Leviathan Stadium

It's time!

The finals for Heaven or Hell have arrived, pitting Team Shattered Steel versus Team Never Knows Best in the world renowned Leviathan Stadium. The seats are brimming with a sea of faces, human or otherwise, tens of thousands roaring sentients who have come to watch the deciding match of the year. Black-armored judges stand by, and Noah looks on from his press-box.

Hopefully, this year will not disappoint.

Terrain

General - Any fighter worth their salt should know the Leviathan Stadium's set-up. The fighting area's size allows for a certain amount of give or take to how the matches will play out.

Natural Element Resource - None.

Weapons - None.

Bonus Effects - For the finals, matches will be allowed to take place concurrently; all three fights can happen simultaneously as long as each post is 'earmarked' with a tag denoting who is fighting who. This means that teams will have to be exceedingly careful with their fourth member's Strikers, for fear of confusion.

Good luck.

2Joseph Brown

No over fancy entrance this time, anything that happened here was up to the powers that be in the tournament. Instead Joseph walked onto the arena with confidence of someone who was moments away from achieving what they set out to do. He was still a bit stiff and sore, as most HoH fights go there was only enough time between rounds to get barely back into fighting condition and get out there. Against doctor's orders of course. Even so Joseph was ready, he even actualy had time to undo a few more of Damnatus' little numbers, like hair colour for example.

"Well." He removed his sunglasses and looked though the audience, "You were expecting someone else?"

The CEO felt like a badguy wrestler. Sure people were cheering for his team, but there were more cheering against him just because who he had beaten. Bets lost, fans from the begging upset for the first time, and kids crying as their heroes had fallen. Maybe Joseph was the badguy, and if not he couldn't help but feeling like it as he grinned over the thought. Now there was one last challenge. One last hurdle before he proved that they weren't so special after all. Maybe it would kill him yet, maybe Agent was right in criticizing this whole plan for being a horrible idea. Far from the best course of action.

But Joseph. Well, Joseph never knew what was best.

3Dante Decker

Cheering,

Screaming,

Jeering.

The crowd was here and it its cries had become a living breathing entity, it rose and fell as it was fed by the antics of the arriving fighters.

It ebbed and flowed as excitement flowed from section to section. Up in the nose-bleed seats the wind whipping past the flags that ringed the stadium cracked and snapped muting some of the crowds cries, and there standing alone was Sol.

Though not usually a self promoter (even he didnt have the ego to support it) he was being paid DIRECTLY from advertising budget, so every showy entrance he did meant more money in his bonus check.

...and he was going for as many digits on that check as possible.

"OH YEAH, BROTHER"

Sol's bartitone voice cut through the crowds cheers and excitement as if it had come from every corner of the stadium, which in a sense it had, the speakers carrying his voice around the arena, the crowd beginning to look around for the source of the voice. Their searching would be rewarded as a spotlight rose up from some platform on the other side of the stadium illuminating a sharply dressed form slowly walking down the west steps from the nosebleed section;

Shades,

Suit jacket,

Microphone.

"ALPHA THROUGH EPSILON IN THE HOUSE!"

Sol was ready, and he was hamming it up with the fans in the cheap seats prodding the mobs mixed cries to raise to a deafening pitch Sol walking slowly down the Steps shaking hands or high five-ing some young fan that reached out to him.

On his chest, just underneath his suit jacket was new 'I MAKE AN ENTRANCE' shirt, black letters on a white background, this time the helicopter silhouette was not alone. Joining it were three other silhouettes, to the helicopter right was the image of a flying car, below that a a fairly good if simple silhouette of Glaciers airship with a red X crossing it out.

Sol gave one more handshake than stuck his hands to both sides his wide reach able to high five people on both sides of the aisle as he ran down the steps as the spot light followed him. The crowd to either side of the aisle standing tot heir feet to high five the over six foot high man as he made his way down towards the center ring.

"SHATTERED STEEL, WHATYA GONNA DO."

Sol, now on the merchants ring level and overlooking the center ring itself came to the rail, the small open area filling in well for a stage. Or at least as much of a stage as sol needed. Sol grabbed the I make an entrance shirt with his free left hand and ripped the bodily off his chest, perhaps a little too easily and threw the remnants out into the stands

"WHEN SOL-A-MANIA RUNS WILD ON YOU?"

Sol smiled and put his left hand to his ear as if to listen to a response from an opponent that had not yet stepped out into the stadium. Sol dropped the microphone to the ground at his feet, the amplified thud adding emphasis to his statement. The crowd loved it the jeers turning the cheers, the shouts of lost bets changing to claps or just silencing them entirely.

Sure it was all playing to the crowd, Sol was not an egotistical man, but the money was good and even he had to admit in a venue like this, he pretty much had to...

"Eat your veggies, kids."

4GreenBlades

"Oh baby. Gimme a beat."

As if the dropped mike had been a cue, fireworks exploded from the back of the stands in a huge, and predominantly orange display.

With the lights and the bright colours still dancing in front of their eyes, the audience was treated to a fast rift and some low beats!

~Well I rolled and I tumbled, cried the whole night long~ Bump, bump.

There was of course a massive tv display for the crowds to see highlights. Absolutely no telling what kind of massive carnage, blood, and eldar gods that thing had shown in the past years events.

~Well I rolled and I tumbled, cried the whole night long~ Bump, bump.

And now, it was seeing Alison Harmony, dressed to the nines in, of all things, and orange cheerleading outfit. Pom-poms the colour of construction vehicles twisted and turned, hips swivelling with every last few bump, hitting each beat with a flick of the skirt.

~When I woke up this mornin, didn't know right from wrong.~

Oh that was so catering, exactly the right expression for a little pretty girl that didn't know her rights from her wrongs. Eat your heart out. This was a surprising amount of enthusiasm from the little secretary, and for the first time...she was doing something completely off record from her contract. She was having fun, and it showed, from the grin to the flash of orange knickers she had on.

~Well if the river was whiskey, and I was a diving duck.

~Well if the river was whiskey, and I was a diving duck.~

Lyrics just for her boss-man. Who thought that such an underdog team would get so far, in such a way. But they'd done it. It was time to live it up! Straight to the audience and the viewers at home.

~Well I would dive to the bottom, I swear I would never come up.

She sank to her knees, for the pause, and then slowly rolled her body up from the floor, those teasing, flashing balls of coloured fabric twitching and shaking.

~Well I could have had religion, oo in this bad ole Sunday.

~I could have had religion, in this bad ole Sunday~

Hope of heaven, hope of redemption for the team dubbed 'evil genius.' Maybe today would see them rise to the top of this game, or get sent packing to the hell most thought they richly deserved with all their corporate suits and buisness dealings.

~Mm but whiskey and bad love, won't let me have my way.~

Or for Ms. Harmony and her suitable assets and pouty looks for not obviously not getting her way, most of which twisted and turned in a disorienting way for any gender, let alone the male one. Magazine camera's flickered constantly.

~I rolled and I tumbled....~

Come and save me...

~And I rolled and I tumbled...

Or get the hell out of my way.

~I rolled and I tumbled.

But the time the last little gasp and 'Sh!' Came from her mouth, the audience was roaring, drowning out consciousness, drowning out fear, and spurring the contestants just that little bit further that they needed to go.

It was glorious.

5Joseph Brown

Joseph grinned at the antics. Sol was commanding attention in the best way he knew how, and Allison was... Well Allison was doing much the same. Even Joseph had to let out an exaggerated slow whistle. Needless to say if your eyes weren't on one, they were clearly on the other. Demographics and how to pander to them.

That's what this was about after all. Some of the jeers from the audience were over what they represented as a team, corporate interest. Every victory was a strengthening of the Alpha through Epsilon brand. A public show of the strength of the company and the minds behind it. Hence why Sol and Snoogins were getting paid from the advertising budget, and Miss Harmony would be receiving a bonus from the same place. Joseph was the only one not getting paid to appear here. Though ultimately he would be if this elaborate gambit would pay off.

His mind went back to the conversation he had with Agent at the beginning of this tournament over what he was selling. He looked to the Adjuster Glove, repaired after what Vahn had done to it. Then he looked to the audience and grinned.

He spread his arms wide and embraced what his team represented.

"Ladies and Gentlemen!"

He yelled out.

"A word from our sponsor!"

--- --- --- ---

It costs quite a bit for the time needed for a superbowl ad, and Heaven or Hell is on that level for the people of Gaia. It would be no suprise then that a company like A~E could afford a spot during this time, which as a sponsor they often did. This time though, Joseph had hijacked the displays in the stadium and across Gaia with his own brand of persuasive marketing. There was an overlay of the A~E logo and a quiet looking lobby of what could have been any business or bank across Gaia. But suddenly the music picked up, the door was kicked down by men with guns, body armour, and face masks. There was little commotion as turrets came up from the floor, and guards rushed forward to quickly subdue the intruders.

"That was the leading competitors security system." Joseph's voiceover kicked in, "Pretty impressive until you realize what they test for isn't what happens on gaia. Let's take a look at what would really happen."

Back to the calm lobby, only this time what breaks through is best described as a bunch of ninjas led by a big gay wizard in the most ornate robes possible. Everyone in the lobby began to scream as the ninjas deflected the bullets from the turrets with their swords alone, and moved too fast for the guards to catch. All the while the wizard was shouting magic words that caused destructive magic lighting to cause random destruction, and beams of light that turned bystanders into trout flopping on the ground.

"Not a pretty scene. What you need is."

It cut to a shot of a larger bipedal robot running through a hallway, accompanied by flying drones in the background. The frame froze and the words "A~E ADJUSTER TECHNOLOGY" appeared in a dramatic overlay. The robots burst into the room, using the shifting weapons to nullify the ninjas advantages and capturing them in electrified nets. Then the larger robot charged the wizard, using the force shield to shrug off magic, and then looked as if he was about to deliver a devastating punch.

Then it cut to Joseph walking through a very picturesque field. With no black eye, wounds, or scars it was clear this was filmed earlier or he had amazing makeup people.

"As you can see, Adjuster technology can make the difference between your assets being toast and your assets being safe in this crazy world we live in. It's not just effective against ninjas and wizards, our Adjuster drones and turrets will help protect you from..." The camera panned and a list of words rose up beside Joseph as he spoke, "Knights, mad science, parasitic lifeforms, vampires, double vampires, homoerotic vampires, the warp, mummies, giant spiders, towering infernos, giant robots, and much much more."

Joseph thumbed his chest and propped his foot up on a rock. Exposing the fact he had Adjuster gloves and boots on.

"All new Alpha through Epsilon partners will be offered the access to this amazing security feature, and all existing partners will be offered an upgrade at reduced cost. As you've surely seen, my confidence in this technology extends to the fact that I'm willing to risk life and limb to test it out in the Heaven or Hell tournament..." The camera zoomed in on his face as he grinned, "But you don't have to take my word for it, listen to what others have to say about Adjuster technology..."

And periodically from then on the feed would be interrupted by the talking busts of a varied amount of folks. Each would have a bar showing their name, perhaps a title, and of course the A~E logo.

Celebrity testimonials, nothing was sacred.

6The Crossed Fox

Excitement. The emotion that could explain every action going on in the arena.

Adrenaline. The fuel that powered the euphoric feeling that swept over the fighters.

Fear. The obstacle that all had to overcome in such a large-scaled event, viewed by tens of thousands of people.

It truly was a good day to be on top...

Shattered Steel's appointed shinobi, Yasuo, seemed to be the first of the team on the scene. Leviathan Stadium roared with the cheers of thousands upon thousands of spectators, the entertainment of simply being here enough to set off the waves of people who had been waiting for the finals to start. It was the Superbowl of the Gaian world, the World Series of this Universe. Truly... it was one of the most important things on anybodies list.

Three members of Never Knows Best, the team that took out the famed Team Glacier, stood confidently on the other end of the stadium. They were more on the ball the Yasuo even, who normally wasn't late for such events.

"Hmm." The shinobi gave a questioning glance over to each of them. Joseph Brown, the leader and Appointed rich guy. Sol, the human Tank. Allison, the weaponista. They all were unique in their own accord... and it meant that they were all dangerous along such a line as well. "This is going to be a lot different than the other fights." Yasuo deduced this by the sheer stance of them all. It was ridiculously intimidating...

7Joseph Brown

"I'd hope so." Joseph called out in response, "And it better be different from every other finals match. That just didn't make good TV, and I wouldn't want to waste the money I spent on that ad."

Joseph looked pensive.

"In fact I say we can get two of these rumbles started right away." Joseph pointed in the air towards the sky arena, "Since they're not using it this year."

Joseph has requested use of the sky arena for one of the fights. If that's OK with the opposing team and the Judges.

8C-Z-N

"Finally reached the endgame. S'about time."

Shattered Steel had managed to fight and beat every challenge that had been thrown at them this entire tournament. From crazed martial artists and people that drop walls on other people, to fighting an army of robots and getting shot by an airship cannon. And that was only the first couple of rounds.

One last obstacle needed to be punched through, the opposing team - one that had come through just as many trials as them. Canaan wasn't in the slightest bit worried, he walked onto the battlefield carrying himself with an air of confidence and strength.

"How tough could they be?"

//"Pretty tough, considering they bested the strongest teams in the tournament. Underestimating them now will get you beaten. Badly."//

"Even if they beat us, we won't go down without a fight."

Canaan didn't walk the rest of the way too meet the other fighters, instead taking a seat on the sidelines. This time around the captain planned to sit out and watch - see how well his team would do without him. Probably as well as they ever would.

9The Crossed Fox

Well Yasuo certainly saw no problem with this, and hopefully the rest of the team didn't mind either. It was better to kill two birds with one stone anyway.

"Sounds good," he replied casually. "Send whoever up there, I'll be waiting I guess." A glance upwards revealed that a moderately sized up platform floated above everyones heads, not but a speck in the air to the naked eye. Not only that, but there wasn't any sort of conceivable explanation as to why that thing floated where it was - as if some invisible or ethereal force manipulated it to do so. The shinobi wasn't one for questions such as these, however, and went about tossing them to the side in exchange for the fight of his career.

Logical reasoning number 1... find the damn stairs.

Were there stairs?

Where were they?

This was a question that needed to be answered...

-]Some small amount of time later[-

Yasuo had somehow managed to find a way up to the platforms. Weird, he could've sworn he was down on the ground just a minute ago. Ah the wonders of time skips.

Hopefully his opponent would find it as easy for them as it was for him. Whoever it was who came up here would be greeted by the site of a well armed ninja, and a lot of open sky.

10Dante Decker

Sol had used the not so subtle distraction created by Miss Harmony shaking her booty and Mr. Browns rather over the top and blatant corporate plug to slip quietly away from the merchants ring and make his way to the portal room.

Stairs?

One vertical mile worth of stairs?

Uh, no thank you...

Sol stood between two small swirling vortexes each labeled as going to sky ring, but one had a rather interesting side note 'Deathmatch ring' added to one side rather haphazardly. Now Sol had been the stadium before its true (its where he first met that damnable Izette woman.) but he was no by no means some expert on how the stadium works... but that's what the information desk is for.

Smiling, the six-foot three former rugby player stepped casually through the swirling vortex of death and appeared moments later standing on a fairly compact disk some fifty feet above the sky ring. The wind was strong here causing the edges of his suit jacket to flap and crack like the edge of a flag. Sol didn't mind the cold, and he had a feeling his opponent wouldn't either after going up over six thousand steps to just the basic sky ring itself. Sol had figured he had a few moments to have a seat and wait for his opponent to reach a distance suitable to taunt him up to the top ring.

Taking his suit jack off he draped it over his left shoulder and let the wind whip it as he dangled his feet over the edge. He was greeted oddly enough with the sight of one of them ninbu-or-whatever-they-were-called guys, his opponent had obviously handled the long way like a champ, but what were they called again?

Weeaboos?

No that wasn't right...

Ninjas, yes, that was right.

Well this "ninja" or whatever was early to the wrong party because Sol wasn't exactly standing right in front of him, on top of him perhaps, but its not like Sol would risk breaking both his legs for a dynamic entry...

...or would he?

No, the pay wasn't quite that good, maybe next time.

His feet dangling over the edge he decided to call out to the man over the wind whipped platform, He needed something to get his attention, something catchy something that wouldn't be lost in the crowds cheers. Something that didn't belong but at the same time felt perfectly at home asking a random stranger who he was about to fight.

... And then it came to him, the smile on his face grew to Cheshire cat levels and he put his right hand to his mouth and called out at his opponent below.

"Pardon me,"

Sol paused for a second to gauge his opponents reaction to the polite if incomplete question before continuing.

"Would you have any Grey Poupon?"

11GreenBlades

During the commercial break, Alison got herself set up within the central ring, giving the audience more to whistle about with the flash of legs as she stepped up and into the massive circular platform. Once there she winked in Joesph's direction, if nothing else then for that appreciative whistle. Inside a corporate setting that was probably grounds for a suit of some kind or another, maybe multiple, but this was radically outside the boundaries of most buisness ventures, and she was making good marketing!

With a pom-pom accentuated flourish of of orange and green, she threw the pom-poms into the air, and donned the long jacket that had been her trademark through the events leading up to the finals, before catching the bundles effortlessly. Unfortunate that there was really no time to change out of the outfit underneath, but she felt comfortable enough in the top and skirt for it not to be a problem.

Alison was still bouncing to an internal beat in her head, humming happily, and waiting for her opponent to show. At this point she didn't mind who, just so long as they were up for it and ready to put on a good sight for the crowds. It'd be a shame to get this far and to sink into entropy now....

12The Black Sand Mule

Rhoslyn didn't really like the outfit. Well, that was a lie. He did like the whole "nothing-but-leather" look, but the problem was the accessories. It wasn't his idea, but like hell if he'd disagree with his team captain over the conditions. Didn't matter... it was symbolic, and he'd be out of the clothes later. So, Rhoslyn entered the stadium. Which is to say, two of his Raven Knights pushed him out. He was tied in chains from shoulders to knees, apparantly restrained in a straightjacket, and was wearing one of those muzzles you saw on Hannibal Lecter. Behind that was a scowl. A very, very big one.

After all, you'd be kinda cranky too if you were being "punished" for being "overly aggressive" when your opponent was still "alive". Well.... maybe not, but he was. He had made a demand for no leashes, at least, and his team had obliged. It was not a very big concession.

squeaksqueaksqueak

"Mmh! Mmmh nngh pmm mmh whmmm!"

squeaksqueaksqueak

"Mmn... fmph thm shmm."

The women nodded, and moved away, dropping his open Case o' Pain on the ground beside him. Taking a deep breath, the fey closed his eyes and focused for a second. Two. Three! He jerked against the chain, not feeling any need to hold back. The chains bent and stretched, and he wormed his way out before using his favorite TK-knife trick to get out of the straightjacket. A quick series of hand movements later, and he was unmuzzled.

Ooh, look, most of the crowd was staring at him.

"Oh, I'm supposed to make a speech now? Right. Yo, all of you NKB guys - congrats on makin' it here. All of our fans, thanks for the support. And hey, everybody, be sure to drop by the Black Sand Bar on your next southern vacation!"

Yeah, that was it. He waved and spun around, SHINY'ing, then looked around. Was it gonna be FITE time now?

"Oh yeah, one more thing..." He grinned, teeth all manner of pointy, audibly sharp, and shiny as ********. With a quick TK and a twirl of his wrists, a pair of his knives were in his hands, icepick-style grip. Rhoslyn brought up his dukes with the blades pointing out.

"WHO WANTS SOME OF THIS!?"

13Rika Ex

Several minutes earlier....

Joseph Brown Wrote:

Celebrity testimonials, nothing was sacred.

The screen cross-faded to the burned-out husk of what many in the crowd would recognize as the Firebrand. A male voice-over framed the scene. "This was my home. I never thought anything would happen, that anything could happen - a building made specifically not to burn down, made out of the strongest stone known the man."

The male voice transferred to that of a woman who walked into the shot, wearing a plain pair of jeans and t-shirt, but with a jacket that was clearly emblazoned with the A~E logo and colors. "Hi, I'm Sakura. You may remember me from such Heaven or Hell tournaments as 2007, and the popular show Rage V." The crowd roared and cheered, and for some reason the woman on-screen paused as if she knew this was what was going to happen. "I've never had any problems taking care of myself, but when I'm away, I need to know I have security that I can trust - security that can take care of itself."

There was another cross-fade, this time showing what appeared to be the same beach, but the Firebrand had a poorly-made facade in front. The camera zoomed in, and the words "DRAMATIC REENACTMENT" faded in and out at the bottom of the screen. The male voice returned, as well. "The Adjuster is a great way to protect businesses. Did you know the number one cause of lost revenue is attacks? It's true."

As he said this, the view switched to the inside, and two ninjas duct-taped together burst through the door. People inside the restaurant scattered as the two ninjas were followed by the big gay wizard from earlier and a dog that shot flaming laser beams from it's eyes. Absolute chaos erupted. "How many times has this happened to you? When you're running a business on Gaia, the answer is 'at least twice.'"

The bipedal robot appeared again, this time punting the two ninjas duct-taped together out the window, subduing the wizard by shooting out a homing bolo, and distracting the dog by dispensing a small number of magic-dampening dog treats, and carefully patting the dog on the head. The screen cut again, this time to the bipedal robot wearing an apron and taking orders from customers.

"With A~E's Adjuster technology, you can rest safe in knowing that you don't just have a security system..."

Sakura walked up to the robot, giving it a pat on the side.

"You have a friend."

VWOMP!

"...the hell?"

A somewhat loud noise emanated from the second smaller platform above, accompanied by a circle of blue light that closed as fast as it had opened. It had caught the shinobi's attenton immediately.

What exactly was that? Some sort of magical doing? It was odd that such a thing would happen out of nowhere, unless of course...

Sol Wrote:

"Pardon me,"

"Damn..." all of that forgotten work, done for nothing.

Sol Wrote:

"Would you have any Grey Poupon?"

And of all things the human tank could've asked for, it was mustard? A near silent giggle released itself from Yasuo's throat, having been caught off guard by such a question. He needy a witty reply though, as to not look like some sort of fool...

...

...

...

Ok, so he'd look like a fool, with the simple reply of "Umm..." and "No I don't?"

Yasuo was never good with witty stuff. He'd waste no time getting on the opposite side of the higher platform and hopping up onto it though. After righting himself, he'd soon notice that the wind was a bit heavier on the small "Death match" platform - colder too, but the wind reminded him of home once again, in the long spanning mountains of Iwagakure. He would soon be on his way home again, with the word of Iwa spread, and plenty of money to keep his dreams going.

Once he was up there, he felt it proper to congratulate Sol. Again, they were in the finals, and deserved such a thing.

"Good job on getting here, my friend." Yasuo greeted. "Regardless of who wins, I want you to know that it has been one hell of a trip getting here. At least for me..." A smile under his mask and the flexing of his cheek muscles showed a great honor bestowed upon the shinobi. "Good luck." His final introductory word to Sol indicating he was ready for battle, at any point the other felt ready.

The shinobi just hoped the excitement didn't get the best of him right now...

15Dante Decker

[Sol vs Yasuo; The Skyring]

Sol stood from his seat on the edge of the ring and bowed graciously in response to his opponents well-wishes, though he knew better than to take his eyes off him while he smiled politely. His smart-a** grin from earlier fading as Sols mind began to focus on the task at hand. The sound of helicopters rising to reach their level built slowly in the background rising in tempo and noise from all around them.

"Thank you, I wish you the best as well. I do have something to tell you though, before the cameras arrive and we must assume our expected personas..."

Sol took several steps towards the center of the ten foot by ten foot death match ring, putting them both about one Sol size body length between them before he spoke again setting his feet in Boxer like fighting stance, but with his hands still low at his sides.

"I chose this venue for its view, which I must say is spectacular..."

thump-thump-thump...

He swept the scene around them with his arm motioning to to uninterrupted vistas that surrounded them for mile and miles.

"Few people get to fight at such a wondrous place, and fewer still have a chance to enjoy it properly."

thump-thump-thump...

Sol brought his hands up in a loose fighters stance as if to give his opponent a polite signal that it was nearly time to begin, but Sols persona was still that of the polite man who had greeted him.

thump-thump-thump...

"Though this the Death-Match arena, I have no intention of causing lethal harm to you. I merely choose this as to provides us not only with a near perfect backdrop, but also we are now free of interruptions."

"We may fight freely and without restraint. I hope you enjoy this fight as well as I plan to, and I hope we make it back down in time to watch the rest of our teams enjoy theirs..."

thump-thump-thump...

The roar of the helicopters was becoming deafening, their Cameras already beginning to swivel in the direction of the Sky Ring. As they got closer the 'true' Sol was beginning to fade as the over confident destroyer began to fill in, his form tensing slightly, his smile widening and his stance shifting his weight on to the toe of his right foot, and the heel of his left foot.

thump-thump-thump...

"Now, if youd be so kind... I WANT YOU TO HIT ME!"

The cameras had arrived, and now the world would get a fight they would never forget...

[Preamble]

[Joseph vs Rhoslyn_]

It was a show alright, wheeled out and displayed like some sort of ravenous animal. Joseph began a slow clap as he began to undo the chains and he became unmuzzled. The attendants cleared the way and Joseph was standing across the way from him, a decent distance to traverse and just far enough out of the refraction laser's "accurate" range. That wasn't going to stop Joseph.

"Nice speech." Joseph called out to Rhoslyn and pointed his index and middle finger at him, the familiar gun gesture, "Let's not disappoint the fans."

"Pew. Pew."

The crowed roared out upon hearing those words, dedicated Never Knows Best fans held up a sign that said "Pew pew, bang bang!". The little laser that could proved to be Joseph's most versatile asset in this tournament. The close range firring against Connor, the firebomb against Damnatus, and even the flurry of blots against Vahn, the voice activated beam had become Joseph's trademark. It not appearing in the finals would be like Athan showing up without his sword, or Seig without Jesus. Even so, Joseph was pushing his luck with the range he was shooting from. The two low powered bolts erupted from his fingers in the general direction of Rhoslyn aimed for his torso as it was the larger target.

"Pew."

He had steadied and readjusted his aim for the last shot, with a bit of a hammy flourish for the crowd of course. This shot wasn't aimed at the opponent, but rather the opponent's bag o' pain. Once again, longer distance and low powered shot wouldn't do any damage to the thing. But even if he just nicked it he'd the force of the shining energy would likely knock it from the owner's side.

17Dragosani Kain

Kain had arrived seperate from his teammates, choosing instead to avoid the main hub-ub of press and spectators. Most would be rushing to their seats after the teams had arrived and the Devil would only have to deal with a fraction of the giddy people.

After their victory over Jormungandr he said nothing to the rest of his teammates, he had nothing to say to any of them. All they had become for him now were more people to deal with, this tournament held a different meaning.

"KAIN! KAIN! Could you sign---"

Outta my way.

His march into the stadium went unhindered, the interloper was promptly MOVED from his path

"--HEY-wha--WHAT THE HELL!?"

Hell? Just me today, kid.

The smoke on his lips was snatched, a wash of blue-grey smoke masked his face as he entered into the Stadium. The roar of the people was so intense that he could feel its power, his desire to see them all torn asunder was growing. The Devil's wings stretched out, his maw gaped and gnashed together in a fanged wall, his horns displayed prominently atop his crown and the tail of his wavered behind him.

Kain clapped his hands together, the air blurring around them with a haze of heat, brushing up both his sleeves showing he had nothing to hide this round. Soon he would be settling next to his team, taking up quite a bit of space and feeling no hint that his indiscretion or lack of team interaction bothered him.

Nothing can stop us now. Yet...

It was at that time Yasuo and Rhos had gone off to their fights almost as if they read his thoughts, eager to prove it.

I've nothing to prove, no desire, no humility. Nothing to lose. Never Knows Best, what's your passion...

18Snoogins

Apparently Snoogins did not get the memo while he recovered from being hit by a landslide…

See while Sol and Ms Harmony and JB were all doing there thing he was in the stands watching. Sure he could have checked, or even noticed if the damn FIGHTER thing had said anything but he had sure that they would not make it.

So there he was in mid sip of his over priced beer when it all went down causing him to shower the people ahead of him.

“Oh… shi…”

The first thing he did was something no one would have expected from him, he dropped the beer and ran down the stairs towards the field.

“Dammit… excuse me… sorry… Mybosswillpayforthathonestgottogo!”

All the way down he was shouting excuses to the people he was knocking over until he finally made it down. He ran now along the sides till he got pretty close to where his team was and rather ungracefully he hoped down onto the field.

He tried his best to gather with his team unnoticed and struck something akin to a superhero pose, fists on his hips as the sun glinted off his sun glasses… though he knew know one was buying it.

“Sorry, I… ah… stopped for a drink on the way.”

There was a slight pause before he sighed and shrugged his shoulders.

“Aw just forget about it.. Really. I’m here now.”

Pulling out his cigarettes he took one and the matches, note to self get lighter back soon, and lit one. After replacing the packs in his coat pocket he inhaled deeply staring at all the people in the stands, some who got to know his elbows personally, and exhaled.

“So… we actually made it to judgment day.”

19[Yusuke Urameshi]

There was one guy sitting in the bleachers.

The one guy that mattered.

He was here, the punk kid from Mushiyori High.

The finals for the past two years have SUCKED. So he hoped this year would be better.

Because if it wasn't, then someone was going to have to answer to Yusuke Urameshi.

20The Crossed Fox

The mans spoke nothing but the truth.

The truth of beauty.

The sites were amazing! The setting fantastic! There wasn't anything like it the world; a place that held such a wide open scene was something that could only be experienced once in a lifetime. It really was a rush over the human psyche. The freedom of the fight, without restraint or interruption, was something Yasuo had not been able to experience at all in this tournament, either. Finally, an opponent who honored a gentleman's code.

The peace was broken in an instant, howevsr - the helicopters of the press and cameramen roaring over both the Shinobi and Sol.

Sol Wrote:

"Now, if you'd be so kind... I WANT YOU TO HIT ME!"

"My pleasure,"

Game time...

Bunshin no Jutsu

Two exact forms of the shinobi formed on either side, each standing in the same position. Yasuo then drew from his back his Red Dragon, the blade he had carried throughout this entire tournament. From flesh to stone, this baby has had very few enemies throughout its use in Heaven or Hell; would Sol be another add on to the list of the fallen? We would soon find out...

Clone 1 (Yasuo's right side), would run off in a curve forward, while the second clone (Left side) would dash forward along with the real Yasuo (Center). A few steps into it, Yasuo would jump high up and raise his blade while the second clone kept his dash forward. Clone 1 and 2 would reach the man simultaneously, with clone one dashing across with its blade jutted outwards, and clone two passing by along the mans right side and slashing soon after.

Now if Sol payed attention to a few very thorough details, he'd notice two things.

  1. There was no sound coming from the clones footsteps.

And 2. There would be no disruption between their feet and the ground, no dust kicking or small pebbles being knocked out of their paths.

This was because the clones were nothing but an image created from a thin chakra flow that was created and maintained by the originator, Yasuo. They could not damage, nor touch nor feel anything in their environment; visible ghosts they were, in a way.

So if Sol had played into Yasuo's little ploy, he'd notice the clones disappear into a bunch of speed lines just after coming into contact with the large mans form. Up above him, however, was something completely different.

Whiiish!!!!!!

The air whizzed as the blade cut through it. By the time Sol would look up (unless noticed prior to these happenings) the end of the Red Dragon would be crossing the mans chest. It wouldn't be deep enough to cause any problems, but it would at least be first blood on the part of the ninja's.

Another new tactic revealed to the people. He was going all out here...

He'd seen the fights. So, the laser thing was not a total surprise - still, seeing it so early was. As Joseph pointed, he started moving sideways to his right, lifting two knives and three straight razors out of the case.

Joseph spoke, and Rhoslyn moved sideways faster, feeling one of the blasts singing his arm. A little red, but he could deal with it. It wasn't like a bad fire burn.

Well, that depended on how much weight it could move. Either way, Rhoslyn was in no position to stop it, and it'd spin around and flip a little, spilling out some nails and the handle of something.

In the meantime... Rhoslyn had his own signature move. The knives came steadily towards Joseph, loosely aimed for the abdomen. It was pretty dodgeable, due to distance.

"PUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSSSSYYYYYYYYYYYYYY~"

The razors fell to the ground and his right knife hung in midair; a fireball began to gleam. If Joseph thought HADOKEN distance fighting was a good show, Rhoslyn would oblige after making his feelings known. Up close and personal was where it was at.

[Sol vs Yasuo; The Sky Ring]

Sol stood there at first, he didnt draw his weapons or move his hands try and block the oncoming swords from the three opponents. He simply stood there silently watching in his boxers stance. He needed a moment to take in the scene, Sol was nt one to easily fall for illusions.

At least when there was at least some evidence they were illusions anyways...

Quote:

  • Hard Head.

[...] This passive-aggressive stubbornness also tends to make him skeptical of most claims. A good quality for a bodyguard but one that doesn’t always endear him to his friends. This closed mindedness is especially prevalent in combat as he tends to resist some mind bending praxis such as illusions (he will attempt to disbelieve) and outright psychic manipulation by others. It does not mean he’s immune to such tricks, simply he will not give into his emotions until he has attempted to get a firm hold on the situation. Failing that, well there’s always screaming like a little girl.

  • Sagacious.

A shrewd and perceptive observer is one of the skills that landed Sol this job in the first place. He tends to stay very aware of his surroundings especially in combat where things have a tendency to try and hit him all angles. This unfortunately has translated over time to a mild paranoia, which despite the psychological stress it implies has saved his and his clients lives more than once. He tends to notice small sudden movements in people and their weapons quite well, a side effect of spending several years searching crowds for someone attempting to pull a weapon on his client. He may not be able to predict what they are going to do but he at least is rarely surprised by sudden actions due to their body language and the small details they common perceive as un-telling.

To be fair the illusions were masterful and till Yasuo jumped upwards Sol had no real way of knowing which was the real opponent. Once Yasuo lept into the air however and all sound of footsteps ceased on the elevated metal platform, Sol made the mental leap fairly easily. His lip formed a wide grin, he made no immediate move to any of the multiple apparent opponents now sharing the same ten foot by ten foot circle.

"Clever boy..."

There was no point responding just yet, he wait till the Ninja was just starting to come down from his leap and stepped forward quickly turning his body slightly to shorten the distance and between the men and move his head out of the way of the descending blade.

Sol could have let this be, surely missing such a strike would have probably frustrated his opponent, who seemed a good enough guy, but this was the finals... and every good miss deserved a hit.

He did have one advantage though by keeping his feet on the ground , he was not at gravities beck and call, and though He was sure Yasuo could probably somehow twist and turn to try and control his decent Sol was about to take that option away from him.

The descending right leg, coming down right in front of his face as he stood off to the mans right side would suddenly find itself no longer descending so quickly. Sols stronger right hand would attempt to 'yoink' the leg right out of the air, the leg entrapped by Sol the mans behind would find a similar unexplainable slowdown. Supported by Sol left arm hed find himself rocking forward slightly as sol would use the man remaining forward momentum to point him towards the provbably far too close for comfort edge of the ring.

catching him was a rather sporting thing to do really, a man jumping around on a ten foot diameter platform when Sol was already near enough to the edge to begin with was damn dangerous...

Sadly Sol was not being particularly sporting in this case, and though the man had slowed down was only temporary as Sol bodily shoved Yasuo up and towards the edge with his left hand, in what must have been the worlds most awkward shot put. Sol was strong of course, but even he couldn't throw Yasuo ten feet, but being less than four feet from the edge and already using the mans momentum to lean him in the right direction made such an action just a touch easier.

Were this all, it would probably have been scary but it was unlikely it would have done much but force Yasuo to reset and attack again. Sol had dealt with agile opponents before, Izette came to mind almost immediately, and Sol added a shove to Yasuo's captive right legin an attempt to delay Yasuos earliest possible point which to try and adjust his flight.

Sol had no doubt that if Yasuo could keep a cool head, he could probably either grab the edge or pull off an impressive flourish to save himself from going over... But it would be close.

One thing he knew though, it wouldn't be boring.

23The Crossed Fox

-]Sol vs Yasuo - Skyring[-

"Huh?" there was an odd feeling on both his ankle, and his a**, accompanied by a mild pause... oh boy...

Who knew this guy was into that sort of thing. Ah well, everybody has got to experience it at one point or another in their life, right? Right... >.>

Regardless, Yasuo found himself caught in mid-air, his body practically stopped and suddenly its momentum reversed. In what felt like only a moment in time, the shinobi found himself moving away from his intended target instead. Jumping was never a good idea, but it felt right in these kinds of situations. Maybe it was the anime-esque world he came from, or maybe it played into his inner monologuing. Regardless, he had to blame his homeland for this.

Sol was good with this throw, too. It had caused Yasuo's weight and momentum to fluctuate around a bit, throwing him off of his balance. Yasuo's arms shot out to regain his balance and redistribute his weight, and landed on one knee once he hit the stone surface. This would be a short lived landing, however, if only due to the fact that the ground would suddenly disappear from under the shinobi's feet.

"Dammit!" he yelled, leaning forward and jutting out his fingers, grasping for something. The edge eventually came, luckily, but with the unfortunate downside of having only his left hand grip it. He wasn't more than fifteen seconds into the match, and already he had a challenge to deal with. Adrenaline kicked in, his hand gripped the stone edge, firmly secured in between the crevice of two stones. As soon as his body stopped swinging, he'd secure the blade back into its sheath on his back, and reach up.

Now unless Sol made his way over to the disadvantaged shinobi, Yasuo would hulk his weight up and ready himself once more in as quick a fashion as possible - not that any of this could really be done quickly anyway. If all went uninterrupted, then Yasuo would have to comment on the human tanks tactic.

"Caught me off guard there," he'd say in excited surprise. "It won't happen again, unfortunately."

The shinobi then brought up his fists - puny in comparison to his opponents, but with an edge that could not be seen by the big man. Yasuo's chakra invisibly licked away around his fists, powering up to even the odds between these two very different adversaries. It was Sol's time to shine now, however, as he had put the shinobi on the immediate defensive.

[JB vs Ross_]

You let an animal out of a cage for a few minutes and they just go apeshit. Prepared for a counter assault of some sort Joseph took a sidestep of his own as he had plenty of time to figure out the knives were going to come at him since they were hanging in the air all menacingly. Clean dodge, and both went by him.

"Someone's got an opinion." Joseph spoke back and he pointed accusingly at Rhoslyn, "Pew pew pew."

The volley of three bots came flying straight on at his taunting opponent, two armed in the general torso area and the other dipped down to try a to get a legshot in. If Rhoslyn wanted to get at Joseph he was going to have to get through a hail of fire to do it. He grinned and tried to take a few more steps back wards, he wanted to prolong the time it took for his slashy bitey opponent to get to him. Plus the few steps backwards were a taunt in themselves. His left hand tensed a bit, condensation appearing on the adjuster gauntlet as fingers flexed. Was he a p***y? Perhaps, but he certainly wasn't enough of an idiot to let Rhoslyn get up close without a fight.

"Why don't you come over here and say that?"

Celebrity testimonials, nothing was sacred.

The camera panned in to a standard issue interview scenario. Two people sat across from each other in fancy office chairs. A man sat in once chair wearing an expensive looking black suit, sporting navy blue hair and a set of black rimmed glasses. His legs were folded and his hands were in his lap. A woman sat in one chair, legs folded, arms and hands resting similarly. They were the very picture of formality.

There was a close up of the woman who smiled politely and said. "So, Mr. Dark, as a reputable business man and well known fighter, what has your experience with the A~E Adjuster Technology been like?"

The view switched to the blue haired man who smiled just as politely. A small header beneath his face appeared that read - "Maximos Lucillien Dark | Fighter and Caretaker of the Magician Lucillien Dark's Magic Shoppe" - And Maximos very professionally replied. "I've watched it burn it a man alive."

The camera flashed back to the woman automatically. A decision the camera man immediately regretted as the interviewer had an apalled expression on her face. Eyes wide, mouth agape. "Thats...horrible..."

In an attempt to quickly recover the moment the camera flashed back to Maximos, still smiling. "Not at all. It did a wonderfully efficient job."

She was stammering now. This was not in the script. Someone behind the scenes wished they had not decided to do this live. "I...I...dont know what to say to that Mr. Dark. Have you had any positive experiences with A ~ E Adjuster Technology?"

"Yes, I believe so." Maximos' smile brightened, he nodded repeatedly and then said. "A year ago A ~ E technology nearly killed me!"

Maximos' arms spread out wide along with his smile as if he had just revealed the most amazing impressive thing. It was the scene in the infomercial where the stain just vanished! Wow! But instead Max had amazingly and cluelessly brought the stain. Interviewers are supposed to maintain a level of calm, and not go slack jawed and stunned. This woman however did. Apparently she did not see the situation with the sort of excitement Maximos' words hinted at. "I...dont think...thats positive at all!"

"Nonsense madam. Any machine that can nearly slay a rampaging psychotic monster that effectively is surely a positive thing!"

"I...your...w-what?"

Maximos just grinned an unsettling grin and the audio faded out as the camera zoomed back as it had moments ago zoomed in. The A~E logo faded, center screen and below it was a slogan in dramatic and bright attention grabbing text.

[Sol vs Yasuo; The Sky ring]

Quote: Now unless Sol made his way over to the disadvantaged shinobi[...]

Sadly entertainment dictated that he not let his opponent rest. Were this an un-televised fight Sol probably would have gladly let his opponent regain his stance. Hell, Sol would have probably helped pull him up from the edge, but with the cameras watching they all screamed at him for one thing...

Violence.

Its not like Sol was in a rush to end this fight; the view was wonderful and the wind refreshing, especially during an activity as physically involved in fighting, but Sol not gotten to really work up a good sweat yet.

Standing just out of quick Arms reach from the edge Sol observed his Opponent Hanging from the Edge of the death match ring, now with both hands gripped onto the edge to begin to pull himself up. Sol would wait till his head was just above the edge, and able to see him, yet have his weight so distributed to make it hard fro him to do much but hang on...

It was time for a Game, a game Sol knew well because they had a version of the game installed in the A~E employee lounge. It was a game he was good at as well...

Whack-A-Shinobi

Sol still outside of arms reach lifted his right leg up and lunged forward slightly letting the sole of his combat boot and the two hundred and thirty-eight pounds of Sol himself come down directly on top of Yasuo's head, heel first. The idea being to knock him back down and force him to pull himself up all over again, a tiring escapade for anyone no matter how fit.

~STOMP~

Retracting the foot he would switch legs, bringing his left foot forward slightly to keep his center of balance as centered as possible. Sol didn't need to go very fast, in fact going fast would probably be counter productive as he would just put himself off balance and get pulled over the edge as his timing became too predictable.

~STOMP~

No, Sol would take this slow and easy (for him anyways) switching feet each time regrouping and coming down on the mans head at his own pace. Sol left his hands untouched because he was working more so on wearing the man down than outright trying to force him off. Any ruffian could stomp on someones hands, and though Sol seemed to realize the mans hands were important to do that clone thing, he figured they were quite well occupied at this point.

~STOMP~

Sol was more interested in rattling this guys brain, than forcing him off, playing with his opponent? Perhaps, but the crowd was loving it.

At that moment a ball of twitchy flashy plastic headed straight for Kains head in reply to his unspoken thought. Whether it hit or became a steaming pile of plastic rubbish in front of Kain, the invitation was clear. And probably more then a little contrasting for the serious looking man that had shown up.

Alison Harmony had thrown the gauntlet down from her lofty perch on the center ring. There was no other way to take it other then a complete demand for attention.

When Kain looked in the direction the missile had come from he would see Alison, leaning against the side provocatively, because there was no way that she could lean without being so. She held out one hand, one that wasn't clutching a pom-pom, and crooked her finger in a beckoning motion.

C'mere.

Then she pushed her glasses up her nose and smiled. It was nothing but cute which made the gesture that much more aggrivating to the big guy. But he'd walked out there all brash like, and she wasn't going to let him get comfortable for a good sulk amongst his more cheerful team-mates.

Alison was the only female on the team, a little fiesty girl amongst corporate giants. And it was time to make a name for herself and if she had to do it via Kain's face and pride then so be it. Lets get this started.

Beauty vs Beast: Miss Alison Harmony vs. Dragosani Kain.

A pom-pom to the face was attack enough for her to start out with, and wonderfully out of the blue, now it was just a matter of seeing whether Kain took the obvious bait. There was no question what she'd do if he stalled his a** getting up there.

But there was no point in having a center ring if you weren't going to use it to it's full advantage.

[Alison Vs. Kain]

The incoming frilly missile would be sent off course and wide by a flap of a wing, using lovely lovely aircurrents. You never know where they might have been. A look of annoyance streaked across the Devil's face. Is sour attitude wasn't significant to a projectile at him but to the fact of its cushy and poofyness. It was childish, much like his pouting but that was neither here nor there.

Alright. Then this is it...

He tossed his sheathed blade to his left hand, moving to the center platform to meet Alison in all her pom-pom glory. Kain knew that he was now up against members that had surpassed all before them, even the media favourite of Glacier. But, though not expecting a hulking EBRIS wannabe, did it really have to be a cheerleader? At the same time HEROES taught us that cheerleaders can be formidable opponents.

Picking up his feet into a dash, lowering his right wing across his body, peering over the top, a body check was coming in. Challenge accepted and he was going do some trampling, maybe break her glasses just 'cause he was feeling particularly irritated, just a thought.

-]Sol vs Yasuo - Skyring[-

"Oh no..."

Yasuo's eyes peered over the edge as he attempted to bring himself up, and was met with nothing but the site and feeling of a boot to the head. Sol's boot sole planted itself firmly into the shinobi's dome, successfully foiling his efforts to get back up onto the platform.

~STOMP~

"UNNG!" he would grunt at the disturbing feeling he had to endure. His senses mixed and minced with one another as he tried to get up again.

~STOMP~

The opposite boot hit its mark again, jumbling around the Shinobi's head and causing him to lose his grip in one hand. The crowd would gasp and go silent for a second before Yasuo could get his hand up there one more time. It was obvious that another blow like that was going to send the ninja flying to a certain doom below, or however long the fall to the second ring would be. Being as clever as he was, however, Yasuo had already caught onto this guys intentions, or so he believed, and thus a plan formed.

He raised his head up one more time, awaiting a third blow to the head. And when it would come...

~STO-~

"HEYA!" Sol would have a new problem on his hands.

Yasuo let go of the edge with his left hand, and instead sent it to grasp the back of the mans ankle while his right hand became a swinging point for his weight. It was clear now that the shinobi had his own intentions to send this man to the depths, and pulling Sol's leg forward, over the edge, was all that would be needed to do so.

If he went over the edge, Yasuo would finally be able to get up on the platform on recoup from the cranial onslaught the giant let loose upon Yasuo.

[Sol vs Yasuo; The Sky Ring]

Sol had been absent-mindedly humming a little tune as he stomped on the mans head. This was far too easy and though he wished he could say he 'saw it coming' it made s**t all difference really...

Quote: "HEYA!" Sol would have a new problem on his hands.

When it did finally happen though Sol's thoughts were at first focused more along the lines of:

'Oh good, he's not just roll over and let me kick the s**t out of him.'

After that point though, a bit of fight or flight instinct entered his mind and Sol focused on his options. There was nothing really to grab, and he sure as hell wasn't going to follow through with the force of the kick like if someone had grabbed his leg during a kick, no, this called for a different plan.

Sol was not so easily knocked over though, as a Savateur, and not just some regular boxer, balance was Sols friend. Though Sol had before tried to remain as far back from the edge as he could, the mans own leverage had him beat.. at least at the moment. What distance he had established before merely bought him the few extra moments he needed.

With his right leg over extended and being threatened to be pulled towards the edge, Sol decided to use an entirely untapped asset in most fights...

...to be quite literal; it was time he used his a** productively.

Or more specifically the bulk of his body.

Now simply falling back haphazardly would be a Bad Idea(tm) (in the most specific sense of the word) as he would loose traction and though it would still be harder to slide him off, the accumulated momentum would make any sort of recovery on his part difficult to say the least. That didn't mean a fall was a bad idea, simply that doing so uncontrolled wouldn't help Sol much in the way of surviving.

Sol dug his left foot into the platforms surface to temporarily slow or outfight negate the initial force of the yank, the aggressive non-slip traction on his combat boots grinding into the surface of the platform as he shifted his weight at the hips to try and stabilize him somewhat before bending his left knee to do his best Goliath impersonation onto the stage behind him.

Sol smiled the whole way down...

The controlled backwards fall would counter the force of the attempted yank towards the edge and probably pull his opponent slightly up onto the platform. Both arms spread outwards and his back pressed to the platforms surface meant Sol would never be more stable in the entire fight.

This of course brought Yasuos face inline with a good old friend of his. His left leg already bent from the controlled fall, or as he preferred to refer to it 'cocked and locked' kicked outwards with all the force expected from six-foot three-inch tall kick boxer towards the mans chin. Though Yasuo had countered Sol excellently, and was no longer simply holding on for dear life, the Kick was going to be a challenge if it hit. Such a snapping upwards kick from a heel at such close range, with so little to grab on to near the edge meant that Yasuo was not out of the fire just yet.

32The Crossed Fox

-]Sol vs Yasuo - Skyring[-

Yes, the plan had worked. Sol's weight and momentum played against him quite well, and had even helped get him more up onto the platform some more. Dangling around in the air was starting to get a little tiresome, but necessary for continuing on to take down this Goliath of a man. The shinobi managed to get more of a hold forward with his left hand, and his right soon mimicking it on the opposite. Before he knew it, he had at least his right knee firmly planted in with his left hand bracing and balancing his weight out. Unfortunately, Sol had regained a firm hold on his bodily actions fairly quickly and had taken action against Yasuo's advance.

How?

Well with another good ol' kick of course!

The kick-boxing giant thrust forth his readied cannon of a leg for the shinobi's masked mouth. Yasuo had caught it in time to attempt to avoid it, leaning his weight to his left side. The blow glanced the side of his cheek and mask, though the end of the heel made some pretty severe (though slightly over-extended) contact to the a majority of the muscle and bone in his right shoulder. What had sucked even more was that this was where Fayble had knocked him a good one in the fight prior, with Jormungandr. He was lucky that it didn't pop out of the socket again, but it did not take away the pain he would feel shooting through it.

"Focus," he told himself in thought, gritting his teeth. "Focus and take advantage." Self-motivation fueled his resolve to act against Sol, and another plan forged itself within his mind.

Yasuo's hands now shifted from the stone to Sol's pant legs, seeing as those would prove to be a little more stable... he hoped. The shinobi would pull up his other leg finally, and immediately get on the offensive.

His chakra ignited in his hands, its overwhelming power not visible to the common eye. His right hand went into the air, balled into a fist, while his left gripped the mans pants still. The shinobi would also pull himself forward, in order to keep from falling back again.

"EAT IT!" He yelled before bringing the fist down in a hammering motion with the rest of his body. The shinobi, using his enhanced strength technique, would aim the slam into the mans gut so that his immediate power buildup would explode outwards in a tremendous display of kinetic energy. Once it would make contact, assuming it did, Sol would figure that this wasn't an ordinary punch at all - but rather a breath-taking display of inner strength, literally.

[Alison Vs. Kain]

Alison took a moment to adjust her position, ready, by all accounts, to meet her opponent head on, with one foot leading out and the other braced behind her.

She'd judge the other man's speed, and was happy that there was a not of caution in his advance, but the way he was coming in still spoke of a person that had greatly underestimated the small blond he was about to run over like a mac truck.

It was the second pom-pom that would lead to Kain's first downfall, because while, like the first, it headed towards him, this one had all the power of a metal halberd that expanded at the push of a button behind it. And she pushed it with just enough time to spare. Alison had spent one of the entire day's off attaching little strips of plastic to the blade with sticky tape, hoping for a bit of a surprise.

So when Kain met pom-pom, the six inch spike exploded like an orange firecracker against his side, in a bright display of cheap fabric and time wasted. It had taken a LOT of streamers to hide the metal. And now, they were raining down on the competitors like a ticker tape parade.

Not wasting a nasty wake up call for the grumpy person who'd just looked intent on breaking every bone in her body, she stepped to the left and let momentum carry him further from his target to the other side of the ring, depressing the rotating shaft so it was once again held in two hands.

To recap: Alison just tried to give Kain a nasty, vicious poke to his side by means of pom-pom Halberd, looking to throw his bull-like course off from running her over and making herself more of a threat. If all goes smoothly, she moves to the left.

[Sol vs Yasuo; The Sky Ring]

Sol was impressed by Yasuo's climbing ability and perhaps this might just be the one time Sol regretted wearing suspenders, as his pants remained firmly in place as Yasuo climbed his way up Sol's reinforced pants. The man was quick too, mere moments after getting a square kick to his shoulder he had reached Sols thigh.

Not quite what Sol had been aiming for but it worked well enough.

What didn't quite work out from Sol was that Yasuo obviously still had some fight in him. Seeing his opponent raise his fist Sol knew something wicked was coming and he really wasn't positioned well enough to stop it, at this point it was all going to be about damage mitigation.

Sol pulled both of his feet back towards him. Raising his knees slightly off the platform and lifting Yasuo as his opponent began to bring his hands down to slam into Sols stomach. At the same instant he exhaled as sharply as he could, forcing the air out of his lungs so as to give him as quick of a recovery as possible. The fact that Yasuo had not be able to put the full force into the swing itself helped but...

... this was still going to suck.

The impact that landed a second later left Sol spinning. Though he'd done all he could to reduce the effect, the kinetic blast seemed to force every molecule of air out of his chest. Sols brain felt like it was going to explode by the blood in his chest forcing its way into his brain. Not that, that was really happening, but it sure felt like it in he seconds following the strike.

Air returned to him quickly though, his body reactively inhaling as his lungs re-expanded. The influx of oxygen was followed with a rage he'd felt far too many times this tournament. It was not quite as bad as what he had felt against that animal Nikolai, nor as personal as he'd felt against Izette, but it was there none the less.

With Yasuo still laying on top of him and probably surprisingly soon after the hit Yasuo would have his own issues to contend with now. Raised slightly off of Sols body, it was now Sols turn. His two arms which had been laying wide out to either side of his body would come together with a deafening crash and god willing a crunch as Sols two boulders of hands would come crashing together into either side of Yasuo's temples.

He would not release the mans head however, the two fists crashing into and holding, while he squeezed the smaller mans head in a vice grip as Sol spoke. His voice was quiet and raspy, and though Sol didn't know if the man could hear him at all it needed to be said.

"We need to get up, the crowd cant see s**t like this..."

Rage or not, there was a show to do.

Sol then shoved the mans head to the side and rolled his body slightly to force the man off of him. Both of them firmly on the platform now and Sol continued the half roll and got his hands and feet underneath him before getting to his feet. If Yasuo was able to shrug off the former head injuries quick enough he could probably get to Sol while he was getting up or still down, but if no,t Sol would get into position and wait for Yasuo to regroup.

"Lets do this..."

Sol smiled and grit his teeth, now they would do this right, none of this jumping s**t.

And now a word from our sponsors...

The screen went black for a moment as a loud beep was quickly heard. Within seconds the screen was filled with the image of a large black chalk board like item in a wobbly fashion. The screen was almost grainy as it attempted to focus on the small black font.

“Marker. Take one! Action!” A voice boomed out in response and moved out of the way. The scene was simple, it was an alleyway. There was large amounts of graffiti everywhere against the brick cobblestone. Fanning out along the way a woman stood against it. She seemed to be using it as almost a support as a long cylinder rested between her fingers. Many HoH fans would have recognized her almost instantly as her short black hair was practically still on her head. It was none other than the dame Izette Prechtl.

As the screen quickly caught sight of her, it slowly zoomed into her face which only caused a gentle smile to fill her face. The camera almost sat practically intently as they waited for the worlds to flow out of her mouth. This was it, it seemed the camera men were ready to hear how A~E technologies had changed her life.

Without anymore hesitation, the punker opened her lips to form words.

“...I forgot my lines.”

~

BEEP!

“Marker! Take 150314. ACTION!” The camera man’s voice almost sounded tiresome as he quickly clicked the black bars together. How many times can one repeat the same ad over and over again?

Again, the similar scene played out again, and this time Izette seemed ready. This was time to prove to everybody that she was nothing more than a store. With the same smile on her face, the punker began to prepare for her speech. It almost seemed long and well thought out as the smoke from her cigarette slowly made its way up on the side of the screen.

It was time.

“****** YOU NIPPLES! I ****** HATE YOU! IF I EVER SEE YOU AGAIN I WIL-“ Before she could continue her take the camera jostled around and was nothing but a blur. The sound of physical violence could be heard for a moment before the screen was quickly replaced with one image. A singular beep sound filled the screen with the following message beneath it.

[I somehow missed this post. FFFFFFFUUUU-]

A little hard to hit a moving target by firing straight at him. Rhoslyn had not stopped moving sideways, so they'd zoom right past. Even if Joseph had intended to track Rhoslyn and his movements, which was a pretty logical assumption - albeit not explicitly spelled out - he would once again add one plus one two make two, and would suddenly juke hard left. Either way you cut it, JB would need to be faster on the draw and shorter on the showboat to manage to hit Rhoslyn from this distance.

The flame in his hand grew to baseball size. His grip even seemed like a good ol' fashioned baseball grip as shiny orange-red flames licked across his fingers. His arm moved back as he moved.

Quote: If Rhoslyn wanted to get at Joseph he was going to have to get through a hail of fire to do it.

...or would he?

Quote: Joseph took a sidestep of his own as he had plenty of time to figure out the knives were going to come at him since they were hanging in the air all menacingly. Clean dodge, and both went by him.

And then promptly flipped around and went backwards, pointy end facing JB Since Rhoslyn couldn't see past JB and couldn't spare the juice to TK-tacticle-touch to spy out his favorite one-shot stop, the knife duo would aim for the small of the back, roughly just to the sides of the spine - maybe an inch to the side, two at most. As far as timing?

Quote: He grinned and tried to take a few more steps back wards...

Oh... that was gonna hurt and make the starting skewer a bit deeper. He'd keep pulling them back to him, aiming to keep the six inches of steel in Joseph's back. They'd sink in about an inch per second, as usual.

Rhoslyn quit his moving, and threw the flaming fastball right at JB, aimed for the middle of the chest. From what he could guess, it was somewhere above 450 degrees, somewhere below 800. Either way, if it hit, JB would notice his clothes on fire on the spot it hit, as well as the "splashed" fire. He'd also end up with a pretty wicked burn, too. Most importantly, however, was the fact that throwing the fireball would probably distract JB from the rear-end attack.

37Aduven Kroww

The screen flickered, a solemn voice announced a brief interruption in feeds. The screen went black and bold lettering appeared.

Bandwagon Productions proudly presents this brief interview…

The view that appeared next was of a bar, one of perhaps thousands found around Gaia in every nook and cranny. Viewers would be saddened to find out that this bar was not, in fact, the Firebrand Tavern. A man walked on-screen, brown-eyed, dirty blonde, piercings in the left and right ear. He cleared his throat and ran a hand through his hair before looking beyond the camera. "So I just…yeah? Those lines there? Can't I just-" He was interrupted by a voice from off-screen, "Sir, red light’s on. We're filming."

"Oh…well fu--"

Beep!

The screen immediately cut back to Connor. Someone seemed to have attempted to comb his hair.

"Hi. I’m Connor. You may know me from Round One of Heaven or Hell 2010, where Team Awesome faced off with Team Never Knows Best." The screen changed to a poorly illustrated picture of a clocktower with small stick figures (representing the various members of each team) placed in certain areas of the tower.

From off-screen: "How did that--" Another joined it, cutting it off abruptly. "Don’t worry, keep going."

"I'm here today to talk to you, the viewers, about A~E's Adjuster Technology. The technology emulates many of the classical elements with surprising accuracy." Here a series of images replaced Connor's face, accompanied by a cheery voice reading out the words on the screen:

Hit harder with the new Excellent Earth function! The power of the earth grants you superhuman strength![b]Warning: A~E is not responsible for the irresponsible actions of their consumers. Excellent Earth boosts your strength, not your toughness. Pick your fights carefully and enjoy!

The image was of a man wearing the Adjuster tech, gauntlets over his hands vibrating. A series of slides showed him punching several foes accompanied by comical textboxes proclaiming Biff! Wham! Whud! with every hit.

Beep!

With the Illuminating Light function you no longer need fear that mean old grue! You may not shoot lasers from your eyes like Mecha-Godzilla, but with the power of pew pew lazers at the tips of your fingers (literally!) you can almost pretend you did! Warning: It is recommended that your hands be kept away from your face when active. A~E is not responsible for any nasal injuries that may occur.

The ad here displayed a modern gunslinger, his finger smoking and several K.O.d (represented by X’s for eyes) figures surrounding him.

Beep!

With the Fabulous Fire function, entertain yourself for hours as you spray fire and brimstone upon your enemies! Combat your foes at long range with blazing napalm! The picture was of a man standing triumphant and behind him, several flaming figures. A warning flashed on screen: A tavern in flames with the words Use responsibly! superimposed over the A~E logo.

Beep!

The video cut back to the bar. Connor was onscreen, but apparently someone hadn't cued him or the man trying to (unsuccessfully) tame his hair that the red light was on. In the background a few people were getting rowdy. Fire burst to life in one’s palm, a vampire abruptly leapt into the rafters (taking his drink with him), weapons slipped out of sleeves. A representative could be seen trying to get them all to calm down when a metal fist struck him down. An A~E 'bot arrived on the scene. The camera was suddenly obscured by the attendant's hand.

Beep!

Connor was back, but behind him it was chaos. Bottles shattered and bodies were thrown every which way. Yet Connor was still trying to speak, though you couldn’t hear him over the din. A moment later it didn’t matter as something tackled him off-screen and the camera jerked. "What-Hey…hey! Not the--!!" The camera suddenly shifted and the screen went wild, spinning crazily. A moment later it hit the ground, still filming. The last image shown before the screen went black and credits rolled was the A~E ‘Bot, smashing the camera tripod into someone’s face.

Kain felt the sharp sting of his flesh being seperated by the sheet of metal cutting through his wing, in reaction his body jerked. The blade sliced across his side, leaving a nasty cut lining around waist, were it not for his body's jerk counter clockwise rotation he'd be having a short fight. It was good one and immediately his blood would flow.

First blood drawn by deviance, how ironic.

Alison, while trying to avoid his MAC CHARGE would be pitted against the Devil's left wing as it sailed around in his rotation, his arm bracing against the membrane of the wing to add to the force of a WING-PUNCH. It'd leave his back exposed, but she'd have a face full of wing and quite possibly an elbow cracking her across the brow. It'd be like a mega backhand to the woman, no doubt chauvinists would cheer this night, especially with Devilcharge raging back on course to topple Claire Alison.

After this Yasuo was casually rolled off to the side, in where he would mimic the opposite movement of Sol's. Distance was created, and though the recoup time was short, it was at least enough to get some bearings back.

"Aggh... I need to approach this differently." Self advice and inner monologuing was certainly a big help here, internally motivating him in another courses direction. By the time he would be able to raise himself and shake off the weariness, Sol, too, would just be getting up. It was back to square one with this fight, with no one on the upside of things really.

The shinobi drew out his blade once again, held tightly in his right hand. His left hand reached into his vest and managed to pull out his sharpened kunai. Doubly-armed, defensive and waiting, Yasuo was not going to be making the first move this time.

[JB vs Ross_]

In a way Joseph was lucky. Partially because of where his defences were the strongest. The machine, made of fairly durable components to stand up to the heat of battle, protected his forearms and his lower legs. But the often forgotten piece of the machine was what was attached to his back, meaning Rhoslyn would have to burrow through metal before he got to soft flesh. However there wouldn't be a whole lot of chance, as Joseph's plan was to use said backpack. Not to deal with the knives, Joseph probably wouldn't know about them yet, he was more concerned with that fireball which was now coming at him. A sidestep couldn't get around it, and a dive would put him at a disadvantage.

"Skate." A glow at his feet, "To the left."

The turbines on his omnidirectional propulsion device came online and combined with modification to the soles of his feet the blasts of air sent him speeding off to the side out of the path of the fastball. Now it would be at this point what happed to the knives would be up in the air. If Rhoslyn put in some armour piercing juice he could probably bury the knives in the machine, doing some damage to the air aspect of Joseph's arsenal. Otherwise they would likely roll off the polished device, and likely bite into Joseph's side, drawing blood but at the very least making him aware of them.

He however would still have some juice left in his thrusters yet.

"Forward" It seems that Joseph had decided to close the gap and raised his gun fingers at his opponent once more. It was like he was skating along the flat ground of the arena, moving with a speed that would put him into a more accurate range much quicker than he could have even recklessly running forward. Only now he was concentrating, gun at the ready and his offhand beginning to frost over.

"Pew." The first shot screamed out with a punch's power centred at Rhoslyn's torso, "Hard circling turn, pew, pew!"

Turbines changed direction again, ending the gale fast forward charge. There was a little eruption from the Never Knows Best fans as Joseph did this. He was now making his way around Rhoslyn closing the distance but still putting himself a sprint from his opponent, still moving as he fired two additional shots at his chest and then another would likely smack along his arm. Fans who played FPSes or mech combat games were eating this up, as they recognized Joseph's mid range tactic as circle strafing.

[Sol vs Yasuo; The Sky Ring]

Sol waited and watched as Yasuo took up position and drew his weapons, He intentionally wanted to see what he would be charging into and when it seemed that the man was bringing out both weapons Sol was ready to reciprocate. Sol got into his loose boxers stance again bought this time slowly brought his hands towards his chest, slipping his thumbs under the suspenders and slowly sliding them downwards pulling the suspenders away from the bare skin on his chest. His hands finally stopping at just his belt level before he let them snap harshly back against his skin.

For as much Yasuo had hoped they were back to square one, they weren't, Sol had gotten out of the first skirmish with very little lasting damage, and he was a whole lot more educated about his opponents physical capabilities. Not that Sol knew that much about the ninja really, but he knew enough to plan his next few moves ahead of time.

Sols finger tips now resting on his belt curled around the skeletonized titanium handles of two rather large boot knives though even that was a misnomer, with seven inches worth of exposed blade and Sols massive hands swallowing the grips whole, it would take a might big boot to hide these knives. Drawing them slowly in a reverse grip also known as an ice pick grip with the flats of the blade facing his enemy sols grin widened as he stretched and slid his right leg back in preparation for his charge. He imagined his opponent had all sorts of scenarios running through his head, all sorts of calculations on range and speed but sol was going to throw a big wrench into those preconceptions very very soon.

Knives in hand, in a medium guard stance Sol began to jog forward. No he was most assuredly not going to give his opponent d 'Ole!' moment by charging headlong at the man, had they more room for error, he just might, but with so little room around them to jump around he was going to do this carefully while still moving fast enough to make his approach of pressing concern to his opponent.

His right hand however broke from the guard formation and flicked outwards, the reverse grip boot knife blurring as it swung open like a balisong to reveal the rest of the thirteen inches of blade length out of seemingly nothing, the handle clicking and locking to from a handle now behind the full blade length effective doubling his reach in the blink of an eye. With sols longer arms, long stride, and height advantage Yasuos reach advantage with his katana was just about negated.

Just about that is...

Taking another step this time with his chest just outside of his opponents slash range, Sol drove the thirteen inch double edged piece of steel towards his face. Now most fighters knew their reach pretty well, and with a static weapon one could easily see a bluff that would not normally hit them... with a weapon that had changed from predictable to unpredictable in one step, it would be much harder.

Sol expected due to the proximity of the threat and the fact that Sol had not really been all that fancy thus far, he expected a deft and effective parry by the smaller man. Probably followed up with a counter attack by either the main or off hand weapon. A jump backwards or to either side would also be fairly effective, and probably a smart move considering, but since this was NOT an actually attack all those reactions would merely cover his actual actions.

Whether parried or dodged, Sol would use the mans actions to steer his body as his right hand fell away from aiming at the mans face swinging out to the side in a wide arc, the twist of his shoulders turning his hips which in turn snapped his rearward left leg up off the platform, the mans balance expertly shifting and he entered the almost iconic savate lean. The calf of the leg though was hanged back against the thigh till he reached the balance poised and his thigh stopped suddenly accelerating his foot wards and snapping it forwards in a vicious fouette or kick in french into the mans liver. The snapping procedure accelerating the foot to almost car like speed in the distance between the two men.

Unlike in many martial arts that focused on turning the whole body and following through, in the round house kick style, Sols body had already stopped rotating by the time the foot would connect making the likely hood of him over extending himself very rare. The kick be it a hit or amiss would retract slamming to the ground, the prior bluffing right hand swinging in and down towards the top of the mans head to crash the pommel and sols fist into it. If all went well Yasupo would be re familiarized with the floor of the platform, if not well he still had his left hand for a reason.

42GreenBlades

Alison vs. Kain

As Kain swung around towards her, pivoting on a rotation against the pain, all she could do was duck the large missile of a fist to the face. Unlike popular tv cheerleaders, her face wouldn't go back to the way it was supposed to if a fist hit it, and she didn't feel paticularly inclined to getting her bells rung with this big guy making big moves and lashing out so close.

There was a rush of air as Kain was left to continue his rotation and Alison came in low and hard, not against his back, but with the butt of her retracted pole-axe. Ramming it straight into his turning, undamaged soft side just below the ribs. Worse yet, her foot moved to intercept and catch a hold of a twisting, rotating ankle, yanking at the pivot point.

It would be painful and disbalancing, maybe a stumble, and at worse it would send the big guy to the floor. But even though Alison had the set up and the calm to react well and deliver the pain, Kain still had the weight on his side.

Otherwise they would likely roll off the polished device, and likely bite into Joseph's side, drawing blood but at the very least making him aware of them.

When the knives refused to sink in, Rhoslyn angled them and called one to the side he was going, the other to the opposite, hoping to cut Joseph. Given metal... it probably wouldn't cut. However, as soon as the very first knife would not meet any resistance aside from flesh - wherever in the front or side it would be - it'd sink in and twist slowly as they did, aiming to cause as bad of wounds as possible with about one and a half times the force of earlier - a little bit less than a inch and a half a second, On, in other words, from the initial contact, the blade on the right side would start trailing the tip down and to the right; the one on the left would go up and to the left.

Whichever hit first would get the majority of the power; the second would fall to the ground.

Quote: He however would still have some juice left in his thrusters yet.

"Pew." The first shot screamed out with a punch's power centred at Rhoslyn's torso, "Hard circling turn, pew, pew!"

Well, he didn't have time to get moving again, so as the bolt flew in, Rhoslyn took a deep breath and flexed his abs, already going through the start of moving. As it hit him in the gut, he snarled a little. So... this particular kind of shot wasn't too hard. Good to know. Another fireball gathered.

Quote: Turbines changed direction again, ending the gale fast forward charge. There was a little eruption from the Never Knows Best fans as Joseph did this. A thin line of blood came from the top of Rhoslyn's arm, curling around to join the fireball, causing it to flare and give off sparkles. He moved to the side and did a bob-and-weave to avoid the next shots, one going over his shoulder and the other off to the side of where the other had gone.

Either way, Rhoslyn had recognized the move and was circling in the "opposite" direction - ie, if Joseph was moving to Rhoslyn's right, he'd be circling to his own left and closer in - the distance between the two would keep closing. It wouldn't quite be melee range, but if Joseph took a few steps closer, he'd be in danger of getting shanked.

Two of the straight razors on the ground would also move through the grass, keeping real low as Joseph and them grew closer. Oh yeah, and they'd be going a little backwards, so as to keep Joseph from stepping on them early.

44The Crossed Fox

"Oh yeah, I like where this is going now."

Yasuo grinned under his green cloth mask, internally commenting on the mans own weapon. In response, the shinobi turned his grip on the Red Dragon outward, in a reverse grip with the end jutting out to his right side. His legs went to shoulders length, and his eyes locked onto that weapon Sol carried.

His head was slowly recovering from the rocking blows, but his ears among all else seemed to have suffered a pretty hard shot. The ringing continued, but at least he could hear what was going on around him.

The whine of the helicopters engines and rotors were clear enough, the wind passing by his ears roaring through his sense of hearing. There was an irritating yet small muffle that came with each of the sounds, making it a little harder to make out one thing from another. This would not, however, affect his reaction to what was to come next.

Sol Wrote:

With sols longer arms, long stride, and height advantage Yasuos reach advantage with his katana was just about negated.

The lengthened blade became a bigger worry now, seeing that the distance between each of the warrior could now be closed with the end of a blade. His eyes, however,

...would stay focused.

They watched, they waited for an opening point in his defenses. He just needed one second, one small opening to devastate the opposition.

Sol Wrote:

Now most fighters knew their reach pretty well, and with a static weapon one could easily see a bluff that would not normally hit them... with a weapon that had changed from predictable to unpredictable in one step, it would be much harder.

And there it was...

Yasuo brought his left leg forward and out to his left left side, diagonally stepping into the mans advance. He leaned his head along with the step, letting the blade cross his cheek and into his cloth mask. First blood would be drawn by Sol, having successfully - and unintentionally - left a decent surface wound on the shinobi's face. This would not matter in a moment, however, if only because of the plan of action Yasuo was about to take.

Just after the knife crossed the shinobi's face, his right arm would jut forward as his weight shifted for to his left. With the edge on the outside, this left Sol at the mercy of the sharpened edge of the Red Dragon.

"CHYA!"

Yasuo would grunt as he crossed the edge over the mans side. The downfall was that there wasn't much force behind it, so Sol would be getting away with nothing more than a surface wound for himself, maybe with a little depth, but nothing that even needed stitches.

"One,"

Yasuo then brought his right leg in the same direction as the left, and changed its position from being in front of Sol's right leg, to just behind it. Using it as a pivot point, the shinobi's left leg would then slide into the stone, his armored sandals giving his traction and support. During this pivot, Sol's momentum would continue to carry him forward - or at least stop at such a point. What was more important was that Yasuo's left hand would follow into the pivot, and cross the sharpened kunai's end over the whole section of the mans back.

"Two,"

In the final step of the shinobi's attack, he would now be facing Sol's back. His left leg behind him, and his right bracing his weight, Yasuo had one final message to give to the big man.

"Fly baby, fly...

Enhanced Strenght is Go... and so was the kick of a lifetime.

Yasuo leaned in forward, launching his left leg forth in an extreme door-kick - as if he were kicking in, well, a big a** door. His chakra focused into the bottom of the kick, which would fly for the center of the mans back; a terrible place if he had been wounded to the strike prior to this maneuver. If the kick was to make contact, Sol would be blasted forward like a ragdoll towards the opposite end of the ring - and would be lucky if he had not flown over the edge himself.

Tact over Strength, hopefully it proved successful right now...

[JB vs Ross_]

With Rhoslyn's tactic's the proper phrase for what happened to Joseph would be hoist by his own petard. The metal wouldn't cut, as his opponent would guess, and the knives slid in opposite directions. Joseph may have been saved a cut as the metal covered most of his back, and even below that there was the MetaTEC vest that helped disperse metamagical energy and provided light protection. Not enough considering the first knife would drag across Joseph's left side aided by Rhoslyn's extra force as well as Joseph's momentum. It wouldn't have the angle to sink in before JB sped forward, but rather cut a long gash along his side right through clothes the very light undervest. The side of his shirt would quickly stain red with the gash, the knife probably still floating in the air as Joseph sped away from it.

"Cut skate. Come on, you can do better than a little papercut!" Joseph spoke with a determination and a wide grin as the air boosters cut out and so did the glow on his feet. He was sprinting rather than skating now, using the momentum to keep the circle going as his opponent did quite the same. Keeping that gun trained on him but waiting for a better shot, Joseph tried to stay out of what was very aptly called shanking range. Good thing too, as Rhoslyn got closer then so did the apparent threat of that sparking fireball. However Joseph was now well into the effective range of his weapons and his own ability to aim.

"Kablam! Kablam!" Joseph's fist shot took account for his opponents movement and would go right for the difficult target of Rhoslyn's head. Hoping to scramble his opponents concentration a little, or at the very least provoke a reaction from that fireball the second shot for the easier target of Rhoslyn's shoulder of whatever arm looked attached to that fireball. It should be noted that these were also level two blasts, a bit more powerful than the hard punches of the earlier shots. They could come out larger, brighter and faster. Imparted with a bit of destructive energy that could tear, rend and leave an energy burn.

"Give em a show Rhosy!" Joseph called out, perhaps a bit of psychosis left over from the last round. The crowd however seemed to eat it up.

46The Black Sand Mule

Shattered Steel fans, off in their section, were currently being treated to the sight of Aña, wearing an impractically fancy dress - starting from just above the ground, it looked rather like someone had made silk look like fire. It was strapless and covered in small garnets, rubies, and diamonds. Given the faerie nature to bishie-sparkle randomly and frequently, she was giving some of the fans within ten yards of her lens flare. She was staring at Kain, with a big slasher smile on her face. With a simple flick of her wand, she conjured a white sign with big pink letters reading "GO KAIN".

Beside her sat Cal, who had pretty much just dressed in faded blue jeans and a red T-shirt with the Shattered Steel sword emblem. Although she had the SHINY going too and was flaunting her natural-blue hair, she wasn't trying to show off as much. With Wesley in her lap (who was ignoring the event completely, just looking around at all the people) she watched the fight on the ground, sometimes pausing to look up at a monitor to see the SKYFIGHT.

The crowd was loud, but not loud enough, she reflected. With a smile, she picked up Wesley and put him in the seat next to her.

"Okay, plug your ears like I showed you!"

She grinned at him when the boy did, and gave him a quick scratch on the head before standing up, turning around, and letting out a shout.

"OY!"

The entire section and the ones around hers turned to look at Cal, surprised.

"I SAY SHATTERED, YOU SAY STEEL! SHATTERED!"

As she spoke, people to about ten to twelve deep away from her felt a sudden rush of giddiness and spirit. So, when the girl shouted out the start of it and stomped HARD on the stadium, the entire section stood up and called back!

"STEEEL!"

"SHATTERED!"

"STEEL!"

More and more people got into it. It seemed that there was part of the audience that supported the team they were shouting out for.

[Sol vs Yasuo; The Sky Ring]

Wow this guys must have had cold steel for blood, facing down a blade to the face without so much as a distraction, just wow. This was the finals however and Sol could kind of understand that the tactics that might have worked earlier in the tournament would be less then successful against an opponent who like him had overcome many other opponents.

The slight nick that the knife achieved on his opponents was actually more frustrating to Sol than if it had hit nothing as it meant Yasuo had closed enough to get hit by the blade and now he logically was equally vulnerable.

The kick hitting nothing but air, it quickly retreated to find its place now slightly forward of the right Sol was about as balanced as he could get considering. The sting of the red dragon bit into his side a paper thin line of red grew and then bled, tiny rivulets of sols warn blood flowed down his side. Sol had been expecting the cut since he'd seen his own blade cut into the mans cheek, but they both seemed to have avoided any major damage, so for the moment they simply bled together.

Quote: "One,"

Yasuo had now moved in close attempting to move around Sols body as if it were some ivory column, but Sol was not an Ivory tower, the former rugby player had absolutely no issue with this kind of closeness and he was about to prove it to the man.

Sols right arm, having gone wide out from the feint of the last attack snapped back as Yasuo attempted to maneuver under his arm. The massive anaconda of muscles that was Sol's right arm returned to him as he grabbed at Yasuos shoulders (being harder to pull out of the way than the nimble mans head) in order to pin the mans arms to his side and pull him in and down slightly for the man hug of a lifetime before he could wrap his leg around Sols.

His strength would be crushing, and the change in angle would be destabilizing were Sol not holding him up. This was more a means to an end than any true attempt at hurting the man. His left fist cocked back, his knuckles barred, the blade tuned sideways as Sol lined up for a devastating attack. The man Pinned, there would be little he could do to prevent the oncoming attack as Sol Drew back his fist and slammed it into the mans head... though Yasuo would realize something immediately.

The hit didn't really hurt.

Oh sure in a way it would hurt a bit, but if Yasuo was expecting some kind of major impact he'd be deftly surprised. The fist stayed in contact with the mans skull, knuckles pushing into the scalp slowly as Sols grin grew.

"ULTIMATE ATTACK PATTERN OMEGA OVERDRIVE!"

Oh no, Sol had shouted out an attack name, this must mean there would be no escape for the ninja, obviously Sols next attack would be far more powerful. Its time to send the kids to bed now viewers, obviously the horrors that follow will be too graphic for the younger ones. Some of the crowd must have realized this as hundreds of mothers and fathers covered their Children's eyes expecting Sol to fire some pulse of magic or something through his fist and in to Yasuos head splitting it like a ripe melon...

...But that attack never came, instead Sol took a deep breath before adding the actual name of the attack.

"NOOGIE ATTACK POWER GO!"

Sol's fist rotated back and forth driving his knuckles into Yasuos head, and considering Sols size and strength, yeah it probably hurt like hell. Friction after all sucked, But would it do much but mess up Yasuo's Hair?

Doubtful.

"Noogieoogienoogienoogie~"

He was enjoying this, probably a bit too much, but he knew he couldn't hold onto Yasuo forever, there was a fight to get to after all. Sol gave one last good twist before shoving Yasuo forward with both hands and letting him drop to the platform, back up or recover from the attack.

Sure during all that Yasuo could probably have scratched the hell out of him with his weapons but if his arms had truly been pinned any leverage he might have gotten would have been pathetic.

Sol took a step back towards the center of the ring and Smiled gently at his opponent, the crowd below was probably either in a state of stunned silence or laughing their asses off. If anyone thought Sol took everything too seriously, they had obviously missed out on who the true Sol really was.

((My sincere apologies Fox, absolutely crashed before finishing this post last night.))

STRIKER

[ JB vs Rhos ]

"Duty calls."

With a sigh, Canaan pressed the button on his fighter indicating that his striker was 'armed.'

The captain of Shattered Steel stood up, cold steely eyes focused on Joseph, the technowarrior that was giving his teammate such a rough time by scurrying around the field. Though Canaan wasn't tech-savvy, he did know that his powers had a highly adverse effect when coming into contact with electronics.

Electricity crackled down his right arm, wrapping around it and forming into a thick clawed blue gauntlet that gleamed lethality. Stepping forward onto the field to activate the timer and cocking his right arm back, Canaan generated a long-javelin like energy bolt. 'Locking' onto target, he leaned forward and slung his arm around in a vertical arch, rotating his hips fully into the throw.

The shining blue energy streaked around in a curve, aiming to strike JB in the upper part of the knee of his whichever leg happened to be in the way at during the time he was shooting his hand-lasers at Ross. Despite it's form, this attack did not pierce into the target, the lance like shape was merely to add speed when it was thrown.

On contact it would violently explode and send painful jolts of electricity down his opponents legs, likely frying whatever electronics or tech he had equipped to those areas(assuming they weren't insulated really, really well) and causing painful burns. It wouldn't run upwards, instead immediately retreating down into the ground beneath the techwarriors foot.

For a finishing touch, Canaan formed another, smaller fireball in his hand and threw it like a softball towards lower right side. This, he expected, wouldn't even garner annoyance, but it did help to expend a bit of the frustration that Canaan was feeling over the fact that his wife was laying in a hospital bed and he was forced to be here.

With a forced grunt, Canaan would step back into the dug-out beneath the stands and close his eyes. Whatever happened after this point would be entirely up to Rhoslyn.

50Dragosani Kain

Alison Vs. Kain

Alison would find it much more difficult her movements as Kain would be crashing over top her, his elbow, hidden behind his WINGSLAP meant nothing but air. His wing too fell short of his mark, that she was able to crouch low and attempt to use the back of the halberd and then go for a ankle twist. The Devil would instead be tripped up and over Alisons shoulders sending him falling onto his back, his right wing opening up to fall over his opponent, making sure some of blood of his gauge smear across her chest, and moving to cover her face to smother and blind the fierce cheerleader.

...I have no thoughts for you. Take what you want from this, unless you have a reason to fight, you're just a tool.

Kain's tail flew into action aiming to pierce into the left shoulder he had been knocked over, right into the meat of her tricep. It'd be like a swift stab of a dagger, moving to root itself deep to get to the really fun stuff like the marrow of her bones. It'd be a surprise attack and he wasn't holding back his arsenal.

It'd provide a little protection - slowed slightly by the meta-dispersal vest, it would provide Joseph the time to let more or less all of the above actions work. However, there was one flaw with the plan idea - specifically, the bolded part. Specifically, it wouldn't happen. With a minor adjustment to the TK field to focus it on the handle, the knife shot forward, this time going up higher - the goal was to slice from the back of the neck on the left side to halfway around, then to sink straight down in the area between the trapezoid and collarbone - as far as Rhoslyn knew, this hadn't actually killed anyone else he'd done it to.

If it met resistance in the form of metal for the stab, it'd instead slide down and go for the nearest gap in the ribs. The straight razors waited behind the man, laying mostly inert on the ground but still with Rhoslyn's TK ready to put them back into use.

Quote: "Cut skate. Come on, you can do better than a little papercut!" Joseph spoke with a determination and a wide grin as the air boosters cut out and so did the glow on his feet. Rhoslyn's expression didn't change a whit. It was PAIN TIME.

(no, dad, no!)

Quote: Joseph's first shot took account for his opponents movement and would go right for the difficult target of Rhoslyn's head. Hoping to scramble his opponents concentration a little, or at the very least provoke a reaction from that fireball the second shot for the easier target of Rhoslyn's shoulder of whatever arm looked attached to that fireball. Yeah, that'd provoke a reaction. Rhoslyn figured that as range decreased, power would increase; it was best to not test that hypothesis with his face. Rhoslyn liked his face; it was pretty, even by fey standards. So, as the first shot was pointed right for his face, Rhoslyn lowered his center of gravity and tilted his head sideways, feeling a few sparks crackle across his face and smelling his hair burning. Too close.

The second shot fared better, managing to hit the upper right side of his right shoulder at the same time as him thrusting his right arm out and up. With the smooth black leather being blown off by the force of the shot, Rhoslyn could feel his shoulder shrieking in protest at the skin being practically vaporized off, blood flowing down his shoulder. He wouldn't be able to get his arm up fast enough due to the surprise, but he'd get it high enough: the hand and fireball were aimed up and a little bit past JB's upper chest and lower face area.

FWOOOSH!

Instead of the fireball that'd came before, a torrent of intense flames erupted from Rhoslyn's hand - unlike the fireball from earlier, this was at least six to eight hundred degrees - and spewed violently towards the cyberwarrior. At this range and with Canaan's attack coming in, dodging the sudden FLAMETHROWER was not very likely. Rhoslyn would, of course, adjust his aim for any motions, and would keep the fire going until otherwise noted - basically, until he ran out of power or RAEG.

He'd also start the series of motions needed to close the gap and get in knife-fighting range, but wouldn't have the time to shift momentum and close in this short of a time period.

In the bottom of TV viewer's screens, and the big jumbotron, there came a face....

and a voice...

"TOASTY!"

[JB vs Ross_]

Ah yes, pain time. It seemed no matter how much Joseph shot at, sped away from, or circled around, he couldn't get away from the persistence of that damn knife. It would start it's cut drawing a blood dripping line but not before Joseph reached back to yank at the handle, this of course would mean there was no longer a gun finger pointed at Rhos. Then came that wonderful feeling from Canaan, which instantly brought back pleasant memories from the clocktower where this had happened before. If Joseph known he would have been hit by lighting this much (fair enough, one time was warp lightening) he would have brought a weather vane. Just like when Connor tried it this electricity would have the same outcome: Grounding and high end surge protectors kept the delicate machinery in tact, but there was still the lack of protection for Joseph himself. The burns, the pain, the wobble in his legs would all be there. He needed support.

"Grip." That was it. His boots, still functioning, emitted an energy out of their souls that increased his footing by a good deal. Then Joseph had to make a split second decision on what to do about that there fire he had no time to dodge. "Backward, up high."

Ask a firefighter what their worst enemy is during a forest fire. Water helps them put it our, the earth could prevent spread, and given enough time the fire would burn itself out. No, the firefighter's worst enemy was the wind, and Rhoslyn was about to share that with them. The omnidirectional propulsion device was made to use the wind to travel, however thanks to the grip boots and his braced positioning no travelling would be done. Instead the two turbines that had risen up to send Joseph backwards, would instead be shooting very strong jets of air right at the incoming flamethrower. Unfortunately it did take time for the turbines to move and the fans to reverse, and Rhosylin was damn close. The flames licked up his chest, the strength of the attack tearing through the MetaTEC vest, severely weakening it and causing burns just under. The prime damage was on his neck and chin, quickly bubbling the flesh and turning it a hard sore red drawing out the remaining wounds from Damnatus' earlier attack. Every word Joseph spoke from here one would cause pain, but he could take some satisfaction in the jets of air taking the flames. These Storm Eagle tactics could have one of two results when they intercepted the flames: The likely outcome would be they would disperse the flame, or keep it in a DBZ style beam battle back and forth ultimately keeping the flame away from JB. As for fanning the flames, these wasn't a light bellows breeze to heat the coals, this was a windstorm meant to change direction. However the turbines were designed to push a grown a** man through the air, and it would take a good deal to keep their strength at bay, there was a chance that the wind would overcome the fire and blow it right back at Rhoslyn, and effort would be needed to prevent that. After all, those machines meant business and in the battle of man versus machine John Henry hammered himself to death.

"Release grip." Either way Joseph let up on the grip, causing him to take large steps backwards with the assistance of the last bit of the turbine burst, clearing the flames just as Canaan's fireball hit his side. As Canaan expected, little more than a distraction as clothes singed away and revealed the MetaTEC vest that absorbed most of the heat.

Cleared from shaking range Joseph would take a deep breath and stare down his opponent, hopefully fulling wresting the knife away from his neck and to his side.

Alison Vs. Kain

Well...that was unexpected. Kain managed to pull himself back into her, and like a logger that expects a tree to fall in the opposite direction suddenly see's the long shadow of fate start to eat up his view, Alison was treated to the thin membrane of a wing slung over the top of her.

Instead of panicking and launching out with every limb at her disposal, her weapon extended. She then used to momentum of the extention from 3.5 ft of metal to 6 ft to lift the cloak, up and over as hard as she could, pinning Kain to the ring floor with a sickening crunch of wing bone. Weapon once again deployed, she drove her foot into the membrane and yanked out the butt of her halberd, shifting to the buisness end with an arc of damaging blood.

She wasn't by any means dripping in the stuff, there only being a small amount of damage done to her opponent, but there was certainly enough to show in a few of the area's Kain indicated.

"I'd suggest thinking differently about that tail, bright-eyes."

The 3.5 inch spike was level with Kain's eyes, daring him to try anything funny. He wasn't there with something to prove, while Alison Harmony had a whole corporation backing her up, shoving her to the win. She had motivation, he lacked it.

"You got your order backwards. Tail then wing."

She may have been a tool, but she was a mother ******** effective tool. And she wasn't going to let any souless devil tell her otherwise.

"Yield your position."

Canaan sat on the sidelines, taking a break away from his currently depressing thoughts and focusing on the other end of the field. Where Kain was currently getting his a** completely and utterly handed to him.

//"Every move he's made was sloppy and easily undermined by that woman. I don't even sense great magic about her. For this, I am quite pleased."//

"But he's getting pounded, and she's about five or six steps ahead."

//"Exactly. Isn't it brilliant?"//

"I wouldn't say he's lost yet, though. Afterall... taking a beating is typically part of the plan."

"Hey Kain!," Canaan yelled out to his devil-ally, "how about you start fighting and stop messing around with her? I know you can do it!"

So maybe the peanut gallery wouldn't be welcome in this instance, Kain had been frustrated since the end of their elimination round. Maybe if he'd snap like he had on Sutiiven, he could start really putting the pressure on the chick.

55Dragosani Kain

Alison Vs. Kain

It was around this time that st just wasn't going well for the Devil, despite his attempts, however lame, wrought no effects. It was then, at the point he lay on his back and his wing was getting pinned that he had enough, this raging she-b*h was about to have her corporate endorsement canceled from shear fact of how damaged she'd find herself.

Goodbye, billboard shot.

Quote: Homegrown Napalm - His blood magic raises the viscosity and concentrate or internal energies on the expelled liquid, raising it's burning quality. This is Kain's complementary ability to his Blood Mine, this one Burns more than punches and is difficult to extinguish.

Immediately she would feel the corrosive burn on her chest and face where the blood had fallen when she was hefting up his wing, sometimes doing him harm was the worst thing you could do. He was the harbinger of karmatic pain and Alison was getting tits full of it. Flames would lash across her chest burning her neck, clothes, chin cheeks. Since crashing over her didn't seem to work and his ankle was not longer a target, Kain thought causing some distress was finally in order.

"how about you start fighting and stop messing around with her? I know you can do it!"

******** OFF, NOBLE.

His eyes dilated with fury, she was fast and evaded his blindsided tail attack. Well, she'd be enjoying the taste of her own flesh while Kain barrelled forward at her gut, the fire would be well enough to distract and blind the woman, his head was leveled and those horns were going to skewer her at the right hip.His sword was angled across his chest to defend against the halberd that was thought to have pinned him.

Wishful thinking, obviously she didn't know he hurt himself more than his opponents did and he tore his wing tissue against the stab. Soulless? No, just uninspired. What was she. Just another yuppy that drew no interest. Maybe, at least, he could find the pleasure in feeling her melting flesh on the back of his neck.

This was noted. The fire kept going, the moving forward kept on. The TK-force on the knife would simply vanish as JB pulled on it.

You know what? Let's go with that. For at least, a second or so anyway. Enough time for the flamethrower to meet the air, and for Rhoslyn to look right into JB's eyes - even if he couldn't see them - with an expression of almost amusement. It was sorta like a friendly "what the " than anything else, like there was a joke to the whole thing that nobody else would understand. Continue "moving forward" preparations, or possibly beginning. Likely beginning.

Quote: As for fanning the flames, these wasn't a light bellows breeze to heat the coals, this was a windstorm meant to change direction. After all, those machines meant business and in the battle of man versus machine John Henry hammered himself to death.

After the glance of just sheer amusement, Rhoslyn let off the flames, knowing it'd be overcome. This, of course, was due to the fire "splashing" back on him, causing the leather to heat up uncomfortably and the skin on his neck getting all red as he advanced. The knife floating by his right hand returned to his grip as the fey continued to close.

Quote: "Release grip." Not quite cleared yet. By now, it had occurred to Rhoslyn what could be done. Oh yes... yes yes yes. Still charging in, both knives up and raised in the same fashion as before, only with his left leading, Rhoslyn let out a war cry and kept up the sprint towards JB. No ********' way he'd let this sonofabitch get away from him now.

Although the magic wouldn't kick in for the actual attack yet, the knives grew slightly darker and his skin grew drier as the knife in his left hand (the one leading) came down and across, aimed to stab JB in the right shoulder and tear across and downward to the right as he brought his right a little more up and at a better angle to parry any retaliatory knife shots.

All over the stadium people were shouting their heads off for one team or another but there was one thing that seemed obvious enough a nearly unlimited marketing budget seemed to be working as at the moment nearly three fourths of the crowd was cheering for Alpha through Epsilon's Team. Ironically (much like having a fighter nicknamed 'nipples' who no longer had any) Team Never Knows Best apparently did, or they would not be so far into this tournament.

It was time that A~E decided to return the love.

A rather appropriate song faded in over the speakers of the stadium as the fights continued unhindered. A~E employees began handing out placards and banners to the fans that wanted them free of charge, the stadiums slowly filling with A~E slogans like 'Do the Robot' and 'The best friends money can buy.' Which though fitting for NKB itself, was actually a reference to the companies robotic companions. By the time they were through there was a variable sea of White and Black and Yellow and Black signs being held up by excited fans as they began to chant.

As if to edge on the crowd the Jumbotron which had been playing celebrity testimonials earlier and who had till recently simply been showing a rotating A~E logo at the time Suddenly began showing clips from Josephs Browns fights this year.

EN -KAY -BEE!

The guitar solo following the chorus was left to run without interruption, the jumbotron simply holding on a shot of Harmony in a bikini.

The crowd didn't seem to mind.

EN -KAY -BEE

Sols highlights then began to play as the second verse began. All the gory detailed were left in, Sex and Violence bringing the crowd to a deafening roar of stomping and chanting as Sols fight with Izette and Nikolai flashed across the screen in violent and vivid images of excessive head punching, kicking and chest stabbing.

I'm dirty, mean and mighty unclean

I'm a Wanted man

Public Enemy Number One

Understand.

The screen then cut to a silhouette of the team with an Overlay of the Teams logo before the silhouette faded out leaving the the logo the crowd was screaming by this point. The energy was palpable and alive, hell both sides probably got a kick out of it even if they didn't support NKB, the energy was simply contagious...

By the time of the second chorus and the crowd rocking out to the guitar solo hands in the air, placards waving and being shook as the crowd shouted, they had begun subconsciously changing T.N.T into N.K.B.

N.K.B. oi oi oi

N.K.B. oi oi oi

N.K.B. oi oi oi

N.K.B. oi oi oi

The crowds roar almost drowning out the song as the marketing department dropped the volume slightly leaving the crowd chanting the now altered lyrics. Fireworks firing off into the air as the song came to its dramatic conclusion.

N.K.B.

I'm Dynamite (oi oi oi)

N.K.B.

And I'll win the fight (oi oi oi)

N.K.B.

I'm a power-load (oi oi oi)

Watch me explode!

Somewhere deep inside the control booth a Marketing Director turned to the Vice President of Marketing with a wide grin. "Think they'll card us for it?"

The VP lit another cigarette and took a long drag before responding. "For excessive taunting, or for excessive use of Miss Harmony in a Bikini?"

The director simply smiled and rewound the tapes to Miss Harmony's section and watched it over again. "Either or."

"Meh, it was worth it." The VP smiled and took another long drag. "Definitely worth it."

Shanking range was somewhere Rhoslyn was more comfortable than Joseph. Rhos was faster, more accustomed to this style of fighting, and on top of that Joseph's legs were covered with burns and still ached from Canaan's earlier attack. Even with the boost he had from the turbines Rhoslyn was right back on top of him, Joseph tried to roll his shoulder back out of the way but he could feel the bite and tear of the knife in his shoulder. His grip loosening on the knife before he regained it, the injuries from Vahn's gauntlet resonating through his right arm. He tried to retaliate, fighting through the pain, knife in a reversed grip (Joseph didn't know any better), and tried to slash into Rhosyln's leading side.

However that wouldn't be Joseph's primary attack. Joseph's advantage was the Rhoslyn brought a knife to a gunfight. Joseph's left fist clenched, fully frosted over by now, and thrust it forward. Joseph's gear was designed to instate magic, and this attack would be from the camp of fighters like Miranda.

"Ice." Joseph went for the easiest thing to say, his jaw aching from the burn. From the vents just behind his fist came a shotgun style blast of sharp high velocity ice spikes, looking to pepper Rhoslyn's chest and right arm with Joseph's own brand of close range pain. The worst bit though was that Joseph had charged the weapon to its full potential by delaying it for so long. Not only would the smaller spikes be at their peak, they would be assisted by a long five inch ice spike, well frozen and tough, that would rocket towards the fae's chest. If Rhoslyn wanted to close the distance he'd have to weather the storm of pain and force pushing him back.

Joseph had no reason to taunt now, not with the crowd in their own battle of fans versus fans. Instead he just continued to grin like a maniac as his opponent dug into his shoulder and hopefully his own blast justified letting Rhoslyn get in so close.

His grip loosening on the knife before he regained it, the injuries from Vahn's gauntlet resonating through his right arm. He tried to retaliate, fighting through the pain, knife in a reversed grip (Joseph didn't know any better), and tried to slash into Rhosyln's leading side.

Well, seeing as how Rhoslyn was wielding his knife the same way, he was not going to complain about JB's technique of holding it. However, he wasn't watching the knife as hard as he was JB's face, and when the knife came for his left arm, his thoughts weren't "gee, he holds a knife like I do" but "oh, hey, there is a knife coming for me" So, he had a few options. Anyway, as had been suggested by the death magic coming up as the strike came in, the latter half (maybe third, he couldn't care less) of the knife sink'n'slash would look a lot nastier, the flesh going green and such.

As far as what to do with the knife? His right hand was still up and ready - with a twist of his hand so the knife wouldn't accidentally go through JB's face, he threw a straight punch for the nose, hoping to break it through the force of the death magic and the speed of the blow. Normally it wouldn't have a chance to cause a break, but with the magic, there were pretty good odds in favor of it.

Actually, this wouldn't do ******** to stop the knife. Instead of sinking into his side, though, the motions of Rhoslyn's movement would cause the slash to go from the middle of his bicep and down, leaving a pretty nasty wound and forcing him to drop the knife in his left from the sudden flare of pain.

Quote: However that wouldn't be Joseph's primary attack. Joseph's advantage was the Rhoslyn brought a knife to a gunfight. "Ice." Joseph went for the easiest thing to say, his jaw aching from the burn.

Here's where he would have some problems. As soon as he opened his mouth, he would feel, more or less, a hand grabbing him by the tongue, which was trying to both keep it from moving and pull it right out the back of his throat. Obviously, he wasn't TK-strong enough to actually rip it out, but still, there was just about all of his force trying to yank the man's tongue out.

This would obviously present obstacles to speaking.

And about as soon as tongue cleared teeth on the way out, the pressure would abate, and Joseph would get a telekinetic b***h-slap under the jaw, with the express intent of having him bite the tip of his tongue off. It probably wouldn't happen like that, but there was more than enough force in it to at least force some drawing of the blood.

If it did? Rhoslyn would take it, feeling a big bruise come on from the big ol' ice spike, a bit of air rushing out from him as shards of ice cut through the leather, leaving shallow but bloody and painful furrows all down his right arm from the elbow. It was starting to feel heavy, and he knew he wouldn't be able to raise his arm much beyond a 45-degree angle.

Regardless, he'd reach out with his free left to try to grab hold of Joseph's right arm at about just below the elbow, forcing the negative energy into the arm. If it was organic... well, he'd start to lose control of the arm. Mechanical? Definite loss of control. Insulation could not stop decay.

"Ische" Was about what it came out after Joseph bit into his tongue, copper taste filling his mouth but the tip remaining attached. Lucky for Joseph the parser was designed to understand Joseph specificly, and as slurred speech was not a far off contingency the attack would still go off. "Schone ov a bitsche."

Joseph's swearing would double up as a pang of pain considering how much st was going down at once. 'Son of a' was emphasized by his skin being to peel back around the slash, tips going black as blood retreated from the necrotized flesh and the wound oozed. The 'b*h' would be emphasized by Rhoslyn's fist impacting Josephs nose crushing and sending a bit of blood out of a nostril. Joseph's voice now had 'nasal' added to 'slurred', the parser would be fine but dammed if Joseph was intimidating at all right now.

Joseph's reaction the the arm grab was immedate even with the punch, as after that slash he knew the effects of Rhoslyn's death magic. His left hand went to grab his right arm along the armour, looking like he was putting a blocking arm between him and his opponent and yank his failing arm away. However, assuming the magic was a slow creep he would be able to move his fingers into the finger gun, a loose grip of two fingers still tenuously holding the knife. His yank had positioned two fingers right below Rhoslyn's right elbow, still extended from the punch to the face. What came next would be a surprise, as rather than speak Joseph hit a button on the adjuster gauntlet, which would in turn release a level two blast into Rhoslyn's elbow. Considering the close range and the surprise this would not be pleasant for for Rhos at all.

Depending on reaction Joseph would yank his arm down and hit the button again, sending a second flash of light up at Rhos' chin, the old laser uppercut trick. Finally, if Rhos' grip was where he thought it would be, he tightend his fingers around the knife once more and using his gripping left hand and and whatever strength was left in his right to stab the knife downwards at the forearm that was gripping him by the elbow.

"Swichhe offsh libght." He spat blood at the fae as he spoke.

Alison Vs. Kain

Pain started to lace it's way like connect the dots up her neck and face, making her catch her breath, hands tightening their grip against the weapon in her hands. Yes, Alison was human, and the damage was starting to show, first with slow, aching blisters and then viciously red, angry skin in a swirl of colour down the right side of her face that shone with the liquid her skin was desperately trying to protect itself with.

She'd almost certainly not hit an artery, so at best, it wasn't a great coverage, but since he seemed so intently focused on her chest, the fabric started to eat away, and as if she were some kind of secret super hero with their costume underneath, he'd be able to see the silver of a certain brand, implanted onto black material:

Quote:

One A~E MetaTEC Sports Bra -

Alison has seen what goes on at these kinds of events, and has outfitted herself with the latest in anti-bra removal, donated generously from the A~E team. Anime-gravity support included in the cups, fighters will be astounded at the agility this item can afford todays modern female fighter. While the rest of her clothing is inevitably ash on the floor, this will hold her in with modesty and finesse. Comes in a subtle noir.

One A~E MetaTEC Armor Corset -

A revamp of the MetaTEC vest for feminine curves. Form fitting and laced up the back in the same material, it has four panels that support, but also shift for easy movement. This protects Alison's midsection, and works in flattering combination with the bra. The suit is little defence against the heavier forms of battle, but gives her more protection against the standard Gaian magical crowd.

Joseph Brown knew inherantly where the camera's would zoom, and where the focus would be whenever Harmony was teasing the masses, so he'd put his brand right where the money shot was. So what Kain had effectively done is piss her the hell off.

While the horns coming in her direction were very much a hefty worry for Alison, the blood would find little staying power against the ebony armour that she wore.

She had to think quickly, not because Kain was trying to raise himself, but to stop him from impaling his forehead against the halberd spike. Once again the weapon retracted, during which the gross laboured process of pulling his own wing out from under her foot continued onwards. Cartilidge and sinews snapped and twisted violently. There was only one thing she could do.

Both of her hands gripped the metal shaft and she yanked the halberd up and back, blades out flat. Then a vicious twist back and then around, like a golfer teeing off, she upper cutted Kain's horns, missing his face and forcefully changing his point of view to the Sky Ring.

CLANG!

It was almost graceful, but for the searing pain making her eyes water and her breathing quicker and hitched.

With contact the axe of the weapon would arch gracefully back on it's circut. Then the halberd would snap back to it's six foot length and the butt of the weapon would slam forcefully down into Kain's shoulder, driving him back to the mat. Behind her glasses pain and anger burned deep down. Kain was, in her eyes, just a large and arrogant bully, and there was only one place for a being like that.

"YIELD."

Ahem... wrong quote.

Sol Wrote:

"NOOGIE ATTACK POWER GO!"

Sol had pretty much countered Yasuo's counter, which was NOT COOL! Still, it put the shinobi in one hell of a predicament, especially when the friction of those overly-large man-knuckles rubbed into his scalp.

"OW! STOP IT Y'BIG APE!" he yelled, suddenly having a flashback to his younger years...

Ten Years Earlier...

"Stop it Koji!!" A young Yasuo yelled out to a fatter, slightly older shinobi who was giving him a noogie from hell as his gang of friends and other classmates simply watched on in hilarity.

"Why don't you make me YAHTZEE!?" The fat one would call out, holding and rocking the shinobi around in a circle. "Hahaha! You're weaker than that good for nothing homeless wanderer that comes through here! Pathetic!"

Yasuo grumbled, grunted and yelled,

"GET OFF!!!"

Before hopping and slamming his feet into the ground. The young Genin had managed to get an explosive force of his chakra, fueled by anger and disdain for the fat one, and had slammed them both into the wooden ceiling of the classroom they stood in.

CRASH!

SNAP!

The wooden boards and a stone overhang were crushed upon impact, and fell apart as the two came down. The fat shinobi yelled out,

"OW! You freak! Let's get out of here guys!" Before fleeing the classroom in a discontent nature. It was only a moment later, after the fledgling shinobi had been able to dust himself off and check himself for any wounds that a familiar, big nosed figure stood in the door. Immediately there after, his hand slammed against the chalkboard.

"YASUO! TO MY OFFICE!"

The Tsuchikage was not a happy man today...

As Sol continued to noogie the shinobi, an outcry of "That's it!" was all he could give to warn his opponent. He was not a happy man today, just as he was not a happy kid back then.

His right leg shot out at an angle for the platform below that, and an explosive/concussive blast of his chakra launched the two of them out to the left side of the platform. Sol's larger size would prove to be a bit harder to move, to say the least, but it also meant that he was on the receiving end of the end result of things, meaning he was the one hitting the ground in the short time they'd have from launch to fall.

He hated getting noogies... he hated it with a PASSION.

[Sol vs Yasuo; The Sky Ring]

A noogie was barely a counter, but it was damn fun.

Quote: "Noogienoogienoogie~"

Sols right arm was still wrapped around Yasuo's upper body hostage, his substantial chain wrapper forearm wrapping around the thinner mans shoulder level as he suddenly and rather unexpectedly turned both of them into rocket men.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

CUE THEME MUSIC!

Now Sol was a quick thinker but he was in the middle of enjoying the torture of his captured opponent so he wasn't exactly expecting the man to try and jump further into Sols grasp. So the resulting Launch of both men, even if it was just a foot or so up caught the kick boxer by surprise. Sols left hands slipped from Yasuo's skull due to the unexpected acceleration leaving Sol grasping for another hand hold in order to stay attached to his opponent. His hand kept sliding fruitlessly till it reached the wrist of his right arm, which needless to say he grabbed and held on for dear life. Ducking his head forward to keep it from slamming into whatever it might be in case Yasuo could actually control their flight somehow.

Sol was not a fan of flying, more so he was not a fan of being thrown into the air by a captive opponent, and even more so less of being thrown uncontrolled into the air on a 10x10 foot platform a mile in the air... But perhaps that was all semantics.

The two of them would land together on the platform, now a bit further away from the, Sol hard on his left side, Yasuo onto Sols right, Sols chain covered forearms slamming into Yasuo's back and side than the two of them would probably lay there for a second as both of them tried to get a hold on the situation.

Sol was lucky enough to have his head tucked inward as they landed keeping him from knocking himself out on the stone platform beneath them. It sadly didn't help his left shoulder though the two mens combined weight plus their fall didn't exactly do him any favors slamming the joint into the socket a wracking pain running along the mans shoulder and back forcing Sol to clench his jaw and try and suffer through it.

Speaking of getting a hold on the situation Sol wasn't about to Let Yasuo rest on his laurels after the impact. Pulling on his arms Sol had set out to Squish the man like a grape, the chains around his forearms acting to grip into his opponent like tire chains on an icy road. Yasuo had slid forward some from when Sol had grabbed him below the shoulders, the mans own force from the blast off pushing him closer to Sols Face. Sols arms once up near Yasuos shoulders had slid down to just above the mans Elbows which would not only pin the mans arms more, but also provide good leverage for the squish since the it wasn't as by the easily negated well supported by the collarbone.

Which was all well and good except that crushing the man wasn't what Sol wanted. Yasuo was now right there, right in the sweet spot for Sols favorite weapon.

His massive bony forehead.

Sure, it was brutish, perhaps too human tank like, but it was effective and since Sorrows keep it had kind of become his trademark move. After their last flight Sol had no intention of leaving the man enough firing synapses to focus for the rest of this fight.

Whack!

BOMF!

WABAM!

A Holy Trinity of batman like Heavy Headbutts would come ringing in towards the roughly the front left of the mans cranium, just above the temple of Sols captive foe.

After all, what good is a Hard head if you never use it.

Quote:

  • Hard Head.

Perhaps a dual meaning; Sol has taken enough hits to his head that he has developed an exceptionally bony forehead. Generally its not advisable to attempt to head butt Sol as most people tend to rebound off him like hitting a brick wall, but something’s just have to be learned through experience I suppose. This is not to say strikes to his forehead aren’t going to effect, him quite the opposite really as though the bony nature helps protect him somewhat it still is quite annoying to the experienced body guard.[...]

65Dragosani Kain

Unfortunately, those events would be made of wishful fairytales. Kain's sword was ready for the counter and leapt forward to meet the whack, his right hand bracing the tip of the sheath for added strength. Pushing against the force intended to lay him on his a**. Alison could play the role of the victim, but, it was she who threw the first pom-pom.

Forward he would go, making slight adjustments to meander around the halberd's length. The weapon was an intolerable nuisance. His wing was a mess and it burned his shoulder and sent pins throughout his right arm, but Harmony was far from safe.

The napalm wouldn't be so easy to diminish, the protective corset of hers would have to continue to fight off the burning smear, perhaps the flames wouldn't be intense but it'd surely start to wear at its defense. The HATEBLADE matched the Devil's fury and seethed in his hands with energy, it wanted and demanded that blood be spilled upon its obsidian edge.

For now, the situation would be reminiscent to Kain's initial tackle except now he'd seem more BULL-LIKE and now aiming for Alison's left hip while the weapon would be held at bay. He knew it wouldn't stay there for long, but what else could the woman be thinking with her knockers on fire and the rest of her garb ablaze? Especially when the flames grew higher and hotter!

Quote: ::Fire:: His main element and most powerful. Should an open flame present itself, he may bend it to his will, moving it about or amplifying its properties.

Her entire face would be alight with her hair, eyebrows, wo-moustache, shoulders and chest burned. The previous burns to her shoulders, neck and even face would bubble and blister the skin. The Destructive power of the flames would send an instant wave of pain through her body, though, her waist and most of her breasteses/under/sideboob would be FEELIN' DA HEAT.

-]Sol vs Yasuo - Skyring[-

Squeezing came first, which was to be expected from Sol. Next came the landing, which seemed to have caused much more damage to the giant, rather than the Shinobi - just as predicted. Now though? Well, Yasuo knew things were going to get hairy if Sol hadn't of let go, and now that that had been the case, a last resort measure had to be taken. Sure it meant that the shinobi had to use his head - literally - and sure it meant that there would be a backlash from it; it would be worth it, whatever the outcome would be.

Reeling back his head, and focusing his own chakra up into the cranial area, the shinobi planned to give Sol a head-butt with power equaling out to the very shot Yasuo had to take in the match prior to this one. And yes, his Steel Plate would provide some protection.

"HYAAAGH!!!"

He yelled as his head launched forward. But what was this? What the he-... great warriors seem to think alike. Sol's head launched at about the same time as Yasuo's, where both Craniums were on a collision course with only one ending - and it wasn't one filled with either of the men feeling good about themselves.

That bony head of Sol's smashed directly into the steel plate of Yasuo's already damaged headband. It was still good for a shot or two more, but the rocking force of this mans head was something the shinobi couldn't have prepared himself for in any case, period. Another concussive force of chakra exploded outwards from the impact as well, sending Yasuo's head back in a terrible form of whiplash. The upside? Well, that exact same force would hopefully be exerted in the opposite direction to send the back of Sol's head into the stone platform.

From here on out though, it was clear things were going to get a little blurry for the shinobi. There was only a little more punishment left in it for him, if this kept up, and he would not hesitate to react the same way - through pain and adrenaline alike - to end this grapple and fight.

Here was hoping Sol had a good neurosurgeon and incredible insurace.

He kept cringing back and closed his eyes, a halfass plan going through his head. A little back, a little... nope! It'd stink of burned hair and skin, and his teeth'd be revealed on the right side, guns looking red and shiny. It sparkled for a second, and seemed to have skin reappear. It was obviously glamour covering it, given the SHINY nature obscuring the wound, but instant replays would flash on showing the bolt and the wreckage of his right side before it went all sparkly indiscretion shot. Yes, he was vain.

But, the other half was maybe gonna work? He kicked out and up with his left leg-

[JB vs Ross_]

Of course Rhoslyn wouldn't just be covered by his own blood. The impact of the fae's leg against Joseph's stomach caused him to spray blood and saliva as the ooomph of air escaped. His tenuous grip on the knife going and it falling towards the ground. When Rhos stumbled back so would Joseph, trying as hard as he could but stumbling more on the uncertain lightning burned legs. Big steps as the distance and hold between them breaking, knowing he had to take steps to hinder his opponent from capatlizing.

"Go Go Go Go!" Simple words to get the shots out faster. His left hand this time, no longer frosted over, joined the right in the familiar finger gun. The four level one shots, being nothing but blind shots from the hip in Rhoslyn's general direction.

Everything ached. His stomach was bruised, his chest and chin burned, legs unsteady and wobbly and worse was his right arm. The shoulder wound preventing any quick movement at that joint, and his necrotized flesh barely letting his elbow move. Needless to say in seven moves both opponents had done a number on each other.

"Go go!" Another shot from his left hand, this one a bit more sure and aimed as a retaliatory shot at Rhosyln's stomach. Tit for tat and all that. However he could barely raise his right arm in time for such a shot and the other bolt went more for the fae's feet.

"You..." The bleeding in his mouth starting to subside and letting him speak a little more clearly, "Are a goddamn bashtard."

[Sol vs Yasuo; The Sky Ring]

The impact was hellish, Sol was impressed for a second, his headbutts had obviously reached godly level for even he had never cause himself a case of whiplash. Their somewhat awkward angle lying on the platform with Sol lying mostly on his left shoulder kept him from smacking his head directly onto the platform after the blast, but considering the force of the blast it was fairly irrelevant.

Sol was oblivious to the fact that he had nothing to do with the explosion, not from ignorance of the shinobi's abilities but because his brain had started to reboot and wasn't accepting any new input right now. In fact if anyone had asked sol a question they would have gotten a beep and a message letting them know Sol was not available at the moment.

Blood was streaming from a cut on his forehead, the thin skin over his skull had split and blood was running from it freely like a river, it wasn't life threatening or anything sol would usually worry about, but it was certainly annoying. And it was that annoying sensation of warmth that Sol reminded Sol that he was still alive and that he should probably do something other than lay there.

"I aint got time to bleed..."

He had lost one his knives after the rocket jump, holding on was far more important than keeping both of his weapons after all. The better question was how exactly to use it, and Sol had to admit he didn't know. So he did what he knew was working, Sol squeezed harder. In fact if Sol squeezed much harder he'd probably start assimilating Yasuo into himself and then it hit him, or more accurately It was about to hit Yasuo.

Sols right hand still clenched around the pommel of his extended balisword, his left hand wrapped around his right wrist angled the blade down slight and slid his hands further down Yasuos back driving the blade under the mans skin. It wouldn't be a deep wound, to do that Sol would have to loosen his grip, and that was not an open. Either way a 13 inch blade into a mans back would hurt, even if it wasn't life threatening.

There was big 'yay' moment for Yasuo though, and that was that because Sol wasn't quite on his back, his grip wasn't quite centered on Yasuos back, the deep but shallow wound completely missing the mans spine. Even if Yasuo realized it though he probably wouldn't realize it was only a distraction, a bloody painful distraction, but a distraction none the less.

No Sol needed to channel someone, someone near and dear to him even if they filled him with rage, it was the finals, it wasn't like he'd need to leave this fight conscious after all, just outlast his opponent. It was the old 'two friends being chased by a bear' scenario, and it was as true here as it was out in the woods.

Sols mind was struck by the image of the person he wanted to channel, at first it was blurry his mind still somewhat out to lunch from the explosive response, but then it became more clear. It was his arch rival, Izette Asis Prechtl, the punker, blinkey.

Probably about the time Yasuo was becoming intimately aware that he was getting a new decorative back piercing Sol would rear his head back.

It was time to headbang...

With the distraction sol hoped to break the mans focus, and prevent such an explosive reaction to his coming strike. The blade cutting intot he muscle of the back combined with the pressure on the mans spine and ribcage would make it hard for Yasuo to do much but probably squirm.

...But squirming wouldn't save him this time.

Sols head struck forward, perhaps not a stronga hit as before, but what it lacked in strength it made up for in rapidity, the blood shearing off his brow spraying blood into the air around them as he struck over and over again seeking to beat the strength out of him.

He squeezed the man harder stil, the blade cutting into his opponent as each hit struck moving the blades orientation int he wound even if the headbutts seemed to do little more than cut up Sols brow and forehead the impact as an impact and the resulting jackhammer would make its impact felt on both his opponents back and head.

It really didn't matter anymore to Sol, his skull could take it, and though he didn't know how long he could keep this up it he figured he could probably take a hell of a lot more of it than his already skull rattled opponent.

He had to admit, Joseph was one prepared ********. By the time he opened his eyes, it had become time to test a sore hypothesis - a wall of force. And then, he reconsidered it and sighed. Not the time. The first one hit him in the chest between the right arm and the big , bleeding bruise on his chest; the second hit his limp right hand and bounced it back. The other two missed - one barely, to the gap between his arm and his side, and the other way off in the distance to the right.

Quote: Everything ached.

He looked at the ground, resigned to the hit. And then... Oh me OW... my. With no more time to think, Rhoslyn curled over and breathed out, still backing away as the second shot scorched the grass near his feet. He took a deep breath, and spoke.

"FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKIN RIGHT!"

A grin.

It didn't come out right - either of them. ********... in right.

But, on the other hand... the straight razors that'd been laying on the ground had come to be taken by his power, however lightly. The two came up - one was more from the ground and seemed aimed to give JB a nose job, while the other went at a 45 degree angle for the face in general.

A few seconds afterwords, Rhoslyn would charge, and then try to tackle JB, leading with his right arm to soak up more damage. His left hand would come around to wrap and grew more SHINY - if he had some sort of sensors or nerves, he'd probably feel tingling of an almost ticklish nature.

"Whhooo!!! Go Rhos! You can do it!" The team of cheer leaders for Shattered Steel was going crazy on the sidelines, performing various flips and toe touches to raise the moral of their team mates. To get the crown going for their team, the girls faced the audience instead. "HEY! EVERYONE CHEER FOR SHATTERED STEEL!/" Iru yelled while waving her pom poms before the girls proceeded to make a human pyramid, with Kitty on the top.

"So am I." Joseph spoke back quietly as the next barrage of attack began. Needless to say that the razors would be a surprise. The first shot up and quicky caused a nub of flesh to fly through the air, said nub being the tip of Joseph's nose. Looks like that nasal sound would be haunting him a bit longer. At the very least that gave him the headsup to be more aware of flying s**t, catching the second as it flew right at his face. That said, turning and dodging on elecro-burnt legs wasn't exactly the fastest way to do things. What would have been a clean dodge on fresh legs, was a blade bitting into toasted flesh around his chin, and the sharp blade travelling up and across his cheek in the worst shaving accident ever.

"BLAST!"

Perhaps it was a curse word of choice, but more than likely it had to do with his more mobile left arm coming up with the finger gun threating Rhoslyn gangsta style... Well, that's what Joseph hoped his opponent would think. Instead that was a command for the finger gun on his main hand in spite of it having the mobility of a toy robot. He had already saw that he could pull off a decent shot right at Rhoslyn's feet even with the limited range of movement, even though it just singed the grass. The level three shot Joseph just fired would not be so merciful, instead the much large and powerful blast of light impacted the ground in front of where Rhoslyn would be stepping. Grass and dirt were kicked up in a small burst of energy, and the Fae's foot was likely to come down in a pothole that wasn't there before.

Surprises like that are hardly good for ones balance when one was in the mist of a determined '******** right' charge. There was still the issue of Joseph's left hand though.

"GO GO GO!" Joseph was spitting at his opponent, blood from his nose trickling down over his lips while the ooze from his cheek started to roll down the burnt flesh. As he spoke his hand would be going forward, first level one blast aimed towards Rhos' hip, then another would be more of a body aimed blow likely to be taken by his leading arm, and the second just a bit higher, "******** right off!"

All things going successfully Joseph's left hand would change from a fingergun to a fist. Hoping the impromptu crater caused anything from a stumble to a fall, Joseph continued the momentum of his shot barrage hoping to get over Rhos' guard and deliver a left hook right to his pretty face. Machine gauntlet right in the glamour, that's gotta sting.

What started as a display of powers and flash had turned to two guys smacking each other in the rough and tumble, and what the ******** is wrong with that? This kind of brutality is what drove the crowd wild.

And in their bloodthirst they cheered.

After a second or so of moving up, it'd go for the forehead and try to cut and draw blood to blind JB. Cheap, but effective, and Rhoslyn was expecting GO GO GADGET WINDSHIELD WIPERS.

Surfing was a sport that required balance. The ocean wasn't calm, no - you had to paddle hard against it and ignore the burn on your shoulders, then turn around, paddle more, hop on a bucking and bouncing board, and try to keep your feet on it as the wave's momentum propels you forward. It'd slow him down as he bent his knee lower, but he'd spring back and resume his charge, smoking grass on his now-dirty leather boots.

s**t. Rhoslyn twisted and stepped, then rolled his head a little to the right as he continued to lower down and lean forward. The hit to the shoulder made the burned-out part of his shoulder squirt out more blood, and he wrinkled his nose.

BOOM. Oh, yeah, that hurt! The damage was mitigated somewhat by the rolling with the punch, but byebye teeth. It was a pretty gnarly blow that left him bloody - the gauntlet would be covered, too.

Effective wasn't the word. In their battle to unpretty the other's face Rhoslyn's attack had the desired effect. Blood poured down into JB's eyes and stung, blured and all around made it nasty. Looks like he was playing it by touch now. But touch was something he had.

As his fist impacted Joseph rolled his arm down until his metal covered forearm would be lined up with Rhoslyn's Neck. Then came the words.

"Forward..." More blood droplets flew through the air as Joseph's face was practically covered by a layer of either his or his opponent's blood, "Nobody's getting in my way!"

The turbines on Joseph's back roared to life as they gave a sudden bust of speed to Joseph's counter charge. First impact would likely be painful as his forearm slammed into Rhoslyn's windpipe with the force of Joseph's push combined with the turbines. Hopefully he could push him back for a second pass at the crater. Though JB would try and keep in contact, considering his touch was more reliable than blurred vision.

Rhoslyn ducked, twisted, and threw a punch to the midsection, roughly the solar plexus, hoping to avoid headpunch. It was a short action, without much detail, but body movement was used. Last hit of the fight, maybe?

The crowd, regardless of team preference, began to holler and shout as the jumbotron switched to display a massive digital clock. The seconds counting down as all three fights were coming to a close, the combatants from both teams; bloody, bruised and battered had put on a hell of a show within their time limit.

HoH 2010 was mere seconds from coming to its spectacular conclusion.

THe duck successful Joseph's arm went over Rhos' head, and the punch was hard enough to make Joseph grind his teeth in pain. A little more. A little more was all he needed. He was hardly on his feet, at this point. Too much blood shed, too many blows taken. The last bit of momentum pushed him up against Rhos, his arm blindly reaching down to try to pull him close, wrapping his arm over his opponent's shoulder for what looked like support. Close enough that Joseph could whisper tender nothings into the general direction of the fae's ear.

"Blast ********."

Remember that level three blast? Well, now Rhoslyn had placed himself close enough for Joseph to use what little mobility he in his right arm to feel his way up to the closet biggest target he could find. Rhoslyn's upper leg, and released the blast of massive energy at a sadisticly close range. There was enough splashback of energy at this close range that Joseph's clothes shredded and his skin burned. But Rhoslyn's flesh would be torn, and there may have even been enough power at this range to fracture bone. The femur is not the kind of bone you want to break in any sort of a way.

((Rhos! Get some rest, health is more important than RP!))
