Demonstrating impressive skill, Terran did not let his missed strike go to waste. Rylen could appreciate the Infernal's style as it mirrored the tenets of his own style--don't back away and stay aggressive. It was efficient and brutally effective at close-range. It may have been the last thing someone in Rylen's position would expect out of his opponent, but it was actually exactly what Rylen wanted.
The rotation came swiftly, and with it Terran's foot, talons propped to shred across the half-wolf's face. Rylen roughly predicted the kick's course as Terran came out of his spin, but his hands remained at his sides in no effort to block. The wargkin rooted himself to the ground, the muscles in his legs tightening in a snap. It looked as if he intended to take the full force of the attack head-on, a foolish move given his stature.
But he did so, or partially. His mind still sharp as razor, Rylen rocked his upper body back slightly and tilted his head to the side just enough to throw the carefully-executed kick off target. He would save his eye but the talons would rip into the flesh on the side of his skull. The air around the two fighters reverberated as foot met skull, sending a jolting shockwave of pain down the half-wolf's neck and spine and popping his jaw. Blood and spit blew out of his mouth like steam accompanying a strained grunt. And then there would be a pause as Terran would find the half-wolf's body refusing to budge. The fact that Terran would be standing on one leg with all of the momentum of his spin diminished would mean Rylen would be in a better position to stand his ground.
At first it would not seem like the most prudent response to block a push-kick with the side of his face, but as it turned out Rylen had stationed himself to resist the force of the kick with his entire body propped forward by the most powerful muscles in his body, his legs. Legs that allowed him to reach record-breaking sprinting speeds (for average humans), jump several feet in the air, and deliver a bone-crushing roundhouse kick. It did not seem like it given his size, but this beastly hybrid was built by nature to take a heap of punishment and keep on pushing.
And push he did, using mainly the incredible strength of his legs to keep himself from toppling over. It was not exactly pleasant having Terran's foot nestled practically in his face, but Rylen did not want the Infernal going anywhere. A warcry built up in his throat, his right arm slamming upward against the underside of Terran's leg to push the foot off his face. Unfortunately, this also meant allowing the talons to cut nearly clear across the side of his face, but at an angle sweeping curving upward to avoid his eye. The searing pain of the cuts along with the aching throb in his neck caused that warcry to quickly reach full pitch in a second, bursting out of his mouth in a roar that rivaled the amplified instruments crying out on the stage. Trails of blood were streaming down over his pearly white fangs, and as the foot passed off to the side of his head he would face Terran with blood and fury in his eyes.
One large, stomping step forward with his left foot allowed him to chase any hasty retreat as he brought his right palm down from the block and forward, torquing his body into the attack, the flames on his hand glowing with a vibrant intensity. Rylen screamed out as he lunged forward, throwing all of his body weight behind the attack more in an effort to ensure he hit the target. Even a glancing blow would prove critical, and he did not mean to leave Terran in a spot to avoid the attack altogether before he pressed forward.
"RAAAAAAAAAAH~!"
The very second his burning palm tasted flesh, it would ricochet backwards as the compressed energy gathered within the palm exploded outward violently, spraying hot, vicious flames in all directions--even back on Rylen's arm. The blast itself was potentially lethal if it struck the head or face, meaning it packed a hell of a wallop elsewhere, easily capable of tearing away skin and breaking bones right on the point of impact. Meaning a hit to the chest could be particularly devastating, but given the size difference he aimed the attack squarely for Terran's midsection--the biggest, safest target he could reach in the fastest, most direct way possible. And with Terran left to balance on one foot or right in the middle of placing his other foot down, he would not need to be much more accurate than that. Given the explosive nature of the attack, even a glancing blow could wreak havoc as stated before.
It may have seemed up to this point that Rylen was nothing but a simple, brutish fighter with no other desire than to inflict the maximum amount of damage on his opponent, but in that moment if Terran looked his assailant eye-to-eye he might have caught a glimpse into the half-wolf's soul; a soul severed from any other joy but self-destruction, long separated from the fantasy of peace and respite. A soul screaming for death.
Emo, right?
But after what he had been through, he could not help but put all of his being, all of his passion, and fury, and sorrow, into that attack. He had lost everything else that mattered, leaving him nothing but a belligerent host to his own personal inner demons driving him to annihilation.
Given even a glancing hit as his arm snapped back from the sheer recoil, Rylen would wince as all of the pent-up energy and strength was sapped from his body, a comforting weakness enveloping him as the flames on his hands fluttered out like a candle's flame extinguished.
But there would be no rest, even in the aftermath of his strongest attack.

Summary: Rylen roots himself, slightly moving his upper body and head to take the push-kick head on while knocking it slightly off course. He uses the full strength of his powerful legs to hold his ground before knocking Terran's leg up and out of the way with his right hand as he takes a large, lunging step forward with his left to deliver an explosive palm strike to Terran's midsection with his right palm, detailed below.
♦ Piston Drive
Rylen gathers all his magical energy in his right hand in preparation for this attack. He then delivers a flaming palm strike, suddenly discharging all of that energy with precise timing in an explosive attack of devastating power. Piston Drive delivers enough force to rupture the skin and to potentially break bones at the point of impact, as well as causing intense third degree burns over an area about 8 inches in diameter. The blast of volatile fire is focused outward from the palm, which gives it a slamming force about three times as strong as Rylen's typical strikes. The explosive power imbued in the strike can even fracture hardened defenses like armor at the point of impact. Receiving the blow is akin to having a grenade at considerably reduced power shoved directly at your body when it explodes (this is assuming a realistic fragmentation grenade explosion, not the movie affairs that somehow take out whole building floors; and, again, it is considerably reduced).
Before he can use Piston Drive, Rylen must first attain Ignition Lv. 3. He then must take a turn (1 post) to charge, allowing him to gain Ignition Lv. 3+, although he can not do this in the same time he attains Ignition Lv. 3 (in the same post). After he reaches Ignition Lv. 3+, he can use Piston Drive. Upon completion, Piston Drive consumes all charges and causes Rylen to lose the effects of Ignition. He also can not start to regain his charge level in the next turn (post) immediately after the one in which he uses Piston Drive due to the strain on his magical faculties. The explosive nature of the attack will cause Rylen's arm to recoil violently back from the point of impact if he strikes a solid surface, causing him to suffer damage and second-degree burns to his own arm and shoulder. After one use of Piston Drive his arm becomes weakened, limiting his range of motion and strength with that arm by about half. Using Piston Drive a second time will break his arm, rendering it completely useless. The explosive energy of the attack only causes significant damage within a 6-inch radius extending out from his palm, though the flames will radiate out to 5 feet.
