Sierra didn't seem particularly interested in the speculation about Heaven or Hell. If she had an opinion or a hypothesis she kept it to herself for the time being. She was currently more invested in the present welfare of her friends. After so many years, she wanted to hear about THEM rather talk about a would-be tournament.
She was also still very anxious to hear the contents of Vahn's letter. Though she got the sense that he'd decided not to reveal it at the table after the conversation had shifted.

She smirked silently from behind her tankard as she took a long sip, feigning innocence.

As someone of his skill set, a real job had been hard to find. Especially one that paid enough to afford even his modest apartment and basic living expenses. But at the same time... there was relief. The job wasn't bad, but he had hated it. A former champion and would-be adventurer, stuck behind a desk job to make ends meet. It had been slowly sucking the life out of him, especially when something he couldn't quite explain lately had been causing his blood to boil, leaving him restless... > > > > But it was all gone now, no sense in worrying about it. After the Ball, he would have to make one last trip to turn in his company issues, including the phone. Whatever Sierra had in mind for him, it couldn't have been any worse. Come to think of it, he really had no idea what she did, especially since they last regularly interacted. He sat back up in his chair, slight concern apparent on his face that he'd just signed up to be a houseboy. He shut his eyes with furrowed brow and sighed again as he slipped the device back into his pocket, a slight smirk on his face. Either way, he certainly seemed a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. > > > > "It... it's done."
Lowering her drinking vessel so she could look at him properly, the elven woman grinned and flashed him a big thumbs up. She could sense his tumultuous emotions, but she had no doubt that after she shared the whole of her plans with him, his unease would dissipate and the young man would find himself on the path to a happier lifestyle and one that better suited his character. She had been planning a new project, and Silver Alexander was exactly the candidate she needed to oversee it.
She would reach across and grab his tankard, refilling it from a flagon of mead sitting on the table, before handing it back to him, and raising her own cup;
"CHEERS TO YOU, OTOUTO! And an exciting new beginning!"

I meant that-- oh blarney, it's just that you seem to be the only one that heard it out of --" he motioned to the other tables around them where the patrons, some of whom were famous fighters and demi-humans as well, did not seem to be bothered by whatever the Lady had heard, "--everyone here."
"Mean it like?"
She looked at him perplexed. She didn't quite understand what he was insinuating or why he was blushing. She just shook her head, raising a hand to rub her forehead.
"I don't know... I'm not even sure I did hear anything it was faint and there is so much... chaos... here."

This earned Miranda a genuine smile, chasing some of the concern from the redhead's face. She empathized greatly with this statement, knowing full well that children were another kind of chaos.
"I can't wait to meet them Miranda! We should get together with all of the munchkins after the ball. Somewhere that's not too... flammable."
She winked.

It's fine enough if people have reasons beyond 'getting paid for beating people up' for entering, but corporations vying for world-controlling relics or whatever the hell was going on..." A grunt. "I'll do what it takes to keep things quiet and safe for me and mine, but I swear I'm going to find and slap Nikki if there's more going on than her needing to orgasm to the backdrop of me suplexing Vahn out of the ring again."

Just another one of these infamous incidents at Hotel Grabass?"
"Grab... a**?..." She made a face at how distasteful that sounded, all the while patting Vahn gently on the back.
And then she heard it again--

> "You know I'm going to have to pay for his medical bills." Max said, the creature replied with a roar the drowned out the music, cracked the panes directly around it, and reverberated for several feet and then it dove at him. It's sheer bulk struck Max squarely and carried him and clean off the side of the Crimson Hawk and into a freewill.
Freezing, her delicate brows knit into a frustrated furrow.
