Well, it certainly wasn't the arena that Corvus expected to be fighting in, but this parking lot had a certain kind of appeal to it. Definitely a superior field tactically, though the pirate captain had his doubts about whether or not that would even come into play in this fight. He didn't know anything about the dame that he'd been matched up against, but then he was new to the whole tournament scene. On the bright side, since he was new, it was highly unlikely his opponent had any idea what to expect either.
For now, Corvus wandered up and down the rows of cars, looking for this Sokoya broad that he was supposed to fight. In the mean time, he amused himself by taking out the windshields and headlights of particularly ugly cars with his steel bat.
WHIRRRR WHIRRRR WHIRRR WHIRRR WOOOOOOOOOOO WHIRRR WHIRRR WHIRRR WOOOOOOOOO BLOOP BLERP!
Bhudasan switched off his siren and just rolled past the lot, the lights on his car still flashing. Foreign cars as far as the eye can see, and you can bet your a** that no less than two-thirds of them were stolen. The Officer was actually tempted to pull over and begin checking ALL the vehicles for the off-chance that Deitric might be hiding in one of them. But there were so many cars and so little time. He didn’t immediately spot the guy on the second pass, so he hit the sirens and went about his way.
Why thank you Mr. Reynolds. I would just love a back massage. Oh Ryan, you flatter me too much! What's that? You have something to show me? Whatever could it be? Oh my....
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
"********" Sokoya would exclaim as she shot up in bed, a bewildered look on her still half asleep face. Then, came the sad realization of where she was. "Noo....." the girl would whimper, depressed that she wasn't able to finish her dream. The disappointment wouldn't last too long, however, quickly overcome by a strong feeling of...excitement. The preliminary matches of Heaven or Hell. Oh god, was she excited.
The woman barely hit the touched the ground when she jumped out of bed and headed for the shower. Boring details aside, Sokoya got ready in a ******** hurry. Silver hair pushed up into a fohawk. Clothes were put on. Eyeliner applied to her oddly red colored eyes. Weapon grabbed, and she was out the door in thirty minutes. Mind you, the door was to a random house in Latent that she'd discovered was temporarily uninhabited. The clothes and makeup weren't hers.
Nor did she really close the door behind her.
Sokoya strolled down the street at a brisk pace, her converse shoes making like slapping sounds as they hit the concrete of the sidewalk. She was barely paying attention to where she was going, her attention instead directed towards the mobile device in her hands. This is how she'd gotten word of her match, courtesy of her team captain. It'd also listed where the match was supposed to take place; Some old parking lot filled with cars. A bit strange, but she could dig it. And this was how she would get there, occasionally running into a person or two as she checked her iPineapple every couple seconds for directions.
It wasn't until the device said "You've arrived!" in a cheery tone that Sokoya would actually look up and see the car lot. Or, more importantly, a cop with his sirens just pulling out of the place. It was all to clear he was looking for someone, a vibe she got having had her fair share of run ins with police. And, after he turned and drove away, she could sigh a sigh of relief that it wasn't her that he was after.
Strolling through the mostly abandoned lot, it wasn't too difficult to determine that her opponent was the only other guy there. The sound of shattering windows was easy enough to follow, leading the fighter directly to her opponent. And while she could've easily just tried to sneak up and hamstring the guy before the fight got serious, Sokoya took the 'nice route.' That meaning that she would walk out into one of the open roads between rows of cars, about 30 feet down. A fair starting distance.
From here, she would be free to eye the man over, one slender eyebrow raised up. A plainly designed khukri was tucked into her belt in the front, for all the world to see. She made no attempt to grab it, mind you, with her arms crossed over her chest. But it was there, an indication.
Corvus was in the middle of demolishing a particularly ugly example of British automotive engineering, the Marcos Mantis 2+2, when the cop showed up. The pirate captain paused while the officer drove past, but since the guy didn't stop, it was obvious that he wasn't there to stop Corvus or to break up the fight, which was a good thing. The captain doubted that the Heaven or Hell staff would approve of him beating up a cop before his fight started, after all.
When the punk chick showed up, Corvus was just about to move on to a stupid looking car that was shaped vaguely like a bubble. Shouldering his bat for now, the captain gave the girl a cursory once over, and raised his eyebrows. The captain was a huge b*****d with an eyepatch and a robotic arm and scars all over his face holding a bat that had to weigh at least ten pounds. In comparison, the only thing Corvus found even a little intimidating about the girl was her eyes.
"Yer tha dame I'm supposed to fight? I gotta say, I'm a bit disappointed. I was expectin' someone a bit more... warrior-like."
That one guy Wrote:"Yer tha dame I'm supposed to fight? I gotta say, I'm a bit disappointed. I was expectin' someone a bit more... warrior-like."
"Well, that's just like....your opinion, man." Sokoya would reply, her words drawing out as lazily as possible in her The Dude impression. He was right, of course. Aside from the fact that she carried a blade, the girl didn't exactly look the fighting type. She wasn't a hulking behemoth, she didn't look like a monster, and she didn't have the clothes of a martial artist. Her appearance was that of a common street punk, although perhaps an albino one.
Her opponent, on the hand...
Corvus looked ready to fight. Battle worn, as told by the uncountable scars on his face. The bat he had clenched in his hands kind of gave away his fight style. Probably a brawler, a street fighter. Something more along the lines of her own sort of fighting. Though, she couldn't help but grin at that thought. Her lips parting into a smile that was somewhere between way too innocent, and wicked. But wait...he had an eyepatch.
"Wait! Are you a space pirate? That's so cool..." She'd exclaim, her grin splitting even wider. Though, with the grinning came the drawing of her weapon from her belt loop. A total shift in the way the woman held herself. You could tell in those blood colored eyes that she looked...hungry. Expectant of bloodshed. She lurched forward, strolling towards the man at a leisurely pace. She was still well out of melee range, but given time...they'd meet.
"One, two, Soko's coming for you...."
"Yer kinda creepy, ya know that?"
Still, the captain was mostly unworried. By the looks of things, he had a sizable advantage in both hight and weight. However, the girl probably had an advantage in speed, when she bothered to do something other than walk.
Corvus took the opportunity to switch bats, dropping the bat bag he wore on his shoulder, and replacing the steel Cockblocker with the lighter Pointmaker, a titanium bat wrapped in barbed wire. Leaving the bag behind, the captain strode forward to close the distance between him and his opponent. Once he was with range, Corvus swung his bat upwards in an under-hand swing aimed at the girl's gut.

"Hey now," Sokoya would reply, pausing in her advancement to plant her fists on her hips. A playfully stern look playing out on her exotic features. "You're the space pirate baseball player. Have you thought about toning it down a little?" She'd tease, grinning from ear to ear. But he was all too right, Sokoya was a little creepy. The platinum colored hair, the bright red eyes, the skin that was like porcelain. She wasn't human...but she certainly looked eerily close.
That, and she didn't seem to have a care in the world about the fight.
Oh, right. The fight! Sokoya, so focused on acting goofy, had forgotten that she had an opponent to mutilate. "I'm going to start hurting you now....I'm not quite sure when I'll stop." She replied sweetly, and met the man's advancement after swapping out bats. His weapon of choice was of little concern to the girl, it wasn't like she had different weapons to switch between. All she had on her were a set of clothes and that curved dagger.
The pair finally drew close enough to engage in melee combat, and Corvus quickly took to the offensive. His barbed metal bat brought up and swung out towards her stomach. It was, as far as she could tell, an uppercut extended with a blunt object. For an instant, Sokoya thought about simply flinging herself into his swing. Just to see what sort of damage it could wreck upon her body. Barbs tearing flesh while the hard strike of the metal likely cracking ribs and collapsing lungs. The thought of it caused a rush of excitement!
She stutter stepped as the man swung, hopefully slowing down enough that it would glide by dangerously close. And while this slowed her attempt at closing the distance, it wouldn't stop it completely. Shifting her weight back to her toes, Sokoya would surge forward in the wake of the man's swing. Her kukri being raised up in her right hand not to strike at Corvus, but rather to be placed between her and wherever the weapon had went. If she is able to, she would try to plant the curve of the blade directly onto his weapon, proactively blocking. Ideally, she would try to place her weapon as close to the handle of his bat as possible, but lord knows nothing ever goes according to plan in a fight.
Meanwhile, her left hand would be balled into a fist. A small fist, but a weapon of destruction none the less. Using what little forward momentum she'd mustered since dodging narrowly out of the way of the man's strike, Sokoya would through her shoulder into a punch at the center of Corvus' mass. Stepping with the strike, she hoped to strike him in the chest, just below his sternum. This also happened to be where the diaphragm was, the muscle that controlled the lungs. It would seem the crazy fight was hoping to knock the wind out of the space pirate baseball player.
Should she connect, then perhaps the girl would garner some sort of respect from the pirate. Despite her size, Sokoya packed some strength into those limbs of hers, more than what she appeared to.
The profile Wrote:Obviously not human-
She isn't exactly a powerhouse, but Sokoya isn't weak either. If up against a regular male human (Not a trained MMA artist, for example), she is able to outclass them slightly in strength and speed. If that person is slightly better than normal in these categories(A trained fighter in really good shape), she is considered equal. If the opponent excels in one or both, then they surpass her.
Coruvs let the dagger do its thing, since his bat was essentially useless the moment Sokoya closed the gap between them. In the mean time, he shifted his right leg back a bit further, and brought his robotic left hand around to block Sokoya's punch. Assuming she didn't change something at the last second, it would feel much like she had punched a material not unlike steel. While being Not Human gave her some advantages there, punching steel still hurt most folk's hands.
"Sorry, lass, but you'll have to try harder next time."

Sokoya's fist flashed out...only to collide with the hard metal of her opponent's hand. Just as one would expect from a fighter in Heaven or Hell, the pirate had his wits about him and a quick reaction to her strike. Flesh connected with steel with an audible thud. And while her knuckles didn't shatter under the force by any means, pain most certainly shot through her digits. The girl even exclaimed in surprise, but not likely in the way that Corvus would expect.
It was a soft gasp of pleasure. Soak's eyes would flutter momentarily as the sharp and delicious feeling of pain shot it's way up her hand, only to leave a more lasting throbbing sensation in the limb. It is no wonder that the smile never left the girls face; She was getting a kick out of all this! And it's only natural that she should return the favor. After all, why can't he enjoy some of the sensation that she was experiencing?
Keeping pressure with her fist on the man's robotic palm, she made sure that he wasn't about to move it anywhere just this instant. Meanwhile, Sokoya decided to punish Corvus for using an object not normally classified as a weapon. Seeing as baseball bats lack hand guards, it would be all too easy for her to cause some more serious damage to his hand than what she'd just earned. And that is exactly what she would do. Swiftly swinging the blade down the short length of the bat down into the hand that gripped it.
It's a shame both his arms weren't made out of metal.
Sure, Sokoya was strong. But she didn't really have much momentum to put into this attack. So instead of completely losing the appendage, her slash was much more likely to simply disable it. She could always hope to cut off a finger, mind you. Perhaps something to snack on after the match...
{Theme}
"********!"
It was fairly obvious that while Sokoya may get off on pain, the captain did not. He immediately dropped his bat and withdrew his hand, which was sporting a nice gash across the back. His next action was to grab her fist with his robotic hand, and yank it towards him and to his left, while simultaneously bringing up his left knee to meet Sokoya's gut. Let's see how much she likes that!

Blood was drawn! The deliciously bright red liquid leaking from her opponent's hand was the sole focus of her attention, if only for a moment. While Sokoya wasn't a vampire, she certainly shared quite a few characteristics with them. This just happened to include a healthy appetite for, well, other people. The moment faded quickly, however, overcame by the heat of combat.
Corvus fought through his pain admirably, even going so far as to quickly turn on the offensive. And he did it so in what Sokoya saw as the perfect fashion. He locked the two of them together, forcing both into the sort of combat that the girl dreamed about. There was no backing up. There was no fancy dodging. It was just trading blow for blow until only person was left standing. It was the sort of combat that she excelled at! And, unfortunately for Jon, she was the one with the weapon.
He tugged her to his left, forcing the woman to shift the direction she was facing accordingly. And, for a moment, her arms were crossed over in a clumsy fashion. That needed to be corrected. Even as he jerked her towards his side, and the awaiting knee, Sokoya was bringing her right arm back around to a more normal position. Though, in the process of pulling it back she might even manage to slice upon the man's cheek if he wasn't paying attention.
Then, she collided with his knee. Thankfully, the punk had seen it coming in time to at least tighten her ab muscles. As much as she relished the sweet pain that the man's strike brought, she knew she was here for a reason. She had to win the fight, and to do that she needed to minimize the damage he did to her. So that she could keep going. So that she could keep dishing out the pain to him! The strike was solid and strong, nausea overcame Sokoya for an instant and her vision swam. But the high that she got from it all was, well, intoxicating. It was motivation, fueling her frantic actions.
Psychotic giggling, occasionally mixed with coughs and grunts, began to fill the otherwise silent car lot. Without the normal Heaven or Hell crowd, the place had gone fairly silent. But now, all that could be heard was her childlike enjoyment. The kukri came back into action, hard. Though she was still reeling from the man's knee, she was in solid position to strike back. Both feet were firmly planted, the weapon had already been drawn back.
She stabbed downward, aiming the point of the weapon towards the upper thigh of his raised knee. Almost at the hip. It would appear that she sought to maim him...one limb at a time. Turn him into a helpless doll that she could play with how she liked. The look in those blood colored eyes told it all.
Yeah, that wasn't something Corvus was going to let happen easily. He had no problem with taking the cut across his cheek, in fact he was probably going to let it scar just so he'd have another one to show off, but being hobbled was not exactly a favorable outcome to the fight.
As Sokoya was bringing her knife down, Corvus was bringing his leg back to its former position, and brining his head forward in a head-butt. There was still a fair chance of Sokoya's knife scoring a cut along the captain's hip bone, assuming she didn't drop the knife, but that was much more favorable than having a knife in his thigh muscles.
[4/10]
-4-
Sokoya's knife had previously lashed out, aimed for the man's outstretched thigh. By bringing that leg down, he'd done little avoid his fate. After all, she had been aiming really high up on it to begin with. The change in positioning was almost nonexistent. She continued with the attack, hoping to plunge solidly into his leg and remove yet another limb from active combat duty. After that there would only be two more to go, though she supposed he could still use his right arm for something.
Back to more pressing matters; The fight. While Sokoya likely plunged her blade into the man's upper thigh/lower hip area, she would be confronted by retribution from the limb's owner. Running out of things to strike her with, it would appear that he was resorting to dangerous tactics. The problem with headbutts is that they rely heavily on landing the hit on certain points of both person's skulls. It's really easy to ******** it up, and even if you don't....you're still dazing yourself.
The first problem with the man's headbutt was that Sokoya was over a foot shorter than he, and in very close proximity. He'd be really having to hunch over to hit the girl. Next problem came from her mostly perpendicular positioning towards him, meaning that the only really available spot he could be aiming for would be her temple. That is assuming he knew well where to hit. And finally, Soak was the proclaimed Bone Mistress for a reason; Her bones were hard as ********!
So while the brute of a pirate was slamming his head down, Sokoya was merely tilting her head towards his chest more and letting him down his own work. Basically, his own momentum would bring his face into hard contact with the top of her head. The face including the easily smashed and broken nose. And while his blow would have the effect of dizzying the girl, weakening her knees some, she would remain standing.
Her wounds were beginning to pile up, but his were accumulating so much faster!
"Gah!"
It's a good thing no one has ever said that Jonathan Corvus was an intelligent man, because that stunt right there would have proved them wrong. He managed ti get himself stabbed, and to break his own nose. The least he could do was return the favor. So, while he was covering his nose with his injured right hand out of reflex, he was simultaneously stepping back with his good leg, and letting go of Sokoya's fist with his left hand. Immediately after he let go, Corvus's next action was to bring his left arm up to (hopefully) strike Sokoya in the face with his elbow/forearm.
[5/10]
-5-
There was nothing like the sensations of a blade as it pushed it's way through your flesh. And while Sokoya certainly couldn't claim to be feeling such a thing at the time, she certainly got an impression of it. She could feel the resistance to her blade, which had pushed it's way into the meat of the man's thigh...and possibly into the bone. His exclamation of pain was like music to her ears, offset by the crimson raindrops that fell from the man's bloody nose.
Sokoya relished moments like these.
But the fight wasn't over yet, and her plaything still had some guts. Even as Corvus reeled back from his staggering injury, he sought to retaliate. A fact that she could admire in the man, though it bought him no sympathy. And why should it? She was here to teach him the pleasure that can be found in one of the less appreciated senses. By the end of the fight, he would have to enjoy it just as much as she.
The retribution was, however, flawed. In his haste, or perhaps because he had no sensation in his robotic limb, he'd not noticed that Sokoya had been pushing against his left arm since the two had locked hands. She wanted them to be tied together. That way there would be no dodging, no fleeing. Just strike after strike. Wounds that would pile up until one's body finally just gave out. She wasn't going to give up this tether so easily. When he released his grip, she pushed forward with her own hand. And while it still stung from striking solid metal, it didn't hinder her from attempting to grip his hand instead, weaving her fingers between his.
There was no way the man was going to get away that easily!
But here is where things get slightly convoluted. One of two things will happen. Either Corvus carries through on his swing with the robotic arm, or he doesn't. If the man does, the robotic limb attached to a HUEG GAI is likely more than enough to push Sokoya back, despite her strength. She is still smaller and lighter, after all. But she most certainly won't give up her grip on that hand of his. If not....then who knows what he would do? Either way, Sokoya wasn't about to let up on her assault. There were still limbs to be maimed.
Pulling hard on her blade, the crazed fighter would wretch the kukri free from the man's thigh. And, after drawing it back, she would hopefully bring it in for another thrust. This time, poised to strike almost horizontally into the left side of his gut. While she still gripped his hand on that side, it made the area virtually defenseless. On the other hand, she was leaving her whole left side open to the man. That was just the price she would pay.
Once again, that was a perfect example of Corvus being a damn fool. However, as had been pointed out before, Corvus was a stubborn b*****d who wasn't going to let a little snag stop him.
Once the captain felt resistance against his attempt to elbow Sokoya in the face, he adapted, yanking his arm, and by association hers, into the path of the oncoming blade. With any luck, she'd either let go, or skewer her own arm. Slightly less preferable, but still favorable, outcomes would be her dropping the knife, or his robotic arm blocking the strike.
[6/10]
-6(66)-
Finally Sokoya's opponent was beginning to think like her. To turn his defense into an offense...or use his offense as a defense? Something like that. Unfortunately for him, Sokoya wasn't the type to call off an attack, or to shy away from herself getting hurt. So while his left would tug on hers just how he expected it to, the results wouldn't live up to his desires. There was no stopping Sokoya's relentless assault.
Corvus, with both of their lefts interjoined, tugged her arm in the path of her blade. Hoping that the girl would either avoid stabbing herself, or to use the limb as some sort of shield. How wrong he was, however. Sokoya saw no problem with maiming herself just for the pleasure of it, and right now would be no different. Her arm went into position, just as he'd hoped, intercepting the blade in it's path. However, upon seeing that she was going to strike her arm, the girl merely redoubled her stabbing efforts. Putting her weight behind it.
Oh yea, and turning her forearm slightly.
The kukri would plunge into the poor girl's forearm with sickening ease. The ease due to her adjustment. She'd shifted her arm so as to allow the blade to pass through the gap between the bones that comprised that portion of her limb. Essentially, all it had to do was push through the meat. And while this would certainly slow her stab...it by no means stopped it. Her blade would puncture through her arm completely before continuing on into the man's gut.
His defense wasn't in vain, however. Besides damaging one of her limbs, he also turned what would've easily been a fatal blow into something far less. It was doubtful that the woman's blade would pass more than a few inches into his gut. But it was a few inches none the less, tearing through abdominal muscle and intestine. Something that'd she done in every tournament fight to date because of it's crippling effects on a person.
Still, there real and serious damage to the girl, which abruptly cut off the giggling that'd been background music thus far in the fight. In it's place was instead a new sound. It started off as a whisper...barely audible. But by the time that her blade plunged it's way into the man, she'd be damn near chanting it.

Unfortunately for Sokoya, a knife through that particular area of the arm was almost guaranteed to sever a tendon or two. Especially with a hacking blade like a kukri. Not to mention the major veins in the arm, and the muscular damage such a blow would do. By stabbing herself in the arm, Sokoya made it a simple matter for Corvus to break away, yanking his left arm away, and propelling himself back with his good leg. He was making a break for his bag, and his ace in the hole that he carried in the bag.
[7]
-7-
So....apparently the attack managed to go through his block....only to miss. Something about the delay on the blade due to stabbing through the meat of her arm being enough to warrant not only registering that you're going to be hit, but reacting in time to avoid it. Didn't really matter. The guy only had one good leg to stand on, it's not like he was going anywhere any time soon. Sure, Corvus could go for his bag. But did he really expect the girl to just stand around, picking her fingernails, while he dug something out of it? Hardly.
"Three four, shoulda locked your door."
John hopped backwards, as Sokoya wretched the blade free from her forearm. The fact that her hand probably couldn't grip anything at this point was of little concern to girl. Nor was the steady flow of blood leaking from both exit and entrance wound. What was important to Sokoya was that she was deprived of a very special hit. One that she was now determined to land, regardless of the cost. Even as she pulled the kukri free, flicking blood across the concrete of the parking lot, Sokoya surged forward.
She wasn't giving him a moment's reprieve. This time, she used the weapon more like how it was styled to be used. Bring the kukri up and swinging it down hard on the man's right shoulder. This would be the same if he had his back turned to her or not. And naturally, she'd be already assuming that Corvus would be backing up, so she made sure to step in with the attack, almost as if to body check the guy to the ground.
"You can hide but you can't run, I'll cut off your legs. Now beg."
Before the pirate captain could even turn around for his bag, Sokoya was on him again. Well Corvus was having none of it. He was ******** through with this chick. So, of course he did the only sensible thing: He tried to punch the girl in her arm that was holding the Kukri. Which, if prior experience told him anything, would not slow her down at all. Still, without any weapons, it was pretty much his best option. Or maybe not but whatever.
