Electricity? Glowing?

Descant was content to stay her place near the behind Leon and Marcus-- she was just a fill-in, so it didn't make sense to try to take any of the spotlight. With those special effects happening up there, it would be easy for her to stay out of focus and keep her mind matching the band's tempo and energy. For her part, she did her job well and seemed engaged, doing well for a rando plucked from the crowd. At this point, Descant wasn't even looking at the sheet music she'd been handed; she had either memorized it well enough, or was just that good at playing pick-up gigs.

She wondered at the mens' relationship. Clearly they were friends on some level, but for how long? She wouldn't guess anything romantic, just close and platonic.

Aww man, I miss Mae.

Suddenly, Allen's third optic nerve connected to his brain, rendering the vicinity in and around him within a radius of thirty feet his to scrutinize. A woman pick pocket going from person to person, stealing their wallets in a bar inside a certain infamous Crimson Hawk Hotel did not go undetected by Allen's third eye. Allen looked at the barkeep. "I am going to mess your bar up a little bit," he said. The synthetic whorls on the fingertips of Allen's left hand irised open. The android got up and pointed his fingers at the thief. In a flash, five shiny finger length steel spikes moving at a rapid rate fired off at Hono'o Arashi Raven, merely a warning shot. "Stop, thief!" yelled Allen. "I caught you stealing, and your transgressions against the law shall not go unpunished. Denizens of Gaia beware, for the messiah knight cometh not to bring peace but a sword."

4Adamus Tomorrow

Adamus Tomorrow pulled open the door to his room and stepped out into the hallway, turning to shift the book he was carrying to close the door. He ran a hand through his disheveled hair and yawned, rubbing his right eye with a closed fist as the room door shut behind him.

The young man didn't even flinch as two hands suddenly clapped on his shoulders and he felt the person jump up to butt his head affectionately. Sighing he couldn't help but grin as he rolled his shoulder, dislodging the grip of his assailant.

"You know," he began as he turned to look at his twin sister, "There are less... Extravagant ways of greeting your older sibling."

His twin sister grinned up at him. They bore the same green eyes and their nose wrinkled in the same way when they smiled. Their hair was a dirty, sandy blonde and Adamus was still getting over the haircut Amelia had gotten. His twin sister was a good few inches shorter than Adamus now but she was well built. She rocked back and forth on the balls of her feet, "Get over yourself Adamus, it's like a couple of minutes/" and she reached up to tussle his hair, "besides, I have to play the role of the annoying younger sibling if you're going to play that card!"

Adamus sighed and lifted the book to bap her on the head with but she ducked and weaved outta his way, jogging a little way down the hallway towards the elevator, "C'mon slowpoke! Let's go get something to eat!"

With a roll of his eyes Adamus tucked his book under his arm and set off down the hallway to meet her and travel down to the restaurant for something to eat.

As The second verse began Leon chuckled at Descant attempt to step up to the plate to follow him. Confidence exudes him greatly at this point, The electricity crackling around his body as he played and his formerly stern face now growing into a massive freakish smile. Suddenly, instead of looking like a stern journeyman as he stepped forward and stepped on a nearby monitor. The stance was more than enough to make him look like a bloody superstar.

*Jokers and women they hang 'round your door

They're all part of the scene

Just like a junkie you've got to have more

It's a pleasure machine

And you fly every night

But the dressing room mirror don't lie

They love you but you're in love with the spotlight

You're the spotlight kid*

The Solo began as Leon slightly bumped Descant as he ran toward the stage. It was as if he was telling her to pay attention, he was not going to do this alone. While Leon could easily do this solo on his own with little to no assist He faced her back and gave her a grin, before slowly mouthing her off to.

*"Show me what you got."*

This was fun to him, actually bloody fun to him, and he wanted to revel and share it.

Giant surfboard in tow, literally floating behind the slime, swagger in her step, V approached the bar and forced an arm between the to, slapping down the soggy registration paper. In the Hawaiian shirt, V's figure was luscious yet not over the top. Hono would find her name printed on the form as if the slime wasn't some kind of creepy stalker. Though the knight would find his was missing. At one point the box had been covered with black ink though either the wine or some other nonsense had removed it. How the paper was still holding together was beyond the realm of logic, it was still dripping from the spill earlier in the day. > > > > Smiling V would point to Cyphers signature already on the form then to her's and then to the pair at the bar. V wasn't sure of the other figure at the bar, but if Hono had taken an interest in this man and her friend Cypher was already on the team, maybe this could go well. Either way the slime would pound her chest twice, then hold out a peace symbol trying to introduce herself. The Hawaiian shirt was not made for boobs and visibly complained about the new force it had to contain. The slime however didn't seem to care, her amber eyes flickering back and forth between the two.

Before Rance could question whether or not he should ask to book a room with one or two beds, there appeared a slimegirl...thing. In her grasp was a soggy sign-up sheet for the tournament.

"Smash and Sass, eh? Sounds like my kinda party."

His mind was made up then and there. It wasn't like he had a lot of opportunities to join teams before this anyway. So, it was either this, or put himself on the Free Agents list, and since he already kind of knew this woman already, this seemed a good enough opportunity.

"Sure then, uh...Miss Slime. You got yourself some muscle."

With an affirmative nod, Rance would sign his name on the sheet. The pact had been forged...

Raven started visibly as the soggy bit of paper was presented to her and Rance, and it only took one glance at it to turn her tipsy smile to a look of confusion.

Raven's name was already on the sheet, and Cypher.. Cypher? How the frell did she know this creature?

"You got yourself some muscle." With an affirmative nod, Rance would sign his name on the sheet. The pact had been forged...

Rae tilted her head to the side, her eyes switching from baby blue to chaotic orange with every blink as she contemplated the possibilities... and subsequently forgot to keep the pressure up on her glamour... watching Rance and the Jell-o like being.

Slowly it dawned on her that she was experiencing a very familiar feeling, one that made her first cold, then all warm and tingly again as she grinned and reached a single finger towards the form... One black lacquered talon touched the paper, emitting a quick spark and the light scent of burnt paper as her signature was scorched into it.

This was a very bad idea! "And an elemental!"

"Hell no! What kind of ungrateful loser would I be if let my idols buy their own drinks!"

Izette was tickled pink with her new friend as she offered to buy her a beer. Not to mention she was just as odd as she was seeing as she looked as though she leapt out of the pages of manga. However, the party seemed to come to an end as the two girls sat up to find a strange spider-like woman looming over the two.

"Hey."

"Matty? Hi!"

Rox put a smile on her face that seemed to resemble one that Izette wore often. In fact, she often used that same smile towards Zandra all the time.

"CAN YOU BELIEVE I RAN INTO THESE GUYS?"

Quickly, the punker found herself to her feet as she was pulled off the ground. Surprisingly enough, the little ball of sparkles seemed to have some strength to lift Izzy’s fat a** off the ground. Reaching into her chest, the woman quickly took the moment to light up another cigarette from her bosom. Was it, appropriate? Probably not, but the punker was a well-known nicotine addict. And it had been a couple of minutes.

With flicking her lighter up, the punker offered a wave towards the one known as Matt as she quickly tucked her tin inside her pocket. Normally she would have fiddled with her cleavage again, but she was quickly distracted by the bubbling bouncy woman’s instant cry for attention.

"WAITWAITWAIT!"

Turning her head, the punker looked towards the woman who must have been roughly the same height as her and was pulled close. Quickly, almost without any warning the flash quickly broke out around the bar and the punker not miss a beat.

"”SMILE!”

With every cry of pose that the small tanned one demanded, Izette was on top of it and copied every move that was required with her cigarette either in hand or in her lips. Her selfie game was strong after all.

Finally, with the blinding light finally coming to a halt the punker chuckled as she took another long drag followed by an exhale. Fame wasn’t that bad. You got free drinks and even people wanting to take their photo with you. Who knew by stabbing people that would land you in the land of the well-known.

With a quick slap on the tanned woman’s shoulder, she took another drag as she now bobbed her head to the music that was playing from the live band that managed to show up. The Hawk never thought about hiring bands before, so the fact that they had one was right up her alley. And the fact that they were playing music that reflected her aesthetic, that was brownie points right there.

“Well, it was a pleasure to meet you there, Goldilocks. If you want to be a true fan, you should get me them pigs in a blanket things. You know the hotdogs with the dough wrapped around them. Thanks, toots.” Grinning, the punker hopped back onto the bar and looked down towards her friend Zandra. She was having so much fun, however, the fact that the ginger was looking rather unamused concerned her. This was just like the old times…

However…maybe the old times wasn’t exactly a time to remember…

Reaching for her sacred second bottle of booze the punker proceeded to rip the new cap off the top. Spitting it forward, the punker didn’t pay any attention to where the cap was going. She simply turned and looked at her ginger friend and continued to sip away happily.

“…Did you wanna get out of here? I’m sure we can take our bottles up to the room.” There was a rather large selection of choice words that people could call Izette. But she was always known to be loyal, and more importantly, she had the responsibility of being Zandra’s best friend. The ginger had taken care of her sorry a** so many times, it was her turn to return the favour.

Sip. Sip

Down went the booze.

Didn't you know kid- things don't work so well after a certain age!" He continued to laugh even as he leaned back draped an arm around Sierra. "Let's order now! I'm famished!"

She laughed with him, and as he draped his arm around her, she looked up from the menu and met his eyes with an eager grin. Her face alight with excited hunger and an expectant stomach. The scent of meat still hung in the air from the food that Silver and Miranda had already obliterated, and it made her stomach growl impatiently, she certainly didn't need any convincing!

"I also find I'm feeling exceptionally ravenous!"

Holding her hand up in the air, she sought out the eyes of one of the waitstaff, and locking gazes, smiled and signaled for them that their table was ready to order when they were free.

Then her eyes turned toward the stage as music filled the air. She didn't have a clear view, but she caught a glimpse of a very bizarre looking man. He was quickly forgotten though, as a guitar riff that seemed to dance filled the room. Her ears twitched as she took it in, leaning in against Vahn's side. The tempo was lively. And while it wasn't the kind of music she was accustomed to, it wasn't unpleasant.

She glanced to Miranda and Anson. She was rather curious herself, what had drawn Mr. Brent to the Crimson Hawk? And if he was meeting anyone; though she knew if he was, due to his unfortunate response earlier, parents weren't on the list of possibilities. The young man sat between Miranda and Silver was for the most part an enigma.

The young man laughed in response to Silver struggling to remember the elf's name, but clearly remembering that he was awesome. It had, in fact, been years since Anson had seen Adrinai but time was a relative thing when it came to the races and no doubt the fashionable elf would have thought that it was just the blink of an eye since they stood side-by-side across from Silver on the Lamentian plains.

"I'm glad to hear he left such a good impression on you. I was a bit too starstruck back then for me to trust my memory about how your fight went... a bit distracted by other things as well..." As he spoke the young man pulled a clean plate from the side and picked a few stray pieces from the plates on the table to place onto it; not daring to put a hand near Silver or Miranda for fear of losing it --

"If I had it with me I would either let you have it or ask for you to sign it, but it's probably in a box at the tower with everything else. Hard to be bring the memorabilia with you when you're always traveling." Anson shrugged as he pulled the bone out of a piece of meat that was so tender it was falling apart just from that, and placed the meat between a split-open bun.

Miranda Ecks Wrote:

He got it halfway to his mouth before stopping it and smiling at the woman. "Someone sent me a letter about a masquerade, and since I have recently been collecting interesting masks it felt like fate was telling me to come..."

Anson took a bite of the sandwich and waited to see the reaction to that statement, before adding in a playful tone: "I was also asked to meet an old friend here, so it may just be a lucky coincidence. If you believe in luck, that is."

The barkeep leaned over the bar, sleeves rolled up to his elbows and hands wet as he had just been washing a glass, and with a stern look at Allen he said back: "You'd best not, unless you're looking for a fast ticket out of here."

Pointing a wet finger behind Allen, the barkeep gestured towards several cameras in various places throughout the hotel bar. "This place used to get pretty rowdy back when all those tournament fighters used to crash in here, and they like to run a tight ship."

12Amelia Tomorrow

Amelia ducked out of the elevator laughing as Adamus followed behind, a grin across his face as he reached to continue messing with her hair.

"Cut it out Adamus~!" she laughed, swatting at him halfheartedly.

Adamus stopped as per her request, feigning injury to his left arm as she swatted him before standing up to his full height and walking along side her towards the restaurant.

"Hey Julie, who are those two that just came from the rooms?" One of the camera operators asked his co-worker. The brown eyed lady looked up, squinting at the twins as they walked by. "No idea... Where's the profile pack? Are they in there?"

Amelia's nose wrinkled in a quiet growl before being cut off by a light shove from Adamus who spoke quietly under his breath in tribal, "On eno snowk. Tusj xelar."

Amelia nodded though the fire in her eyes did not die out. She'd spent the last couple of years building up her own name and she'd be damned if she was associated with him.

Adamus sighed and shook his head, holding the door open for his sister as they entered the restaurant. A large knot had formed and was sitting in the base of his stomach. He recalled the last time he had seen his father. Recollected the feeling of the strong arms wrapping around him as he howled and beat on his chest. Remembered the look on Tomorrow's face as Adamus had unleashed one of his seals and sent him careening across the stadium stands. Juunikyuu had arrived and whatever had happened next had been obscured from view before the two disappeared.

Suddenly aware that he was stood just holding a door open Adamus swallowed the guilt down and followed his sister into the restaurant suddenly feeling more sick than hungry.

There was a moment of ambivalence. The slime was ecstatic that they had a full team now, but neither of the team members had gotten her name. Taking the soggy paper with a flourish, the slime absorbed the near mythical document into it's body by sticking it in the cleavage she had for now. The language barrier had been difficult with Cypher and now V had to start over again. Trying to streamline the process, V would grab the nearly 10 meter long surf board out of the air and point to herself, before flashing a peace symbol with her other hand.

Moving the board to a level comparable to the stools that her new teammates were sitting on, the slime sad behind the pair, her legs able to kick in between them but she wasn't going to squeeze between her new found compatriots. Later V would have to try to explain her love for explosions and surfing to the pair and see if they could make anything that would be akin to them. V was pretty sure Hono, whom' they had some memories off was capable of something along those lines, but the other man, well she had no idea.

Snapping her fingers twice as a bartender moved by, V gave the international signal for drinks before pointing to... Looking at the paper through her slime quickly, Rance and Hono, and giving two large thumbs up. Drinks were going to be on the slime tonight, and if nothing else they would have a wild time causing as much collateral damage as possible. The slime would pull out of a pocket three pairs of tacky heart shaped glasses, that clearly couldn't fit in the pocket but had managed to come out of them. V put on the pink pair leaving and orange and blue pair up for grabs.

Her brow lifted. Descant was pointedly trying to stay out of the spotlight; why would they try to push her into it? She was just a random pickup, not a frontliner in this gig. Were they teasing her, making fun of her, daring her to step into the spotlight to show off the skill she boasted about, ready for her to fall flat on her face?

It was a challenge she'd take. Descant inhaled, her memory quickly scanning the page again, the rules of music and expectations and diversions. Tempo, key, likely jumps and drummer responses all ran through her mind in the time it took her to lift, and drop her right foot beneath her. With the first step came a small gout of flames from her feet that travelled up to her hands by the end of two more beats.

♫IeFret

Maybe she didn't want to step on the guys' toes before, but she cared a bit less about that now. Her fingers ran the board, tips and edges hitting the strings with expert skill and timing, playing a rather mean solo comprised of three-octave arpeggios, minor/major shifting in mixed key changes, and the requisite insertions of the melody. Her gaze switched from her guitar halfway through, to Marcus, eyes and toothy smile demanding that he come up with a harder song to challenge her on next time.

Also, so they could coordinate the cue out of the solo.

The tousled red head that was just high enough to get into trouble, was also just short enough to get ignored by the crowd. Her parents had gone into the Master suite to do those things that adults do after they had thought she and her siblings were asleep. Still in her father's coat and her own PJ's, she made her way to where she heard the music and started grooving. "Yeah!" She chanted with the audience that was building, even throwing her own devil horns up. She had no idea what it meant, but she'd seen them a few other concerts. Maybe she'd get around to asking her parents eventually.

But for now, she was happy dancing to the music; Pjs, oversized army coat and rambunctious curls.
