Leon was quite in the rush as he entered the subway. The snarl that appeared on his face shown his level of disdain as he stepped onto the transportation system. He was more used to the relaxing space of a tour bus, or a solitary space of his spacecraft, but this completely cooped up Train space, just wasn’t cutting it for him. The options however that he had on travel was pretty limited, especially since he was supposed to meet his partner and opposition here. However, what he didn’t expect was how cooped up a train was, never actually having to ride one before

There was also something else he never did before, share the stage with a partner. Sure he had bandmates, but never did he have a straight up guest affect his performance like how it was now. It would seem that would have to change. His eyes locked toward what seemed to be a miasma that seemed to seep from the grating. He only slightly turned his eye toward it, trying not to pay that much attention to it, instead he took a nearby seat. It seemed he was right, as the miasma force he would see his partner form back into the mortal coil.

Good.

Now he just needed to work HIS Magic.

Before he would sit down, about two seats away from his partner. He unstrapped his guitar from the back and gave a quick sit down. However, he did not play It would be best for him and his ally to find their Audience first.

Lord knows he shouldn’t start the show without them.

One

Somehow, perhaps in his rush to be on time, Leon had completely missed the looming presence just outside the train car; a behemoth man-snake with full-blade in tow, and a lingering contempt for all non-serpents.

Before the extra-terrestrial front-man had a chance to get his foot in the door, he would feel first a solid grip upon the scruff of his neck. There would be no time given to completely comprehend the sensation before another took its place; one of weightlessness, and vertigo, as Grakav snatched the alien up…

And tossed him into the cabin.

Given that the Serpentine’s “teammate” was standing just inside, and more towards the back/far side of the car, he instead hurled Leon towards the front of the train; effectively separating the two members of Make Waves from one another inside the vehicle.

Regardless, the hulking viper would stride onto the train in his opponent’s wake; moving his body, and tail, inside as the doors hissed shut behind him. Grakav would slide into position behind Ferris, back-to-back; shifting his massive sword out ahead of him, and allowing the downturned point to rest on the floor.

The car lurched forward as the ride began, and with it...the battle.

Devotion :: As a servant of the Entropic Serpent God, Vis'st, Grakav may call upon supernatural powers; aiding himself in battle by showing Devotion to his deity, and acting in accordance with his beliefs. Greatest among these are the rites of "Worshipful Warfare"; blending combat and ritual together as blood is shared by Grakav and his foes. Devotion itself is not so much a pool of energy as it is a means to access said power; represented by Grakav's abilities going on "Cool-down" until he has sufficient Devotion to use them again. As an example, if he utilized an ability with a Devotion cost of (4)four, then he would need to generate (4)four points of Devotion in order to come off of "Cool-down", In this way, all of Grakav's abilities share global cool-downs between his three stances; meaning that in order to use an ability from any of the three schools he must be off cool-down, and thus not negative in any amount of Devotion. Typically, his cool-down feature functions like normal; with one point of Devotion being recovered at each of Grakav's combat turns. However, in order to gain that point, he and his opponent must be engaged in Active Conflict; with additional points of Devotion available if the other criteria are met(see below). Finally, Grakav cannot generate Devotion from effects caused by his Acts; such as using Throne of Vis'st to gain +2 Devotion on blocked supernatural attacks.

The frequent flyer remained cool as his opponent sailed through the train car entrance on his other side. His eyes lazily went from him to the man sitting down with the newspaper, a thick aura of power seeping from him. If anyone truly set the mood for the fight Ferris would have to guess it was the man in the suit. His grey hair and menacing presence screamed wizard. Of what caliber he was, Ferris was uncertain. What he did know was any wizard was dangerous, even a small amount of power could do a lot, and if he was mad a small amount of power meant nothing. Any half cocked warlock wanting for power could make a deal with a devil. Any man who named himself Devil was just asking for trouble.

Pondering on his opponents would do him no good. It was time for action. As Gakav slid into position with a hiss, Ferris rotated to keep his back to his ally and face down the Warlock. Clutched in his hand a large dagger with barbed edges long enough to partially cover his already armored hand. He raised an eyebrow and addressed the man. "Hardly the time be reading, it seems your ally has already started his march towards losing, you may want to follow his lead."

Chapter One: [The Show Begins:](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhIEH5IeFXY&index=153&list=WL) With a Lacking of Artistic Flair

Sparkling with the glint of diamond, the mage's snow white glove rose up to brush through dulled strands. The influential bluish mist returning as the man combed through his hair. Droplets of liquid magic refracting the train car's flickering lights in a myriad of colors as they gathered upon a single point, forming a crystal [40/50]. "If knowledge is power, then one must take every opportunity to observe." Karne retorted, rising from the uncomfortable seating. "I would refrain from judgement, and presume competence until evidence suggests the contrary. I would suggest you do the same" the mage declared.

Fingers curled in the tightly fitted gloves as the mage confirmed their fit, disregarding the jacket hanging upon the bench's armrest. Before taking a comfortable stance, the self proclaimed Devilman [no relation] extended out his right hand, middle finger arisen and directed towards his opponent. The gesture itself drawing comparison to the frequently used form of dismissal by the human race, but serving more purpose here. Directed by the act, mana channeled and crystallized within the left palm of Karne. A softball sized object of structured energy, charged with the explosive payload of 300 pounds of force now in the mage's possession [39/50]. The mage stood a stance, like nothing a man with zero intentions of meeting fists. Loose, casual, Karne appeared more prepared to adjust a non-existent tie, then to parry a strike.

Gustave Aodhart: Shenanigans Post 2/20

Things were getting a little interesting as Gustave watched one of his opponents engage the environment with a series of vines. She had already displayed a proclivity for stabbing implements, and had also showed that she could use those implements with her vines with the same ease as if she held it in hand.

Why, then, was her next attack this way? The mistress with the vines wrapped a vine around the pole nearest Gustave (presumably) and let the vine whip around before enlarging into a heafty mass of rosewood. It was aimed for the upper half of his shield, so the center of the mass would hit just about where Gustave's fist was resting against the hide backing.

At the moment of impact, something changed in the sorcerer. He could have avoided it. This attack wasn't only it's final culmination, but rather an elaborate mechanism. While Gustave wouldn't have known the final outcome, he could see what was about to happen based on all of the other smaller actions leading to the endgame. He chose not to. There was ulatimately no need against such a direct show of force. As wood met the metal face, Gustave's limbs flashed bright red in scale-like patterns, visible even through his metal armor and thick clothing.

He absorbed the force of the blow like a stone wall, stepping into the strike and shoving it back, even as the metal face of his shield buckled and warped near the top rim. A muffled crackle could be heard in close proximity, but ultimately the laminated nature of this shield would allow it to hold it's shape and remain useful. Meanwhile, the iron-like hardness in his forearm and fist, coupled with the distributive nature of the shield surface and the magical shock-absorbing properties of his enchantment allowed Gustave to walk into this attack like it was nothing.

He stepped in with his left foot, diffusing some of the force to his right. "Come on girl, you're more creative than that."

The sorcerer taunted as he snapped his right arm open towards the approaching Namine. She ducked low, hiding in Gustave's blind spot, but a dragon was never turly blind. While Gustave couldn't feel her specific movements, he could detect her body and her acceleration within a ten foot radius, so he knew where she was. His arm opened wide, turning at the elbow and rotating the angle of his shield to slide under the woody mass in front of him (assuming it could resist the push of a single arm) aiming to strike Namine clean across the side of her head with the bottom right curve of his sheild near the tip. He would simultaneously be stepping in towards Namine, fully intent on driving his body directly into hers to trip her over the Bench that was a mere six inches away against the train wall.

In addition his skin from the elbow down, and from the knee down become hard like iron for the duration. Gustave does not gain AP while focusing on this active, as though he were concentrating on a spell.

As Marcus' arm split apart into a bouquet of vile appendages, the symbiote shuddered and halted her advance - not in fear, but in some sick anticipation of what it might feel like to have those things hook around her chest in a different context. Partly driven by her own imagination and partly by the parasite aching to unfold itself into full bloom, the fantasy colored her cheeks so much she only caught the tail end of the dragon knight's counter, seeing him try to hem in her partner with a body check. He'd tipped her strike over, redirecting its force and bulk, so she released the grip with her right vine, shrinking it back with a 'snap' over the lip of the shield as its partner gobbled the ponderous mass right back up into the Rose's bulk.

Taking advantage of the opening now offered by Gustave having to turn in towards the nymph, it ducked right back under the device, latching onto a target both close by and juicy - the man's head. Specifically... his left ear. Like a starfish, the fine tips of corded wood splayed apart once again, latching onto the orifice and surrounding cheek and jaw by wrapping around the cartilage, only to plunge inside and lance through the tender eardrum, digging into flesh with cruel barbs that had no business being penetrated in such a brusque manner, and dragging the b*****d by the head back away from Namine. The pain... would be exquisite.

The very thought made Kae's thighs clench so hard she actually whimpered aloud, going slightly pigeon-toed in her stance as she continued to level the point of her pike at the transforming Marcus, keen to exploit his movements the moment an opportunity prevented itself.

"Namine hurry..." Kae whined. "I can hardly... contain it..." The kimono draped over her arms and bust slipped a bit for emphasis, now holding on to her modesty only by the breath of some spirit beyond.

By any other name would smell as sweet!

The man should watch what he throws.

As Leon was gripped by the back of his neck. He gave little resistance, no need for it really as he was heading in anyway. Leon’s body was flung toward the front of the train, however. Before even remotely hitting the wall, his body began to slow down in the air, before suddenly Leon Gently laid his back at the front train door. The Magnetic cling to the door was mostly to keep him supported and his eyes open to the front of him.

Basic Movements

show spoilerhide spoilerWith Control of the Electromagnetic spectrum, This grants Leon certain movement that many others do not have. Being able to Cling onto walls and glide in the air with enough focus. Whist gliding however, leon only travels at about 15 miles. With a single turn of focus Leon can also super jump. This allows him to just Five feet in the air on top of his already 44 inch vertical leap (3 Feet.). He can essentially charge his jump per turn (For a Maximum of Three turns.) Each turn will grant him an additional 5 feet (A Fifteen foot maximum vertical leap.) With the Cooldown rate doubled (Six Turns maximum) While abilities like Gliding and Wall clinging are completely passive and have no cooldown or charge period.

Whoever attacked him was certainly still around and he needed to keep his eyes and his ears open. He held his hand out in front of him. His guitar which was about 3 feet away strewn on a nearby seat. Electricity cackled from his fingers as it collided with the guitar, the current magnetically tracing the guitar back to the Alien. With The guitar back in his hand, It was time to set back the mood. He began to play, his finger dancing throughout the frets, waiting patiently for his opposition.

Unfortunately for the alien, who’s sudden flight had transitioned into a much gentler landing, Grakav was watching his descent the entire time. Upon realizing that his foe wouldn’t be slammed into the far wall, as intended, the Serpentine would twist the haft of his blade and step forward with an angry hiss!

His broad shoulders bulged as he hoisted the Vis’st’oks up, and across; first slamming the giant sword into the poles on his left, bending them away with a metallic scream, and then sending it back to completely sever the bracings on his right.

Thus, as Leon landed and moved to collect his instrument, he would witness the encroaching wrath of his foe; overly large mouth peeled back to reveal Grakav’s fangs, and his terrifying fullblade plowing through subway poles like a scythe through wheat. Every hit was a cacophony of steel; filling the whole car with ungodly screeches, and bangs. Even his footfalls were like thunder, and he practically charged across the space between them.

If the extraterrestrial front-man remained committed to the urge to play his guitar, he would find his personal space invaded by the vicious Viper; his large sword easily clearing the five-feet between them as Grakav moved to cleave Leon in twain.

Post 3 - Dread 3 (+1)

With Kae's advances forcefully rebuffed, Namine never found the opening that she was looking for, but pressed on nonetheless. She forced her way into Gustave's mind with an insidious smirk, planting a threat towards the dragon's hoard, and then ducked down low and readied the bat facing upward. [+1 Dread]

Natalis wanted to play, too. Feeding off of Namine's surging emotions and raw essence, her tendrils engorged to almost twice their regular girth, the slimy black mass swelling out two more feet to a total length of six feet. The tips of the tentacles reached near the hem of her dress, and the vile scene from the manga suddenly flashed back into her mind. [3 Dread Morph]

Snapping back to reality, Namine turned to face Gustave as he stepped into her and bashed towards her noggin. Her body dropped further down into a squat, as her right tentacle flexed upwards against the shield, catching the shield's face in its suckers and dispersing the impact.

As the dragon pushed into her, Namine felt her back press into the chair but she did not fall over it. She commanded her right tentacle's tip to swing upward and worm its way around Gustave's right arm, as the base maintained its suction on the shield. She then ordered her left tentacle to ensnare Gustave's left foot and force him off balance, leveraging its full six-foot span. Combined with Kae's assault, Gustave might be in a little world of pain, as three parts of him were ripped in different directions.

Namine angled her bat towards Marcus, keeping him well within her view. "I spy THREE parasites," Namine teased the crowd, her aura starting to truly bloom.

Kraken's Grip Wrote:

> The tendrils shift to a tentacular state, growing much larger (6 feet in length) with power comparable to an elite human strongman, with cephalopod-like suckers for a mighty grip. However, the tentacles become much slower in their movements, making them less able to capture nimble opponents.

Kae and Namine’s positioning was duly noted, as was their attack coordination, this advantage came with the territory of playing defensively. After realizing that Gustave was dealing with the brunt of their force, surprisingly well, Marcus’ assistance was finally needed. Namine was being dealt with for the time being, which left him to engage Kae, who was currently experiencing quite the climax and attempting to violate Gustave’s ear. With a side step and a hand raise, the vine that threatened to latch onto his comrade's ear would be taken care of, the sharpened blade of the falchion would make quick work of the vegetation. Chopping through it with its tip heavy balance. His goal was to take care of the attack after it had originally cleared Gustave’s shield and before it actually made contact.

Once that had been accomplished, it was time to take care of the creator of said violating attack, Kae herself. Blackened bone jutted from Marcus’ back, weaving and spiraling intricately to encase his torso in an exoskeleton, a majority of his back was coated prior to his launch, but his torso wouldn’t be entirely coated until he reached his opponent. Using the stored energy in his legs, Marcus kicked off and fired forward, closing what distance they had between one another in the blink of an eye. But Kae was armed with a spear, so getting too close wouldn't be too intelligent, Marcus aimed to cut his gap closer a bit short than initially planned. For he anticipated Kae's counter. Had the spear came forward, Marcus aimed to use the concave tip of the falchion to move the spear aside. His advance would complete with a step forward.

From there, the falchion would be put to use again, outlining a cut from Kae's head in one fluent movement. From riposte to cut. Marcus’ arm would halt just as his elbow peaked forward and the tip of the falchion would drop with it. His right, mutated arm, flailed outward, tentacles aimed to meet and constrict anything within their five-foot grasp, including Kae's own tendrils if able. Had they have latched onto any exposed flesh, their fangs would sink in and begin violently pumping a neurotoxin into her bloodstream. Which would cause minor paralysis on whatever limb they injected.

Tres.

Insanity: 2/10.

[+1 Insanity for combat post, -2 Insanity for Kraken's Maw and activation of ability You Gotta Be Chitin' Me targetting Marcus' chest.]

Flea Flicker

show spoilerhide spoilerFlea Flicker: Marcus is able to store a vast amount of energy within his legs and launch himself with said energy. This energy will be stored passively upon the activation of the ability, capping off at three charges. Each charge costs one point of Insanity. A single charge will enable him to leap forward/backward in ten foot increments(a maximum of thirty feet with three charges). This ability can also be used offensively, but the distance is halved, upon connecting his opponent will be launched the remaining distance. For example, if three charges are used, Marcus will jump fifteen feet and knock his opponent back fifteen feet. Whenever the ability is used a cooldown of two posts will come into effect.

Kraken's Maw

show spoilerhide spoilerKraken's Maw: Marcus is able to mutate his arm into a mess of tentacles; six exactly. On the bottom of each tentacle is a row of teeth. Much like that of a rattlesnake these teeth act as a fang that're connected by vencom ducts to large poison glands near the outer edge of the tentacle. The glands produce a neurotoxin that causes muscle spasms for a total of two posts. Kraken's Maw cannot occur instantly and must happen over the span of a post, during this time the mutation cannot be used in any deliberate way. A point of Insanity must be spent to mutate and it must be continued to be paid for each post it is active. Any damage to the appendage will carry over to his arm if it is reverted back.

You Gotta Be Chitin Me

show spoilerhide spoilerYou Gotta Be Chitin Me: Marcus can further mutate his second skin as long as it hasn't been previously damaged, at the cost of one Insanity per limb. Multiple limbs can be targetted as long as multiple Insanity is spent. This mutation will transform his second skin into an exoskeleton, equivilent to that of plate mail, albeit somewhat lighter. The armor will limit his mobility and speed accordingly, but will add impact to his blows due to the extra weight. Due to being made of bone, it has weakness to sheer force, such as twisting or cranking. Any damage in that category will be highly destructive; as bone is not strong in that regard. This ability is also Marcus' only magical defense, capable of resisting 1,000°F before charring. Only able to absorb the cold for so long before becoming brittle. Anything acidic will render it useless and electricity is just as viable. This ability must continue to be paid for following the initial post and has a cool down of one post between each use.

It was after grabbing his guitar that he seen his attacker, a reptilian-like creature with an enlarged maw, and elongated teeth, that seemed to be more than just for show. Certainly, seeing a monster like that would sway a man from playing, but no. A True performer is never swayed by a weird experience, or in this case a very rowdy crowd one in which detached him from the support of his bandmate. It would seem that he had to fight his way through. As he continued to play, however, it would seem his target was attempting to dive into him. Instead of stopping he stared at his opposition and opened his own mouth.

Letting out a bellowing howl.

The howl suddenly began to draft a very high wind, almost completely dangerous speeds of 200MPH. With the only reason, Leon stuck to the wall was his Magnetic cling to the metal siding of the train. If the ability had any effect it would blow away the opposition a fair distance away. It was mostly an attempt to rebuff and reobtain his focus, besides. The act always needs space from their adoring fans after all.
