ranger did some funky s**t with water that somehow collapsed a chandelier, Rhoslyn frowned. Okay... so. Acid water? Physics rape? Whatever. It meant good news, 'cause if Green had that sort of power, Rhoslyn was oh-so-eager and ready to take him on. Oh yes. Shame he'd refrained from his own water elementalism, or he'd teach this puppy a trick or ten. In the meantime, though, he noted to find the owner of the establishment sometime, and to never buy building supplies from the people he got it from. Because seriously.

"OY! Green! Shot yer wad already?"

In the meantime, Aña made her way over to where Kain was sitting and took up a seat next to him, her tri-colored eyes and gold hair sparkling with excitement.

"Ohmygods that was the coolest thing ever!", the girl squealed, bouncing a little. Yeah, his fire stunt had earned him an ardent fan-girl. She moved her foot to gently brush against Kain's leg up and down a few times. Rhoslyn, seeing them out of the corner of his eye, raised his eyebrow a half-inch, shook his head with a slight laugh, and looked back to Green.

Cue "bring it on" gesture - palm up, middle finger curling up towards him and back down.

38SaiDain

"Your opponent will be me. Not Mr.Green over there."

Will would have directed his words at Rhoslyn. It seemed the man was eager to fight his viridian comrade; well it seemed that Rhoslyn would be in for a disappointment. Mr.Green wouldn't fight just yet.

"Let's have a rowdy good time when we throw down."

39The Black Sand Mule

"So, you're implying either of two things. One, you think you're a better fighter than he is. Or, two, you think he's best kept in reserve for another Striker." Rhoslyn laughed, hard. He even turned up his SHINY a little more, brown hair shifting into red as his skin smoothed itself out of the few flaws his human glamour had put in place.

"Or maybe it's the third, you think you can take me!" Rhoslyn straight-up guffawed, looking over the man yet again for any active supernatural powers. "So tell me, bud, which is it? Arrogant or just plain dumb?"

40SaiDain

Will would watch Rhoslyn through the visor of his helmet and would notice the man's slight transformation. It seemed that the man had changed his hair from brown to red. Will didn't know what it meant exactly but in a place like Heaven or Hell; it would have been safe to say that it was probably something beneficial to the man. Will would bring his chair to a stable position making a slight thud sound.

"Keep guessing, Pepper-Ann."

The blue ranger go back to rocking on his chair as he awaited his turn to fight. He would open the mouthpiece of his helmet to take a ship from a glass of water. It was cold not warm like it usually was at a lot of taverns he had been too. it was just the way he liked it.

41Dragosani Kain

Hmm. Maybe we're underestimating them...

"...Pepper-Ann"

"PAAAHHAHAA."

The Devil couldn't even begin to lie to himself anymore, normally he would present the caution when fighting against others he no idea of what they could dole out but this just wasn't the case. The suits were bad but the trash talk was just terrible, 'least he knew they could take punishment, now they had to start dishing it out.

He took a drag from the cigar while Aña prodded at the hole in his gut with painful curiosity. "That's still tender." She didn't stop, giggling all the while.

The clatter of the chair being knocked away caught Canaan's attention, and he turned to look in the direction it'd come from. Standing up and looking positively PUMPED was the Green Ranger. The dragon-knight cocked an eyebrow.

GreenRanger44 Wrote:

chandler a few feet over Canaan.

Following the Green Rangers aim up, Canaan saw that there was now a large Matthew Perry Chandelier hanging over head. How'd that get there? He hadn't noticed it when he first walked in.

Yeah, Canaan prepared because he knew exactly what was going to be coming next. It wasn't gonna be a rain of FRIENDS episodes, either.

GreenRanger44 Wrote:

He shot the ball of cream soda up at the chain which was supporting the 200 pound object - somehow cutting it in half. With a ball of cream soda. Because obviously, ******** you.

As the massive object came plummeting down towards the ground, Canaan made an exit stage back, lunging backwards as it came crashing down onto the floor with a massive OOMPF. If it just so happened his leg had a hole under it, he'd follow the previous idea of lifting his leg up and pushing off the edge of the hole.

The expensive lighting now lay ruined on the floor in front of Canaan, who immediately scrambled to his feet. He just shook his head and continued forwards. When Canaan thought about it, he wanted to pick up the wreckage and beat both of those power rangers over the head with it. Instead, he continued to focus his magical energies and quickly advanced on the Red Ranger.

Wherever it was he may have scurried off to during the attack.

[6]

43The Black Sand Mule

Rhoslyn laughed.

"Glad to! Let's see, I covered arrogant and dumb... maybe you got dropped on your head as a kid? Someone's payin' you to throw the match so they can collect on a bet? You wanna ****** me? You want me to **** you?" He assumed a pose akin to The Thinker, only with cool shades on and a big, sarcastic grin on his face. "Your voice gives you super strength? Your nuts are squished in that little suit of yours and you wanna get out of it as quick as you can, and the fastest way to do it is for me to beat the st outta you?"

Hehe. Rhoslyn lowered his shades a bit and looked at the visor'd blue ranger.

"'course, they'd had to have dropped already. So ******** that guess. Maybe you think that if you fight well enough my daughters'll fawn all over you? Or you've got a woman - or man - at home who said they'd leave if you didn't win?"

Oh, he could go on in this vein for a while. And s**t-talk he would.

"Or maybe you think of yourself as a self-made man and worship your creator. Either way, dude, go back to grade school and learn how to talk s**t; you couldn't ad-lib a fart after a baked bean dinner."

44Kenji III

Okay, okay

Big shock;

Their striker sucked balls.

A physics defying water gun seemingly knocked down a chandelier onto the ground. He guessed it was aimed at Blue, but from where the two fighters were standing the bloodied up ranger was much closer to the giant, hanging lamp than the other guy who still had his wits about him unlike he did with his chest needing plastic surgery, heart palpitations and shortness of breath. When the dust settled from the oh so wonderfully executed jz attack he found out in this short span of seconds that that this was hardly the worst thing to happen during the match. At first he didn't believe it. He couldn't believe it. He had been hit by two chairs, been blown to bits and watched as one of their strikers went down the tank, but none of that beat what his ears had just picked up on. A few years ago Red had killed this man by shoving a shovel up his a for betraying him.

He was about to do the same thing for saying...

SaiDain Wrote:

That was worse than being half dead in a Power Ranger suit.

That was worse than Mr. Green throwing soda.

"Okay Will, I'm not going to stop you while you're ahead, but we air on the same ******** station as Pepper Ann, genius." The short bus driver said motioning a hand for him to get out there. "But since I can move about as good as Michael J. Fox right now, and with you talking such good game I think it's fair to say you're up."

He said turning around to leave the bar.

"I'm going to go outside for a band aid and some more soda pop. I'm gonna shake it up and make Ross all sticky."

Red left the building.

45-HoH- Judge

The judge watched the scene from behind the mask of its helmet, arms cross over the armored chest. Whatever alien, inhuman intelligence lay behind the armor noted that Gary had left the fighting area, and the judge's armored hand clacked loudly against the bar in a slow, rhythmic tempo while it spoke.

Super Sentai fighter "Gary" has left the fighting area.

Ten.

Nine.

Eight..

The judge would continue its monotone countdown until either the man returned, or if he forfeited by way of staying out of the fighting area (the building) for too long.

46C-Z-N

Canaan stopped in his tracks and let out a huge sigh of relief.

He had honestly no idea what he could do the Red Ranger without killing him at this point, because technically the guy was over half dead anyway. Energy punching him in the face in order to quickly knock him out had been the plan, but now that he was walking out, or something that resembled walking, the match was over.

VICTORY, maybe!

Though, it was sorta lame.

But at least nobody died.

Since there was no more action, Canaan hopped back up onto a table and began rubbing his sore stomach. A judge began a countdown, so medical aid wouldn't arrive until the match was officially over. He highly doubted that Red would be returning to the ring, though.

[7]

47Kenji III

Canaan Noble Wrote:

Though, it was sorta lame.

Very.

Blue's "maybe victory" had nothing to do with himself at all.

Just a cheap trick from his buddy.

Gary heard the judge announcing the countdown as he left the bar to find some kind of medical attention. No big deal. He decided to stay out there. Even if he could have kept on fighting through the blood loss he still had to watch two of his teammates duke it out with two of the other guys, which by now he had lost all confidence. Only thing he wanted to do was stop bleeding and get in a smoke or twenty.

Oh, and watch some Pepper Ann.

48-HoH- Judge

Seven..

Six..

Five..

Four..

Three..

Two..

One.

The judge raised its arm towards Canaan, sweeping its cape behind it.

Super Sentai fighter "Gary" has remained out of the ring for more than ten seconds, and has therefore been DISQUALIFIED. Victory to Shattered Steel fighter "Canaan."

With the decision made, the Judge sat back down at the bar, where a small drink with an umbrella sat waiting for it.

49C-Z-N

Cameras zoomed in on Canaan's face, a smile drawing across his lips. Publicity was exactly what he was looking for here, and with his first victory of the match he was getting a lot of exposure. His plan to get the attention of a certain couple of people had a high chance of success at this point.

After staying on camera for several seconds, Canaan turned away and walked over to the end of the bar, sitting down on a stool and wheeling around to face his teammates.

Sports Announcer Wrote:

"And there you have it folks! Team Shattered Steel has taken their first match, showing that excellent teamwork can make all the difference in Heaven or Hell!"

"Alright Ross, looks like you're up. I'm gonna relax and let the medics stick up my stomach."

And that's exactly what happened. Medic's arrived and applied bandages, alcohol and stitches to Canaan's wounded stomach, as well as Kain's injuries. No doubt they would be paying Gary special attention.

50The Black Sand Mule

It was on. It was so ******** on. Rhoslyn grinned. No. Rhoslyn smirked. Reaching into his briefcase of pain yet again, Rhoslyn wrapped his hands around the smooth shaft of his weapon. Oh yes. Stepping back and out, Rhoslyn was shown to be carrying a 36" fire axe in his hands, his left near the bottom and his right up top, moving up and down the shaft lovingly - almost suggestively.

![](http://www.firefighteraxe.com/pickhead_axe.php)

SHIIIING!

Nothing like a good Audible Sharpness. A point of light slid up and down the end of the blade, thanks entirely to the glamour Rhoslyn was projecting. He DID have more weapons on hand (and not in the case, either), but for now, he settled for grabbing his case with his right hand, setting it down on the floor, left open and clearly holding a LOT more than a case its size should have.

Hand back on the axe, and he held it up over his head, bellowing defiance as his teeth elongated and pointed themselves, emerald-cerulean-silver tricolored eyes flashing with a burning desire to collect some ******** limbs.

"BRING IT OOOOOOOONNNN!"

Cue SHINY and a steady push of his glamour to inspire terror in the man. It wouldn't be an instant by any means, but the ancient fey knew exactly what he was doing with his illusions, and his opponent would need to deal with a sliver of fear that'd keep growing at a slow but steady rate as Rhoslyn kept the magic flowing.

Quote: |sidhe glamour|: Rhoslyn, as a fey, is capable of creating illusions to change and heighten his appearance or that of others. This ability has more to do with attractiveness and emotional states than other illusion effects - while he is capable of minor illusions to change his appearance, he cannot make things invisible, create believable false weapons/magic, etc (though he can make it look prettier). While he can sometimes seem to disappear with this power, that has more to do with blending into a crowd and making himself look forgettable, terrifying, etc. This ability can be performed at will and requires no focus. This normally manifests as SHINY.

[EDITED: to make the pic a hyperlink to the stats of the axe. Dunno HOW I forgot that during the actual post.]

51Dragosani Kain

The medics went to work, having to fend off the admiring fan girl who wanted to do the stitching up herself....which ended up with Kain having a heart and arrow through it stitched into him. Not particularly effective but it sufficed.

"Have you had any alcohol today, Mr. Kain--..."

He just looked at the medic with a knowing innocent smile. The medic just looked disappointed and sighed a heavy sigh, handing Kain a bottle o some POSHEEN. Obviously to heal his innards.

"--...just don't take too much of it."

They finished their work and Kain saw that Ross was already getting ready-WITH A ******** AXE! He would almost squeal with glee but was too busy chugging his posheen.

+1 to Drunkeness.

52SaiDain

"Thinking about your boyfriend back home, Pepper Ann..?" Will watched Rhoslyn jack off the shaft of his axe like that prostitute from last night. The power ranger scoffed and walked over, placing his hand on a nearby chair.

Rhoslyn Wrote:

"BRING IT OOO-!"

Will would interrupt Pepper Ann half way by throwing the chair at him hard. The Blue Ranger wasn't having any of that.

1/17

53The Black Sand Mule

Right. This was gonna be ******** lame. Rhoslyn kept yelling OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNN as he sidestepped the chair by taking two quick steps to his left. This would mean the chair flew past him on the right and bounced off a table, possibly breaking.

He chuckled.

"I said, BRING IT ON. Not, stand there like a little b***h and throw chairs. C'mon, try it again."

He raises his eyebrows, still holding his axe over his head.

Flash!

Like lightning tons of cameras snapped his photo as two medics helped walk him over to the ambulance. Just a few minutes ago not even all the cameramen had arrived to their posts. Everyone was more interested in watching the much hyped bout starring Team Glacier than they were about watching two of Japan's namesakes going at it. Now everyone was tuned in. Reporters swarmed over to him like locusts. The medical team barely did anything to halt their ravaging advance as they sat Gary down and began working on him to stop the bleeding. It was a wonder if they knew what they were doing, but with the aid of magic they probably didn't have to go to med school to bandage up some holes. One of the medics, a young broad, put her hand over his chest. A blue pulse like wave emitted from her palm and with that a soothing sensation came over him. It was like he was smoking some grade A s**t.

"You think I could get my n**e back?" He asked. "Or does it kind of look cool in a way?" He asked looking down to where his left n used to be. Poor thing had no chance against the explosive period blood launch.

Just as she was about to say something -

"Mister Oliver! Mr. Oliver!" The first vulture had arrived. She was a cute little thing in a mini skirt with big tits. She was defiantly something nice to look at after being blown up. Giving her a strong look up and down and more down his gaze then slowly went back up to her face. Then it hit him. Out of all the reporters that would be covering this event why the ******** was she the one to always get him? Her voice trailed off, her big smile sorta went upside down and her march stopped. "You're -"

"Hurt. Badly." He said cutting her off. She had been the reporter who had covered his major news stories in the past. When he burned down Lu Bu Dojo, got arrested for rape, mustard gassed the vampire mansion and most importantly two years ago when his eyes and ears were ripped off by Sieg in this very tournament. "But I'll live. I just would like to say that Mr. Cluck\'s Chicken Shack is by far the best place to eat. Juicy white meat chicken, coleslaw and mashed potatoes for only $4.42. It's where I eat and look, I survived an explosion." He said giving the camera a hundred dollar grin and a thumbs up.

55SaiDain

"Okay." Will responded to Rhoslyn, shrugged his shoulders and kicked off one of the legs from the table next to him. The blue ranger picked up the great big splinter, reminiscent of his giant c**k minus all the wood, and charged at Tinker Bell.

2/17

56Dragosani Kain

The chair came sailing straight at Kain and his 'ardent fangirl', looping his arm around her waist he kicked the two backwards, falling down on the hind legs of his own chair to the floor. The projectile shattered into pieces across the table, bits raining down on the evading two, now laying on the floor.

The Devil grunted as his stitches tore, Aña screaming as they fell. They laid for a moment before,

"OHMYGOD! Are you okay? Oh my god, poor Kain, here, let me help you." She eagerly and clumsily lifted his shirt and, for some reason, rubbing the stitched spot vigorously. "Argh." apparently, it was supposed to soothe the pain.

Grrrrrrr...why?

He turned, moving the girl and moved to stand, she, assisting. Well, there was that bit of help that wasn't so bad. And, he still had his cigar. Smoke smoke, lung cancer, smoke.

57The Black Sand Mule

Yes, that's exactly what Rhoslyn wanted him to do. Charge in like a madman with a piece of wood against a guy with a freaking three foot long axe. Yeah, this'd totally work. So. Rhoslyn swung down hard, his right hand dropping down the shaft to provide some POWAH to the swing. He aimed not for where Will was, but where he was going, and his intent was simple: to quite literally disarm the Power Ranger well before he could get in melee range with that broken-off piece of s**t.

To be more specific? The arm that held the p***s analogue. And yes, it wouldn't be quite straight down, there was a bit of a tilt involved in this strike, because he was aiming a little more inwards to be sure he'd hack that poor, stupid SOB's arm clear the fuggoff. Granted, it probably wouldn't happen in one single stroke, but if it hit, there would be no using that arm due to 4.75" of heat-treated steel or so getting wedged up in him.

[3]

58SaiDain

That's fine. But there was one problem to timing attacks, tinker bell would have to perform his before Will got into striking range in the hopes that once he was (in striking range) he'd get hit, but how would Perry Ann know where the Blue Ranger would be seconds ahead of time.

So when Rhoslyn brought down that heavy axe, hoping to hit Will's right arm when he came on by, the blue ranger simultaneously juked to his left (Pepper Ann's right) and placed himself at close range but to the outside of tinker bell's heavy attack. The Blue Ranger was still running with all the speed of a teenage shoplifter, or a prostitute in heels, right arm now outstretched and to his side attempting a clothesline-esque move which passed over Rhoslyn's axe hack. Except the sharp part (where the leg was broken violently) was aligned with Pepper Ann's lower face. Upper Maxilla.

59The Black Sand Mule

With the snark kept to a minimum, Rhoslyn knew a few simple facts about the tournament, how people moved, fighting with an axe, and had a fully functional brain and pair of eyes. In much the same manner that you can look at a car and go "Gee, it's going X miles an hour" or see a fist coming and go "********!", or a strong safety could get an angle on an incoming running back and get a good solid wrap tackle, that's how he would "know" where the Power Ranger was going to be. It's.... really not all that hard of a concept to figure out, and Rhoslyn wasn't suffering from a bout of incompetence.

Either way... perfect!

C'mon. When someone swings a big ******** axe at you, you're going to dodge to the side, right? That's what he was counting on. Right made it all the easier. Dropping his right leg back and bending his knees as the guy did his move, the fey twisted to his right at the waist, bringing the head swinging hard in a 90 degree arc. Naturally, it was swinging downward still, but with enough of a sideways angle to where it'd catch the guy at or above the hip, depending on just how far the Ranger had jumped. Yes, he's using his wonderous powers of depth perception, experience, and other such things of general vision to do this. Yes, if it hit it would hurt a LOT more than the arm one would have.

So, instead of coming to the front of his face... it'd be to the side? With him being lower, it was fair to assume he'd ducked the attack. But, it's probably more reasonable to say that the wood clipped the top of his head and left a not-very-deep-but-very-bloody 3" furrow through his hair. Assuming physics approves, that was.

60The Black Sand Mule

Cameras flashed.

Cal eyed the tequila, and stealthily (read: very obviously, as she was in a bikini and SHINY) edged her way closer to the bar, her eyes riveted upon a bottle of tequila. She'd totally make her way over to there like a day-glo ninja, swoop up that bottle, and start drinking it in happy abandon.

Aña would, at some point, try to lick Kain's stitches in hopes for a taste of blood. It'd probably take him a while to get her off of him, both in the literal sense and in the fangirl sense.

61Dragosani Kain

"Hey-hey-HEY. Stop that." He scolded the girl when her tongue started towards his mushed up wound, holding out his arms to keep her at bay. "A-right?...aright."

Crazy wome---

Aña was at it again. "Would you get outta here-For ffff..."

Sip.

"Aaaahh~"

There was nothing quite like a refreshing drink after a fight. Not that Canaan had been worn out by it given it only lasted about four or five minutes. Red Ranger had staggered off into the media and the medics were taking care of him now, so nothing to worry about.

Well, almost nothing.

Ross seemed a little too eager to implement his axe and hack the Blue Ranger down to size. He hoped that the fey could control his bloodlust and not get them disqualified by going axe crazy. Meanwhile to his left, Kain seemed to be getting his ***** on with Ross' 14 year old daughter. Despite the fact that she was pouncing him and he was trying to get away.

Snicker.

63SaiDain

Will didn't jump. He juked. Big diff.

The blue ranger would keep running which meant that even if Pepper Ann shifted (which required extra moves that Will would pick up on and increase speed) he wouldn't hit the speeding ranger as cleanly as he'd like. The lower part of the fire axe would hit across the back of his hip, creating a nasty abrasion where the hip would be but not striking against bone. The biggest loss here was the ripping of his blue latex suit.

Will would run on by, drawing blood with his own weapon, gaining six feet of distance on his opponent before turning around. "Good good Pepper Ann."

He'd walk at a slow pace for Tinker Bell. This was kinda fun.

"Don't try fighting bi curious firemen at home kids!"

[4/17]

64The Black Sand Mule

Rhoslyn's narrator wasn't an idiot. And further, having just made a football reference, he understood what a juke was. But whatever, it just meant that Rhoslyn would get angrier and start thinking on how to fight dirtier and harder. After the swing kinda missed, Rhoslyn let go of the axe and let it fly off. If this guy was close enough for the LOWER part of the fire axe to hit him, Rhoslyn wasn't gonna let him get away. ****** that st, sir.

This is not a hard concept to pick up on, but this narrator will describe it so it can't be claimed that it took three seconds or whatever. Since he was already with his right foot dropped back and twisting at the waist, it was child's play to shift his feet and push off his right in an explosive sprint, aimed to tackle the s**t out of the idiot who'd DARED to turn his back on Ross. And no, not an arm tackle. A full-out wrap tackle, illustrated more or less clearly with this handy .gif.

Again, just to make this clear, Rhoslyn is built like a strong safety, and he DID know how to tackle. Yes, he used his EYES.

Oh, right.

Quote: |brownie telekinesis|: Due to his mixed fey heritage, Rhoslyn has manifested minor telekinesis akin to that of a brownie. He is typically capable of manipulating up to ten pounds, and has no limit on how many objects the weight is taken up by. This ability can be performed at will and requires no focus. While he can, say, use TK force to pull out someone's hair or mildly slap them or whatever, there is pretty much no way he'd be able to tear someone's skin off or remove an eye or whatever unless it was already hanging loose.

Mostly to be sure the guy wouldn't get away, Rhoslyn would basically telekinetically b*h-slap him upside the **** head as he ran away. It'd feel sorta like, well, a slap upside the ****** head. He was starting this as he shifted and moved into the sprint-to-tackle, so it'd hit - assuming it did - before the guy could get more than two or three feet past.

[5]

65Dragosani Kain

"Urrg...make way, guys."

Kain excused himself to throw up the blood that had seeped again into his stomach.

"Ok, we're good."

He drank more of the concoction the helpful medic dude had given him, apparently it was like spray-on bandages, except for internal ruptures and such. Good for the hard-to-reach places....but...didn't seem to be in full working order yet.

66SaiDain

Will's narrator didn't call Rhoslyn's narrator an idiot, nor implied it.

Rhoslyn's narrator should stop being so defensive.

In other news, it was quite fine that Rhoslyn decided to play a game of football with Will. But Will was already running and that would only increase as he heard Rhoslyn shuffle around to run after him, and tinker bell would have to accelerate god damned fast to catch up with the already Power Rangers Turbo-esque blue ranger. The fairy could be built however he'd like to be, and could be as fast or tackle as good as he'd like. But the lean ****** that was Will was built like a ****** sprinter and was agile.

When Rhoslyn finally went for this awesome tackle Will with his head start would simply juke right (Pepper Ann's left) and let the fairy have a taste of the ground, but that wouldn't be enough and Will was abruptly tackled to the ground. The blue ranger would bring up his arms, making sure not to pint the sharp end of the table leg to his face, and would protect his face against the fall.

Will would live through the tackle, obviously, and would slowly begin to turn his body slightly to look at his opponent.

-edited-

And the slap... well... the slap was mild. The blue ranger could live with that.

67-HoH- Judge

The Judge's narrator(s) could break the fourth wall too, and they decided that both fighters should stop breaking said 4th wall, unless they liked watching their scores steadily go down for mucking up their posts.

Speaking of the fourth well, the Judge's narrator(s) beckoned both fighters towards the Debug thread.

68The Black Sand Mule

The fourth wall was off-limits. Duly noted. So, Rhoslyn had this guy more or less, according to the .gif image, with his face more or less at the guy's calf, hands wrapped around the knee area.

So, he'd promptly open his mouth and sink those sharpened teeth right into the guy's right calf right after impact, intending to take a HUGE bite out of the guy's leg, outfit or not. Yeah, it was cheap, bit it worked. In the meantime, though, he had his weight on the Green Blue Ranger's legs, hands on the man's left knee.

Quote: |gravefingers|: This spell causes Rhoslyn's hands or currently grasped melee weapon to appear to rot and age, whispering with arcane energy (and typically producing the smell of putrefying flesh). In addition to the damage normally dealt by his attack, the target is also dealt magical and death damage - this will typically show as rapidly aging skin, rashes, rust, and weathering. This is sorta like D&D Negative Energy, in that it causes things to die and wither. It would actually heal an undead creature.

The plastic (? Spandex?) would begin to stiffen and decompose, while the man's general-area-around-his-kneecap would start to have its skin rot and decompose as the area went more or less numb. It wouldn't affect the bone yet, but if he couldn't get the hell out of Rhoslyn's grip by Rhoslyn's next post, the odds were that he wouldn't be able to walk again without a LOT of reconstructive surgery.

Oh yeah, and he'd OM NOM NOM as quick as he could in as many places as he could. It's fair to assume one big bite every two seconds or so, and he'd be enjoying the taste of Power Ranger blood.

[6]

69GreenRanger44

Mr.Green watched the world through a darkened visor, and thoughts raced through his head.

He had to wonder, what would be the repercussions of these almost death moves the other team was pulling. first Another man damn near blew Gary's head out of his own a** with blood. And now Someone was rotting away skin tissue?

He gave a small helpless sigh, just wondering what would be in store for him. He gave a hapless shrug. He watched his first team mate get they're assed kicked, and now some gay faerie boy was getting all sorts of handsy with Will, things indeed looked grim from were Mr.Green was standing.

70SaiDain

The Blue Ranger was in deep st.....like a nerdy teenager who uses an inhaler and ODs when he introduced Ecstasy to his body. Pepper Ann was getting his necromancer on and was munching on his leg like if it were a very large p*s.

Man tinker bell was missing his boyfriend.

"******!" He spat at Rhoslyn and gripped the semi-sharp table leg even harder. Will would have to time this perfectly, if not his leg was ****** gone.

Will would wait until Rhoslyn took one REALLY big bite and then he attacked. It couldn't be stressed enough. RHOSLYN WAS EATING LEG MUSCLE AND WAS NOT LOOKING. The blue ranger stabbed for Perry Ann's skull, a bunch of ******** times, and at an angle to so if Rhoslyn somehow back flips out of the way while "OM NOMing" Will wouldn't stab his own leg. The weapon wasn't necessarily really sharp, so it wouldn't reach the brain, but it was still able to cause major skull damage and head trauma.

The judges would understand. This f*****t was trying to eat him out. Literally.

[6/17]

71GreenRanger44

-Striker-

Mr. Green, the striker king, was at it again.

he pressed his striker button his wrst and took out his dagger. Thoughtss raced thru his head thinking up what to do but there was no time for that. he just reacted by rushing at the gay man (Rhoslyn)'s backside taking only two seconds to get there.

(3 seconds in)

Just as will would be attacking the cannibal Mr green would just stab down at the Ross's left kidney.

72C-Z-N

Canaan glanced up at the scene that was unfolding in front of him.

Wait a second, s**t seemed kinda bonkers.

"...huh..."

He quickly slid the medications he had been taking for his pain waaaaaay over to the other side of the counter.

//"Ross sorta looks like pac-man..."//

Tygris made the comparison based on characters from games Canaan played at night.

73The Black Sand Mule

It was a great plan. A splendid plan that they came up with, and after the fight, Rhoslyn would come up and congratulate them. However, there were a few flaws with it, and someone like Ross, who was in charge of strategy for his team, would exploit every last edge he got.

The first, assuming that Rhoslyn WAS NOT LOOKING. Try looking down and then looking forward. Sorta like how Rhoslyn could make eye contact while licking p***y, he was capable of, once again, having normal vision, which included peripheral vision. So, as the piece of wood sped towards him, Rhoslyn could kinda see a shadow that looked suspiciously like an arm carrying a sharp bit of wood flying towards his head. Naturally, he couldn't stop it. Yet.

So, as the wood gave his ear a new piercing and splintered into and against his skull, Rhoslyn swallowed the chunk of flesh and fastened his lips over the bite mark, licking and sucking at the delicious, delicious blood as his own hot, kinda sparkly blood ran down the side of his face. He'd turn his head ever-so-slightly as the man moved his arm back for another swing, and as the shadow grew near again, Rhoslyn suddenly TK-pushed down on the kinda-pointy end with the whole more-or-less ten pounds of force. This was likely to redirect said strike from the side of Rhoslyn's head down into the man's thigh, because he probably hadn't planned on a counter. Probably. Even if it did hit Ross it'd be at an angle and merely leave a jagged cut down his cheek.

He'd keep up the TK and DEATHHANDS, so this guy was gonna have a wicked ******** case of osteoporosis and have pretty much no feeling from the knee down on his left leg due to, y'know, the nerves dying.

And then, STRIKER.

Flaw two, assuming it'd be a surprise. Rhoslyn knew from the very beginning that there would be a Striker on him, and there was no time like when he was leaving his back exposed and not facing his opponent. And when the sharp, biting metal bit into the general area of his kidney, Rhoslyn let out a moan. Not one of pain, but one of sheer pleasure, like he was jizzing in his pants. The camera would get a nice close-up, and yes, that was exactly the face he was making as he arched his back up and pulled hard and up with his left in an attempt to break the guy's knee backwards.

He let off the DEATHHAND. He couldn't keep it up and do what needed to be done. Since the guy was clearly trying to hurt Rhoslyn, the blade would go in all the way to the hilt, and from there, he'd know roughly where the guy's body was relative to him. After all, angle of stabbing and s**t, and once again, shadows. And here's where it'd all come together.

Quote: |sidhe blood|: ...For serious or vital injuries, the only display of this power manifest in keeping Rhoslyn conscious and out of shock. In addition, he can become empowered from drinking the blood of others. Sorta like instant-gratification magical coffee, if you will.

Quote: |sidhe hand of blood|: ...a limited degree of control over blood, increases the power potency of his own blood, and allows him to gain more power from blood than the average faerie.

So, he'd been drinking blood. And drinking blood amped up his magic.

If he had time to grin, he would have. Instead, Rhoslyn curled his left leg up and pointed his feet towards the general direction of the guy looming over him to shank him.

Last, but not least...

Quote: |sidhe hand of bone|: Rhoslyn's left Hand of Power allows him to control... his own skeletal structure. This can be used to... grow "claws"

Bones shot forth from Rhoslyn's feet, piercing through the shoe and going straight for the man as fast as Rhoslyn could, burning approximately half of the power he'd gotten from drinking the blood to supplement his own. He wouldn't stop until he felt bone sinking deep into flesh, and there was more going on. He could keep his focus on the bone attack even with (possible) hits to the head, and since TK manip didn't take any at all...

Well, people were in for a world of hurt. Striker THAT.

[7]

74SaiDain

This still sucked.

But not so much because the damage got downplayed.

His left leg couldn't move, but the right can't have been better 'cause Rhoslyn took little bites and the Posterior tibial artery didn't exist. The blue ranger would have tried to stab Pepper Ann again but the unseen force that slapped him deflected the table leg and brought the kinda sharpen point to the side of his left thigh, slicing it slightly instead of stabbing straight through and causing more irreversible damage.

****** it. That leg was **** anyhow, Will thought and gritted his teeth and he rolled onto his back as his teammate came to the rescue. The power ranger would ck back his leg then send a pretty decent kick for his opponent's face just as Green began to back off.

((If the bone attack was for me then I'll edit that in.))

75GreenRanger44

-Striker-

(4 seconds in)

Mr Green would push with his foots up as he laid on the man's back with the dagger in hannd. He pushed up dragging the blade through across Ross's back before any boners could sink into him.

EDIT:

(6 seconds in)

Mr Green would then back off the man taking his dagger with him and would as he backed up get nicked in the foot by some kind of sharp object. But for now he was out of the amtch.

77The Crossed Fox

"Wow..."

That was all Yasuo could say as he leaned back into the out o' the ring chair he had been by for the duration of the match thus far. He still carried that thinkers pose about him, so his ever examining eyes did not cease there activites. What had just practically unravelled in front of him was a sight that not many could take without keeping the stoicism of a saint of some sorts, or possibly even a vegetable. Kain had been bloodied up pretty badly, as did Canaan. Both of them were able to take out that Red Ranger team captain with a wondrous collaboration - that looked more like some sort of dogpile in a more realistic way of telling it.

They had been able to practically blow the guy up, non-lethally to boot. Precision was there, as was the encountered endurance on the Red guys part. It made the dude forfeit in search of medical attention for the little baby jesus' sake. That was an impressive feat when looked at from an outside source. Yasuo had been given hard proof that this team was exactly what he thought it would be, perfect. It still wasn't anything until Rhoslyn got into his fray however.

The guy went from axeing the Blue Ranger, to becoming a bloodsucking ankle-biter.

"Gwah..." Yasuo would tell himself as the carnage unravelled in front of him. He thought Kain's stab was pretty bad, until those sharp teeth came out of the Blood Mage's mouth. That gave him the freakin' willy's. "I don't want to know how he got those." The shinobi would tell himself, still examining the fight in its prime. When the Green Ranger hopped out from the sidelines for a striker, Yasuo could have sworn the plan would've fallen through. If it wasn't for a rule here and there, the shinobi would have actually activated his striker in defense of Rhoslyn. Good thing he had read up on the rules prior.

"So, what have I learned about our opponents today?" Yasuo pondered on in his head. "I found out that Ross has some sharp-a** teeth, I found out these guys are still in brightly colored suits, I found out that they don't study their opponents too well, I found out that they are all close combat oriented, and to top it off," He paused for a second, leaning forward in the chair. "I learned that the Green Ranger will be my target, if I get into this." This was definitely true. Kain was pretty much unable to fight in this round, seeing as how he took a pretty direct stab to the body and was being treated for his wounds. Canaan, though not really harmed in his match, was likely going to stay out of another fray. There was no way Ross was going to end up feeling too well after this match, so it came down to the Shinobi of the Stone Village in the end.

He really hoped he had everything he needed here, and as such decided to put down his water gourd, just in case he wasn't actually called in. There was no sense sitting down any longer with an extra 40 pounds on your back anyway.

Three times he replayed this scene, and each time he only became more confused. His eyes were watching it, the ship’s sensors were picking it up, yet his brain WAS NOT COMPREHENDING IT!

“What do you make of this, sir?” The ensign asked, clearly as confused as his commander. Silence was his retort. An armored finger tapped the side of The Commander's helm as he continued pondering the situation. His eyes had seen many things, yet few bothered him to such a degree.

Wait.

His brown eyes widened.

“PAUSE IT THERE!”

During the fourth replay, the display froze just milliseconds before the cream soda death laser struck the chain.

Then the picture zoomed x2.

Dominating the view screen was an emblem resembling a flaming Leviathan with two spears crossed behind it. The leftmost spear had a feather attached, the right did not.

“SEE! RIGHT THERE!” The commander leaped from his seat and pointed at the featherless spear.

“Yes sir! I SEE!” The ensign nodded with feigned enthusiasm. “Uh… what exactly am I looking at?”

“SEE THAT! It resembles the mark of Baron Kellen von Rage! However, look at the spears! They are mirrored! The feather is supposed to be on the right!”

“Meaning…?” The Ensign still wasn’t sure what to make of his Commander’s oddly placed passion.

“Meaning, the owner of that tavern…” The Commander returned to his seat and went silent, allowing suspense to build within the bridge for a few seconds.

“Paid entirely too much money for a facsimile.” His eyes then narrowed.

The entire bridge almost did one of those massive anime faints.

“You have quite the perceptive eye, sir.”

Assuming he ever got up, the front of his pants would be clean. As O-facey as he had gotten, Ross was not horny enough to be into knife play. Plus, being a bit bloodthirsty was a distraction. It just plain ******** HURT, but he was a damn good actor and knew that even IF the guy had actually managed to get his kidney, he had five or ten seconds before it ruptured, IF the guy knew what he was doing. He also knew he'd remain awake and not shocky. So with a bit of glamour and a lot of willpower, he'd gone for the SQUICK factor. It had worked... maybe? No way of telling. Either way, he was all sorts of past the point where he could even try to pretend he liked it now.

If the camera focused now they'd see his PAINFACE - teeth clenched, eyes slightly bulged, and breath steadily increasing in almost a hiss. C'mon, go go go. No luck, the guy collapsed on top of him and dragged the knife up his back. Almost not painful, if he'd gone a few degrees shallower and, y'know, was a chick. As the stabby fella rolled off of him and got a bit nicked on Rhoslyn's overly long toebones, he mind!smirked as his leg fell back down and his torn ear itched damnably as more blood was soaked up by his shirt.

Okay. Still a few seconds. Movemovemovedammitmove!

The feeling of the guy trying to flip jarred his concentration again, but he wasn't going anywhere with Rhoslyn's upper body still pressed against him and with the wrap still on. Grinding his teeth together and hissing again, the faerie arched his neck up and tried looking in the general direction of his team-mates, mouth opening in a silent scream before he shook and collapsed down on top of the blue ranger, eyes closed as blood gushed out and down his back. His mind wandered to Kitty for the briefest of seconds, then with another quiet scream, he MADE himself call on his Hand and focus it deep inside his own body.

For the time being, he was pretty damn vulnerable to attack, since more or less all of his attention was on "use my bloodmagic to fix whatever I can". He couldn't heal the damage by any means, but he could buy himself enough time to finish this fight... he hoped. Sure, it'd keep him from using any abilities other than glamour and TK (and from using either of those to their full effectiveness) for the rest of the round, but that was a price he was willing to pay.

81Tsuki III

Tsuki -the only one on her team NOT clad in a ridiculous cosplay outfit- watched the chaos taking place in the tavern from beside the table she used to sit, now standing on her own two feet as she observed the on-goings between the two teams. This had long since taken a turn for the worst, she thought, and she wasn't sure if her team would last very much longer. Gary was currently recieving the best medical attention he could, thank God, so he'd be fine though Page didn't appear to be doing so well either.

So continuing to silently watch the battle from a safe corner, every once and a while she would glance over at the other members of team Shattered Steel before focusing her attention again on the matter at hand. She tapped her foot impatiently as she awaited for Page's turn to pass, the worry for her fellow teammates' well-being rising meanwhile.

s**t had just gotten real.

Both the Blue and Green Rangers may have been rather dumb, but their weapons were no less pointy and Ross had no choice but to restrict himself in this tournament.

Time to go into action!

Canaan touched the button on his striker just as he'd been told to do when the time came. A time limit of 00:00 flashed on screen. Ten second was all that he had to get in and get the job done! Not thinking anything else about it, Canaan charged from his seat and leaped up about a foot and a half into the air, aiming to bring his solid steel greave down onto the Blue Rangers spine with all of his weight. If that helmet restricted vision like Canaan figured it might, the guy wouldn't even see him coming from the side. Not that there was anything he could do about it, given he had turned his attention to Ross' biting and his tight hold.

Upon impact, Blue was gonna feel a bone crushing force.

Canaan wouldn't stop though, as soon as he finished landing, he'd hop off and send another swift kick into the guys ribs with his other foot, (which would also stab into him given the talons on the toes) before making an immediate mad-dash back to the sidelines. All in all, the guy could flail about with his free hand all that he wanted, but it wasn't gonna prevent damage to the places that Canaan had attacked. Trying to grab Canaan's foot would just result in his hand sliding off the thick curved steel plating. Not to mention he was wearing spandex gloves.

Hitting the bar, Canaan checked his striker - the time had clicked off. His heart was racing, he knew that there was no way he could have done that within the time he wanted. BUT JUST MAYBE?!

More like, Will tried turning over onto his back, but it looks like Pepper Ann wanted to cuddle some.

Blue ranger wasn't have any of that.

He lifted the table leg again, now kinda covered in blood and the deliverer of all sorts of STDs, and after rotating his torso as much as he could Will stabbed for Pepper Ann's head.

Then again and again. Of course it wouldn't Rhoslyn. How? This guy survived kidney failure. Then he tried rotating some more and that's when Canaan came along.

Blue's mistake was thinking that Will wouldn't squirm under Rhoslyn like he had done before and thinking he would be flat on his stomach. So when Will turned his hips to better look at Pepper Ann, Canaan came down on his turned torso and struck rib instead. Then kicked the blue ranger.

The air was knocked out of Will and a rib a or two broke, but better taking "bone-crushing" force to the spinal column that could easily break cause the blue ranger WAS A HUMAN.

But Will could live with that, he didn't even watch Canaan walk away. He stabbed for Rhoslyn's skull and if the ranger could help it....again.

85The Black Sand Mule

So, the table leg was now the Stick of Faggotry. Anyway. Since Rhoslyn was arching up, the Stick of Faggotry would come in at the perfect angle to catch him more or less in the teeth, about the molar region. Needless to say, he'd get a pretty nice hole in his cheek and lost about three teeth in the process, his mouth filling with blood. Drinking his OWN blood wouldn't help Rhoslyn out very much (read: at all), and so he'd have his mouth open with a bruise on his lip, blood oozing out of his mouth from two places.

And if the guy was going for two more... well, Rhoslyn got poked in the temple with a not-very-deep cut and once more getting a cut up his head with splinters and s**t a few inches long. He'd have to get blood out of his left eye when he he opened it.

As Canaan landed with that bone-crunching force, Rhoslyn heard and felt the impact. Not to mention hearing the whole "oof" generally associated with getting the wind knocked out of you. Opening his eyes, the faerie kinda made out what was going down, and raised his upper body. Canaan stepped off and turned; Rhoslyn pulled his arms free and rolled hard to his right, making a deep noise of pain as his head bounced off the wood floor.

He didn't see if the guy got TOESHANKED in the ribs or in the gut, but either one was not good. He hoped Canaan had time to LASER the ********. Didn't know, didn't care. Anyway, his moving would get him out of the last two strikes of the Stick of Faggotry.

This was costing him time and he did not like it. His push would get him rolled enough to be laying on his stomach and kinda on his right arm, somewhat facing the guy's knee a few feet away. Eyes closed again, focusing his magic back inside him. This WOULD take more than a simple one-post handwave to fix, whether he liked it or not. His fist clenched and unclenched as he focused on breath and blood.

Will got KO'd by the pain.

All that stabbing was last-ditch.

Shattered Steel would win this one.

((Pretty cool fight.))

87The Black Sand Mule

[I'd fight you again, it was enjoyable. ^.^]

Rhoslyn kinda bent his knees a little, trying to curl in the fetal position as he kept his Hand going. He had no idea of the other guy being passed out, and kinda dimly expected that in a few seconds once he caught his breath, the Green Ranger would come up and start stabbing him in the face with that goddamn table leg again.

88C-Z-N

"Looks like he had enough. Two down, one to go."

Pushing off the bar, Canaan walked over towards Ross and knelt down beside him. He was afraid to touch the guy or move him at all, didn't want to cause any further damage.

"Superb ******** job, Ross."

About that time, medics rushed onto the scene, immediately applying all the necessary bandages, gauze, disinfectant, stitches, ect. Despite the fact that Ross was pretty much like Kain in his ability to take enormous amounts of damage and continue fighting.

These guys were practically living weapons.

Blue Ranger got the same medical care, with special attention paid to his damaged leg. Rather than amputating because of the possibly of bad infection, a white mage proceeded to use his abilities to heal up the wound.

"Alright, Yathzee, looks like you're up. Take that green guy down, I'm tired of looking at him."

89The Black Sand Mule

Eventually, when Rhoslyn got alert enough, he'd ignore the protests of the medics and rise to a kinda sitting up position. Blinking a few times at the lights being shined in his face, he looked around. Okay, so he still couldn't see all that well.

"Yo, Blue... you can't talk BLEEEP worth a damn, but you're a crazy, hard motherBLEEP and I like that. Thanskh- OW, BLEEP, woman, I'm trying to make a speech here, get that BLEEPing BLEEP out of my face-hole! - for the fight, dude. BLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP."

The TV staff had already caught onto the fact that Rhoslyn swore like a sailor and had readied the Censor Guy to bleep the s**t out of Rhoslyn. He didn't notice it, of course, but still, censoring was there.

He kinda looked around and focused on the guy if he could find him, then sighed and went back down on the gurney or whatever as the EMT's mobbed him.

"Someone find me a bottle of tequila and a bag of weed."

90The Crossed Fox

"Well, that was fun to watch." Yasuo commented on Rhoslyns fight. there was quite a bit of stabbing and biting in it, but it had gotten the guy to go into KO status fairly quickly. The shinobi would turn to look at his Team Captain with a smile, very much impressed with how well both he and Ross had done with their fights, along with Kain's display of pure "Explosive" spunk.

Yasuo thought to himself on this now. Two fights won meant a Team Win for Shattered Steel. Very nicely done in the time they had all been given, in his opinion. The shinobi would be up to nothing more than a play match at this point, if that stabby Green Ranger guy wanted. Of course he'd need to run it by Canaan first, as well as the judges for safety reasons. He opened his mouth,

"Canaan..." he began. "Should we let that Green ma-" Well it was obvious that his Captain had been a step ahead of him on this one.

"You got it, my friend." He complied without haste, stepping up from his chair and dusting himself off for no good reason. He picked up the water gourd and hulked it in his right hand into the arena space, placing it next to him and popping the top off of it before calling out the final Ranger.

"It's your turn, Green Man." He said with a smirk hidden beneath his facemask. This guy seemed like a firecracker already, and the display of water manipulation made things a bit more interesting. This green guy was in for a hell of a match. "Whenever you're ready."

The massive letters exploded from the very tea the armored figure at the bar was drinking.

Match over, VICTOR: Rhoslyn of Shattered Steel.

Thus it was written.

Too bad he'd never be ready, because the round was over.

2 KOs = Victory for Shattered Steel.

If anyone else wanted to throw down, then it would have to step in and if that happened...

Neither team would like the results.

93The Crossed Fox

Yasuo would then sit his a** down, because the judge always knew best.

94The Black Sand Mule

Rhoslyn continued to lay there and get checked out. No, no concussion, just a lot of bruises on the head, and he'd need stich-

"Oh, HELL no."

-stiches. The assorted medical people continued to argue with Rhoslyn over the idea until he finally calmly and politely pointed out to them that they could go play a game that involved hiding somewhere and having sex with themselves because his wounds would have plenty of time to heal. After that, the rest of his checkup was relatively quick, with a few impossible-to-insult medical people going through their checklists with a cool efficiency, not minding Rhoslyn being a douche. He hurt, of course he'd be onery. That was their logic, anyway.

Anyway, after being all hooked up to an IV and being fed a potion, as well as getting a promise out of Ross to check in with them first thing in the morning tomorrow, the fey was quickly bounced out and left free to wander around as long as he kept the IV on and didn't drink. He'd spend the rest of his time in the area chatting to his team-mates, congratulating the two fighters on the other team for putting on a good show / general luck-wishing in future endeavors.

Canaan did pretty much the same thing as Ross, only he left a little earlier. There was a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach that his wife was going to have stuff to say to him. Hopefully she'd gotten preoccupied with something and hadn't watched the match - which was likely the case as she hadn't shown up to the arena. He was actually relieved at these turn of events.

96The Crossed Fox

Yasuo would turn in tail with the rest of his team as well. Though he wanted to fight in the match, a session of people watching had very much satisfied his thirst for the afternoon. Learning much about the young generations along with a lesson in crazed teenagers and what not has taught Yasuo a very valuable lesson for life.

When your kids get older, smack them so they listen. He knew he didn't want any of his kids running around in bright colored lollipop suits and helmets to match.

The air was brisk and fresh when he got into the doorway of the Firebrand. Surely the owner would be relieved to find the place in almost one piece. Sure, a few chairs here or there, a few bottles of booze used up and what not. It was nice to see that there really wasn't any open flame anywhere, especially after that blast Kains blood let off. There was, however, a distinct smoky smell around the time the shinobi went out the door. It was weird, but it was probably nothing.

Then, a flash image suddenly popped into the ninjas head.

"Hm."

Again, it was probably nothing. The shinobi would leave with little worry.

"So there you have it, Team Shattered Steel are the first winners of this year's Heaven or Hell tournament. With exceptional teamwork these fighters have well deserved their victory. Have a good night, boys!"

"Yes, you heard it here on Gaia FIGHT Network, it seems, it was Team Shattered Steel--"

"Shattered Steel--"

"Sha--"

"----ttered--"

"--------------Steel."

Firebrand was bustling with exuberence over having hosted the first victory in the season, much jubilation was going on outside that everyone filed outside to catch a glimpse of the Fighters as they left. Everyone was cheering and filled such excitement that all was forgotten from their minds except for THIS and the NOW. An absolutely marvelous occurrence.

MEANWHILE

"Oi, Chef Baconi, didja he'r?"

Concentrating on his work the great Chef Baconi would not be disturbed from exterior distractions, it was just him and his work. These meals HAD to be prepared, rounds didn't last all day and the spectators needed food. THEY NEEDED HIM.

"I'm BIZEH, can you not-a see that!?"

He brushed his moustache and gave it a twist, most sinister indeed, it was clear indication that the great Chef Baconi didn't want to be disturbed. It was certain pain to those who crossed the Chef during his meticulous art. No, this dishwasher wasn't going to let the rumours stop him from sharing the news!

"Team Shattered Steel Won! Everyone's already to go see them!"

"Dis cannot-a be!? I LOVE-A DAT TEAM!"

Chef Baconi quickly wiped his hands with the towel on his shoulder, tossing it above the stove to the wire rack. Together they rushed out of the kitchen, through the bar and to the outside, eyes bulging half out of their sockets in unsurmountable fan infected hysteria. Shoving themselves passed a couple of other patrons they were soon lost in the flood around the ambulance.

...

The two moshed through the crowd, eager to see the very men that they were catering for, they had to congratulate them and get their autographs!

It was no sooner than the master and apprentice happened to strike a cadre of officers amongst the people, both getting some seriously mean looks and none too promising. The cops took out their night sticks and went Rodney King justifiably appropriate use of force on their asses. Beating them down to the ground, cuffing them, then hauling them into the car. And yes, the siren was turned on.

BWWWEEEEE-OOOOO BWEEEEEEEEEEEEE-OOOOOOOOOO

But nobody was around to hear the siren. The sprinklers went off immediately trying to douse the quick growing bacon blaze, but it had already crawled up the Chef's towel that was situated next to the cardboard box of coaster and Baconi's stash of Blue Crystal s**t.

The water from the sprinklers infuriated the grease, sending the flaming spatters around the stove top. Dishtowels and papertowel that were quickly discarded by over-zealous fans were added to the inferno. The fires hit the ceiling, consuming the tiles within it's dastard clutches.

It wasn't long before the path of destruction was unstoppable. It hit the bar first, fueling itself with the alocohol. By now the smoke and flicker of orange caught the attention of the media, now, since both teams had exited.

"And there goes Teams Shattered Steel and Team---OH MY GOSH! THE TAVERN! THE TAVERN IS ON FIRE!--SOMEONE CALL THE FIRE DEPARTMENT! THE TAVERN IS ON FIRE. Oh, my word....."

Athan was standing just outside, making his rounds to make sure crowds weren't getting too uppity or whatnot. How was he supposed to know the match had been determined already?

"Wait a minute."

There was fire.

The Firebrand, a building pretty much made entirely out of stone, was on fire.

Athan stopped in mid-stride, pivoted on his rear foot, and just walked away.

99The Black Sand Mule

Aña totally snuck away from the fire. She had nothing at all to do with it. No sir, not a thing to do with that fire. At all. Nothing whatsoever, and by the gods she would challenge anyone who said she did to a duel! Why, she wasn't even in the kitchen at all and certainly didn't stare at that fire and wonder if she could possibly try to set stone on fire!

She innocently walked away stared at that fire with a slasher smile on her face.

"Hehehehehe. Fire. Fire. Heheheh."

And SOMEONE was walking out of the burning building, clothes on fire, looking mad as hell, and ready for revenge. Smoke rising off of his body, much of his clothing burned, each step taken was alight with flame and fury.

He stepped out onto the beach, where a dwarf stood, stroking his beard in deep thought.

The man on fire reached out for the dwarf.

"Watts, you lost this bet. Again. You owe me five hundred bucks."

The dwarf shrugged. "Ach lade'h, yih havteh admeh th'firewha'k wah pre'ah fuhte'wa'ch."
