Narrowly avoiding being bodied by a van driven by a raving lunatic, Kae sauntered in the front doors, opting to take the simple pull door over the rotating entryway that promised nothing but trouble if she were to be caught inside of it by some errant fool crashing through.
One could never be too sure.
Hell, were the circumstances different, she might have paused to give the woman that emerged out the van a more thorough look than a mere glance, but Kae had an important appointment with a martini glass or three. Besides, the leather-clad chick was busy wrapping herself around some guy waiting for her at the entrance and now on the concrete, so gawking wasn't likely to be leading anywhere soon anyway.
The lobby was busy enough that noone spared her a glance, which was just fine. It let her dynamically reconfigure her armor for something more suitable to the climate-controlled and fancy interior. By the time her elegant strides had carried her to the far end of the foyer, the symbiote was garbed in a fairly complex approximation of an airy, short-skirted cocktail dress, woven entirely out of extremely fine plant fibers. In fact, it would have been entirely indistinguishable from processed fabric were it not for the fact that it was a pale green, and small, living flowers dotted it in a feminine pattern.
She waved off the host in the Crimson Hawk restaurant, heading straight for the bar. Resting a leg on the brass footrest, a wet gin martini was ordered, straight up, and stirred. Sweet vermouth, of course, for the lady, and a twist of lemon.
