Heaven or Hell: Round One, Alan vs Joseph
Theme: Two Steps from Hell, United We Stand, Divided We Fall
Post 8/17: A dish served best.
Alan was almost certain to have his katar blade would get its fill of blood and entrails, however just as he was about to follow through a whizzing sound was heard above his head, followed by a sharp main.
Due to Alan's position, he was unable to see the Striker make his attack. Even if he had strained his hearing in order to hear it in the air, the constant ringing of the fire alarm would have done a perfect job masking it. However Alan was moving to stab his opponent and this changed his situation. Lifting himself slightly in order to prevent more agony to his left wing, however, did just the opposite, thanks to Dharrei. The Axe would slice into the 'forearm' portion of Alan's wing before returning to its master.
The pain would be a fresh addition to the ache in his wing that was already dulling. Alan, in his training and combat was quite accustomed to shutting out pain, but this was an additional jolt he had not expected. He winced slightly. The blow to Joseph would have been substantial, but not as much as his magic could have been, instinctively, his attack hesitated for an instant to preserve his focus he had gathered.
Alan heard the faint rasping of whispering, the ringing preventing him from hearing the details of it, even at close quarters, but he was close enough to discern his opponent attempting some sort of form. That was enough to convince the man to back off, but on his own terms.
Before the energy was even gathered, Alan pushed away hard with the left arm that was keeping Joseph's side and arm pinned down, as he did however, the Agent would feel a sudden wash of cold and wetness.
Water surged out of Alan's left gauntlet, and as he flung himself away from from Joseph, it would spread up until a mount of several gallons, covering over his arm and entire right side of his chest, dripping down. As it did, however, the substance flash froze, encasing Alan's opponent in ice. The wetness of the environment, the fire suppression system Alan had triggered earlier, served as a catalyst for the spell, increasing its potency. With Josephs suit soaked through due to the constant rain, as well as the carpet, the freeze locked him tightly to the ground by his chest and arm, tighter than it would have had normally. Even a man with extra strength would need some time to break himself out of it.
Causing the fire suppression system to trigger was part of Alan's plan. The fire served two purposes. It provided Alan with the opportunity to engage Joseph in close quarters, and set off the system to allow himself to pin Joseph, either to the floor, or to the walls, and open Alan up for a more substantial attack.
If Joseph still attempted to stab at Alan's bladed right arm as he froze, Alan would be quick to pull his arm straight back and be there to parry or even catch Joseph's arm before he got up. If not, there was now plenty of opportunity to disable it in the following moments.
Once on his feet Alan would snap the left Katar into place finally. It would take Joseph some time actually hammering away at the ice encasing before it would yeild. Alan did not intend to give his opponent any more chances to recover.
Received Damage: Laceration on 'forearm of left wing'. Pain resulting hesitated stab and was not followed through to connect.
Note: Alan has sustained too much damage on his left wing and is no longer able to reliably use it as a magical focus. Wing focus is either no longer available or can only be used at half efficiency.
Actions: Cold Wake used as Alan pushes away with his left arm. Intending parry and stab was evaded and possibly caught (leg wrap attempt pulled away from.) Readies left Katar for some serious punishment.
Intended damage: Opponent is trapped and cannot move upper body/right arm as is frozen solid to the floor.
Physical Traits in use:
Wings - Left wing draping slightly, Right wing shifting into a ready position.

- Fast-freezing water emits from the Talon in a several-gallon splash. The attack can cover a small section of the ground or body in ice, locking it solid until manually thawed or broken out of (takes abount 1 round to break free.) May douse magical fire. The wake will emit from either the Katar edge or the palm of the talon, depending if the Katar is in use.
Environmental Bonus (Approved by Damnatus): The encasing of ice is wider and requires an additional round to break out of.
