The Foreign Car Parking Lot Wrote:
... Terrible, terrible place. All of the shitty cars ever made, all in one parking lot.

Terrain
General - Shitty cars in every row, spaced out about three feet from one another. Have fun.
Natural Element Resource - Row after row after row after row of rice burning machines.
Weapons - All of the cars have been left unlocked, some of them have even had the trunk opened, and all of them have their factory standard floor jacks and spare tires.
Bonus Effects - None.

Aayon felt, almost, at home as she walked down the rows and rows and rows of cars. Every car she never wanted to drive was in this lot, and with good reason, no one else would want to drive them either. Her FIGHTER pointed her towards this arena, along with another fellow, she knew nothing about. As she walked pasted the cars, swinging her cricket bat back and fourth, she took inventory or what was being held in the cars around her. Plenty of the trunks had been opened up for easy accessibility during the fight, which Ms. Johnson enjoyed. Car jacks, tire irons, jumper cables, spare tires, and oooh- first aid kits?
Pills here! But where was the DMV workers opponent?
Thu Feb 10, 2011 7:49 pm · id 296648307 · page 1
It's time... the musician thought as he entered the arena. A mask with one half black and one half white hid all emotion on his face. The rest of his body was covered in black, from head to toe, with the only contrast being his white gloves. He walked with confidence, his arms swaying back and forth as he entered a graveyard of mechanical beasts.
It was at that moment that Aayon would hear loud and rhythmic sounds as wood crashed into metal. Saphen's gaze locked onto his new found opponent, the show had finally begun and he would not disappoint. He approached her slowly, his arm jerking back and forth as he slammed his bow into the various car parts around him. An almost tribal drum beat reverberated from the broken cars in the parking lot, getting louder and louder as the bard walked.
Tribal...Tribesmen...Deitric...
A single memory flashed in his mind, he was charging, weapon poised to strike and then...nothing. It was a single bolt of lightning that had eliminated him from that tournament but he never gave in until the end. At the very moment he thought about being hit by Deitric's attack he slammed his violin bow into a window. It shattered against the might of music and it was only then that the drum beat stopped. He stood quietly, watching her, saying with out words that he would never give in until silence consumed him. His breathing was heavy, his chest heaving as he tried to relax his mind as well as his body.
He knew very well that this might be the only fight he was able to enjoy this tournament. Saphen barely knew his teammates, in reality he barely knew much about himself. But what he did know was that even a single fight was a performance, a chance to entertain the world once more and for that he would give it his all.
After what felt like an eternity of silence the bard bowed, his right arm crossing over his body as the bow rested against his left side. His violin rested quietly in his left hand, held loosely at his side.
"It is my pleasure to face you. Let us give this world another reason to smile..shall we?" Once his words faded he stood up straight, his bow and violin quickly moving to playing position as he faced his right side to her.
"Ladies first!"

What was this crap? Aayon felt confused for a second and decided to say the first thing to pop into her head.
"I'M OFFENDED!"
As soon as her opponent spoke, the DMV worker stopped her rummaging around and looked at where the noise was coming from. Now, Aayon was used to seeing all sorts of weird stuff, but who was this Phantom of the Opera guy?
With a quick flick of the wrist Aayon tossed the med kit she had been investigating at her opponent. Shortly after Aayon, herself, would follow readying to strike with her cricket bat to her opponents middle.

As his opponent stood there the bard began to slide his bow along his precious violin strings. Low notes hung heavy on the air as his hidden eyes watched her body in it's entirety. At the moment he wasn't sure what type of music would compliment this field of battle or this spirited woman before him but he would begin to conjure up the energies necessary to achieve victory none the less.
Saphen's head tilted slightly as she yelled at him, he was confused by her statement but one thing was clear.
She wanted to hurt him.
The med kit flew through the air, creating the shows first percussion as it's contents rattled inside. It was at that moment that Saphen realized that nothing complimented percussion quite like a crash.
A large scorpion like limb slid out from the back of Saphen's shirt and shot ahead of him, slamming head on into the med kit and launching it back at his opponent. If it went undisturbed it might hit her shoulder but there was no real aim to it. Instead the limb, known to the bard by the obvious nickname of spear plant, was poised in a position to act as such. Since the musician stood in a sideways stance to his opponent his newly revealed weapon would have a reach similar to that of a pole arm. It was this advantage that the bard would use to keep her at arm's length...for now.
Saphen stepped to his left while a tactical plan began to form in his mind. He assumed that most people were right handed and he wanted to force her to have to reposition herself in order to get a proper swing. At the same time he kept the tip of his plant aimed in her direction. Showing her that he had the advantage of distance, almost daring her to try and break the invisible barrier he had formed by doing so.
All the while he continued to play his violin, his arms seeming undisturbed by the chaos of battle...as if they had a mind of their own. The only thing this hidden life form told them to do was play and they answered it's call with out question. The notes began to ascend higher, faster, evolving to the sudden change of pace that combat had created.
Let us dance he thought to himself and see who takes the lead!

Music began to play and Aayon gave her opponent a mental Eff You. This DMV worker knew that if someone showed up to a fight with some sort of instrument, it wasn't there because the person thought there'd be a hoedown instead of a fight. (Well, there was that one time.) So when Aayon's med kit did nothing to cause Saphen to even pause for a second, she cursed and watched as her 'distraction' flew back towards her.
But wait, the music didn't stop, he obviously needed two hands to play a violin, so what tossed the med kit back? Said kit would simply fall into her shoulder, but she would pay no mind as a slight throb began where she'd been struck. There were more important things at hand, like how she was going to get close to her opponent with that death trap swinging around in front of her. Poisons weren't allowed in the tournament right? They wouldn't let someone bring that crap in.
Ugh, how she hates scorpions. No plan formulated in Aayon's mind as she watched the tentacly thing move, no ideas of how to deal with said thing so that she could move in closer and show her opponent why she'd named her cricket bat Application Denied. First thing that popped into her head, she rolled with it.
The violin began to go faster, and Aayon took his bet, ready to plunge straight for him. Bad idea? Probably, but Aayon never had any good ideas. So she started at him, both hands on the handle of her cricket bat, the tip lowered to the ground, ready to rise up diagonally towards her opponents extra limb. If it it didn't hit, it didn't matter, Aayon didn't plan to stop. Her body, with some luck, would plow right into her opponents. Her main goal was to distract him enough to stop the music, letting him continue couldn't be the beginning of something good (for her). Dare accepted.

Saphen watched quietly as she continued to charge forward, his head nodding in understanding. They both knew the game, she wanted to stop his music and he wanted to keep the powerful magic growing. But he had anticipated this action and surely she knew that he had. And if she knew that he knew...that she knew...well that would just make things more complicated.
Saphen kept the limb out as long as possible, making it an obvious target to parry before he prepared his counter. His heart raced as he waited for the right time to defend himself. He imagined this is what it felt like for a bullfighter to dodge the horns of his namesake. But like a bullfighter the bard had never forgotten what his purpose was...to entertain. There was more than one reason why the bard had stepped to his left than to make life more difficult for the lady, he was closer to the cars. It was ironic that the cars right next to him were red and gold he thought to himself, just like a capote! It was a sign that this course of action was the right one and while the bard tried to avoid resting his hopes on fate...it didn't mean that he didn't believe in it.
The large limb quickly withdrew, moving behind him but standing above his head in a menacing posture...like that of a scorpion. But with all good hunters it was never the obvious threat you had to worry about, the trap was always revealed when it was too late to escape.
The bard's right hand slashed through the air in a large arching motion, the music fading from the air as his counter attack began. As his arm whirled around, the large green leaves of his Agave plant were revealed, and from each leaf shot out a large whipping green rope. Ten individual ropes spun through the air, each several feet long, in an attempt to wrap around her. They spread out aimed to ensare all parts of her body, from her legs to her neck. The slimy green ropes had detached from the plant, allowing the bard to move away from the inevitable collision of woman and plant.
While his opponent had to consider her next action the bard sprinted to his left, sliding between two of the cars as he kept his right side facing her. It was true that she stopped the music for a moment but the bard had learned it was better to guarantee power later than to chance losing it early. Even if she did manage to avoid becoming entangled or getting slowed down at all the bard had used the cars to funnel her into his easily defended position. Saphen's hidden face watched to see if his plan had been foiled as excitement caused the fingers gripping the bow to twitch. He would quickly return to playing position, getting ready to gather more energy if he had time.

The last thought Aayon had before she collided into the ropey vines, was a bit disturbing. She remembered a show she had watched that began similar to this, except that the ropes were tentacles in much more phallic shapes and the girl was a young Asian with a tiny skirt and a squeaky voice. Though the show ended "well" for both the monster and the girl, Aayon hoped this went nowhere close to where that had gone.
Her right arm, throat, waist, left thigh, and right ankle were all caught up in the plant. Her left arm managed to stay free as she struggled and pulled to get away, vowing to herself that she would get a hold of that stupid instrument and break it to pieces. She twisted and pulled and stomped, trying to break free from the plant, maybe even ripping some of it apart.
As she struggled, Aayon got a glance at her opponent as he tucked himself way between the cars, readying to play again, no doubt. Her right hand gripped the cricket bat as she whipped it forward, as hard as she could. No doubt he would pay for this one.

Saphen's hidden smile grew larger as he watched his opponent struggle, like a mouse caught in a trap. Hidden eyes studied her as she attempted to break free, plotting her next move at the very same moment he was deciding his. The bard was playing his favorite game once more and in this chess match he had her king in check.
But it wasn't so much that he enjoyed the pain of others, more to the point he loved when a plan was coming together. She was tangled and there was no real way for her to charge him at that moment which only left her one option, a ranged attack. But wait...she decided on another option, she would swing the bat down upon him with out worrying about her bindings.
Clever Girl...
But thankfully the musician would not be facing a team of strategic dinosaurs today...just one angry woman. Though the question of which would be easier would cross his mind later on.
The cricket bat was the only line of defense that questioned his range advantage and he had to nullify it. It was this object that Saphen had hoped to remove from the equation but sadly things weren't going according to plan. The bard's leg muscles tightened, his plant forged stinger curling down across his body with a few feet of space as he prepared for the collision. The plant itself was solid, able to defend against the savage strikes of a metal weapon, and in this case wood, with ease. When the bat struck the plant it pushed him back slightly, the plant coming dangerously close to hitting him before it regained it's composure. But instead of retreating he pushed forward, the plant pushing against the bat as Saphen's right foot pushed against the ground. He was forcing her to move backwards before she could follow up with an attack of her own. Hoping the bindings would prevent her from doing anything fancy so he could return the favor in kind.
"What a lovely assault and even lovelier music!" the bard shouted as he attempted to side kick her in the stomach. His left foot stepping forward in a small but swift motion, setting himself up for the strike. His right leg lifted, bending at the knee before shooting out to slam his foot right into her lower stomach...almost her waist. This was one of the few moments where his light agile frame would come in handy, the kick would be fast and powerful as he used momentum to drive it's power.
His bow quickly returned to his violin, the eerie theme to Jaws filling the arena as he laughed softly to himself. The haunting music grew stronger and faster as he moved closer. The sharp tip of his thorned weapon pointing at her from over his shoulder as he gathered energy. He was waiting to see how well his counter connected before he followed up the assault.
What to do...thought the bard...what to do?
The sharks were circling the water...and they smelled blood.

The binds were loosening and Aayon felt that she'd be free soon enough, just as the guy landed a swift kick to her midsection. "Umph." No time for blocking, even if she could (though she did attempt to bring her left leg up which was almost freed) and was quite surprised that he wasn't taking more advantage of her entangled state. Not what she would have done, though it might benefit him once she got her hands on the little guy.
Aayon's right eye twitched as she struggled some more, listening to the more ominous music play and felt the plant trying to push back. Giving her right arm one more, harsh, yank, she broke free, shaking off the rest of the plant as she moved forward, towards her opponent.
Her opponent was in kicking distance, that meant she might be able to get of one hit with her cricket bat, anywhere would be fine. So as she trudged towards Saphen, she swung, with both hands on the bat in a diagonal, from the lower right to the top left, keeping the swing narrow, hoping the cars wouldn't get too much in the way. If the hit did take, it wouldn't look too good for Mr. Saphen.

Saphen grunted happily as he felt his strike connect, his foot coming down to regain balance as he moved forward. His plan was back on track and the joy of strategy invigorated him once more. But she was tearing his binding apart and that meant that she would attack soon. With a small distance between the cars there wasn't much time or space to effectively dodge or parry the incoming strike, he had to think fast.
Too late, the bat came up and the bard braced himself for the assault. Saphen turned his body to square himself slightly and stepped closer in order to prevent the weapon from smacking into his face. "Joy to have merited the Pain," he whispered as the bat struck him hard on his left side.
There wasn't enough room for it to do extensive damage but it was enough to cause his hidden face to wince. Thack!, the familiar sound of wood striking wood rang in his ear as his water vine was damaged beneath his shirt. It helped absorb some of the impact but not enough to defend himself against an unknown ability. But Saphen's mind wasn't on escaping, it was on countering. Saphen wrapped his left arm around the bat, attempting to hold it fast as he pressed his violin against his stomach.
The sound of crackling wood came from behind him as a second later a new Euphoria Millie limb shot out. It whipped over his left shoulder to prevent her from parrying it and stabbed downward. Aimed to impale her right shoulder, where the arm met the torso as he attempted to exchange blows. The bard would continue to push his new appendage into her shoulder and force her back. His left arm doing the best it could to hold the bat in an attempt to disarm her once more. But it was at that moment that he would learn the risk of letting her hit him. Saphen's right knee bent and he would have stepped forward but his foot wouldn't move. The musician glanced down and snarled in anger as he realized that it was she who had bound him!
To rub salt in the wound the next line of the bard's poem was ironic. This would most likely be noted as he spoke the next verse in sarcasm.
"Joy to have perished every step!"
Hidden eyes locked on her torso as he considered what to do next.

The bat hit its target and Aayon felt relief knowing her opponent couldn't run from her any longer. Saphen grabbed the bat, holding it in the place she'd struck, now he'd be able to clearly read the two crudely screwed on License plates on either side that read "DENIED1" and "DENIED2." Using the bat and his inability to move for the time being, Aayon pulled herself closer to him, giving them just enough space between their bodies to fight over the cricket bat.
Still holding the bat with her right hand, Aayon let go with her left, there was no way she was relinquishing her only weapon, and began to throw quick but hard punches to her opponent's masked chin. As she began throwing punches a sharp pain began shooting from the top of her shoulder. Apparently the DMV worker forgot about one of her opponents more prominent features.
She inhaled sharply as she took the pain, feeling her shoulder being pushed back, but fighting it. The punches would pause until she exhaled as she tried to power through it.

Saphen held fast to the bat as his newly forged spear plant went to stab into her shoulder. The sound of rending flesh would be a chorus of beautiful music to him and it sang "One step closer to victory!"
It seemed that he was stuck for the time being and he would have to make due. It was at that moment that a punch shot at his stone fortified face which caused him to make a hastey decision. The point of his bow was very sharp, made specifically for stabbing and so as her hand moved to punch him the musician stabbed the bow directly into her right arm. Aiming for the space between her elbow and hand he hoped that would be enough to disarm her. But there was no time to think about that as the punch connected with his mask. The musician groaned in pain as his head shot back slightly, forcing him to lean forward in order to prevent himself from falling over. His left arm pulling back slightly in order to try and wrench the bat from her hand as he steadied himself from the blow.
The plant continued to dig deeper into her shoulder, the sharp point resting happily in her flesh before the thorns spread out. If she tried to pull away from it there was a possibility that a large chunk of flesh would leave her. If she tried to push forward it was possible that her arm would become useless all together. As Saphen's face twisted in pain he would leave the next move to her. Even if he lost his bow in the exchange he would do everything in his power to disable her weapon. There was no telling how long he would be stuck for so the best he could do was out damage her in close quarters combat and so far...it seemed to be working.

Things seemed to be going well, or at least, she wasn't dead yet.
As Aayon went for another punch to the masked opponents face, she was stopped by a number of things: one the bow that had found its way into her forearm, shooting pain throughout her arm, and the thing in her shoulder doing something else, much more painful. She could not see what was happening in her shoulder, but Aayon was getting a little paranoid and the first thought was that she'd be injected with little seedlings that would hatch later and tear her open from the inside out. So, natural, she'd take the wrong, and more painful route.
Finally giving into her opponent's wishes, Aayon let go of her cricket bat and reached up to her shoulder grasping the little sucker and yanking it out. The pain was excruciating, and the sound was even worse, but she wasn't going to let that stop her from her next move.
With the vine thing still clenched into her right fist (she could see the bit of skin that had stuck with it and the blood drained from her face in horror) she stepped back, her left hand joined her right as she held fast. The feeling in her fingers was minimal, and blood was streaming from where the bow was stuck, but she kept her hands on the extra limb, while her right leg went up, the bottom of her foot slamming into Saphen's middle. At the same moment of the kick, Aayon yanked with her hands as best she could, trying, with some luck, to rip the thing off her opponent.

Saphen grinned happily as he watched her relinquish the bat, a triumph of greatness in his eyes. The bard would have looked at her face, watching the beautiful expressions of battle but he didn't. If he had the memories of them would have vanished just moments later.
But there was so much joy flowing through him he forgot his malady and the fact that she wanted to kill him. Saphen gripped the handle of the bat with his right hand. Preparing to toss it away so that she wouldn't have a chance to use it for the rest of the battle.
The plan was successful, take away her primary advantage but there was something the bard had forgotten. A thought so simple it might as well have been common sense.
His opponent...had feet.
Her foot raised, hands gripping on one of the two limbs of his beloved plant. Only one thought passed through his mind as she excuted a plan of her very own.
Big Mistake...
The thorns on the plant raised ever so slightly right when the kick connected, pointing at the bard. But as she kicked him, launching him back her hands would slide down a metaphorical cheese grater. But while no one should cry over spilled milk (er..cheese) one should feel immense amounts of pain. The flesh from her hands would be littered in thorns or worst...removed all together. This would make every punch agonizing but that was the last thought on the bard's mind as he flew a few feet back.
A groan escaped him, the water vine doing little to shield him from the kick as he listened to one of the plant limbs being torn off. The other limb curled around him, Helping him roll into a kneeling position as he quickly looked up to keep an eye on her. While she might have been in pain and even the pulling would delay her that didn't mean she wouldn't rush him. The bard flung his right arm back, launching the bat across several rows of cars. His left hand gripped his violin thoughtfully, instinctively making sure that it was unharmed during the journey to the ground.
The bard would whisper to himself more poetry lines fitting of such an amazing battle as he regained his breath.
"It has no Future -- but itself --
Its Infinite contain
Its Past -- enlightened to perceive
New Periods -- of Pain"
All the while he staggered to his feet, the last limb of is Euphoria Millie positioning itself around his right side. Ready to counter a charge if it came to that....ready to go in for more destruction if otherwise.
