A faint trail of shimmering purple sparks drifted along the street on a non-existent breeze. They dipped and twirled before balling together in front of the hotel entrance like autumn leaves trapped by a gust of wind. The sparks merged together, creating a portal of shimmering light from which Juunikyuu emerged.

Her scarred bare feet padded softly along the cement, blue eyes drinking in her surroundings as she reached to brush a stray piece of purple hair from her view. Her left arm was partially bandaged and hidden by the bellowing material of her robe. On her back, two thin, silvery cross shape scars could be seen on her shoulder blades and Juunikyuu winced a little as she rolled her left shoulder.

She paused briefly outside the entrance to the hotel, suddenly acutely aware that she was being watched. Turning, her eyes widened at the crowds that had already begun to gather outside the hotel. There was hushed whispering amongst them which steadily grew louder.

"Isn't that Juunikyuu Leviathan?"

"The Angel Senshi? She fought back in the '06 tournament!"

"Is she competing this year?"

Juunikyuu smiled weakly and waved at the crowd that began shouting and calling her name, bombarded by questions as she gave a brief apology and hurriedly walked into the main lobby of the hotel.

She winced as a camera flash caught her off guard and growled, rubbing her eyes, blinking a little to clear the spots in her vision. As her hands dropped back down to her side her eyes widened a little. It was almost as crowded in her as it was outside.

The Senshi caught a brief glimpse of who she assumed to be Vahn Fah and the red hair had to be Lady Sierra. There were other faces that were familiar to her, people from the Stadium. She smiled before stepping further into the lobby and making her way to check in.

"Excuse me, sorry, can I get through? she asked a small group of reporters, careful to not step on any of their equipment.

"Huh, what? Oh right lady, yeah let me ju-" One of the men turned and then stopped mid-sentence as he caught sight of who was talking to him, eyes widening a little before regaining his composure, "Juunikyuu Leviathan?"

Juunikyuu swallowed and nodded, "Er, yes... Would you mind if I-"

By now several of the people around the man had also turned to look at her and now there were a flurry of cameras and microphones all pointed in her direction.

"Ms. Leviathan, Barton News Central here, where have you been?"

"Juunikyuu, Ms. Juunikyuu, this is the Durem Bugle, are you planning on competing in the tournament this year?"

"Ah, well you see... Er..."

The Senshi looked around her a little uncomfortably, not used to this much attention being thrust upon her. sweatdrop

**Location: Crimson Hawk Hotel Bar Time: *Sunset***

"FAMILY."

He couldn't help but give Silver a small shove from behind jokingly- his declaration more than he could stand at the moment. There was such a thing as cups runneth over, and the Murmillion was definitely ready to move on. The youngster was unimpeded however and whirled around with just as much enthusiasm as before.

Then an almost ear-splitting shout seemed to encompass the entire lobby, and he found himself narrowing his right eye in annoyance. It was as if every jumped up jackboot with some amount of skill always seemed to be drawn to this place every year like clockwork. In all honesty, the old Vahn would have yelled right back at the b*****d and told him to go jack the nearest horse for comfort. He smiled at the thought, even as the memory of the last stranger he went talking to came back to him- putting his stomach into a knot and his head to start to hurt. No...rather not deal with another shapeshifter...or drug addict.

"HEY! SHUT YER DUMB a UP!!**" The words had left his mouth before he even realized it, his voice carrying through the lobby and cutting right back at whoever the hell had even hollered in the first place.

He blinked and watched as both Silver and Miranda started making their way into the bar area of the hotel lobby, a path definitely cleared now as the smell of alcohol and food delivered a one-two combo that he couldn't resist.

"NOW LET'S EAT! And drink! I bet I can eat more than you, Miranda! BRING US SOME MEAT! MEEEEAAAAAAAAAAT~"

"I refuse to believe you can eat three deer in a sitting."

These guys... He smiled faintly, even as he ran a hand through his hair. He had a feeling Sierra's account was going to be a bit light on funds before the night was over.

The restaurant located in the Hawk was joined with the bar itself, so it wasn't like they were going to have to crowd up on stools at least. He motioned to a nearby waitress with two fingers, delivering a toothy grin as she came closer. "Hey- table enough for 5 if you please." The sounds of people laughing, arguing, eating and drinking- it absolutely filled the walls, the noise bouncing back and forth. There was no shortage of glances and hushed voices as the three of them were brought to two large tables that were more than enough to accommodate the group as requested. "You guys get what you want, no worries. Just...maybe no whole deers?"

3Silver Alexander

Yeah, maybe it had been a little too cheesy, but he loved these guys. No changin' that. Silver beamed all the way to the table, slinging his stuff over the back of a chair which he promptly threw himself into. He was secretly relieved that he wouldn't have to consume a whole animal or three to challenge Miranda's appetite... but he'd never admit that. He woulda done what he had to.

"Oh, uh... lucky for Miranda, I guess. Wait, did you request a table for five people?"

Silver could only mentally account for the present company, plus Sierra. Who he suddenly found himself hoping wouldn't take too long with... whatever it was she was doing. This was a celebration of their fond, far-too-long-put-off reunion after all. Deer or not, it was about to get messy and she might miss the good stuff. But who else could there be?

"Who else is coming? Ooh, fried cheese..."

Silver slyly asked the question as casually as possible, pretending to absentmindedly look over a menu. He sucked in a breath and held it, awaiting Vahn's answer with much anticipation. He dared not hope it would be either of their other two long lost team mates. This was already too good to be true. He might not be able to handle it, so he tried to play it cool.

Lady Sierra Wrote:

> 'There are two kinds of people. The hunters and the hunted...' > > > > She was betting that he was the former rather than the latter.

And here he was as his most natural self, not even aspecting the Soul of the Wolf when this tender moment was just dropped in his lap. Of course, it was Silver's comment that had made him hungry for dinner and it was Sierra's expression that made him hungry to unravel the strands of whatever yarn she was knitted from.

Lady Sierra Wrote:

> "Just Lady Sierra is fine."

"Of course, my Lady." His tone and expression were far from teasing at this moment, as addressing someone his senior and especially a lady by their proper title was something that had been driven into him at a young age.

Lady Sierra Wrote:

> "It would seem I'm at a disadvantage however; You know who I am, but with whom do I have the pleasure of speaking? I would settle for a name and a promise that you won't tease me too badly about that ridiculous state you witnessed."

"Once again, my Lady, I must apologize," the young man answered, once again raising a hand to the side of his face as he brushed a strand of hair away behind his ear and returned her playful smile, "but I won't make promises that I don't intend to keep."

He himself was unsure of when he had turned over this new leaf, but it likely had something to do with spending entirely too much time around that rogue James Black and the journey he had gone on to broaden his understanding of the various peoples of Gaia. Somewhere between the mischievous but polite youth he had been and the devious but polite adult he had become the young man had discovered an absolute fascination with finding out the inner workings of interesting people... and there were no more interesting people than those you would find risking life and limb in battle for some intangible goal.

And so what was this woman's story? He knew that she was a past participant in the Heaven or Hell tournament, and she knew that she had close relationships with several other career fighters across various teams and various years. That alone was enough to make him curious about what motivations drove her, but... to have serendipitous witnessed a rare moment of weakness like that... it was like chipping paint on an otherwise perfect image just begging for him to scratch at it.

"Anson, ma'am, Anson Brent. Just a kid with stars in his eyes who used to dream about growing up to be a big shot at Heaven or Hell. You know, the standard fare. I even entered once, years ago... didn't get far." The young man's smile was a bit less deliberate this time, as he absently looked off past Sierra's shoulder at the other group walking away towards the restaurant.

After a brief pause, his blue eyes turned back to the redhead's own.

"Didn't get past Glacier."

5Tei Kae

"Nothing, mom" James actually looked a bit abashed, not a comfortable look for the young man just coming into his own. For any on lookers, it would be odd, as Tellus at worst looked like his older sister. But he looked away so she wouldn't see him weak, his hand going to scratch at his neck, pretending to look around.

Then he spotted her, his eyes widening as he looked back at the entrance to the front desk. When mother picked a spot for people watching, she knew how to pick 'em. "I'll be right back.", his voice deepening in a way that had his sister and mother looking at each other in concern.

"James..." Tellus warned her son hesitantly, he asked for so little normally.

"I know, mom. I will ask first."

But he was already turned around and walking through the restaurant. She looked so much like 'her', but she'd been long gone that it was very doubtful she'd appear here of all places, unless Noah had some VERY far reaching connections to even get an invite to her. But none of that registered on the young man as he got closer, he saw all the people suddenly hounding her. Not even caring what they said, he let loose pulling the energy from the crowd just enough to have them drop to their knees in fatigue and weakness.

"My pardon, lady. They needed to learn some manners." He didn't do anything as ostentatious as bowing, but the implication was there in his other manners. His dark ruddy hair swept his face as his soft gray eyes looked up at her. There was nothing extraordinary in his appearance, leather clad and slacks like any number of other people in the building at the moment, but a quiet intensity that was both distant and reflective.

"James Leviathan, at your service."

6Hogosha No Juunikyuu

Juunikyuu looked around, stunned momentarily as the crowd of reporters seemed to visibly wither around her. She dithered a little, feeling the pull of the energy and looking around for its source. Her attention was then caught by a dark haired young man with soft gray eyes.

Tei Kae Wrote:

> "My pardon, lady. They needed to learn some manners."

"Oh, did you...?" she started to speak but her words fell to dumbfounded silence as he then introduced himself.

Tei Kae Wrote:

> "James Leviathan, at your service."

The Senshi blinked. "... Leviathan?" she turned her head slightly, examining the boy carefully with her crystal blue eyes, "Pray tell me, who is your mother, James?"

She flexed her left hand once or twice before shaking it out at the wrist a little, peering above the heads of the still weakened crowd of journalists, slowly recovering and returning to their feet.

7Tei Kae

"They will be well soon enough." He had already dismissed the reporters but watched as they started coming to. Ever compassionate, he couldn't help but feel more attracted to her, she was as she was. The distance in his eyes faded and a genuine smile graced his lips.

"Yes, Leviathan," he paused. It was obviously a known name around these parts, but it didn't normally get the reaction she was giving him. "My mother?", he questioned, glancing back at the bar, unsure if he should be concerned for his mother's safety, but hard to put it past a childhood infatuation.

"Tellus Leviathan. Daughter of Enki and Faeriun." He smiled pleasantly, not implying any importance to the recitation. "Do you know her?"He was used to being in control of a conversation and this was disorienting but a lesson to be learned.

> "They will be well soon enough."

Juunikyuu looked back at the reporters and true to his word they were already getting back to their feet, dusting themselves off and murmuring among themselves. The boy must've held some sway that she wasn't aware of because for now at least the questions and crowding had stopped. She looked back at him, crossing her arms across her chest as she regarded him carefully, shifting her weight a little as she stood.

The Senshis eyes grew wider and wider as the boy spoke. Her arms swiftly uncrossed and she glanced around the lobby in the direction he had looked before returning to the boys face. She scrutinized him briefly and took a step forwards, "Tellus Leviathan? She's your mother? And she's here?"

9Tei Kae

Stunned at her reading him as well as she did, he merely nodded, puzzlement clouding his gray eyes. "Yes, she's having dinner with my sister. Would you like to join us," finally coming out of it and his disarming charm coming back out. If she was a fan of his mother, he could use it to an advantage...

...wait, if she knew his mother. Finally, his lizard brain took backseat to his logic and reasoning. "You ARE Juunikyuu Leviathan," there was no question to his statement as he fully took in the 'goddess' before him, the living Star, from the purple hair to the tanned and toned body, she matched perfectly every picture from his childhood, unaged. No ageless..

"Mom will be thrilled to see you again."

No way on hell, heaven or earth was he going to call her aunt Juuni.

Tei Kae Wrote:

> "You ARE Juunikyuu Leviathan."

Juunikyuu blinked at his statement and then her face split into a huge smile as she laughed cheerfully. There was no mocking in her tone as she reached a hand to rub one eye and then scratched the back of her head a little embarrassed, "Well young man, I don't know if I can lay full claim to the Leviathan family status, but that is my name, yes. Though I dare say that most of what you have heard of me is untrue!"

She visibly relaxed now, arching her back and rolling her shoulders, Right now? For dinner? Well, I don't want to intrude..." The Senshi paused, worrying her bottom lip a little, "If you're sure it won't be a problem?"

11Tei Kae

James laughed, loosening his own breath. "I think that it would be more of a problem if I didn't invite and she found out." He also wanted to spend more time with, hoping to perhaps to dispel the halo of a half remember dream. Lips curling into a smile, he patted the shoulder of one of the reporters who was now on his feet, but still disoriented. "I hear that Athan is on his way here. You might want to try and get an exclusive." he offered to the man who being excitingly grabbing his gear to go out. Of course, the other reporters heard it as well and they all rushed away. Of course, Juunikyuu was a big deal, being connected to the founding family but Athan...Athan was EPIC!

Once they cleared, he guided Juunikyuu to the restaurant, waving at his family in the back of the restaurant. Tellus and Gabi were engaged in a spirited debate but when she caught sight of her son, Tellus looked to his companion and her eyes only widened more impossibly huge.

"Mom...you okay." She had been paying more attention to her mother than her brother but as her mother slunk back into her seat she glanced up. Another set of gray eyes met Juunikyuu's. "Oh my Gaia..."

"Aunt Juunikyuu?" she questioned, looking back and forth between her and her brother's own stunned expression. She knew what Juunikyuu was to him, but there was no way he'd found her on his own. Time for a family reunion. She waved a hand to the waiter, gesturing for one more, her own expression still speechless beyond the greeting.

Juunikyuu blinked as the reporters dispersed, "Clever boy," she remarked quietly before following her dark haired companion into the restaurant. She looked in the direction he waved and her steps faltered only slightly, heart hammering in her chest as she spotted Tellus with a grey eyed girl. Juunikyuu smiled a small, soft smile as they arrived at the table, reaching a hand out towards Tellus in concern.

The senshi laughed nervously, the hand that had been reaching out to Tellus now returning to scratch at her head apprehensively. "You know, it really... Doesn't feel like I was gone for so long..." she said slowly as she looked at James, the grey eyed girl and Tellus. The girl and James were obviously related, she could see similarities in their features. Tellus stared up at her wide eyed and the Senshi cleared her throat quietly. "Hullo Tellus-chan."

13Tei Kae

At the sight of nervousness, Tellus relaxed. There was just a bit of 'her' Juuni showing through. "Hey sis," she smiled and scooted out of her booth table reaching her own petite self up to wrap the angel senshi in a bear hug around her arms. She did, Juuni would be flooded with happy energy, bursting with joy that Juuni would almost taste. It was powerful and would be overwhelming to just about anyone else except for gods...or an energy hungry star. Even the dark restaurant seemed to spark the lights for a moment before shattering, only to return to a dim as she pulled away from Juuni, tears in her eyes, her voice hoarse. "I thought you were gone..."

The twins remained silent.

14Hogosha No Juunikyuu

Juunikyuu let out an involuntary gasp as the small frame of the neko-jins adoptive sister wrapped around her in a bear hug. Small sparks danced in her vision as she felt the energy surge through her, hungrily being devoured by her core. She hesitated for a second before wrapping her arms back around the woman and squeezing gently before they both pulled away.

"I'm sorry, a lot... a lot happened. I didn't mean to be gone for so long."

Looking at the senshi now she seemed more comfortable, less tense or pained, if anyone had really noticed the small furrow of her brow or constant twitching of her left wrist.

"It's really nice to see you again... and she smiled warmly.

15Tei Kae

The blue haired woman glanced at the twins once released and frowned. "It's not been as long as you might think, but far too long all the same." Her smile brightening as she moved out and gestured for Juunikyuu to join them, making sure to put her in the middle so she couldn't escape so easily. It was all too easy to see what mannerisms of Fae that Tellus had picked up as a mother. "You two sit.." She ordered casually, before waiving their waiter over who proffered the angel water, menu and a place setting. "So everyone ready to order?"

"MOM!!!!!"

Tellus just laughed, "kidding, just kidding."

James rolled his eyes, Gabrielle sighing and just that easily, Juuni was part of the family.
