1The Female of the Species

Ferris (TEAM NAME PENDING) vs Sokoya Ramak (TEAM SUCCESS)

Quote:** Wrote:

Ohia Forest

The Isle de Gambino is well known for it's sugar sanded coasts and expensive hotels, but there is a more tropical beauty waiting further inland. Up in the tropical mountains awaits Ohia Forest, an ancient land with tree dating centuries old. Many a legend have been from it's very soil.

Fallen giants, sharp rocks and water-rotted flora litter the floor of this forest, making it difficult for quick, unimpeded movements. The ground is a soft, moist mud, making even the lightest warrior sink an inch deep. The canopy above hinders most sunlight, but does nothing to shield from the frequent rains are so famous to the climate.

Be sure to bring bug spray.

General- A beautiful forest composed of slippery elements to challenge even the most graceful fighter.

Weapons- Tree limbs, twigs, ferns, mud and rocks.

Natural Element Resource- Earth, wood, water.

Bonus Effects- Five posts in a down-pour decides to grace the stage, lasting until the end of the fight.

A newcomer to the arena of combat and Heaven or Hell itself, Ferris, self proclaimed Sky Rogue, would make his way towards the meeting spot for the preliminary fights. Specifically, his preliminary fight. Oddly enough, against a former team mate. Once a member of Team Success, Ferris was switched out once it's leader realized Ferris was still a little wet behind the ears, more so then the man Fas would have liked. While no hard feelings were held on either side of the parting, Ferris still couldn't help but feel a little ripped off. However it also gave rise to a new opportunity. Instead of simply fighting through the tournament as a back up fighter and with a sense of superiority due to team name, he was now a proud member of Team...Name Pending? He still wasn't sure if that was the actual name or if his team captain had failed to enter one.

Either way, his opponent for this round was the one team mate he never really got to know in Team Success. Sokoya Ramak. From what he had been told she was crazy, and her favorite dish was flesh. He had secretly hoped to never meet her, but when she asked for a match, he couldn't really refuse. So now here he was, hoping through the trees to his destination, following his phone like devices map. One might mistake him for a ninja the way he jumped from flimsy tree limb to flimsy tree limb, however it was all a trick. His powers allotted him certain physics breaking skills. He wasn't sure what his opponent could do, so the fight should prove interesting at the very least.

He would soon arrive at his destination. A section of the Ohia Forest for their fight. He would wait patiently on a mostly dry rock for his opponent.

3The Female of the Species

"********?!"

A frustrated voice rang out through the seemingly endless forest. The lamenting of one Sokoya Ramak as she noticed how completely ruined her pair of Chuck Taylors were. This was easily the dumbest idea for an area anyone had yet think up, and she had already made a mental note to pay the man responsible for it a nice visit after she handled her business. Pissing and moaning aside, the girl trudged her way towards the preliminary match, dodging around the occasional fallen tree and massive boulder.

Her attire was about what you'd expect for a city girl. A pair of skinny jeans, and some sort of retro throwback shirt. Preworn, of course. And a pair of thick horn rimmed glasses without the lenses. She went full hipster this week, which was unfortunately her only option from the closet that she raided. Finally her delicate little nose caught wind of something up ahead. Magic of some sort, though it was pretty weak. Blinking, she'd slow her stride and glance around. Naturally her bloody gaze would find it's way to the already waiting Ferris.

"Oh, hey."

Her reply was one of surprise and underwhelming enthusiasm. The casual glance at her wrist mounted FIGHTER confirmed that she was at the correct fighting place. More importantly, there before her was the teammate that wasn't meant to be. What was his name again? Didn't really matter. He seemed like a cool fellow, more than any of her other teammates, but this was more about the dance itself. Not the dance partner. Still, she'd flash him a smile, putting on the cute little girl routine.

"You ready?" She'd ask, idly twirling a strand of her silver locks around her finger. If he'd bother trying to size the woman up, he wouldn't be able to guess too much. She was armed, though it was nothing more than a kukri tucked into her belt. No armor to speak of, no fancy technological devices. She wasn't even physically imposing, short and slender as she was. At the very least he could gather that she was supernatural...or albino. Along with her white hair and red eyes, the girl's skin was like porcelain. Pale, but in a creamy flawless white that shouldn't really be possible. Yeah.

Ferris looked up as his opponent came stamping through the foliage. He was instantly thankful for his ability to move so easily through this area. She covered and mud and bits of other things from the forest. As well she seemed to be dressed as a hipster for some reason. Who would do that for a fight? He gave a little wave, barely holding back a chuckle.

Ferris himself looked more fit to fight, dressed more like an adventurer. He wore a padded jacket and steel gauntlets as his only form of protection, and a spear at his side. He was similarly slight of build, but also a bit tall. As for physical traits, the only thing off about him was the deep yellowing of his eyes, as if he had jaundice. This wasn't the case, as it was actually a result of the same mutation that gave him his flight.

He jumped off his rock and landed in the mud. His boots, unlike the Chuck Taylors Sokoya wore, were meant to be used and get dirty. So a little bit of mud on them didn't even bother him. "I'm ready as ever I suppose," he said bringing his spear in front of him. "Shall we dance?"

5The Female of the Species

Man, how the hell did he manage to get here all clean? It was a valid question. Sokoya looked a hot mess in comparison to her opponent, something she'd taken until just now to notice. While she was at it, she'd take note of the man's spear. A weapon she wasn't too fond of. She preferred to get up close and personal in a fight. It was so much more...intimate.

Rolling her shoulders, Sokoya would begin to stride towards Ferris. A cruel smile pulling on the girl's lips. She'd never really been one for small talk, and so she was a bit eager to get down to business. To her, fighting was like a drug and she was craving a fix like none other. Right hand would slip to her waist, gripping her kukri and pulling it free. It wasn't much compared to the man's spear, but it was surprisingly good at blocking and cut flesh about as well as one could ask of it.

And she was hoping it'd do just that. But first, she'd have to actually get a hold of the b***d. People who fight with spears are the defensive type. Always backing away, trying to keep their distance. Soak knew she'd have to work around that. So her stride was slow and steady until she was a little out from what she guessed was his reach with that weapon. Then, she'd burst forward, trying to dash and close the distance. The kukri was raised to her chest in a sort of defensive fashion, her left hand outreached. Assuming she got close enough without some sort of crazy st happening, she'd try and grab a hold of his tunic/shirt/whatever the ******** it was he was wearing. That way he couldn't escape.

These were the moments she lived for; The rush of a fight. The sudden rush of adrenaline, the panicked breathing. Grunts of exertion. Most important of all...the pain. Glorious searing pain. She'd have gladly impaled herself on the man's spear if she thought it would've been worthwhile. But she wasn't the selfish type. She knew that a fight was a two way street. When you received, you had to give. Equal trade or some bullshit.

This was... amateur hour. You don't charge a guy with a spear. Who does that? Crazy people. And people who don't care. There was something in that woman's eyes for just a brief moment before she suddenly lunged forward that made Ferris' skin crawl. She was fast though, Ferris had to give her that for now. Though how long would that last with her trudging through the mud of this arena. They would see soon enough.

Ferris made sure to keep track of her with his spear, following her as she circled first. When she suddenly jumped forward, that surprised him. Like it was said, who charges a spear? However, Ferris was most likely more agile, and quicker as well. His powers made that possible. On instinct his powers would activate, and that thing called inertia would stop applying to Ferris for a second. He would suddenly move back rather quickly, but not very far. Just enough to reposition his spear once more towards the oncoming Sokoya. A simple move really. His feet would practically glide over the muddy earth, making the move seem, odd, if she was watching.

However he also knew it wouldn't be that simple. That would be too easy. Chances were she was going to deflect with her blade, then try to get in close. Her outreached had was grasping for him, and it was a tell he could use. So instead of holding his spear in an iron hard grasp to try and impale her, he would hold it just loose enough so that if she did knock the point off course, he'd be ready to come back around and readjust quickly.

7The Female of the Species

Sokoya never claimed to be a professional. Hell, the 'lady' was pretty much the antithesis of a professional. She didn't follow the rules too often. She didn't purposely put on a good show, or act like a good sportsman. The girl didn't even have any formal training. She fought off of instincts, for better or worse. And sure, it'd managed to get the girl all sorts of messed up. Pretty sure there was a time when her whole chest cavity was open and on display. And yet, she usually managed to keep up with her partners.

At least he got the crazy part right.

Her charge certainly left something to be desired. Each step was sluggish, and came with their own batman-esque sound effects like 'shlorp' and 'schluck'. Meanwhile, her opponent glided backwards effortlessly, keeping his pointy stick between the pair of them. What was once a smile would quickly fade away. Replaced by something of a dejected snarl. Blood red eyes became slanted as she eyed her opponent.

She'd smelled his little magic trick. Oh yeah, she knew something was up. She couldn't piece together what exactly it was that he did, but she had some idea. She had dated a guy before that could do a bit of flying. Had some special organ in him or something. Soak had pierced it with a blade. Penetrated him like she was going to hopefully penetrate Ferris. And what's this, he was loosening his grip on his pole? Did he wish she hold it for him?

No way!

Her charge continued, despite his backing up. Trudging on, her kukri's curved blade being kept perpetually between her body and his spear's point. Should he try and thrust at her with that thing, she'd hook her blade on it and pull to the outside. At least enough so that she doesn't get run through. And yet again she'd try to get a firm grasp on the man's shirt near the shoulder.

8Zerogamer

She...didn't do anything? The hell? Well, playing defense was apparently out of the picture. Ferris suddenly felt a bit at ease. Was she a berserker of some sort? Fueled by some insane lust for blood? She didn't try to get out of the way of the spear. She really wanted his blood. Well, he couldn't really giver her that. So instead he'd giver her the business end of a spear. So onto the offense it was.

Ferris would suddenly make his own charge, except with a bit more style in it. Sokoya was charging, which meant she was only contributing to helping impale herself on a spear, as well as in this mud it meant stopping and turning properly, or maneuvering at all, would be a pain. Good thing Ferris didn't need that. He would suddenly change direction and jump forward, going for a stab at her mid section. Again though he knew she wouldn't just let him stab her though, and would probably block with the chest level weapon, and try to grab Ferris.

However Ferris wasn't going to have any of that. As he leaped into his thrust, he would continue to leap, and suddenly Sokoya would find out what Ferris could do as he proceeded to not only stay in the air, but rise slightly through it. What for? Positioning. The thrust, while still dangerous, was almost a feint, to open her up. Assuming she actually blocked by sending the spear wide, he would then proceed to introduce her face to his boots with a simple but powerful rising front kick. He was only a few feet off the ground. Enough to give him a good height advantage, but not so much that just ducking the kick would be easy either.

Assuming she dodged the spear thrust, he would do a flip in the air and land softly behind Sokoya.

[2]

9The Female of the Species

To say that she wasn't doing anything would be to lie. Sure, she wasn't acting like her usual overly aggressive self, but she was rusty. Can't blame a girl for trying to work out the kinks in her limbs a bit before she got down to the real nitty and gritty. That and there was little else she could do but try and get in close to stabbin' distance. Something that Ferris wasn't too fond of. And rightly so!

However, it would seem like the stars were aligned for Sokoya, or some bullshit like that. Rather than continuing to retreat, he instead charged at her! Er...sort of charged at her. Flew at her? Whatever you wanted to call it, at least the man was moving in the right direction now. The spear was weakly thrusted at her, and feint or not she blocked it like she'd planned to. The curved blade of her kukri catching it near the point and pushing it off to the side. But with that being the feint...what was the attack?

Ferris continued to float upwards, aiming to fly right on over Sokoya and presumably land behind her. In the process, he would bring his boot up in a sharp kick aimed for the girl's face. Falling back on that trusty instinct, the girl did what she does best:

Abilities Wrote:

-OM NOM NOM NOM- As stated before, Sokoya eats people. Her mouth is capable of morphing slightly to accommodate this, allowing for her to make bite attacks. Her teeth turn shark like, and her jaw widens/unhinges. It can become large enough to take a baseball sized chunk out of someone if given the chance. And, as long as she bites off enough to warrant a swallow, she also drains the target of a small portion of their life force.

Gagging from the force aside, Ferris was literally shoving his mouth into this now gaping wide death trap, full of nice sharp teeth ready to flay flesh from bone, and separate foot from leg. At least he was really careful about getting mud on himself? Either way, Soak didn't have the mind to let go of the clamp she now had on Ferris. His foot might not be removed yet, but at least it wasn't going no where.

But wait, there's more!

Seeing as the man still had quite a bit of momentum, Soak couldn't just stand there and nibble on his toes all sensual like. Stumbling back, she'd stumble with her unsteady footing. Spinning about as best as she could in the muck. The result being that she was turned roughly 180 degrees and pulled down into the earthy mess along with her foe. Not quite a flip and 10 point landing, but it'll do.

Assuming that both of their clothes were now ruined, Sokoya would do her best to try and pin the man's spear into the mud with her blade. In the meantime, she would now pull her mouthful of Ferris-foot free and swallow it down boot and all. Should put a hamper on his hoping about!

He couldn't say he felt. Nor really surprised. Though something would nag at him. Like he should have known. He's not sure how he should have known. But he should have known. Of all the places to kick, he kicked at her head. Which apparently is snake/shark like in it's construction. By some sheer luck, maybe just that, luck, or his rubber boots, his leg wasn't sawed in half yet. Instead he just had tiny daggers clamped down around his foot. What was with these fights and getting his legs injured?

Ferris could not let this slide. He might be able to fly, but he sure as hell wasn't just going to arbitrarily loose a foot. With the vice like grip now around his lower foot, he was anchored to the ground pretty well. He had planned on just going over her, or her reeling from the kick. He felt himself begin to be dragged around as she stumbled to stay standing. However it seemed that his kick still worked for the most part, and her footing was still bad.

Brilliance, at that moment, hit him. Instead of letting her fall, which would have dragged him down as well and into a position he no longer felt even remotely comfortable with, he used his flight to stay aloft. Luckily Sok wasn't to heavy. Also luckily, her teeth were deep in his foot. Hopefully the hold would keep her in place just long enough as well. His free foot would come up and then shoot down as hard and as fast as he could straight towards Sokoya's eyes, making sure to push down a little with his other foot to keep her from swallowing that one as well.

However, should that prove ineffective, he still had his main weapon. A stomp hardly took any thought to do, especially when you're in a lot of pain and something is trying to eat you from below. If she was going to attack from below though, he would attack from above. Pulling his spear back in closer to him, he would change grips on the pole arm so that he was now holding it with the point facing down, towards Sokoya, poised to strike down at her from above. Either her head or body, it didn't matter. He couldn't go down like this this early in the tournament.

[[EDIT: Aw son of...you made me use a turn of full flight. Jerk.

Flight: 1/3]]

11The Female of the Species

Well....thank god he wore rubbers. On a totally different note, Ferris might find Sokoya a bit more heavy than expected.

More profile stuff Wrote:

I got big bones- Sokoya is considered to have tougher than regular bones to begin with. Human bones are, by nature, as tough as most metals. Their flaw comes from their hollow center. The woman doesn't have this problem, as her bones are far from normal. Rather than having a marrow filled center, Her bones are hard all the way through. This makes them capable of standing up to more conventional weaponry. This does make her heavier than what a girl her size would normally weigh, however. Something of embarrassment if anyone ever notices.

Still, it likely wasn't much to make a difference in regards to him flying around. There was the matter of her teeth chomping down onto his feet, her whole weight supported by nothing other than her rather powerful bite. Powerful as that mouth was, rubber boots seemed to be pretty solid armor. So there Soak was, dangling awkwardly in the air as Ferris opted to keep flying over taking this to a ground game.

Probably a good idea.

It seemed like Ferris wasn't the sort of guy who gave out free rides though, as he raised up his free leg and bring it crashing down onto her eyebrow/eye socket area. An incredibly painful blow, that much was obvious. She'd only had moments to see it coming, moments to react. A bit frantic, she'd lash out with her kukri, hopefully slashing along the extended leg even as it connected. She didn't really have any hope of blocking it after all.

But every storm cloud has a silver lining...or something. Between the kick and her weight, Sokoya would slide off of the man's bitten foot. In the process, she'd likely take the chunk she'd bitten down on, or at best flay off plenty of the meat there. And with nothing left holding her in the air, Soak would fall back down to earth. Landing on her back in the mud with a wet sounding thud. Clothes officially ruined, she'd smear the blood that painted her lips across her sleeve and tumble backwards, worried about getting pinned there by that stupid spear of his.

Oh yea, and her free hand would start spasming. Fingers twitched about erratically, clenching into a fist every so often. Finally she opted to build a charge. "C'mon on down cutie, let's have a real dance." She'd called out, licking some of the remaining blood of her lips as she did so. By now her teeth were back to their previous state. She looked once more like a cute little girl...with a nice red mark marring one of her eyes.

12Zerogamer

Mother god damn holy sweet baby Jesus, that hurt. Not the sword slice, though that did leave a fine line through his pants and drew a little blood, no. The pain came from the fact that his foot was now almost half eaten. Half his boot was gone, along with most of his sock, and several pieces of flayed skin. Even as she fell he knew he couldn't let this harm go unpayed. He wasn't going to eat her too or anything, that would be uncivilized and barbaric. He was a more refined gentleman. He also kind of hoped that kick at least made her see stars.

As she landed Ferris would move his left arm off his spear and point it straight down at Sokoya's temporarily prone form. As soon as he did, Sokoya would suddenly find that her weapon arm would feel like someone was holding it down.

Quote:** Wrote:

Ferris Reach - A pair of twin iron gauntlets with silver inlayed ruins. With a subtle magical touch and a bit of will the gauntlets activate. Ferris can "attach" magical springs or elastic bands between his hands and other objects. They allow him to push and pull said objects with as much strength as he could muster himself. In leyman's terms, these are gauntlets enchanted with telekinesis. If Ferris is attempting to pull an object being held, the object can be pulled back, like a tug of war.

Range: 25 feet

Usage: As a pair, only one use can be used between them, either push or pull.

Exceptions: Can not be used on magical objects or exposed organs, only skin.

In essence, Ferris was pinning her arm from a few feet in the air, and he would hold it there. As he held it he would suddenly shoot down, much faster than Sokoya had dropped, another burst of his flight powers. He could move faster than gravity made him fall. It was all to gain time and speed and advantage to set up his attack.

As he fell his right arm would aim the spear to strike through her gut, just a little off the side, more towards her pinned arm. He didn't want to kill her outright, but as a shark woman he felt that she would survive it. Again though he felt that even with his speed and superior positioning and pinning, she would get out of it somehow. So he had a back up attack. If she dodged that, he would just kick her in the gut with his good foot. Widen his base of attack and all that. Maybe make her puke up his boot. He liked that boot. The kick would be a similar style stomp as the kick to the face, meant for maximum downward thrust.

Regardless of how he landed, his powers would go off for now. He didn't want to get to spent with them and be at to much of a disadvantage. He could already feel the fatigue sap into his muscles.

[Flight: 2/3 - ending]

13The Female of the Species

The sweet taste of blood filled the girl's mouth, only to be soured by rubber and mud. She'd managed to get a mouthful alright, and as much as she liked to swallow Sokoya didn't think she could stomach that. So as she landed, whatever managed to stay in her blood dripping mouth was spit out from the impact. Of course, her original plan to tumble out of the way was quickly shot to s**t as she felt a sudden strong pressure on her right arm. It was as if someone was trying to pin the limb to the ground.

The smell of magic flooded the air, choked her nostrils. Ah...so you do have some more tricks, Sokoya thought even as she noticed that he'd shifted in the air to point his spear down at her "Well st..." She murmured, barely managing to spit that out before he was plumping down at her at what was turning out to be an alarming speed. Eyes widening, Sokoya's instincts told her to take the spear dead on. Let him thrust it into her, puncture her, make her bleed a bit. But she knew better than that. Fasumbra wanted her to win or some stupid st. And so she reacted.

Of course, the reaction had been hesitant. She wasn't going to be fast enough to dodge his thrust completely, but it was a lot better than getting a spear shoved through your guts. Though her arm was for the most part stuck there, she could still move the rest of her body so Sokoya would fling herself to the left, essentially rotating her body around a point that was under her head. Even so, she could feel the blade's edge slicing into her side in a beautifully deep and rich cut.

Hot sticky Soak blood would soak his blade, pouring out properly from her wound as his weapon presumably continued to stab into the mud. Feeling it cut into her, Sokoya let out a sound that was somewhere between a gasp and a moan, and she had to fight to keep her eyes from rolling back in her head. Not wanting the man to leave again, she'd reach over with her free hand and grasp the man's spear, doing her best to keep it stuck down in the mud with her. In the meantime, she'd also kick her foot up at him, pushing through the pain to hoist her lower half up and give a thrust kick at his mid section

Oh, and by the way, she'd have a little surprise coming out the sole of her left foot.

Cool stuff, bro Wrote:

Bone Spike- Sokoya's bread and butter, she is only able to produce them from long portions of her body. Out her elbow or palm, bottom of her foot or knee for example. The spike produced from these points, after a round of charging, is roughly a foot in length. Costs 2 MP

Fair trade, right?

As Ferris landed on his one good foot between Sokoya's body and her pinned arm, he felt the spear go through something that wasn't mud. Saw it too. A rather nasty gash. A beauty of a hit really. It would still be damaging, but like he expected she had gotten out of the most serious damage she could have taken. He took a brief moment to grin and to think of something clever to say...until he noticed Sokoya begin to move and grab a hold of his spear. Oh s**t.

Things...slowed down for him. And not in that cool adrenline spike kind. He had cut off his flight, which meant the restriction he was under for his flight use suddenly kicked in. For the next few seconds his limbs would feel heavier than normal, a little less agile. He wouldn't be clumsy or brutish, but he wouldn't be very agile either. He was normal for the moment. The world didn't slow down. He did.

That didn't mean he couldn't try to react though. He still had slight advantages. He was standing, she wasn't. She was severly injured in her mid section, he wasn't...yet. He couldn't see the actual danger of the bone spike coming, as it was mostly behind him and out of sight. He did see her begin to twist her body and move her leg for the kick. He knew what was coming, just not the severity of it.

He would begin to tumble forward as quickly as he could. It was almost more of a fall then anything. On one leg, and with less agility than normal, as well as in mud. His gold on Sokoya's weapon arm would break as he tumbled, but he would hold onto the spear. The good thing about his spear was it was barbed. Even if she held it, she couldn't hold the whole thing up with Ferris on the other end. Chances were it would follow Ferris down and away, pulling and tearing with it's barbs on the way out.

However, this all proved to have the roughly same effect as his opponents move. Only mitigating and moving the damage. Instead of stabbing him through the side, it would slice right through his back. His padded jacket offered little support. So now when Ferris landed from his tumble roll, on his back, he would be in even more pain. Giant gashes across your back were not good.

He would hopefully land several feet away, covered in mud and with a large gash across his back, but alive.

[Flight Fatigue: 1/1]

15The Female of the Species

A beauty of a hit, that much Sokoya could agree to even if it was happening to her. The girl wasn't modest about her ability to take sharp objects, after all. But it was a pretty damaging blow and as much as she enjoyed the sharp pain that was radiating all through her torso, it still did a good job of hampering her mobility. She'd probably also bleed out if left unattended to for too long. Don't even get her started on organ damage!

So perhaps it was best to try and end this fight a bit quick like.

That was the original goal of her little kick, hoping to tear Ferris's stomach open and let his tasty guts spill out over the ground. A bit of a waste, of course, as they'd end up covered in mud but you know what they say. A little ground spice makes everything nice. She wouldn't get her meal, of course. Ferris was still a little too light on his feet foot. At least she managed to carve up his back a little with it, an in return got a little taste of the essence of the man.

How many abilities does she have? Wrote:

Down the drain- The final way for the Bone Mistress to regain charges is through brutal offensive use of her abilities. She is able to use the same draining process from her bite attack through one of her bone spikes. But there are limitations. The spike still has to be attached to her, and it has to actually penetrate an inch or more into her opponent, so as to get to the good stuff. If using [Bloody Knuckles], the effect is not compounded by multiple spikes on the same limb. Fulfilling these conditions, she is able to steal a portion of their essence, and return 1 MP.

As for that spear of his, it'd pull free as he tumbled away in about as gruesome manner as one might expect from anything with barbs on it. Bits of pale Sokoya flesh would be left dangling from it's sharp points, improving on it's appearance if she was one to judge. Still, she maintained her grip on the shaft and so the Bone Mistress would be yanked a bit along with his tumble. And while she didn't opt to attack him, she would move to grip the now bloodied spear with both hands. She wasn't about to let him get away!

Oh yeah, she'd do her best to sit up facing towards him, legs splayed out in Ferris's general direction. And start charging for her next attack. Time to get serious!

Just to reasses the current situation as to make sure no one is confused, Ferris is currently laying down on his freshly wounded back in wet mud, one arm holding onto his spear, freshly ripped from the side of a shark woman. Said shark woman, Sokoya, is now sitting up facing Ferris and holding onto the aformentioned spear.

Sounds good. Ferris however wasn't keeping this accurate of a roll in his head. Right now he was trying to ignore the gouge in his back, the mud in his wounds, and the general sense of horror from fighting a cannible woman. A weird thought really. You always thought of canniables as dudes. Who would have thunk it. Sucking in a breath Ferris would look up(?) towards Sokoyo behind him. As he did, the breath felt like it cleansed away the fatigue in his muscles, and suddenly everything felt just a little lighter again.

Time to get fancy. With his powers now accessible once more, Ferris would begin to rise as quick as he could. The pressure was on his opponent from what he could tell. She had just taken a grivious wound to her side, though her constitution seemed higher than his own. As soon as he began to rise he could already feel the warmth of the wound on his back. It was dulled thanks to his friend Adrenline and some cool mud. Still, he had to try and power through.

As he rose he would have his legs raise quicker, making it so that he would be inverted first. This was to get a clearer look at Sokoya, and a clearer shot. His free hand would raise, and once again the gauntlet would activate, pulling on her face this time to have her bend further forward, and keep those teeth away from what Ferris would do next.

As he reached his inverted position he would continue through, rather than stopping. Hopefully getting Sokoya's head into position, he would continue his flip and aim a good old fashion front (flip?) at the back of her hopefully exposed head. Crazy flips and s**t. As for the spear, well that was in tug of war territory, so he simply kept a grip on it simply to avoid loosing it.

17The Female of the Species

With a loud crack, lightning lit up their surroundings. The following deep roll of thunder heralding a very sudden and unexpected downpour the likes of which Sokoya should have seen coming like two posts ago. Despite the thick canopy, it would seem that the pair was set to get drenched in quick order. Odd that it does so well in blocking out the sky but ran just seems to fall through. Aside from some wet clothes though, it was doubtful that the heavy rain was going to affect their fight much...

So anyway, Ferris would stumble and tumble past Sokoya, coming to land laying down in the mud in a way that was pretty damn similar to the Bone Queen not too long ago. Between her own shifting and the tug on the spear, however, she was now turned around and sitting facing towards the man as he climbed back up to his feet. Foot. And as he did, the pair would lock gazes. Despite her blood leaking wound on her side, the woman's face was one of fierce intensity and more frightening; Hunger. Her side was cut up to s**t, sure, but it wasn't something that would hold the girl back mentally. No, she wasn't out until she she was out cold.

The man began to float up into the air again, an ability that Sokoya wasn't growing any fond of. Moments later a familiar stench filled the air. The same scent that marked her arm getting pinned into the ground fill her nostrils even as she felt the pressure on her head. He was trying to force her head down, pinning it towards the mud. She'd make a sex joke here, but she was actually a little concerned about a KO blow coming. Seeing as her last sight of him had been of his rising, and that he was trying to get her face pointed towards the ground...

Attack from above?

Yeah, attack from above. Soak opted to make the best of a bad situation. Using the downward force he was applying to her head, the girl would tumble. She was kind of the flexible sort, after all. And it wasn't easy, that's for sure... and she likely wasn't going to have much mobility after pushing herself to the point, but she couldn't help herself. She was a glutton for punishment after all! Tumbling like she did, Sokoya would presumably duck under Ferris's impressive aerial gymnastics. And while she idly wondered why on earth they'd opted to drop the guy from her team, she'd see about finishing off the fight here and now.

As she tumbled, naturally her legs would come back around. About the time that her bladed foot was pointed towards the man in the air, Sokoya would use that charge she'd just built up.

Final one, promise Wrote:

Bang!- Sokoya, having already used [Bone Spike] and produced a spike somewhere on her body, can charge up yet again. This time, to shoot off the spike in question. The force and speed that the projectile utilizes would be similar to a shortbow. Nearly impossible to avoid in close range, but if the opponent is expecting it at mid range, it is dodge-able. Costs 2 MP

Now for your consideration, the pair were still in a tug of war for the man's spear. With her firm grip on the weapon, he really wasn't going to be able to dodge much without accidentally allowing her to adjust for it. Of course, he could abandon the weapon, but that's another risk. Decisions, decisions...

Combined with the sudden down pour and flash of lightning, landing that kick would have looked simply epic. The sort of finishing blow that was written of in stories of olde, of great duels between the forces of good and evil. As the valiant knight smote his foe, a bolt of lightning would split the sky, and seal the evil's fate forever more.

However it would seem it would not connect. From his position he was able to follow Sokoya's form throughout his kick. He had an inkling in the back of his mind just before she did it that she might. It was the smart thing to do. If fact it looked like she was skipping just ducking and going straight to rolling, and as the bleeding wound on his back reminded him, she had a spike coming out of her foot right now. He wasn't aware she would be firing it off, but he wasn't sticking around to let it cut through him anyways.

Knowing in advance that his attack would fail, he would be able to begin recovering from the failed kick early. He couldn't stop it entirely, but he would begin to slow it and move to the side to avoid what he thought would be the incoming cut from her leg. Up until then he wasn't actually too sure how she had done that. He had assumed some sort of blade up her pant leg. As he moved to the side though to avoid it he saw the damn thing rocket out of her foot and into the air.

If he wasn't as fast as he was or as free to move, that might have actually impaled him, and if it was sharp enough to rip clean through his jacket and skin, it was sharp enough to pierce him. However he didn't linger on it long. He felt the spear in his hand begin to pull away from him as Sokoya flipped away. He held on though. If she was tumbling as she was and holding the spear, that meant her arm would be twisting to try and keep a grip on it as well, or her grip would have loosened to let it spin freely without that.

It a sudden moment of realization, as he moved to the side he would pull hard on the spear. If her grip was slack, it would slide free and hopefully cut her hand with it's sharp barbs and edges. If she held tight, then it would most likely cause some stress and pain in her arm from over extending or some such thing. He wasn't acutally an expert on that, he just assumed it would. Either way he would also fall back to the earth and land on his bottom. He didn't want to risk landing on his good leg and twisting it, he still needed that, and he didn't want to extend his flight to much more and risk more fatigue.

19The Female of the Species

If Ferris paid enough attention to what he'd originally thought was just a blade poking out from her skinny jeans(Which would be a feat in of itself to hide one in), he might also catch a glimpse of the bottom of her foot as well. Her shoe torn to shreds with the production of the spike, and now with a gaping hole in it where the spike had come from. Blood seeped out awfully slow, and the wound was quick to heal shut. Far quicker than should rightfully be possible. It didn't help the pain though. The sweet delicious tearing of flesh.

It was what she lived for.

Even dwelling on the sensation for a moment caused the girl to salivate, the taste of mud and rubber long since forgotten. Unfortunately for her, the man would breeze past her fast moving spike. Her gambit on using the spear to guide herself falling short of expectations. However, she wasn't about to let go of the weapon. It was clear that the man's long pole(arm) was her lifeline to him. He was a dancer fighter, one eager to dart in and out or fight from afar. But he just wasn't willing to give up the spear, and so as long as she had it, she had him. Call it stubborn stupidity.

So he'd jerk her to the side a bit, it might strain her muscles a bit when he did it, and make her tumble look even more awkward, but she wasn't in danger of having her arm pulled out of place. Even better, the man decided to come back to earth. Perhaps having a crazed cannibal dangling from you while you floated around like a pinata turned out to be a worse idea than a bit of mud wrestling. Another thing that Sokoya had to feel good about. Struggling up to her hands and knee's, the girl would press her kukri clenching hand against her side. Figuring she'd probably have to hold in something. They always did that in the movies.

The Bone Mistress felt the weakness creeping out from the wound. Pain being slowly replaced by a sense of numbness. Not good. Had to try and do something fast. She'd wounded and maimed Ferris, but it just wasn't enough. Lurching forward, Sokoya would keep her weight on her hand that pinned his spear, now all but fisting the massive mud pit. Meanwhile, she'd bring her kukri up and away from her wound and chopping down hard at the other man's hands. Even as she did so, fresh pain arced through her side.

A reminder that she had work to do.

He had to give this to Sokoya. She was a scary b***h. Framed by a downpour, bleeding quite badly and still going after him, and bones shooting out of her body parts. It was a pretty terrifying sight, and if Ferris wasn't already in pain, soaked to the bone, and getting tired, he might be more scared. Maybe it was also because he felt he was winning. Oh sure, his back was going to be killing him in the morning, but at least he hadn't taken a spear to the side.

He looked up at Sokoya's stumbling form. He felt a mixture of pity and amusement. She was badly wounded, and this shambling attack of hers wasn't as refined as it probably should have been. Nor did it seem she was thinking clearly. He could see the strangely curved blade coming towards his hands. The hands covered in steel gauntlets. However he didn't want to risk it either way. While he was sure his armor could deflect the blow, he didn't want to risk them sliding up and cutting his arms, plus it looked like he wasn't getting that spear back anyways.

Without the effects of his flight fatigue Ferris was still just as fast and as quick as he could be with a hurt back. He would let go of the spear and perform an impossible slide backwards, using his flight to propel him back and away from crazy woman. Then he saw it. His arms already out stretched slightly, he aimed one hand towards the incoming weapon swing and pushed. In the most ideal circumstance she would be caught off guard so bad she would somehow injure herself. At the very least, it would just deflect it further inward and increase her recovery time from the attack further.

After that he would do a flip backwards and gain more distance between them. He had lost his weapon, and decided at that moment to start bringing in at least a dagger or short sword or something with him for the remaining fights. Right now he was unarmed and completely on the defensive until he got a weapon back. He would hold both of his hands in front of him and hover in the air to see what his opponent did next.

21The Female of the Species

Scary b***h. Truth be told, it wasn't the first time that she'd been called that. A portion of the fun of tournament fights was to revel in the revulsion that her opponents felt. Watching them squirm about as she gleefully jumped into harm's way just to get another taste. The horror in her eyes caused chills to run up and down her spine. So what if she sometimes played up the part, it was all in good fun. And if there'd actually been a crowd, she'd bet they would be cheering her right along. Ever since the Dark Tournament, she knew that this was where she felt at home.

Whatever Ferris ended up thinking of the woman, she would claim his weapon from him with her erratic swing. She was almost disappointed that the man let go, even if that was the whole point of her attack. And to make matters worse, he went back to that floating thing that he did and fell out of reach. Before he went, he did give that small parting push, causing the woman's attack to bury her weapon to the handle in the mucky muck.

But hey, now she had a spear!

Falling back onto her but, Sokoya would bring the weapon around so that it's still bloody tip would be pointed at it's previous owner. Raising a slender eyebrow she would actually grin at the man. He seemed to be biding his time, unsure of what to expect from her. To be frank, she wasn't too sure about that herself. Eyeing the man over, she'd finally call out. "Wanna come down and chat?" She could feel the weakness creeping into her legs now. And as tantalizing as she made that sound, she knew she didn't have much steam left in her to be jumping around after a floating man.
