Heaven or Hell: RE-Union - Round 3

Team Literal Degenerates vs. Team Make Waves

Lust Subway

The train battle is a staple of HoH, however it always ends in strange results. The commission wanted a way to limit the unpredictable nature of the stage, as well as toss it up. They found their answer by restoring the crumbing Speed City subway.

The train stage with a twist: You're surrounded on all sides by walls. Any venture outside the cart is a dangerous one and can end in pain for all parties involved. The subway car has approximately 2 feet of space between the outside of the car and the side walls of the tunnel, and three feet of space between the roof of the car and the top of the tunnel. However, the inside is a bit more maneuverable, as subways are usually standing room only, the seats flush against the cabin walls.

General - Momentum is your friend.

Weapons - Those dangling strap things you hang onto, old newspapers, and other refuse left behind by passengers.

Bonus Effects - Once in the match a team may use a striker action to pull the emergency stop. This halts the train for five posts. Violently.

Namine questioned Kae's insistence on matching kimonos, as soon as she was assailed by the constant odor of piss entrenched within the subway. Then, she figured, that it's probably easier to piss in a robe, and they weren't as out of place as she first thought.

Opting for a more composed look, Namine's silver hair, highlighted with fuchsia near the ends, was pulled up into a long ponytail that ended a little past her derrière. Her fuzzy knife-ears and doe-eyed amber gaze were betrayed by the two shadowy tendrils haunting uncannily over her head, growing out from her trapezius.

Her short, sky-blue cotton yukata draped off the ends of her shoulders, exposing a great deal of her unguarded Gaian Platinum bust, before being sealed away with a simple fuchsia obi. White sheer stockings almost met at the yukata's hem up her thighs, while the long sleeves fell slightly past them.

She still wasn't wearing ******** shoes, as she stepped into the train and grabbed on one of the straps with her right tendril.

"Does this please you?" Namine teased Kae, as she stopped suppressing her psychic aura.

Yes, it had been Kae's idea to dress up for the occasion, clearly expecting a much cleaner venue than the grimy trundletube they were about to traverse. Where the nymph had gone for a light, airy look, the Helvetian had availed herself once again of the line of platinum credit left open to her, and found probably the most expensive tailor in all of Gaia Prime to alter this kimono to her liking. Rich red silk, cuffed in gold and layered with thinner linings of white and green accents, draped scandalously low over her breasts, leaving the entirety of her upper bust and shoulders bare. A stiff black obi, embroidered with interwoven cherry blossoms, lent the slack garment its only support, cinching the European's already naturally trim waist in just a bit further. Like her partner, the hem of Kae's kimono scarcely reached the middle of her thighs, pleated in a more modern fashion to resemble a skirt. Several expensive brass luck charms hung suspended from the insides of the long, baggy sleeve elbows, ending in little tassels that swung pleasantly to and fro with the symbiote's carefree catwalk. She'd opted for tabi socks and bamboo wedges over the offered priestess' stockings, for once liking the way it focused attention on the whole length of her legs and not just her thighs.

The symbiote seemed hardly sensate to the nymph's discomfort at the train platform, lost in her own little world, however. Nose buried in a strange backwards bound book she'd picked up from some bookstand on the way here, only the occasional glance upward to make sure the shadow nymph's white stockings were still ahead of her disrupted her rapturous devouring of the graphic contents of this novel. She couldn't understand the slightest lick of the writing... only the titular Tentacle x Tentacle! splashed across the front (back?) cover. Besides, she'd already chided the girl for complaining about the smell of piss - after all, if she was worried about stepping in it, why the hell would she had not worn some damn shoes?! There'd been a perfectly good pair to go with them, and not even half as high as Kae's, so they'd have been plenty comfortable. Having ignored her advice, Kae responded by ignoring her back into mutual silence for the rest of the trip.

Namine's words thus caught her completely off guard, with Kae lifting her head just in time to ram shoulder-first into a bracing pole in the train corridor.

"Ah merde...! Ceci est pourquoi j-" she trailed off, frowning a bit before switching back to a more common tongue. *"What is it now, Nam- oooh. Oui. Ouaiiiii."* The woman giggled in a decidedly uncharacteristic way, a clear sign that the nymph's aura had immediate repercussions even on her own allies. She skirted around the interrupting pole to press obnoxiously closely up against the slender fae, and pointed at a page about halfway through the volume in her left hand.

*"Look... they're turning her inside out. Ehehehehe."* The implication was... painfully obvious.

This would be the first and the last time Gustave picked a spot to rendezvous--despite Marcus’ dissent, his teammate insisted they meet on the Subway. Marcus spent his adolescence in Durem and was all too familiar with this mode of public transportation. During his absence it had become even more of a cesspool than he had remembered; occupied and frequently used by the homeless and the occasional unruly teenager.

For once Marcus had been on time--early even, uncomfortably falling asleep in a vacant seat while waiting for his comrade. Only to be rudely woken up by two chatty women. Casting a leer at the pair before yawning and stretching lazily. These two were out of place--their attire was a dead giveaway, it differed from those who frequented the transit. Marcus, on the other hand, fit right in. Sporting a jersey style tank top that could only be described as worn, the color and logo of the team it represented wasn’t recognizable due to being tattered, torn, and faded. Beneath that was long sleeved spandex-like material, which could have been mistaken as a thermal, black in color. Below that was a pair of gray baggy sweatpants, stained with blood and other unimaginable bodily fluid, resting underneath was a bottom matching the long sleeved undergarment. But his shoes were pristine, white and high top.

Marcus’ black hair was greased and slicked back, his facial hair was unkempt but didn’t amount to anything other than five o’clock shadow. Although half awake, his gaze was a fiery orange, his blackened scleras only detailed the hue even more. Marcus’ complexion was bordering translucent, his veins were prominent, as they pumped a darkened liquid that shared a resemblance of tar. His teeth were akin to daggers and quite noticeable whenever he spoke.

Retrieving a reappropriated cigar from his pants pocket, he’d place it between his lips and light it. Exhaling a large column of smoke into the air which filled the small space with the stench of potent cannabis. Coughing here and there from a particularly lethal toke. Fitting right in with the stereotype. ”Ay, ain’t you the b*h from the Ball?”** Marcus added to their conversation. Sitting across his lap was a baseball bat, embedded with large nails, written across the base of the weapon in sharpee was “Batus Gigantis”, styled in a graffiti type font.

Gustave Aodhart: Arrival Post 0/20

"Honestly now, how hard is it to follow directions?" Gustave whined to himself as he strolled through the station, looking for his partner Marcus.

In one hand (right) he gripped a rather large shield. He held it tight in his fist by the two largest, loose straps, letting the thing sway from side to side. In the other hand, he gripped two large soft pretzels, dusted with chunky bits of salt and toasted a rich cramel brown. He adorned himself in layers, his armored segments clearly visible to onlookers. This wasn't at all uncommon for Gaia.

The station, however, was uncharacteristically empty. Gustave could spy nary a traveler in sight, which was a bit unsettling. "Oh, s**t, am I late?" Gustave pondered as he stepped onto the train.

Once he passed over the threshold, the doors slid shut with a gaseous hiss. He looked to the side and spied with his little eyes three bodies. Marcus was one, and the other two were unknown to Gustave. One looked like your typical high-fashion model type. Nothing spectacular in Gustave's taste, since he typically went for the more penisy types. The other girl, however, put Gustave into a bit of a mood.

He couldn't place why, but when he looked at her he felt this looming sense of unease about him. He could feel his heart thumping in his chest suddenly as his grip tightened around the pretzels. He had to control himself to keep from splitting them in two.

"Yikes, that b***h is creeeepy." He moaned as he slipped up alongside Marcus and pressed the second pretzel against the man's chest. "Probably no appetite with all this piss on the floor, but here y'go. You were supposed to meet me outside numbnuts."

Intro

Unlike the female members of his team, Grakav had not undergone any sort of costume change.

They simply didn’t make human clothing in his size, or shape.

However, the hulking Serpentine did not come entirely out of character; having acquired some signage for his massive blade, the *Vis’st’oks**. A couple pieces of dingy cardboard had been taped to either side of the sword, clearly two halves of an old pizza box. Scrawled across the greasy outward-facing innards:

Repent, the END is nigh!

The brackish, red, lettering was...Unsettling. But that was hardly anything out of the usual for Grakav, whos broad body was draped in a suit of literal flesh*. The grisly attire creaked softly with his every stride, like leather, and the overhead lights reflected all the many shades of green across his scaly skin. He allowed his mighty weapon to trail behind him; the metal sparking as it drug along the station floor. Nearby, and yet kept carefully distant from the sword, his meaty tail swung back-and-forth with each step.

All in all, Grakav was a giant; his frame nearer to seven feet tall than six, and every bit of that looked to be solid muscle. Being mostly snake, and topped by a decidedly inhuman head, there still appeared to be some cold intelligence behind his slitted eyes. A primitive creature, but far from stupid.

Vis'st'oks :: In its natural form, the Vis'st'oks is a Fullblade approximately six-and-a-half feet in length; from its pommel, to its points. The blade itself has been non-traditionally forged in the likeness of a forked-tongue; with its dual-points angling away from the swords edges, and thus giving the far end of the Vis'st'oks a wider profile than the rest of its blade. However, because of this, the sword lacks a "thrusting point"; with the forked ends meeting in the middle to form an inward V-shape. The blade, from guard to where the points begin to fan, is approximately 12in wide; with the distance between its points being closer to 22in, and the "V" at its furthest point being approximately 8in deep. To offset the sheer size of the weapon, its haft accounts for approximately 20in; having been reinforced both physically, and magically, to make it combat viable. The process that was used to forge the Vis'st'oks has been lost to time, but the metal has all the durability of tool-grade steels and yet retains an exceptionally sharp edge; its surface blending in waves similar to Damascas, but with shades of color teasing themselves to visibility in the shifting light. The weapon weighs approximately 10lbs, and features a bladed pommel; roughly shaped like a spade, with its mirror edges brought to a point. See Stances below for all other weapon configurations, and notes.

Manflesh :: Literally the flayed skin of homo sapiens; treated, and magically hardened, to function in much the same capacity as leather armor. Grakav's scaly hide serves a similar purpose, but the Manflesh also acts as a clothing of sorts. Besides the more mundane aspects of its nature, the macabre outfit also strikes a sort of fear into other sentient creatures; especially humans, half-humans, or pseudo-humans (elves, and creatures that appear similar to humans). The effect isn't mind-numbing, but the normalcy with which Grakav wears the Manflesh is absolutely unsettling to other creatures; tantamount to being noticeably unnerved. This effect is to be handled at the discretion of the individual affected. Includes: a sleeveless tunic, a thigh-length Pteruges, bracers, thigh, and ankle guards. Each piece appears to have been tattooed, or perhaps branded, with serpent motifs; the snakes coiling around, and around, and giving the illusion of independent motion as Grakav moves.

Kae paused mid-description of how she planned to mirror the events of her reading material on her shady accomplice, and glared up over the pages at the scraggly man in dirty sweatpants. Incensed at the interruption, she straightened, taking a single step forward with her right to go and reprimand him, when the b*****d's friend walked on the train and tossed him a cheap pretzel. She wasn't sure what disgusted her more: the slobbishness, the weed smoke, or the cheap oil scent of the pretzel layering into the bouquet of stench suffusing the cabin.

The train started with a lurch, forcing the symbiote to catch hold of the metal bracing pole at her left. To her credit, she leaned into the rapid acceleration coolly, deciding that a verbal reprimand was less important than seeing what the next page of her doujin had in store. Thumbing the page over, Kae gave out a long sigh, tinging slightly into a bit of a groan as her cheeks colored... and two ropecord vines erupted from under the hem of her robe. Whilst the stoner had his hands full with pretzel and pipe, the agile appendage raced across the fifteen or so feet separating them along the train car, and made to slap the garbage pastry clean out of the guy's grip with its lash-like tip... only to juke downward and wrap around the handle of the bat in his lap, and whisk it away as quickly as it had come.

The second was a bit more sinister than its brother, albeit slower as well, having pulled a 10 foot long spear out of what appeared to be a bottomless pit beneath that flirty, barely-there garment. With sinuous precision, it curled about the weapon and slalomed among the bracing steel pillars, thrusting it in brief, if forceful, jabs at Gustave's legs. No pretzels for you, either.

*"Teach you to call me a b***h..."* the cosplaying symbiote muttered, and flipped to a fresh page of depravity.

Namine stared right into the shark's everted maw, unfazed by Kae's display. Perhaps, she had seen something like it before, either in this life or one of her others. It couldn't have been much worse than having your very being turned inside out, at any rate. She was more concerned with the black stains on her stockings, and infuriated at Fasumbra's command rune sealing off her ability to keep them supernaturally clean.

"I prefer Kobold Slayer," the shadow nymph suggested.

Namine literally shook when she heard that cutting word, her knife ears at full attention. She could feel .. no, taste, Kae's indignation, and reacted accordingly. She turned towards Marcus, taking one step forward before she caught the arrival of the pretzel fondler.

She felt a sudden sense of intimacy as their minds joined, only to be cut down by again by another cruel remark! (+1 Dread on Gustave) Namine continued to close the distance, even as the train accelerated, striding forward as her tendrils alternated between the hanging straps.

Pausing for a moment as she acknowledged Kae's members passing to her sides, she responded by mirroring her ally yet again. Channeling a short shadow spear in her left hand, about three feet long, she stepped forward and rotated clockwise, launching the spear at Gustave's right bicep; her left tendril skipping forward to yet another strap.

Completing the motion, she would then fold her hands into a prayer position with her right tendril looming overhead, and face towards Marcus, her left shoulder between her and Gustave. She caught something unappetizing in the corner of her vision -- what appeared to be a hunk of moldy, half-eaten Gaian cheese under the occupied seat.

"There's some cheese on the floor!" Namine beamed at the two gentlemen. Maybe, they'd be rotten just like it, soon enough.

Ferris stood nearby his overly large snake companion. He hadn't spoken much to the being, but he was a team mate, and he seemed like he could fight. It would have been very odd if the giant snake monster-man with a huge sword couldn't fight. Like it was some sort of decorative giant sword. Wait...wasn't he in a snake cult or something. Ferris eyed his team mate. No, he absolutely knew how to fight. Still the snake cult thing did worry him now that he thought about it. He pushed that worry to the side though.

He leaned casually against one of the standing poles on the train car awaiting the opposing duo to show up. The car bounced softly as it chugged along the subway line, lights occasionally flickering at a regular pace as the opaque sections of train based by the tunnel lights. It set a certain atmosphere, a tense one. The kind that in noir was the lead up to something. The detective steps off the train to confront his past, or be gunned down. Except in this case it was a tall man who could fly and a giant snake man waiting to punch the hell out of 2 other people.

”Did you remember my ch---you stupid ******] A vine of some sort attacked his pretzel! Knocking it off his chest and onto the disgusting floor of the subway. Another then sought to wrap itself around the baseball bat adorning his lap--Marcus immediately slid across the seat and lept into action. Scooting away from the vine with his baseball bat in hand and taking cover behind Gustave. His shield would prove to be advantageous in the small confines of the train.

Peek-a-thot!

Marcus popped up over Gustave’s right shoulder and hucked his baseball bat directly at the somewhat distracted woman. Hoping the weight of the top end would force it to rotate completely and crack her right in the dome. The wooden object itself would hurt quite a bit, but the nails would certainly leave a mark. As soon as the object left Marcus’ right arm, it began to shift into something repulsive. If the two women had been paying close enough attention they would notice a slight difference in the shape, but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Gustave Aodhart: Introduction Post 1/20

It certainly didn't take very long for their opponents to whip into action, but considering how close they were it wasn't really a surprise. One of them pulled a spear out of her nethers, and another formed a small projectile. In the interim period between the formation of these objects and their use, Gustave had more than enough time to raise his right arm and pinch the straps tightly together.

Gripping these straps near the top and pinching them flat to falt, Gustave naturally forced one strap to run across the meat of his palm. This gripping position placed the tumb primarily in the right side strap, while the fingers pressed the left side strap into the pad of the thumb. It afforded Gustave a good deal of side-to-side control over the object in question.

The thrown spear, having been targeted at Gustave's right arm, would deflect off the shield face just by Gustave raising his arm. The shield, in this position, covered from just above Gustave's shoulders, to just below his knees. So naturally the spear thrusts aimed for his legs from the other one would find themselves stifled by the shield as well, with Gustave only having to adjust his arm slightly to account for their placement. He needn't worry at all about his legs below the knee as his boots were affixed with front facing greaves.

Then there was the matter of Marcus slipping away and hiding behind him. Gustave shifted only slightly to his left to accomodate Marcus, and then weaved himself back into place. This wouldn't really affect the action sequence. Once that was done, Gustave tossed his own pretzel into the bench to his left.

"Rude." It was a really good pretzel too, but now was not the time for snacks.

After parrying the thrown spear, and then proceeding to continue to parry the low thrusts, Gustave narrowed his profile so that he wouldn't have to move his right arm much at all. He kept it lower than his eyes and crouched a tad, covering from just under his nose all the way down to below his knees, with his shield angled slightly to favor the left for the top and the right for the bottom (exactly opposite for the opposing perspective). He slipped his left hand across his hip and yanked his sword free of it's scabbard, while gripping it on the wrong side of the cross guard. Gustave held the hilt over his shoulder and wiggled his wrist a bit to grab Marcus' attention, offering him a backup weapon since he'd thrown his own.

That Kae's right lash had only succeeded its feint and not the followup juke of Marcus' bat did not bother her much; after all, it was a matter of principle. Mess with the Rose, get the thorns. Denied his snack and sent cowering behind his teammate, things were off to a good start - no less because the guy tossed it soon after at Namine, or as was more likely, to Namine. Retracting her lashes a few feet to reposition, Kae chose not to pursue Marcus with it, instead abandoning both their attacks in the face of Gustave hunkering down behind his shield. This much was hardly surprising.

Dropping the hentai for later consumption, the symbiote waded into the fight herself now, striding confidently down the right side of the corridor, leaning into the last of the train's acceleration. Unperturbed by its shudders and jerks, nonetheless it made her body jiggle in all the right ways. Secretly she hoped the nymph had a moment to watch. In fact... Kae intended to give her more than just a moment. Her left lash recoiled from a failed strike with the spear, handing it off into the kimono-clad Helvetian's grip, and instead joined its twin in the same prayer-like motion that Namine held with her hands.

But in the absence of dark gods and unspeakable horrors, it instead brought forth life. Bulging, over-developed life - thick, fibrous, knotty... unworkable. It was, however, good at one thing: being heavy as hell. Hunkered down behind his shield in a crouch and hemmed in by the very narrow space Gustave intended to control, he'd have time to see, but not avoid, what was coming next. At the end of Kae's supernaturally strong vines, mutually held in a spiderweb grip, a gargantuan mass of gnarled rosewood nearly 2 cubic feet in volume whipped around the fulcrum point of a steel pole and crashed straight into the top half of his shield. It'd probably not crumple the metal... but it'd crumple his face... and send both him and the coward hiding behind him sprawling to the grimy subway floor or braining themselves on the various handrails and poles jutting out.

That was just the pop of the can opener, though. She wanted the meaty tuna inside... which she'd fish out utilizing the long spear in her hand to punish the once-again exposed Marcus along his left side or gut from a safe distance while he lay prone or staggered.

"I want you to relish this opportunity." Kae sighed, but the subject of address remained ambiguous.

The cheese in the flighty nymph's peripheral wasn't distracting enough to make her forget about a bat hurled at her face. After all, her amber eyes were focused on Gustave, drawing him into her mind and forcing him to witness his greatest fear: greedy thots. (Dread +1)

With Namine's stable position, all she needed to do was crouch down slightly, turn her head away from the bat, and send her right tendril slightly behind her. When it passed over, Namine's right tendril wrapped around its base, and her footing barely shifted when distributing the force.

Namine stepped forward and circled clockwise (to Gustave's right), to the left of Kae's shifting vines. Her right tendril passed the bat into her readied hands, which only needed to lower and twist to accept Marcus's wood. Namine smirked as she saw Kae's massive knot grow, and wondered how the two boys would accept it, making an opening as it slammed into them with its immense girth.

With Gustave and his shield committed to absorbing the force of the blow, Namine continued circling clockwise and turned her entire body forcefully, driving the spiked bat right into the back of Gustave's lead knee, hoping to aid him in his quest to trip on Marcus's d**k. Her four-foot tendrils remained bent overhead, their ends resting slightly in front of her chest.

Securing the high ground and pulling out, Namine climbed up onto the the seats on the left side of the train, and turned to catch all three fighters within the view. This time, she was actually distracted by Kae's immersive physics. You too, Namine hinted.

KARNE DIVIL...Escaping His Past

Introduction: Zero Sum Game

Bluish grey smoke seeped from the ventilation from the subway car's far side. A thicc miasma consuming the image of the subway car's interior. A product of magic, the haze swirled in denial of the cabin's draft, clearly directed by the will...of being beyond visibility. Magical prowess in full display, announcing the arrival of the long awaited opponents. The third round of this momentous reunion was about to begin.

Light sneaking through the blue hued haze revealed a thinning in a once thicc veil. The mage's influence fading into complete dismissal, the haze departing with it.

Seated upon a bench mounted to the cabin walls, a pale skinned man sat comfortably, crinkled newspaper in hand. Strands of his white hair falling over dull grey irises, as his gaze shifted from the local news to the pair of strangers. Of the two, the serpentine creature was in sharp contrast to expectations. It's leather armor substituting cow's hide for what Karne could only assume, was human flesh. A massive scaly body, dragging behind it a massive tail and a unorthodox sword. Repulsive Karne's eyes pulling back, attention fell upon the articles within the crinkled newspaper. Flipping through the pages, the mage sat casually, waiting.

Dressed in the style of the 20th century, Karne wore a blend of cottons, silks and cashmere. The mage offering a hint of sophistication to the battlefield with his dress-wear. A white button up silk shirt, paired with black cashmere suit trousers, that matched perfectly with complimenting black leather shoes and a crisp pair of white cotton socks. "Well I suppose, it is about that time" declared the mage, folding the newspaper and resting it upon the seat. Once hidden by the pages of the crinkled paper, a black trench coat is revealed, hanging over the armrest of the bench. The mage's favorite drill coat no more than a short reach away.

Well then. That hadn't gone according to plan--Marcus was without his trusty bat and had nothing to show for it, Namine narrowly avoided the blunt object and now had it within her grasp to use for her own means. Gustave had subtly motioned for him to take his spare and he had done so without question, gripping the handle of the sword with his left hand and hastily retrieving it from his comrades side. Positioning his wielding hand accordingly with a hardened grip for the time being, his left wasn't his dominant by any means, but with his right arm currently undergoing a transformation it wouldn't be able to wield it at the moment.

”Brace yourself,” Which may have been an obvious statement. Kae's advance probably was duly noted by his teammate, but on the off chance, Marcus’ stout observation came into play. Then came a projectile, if it could be considered that, which aimed to collide with Gustave's shield. Why? Why did they always go for the shield? Marcus’ feet firmly planted themselves and his knees slightly bent, preparing his stance for the sudden impact, assuming Gustave had been caught off guard by the force. On the off chance he had, Marcus’ legs began to build and store energy.

Then it happened. Marcus’ right arm twisted into a grotesque appendage, resembling that of a tentacle, which six additional five foot tentacles swayed from. Which brandished their own row of fangs unseen to their opponents. Due to their distance and current positioning, it wouldn't be put to use for the time being.

Dos.
