**Location: Crimson Hawk Hotel Restaurant Time: *Sunset***

By the time Sierra had rejoined them at their table, which wasn't too hard to even find given the sheer loudness coming from the laughter that seemed to roar through the eatery, Vahn would be seen giving Silver one of many hard smacks against his back. He was trying to prevent the choking of the younger fighter who had attempted to swallow an entire slab of meat still attached to an outrageously large femur of whatever unlucky animal had once owned it after they had just both seen Miranda do it- and with hardly any mess one might add.

There was an extra space at the table for the young man with her as if he had already known that she would be dragging the voyeur along. Her intentions had been clear as day thanks to the Soul Bond, and it was high luck that he had even noticed the extra presence to begin with. He was not going to ever admit to that of course.

There was an empty seat next to Vahn himself, and the other chair would place its occupant between Silver and Miranda. There were already several pitchers of water on the table, along with whatever other drinks the other two had already ordered. Several empty plates of what had supposed to have been appetizers lay in front of Silver, who certainly did not look as if he were satisfied in the slightest. There were menus on the table as well, the contents of which seemed vaguely familiar...but certainly representative of the 4-star rating that the Hawk garnered for the place.

"I hope you all don't mind! I brought a friend."

He looked up mid-smack, still wearing that toothed grin of his, before stretching out both arms at both Sierra and the young man.

"Nothing like that," the young man said before raising his head again, "the Lady simply picked up a stray."

"The more the merrier!" he exclaimed, even as he motioned to the empty seat in front of him.

"Your name?"

He patted the chair beside him, as he glanced towards Sierra, before focusing back to hear how the young man answered Miranda. Two whole empty pitchers of water alone were near his person, showing just how badly his thirst needed to be slaked.

2Matanago

Just like zero-telorance forest fire management, it was possible to preventing the Battle Pixie’s every outburst, but that was both resource-intensive and ultimately doomed to fail. Spectacularly. Not to mention unproductive, as Rox’s infectious energy was just as much part of her brand as the literal sunshine and rainbows that came with her magical girl powers.

Her manager instead opted for a less interventionist approach, stepping in only when absolutely necessary. Which made the analogy all the more fitting, because those instances usually involved stuff bursting into flames and endangering lives and property.

That being the case, Mat followed her client a polite distance away into the bar that looked like it was more suited for live, if muted, jazz rather than pulsing club music. Then again, the hotel didn’t look like the place to host a bunch of superhuman brawlers, so maybe that’s just how the turn tables. She scanned the room and its occupants with an interest tinged with discomfort - she liked to feel her Web grow and settle wherever she moved, get a feel for the place, you know? But laying down her ethereal feelers in this high density of magical and otherwise hella buff folks was the equivalent of trying to draw on an Etch A Sketch™ while riding on a bus. Speeding down the highway. During an earthquake.

It was weird, and not very effective.

At least Rox seemed to be making friends. From her seat a couple barstools away with her back against the bar, Mat could keep an eye on the effusive young lady having a fangirl moment of her own with some of the competition.

She quickly grinned as she proceeded to leap off the counter and proceeded to hug this dark-skinned woman who seemed to be just as excited to see her. This move would have most likely caused the two of them to hit the floor hard as she came off the counter with much force.

And get tackle-hugged by one of the afore-mentioned competition? Mat blinked, legs retracted up to her chest to not get snagged up in the pile of excitable ladies.

“Hey.” She said around the straw of her drink (a vibrant green but very responsible mint-flavored Italian soda), raising two fingers off her glass in a quick greeting.

CRIMSON HAWK - BAR - SUNSET

With a quick afterthought, and a blink to enact the change, Raven's eyes were suddenly an ordinary looking blue as she looked up at the newcomer. "Hum... I'm not opposed to sharing." Her eyes could be unsettling she had been told.

She took a long pull from the bottle and grinned "Do you need a glass? I'm Raven, by the way, and you are?"

Yup, up close he was deffinatly worth stalking, not her usual type, but interesting all the same.... and of course talking to him was better than getting drunk enough to lose control xp

4Silver Alexander

Silver hacked and coughed a few times. He gave an enthusiastic thumbs up to Vahn with one hand signaling the "all clear", the femur still in the other, while he regained his composure. Despite the event that had just obviously happened, he refused to be deterred. He turned to Miranda, brandishing the bone, ready fore another.

"Okay, OKAY, one more try! I think I got it this time. I just--"

His bleary vision cleared to find Sierra returning, Vahn already offering her a seat. Despite the short amount of time they had been there, Silver's work tie was already wrapped around his head and hanging to one side. Several of his buttons had come undone to reveal his undershirt, both his sleeves rolled up to the elbows. An ordinarily unbelievable amount of licked clean plates and empty flagons had begun to pile up on their modest table, par for the course given the present company, who were able to consume faster than the wait staff could retrieve. He waved her over.

"Oiii, Nee-chan! Welcome back! Hurry, you're just in time for the next course!"

"Oooh?!"

Silver shot to his feet, far too excited by the evening he was having at this point to be disappointed their guest wasn't who he had hoped. He leaned forward and slapped one hand on the table, dropping the femur and rattling the dinnerware, as he extended his other across it toward the other young man, beaming. The next cartoonish leg of mutton had been left sitting dangerously close to Miranda's spot at the table, in the empty place between the two of them.

"I'm Silver, and this is my crew! It's always nice to meet a friend of Sierra's!"

His hand, not to mention his face, definitely could have used a napkin...

Marcus Smart was in some s**t, that much he knew of the gate. If he had hair he could possibly rip out of his head he would. Instead, he decided to simply groan and slap his forehead with his hand.

When Marcus Smart had decided to take the offer to play and got paid upfront they weren’t worried about the consequences of that.

Upfront pay was not something that he had gotten before, being somewhat of a local act, they were usually paid after the show was completed. So when they were offered this gig with half of the profits being paid upfront Marcus and his bandmates were completely floored, helped by the fact that it was quite the pay raise as well. Marcus, for the most part, came into the Crimson Hawk, thinking everything went rather well. However, there is a reason you never pay a band up front to perform if they aren’t somewhat big. They tended to spend that money, usually on this that would hinder their ability to play at a competent level. At this current moment, Marcus stared at both his lead and rhythm guitarists who were slumped onto one another. Eyes wide, bloodshot, and They were shaking like goddamn leaves. It was clear they were intoxicated on some sort of drug, which one as of now he was not clear on but something needed to be done. Clearly, they could not play in this condition. He had to think of something…

“10 Minutes till showtime Marcus.”

He was shocked when the drummer, a rather petite woman with grey flowing hair seemed to approach him. She clearly noticed however that he was staring at the two drugged out guitarist that seemed to be out for six. The woman groaned and did what Marcus could not. Ruffing her hair in rage as she let out an exhausted groan. “Really, They chose this time to drug up themselves, well this is just great, we need to find out what we are going to do." However, with only 10 minutes left he would have to think of something fast there must have been a quick replacement for the suddenly drugged out. Marcus looked outside to the bar only seeing a few people. Marcus nodded and stared at the drummer “We are going to need to find emergency replacements….”

Oh, there it was. The familiar pull of magecraft was strong with this lady, whoever she was. Raven, he corrected himself. She absolutely reeked of it, powerful stuff at that, a lot more like the guy that sharpened his blade than anyone else he'd sensed since walking into this place. He had to admit, though, that little appearance change trick of hers was pretty handy. Though, with him now sitting next to her, she'd be able to feel a strong dampening presence in the natural magical flow, as well as her own abilities. Since he didn't seem hostile, and it had happened when he walked closer, it's possible it was simply a natural happenstance with him.

"Who needs a glass? Booze comes in a bottle for a reason." He lifted the pint and guzzled it down without pausing in just a matter of seconds before sliding the glass aside and taking a swig from the bottle of vodka as a chaser of sorts. Setting it back down in front of Raven, he ran a gauntleted hand through his hair and grinned.

"Name's Rance." He nodded in the direction of the lobby and plopped the flier for the tournament down on the bar counter, patting it with gusto. "Heard this circus is supposed to be a good time. So far I can't say I'm impressed, but at least this place has got a bar." A pause, and a small sideways glance at Raven. "And decent company." He laughed boisterously and shifted on his seat, taking another pull from the bottle.

"So, Raven, what's a girl like you doing mixed in with this collection of fashion rejects and crazies?

The spread in front of them was rather impressive, with enormous racks of meat being fearlessly tackled like this was a scene straight out of a Dragonball episode. Notably there were entire pitchers of water in front of Vahn, and Silver seemed to be choking on the results of his eyes being bigger than his mouth, but the warm atmosphere was somehow all the more enhanced as a result of the boisterousness of the group.

It made him feel that much more self-conscious for having simply tagged along, not that he would let it show. Anson kept that painted-on smile he had used to greet Sierra just a minute or two ago as he took in the scene in front of him with a mixture of child-like excitement and diligent attentiveness.

"Anson, ma'am," the young man answered to the beast woman when he rose from his earlier bow; as he did, his eyes turned to Vahn to watch for a reaction if there was one, and then to Sierra to see if she reacted to that.

Then, he turned to the team captain and leaned forward, placing a hand on the back of the open chair that Vahn had gestured to so that he could lean over the table and extend a hand to Silver. "We've met once, Mr. Alexander, a long time ago. It looks like a few years can have a big effect on those of us who aren't elves and immortals, I almost didn't recognize you even though I must admit that I used to have the whole set of Glacier trading cards."

"If you're all willing to indulge an old fan for a bit, I'd love to join you." As he spoke, Anson pulled out the chair and slipped the duffel bag from his shoulder to drop on the ground behind it.

"What's this, though?" he suddenly exclaimed in mock amazement as his hand slowly moved over the top of the water pitchers sitting in front of Vahn, "I never expected there to be a food that is too hot for Vahn Fah to handle..."

CRIMSON HAWK - BAR - SUNSET

Something felt... strange, almost off... but it had been a good long while since she drank anything other than tea, so Raven chalked the slight draining feeling up to the booze as she flashed another smile at her new friend, taking the bottle back for another long pull. Her body would regenerate the damage the alcohol was doing long before she would have to worry about weather or not she could walk a straight line.

"Well Rance, I'm a medic of sorts, and all the crazies here about tend to get themselves hurt on a regular enough of a basis to keep me entertained when there is a large enough event... so when I heard that they were planning on starting the game up again I just had to pack my bag and see all the old faces, and new!" Besides.. she WAS one of the crazies!

She waved at the bartender, making sure the fellow knew to keep it coming... the bottle was not going to last long at this rate, and she never knew a man who wouldn't happily drink himself under the table when the beer was flowing like a river.

9Hogosha No Juunikyuu

"O-oh? Design my outfit? You don't have to- I mean, I have a dress..."

She looked flustered for a moment as Gabi and James exchanged words before smiling softly, her shoulders relaxing, "This isn't an argument I'll win is it?"

She returned to the menu before realising that the waiter was now looking at her.

sweatdrop

"Oh, er, the duck and blackberry jus please. With the garlic and herb potatoes. And some water. Thank you."

She handed the menu back to the waiter and looked, perhaps a little shyly at the three figures sat with her, basking in their company. She felt better than she had done in months.

10Tei Kae

"Ooh duck...that does sound good," Gabi debated for a moment on changing her order, but Juuni was family so maybe a little bit would 'fall' off her plate. Ultimately she let the poor waiter in peace and glanced over to the large crowd gathering at the center of the back of the restaurant. It was a loud commotion and drawing most of the attention but she only recognized a few people, those really hard to miss if you grew up anywhere near Leviathan stadium. But other than Ms Twitch, no one she really felt the need to talk with and Twitch looked like she was relaxing a bit and the woman deserved that if nothing else. The first bit of red hair flashed as two more people joined their group and Gabi's heart about stopped, "Hey mom, what about the Veli's. How're they holding up?"

No, it wasn't the right wrong redhead, so Gabi relaxed and nudged her brother to keep an eye on their mother. If the Veli's invite had held true, there was a chance they needed to watch out for 'that' woman. She had been a former competitor after all as well.

James relaxed and laughed, his own guard down. "I'm sure you do, but you won't have 'the' dress I'm going to design for you. I'm young, but I've got my own label and everything. I've got the designs for several visible designs, and thanks to mom's connections, I'm making quite the showing for myself, despite how young I am." The young man, who looked maybe 18, leaned back, hands behind his head, seeping in his own pride and talent.

Tellus looked at Gabi a little puzzled, her daughter wasn't normally prone to random small talk. "They're well. The kids just went down and so far, the company hasn't given them a headache over the whole thing. Of course, it's not officially a tournament yet either, so we'll see. "

11Hogosha No Juunikyuu

Juunikyuu drew her shoulders back and straightened her posture, sitting upright to her full height as she regarded James carefully.

"Will you have enough time to make it?" Juunikyuu asked as she picked up her glass of water and took a sip, "And you'll have to let me pay you of course. I'm not taking no for an answer on that one young man." and then she pulled a face to show that she was teasing before setting the glass round and sighing softly.

"There are so many familiar faces here... It's going to be a huge event no matter what they've planned... Gaia only knows how they even found me in the first place..."

The Senshi trailed off a little as she finished her sentence. Her left arm twitched a little at the wrist again and she clenched and unclenched her left hand.

Singles, couples, and groups littered the area, each involved with their own affairs. The group looked up once in a while, something about the stage catching their eye before they went back to their conversations. The couples were talking to each other-- a couple guys in business casual talking over a business card in the center of the table, and romantic pairs in close contact. The single ladies and men seemed fine in their own company, usually on their phone, one man actively checking the area and eyeing a group of ladies to see which one looked more willing to leave with him that night.

That is to say, most of the people in the area were involved with their own affairs. One woman with green eyes that seemed to reflect in the light, shoulder-length red hair with black streaks, and upper incisors too long for her mouth, was staring directly at the stage. Her elbows were on the table, chin on the back of her hands, eyes scanning the activity as she bobbed her head to an inaudible melody.

When it seemed the pro musician was looking at her, she smiled sweetly at him.

What was our favorite feline up to? At present, she was leaning back slightly in her chair against the urging of Vox.Flow, a drink of deep red sitting in front of her in a salt-lined tequila glass. The three were talking with relaxed postures, so it would seem that she was indeed relaxing and having casual, friendly conversation with her secretarial gynoids.

Marcus was dead set in a panic, moving his eye around the bar to look at anyone who even seen remotely musically inclined. It shouldn’t be that hard, someone with a penchant for music who was able to hear it around them without any confirmation, granted it would require asking more than usual for the patrons but If he was going to get paid he needed to do something…and fast. However, his eyes locked onto a woman who seemed to be staring at the stage showering him with what seemed to be a smile.

He smiled back and gave a chuckle, well then if he was going to look around, a small break to look at something for his own sake wouldn’t hurt. He would stroll off of the stage and walk toward her. “Well what is someone like you doing alone here?” He asked with a grin, that was saying a bit more than just the question he asked. While he was quite smitten with the redheaded female he was still somewhat focused. "You wouldn't happen to know any musicians yeah, I have a band performing in a few minutes and...well let's just say my two guitarists are Indisposed at the moment."
