Ten Post Match

Field: Foreign Car Parking Lot

FIGHT!

2Alexander Tyson

Introduction: The Big Dark Machine!

His hands ran over the smooth surface of one of the cars, eyes looking over the splendid stage that had been set for him. His opponent was smart, fast, and above all lethal and so the giant would have to take care. Standing a whopping 6’6” and weighing in over 348 pounds he was bar far the largest athlete in the tournament, meaning he had a huge target on his back. Everyone would be gunning for him, right out the gate using everything they had to take him down. For once his size won him no real favor, he had nothing but his muscles to compete with while others wielded weapons and magic.

His mitts would have to be hard and his wits sharper then ever, everyone who knew him knew that he could end a match with a single blow, it was getting that blow in that he needed. So them charcoal behemoth stood and waited for this opponent amongst the brand new cars, his body dressed in his normal military attire. Black cargo pants tied off at the top of his black leather boots and a skin tight black t shirt. Rippling and massive muscles bulging from his frame, his pride in his body had no limit, but he couldn’t get over confident or it would end him……

3superpsyco77

He really would have to be smart, because this man would be fighting one of the most well armored fighters to enter the tournament this year. Whom? Was it some giant knight? An automaton perhaps? No, it was a girl of no more than 30 years of age, and she was pulling up right ABOUT...now.

Vrrrrrooooooonnnnnnnn squeeeeeeeeeek. Standing out at the edge of the parking lot was a car of local make, a black sedan driven by a man in a pressed black suite, the chauffeur most likely. He stepped out of the drivers seat and quickly trotted around to the opposite side, opening the door so that the other occupant might make her way out. She felt slightly embarrassed that she was driven to her own qualifying match, but her driver had insisted that he take her for fear of her arriving late. Punctuality was never a trait the Da'Fluer family was to be found lacking.

"Miss! Miss hurry up in there, I think your opponent is waiting!" cried the driver, waving a hand as if to usher her out. He needed to try to put on a suit of armor in the backseat of a car, then he could hurry her.

"In a moment James! Calm yourself!" one leg could be seen flailing about as the woman fastened her greaves to her legs, finishing off by making sure all the clasps were secure. Finally she pushed herself out, dragging out her an over five and a half foot long spear, topped with a finely sharpened tip of cold, cold steel. As if a woman in a nigh full suit of metallic armor wasn't enough her driven quickly let the truck open up, to which the woman walked around and retrieved her shield. The colossus of a man would clash with the plated warrior woman in a parking lot full of cars from abroad. How would the unstoppable force compete with the immovable object? The world would hold with baited breath to see. Straightening herself and making sure her hair was tied back and that everything fit nicely she bid her driver return to his car and park a safe distance away, he was after all not a member of the tournament. The final item she made sure was secure was her arming sword, attached neatly to the belt she wore, a nice addition to her combination of weaponry and armor.

"You must be the man I've been matched to fight." she called out over the expanse of cars, her voice ringing hollowly through the maze of cars. They were only perhaps separated by a measure of maybe 50 feet or so, yet she still had to raise her voice to speak. "I wish you luck sir, may the better combatant prove victorious." and with that she took her spear in hand and flipped the half up to rest under her arm, tip pointed menacingly at her opponent as she raised her shield to protect her flank. She was as ready as she could be. at this point.

{{What hand is the spear and shield in may I ask and what side is the sword on?}}

The Devil glanced at her, eyes admiring the Amazonian armor with pride. He was a general, he knew a good soldier when he saw one and if they all lived she would certainly receive an invitation to his home. Not many truly appreciated the old ways, she obviously did. However as he looked at her and then down at himself his only reaction was a comical gesture of raising both arms up as if in defeat. He had a single weapon, the combat knife on his right hip just behind his pocket but other then that, he demonstrated to her he was not armed. Upon a five second pause he put his hands down and sighed, flashing a cold glare at her as he began to lumber in her direction. A slow and methodical pace of a large man who knew how to handle himself. Eyeing her shield, her spear and its reach, her stance, her hands and upper body motions as well as her stance.

"I don't like fighting Enigmas, I am Samayou."

All the while walking towards her in a casual manner……seemingly defenseless against the weapon onslaught she could unleash.

Introduction Two.

5superpsyco77

((Shield is on the left arm, spear is gripped in/tucked under the right arm. Her sword is also hanging from her right side))

Vanessa was probably the farthest thing from an Amazon as one could get in terms of female fighters, she fit more of the archtype of a Knight-errant than anything else. Hell given her upbringing it wouldn't be a stretch to simply look at her like some sort of retainer for a high ranking noble woman, though in fact it was she who was the nobility. Regardless of her status she quirked a brow at her slowly advancing opponent, never once lowering the head of that spear as he got close. If he got within too close a distance he would be receiving a nasty prod from that tip.

"My name is Vanessa Da'Fluer, of House Da'Fluer. I fight for team Rejection of Glory and for my own honor. I believe that is sufficient to to remove the veil of mystery." she didn't need to give out any more information than that, in fact she really probably shouldn't have said anything. She wasn't here to socialize, in fact she was here because she wanted to do something more than her typical fare of attending social events and seemingly trying to ruin lives because of her ignorance. As a matter of fact she felt this would be as good a time as ever to engage the actual fight, after all the fans just as much as she did didn't come here to watch two fighters exchange words an phone numbers. Raising her shield to cover here torso and bringing her spear to bear about level with her opponents midsection(given the height difference) she would advance towards her opponent, never going above a walking pace for the time being. Each heavy footfall echoed through the parking lot as the metal of her boots clanged and clashed with the concrete beneath her. It seemed that the female armored wall was advancing in a typical medieval spearmen stance, protecting her vital areas with her shield while keeping her spear prepared to strike, her head just peeking out from above the upper rim of her shield. She could see out, strike out, and defend herself all while never opening up an opening to her vital areas, truly an advantageous choice of weaponry in a tournament where so many relied on their melee or physical skills in combat.

So she advanced, closing that distance with slow and methodical steps. If nothing else she planned to simply let her opponent waste all their energy trying to get past her defenses, so there was no need for her to waste energy by running about or charging in stupidly. Slow and steady wins the race after all.

Combat Post 1

The clock began to tick as the Devil moved in, his steps getting wider as he analyzed the fight ahead. He could see all the moves in slow motion, feel the sweat that was about to cover his body. He had size, power, she had speed, and weapons. She was young but skilled she was taking her time, not drawing to close as he continued to stride forward towards her. Five feet from the tip of the spear he moved, lunging with an athletic speed near impossible for a man his size.

Had she done her homework on him his official stats where 6’6” tall and he weighed in at 348 pounds, yet he did not look that big? No he was almost perfect form, athletic and strong not a meat head of bulging useless muscle. His body moved with a grace of an Olympian, sliding to his right as his left leg pushed him off and then pushing forward trying to come in on her shield side. He would force her to turn to her left, to swing the spear around at him. He could handle a shield but a spear was more troublesome.

Fast and quick he was going to be light on his feet, eyes never leaving an over all view of her, admiring her form and watching for signs of movement. His hands about chest level, relaxed and calm. He was slightly hunched forward in a grappler stance, ready to pounce on a moments notice as he moved into the threat range of the spear.

7superpsyco77

As far as she had been taught the key to victory against any foe, be they man or beast, was being able to keep yourself composed and being able to keep the movement of the battlefield in your own favor. Vanessa would never allow an opponent to enter in so close to her if she didn't absolutely have to, as was her biggest advantage at this stage was her reach and striking power. So it would come as no surprise that the young woman would strike out first as her much larger opponent slid into range, not wishing to allow him an unharried approach. The attack was very simple and quite quick, though this was made infinitely easier by her choice of weaponry.

It was a simple poke, nothing more, a mere thrust of her spear out towards her opponents abdomen, which if it were to connect would pierce no farther in than a quarter to half an inch before she pulled it out and set herself back into her defensive stance. In fact she really hardly had to shift her stance at all to preform such an attack, it took but a mere slight movement with her Right arm followed by an equally small pull back to accomplish her goal. She didn't care if it was flashy, she could save some over the top moves when she had an opportunity. for now she was going to whittle down, tire out, and hopefully bleed her opponent out before he managed to overpower her defenses.

Combat Post 2

The advantage of a 6’6” frame…you had a long ******** reach.

He shifted in and as he did she turned to poke at him and try to keep him at a distance. As he had expected and hence why he had kept his hands read. The moment the spear started to come near him his left hand shot down and out. Catching the spear just past the tip and while holding it parried it outward to his left and down. Channeling the momentum of the poke away from him, now it was a game of strength and patience. He was now maybe a good 5-6 feet away from her, the tip of her spear in hand as his right stayed chest level and ready. Holding her spear and a solid glare at her eyes, waiting to see how she would respond. Assuming she would try to step back would only be met with him tugging to keep her in the spot she was in.

His grip was solid, like an iron vice and it was safe to say no matter how hard she tugged that spear was not going anywhere unless she tried to maneuver it up into an arm bar of sorts, staff training taught you a lot. She was armed to the teeth and he lacked a lot in this fight, but what he did have was experience and over all tactics, he had to play her just right to win. Being too aggressive here would cost him dearly.

9superpsyco77

Ah yes, the large man had caught her weapon in his grip. She had expected something along these lines, at the very least she hadn't expected him to simply sit there and let her poke him in the gut with her sharpened wood and steel stick. And while she was never going to be able to tear the weapon free of his grip with pure strength along she really didn't need to, she had managed what she had wanted to do, and that was keeping him in one place long enough to get a good bearing on him. Instead of trying to pull back on her weapon she let her right hand off the shaft and tucked it under her Right arm as she...charged right at him. Well it wasn't really a charge, she only had about 5 feet of wind up space and she wasn't exactly lightning quick, but for a woman in over 40 pounds of armor she was fairly lithe, because she was bearing down on him damn quick.

Providing she managed to get to her opponent he would find her shield bearing down on him like a solid metal wall, and while she didn't have an immense amount of force behind it she was still quite strong for a 5'6 girl, and combined with the weight of her armor and the weight of the shield itself it would make for a painful and quite likely staggering blow. What made it even worse was that just prior to impact, providing she got that close, was that she would lift her shield bearing arm up to let that upper lip catch under his chin for a nice solid metal uppercut. Then again, if he let go of her spear to deal with her she could just as easily let the shaft drop down into her unoccupied Right hand to deliver a nasty thrust right into his gut. It was as if both sides of her were equally dangerous, weapon or not. That was what made her a quality fighter, she had multiple ways of denying her opponent the chance of obtaining combat superiority. Perhaps there was some truth to her being some sort of Amazonian, at least in spirit. Likely because it took some guts to run down a man with a heads worth of height advantage and over a hundred or more pounds in weight difference.

10Alexander Tyson

She had confirmed all he really needed to know about her, she was but a youngster against a very experienced and large man. It would be size that came into play now, strength, power, and over all ruthless aggression.

The second she let go of the spear he tugged it, yanking it from her with impressive speed so it went flying somewhere behind him. He could hear it clank to the ground some 20 feet behind him but he had his attention elsewhere.

Then she charged at him shield ready and he knew what was to come, he had already planned this and it would prove his power. She had what, 45 pounds of armor maybe and over all weighed around 130 he guessed? He bench pressed twice that weight alone and more so the weight was not a problem. He breathed out at the last second and tucked his head low and to the left, avoiding the shield that collided with the meat of his shoulder and right peck. However only the lower part of the shield hit him, meaning most of the force of her charge from the center of the shield was avoided. He also threw his weight forward into the impact as his 349 pound frame held off her charge force with raw aggression and strength, almost like a counter charge by thrusting into the attacker instead of standing still and absorbing the blow. His legs shaking but steady as he held her at bay, and now she would pay.

The moment of impact she would feel two distinct grips, one would be on her left thigh, just below her butt on her left leg. The other was under her right arm pit, near the side of her right breast. Once a hold she would feel gravity give as the monster of a man lifted her up easily 4 or 5 feet off the ground, threw his weight forward and pulled her hips towards him to send her spine first into the ground!

This was a classic spine buster, powerful and effective even more so with a man of his size and ability. Even with armor to protect her the very force of impact would rock her in that armor and possibly knock her out in a single throw. He was not sure how combat worth she was but the thousands of scars on his body told his story, the ache in his shoulder was rough but nothing he did not mind. If his slam worked she would end up on the ground with the wind out of her, body a crumple mess of pain, and he would take a step back to catch his breathe and rub on his right shoulder. Giving her space to stand so he could attack yet again. This was a tournament of martial skill, not survival and so there was no need to get on top of her and kill her, rather let her get the chance to defend herself and prove her worth.

{{Classic Spine Buster so I will be taking the close range charge to the shoulder but only the lower portion of the shield is really going to catch me. I assume since you let go of the spear by hand and I tugged it there is no contest that I disarmed you there? If so let me know and I can edit.

Combat Post 3 woohoo!}}

11superpsyco77

Even David had trouble fighting the mighty Goliath, and this match would be no exception to the timeless story. She was lifted up and there really wasn't anything she could do about it, sans the occasional struggle with her legs, though such an action was largely futile in the grand scope of things.

"Oh bother." that was all she got to say before armored spine met pavement, causing her to smash spine first into the pavement, bouncing and rolling several feet away before she came to rest flat upon her face on the pavement, right next to one of the parking lots many cars. She stayed motionless for several seconds, thoughts hazily and hurriedly running through her head.

Where am I?

What just happened?

You have to wake up, wake up girl!

This can't be the end for you, you haven't even started!

Get up, you still have a fight to win.

This cannot be the end...

What seemed like a myriad of voices ranging from her father to herself one stood out above all else. It was faint, but closer than the others, likely because it was coming from nearby.

"Get it Lady Da'fluer!" cried James, her driver from behind the spectator line. He was the only member of her "Family" present here, only because her father had insisted that she have some sort of retainer. She stirred slowly, one eye opening after the other as she groaned and struggled to get into a sitting position.

"Yes! Go Madame! you can do it! Make us proud!" that was the cry that rang in her ears, the cry that caused her to slowly stagger to her feet. Metal armor clanked and creaked as she righted herself slowly but surely, wobbling for a second or two as she got back unto her feet. You see, Heaven Or Hell wasn't about always winning, in fact it was about survival. Not about the struggle for life or death, but the struggle to see who would be standing at the end of the round, when that bell rung and when the lights dimmed. It didn't imply victory, it implied showing who was more willing to suffer and sacrifice for their chance to win EVERYTHING. She was not about to throw everything away, to throw away her first and maybe only chance to attain victory because she was too weak to get up. So she stood, head scraped from a nice run along the ground and the air knocked out of her, but she held her head high. If there was a crowd they would likely be cheering, everyone could relate in part to the struggle of the little guy(or girl) against the overwhelming opponent. She took a minute to shake her vision back from the blur to look down and make sure everything was attached. She still had her shield, but it seemed that her polearm was missing.

"This isn't good." she thought to herself as she scanned the ground for her weapon, noticing it a good ways m -beyond- her opponent. She would have to get by, or through, this man to get her weapon back. She had her sword, but that spear was her best chance to obtain a clean victory. she just had to think of a way to get it back. She wasn't going to simply stand around and let the man think about what she was going to do, though, she was going to act quickly and decisively. How would she get past a man with at least double her weight and size? Well, she was sitting by a car, which likely quadrupled his weight -AND- could be set into motion. Without a second guess the young noble ran to the drivers side of this particular car, which looked to weight in at about half a ton, perhaps a bit less, before using her shield to smash open the window. Reaching her free hand in she would pull the emergency brake off and pop open the drivers side door, making sure to set the stick to neutral. Bracing herself behind the door she would begin to push with all of her might, and slowly but surely the car began to move.

"Don't...underestimate me because of my size!" she shouted as she heaved against the light foreign automobile, the car gaining speed as it barreled down towards her opponent at probably around 3-5 miles per hour, pushed by this tiny armored woman. she was lucky these were foreign cars and not larger things like trucks, or she would have never been able to push it as fast as she was. Special delivery! If he didn't move this man would find himself barreled over by a car, which while not moving fast was still heavy enough to cause some serious damage, but even better, it would cause some havoc and let her move across the lot to retrieve her weapon. If nothing else, it was a damn car battering ram, she had to have earned some points for that.

12Alexander Tyson

SLAM! Metal and concrete collided as the woman went tumbling away and the Devil stood, eyeing her body as he shook his arm. Rubbing it a little from the impact of the shield.. After a few seconds when he was done stretching and she had stood he began to walk away. She went for a weapon, so did he. As she got to her feet he had strolled over to her spear and lifted it up. Eyeing her with a stern face as she busted her shield into the window, her butler screaming for her to stand.

“Bravo Madam, you have the crowd and your family behind you…but I’m still standing.”

Then the small woman began to fiddle with the car and started to push it towards him, his eyes watching with a grinning expression, she was a tough one. She was desperate and acting out with anything she could, for whatever reason he was not sure. He was about 30 feet or so away as she started to push the car at him, standing where with a cold expression as he breathed deep, eyeing her position with a smile. With out warning as she was struggling to push the car he took a step forward, hoisting the spear in his right hand and then, flight! He held his form perfectly, years of practice as he sent the spear hurling tip forward directly at her body! He had aimed for the mid section thru the window she was behind pushing the car. Like a 4 foot long bullet it buzzed towards her and would impale her lower stomach, a fatal wound if not treated.

The car was slow and massive in size, he was a good twenty feet away and by no means would simply stand there and get hit by a car with out doing something. However he did not interrupt her, he let her down up until the car was 12 feet away and then hurled the spear before side stepping out of the path of the battering ram.

Combat Post 4.

13superpsyco77

That would have been a good play on her opponent's part, however he had overlooked one very key crucial aspect of the woman he was throwing that spear at. While the window of the car had been shattered it had been replaced by another, quite solid surface, namely that of her shield. In order to accommodate her pushing that foreign junker around she had to put her shoulder into that door, and that left her shield to occupy the majority of the space that the window had once occupied. While the fit was nowhere near exact it still left her midsection amply protected as her own weapon came flying at her midsection. She didn't even blink in the face of such a lethal projectile, instead using that right hand of hers to jerk the wheel of the car to follow where her opponent had sidestepped, or at least in the general direction. You see she had never held any high hopes on actually hitting him with the car, it was merely a tool she was going to use to close the distance and, when he moved out of the way, to pin him into a tough position.

That was right, she was driving that car into a wedge with another, effectively trapping her opponent in a small wedge of open space with little room to maneuver on either side, with her blocking the only opening out, unless he wanted to climb over the cars on either side of him, which only let him open to the woman and her attacks. But first she had to deal with both her own spear and the positioning of her trap. Her own weapon would clash with a metal clang against the metal of her shield, sending shock-waves through her arm that caused a great deal of soreness, but otherwise left her midsection and body intact. Her spear had, however, taken a nice chip out of the metal of her bulwark, and the tip had been damaged enough to necessitate repairs. Yes it was still lethal, but the metal tip had been bent as it deflected off her defenses, making stabbing a little harder. Still it clattered off her shield and unto the ground, the woman simply pushing the car past as she directed it using her other hand on the wheel to for that wedge shape spoken about earlier. The car would collide with another with a loud CRASH!, headlight meeting headlight as plastic shards littered the asphalt, but the wedge had worked. This man would find himself in the small tip of the open angle left by the impact of the car against another, his only way out now blocked by this girl as she peeled herself off the car door, kicking it shut with one foot as she took a step back, moving with a sidestepping motion to position herself directly across her opponent and his path to open ground.

"I like to think that I have a little more than the support of those around me. Pardon the expression, but you seem to be between a rock and a hard place." it was true, she hopefully had positioned her massive opponent into a makeshift corner, with her blocking the only easy way out. This was made worse for him by the subtle sound of her drawing her arming sword from her hip, once again raising that shield to cover her upper torso. However now, in a style that many might recognize as one similar to one used by roman soldiers, she had positioned her blade flat along the upper edge of her shield, arm poised up and back to hold it there. She would advance one step at a time, closing the maybe four or five foot gap between them until she got within striking range. If her plan hadn't worked and somehow he had avoided her little car-trap she would still find herself safe from lethal harm and would still have drawn her sword and raised her shield in a similar fashion. It was a little tougher to maintain the stance given that her sword was about a foot longer than a gladius, but it wasn't impossible, merely a tad uncomfortable.

14Alexander Tyson

Big yes, but size was not a hindrance to him. Many assumed it was but a man of his size trained in an area for his size so being able to perform agile feats was not hard for him. The beast of a man lunged forward, his left foot reaching out as his right firmly shoved off the ground. Running up the front end of the car and over as it crashed into another behind him. Like a black blur of flesh and mass he was up and over, leaping off the back end and tucking his shoulder in as he free style rolled off the back. He was on his feet and facing round back at her when she drew her sword. Eyes cold as he stood to his full height whilst she placed the edge of her sword on her shield. Classic roman, he should know…….he taught it to them.

True the man known as Samayou Tamashii was in fact mortal now, he was not the demi-god of physical prowess he normal was. The HoH Council had demanded all participants lower their bodies, Sama had complied but because his body was not the same did not mean his age had changed, he was still 4,707 years old according to earth time. All that knowledge, rich history and wisdom was still with him. He had taught Achilles how to fight, her style was nothing knew to him.

The black man of power relaxed himself, arching his hips forward as he spread his stance wide and fluid. Arms by his side almost dangling as he cocked his head and relaxed, counter acting her style with his own fluid one. Relaxed like the water, fluid and gentle but lethal upon impact. His gaze tore into her, ripped thru her armor and shields, he could smell the sweat on her body, imagined the soft feminine skin, she was a spectacular specimen, a worthy mate. But he was not here for love, he was here to break people and make it to the top, after they could speak about future relations.

“Pride, Honor, Strength, Cunning…you possess all of these. Admirable all of them, traits of not just a fine warrior, but a beautiful person. If only the rest of humanity was like you…come…show me more.”

Combat Post 5

15superpsyco77

Problematic as it was that she had failed to pin her opponent in place Vanessa couldn't be discouraged by her lack of progress. She spun about, metal boots grinding against the pavement as she preformed an about face so that she once again faced her opponent. She wasn't very confident that she could simply waltz right in and get to stabbing, after all this man had already proven that a shield didn't seem to stop him when it came to the act of tossing her around. What she needed was something to prevent him from getting the opportunity to grapple through her defenses. He seemed strong enough to likely just grab and toss her shield to the side if her wanted, so she had to rely on the range granted by her arming sword.

This particular sword had an advantage that her spear didn't, however, in that it was a finely crafted double edged sword. That was right, only a fool would try to grab this blade. While it wasn't exactly a razor sharp sword it was certainly sharp enough to cut hands if someone tried to pry it away from her, and the tip was just as pointed and just as lethal as the one on her spear. She advanced, metal boots grating against the pavement with each step as her pace quickened to a trot, sword still raised high right up until she got within striking distance...and then she let it fall. Not out of her hand mind you, but her stance dropped when she was just out of range, almost as if she was ducking. Her shield had come up to cover and protect her face and upper body, ideally making her even harder to grapple as she brought her sword down in a low sweeping cut aimed at cutting her opponent across both of his shins. However she wasn't finished, because even if he jumped back to avoid the cut or to the side, she had turned her wrist and brought the blade upward in a nice backhanded rising crescent slash which would ideally drag right across the length of his torso up and into his left shoulder before she backed up and pulled away.

16Alexander Tyson

The Devil watched as she closed in, ducted and then reacted! He saw the shield lift, knew what was coming, and went on the offensive. The only flaw in her attack was sight, she had no concept of where his location was if she raised the shield and so when she lifted and swung she would look under her shield to see only air. She could see shadows above her followed by his attack!

349 pounds of weight had lunged forward the moment she lifted the shield, jumping into the air and tackling her to the ground! His right hand shooting under and catching the bottom rim of the shield to lift it up further! In his lunge he had spread his legs a little when he jumped forward, allowing the inner portion of his thighs to catch her torso as well as her sword arm. She had held the blade in her right hand and swung across meaning her arm, before the back hand swing, would be across her body. If his planned work she would be in a bad position.

His attempt would be to take her to the ground, if it worked she would land on her back. Her left hand with the shield pinned in an extended position above her head. His entire mass upon her chest, her sword arm pinned between her and his legs with the blade behind him and not a lot of ability to move the arm, and his left hand freely clenching around her throat. He had not gotten close enough to exam her armor but was confident there was an open area near the neck where he could sneak his hand in and grasp her throat. If he could do this then he would simply sit there, on top of her, crushing her throat and body with his weight and strength. His right hand holding her shield arm down, strangling the air out of her in two ways. One was she had all his weight on her chest, two was the vice like grip on her throat.

Now that sword was a problem indeed but if he pinned her arm down it would be near the elbow, meaning she could not wiggle her arm or hand enough o force the blade in a way that could really puncture skin. He was an expert in Greco grappling and take downs, performing moves like this was his daily practice.

{{Pretty much I am jumping at you to avoid being slashed below and take you down from above.}}

17superpsyco77

The only problem with his take-down was that when he went to grab that shield of hers her would find that it hadn't stopped moving. The problem with jumping was that when you jumped you sacrificed your ability to control your weight as effectively as you did when you had both feet planted on the ground, and the great thing was this effect snowballed. The heavier the weight flying at you the more difficult it was to suddenly shift the mass of whatever item that was. In this case it was a 349 pound dark skinned man trying to pin a woman half his size to the floor. It was certainly game over if it happened to her, which was why she had to be quick on her feet and sharp in her wits. As soon as she lifted up her shield and saw that there were no feet where there should have been feet she immediately sent her other arm, sword and all, up to brace against the back of her shield, as she was going to need both arms to do this proposed maneuver. For as she did this she did her best to boost her speed with a burst of energy and effort from her armored legs, sending her surging forward even quicker at her opponent.

You see she wasn't going to hopefully need to try and counter his strength, not if she could his own large frame against him. Given that burst of speed she would have surged forward, shield raised and braced with both hands right at his chest, not giving him the moment to try and wrestle control of it from her. It was only then that this mountain of a man would find that instead of stopping and taking the girl to the ground his weight was continuing to move, he was...still flying? No, because Vanessa had wedged her shield into his midsection and, with great effort from her arms was diverting his body and his momentum up and over her head, her shield as the leverage. It was a great undertaking, quite physically taxing, but doable considering she had a wide surfaced shield and both arms to help her, that and he hadn't much leverage to use against her since he was in the air. Up and over her body he would go, flying headfirst over her presumably into the ground behind her, maybe landing on his head hard enough to perhaps just end the match now. she highly doubted it, but given how much force he had put into his tackle and how it was now being used to throw him rather uncontrollably into the ground she hoped it might at least leave a nasty bruise. Speaking of this motion sent waves of pain through her body, especially centered in her back and her shield arm, both of which were struggling to cope with the added weight that were temporarily placed over her when she diverted this man and his tackle. It was quite painful and for several seconds she felt as if her arm might give way, but it did not. She would defiantly need to see a doctor to see if any permanent damage had been caused by her being thrown earlier.

As a follow up she would turn her body to face where her opponent might have landed, sword poised to strike the moment she saw him move on the ground. No taking chances on this one.

The Devil smiled, holy s**t, she knew how to counter act take downs! He had not expected such a response but as he felt his body go flying forward he knew what was coming, his breathe relaxing as his abdominal muscle crunched his body in, tightening as he went flying up and over. Tucking his head as his upper back landed on the pavement, it sounded like a car crashing! His massive frame slamming into the ground as he grunted, his legs coming over his head and the curve of his spine allowing him to roll right back up to his feet! He had not expected that because in her stance and style he didn’t think she had the physical strength to throw him, it was impressive.

However what good was his size if he was not athletic, hence the very specific training he did for a man his size to obtain at least a measure of agility. As she whipped around she would find him already to his feet, his back slightly to her. His right side facing her, head glancing over his shoulder from about 5-7 feet away. He stretched his back abit, feeling the bruised muscle with a sigh. Eyes cold and precisely eyeing her sword hand, watching her movements and the shift of her shield. After the Spine Buster, and now that, her back had to be at its limit, in fact one more spinal injury from him would be sure to put her down for good…..that was exactly his plan.

“Not bad, for someone so small. What else you got?

{{Sneaky little son of a. XD I was gonna grab the shield as i went over but figured it would not work, o well guess Ill try again. XD Combat Post 7 now.}}

"What do I have? What I have is finally managed to do is learn something for this encounter. Up until now I believed that if I were to put enough pressure upon you that you would slip up and allow me to take advantage, all while simply waiting out whatever you have thrown at me. However it was not until just now that I realized that if I am to defeat the unstoppable force I cannot simply be the immovable object, I must make use of the only force capable of stopping you. Yourself."

She moved her Right arm back from behind her shield, sword still clutched in her grip as the tip came to rest with a clack against the ground for the moment, her shield still raised.

"So come then, see if you can recover from being tossed about by a girl so much smaller than yourself." That was it, go for the ego. She never said that her old tactics had been ineffective, so there was no reason to not hope that he might slip up and become careless. Besides, this was a tournament, the so called 'trash talking' was just a natural part of the whole experience, even for a young woman of standing such as herself. In preparation Vanessa would raise her sword up, holding it right below her bust and off to her side, tip pointed menacingly at her opponent. The weapon rose and fell ever so slightly with each breath that entered and left her chest, though her nerves did not fluctuate in the slightest. She was as confident as ever, reinvigorated even by her recent accomplishment!

“Pain, stress, lack of clarity, all these factors are why most warriors in a pinch go into a state of blind motion. The thought process of precise movement goes out the window and feral instinct takes over. Mind Games? That is what you wanna try? I may not be my normal self but I am still 4707 years old, I wrote the book on Combat Psychology. Try Again.”

The Devil said this while slowly approaching her now, each lumbering step a dare for her to attack. What most would say about this fight is that, this is not Samayou? The Sama they knew attacked, always in the face, always beating things down but that was always against someone who had no weapons. This woman wielded a metal shield and a fine sword so sharp it would slice through his muscles like butter. He had his style set and she had not yet noticed from what he could tell anyway. He moved and once with in what he estimated was her swing range his arms lifted to about chest level, palms facing her and ready to grapple. His stance spread a little as he inched closer, awaiting that attack and if nothing came then she would have missed her chance.
